- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello, Hello, Hello everybody. Welcome to you money your own business.
- 0:04Speaker 1: I'm your host, god is Asha Mary. I'm'a thank you
- 0:06Speaker 1: guys for joining me for this episode. I was not
- 0:10Speaker 1: going to do a podcast at first, but I saw
- 0:13Speaker 1: something that I really wanted to speak on, So I'm
- 0:17Speaker 1: not gonna do the intro today because this is.
- 0:20Speaker 2: A little bit more personal than it is.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Doing the normal podcast I do because I watched something
- 0:29Speaker 1: that completely blew my mind, and even though I'm not
- 0:33Speaker 1: going through it now, I do remember these particular type
- 0:37Speaker 1: of feelings that I just wanted to share now. For
- 0:40Speaker 1: those of y'all who don't know, I am a certified recovery,
- 0:43Speaker 1: healing and recovery coach that is about helping people on
- 0:46Speaker 1: their paths and the journeys and their purpose to a
- 0:48Speaker 1: new and better version of themselves and help ingem through addictions.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I'm trying to find the root causes of these addictions
- 0:55Speaker 1: and the root causes of low self esteem, low self worth,
- 0:59Speaker 1: low self I use you not respecting yourself, not believe
- 1:03Speaker 1: in yourself when no one else does.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Well, even though no one else does, helping people to.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Just build that backup and have a new frame of mind.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Because I feel like that healing is a lot more
- 1:22Speaker 1: than what we've been taught. And I think once you
- 1:25Speaker 1: hear one thing, everything else will hear itself. So if
- 1:30Speaker 1: there are steps that you have to go through when
- 1:32Speaker 1: it comes to healing, and I learned that there's a
- 1:36Speaker 1: process that you have to go through in order to
- 1:38Speaker 1: heal and recover.
- 1:39Speaker 2: But today I'm.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Doing a series that is the Golden Child series, but
- 1:45Speaker 1: I'm doing it in different facets.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Also my podcast.
- 1:49Speaker 1: This will be the series for the actual all of them.
- 1:55Speaker 1: The difference is each one I will be dealing with
- 1:57Speaker 1: from a different perspective, depending on and if it's self esteem,
- 2:02Speaker 1: self worth, and self values, if it's you focusing on yourself,
- 2:07Speaker 1: if it's spiritually, if it's mental psychologically, if it's internally
- 2:12Speaker 1: and in externally, when it comes to your health and wellness,
- 2:16Speaker 1: how your family dynamics impacts your health and wellness.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Now I am laying down, so but let's get into it.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I saw a video about a young girl who paid
- 2:30Speaker 1: four hundred and fifty thousand dollars for every since she
- 2:35Speaker 1: was young, taking care of her her sister's sibling, and
- 2:39Speaker 1: taking care of her mother and father. Now, mind you
- 2:44Speaker 1: This happens quite a lot when it comes to the
- 2:47Speaker 1: golden child's syndrome. And for those of y'all who don't
- 2:50Speaker 1: know what the golden child's syndrome is, let me go
- 2:52Speaker 1: ahead on and tell you what it is. The golden
- 2:55Speaker 1: child's syndrome is a child that can't do no wrong,
- 2:58Speaker 1: the child that the parents will go above and beyond
- 3:03Speaker 1: to make sure they're happy, the one that they think,
- 3:06Speaker 1: because they're sensitive, the one they think that it's going
- 3:09Speaker 1: to be the successor the one that they think is
- 3:13Speaker 1: going to be their best friend. That's the one they
- 3:16Speaker 1: focus on. It can even be step children as well.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Like if one of your parents pass away and your
- 3:24Speaker 1: other parent gets married or gets new boyfriend, new girlfriend.
- 3:27Speaker 2: They act lack, You don't exist.
- 3:30Speaker 1: They're the ones that when it comes to the parents,
- 3:34Speaker 1: they'll invest in them, they'll pay their way through school,
- 3:37Speaker 1: they'll give them the best clothes, they'll give them the
- 3:40Speaker 1: best of everything, and you just get hand me downs.
- 3:44Speaker 1: They don't make it to any of your events. You
- 3:46Speaker 1: may go through some type of mental, psychological, emotional abuse,
- 3:51Speaker 1: even physical abuse. You may go through say, for example,
- 3:55Speaker 1: you make good grades and you're the one that actually
- 3:58Speaker 1: is doing the right thing or still doing the wrong thing.
- 4:01Speaker 1: You're never gonna be good enough, You're never gonna be worthy.
- 4:04Speaker 1: They never put the same expectations on your sibling or
- 4:09Speaker 1: siblings as they do you. So this syndrome happens more
- 4:15Speaker 1: so than not. But it's never talked about though. And
- 4:20Speaker 1: I think that a lot of us are dating those
- 4:22Speaker 1: golden syndrome those golden siblings, those golden child's siblings, the
- 4:27Speaker 1: ones that you know they can't do no wrong. And
- 4:30Speaker 1: now you're the one going through what that sibling went through.
- 4:34Speaker 1: That's why I said, when I date somebody, I always,
- 4:37Speaker 1: you know, end up getting to know the sibling. Could
- 4:41Speaker 1: a sibling gonna tell me everything that the parents ain't
- 4:43Speaker 1: gonna tell me? So that's the way I look at that.
- 4:48Speaker 1: But did I go through that? I sure did. I
- 4:54Speaker 1: went through that, And now the tides have turned. But
- 4:57Speaker 1: see that's the one thing about it, though, the hides
- 5:00Speaker 1: definitely do turn. Eventually you are the one they gonna
- 5:05Speaker 1: start looking at differently because eventually they realize what how
- 5:11Speaker 1: they've raised that golden child.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Sometimes they don't.
- 5:15Speaker 1: There there's ones that even if the child go to jail,
- 5:18Speaker 1: they'll still build them out, They'll still take care of 'em.
- 5:21Speaker 1: They'll still invest in they scams or whatever they do.
- 5:25Speaker 1: They'll even ch do things illegal to help that child.
- 5:30Speaker 1: They'll even have you to pay for their cars or
- 5:35Speaker 1: pay for their rent, put stuff in your name. These kids,
- 5:39Speaker 1: these parents will even forge your signature, you know, go
- 5:44Speaker 1: into your bank account, spend all kinds of money on
- 5:47Speaker 1: a sibling that will never reciprocate it. So if your
- 5:52Speaker 1: family's not gonna reciprocate it, what makes you think everybody
- 5:55Speaker 1: else gonna reciprocate it. See, that's the problem. You think
- 5:59Speaker 1: that everybody else is gonna do what your parents did.
- 6:03Speaker 1: And that is mommy, daddy child's syndrome. And the reason
- 6:08Speaker 1: I want to talk about this and why it is
- 6:09Speaker 1: so important when it comes to you minding your own business, Honey,
- 6:14Speaker 1: it starts with family. Because everything you do when it
- 6:17Speaker 1: come to your family is what you're gonna do when
- 6:19Speaker 1: it come to everybody else. So how your family treats
- 6:23Speaker 1: you is how everybody else gonna treat you if you
- 6:26Speaker 1: don't put a stop to it, if you don't bring
- 6:28Speaker 1: back boundaries when they come to your parents. When it
- 6:32Speaker 1: comes to the invisible child syndrome, That's another one we'll
- 6:36Speaker 1: be talking about too, is invisible child syndrome, and that
- 6:40Speaker 1: is the child that has never ever ever looked at
- 6:43Speaker 1: the one that they tell you you gotta pay your
- 6:46Speaker 1: way through school, that you gotta pay rent, so on
- 6:49Speaker 1: and so forth, and the other child don't have to
- 6:51Speaker 1: do anything.
- 6:52Speaker 2: So you have the golden child versus the invisible child.
- 6:56Speaker 1: So there are two different types of children, but at
- 7:00Speaker 1: the same time, it happens all the time. The minute
- 7:05Speaker 1: you become successful, that's when they come asking you to
- 7:09Speaker 1: pay bills. That's when they come to you asking you
- 7:12Speaker 1: to do something. Now I do thank God my parents
- 7:15Speaker 1: don't do that. Thank God for that. But that don't
- 7:18Speaker 1: mean I didn't go through it now, mind you. You know,
- 7:21Speaker 1: I do everything I can to help my parents in
- 7:23Speaker 1: whatever way that I can. You know, I'll try to
- 7:26Speaker 1: be there for them. But my relationship with them changed
- 7:30Speaker 1: because I put boundaries. I have boundaries, and I love
- 7:36Speaker 1: my parents, Lord knows them. But that don't mean it
- 7:39Speaker 1: was perfect, because it wasn't. So what I will say
- 7:42Speaker 1: is is somebody who experienced that, you know, I really
- 7:48Speaker 1: had to come to terms with the fact that we
- 7:52Speaker 1: would never be treated the same but that has since
- 7:57Speaker 1: changed because, like I said, things change. But at the
- 8:02Speaker 1: same time, you know, I had to put my foot down.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I had to say that I wasn't going to Noma
- 8:11Speaker 1: because I've been the one that has done it multiple times.
- 8:16Speaker 1: So you know, again, like I said, you know, going
- 8:20Speaker 1: through something like that is horrible and I don't wish
- 8:23Speaker 1: that on anybody. But we shouldn't be treating our children
- 8:28Speaker 1: in that way because one you may think it's your favorite,
- 8:33Speaker 1: but at the end of the day, both children need
- 8:36Speaker 1: their parents. It's just one is raised to be independent.
- 8:41Speaker 1: One is raised to be self sufficient. One is raised
- 8:44Speaker 1: to be dominant. One is raised that she can't depend
- 8:47Speaker 1: on her family, that her family just does the bear
- 8:50Speaker 1: minimal Like for example, one child may get a Rolls Royce,
- 8:55Speaker 1: the other one gets a used car. One gets a
- 8:58Speaker 1: free ride, the other one doesn't. One gets to go
- 9:01Speaker 1: to Paris and gets to go see the world, the
- 9:04Speaker 1: other one is working three or four jobs just to
- 9:08Speaker 1: be able to pay their way through school. That same one,
- 9:12Speaker 1: the one that paid their way through school, that's the
- 9:14Speaker 1: one that's gonna be successful, not the one.
- 9:17Speaker 2: That is the golden child. It's just like the one
- 9:21Speaker 2: that I was.
- 9:22Speaker 1: But back to that story, it was to the point
- 9:26Speaker 1: where when she confronted her parents about the situation, they
- 9:30Speaker 1: just kept.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Saying, we treated you equally, and she's like, no, you didn't.
- 9:34Speaker 2: You did not treat me equally.
- 9:35Speaker 1: And the problem is instead of the parents listening and
- 9:39Speaker 1: acknowledging that and taking accountability, it ain't none of that.
- 9:43Speaker 1: It's just like families that ask you for money and
- 9:46Speaker 1: at first it's thank you, we appreciate it. It's only
- 9:48Speaker 1: gonna be temporary till it being permanent, and you still
- 9:52Speaker 1: don't get your money back. You ain't never gonna see
- 9:54Speaker 1: the money that you give somebody. That's why I tell
- 9:56Speaker 1: people when it comes to personally, I'm not doing it
- 9:59Speaker 1: no more.
- 10:00Speaker 2: I'm not. I refuse to.
- 10:03Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, you know, stuff
- 10:05Speaker 1: like this don't necessarily, you know, surprise me at all.
- 10:11Speaker 1: So when it comes down to these situations and stuff
- 10:15Speaker 1: like that, it it don't really, you know, shock me
- 10:20Speaker 1: when it comes down to that. But what I will
- 10:23Speaker 1: say is that a lot of people do go through it.
- 10:29Speaker 1: A lot of people are in therapy because of it,
- 10:31Speaker 1: because of the Golden Child syndrome and the invisible child syndrome.
- 10:35Speaker 1: They really are in therapy because of it, because that's
- 10:39Speaker 1: a huge one, you know, because that love you didn't
- 10:42Speaker 1: get from your parents. Well, guess what that that doesn't
- 10:46Speaker 1: just happen with your parents. It also happens with your friends,
- 10:48Speaker 1: your significant others, your exes. Yeah, that's where you get
- 10:54Speaker 1: that from your parents, because you have a sibling that
- 10:57Speaker 1: is the favorite. So for example, you have Miley's sych
- 11:00Speaker 1: Risk that has three brothers and sisters, and we four now,
- 11:04Speaker 1: and she's the one that everybody knows.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Nobody knows the other three siblings. It's just like with.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Who is that Beyonce. We all know Solange, but Beyonce
- 11:17Speaker 1: is the one that everybody knows. Solange is just someone
- 11:21Speaker 1: that we know because of her sister, but Beyonce is
- 11:26Speaker 1: the one that's in front. It's just like when it
- 11:29Speaker 1: comes to Beyonce, Kelly, Michelle, lata Via LaToya, Beyonces the
- 11:34Speaker 1: one and everybody knows you know.
- 11:37Speaker 2: So again, you know, in the end, it's always gonna.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Be that one that's gonna be the favorite and everybody
- 11:43Speaker 1: else gonna be like chop liver basically, So it happens
- 11:48Speaker 1: more so than not. But the sad part about it
- 11:52Speaker 1: is how do we heal from that? How do we
- 11:54Speaker 1: heal from the pain of thirty something years? You know,
- 11:57Speaker 1: forty something years you've been taking care of your family
- 12:01Speaker 1: and not once do they say thank you? Not once
- 12:05Speaker 1: are they trying to be there to support you. Then
- 12:07Speaker 1: tell you one day that you can't come to Thanksgiving dinner.
- 12:10Speaker 1: You paid for a trip and they're telling you now
- 12:12Speaker 1: you can't go on the trip. You out of town,
- 12:14Speaker 1: You come home, your siblings in your house because your
- 12:17Speaker 1: mother let that person in your house. They took your
- 12:21Speaker 1: house and redecorated your house, to redesigned your house, sold.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Your house while you gome.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Honey, when I tell you the stuff that go on,
- 12:30Speaker 1: and these the stories I be listening to, it ain't
- 12:34Speaker 1: even funny. But all this stuff happens in real life.
- 12:38Speaker 1: You can have a beach house and you know you
- 12:43Speaker 1: bought it for yourself, and now all your family want
- 12:46Speaker 1: to go down there every summer, tear it up, don't
- 12:48Speaker 1: clean up, and make a mess.
- 12:51Speaker 2: And then I come down in my house is a mess.
- 12:53Speaker 1: And then they destroyed my house and then don't wanna
- 12:56Speaker 1: pay to fix it. So again, Yeah, when you get
- 12:59Speaker 1: all this stuff for you know, as far as your
- 13:01Speaker 1: house and stuff like that, and you get a new
- 13:04Speaker 1: house and everybody want to come over. You might have
- 13:07Speaker 1: a situation where you're talking about buying a house and
- 13:09Speaker 1: they saying, well, maybe you should give your house to
- 13:12Speaker 1: your sibling. Say what now, why would I give my
- 13:15Speaker 1: house to my sibling? Or they may say why don't
- 13:18Speaker 1: you let your sibling move in and you can.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Take the couch? Excuse you.
- 13:23Speaker 1: It's bad when when that person has to take the
- 13:26Speaker 1: house that they bought and now they have to move
- 13:30Speaker 1: out of they house because they family members keep trying
- 13:34Speaker 1: to take over their stuff. It's bad when a sibling
- 13:38Speaker 1: has to leave town because their family is just so problematic.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Then the crazy part is they want to bring all
- 13:45Speaker 1: your family involved, call your job, trying to make it
- 13:48Speaker 1: seem like you're mentally unstable because they mad because they
- 13:51Speaker 1: can't get what they want. Luckily, some people will see
- 13:55Speaker 1: straight through it. Others end up losing their jobs because
- 13:58Speaker 1: of it. So this happens more so than not. Believe
- 14:03Speaker 1: it or not, It really does. So, like I said,
- 14:06Speaker 1: at the end of the day, it come a time
- 14:08Speaker 1: where you do have to think about yourself and the
- 14:11Speaker 1: only reason that People always say that certain people are
- 14:14Speaker 1: selfish because they told them no, not for any other reason.
- 14:20Speaker 1: That person told you no for a reason. It ain't
- 14:22Speaker 1: like they just saying no. No, They saying no because
- 14:26Speaker 1: every time they've given you money, every time they've done something.
- 14:29Speaker 2: For you, you've never reciprocated it, and you never returned it.
- 14:33Speaker 1: After a while, people get tired of being used and
- 14:35Speaker 1: taking advantage of, especially when they look at how much
- 14:39Speaker 1: money they gave that person. Then they ain't never gonna
- 14:42Speaker 1: see no more. It's no different than women when it
- 14:45Speaker 1: come and men when it comes to their exes. It's
- 14:48Speaker 1: same thing. So this happens more times than not. But
- 14:54Speaker 1: I get it though, So you know, it's just like
- 14:59Speaker 1: if something happens to you your parents, you're the one
- 15:02Speaker 1: that's gonna be the one that depend on.
- 15:04Speaker 2: But they'll never ask that sibling for nothing.
- 15:06Speaker 1: They'll never ask them to pay that back the money,
- 15:09Speaker 1: but they'll expect you to. They'll never ask them to
- 15:13Speaker 1: help out because they'll say, well, they need their money
- 15:16Speaker 1: because they have a family. But yet because you're single,
- 15:20Speaker 1: they think that you don't have anything going on, them
- 15:24Speaker 1: asking you to keep keep your your siblings, kids and
- 15:27Speaker 1: you're like, no, I'm not keeping them. Why you being selfish?
- 15:30Speaker 1: Because I don't want to keep them. I don't need
- 15:33Speaker 1: to keep them. She need to get a date, she
- 15:35Speaker 1: need to get daycare, or they miss you know, disrespect
- 15:39Speaker 1: your business and what you do.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Mm mmm no, thank you. So I get it. I
- 15:47Speaker 2: understand it.
- 15:51Speaker 1: But no, So it's always something when they come to
- 15:58Speaker 1: siblings civil it's like sibling that to me is stupid.
- 16:02Speaker 1: I don't even feed into sibling rivalry cause I don't
- 16:06Speaker 1: even see the point of it because I'm not gonna
- 16:08Speaker 1: be fighting against my sibling for what not for the
- 16:11Speaker 1: attention of my parents.
- 16:12Speaker 2: I'm not doing none of that. At the end of
- 16:15Speaker 2: the day, Like.
- 16:16Speaker 1: I said, you know, I'm not worried about you know
- 16:20Speaker 1: that situations. But I've been there when it comes to that,
- 16:24Speaker 1: so again, I just don't even worry about it. After
- 16:28Speaker 1: a while, independent people don't even worry about their family.
- 16:32Speaker 2: They don't even.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Care about the fact that their their siblings a favorite.
- 16:37Speaker 1: They don't even care to after a while, after while,
- 16:40Speaker 1: I don't even bother them because they have come to
- 16:42Speaker 1: terms with what that really is and the fact that
- 16:46Speaker 1: they accept things for what they are and not what
- 16:48Speaker 1: they want them to be. So being that I accept
- 16:51Speaker 1: things for what they are, I'm not worried about any
- 16:53Speaker 1: of that.
- 16:57Speaker 2: So I don't don't see the point of it, honestly.
- 17:02Speaker 1: So, like I said, after a while, you like, okay,
- 17:07Speaker 1: I'm not gonna let it bother me. So it's it's
- 17:10Speaker 1: like that with my family too, where it was like that.
- 17:13Speaker 1: So you know, when you're the one that everybody thinks
- 17:18Speaker 1: is the crazy one, You're the one they think something
- 17:21Speaker 1: is wrong with you, when in all actuality, there's nothing
- 17:25Speaker 1: wrong with you.
- 17:26Speaker 2: It's just you're always the strong.
- 17:28Speaker 1: One and you can never break, you can never express
- 17:31Speaker 1: your feelings. And so a lot of men at like
- 17:34Speaker 1: they can't understand why women are emotionally intelligent. Why a
- 17:40Speaker 1: lot of women are not emotional like they should be, uh,
- 17:44Speaker 1: because they were raised not to be to like any man,
- 17:47Speaker 1: a woman can be raised that there their emotions are
- 17:51Speaker 1: not you know, worth it or whatever. So this happens
- 17:57Speaker 1: all the time more so than not. So the sad
- 18:01Speaker 1: part about it is is when something like that does happen,
- 18:04Speaker 1: you gotta decide what it is that you want to do.
- 18:10Speaker 1: So I get it though, I really really do. But
- 18:15Speaker 1: this happens a lot. When it was I'm sorry, y'all,
- 18:19Speaker 1: somebody was calling my phone. Sorry, But anyway, like I said,
- 18:23Speaker 1: this will be the series that we'll be going into
- 18:26Speaker 1: when it comes to this series and this season, because
- 18:31Speaker 1: we need to talk about the family dynamic and how
- 18:34Speaker 1: do you mind your own business when it comes to
- 18:38Speaker 1: your parents in these Golden child and avisible Child syndrome.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Cause, like I said, this happens quite a lot. It
- 18:48Speaker 2: really really does.
- 18:50Speaker 1: So I really wanna get into it because there are
- 18:54Speaker 1: so many people that are suffering from this and all
- 18:58Speaker 1: their relationships are are the exact same. And I think
- 19:03Speaker 1: by talking about this in different facets, a lot of
- 19:07Speaker 1: people are gonna look at not only they're family different
- 19:12Speaker 1: but also everybody else that they're close to, cause pretty
- 19:17Speaker 1: much you're wanting what you didn't get from.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Your parents to everybody else.
- 19:22Speaker 1: So it's definitely something that needs to be talked about.
- 19:26Speaker 2: It's definitely something we need to look.
- 19:28Speaker 1: At because, if you really think about it, everything that
- 19:33Speaker 1: you want as far as being taken care of, all
- 19:36Speaker 1: of that stuff except sex. It's the only thing that
- 19:39Speaker 1: your parents don't give you. But the financials and all
- 19:42Speaker 1: of that come from your parents, because when your parents
- 19:46Speaker 1: miss your birthdays, it's like you saying that your husband
- 19:49Speaker 1: miss Valentine's that your wife missed your birthday.
- 19:53Speaker 2: It's the same thing.
- 19:54Speaker 1: You have no idea the relationship with your mother and
- 19:57Speaker 1: father being no different then the relationships you have, and
- 20:02Speaker 1: I'm talking about platonically, s The platonic relationships are all
- 20:06Speaker 1: the same. There's no difference between any of these relationships platonically,
- 20:11Speaker 1: but when they come to sex, and that's a whole
- 20:13Speaker 1: another monster. But then again, you have some people that
- 20:16Speaker 1: are out here messing with somebody younger, and that happens too, So.
- 20:23Speaker 2: You never will see, but it would be interesting to see,
- 20:29Speaker 2: you know, how things will go. But I think that's civil,
- 20:35Speaker 2: that's sibling. You know.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Rivalry between the Golden Child, the one they put on
- 20:42Speaker 1: the pedestal, and the Invisible Child is very real. It's very,
- 20:47Speaker 1: very very real. So I didn't wanna take up too
- 20:50Speaker 1: much time. I just want to I just wanna give
- 20:52Speaker 1: y'all an idea of what this season is gonna look like.
- 20:57Speaker 1: So next week we will be talking about the Golden Child.
- 21:01Speaker 1: I will be going in depth about the Golden Child,
- 21:04Speaker 1: and then the next episode I will be going into
- 21:07Speaker 1: the invisible child, and then we'll be going into how
- 21:11Speaker 1: the parents treat both of these children and how they
- 21:16Speaker 1: don't treat the other. So it's really gonna be a
- 21:21Speaker 1: very good podcast season. Some of y'all gonna be crime,
- 21:26Speaker 1: some of y'all gonna be like.
- 21:28Speaker 2: This hit home for me.
- 21:31Speaker 1: But I'm doing it on all of my platforms, So
- 21:34Speaker 1: there'll be some topics that will be on this platform
- 21:38Speaker 1: that may that may be on another, that may not
- 21:41Speaker 1: be on another. So each one, we're gonna talk about
- 21:44Speaker 1: the Golden Child's syndrome from ten different perspectives, and so
- 21:50Speaker 1: the number one one will absolutely be self esteem, which
- 21:54Speaker 1: is with self respect leads to self love, the old
- 21:59Speaker 1: U verse the new you, from darkness to light. We
- 22:02Speaker 1: were talking from the happier you leads to a healthier
- 22:04Speaker 1: you when it comes to your healthy wellness internally and
- 22:07Speaker 1: externally when it comes to the Golden child syndrome. So
- 22:11Speaker 1: we definitely will be talking about it, and also from
- 22:14Speaker 1: the spiritual perspective when it comes to how parents raise
- 22:18Speaker 1: their kids. So it's gonna be very interesting to see
- 22:22Speaker 1: how this all play out.
- 22:25Speaker 2: But I will.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Say it's gonna be interesting, because, like I said, the
- 22:30Speaker 1: fact that so many people suffer from this, it's gonna
- 22:34Speaker 1: really hit home to a lot of people, it really is.
- 22:38Speaker 1: It's really gonna hit a lot of people hard because,
- 22:42Speaker 1: like I said, the way that your parents treat you,
- 22:46Speaker 1: it determines how everybody else is going to treat you
- 22:50Speaker 1: and what you allow people to put you through and
- 22:53Speaker 1: what you choose to deal with.
- 22:55Speaker 2: So, yeah, I'm very excited about it. I am.
- 22:59Speaker 1: I'm very excited about this new journey. So with that
- 23:03Speaker 1: being said, I appreciate you guys more than Mores could
- 23:07Speaker 1: ever say, could ever say some in my throat. So
- 23:12Speaker 1: with that being said, I appreciate y'all. I love y'all.
- 23:16Speaker 1: I can't wait to do this season with y'all. I
- 23:18Speaker 1: can't wait to do this with all of my podcasts.
- 23:23Speaker 1: But the Spiritual one is gonna be more about the
- 23:27Speaker 1: healing process of the family dynamics, So that will be
- 23:34Speaker 1: the only one that will be a little bit different.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Now opening Pandora's Box and you Are what you consume.
- 23:40Speaker 1: I haven't decided how I'm gonna do the Golden Child
- 23:43Speaker 1: Syndrome with those two. I may not with those two
- 23:46Speaker 1: because I'm not sure how I'm gonna go about it.
- 23:49Speaker 1: If not, it will probably be later. But I think
- 23:53Speaker 1: I have an idea because with Pandora's Box, it is
- 23:55Speaker 1: about opening a box, so there is a way where
- 24:00Speaker 1: opening the box can cause trouble.
- 24:02Speaker 2: So we will definitely see about that.
- 24:06Speaker 1: But I'm really excited about doing this podcast about the
- 24:09Speaker 1: Golden Child syndrome and the Invisible child syndrome. I'm really
- 24:14Speaker 1: excited about the things that I have been learning through
- 24:16Speaker 1: these actual, you know, African stories and things like that,
- 24:20Speaker 1: because I've learned a lot about different types of civil
- 24:24Speaker 1: rivalry and different types of things that.
- 24:29Speaker 2: You know.
- 24:31Speaker 1: So I don't know so but we'll see. So like
- 24:37Speaker 1: I said, things happen even to the best of us,
- 24:39Speaker 1: and life is not easy. But if we don't deal
- 24:43Speaker 1: with our family dynamics first and deal with everything with
- 24:46Speaker 1: our family, then being in other relationships ain't gonna be
- 24:50Speaker 1: too well for us. So I hope this gives you
- 24:53Speaker 1: an idea of this podcast is gonna be. With that
- 24:56Speaker 1: being said, I thank you guys for joining me for
- 24:57Speaker 1: this episode. I'm your host, god is Ash and Maryama.
