- 0:03Speaker 1: This is a podcast twenty five whistle stop ball and
- 0:08Speaker 1: they all wear whist so yes, but what did you expect?
- 0:13Speaker 1: It's a podcast five whistles presented by Draft Kings sports
- 0:20Speaker 1: Book and official sports betting partner of the NFL. Download
- 0:23Speaker 1: the Draft Kings sports Book gap and used to code
- 0:26Speaker 1: Bobby Sports to get in on the action. That sound
- 0:29Speaker 1: you might have heard was EDDI hitting his computer against
- 0:31Speaker 1: the microphone. I do it all the time. But the
- 0:33Speaker 1: microphone are always there. But they just are always in
- 0:36Speaker 1: the way, you know what I mean? No, but they're
- 0:38Speaker 1: always there, so that would they're not in the way
- 0:40Speaker 1: if they live there. I know. I do it all
- 0:41Speaker 1: the time. It's ridiculous. I'll start us off, all right,
- 0:44Speaker 1: show starts now. Good to see everybody got a lot
- 0:47Speaker 1: to talk about. I have so many things in my mind.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I like to start with past interference. We'd like to
- 0:54Speaker 1: hear about it, Yes, absolutely, I think that. And I'd
- 0:58Speaker 1: like to put passengers, past interference and free throws in
- 1:00Speaker 1: the same category because I think if you, let's say,
- 1:05Speaker 1: I'm Chris Paul and I hit Devin Booker perfect pass
- 1:10Speaker 1: and Devin Booker gets fouled and has to go shoot
- 1:12Speaker 1: free throws and he makes the free throws. I think
- 1:13Speaker 1: I ask Chris Paul should get an assist because I
- 1:16Speaker 1: gave him the ball that allowed him to make those
- 1:17Speaker 1: points interesting because he wouldn't have even had a shot
- 1:21Speaker 1: to get those free throws and make those shots if
- 1:24Speaker 1: I didn't give him the perfect it's an assist. Yeah,
- 1:25Speaker 1: he has to make the free throws, both of them
- 1:27Speaker 1: to get the assist. I think there should an assist
- 1:29Speaker 1: given if you put him in a scenario to score
- 1:32Speaker 1: and he scores. That's what an assist is. You give
- 1:34Speaker 1: him the ball, he catches the ball or her. But
- 1:37Speaker 1: this situation, you make a pass to a person that
- 1:43Speaker 1: allows them the opportunity to score based on how good
- 1:46Speaker 1: a past years it was. So let's say I'm a
- 1:50Speaker 1: devil booker, I get foul boomed, the ball doesn't go in.
- 1:51Speaker 1: We Chris Paul is hooked it up. Perfect pass got
- 1:54Speaker 1: him in that spot to get fouled. Then he makes
- 1:55Speaker 1: the free throws. That should be assist. So does he
- 1:57Speaker 1: get an assist if he makes them both? Yeah? Both
- 2:00Speaker 1: love it. I like that because and you could say
- 2:02Speaker 1: one because what if it's uh one shot? Well, if
- 2:07Speaker 1: you're only do it one. That means you probably made
- 2:08Speaker 1: the other. So that's an automatic sy you've got the
- 2:10Speaker 1: assist anyway, because that's a bad rule. They should change that.
- 2:13Speaker 1: The other one is. And that's why I gets pass
- 2:15Speaker 1: interference for if I throw a ball in it's twenty
- 2:18Speaker 1: five yards and it's interfered with, that should count as
- 2:21Speaker 1: a reception and the yards because it was about to
- 2:24Speaker 1: be caught. Somebody got screwed fan somebody, No, I didn't.
- 2:28Speaker 1: It's not about me. Think about that. Why would they
- 2:32Speaker 1: interfere unless it was advantageous to the receiver. It was
- 2:36Speaker 1: about to get caught. Unless it's the one where they're
- 2:39Speaker 1: not looking at the ball. What is it if you're
- 2:40Speaker 1: looking at the ball, heads got turned around, it doesn't matter.
- 2:43Speaker 1: You should still that should still be counted as a reception,
- 2:46Speaker 1: and the yards I should count because you just it's
- 2:51Speaker 1: not about fancy at all. I got my homes he's crushing.
- 2:54Speaker 1: It mightn't matter, but I think that's kind of when
- 2:56Speaker 1: your receiver gets like, you know, fifty yards on a
- 2:58Speaker 1: pass interference and he doesn't get the points for that.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I hated, but yes, and he might have caught it
- 3:04Speaker 1: if somebody had died with them. So that's those are
- 3:08Speaker 1: my two. Yes, what I was gonna say one more thing,
- 3:10Speaker 1: what if it occurs in the end zone? Does he
- 3:12Speaker 1: get a touch zone? No? I think too much. Think
- 3:15Speaker 1: you draw the lines somewhere, Kevin, I don't see how
- 3:18Speaker 1: far we go. You don't. You don't get to touchdown
- 3:20Speaker 1: because a touchdown wasn't put on the board. Fifty yards
- 3:22Speaker 1: are put on you know, a past inferiance spot of
- 3:27Speaker 1: the foul whatever the fift yards is there. It just
- 3:30Speaker 1: is a ghost fifty that nobody gets. So that fifty
- 3:32Speaker 1: yards should actually go to the receiver and the quarterback
- 3:35Speaker 1: and it should be a reception. You removed any chance
- 3:38Speaker 1: for them to do it because the cheating on the
- 3:39Speaker 1: other team. And sure they got flagged, but you're just
- 3:40Speaker 1: going to the point that you would have gotten anyway
- 3:42Speaker 1: had they not been cheating. For the most part, Go ahead,
- 3:44Speaker 1: Adams mics your mics on. Do they change while Adams
- 3:48Speaker 1: getting set up? Do they change rules every year? Like?
- 3:50Speaker 1: Do certain rules change that going to meetings? And sometimes
- 3:54Speaker 1: no rules get changed, And sometimes they're so tiny that
- 3:57Speaker 1: you don't even known. So that's as well was of
- 4:00Speaker 1: my mind before I came in here. I just wanted
- 4:01Speaker 1: to share it with you. Guys. I agree with both
- 4:04Speaker 1: of those things. Would assist one is so easy. I
- 4:07Speaker 1: can't believe that's not already a rule. That's so it
- 4:11Speaker 1: just should because it's just common sense. If I gave
- 4:14Speaker 1: you the ball that allowed you to score those points
- 4:16Speaker 1: is the end. Here's the thing I passed to the ball.
- 4:18Speaker 1: That opportunity was presented to you by me, and you
- 4:20Speaker 1: score points. Now, whatever happens in the middle, even if
- 4:22Speaker 1: it's free throws, foul, you actually do make it. That's
- 4:25Speaker 1: an assist to get those points. Boom passing different jones.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Understand that could be a little more controversial. It's not
- 4:32Speaker 1: even real controversy. I understand people can disagree with that.
- 4:35Speaker 1: But again, if there wasn't the past interference, if the
- 4:38Speaker 1: why why why would it be past inference most of
- 4:40Speaker 1: the time. Well, probably because the receiver was about to
- 4:44Speaker 1: catch the ball had an advantage, which most times turns
- 4:48Speaker 1: into a reception. That's my thought. It doesn't change the
- 4:52Speaker 1: game at all. It literally just rewards the player, so
- 4:56Speaker 1: there's no difference in the score or the outcome. Just
- 4:59Speaker 1: rewarding a player, and it hurt us all on fantasy
- 5:01Speaker 1: good and bad depending with the player is right. So
- 5:03Speaker 1: that's it. That's my thoughts. Send that up to commission.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Oh for sure they'll hear this and change it. Yeh.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Your Mike work at him? Yeah, alright, so you want
- 5:11Speaker 1: in here. When we started the show, that's what happened.
- 5:13Speaker 1: And I've had a poop or something. Um, okay, so
- 5:17Speaker 1: there's that. Let's do the warm up. You guys want
- 5:19Speaker 1: to warm it up? Yes, warm it up, Chris. I'm
- 5:21Speaker 1: about to Chris. That's what I was born to do. Alright.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Your favorite show right now, favorite TV show, favorite streaming
- 5:28Speaker 1: show right now that you're watching, you're into It's number one,
- 5:31Speaker 1: Eddie right now. I am waiting every week for White
- 5:34Speaker 1: Lotus because I'm caught up and I love it the
- 5:36Speaker 1: season two. I saw a White Lotus season one, loved it,
- 5:39Speaker 1: and this is the second season of it. I think
- 5:40Speaker 1: there are two episodes in. There's a third one waiting
- 5:43Speaker 1: for me at home. I will be watching it this weekend.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Never seen an episode, dude. It's so good. It's it's
- 5:47Speaker 1: like a it's like a hotel resort, and they're different ones.
- 5:50Speaker 1: It's almost like a whole branch of resorts or whatever.
- 5:55Speaker 1: And the first one was in Hawaii, believe, and this
- 5:57Speaker 1: one is in Italy, and so something always goes wrong
- 6:00Speaker 1: in the resort. Some there's like it all starts with
- 6:02Speaker 1: a murder, like something's happened and we don't know how
- 6:05Speaker 1: it happened. So the whole show is built on what
- 6:07Speaker 1: happened in that situation. Funny. Ah, there's funny things in it,
- 6:12Speaker 1: you know, But for the most part, no, it's like
- 6:14Speaker 1: it's like a mystery. That's Adam pecking on his microphone
- 6:16Speaker 1: or doing you can just waited and talk instead of pecking.
- 6:20Speaker 1: But that's White Loadus. Dude's so good. That's like, yeah, yes, uh, Mike,
- 6:27Speaker 1: I was watching White Lotus two, but I don't love it.
- 6:29Speaker 1: The show I love right now is Atlanta. It's on
- 6:31Speaker 1: facause the final season. I love Childish Gambino and the
- 6:34Speaker 1: show is funny. Kick off, Kevin, what is the question
- 6:37Speaker 1: the favorite show one's running around trying to fix trying
- 6:40Speaker 1: to be a technical guy here, Yeah, favorite show right now?
- 6:43Speaker 1: Right now, I'm not really watching any shows. Nothing, nothing,
- 6:47Speaker 1: a girlfriend and think about it. It's like it's like
- 6:52Speaker 1: it shows. I mean, I have my go to shows,
- 6:53Speaker 1: but yeah, I'm not watching anything new right now. I'm
- 6:55Speaker 1: kind of I'm looking by the way, so if you
- 6:57Speaker 1: guys know many he said, white load, white Load, and
- 7:00Speaker 1: Mike said Atlanta, Atlanta, Adam, I'm I'm late to the
- 7:04Speaker 1: party on Yellowstone. I finally got on Yellowstone. Um Landy
- 7:07Speaker 1: Wilson was going to be on there. I was like,
- 7:09Speaker 1: I really want to. I love Laney. I want to
- 7:11Speaker 1: catch up with the show and see what's see what's
- 7:12Speaker 1: going on. It's good. Where are you season two? We're
- 7:16Speaker 1: kind of at the end of season two. Peripheral is
- 7:18Speaker 1: really good on Amazon. You're watching that, Mike, I haven't started.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I'm going, man, it's awesome. Probably just me show though.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Caitlin is the one that brought it to me, and
- 7:27Speaker 1: she said, hey, I want to watch the show Peripheral,
- 7:28Speaker 1: and I was like, ah, even though every show she's
- 7:31Speaker 1: ever told me it is good, I just always have
- 7:33Speaker 1: to have resistance. I don't know why. I'm just a
- 7:35Speaker 1: resistant person. I'm like, oh, man, just stubborn, stubborn, just crap.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Maybe I just want to be like fine. So then
- 7:42Speaker 1: I'm like, remember when you made me do this? You
- 7:45Speaker 1: hold it again? And she's still in a peripheral loves it,
- 7:51Speaker 1: and but halfway through the first episode she goes, oh, no,
- 7:53Speaker 1: this is a U show, and I was like, yeah,
- 7:55Speaker 1: it is a me show. It's great and it's about
- 8:00Speaker 1: i'll say virtual. It's ten years in the future, so
- 8:02Speaker 1: it's not a hundred years. It's ten years in the future,
- 8:04Speaker 1: and we don't already have a bunch of virtual stuff
- 8:05Speaker 1: in meta and metaverse. And but it's really good. If
- 8:10Speaker 1: you're not science fiction. I would watch Inside Man on Netflix.
- 8:14Speaker 1: It was a show the right on BBC. It's only
- 8:16Speaker 1: four episodes. Stanley Tucci is a is on the is
- 8:20Speaker 1: a getting the death penalty, and he's able, he was
- 8:23Speaker 1: a criminology professor, is able to figure stuff out from
- 8:26Speaker 1: behind bars. It's only four episodes. And again it's a
- 8:29Speaker 1: BBC show that ran over there. And in England or
- 8:33Speaker 1: the UK they run things short. They'll do two episodes
- 8:35Speaker 1: and that's it. Are too serious or two seasons and
- 8:38Speaker 1: that's it. They called them series is instead of seasons.
- 8:42Speaker 1: They always have a definite end and it's like done,
- 8:46Speaker 1: can't wait for the third? Oh, we don't do a third.
- 8:48Speaker 1: The Office was two seasons of the UK version. You know,
- 8:52Speaker 1: a lot of those shows are just two seasons and
- 8:54Speaker 1: that's it and they move on to the next thing interesting.
- 8:56Speaker 1: All right, that's the warm up. Now the tittle tattle
- 9:01Speaker 1: stupidest name evert kick up? Which team do you think
- 9:09Speaker 1: is most likely to have their playoff hoped crushed this weekend?
- 9:12Speaker 1: Michigan hosting Illinois TCU at Baylor or USC at U
- 9:17Speaker 1: c l A. Remember, guys, you can blow your wessel
- 9:19Speaker 1: if you disagree with what I say. Have them crushed? Well,
- 9:23Speaker 1: a lot of people are calling for TCU to get beat,
- 9:26Speaker 1: but they've been calling for that for a while. And
- 9:28Speaker 1: what's scary to me is I'm now going maybe TCU
- 9:31Speaker 1: does win, which means they're gonna get beat. I don't
- 9:34Speaker 1: think Michigan loses, but because I want USC. I'm not
- 9:41Speaker 1: bought in on USC anyway for two reasons. One because
- 9:45Speaker 1: they're very good defense and too, I don't get to
- 9:47Speaker 1: watch them enough. They're always on IT eleven, and I'm
- 9:49Speaker 1: not gonna go back and record the show for the
- 9:52Speaker 1: show I Sai my grandma. I'm not gonna go back
- 9:54Speaker 1: and record MoMA's Family on VHS and go back. I
- 9:58Speaker 1: don't get to watch them because they're not on in
- 10:00Speaker 1: prime television time where I can really just sit back
- 10:04Speaker 1: just hanging out watch them, because really I don't sit
- 10:07Speaker 1: down with a notepad and go, oh, look as they
- 10:09Speaker 1: did here a second eight. They really brought it. But
- 10:11Speaker 1: if I can just sit on the couch and have
- 10:13Speaker 1: the game on and watch two and a half quarters,
- 10:17Speaker 1: then I know a little bit more about the team.
- 10:19Speaker 1: But I'm gonna go USC. And that that Pack twelvey
- 10:22Speaker 1: did each other alive over there. It's almost like the SEC,
- 10:24Speaker 1: but the Pack twel doesn't get to benefit of the doubt,
- 10:26Speaker 1: where the SEC each each other alive, but you get
- 10:28Speaker 1: the benefit of the doubt because you're Pack twelve. They're
- 10:30Speaker 1: like that, the Pack twelve, and so if you have
- 10:32Speaker 1: one or two losses, you're automatical. I want to go
- 10:34Speaker 1: to USC. They're probably the team that could lose it.
- 10:38Speaker 1: I wish you C l A hadn't lost last week
- 10:41Speaker 1: because that would have been fun if they both were
- 10:44Speaker 1: in the mix for it. That'd have been fun. All right.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Next question, which is more likely to happened in your mind?
- 10:48Speaker 1: Three SEC teams or speaking of Pack twelve, one Pack
- 10:51Speaker 1: twelve team makes a playoff? Probably the one pack twelve
- 10:57Speaker 1: team makes the playoff. I think it's gonna be hard
- 10:59Speaker 1: for a lot of things have to go right for
- 11:01Speaker 1: three sec teams. Because those three teams would be Georgia.
- 11:06Speaker 1: You're and you're thinking l s U sneaks Tennessee. Let's
- 11:10Speaker 1: just talk about all them. That could be Georgia at one,
- 11:13Speaker 1: you got Michigan, House State at two and three right now,
- 11:15Speaker 1: and a four you've got tc U, You've got Tennessee
- 11:17Speaker 1: five or six, and LSU right after that. So what
- 11:21Speaker 1: we're thinking is with the three teamer is that Ohio
- 11:24Speaker 1: State or Michigan one has to lose and fall out,
- 11:26Speaker 1: which within pop Tennessee into there, and then if TCU loses,
- 11:29Speaker 1: somebody else pops in there and that's l s U.
- 11:32Speaker 1: A lot of things have to happen, and that doesn't
- 11:34Speaker 1: automatically mean that if Michigan O House State play that
- 11:36Speaker 1: one of them automatically pops out. Let's say Georgia loses
- 11:39Speaker 1: and one of them goes to one, but the other
- 11:41Speaker 1: one falls to four. Because the game is super close,
- 11:43Speaker 1: there's just a lot of things that can happen. I'm
- 11:45Speaker 1: very interested that I love talking about it because yes,
- 11:47Speaker 1: they're probably working stuff out, but maybe it doesn't, and
- 11:49Speaker 1: it's fun talking about what if it doesn't. And I
- 11:52Speaker 1: think that there's a lot of things that have to
- 11:54Speaker 1: happen exactly right for three SEC teams. You know what
- 11:57Speaker 1: has to happen for a packed off team. USC just
- 11:59Speaker 1: want to come games. That's it. And will they lose
- 12:03Speaker 1: this weekend? Maybe? Possibly, probably, but I think it's easier
- 12:08Speaker 1: to go if they win a few games are in,
- 12:10Speaker 1: then okay, here we go to championship. I was saying, Michi,
- 12:16Speaker 1: So yes, I think a pack twelve getting in is
- 12:19Speaker 1: probably slightly The odds are a little better that than
- 12:22Speaker 1: the other way. I would love to see an SC
- 12:24Speaker 1: team that's not supposed to get in get in because
- 12:26Speaker 1: I love people. Hear people cry, Yeah, a lot of commotion, Yeah,
- 12:31Speaker 1: I love it. I love it. I love commotion. I
- 12:32Speaker 1: love crying when it's not me. The ones else which
- 12:38Speaker 1: second year quarterback play has surprised you more, the progression
- 12:41Speaker 1: of Justin Fields or regression of Zack Wilson. We'll have
- 12:46Speaker 1: a couple of things to say about that. First of all,
- 12:47Speaker 1: I would say the progression of Justin Fields just because
- 12:49Speaker 1: it kind of happened real quick, meaning We're a week
- 12:51Speaker 1: three this year in the NFL and he still sucked.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it happened like after a few games. Yeah,
- 12:55Speaker 1: I mean it was a game and a half basically
- 12:57Speaker 1: when we started to go, oh okay, now now they're
- 12:59Speaker 1: gonna run purpose with him. But it was them calling
- 13:03Speaker 1: an offense and using him in that offense differently. First
- 13:06Speaker 1: of all, he had no receiver before Claypool went over there.
- 13:08Speaker 1: But still he didn't want to throw. He don't want
- 13:09Speaker 1: to send the pocket. You saw that he'd dropped back.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Oh crap, go he'd run out immediately. So is that
- 13:16Speaker 1: point when they said, okay, well, if this is all
- 13:18Speaker 1: we have to deal with and let's deal if we
- 13:20Speaker 1: have to deal with this, let's just deal it. And
- 13:22Speaker 1: they started running him and he set the record for
- 13:24Speaker 1: most most running yards by a quarterback in the game
- 13:27Speaker 1: with like one eighty basically. So that was surprising because
- 13:31Speaker 1: it came out of nowhere in the middle of the season.
- 13:34Speaker 1: I don't I'm not gonna that's the answer. But I'm
- 13:37Speaker 1: not gonna say that Zach Wilson has regressed so much.
- 13:40Speaker 1: He has been hurt this year. I think it's hard
- 13:44Speaker 1: to when you missed time because of an injury to
- 13:45Speaker 1: come back, and then it's like, oh, you've got You've
- 13:48Speaker 1: gotten worse, You've regressed. He may have gotten worse, but
- 13:51Speaker 1: we know that he was injured so much they had
- 13:53Speaker 1: to miss games, so I can't commit to And also
- 13:55Speaker 1: the Jets of one, so I'm not totally on the
- 13:59Speaker 1: Zach Wilson saw wagon. I've never got on the Zack
- 14:01Speaker 1: Wilson's awesome wagon, not even after the whole thing with
- 14:04Speaker 1: his mom's friend. He's awesome there, That's what I'm wondering. Hey,
- 14:08Speaker 1: he's awesome in his special talking about he's awesome in
- 14:11Speaker 1: a way I wish I was that I wasn't, but
- 14:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna go justin fields. Absolutely shocking, absolutely surprising. I
- 14:19Speaker 1: love it. I hope the Bears lose because I'm losing
- 14:21Speaker 1: money every time they win, so keep on losing. But
- 14:23Speaker 1: it's great, it's great, all right, what next do you
- 14:25Speaker 1: think the Dolphins offense? And two, his play will regress
- 14:29Speaker 1: when the temperatures go low and it gets a little colder.
- 14:32Speaker 1: It's interesting about two is he's never really had to
- 14:34Speaker 1: play in cold weather. It's even collegiately because he played
- 14:38Speaker 1: at Alabama UM in the Dolphins perfect. But the good
- 14:42Speaker 1: thing is they play half home and half away, so
- 14:44Speaker 1: it's just a few games. They haven't lost a game
- 14:46Speaker 1: with him healthy at all, and they're like, well, look
- 14:50Speaker 1: at his weapons. Yeah, that's every You're not gonna find
- 14:53Speaker 1: a Hall of Fame coach without a great quarterback. You're
- 14:54Speaker 1: not gonna find a Hall of Fame quarterback without a
- 14:56Speaker 1: good offensive line. Yes, that's part of it. Do I
- 14:59Speaker 1: think I'll regress? I think depending on Yeah, a little,
- 15:06Speaker 1: but I don't think it's gonna be enough to really
- 15:08Speaker 1: matter in the terms of that's why they're going to lose.
- 15:10Speaker 1: They have so many weapons. Oh gosh, get that ball
- 15:13Speaker 1: to Tyreek and you're good. And if you can't, hey
- 15:15Speaker 1: waddles right there, right there to make sure he gets
- 15:17Speaker 1: his Oh they gotta tied end. Who can do the
- 15:20Speaker 1: It ain't a dougie. Yeah, what's it called? My kids say,
- 15:25Speaker 1: I've been trying. I've been practicing a little bit. I
- 15:27Speaker 1: don't have it down yet. I'm trying. And now they
- 15:31Speaker 1: got a running back who they're on by this week
- 15:34Speaker 1: was probably I hadn't traded him to me, I would
- 15:35Speaker 1: have tried them to me too, just because you can't
- 15:38Speaker 1: afford to sit with a good player on by. But
- 15:42Speaker 1: the Dolphins have weapons. Man, So I'm gonna say that
- 15:45Speaker 1: probably a little like any warm weather team, but I
- 15:48Speaker 1: don't think it'll be a two uh reason. I don't
- 15:50Speaker 1: think it'd be anything other than just teams from Tampa
- 15:54Speaker 1: Miami that always play warm. Probably they're just like a
- 15:58Speaker 1: little stunned when they have to go play freezing cold,
- 16:00Speaker 1: similar to like when the Patriots go play in Miami. Yeah. Yeah,
- 16:04Speaker 1: they're just not used to it. So maybe a little
- 16:06Speaker 1: something different. It's like people going to Green Bay in
- 16:08Speaker 1: the freaking winter when it's freezing cold. So yeah, yeah,
- 16:11Speaker 1: I think any that could be any super New Orleans
- 16:14Speaker 1: haven't played cold. Whether you could insert them too, but
- 16:16Speaker 1: they already suck. So but don't they like put like
- 16:19Speaker 1: change the A C and the bubble and practice and stuff.
- 16:21Speaker 1: They put on a whole sixty three? You know that's
- 16:23Speaker 1: really no, I'm serious. Like I remember when I was
- 16:25Speaker 1: working the news, I interviewed Mac Brown and he was
- 16:28Speaker 1: talking about playing I don't know, some northern college or whatever,
- 16:31Speaker 1: and he says, yeah, we've turned it down to like
- 16:33Speaker 1: sub zero temperatures in here, so we can get used
- 16:35Speaker 1: to it. I don't think you get down too, dude.
- 16:38Speaker 1: He said that they brought ice in and everything because
- 16:40Speaker 1: they had to cover practice facility and they brought icein
- 16:43Speaker 1: through it on the field and everything. I mean, obviously, okay,
- 16:45Speaker 1: that's a lot, okay, and stuff like that. I thought
- 16:47Speaker 1: you may to turn the a C so cold, and
- 16:50Speaker 1: then you know those like big fan tubes that keep
- 16:52Speaker 1: people warm. I think those there's the opposite ones that
- 16:54Speaker 1: just freeze the whole place up. I think probably in
- 16:58Speaker 1: professional world they don't have to worry about that as much.
- 17:00Speaker 1: They just expect people to be professionals. I don't ever
- 17:02Speaker 1: see that. I could see if it were a big Bowl,
- 17:07Speaker 1: National championship, big game where you're doing little things in
- 17:10Speaker 1: college because the kids probably have never played in cold weather.
- 17:13Speaker 1: I'm assuming if from in the NFL, you've played a
- 17:14Speaker 1: cold weather enough at some point, even if it's not regularly.
- 17:18Speaker 1: And I thought that's the head of an a C
- 17:19Speaker 1: doesn't get that company. It's like walking cooler over the
- 17:24Speaker 1: house if we need it, because I love to sleep cold.
- 17:27Speaker 1: What else are the Vikings still being disrespected as a
- 17:29Speaker 1: one and a half point underdog at home first shut up.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Do you know what that means though, Because they're a
- 17:36Speaker 1: one and a half point underdog, but they're at home,
- 17:39Speaker 1: they're playing in Minnesota. That means they think that the
- 17:43Speaker 1: Cowboys are four and a half points better. And that's
- 17:46Speaker 1: where the disrespect comes from that he's talking about. Yeah, also,
- 17:50Speaker 1: coming off I wouldn't just say that. I would say
- 17:52Speaker 1: coming off that big game against Buffalo, not that there's
- 17:55Speaker 1: gonna be a let down game, but that sucks a
- 17:58Speaker 1: lot out of you. Like having that and then you
- 18:00Speaker 1: know what you do for the next couple of days.
- 18:01Speaker 1: You talk about it everywhere you have to. It's a
- 18:03Speaker 1: big Again, they're professionals, so you hope that's not the case,
- 18:06Speaker 1: and you hope that they're able to focus, and they
- 18:07Speaker 1: will be able to. But there's just a lot to
- 18:09Speaker 1: winning a big, exhausting game that stays in the media
- 18:14Speaker 1: called the game of the year, because you can't just
- 18:17Speaker 1: finish the game, be like we one awesome, We'll do
- 18:18Speaker 1: our press and get out and start focusing. It lives
- 18:21Speaker 1: for another two days and you're talking about your friends
- 18:24Speaker 1: of texting you about it. You're still focused. But what
- 18:27Speaker 1: about that play emotions? Logically, you are you think you are,
- 18:33Speaker 1: but you're probably not able to put it in the
- 18:34Speaker 1: same way like focus, because you only have so much
- 18:37Speaker 1: focus regardless of what you're doing. You can't create more focused.
- 18:41Speaker 1: There's only a certain amount you can possibly give, even
- 18:45Speaker 1: at your best. So I think that's part of the
- 18:48Speaker 1: reason psychologically, teams after big games don't do as well.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Generally speaking, Um do I think there'll be a disrespect.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I think Cowboys are better team. But lost to Cowboys.
- 19:00Speaker 1: That was a big emotional loss, as much as that
- 19:02Speaker 1: was a big emotional win. And alfa loss, you're like
- 19:05Speaker 1: one or two ways, you're like, well, seasons over that
- 19:09Speaker 1: sucks are in college that happens a lot more where
- 19:11Speaker 1: you go, well we lost a second game, we're out
- 19:12Speaker 1: of it. So those losses in college are at a study.
- 19:16Speaker 1: After the first loss to the second of a team
- 19:19Speaker 1: that's in contention, they often performed poorly because to them,
- 19:23Speaker 1: their goal is over, their big goal is over. They
- 19:26Speaker 1: have to readdress, recalibrate, and find their new goal, which
- 19:29Speaker 1: they do the big Bowl game win some games. We're
- 19:32Speaker 1: in the pros not the same because like the Eagles,
- 19:35Speaker 1: after the Eagles lost, they were like, man, stop the
- 19:37Speaker 1: f and talk about undefeated. Yeah we lost, but let's
- 19:39Speaker 1: go next game. It's not the same. Um, So a
- 19:43Speaker 1: little bit disrespect because of the vikings. And also remember people,
- 19:47Speaker 1: humans are setting these lines, oh are they? It's not computers. Well,
- 19:51Speaker 1: based on the computer can set it, but humans are
- 19:54Speaker 1: setting them based on what we bet. So I will
- 19:56Speaker 1: move based on bets. Here's what Vegas wants. They want
- 20:00Speaker 1: on each side correct, So they want to put that
- 20:01Speaker 1: line somewhere that half the people bet yes, he feel
- 20:04Speaker 1: bet no, because what they're getting is that middle cut
- 20:06Speaker 1: of what it costs to make the bet. So it's
- 20:08Speaker 1: not Vegas going we think there for sure, going by
- 20:11Speaker 1: ten points. We're sitting by it. They're going. We think
- 20:15Speaker 1: the people are gonna think it's six points, so we're
- 20:18Speaker 1: gonna do that. So the people are thinking that the
- 20:23Speaker 1: Cowboys are going to win by that margin. Let me
- 20:27Speaker 1: may have explained this wrong. That what they do is
- 20:29Speaker 1: they set a line that they feels appropriate. And the
- 20:31Speaker 1: reason they move it is because a bunch of people
- 20:33Speaker 1: jump on one side. It's like a see saw. And
- 20:35Speaker 1: so if you say more, say, let's say it's sitting
- 20:37Speaker 1: exactly even cowboys on once since he saw vikings on
- 20:40Speaker 1: the other you got one person here, one person here,
- 20:43Speaker 1: Let's say another person sits on this side, and therefore
- 20:45Speaker 1: it goes well. Think it's like, oh, we gotta move
- 20:48Speaker 1: the spread because we need to get even against They
- 20:50Speaker 1: need to put somebody on this side, so they move
- 20:51Speaker 1: with that direction. Who all they're trying to do is
- 20:54Speaker 1: get people betting, and they never hit it perfectly. But
- 20:58Speaker 1: what you hope is when or lose, you still make
- 21:01Speaker 1: more in that middle slice that it casts you to bed,
- 21:04Speaker 1: then you lost, even if you're on the wrong side
- 21:06Speaker 1: of it. I also feel that Vegas whenever a line
- 21:08Speaker 1: is like that and everyone starts thinking, oh, this is disrespectful.
- 21:12Speaker 1: The Vikings look great against the Bills, it's not. I
- 21:14Speaker 1: love it because I always feel like Vegas know something
- 21:17Speaker 1: that we don't know. And I mean, obviously make a
- 21:20Speaker 1: sense of line knowing something. They move it based on people,
- 21:23Speaker 1: and this line has not moved. So I've been watching
- 21:26Speaker 1: the line. It is not moved. So as a fan,
- 21:28Speaker 1: I love Worth. Of course NFL is tough man, that's hard.
- 21:34Speaker 1: It's my favorite to bet. But yes, they're still the Vikings,
- 21:36Speaker 1: still Kirk Cousins right, and people have a bad perception
- 21:39Speaker 1: of Kirk kirk Cousins. He makes a whole lot of money.
- 21:41Speaker 1: I didn't really done anything. Also, although he's not had
- 21:44Speaker 1: great an opportunity, and with wonderful coaches or offenses or weapons,
- 21:49Speaker 1: you can go down whatever argument road you want. There.
- 21:52Speaker 1: He's slaying it last week though. The one reception needs
- 21:55Speaker 1: through though, But they were like he was. They show
- 21:57Speaker 1: him like looking checking down and all of a sudden
- 21:59Speaker 1: he finds a guy and throws it, but it's the
- 22:00Speaker 1: wrong guy to the other team the corner standing up
- 22:03Speaker 1: there with nobody by him, and he's catching hilarity. He's
- 22:05Speaker 1: like what they were like, watch kirk Cousins here. It's
- 22:07Speaker 1: like a meme, like watch Kirk Cousins and he checks
- 22:10Speaker 1: down and you see him back Nope, nope, nope. Oh
- 22:13Speaker 1: he's good right to him. There's no receiver anywhere. It's
- 22:16Speaker 1: just right to the defense. About do you think that
- 22:18Speaker 1: guy was over there on the side like you do
- 22:20Speaker 1: and pick up basketball like, hey, hey, throw it to me.
- 22:22Speaker 1: He's like, yeah, you're not on my team. You actually
- 22:25Speaker 1: did it all right that it hit the tattle tattle up.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Any updates on the coaches, any bookings we did change
- 22:37Speaker 1: the rule. You could go after whomever you wanted. Power five.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I feel like some people are setting up straighter right now.
- 22:42Speaker 1: I saw a couple of people set up straight. I
- 22:44Speaker 1: want to go to Eddie first. Who did not set
- 22:46Speaker 1: up straight? At oh man, I'm still slouched, no movement
- 22:48Speaker 1: over here. But you can go after anybody. So nothing, nothing, okay, Adam.
- 22:53Speaker 1: I finally just sent emails this morning since we talked
- 22:56Speaker 1: the other day about it. Um got emails out to
- 22:58Speaker 1: Kentucky and following up again in with the coach hype Tennessee.
- 23:02Speaker 1: And yeah, those are those are my Those are my
- 23:04Speaker 1: two current targets at the moment. You know, Mike's like
- 23:08Speaker 1: a tiger. Well, he's always thinking and always scheming and
- 23:12Speaker 1: always working. So I want to save him for last
- 23:14Speaker 1: because I know something. I don't know anything about it,
- 23:16Speaker 1: but I know what that guy he's strategizing. He's got
- 23:19Speaker 1: something going on. And Kevin is just a grinder too,
- 23:23Speaker 1: both a grinder and on grinder. So Kevin, wow, what
- 23:29Speaker 1: what do you got working? I have a coach working
- 23:32Speaker 1: right now. I have somebody that worked out the school,
- 23:34Speaker 1: so I reached out to her. Do you want to
- 23:35Speaker 1: say who? Yeah, Texas Tech. Love it. I'm working on
- 23:38Speaker 1: Texas Tech right now getting him. I haven't heard back.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I talked to her about three or four days ago.
- 23:43Speaker 1: She's going to talk to him. She works for the
- 23:45Speaker 1: athletics program, mostly basketball, but she knows the head coach
- 23:48Speaker 1: of football and she said that he is interested. So
- 23:51Speaker 1: fingers crossed, we get that on the books. Do you
- 23:53Speaker 1: want to say his name? Yes, Joey, Yeah, Joey McGuire.
- 23:56Speaker 1: I just want to make sure I get it right.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Want Okay. My prediction is Mike's put out like thirty feelers, Mike,
- 24:04Speaker 1: what do you got? Yeah, I'm giving up on cal
- 24:06Speaker 1: I think they're three and seven. They're not wanting to
- 24:08Speaker 1: do any interviews, so that's over. But I have I'm
- 24:11Speaker 1: going after people that some people gave up on that.
- 24:14Speaker 1: I think you are attainable. So I also went after
- 24:16Speaker 1: the Tennessee coach Nice, Mike Nice, do you have a
- 24:22Speaker 1: way to get did you have away? I found some emails,
- 24:24Speaker 1: So I've just sent some emails out and I'm just
- 24:27Speaker 1: throwing them all out there now that it's open. Why
- 24:29Speaker 1: not just hit everybody up? Everybody. I have all my
- 24:31Speaker 1: emails drafted, ready to go. As soon as I get
- 24:33Speaker 1: a contact, I'm sending an email. Boom. All right, well,
- 24:36Speaker 1: hopefully next week we get get a rolling a little bit.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Put the machine gun this. Hey, what's going on is
- 24:40Speaker 1: kickoff Kevin and inflation like you and me, has all
- 24:43Speaker 1: of us thinking about different ways we can cut back.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Whether it's driving less, dining out less, or buying less
- 24:49Speaker 1: from the grocery store. We can all agree there's nothing
- 24:51Speaker 1: fun about having less. That's why I started using Upside.

- 25:41Speaker 1: dollars or more using promo code twenty five whistles. All
- 25:45Speaker 1: right over to Adam Adam Stats. Let's go as Adam
- 25:51Speaker 1: has a m What you got, Adam, We're gonna start
- 25:57Speaker 1: in college. Uh. I had a interesting stat that I
- 26:01Speaker 1: came across of the top twenty wide receivers in the country.
- 26:04Speaker 1: There's only two who are on playoff contending teams. That's
- 26:07Speaker 1: Jalen Hyatt for Tennessee, who is second overall and receiving,
- 26:10Speaker 1: and Marvin Harrison Junior for Ohio State. What does that
- 26:13Speaker 1: tell me? Tells me the very best teams are well
- 26:15Speaker 1: balanced rush versus pass, but also a great mix of
- 26:18Speaker 1: weapons thanks spread the ball too. It tells me that
- 26:21Speaker 1: they're just a bunch of little schools, whether or not
- 26:23Speaker 1: have the stats are weird when you're comparing Eyeball University
- 26:29Speaker 1: to Tennessee. No, these are Nonpower five schools. Who knows
- 26:34Speaker 1: how good the offenses or defenses, or at least there's
- 26:37Speaker 1: a level when you're in a Power five of you
- 26:40Speaker 1: know how, you know what they're going to bring. Even
- 26:43Speaker 1: at the floor, you're not just gonna be able to
- 26:46Speaker 1: go out and wipe it down. Some of these schools,
- 26:50Speaker 1: you just get one good receiver that's better than everybody else.
- 26:54Speaker 1: They can just dominate a game. It's like high school
- 26:57Speaker 1: more than it is college. So that's what I hear.
- 27:01Speaker 1: And that's also like when it's like they're, okay, the
- 27:03Speaker 1: sack leaders this season, well from Hiatt Johnston University with
- 27:08Speaker 1: seventy three sacks, it's like he's getting to play n
- 27:11Speaker 1: C Double A football and PS five every else is
- 27:13Speaker 1: playing real football. So yeah, it's interesting. There's only two.
- 27:16Speaker 1: I do like that stat. But in the top in
- 27:18Speaker 1: the top twenty receivers, who's number one? Who's number one?
- 27:22Speaker 1: Because I'm sure it's somebody you know, man, you can
- 27:25Speaker 1: never hear of. But even like Bailey Zappy, he comes
- 27:27Speaker 1: to mind in Western Kentucky said all kinds of records,
- 27:30Speaker 1: but you're like, it's still Western Kentucky and he's they're playing.
- 27:33Speaker 1: But again he has a Western Kentucky offensive line. But
- 27:35Speaker 1: if he just happens to be a point and a
- 27:37Speaker 1: half better, he right, he wipes that place. Yeah, you know,
- 27:40Speaker 1: all right? What's the next one at him? Sorry? S
- 27:42Speaker 1: m u Rashi Rice, that's the number one receiver. We're
- 27:45Speaker 1: gonna go to the Cowboys now, NFL Eddie, this hurt
- 27:49Speaker 1: my feelings when I saw this this week. It's another
- 27:51Speaker 1: one that's been going on around this week and Twitter
- 27:53Speaker 1: and all that stuff. It hurts for us Cowboys fans.
- 27:55Speaker 1: A hundred and one. That's the Cowboys over all time
- 27:59Speaker 1: record when leading by fourteen points going to the fourth
- 28:02Speaker 1: quarter is the first game ever law and wow, it's tough.
- 28:07Speaker 1: First time they've ever lost a game going to the
- 28:09Speaker 1: fourth quarter leading by two touchdowns. To me, this feels
- 28:11Speaker 1: like some classic Cowboys nonsense moments like these to me
- 28:16Speaker 1: feel like the moments that kept kept the Cowboys and
- 28:18Speaker 1: winning playoff games kept the Cowboys and winning Super Bowls
- 28:21Speaker 1: all that stuff in three decades. Get your finger pointers ready?
- 28:24Speaker 1: Who are you pointing the blame on for this one?
- 28:26Speaker 1: For this meltdown? The fourth quarter versus the Packers m hmm,
- 28:29Speaker 1: that's tough, man. I mean you, I gotta put it
- 28:31Speaker 1: on coach just because I mean, who else can be
- 28:34Speaker 1: in this situation? I coaches the leader at that moment. Okay,
- 28:39Speaker 1: I put it on God's to say, who else could
- 28:42Speaker 1: be over coach. I'm gonna tell you the big man,
- 28:44Speaker 1: the Cowboy fan for just a little bit. God hates
- 28:47Speaker 1: the Cowboys. No, he does not trust me. Hey, he
- 28:51Speaker 1: does not hate the God hates I've just learned this
- 28:53Speaker 1: God blessed Texas man, but he also hates the Cowboys.
- 28:57Speaker 1: I think you still pissed about the Oilers leaving. I'll
- 28:59Speaker 1: be an honest, you still met you put the coach,
- 29:02Speaker 1: you can finish your thot. But I just you didn't know.
- 29:04Speaker 1: I mean, it's tough when you watch a game like that.
- 29:06Speaker 1: It's like I don't know, I don't know who to
- 29:08Speaker 1: put the blame on. Like it's so frustrating that and
- 29:11Speaker 1: I know it's not right. But there are moments when
- 29:13Speaker 1: I'm going through all that that I'm thinking like this
- 29:16Speaker 1: is rigged, Like this is so rigged, this is so
- 29:19Speaker 1: dumb and and like out of this world that this
- 29:23Speaker 1: whole thing is rigged. But then but then obviously it's not.
- 29:26Speaker 1: This is such a Cowboys respongbor here from a fan.
- 29:29Speaker 1: You lose a game that you're up four team like
- 29:33Speaker 1: the whole world is against us. I was trying to
- 29:36Speaker 1: be vulnerable with you guys and let you know what
- 29:38Speaker 1: I was going to going through. There you go, that
- 29:41Speaker 1: could be it, all right? Thank you. Adams's Adam Stats.
- 29:48Speaker 1: He's got those stats. Bog You guys, never go through
- 29:52Speaker 1: that where you feel like it's rigged. I do, but
- 29:56Speaker 1: I try not to do that about my teams because
- 29:57Speaker 1: I know that I'm biased, but I do. My general
- 30:00Speaker 1: thought is where there's money, there's coruption generally, and it
- 30:03Speaker 1: doesn't have to be corruption from inside the fundamental beams,
- 30:09Speaker 1: just that it's just weird that every time I lose
- 30:11Speaker 1: a bet or my team loses, that's when I think
- 30:14Speaker 1: it's rigged. Funny. My whistle was brought to you by
- 30:16Speaker 1: Draft Kings sports book, an official but no, I don't
- 30:19Speaker 1: think it's right, an official sports betting partner of the

- 31:10Speaker 1: they're still on the on the clock for maybe getting in,
- 31:12Speaker 1: but they need style points to just in case they're
- 31:14Speaker 1: gonna be two losses. L s U mineus fourteen and
- 31:19Speaker 1: a half at you a B versus you? Maybe L
- 31:23Speaker 1: s U the next one. Auburn money line, Kevin White,
- 31:29Speaker 1: your eyes get big there, because anytime you see Auburn
- 31:32Speaker 1: money line, that means they win. I don't know about
- 31:35Speaker 1: the Yeah, that's exactly what it means. Did they win
- 31:39Speaker 1: last week? Yeah? They did. I don't want who are
- 31:40Speaker 1: they playing. I'm like they almost went the week before
- 31:42Speaker 1: with Cadillac. Cadillac's almost right, almost, it's almost, but he's
- 31:47Speaker 1: that team has played well. I love Cadillac. I love
- 31:51Speaker 1: that story. Were you looking at there, Kevin, I'm looking
- 31:53Speaker 1: at Auburn. Oh we're just talking about him a little
- 31:56Speaker 1: Western Kentucky exactly, Auburn money line versus Western. Can Now
- 32:00Speaker 1: you like the Brakes a little bit? Okay, they've all
- 32:04Speaker 1: I keep saying almost. They did win last week, they
- 32:06Speaker 1: almost one the week before. It's a big game for them.
- 32:08Speaker 1: I'm going to TCU money line. Yes, and I told
- 32:13Speaker 1: you now they'll probably lose, and their dogs in that,
- 32:16Speaker 1: right they are, but like two and a half I
- 32:19Speaker 1: think no, maybe they're Maybe they're two and a half point. No,
- 32:22Speaker 1: they're the favorite. Yea, but it's close. It's close, So
- 32:25Speaker 1: l s U. Mine is fourteen and a half albur
- 32:29Speaker 1: money line, TCU money line. But bet ninety. You've got
- 32:33Speaker 1: fifty to twenty seven right now. It will change probably
- 32:36Speaker 1: a little bit. Just letting you know, listeners who don't

- 33:15Speaker 1: week quickly. I'm gonna give you some money makers. I
- 33:18Speaker 1: can say that here because when you're talking about real money,
- 33:20Speaker 1: I've got fancy football. Yeah, fantasy. Here we go. First
- 33:24Speaker 1: of all, if you are at a point where you're
- 33:27Speaker 1: struggling to make the playoffs, or you're a team struggling
- 33:31Speaker 1: and you have to help marry it and you're holding
- 33:33Speaker 1: onto a stud but a couple other your people in
- 33:36Speaker 1: your lineup are kind of weak. It's okay to trade
- 33:39Speaker 1: the stud down and get two pretty good players and
- 33:40Speaker 1: hope one of them goes off. Don't hold on to
- 33:42Speaker 1: your studs if you're struggling, because you're gonna have to
- 33:45Speaker 1: do something different because it hasn't worked out for you.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Let's say have Jonathan Taylor, he's back. Now, you could
- 33:50Speaker 1: probably get a really good player and a pretty good
- 33:52Speaker 1: player for Johnson Taylor. Fill out that lineup a little
- 33:54Speaker 1: more instead of putting all your eggs in one basket. Yeah,
- 33:56Speaker 1: last week definitely gave you some value for him. You
- 33:57Speaker 1: can't one basket right now, so you got you have
- 34:00Speaker 1: to move from what's got you here. Don't dance with
- 34:03Speaker 1: the girl that brought you the girl that brought you
- 34:05Speaker 1: sitting with that you think about that. Yeah. Uh. Also,
- 34:12Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you a little tip here about Jaylen Warren.
- 34:14Speaker 1: He's in Pittsburgh. He's backup to Nag Harris. They're giving
- 34:20Speaker 1: him the ball a lot more and Nagi always gets
- 34:22Speaker 1: hurt and so he's put up i think six or
- 34:26Speaker 1: seven nine points the last game. Good good, good backup
- 34:29Speaker 1: running back and better than a backup where if you
- 34:32Speaker 1: just need somebody because you do have a spot that
- 34:34Speaker 1: you can't find a running back. He's a good one
- 34:36Speaker 1: and he's a great On top of that, the right
- 34:38Speaker 1: handcuffed too, just in case, but they're giving him the
- 34:40Speaker 1: ball a lot more as a rookie. He had um
- 34:44Speaker 1: nine and ten points the last two weeks. Here's a risk.
- 34:48Speaker 1: If you're gonna make the playoffs for sure, and you
- 34:50Speaker 1: have a spot on your bench, go and grab oo
- 34:52Speaker 1: b J. He may not be able to play for you,
- 34:54Speaker 1: but if you have a spot, hold him because it
- 34:59Speaker 1: might turn to something. If you have a spot, hold him.
- 35:02Speaker 1: And if you have a stud on by this week
- 35:06Speaker 1: and you're fighting for the playoffs, this week matters just
- 35:09Speaker 1: as much as the last week does. If you may
- 35:12Speaker 1: lose because you have a stud on, trade the stud
- 35:16Speaker 1: and get something good for him because you have four
- 35:19Speaker 1: weeks to do it and every week is super important.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Adam made the smart decision. I said, Adam two pretty
- 35:24Speaker 1: good players for for one running back, and I wouldn't
- 35:27Speaker 1: say it's a stud, but he's a pretty good running
- 35:29Speaker 1: back the last three just the last three weeks in Miami.
- 35:34Speaker 1: But it's the fact that it's not he's on buying.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Adam's gonna win games. He can't lose a game and
- 35:41Speaker 1: be like, well, I was really hoping I could look
- 35:43Speaker 1: through and win this one, and he cut you hope,
- 35:45Speaker 1: you hope him for a lot of things. So I
- 35:48Speaker 1: got Jeff Wilson and he's on by this week. But
- 35:53Speaker 1: I can. I can do it. I'm like eight and
- 35:54Speaker 1: two in our league. About that was a pretty smart
- 35:56Speaker 1: moved by Adam And that's it. Those are my fancy thoughts.
- 36:00Speaker 1: You guys fantasies, so here I am. No, we don't
- 36:02Speaker 1: want to hear that. You guys like runn into problems
- 36:06Speaker 1: without having spots in your bench, like I can. I
- 36:09Speaker 1: have like five people I can get rid of like always,
- 36:12Speaker 1: and I have. I'm in three leagues and my bench
- 36:14Speaker 1: is so weak I can get rid of anyone in there.
- 36:16Speaker 1: I don't. I have either a handcuff to my biggest
- 36:19Speaker 1: usually have a really good backup quarterback in case that's
- 36:22Speaker 1: so smart. And then I've got receivers that can get
- 36:25Speaker 1: you double digits hot and cold or diamond doesn't I
- 36:29Speaker 1: mean George Pickens, he gets ten or eleven, but he'll
- 36:33Speaker 1: go zero the next weekend. You can find those guys
- 36:35Speaker 1: anywhere on the waiver wire, so I'm never worried about
- 36:37Speaker 1: having to find one of those because they exist. So
- 36:41Speaker 1: and I also have guys that I think have huge potential.
- 36:44Speaker 1: I can just read your mind and then I gotta go.
- 36:46Speaker 1: I got a stupid thing I gotta do. Probably have
- 36:50Speaker 1: to do that with you. You don't. We have to
- 36:52Speaker 1: a picture thing later too, That's not the stupid thing.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Now here's my bench, just and I have them lost
- 36:58Speaker 1: for strategic reasons. Zekes in my bench this week because
- 37:01Speaker 1: I'm still scared to play him and this isn't just
- 37:04Speaker 1: two leaks. No, he's just been hurt and I don't
- 37:06Speaker 1: need to play him and I can't risk him getting
- 37:07Speaker 1: a zero. I have Melvin Gordon. He's splitting time in Denver,
- 37:10Speaker 1: but he's still scoring points of thorn in the ball.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Have him on the bench. I have cam Akers, who
- 37:15Speaker 1: I wouldn't have held three or four weeks ago, but
- 37:17Speaker 1: he's getting as many carries now on the platoon and
- 37:20Speaker 1: with the Rams, and I think they could eventually go
- 37:23Speaker 1: back to him now that they didn't trade him. So
- 37:25Speaker 1: I don't playing him, but I have him just in case.
- 37:27Speaker 1: I have Warren in Pittsburgh on the bench, so I
- 37:31Speaker 1: always have somebody for a reason of a just in case,
- 37:34Speaker 1: have Jamar Chase on my bench in my other league,
- 37:37Speaker 1: just because he's may come back this week maybe, but
- 37:40Speaker 1: either way I'm gonna set. I'm im gonna say, so,
- 37:42Speaker 1: didn't get hurt, you good man. That'll help, that'll help
- 37:44Speaker 1: him recover a little bit, all right, when good good
- 37:48Speaker 1: coaching there, dude, thank you? Okay, ten seconds give me
- 37:51Speaker 1: your games, both games you're excited about Kevin. For me,
- 37:54Speaker 1: it's USC in U c l A. Uh. That's the
- 37:57Speaker 1: one rivalry in California that you will hear about the
- 37:59Speaker 1: actually kind of hype up a little bit. And they're
- 38:01Speaker 1: both good. So I'm excited to see that one. And
- 38:03Speaker 1: then I hate to say this, but it's got to
- 38:04Speaker 1: be the Cowboys Vikings is a good game, Adam. College football,
- 38:11Speaker 1: I want to I really want to see Michigan Illinois
- 38:13Speaker 1: randomly that that running back for Illinois is really good.
- 38:16Speaker 1: I want to see how Michigan can hold up. Are
- 38:18Speaker 1: they gonna are they gonna be thinking about Hi State
- 38:21Speaker 1: this week? And uh, overlook, Illinois would be Michigan loses
- 38:24Speaker 1: and then they beat Ohio State and they're both out.
- 38:26Speaker 1: That's how you get three SEC teams and the other
- 38:30Speaker 1: one Tides of Packers. Is this just feels like a
- 38:32Speaker 1: really trajectory shifting game for both people because everybody, I
- 38:35Speaker 1: feel like he's been watching the Titans wait for them
- 38:37Speaker 1: to stub their toe because they play those grinded out
- 38:39Speaker 1: games they win by three or four points. And the Packers,
- 38:43Speaker 1: you know, did they find something last week? Who knows.
- 38:46Speaker 1: I'm really interested to see how both those teams re
- 38:47Speaker 1: spawn this week. Eddie. Yeah, I'm gonna go with College
- 38:51Speaker 1: Georgia Kentucky just because I I don't know. If Georgia
- 38:56Speaker 1: somehow can lose the game, that's I mean, I want
- 38:58Speaker 1: to watch that. I don't think they will Conte He's
- 39:00Speaker 1: not as good as Georgia, but it'll be a fun
- 39:02Speaker 1: game to watch. I think Kentucky has a um not
- 39:06Speaker 1: a chance, but Kentucky has a Missouri type chance if
- 39:09Speaker 1: everything's just right. Kentucky has a good enough quarterback to
- 39:11Speaker 1: make some stuff happen. But yes, to lose. I'm looking
- 39:13Speaker 1: forward to Bandy in Florida just because I wanted let's
- 39:16Speaker 1: see what Andy's up to. They won, They've been they've
- 39:19Speaker 1: been gritty. They won their first SC game so they can't.
- 39:22Speaker 1: I mean in Florida, there are no treat They're probably
- 39:24Speaker 1: they're better, they have better athletes. But can Bandy do
- 39:27Speaker 1: it again? That'd be awesome. Can Florida show up and
- 39:30Speaker 1: care enough um that that would that would be cool.
- 39:33Speaker 1: And then the Colts and Eagles. Let's see Jeff Saturday. Yes,
- 39:37Speaker 1: let's see. You just went and you beat Vegas, who's terrible.
- 39:41Speaker 1: If you can go and play the Eagles coach of
- 39:44Speaker 1: the Year, I mean two impressive games, give them the trophy.
- 39:50Speaker 1: There's no looking for the Colts on the Eagles. Let's
- 39:52Speaker 1: go over and go to an interview with Brandon Marcelo.
- 39:55Speaker 1: By the way, at be Marcello on Twitter. It's just
- 39:59Speaker 1: such a great writer to four seven sports. Love it.
- 40:02Speaker 1: He's the best. I follow him, I click all of
- 40:04Speaker 1: his links. I encourage you to the same when it
- 40:05Speaker 1: comes to college football. That's the guy at Brandon Marcelo.
- 40:09Speaker 1: I hope you love him like I do. It's a
- 40:11Speaker 1: second time he's been on the show, and so we're
- 40:12Speaker 1: gonna go now and talk some college football. Brandon Marcella, Brandon,
- 40:16Speaker 1: how's it going? Buddy good? Bobby? How are you? Man good?
- 40:18Speaker 1: I've been saving you because I wanted to get you
- 40:20Speaker 1: back on but I wanted to make sure it was
- 40:22Speaker 1: a big weekend because I think of all the analysts
- 40:25Speaker 1: that we talked to, especially college football, like you're my favorite,
- 40:27Speaker 1: and so don't blow up Brandon, okay, because I really
- 40:30Speaker 1: I'm counting on you here. You're the guy We've been waiting.
- 40:32Speaker 1: I've been waiting from my I've been like Michael got
- 40:33Speaker 1: to ge Brandon out the right time, and I think
- 40:35Speaker 1: now is the right time. I'm gonna start with my interests. First.
- 40:39Speaker 1: I believe that South Carolina can put a little scarre
- 40:42Speaker 1: in Tennessee. Do you believe that? No? Not crap, I
- 40:48Speaker 1: don't see it. South Carolina, they're offits of line is
- 40:52Speaker 1: pretty dreadful, laid egg on the road against Florida last week.
- 40:57Speaker 1: I think they're reeling a little bit. I think South
- 41:00Speaker 1: Carolina is gonna be making some staff changes with the
- 41:02Speaker 1: assistant coaches here in this offseason, and Tennessee is just
- 41:06Speaker 1: gonna jump on them. And and Spencer Rattler for South Carolina,
- 41:10Speaker 1: he's gonna have to throw the ball a lot to
- 41:12Speaker 1: get back in that game. And when Rattler has to
- 41:14Speaker 1: throw the ball, a lot. He makes mistakes. He makes
- 41:18Speaker 1: lots of mistakes when he's trailing, and I think Tennessee
- 41:22Speaker 1: is gonna roll in that one. I know, I'm not
- 41:24Speaker 1: saying South Carolina is a team that was gonna win
- 41:26Speaker 1: nine or ten games, but I think they're a team
- 41:28Speaker 1: that every once in a while, because again, beamers taking
- 41:31Speaker 1: a program, and I I don't think it's a disappointment
- 41:34Speaker 1: this year compared to how that program over the last
- 41:38Speaker 1: two years is actually trended up. I think South Carolina
- 41:41Speaker 1: is a pretty decent place to continue to grow. I
- 41:44Speaker 1: think that's a little school that can scare somebody occasionally.
- 41:47Speaker 1: And I just really wanted to be Tennessee. That's what
- 41:49Speaker 1: I did. I just really want to be Tennessee rand
- 41:50Speaker 1: and that's what it is. That's yeah, you're an SEC, heyter.
- 41:52Speaker 1: You don't want the SEC in the playoff? Do you?
- 41:54Speaker 1: You don't want two teams and I want three teams
- 41:56Speaker 1: in there. I want if I if I get to
- 42:00Speaker 1: pick it, I went three teams in there. But I
- 42:02Speaker 1: would still if Tennessee beat South Carolina. Oh, Tennessee, l
- 42:05Speaker 1: s U and Georgia get in. But I just I
- 42:08Speaker 1: live in Tennessee and I can't take it. I live
- 42:11Speaker 1: in it. I can't take Tennessee fans. When I lived
- 42:14Speaker 1: in Austin, I couldn't take Texas fans. I'm an Arkansas
- 42:16Speaker 1: fan first and foremost, but I can't take the volunteers.
- 42:19Speaker 1: I just if they went at all, I might just,
- 42:21Speaker 1: I don't know, move to Europe. You better get used
- 42:24Speaker 1: to it, because I think Tennessee's here to stay for
- 42:26Speaker 1: a few years there there there recruitings been killer here lately,
- 42:31Speaker 1: and man goodness, they don't have a defense right now.
- 42:34Speaker 1: Just wait till they get a defense in place here
- 42:36Speaker 1: the next couple of years. And Mike mollis about Brandon
- 42:38Speaker 1: Cancel that we don't know anymore. Yeah, we don't. We go.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Let's move on, Let's move west. And just a few
- 42:44Speaker 1: of these games that are happening this week that I
- 42:45Speaker 1: think are very interesting again applications when it comes to
- 42:48Speaker 1: the playoff USC and U c l A. Your thoughts
- 42:51Speaker 1: in that game and if USC can be the team
- 42:52Speaker 1: that comes from out west. I've been not as high
- 42:56Speaker 1: on USC this year as a lot of people. In fact,
- 42:59Speaker 1: it was fun is the fundel of my mind. How
- 43:02Speaker 1: U c l A was below USC in the rankings
- 43:06Speaker 1: for the last like three weeks up until this past week,
- 43:09Speaker 1: and so I think U c l A has not
- 43:12Speaker 1: only got a chance in this, but I'm picking U
- 43:14Speaker 1: c l A straight up to win it because I
- 43:17Speaker 1: think U c l A is better in the trenches
- 43:20Speaker 1: against USC. They're very physical upfront. UM. U c l
- 43:24Speaker 1: A has got more experience. They got a veteran quarterback,
- 43:28Speaker 1: you know, vtr might not be the Patrick Mahomes light
- 43:33Speaker 1: that that Kayleb Williams has turned into at USC, but
- 43:38Speaker 1: he's a veteran guy. They can run the ball, they
- 43:41Speaker 1: can win a number of different ways. I like that
- 43:44Speaker 1: veteran leadership, and I think U c l A is
- 43:46Speaker 1: gonna quote unquote upset USC this week and further disrupt
- 43:51Speaker 1: the PAC twelves ability to get in the playoff this year.
- 43:54Speaker 1: Let's just say USC does win, all right, let's throw
- 43:57Speaker 1: that out there. Can they well, can they be one
- 43:59Speaker 1: of the teams? Yes, I think it is extremely possible
- 44:05Speaker 1: UM that they would get in UM at that point.
- 44:07Speaker 1: But I do think that style points are gonna matter.
- 44:10Speaker 1: And secondly, the schedule is actually kind of working out
- 44:13Speaker 1: for USC here lately because USC hasn't really played anybody
- 44:17Speaker 1: in the top twenty five other than one team as
- 44:20Speaker 1: of right now. But they in this season potentially against
- 44:24Speaker 1: three straight top twenty five teams, starting this week against
- 44:27Speaker 1: U C. L A. They've got notre game, which is
- 44:29Speaker 1: all of a sudden, the top twenty five team once again,
- 44:32Speaker 1: and then of course in the Pac twelve Championship game,
- 44:34Speaker 1: they'll play a top twenty five team and that will
- 44:37Speaker 1: stick out to the playoff committee. The playoff Committee takes
- 44:39Speaker 1: into consideration. One, they love conference champions. That is one
- 44:43Speaker 1: of their top things they look at. If your conference champion,
- 44:45Speaker 1: you don't get the benefit of the doubt more times
- 44:47Speaker 1: than not. And then secondly, if you finish the season
- 44:50Speaker 1: on a role like that against top twenty five teams
- 44:52Speaker 1: and you win, and you do so impressively, I think
- 44:55Speaker 1: it's probably gonna be pretty difficult for them to keep
- 44:57Speaker 1: USC out of the playoff field. Well, Utah has something
- 45:00Speaker 1: to say about that. Oregon did have something to say
- 45:02Speaker 1: about it till last week until they lost. But Utah
- 45:04Speaker 1: and Oregon are playing each other, so I mean, any
- 45:08Speaker 1: chance Utah climbs into the playoff, no, Utah's out. Utah's out.
- 45:14Speaker 1: But they continue to kind of upset things, and they're
- 45:18Speaker 1: they're playing the spoiler right now, much like L s
- 45:20Speaker 1: U is a little bit uh, you know, Utah is
- 45:23Speaker 1: kind of like an L s U spot, except L
- 45:25Speaker 1: s U has got a legitimate shot to make the playoff.
- 45:27Speaker 1: Utah I don't think does at all. But, um, how
- 45:31Speaker 1: does Oregon respond after losing the way they did against
- 45:34Speaker 1: Washington last week? That had been a little disheartening. They
- 45:38Speaker 1: had one of the longest home winning streaks in all
- 45:40Speaker 1: of college football this season and to lose the way
- 45:43Speaker 1: they did, Bo Nicks not able to lead them to
- 45:46Speaker 1: victory in the final minute. Um, how do they respond?
- 45:50Speaker 1: This is the first time they've really had a setback.
- 45:52Speaker 1: I mean, listen, they won. They've lost in Week one
- 45:55Speaker 1: against George, but it was a blowout and so that's
- 45:57Speaker 1: a little bit easier to get over than say a
- 45:59Speaker 1: close law at home, especially when you're in the playoff. Hunt. Um,
- 46:03Speaker 1: but I really like Utah at this point. Cam Rising
- 46:07Speaker 1: is amazing quarterback. Does not get enough credit for what
- 46:10Speaker 1: he does, especially when he's able to create and run
- 46:12Speaker 1: the ball. But I think Oregon is gonna win this
- 46:15Speaker 1: one at home, and I would not be surprised if
- 46:18Speaker 1: it's actually a double digit win for Oregon just because
- 46:21Speaker 1: of the personnel matchups I look at with Utah defense
- 46:26Speaker 1: going up against this Oregon passing attack with bo Nix,
- 46:29Speaker 1: and I think the Ducks end up winning this one
- 46:32Speaker 1: pretty comfortably. Honestly, I've made a parallel between the Minnesota
- 46:35Speaker 1: Vikings and TCU, where they just win and you don't
- 46:41Speaker 1: really expect them to win, but they keep on winning,
- 46:43Speaker 1: so you have to respect them, and the games aren't
- 46:45Speaker 1: always pretty, but again they are winning. And so if
- 46:50Speaker 1: TCU wins the Big Twelve, obviously they're in. But are
- 46:54Speaker 1: they one of the top four or five or six
- 46:56Speaker 1: teams In my opinion, probably not, But again it's a
- 46:58Speaker 1: Power five school. Same with Minnesota, TCU and Baylor. I mean,
- 47:02Speaker 1: does TCU get upset in the next couple of weeks
- 47:05Speaker 1: the Big Twelve Championship. What are your thoughts on the
- 47:08Speaker 1: program there as it goes into the playoff? This game
- 47:11Speaker 1: is a coin flip to me. I think this and
- 47:14Speaker 1: might actually end up being the week that TCU finally
- 47:17Speaker 1: does fall. We've seen them have these comeback victories, four
- 47:21Speaker 1: of them in the second half when trailing by double digits.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Baylor just got blown out at home by Kansas State,
- 47:28Speaker 1: and so people I think are overlooking them a little bit.
- 47:31Speaker 1: But I'll say this, I think two of the better
- 47:33Speaker 1: coaching staffs and all the Big Twelve are at TCU
- 47:36Speaker 1: and Baylor. TCU has done a great job of in
- 47:41Speaker 1: game adjustments this season, which has led to those big
- 47:44Speaker 1: time comebacks in the second half. Their defense, led by
- 47:48Speaker 1: their coordinator there, who came from Tulsa, is really using
- 47:51Speaker 1: some type of unique schemes and nothing really looks the
- 47:55Speaker 1: same week to week or even half to half in
- 47:58Speaker 1: these games, and it's completely the confusing opponents. Baylor, though,
- 48:03Speaker 1: has an amazing staff led by Jeff Grimes. He offits
- 48:06Speaker 1: a coordinator there, really love what he's doing. He's going
- 48:09Speaker 1: to be a Power five head coach here soon. This
- 48:12Speaker 1: is going to be an amazing matching of wits and
- 48:15Speaker 1: in game adjustments. And I think Baylor upsets TCU this
- 48:21Speaker 1: week and throws the playoff into a little bit more
- 48:24Speaker 1: of a tizzy here, and the Big Twelve is gonna
- 48:27Speaker 1: end up being potentially left out of the fold. I mean,
- 48:30Speaker 1: it could be full TIS. I like that it could
- 48:32Speaker 1: be full Tis, depending on Ohio State Michigan they play
- 48:37Speaker 1: if L s U happens, and I don't think they will.
- 48:39Speaker 1: But let let's just play the game here L s U.
- 48:41Speaker 1: Let's say they win. Let's say USA loses US he
- 48:44Speaker 1: loses another game. Who the heck is getting in the
- 48:47Speaker 1: places the first time where there have been like a
- 48:50Speaker 1: lot of teams where you're going, Man, there really are
- 48:53Speaker 1: some options here in the final four teams that I
- 48:57Speaker 1: haven't thought about. What do you think is gonna happen here?
- 49:00Speaker 1: There's a lot of different scenarios and and and more
- 49:04Speaker 1: so than I've seen here in recent years. But I
- 49:08Speaker 1: kind of feel that that things are just gonna work
- 49:10Speaker 1: out and we're not gonna see much movement up there.
- 49:14Speaker 1: I think TCU is probably gonna probably find a way,
- 49:17Speaker 1: and if not, I think that will just make things
- 49:20Speaker 1: a little bit easier for the PAC twelve to get
- 49:22Speaker 1: in there. And then it's just kind of a question
- 49:24Speaker 1: of one, can L s U upset Georgia in the
- 49:28Speaker 1: SEC Championship game to throw things even even crazier. Then
- 49:32Speaker 1: you've got Tennessee, which is just sitting pretty in my eyes.
- 49:35Speaker 1: They've got South Carolina and Vanderbilt left on the schedule.
- 49:39Speaker 1: All they got to really worry about is, you know,
- 49:42Speaker 1: to see if this You know, TCU remains undefeated at
- 49:45Speaker 1: this point, and they've got to feel pretty good about
- 49:48Speaker 1: their spot about potentially getting in as a four seed.
- 49:51Speaker 1: But there there are options there where, um, if things
- 49:55Speaker 1: get really crazy, we might end up seeing three SEC
- 49:58Speaker 1: teams in there Christmas. It would take it would take
- 50:05Speaker 1: quite a bit of movement. You would need one. You
- 50:07Speaker 1: need a two loss champion in the Pack twelve because
- 50:10Speaker 1: that team would be eliminated not be in, and that
- 50:12Speaker 1: team would have to probably be Utah at that point.
- 50:15Speaker 1: And then you need a one loss Big twelve champion,
- 50:17Speaker 1: which would maybe be a TCU or someone else. But
- 50:20Speaker 1: TCU needs to lose here in the regular season obviously.
- 50:23Speaker 1: If that happens, I think because of the game of
- 50:27Speaker 1: it being the last regular season game, I say the
- 50:29Speaker 1: game Michigan and Ohio state that the loser of that
- 50:34Speaker 1: could be on the outside looking in. And then that
- 50:36Speaker 1: throws in Tennessee in there, and then you've got l
- 50:39Speaker 1: s U as the SEC champion against Georgia. I don't
- 50:43Speaker 1: know how you keep them out because even though they
- 50:46Speaker 1: got two losses, you've beaten the inarguable number one team
- 50:49Speaker 1: in the country in Georgia, and then Georgia wouldn't fall
- 50:52Speaker 1: all that far themselves, and you'd have to put them
- 50:55Speaker 1: in as well. So you could see Georgia Tennessee and
- 51:00Speaker 1: l s us an SEC champion in the playoff. Old
- 51:02Speaker 1: and boy with that upset most of the country. If
- 51:05Speaker 1: Michigan and Ohio State play close and play strong, I
- 51:09Speaker 1: don't know any chance they both just stay up there.
- 51:13Speaker 1: It's possible, but unlikely in my eyes at this point
- 51:18Speaker 1: because everything else that's going on around them. I do
- 51:21Speaker 1: wonder though, if the game was played in the middle
- 51:25Speaker 1: of the season instead of the end of this season,
- 51:28Speaker 1: if that recency bias wouldn't necessarily be in there, and
- 51:31Speaker 1: then at the end of the year we would say, yeah,
- 51:34Speaker 1: those are the two two of the top four teams.
- 51:36Speaker 1: I think they might end up being the loser of
- 51:38Speaker 1: that game, might end up being a victim of circumstances
- 51:41Speaker 1: scheduling um, which is a shame to say. And once
- 51:45Speaker 1: again it shows us that we need to go to
- 51:47Speaker 1: a twelve team playoffs sooner than later. Yeah, by twelve
- 51:50Speaker 1: sixty four, let's do it all. Let's go full November
- 51:53Speaker 1: December madness. That would be awesome. Jimbo Fisher, let's go Brandon,
- 52:00Speaker 1: Come on, Jimbo Fisher. What's happening. Uh, He's not gonna
- 52:03Speaker 1: get fired this year. Um, I just don't see that
- 52:06Speaker 1: happening that. I know. Everybody's like, well, Texas and them's
- 52:09Speaker 1: got that oil money and they just get get some
- 52:11Speaker 1: cash out that cowboy boot and you know, and and
- 52:14Speaker 1: pay them off. Not gonna happen, not this year. Then
- 52:17Speaker 1: there's a few reasons why. One, they'd have to pay
- 52:20Speaker 1: over a hundred million dollars to not only Fisher but
- 52:24Speaker 1: of course his staff and buy out money. But I
- 52:27Speaker 1: think more than the money issue, which is substantial and
- 52:30Speaker 1: probably insurmountable for them to overcome, but you have invested
- 52:36Speaker 1: in Jimbo Fisher's ideas and his plan, and he's been
- 52:40Speaker 1: building this program through top four recruiting classes. They just
- 52:45Speaker 1: brought in the top recruiting class ever in college football
- 52:49Speaker 1: history according to the Seven Sports Recruiting rankings. And then
- 52:54Speaker 1: also if you look at their snap counts this year,
- 52:56Speaker 1: they're the only SEC team that has had at least
- 53:01Speaker 1: one freshman on the field at every moment, so a
- 53:08Speaker 1: of their snaps a true freshman has been out there
- 53:10Speaker 1: on the field. They are by far the most inexperiencing
- 53:13Speaker 1: youngest team in the SEC, and all those guys, of
- 53:17Speaker 1: course highly rated, But it isn't like you could just
- 53:19Speaker 1: throw these kids in the microwave popham in thirty seconds
- 53:23Speaker 1: later to come out and they're steaming hot. It's just
- 53:25Speaker 1: doesn't how it works in college football. Even if you're
- 53:27Speaker 1: a five star guy. You gotta come in and some
- 53:29Speaker 1: of these players, especially lineman which A and M has
- 53:32Speaker 1: had to lean on, they had need about a year
- 53:34Speaker 1: in that the program and strength and conditioning to properly develop.
- 53:37Speaker 1: So you gotta give Fisher at least another year. With
- 53:41Speaker 1: all these recruiting classes he's had, and of course this
- 53:43Speaker 1: number one core that has played a lot of snaps
- 53:46Speaker 1: this past season, but obviously still very young. I think
- 53:50Speaker 1: this would be a much different conversation. Say it's in
- 53:54Speaker 1: November of two thousand twenty three, if they got a
- 53:56Speaker 1: losing record at that point, Jimbo Fisher's bags are probably
- 53:59Speaker 1: already passed. Isn't it his fault? Though there's a freshman
- 54:03Speaker 1: playing every down, He's had plenty of time to develop
- 54:06Speaker 1: the talent there it's not like he's a new coach
- 54:08Speaker 1: in his second year. And I completely understand, but isn't
- 54:11Speaker 1: that kind of his fault that those snap counts are
- 54:13Speaker 1: filled with freshman that and also, you've got to use
- 54:16Speaker 1: the transfer portal a little bit better if you're him
- 54:18Speaker 1: to be able to fill in the media needs if
- 54:20Speaker 1: you need to do so. But then again, maybe this
- 54:23Speaker 1: is something he's communicated to his his bosses. They're like, hey, listen,
- 54:27Speaker 1: I've identified as two thousand twenty two or two thousand
- 54:30Speaker 1: twenty one is a year we might see a little
- 54:32Speaker 1: dip here because we're preparing for something in twenty three
- 54:34Speaker 1: and twenty four to contend for a national championship with
- 54:37Speaker 1: the way we're going after these high school recruits. But again,
- 54:41Speaker 1: I'm with you there, that is his fault. And even
- 54:44Speaker 1: if you see this coming, there are ways to UH
- 54:48Speaker 1: to counteract that counterbalance all that through the transfer portal,
- 54:51Speaker 1: and we're seeing it now. In goodness gracious, look at
- 54:53Speaker 1: Lane Kiffin at old miss uh USC Lincoln Riley is
- 54:58Speaker 1: first year you're able to restock and fill these voids
- 55:02Speaker 1: in the matter of a snap of finger or a
- 55:04Speaker 1: phone call going hey, come here and play by the way,
- 55:08Speaker 1: in I l deal might be coming your way as well.
- 55:10Speaker 1: I hear, and then they get on campus and everything's fixed.
- 55:14Speaker 1: Jimbo has not done a very good job with that. Well,
- 55:16Speaker 1: pause this interview with Brandon for a second talk about

- 56:27Speaker 1: seven seven eight hopeing why or text hope and why
- 56:29Speaker 1: for six seven three six nine Two quick things to
- 56:32Speaker 1: end this with Lane Auburn, those have been kind of mixed.
- 56:36Speaker 1: You know, they've been mixing that soup up a little bit. One.
- 56:39Speaker 1: Do you Lane loves to flirt, So just because I
- 56:43Speaker 1: see it, I don't. I definitely don't believe it's true
- 56:45Speaker 1: just because I see it. And would that even be
- 56:48Speaker 1: a great job to take? Because you know, Auburn if
- 56:51Speaker 1: they don't beat Alabama and Lane and Saban do you
- 56:54Speaker 1: think there's any chance Lane could go to Auburn, And
- 56:56Speaker 1: who do you think is right for that Auburn job?
- 56:58Speaker 1: What are you hearing? I think there's a very real
- 57:01Speaker 1: chance that he takes that job. Lane Kiffin to Auburn
- 57:04Speaker 1: makes a lot of sense. And also Auburn's betting on
- 57:08Speaker 1: that they're going after him. Um, you know, it wasn't
- 57:11Speaker 1: twenty minutes after Brian Arson was fired at Auburn that
- 57:15Speaker 1: I was reporting that Lane Kiffin is the number one
- 57:19Speaker 1: target because I know people around the new athletics director there,
- 57:22Speaker 1: John Cohen, and I'm familiar with the Auburn folks there,
- 57:25Speaker 1: and Kiffen is their top priority right now. And you're
- 57:29Speaker 1: gonna hear something in these next two weeks whether or
- 57:32Speaker 1: not he's going to take that job. And I think
- 57:34Speaker 1: that the conversations will be serious when they're actually able
- 57:37Speaker 1: to sit down and discuss that. Will Lane take it?
- 57:41Speaker 1: Is he in a different headspace right now than he was,
- 57:43Speaker 1: say three four five, and even obviously ten years ago
- 57:47Speaker 1: when everybody was making fun of him for always bouncing
- 57:49Speaker 1: around from job to job. Yeah, I think he's in
- 57:52Speaker 1: a different headspace. He's more mature. But secondly, he needs
- 57:56Speaker 1: to look at himself in the mirror and go okay.
- 57:58Speaker 1: So even publicly he said and complained about Old Miss
- 58:02Speaker 1: this past year and saying, why are people showing up
- 58:06Speaker 1: the games at eleven AM here at Ole Miss when
- 58:07Speaker 1: we got top fifteen team. He's calling out the fan base.
- 58:10Speaker 1: Earlier this season, he has complained about losing his defensive
- 58:14Speaker 1: coordinator DJ Durkin to Texas A and M because they
- 58:17Speaker 1: got outbid and they didn't have enough money to keep
- 58:19Speaker 1: them there even though they wanted to keep him there
- 58:20Speaker 1: at Old Miss. And he's also complained about n i
- 58:23Speaker 1: L money around Old Miss and not having deep enough
- 58:26Speaker 1: reserves to be able to compete against the likes of
- 58:29Speaker 1: Texas A and M or Tennessee at Auburn, none of
- 58:33Speaker 1: that is going to be an issue. They're in i L.
- 58:36Speaker 1: Reserves are incredibly huge, and they're building even further. They
- 58:40Speaker 1: just opened up a ninety two million dollar football facility
- 58:44Speaker 1: here within the last week. And you're at a program,
- 58:47Speaker 1: by the way, you never have to worry about the
- 58:50Speaker 1: fan base not showing up. Heck, they packed the stadium
- 58:53Speaker 1: for a game between two losing programs this past week,
- 58:57Speaker 1: and the environment I was told after the game with
- 58:59Speaker 1: the student sect and was comparable to the Iron Bowl.
- 59:02Speaker 1: So you add all that up and the tradition at
- 59:07Speaker 1: Auburn where we like to make fun of Auburn and
- 59:09Speaker 1: say it's Auburn being Auburn, them having some bad years,
- 59:12Speaker 1: them firing coaches and giving them big buyouts or whatever.
- 59:15Speaker 1: But the other truth is is that Auburn competes for
- 59:19Speaker 1: SEC championships about once every three or four years. They've
- 59:23Speaker 1: been to multiple national championship games, and they have won
- 59:27Speaker 1: two national championships, including of course back in two thousand
- 59:31Speaker 1: and ten. So did you do that? Old mess? History
- 59:35Speaker 1: says no, you can't. And with all those limitations that
- 59:38Speaker 1: Lane Kiffin has talked about publicly, there's no telling what
- 59:42Speaker 1: else Lane Kiffin might think privately. So yes, I think
- 59:46Speaker 1: there is a very real chance and shot for Auburn
- 59:50Speaker 1: to Lane the land Land Lane Kiffin on the plane.
- 59:54Speaker 1: I love it. I just love drama. I just love drama.
- 59:56Speaker 1: I'd love a story. I love it. I love Lane.
- 59:59Speaker 1: Imagine that matching the Iron Bowl and Lane and Nick
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: going at each other, and not just year to year,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: but day to day, because in that state it's day
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: to day and they're gonna be at each other's throat.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: That would be perfect at Brandon Marcelo on Instagram. Hey, hey, Brandon,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: I follow you and I was looking at a picture
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: you posted on Twitter and you had a pair of pants,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: really big pants that you were holding up. So those
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: were your pants right now, some clown They're fun. We
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: talked about that those were your pants and you were
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: showing I guess how much how much weight you lost? Right?
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: How healthy you are now? What? What was? What is
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: that journey for you? It's been insane. I've lost between
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: fifty pounds, I've gained some back from strength training. I'm
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: trying to get buff now. But um, it was about
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: a year and a half journey just simply walking and
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: jogging and of course watching what I eat and dieting.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: And now it's a lifestyle change for me and I'm
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: keeping that up and it's been great. And you know,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: I was, I was going through my closet. I trying
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: to get the guts to go through my closet and
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: clean out my suits because I'm one of those people
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: are like, I am not getting rid of the suit
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: because one I'm just gonna get bigger and I don't
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: want to lose it, but to UM, I can't afford
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: to go buy more suits, you know it, So I'm afraid.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: I finally got the guts, I said, you know what,
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: I've made this change, I'm sticking with it. I can't
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: get rid of these suits. So I went in there
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: started getting him out, and I found one suit. It
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: was the last one I had bought before I lost
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: his way, and it was a jacket size was the
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: fifty six regular and I'm wearing now a forty. So
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: I've lost sixteen suits sizes. And I I just about
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: broke down because I didn't realize how big I was,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: even though I lived in this body. And I was like,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: you know what, I'm gonna put put this on and
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: see what it's like. And I couldn't believe. I couldn't
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: believe it. Um. I put my arms down in the
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: pants along with side with my body, and my wife
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: took pictures, said you should be so proud of yourself,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: and and UM, I was arie down on myself that
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: day too. UM, And I was like, you know what,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: it's amazing how far I've come. And I just you
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: don't realize it when you're living at day to day
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: but when you're able to use something that is that
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: far in your past, it's it's it's jarring to see
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: that and to see that picture. I've saved that picture
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: now and so if I'm ever feeling down about myself,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: I'll look at that and go, anything's possible, because if
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: I did that, then I can do anything. And so inspirational. Dude,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: that's I'm super pumped for you. I mean, what's just
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: it's just an inch at a time because that that
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: is not something and any and anybody can do it, man.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: And if I how when people say that, you know,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: like if I could do it, you could like legitimately
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: like knowing me and how my brain works. If I
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: can do it, man, anybody can do it. And you're
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: exactly right. It's like a day to time at inch
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: of time. If it's about consistency, if you legitimately just
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: do something one day and then say my body hurts,
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: I don't want to do next do the next day.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: I'm telling you after about a week and a half,
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: two weeks of that, it really is kind of a
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: piece of cake. Are my main guy? Mike's our producer,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: Like you started walking, he lost a hundred and ten
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: pounds and he started he started walking and cutting soda,
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: and then he walked until he got to where he
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: could jog a little bit. And and he preaches, I
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: didn't start running marathon after day two, Like I walked
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: a little bit more each day, a little bit more.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: I'm really proud for your Brandon. That is like real inspiration.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: I know we talked about sports, and you know it's
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: fun and I love sports as do. You made a
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: career out of it, but that's it's somewhat trivial in
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: the in the grand scheme. But I think what you
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: just shared, like, that's that's the real deal. And I'm
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: glad that you're able to share that and just to
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: live it and inspire others to do the same. Yeah,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: here's the thing. Minutes a day to add decades to
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: your life. That's how I see it. And I keep
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: eating those little Debby cakes you and Nick Saban. I know, Okay,
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: there is Brandon Marcelo. We we got a whole master
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: class here in football, and I'm inspired. And today for lunch,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: grilled chicken. Yeah all right, at Brandon Marcella. Brandon, thank
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: you awesome. You're the best, and hopefully We'll see you soon.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: All my final thoughts everybody. By the way, great show,
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: good job, good job too, good job, good job. Guys.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: I need your prayers this weekend. Me and kick off Kevin.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Here are the coaches for the Laker Bones. We have
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: our first game on Saturday. Oh my gosh, dude, we're
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: playing the Wildcats. I told my boys and Kevin you
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: were there, guys. This is the first game of the season.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: This is gonna set the tone for our season. We
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: need a w So we got our jerseys in yesterday.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: I'm putting the patches on them tonight. Dude. I'm so pumped.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: Quick interruption here. By the time you hear this, the
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: Packers and Titans are to be over. That game is
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: Thursday night, and so this will be a good job
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: at him. Yeah. So this is what happened the Titans
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: one again. I have really really they could. They actually
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: passed them all pretty well for the first time this
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: whole year. It's been a lot of just run and
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: tan Hill has been out. But they I think he
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: said one play where Derrick Can reruns for a hundred
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: and thirty yards on one play? Did I see it?
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: He ran backwards? It was like tech Mobile. Yeah, ran backward,
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: took his helmet off Pete in the corner, put it
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: back on, and then ran a score. It was I
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: couldn't believe they get hunt three yard. I've never seen
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: anything like that. The Titans went again, is amazing. How
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: about the Packers, they're back. Aaron Rodgers man, you want
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: to hate him, but he's so good. He got that
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: haircut on the sideline because they were down seven and
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: I saw the guy come. I was like, why don't
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: you have clippers on the sideline and they cut his
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: hair and he went out there with a haircut and
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: he was a different guy. Yeah, that's crazy. Why old?
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: So congrats to the Packers. They're back, Baby, the Packs back?
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: All right, there's both options in case whatever happens happened. Yeah,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: who cares? Kevin. My final thought actually has to do
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: with our first game in this league. Happened this weekend
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: as well, and Eddie came to me asking if I
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: could be a coach assistant coach. Yeah, of course, man,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: I'll help you out. And then he drops the news
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: on me a couple of days ago. Hey, by the way,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna miss three games. I'll be out of Town.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: So you think you can handle the three games at
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: about It Town? What's an assistant coach there for? Dude? Exactly,
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: all right, that's what he's for. That's exactly it. Bill
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: self like what, he's out a few games, cheated whatever.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: His assistant has to step up cover for him. They
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: call Kevin two. He was like, I can, yeah, I
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: got He got in a podcast and complain about it.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: What what? What's funny is once Eddie loses all the
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: games and you come in, Jeff Saturday Saturday starts winning,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: I get Wally pips. Kevin Saturday shows up, makes a difference.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: My son doesn't want to talk to me anymore. Kevin
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: does a press conference, I know I can lead me
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: in Adam. I don't find myself cheering for Auburn a
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: whole lot, but it's hard not to get excited about
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Cadillac Williams. Anytime I see a guy go back to
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: his alma mater and pick up the slack when they
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: need him, I'm in for that. So Auburn, best of
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: luck this weekend. I'm glad you put him on the
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: part lay this week by me. Cooper Cup to the
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: I R. So he's gonna be at least four weeks
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: we thought that. My final thought, I'll give you one
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: more fantasy thing. If you can trade for Zeke now,
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: I would anyone want them. I would take them right
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: now because you're gonna pretty cheap. It's just a big
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: if if you have the ability to get him and
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: hold him for that risk, because they're gonna run him
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: when he's healthy. They're gonna run. My final thought is
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: about guitar or cutter, however you want to say. It's
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: been said both ways. What about it? Where the World
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: Cup is and it's bizarre. They shouldn't have it, and
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: it's bizarre. And I'm watching people go and just shoot
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: in the street like a stand up piece, like a reporter,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: doing nothing wrong, and people show up they're like, nope,
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: they cover it up that you can't do it. There
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: are stories people taking pictures of just the logo there
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: and they're like, nope, you can't do it. They're shutting
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: stuff down. It's like they're making sure that certain things
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: aren't seen from where they're having the World Cup, things
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: that aren't even controversial. So what are they hiding that
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: are a controversy? Like what's happening? Who are they killing.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: I'm sorry, where is Cutter? I believe it's in Africa.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: Cutter Africa. I think it's in the Middle Eague, which
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: would be Africa. Well, really something, I mean, really, I've
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: said Cutter. Probably are times in my life I don't
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: know where that is. Yeah, I don't either, That's why
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: I said, I don't know. That's crazy, man. It's all
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Middle East Asia. These Middle Eastern countries are part of
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: the Asian continent, with the exception of Egypt, which is
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: in Africa another part of Turkey. Okay, so the Middle
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: East is in both. But Mike's right, it is an Asia.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: Good job, Mikey, thank you. We're I'm looking at a
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: map and I still can't find Cutter above Saudi Arabia below.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: I ran, Oh, here we go, consuming in with your fingers,
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: here we go. Yeah, it's it's it's in between. All
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: those are the places I don't know where they are,
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Saudi Arabia, and I ran, it's in between all those places.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: I don't ever want to go either. In the Persian Gulf. Yeah,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: well it's weird over there. Man. I'll root for the
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: US because and I'm not a big soccer guy at all.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: But I'll root for the US, but it's dangerous. I
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: probably wouldn't want to go cover that one. Probably not
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: go USA though. Have a great have a great week.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: Hey Kevint want you blow us out? Buddy, We'll see
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: you guys. I'll see you guys next week. By Buddy one.
