Pender County Takes Over Emergency Services | Wilmington News
Pender County is officially taking control of its emergency medical and fire services starting July 5th, ending a yearlong standoff after the EMS and Fire board refused to share financial records. This consolidation—called Option B—costs over $1.8 million and unifies most emergency operations under one new department, Pender County Emergency Services, while Rocky Point and Maple Hill remain separate for now.
