- 6:07Speaker 6: one that created me.
- 6:09Speaker 2: That God drop it in my spirit. I try to
- 6:11Speaker 2: do it.
- 6:12Speaker 6: So you may see me all over the place sometimes,
- 6:15Speaker 6: but I'm only doing what He's told me to do.
- 6:19Speaker 2: So that that's that's the short version.
- 6:25Speaker 4: All right.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Now we're having a Cheryl La Grand tell us a
- 6:29Speaker 2: little bit about yourself. Good evening. I'm originally from New Jersey.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I resigned in North Carolina.
- 6:36Speaker 4: I'm an author, I'm an call author of several books
- 6:39Speaker 4: for the Queen, Miss Andrew Thompson. I'm also I just
- 6:43Speaker 4: started poetry last year. I also do all things like
- 6:47Speaker 4: vital Health, sell Healthy Supple Matched Marshall part of another team,
- 6:53Speaker 4: the Fighting Team.
- 6:55Speaker 7: Also alright, and last, but not least, we have a
- 7:03Speaker 7: Seannett Johnson.
- 7:05Speaker 8: Tell us a little bit about yourself. Well, my name
- 7:08Speaker 8: is Chanette Johnson. I am from California. I host a
- 7:15Speaker 8: podcast called Let's Talk About It, where we talk about
- 7:18Speaker 8: growing for conviction. I'm also married. I'm a mother of four,
- 7:23Speaker 8: a grandmother. I'm a commercial driver. I just found out
- 7:30Speaker 8: that I can write poetry in twenty twenty four. I
- 7:35Speaker 8: was encouraged to start writing from Angela.
- 7:39Speaker 2: She wants.
- 7:40Speaker 8: She pushed me in to write my feelings down. So
- 7:44Speaker 8: that's how I got started.
- 7:46Speaker 2: And that's it. So, ladies, what means you want to
- 8:01Speaker 2: you write? I mean we you all have multiple books out.
- 8:07Speaker 2: How do you keep that motivation to continue to write? Anyone?
- 8:15Speaker 3: For me?
- 8:17Speaker 2: Because under the ground I don't write money, so that
- 8:25Speaker 2: the board her Oh.
- 8:37Speaker 9: Yes, okay, after you.
- 8:40Speaker 10: Know, being money for twenty from the bigger writing, my
- 8:47Speaker 10: books were playing rod continue three small children, young adults.
- 8:53Speaker 10: I'm trying to leave the lever people graduate around school
- 8:57Speaker 10: and tells you went from college in the grad school
- 9:01Speaker 10: may night, and then I have a jumble when I
- 9:03Speaker 10: go to school online.
- 9:04Speaker 2: So the reason why I started writing it became.
- 9:09Speaker 9: No stop and it's for me and.
- 9:17Speaker 4: When I get it, when I'm going to leave.
- 9:21Speaker 2: The Okay, and I ain't apologize you guys. We're having
- 9:30Speaker 2: those technical difficulties, but you know what, We're gonna get
- 9:33Speaker 2: all this straight for you. Okay, Ms Moss, can you
- 9:35Speaker 2: answer the same question.
- 9:38Speaker 5: I think I first started journaling and then I just
- 9:44Speaker 5: would write stories just for fun. I also started when
- 9:50Speaker 5: I probably, as I'll say, around junior high school, I
- 9:55Speaker 5: did start first writing poetry and then other stories and saying,
- 10:01Speaker 5: like Cheryl said, it is a healing process for me.
- 10:06Speaker 5: And also I too would like to leave a legacy
- 10:09Speaker 5: for my children and my grandchildren just so they know
- 10:13Speaker 5: who their grandmother was, and you know, just things that
- 10:18Speaker 5: our family traditions and you know, things that we just
- 10:23Speaker 5: do in our family.
- 10:24Speaker 9: And so that's pretty much what guided me to write.
- 10:32Speaker 8: Okay, how about Jmis Johnson, Well, you know and twenty
- 10:38Speaker 8: twenty twenty twenty three, my son passed and I had
- 10:44Speaker 8: a hard time dealing with his transitioning, and you know,
- 10:50Speaker 8: I will I didn't have nobody I can talk to.
- 10:54Speaker 2: I felt like I was a burden to people when
- 10:59Speaker 2: I will call them and talk to him.
- 11:01Speaker 3: So with.
- 11:03Speaker 8: One day, I was talking to Angela and she was
- 11:08Speaker 8: just listening to me, and then she just told me, Schnet,
- 11:12Speaker 8: have you ever thought about writing it down?
- 11:14Speaker 2: Write it?
- 11:16Speaker 8: You know, write And so I began to to write
- 11:22Speaker 8: to him, to my son, to let him know how
- 11:26Speaker 8: I was feeling. And you know, my first poem was
- 11:31Speaker 8: entitled good night, where I was saying good night to
- 11:34Speaker 8: him at his service.
- 11:37Speaker 2: So you know, and plus I want.
- 11:42Speaker 8: Other parents that's dealing with the transitioning of a child,
- 11:47Speaker 8: if they ever pick up a poem and read my poem,
- 11:52Speaker 8: they can see that, you know, it's not easy, that
- 11:55Speaker 8: you're not the only one that's have them saying feelings.
- 12:01Speaker 8: And I want my children and my grandchildren to see that.
- 12:06Speaker 8: You know, no matter what the struggle that I deal
- 12:10Speaker 8: with trying to get over not trying to deal with
- 12:16Speaker 8: my sons transitioning that you know, it wasn't easy for me,
- 12:20Speaker 8: but I kept on I kept on going I kept
- 12:24Speaker 8: on moving.
- 12:26Speaker 2: So it looks like we're having a lot of technical difficulties.
- 12:29Speaker 2: And you guys, and that would be because we have
- 12:31Speaker 2: so many, so many great women on the show, and
- 12:35Speaker 2: you know, good and well, and you got a bunch
- 12:38Speaker 2: of powerful people. I'm not even gonna say women only,
- 12:42Speaker 2: but powerful people on one podcast. You know, Well, the
- 12:47Speaker 2: Devil's gonna try to do what he can do. But
- 12:49Speaker 2: guess what, we continue and we travel on. So missus Thomas,
- 12:53Speaker 2: how about you? Can you answer that question for me?
- 12:58Speaker 2: So I started writing after just dealing with a whole
- 13:02Speaker 2: lot of stuff. Life was happening, and unfortunately I I
- 13:08Speaker 2: was not handling it well and ended up having to
- 13:13Speaker 2: see a psychiatrist and two therapists. And one of my
- 13:18Speaker 2: therapists suggested that I write, so even if I didn't
- 13:24Speaker 2: do anything with it, she just suggested that I write.
- 13:27Speaker 2: So at that time, I was just journaling. I definitely
- 13:31Speaker 2: never thought I was a poet.
- 13:33Speaker 6: Uh.
- 13:34Speaker 2: That was something that I never thought I would be
- 13:37Speaker 2: an author.
- 13:38Speaker 6: Definitely never thought I would be a poet because when
- 13:40Speaker 6: I hear poetry, I I I used to hear people rhyming,
- 13:44Speaker 6: and I mean it was just they were just popping
- 13:46Speaker 6: it off the top of their head and they could
- 13:48Speaker 6: just come up with it at the drop of a dime.
- 13:50Speaker 6: And that was definitely not something that I could do.
- 13:53Speaker 6: So I did not think that that would be something
- 13:55Speaker 6: that I would be doing. I was challenged to write
- 14:00Speaker 6: a poem for a women's conference. It's been probably about
- 14:05Speaker 6: six or seven years ago. I was challenged to write
- 14:08Speaker 6: a poem. I I wrote it based on Proverbs thirty one.
- 14:14Speaker 6: The Victorious Virtualist Woman is what I titled it. And
- 14:18Speaker 6: when the conference leader received the poem, she loved it
- 14:24Speaker 6: and I ended up getting it framed for and it's
- 14:28Speaker 6: just like it. It started something within me and I
- 14:32Speaker 6: just started writing. I I was put in a place
- 14:35Speaker 6: where the podcast that I'm on, everybody over there can
- 14:40Speaker 6: do poetry. And when I say they can, at the
- 14:43Speaker 6: drop of a dime, just just pop it out, just
- 14:45Speaker 6: pop it out. So I just started writing words, and
- 14:49Speaker 6: and I realized that in writing words, that it's how
- 14:53Speaker 6: you say those words, and the emotions that you put
- 14:56Speaker 6: with those words is how that poem is perceived. Be
- 15:00Speaker 6: and and and and it does not matter what Each
- 15:04Speaker 6: person may get something different from your poem.
- 15:08Speaker 2: So one thing that I have done with this series is.
- 15:13Speaker 6: I interpreted the poems because a lot of people sometimes
- 15:16Speaker 6: they read poems and they sometime don't get what is
- 15:21Speaker 6: being said in the poem and they just draw they
- 15:25Speaker 6: own conclusion and then sometime it can be right, sometime
- 15:28Speaker 6: it can be off, sometime it can be totally off.
- 15:31Speaker 6: But what I did in this in in this series
- 15:34Speaker 6: was interpret the poems so that people could get a
- 15:37Speaker 6: understanding of what we were saying.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Not only that, I included a playlist so people can
- 15:46Speaker 2: listen to music while they.
- 15:48Speaker 6: Enjoy and reading our books and reading our poems, and
- 15:52Speaker 6: it it kind of give them an opportunity to kind
- 15:55Speaker 6: of relate to the things that we were feeling, what
- 15:59Speaker 6: was coming from our heart.
- 16:00Speaker 3: And so.
- 16:02Speaker 6: So that that that's the gist of me getting started
- 16:07Speaker 6: and why I write poetry, just a way for me
- 16:11Speaker 6: to release and I feel like there's someone out there
- 16:15Speaker 6: that can relate to some of the things that we
- 16:18Speaker 6: released through poems, and that sometimes people don't want to
- 16:21Speaker 6: sit down and read whole chapters. They don't want to
- 16:23Speaker 6: sit down and read long books. And if you can
- 16:26Speaker 6: give them that that that message in a short poem,
- 16:30Speaker 6: I think that is that's great, and it helped.
- 16:33Speaker 2: It can help a lot of people. So that's why
- 16:36Speaker 2: I continue to write poems. Visherlin, So I guess the
- 17:01Speaker 2: devil thought I was gonna stay out. Yeah, way back,
- 17:07Speaker 2: try again. So I don't know where we left off,
- 17:12Speaker 2: but we're just gonna keep on moving because you know what,
- 17:14Speaker 2: it has to be something in this for all this
- 17:17Speaker 2: technical difficulties, but we ain't even worry about it. So, ladies,
- 17:20Speaker 2: let me ask you a question. We're talking about legacies,
- 17:24Speaker 2: a lot of hearing a lot of people say legacies.
- 17:27Speaker 2: What legacy were you trying to leave? When you play sure?
- 17:45Speaker 2: I'm sorry? What was her question?
- 17:47Speaker 6: That the wind must be blowing really hard down there
- 17:50Speaker 6: in Charleston. It's something going on in Charleston, the wind.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Blowing blowing a lot. You've been going from eighty degrees
- 18:03Speaker 2: yesterday and now we're down to fifty something today, and
- 18:06Speaker 2: when it was hot. Gary Treary, my son even off
- 18:12Speaker 2: of work now because of all the technical difficulties, and
- 18:15Speaker 2: he works from home. So you guys, we're gonna bring
- 18:18Speaker 2: them back, but we're gonna push through because I don't
- 18:21Speaker 2: believe in giving up. I might break, but I ain't
- 18:23Speaker 2: gonna give up. I ain't trying to hit that right,
- 18:28Speaker 2: so and that's my share. You you offline. It's saying
- 18:34Speaker 2: that you are offline.
- 18:38Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, you only got you only got two bars,
- 18:44Speaker 6: you and Patrise, You and Patrise only got y'all bars
- 18:50Speaker 6: are really low all three miss m Miss Michelin, doctor,
- 18:55Speaker 6: doctor Michelin, and you share and Patrise. It's it's probably
- 19:04Speaker 6: that thing you can do it it's it usually be
- 19:07Speaker 6: the the Internet. But we all know that we can't
- 19:13Speaker 6: control technology. That that's one thing we can't control. We
- 19:16Speaker 6: can control a lot of things, but one thing we
- 19:18Speaker 6: can't control. This technology. We don't have no no, no
- 19:22Speaker 6: say so over that I tell you. But all we
- 19:27Speaker 6: can do is keep pushing. What was your question, Patrisa, what.
- 19:32Speaker 2: When you wrote your points in this book? What was
- 19:35Speaker 2: the legacy that you were wanting to leave your staticky?
- 19:51Speaker 6: But try going out and coming back in sharel Try
- 19:54Speaker 6: try going out and coming back in.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Micheline. Can you answer that question? Sure?
- 20:11Speaker 5: The legacy I wanted to leave is well, for one thing,
- 20:17Speaker 5: when I was born, my mother and father weren't married,
- 20:23Speaker 5: and so I have someone else's name on my birth certificate,
- 20:29Speaker 5: and I didn't want my kids, our children to not
- 20:34Speaker 5: know who their family was and where they came from.
- 20:39Speaker 5: So when I say I want to leave a legacy,
- 20:42Speaker 5: it's like I want them to know, like these are
- 20:45Speaker 5: your people, these this is their background. You know, this
- 20:49Speaker 5: is who actually gave birth to, you know, me who
- 20:52Speaker 5: I gave birth to. So the majority of it is
- 20:57Speaker 5: is based basically on that. Just so my family and
- 21:01Speaker 5: my children and those to come, you know who they
- 21:05Speaker 5: came from and where they came from. So that's basically
- 21:09Speaker 5: the legacy that I would like to leave them, for
- 21:13Speaker 5: them to have knowledge of their ancestors.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Sneth. The legacy I want to leave with my.
- 21:24Speaker 8: Children and my grandchildren is that you know, no matter
- 21:29Speaker 8: how hard life get, don't give up.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Keep on pushing.
- 21:34Speaker 8: You know, I want to lay well, I did lay
- 21:36Speaker 8: the foundation for my children to, you know, to keep
- 21:41Speaker 8: going no matter.
- 21:42Speaker 2: What, no matter what anyone say, no matter what anyone
- 21:46Speaker 2: do to you, you know, just keep going, you know,
- 21:50Speaker 2: never give up.
- 21:51Speaker 8: Never feel ashamed of who you are and where you
- 21:56Speaker 8: came from, because that's what built you. And by me
- 22:00Speaker 8: putting it in in words, they can see that, Okay,
- 22:06Speaker 8: Mama heard, Mama, kept going. You know, even I write
- 22:10Speaker 8: now I got to the point where I'm starting to
- 22:13Speaker 8: write about my two fell marriages.
- 22:16Speaker 9: You know, So.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Did I give up on love?
- 22:21Speaker 8: No? Because what I do, I don't want to got
- 22:23Speaker 8: married again, So you know, just I just want them
- 22:29Speaker 8: to keep going, keep being who God created them to be.
- 22:38Speaker 8: So for me, it's totally different from what these and
- 22:44Speaker 8: these young ladies have said because with me, my linits
- 22:48Speaker 8: stopped with me because I.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Don't have kids.
- 22:51Speaker 6: I have nieces and nephews, and I am my mother's
- 22:55Speaker 6: and my father's youngest. I am their baby, so it
- 22:59Speaker 6: stopped with me. So I I really wanna leave a
- 23:04Speaker 6: legacy where people get to h truly know my story,
- 23:09Speaker 6: get to truly know me and the journey that I
- 23:12Speaker 6: have been on. And and I'm so grateful and so
- 23:16Speaker 6: thankful that God has definitely showed me favor and allowing
- 23:20Speaker 6: me to be able to write and and and to
- 23:25Speaker 6: show others how to write, and to be able to
- 23:27Speaker 6: push out these.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Books and these literary works.
- 23:31Speaker 6: I I was over on Amazon today and I I
- 23:35Speaker 6: was just looking one hundred and seventy four literary pieces
- 23:41Speaker 6: on Amazon, and I was like wow, I was like,
- 23:44Speaker 6: I did that. Catherine and Glenn Thomas's baby girl. Did
- 23:48Speaker 6: that somebody that people said wouldn't mount to anything. You know,
- 23:55Speaker 6: when when my mom passed twelve days after my sixteenth birthday,
- 23:59Speaker 6: I was everything but.
- 24:00Speaker 2: A child of God, and I I I was. If
- 24:04Speaker 2: you knew my.
- 24:05Speaker 6: Journey and truly understood my journey, I am a A
- 24:08Speaker 6: a survivor. I am victorious against sexual assault, domestic violence, suicide, attempts,
- 24:18Speaker 6: you name it, I I I I probably.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Have experienced it.
- 24:22Speaker 6: But as I look back over my life, I truly
- 24:26Speaker 6: understand that everything that I endured it was necessary because
- 24:31Speaker 6: if it had not happened, I wouldn't be where I am.
- 24:34Speaker 6: And and you know, God knew who I was before
- 24:38Speaker 6: I was even conceived in my mother's room, and he
- 24:40Speaker 6: knew everything about me, so he knew what to equip
- 24:44Speaker 6: me with and how to EQUI equip me. So I
- 24:48Speaker 6: kind of enjoy, you know, every day I wake up
- 24:50Speaker 6: on this side, you know, I thank him for extending
- 24:53Speaker 6: his grace and his mercy. And then the next thing
- 24:55Speaker 6: I wanna know is what you want me to do today?
- 24:58Speaker 6: What you want me to do today? So I I
- 25:01Speaker 6: oftentimes people will thank me for this and thank me
- 25:05Speaker 6: for that, but God gets all the glory, because if
- 25:08Speaker 6: it was not for him, if it was not for
- 25:11Speaker 6: the gifts and the talents that he placed within me,
- 25:13Speaker 6: I wouldn't be able to do any other things. I
- 25:15Speaker 6: probably woulda gave up long time ago. I probably woulda
- 25:18Speaker 6: threw in the tower. I I probably woulda threw in
- 25:21Speaker 6: the tower a long time ago. But for me, I
- 25:23Speaker 6: just want people to truly get a opportunity to know
- 25:27Speaker 6: who Angela Thomas Smith truly was what she stood for,
- 25:33Speaker 6: and you know my morals, my values. I I just
- 25:38Speaker 6: want people to, you know, say that I knew her.
- 25:44Speaker 6: You know, my mom worked with her, my granny work
- 25:47Speaker 6: with her. You know I I I want people to
- 25:50Speaker 6: be able to truly know who I am. So that's
- 25:54Speaker 6: why I do what I do, and and that's why
- 25:57Speaker 6: I can't stop writing. You know, I said I was
- 26:00Speaker 6: gonna stop at a hundred books. That's that's what I said.
- 26:03Speaker 6: I said, if I can just get to a hundred books,
- 26:05Speaker 6: but I got there so fast, I didn't realize that
- 26:08Speaker 6: I was gonna do it that fast. So my next
- 26:13Speaker 6: goal was two hundred. And then today I looked and
- 26:15Speaker 6: they said a hundred and seventy four. I was like, Wow,
- 26:19Speaker 6: I said, I'm almost there, and I I got I
- 26:23Speaker 6: got some books coming out. I got some books coming
- 26:27Speaker 6: out soon. But I just love to write and and
- 26:31Speaker 6: I just love to give those that want an opportunity
- 26:34Speaker 6: to share their thoughts and to share what's in them
- 26:37Speaker 6: to be able to do the same. Because the Word
- 26:41Speaker 6: tells us that we should do greater works. How would
- 26:43Speaker 6: people know the works that we do if we don't
- 26:45Speaker 6: leave a blueprint, if we don't leave something behind that
- 26:49Speaker 6: they can see what we done. Because there's nothing changing
- 26:52Speaker 6: with the Bible. The Bible's gonna be the Bible. We
- 26:54Speaker 6: can't change that. But people have to know of those
- 26:57Speaker 6: greater works that we did and and to get out
- 27:01Speaker 6: subject because this has nothing to do with it. But
- 27:03Speaker 6: I I tell you one of the greatest miracles that
- 27:05Speaker 6: I'm seeing right before my life. And this young lady
- 27:08Speaker 6: she called me when she was first diagnosed with cancer
- 27:12Speaker 6: and she told me, she said, you always say you
- 27:14Speaker 6: wanna write a book about me. And she told me,
- 27:16Speaker 6: she said, you need to go here to write that book.
- 27:18Speaker 6: That's how she told me she had cancer. She said,
- 27:20Speaker 6: you need to go head and write that book. So
- 27:21Speaker 6: I wrote two books. I did two books for her,
- 27:24Speaker 6: and when she told me that she was in stage
- 27:28Speaker 6: four and that she had so many months, I I
- 27:30Speaker 6: look at her today. She sent a video she's dancing.
- 27:34Speaker 6: But yet she send me ah a message and and
- 27:37Speaker 6: tells me of all of the different things that the
- 27:41Speaker 6: doctor has told her that she has. But yet she
- 27:44Speaker 6: call She messaged me to encourage me on today.
- 27:47Speaker 2: HM.
- 27:48Speaker 6: With all the stuff that she got going on, I'm
- 27:51Speaker 6: talking about you talking about nine tumors. Here you talking
- 27:53Speaker 6: about cancer spreading to your hip, spreading to your liver,
- 27:56Speaker 6: spreading to this sprey. I mean every part said your body,
- 27:58Speaker 6: you can s, you can name, cancer has spread it there.
- 28:03Speaker 6: But yet she was up dancing.
- 28:04Speaker 2: She was up. She said I like doing this to music,
- 28:08Speaker 2: and she just I mean, that is a legacy. And
- 28:11Speaker 2: she has no kids.
- 28:13Speaker 6: So she is writing too, you know, and to be
- 28:16Speaker 6: able to encourage people and to be able to help
- 28:20Speaker 6: people leave a legacy that they would have something that
- 28:24Speaker 6: people will be able to remember them by. Because the
- 28:27Speaker 6: the book that I wrote for her, I actually it's
- 28:31Speaker 6: it's it's a journal type book on gratitude. Because I
- 28:34Speaker 6: call her the Queen of gratitude. Shared about a and
- 28:39Speaker 6: I included her m her family in this book. You know,
- 28:42Speaker 6: she gave me different things, bullet points on her family,
- 28:46Speaker 6: so I included her family in this book as well.
- 28:50Speaker 6: And she purchased some of the books and presented it
- 28:52Speaker 6: to her family and they were at all. You know,
- 28:55Speaker 6: That's what give me satisfaction, you know, I I I
- 28:59Speaker 6: I just God to to have that talent to be
- 29:02Speaker 6: able to do that and and to be able to
- 29:05Speaker 6: make a difference in somebody's life. So that that is
- 29:08Speaker 6: the legacy that I really want to leave. I I
- 29:11Speaker 6: I want people to say that that was a good lady.
- 29:14Speaker 6: You know, she cared for other people. She didn't always
- 29:16Speaker 6: just care about herself.
- 29:18Speaker 1: You know.
- 29:18Speaker 6: She she thought about the the well beings of others.
- 29:22Speaker 6: She pushed others to to to strive for more and
- 29:26Speaker 6: not settling for for little and settling for less. I
- 29:31Speaker 6: I want people to know that if I can do it,
- 29:33Speaker 6: you can do it too. Because God says he has
- 29:36Speaker 6: no respectable person. So if one of us can do it,
- 29:40Speaker 6: the next person can do it too. So that that
- 29:42Speaker 6: is one of the things that I I want to
- 29:47Speaker 6: leave with my writing, and and that's why I write,
- 29:50Speaker 6: and I can be long winded. So y'all, I'm gonna
- 29:52Speaker 6: pass the mic ar to doctor Michelin.
- 29:59Speaker 9: Well, I have I believe it's going that.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Did you go, oh, yes, I I want oh, I
- 30:08Speaker 2: think she she may have asked another question. But every
- 30:12Speaker 2: everything I talk about is always gonna tie back to
- 30:15Speaker 2: one thing, giving God glory. That that's what I do.
- 30:21Speaker 2: That's that's what I do.
- 30:23Speaker 6: And part of you know this series I I can
- 30:27Speaker 6: talk about this series. Click on the link sharel You
- 30:33Speaker 6: got to click on the link and come back in. No,
- 30:40Speaker 6: it's not removed.
- 30:41Speaker 2: You're gonna have to go back and go back in
- 30:43Speaker 2: the messenger that we were in and click on the link.
- 30:57Speaker 2: It's still in there. It's not been removed. I'll send
- 30:59Speaker 2: it to you. I'll send it to you. I tell you,
- 31:23Speaker 2: it's always something. Yes, it is always something. I just
- 31:27Speaker 2: send it to cher.
- 31:29Speaker 6: But again, we don't stop. When God dropped this series
- 31:34Speaker 6: in in my spirit it it was truly ah a
- 31:39Speaker 6: spiritual awakening for me. The first book, Shattered Silence. It
- 31:44Speaker 6: gave us the opportunity to share some things that we
- 31:47Speaker 6: may have been silent about and.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Able to talk about it and break free from some
- 31:58Speaker 2: of the things that we may have gone through.
- 32:01Speaker 6: So I'm gonna share with you guys the back of
- 32:04Speaker 6: the book how the back of the book reads. It says,
- 32:07Speaker 6: shuttered silence and shuttered silence. Rob Pain finds poetry. This
- 32:13Speaker 6: collection journeys through the darkest corners of human spirit. What
- 32:18Speaker 6: suffering is kept secret, and voices are smothered by fear, shame,
- 32:23Speaker 6: or traumor. Each poem peers into the quiet agony of suppression,
- 32:29Speaker 6: tracing invincible wounds.
- 32:31Speaker 2: That ache beneath the surface.
- 32:34Speaker 6: Yet even a man among the darkest there's a flicker
- 32:39Speaker 6: of defiance and trembling first steps towards recovery. You know,
- 32:44Speaker 6: we all sign sometime that there's things that we've been
- 32:48Speaker 6: through that we are solid about.
- 32:52Speaker 2: I wanna talk about my domestic violence.
- 32:54Speaker 6: I went through domestic violence, and for a long time
- 32:56Speaker 6: I didn't talk about it because I was a shamed.
- 32:59Speaker 6: I was a shamed because people saw me as a
- 33:01Speaker 6: strong person. They saw me as this person that, oh
- 33:04Speaker 6: that would never happen to her. She ain't taking it,
- 33:07Speaker 6: she ain't taking it.
- 33:08Speaker 2: And and that's that that that was me.
- 33:10Speaker 6: I I I always said that I will never let
- 33:12Speaker 6: anybody put their hand on me. But when you in
- 33:14Speaker 6: a dark place, you can never say what you will
- 33:19Speaker 6: and what you won't do. And when I tell you
- 33:21Speaker 6: I was truly in a dark place. I was in
- 33:23Speaker 6: a dark place. But I had to wake up. I
- 33:28Speaker 6: I I had to come out. And that was the
- 33:31Speaker 6: gathered light part. You know that when when I came out,
- 33:36Speaker 6: I began to see the light, you know. I I
- 33:39Speaker 6: began to to to truly see that I was worthy,
- 33:42Speaker 6: that there was something, you know, God didn't drop me
- 33:45Speaker 6: out of this guy, that he placed me here for
- 33:47Speaker 6: a reason, you know. And when I realized that I
- 33:50Speaker 6: was worthy, then I I came out of that. So
- 33:56Speaker 6: I I broke that cycle of silence and began to
- 33:59Speaker 6: talk about it. So and g and gathered lights. These
- 34:04Speaker 6: are poems that we talk about.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Survival, our vulnerability, and how we allowed our vulnerability to
- 34:15Speaker 2: form strength, to help us grow, help us to gain courage.
- 34:23Speaker 6: These poems move from a amber dawn today, tracing the
- 34:28Speaker 6: slow works of relearning trust, the body's quiet thought, the
- 34:34Speaker 6: making of a room in a house, the return of
- 34:38Speaker 6: and our appetites, songs and choices. So it was like
- 34:44Speaker 6: the flickering of a light, that that fire that we
- 34:50Speaker 6: have inside of us coming back, not letting it go out,
- 34:55Speaker 6: not letting that flame go out, but that flicker reagniting
- 35:00Speaker 6: so that we can be that light again. So we
- 35:03Speaker 6: share poems about the light, how how we got through,
- 35:08Speaker 6: how we got through vulnerability and things of that nature.
- 35:12Speaker 6: And Rise Unbroken is the last book in this series.
- 35:17Speaker 6: So Rise I'm Broken is a triumph accumulation of the
- 35:21Speaker 6: echoes of becoming. It is a book of arrival, endowment
- 35:28Speaker 6: and forward looking hope, moving through memories, lineage and possibility.
- 35:36Speaker 6: These poems transform wounds into wayfounding, blessed, the thresholds leaving
- 35:44Speaker 6: and returning, rebuilding, and making a vow to live not
- 35:49Speaker 6: merely beyond what has happened, but toward what is possible.
- 35:54Speaker 2: Joy Rise and we got to share of how we were.
- 36:02Speaker 6: Still yet determined, how we didn't give up, how we
- 36:07Speaker 6: may have been shaken, how we may have been bruised,
- 36:11Speaker 6: but we rose, We we rose Unbroken. So that that
- 36:19Speaker 6: is a little bit about the series. So it gives
- 36:22Speaker 6: you different phases of our life and how we were
- 36:28Speaker 6: able to deal with these things, and we share it
- 36:32Speaker 6: through our our words. So that's a that's the the series.
- 36:39Speaker 6: Do anybody want to share a poem out of the book.
- 36:46Speaker 5: M I am not at home, and I don't have
- 36:57Speaker 5: my book with me, or I would have you know,
- 37:00Speaker 5: with any other.
- 37:02Speaker 2: Lady, Sonnette, do you have one? I'm looking out on
- 37:10Speaker 2: I pull I'm pulling up my my email. Now, well,
- 37:15Speaker 2: I I have the books, so I'm back when I'll
- 37:19Speaker 2: read one, okay, from each one of us, and and
- 37:27Speaker 2: I'm gonna read it out of our last book. So
- 37:35Speaker 2: Michelin wrote, she wrote three poems, four poems. One was
- 37:45Speaker 2: titled no.
- 37:46Speaker 6: She did three poems. One was title Jesus had Me.
- 37:50Speaker 6: I went to the Potter's house and roots and wings
- 37:56Speaker 6: to fly away? Which one would you like for me
- 37:58Speaker 6: to read?
- 38:01Speaker 9: You can read Jesus had Me?
- 38:05Speaker 2: Okay.
- 38:07Speaker 6: So this poem is by doctor Micheline Moss. It says
- 38:11Speaker 6: I was anointed, but I hid my light. It was
- 38:16Speaker 6: always shining, but I was shining too bright.
- 38:21Speaker 2: The anointing not only shone in the day, but also
- 38:25Speaker 2: shone brightley at night.
- 38:28Speaker 6: I hid because I didn't feel like I was worthy.
- 38:31Speaker 6: I didn't really think my father God had chosen me.
- 38:35Speaker 6: I didn't want to brag or boast. I tried to
- 38:39Speaker 6: be humble. But the bright light has never made me stumble.
- 38:44Speaker 6: My father said, where are you? Like he did with
- 38:48Speaker 6: Adam and Eve.
- 38:50Speaker 2: I was hiding in the garden under the apple tree.
- 38:54Speaker 2: Calm my daughter, and let's go over this list of
- 38:59Speaker 2: my and my talents and gifts. This would make me
- 39:04Speaker 2: go down memory lane, and I didn't want to reminisce.
- 39:09Speaker 2: My father asked me, do I have faith over fear?
- 39:14Speaker 2: He always Oh.
- 39:15Speaker 6: He also reminded me that he has always been near.
- 39:22Speaker 6: So take the blinders off and step into the light.
- 39:26Speaker 6: Release the fear, negativity, and everything.
- 39:30Speaker 2: Will be all right.
- 39:33Speaker 6: You see, Jesus always had me with the holy Spirit
- 39:38Speaker 6: of biding inside me. With Jesus as my savor, I
- 39:42Speaker 6: never needed to hide. So go, my child, and fulfill
- 39:46Speaker 6: your purpose and my plan, and never forget that I
- 39:51Speaker 6: am the.
- 39:52Speaker 2: Mighty I am, and that's that peace. So Scheanette.
- 40:09Speaker 6: Schanette did let me see, Let me find Channette. Okay,
- 40:14Speaker 6: Chanette had the body, remembers the lights, what prayer built me, and.
- 40:32Speaker 2: The grace that grew from ashes. You can do the
- 40:38Speaker 2: grace that grew from ashes. I knew she was gonna
- 40:44Speaker 2: pick that on that one coming a long time. Remember, Okay,
- 40:48Speaker 2: this is.
- 40:53Speaker 6: The grace that grew from ashes. Once I stood in
- 40:58Speaker 6: the quiet aftermath of losing a mother of four twice
- 41:04Speaker 6: the voice reading the sun who carried my heart beat
- 41:07Speaker 6: beyond this world. There were days when love felt distant,
- 41:13Speaker 6: when even my reflection looked like a stranger. But somewhere
- 41:17Speaker 6: between the tears and prayers, faith found me again. I
- 41:22Speaker 6: did not come as thunder or miracle, but a whisper, steady, certain,
- 41:30Speaker 6: reminding me that.
- 41:31Speaker 2: Broken things can still bloom.
- 41:35Speaker 6: Prayer became my anchor, each word a seed of strength,
- 41:39Speaker 6: planet deep in the soul of sorrow, and from the
- 41:42Speaker 6: soul I rose. Now I stand in the sunlight of
- 41:48Speaker 6: a new beginning, a grandmother of four radiant boys who
- 41:52Speaker 6: laughter reveals the parts of me grief once hollowed out,
- 41:58Speaker 6: A wife again with seven more grown hearts to cherish,
- 42:02Speaker 6: and five grandchildren whose joy it's the echo of answer prayers.
- 42:08Speaker 6: My life hmm with quiet victory and songs woven from
- 42:14Speaker 6: wisdom and grace. Resilience for me is not an armor.
- 42:19Speaker 6: It is love, soft and fierce, the kind that holds
- 42:24Speaker 6: the world gentle leaf, even after it has broken you.
- 42:29Speaker 6: I am SUNet Johnson, a woman of faith, a keeper
- 42:33Speaker 6: of lineage, a vessel of possibility. My story is not
- 42:38Speaker 6: one of endings, but of becoming a testament that through prayer,
- 42:44Speaker 6: through love, through steady rhythm of hope, we are all
- 42:49Speaker 6: capable of rising into the light again.
- 42:52Speaker 2: And that's that piece so for me. So Cheryl is
- 43:06Speaker 2: watching because for some reason she can't get back in.
- 43:10Speaker 2: So I'm gonna read one of her poems. Cheron, you
- 43:13Speaker 2: gonna have to type fast. You got Victory in Christ?
- 43:18Speaker 2: You have? I think that's the only one you have. Yep,
- 43:22Speaker 2: that's the only one you have. So I'm gonna read
- 43:25Speaker 2: the only one you have. So Cheryl's poem is called
- 43:31Speaker 2: Victory in Christ, and it says I walked through the fire,
- 43:35Speaker 2: the sickness, the test of loopis then cancer, then heart,
- 43:39Speaker 2: heart distress.
- 43:41Speaker 6: The way of trials ran heavy and deep. Each journal
- 43:45Speaker 6: I wrote was my soul's vow to keep. My body
- 43:48Speaker 6: grew weary, yet still I pressed on, believing the knight
- 43:53Speaker 6: would give birth.
- 43:54Speaker 7: To the dawn.
- 43:55Speaker 2: With tears as my witness, with prayers as my song,
- 44:00Speaker 2: I trusted God's hand to uphold me strong. Still I
- 44:06Speaker 2: kept serving His kingdom.
- 44:08Speaker 6: My aim got into young while enduring the pain those
- 44:13Speaker 6: shadows surround me. They could not confine me. For God's
- 44:18Speaker 6: holy favor forever was mine's. The valleys were bitter, the
- 44:24Speaker 6: storm often near, but his whisper comfort erased every fear.
- 44:30Speaker 6: Though silence with linger and hope seemed delayed, his promise
- 44:36Speaker 6: sustained me. His mercy displayed, emerging much stronger with spirit.
- 44:43Speaker 6: My spirit was raised. Each step that I took gave
- 44:48Speaker 6: my savor the praise. The fire refined me. The trials
- 44:53Speaker 6: did mold me. Transforming my weakness to courage made me bold.
- 44:58Speaker 6: The knight could not hold me. His love made me free.
- 45:03Speaker 2: And that's that east.
- 45:09Speaker 3: So me.
- 45:13Speaker 2: I have.
- 45:15Speaker 6: Consolations of becoming the weight we carry, the grace we
- 45:20Speaker 6: share arrival, and I think I Am going to.
- 45:29Speaker 2: Do the shortest one.
- 45:32Speaker 6: The way we carry the grace we share. We are
- 45:37Speaker 6: greater than wounds. We hold greater still because we do
- 45:41Speaker 6: not hold them alone. A thousand hands meet my own,
- 45:46Speaker 6: sometime only to steady, sometimes gently, to bear the weight
- 45:51Speaker 6: of a mile. When my needs forgot the language of rising,
- 45:55Speaker 6: I have come to understand resilience is not my armor,
- 46:00Speaker 6: but the way I opened my palms together both the
- 46:04Speaker 6: sunlight and the rain and the hush between trials, friendships
- 46:10Speaker 6: grow strong.
- 46:11Speaker 2: As chef chafterling oaks. Let us an honor the sacred
- 46:17Speaker 2: task of rebuilding stone by stone, song by song, for
- 46:23Speaker 2: they're in the circle of those who stayed.
- 46:27Speaker 6: I discovered I was always worthy of love, strong enough
- 46:33Speaker 6: to heal.
- 46:35Speaker 2: And that's that piece. And these came out of our
- 46:44Speaker 2: final book, which was Rise Unbroken.
- 46:48Speaker 6: Each one of these poems really showed how we refused
- 46:52Speaker 6: to give up and and how we pressed through, and
- 46:55Speaker 6: how we truly leaned on the Savior. You know, all
- 47:00Speaker 6: these gifts and talents that we have, we wouldn't we
- 47:03Speaker 6: wouldn't have 'em if it was not for him, you know.
- 47:06Speaker 6: And I oftentimes hear Trevida say, you know, she don't
- 47:11Speaker 6: like people to say. She don't like to hear people
- 47:13Speaker 6: say that he would never put more on you than
- 47:16Speaker 6: you can bear, and and and the more and more
- 47:19Speaker 6: she say that, the more and more I truly have
- 47:21Speaker 6: realized that, you know, he already know what we gonna bear,
- 47:24Speaker 6: you know, and to think that he already equipped us.
- 47:27Speaker 2: He gave us every gift that we have because he
- 47:30Speaker 2: knew what we was gonna go through. He knew everything
- 47:32Speaker 2: that we were gonna need. You know, there's nothing new
- 47:35Speaker 2: that's happening under the sun. And if if he said
- 47:38Speaker 2: it was completed in those seven days and everything was done,
- 47:43Speaker 2: and and and yet we still.
- 47:44Speaker 6: See generations after generations after generations. So that means all
- 47:48Speaker 6: we got to do is line up with it, because
- 47:50Speaker 6: it's already here. Some of us don't even understand the
- 47:53Speaker 6: power that we possessed and the things that we carry
- 47:55Speaker 6: on the inside of us. All we got to do
- 47:58Speaker 6: is position ourselves. But because he's given us the power
- 48:01Speaker 6: to overcome everything, and I'm breaking down that word power,
- 48:05Speaker 6: Why did he why did he give us those those
- 48:07Speaker 6: those gifts, in those talents because he knew that one
- 48:10Speaker 6: day we were gonna be willing vessels to be used
- 48:13Speaker 6: by him. And it was to educate in power and
- 48:16Speaker 6: encourage people. I call it the E three experience. He
- 48:20Speaker 6: knew that he was gonna need to have people in place,
- 48:23Speaker 6: and he knew what you could bear. He knew that
- 48:25Speaker 6: you can get through this.
- 48:27Speaker 2: He knew that.
- 48:27Speaker 6: Cheryl could could fight capcer and and fight it the
- 48:31Speaker 6: way that she fought it, because that lady was on
- 48:33Speaker 6: five am prayer call every single day when she was
- 48:36Speaker 6: going to that whatever. Some day she was in there
- 48:38Speaker 6: on the toilet, throwing up and doing all kinds of
- 48:40Speaker 6: other stuff. But she was right there on that prayer line.
- 48:43Speaker 6: God knew that she was gonna have that strength everything
- 48:47Speaker 6: that all of us go through. That's why I say,
- 48:50Speaker 6: I don't care what it looked like in the natural.
- 48:52Speaker 6: You got to look beyond the natural. You got the
- 48:54Speaker 6: truly believe the word. You got to believe that he
- 48:57Speaker 6: is who he say he is, and he gonna do
- 48:58Speaker 6: what he said he was gonna do, no matter what
- 49:00Speaker 6: it looked like. That's why I can write about it
- 49:03Speaker 6: because I believe it, and ain't nothing. Ain't nothing that
- 49:07Speaker 6: we are facing on this earth right now that those
- 49:11Speaker 6: that have come before us, even those that are in
- 49:14Speaker 6: the Bible days.
- 49:16Speaker 2: You know, we got the Bible to be an example.
- 49:19Speaker 2: They got through it. They got through it because if
- 49:22Speaker 2: they had not got through it, guess what, y'all, we
- 49:25Speaker 2: wouldn't be here.
- 49:27Speaker 6: So guess what we're gonna get through it because there's
- 49:31Speaker 6: generations to come after us.
- 49:34Speaker 2: H It don't start with us, It don't stop with us.
- 49:40Speaker 2: So if we won't change to come, we may not
- 49:44Speaker 2: see it. We may not see it. Happen.
- 49:48Speaker 6: But everything that our grandparents, our great grandparents and those
- 49:53Speaker 6: before them prayed about, guess what a lot of them
- 49:56Speaker 6: didn't get to see it happen. But guess what, they're
- 49:59Speaker 6: getting to see it through us because there have been
- 50:01Speaker 6: prayers that it went to the grave, and some of
- 50:04Speaker 6: them went to the grade believing that things were gonna
- 50:07Speaker 6: happen for they kids and their grandkids.
- 50:10Speaker 2: And now we're able to walk into it.
- 50:13Speaker 6: We're able to walk into it because I remember going
- 50:15Speaker 6: to my great grandfather's house and sitting at his feet.
- 50:18Speaker 6: He was a preacher, and I used to I used
- 50:20Speaker 6: to be like, Oh, why we gotta go here? I
- 50:22Speaker 6: KNOWNE went to church, And that's what I used to say.
- 50:25Speaker 2: We went to church this morning, and we still have
- 50:27Speaker 2: to go cause every time we went, no matter when
- 50:29Speaker 2: we went, we was gonna pray. We we was gonna
- 50:32Speaker 2: hear a Simon.
- 50:33Speaker 6: His talk was a sermon. But guess what if I
- 50:37Speaker 6: had not sit up under that, Guess what, I wouldn't
- 50:40Speaker 6: be able to run that prayer line. I wouldn't able.
- 50:42Speaker 6: I wouldn't be able to to do the devotions. I
- 50:45Speaker 6: wouldn't be able to do the things that that I do,
- 50:48Speaker 6: I wouldn't be able to pray for my family. Hum
- 50:54Speaker 6: when God know what we gonna go through. And I
- 50:56Speaker 6: was bad, y'all, I was a bad child. Sometime I
- 50:59Speaker 6: got put out of school in kindergarten.
- 51:01Speaker 2: I was bad. But guess what.
- 51:04Speaker 6: He would use anybody. He would use anybody if you're
- 51:08Speaker 6: willing and understand that your resilience is a testimony so
- 51:16Speaker 6: that somebody else can get through. Because these tests are
- 51:21Speaker 6: only for moments. Your moment may be five days, it
- 51:25Speaker 6: may be five years, it may be ten years.
- 51:29Speaker 2: But guess what.
- 51:32Speaker 6: Guess what, it only for a moment that you may testify,
- 51:35Speaker 6: that you may be able to share his goodness, that
- 51:37Speaker 6: you may be able to share his glory, because he
- 51:39Speaker 6: said that we overcome by.
- 51:41Speaker 2: The year and the share of our testimonies. So guess what.
- 51:45Speaker 2: It didn't happen for nothing. It all happened for a reason. Say,
- 51:50Speaker 2: don't get weary well doing it, because in due time
- 51:54Speaker 2: come you shall reap.
- 51:56Speaker 3: That's what.
- 51:58Speaker 2: And I'm gonna stop because I'm gonna get the picture.
- 52:00Speaker 2: Ain't no picture.
- 52:06Speaker 4: God is good.
- 52:07Speaker 2: I won't sit down on them.
- 52:08Speaker 9: And I try to tell.
- 52:10Speaker 2: You, ain't got to be no minister, You ain't got
- 52:12Speaker 2: to be no pastor, You ain't got to be no evangelist.
- 52:15Speaker 2: You ain't got to walk in all them titles. Mm hmmm,
- 52:18Speaker 2: because some titles ain't nothing.
- 52:21Speaker 9: Mm hmm.
- 52:23Speaker 2: You just got to be willing to be used. And
- 52:24Speaker 2: he'll use He'll use you by writing books here, He'll
- 52:29Speaker 2: use you by hosting podcasts. He'll use you by by
- 52:34Speaker 2: being able to go out and speak and and and
- 52:36Speaker 2: be able to hold workshops and be able to go
- 52:38Speaker 2: out and serve your community. Never thought I would be
- 52:42Speaker 2: an advocate or any other stuff that I do. Definitely
- 52:46Speaker 2: never thought I would be on the podcasts. Who I'm
- 52:50Speaker 2: talking about bad? I stutter so bad. I used to
- 52:53Speaker 2: stutter so bad. I never thought I would be on
- 52:55Speaker 2: a podcasts hosted on podcasts. And I know y'all probably
- 52:58Speaker 2: catch it sometime, but I had to. It's bad tick.
- 53:00Speaker 2: I used to all the time. And it's because I
- 53:05Speaker 2: had an attitude problem. Had an attitude with my teacher
- 53:08Speaker 2: because they said I talked too fast and I read
- 53:10Speaker 2: too fast, so she would make she would make me pause.
- 53:13Speaker 2: I would have to actually stop, and I used to
- 53:16Speaker 2: have to say one one thousand two, one thousand three
- 53:18Speaker 2: one thousand and then I could go on and and
- 53:20Speaker 2: keep on reading. And I used to get mad when
- 53:22Speaker 2: she make me do that, and I used to smack
- 53:25Speaker 2: my lips and it became a tick y'all. But enough
- 53:29Speaker 2: about me, and I don't know where all that comes from.
- 53:32Speaker 2: But hey, somebody needed to hear Hi.
- 53:38Speaker 9: That's right.
- 53:42Speaker 2: They keep messing with, they keep messing with Patrece. But
- 53:45Speaker 2: Sheron was back. Welcome back, Sheryon.
- 53:48Speaker 4: Yes, can y'all hear me?
- 53:50Speaker 9: Hey, we hear yeah, but it's.
- 53:52Speaker 2: Okay, I got this usual outside voice. Okay, Well, I
- 53:59Speaker 2: just wonder when she does come back on. But if
- 54:04Speaker 2: we're gonna start with you, and if you would please
- 54:08Speaker 2: tell everybody how they can follow you, how they can
- 54:12Speaker 2: connect with you, and if you got something.
- 54:16Speaker 4: Going on, share that too, okay, then good even again,
- 54:20Speaker 4: it's good to be back. Thank you ladies for around
- 54:23Speaker 4: me to come back up her little technology problem. But
- 54:27Speaker 4: how you can find me on Amazon as a Cheryl
- 54:31Speaker 4: la Grand, Facebook, Cheryl Northern La Grand, tiktop Northern La Grand.
- 54:37Speaker 4: I have an author page CHERYLA Grand also right now.
- 54:41Speaker 4: Of course you know I'm a call offer with missus
- 54:43Speaker 4: Angela Thompson and the series that she got coming now.
- 54:47Speaker 4: I also just finished a prayer book with Miss Angela,
- 54:51Speaker 4: Thepodsole and the other ladies on the prayer group. So,
- 54:57Speaker 4: like I said, tuly A blessing, being a talk and
- 55:01Speaker 4: all the other lady's up here and the ones just
- 55:04Speaker 4: not and doing poetry was.
- 55:08Speaker 2: A challenge for me.
- 55:09Speaker 4: You know what, I did something for me. I started
- 55:13Speaker 4: on the prayer ne Actually I was even on the
- 55:15Speaker 4: prayer line. I was going through chemo cancer and lucas
- 55:18Speaker 4: at the same time and also heart So all the
- 55:23Speaker 4: things I've been doing has motivated me, inspired me, and
- 55:26Speaker 4: God used it to strengthen me, to transform me and
- 55:29Speaker 4: to the person that He wanted me to be, and.
- 55:31Speaker 2: Just believing trust to him.
- 55:33Speaker 4: So my advice to anybody, whatever you going through, just
- 55:36Speaker 4: keep pushing, keep trusting because it's not going to be always.
- 55:40Speaker 4: And guess what if we ladies and God blessed us
- 55:43Speaker 4: through it, He'll bless you too. It's part transformation, restore.
- 55:47Speaker 4: If you change your mindset, change your conversation, you could
- 55:51Speaker 4: do all things. Because I didn't know anything about poetry,
- 55:54Speaker 4: I thought it had to rhyme. I thought everything had
- 55:57Speaker 4: to be in place, So I just started to speak
- 56:00Speaker 4: them from my heart. So I have I hope I
- 56:02Speaker 4: said something to encourage someone to see me.
- 56:06Speaker 2: So how do people follow you?

- 57:27Speaker 5: birthdays in July, so I'm gonna have it around that time.
- 57:32Speaker 9: And also I hope that I.
- 57:35Speaker 5: Can encourage someone just just be you, you know, as
- 57:39Speaker 5: the book says, shattered the silence, and you know, definitely,
- 57:45Speaker 5: you know, gather light and rise I'm broken.
- 57:48Speaker 9: We all need to do that. We actually do do it,
- 57:50Speaker 9: just sometimes you don't even know that you are doing it.

- 59:19Speaker 8: having such a hard time dealing with my son transitioning,
- 59:26Speaker 8: even though it's going on three years. Grief does not
- 59:29Speaker 8: have no time limit. And for the parents that's.
- 59:35Speaker 2: Dealing with grief. I followed his mother name.
- 59:42Speaker 8: I believe her handle is Poop and she said to
- 59:46Speaker 8: grieve out loud. And that's exactly what I say. Grieve
- 59:51Speaker 8: out loud. Don't let nobody tell you when and how
- 59:57Speaker 8: to get over the loss of your child, because they
- 1:00:00Speaker 8: don't know what you're dealing with. You know, continuously, you know, right,
- 1:00:09Speaker 8: start a journal, right, write or down.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: Get you a jar.
- 1:00:13Speaker 8: I got me these little drawers right here, and I'm
- 1:00:18Speaker 8: gonna start filling them up with memories. And when I
- 1:00:21Speaker 8: get sad or and I'm thinking about my son, I'm
- 1:00:25Speaker 8: gonna come in my little in my drawer and I'm
- 1:00:27Speaker 8: going to pull a memory out and I'm gonna read

- 1:00:57Speaker 8: hours later and y'all start back talking like I've been
- 1:01:00Speaker 8: on the phone talking for two.
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: Hours, you know.
- 1:01:05Speaker 8: And don't put yourself, create yourself from your loved ones.
- 1:01:11Speaker 8: Let them love on you. And like I said, look,
- 1:01:17Speaker 8: if you if you need to talk, hey, you have
- 1:01:22Speaker 8: my platform. You can come on and talk. Whether we
- 1:01:25Speaker 8: can talk about grief, we can talk about broth or
- 1:01:28Speaker 8: convict you, whatever you want to talk about, Let's talk
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: about it.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: And I love you guys, And that's it. So you
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: can I can't. I'm not even gonna tell you all
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: of the platforms that I'm on. Just go to link

- 1:02:47Speaker 6: I'm involved in. Definitely you can connect with the podcast
- 1:02:50Speaker 6: from there, but most importantly being able to check out
- 1:02:56Speaker 6: some of the books, cause I tell you, I got

- 1:03:01Speaker 6: I got some poetry books. I got some journals. I
- 1:03:05Speaker 6: got devotionals. I I you name it this over there.
- 1:03:09Speaker 6: I even know that was in some some what you
- 1:03:13Speaker 6: call it urban lint. Yeah, I got two urban lit
- 1:03:16Speaker 6: books over there.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: So I I I just like to write. I just
