Transcript
- 0:00Whenever I talk about the simulation, and especially when
- 0:03I talk about my own impending death, many of my Christian
- 0:11friends and Christian followers say to me, Scott, you still have
- 0:15time, you should convert to Christianity.
- 0:19And I usually just let that sit because that's not an argument I
- 0:24want to have. I've not been a believer and but
- 0:30I also have respect for any Christian who goes out of the
- 0:34way to try to convert me because how would I believe you believe
- 0:38your own religion if you're not trying to convert me?
- 0:43So I have great respect for people who care enough that they
- 0:48want me to convert and then go out of the way to try to
- 0:52convince me. So you're going to hear for the
- 0:55first time today that it is my plan to convert.
- 1:01So I still have time, but my understanding is you're never
- 1:05too late. And on top of that, any
- 1:10skepticism I have about reality would certainly be instantly
- 1:15answered if I wake up in heaven. I do believe that the dominant
- 1:20Christian theory is that I would wake up in heaven if I have a
- 1:25good life. Yeah.
- 1:26I don't necessarily have to, you know, just state something in
- 1:30advance. And so to my Christian friends,
- 1:34yes, it's coming. So you don't need to talk me
- 1:39into it. I am now convinced that the risk
- 1:43reward is completely smart. If it turns out that there's
- 1:48nothing there, I've lost nothing.
- 1:51But I've respected your wishes, and I like doing that.
- 1:55If it turns out there is something there, and the
- 1:58Christian model is the closest to it, I win.
- 2:03So with your permission, I promise you that I will.
- 2:09I will convert.
