- 0:02Speaker 1: This is am I the problem. It's me, hill On
- 0:08Speaker 1: the problem. It's me.
- 0:10Speaker 2: We'll hear one side of the story and with your
- 0:12Speaker 2: help probably decide if it's right or if maybe you're
- 0:17Speaker 2: the problem. That's right, I am the problem on Big
- 0:21Speaker 2: ninety eight point seven.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Hello, my name is Ella.
- 0:25Speaker 4: We're gonna jump right into it, and my mom actually
- 0:28Speaker 4: told me I should email you guys. For the record,
- 0:31Speaker 4: my mom does not agree with me, and I think
- 0:34Speaker 4: she thinks you guys will support her.
- 0:36Speaker 3: We'll see, I.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Guess all right, going out on a limb.
- 0:39Speaker 4: I decided to end a friendship with one of my
- 0:42Speaker 4: college friends because she always posts picks of us that
- 0:46Speaker 4: I hate. Whenever we take pictures, I always ask her
- 0:49Speaker 4: to send them to me first so I can pick
- 0:51Speaker 4: which one I approve, and she literally just posts the
- 0:54Speaker 4: ones she looks great in and I look like a hobbit.
- 0:59Speaker 4: I could understand if I just wasn't photogenic, but I
- 1:05Speaker 4: do look good in picks. She just always manages to
- 1:08Speaker 4: post the ones I look terrible in. I am aware,
- 1:11Speaker 4: as my mom pointed out that this seems like a
- 1:14Speaker 4: shallow reason to end a friendship, But doesn't it seem
- 1:17Speaker 4: like she's being malicious or am I too vain?
- 1:21Speaker 3: Ella?
- 1:22Speaker 4: I'm gonna tell you right now that I do not
- 1:24Speaker 4: agree with your mom. I think that you are absolutely
- 1:29Speaker 4: correct in ending this friendship.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Now. Is it shallow and vain? Maybe?
- 1:35Speaker 4: However, I think it is a sign of a deeper
- 1:38Speaker 4: thing with this friend, because if you have expressed to
- 1:41Speaker 4: your friend like, hey, I really want to approve the
- 1:44Speaker 4: pick because if I don't like the picture of myself,
- 1:46Speaker 4: I don't want it posted. And she keeps doing it.
- 1:49Speaker 4: That feels very intentional and like she's a hater. And
- 1:53Speaker 4: I don't think that you need a hater in your life,
- 1:55Speaker 4: So good to cut her out before it gets even worse.
- 2:00Speaker 4: What are your thoughts? Seven oh one two, eight oh
- 2:02Speaker 4: one nine eight seven and one?
- 2:04Speaker 3: Is your thought? Gabe?
- 2:05Speaker 4: Because you were rolling your eyes so hard at me
- 2:08Speaker 4: while I was on team Ella.
- 2:10Speaker 5: This is one of the few times in my life
- 2:12Speaker 5: I've thought, you know, I'm thirty five years old. This
- 2:14Speaker 5: sounds like the most twenty something year old problem I've
- 2:17Speaker 5: ever heard in my life. Well, I think it is
- 2:20Speaker 5: old for this, Angie. This is ridiculous. There is part
- 2:25Speaker 5: of me, though, that I understand why you would feel
- 2:27Speaker 5: this way. Because if you don't know this about our Angie,
- 2:31Speaker 5: and if there are pictures that we need to take
- 2:33Speaker 5: for Big ninety eight point seven, Angie has a side.
- 2:37Speaker 3: I do have this.
- 2:38Speaker 5: It's an angle. Yep, we got to take a hundred
- 2:41Speaker 5: of them. She's got to see all one hundred to
- 2:43Speaker 5: pick the one. No, to your credit, you are very
- 2:46Speaker 5: good about keeping it short. You don't yeah, I don't
- 2:48Speaker 5: want yeah, way too short for that.
- 2:52Speaker 3: You're not one of my girlfriends. I don't make it
- 2:54Speaker 3: me one hundred.
- 2:54Speaker 1: But that's right.
- 2:55Speaker 5: But I understand why Angie thinks this way. Yeah, yeah,
- 3:00Speaker 5: because this email could be from you.
- 3:03Speaker 4: I mean, I'm really the one who was filtering through
- 3:07Speaker 4: all of the emails, and this one did speak to me.
- 3:10Speaker 5: I mean, I don't know if the pictures are really
- 3:13Speaker 5: that bad. She has a point, But are they actually
- 3:16Speaker 5: not that bad and you just think they're bad? No
- 3:19Speaker 5: one really knows. No one really looks like that. No
- 3:21Speaker 5: one really goes through your photos going oh, this one's horrible,
- 3:24Speaker 5: This one's horrible, this one's horrible. No one does that,
- 3:27Speaker 5: do they?
- 3:27Speaker 3: I do that to other people's photos?
- 3:29Speaker 1: Insane seven?
- 3:31Speaker 5: I think rooting a friendship over Instagram pictures is kind
- 3:35Speaker 5: of crazy, but it really just sounds like you weren't
- 3:36Speaker 5: really that great of friends anyway. Uh seven oh one
- 3:39Speaker 5: two eight zero one nine eight seven, let us know
- 3:42Speaker 5: what you think, text us, call us.
- 3:43Speaker 1: This is up on Facebook.
- 3:45Speaker 5: I just can't Could you imagine if my like my buddy,
- 3:48Speaker 5: one of my best friends on planet Earth, Nick or Jake,
- 3:51Speaker 5: if they came up to me one day and you've
- 3:53Speaker 5: met Jake. Yeah, could you imagine Jake coming up to
- 3:56Speaker 5: me one day and being like, hey man, you know
- 3:59Speaker 5: those pictures the four we post a year on Facebook.
- 4:04Speaker 5: I look like garbage in three out of those four,
- 4:06Speaker 5: and I can't be your friend anymore.
- 4:08Speaker 3: That would never ridiculous.
- 4:10Speaker 4: That would never happen with Jake because he always listens.
- 4:13Speaker 3: That's right.
- 4:20Speaker 5: Kayla from wes Fargo says, not I'm with you. If
- 4:24Speaker 5: you've told her it bothers you and she keeps doing it,
- 4:26Speaker 5: that's not a real friend exactly.
- 4:30Speaker 4: So Ella has a friend who is no longer her friend.
- 4:33Speaker 4: She ended the friendship because every time the friend posts
- 4:36Speaker 4: pictures of them together, she always uses the one where
- 4:39Speaker 4: Ella looks bad, and.
- 4:41Speaker 3: She's already told her before.
- 4:43Speaker 4: Can you send me the pictures beforehand, so I can
- 4:46Speaker 4: approve whether I like it or not.
- 4:47Speaker 1: I will say I don't like that. That's kind of weird.
- 4:50Speaker 5: My girlfriends and I do that, I know, but like,
- 4:53Speaker 5: can you send me every single photo we've ever taken
- 4:57Speaker 5: before I post it on my Facebook? Like, that's a
- 4:59Speaker 5: lit litle bit extreme. I think my Instagram, Well, what
- 5:03Speaker 5: I do.
- 5:03Speaker 4: What I do is if it was like a group
- 5:05Speaker 4: picture that we all to I send all the pictures
- 5:08Speaker 4: and then I say, pick which ones that you approve
- 5:12Speaker 4: that you like out of these, and then I'll choose
- 5:14Speaker 4: one to post.
- 5:15Speaker 3: It's not that hard. I'm saying you can do it.
- 5:18Speaker 4: I obviously team Ella, but I do think this is
- 5:21Speaker 4: a good take. Britney messaged us on Facebook. I don't
- 5:27Speaker 4: think it's worth ending a friendship over stop taking pictures
- 5:30Speaker 4: with her. Also, we are our own worst critics. She
- 5:34Speaker 4: probably thinks you look beautiful.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 5:37Speaker 5: You probably don't look bad because when you look at
- 5:39Speaker 5: a picture of you, you point out all the flaws.
- 5:42Speaker 1: It's just natural. It's just natural. That's what we do.
- 5:45Speaker 3: It's true, we are our own worst critic.
- 5:47Speaker 5: She probably looks great or fine or whatever in tons
- 5:50Speaker 5: of the photos and now she's thinking, oh, she only
- 5:53Speaker 5: posts it one I look bad in.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:55Speaker 4: I just think though, if that's your friend, I mean,
- 5:58Speaker 4: we're all flawed intos. Give your friends some grace and
- 6:03Speaker 4: don't post the pictures she hates.
- 6:05Speaker 5: Jenna said, I kind of like this. I guess you
- 6:08Speaker 5: didn't end it over pictures. This is Jenna from South Fargo.
- 6:12Speaker 5: You didn't end it over pictures. You ended it over
- 6:15Speaker 5: her ignoring your boundaries.
- 6:17Speaker 1: There's a bit different.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Hard.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Yeah, that's kind of fair for sure.
- 6:21Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm team Ella on this one, and I think
- 6:25Speaker 4: it's not shallow.
- 6:26Speaker 3: But that's also because I'm shallow.
- 6:29Speaker 1: With this one.
- 6:30Speaker 5: Any if you're a guy and you're riding in your
- 6:33Speaker 5: car right now or you're at work, this, I feel
- 6:35Speaker 5: like is a very much more kind of a lady's thing.
- 6:38Speaker 5: I don't necessarily know if dudes see a picture of
- 6:41Speaker 5: themselves on Facebook and immediately text their buddy like.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Hey, what the heck, bro, I look like trash? Could
- 6:47Speaker 1: you imagine?
- 6:48Speaker 5: I mean, that would be pretty funny, to be honest,
- 6:49Speaker 5: because dudes, I think, are totally fine with posting goofy
- 6:52Speaker 5: aka stupid pictures on the Internet a lot more than
- 6:55Speaker 5: ladies are. Not that ladies don't do that, but I
- 6:58Speaker 5: just think dudes are more likely to.
- 6:59Speaker 4: I think in situations where I can't control who's posting
- 7:03Speaker 4: the pictures, my only request is don't tag me, tag
- 7:09Speaker 4: me if I look bad.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I do. Kind of like what Lindsay said.
- 7:11Speaker 5: This is kind of in the middle ground of this here,
- 7:14Speaker 5: she said Lindsay from West Fargo. She said she might
- 7:17Speaker 5: not mean anything by it, but your feelings are valid.
- 7:21Speaker 5: This is a communication problem more than anything. I think
- 7:25Speaker 5: that's probably more correct.
- 7:27Speaker 3: I like that, but I also like that.
- 7:29Speaker 4: Michelle said, I'm going to file this one under first
- 7:32Speaker 4: world problems.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Wow, you're both the problem.
- 7:35Speaker 4: Your friend is not being respectful and you're not communicating.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Celebrating life's little victories every morning we practice gratitude on
- 7:47Speaker 2: Big ninety eight point seven. If I could, I would
- 7:49Speaker 2: keep this feeling in a past job, bust it out
- 7:52Speaker 2: when it was someone's acting hard. Share your little victories
- 7:55Speaker 2: with us at seven oh one two eight oho one
- 7:58Speaker 2: ninety eight seven.
- 7:59Speaker 5: Kids.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I also needed to win that day, Angie. Do you
- 8:02Speaker 1: have a little victory for us today?
- 8:04Speaker 3: Yes? I do.
- 8:04Speaker 1: I'm I gotcha. You got it.
- 8:08Speaker 4: I got very choked up there because I'm so excited.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Okay.
- 8:12Speaker 4: One of the most important things to me in my
- 8:14Speaker 4: entire life is my eyebrows.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Yes, it is shallow and it is vain, but.
- 8:19Speaker 4: I've always this is I've always prided myself on having
- 8:24Speaker 4: really nice eyebrows. But for the last four years I've
- 8:28Speaker 4: been maintaining them myself because I hadn't found a threader
- 8:32Speaker 4: who I could trust to clean up these brows.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Okay, but that's all changed.
- 8:38Speaker 3: And I was walking through the mall with my friend
- 8:40Speaker 3: Corey over on Bob.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Ninety five, okay.
- 8:44Speaker 4: And she said that she, oh, let's uh, I need
- 8:48Speaker 4: an eyebrow wax, and so I walked into the place
- 8:50Speaker 4: with her. But I realized that they also offered the threading,
- 8:55Speaker 4: and so I co werced Corey into getting her eyebrows
- 8:59Speaker 4: threaded in stall that have waxed. And then as I
- 9:01Speaker 4: watched the process, I realized, I can trust this woman.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Her name is d I love her.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Oh, so you just threw Corey out for the bait? First?
- 9:09Speaker 5: Is that what I'm is out? I'm learning, Hey, why
- 9:10Speaker 5: you gotta put it like that, baiting your friend?
- 9:13Speaker 3: Okay, but her eyebrows. Aren't.
- 9:15Speaker 4: Think we're an easier fix. I've got way more eyebrow
- 9:18Speaker 4: going on. So her eyebrows looked great, and I thought,
- 9:21Speaker 4: you know what, I might as well take a chance.
- 9:24Speaker 4: And I sat in that chair and I tilted my
- 9:26Speaker 4: head back, and oh my gosh, I got the threading
- 9:30Speaker 4: of a lifetime. My eyebrows look so fire, They're so clean,
- 9:35Speaker 4: the shape is gorgeous. I'm a whole, brand new broad Gabe.
- 9:39Speaker 1: All right, the year of twenty twenty six, the year
- 9:42Speaker 1: of Angie Here.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I like it. I feel away.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Every time I look, like walk past the mirror, I
- 9:47Speaker 4: look and I'm like, oh my gosh, are you the
- 9:49Speaker 4: baddest bee thus far?
- 9:50Speaker 1: That's nice.
- 9:51Speaker 3: I'm not, but I like to feel that way.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Yeah, well that's sometimes more important.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Yeah, how you feel on me inside?
- 9:58Speaker 1: That's that's right. That's right.
- 10:00Speaker 3: What about you, Gabe? What's your little victory?
- 10:01Speaker 1: My little victory is kind of.
- 10:04Speaker 5: It starts out bad and it really helps nobody, but
- 10:07Speaker 5: it makes me feel better. Okay, Okay, it is my fault.
- 10:12Speaker 5: We are going to get all of the snow later
- 10:14Speaker 5: on today and tomorrow. Okay, I made the fatal mistake.
- 10:19Speaker 5: If you heard the trenders a handful of minutes ago.
- 10:22Speaker 5: There's a young man who has created his own company
- 10:26Speaker 5: where he helps do snow removal and lawn care and
- 10:29Speaker 5: what have you.
- 10:29Speaker 1: And what did he say in that clip, Angie?
- 10:31Speaker 5: He said, when you're in the snow remove a business,
- 10:33Speaker 5: you don't put the snow equipment away until late April
- 10:36Speaker 5: because you don't want to jinx it. Well, I went
- 10:39Speaker 5: ahead and jinxed it for everybody. This it's my fault.
- 10:42Speaker 5: It was it was either late last week or early
- 10:45Speaker 5: this week. I don't exactly remember, but I was playing
- 10:47Speaker 5: fetch with my dog and my wife was gonna come outside,
- 10:50Speaker 5: and I've said, you know, I'm gonna put two patio
- 10:52Speaker 5: chairs out in the backyard. You know it's sixty sixty
- 10:55Speaker 5: five degrees. Let's get these patio chairs out here. And
- 10:58Speaker 5: I put him out there, and then what happened handful
- 11:00Speaker 5: of days later? We are gonna get dumped on with
- 11:02Speaker 5: some snow that could be heavy at times. And you know,
- 11:06Speaker 5: that is not a little victory in a sense, but
- 11:08Speaker 5: I feel a lot better getting that off my chest.
- 11:10Speaker 5: So wow, So being honest today is a little victory
- 11:15Speaker 5: for me. I will take the blame for this snow
- 11:19Speaker 5: that will happen today and tomorrow.
- 11:20Speaker 1: And I feel a lot better.
- 11:21Speaker 5: That had been eating me up inside all week long,
- 11:23Speaker 5: and I feel so much better.
- 11:25Speaker 4: Text us, how upset you are with Gabe? Seven one
- 11:28Speaker 4: two seven.
- 11:37Speaker 5: My wife and I have an ultrasound appointment today for
- 11:41Speaker 5: baby G.
- 11:42Speaker 1: You do we have.
- 11:43Speaker 5: An ultrasound for Baby G today, as she has this
- 11:47Speaker 5: app and I'm sure plenty of moms and you know
- 11:50Speaker 5: Dad's I suppose to a to a point, are familiar
- 11:53Speaker 5: with this. But there's this app that kind of keeps
- 11:55Speaker 5: track of how big your baby is, how far along
- 11:58Speaker 5: you are in weeks, what it weighs, or what it
- 12:01Speaker 5: about weighs, and things like that. So baby G right
- 12:04Speaker 5: now is about thirteen point eight inches long, she weighs
- 12:08Speaker 5: about two pounds, and she's as long as a papaya
- 12:12Speaker 5: according to this app.
- 12:14Speaker 1: And I love it.
- 12:15Speaker 4: It's always in relation to fruity or like a vegetable
- 12:19Speaker 4: or something.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Yeah, and we get to go and see her.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Then.
- 12:23Speaker 1: The last time we saw her was when we found
- 12:25Speaker 1: out what she was.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Oh wow.
- 12:27Speaker 1: It's kind of the follow up to that.
- 12:29Speaker 5: And there was one I have these weird moments with
- 12:32Speaker 5: pregnant women, which sounds kind of wild to say, but yeah, keep.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Going so you can make it not sound right.
- 12:38Speaker 5: Yesterday at Unhinged Right, we're having a blast. Three weeks
- 12:41Speaker 5: in a row. We have passed out all ninety eight beers,
- 12:44Speaker 5: by the way, which is incredible, but we were getting
- 12:47Speaker 5: down to crunch time we had like six beers left,
- 12:50Speaker 5: you know, it was like it was like six forty
- 12:54Speaker 5: and we're like, oh my gosh, we get six more
- 12:56Speaker 5: beers to get rid of or whatever. And a bunch
- 12:58Speaker 5: of people walk in and I'm you know, hey, do
- 12:59Speaker 5: you want a free beer? And one of the ladies goes, oh,
- 13:02Speaker 5: I can't, I'm pregnant, but I'm sure they would all
- 13:04Speaker 5: want one.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Yeah, And it's weird. I have these weird moments. I'm like, oh, like,
- 13:08Speaker 1: our babies might be friends one day.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Oh that's right.
- 13:13Speaker 5: I've been to a few of events for big or
- 13:16Speaker 5: for the radio station or whatever, and I'll run into
- 13:18Speaker 5: women who happen to also be pregnant, like my wife,
- 13:21Speaker 5: and I'm like, oh, our kids might be on the
- 13:22Speaker 5: same soccer team.
- 13:24Speaker 1: That's really It's the sweetest thing ever.
- 13:26Speaker 4: But more sweet is that you actually take the time
- 13:30Speaker 4: to think about that sort of thing.
- 13:31Speaker 5: Well, it's like, oh, they might be in kindergarten class
- 13:35Speaker 5: together something like that. So whoever that lady was and
- 13:38Speaker 5: your group who showed up at unhings yesterday at like
- 13:40Speaker 5: six forty or what have you.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I think it's kind of.
- 13:44Speaker 5: Cool that Hey, maybe one day baby G and baby
- 13:47Speaker 5: random person.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Yeah, they might be friends one day.
- 13:50Speaker 3: I think this is so sweet.
- 13:51Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, wait, so this ultrasound I have questions. Do
- 13:55Speaker 4: you know if this one's going to be more like
- 13:57Speaker 4: a three D image or four D image or the.
- 14:00Speaker 1: One where we found out the gender.
- 14:01Speaker 5: There was a three D image there, and I think
- 14:04Speaker 5: this will kind of just sort of be another follow
- 14:07Speaker 5: up where they make sure everything they saw the first
- 14:10Speaker 5: time is still there the second time.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Yeah, the brain and the heart all that.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll be.
- 14:14Speaker 5: One hundred percent honest with you. I don't have a clue.
- 14:17Speaker 5: I kind of just show up and you know, here
- 14:19Speaker 5: on wife.
- 14:20Speaker 4: Okay, well, you have to give me the update as
- 14:23Speaker 4: soon as you can, and I want all the ultrasound pictures.
- 14:27Speaker 5: Yeah, we'll definitely have to get you some. But twenty
- 14:30Speaker 5: six weeks is what it is. Blown by Do you
- 14:33Speaker 5: remember when we got to finally announce that here, I'm
- 14:35Speaker 5: big flown.
- 14:36Speaker 3: By for you.
- 14:37Speaker 4: I'm sure your pregnant wife feels differently.
- 14:40Speaker 3: It feels like an eternity when you're pregnant.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Yeah, that is true.
- 14:43Speaker 5: I should ask her because I'm sure there are moments
- 14:45Speaker 5: where she's like, oh my god, I'm.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Still pregnant, man.
- 14:48Speaker 5: And then I'm sure she gets the updates and she's like,
- 14:50Speaker 5: oh my god, we're already like way over halfway.
- 14:54Speaker 4: Yeah, pregnancy is so wild. I like that you are
- 14:57Speaker 4: on this journey. You're very invested in your wife. It's
- 15:00Speaker 4: pregnancy journey. And I think that there are some men
- 15:03Speaker 4: who don't care, and I love that you're one that
- 15:05Speaker 4: cares well.
- 15:05Speaker 5: I would like to know here this morning, because every
- 15:08Speaker 5: time I run into a woman who also happens to
- 15:11Speaker 5: be pregnant, I want to know if you're pregnant right now,
- 15:14Speaker 5: let me know. It's seven oh one two eight zero
- 15:15Speaker 5: one nine eight seven. Maybe baby G and your baby
- 15:18Speaker 5: you'll grow up to be besties. Maybe they'll go to
- 15:20Speaker 5: their first prom together. Maybe they'll go to you know,
- 15:23Speaker 5: the ballet class together, or maybe they'll be on the
- 15:26Speaker 5: tennis team or golf or whatever they want to do.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I think it's just kind of cool.
- 15:30Speaker 4: I appreciate you trying to recruit friends for your baby. Already,
- 15:33Speaker 4: that's been a good dad.
- 15:41Speaker 5: I and my wife get to go to an ultrasound
- 15:45Speaker 5: for baby G today. She is twenty six weeks, the
- 15:49Speaker 5: size of a papaya fruit and about two pounds or
- 15:52Speaker 5: something along those lines, and I will say this was
- 15:56Speaker 5: all Angie's fault. What okay, I can't remember what ultrasound
- 16:01Speaker 5: number we're on. It's like three or four. I don't know,
- 16:03Speaker 5: you know, because it's not really about me When I
- 16:05Speaker 5: go I just go there and smile and try to
- 16:07Speaker 5: make the doctor laugh.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Right, how often does that work out for you?
- 16:10Speaker 1: I'm about one out of fifty.
- 16:13Speaker 5: But Angie brought up this the other day when I
- 16:16Speaker 5: had talked about my dog Wanona going through the drive
- 16:20Speaker 5: through basically always expecting a pop cup. Oh, you said,
- 16:24Speaker 5: I have conditioned her to be spoiled while going through
- 16:27Speaker 5: the drive through.
- 16:28Speaker 1: That you're all right, I am to blame for that.
- 16:30Speaker 5: And so my question today, how do I avoid spoiling
- 16:36Speaker 5: the living heck out of baby G? Seven oh one
- 16:39Speaker 5: two eight zero one nine eight seven. I'm assuming now
- 16:42Speaker 5: I'm not a parent. I'm just guessing here. I'm assuming
- 16:44Speaker 5: there's a fine line between getting some kind of reward
- 16:49Speaker 5: or something they've earned and or you just spoil the
- 16:53Speaker 5: living heck out of your kids, which you know, one
- 16:55Speaker 5: way or the other. I don't think there's like a
- 16:57Speaker 5: right or wrong right. Everyone's just trying to do the
- 16:59Speaker 5: best they can.
- 17:00Speaker 4: Yes, everyone as a parent is trying to do the
- 17:02Speaker 4: best they can, I think, especially if you grew up
- 17:07Speaker 4: where you didn't have a lot growing up. I grew up,
- 17:09Speaker 4: I mean like a wildly poor and I was one
- 17:12Speaker 4: of four kids, and so there were a lot of
- 17:15Speaker 4: things that we just like didn't get. We only got gifts,
- 17:18Speaker 4: one gift on our birthday and then gifts at Christmas,
- 17:22Speaker 4: and there were hardly ever any like just because presence.
- 17:27Speaker 4: And then when I became a parent, I wanted to
- 17:29Speaker 4: give my kids more than I ever had. But sometimes
- 17:35Speaker 4: I went too far, I went too far into the
- 17:38Speaker 4: realm of spoiling them. Like there was a time where
- 17:41Speaker 4: it was every time we would go to the store,
- 17:44Speaker 4: they could come home with a little tree or a
- 17:47Speaker 4: little something, and that quickly turned into tantrums if we
- 17:51Speaker 4: were just not we were in a rush, or I
- 17:54Speaker 4: didn't necessarily budget to get them things for no reason
- 17:57Speaker 4: and then tantrums. Well, it's important, I think in my experience.
- 18:03Speaker 4: I can't speak for every parent obviously, to try and
- 18:06Speaker 4: not go too far and then try to reel it back,
- 18:09Speaker 4: because that's harder.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Sure, it's harder to.
- 18:11Speaker 4: Go all the way to spoil town and then try
- 18:14Speaker 4: to bring them back to gratitude City.
- 18:16Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 18:16Speaker 5: Yeah, Because you and I every day here on the
- 18:18Speaker 5: Big ninety eight point seven Morning Show at six' ten six',
- 18:21Speaker 5: eleven ish we say something that we are thankful or
- 18:24Speaker 5: grateful for or just that made, us happy and a lot, of,
- 18:27Speaker 5: times frankly they're.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Really small they, are tiny.
- 18:30Speaker 5: Little VICTORIES but i think it's important to celebrate little wins.
