- 0:04SPEAKER_09: Well, hey everybody, it's uh time again for the Steve and Jeff Experience podcast.
- 0:10SPEAKER_09: I'm Steve.
- 0:11SPEAKER_09: Hey Jeff.
- 0:12SPEAKER_09: I'm Jeff.
- 0:13SPEAKER_09: Or Steve.
- 0:15SPEAKER_09: I know it's so confusing.
- 0:16SPEAKER_09: We're looking in the glasses, almost look like we're looking at ourselves.
- 0:20SPEAKER_10: Well, it's a two-step process.
- 0:21SPEAKER_10: I mean, one of us is Jeff and one of us is Steve.
- 0:24SPEAKER_10: I, you know, it's without cue cards, it's really hard to tell the difference between us.
- 0:29SPEAKER_09: It is so hard to tell.
- 0:30SPEAKER_09: And the older we get, the harder it gets.
- 0:32SPEAKER_09: I tell you, it really does.
- 0:33SPEAKER_09: But but but Jeff, you know, you know, we have got such a vibrant podcast.
- 0:39SPEAKER_09: We've got a great sponsor.
- 0:40SPEAKER_09: I'll tell you more about later.
- 0:42SPEAKER_09: But we have so many followers, so many people listening to this podcast that that I think what we should do tonight, Jeff, I think we should let the people speak.
- 0:51SPEAKER_09: There are so many important issues, so many important causes, so many important crises that are going on that people need to talk about and need to share.
- 1:02SPEAKER_09: I think we should have a call-in show tonight, Jeff.
- 1:04SPEAKER_10: Well, I think you're right.
- 1:05SPEAKER_10: And you know, to be fair here, a lot of these call-in shows only take the cream of the crop.
- 1:11SPEAKER_10: You know, they'll take two or three calls.
- 1:13SPEAKER_10: Oh, yeah, and there's thousands and thousands of people that are wanting to get on the air.
- 1:18SPEAKER_10: The nice part with us is we have so few people listening to us that we can actually put all of them on the air in one uh podcast.
- 1:27SPEAKER_09: Oh, oh, but Jeff, it's it's the beginning.
- 1:29SPEAKER_09: We are really making some headway.
- 1:31SPEAKER_09: In fact, we're I those phones are lighting up.
- 1:34SPEAKER_09: I can see it.
- 1:35SPEAKER_09: The the little dials are lighting up.
- 1:37SPEAKER_10: I so I see something lighting up.
- 1:39SPEAKER_10: I think I'm lighting up right now.
- 1:41SPEAKER_09: Well, I lit up a little bit ago.
- 1:43SPEAKER_09: I think I'm good, but but but but I but but if someone wants, but I digress, but I digress.
- 1:49SPEAKER_09: But if someone wants to call in, they should just dial the Steve and Jeff experience podcast.
- 1:55SPEAKER_09: Yes, I know that's more than 10 letters.
- 1:57SPEAKER_09: If it starts ringing, you can stop dialing, right?
- 1:59SPEAKER_10: Well, and that's kind of one of the questions I have.
- 2:01SPEAKER_10: Is it dialing, Steve?
- 2:03SPEAKER_10: I don't know.
- 2:03SPEAKER_10: With tech, you know, this newfangled technology.
- 2:06SPEAKER_10: Do people literally dial still?
- 2:08SPEAKER_10: I'm not sure.
- 2:09SPEAKER_10: You know, that is a really important question.
- 2:12SPEAKER_09: That's one of those issues, one of those key things that people need to talk about and decide because because dialing, that's an outloaded word.
- 2:21SPEAKER_09: It's more like punching.
- 2:23SPEAKER_09: But if it said, hey, punch the Stephen Jeff podcast, I that wouldn't be good.
- 2:27SPEAKER_09: I wouldn't want that.
- 2:28SPEAKER_10: Yeah, it's it's one of those words that you know used to have value, used to have meaning it like abortion, you know, used to have used to mean something, and now it doesn't mean anything.
- 2:37SPEAKER_10: And uh, you know, so yeah, so I'm very excited to kick this off.
- 2:42SPEAKER_10: Um, would it be all right if I start first and take our yes, yes.
- 2:47SPEAKER_09: Why don't you you you see the the the call is we've got the technology, Jeff.
- 2:51SPEAKER_09: We've got the we've got the IT, we've got the computers, you can see who's calling.
- 2:56SPEAKER_09: It's so beautiful.
- 2:57SPEAKER_10: Oh, it is beautiful, and what I'm looking at here, oh here it is.
- 3:01SPEAKER_10: Here's the first one.
- 3:02SPEAKER_10: So it's is it Theo from Chicago?
- 3:05SPEAKER_10: You're on the air with the Steve and Jeff experience.
- 3:10SPEAKER_06: Who's there?
- 3:10SPEAKER_06: Uh Poopy.
- 3:12SPEAKER_10: Poopy who's Steve, I couldn't think of a better call to start off with.
- 3:18SPEAKER_09: You know, you know, thank you, Theo, for calling in.
- 3:21SPEAKER_09: That is so that is so good.
- 3:22SPEAKER_09: I'm so glad that we've that we've had that call.
- 3:25SPEAKER_09: That's a great way to start the show, Jeff.
- 3:28SPEAKER_09: You know, and I I see, gosh, I see there's another call.
- 3:31SPEAKER_09: This is on the long distance line.
- 3:33SPEAKER_09: We've got uh, is that Scott from Detroit?
- 3:37SPEAKER_09: Scott, you are on the Stephen Jeff Podcast.
- 3:39SPEAKER_09: You're on with Steve and Jeff.
- 3:40SPEAKER_08: Hey guys, love your show.
- 3:42SPEAKER_08: Scott from Detroit.
- 3:43SPEAKER_08: Uh I I keep looking for your show on on cable, but I can't find it.
- 3:48SPEAKER_08: Uh you know, I'll keep looking.
- 3:49SPEAKER_08: But uh no, my my my question is what is the best way to get to Omaha from Detroit?
- 3:55SPEAKER_08: Is that another great question?
- 3:59SPEAKER_08: I'll I'll listen to the show.
- 3:59SPEAKER_08: Sorry, Scott.
- 4:00SPEAKER_08: Thank you.
- 4:01SPEAKER_09: And see, that's that's that's one of those critical issues.
- 4:05SPEAKER_09: That's one of those important topics that needs to be talked about, needs to be discussed.
- 4:10SPEAKER_09: How do you get from Detroit to Omaha?
- 4:13SPEAKER_09: I don't know.
- 4:14SPEAKER_09: Do you know?
- 4:14SPEAKER_09: I I don't know.
- 4:15SPEAKER_10: I don't know, but more importantly, how do you get there with avoiding Chicago?
- 4:20SPEAKER_10: I don't know.
- 4:21SPEAKER_10: Sounds like that's something Scott may have issues with.
- 4:23SPEAKER_10: I don't know if he's wanted in the city of uh Chicago or the state of Illinois, but he's gonna have a little bit of a problem, I think, working his way around uh Illinois limits.
- 4:36SPEAKER_09: It's gonna be it's gonna be a tough trip to avoid Illinois.
- 4:39SPEAKER_09: He's gonna have to go via Kentucky, and you know, anything could happen, right?
- 4:44SPEAKER_10: I mean, who does it?
- 4:45SPEAKER_10: Absolutely absolutely right.
- 4:46SPEAKER_10: What is also kind of fascinating here is here you have uh Scott.
- 4:50SPEAKER_10: I don't want to I don't want to jump to conclusions, but Scott sounds like a young man, you know, probably in his uh uh 20s, maybe early 30s.
- 4:59SPEAKER_10: Uh and that follows Theo, who uh sounded like he was uh, you know, in his single digits, maybe even less than uh you know, five years old.
- 5:12SPEAKER_10: You know, this is really what makes us wonderful, Steve, is the ability to reach people at all different walks of life.
- 5:20SPEAKER_09: This shows the broad appeal that this show has.
- 5:24SPEAKER_09: And in in today's world, don't we need something that appeals to everyone?
- 5:29SPEAKER_09: This appeals to everyone.
- 5:31SPEAKER_09: We we you know, we we talk about people equally, we offend people equally.
- 5:36SPEAKER_09: We are an equal opportunity offender.
- 5:39SPEAKER_09: People love that, and that's why they flock.
- 5:42SPEAKER_09: I I flock is the only word I can think of.
- 5:44SPEAKER_09: They flock to this show.
- 5:45SPEAKER_10: Yeah, I agree.
- 5:46SPEAKER_10: And uh, and one more thought about uh about you know the age levels that we're talking about here is Steve, you're uh as uh you know a professional like I am in terms of advertising and you know the the types of appeal that we offer to uh you know various advertisers.
- 6:05SPEAKER_10: And you know, this is just the sweet spot, you know, to get a a listener under the age of five, it's it's not an easy thing to do.
- 6:14SPEAKER_10: A lot of a lot of kids under the age of five don't listen to podcasts.
- 6:18SPEAKER_09: No, no, because they think they're boring.
- 6:20SPEAKER_09: But see, see, we're appealing to them and we're appealing to the Scots of Detroit of the world.
- 6:26SPEAKER_09: Exactly.
- 6:27SPEAKER_09: That is so exciting.
- 6:28SPEAKER_09: Oh, oh gosh, Jeff, look, look, there's someone else is on the line here.
- 6:32SPEAKER_09: This looks like, oh, you know, and we have like every important talk show, you know, the talk shows that really bring in the money, they've got different lines, you know.
- 6:42SPEAKER_09: Wait, like a first-time caller line.
- 6:45SPEAKER_09: This is on Stephanie, she's on the first time caller line.
- 6:47SPEAKER_09: This looks like Stephanie on the first time caller line.
- 6:50SPEAKER_09: Stephanie, welcome to the show.
- 6:52SPEAKER_09: First call, but I'm sure it won't be your last.
- 6:55SPEAKER_07: Hi, this is Stephanie.
- 6:56SPEAKER_07: Uh oh, I'm sorry.
- 6:58SPEAKER_07: I thought I was calling Joe Rogue.
- 6:59SPEAKER_07: My fault.
- 7:01SPEAKER_10: Oh, sounds like Stephanie may have broken up.
- 7:04SPEAKER_10: Uh, also sounds like maybe Stephanie was interested in another of our podcasts, maybe one that we had had previously when we had uh different people on.
- 7:16SPEAKER_10: But uh we appreciate the effort.
- 7:18SPEAKER_09: Yeah, yeah.
- 7:19SPEAKER_09: Well, she probably meant to call in when we were talking to our that mystery guest, you know, the mystery guest who said he's not that podcaster, but how do we know, right?
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: That's exactly right.
- 7:31SPEAKER_09: Could be, but you know, well, Stephanie, listen, we hope you you stay listening and stay with the show.
- 7:37SPEAKER_09: Wow, looks like we've got another one on the long distance line here, Jeff.
- 7:42SPEAKER_09: This is uh we are really appealing to the ladies tonight, Jeff, aren't we?
- 7:47SPEAKER_09: Other than Scott.
- 7:49SPEAKER_10: Is this uh I'm trying to see now?
- 7:52SPEAKER_10: Do I see uh Barb here?
- 7:54SPEAKER_06: Barb, I think you're on the air.
- 7:56SPEAKER_10: Barb from Baltimore.
- 7:57SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 7:58SPEAKER_06: Hi, Steve and Jeff.
- 7:59SPEAKER_06: This is Barb from Baltimore.
- 8:01SPEAKER_06: I'm a big fan of both of you and have been listening since I was a little girl.
- 8:05SPEAKER_06: My question is I noticed on your website that both of you are married.
- 8:10SPEAKER_06: Any chance you might become single soon?
- 8:12SPEAKER_06: Your pictures are dreamy.
- 8:14SPEAKER_06: She sounded distracted.
- 8:16SPEAKER_09: I think I think she was distracted by our pictures, Jeff.
- 8:19SPEAKER_10: I think so.
- 8:20SPEAKER_10: I know how that is.
- 8:21SPEAKER_10: I was distracted when they were taken.
- 8:24SPEAKER_09: That's I was I I'm not sure I was even there when they took that picture of me.
- 8:28SPEAKER_09: I don't know how they got it.
- 8:30SPEAKER_09: I don't think I was in the room.
- 8:31SPEAKER_10: I really and Barb mentioned when she was a little girl.
- 8:35SPEAKER_10: I think Theo might be kind of interested in her, um, or at least was interested in her when she was a lot younger.
- 8:41SPEAKER_10: Yeah, um, but uh, but I appreciate that.
- 8:44SPEAKER_10: I you know it's it's uh hard to imagine her listening to us when she was a small child, given the fact that we've only been on the air a couple months.
- 8:54SPEAKER_10: But yeah, you know what?
- 8:56SPEAKER_10: Maybe uh she's similar to you, Steve, and she can tell the future.
- 9:01SPEAKER_09: Maybe she was a little girl in the future, maybe she maybe she's like the Benjamin Button, and she was younger in the future, but she's getting older now.
- 9:10SPEAKER_09: Or wait, no, how'd that work?
- 9:12SPEAKER_09: Wait, oh let's let's let's take another call.
- 9:15SPEAKER_09: Let's take another call.
- 9:16SPEAKER_09: Oh, we've got uh this one.
- 9:18SPEAKER_09: Oh, you want to maybe you want to grab this one here.
- 9:20SPEAKER_10: Is this on uh somebody?
- 9:22SPEAKER_10: Is it Evie from Chicago?
- 9:24SPEAKER_10: Evie, you're on the air with it.
- 9:25SPEAKER_10: Evie from Chicago, uh you know, the sense of humor of these young kids, uh I I I never get enough of them.
- 9:44SPEAKER_10: You know, they're they're uh they're happy, they're smart.
- 9:48SPEAKER_10: I mean, that was that was the kind of joke I don't think I completely understood it, but I think there was an effort there, you know, kind of a one-liner.
- 9:56SPEAKER_09: Um yeah, I think well, and you know, I think Jeff, too, even beyond those specific calls, I think we are making such inroads with that zero to five year old demographic that advertisers love that group.
- 10:09SPEAKER_09: Oh my gosh, we are gonna get such good ads because we appeal to that group's got all the money, everybody knows that, right?
- 10:17SPEAKER_09: And they make all the decisions.
- 10:19SPEAKER_10: Yeah, I think uh Evie may have called me Papa.
- 10:23SPEAKER_10: Uh, I like that, you know, it's kind of street, kind of funky, you know.
- 10:27SPEAKER_10: It's it's like I'm her daddy, you know.
- 10:30SPEAKER_10: I I like that.
- 10:31SPEAKER_10: I like to be cool with the young people, and uh I think that's kind of what she was saying, although I she could have been saying it to you, Steve, because I don't really remember her identifying either of us.
- 10:42SPEAKER_09: I think I think maybe maybe what she's saying, Jeff, is that through our our podcast, which brings joy and unity to all, maybe she sees us as her metaphorical fathers.
- 10:56SPEAKER_10: That's pretty deep.
- 10:57SPEAKER_09: Yeah, uh, probably I don't even know what that means, but I it just sounds so wonderful, you know.
- 11:03SPEAKER_10: Well, if you're if you're still there, Evie, why don't you call us back and fill us in on that?
- 11:07SPEAKER_10: Because uh you said a lot, very few words, and yeah, yeah, I appreciate it.
- 11:12SPEAKER_10: Uh, we'd love to talk to you again.
- 11:14SPEAKER_10: You know, Evie may be somebody we want to bring on as a guest.
- 11:17SPEAKER_10: It'd be you know, spend a little more time with her.
- 11:20SPEAKER_09: You know, she'd be a wonderful guest because not enough podcasts pay attention to that zero to five demographic.
- 11:27SPEAKER_09: They're not talking about the problems that they face.
- 11:29SPEAKER_09: Oh no, no, they're talking about I had to wait for my fast food.
- 11:32SPEAKER_09: Oh, traffic was bad.
- 11:34SPEAKER_09: Uh, you know, come on, come on, those zero to fives, they have the big problems, those toys they're so optimistic.
- 11:41SPEAKER_10: Yeah, they're so optimistic, you know.
- 11:43SPEAKER_10: Uh, everybody's so cynical.
- 11:45SPEAKER_10: Uh, you get these, you know, eight-year-olds, nine-year-olds, and you know, they've seen it all.
- 11:49SPEAKER_10: They're just you know, they're to be honest with you, they're they they're jaded.
- 11:54SPEAKER_10: They're in some ways, they're just kind of assholes, you know.
- 11:56SPEAKER_10: But you get them when they're they're this young.
- 11:59SPEAKER_10: Um, at least that's what we think they're this young.
- 12:02SPEAKER_10: But even in fairness, let's say she's not four years old, let's say she's 20, still young in spirit, young mentally.
- 12:11SPEAKER_09: Uh well, and and and if she's 20, that is very she's very much in tune with the problems, with the crises, with the difficulties of that zero to five.
- 12:21SPEAKER_09: And and I think that's beautiful.
- 12:23SPEAKER_09: I think that's a beautiful thing.
- 12:25SPEAKER_10: Me too.
- 12:25SPEAKER_10: Oh, so uh call us back, Evie.
- 12:28SPEAKER_09: Yeah, oh, we we got somebody else.
- 12:29SPEAKER_09: We have uh this looks like uh is this this looks like Aaron, Aaron from Chicago.
- 12:34SPEAKER_07: Uh this is Aaron from Chicago.
- 12:36SPEAKER_07: My question is for Jeff, my dad.
- 12:38SPEAKER_07: Hey dad, can you and mom babysit for Evie and Theo this weekend?
- 12:41SPEAKER_07: Let me know.
- 12:42SPEAKER_07: Dan and I want to go to a party.
- 12:43SPEAKER_07: We really need you and mom to stay with the kids.
- 12:45SPEAKER_07: Thanks.
- 12:46SPEAKER_09: Well, you know, when we when we have open lines, anybody can call, right?
- 12:50SPEAKER_09: So there you go.
- 12:51SPEAKER_10: Absolutely.
- 12:52SPEAKER_10: And you know, I the sad part is I I didn't know I had a daughter.
- 12:56SPEAKER_10: Um, so uh, you know, it's good to know she sounds very nice.
- 13:01SPEAKER_10: She sounds really nice.
- 13:02SPEAKER_10: Um I I I I wonder why she would trust somebody she's never met to babysit for her kids over the weekend, but um I'm game, you know, what's the worst that can happen, you know.
- 13:14SPEAKER_09: Well, you know, probably because Jeff, probably because she believes that you're her quote father, daddy.
- 13:22SPEAKER_09: Yes, I'm her daddy, yes, and I think I think that could be another show, Jeff.
- 13:29SPEAKER_09: I think we're I think we got a different show here, but but let maybe we get her on, maybe we bring Aaron on sometime.
- 13:36SPEAKER_09: That could work.
- 13:37SPEAKER_09: That could work.
- 13:37SPEAKER_10: I I'd like to meet her, you know.
- 13:39SPEAKER_10: Oh yeah, I yeah, I I I I was just gonna say I hear good things, but I actually I didn't know anything about it.
- 13:47SPEAKER_09: We just heard 12 seconds of her here.
- 13:48SPEAKER_10: And I'll just take her word for it that I'm her dad.
- 13:51SPEAKER_09: Um but uh you know well you look like her, but wait, you know, I haven't seen her either, so I really don't know if you look like her.
- 13:59SPEAKER_10: No, but I you know, I'm sure she's uh I'm sure she's wonderful, and uh and I hope we hear back from her again at some point too.
- 14:07SPEAKER_09: But I digress.
- 14:08SPEAKER_09: I digress, Jeff.
- 14:09SPEAKER_09: You know, we we got some more people lining up on the phones, but Jeff, we got a new sponsor.
- 14:16SPEAKER_09: Oh we are doing so well with the sponsors, Jeff.
- 14:19SPEAKER_09: We got uh we got a whale this time.
- 14:21SPEAKER_09: We got a whale of a sponsor, you know, you know, all the big money is in big pharma, right?
- 14:29SPEAKER_09: Big pharma makes all that money, they charge us, you know, a hundred dollars for a two-dollar bill, you know, you know, you know how that works.
- 14:36SPEAKER_09: Yeah, well, yeah, we got big pharma as a sponsor, Jeff.
- 14:40SPEAKER_09: So you know what I did?
- 14:41SPEAKER_09: What I did, I said our 60 second spot that usually costs$45.
- 14:45SPEAKER_09: So I sold it to them for$17,852 and 12 cents just because taxes and all, right?
- 14:52SPEAKER_09: So yeah, yeah.
- 14:53SPEAKER_09: So we got a new spot, pharma bro.
- 14:56SPEAKER_09: You know, the big they're the biggies, right?
- 14:58SPEAKER_09: PharmaBro, right?
- 14:59SPEAKER_09: Well, let's uh here, let me let me let's go to commercial here.
- 15:02SPEAKER_09: Let me uh let me get this commercial for you.
- 15:04SPEAKER_09: And uh I am so excited to have FarmaBro advertising their stuff on this show.
- 15:13SPEAKER_09: Finally, I can enjoy walks in the country again, thanks to Plastibex.
- 15:19SPEAKER_09: Plastibex, designed to make you feel better about any situation for any reason.
- 15:24SPEAKER_09: I used to hate the morning commute coming out here and getting stuck.

- 15:44SPEAKER_09: Plastibex is designed to do absolutely nothing at all, while making you think that it is.
- 15:50SPEAKER_09: Any positive medical results are completely coincidental.
- 15:53SPEAKER_09: Frequent or prolonged use could result in stupor, boredom, ignorance of reality, anti-vaccine ideation, belief that life was better in the 10th century, addiction to television, appreciation of Rick Astley recordings, and death.
- 16:07SPEAKER_09: Do not use placebox if you are in a coma or expect to be.
- 16:10SPEAKER_09: Some patients have gained weight and lost brain cells in clinical studies, not to be used by those with cornstarch allergies or who live in southern New Jersey.
- 16:19SPEAKER_09: May cause drowsiness or not.
- 16:21SPEAKER_09: Has been linked to certain political ideas, but the makers of Placebox make no specific candidate endorsements other than those we have previously bought under the provisions of federal election law.

- 16:34SPEAKER_09: Just don't.
- 16:36SPEAKER_04: Before Plastibex, I had pain all the time.
- 16:39SPEAKER_04: Now, I just have pain most of the time.
- 16:43SPEAKER_09: Plastibix can be expensive, so ask your doctor about the Plastibix Affordability Program.
- 16:48SPEAKER_09: It might make your plastibix prescription as low as$350 a week.
- 16:52SPEAKER_09: I used to be an old and bitter man.
- 16:55SPEAKER_09: I still am.
- 16:57SPEAKER_09: But now I'm good with that.
- 16:59SPEAKER_09: Thank you, placebox.
- 17:01SPEAKER_09: Ask your doctor if Plastibix is right for you.
- 17:04SPEAKER_09: Plastibix, new from Farmer Brute.
- 17:07SPEAKER_09: It does nothing.
- 17:08SPEAKER_09: And sometimes nothing is exactly what you need.
- 17:17SPEAKER_10: What a great sponsor that was.
- 18:20SPEAKER_09: Oh, because hey, who wines more than kids, right?
- 18:23SPEAKER_09: Who needs that placebex?
- 18:25SPEAKER_09: Those kids need that placebex.
- 18:27SPEAKER_09: Oh, you betcha.
- 18:28SPEAKER_09: Taste they have a great flavor, they have a cherry, and they've got one that's like honey lemon.
- 18:32SPEAKER_09: Now, I most kids don't like honey lemon, but okay, they made it anyway.
- 18:37SPEAKER_09: So what the heck?
- 18:39SPEAKER_10: But uh, yeah, I think that's perfect.
- 18:41SPEAKER_10: So uh yes, welcome to our family.
- 18:44SPEAKER_10: And uh when I say family, I guess I'm including Aaron because yes, I guess I'm her father.
- 18:49SPEAKER_09: So I think you are.
- 18:50SPEAKER_09: And and and hey, we looks like we've got we've got another call.
- 18:54SPEAKER_09: We've got uh this is uh Teresa from Omaha.
- 18:58SPEAKER_09: Teresa, come on, come on on the phone.
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: Hello, Steve and Jeff.
- 19:02SPEAKER_01: You have the podcast that I always listen to just before bed.
- 19:06SPEAKER_01: This is a question for Steve.
- 19:08SPEAKER_01: Steve, this is your wife Teresa.
- 19:10SPEAKER_01: Oh, I am going to bed.
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: So when you finish your podcast, remember that tonight is garbage day.
- 19:18unknown: Oh, yeah.
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: Oh, and also, can you please put the toilet seat down when you're finished?
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 19:24SPEAKER_09: Oh, you know, Jeff, what a wonderful woman, Steve.
- 19:27SPEAKER_09: She is she is fantastic.
- 19:29SPEAKER_09: Let me just tell you, she is fantastic, and and so so is our technology.
- 19:34SPEAKER_09: But that that our IT, it sounded like she was right here in the same building I'm in.
- 19:38SPEAKER_10: I mean, that was talking about the toilet seat.
- 19:41SPEAKER_09: Well, the being able to oh, that's in the same building too.
- 19:45SPEAKER_09: Well, as you remember from our first podcast when the psychologist said, Why do you have a toilet?
- 19:49SPEAKER_09: We we have one in the studio because you know, why not?
- 19:52SPEAKER_09: Right.
- 19:52SPEAKER_09: I mean, that's right, because that was the only room that was available for us, and you know, you you gotta hold your podcast somewhere, right?
- 19:59SPEAKER_10: So yeah, and and so Steve, yeah, she was uh she's wonderful.
- 20:03SPEAKER_10: What I like about her is um you could just feel how much she loves you, and uh you know, and and what a great team you are, you know.
- 20:13SPEAKER_10: Um sounds like she probably works and you um you clean, uh well there can you know work on the toilet.
- 20:22SPEAKER_09: I'm I'm glad you mentioned team.
- 20:23SPEAKER_09: That's that's exactly it.
- 20:24SPEAKER_09: We it's like we cooperate.
- 20:26SPEAKER_09: See, I help her go to sleep with this podcast, and then she reminds me of all the stuff I'm supposed to do while she's asleep.
- 20:35SPEAKER_09: See how that works?
- 20:36SPEAKER_09: Great, it's it's just it's perfect, it's perfect, right?
- 20:39SPEAKER_09: It just it totally works.
- 20:41SPEAKER_10: We're a couple lucky guys.
- 20:42SPEAKER_10: We are you know that's all I have to say.
- 20:44SPEAKER_10: Um, you know, I thank my lucky stars every well, not every day, but you know, a couple times a well, you know, a couple times a month for sure.
- 20:56SPEAKER_10: I I I'm grateful for a lot of things, you know.
- 20:59SPEAKER_10: Yeah, some of them are are Kathy.
- 21:02SPEAKER_09: Well, and and funny you should say Kathy because I I I don't know what your screen says, Jeff, but on my screen, it looks like we have a call from someone named Kathy in Chicago.
- 21:12SPEAKER_10: Oh I think we should let's pick that call up, Jeff.
- 21:15SPEAKER_10: What do you think?
- 21:16SPEAKER_10: I'm I'm interested.
- 21:17SPEAKER_05: Hey Jeff, it's me.
- 21:19SPEAKER_05: So like I went to the dryer and I pulled out the clothes, and all of my whites are like have a bluish tint to them.
- 21:27SPEAKER_05: So come on, seriously?
- 21:30SPEAKER_05: Oh man, just leave my shit alone.
- 21:33SPEAKER_09: Well, she sounds like a wonderful woman, Jeff.
- 21:35SPEAKER_09: She really does.
- 21:36SPEAKER_10: She she is, you know, a little racist, you know, with the whites and the blues and stuff like that.
- 21:42SPEAKER_10: But but it we're working on it.
- 21:43SPEAKER_10: Um, but yeah, it it's really more woman.
- 21:46SPEAKER_09: It's more colorous, really.
- 21:47SPEAKER_09: Isn't that is that so 'cause I don't think blue is a race, you know what I mean?
- 21:51SPEAKER_10: You're you're right.
- 21:52SPEAKER_10: Uh unless you're talking about the blue man group, because they are a race.
- 21:55SPEAKER_10: They are they are separate species.
- 21:57SPEAKER_10: They are, yeah.
- 21:58SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 21:58SPEAKER_10: But uh but in general.
- 22:00SPEAKER_10: But yeah, um the warmth, I think we're both very lucky to have um have these women in our life.
- 22:08SPEAKER_10: And uh, you know, I just thank my lucky stars that uh that I have her.
- 22:13SPEAKER_10: And um have I said enough yet?
- 22:16SPEAKER_09: I you'll find out later if you've said enough.
- 22:18SPEAKER_09: I guess I will.
- 22:20SPEAKER_09: You'll know soon.
- 22:21SPEAKER_09: I mean and we've uh oh you know, we've had a lot of calls from lovely ladies this evening.
- 22:27SPEAKER_09: We have a call from a gentleman here.
- 22:29SPEAKER_09: We have uh who is this?
- 22:30SPEAKER_09: Uh Steven from Baltimore.
- 22:32SPEAKER_09: Steven, come on the show.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: Hi, Steve and Jeff.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: This is Steven from Baltimore.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: I'm a big fan of both of you and have been listening to you since I was a little girl.
- 22:43SPEAKER_02: What?
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: My question is I noticed on your website that both of you are married.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: Any chance you might become single soon?
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: Your pictures are dreamy.
- 22:53SPEAKER_10: Well, you know, if there's one thing that I like, it's I I like that we are respected and loved by all kinds of people, and including uh Steven.
- 23:06SPEAKER_09: You know, you know, I can't help but think.
- 23:08SPEAKER_09: Now call me paranoid.
- 23:09SPEAKER_09: I know you have, you have.
- 23:11SPEAKER_09: Call me paranoid, but uh, I'm wondering if Steven from Baltimore has talked to Barb from Baltimore, and maybe because she sounded he sounded an awful lot like Barb, and Barb sounded an awful lot like him, at least in content.
- 23:28SPEAKER_09: So he figured out how to manipulate his voice or her voice or whoever's voice.
- 23:33SPEAKER_09: I don't even know if it's their voice, but I digress.
- 23:37SPEAKER_10: I'm very mysterious, yeah, it very well could be the same call.
- 23:41SPEAKER_10: And to answer the question, I just want to get this on record.
- 23:45SPEAKER_10: I am uh completely happily married, and good 50% of the time, I just couldn't be happier.
- 23:51SPEAKER_10: And I have no plans in the immediate future to be single again, and uh, you know, it's not some of the thing you can predict, uh, although you could, Steve.
- 24:02SPEAKER_10: But uh yeah, but you know, for me, uh you never know what the future holds, but you know, I I think I'm yeah, actually you do know, so um, but I'm I I'm very reasonably happy.
- 24:16SPEAKER_09: Well, and and you know, I for for my part, you know, hey, I'm I'm too old.
- 24:21SPEAKER_09: I I I am not gonna be single again.
- 24:23SPEAKER_09: I'm just too old, you know.
- 24:24SPEAKER_09: It's just I don't know, I don't want to do that again.
- 24:27SPEAKER_09: Plus, I've looked into the future, and there was one scenario where I was single again and it it didn't, it wasn't good, it didn't work out.
- 24:34SPEAKER_09: So I'm not gonna do that.
- 24:35SPEAKER_09: Okay, so I'm not gonna do that.
- 24:37SPEAKER_09: So uh no, so to answer your question, Steven, Barb, whatever your name is, uh, yeah, no, probably not, probably not, okay.
- 24:44SPEAKER_10: But uh I'm glad we were able to solve that.
- 24:46SPEAKER_09: Yeah, yeah.
- 24:47SPEAKER_10: Good but feel free to get back to us, you know.
- 24:50SPEAKER_10: You never know what the future well, you do, but most of us don't know what the future holds, and and uh yeah, there's you can never say never or you can never say Barb or Steven.
- 25:03SPEAKER_10: Who knows?
- 25:04SPEAKER_09: Right, right.
- 25:05SPEAKER_09: Oh, oh, oh, look, look, we've got another call, and this one uh looks like it's from uh Ian or Ian I uh from uh Miami.
- 25:15SPEAKER_09: We're getting our our reach is far and wide.
- 25:19SPEAKER_09: Yeah, everybody thought we were just an Omaha Chicago thing.
- 25:21SPEAKER_09: No, no, no, no, no.
- 25:23SPEAKER_09: Miami.
- 25:23SPEAKER_09: Look at this.
- 25:24SPEAKER_09: Miami.
- 25:25SPEAKER_09: We had Baltimore.
- 25:26SPEAKER_09: Now we got Miami.
- 25:27SPEAKER_09: Oh, Ian, come on on, come on on the show.
- 25:29SPEAKER_03: Hi, this is Ian from Miami.
- 25:31SPEAKER_03: And my question goes to my brother Jeff.
- 25:33SPEAKER_03: Hey Jeff, hope you're doing well.
- 25:35SPEAKER_03: Uh, maybe you can help me with something.
- 25:37SPEAKER_03: I recently took the 23andM test, and I saw a name that I was unfamiliar with.
- 25:42SPEAKER_03: It says that my father's is MJ.
- 25:45SPEAKER_03: Um, I'm not quite sure what that means.
- 25:47SPEAKER_03: Maybe you can help me out.
- 25:48SPEAKER_03: Thanks.
- 25:49SPEAKER_09: That wouldn't be MJ from Spider-Man, would it?
- 25:52SPEAKER_09: Jesus.
- 25:53SPEAKER_10: That was my first thought.
- 25:54SPEAKER_10: Um, and then and then, of course, he uh did he say 23andMe?
- 25:59SPEAKER_10: And you know, when I think of 23, I think of a famous uh basketball player from Chicago.
- 26:05SPEAKER_10: But um he played for the White Sox too, didn't he?
- 26:08SPEAKER_10: He did play for the White Sox, and it's good to hear from my brother, you know.
- 26:12SPEAKER_10: Again, you know, call me uh insensitive, call me uh aloof, but I forgot I had a brother, and it sounds like maybe I didn't have a brother after all.
- 26:23SPEAKER_09: And see, that's that's the beautiful thing about this podcast, is it can bring people together, it it brings together families that didn't even know they're families.
- 26:31SPEAKER_09: Oh my gosh, I'm overwhelmed.
- 26:33SPEAKER_10: How good what all the good we're doing in the world?
- 26:36SPEAKER_10: Assuming that Ian or Ian or whatever his name is is uh is actually my brother.
- 26:42SPEAKER_10: Um the father I had, if you're you know, if if you're if you had like a uh, you know, one of those criminal things where you stand up and line and they pick out the person who did it.
- 26:53SPEAKER_09: Yeah, a lineup, they call him, yeah.
- 26:54SPEAKER_10: A lineup, yeah.
- 26:55SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 26:55SPEAKER_10: If you put my dad next to uh MJ, uh uh whoever that may be, yeah, you gotta think that MJ comes out number one every time.
- 27:05SPEAKER_10: I mean, I mean, we're talking celebrities here, and uh whether it's the MJ from uh Spider-Man or the MJ from the Bulls, it's still MJ, and that's a whole lot better than Jerry, which was my father.
- 27:18SPEAKER_10: And you know, so I'm just I think I think Ian's lucky, and uh, if if he's lucky enough to to have him as a father, you know, good for him.
- 27:26SPEAKER_09: Well, and one of those MJs had a really nice restaurant in Chicago, too.
- 27:31SPEAKER_09: Uh, I think it was the one from Spider-Man that had that restaurant.
- 27:34SPEAKER_09: It was a beautiful place.
- 27:36SPEAKER_10: I think you're right.
- 27:36SPEAKER_10: So, congratulations, Ian.
- 27:38SPEAKER_10: And uh hey, let's stay in touch.
- 27:40SPEAKER_10: Love to talk to you again.
- 27:42SPEAKER_10: And uh, I don't know, I'm I'm married, and I don't know if you've met Kathy or not, but uh we ought to get together.
- 27:48SPEAKER_10: We ought to, you know, kind of compare what we've done in our lives.
- 27:51SPEAKER_10: And I'd like to learn more about uh about your father.
- 27:54SPEAKER_10: I guess the real question is, is your mother your mother?
- 27:57SPEAKER_10: You know, that would be right.
- 28:01SPEAKER_10: No, didn't mention her at all.
- 28:03SPEAKER_10: So there you can see yeah, so I'd be interested in that too.
- 28:06SPEAKER_10: But thanks for the call and uh stay in touch.
- 28:09SPEAKER_09: Well, and and you know, Jeff, we're we're running low on time, but I think we got time for one more call.
- 28:14SPEAKER_09: One more call, Jeff.
- 28:16SPEAKER_09: Uh we have uh what is another one from from Chicago area from Evanston.
- 28:20SPEAKER_09: This one I used to live in Evanston, Jeff.
- 28:21SPEAKER_09: You ever live in Evanston?
- 28:22SPEAKER_09: Nice place to live.
- 28:24SPEAKER_09: A lot of people have lived in Evanston, it's a good place.
- 28:26SPEAKER_10: Yeah, I hear the the the bulls work out around Evanston, so that's you know, as familiar as I am to it.
- 28:33SPEAKER_09: Wow, yeah.
- 28:34SPEAKER_09: I think uh I yeah, I think they do.
- 28:36SPEAKER_09: I think up at the place, you know, the one where where where the gym is.
- 28:40SPEAKER_09: Yeah, yeah.
- 28:41SPEAKER_09: Anyway, uh, we have Lourdes, Lourdes from uh oh from uh Evanston.
- 28:46SPEAKER_09: Lourdes, join us.
- 28:47SPEAKER_06: Hi, this is Lourdes from Evanston, Illinois.
- 28:50SPEAKER_06: Not sure if you're the right test chart, but I was going through my old mail and I got some test results from Loyola Hospital that had your name on them.
- 28:58SPEAKER_06: Don't want to scare you, but they don't look so good.
- 29:01SPEAKER_06: But hey, I'm not a doctor, so what do I know?
- 29:04SPEAKER_06: Assuming you're still alive, do you want me to send them to you or just throw them away?
- 29:09SPEAKER_06: Since at this point, there's really not much you can do about it anyway.
- 29:13SPEAKER_10: Well, you know, I really appreciate the call.
- 29:16SPEAKER_10: And uh um obviously I'm alive and I am uh Jeff Sharf.
- 29:22SPEAKER_10: I don't know if I'm that Jeff Sharp, but it probably is a coincidence because I did have some some work done at uh Loyola Hospital.
- 29:29SPEAKER_10: What I'm really happy about, Lordis, is that uh um this whole experience has has has made it, you know, you've enjoyed that so much.
- 29:37SPEAKER_10: I could hear the the the chuckle in your voice.
- 29:41SPEAKER_09: You know, I wonder if she got the proper HIPAA form signed to read your medical records, Jeff.
- 29:47SPEAKER_10: Assuming they're mine, I can't say for sure.
- 29:49SPEAKER_09: Well, but uh but see, that's one of those issues, that's one of those important things that you know we we really gotta dig into on this show.
- 29:57SPEAKER_10: I don't know that she had uh the authority to read those, and plus, you know, I Jeff, I I gotta tell you, you know, I'm from the future, so uh you know, just you should probably just tell her to throw them away because you know well, and I'm sure, Steve, if if there was bad news, I'm sure you would have already told me by now, right?
- 30:15SPEAKER_09: So I what right but um oh you would you would have already told me yeah, oh I would have so oh yeah, yeah.
- 30:23SPEAKER_10: Yeah, I'm sure I have nothing to worry about.
- 30:25SPEAKER_10: Little concern, Steve, because I did see that you applied for the name uh the Steve Experience um you know, podcast.
- 30:34SPEAKER_10: And I don't know if that is just a coincidence here, but uh oh, it's just kind of just kind of disaster planning, Jeff.
- 30:40SPEAKER_09: You know, you gotta be ready, you gotta be ready for whatever happens, you know.
- 30:44SPEAKER_09: You gotta be ready for lightning strikes, you gotta be ready for you know plagues of locusts, you gotta be ready for, you know, bubblegum on your shoe, whatever, you know, whatever it is.
- 30:53SPEAKER_09: You gotta be Steve.
- 30:55SPEAKER_10: Now I'm wondering whether you read my chart because those are literally what happened to me.
- 31:00SPEAKER_09: Oh, you know, I I read a chart and I didn't know it was yours at first, but yeah, Jeff.
- 31:09SPEAKER_09: Um, I would say, you know, more fruit juice, um, you know, fresh air.
- 31:15SPEAKER_09: Um, just try to stay comfortable, you know.
- 31:18SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 31:19SPEAKER_10: I'm I I I feel good right now.
- 31:21SPEAKER_09: I well, I did up until a couple minutes ago, but uh it don't feel so good now, right?
- 31:26SPEAKER_10: Yeah, not now it feels a little a little weird, but uh, but hey, it's a good point to end uh uh another wonderful podcast on a high note.
- 31:35SPEAKER_09: It is, and and that that is a you know the the high note of this, Jeff, is that whatever happens in the future, which I know was gonna happen, but whatever happens in the future, we are making a difference in the lives of so many people because of this podcast.
- 31:52SPEAKER_09: All those beautiful callers tonight, all those beautiful people that didn't call.
- 31:56SPEAKER_09: Because for every caller, there's probably 50 that are sitting at home and say, Oh, I'm not gonna call.
- 32:00SPEAKER_09: You call, I'm not gonna call.
- 32:02SPEAKER_09: You know, so we got plenty more listeners over there, and it's just it's just getting better.
- 32:06SPEAKER_09: And we got more Farmer Brute coming.
- 32:08SPEAKER_09: We got got Farmer Brute coming.
- 32:10SPEAKER_09: Uh, we got another commercial from them, the next show.
- 32:13SPEAKER_09: And we will have next show.
- 32:14SPEAKER_09: I think we're gonna go back to uh a guest.
- 32:17SPEAKER_09: Uh yeah, we're gonna have a special guest, and um, oh, it'll be it'll be a good one.
- 32:21SPEAKER_09: I can't tell you too much about it, but it's gonna be a good one.
- 32:24SPEAKER_10: Yeah, I can't wait.
- 32:25SPEAKER_10: And Eevee and Theo, it's probably past your bedtime.
- 32:28SPEAKER_10: Um, unless, of course, you're 20.
- 32:30SPEAKER_10: And then in which case, you do whatever.
- 32:34SPEAKER_09: And and yeah, Teresa, Teresa, if you're if you're still awake, uh, yeah, got the garbage and toilet seats down.
- 32:40SPEAKER_09: So, I mean, unless I get up in the night, which you know, I probably will, but you know, it's a toilet seat's good, so I think we're good there.
- 32:46SPEAKER_10: So yeah, and and and to Kathy, you know, um I'll be seeing you a little later.
- 32:51SPEAKER_10: And um, excuse me, uh, got something in my throat, but uh um yeah, it was it was this has been great.
- 32:59SPEAKER_10: I really enjoyed this.
- 33:00SPEAKER_09: See, I didn't know about the throat.
- 33:01SPEAKER_09: That's wow.
- 33:03SPEAKER_09: That's an interesting thing.
- 33:04SPEAKER_10: Is that something I should be worried about?
- 33:06SPEAKER_09: Well, mmm.
- 33:09SPEAKER_09: Well, we'll we'll we'll we'll talk more next time, Jeff.
- 33:11SPEAKER_09: And hey everybody, tune back into the next episode of the Stephen Jeff Podcast.
- 33:15SPEAKER_09: We'll see you then.
- 33:17SPEAKER_09: See you later.
