Today, we're going somewhere you'll definitely use: a restaurant. Luna: Oh, I love eating out. But ordering in Dutch can be a little scary. Lucas: Exactly. So we'll give you the key phrases. Let's start with the first thing you say when you walk in. Luna: Okay, hit me. Lucas: Ik wil graag een tafel voor twee. That means 'I would like a table for two.' Listen again: Ik wil graag een tafel voor twee. Luna: Ik wil graag een tafel voor twee. Lucas: Perfect. You said it slowly but that's fine. Now, after you sit, you need the menu. Luna: Right. How do I ask for that? Lucas: Mag ik de menukaart? 'May I have the menu?' Mag ik de menukaart? Luna: Mag ik de menukaart? That's a mouthful. Menukaart. Lucas: You got it. Now, when the waiter comes, you order. For example: Ik wil graag de pasta. 'I would like the pasta.' Ik wil graag de pasta. Luna: Ik wil graag de pasta. Lucas: Yes. And the waiter might ask: Wat wilt u drinken? 'What would you like to drink?' Wat wilt u drinken? Luna: Wat wilt u drinken? So I can say: Ik wil graag een cola. Lucas: Exactly. Ik wil graag een cola. Let's put it all together in a little scene. Luna: Let's do it. I'll be the customer. Lucas: Okay, I'm the waiter. Welkom, heeft u gereserveerd? Luna: Uh, Ik wil graag een tafel voor twee.
