- 0:03Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Let's go from a championship backfield to your morning drive.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Han'sday, Hester and Hester got it?
- 0:10Speaker 1: Five your locks in to off the bench.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Well, there's back control the.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Live from the Raising Kine studio. Here's Jacob Hesser and
- 0:23Speaker 1: Matt Flynn.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Yo, yo, we're missing two years this morning, guys. If
- 0:37Speaker 3: you're watching on YouTube, yes, that is an empty studio
- 0:40Speaker 3: with the host chairs of Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Tak Sharp here, Orlando Villarreal here as well. Elandro. You
- 0:46Speaker 2: ever do something.
- 0:48Speaker 3: You're excited about it, you show up early and you realize,
- 0:50Speaker 3: wait a minute, this is not actually taking place.
- 0:54Speaker 4: Happens all the time.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Well what happened today, guys?
- 0:57Speaker 3: We thought they were going to be on remote at
- 0:59Speaker 3: U Club for a golf tournament this morning. Then it
- 1:01Speaker 3: turns out there was no golf tournament. Now there is
- 1:04Speaker 3: a golf tournament. It doesn't start till noon, so they'll
- 1:07Speaker 3: be here in like ten minutes. They are currently just
- 1:09Speaker 3: en route. They left U Club after getting there at
- 1:12Speaker 3: like six forty. Now they're driving back, so they will
- 1:15Speaker 3: be here. You just got us for the first segment.
- 1:17Speaker 5: So I don't know if I fully trust Matt because
- 1:21Speaker 5: he said, let's throw to National and just go grab breakfast.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Jake is on, wait, yeah, we're not sure. Flynn may
- 1:28Speaker 3: not show.
- 1:28Speaker 4: You can't speak for Matt.
- 1:29Speaker 2: We we do not know.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Yet, but there's certainly a lot to talk about on
- 1:34Speaker 3: today's show.
- 1:36Speaker 2: We'll get to it.
- 1:36Speaker 3: First off, we'll get to the morning that Jacob Hesser
- 1:40Speaker 3: and Matt Feleinn had. I'm sure that'll be an interesting one.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Our guy Moose got a phone call from him going
- 1:45Speaker 3: through it.
- 1:46Speaker 4: I got a phone call from him. Oh, is he
- 1:48Speaker 4: just calling the whole entire building?
- 1:49Speaker 2: No.
- 1:50Speaker 3: I called him because he was telling me he couldn't
- 1:52Speaker 3: get internet. And I called him and I said, hey,
- 1:53Speaker 3: like we got the camera, we got the audio, Like
- 1:56Speaker 3: we can do it. And he was like, they already
- 1:58Speaker 3: called me and told me to pack up because he's
- 2:00Speaker 3: here anyways.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Which I get.
- 2:02Speaker 3: You don't want to start a show uninvited, quote unquote,
- 2:06Speaker 3: and then seven thirty everybody shows up. I was like,
- 2:08Speaker 3: how did you get in? I totally understand that, but
- 2:10Speaker 3: uh yeah, not the best start to the morning.
- 2:16Speaker 5: How this man called me this morning was like the
- 2:18Speaker 5: camera won't turn on. I don't know how to like
- 2:21Speaker 5: the camera's not turning on. I was like, I don't know.
- 2:22Speaker 5: I haven't had that issue yet. And then he facetimes
- 2:25Speaker 5: me and showed me what he was doing, and he
- 2:27Speaker 5: was hitting the record button and I said, well, first
- 2:30Speaker 5: of all, that's not the power button.
- 2:32Speaker 2: You gotta turn it on.
- 2:34Speaker 4: He said, where is the power button? I said, right
- 2:36Speaker 4: there where the power symbol.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Is to two big things about cameras, turn turn them on.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Lyn's cap. Yeah, those are kind of there's a kind
- 2:42Speaker 3: of the two mazing there two things.
- 2:43Speaker 4: The power is like very clearly labeled too.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Well, well we'll get that figured out. But uh yeah,
- 2:49Speaker 3: I had to wake up at four thirty. He just
- 2:51Speaker 3: turned around and went home.
- 2:52Speaker 4: So you better take a nap.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Look, you know, that's that's what happens. Sometimes you get
- 2:57Speaker 3: your wires crossed. But uh, Elandra, how we feel in
- 2:59Speaker 3: this morning?
- 3:01Speaker 4: Great? I think I whooped Pollend's butt.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I here, you're good.
- 3:06Speaker 4: I gave a can a butt whip.
- 3:07Speaker 2: You're good?
- 3:09Speaker 4: Yeah, o TV.
- 3:10Speaker 3: That's patented, by the way, anybody looking to steal that
- 3:13Speaker 3: patented a TV butt whip created by Lundra Villario. So
- 3:18Speaker 3: she gets most of the royalties. Me and Matt get
- 3:20Speaker 3: like two percent of each, just because we kind of
- 3:22Speaker 3: supported her.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Yes, but.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I uh so I'm selling my truck today.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Actually, oh yeah, and uh.
- 3:31Speaker 3: I have had to wash it three times because people
- 3:34Speaker 3: keep coming to look at it to try to buy it,
- 3:36Speaker 3: and every time I wash it, Uh, the pollen falls
- 3:38Speaker 3: right back on it. So uh, not great there, not
- 3:41Speaker 3: not great at all. I wanted to start this with
- 3:47Speaker 3: free agency, but we'll wait for Jake and Matt to
- 3:50Speaker 3: do all that.
- 3:51Speaker 4: Some big stuff going on there.
- 3:53Speaker 3: We got a baseball game tonight and I wanted to
- 3:55Speaker 3: get to it here because I I don't know how
- 3:57Speaker 3: much more in the rest of the show we're going
- 4:00Speaker 3: to get to. The Tigers will take on Creighton. This
- 4:03Speaker 3: is not a good Creighton team. Teams are batting three
- 4:06Speaker 3: hundred against what they do so so LSU actually uses
- 4:12Speaker 3: their field a lot. Dan Cannavery told me this yesterday.
- 4:16Speaker 3: LSU uses their field a lot to practice whenever they
- 4:19Speaker 3: go to the World Series. So big connection there between uh, Creighton,
- 4:23Speaker 3: the Blue Jays, and the Tigers. But it's one of
- 4:27Speaker 3: those games, right that you have to hit. I mean,
- 4:30Speaker 3: this has to be a Friday night Sacramento State game. Right,
- 4:34Speaker 3: I mean this has to be one of the ones
- 4:36Speaker 3: where you get out of your slump, because like, yes,
- 4:39Speaker 3: there's one or two guys in a slump, the whole
- 4:41Speaker 3: damn lineup is in a slump.
- 4:43Speaker 2: I mean that that's something we know, uh for sure.
- 4:45Speaker 3: I mean, if you've watched any of these games, your
- 4:47Speaker 3: pitching is going to be fine.
- 4:49Speaker 2: We know that.
- 4:49Speaker 3: I mean, your pitching really hasn't been the problem in
- 4:52Speaker 3: most of your losses. I mean, you've had one or
- 4:53Speaker 3: two bad outings, but for the most part, it's been there.
- 4:55Speaker 2: It's been the hitting. Elandro is there like maybe.
- 5:03Speaker 3: A sob in the line like somebody want to see
- 5:05Speaker 3: somebody want to take out like tonight, just to get
- 5:08Speaker 3: things going against Creighton.
- 5:09Speaker 2: What we gotta do?
- 5:11Speaker 5: So I don't know why, but I just really believe
- 5:14Speaker 5: in Well, first of all, I think you need to
- 5:16Speaker 5: keep Trent Carroway in the lineup, Like I you.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Can't not have to make sense.
- 5:21Speaker 5: Yeah, that that is one thing that I would love
- 5:24Speaker 5: to ask Jay about because I don't really get that one,
- 5:27Speaker 5: just because I feel like he's been pretty consistent in
- 5:30Speaker 5: the lineup when he's up there and I would like
- 5:34Speaker 5: this might be a hot take, but I would like
- 5:36Speaker 5: to see more of Omar Serna because I feel like
- 5:39Speaker 5: if you give him more reps, he does great behind
- 5:42Speaker 5: the plate, or I feel like behind the plate is
- 5:45Speaker 5: kind of you can do one or the other, like defensively,
- 5:50Speaker 5: but I feel like if he's in the lineup more
- 5:52Speaker 5: often offensively, he can get hot.
- 5:54Speaker 4: He's one of those that can get hot.
- 5:55Speaker 5: I think he has the highest exit velocity on the
- 5:58Speaker 5: team right now. So Omar Serna is somebody else that
- 6:02Speaker 5: I would like to see a little bit more of,
- 6:04Speaker 5: But you try. The care away thing is just puzzling
- 6:07Speaker 5: to me.
- 6:07Speaker 3: You and I were talking about it a little bit
- 6:09Speaker 3: after the show off air yesterday. Did we overestimate the
- 6:14Speaker 3: catcher position at LSU coming into the season, Because like
- 6:17Speaker 3: everybody's like, Oh, you have Aaron Beady, he's going to
- 6:19Speaker 3: take the next step, and you have Omar Cerna coming
- 6:21Speaker 3: in that everybody was super hyped about.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Aaron bead struggled offensively and defensively.
- 6:26Speaker 3: She just mentioned no more SNA and it's like, yeah,
- 6:28Speaker 3: that's certainly an option. And then it's like he's betten
- 6:32Speaker 3: two hundred right now. Now it's to her point, like
- 6:34Speaker 3: with more wraps. Sure, but it's like, did we kind
- 6:37Speaker 3: of overvalue that spot because coming in I felt really
- 6:41Speaker 3: good about the catcher position. Right now it's kind of
- 6:43Speaker 3: one of your biggest weaknesses. So that's something certainly to
- 6:46Speaker 3: keep an eye out on for tonight.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Six point thirty.
- 6:51Speaker 3: First pitch out at the box, lsu versus Creighton excited
- 6:56Speaker 3: to just move this thing in the right direction. This
- 6:58Speaker 3: is your last tune up game, this is it our
- 7:00Speaker 3: sec play, and you're on the road right at Vanderbilt.
- 7:03Speaker 4: Yeah, at Vandy. Also, I just a side note.
- 7:05Speaker 5: I did the Jay Johnson Show last night and he
- 7:08Speaker 5: was talking about, like, we all want Chris Stanfield back,
- 7:11Speaker 5: right He went full swing yesterday for the first time,
- 7:15Speaker 5: and he said that we're probably gonna start seeing him
- 7:18Speaker 5: like in a like a little bit, just kind of
- 7:21Speaker 5: working his way back a little bit.
- 7:22Speaker 4: And how do you need him?
- 7:26Speaker 5: Jay was just very much like, stick with this team
- 7:28Speaker 5: because you know, it's.
- 7:31Speaker 4: A long season.
- 7:32Speaker 5: And I I said this yesterday and I still kind
- 7:35Speaker 5: of believe in this team. I think we have the
- 7:36Speaker 5: right pieces, just kind of cold right now, and that's
- 7:40Speaker 5: just kind of how baseball is sometimes it is a
- 7:42Speaker 5: little alarming.
- 7:43Speaker 4: That they're all cold, But I don't know.
- 7:47Speaker 5: I don't want to fully give up on them, but I,
- 7:49Speaker 5: like I said yesterday, it's hard to say anything about positive,
- 7:51Speaker 5: anything positive until they do something positive.
- 7:54Speaker 4: But I believe they will at some point.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Like we were talking about it yesterday, it's funny, like
- 7:58Speaker 3: you could see unless you fans want to panic, Yeah,
- 8:00Speaker 3: but they know better with j Johnson, And like what
- 8:02Speaker 3: was brought up yesterday, Oh, this is the worst record
- 8:05Speaker 3: you've had before conference play since two thousand and seven,
- 8:08Speaker 3: which is before like Manary's first year here essentially. But
- 8:11Speaker 3: people need to realize that team went on a little
- 8:14Speaker 3: bit of a run, they made a regional and Jay
- 8:16Speaker 3: Johnson squad this year is a heck of a lot
- 8:18Speaker 3: more talented than that twenty and seven team. So you're
- 8:21Speaker 3: not out of it. You haven't even started SEC play yet.
- 8:24Speaker 3: When was it it was it was twenty four in
- 8:27Speaker 3: between the two Natties. Remember you started like three and
- 8:30Speaker 3: twelve an SEC play, You made a regional, almost won it,
- 8:33Speaker 3: probably should have won it, honestly, and you pitch away. Yeah,
- 8:38Speaker 3: and you would have hosted a super regional in bat
- 8:40Speaker 3: Rouge if you win that series and then hell you
- 8:43Speaker 3: got the advantage, maybe you're right back into Omaha. Like
- 8:45Speaker 3: that team. I think it was three and twelve that
- 8:47Speaker 3: they started an SEC play. Think you're gonna be fine?
- 8:52Speaker 3: Is this team gonna win a Natty?
- 8:53Speaker 2: We don't know.
- 8:54Speaker 3: It's way too early in the season. But they're a
- 8:56Speaker 3: heck of a lot better than they're playing now. Like
- 8:58Speaker 3: to your point, I don't like I'm all being cold
- 9:00Speaker 3: at the same time. The good news is maybe they
- 9:03Speaker 3: all get out of their slump at the same time.
- 9:04Speaker 3: I mean, it can't be a whole lot worse. And
- 9:06Speaker 3: about Chris Stanfield, it was. It was the Sunday game.
- 9:11Speaker 3: A ball goes over Mason Brawn's head and Mason Brown
- 9:14Speaker 3: was pretty deep in the outfield. Mason Brown's more of
- 9:16Speaker 3: a first baseman, Like I understand he could play both,
- 9:18Speaker 3: but coming out of high school, Mason Brown was a
- 9:20Speaker 3: number one first baseman in the country. Like, he's a
- 9:22Speaker 3: lot more comfortable there. Stanfield makes that play. If he does,
- 9:27Speaker 3: who knows how far William Schmid actually goes in that
- 9:29Speaker 3: game because he keeps his pitch count a lot lower.
- 9:31Speaker 3: There was a couple throwing errors in that game. That
- 9:34Speaker 3: helps Gavin Gidrey out a little bit. You had opportunities
- 9:37Speaker 3: to win that game and you just didn't do it.
- 9:39Speaker 3: I think tonight hopefully LSU turns to this thing around
- 9:43Speaker 3: now hand up. I was the one that was like,
- 9:47Speaker 3: oh yeah, the ULL pitching staff's really good, but they've
- 9:49Speaker 3: given up fourteen homers in twelve games. You're gonna turn
- 9:52Speaker 3: this thing around. And it didn't happen last week.
- 9:54Speaker 4: But it's okay. I said we were gonna sweep Sacramento State.
- 9:56Speaker 2: That's fine.
- 9:57Speaker 3: Look, look a lot of a lot of hot baseball
- 9:59Speaker 3: takes this week apparently.
- 10:00Speaker 4: I mean, you should have swept Sacramento State to be fair.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Right, and you should like it's it's it's not hot takes.
- 10:07Speaker 3: It's just well they were wrong back of it. But
- 10:10Speaker 3: they SAYND did good at the time. That's what matters
- 10:13Speaker 3: the most. Okay again, Taylor Sharp here a Laandravilla Reale.
- 10:17Speaker 3: If you don't hear Jake and Matt they are en route.
- 10:20Speaker 3: They had to go to U Club for an early
- 10:21Speaker 3: morning golf tournament that no, it's not that far did
- 10:25Speaker 3: not occur. So they're on the way that will be
- 10:28Speaker 3: here next five or ten minutes or so. So, uh,
- 10:31Speaker 3: what we'll do now, We'll take a break. Hopefully they
- 10:33Speaker 3: get here during break. If not, we'll get this show started.
- 10:36Speaker 3: On the other side, we'll talk to the Saints Free agency. Next,
- 10:38Speaker 3: you're on Off the bench.

- 12:30Speaker 1: Off the bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn, presented
- 12:33Speaker 1: by Community Steel.
- 12:41Speaker 2: You welcome, inn. We made it.
- 12:44Speaker 4: We got both of them.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Actually I made it first somehow for you. What a morning?
- 12:53Speaker 2: Good morning everybody. Andrew Taylor, thanks for rolling it down right.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Did something happened? No, what happened? I blacked out this
- 13:01Speaker 2: How I got about thirty eight miles on the vehicle
- 13:03Speaker 2: this morning? See?
- 13:06Speaker 6: Can we expence miles if there's a mistake in the scheduling?
- 13:10Speaker 2: I think we should.
- 13:12Speaker 4: You should.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Well, we made it.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Be like, hey, man, I'm gonna need like ten bucks.
- 13:21Speaker 2: You just slide me that.
- 13:23Speaker 6: Yeah, just give me a receipt. Nah, the schedule right,
- 13:28Speaker 6: I don't need a receipt. There was a apologize for
- 13:35Speaker 6: being a segment late.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Here.
- 13:37Speaker 6: We were all four of us in the foxhole under
- 13:39Speaker 6: the understanding that we would be live from U Club.
- 13:46Speaker 2: For a little golf attorney. Well, we get there and
- 13:50Speaker 2: I'm walking this dark in the parking lot, and I'm
- 13:52Speaker 2: walking around trying to figure out where I'm going. I
- 13:55Speaker 2: walk up to the main clubhouse. No one's there. Everyone's
- 13:59Speaker 2: looking at me. Funny.
- 14:00Speaker 6: I look outside, like trying to look towards the eighteenth
- 14:03Speaker 6: Green to like see if I can see anything, and all,
- 14:06Speaker 6: all of a sudden, I hear this faint voice just
- 14:09Speaker 6: yelling in the distance.
- 14:12Speaker 2: It was Muso Muso from the pro shop little outhouse.
- 14:19Speaker 2: It's like fifty sixty yards away from the main pro shop.
- 14:22Speaker 2: I hear him.
- 14:22Speaker 6: I'm like, oh, that's exactly where I need to go. Well,
- 14:26Speaker 6: he's yelling at this early in the morning, but he's
- 14:29Speaker 6: yelling some sweet nothing.
- 14:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't matter how early it is.
- 14:33Speaker 6: Right, if it wasn't for his yelling, I wouldn't have
- 14:35Speaker 6: found him. And then I got the call. I was like,
- 14:40Speaker 6: I was looked around. There was no golf carts lined up.
- 14:43Speaker 6: Usually in a golf tournament there's a lineup of golf carts. Well,
- 14:48Speaker 6: not this one. This wasn't happening. Not their fault, Not
- 14:53Speaker 6: their fault.
- 14:55Speaker 2: No. Typically when we do that tournament, the tournament's still
- 14:58Speaker 2: at eleven thirty. We just do the the show and
- 15:01Speaker 2: then people start showing up as like the last hour
- 15:04Speaker 2: of the show, getting everything ready, So I don't think
- 15:08Speaker 2: the time was wrong and things just move screwed it up? Yeah, sure.
- 15:14Speaker 4: Well there's also no one there.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Right, nobody's ever there when we start.
- 15:17Speaker 5: So like there's like nobody liked lets you in the
- 15:21Speaker 5: building or anything that was outside?
- 15:23Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we sit outside. It's usually me, Bo Weggman
- 15:26Speaker 2: and t Bob for two hours. Yeah, I mean even
- 15:30Speaker 2: even that third hour, that'd be tough. It's a shotgun
- 15:32Speaker 2: start at twelve thirty. Yeah, people start to get there,
- 15:34Speaker 2: set up and uh, Coach Andy typically like would come
- 15:38Speaker 2: on and talk about you high and.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Gollare forgetting Look we're burying the lead here.
- 15:44Speaker 2: That's one me. You guys get to test off the
- 15:46Speaker 2: brand new golf buttons. Yeah, we got pictures of those yesterday.
- 15:51Speaker 2: They look much bigger in the picture.
- 15:54Speaker 3: I like that they're smaller though, because the other ones
- 15:56Speaker 3: were very petio Yes for screen.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Size. Don't matter, it matter, guys, this is work. Hello, Hello, Hello,
- 16:08Speaker 2: hell like that. There's no wires hanging out, no screws
- 16:13Speaker 2: hanging out. It's not the size of the Titanic.
- 16:16Speaker 4: It's not an ocean violation.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I like this.
- 16:20Speaker 6: Hey, for all of y'all listening that live in University Club,
- 16:25Speaker 6: I just want to say, leaving there right before seven am,
- 16:29Speaker 6: it's something absolutely electric.
- 16:32Speaker 2: It's hard to even pulling out of my I'm the
- 16:34Speaker 2: neighborhood next to it. It's even hard pulling out of
- 16:36Speaker 2: my neighborhood because of the people leaving there. You have
- 16:39Speaker 2: to when I say be aggressive, it's almost like I'm
- 16:42Speaker 2: going to get rear ended every day. It's I'm exciting.
- 16:45Speaker 6: Yeah, it was easy leaving. There's a police escort there
- 16:49Speaker 6: stopping traffic.
- 16:51Speaker 2: You see people pulling out in my neighborhood, and like,
- 16:56Speaker 2: you know, I didn't even notice.
- 16:59Speaker 6: I just figured that you were in front of me somewhere,
- 17:01Speaker 6: but you weren't where you just stop somewhere.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Get a donut now on you donuts? All right, my bad, kidding, delicious,
- 17:11Speaker 2: all right, dunkers here we kidding. Jenning's Dunker whatever your
- 17:14Speaker 2: name is. I know we can't get his name right,
- 17:16Speaker 2: never will. Yeah. Hello, they's were underwhelming. I was expecting,
- 17:23Speaker 2: like some exciting yos. It was more Ron Burgundy yo's,
- 17:26Speaker 2: but it wasn't. It wasn't with conviction because they felt
- 17:30Speaker 2: bad that we weren't here.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Well, my my Ron Burgundy was intentional. It was wondering
- 17:36Speaker 3: where you guys were.
- 17:38Speaker 2: We're here.
- 17:39Speaker 4: It felt weird yelling with two people. That's not really
- 17:42Speaker 4: a waterfalls.
- 17:44Speaker 2: It's just me and laundry yelling back and forth at
- 17:46Speaker 2: each other.
- 17:47Speaker 4: We should have done yeah.
- 17:50Speaker 2: See, that had been electric, would have been good. People
- 17:53Speaker 2: were like, what the hell is going on in the studio?
- 17:55Speaker 2: I know, I know, all right, so we are here.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Shout out to community. Still glad had them back on
- 18:02Speaker 2: the squad bringing you checks the watch Tuesday show every
- 18:07Speaker 2: single week. I don't know. Days are hard. We have
- 18:10Speaker 2: the same shirt on again, the same brand. Oh okay,
- 18:14Speaker 2: I'm the same brand. Yeah, but it does look the same,
- 18:20Speaker 2: like yellow backgrounds. Yeah, T shirt. I hate the rolled
- 18:25Speaker 2: up bad day to be that hates to see they do.
- 18:29Speaker 2: How are actual shorts today? Because I thought I was
- 18:31Speaker 2: going to a country.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Club to chill out with the quads of this early
- 18:37Speaker 3: in the morning.
- 18:37Speaker 2: You got it, you know what I mean? Used to
- 18:41Speaker 2: have a profile on YouTube. His thighs, his white, he
- 18:46Speaker 2: had dies. He had me. Yeah, I'm short shorts, you know? Yeah?
- 18:52Speaker 2: When is that again? Into this month? We're like two
- 18:56Speaker 2: and a half weeks out. What day you not to
- 19:00Speaker 2: be here again?
- 19:01Speaker 4: That Friday or Thursday? Right, I don't know.
- 19:04Speaker 2: I will definitely not be here the Friday three weeks
- 19:07Speaker 2: from now. That feels like he's setting it up like
- 19:09Speaker 2: he's gonna be here at the other days. I gotta
- 19:12Speaker 2: warm up. I'm definitely not gonna be here on this
- 19:14Speaker 2: one day. Prep.
- 19:15Speaker 5: You got to go get accustomed because you're traveling, right.
- 19:18Speaker 4: You got to get your body right.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:20Speaker 3: I got three hours work Monday and then you're done.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Yeah, work Monday, maybe half day. Acclimated to that climate.
- 19:33Speaker 2: I tell you, I get you the time change. You know,
- 19:38Speaker 2: I understand that it's at the end of the side
- 19:40Speaker 2: of the border. It's wait, hold on, it's at the
- 19:42Speaker 2: end of this month. Yeah, yeah, dude, that might be
- 19:45Speaker 2: at league meetings the end of this month. I don't
- 19:48Speaker 2: even know what that means, owner's meetings NFL. All right,
- 19:54Speaker 2: where that all the hair coaches take the picture together.
- 19:58Speaker 2: You've seen that, we've you've broken it down before. I
- 20:01Speaker 2: don't really think you'd need to go to that. If
- 20:04Speaker 2: I'm being completely honest with you, what was that because
- 20:06Speaker 2: you were just with all the coaches talk about repetitive.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Now now see owners though they were there too, not
- 20:14Speaker 2: all of them. In fact, I don't think like, yeah,
- 20:17Speaker 2: some owners were there. Jerry was definitely there. We didn't
- 20:19Speaker 2: see them though. He sent his son Stephen Jones. He's
- 20:22Speaker 2: just a co owner. It was a good combo.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Though.
- 20:27Speaker 2: What percentage do you think Steven owns right now?
- 20:30Speaker 3: Whatever Jerry allows, Yeah, it's like his weekly allowance. If
- 20:34Speaker 3: he's good, he gets a one percent more.
- 20:36Speaker 6: Every time he gets a good pick ride in the
- 20:38Speaker 6: draft he gets a half percent. Well, if it was
- 20:43Speaker 6: up to Landra, he'd have one hundred percent right.
- 20:45Speaker 4: Now, right, He survived my bold prediction.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Who did Jerry he was gonna pass away?
- 20:52Speaker 5: Yeah, which, okay, I don't know if I was going
- 20:55Speaker 5: to bring this up.
- 20:57Speaker 4: But when was it? Fried? When did lou Holtz die?
- 21:00Speaker 2: Thursday? And we talked about it, Freda.
- 21:03Speaker 5: So he died Thursday, right Thursday morning, before the news
- 21:07Speaker 5: broke that he died. I was upstairs in Chris Marler's
- 21:10Speaker 5: office and he said something about lou Holtz, and I said,
- 21:14Speaker 5: isn't he dead? He had not yet died, oh Man,
- 21:18Speaker 5: Literally two hours later.
- 21:20Speaker 4: Lou Holtz has passed away.
- 21:22Speaker 5: Oh man, so Jerry really survived, So like, yeah, really.
- 21:27Speaker 2: The grim Reaper.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Are you going to get in trouble for this maybe?
- 21:32Speaker 5: And then you know how we did the baby picture thing,
- 21:34Speaker 5: the trend with the baby picture and it was like,
- 21:36Speaker 5: this is who you're listening to on one of four
- 21:38Speaker 5: five escare or whatever. So he sent me one and
- 21:41Speaker 5: it was like my baby picture and it was like,
- 21:46Speaker 5: this is who killed Lou Holtz.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Jesus teets.
- 21:52Speaker 4: I didn't do it, guys.
- 21:54Speaker 2: The man was just trying to pop off these I just.
- 21:56Speaker 4: Thought that I had already seen were news that he did.
- 21:59Speaker 2: You were here when we played his newspapers.
- 22:01Speaker 4: Yeah, the newspaper name blew my mind.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Oh yeah, incredible.
- 22:06Speaker 3: In fairness to her, I called my dad Thursday and
- 22:09Speaker 3: I was like, hey, Lou Holds died, and my dad goes.
- 22:12Speaker 2: I thought I saw that he got like five years ago.
- 22:16Speaker 4: I swore I saw reports like not that long.
- 22:19Speaker 3: So he actually he actually had the exact same responses you.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm I'm gonna back y'all up.
- 22:24Speaker 4: You thought he did too.
- 22:25Speaker 2: I wouldn't have been surprised if I found that he
- 22:27Speaker 2: was all right, A right.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I text my dad. I said, hey, we all
- 22:30Speaker 3: passed away, and he goes, oh, that's terrible. And then
- 22:32Speaker 3: I got another text and he's like, I feel like.
- 22:34Speaker 2: This already happened. Yeah, all right, guys are insensitive. So
- 22:39Speaker 2: here's what we're gonna do. All right, because we're a
- 22:42Speaker 2: little off this morning, we're a different location, we'll take
- 22:46Speaker 2: a break, we'll come back get it started. Free Agency News.

- 26:20Speaker 2: defeated it yesterday, but everybody's as strong, you.
- 26:22Speaker 6: Know, yeah mentally mentally. If you can't beat it mentally,
- 26:25Speaker 6: go get you an IV. Get hydrated, get vitamized. Right there,
- 26:27Speaker 6: go flow IV if.
- 26:28Speaker 4: You're not built different, that's right, or no, go flow
- 26:33Speaker 4: go to both.
- 26:37Speaker 2: All right? Or that could have been a love worse
- 26:40Speaker 2: he could have been. Actually yeah, yeah, shout out to uh.
- 26:43Speaker 2: The New Orleans Saints made a big splash yesterday in
- 26:47Speaker 2: free agency, so look shout out to Mickey Loomis as
- 26:50Speaker 2: much as much as like when he doesn't make moves,
- 26:53Speaker 2: like we give him a hard time, like you gotta
- 26:55Speaker 2: get him some praise for what he did yesterday, certainly,
- 26:59Speaker 2: and you know you're sit situation in the interior of
- 27:01Speaker 2: your offensive line is bad when like collectively the entire
- 27:05Speaker 2: fan base celebrates the hell out of you signing a
- 27:08Speaker 2: guard like they you know what I'm saying, Like typically
- 27:12Speaker 2: like you'll sign a guard and a casual fans not
- 27:15Speaker 2: gonna know who a guard is and be like, oh,
- 27:17Speaker 2: we got signed a guard. The news came across the
- 27:20Speaker 2: wire that the Saints signed David Edwards from Buffalo, and
- 27:24Speaker 2: it was the biggest celebration on social media for the
- 27:27Speaker 2: Saints in and offseason in a long time. Yeah, I
- 27:30Speaker 2: think they probably realized that we weren't going to take
- 27:32Speaker 2: him at the eighth pick. Now, right, we've taken that
- 27:36Speaker 2: decision out of his hands. Now we take him. But
- 27:39Speaker 2: that's what happens.
- 27:40Speaker 6: When you have a season of really poor interior offensive
- 27:44Speaker 6: line plays and so you sign somebody that is.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Proven to be a really good place. He's the best
- 27:53Speaker 2: guard on the free agent market this year. How many
- 27:56Speaker 2: times have we come on here and talk about the
- 27:58Speaker 2: Pro Football Focus grades for season Ruiz or whoever was
- 28:01Speaker 2: playing the other guard. This was somebody that graded it
- 28:03Speaker 2: out for the entire year at seventy four percent. Like
- 28:07Speaker 2: if they would have gotten that grade in any game,
- 28:09Speaker 2: we would have been excited. He had games where he
- 28:11Speaker 2: graded out in the nineties. When you look at what
- 28:14Speaker 2: he was able to do this season, all right, So
- 28:17Speaker 2: he was in the eighty third percentile and pass blocking
- 28:19Speaker 2: win rate in the eighty six percent out and run
- 28:22Speaker 2: block win rate. So he's not a one trick pony either.
- 28:25Speaker 2: This is an outstanding signing by the New Orleans Saints.
- 28:28Speaker 2: And Edwards is only twenty nine years old, just going
- 28:32Speaker 2: to turn twenty nine like this month. This is still
- 28:34Speaker 2: a young football player. You got him at just over
- 28:37Speaker 2: fifteen million dollars per year, which that feels like a
- 28:40Speaker 2: pretty good bargain considering he was the best guard on
- 28:44Speaker 2: the free agent market four years sixty one million dollars
- 28:48Speaker 2: and you had to have it, like, you had to
- 28:51Speaker 2: have help in the interior of your offensive line. It
- 28:54Speaker 2: was poor at best a year ago and really in
- 28:58Speaker 2: the last couple of years. So I think this is
- 29:00Speaker 2: a great move. It really solidifies what you've done at
- 29:04Speaker 2: tackle with your two young tackles. You love Eric McCoy.
- 29:07Speaker 2: If he can stay healthy, now you have an offensive
- 29:10Speaker 2: line that can protect a young quarterback and can also
- 29:14Speaker 2: help in the run game, right, because, oh yeah, you
- 29:17Speaker 2: made a big signing in the run game as well.
- 29:19Speaker 2: You bring etn Over from Jacksonville. That's a big get.
- 29:24Speaker 2: But it wasn't just in pass protection. You needed help
- 29:26Speaker 2: in the run game and protecting your quarterback. And so
- 29:29Speaker 2: you go get a running back that we'll get to.
- 29:33Speaker 2: But as you can tell, we're pretty excited about the
- 29:35Speaker 2: guard signing here because of how poor it was a
- 29:37Speaker 2: year ago.
- 29:38Speaker 6: Yeah, and you talk about the money too. I mean
- 29:40Speaker 6: you kind of perks people's ears up when you say
- 29:43Speaker 6: that a guard interior offensive lineman getting fifteen is quite
- 29:46Speaker 6: the deal. And I look up the you know, the
- 29:48Speaker 6: top five interior offensive linemen are getting twenty three and
- 29:52Speaker 6: a half, twenty one, twenty and they hover around that
- 29:55Speaker 6: twenty million dollars a year mark. So for the Saints,
- 30:01Speaker 6: and of course they have to secure that offensive line
- 30:04Speaker 6: because you going into your second year with your offensive
- 30:07Speaker 6: minded head coach. You're going into your second year with
- 30:09Speaker 6: your you know, hopefully franchised quarterback for a long long time,
- 30:14Speaker 6: and when you try to install offense, when you're trying
- 30:18Speaker 6: to do different things, you have to have good offensive
- 30:21Speaker 6: line play or it really takes down what you can
- 30:25Speaker 6: try to do as an offensive play caller, as an
- 30:28Speaker 6: offensive coordinator, installing plays if you have to, if you
- 30:32Speaker 6: have to all it's kind of like running a defense
- 30:34Speaker 6: when you have bad corners.
- 30:36Speaker 2: It's like what do I call here?
- 30:38Speaker 6: There's so there's a certain amount of plays I can't
- 30:41Speaker 6: call defensively in certain situations because I don't trust my corners.
- 30:44Speaker 2: It's the same way of like developing or building a
- 30:47Speaker 2: game plan.
- 30:49Speaker 6: There's only there's so many there's there's I got all
- 30:52Speaker 6: these plays that I want to put in, but like
- 30:54Speaker 6: I'm so worried about my offensive line play, I can't
- 30:56Speaker 6: do it. So if you secure that, not only do
- 30:59Speaker 6: you do you help the players on the field, do
- 31:02Speaker 6: you help your quarterback, you're running back, you help everybody,
- 31:04Speaker 6: but you help your offensive designers, you help your your
- 31:07Speaker 6: new head coach design more plays, you help your offensive coordinate,
- 31:10Speaker 6: your play callege. You help all of that be better.
- 31:13Speaker 6: So hopefully this continues. This is not just like one
- 31:17Speaker 6: like let's get some more. Yeah, we need more. And
- 31:20Speaker 6: I'm sure the offensive line is going to be a
- 31:22Speaker 6: position that they address in the draft as well.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Now what kind of.
- 31:26Speaker 6: Immediate need can can that have a kind of guy
- 31:30Speaker 6: in the draft, because I don't We're hoping it's not
- 31:32Speaker 6: a first or second rounder, but maybe mid rounds you
- 31:35Speaker 6: take somebody else.
- 31:35Speaker 2: So we'll see.
- 31:36Speaker 6: But obviously David Edward is going to make an immediate
- 31:38Speaker 6: positive impact on that offensive line.
- 31:40Speaker 2: And he is going to be blocking for your new
- 31:43Speaker 2: running back. Travis dtn JR. Het In is somebody that
- 31:47Speaker 2: is from Louisiana and so a lot of us have
- 31:50Speaker 2: watched him play when he was in high school and
- 31:53Speaker 2: very talented family, great bloodline there obviously with his brother
- 31:56Speaker 2: Trevor ETM. But this is a player that really raised
- 32:00Speaker 2: his level of play a year ago. He did it
- 32:03Speaker 2: on the ground and through the air. He also did
- 32:05Speaker 2: it in pass protection. I thought he was really good
- 32:09Speaker 2: in pass protection, which look, I love AK, but he's
- 32:11Speaker 2: never been great in pass protection. It's always kind of
- 32:14Speaker 2: been the part of his game that was probably the
- 32:17Speaker 2: one that stood out the most as far as needed improvement.
- 32:20Speaker 2: Travistn is somebody that pretty good. So he's going to
- 32:24Speaker 2: give me an upgrade there. I don't. Look what happens
- 32:27Speaker 2: with Ak, We'll see. I don't obviously, I don't expect
- 32:31Speaker 2: both these players to be on team. If they are
- 32:33Speaker 2: and the Saints have a plan, okay, but you upgraded
- 32:37Speaker 2: at the running back position. This is somebody that was
- 32:40Speaker 2: thriving a year ago. He was above all projections last
- 32:45Speaker 2: year over thirty five catches. I think he had six
- 32:49Speaker 2: receiving touchdowns. And you don't pay look running back money
- 32:54Speaker 2: is It's funny because a lot of people like don't
- 32:56Speaker 2: like throwing money at running backs. He's like, oh, you
- 32:58Speaker 2: can get one in the fourth round, get you that production.
- 33:01Speaker 2: The Saints have tried that a couple of times. They
- 33:03Speaker 2: needed to go make a splash at the running back position.
- 33:06Speaker 2: You had to run the football better. You had to
- 33:08Speaker 2: protect the quarterback better at the running back position. You
- 33:11Speaker 2: signing for four years.
- 33:12Speaker 6: Fifteen millionaire, you're paying more for your guard than you're
- 33:15Speaker 6: running back.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's under the franchise tag number for running backs.
- 33:18Speaker 2: That's like around fourteen and some change. Right.
- 33:21Speaker 6: Damn, I didn't realize that's under the franchise tag amount,
- 33:24Speaker 6: which is that's a heck of a deal. Yeah, I
- 33:26Speaker 6: forgot that's you know, he's certainly a veteran, but certainly
- 33:29Speaker 6: he's still on his prime. He's one of the top
- 33:32Speaker 6: certainly a good fantasy pick, certainly a top touchdown getting
- 33:35Speaker 6: like he's a touchdown getter, smells the end zone, has
- 33:39Speaker 6: been such a great player for a long time.
- 33:44Speaker 2: I mean, I wonder how much that played in the
- 33:47Speaker 2: decision making for him a lot, because I saw him talk.
- 33:50Speaker 6: I assume that this team that he's wearing the uniform
- 33:53Speaker 6: on was trying to get him back, yeah, because he
- 33:55Speaker 6: was an important piece to their to their offensive success
- 33:58Speaker 6: this year.
- 33:59Speaker 2: And we'll see what happened with the Saints backfield as
- 34:01Speaker 2: far as who they keep, who they let go, who
- 34:02Speaker 2: they try to move on from. But obviously, when you
- 34:05Speaker 2: signed Travis etn to. You know, fifty plus million dollar contract.
- 34:08Speaker 2: He is going to be the guy, but you needed
- 34:11Speaker 2: to upgrade. Now. If you do keep Alvin Kamara and
- 34:16Speaker 2: you come up with the right game plan, I mean
- 34:17Speaker 2: AK can be deadly in the passing game. Like, there's
- 34:20Speaker 2: ways to keep both of them. We don't know what
- 34:21Speaker 2: they're going to do, but this is somebody. Because the
- 34:24Speaker 2: Saints ranked twenty third in run block win rate and
- 34:28Speaker 2: thirtieth in yards before contact per carry last season, so
- 34:33Speaker 2: you had to improve the running back position and the
- 34:35Speaker 2: guys in front of the running back and you did
- 34:37Speaker 2: that yesterday. And it certainly feels as if this is.
- 34:44Speaker 6: This is a signing to replace Alvin Kamara. It certainly
- 34:47Speaker 6: feels that way. There's clearly a changing of the guard
- 34:51Speaker 6: with the New Orleans Saints. They have made a move.
- 34:54Speaker 6: You see it with the two veterans on defense. What's
- 34:58Speaker 6: happened with them and what is happening and that's that
- 35:03Speaker 6: same guy on offense as Alvin Kamar been there a
- 35:05Speaker 6: long time, been very loyal, has loved it, has been
- 35:07Speaker 6: loved and I'm sure the Saints won him there forever
- 35:11Speaker 6: and want to retire as a Saint. But like they
- 35:15Speaker 6: also probably realized that we kind of lost his fastball
- 35:19Speaker 6: when it comes so the things that he used to
- 35:21Speaker 6: do Now, is he still good compared to a lot
- 35:23Speaker 6: of people, Yeah, he is, but he's not the same
- 35:25Speaker 6: Alvin Kamara that he once was. So it certainly feels
- 35:28Speaker 6: like a guy that has maybe a little extra speed
- 35:32Speaker 6: and a step it can do, can do the things
- 35:34Speaker 6: that Kamara used to do for you. Yeah, but maybe
- 35:37Speaker 6: Kamara does. Maybe he proves wrong, maybe there's something maybe
- 35:40Speaker 6: he's maybe he was working through ankle stuff or foots
- 35:42Speaker 6: like whatever it was this past year that we've never
- 35:44Speaker 6: really heard about. You never really know how the body's feeling.
- 35:48Speaker 6: Never really know how an off season is going to
- 35:50Speaker 6: treat a player. Maybe he has maybe changes something in
- 35:53Speaker 6: the off season it feels great the next year.
- 35:55Speaker 2: You just never really know.
- 35:56Speaker 6: Well, he would love to have Alan Kamara back now
- 35:58Speaker 6: with this move, does he want to be back?
- 36:00Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 36:01Speaker 6: He's kind of said he wants to stay here forever,
- 36:03Speaker 6: like he's he's signed team friendly deals and even at
- 36:06Speaker 6: a point where I was screaming like go somewhere else,
- 36:09Speaker 6: like if you love something, said it free. Yeah, I
- 36:14Speaker 6: don't know. We'll see, but it certainly feels like that
- 36:18Speaker 6: it's a move to replace. I don't know, how do
- 36:21Speaker 6: you feel about Etn his gate?
- 36:27Speaker 2: His gate's pretty good. I know there's something that questioned
- 36:30Speaker 2: his gate back in high school recruiting.
- 36:31Speaker 6: Yeah, maybe coach at l L s U maybe questioned
- 36:34Speaker 6: his gate. Didn't recruit him as hard as they should.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Have, said they had a bad gate, bad game. Didn't
- 36:38Speaker 2: like his gate in high school. Yeah, I thought it
- 36:41Speaker 2: was pretty good. The gate's fine. Yeah, thirteen million dollars
- 36:46Speaker 2: a year now to play running back. Yeah, decent gate. Anyway,
- 36:52Speaker 2: Just you're not following. That's what l she thought of him.
- 36:56Speaker 3: Well, keep seeing, people say, keep seeing be et and
- 37:01Speaker 3: he has a lot of carries. He's been like Traves.
- 37:04Speaker 3: Etn has missed two games total in four years of
- 37:07Speaker 3: being in the NFL at the running back position.
- 37:10Speaker 2: He's been remarkably healthy.
- 37:11Speaker 3: So all these all this talk about, oh he's got
- 37:13Speaker 3: all this tread on the tires, not all treads equal.
- 37:16Speaker 2: I mean, he has been very, very healthy. Yeah, I
- 37:20Speaker 2: think it's a good move. I think the Saints made
- 37:21Speaker 2: a couple of great moves. Now that the Saints did
- 37:23Speaker 2: lose some players in free agency as well. So we'll
- 37:28Speaker 2: step away and when we come back, we'll give you
- 37:30Speaker 2: all the guys that aren't going to be in a
- 37:33Speaker 2: Saints uniform moving forward, including well one of your absolute favorites,
- 37:38Speaker 2: and we'll have that for you when we jump back
- 37:39Speaker 2: here on OTV. Off the bench, all right, It is
- 37:43Speaker 2: always a great time to go for dose. Like if
- 37:47Speaker 2: you're at a golf tournament and you're in the golf
- 37:50Speaker 2: cart and just enjoying a nice sunny day and you
- 37:55Speaker 2: want to relax, and you know in between, yeah, enjoys
- 38:03Speaker 2: or two there, that's a great time. You know, baseball tailgates,
- 38:07Speaker 2: that's a great time. End game, or if you're just
- 38:11Speaker 2: at home kicking your feet up, relaxing, that's also a
- 38:14Speaker 2: great time. A lot of different options to choose from there,
- 38:17Speaker 2: Like you see the Lime and Salt zero. If you're
- 38:19Speaker 2: watching us on YouTube, there a lot of different options.
- 38:21Speaker 2: I think Matt's gonna tell you go to the website. Fine,
- 38:24Speaker 2: all those options, go for dose and do skeys dot Com?
- 38:28Speaker 6: Yeah, does dot Com go for dose? Those interesting man
- 38:31Speaker 6: in the world.
- 38:32Speaker 2: He's back. He is stay. So if you're gonna do it,
- 38:35Speaker 2: make sure you're doing it with the best beer. Do
- 38:36Speaker 2: it responsible. If you're gonna drink, drink responsibly, of course,
- 38:39Speaker 2: but do that delicioushighce called Mexican lager, that amber especially,
- 38:42Speaker 2: whatever it is, make sure you're doing it. Go for Dose.
- 39:15Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn, presented
- 39:18Speaker 1: by Community Steel.
- 39:34Speaker 2: All Right, welcome back in O t B. Here live
- 39:37Speaker 2: from the Raising Kine Studio. Our Tuesday shows brought to
- 39:39Speaker 2: you by Community Steel, Building Sheeting and Components. Glad to
- 39:43Speaker 2: have Community still back on the square. Go beautiful golden
- 39:49Speaker 2: boards behind us.
- 39:52Speaker 4: Kind of crazy that they're back. When Tea Bob leaves.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I said that guy was just you know, his
- 39:57Speaker 2: thighs were too white. Yeah, you can handle it anymore.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Put I told you we got these U line studio lights.
- 40:08Speaker 2: I will say, whenever we get our new building, I'm
- 40:11Speaker 2: not going to care really a lot about what goes on,
- 40:14Speaker 2: what happens, but I want to be the one that
- 40:17Speaker 2: throws these away. I want to be the one that
- 40:20Speaker 2: throws these eighteen ninety eight studio lights away. They're like,
- 40:25Speaker 2: this is what they had like in plays in the
- 40:28Speaker 2: eighteen hundreds, and it puts out the same amount of
- 40:32Speaker 2: heat as it did then as well.
- 40:34Speaker 6: When they were tearing down an old elementary school thirty
- 40:40Speaker 6: five years ago.
- 40:42Speaker 2: They took us from the theater room. Yes they did,
- 40:45Speaker 2: Yes they did. Hey, these golden things they really accentuate
- 40:49Speaker 2: our shadows too. Shadow puppets anybody? Ooh whoa pretty good,
- 40:55Speaker 2: not a big deal.
- 40:56Speaker 4: Not Some are actually from the Ford Theater from the night.
- 41:00Speaker 2: But I was going to go there, but I couldn't
- 41:02Speaker 2: find a good way to get there. I was going
- 41:04Speaker 2: to go there, Yeah, couldn't, could not, could not land
- 41:07Speaker 2: it from a Lincoln's assassination.
- 41:10Speaker 4: Yeah, that's why they were available.
- 41:13Speaker 2: Anyways, before we go down that rabbit hole up there,
- 41:17Speaker 2: the New Orleans Saints lose a couple of players, uh
- 41:20Speaker 2: to Mario Davis two year deal with the New York Jets,
- 41:23Speaker 2: and you kind of knew this was coming. Still doesn't
- 41:26Speaker 2: make it any easier. Jets started crazy, Well we started
- 41:29Speaker 2: with the Jets. He knows the organization.
- 41:30Speaker 4: Yeah, but I thought he said he wanted to win.
- 41:32Speaker 2: Yeah in his bank account.
- 41:34Speaker 3: I thought he was going to either stay of New
- 41:36Speaker 3: Orleans or go to a contender.
- 41:38Speaker 2: Yeah, Like he knows the organization, What does that mean
- 41:40Speaker 2: the owner is the same, No, I'm saying, like he
- 41:44Speaker 2: like he knows what he's getting into. He'd been there before,
- 41:46Speaker 2: he got drafted by him. So he goes to the Jets,
- 41:50Speaker 2: which surprising the team. It is I thought he would
- 41:52Speaker 2: go somewhere that had an opportunity. That's a bad man.
- 41:55Speaker 2: It's a bad look. So in my humble opinion, too
- 42:00Speaker 2: years twenty plus million fifteen, two years twenty two mil
- 42:04Speaker 2: fifteen guaranteed it gets a nice pay day, and he
- 42:08Speaker 2: chose that over I think going to a contender is
- 42:11Speaker 2: what it is what he did. I mean, the Jets
- 42:13Speaker 2: aren't a contender. They never have been, never will be,
- 42:17Speaker 2: certainly not this year.
- 42:18Speaker 6: My question is like as well as he's played, I
- 42:20Speaker 6: know he's up there in age for a linebacker, but like,
- 42:23Speaker 6: as well as he played, he couldn't find ten million
- 42:25Speaker 6: somewhere else the year.
- 42:27Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, he could have. The linebackers were going
- 42:30Speaker 2: absolutely one could have fast and furious yesterday. So he
- 42:35Speaker 2: makes a move to go to the Jets. Wish you
- 42:38Speaker 2: met them, but luck Mariyo, Dave's awesome human being surprised
- 42:41Speaker 2: he went to the Jets, like we're talking about, thought
- 42:43Speaker 2: he was going to go to a true contender. Alante
- 42:46Speaker 2: Taylor is also on the move. He signs a three year,
- 42:50Speaker 2: sixty million dollars deal sixty million dollars now. Alonte Taylor
- 42:58Speaker 2: is a versatile player, talented player. I didn't have him
- 43:01Speaker 2: getting twenty per But the Titans right now, they were
- 43:05Speaker 2: in a position they had money to spend and they said,
- 43:08Speaker 2: you know what, let's see if we can spend all
- 43:09Speaker 2: of it in day one a free agency. Yeah. They
- 43:13Speaker 2: I'm counting. They got a lot of corners for a.
- 43:16Speaker 6: Ten moves so far for the upcoming of the year.
- 43:19Speaker 6: And now maybe it all wasn't there. There could have
- 43:21Speaker 6: been a trade or something before, but this is the
- 43:23Speaker 6: looking at the PA.
- 43:24Speaker 2: They sent him for sixty million. They signed Wandell Robinson
- 43:26Speaker 2: receiver from the Giants, four year, seventy eight million sort.
- 43:30Speaker 6: They signed Cordell Flot another corner three year, forty five
- 43:34Speaker 6: million with thirty two fully guaranteed.
- 43:36Speaker 2: So they brought in three corners. So they clearly don't
- 43:38Speaker 2: listen to this show.
- 43:41Speaker 6: Between those two people, I believe it's one hundred and
- 43:43Speaker 6: two million dollars they spent on two cornerbacks. Yeah, because
- 43:48Speaker 6: if you're a listener of this show, you know that
- 43:50Speaker 6: if you want to not be a good football team,
- 43:52Speaker 6: go overpay for cornerback.
- 43:53Speaker 2: I get it. Their defense was papoo and they got
- 43:57Speaker 2: to improve it. But you got a defensive head coach
- 43:59Speaker 2: which is always going to add to that. That and look,
- 44:02Speaker 2: Brian Dayball's there as well, so he's kind of giving
- 44:04Speaker 2: a report on these former Giants that you're signing.
- 44:07Speaker 6: So you know, let's see how it plays out for him.
- 44:09Speaker 6: I'm sure it'll be really great for the Titans in
- 44:11Speaker 6: the next couple of years.
- 44:12Speaker 2: They also signed defensive tackle John Franklin Myers three years,
- 44:15Speaker 2: sixty three million from the Denver Broncos. He's a good player,
- 44:19Speaker 2: though a lot of money. Hey got to fill seats
- 44:26Speaker 2: in that new stadium both, I guess so, and ain't
- 44:28Speaker 2: gonna pay for itself for insdue those corners really gonna
- 44:30Speaker 2: drive those ticket sales more. OTB when we come back
- 44:33Speaker 2: our number two off the bench, all right, go to
- 44:36Speaker 2: KTZ Blinds dot com. Kto z Blinds dot com. Ktz
- 44:40Speaker 2: in tiers an outdoor living been in the game since
- 44:42Speaker 2: two thousand and four. Brandon Barton and the team gonna
- 44:45Speaker 2: come out to your space. Check out your space, learn
- 44:49Speaker 2: your space, change your space in a matter of minutes.
- 44:52Speaker 2: They've done it for me, they'll do it for you
- 44:53Speaker 2: as well. And that's inside and outside. That's in tier
- 44:56Speaker 2: exterior and sometimes, as I tell you, it is both
- 44:58Speaker 2: for us. We get the motorized screen on the outdoor
- 45:01Speaker 2: patio and we did not know it was going to
- 45:03Speaker 2: change our living room space, but that's exactly what it's done.
- 45:07Speaker 2: It's a great play area for our daughter as well.
- 45:09Speaker 2: Right takes the sun away from her. She can still
- 45:12Speaker 2: be outside, she can still play right there. Safety is
- 45:16Speaker 2: something that it provides us. So it can give so
- 45:18Speaker 2: many different functions. And you never know unless you have
- 45:21Speaker 2: k to Z come.
- 45:22Speaker 6: Out azy interears and outdoor there and like you said,
- 45:25Speaker 6: those like motorized screens on the outdoor, Like if you
- 45:26Speaker 6: have like a little outdoor area, it can keep the
- 45:29Speaker 6: temperature during the summer about ten fifteen twenty degrees cooler
- 45:32Speaker 6: right there. It's an incredible addition to you're have KTZ
