- 0:00What's going on, folks, and welcome to the Deconstructing Topic Podcast.
- 0:04My name is David, and I'm your legendary, legendary host of this legendary podcast,
- 0:11the Deconstructing Topic Podcast, where we talk about a little bit of it all,
- 0:15and we try to, hey, deconstruct the topic.
- 0:18And once again, we got an interesting, interesting topic.
- 0:22We had a couple of people who have reached out to me in the last week or so
- 0:25and kind of requested what I think, and, you know, and I'm one to say is this.
- 0:30You know, I got to, how can I say it to you? I love my job. I love what I do.
- 0:36And I love doing content. And I do want to do so much content.
- 0:40I'm telling you, I will be doing a lot of content.
- 0:42But sadly, you know, one of the things, and again, I love what I do.
- 0:45I love my job. But it does consume at least 10 hours or five days a week,
- 0:50sometimes even a couple of hours on Saturdays.
- 0:53It does consume 10 hours, including transportation.
- 0:57So once in a while we get something that's out there in the press that I would
- 1:00love to cover And then this one apparently for some reason some people say hey
- 1:05I want to hear your thoughts on it And that's why I'm here to talk about it
- 1:09And once again I just want to get you a heads up,
- 1:12I'm going to see things on my point of view and how I see things And just want
- 1:15to share my opinion on a couple of things.
- 1:18And if you are well, if you're new, we are family.
- 1:23Whatever the case, if you return, listen up, whatever it is that we are family,
- 1:29feel free to share, like, comment, do all that good stuff. Remember, the likes is important.
- 1:34The sobbing, subscribe, let your family members know. Let everybody know.
- 1:39Sit in front of a fireplace, sit somewhere, have a couple of drinks,
- 1:43have a couple of 40s, have a couple of teas, coffee.
- 1:47There's people out there throughout the world that
- 1:50listen to my podcast either just enjoy
- 1:53and we make it happen we got a crazy
- 1:56interesting situation that kind of developed like about three weeks ago but
- 2:00for some reason it's making the national news because everybody everybody has
- 2:06an opinion on it and because there's some video there that kind of triggers
- 2:10the emotion and it's The stabbing of Ukrainian refugee Irina.
- 2:15It's a road scar. You know, lately it seems that there's some new radio evidence
- 2:20have emerged and what happened, basically.
- 2:23For those who don't know the news, in Charlotte, a few weeks back,
- 2:27there was a Ukrainian refugee who just happened to take the,
- 2:31what they call the rare rail train.
- 2:33It's what they call it over there in New York City. So we're in the subway, you know what I mean?
- 2:38But this individual, this, you know, little blonde girl, whatever,
- 2:41skinny, He just goes in the train, sits down on her cell phone.
- 2:45Behind her is a black gentleman in a hoodie, red hoodie.
- 2:48And with the minutes, I guess, whatever happened, that he gets triggered on
- 2:52his own, pulls out a knife.
- 2:55And for the most part, people have seen the image of just him looking like he's about to launch.
- 3:00But there's videos out there of the actual incident, of the actual stabbing.
- 3:05And it's interesting because it looked like she was in shot.
- 3:11And sadly, within those minutes of that happened, then my understanding is that she collapsed.
- 3:17You know what I mean? Because you go on this shock situation.
- 3:21I've been in an accident. I've been in a car accident. And when you go to this
- 3:24shock and I'm bleeding, you already know it's like the body just sometimes shut
- 3:29down on people and that's the end of it.
- 3:31But it's making news. And I just want to say it's this.
- 3:35And once again, it's just my opinion. Because there's certain things and certain
- 3:39topics, certain situations, because the individuals are refugees from Ukraine.
- 3:44After you're starting out, outlets are, like, really pushing.
- 3:47And again, you're describing the person. I get it.
- 3:50You hear people's like, whoa, wait a minute. You know, so she escaped a war.
- 3:55You know, from the Ukraine-Russia situation, she came to this country.
- 3:59And the next thing is like, boom, okay.
- 4:01Which I've heard that before and interested. I want people to kind of keep that
- 4:05in mind, the word refugee. You know what I mean?
- 4:08Because I'm in New York City. We got a lot of bunch of refugees.
- 4:12From, you know, Sudan, Syria, to other places, Colombia, Venezuela,
- 4:16if you look at these countries, these countries are basically people that come
- 4:20to this country, refugees.
- 4:21But I like how this, sometimes the millions portraying it as,
- 4:24hey, listen, we got this Ukrainian because of Russia, she was here, and then this happened.
- 4:30Then you got the situation with the individual brown, which is the suspect,
- 4:34who happened to do the stabbing.
- 4:37And the understanding is that he had 14 priors and so on and so forth But he
- 4:42was still out for, you know, free And then he had mental issues as well It's
- 4:46a combination of a little bit of everything,
- 4:49And it's one of those things that it's going to go down as something,
- 4:53That, once again, we shouldn't and should not have happened Now,
- 4:57I just want to say this and keep this in mind And look, I depend on the public
- 5:02transportation in New York City And New York City public transportation, that's wild.
- 5:07Because we got hundreds of thousands of people that take the New York City bus and the subway system.
- 5:14And I get up early in the morning. I'm taking my train at like 4.40 in the morning.
- 5:19And there's people. There's a lot of people because a lot of them go to work
- 5:21early, especially those in the construction, blue collar, you know,
- 5:26doing that little early, early shift kind of thing. You know what I mean?
- 5:29But one thing I noticed, I just want to say this, and I always have said this.
- 5:35When you're taking public transportation or anything that you've seen,
- 5:39but I've seen it more than ever, especially in New York City.
- 5:44Beware of your surroundings. I see people that sit down, and I get it.
- 5:47You're tired early in the morning, or you go home, you know,
- 5:50you're tired, you just doze off, or you're just on a cell phone.
- 5:53But sadly, there's people out there that's just up to no good,
- 5:56and they might be carrying a little knife.
- 6:00And we have learned in life that it doesn't matter the sound of the knife.
- 6:03If they stab you On the You know On a certain part of your body That you know
- 6:08It's gonna hit That artery Oh you're done You know what I mean Might look harmless
- 6:12But hey listen But just always I always said.
- 6:16Keep in mind if you're surrounding. And even if you're tired,
- 6:20you just want to sit down because that's what people do, right?
- 6:22That's whether the individual came in the train, that's what she did.
- 6:25She went on her phone. Now, where is surrounding?
- 6:29If she did look at Brown, the suspect, just leaning towards the kind of like
- 6:35window, maybe he looked like he was sleeping. Maybe he was sleeping.
- 6:39And in the video, the sad thing is that he gets triggered for some reason.
- 6:44Something happened. He's talking to himself.
- 6:47For a little bit up there, a couple of minutes, whatever. Then he just pulls
- 6:51out the knife, pocket knife. Choop.
- 6:55Sad story. And again, it's one of those situations. It could have been avoided.
- 6:59Why, you know, that person was out there.
- 7:02If he was having mental issues. You know, if he didn't do anything crazy.
- 7:05Hey, listen. And I tell people, because there's people like,
- 7:07oh, he should have been arrested. He should have been doing life.
- 7:10Let's find out what exactly he did in those. You know, you got to look at it
- 7:15in the context of what it is that you do at the time that you got to be serving.
- 7:21Let's say in Charlotte. Now, Charlotte is a big city.
- 7:24It's a small, big city. But it is a city nonetheless. Not New York City.
- 7:30Not Chicago, L.A., Houston, Dallas. You already know.
- 7:33Those are the big boys. But, you know, Charlotte's up there.
- 7:36So there's that little hustling bustling thing that's going on.
- 7:39So, hey, people are going to take that public. And then sadly,
- 7:43in many big cities, in many big cities, there's so much of so much that a lot
- 7:49of people just get left behind.
- 7:51And then, you know, if the conversation came about mental issues.
- 7:55Hey, you know, that's an interesting topic.
- 7:58Like what's going on? This individual is going through the mental issue.
- 8:02And then, you know, what's the solution to that?
- 8:04Now, I want to bring this up because I want to bring how interesting how certain
- 8:09parts of the media are playing the Ukrainian refugee thing where, oh, you know,
- 8:14she was here in this country because Russia, Russia, and all this,
- 8:18and I get it. You know, you're saying for what it is.
- 8:22I want to keep this in mind, and I've said it so many times.
- 8:25I'm going to look at, and I'm looking at a list of countries,
- 8:28refugees that got the tag of refugees. Colombia, Venezuela, Ukraine,
- 8:33obviously, Syria, Pakistan, Cuba, Afghanistan.
- 8:40Yesterday, I feel a lot of, you know, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Syrian.
- 8:45You got Syria in the Middle East, Sudan, Africa, Congo, Africa,
- 8:49Somalia. So think about this.
- 8:52And I'm in New York City. And yes, there's a lot of people from these countries.
- 8:58Because people are like, oh, Venezuela, what are they doing here And Colombian
- 9:02and so on And I always said it's this It's interesting how the media will play
- 9:07as Okay, there's Ukrainian refugee because of Russia Then they're meted.
- 9:12A lot of these countries that I just mentioned, the reason why they're here
- 9:16is because at one point, United States intervened in somewhere or something,
- 9:20and the next thing is like, oh, you know what? You guys could come here now.
- 9:25So in other words, you understand what I'm saying? Now, if there's a lot of
- 9:28Venezuelan Colombian that come in New York City, they come to New York City,
- 9:32you know, they get this tag that they get everything, whatever,
- 9:35but then they move to these parts, the black neighborhood, where already the
- 9:40black community or the black neighborhood are lacking certain things.
- 9:44And there's these individuals.
- 9:45It's not on them. They come to these parts in New York City.
- 9:50And now, sadly, they are consuming certain agonized states, like the budget of that area.
- 9:58So you're going to have a high, the way I will see it, you're going to have
- 10:01a high situation where there's a lot of black individuals You know,
- 10:06from the black neighborhood And it applies to Puerto Rican as well And Hispanic
- 10:09That mental issue is a thing,
- 10:13And we might not look like it So what happens is this That sadly,
- 10:17let's say You know how many times we have seen a At least in content, I've stopped a few.
- 10:24Colombian, Venezuelan refugees, right?
- 10:27About to like stab a black person And vice versa And I'm like in the subway
- 10:31And I stopped a few See how this works?
- 10:35So sometimes we like to use the word refugee But sometimes we change We don't
- 10:40even use that word for the migrants That are coming here from Venezuela,
- 10:43Colombian Now we're going to be like Oh, well, these migrants are coming over
- 10:46here We need to cross the border And so on And, you know, obviously You know,
- 10:50with you in Europe and other parts It's a little bit different how to get here,
- 10:53Remember, a lot of these individuals That come from these certain countries
- 10:57That I just said Even look, Venezuela, United States You know,
- 11:01It's like the 10,000th time United States intervenes in Venezuela, you know what I mean?
- 11:06Oh, but they're not refugees. They're just leaving the country, you know?
- 11:09So I just want to mention that in regards to that situation.
- 11:12It is a sad situation what happened.
- 11:15Because then the other aspect of that situation, and I always bring this up,
- 11:20is that, yeah, mental issue is a thing. And imagine this.
- 11:23And imagine this. And I always bring this up a lot of times.
- 11:28Mental issue is a thing that we lack enough, especially in our neighborhoods.
- 11:33But this is why, you know, violence is one thing.
- 11:37And I always explain to you. A lot of people in the situation that just happened
- 11:42in that with the Charlotte, you know, Brown and that situation,
- 11:46the stabbing, that situation happens in the hood frequently.
- 11:50But it's not a sexy thing. It's not appealing. The people that are on the side
- 11:55of going against Brown are the people that would have been on the opposite side
- 11:58or not talking about it. But it happens in our neighborhood.
- 12:03And the people that are vocal about it are not saying anything about this situation.
- 12:08You understand how this works?
- 12:10There's no solution. Nobody's going to find a solution for mental health. No.
- 12:14The refugees, no. But, you know, because it's Ukraine refugee,
- 12:18you know, little, you know, skinny blonde girl.
- 12:22Oh, you know, Russia, and, you know, she escaped the hands of Russia.
- 12:26But ain't nobody say, hey, listen, Venezuela, they escaped the hands of the
- 12:30United States, Colombia, right?
- 12:33Certain parts of Africa, hey, listen, you know, United States always got a hand.
- 12:36If it's not United States, there are so-called allies, the French, the Dutch, the English.
- 12:42Somewhere, someone in Europe has a hand on something and they come over here.
- 12:47You know, so I just want to touch bases on that. The whole mental health situation
- 12:51definitely needs to be addressed.
- 12:53And then the other day, on that same week when this was making national headlines,
- 12:58now Trump is saying something, Department of Justice is saying something, and so on and so forth.
- 13:02I said to myself, look, if you want to go all out for that situation and address
- 13:07that situation, and because he had faults and priors, hey, listen,
- 13:11let's address certain things in our neighborhood.
- 13:14Because crime in our neighborhood, sometimes for the most part,
- 13:18crime in our neighborhood don't happen because you have criminals.
- 13:21It just happened because of you commit a crime.
- 13:25And if you commit a crime, then, you know, sadly, the crime is small,
- 13:29but you still live in the same neighborhood.
- 13:31But there's no rehabilitation. There's no one that's really doing any rehabilitation.
- 13:36And, you know, the other day I'm in Union Square Park, for those familiar in New York City.
- 13:42There was this little chubby Asian guy who just happened to be walking on the
- 13:46phone, not knowing where he was going to go.
- 13:49And then this black gentleman who looked, you know, like he's going through a lot.
- 13:54He does check the checkbox a little bit, you know, homeless,
- 13:58mental health issue, or whatever it is, because that's the other thing, too.
- 14:02People might say, oh, but no, come on, David. Now everything is a mental or
- 14:06homeless situation. It's been like that for quite a long time.
- 14:10If you ever go to New York City or these big cities, you got left off somebody, right?
- 14:17Remember somebody's, those drugs that creep into this country or these drugs
- 14:21that are just somewhere, whatever it is, somebody's going to take them.
- 14:24Somebody's got to take them, right?
- 14:26And sadly, it's people who are going through a lot of them Because of the drug
- 14:30use, then you get that Because of the mental issue, you get that situation,
- 14:34But it's one of those things where it could have been avoided But I kind of
- 14:39think I always say, look, listen, we definitely Again,
- 14:43I'm going to go back One of the reasons in our community, especially impoverished
- 14:49communities Black neighborhoods,
- 14:51Puerto Rican neighborhoods, Spanish neighborhoods One of the things is the lack
- 14:56of to try to address the mental health issues, to try to address the homeless issue.
- 15:01All we do is, ah, let's keep everybody happy, consume, consume.
- 15:05Here's money, here's this, this, that, is that.
- 15:08And a lot of people end up, you know, taking drugs, taking whatever it is.
- 15:12And then the next thing they do something crazy.
- 15:13Listen, even the person, you know, I always emphasize the person that did the
- 15:18first mass shooting in the United States, 60s, Texas.
- 15:22Again, falls into the same category. Mental issue, drugs, whatever the case might be.
- 15:28And as long as we have that situation, then there's going to be victims like
- 15:33Direne, victim of the circumstances, victim of the perpetrator,
- 15:37victim of the system, victim of everything.
- 15:40And if, you know, if we find out that, hey, this individual,
- 15:4414 whatever priors, and there are things, sadly, the prison system in the United
- 15:52States, there's a lot of people who are in prison.
- 15:54Jail, whatever it is, you know?
- 15:57So if it's one of those things, they get a tap in their hand,
- 16:00next time, next time, next time, how can we address that? How can we address certain things?
- 16:06But at the end, I don't see a solution.
- 16:09I've seen, oh, yeah, we're going to give the death penalty, but what does that change?
- 16:12We're going to have this situation, and I'm going to go back to the hood,
- 16:16black neighborhood, where refugees are going to be kind of stabbing black people and vice versa.
- 16:22But nobody's going to talk about that because that's not the sexy thing to talk about, sadly.
- 16:29And that's when you don't hear about refugees. Now it becomes gangs.
- 16:33You change the word refugees to gangs. Well, it's gangs because they live in the same area, right?
- 16:40Venezuela stick with Venezuela. Colombians stick with Venezuela.
- 16:42But Colombians, Sudanese stick with Sudanese, you know.
- 16:47And that's how they become a gang. That doesn't mean that they're doing anything wrong.
- 16:50A lot of them, they do the Ubers, DoorDatch. What's that, a gang of DoorDatchers? I don't know.
- 16:55But you see how you take the word in certain words? Now, you don't want people
- 16:59to gain sympathy for them because now you call them migrants or immigrants taking
- 17:03money from welfare or whatever the case might be.
- 17:06So anyways, that's my situation with that. That's my opinion.
- 17:11Well, the way I'm observing it, it's one of those things that should not be
- 17:14addressed. Being that he did that crime, absolutely.
- 17:19If you want to give him rehab, then that's on you. But I wouldn't fully agree
- 17:23on that to be like, oh, he got mental issues. How can we fix it?
- 17:27Because, you know, that's where the asylum comes in back then. You know what I mean?
- 17:31And the salems, they didn't do much more to rehab people. They just fed people to Big Pharma.
- 17:37Basically, that's what's going to happen here. He's going to be fed off to Big
- 17:41Pharma because Big Pharma is going to say, ah, he stabbed someone and he has mental issues.
- 17:45You know, we got a couple of new drugs there Talk to me That's what's going
- 17:50to wind up happening Anyways, this is Deconstructing Topic Podcast You already
- 17:54know, make it happen I'm out of here Enjoy, like, share, comment,
- 17:58all that good stuff Make it happen, I'm out Peace.
