- 0:37SPEAKER_00: It feels like a good summer song.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: You know, actually I shot the music video in Puerto Rico.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Um, so it's just one of those kind of songs I feel like we captured the essence, the energy of the island.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: And I think when you listen to the song, it just you want to have a cookie drink and be sitting out on the, you know, on the beach.
- 0:52Sean McAllister: Let's get to it now on Vegas Revealed.
- 0:56Dayna Roselli: Welcome everyone to Vegas Revealed episode 332.
- 0:59Dayna Roselli: Dana Roselli and Sean McAllister here in uh like a slew of three weeks of 111.
- 1:06Dayna Roselli: Oh my god.
- 1:07Dayna Roselli: Here in Las Vegas.
- 1:08Dayna Roselli: My plant finally died.
- 1:09Dayna Roselli: I was just talking my mom and I think on my patio.
- 1:14Dayna Roselli: I have had a pepper plant and it stayed alive and green, and I've been shocked all through 110.
- 1:20Dayna Roselli: So I'm like, what changed all of a sudden the other day?
- 1:23Dayna Roselli: Like we hit a record high of 112, but like did 112 do it in from 110?
- 1:27Dayna Roselli: Like, I don't know why.
- 1:28Dayna Roselli: All of a sudden it just shriveled up and died.
- 1:30Dayna Roselli: But I was able to keep it alive all through 110.
- 1:34Sean McAllister: Well, I I feel your pepper plant because I was outside today and it felt like I wanted to shrivel up too.
- 1:43Dayna Roselli: It's hot out there for sure.
- 1:45Dayna Roselli: See, I went to the pool and it was funny because me and my friend Richard were down there and we were laughing because no one's there, and we're like, oh my God, we're in the water.
- 1:52Dayna Roselli: It's cool and crisp.
- 1:53Dayna Roselli: There was a breeze.
- 1:54Dayna Roselli: We were laying in like the low water, like chatting and just loving it.
- 1:58Dayna Roselli: We're like, it's so funny that people don't use the pool when it's hot.
- 2:01Sean McAllister: Right.
- 2:01Dayna Roselli: But like that's the whole point of a pool.
- 2:04Sean McAllister: That's exactly that if you're gonna use one, that's the time to use it.
- 2:07Dayna Roselli: We don't get it.
- 2:08Dayna Roselli: We're like, I don't understand because we have a big building and no one's out.
- 2:11Dayna Roselli: There was like two other people, but even someone else, um, we were like, hey, come down to the pool.
- 2:15Dayna Roselli: They're like, oh my god, it's too hot out.
- 2:16Dayna Roselli: I'm like, too hot.
- 2:17Dayna Roselli: That's the whole point.
- 2:18Dayna Roselli: You're gonna get in the pool.
- 2:20Dayna Roselli: But I think that people like to lounge and sit and scroll on their phone and do all that, and they can't do that.
- 2:25Dayna Roselli: That's not what it's for for me.
- 2:26Dayna Roselli: I want to relax and put my phone down.
- 2:28Sean McAllister: They like to be near the pool, not necessarily in the pool.
- 2:31Dayna Roselli: Which also doesn't make sense.
- 2:32Sean McAllister: It doesn't.
- 2:33Dayna Roselli: But anyway, okay, so the pool was nice today, but yes, you're air conditioning or a pool, or you're done.
- 2:39Sean McAllister: That's how you have to survive.
- 2:41Sean McAllister: Yeah, especially this summer.
- 2:42Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 2:43Sean McAllister: Definitely ready for these triple digits to break just a little bit, or just go back to like low triple digits.
- 2:51Dayna Roselli: It's gonna feel great when it's 103.
- 2:53Sean McAllister: It is, right?
- 2:53Sean McAllister: But it's gonna take another week or so.
- 2:56Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 2:56Dayna Roselli: And then I'm out of here.
- 2:57Dayna Roselli: I'm going to New York.
- 2:58Dayna Roselli: I'm going to the East Coast in a couple weeks because I'm like, I need a little break.
- 3:01Dayna Roselli: And I like to go back there anyway and see my mom, but I am looking forward to 80s.
- 3:05Sean McAllister: And I'm going to the West Coast.
- 3:07Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 3:07Sean McAllister: I'm going Central Coast, California, on the beach, cool evenings, crisp mornings.
- 3:14Sean McAllister: I cannot wait.
- 3:16Dayna Roselli: It's yeah, it does get it gets repetitive, but it's not the end of the world.
- 3:22Dayna Roselli: It's bearable.
- 3:23Dayna Roselli: You just need to be inside or out by the pool.
- 3:25Sean McAllister: You do.
- 3:26Dayna Roselli: It's like our winter for, but anyway, people are still loving Vegas or out there at the pools, enjoying themselves.
- 3:32Dayna Roselli: So if you're coming in though, just remember you gotta hydrate.
- 3:34Dayna Roselli: And remember, you need water, but you also need those electrolytes.
- 3:37Dayna Roselli: Hey, I went over to the Wynn the other night and finally got to check out Zero Bond.
- 3:41Dayna Roselli: That's a private members-only club that they opened at Wynn Las Vegas.
- 3:45Dayna Roselli: Uh, my friend Melinda is a member and she invited me over.
- 3:49Dayna Roselli: Um, I had a great time.
- 3:51Dayna Roselli: Um, I was just trying to think.
- 3:53Dayna Roselli: I had two great martinis with blue cheese olives, and I had a great burger with fries, and we shared some sushi too.
- 4:01Dayna Roselli: So um that was amazing.
- 4:03Dayna Roselli: The food was good.
- 4:04Dayna Roselli: What I really love was the staff was so nice.
- 4:06Dayna Roselli: It didn't feel pretentious.
- 4:07Dayna Roselli: You know, you never know those private-only clubs, right?
- 4:09Dayna Roselli: Right, yeah.
- 4:10Dayna Roselli: Everyone was so friendly, so nice.
- 4:12Dayna Roselli: Um, it is a beautiful venue.
- 4:14Dayna Roselli: It's got several different rooms, several different levels, a beautiful patio that overlooks the wind golf course and the waterfall, and you could see the sphere.
- 4:22Dayna Roselli: And so there were people sitting out there enjoying a drink.
- 4:25Dayna Roselli: Because, you know, the summer nights are still nice.
- 4:28Dayna Roselli: Um, it's not 112, and then when the sun sets, it's warm, but it's kind of nice out there.
- 4:33Dayna Roselli: Um, but they also had like, I guess upstairs, like a sports viewing room, and like I think they had like a cigar room around the corner.
- 4:38Dayna Roselli: So lots of different, you know, rooms and stuff, very beautiful, as you would expect from the win.
- 4:45Dayna Roselli: And it was nice to go there and hang out and see what it was like.
- 4:49Sean McAllister: Were there a lot of people there?
- 4:50Sean McAllister: Because I always wonder with these uh with the private clubs, because there's like an annual membership, and then you know, there's usually it doesn't necessarily mean that anything's free.
- 5:00Sean McAllister: It just means that you can go, oh, you can go.
- 5:02Sean McAllister: Right.
- 5:03Sean McAllister: Um, was it busy?
- 5:04Dayna Roselli: It was busy, but I would say there were certain rooms that weren't so like everyone kind of I felt like it was a Friday night, converged in like a couple of the rooms to eat and drink.
- 5:14Dayna Roselli: The bar was busy, you know, because I guess you're mingling with people and stuff like that and socializing, like a social club, yeah.
- 5:21Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and plus it is warm out.
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: Like I say, like the summer nights are nice, but it it's toasty, so that might not be for everyone.
- 5:28Dayna Roselli: I think the patio will probably be full once we get a month out of everyone sitting outside at night, you know, because it'll be a little cooler.
- 5:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 5:35Dayna Roselli: Um, but um, it was busy, but it wasn't packed because there are so many different rooms.
- 5:42Dayna Roselli: But a good vibe, but a good vibe, and the two rooms that I was in were packed, like busy.
- 5:47Dayna Roselli: I think it was just more concentrated.
- 5:49Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 5:49Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 5:49Sean McAllister: Well, that makes sense.
- 5:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 5:50Dayna Roselli: So it was really, really nice.
- 5:51Dayna Roselli: I really enjoyed myself.
- 5:52Dayna Roselli: Um, and you know, I just love the wind that you just pull out and the the parking gate lifts.
- 5:57Sean McAllister: That is that's a very nice thing.
- 5:59Dayna Roselli: Because I'm getting I'm over the I'm really starting to get irritated with some of the casinos at charge.
- 6:05Dayna Roselli: Just because it takes so long to get out.
- 6:07Dayna Roselli: We've talked about this before.
- 6:08Dayna Roselli: Even if it was easy to get out, I wouldn't even mind paying, but it's just always a thing.
- 6:13Dayna Roselli: But fountain blue, win.
- 6:15Dayna Roselli: I love that the locals, you're in that three-hour, four-hour time limit, or I think the fountain blue is just free, regardless, with your if you're a local or a card.
- 6:23Dayna Roselli: It just you bink and then it just lifts.
- 6:26Dayna Roselli: None of that messing around.
- 6:28Sean McAllister: I know.
- 6:28Sean McAllister: And you know, uh, I was at the uh the North uh premium outlets recently, and they've started charging for parking in their garage too.
- 6:39Sean McAllister: I don't know when that started.
- 6:41Sean McAllister: Um but it's one of those things where if you have a Nevada ID, you can scan it on the way out for free parking.
- 6:46Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 6:47Sean McAllister: Um, but I was surprised to see, and they had people like manning the machines, like standing there making sure you get your ticket, the gate goes out.
- 6:55Dayna Roselli: Not even that close either.
- 6:56Dayna Roselli: You got a little walk from the garage.
- 6:59Sean McAllister: You do, yeah.
- 6:59Sean McAllister: So it's like not super convenient.
- 7:01Sean McAllister: And when it's hot out.
- 7:02Dayna Roselli: When it's yeah, I don't like that when it's not super convenient.
- 7:04Dayna Roselli: I'm still like there was a hotel on the strip that has an awful garage and they wanted to charge$35.
- 7:13Dayna Roselli: And I was like, really?
- 7:14Dayna Roselli: For me to park in this crickety thing, I always hit the button and I tell them a story and they let me out.
- 7:26Sean McAllister: And hopefully you can get out.
- 7:27Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 7:28Sean McAllister: Well, so we're off our soapbox on the parking.
- 7:31Sean McAllister: You know where we stand on that.
- 7:32Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 7:33Sean McAllister: All right, let's talk wrestling for a minute.
- 7:36Sean McAllister: Obviously, we know that WrestleMania has been hugely successful the last two years that it was held here in Las Vegas.
- 7:44Sean McAllister: Well, now Triple Mania has an event that is coming up September 11th here in Las Vegas, and there is so much demand they had to move it to a bigger venue.
- 7:55Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 7:55Dayna Roselli: I've never heard of this before.
- 7:56Dayna Roselli: So it was over at the Luxor, and it already sold out for Friday, September 11th.
- 8:01Dayna Roselli: And now they're moving it, like not to someplace a little bigger, they're moving it to the NGM Grand Garden Arena.
- 8:06Sean McAllister: That's a huge, like capacity-wise, that's a huge upgrade.
- 8:10Dayna Roselli: It is unbelievable.
- 8:12Dayna Roselli: I love that.
- 8:12Dayna Roselli: I think that's so cool that everyone's coming in for this.
- 8:16Dayna Roselli: Um, apparently the uh date and start time all remain the same.
- 8:20Dayna Roselli: Just so you know, if you're going to Triple Mania or you want to buy tickets, um, general public now on sale by the time this podcast drops.
- 8:27Dayna Roselli: So you can get tickets, and it seems like there'll be a lot more space and people will be able to come in and enjoy Triple Mania.
- 8:34Sean McAllister: Yeah, and this is the first ever two-night two country triple mania.
- 8:39Sean McAllister: Friday, the uh uh September 11th is here in Las Vegas, and then Sunday, uh September 13th is in Mexico City.
- 8:48Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 8:49Dayna Roselli: Well, now, okay.
- 8:51Dayna Roselli: As a promotions person, I'm thinking, I feel like they need to add a third country to make it triple mania.
- 8:59Dayna Roselli: Why two nights, two countries, but triple mania?
- 9:02Dayna Roselli: It should be three nights, three countries, triple mania.
- 9:05Dayna Roselli: Come on.
- 9:06Sean McAllister: Well, maybe we can get Canada on board.
- 9:08Sean McAllister: We can have Mexico, USA, Canada.
- 9:13Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 9:14Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean, listen, these events are huge, right?
- 9:17Dayna Roselli: People love them.
- 9:18Dayna Roselli: They have such a big following.
- 9:20Dayna Roselli: And you and I went to our first WrestleMania.
- 9:22Dayna Roselli: We've talked about it many times, and we get it now.
- 9:25Sean McAllister: It's it's great.
- 9:26Sean McAllister: The the fans are fantastic.
- 9:28Sean McAllister: So it's really after experiencing WrestleMania firsthand, it's no surprise that Triple Mania, the lucha libre uh event, is going to be huge as well.
- 9:40Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 9:41Dayna Roselli: All right, let's talk top golf.
- 9:42Dayna Roselli: We haven't talked about Top Golf in a while, and they're really reaching out to the Bachelorettes, okay?
- 9:46Dayna Roselli: And I know everyone that listens loves to spread the word uh with folks that you know that are coming into town, friends, family, when you hear of a little deal or something different.
- 9:56Dayna Roselli: Um, we've helped with, you know, 21 and over parties, birthday parties, and stuff like that with recommendations.
- 10:01Dayna Roselli: But for a bachelorette, um, Top Golf is wanting you to have your party at their pool because I don't even know if a lot of people know that Topgolf has a pool.
- 10:11Dayna Roselli: It's not huge, but it's really nice.
- 10:13Sean McAllister: It's a great pool.
- 10:14Sean McAllister: And I believe it's uh like open to anyone who wants to go.
- 10:17Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 10:18Sean McAllister: Um, but for bachelorettes, they've got this last splash, bachelorette cabana package.
- 10:26Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 10:26Dayna Roselli: The last splash.
- 10:28Dayna Roselli: The last splash.
- 10:29Dayna Roselli: Are you singing it to the last dance?
- 10:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 10:34Dayna Roselli: Hopefully it's not your last splash.
- 10:36Sean McAllister: No, hopefully there's many more splashes to come just after your marriage.
- 10:40Sean McAllister: After your union, yeah.
- 10:41Sean McAllister: Uh so this package includes all day cabana access.
- 10:45Sean McAllister: This is from 10 in the morning to six at night, so you can get plenty of pool time in there.
- 10:49Sean McAllister: A bottle of Tito's, which will probably only last you a short short portion of that window of time.
- 10:55Sean McAllister: Uh, themed shot glasses, some fun floaties, fruit platter.
- 11:00Sean McAllister: Uh, so it seems like it'll be a good time for any bachelorette groups who want to go over to Top Golf.
- 11:06Dayna Roselli: Well, you get the welcome signage, that's always fun.
- 11:08Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 11:09Dayna Roselli: Um, lots of hours.
- 11:10Dayna Roselli: So yeah, keep that in mind.
- 11:11Dayna Roselli: If you at Bachelorettes, if you're looking for a place to hang with uh your friends, Top Golf is now offering packages, so check them out.
- 11:18Sean McAllister: The Less Splash.
- 11:19Dayna Roselli: The Last Splash package.
- 11:22Sean McAllister: Hey, uh kind of sticking with the the making a splash?
- 11:28Sean McAllister: Making a splash.
- 11:29Sean McAllister: F1 always makes a splash.
- 11:30Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 11:31Sean McAllister: Uh, and we're less than a hundred days now until uh 2026, Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix, and uh they're doing uh some ticket giveaways.
- 11:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, different kinds of events.
- 11:46Dayna Roselli: So they're gonna have a new uh single-day ticket options, and they're including the first ever single-day hospitality experiences package to go along with that.
- 11:55Dayna Roselli: Uh, and that's all going on sale August 13th.
- 11:58Dayna Roselli: So heads up single day and first ever single-day hospitality experiences going on sale August 13th.
- 12:06Dayna Roselli: Then uh they're doing a free 100 days to race day celebration over at the Grand Prix Plaza.
- 12:12Dayna Roselli: That's on August 15th.
- 12:14Sean McAllister: And here's the giveaway.
- 12:16Sean McAllister: The giveaway is happening if you are in the nonprofit world.
- 12:21Sean McAllister: So there's a hundred thousand for a hundred days giveaway that F1 is doing.
- 12:28Sean McAllister: So a hundred thousand dollars is going to five Southern Nevada nonprofits in the lead up to the big race.
- 12:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so that's great.
- 12:37Dayna Roselli: And then the debut of the limited drop sweepstakes will take place in the official F1 Las Vegas app.
- 12:44Dayna Roselli: So you have to get the app to check out that sweepstakes, too.
- 12:46Dayna Roselli: But bunch of things going on as it gets closer and closer to the race.
- 12:50Dayna Roselli: Exciting stuff.
- 12:51Sean McAllister: It is, and now that we are within 100 days of the race, that means that we can expect the F1 track construction uh to begin.
- 13:00Sean McAllister: That's going to start on Monday, September 8th.
- 13:03Sean McAllister: Um, and that entire setup teardown uh period is 11 weeks with the race obviously uh right in the middle of that time frame, too.
- 13:12Dayna Roselli: Thank goodness it'll be cool, a little bit cooler then because you imagine getting stuck in that F1 construction traffic in 112 beating in your car right now.
- 13:22Sean McAllister: It'll be in the 90s.
- 13:23Sean McAllister: It'll be the nice, crisp 90s.
- 13:25Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 13:26Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 13:26Dayna Roselli: So yeah, getting ready for F1 in November.
- 13:29Dayna Roselli: Um, listen, the Beverly Theater is celebrating Mob Month.
- 13:32Dayna Roselli: They are doing like a bunch of different screenings of some great films from The Departed, Miller's Crossing, Casino, Goodfellas, uh, a lot of films all month long in August, we're talking about.
- 13:46Dayna Roselli: And they've got lots of different kind of promotions too with the mob museum.
- 13:49Sean McAllister: Yeah, they're doing a cool partnership actually with the mob museum.
- 13:54Sean McAllister: So if you go to the mob museum and you present the wristband from entry, or if you have a membership card, uh Beverly Theater will give you 20% off on any of the mob month screenings, which is pretty cool.
- 14:09Sean McAllister: And then on the flip side, if you go to a mob month screening, bring your ticket to the mob museum, and you get 20% off of your ticket to go and see the mob museum and check all that out.
- 14:21Sean McAllister: So it is all mob all the time.
- 14:23Dayna Roselli: All mob all the time, yeah.
- 14:24Dayna Roselli: And then they're gonna have um a conversation, an exclusive conversation when following the Goodfellas screening.
- 14:31Dayna Roselli: And that one is on August 26th at 7 p.m.
- 14:35Dayna Roselli: with Jeff Schumacher, the vice president of research collections and programs at the mob museum.
- 14:41Dayna Roselli: So um if you're interested in kind of being part of that conversation, that one will be August 26th after Goodfellas.
- 14:49Sean McAllister: And just looking at the the lineup, I've never seen Miller's Crossing, Dread or Gamora.
- 14:56Dayna Roselli: Me either.
- 14:56Sean McAllister: There's three of those that I've not seen.
- 14:58Sean McAllister: So there you go.
- 15:00Sean McAllister: A reason to go.
- 15:00Sean McAllister: The departed is always so good though.
- 15:02Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 15:02Sean McAllister: I might have to go over for that.
- 15:04Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 15:04Dayna Roselli: It's a 20th anniversary, too, apparently.
- 15:06Sean McAllister: It is, which is which blows my mind.
- 15:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 15:10Sean McAllister: But that's a good one.
- 15:11Sean McAllister: I never saw that in the theater.
- 15:12Sean McAllister: I've only seen it like in my living room.
- 15:15Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 15:16Dayna Roselli: And then let's see, um, the day this podcast drops, I think it's the sixth.
- 15:19Dayna Roselli: This one goes to the eighth, departed.
- 15:21Dayna Roselli: So you gotta get there in over the next couple days.
- 15:23Sean McAllister: And you can go to the Beverly Theater's website to see the entire uh lineup with the dates for all of those mob screenings.
- 15:31Dayna Roselli: Well, Sean, I thought this was worth a mention because I don't know why it made me giggle.
- 15:36Dayna Roselli: But um apparently one day simply was not enough for Bratwurst Day.
- 15:42Dayna Roselli: After years of enthusiastic response from all the Bratwurst lovers, the Hofbrot house here in Las Vegas is extending its national Bratwurst Day celebration to a full week this year.
- 15:55Sean McAllister: Ooh.
- 15:55Dayna Roselli: From Sunday, August 16th to August 23rd.
- 16:00Dayna Roselli: And you can indulge in.
- 16:02Dayna Roselli: Now I know you looked up the pronouncer of this.
- 16:04Dayna Roselli: You can indulge in the fan favorite, which is what, Sean?
- 16:07Sean McAllister: Well, hold on.
- 16:08Sean McAllister: I need to make sure that I say it right.
- 16:10Dayna Roselli: Well, you had it like hyphenated out.
- 16:12Dayna Roselli: Gigantasha.
- 16:14Dayna Roselli: Gigantasha?
- 16:15unknown: Gigantasha.
- 16:17Sean McAllister: Gigantisha.
- 16:18Dayna Roselli: Gigantasha.
- 16:19Sean McAllister: The Gigantisha Bratwurst is returning by popular demand.
- 16:23Sean McAllister: Are you ready to hear what this is?
- 16:24Dayna Roselli: For a limited time run, by the way.
- 16:26Sean McAllister: For a limited run, yeah.
- 16:28Dayna Roselli: Yeah, read it out.
- 16:28Sean McAllister: Listen, guess by the name.
- 16:30Sean McAllister: Gigantasha.
- 16:31Sean McAllister: It means gigantic.
- 16:33Sean McAllister: And this is.
- 16:34Sean McAllister: This is a two-foot long cheese-stuffed bratwurst.
- 16:41Sean McAllister: Weighs 16 ounces.
- 16:44Sean McAllister: It's served on a baguette uh with basically like a slaw underneath it.
- 16:51Dayna Roselli: Green cabbage.
- 16:52Sean McAllister: Green cabbage and bacon salad.
- 16:54Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 16:54Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 16:55Sean McAllister: And in along with two pounds of French fries.
- 17:00Sean McAllister: Oh my goodness.
- 17:01Sean McAllister: So get a bunch of your besties together and get the gigantha shah bratwurst.
- 17:09Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 17:10Dayna Roselli: Now I get it.
- 17:11Dayna Roselli: That is so crazy.
- 17:13Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 17:14Sean McAllister: I looked on uh the Hopra House uh Instagram page and they're already promoting this.
- 17:19Sean McAllister: And one of the one of the servers was holding this bratwurst like a baby.
- 17:24Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh.
- 17:25Sean McAllister: It was like, it's huge.
- 17:27Dayna Roselli: Green cabbage and bacon salad does sound kind of good though.
- 17:29Sean McAllister: And it's it looks like it's a like almost a coleslaw with bacon in it.
- 17:33Dayna Roselli: Yum.
- 17:34Dayna Roselli: I like that.
- 17:34Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 17:35Dayna Roselli: Two pounds of French fries, folks.
- 17:37Sean McAllister: Two pounds of French fries.
- 17:38Sean McAllister: Is there a price on this?
- 17:39Dayna Roselli: We didn't look it up, but anyway.
- 17:41Sean McAllister: Uh no, I thought I saw something that said it was a between it was in the ballpark between like 45 and$50, maybe, but I couldn't find like a definitive menu price on that.
- 17:53Sean McAllister: So just know that you're getting a two-foot-long bratwurst and it can serve multiple people.
- 17:59Sean McAllister: So keep that in mind.
- 18:00Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 18:01Dayna Roselli: Because if it is around that, that's not bad.
- 18:02Dayna Roselli: That's less than two drinks, alcoholic drinks.
- 18:05Dayna Roselli: Sounds fun.
- 18:07Dayna Roselli: So you can get over there to the Hopper House.
- 18:09Dayna Roselli: If you don't know where that is, it's right next to um like across the street from Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, which is the former Hard Rock.
- 18:15Dayna Roselli: They're on Paradise and Harmon.
- 18:17Sean McAllister: Harmon.
- 18:18Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 18:18Dayna Roselli: We mean to we're gonna get over there and do actually a story on the venue itself and what it means to Las Vegas.
- 18:25Sean McAllister: It's been here forever, so it's it's Oktoberfest every day.
- 18:29Sean McAllister: It is at the Hofburg House.
- 18:30Dayna Roselli: And I met, you know, we're gonna do right now, coming up here in just a minute, we're gonna do um an interview with Howie Duro from Bra Backstreet Boys.
- 18:38Dayna Roselli: On our way out from this event, um, I ran into a woman who is a flight attendant for um Condor, I think it was, out of Germany.
- 18:48Dayna Roselli: And so she spends a lot of time in Vegas because her, you know, the back and forth is Vegas.
- 18:54Dayna Roselli: And she said, I've seen you for years when I go to shows and stuff like that.
- 18:57Dayna Roselli: Um, she used to go to the Matt Goss show a lot.
- 19:00Dayna Roselli: And anyway, it just reminded me we have a lot of German visitors that come in from Germany on Condor.
- 19:05Sean McAllister: And we I know that we have German listeners to the podcast.
- 19:09Sean McAllister: So hello.
- 19:11Dayna Roselli: Hello, yeah, we do.
- 19:12Dayna Roselli: And you can always text us by the way, or we have that link in our show notes.
- 19:16Dayna Roselli: You click it, you text us, we can actually respond to you.
- 19:19Dayna Roselli: We do not get your name or your full phone number.
- 19:22Dayna Roselli: So don't worry about that.
- 19:23Dayna Roselli: But we love to hear uh comments, questions, all that kind of stuff.
- 19:27Sean McAllister: All right, let's get to that Howie D interview in celebrity news with a Vegas twist.
- 19:34Dayna Roselli: All right, Sean.
- 19:35Dayna Roselli: I know the Backstreet Boys fans have been waiting for this interview.
- 19:38Dayna Roselli: Um, but uh, we did get to chat with uh Howie Duro, Howie D, aka Howie D.
- 19:44Dayna Roselli: Just easier to say, I guess, right?
- 19:45Dayna Roselli: With the Backstreet Boys.
- 19:46Dayna Roselli: Um, he has a new single out called Cokie, and he has a new drink that he kind of partnered with Smith and Walinsky at the Venetian to do like a Cokie drink.
- 19:58Dayna Roselli: So you can stop there.
- 19:59Dayna Roselli: You can get it before you go over to see the Backstreet Boys of the Sphere, uh, or whenever.
- 20:04Dayna Roselli: And we got to talk to him about the drink, then the single, his Puerto Rican roots, the Backstreet Boys, all that coming up in a minute.
- 20:12Dayna Roselli: But I wanted to go through this cocktail really quick because I'm learning all sorts of new words today.
- 20:18Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 20:18Dayna Roselli: So I had no idea.
- 20:19Dayna Roselli: First of all, it was delicious.
- 20:21Dayna Roselli: I don't like sweet, and the drink is not sweet, but it has coconut water.
- 20:24Dayna Roselli: It's called the Cokey cocktail, named after a single.
- 20:27Dayna Roselli: Coconut water, coconut rum, blue, how do you say it, Sean?
- 20:32Sean McAllister: Curacao.
- 20:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I thought it always thought it was curaco.
- 20:37Sean McAllister: I actually have a bottle of uh blue curosao from curasao, from the island.
- 20:44Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 20:44Sean McAllister: That's really Southern Caribbean, yeah.
- 20:46Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 20:46Dayna Roselli: Okay, so blue, say it again, cucacao?
- 20:49Sean McAllister: Curacao, yeah.
- 20:49Dayna Roselli: Okay, coconut water, coconut rum, prosecco, lemon juice, and edible flour.
- 20:53Dayna Roselli: It's delicious and refreshing.
- 20:55Dayna Roselli: We loved it.
- 20:56Dayna Roselli: Um, but it was fun to meet Howie and chat with him.
- 20:59Dayna Roselli: He's so nice.
- 21:00Sean McAllister: Such a good guy.
- 21:01Sean McAllister: And there were so many of his fans who were stretched down the stairs through the restaurant, just waiting to see Howie and get their first taste of the Cokey cocktail.
- 21:12Dayna Roselli: First of all, you had some big news today that your song entered the charts.
- 21:15Dayna Roselli: What was it, the Spanish Contemporary Charts?
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: Spanish Contemporary Charts, we entered it at number 38.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: So I'm so honored and very proud.
- 21:21SPEAKER_00: Uh, I think we also got word that we are number one most added to the radio stations today.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: So it's a it's been a very big blessed day for me.
- 21:29Dayna Roselli: Uh, talk about this song and where you decided to do this song and where it all came from.
- 21:34SPEAKER_00: So uh the whole this is actually a passion project for me.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: Um my mother's Puerto Rican, and I grew up in a household uh back in the 70s, with my father being an all American, kind of good old southern boy that Spanish was not really spoken in my house.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: Uh my mother did what she thought was best and tried to make an ass as Americanized as possible so we wouldn't have, you know, get bullied or discriminated and everything.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: And uh but as I've always felt.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Latin in me.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: And even within the Backstreet Boys as traveling around the world, I've always made sure that people know that I'm part Puerto Rican.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: And this has been a project that I've been wanting to do for years, but I just haven't really found the right timing and space that felt right.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: And now it feels right for me because I think right now the world is ready for music.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: The boundaries I feel like are not as up as they were when I first tried it years ago.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: I think, you know, especially here in the States.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: I mean, Latin music is so big now with people like Bad Bunny and stuff like that bringing it a lot of attention.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: Even, you know, Korean K-pop music is so big here in the States now.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: And so I just feel like the timing's right.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: I think the, you know, the fans are, I think, are ready for it.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: They've been asking me forever about doing it.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: And, you know, a lot of our fans have told me in the past that they learned English to understand our music.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: And so for me, that's what inspired me.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: I said, you know what?
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: Why don't I take my music, Backstreet, my our hits, and some of my favorites, and translate them in Spanish to kind of give back to them.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: And so, like I say, it's as well as my mother's, you know, God bless her, is 92 years old.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: So I want to do this for her and also for my kids to continue on the culture and the heritage in them.
- 23:05Dayna Roselli: I agree.
- 23:06Dayna Roselli: I was gonna say we went to a show, I think it was Mark Anthony, and the room was alive.
- 23:09Dayna Roselli: And a lot of the songs were in Spanish, but now I downloaded them and I'm singing in Spanish.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: I'm actually going to see Mark Anthony tonight.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: I'm really honored.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: I'm good friends with him.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: So excited to see his show.
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: And yeah, I mean, he inspired me years ago, uh, you know, just doing his music.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: And sometimes I wouldn't understand the words, but I would be like, I just like I like it, you know.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: And that's what's great about even this song here as well.
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: Like, I have a people, a lot of people who are not Hispanic that are like, we don't know what you're saying, but it's a good song.
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: And we find ourselves like, you know, singing along with it.
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: So that's uh that's a little bit of uh lightning in a and a bottle, I guess.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: We caught that magic.
- 23:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I was just talking to a fan out there, and they're like, it's just so great.
- 23:46Dayna Roselli: Even the cocktail just sitting with you know the song Koki, like it just is a vibe, and it that's a nice feeling too to do uplifting songs.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: I mean, this is uh, like I say, the song Koki was uh not obviously it's not a Backstreet song, so it wasn't my original intention of coming out with it, but we we quincently started writing some originals and we stumbled upon this this great song, and it just it feels like a good summer song.
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: It you know, we actually I shot the music video in Puerto Rico.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: Um so it's it's one of those kind of songs I feel like we captured the essence, the energy of the island.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: And I think when you listen to the song, it just you want to have a co key drink and be sitting out on the you know on the beach just you know enjoying yourself.
- 24:23Dayna Roselli: You've been spending a lot of time in Vegas, obviously.
- 24:25Dayna Roselli: Um what do you do for fun here?
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: So right now I'm blessed to have my family out with me.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: So a lot of uh what I do for fun is what you know what I can do for the kids to keep them entertained.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: Um so we're getting a lot of like outdoor sun action, pull action.
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: Um but in the past, I mean we've come, I've uh I've gotten recently my pilot's license and I did some training actually here last time we were here for residency.
- 24:47SPEAKER_00: So I was able to take with my instructor to bring the family over the Grand Canyon, over the Hoover Dam.
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: Um we've gone doom buggying out here, and there's a lot out here in Vegas, even out off the strip that that's it's very entertaining for the family.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: We obviously we try to go see as many shows as we can.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: My kids are really big into magic, and uh so they love seeing all the different shows out here, and so it's it's a lot of fun.
- 25:06SPEAKER_00: I I I really enjoy coming to Vegas.
- 25:07Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's nice to have the family here too with you.
- 25:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 25:10Dayna Roselli: Did you ever expect the sphere show to just keep going and going and going like it has?
- 25:15Dayna Roselli: I mean, I know I asked Nick this and he said no, and but I mean I'm just curious your take.
- 25:19Dayna Roselli: I mean, was that the vision or was it just we're gonna go do a few shows and see how it goes?
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: No, it's definitely exceeded my expectation.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: I mean, I uh originally we had always talked about, you know, making the 25th anniversary of the Millennium uh tour that we did years ago.
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: And the concept of that was going back to the arenas and doing the show in the round, like really like replicating that show.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: And then um, you know, a great thing about with the Baxter Boys is we're all about communicating and you know, making sure everybody's comfortable.
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: None of us want anybody to do anything or feel pressured or whatever.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: And actually, Kevin came to us, we were talking about doing a world tour.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: Kevin came to us and said, guys, he's like, you know, you I have you have my support, I'll do this for sure.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: But he's like, I can definitely say I might be a little sad throughout the year because it was his son's senior year.
- 26:03SPEAKER_00: And he's like, you know, for me to miss out on some of these moments with him, I won't be able to get back.
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: And so we were like, bro, let's figure this out.
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: And so we started talking about what we could do to still capitalize upon this 25th anniversary because it's it's here this year, or was it there last year?
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: And so the idea of Vegas came up again, and I wasn't sure if it was like too soon or not since our last residency here.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: Um we said, all right, let's go, let's see what we get.
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: I I thought we'd probably get like, you know, planet Hollywood again or Park MGM, but our management said we're going for sphere.
- 26:31SPEAKER_00: And I was like, good luck with that.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: I don't think that's gonna be a possibility.
- 26:35SPEAKER_00: That's like for the Eagles or you two.
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: And sure enough, to my surprise, they they embraced the idea of us coming.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: Um, I think at first it was gonna be, we were gonna go on sale for, I don't know, three or six or nine shows at first, but they could tell from the algorithms of people that were signing up that we were already ready to start adding more.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: So I think before the first uh ticket went on sale, we had already added.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: I think at that point, uh it just kept on going.
- 27:02SPEAKER_00: You know, 19, I mean uh nine shows, then 12 shows, then 15, then 18.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: And the first run to get to 21 shows was amazing.
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: I thought that's probably where it would end.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: Um, for us to be asked to come back again just shows how great a fan base that we have and how amazing they are.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, to hear even uh some of the other hotels and stuff that are are so grateful, they're saying we're so grateful you guys are here helping the economy.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: Um it's just it's a blessing.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: You know, we we really feel like you know, Vegas is gonna become like a second home to us.
- 27:34Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because you see that, you know, the swarm of white, and also if you go to dinner like a little bit early, you see everyone in the dining room in white.
- 27:40Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 27:40Dayna Roselli: You're like, wait, it's 4 30.
- 27:42Dayna Roselli: Where's everyone going?
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: To work to a concert, you know, they're coming to a Backstreet concert.
- 27:45SPEAKER_00: And like we say, hopefully they're not getting red wine or tomato sauce spilled on them because they're all in white.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: And that's it, that's even funny within itself.
- 27:52SPEAKER_00: And we we we put that out there and thought it'd maybe be the first weekend.
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: Now it's like it's it's it's almost turned into like a cult.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: And um, it's really cool to see that you know the fans have embraced it.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: It's it's it's truly like a night out, it's an experience.
- 28:04Dayna Roselli: And what a pleasure for you to just you guys are having fun doing it.
- 28:07Dayna Roselli: I mean, when you can go out and have fun, yep, uh, and uh you know you know exactly what your the mission is, yeah, it's gotta be just a great feeling in life at this time in your life.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: It's truly a blessing.
- 28:17SPEAKER_00: I mean, honestly, I didn't think we would have this second, you know, coming again.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: I thought, you know, I was just so blessed with the the late 90s and the early 2000s when we had our our hits and everything out there.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: And um, you know, I just I I kind of thought that was that was what it was what what it was.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: You know, we always carried the torch even after that, you know.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: We went through the ups and downs like a lot of artists do, and to but to be able to have this second time at this level, as as big as it is, is is a true blessing, that's for sure.
- 28:46Dayna Roselli: Well, I love your drink.
- 28:47Dayna Roselli: I love the color.
- 28:48Dayna Roselli: Now, every time I see a cocktail, I have never seen this color, and I'm all for it.
- 28:52SPEAKER_00: So it's it's an adaptation of what we try to represent the little cookie frog, which is a little he's he's like a like a greenish-bluish color.
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: Um, it's it's this frog, it's in Puerto Rico, um, and you hear it at night, and it just it makes such a beautiful sound.
- 29:07SPEAKER_00: A lot of times people will sleep with their doors open.
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: It makes this little cookie sound.
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: And um now I think there's even rain apps you can find that have them on it, but it's just it's the frog, you can't take it off the island.
- 29:18SPEAKER_00: I actually just heard recently that it is on, I think possibly now in Hawaii, uh, but for the longest time it was just indigenous to Puerto Rico, and they couldn't transfer any the frog would just die.
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: But somehow and I think I just heard recently that they with some plants uh it came over.
- 29:35SPEAKER_00: And uh so now it's over there as well.
- 29:37SPEAKER_00: But it is it is definitely like the Puerto Rican mascot you see like on the flags, on postcards, and everything.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: And it's just you know, it's something that for me, I usually you know, I've I've had great fond memories of always going to Puerto Rico as a little kid.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: I even have a place there for my mom I bought years later.
- 29:51SPEAKER_00: And it's just it's such a magical little island.
- 29:53SPEAKER_00: So I'm I'm trying to do everything I can to embrace my Latin heritage right now.
- 29:57Dayna Roselli: He was fun, so easygoing.
- 29:58Dayna Roselli: That cocktail is beautiful, by the way.
- 30:00Dayna Roselli: Go to our Instagram or go to our YouTube if you want to actually see it.
- 30:04Dayna Roselli: It really is a cool looking cocktail.
- 30:05Sean McAllister: Yeah, it is.
- 30:06Sean McAllister: And the and the cokie is that little frog.
- 30:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because of cookie.
- 30:11Dayna Roselli: Cookie, cookie.
- 30:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I'm glad the single's doing well and he got a chance to do this.
- 30:15Dayna Roselli: You know, you can tell sometimes, you know.
- 30:17Dayna Roselli: It's you know, when you're in these bands that are a group and you're known for, sometimes you like to do your own thing.
- 30:22Dayna Roselli: And listen, let's be honest, now's the time to do it, right?
- 30:25Dayna Roselli: Because you have the exposure going.
- 30:27Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 30:28Sean McAllister: And it was so nice to see um that it was the exact day that his new single was on the charts, right?
- 30:39Dayna Roselli: And I love that he said it entered at 38.
- 30:41Dayna Roselli: Like he was proud of that.
- 30:42Dayna Roselli: And that just to me shows that there's a lot of singers out there and songwriters and all that that would be like never mention it if it didn't come in right at number one.
- 30:52Dayna Roselli: But I love how he was so excited that it entered the charts at 38.
- 30:57Sean McAllister: Because that's a big accomplishment.
- 31:00Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 31:00Sean McAllister: To be on the charts, period, is a big accomplishment.
- 31:04Dayna Roselli: It's good for him.
- 31:05Dayna Roselli: Uh yeah, you like you said, there it was fun to see all the fans lined up for the fan club event after they got to do meet and greet.
- 31:10Dayna Roselli: The battery boys have been making themselves really accessible around Las Vegas, centering around this show with a sphere.
- 31:17Dayna Roselli: So it is an event.
- 31:18Dayna Roselli: Um they got shows, I think, all the way through to the August 29th, and they're doing that special show after the F1 race in November.
- 31:26Dayna Roselli: Um Germany, they're off to Germany in between.
- 31:33Sean McAllister: A lot of shows.
- 31:34Sean McAllister: Who knew the Baxter Boys were uh a huge hit in Germany?
- 31:38Dayna Roselli: Well, should we bring the Mabra word?
- 31:40Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh, we can do that.
- 31:43Sean McAllister: Gondechet.
- 31:47Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh, too funny.
- 31:49Dayna Roselli: It all ties together, doesn't it?
- 31:53Sean McAllister: Somehow.
- 31:53Dayna Roselli: Somehow.
- 31:54Sean McAllister: What a crazy Vegas web we weave.
- 31:57Dayna Roselli: I mean, we really hit on a lot of things today.
- 31:59Dayna Roselli: Triple Mania, the last splash, the bachelorette party, the large, however you say it, Rotworth.
- 32:09Dayna Roselli: We have a lot of giant things.
- 32:11Sean McAllister: We should go back and redo the open to the show and have it be a supersized edition of Vegas Revealed, episode 232.
- 32:20Dayna Roselli: And the Backstreet Boys playing at the sphere, which is large, the only venue in the world.
- 32:26Dayna Roselli: Oh, larger than life!
- 32:27Sean McAllister: Larger than life!
- 32:28Dayna Roselli: Look at that.
- 32:29Dayna Roselli: There you go.
- 32:30Dayna Roselli: All right, I love it.
- 32:31Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 32:32Dayna Roselli: Thanks for listening, everyone.
- 32:33Dayna Roselli: I think that's it today.
- 32:34Dayna Roselli: We're out of giggles.
- 32:35Dayna Roselli: We'll see you next.
- 32:36Dayna Roselli: We'll talk to you next week.
