- 0:01SPEAKER_00: So Jesus said that he'd give us that comforter, and he was talking about himself as the Spirit.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: And so he gave us Himself, somebody.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: And this morning I want to talk to us about something that's very powerful, very important.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: We can see it.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: It's something that the body of Christ has to understand and know and see.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: And I want to start in Galatians chapter 2.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: And look at this thing that we, this passage, this little verse of scripture that we all know real, real well.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: And it has this beautiful idea in it.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: And to most Christians, it's a it's a quest, it's a goal.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: It's uh something to strive for.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: It's something that in the mind of Christians they feel like they're trying to get to.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: And in verse 20 is this beautiful verse, and it says, Paul speaking says, I have been crucified with Christ.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: It's no longer I who live, but it's Christ that lives in me.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: And the life that I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: Now, as I said, to some it's a quest, it's something to try to attain, a position, a condition that's going to be wonderful and beautiful.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: And then on the other side of it, there's there are those who think that it's merely a legality that we try to convince ourselves is true.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: That we're doing something with our mind alone, and we are we are trying to convince ourselves that we are crucified.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: So we go around as Christians say, okay, I'm crucified with Christ, I'm dead to the world, and that's not a bad thing in itself, but there's another option here.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: It's not either that or that.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: There's a relationship that we want to get to.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: He says, I live by the faith in this person.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: I live by faith in somebody, not something, not a formula that I derived only from the scriptures, not by something I willed myself into, but this whole thing happens by faith in this person, the Son of God, who loved me.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: Get that one, who loved me and gave himself for me.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: Now, in this thing, in this whole thing is this beautiful, powerful thing of Paul giving us something that's that is so dramatic and dynamic we see it, to the thought of being crucified to this world and living by faith in the Son of God, living real really in that, crucified to this world.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: And it seems to be uh a strange thing because so many Christians feel like they're trying to get there or trying to get somewhere.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: And uh, and in fact, in chapter 6 of Galatians, Paul also made this statement.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: He says, if I'm going to glory in anything, it'll only be in the cross of Christ.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: By him, this world has been crucified to me, and I have been crucified to the world.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: Now, the world, the word world does not mean terra, the planet that we're standing on.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: It means cause it's the word cosmos, which means the order, the system, the arrangement, uh, the system that man lives under and has lived under since the fall of man in the garden.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: But Paul says this world or this system, this order, this arrangement of living, this arrangement of existing, this arrangement of doing things has been crucified to me.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: I'm dead to it, and it's dead to me.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: It's been cut off from me.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: I don't have any, I don't owe it anything, and it doesn't owe me anything.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: I have been crucified from it, I've been delivered, I've been crucified to it, and I've been delivered from it, and it's been crucified to me.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: It's dead to me.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: I don't have the respect, I don't have the awe of it that I once had.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: I don't, I am no longer the victim of it that I once was.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: I no longer find myself working for it like I once did.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: Working for that system, working to keep that man's system going and working for it and working for it, and doing all the things that that system demanded of me.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: That it promised that if I would do these things for it, that it would make me happy, it would make me successful, it would make me secure, it would make me healthy, it would do these things.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: Uh, and in and and religion comes also into that world system because he followed a religion that really was still under the flesh, that was still under a part of a world system.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: It was a man's covenant, it was God dealing with man according to the flesh, and so it was up to man's flesh to try to work for it.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: And so he talks so much so so so much about that.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: Now, I want to go to Luke chapter 12.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: Quickly as I can.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: Look at this conversation that Jesus was having.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: Now, he was teaching, teaching people, he was doing a teaching here, and uh.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: And uh one of the things he says there is in verse 11.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: He says, Now when they bring you to the synagogues and the magistrates and authorities, don't worry about how or what you should answer or what you should say, because the Holy Spirit will tell you in that very hour what you ought to say.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: What's he talking about?
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: Somebody's gonna be with you.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: Relationship.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: Somebody's gonna somebody's gonna care about you, somebody's gonna be caring for you, someone's gonna be there with you, someone's gonna be helping you.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: It's someone.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: What we're talking about today is that this crucifixion to the world, the whole thing is not a mind game.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: It entails relationship.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: This is how he says, I do it through Christ who loved me and gave himself for me.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: That's how this whole thing worked.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: It's not because I figured out a new system, a new formula, a new combination for success in life.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: It was a relationship that brought me into an existence, a condition, a place that I didn't even see was available.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: I tried to find it everywhere in this world, in a system in a world's religion, in a world's system.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: And now through this relationship, that whole thing has been crucified to me because this relationship with Christ, this knowing Him, has taken me above all things.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: Therefore, he also said, I count everything before that I thought was important, that I thought was something, I count it all done.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: Compared to that more excellent thing of what?
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: Knowing Jesus Christ my Lord, knowing this person.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: Somebody say this person.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: A person is with you today.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: A person is loving you right now.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: Somebody that created this whole thing.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: Are any of you guys into like a space and astronomy and stuff?
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: You ever even try to fathom how big this universe is?
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: And how small this planet is that we're standing on?
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: And how small you are on this planet, and even smaller still, how small your day-to-day issues and problems and needs are compared to this whole universe that somebody that's bigger than all of this made it?
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: And has set all these innumerable zillions, bazillions, brosillions, whatever they are, you you can't even count them.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: And God knows everything by name, even the hairs on your head.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: And this is how, if he can be that big, then how big is his love?
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: Especially if God is love.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: If it's love that holds all those things, if it's love that created all those things, if it's love that knows you and cared enough about somebody on like you on this little dot that can't even be seen in most places in the universe.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: You can't even be seen.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: But God cared enough about you and is so infinite and so God and so perfect and so love that he cared enough about you to come to this little, almost unseen dot in the universe to love you, to be with you.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: So you wouldn't be lost and all alone in this big universe.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: And he says, somebody will be with you.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: In other words, he says, you can live in the now because somebody will be with you.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: You won't have to worry.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: And of course, he talks a lot about that, doesn't he?
- 9:02SPEAKER_00: He says, Don't take any thought.
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: In fact, he says it here.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: He goes on down here, and while he's telling these things, a guy says, that's when the guy speaks up and he says, Uh, teacher, tell my brother to invite to divide our inheritance with me.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: He's keeping the whole thing.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: And Jesus doesn't even do that.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: He just says, he says in verse uh 15, he says, beware of covetousness.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: The uh New Living Translation says, beware of all kinds of greed.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: Beware of covetousness.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: What's covetousness?
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: It's wanting things, wanting something.
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: Beware of wanting things.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: Beware of wanting something.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: This is why he misdire he redirected the question here, because the guy says, you know, I have this big need, this big issue, this big problem, my big problem in life right now, this thing that I've been dealing with, this thing that just keeps me up at night, this thing that won't let me be happy, this one thing that if we it can fix it, I'll finally be happy.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: Jesus, would you fix this for us?
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: Tell him to divide this thing like he should.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: And Jesus says, that's not even what it's about.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: That won't even make you happy.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: Beware of wanting things.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: Beware of wanting things, because your life does not consist in the abundance of things.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: It's not in the things.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: Are y'all here?
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: There's a big, big deception about the things.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: Even in the church, a lot of times, because we have these promises, and like Geneva was saying, when we get Him, we do get all these things.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: Jesus said that.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: Get the kingdom, you get all these things.
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: But because you don't see results immediately all the time, like you would like to, you become, you start getting covetousness, covetous, and you start to focus on the results of the things, and you can forget life.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: You can forget the very source of everything.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: Are you here?
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: Who created all these things?
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: Who supplied all these things that people want and and feel like they need?
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: God.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: And the Bible says God does supply.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: In fact, he says every good and perfect gift comes.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: Doesn't say it's held back from above, it says it comes.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: It comes from above.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: In life, if Jesus said that there's one will be with you, the Holy Spirit will lead you and guide you, he'll tell you what to say, that means that it'll come.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: That means what you need to know will come.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: What you need to say will come.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: Now, I walk with God, I talk to God every day.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: I'm in the Word of God.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: I I care about what I'm going to present to people when I speak, but so much of the time I have no clue by the time I get here in the morning.
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: But I am so confident in this person that I've been walking with.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: Number one, I know he loves and cares about you, so he's going to talk to you.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: I know for not number two, I know he will not leave me helpless, hapless, and alone.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: He won't just I won't get up here and just stand here and open my mouth and nothing come out.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: God will be there because there's a person that loves me and cares, and he loves you and cares, and he's going to talk to you even if I don't know what to say.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: Are you here?
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: Because it's a person.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: When I forget about the person, then I get up in my head, and then it's about me.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: It's about my performance up here.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: It's about me mesmerizing you with some great words that I can come up with.
- 12:23SPEAKER_00: But this thing's about a person.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: It's about Brad's laughing, like, ah, Rick, you ain't gonna do that.
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: I promise you.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: He says, Your life is not in the abundance of things.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: And so then he tells the story about the guy who laid up the things and then he dies, and he says, see, you lose it all in one day.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: He says, verse 21, so that's how it is with somebody that lays up things for himself, but he's not rich toward God or in relationship.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: Somebody say relationship.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: It's a person.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: Don't forget it's a person.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: That's what's important here.
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: And he says that verse 22, that's why I say to you, he says, that's why I say to you, don't worry about your life.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: Don't worry about what you're gonna eat.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: Any of y'all worry about what you're gonna eat?
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: A lot of times, in people in America, most of us don't worry about if we're gonna eat, but a lot of us start to worry about what we're gonna eat.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: Worrying about it.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: Now, there's one thing to be wise and to be good and smart and treat your body good.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: It's another thing to worry about it.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: And don't and don't worry about the body.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: Don't worry about what you're gonna put on.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: Because life is more than food.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: The body is more than clothing.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: Consider the birds.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: They don't sow nor reap, they don't gather in the storehouse or barn, but God takes care of them.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: God feeds them.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: Are you not more important than that?
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: What's he doing?
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: He's telling you about a relationship.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: He says, God loves you.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: God and the birds have something going on.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: He says, and you're more important than the birds do.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: You and God have something going on.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: You have a provision.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: Why do the birds do not?
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: Why does he say those birds don't lay up a store?
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: Because they know tomorrow it'll be there.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: The early bird's gonna wake up and the worm's gonna be there.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: He said, and aren't you more important?
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: In other words, he's saying there's a flow of life, there's a provision, there's a taking care of you that's there, like it was in the garden before you started taking care of yourself.
- 14:14SPEAKER_00: He's bringing us, he brought us back home, didn't he?
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: This is what he's talking about.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: He's talking about before the fall of man, that's how it is, and I'm bringing you home now.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: I'm bringing you back to relationship.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: He says in verse 27, consider the flowers.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: They don't work, they don't spin.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: He says, but look how beautiful God clothes them, better than Solomon in all of his glory, in all of his wealth and his riches.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: He says he wasn't clothed as good as these flowers of the field.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: And he said, And if God does that, those those that for the grass which comes and goes, then how much more will he clothe you, cover you, take care of you, O you of little faith?
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: Little faith in what?
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: Him, the person who loved you.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: That's what we're talking about.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: It's not faith in a formula, it's not faith in finding the combination and the code here that's going to work for you.
- 15:00unknown: Amen.
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: I was looking at a Christian magazine recently, and it was almost every advertisement was learn the secret of the priestly prayer.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: Learn the secret of the head of the of the Ezekiel fast.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: Learn the secret of the this and that, and it's always the mystery, and it's always these hidden codes that we haven't found yet, and we're like, ah, well, no wonder that must be the one thing I'm missing.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: I've been reading this Bible for 40 years, and I'm still still trying to attain and get it.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's this mystery of the secret code that this writer has finally come out with, and now that's going to do it.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: What are we doing?
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: We're results-oriented, and we're trying to work this thing rather than enjoy the relationship that provides things.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: Are y'all hearing me?
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: He says, so don't seek.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: Don't be don't seek what you should eat or what you should be drinking, or or and don't have an anxious mind.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: The anxious mind comes from trying to figure it out.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: The anxious mind comes from trying to decide what's right and what's wrong.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: The anxious mind is how am I going to work this?
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: The anxious mind only comes because it's because it because it all comes on you.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: So don't have the anxious mind, because these are the things that the nations of the world they all seek after that.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: But your father knows.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: Somebody say your father.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: Relationship.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: Daddy, Daddy knows that you need these things.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: See, I'm so crazy in love because I met Daddy.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: And my heart, I didn't know that's what I needed until I found him, until I met him, till I knew him.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: And my heart got fulfilled.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: I talk about that all the time.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: But I met my father, my heavenly father.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: And I found out he was good and he really cared and he loved me.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: He wasn't a father who was aloof.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: He wasn't a father that was only a disciplinarian, just trying to make sure that I did everything right.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: He was a father who cared, who loved me, and who provides in ways that my earthly daddy, in all of his best efforts, never could.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: He says, and your father knows what you need.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: He knows you need these things, but seek the kingdom of God, and these things are added to you.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: The kingdom of God is actually about a relationship with the Father that brings righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: And he says, and don't be afraid.
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: Don't be afraid because your daddy, he says.
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: It makes your daddy happy.
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: Your daddy is happy to do this.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: You don't have to back him into a corner by saying the correct words.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: You don't have to force his hand by saying a long prayer and begging.
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: It makes your daddy happy to give you this.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: He's happy to do it.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: He wants to do it.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: This is why faith's important.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: This is why he says, Trust me.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: Because if we don't trust him, then we're going to take it out of his hands and trust ourselves somehow.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: So he says, and when you do that, he says, there's nothing for me to work for.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: It's just you.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: So through through the sacrifice of the Son, he says, now come on home.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: This whole thing about Jesus was a relationship with the Father.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: So I said, in that day, he said, you won't ask anything.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: You won't ask anything in my name, but what you excuse me, in that day you'll ask me nothing.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: That's how he said.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: In that day you'll ask me nothing, but what you ask the Father in my name, it will be done.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: Because up until now, it's been the Father and the Son, it's been Jesus and the Father.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: And he says, now I'm going to let it be you and the Father.
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: The same thing that I've walked with while you've watched me these three and a half years, the same thing I've walked with from the beginning, the same relation, the Father and the Son being one.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: Now it's going to be you and him together as one.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: He says, So, since it's your Father's good pleasure to give you this kingdom, give all that you have, and uh he says, in verse 34, because where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: So this thing's about the kingdom and being crucified of that.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: And and I wanted uh Judy to help me with this today because we we've been talking so much about this because there's questions that come to us.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: And we we do a lot of uh ministry uh around the country.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: Even individuals contact us and they wanna they want to know these things.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: How they want to know the hows.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: How do we walk with it?
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: What do you do when this happens?
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: What about when your body is sick?
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: What about when you're you know you're you're going bankrupt?
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: What about all these, how do you do, how do you, how do you live in this?
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: And what does it happen?
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: And and and and Rick, do you ever relate to this?
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: Do you ever have any stress?
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: Do you ever have any of these things?
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: And what happened?
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: There are there there's a there's a way of working this, and it's all based around on the uh relationship.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: This it always comes back to that.
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: And what were what are some of the questions that come up when we're talking about these?
- 20:04SPEAKER_02: The first thing I'm thinking of is there's somebody who's struggling with health in their body, they're not seeing the manifestation of the healing.
- 20:13SPEAKER_02: And one of their friends just got instantly healed from the same exact thing.
- 20:18SPEAKER_02: So I'm asking Rick, what do you do with that?
- 20:21SPEAKER_02: How do you do is if if your body is not healed?
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and and and and and and as a fact, I'm taking a medication medication right now.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: And and and so that could apply to me where you're where you're like, okay, well, you believe in healing and all this, and why are you okay now?
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: Well, for one thing, the Bible says we don't look at the things that are seen, but the things that are unseen, because the things that are unseen are temporary.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: So for one thing, you have a belief that that these things that you may be experiencing are temporary because you're living in life eternal and you and and believing in the one, like Jesus said, in him, trust in him, because he knows what you need.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: So, and so if you don't, what you could what you will do then is you will you will try to make yourself deserve the results in some way.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: Um and not that, I mean, it's it's not see in this relationship, you will speak the word.
- 21:16SPEAKER_00: In this relationship, truth comes out of your mouth, but it comes out naturally from this realization of where you're at, because you're in a different place.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: So, so so so so what I do with something like that is I like I get excited because I say, because that's what happens.
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: People get people do get instantly healed.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: It happens any time, any moment, any day.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: And you keep your expectation, and you don't have to try because it all comes back to the relationship.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: This is the secret to my whole success, if you will, my whole life.
- 21:46SPEAKER_00: I've come, see, I'm so excited because I've come to a place where um I'm living my dream.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: I've come to a place where I have such an overflow of joy continually.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: And there were many years I tried to talk myself into joy.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: I've come to a place where I have such peace about everything.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: If I get a bad report from the doctor, I can have such peace and not be anxious simply because I'm with somebody who loves me and I know the person.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: You understand that?
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: It's not a matter of me trying to work a formula to get healed.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: I did that for decades.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: But then I came into relationship.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: And it came with the revelation of the fullness of God and his love.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: Who loved me and gave himself for me.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: And I found out I'm with somebody that knows all of this.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: I'm with somebody that cares.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: And so what I what I what I always do when I start to get distracted and like, oh no, things are going to get bad here.
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: What do I do?
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: I remember him.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: And I say, and I'll go, okay, God, what do you say about this?
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: This doctor said for me to take this.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: What do you say?
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: And this is about being led by the Spirit also, because it's not a formula.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: A formula would say, this is I I've seen people throw medication away and die.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: I have seen it happen.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: And I've seen people throw medication away and be healed instantly.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: So which one's right?
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: Led by the Spirit.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: Walking with God.
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: It's a person.
- 23:21unknown: That's good.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: It's a person.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: See?
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: And when you're with the person, whenever you get, I don't care if it's if it's if it's a health issue or or or a money issue or whatever, when you get with the person of God, it's what I do is I just say, okay, Father, what do you say?
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: Because He's with me.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: What do you say about this?
- 23:41SPEAKER_02: Okay, here's one addition to that is do you ever have like a time period?
- 23:47SPEAKER_02: Like, okay, I believe God, I believe in, I'm walking in faith, and five years later you're like, I'm still walking in faith, I'm still okay.
- 23:57SPEAKER_02: Like, what do you do you ever experience that first of all?
- 24:01SPEAKER_02: And if you do, what do you how do you good question?
- 24:05SPEAKER_00: Very good question.
- 24:06SPEAKER_00: Do I ever experience that?
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: The truth is, honestly, no, not anymore.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: I used to all the time.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: That's where you get to, and and this is where people get to it.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: It's like, okay, God, it's been long enough.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: But what happens is is he keeps you in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on him.
- 24:23SPEAKER_00: And and and and here's something else about that.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: In God, because he's so good, and because of who he is and what he what he provides, which is life and healing and abundance and all these things, he's the source of all of that.
- 24:38SPEAKER_00: Because you're in relation with this person, um, you're, first of all, you're at home and you have the peace and rest about it.
- 24:47SPEAKER_00: So faith is automatic.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: So your faith is not wavering.
- 24:50SPEAKER_00: Now, when you're not focused on relationship but on results, your faith can start to waver because your logic will kick in and say, well, you know, if you if you were trusting God, then this would this would already be resolved.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: But but but number one is that in him there's always this faith.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: It's part of the fruit of being with him, part of the fruit of being in the spirit is is faith, faithfulness, peace, joy.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: Number two, and here's the thing that we're looking at here, the big thing about that question, why I like it, is because when we start to put look at the time period, we're that's we're becoming results-minded.
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: Things-minded.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: We're starting to look at the outward now and not the eternal.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: And Jesus said, life is more than things.
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: Life is more than the body.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: Life is more than what you eat.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: Life is more than what life is is not, he said, these are the things that all the nations of the world, this is what they're going for because they think that's life.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: They think their results, whether it's success, whether it's success in that and having this and having that, and being, and and having a body like this, and having, you know, and having all those things, they go after those things because that's the best thing they can come up with for life.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: But what Jesus is talking about, while they're talking about, they're defining life by all these things, I'm giving you a life that is so much bigger and above all that, because none of those things, while you're you, though you can you can work to try to attain and also attain many of those things.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: It won't do anything for your anxiety, your fear, your anger, your stress, your all of those things.
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: And he says, Life is the kingdom within you.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: It's God, it's Christ in you that is your hope of glory.
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: And so the big part of this is the big gist of this whole word today is remember what life really is.
- 26:54SPEAKER_00: Life is living with God, enjoying God today and a zillion years into eternity, enjoying life.
- 27:04SPEAKER_00: Life is something that's in you.
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: John defined it and he said, eternal life abides in you.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: And that's why Jesus would talk about, he was so plain about it.
- 27:15SPEAKER_00: This is a big, big thing because if you can get this and be more life-oriented rather than results-oriented, it is a tricky thing because God pro here he promises results.
- 27:29SPEAKER_00: He says these things will be added.
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: God knows you need.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: That's why we see the covenant provide provision of healing, prosperity, blessing coming in.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: We see them all in there.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: They're all wrapped up in God.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: But because it's there, it can be a little tricky for the for for for the carnality that messes with you, because then you start looking at those things that He promises.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: And you start becoming results-minded.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: And put your focus, and when you do that, you're putting your focus on the things or the results, and that's what that's what life becomes about.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: And then you get anxious, don't you?
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: You get anxious because things aren't moving fast enough.
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: You get anxious because of what the things that you hear, because of what people expected, what the doctor says, what the what you know, all you start, you start getting fear afraid, you start getting angry, you start blaming people.
- 28:17SPEAKER_00: The whole world is doing this.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: Everybody's blaming something or somebody for all these problems.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: And Jesus says, I came to I didn't come.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: I didn't come just to give you results.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: I didn't come just to take the make your life better.
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: I didn't come to take your life and give it better results.
- 28:34SPEAKER_00: I came to give you a life.
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: Because that wasn't life.
- 28:39SPEAKER_00: You guys have been doing that for thousands of years.
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: That's not life.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: I came to give you something you didn't have.
- 28:45SPEAKER_00: And so, so so the the biggest thing about is that you keep your let your results, if you want to be results-minded, let your results be that I'm with him.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: And if there's tribulation tomorrow, I'll be there with him, and that always makes it fine with me.
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: As long as I'm with him, I can handle hell.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: I can handle anything, and I have, as long as I'm with him.
- 29:11SPEAKER_02: What about um complacency?
- 29:13SPEAKER_02: The feeling like if I don't do anything and I just trust God, and five years later nothing's happening, and if I just keep going like this, am I not just being complacent and accepting a less than promised existence?
- 29:31SPEAKER_00: Absolutely good question.
- 29:33SPEAKER_00: This is why I want her to help me with this because she remembers all these questions.
- 29:37SPEAKER_00: But and this is something that that comes up a lot, and something that you you'll wrestle with as you're learning this, is because you think it's either or you think that you either have to be aggressive for the results and fight for them, and if you're not, then you're just being complacent, and complacency means that you're just settling for nothing.
- 29:55SPEAKER_00: Complacency means that you just don't care.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: Complacency means that that, you know.
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: Oh, just like I said, that's it means that you're settling for for nothing and that you just don't care.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: And and there's a third option here.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: See, in the world, it's either you have to be aggressive or you have to be complacent because both of those are about you, something you do.
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: You either have to choose this or choose that.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: But the third option is the relationship with God.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: And so I tell people, because I this is a question I get a lot because it's it's a very good question.
- 30:32SPEAKER_00: I know we all have wrestled with this, is that there's you can be aggressive but not worldly aggressive.
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: You can be, where I say where I'm aggressive, where I'm aggressive is about knowing God.
- 30:46SPEAKER_00: Where I'm aggressive about is about being loved by God.
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: Where I'm aggressive is about knowing him and knowing his love.
- 30:52SPEAKER_00: I'll make that the main thing.
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: And that's what Jesus is telling us.
- 30:55SPEAKER_00: Make that the main thing.
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: And that's not being complacent.
- 30:59SPEAKER_00: Being complacent is I just don't care if I know God.
- 31:02SPEAKER_00: Being complacent is, you know, I'll just, you know, I'll I'll meet God somewhere in the suite by and by.
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: I won't know him now.
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: It's too hard, I can't do that.
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: That's being complacent, and people quit.
- 31:13SPEAKER_00: But but what you can be strong about is this truth we're talking about here, knowing him.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: I'm with him.
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: And I think, and I don't know everything, but I do know him, and I'm knowing him more every day.
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: So this whole everything starts, it just gets better and better.
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: I'm full of joy now, but I'm getting more joy tomorrow, getting more peace.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: I'm very healthy now, but I'm getting even healthier.
- 31:37SPEAKER_00: I'm very blessed.
- 31:38SPEAKER_00: There is a flow that that continually comes to us.
- 31:41SPEAKER_00: We don't live in overflow abundance with treasures in barns like some people do, and and and I'm happy for those that do.
- 31:47SPEAKER_00: That's just not how our life is with ministry right now.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: But there's always this flow.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: And it'll only get better, see.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: That's the expectation of being in Him.
- 31:59SPEAKER_00: So it keeps you off the anxiety of being results mind and putting a timing on things.
- 32:05SPEAKER_00: That's another thing, is that you put it, like you said, you we put a timing on things.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: And when you're when you're in this thing called life that Jesus is defining here, you're in eternity.
- 32:17SPEAKER_00: And so the world is crucified to you.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: You don't have, you don't have the time limits because you're all you're living in this other thing to where you're consumed with life.
- 32:26SPEAKER_00: And all those things that you thought were so big and you had to have those things to be happy, you find out how small they really are compared to the excellency of this relationship with God that satisfies everything in you that you thought could not be satisfied until you got certain results in your life.
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: Are y'all here?
- 32:50SPEAKER_00: And so that's why he says, get the real satisfaction first, get the real treasure, get the real kingdom, get the real life, and then watch.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: I tell people, and then just watch these things play out.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: And some things you get you get quick miracles.
- 33:03SPEAKER_00: I mean, we get miracles in the mailbox, and we get we get we get happy, you know, checks we weren't expecting.
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: We get all those kinds of things, but you know, we still could use a whole lot more, you know.
- 33:16unknown: Huh?
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: Uh we're we're both very, very, very healthy, but we have things about our body that we'd like to see do better.
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: So you have this expectancy because we're with God, and God is going to lead us and guide us, like we were hearing earlier this morning.
- 33:31SPEAKER_00: It's the relationship is where it's at.
- 33:35SPEAKER_00: Are y'all y'all hearing this?
- 33:37SPEAKER_00: It's the person.
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: Don't forget that it's the person loving you is where your success is.
- 33:44SPEAKER_00: Anything else?
- 33:45SPEAKER_02: Um one last thing that I was thinking is uh pain from uh past, your past, uh abuses that abuses that you've gone through, and you know that Jesus healed them all, and but in your day-to-day life you're seeing things come out of you that are a result from those abuses.
- 34:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 34:10SPEAKER_02: And you and you kind of lean to that as your excuse for why you're behaving this way.
- 34:16SPEAKER_02: It's sort of like a tie to your past.
- 34:20SPEAKER_02: Even though you know in your mind Jesus has taken care of it, you're physically seeing things to show that it's not.
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: A couple of points there, Gareth, that last when you said, even though you know in your mind that Jesus is taking care of it, but you see these things, so that's that dichotomy that most Christians deal with, because they know the scriptures.
- 34:39SPEAKER_00: We're very, these days, we're very educated to the scriptures as a as a body of Christ.
- 34:43SPEAKER_00: So we know these things uh mentally.
- 34:47SPEAKER_00: But the but the key to knowing it in the heart is the relationship thing.
- 34:51SPEAKER_00: And so uh things like that, and most of us, I definitely have those.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: I I I I I have I have scars from my growing up, from my past.
- 34:59SPEAKER_00: I've got so many hurts and pains that God brought me through.
- 35:03SPEAKER_00: And and and I can honestly tell you that the the that the the way that they are not painful anymore, because they're not at all.
- 35:10SPEAKER_00: It's like it seemed like it was a whole different person.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: Um and when we talk about it, I look back and I think, can you believe that I was that mixed up and I was that hurt, and I was so I was that abusive to myself and I was that lost.
- 35:23SPEAKER_00: But now I'm found by a person.
- 35:26SPEAKER_00: I didn't learn, I didn't just get educated and find a formula, I didn't find a self-help thing, I didn't find, you know, the the latest thing that's going to make life better for me.
- 35:40SPEAKER_00: I met a person that changed everything.
- 35:44SPEAKER_00: And so with those healings, I have watched as just enjoying the walk with him over the years, and even when there still needed to be healing and things worked out, enjoying the walk with him and doing just like he said, and watching these things get added.
- 36:01SPEAKER_00: You just sort of find yourself just walking away from from all the effects of your painful past and the abusive past and the mistakes that even you might have made in the past.
- 36:12SPEAKER_00: You find yourself walking away and you look around and you look and you say, My goodness, I'm not that person anymore.
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: And so, a key while you're in the middle of it and you see that you still have those things working in you, they still cause, they still cause the control issues in you because you're afraid?
- 36:29SPEAKER_00: Because you felt like nobody else would protect you, so you had to protect you?
- 36:33SPEAKER_00: It comes to a faith, doesn't it, in a God, and trusting that this invisible God is true and that he is, and that he is a lover and a giver and a rewarder of those who do go after him, come to know him, and trust that this invisible God, who is eternal, while your body and all these other things are temporary.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: Trust in him that he loves you, that he wants your best and cares for you.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: And also he knows your frame.
- 36:56SPEAKER_00: He knows that you're but dust, he knows your soul, and that's why some of us we take time to get through some of these things.
- 37:02SPEAKER_00: It takes time for some of us to get to get understanding and to and to come to a place of receiving because of all those blockages we've had in our past.
- 37:10SPEAKER_00: But you know what?
- 37:10SPEAKER_00: Here's what a good thing I found.
- 37:12SPEAKER_00: God knows how to work through those with you.
- 37:15SPEAKER_00: And that's why he's not always here here's the fallacy of wanting an instant thing.
- 37:22SPEAKER_00: See, I've been I've been in deliverance ministry and I've seen deliverance.
- 37:25SPEAKER_00: I mean, I I used to do a whole lot more of laying on of hands and seeing instant deliverance from addictions and things like that.
- 37:30SPEAKER_00: We can still do that.
- 37:30SPEAKER_00: We have those gifts.
- 37:32SPEAKER_00: But I found a there's a more excellent thing.
- 37:34SPEAKER_00: Many of those people that I laid hands on, they they they go back into it, and there's always going to be a need for those things.
- 37:41SPEAKER_00: But and and what I found out, I've I've I mean, I've seen people, I've I have cast devils out of people, and their face shines so bright and their ear, their eyes sparkled with freedom, and they walked absolutely free of those things that they were that that that had had them bound uh for a time, unless they come to know what we're talking about today.
- 38:03SPEAKER_00: If they don't know this, then they're still susceptible to the same things.
- 38:07SPEAKER_00: That's what Jesus was talking about.
- 38:08SPEAKER_00: They'll come back.
- 38:12SPEAKER_00: And and so it it so I you know where we we became too addicted as a body on the instantaneous results rather than the relationship results.
- 38:24SPEAKER_02: One thing you have said in the past is that God is weaving his ways into me.
- 38:31SPEAKER_02: He's not just giving me a lobotomy and putting someone else's brain in.
- 38:34SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 38:35SPEAKER_02: He's weaving his ways into my abused history.
- 38:40SPEAKER_02: You know, he's putting his healthy ways in there with it.
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: That's a relationship.
- 38:47SPEAKER_02: So I I know I said that was the last, but like what it a lot of times people say, Well, I have a relationship.
- 38:53SPEAKER_02: I do know I do know God.
- 38:55SPEAKER_02: And it it gets irritating to hear over and over, well, a relationship with God.
- 39:01SPEAKER_02: A really well, I have a relationship with God.
- 39:03SPEAKER_02: What am I doing wrong?
- 39:05SPEAKER_02: You know, that it I'm not seeing what you see.
- 39:08SPEAKER_00: I think a lot of people I was one of those two, and I and I and here's why, here, here, here's why.
- 39:13SPEAKER_00: Is because usually the those are the the brothers and sisters that are trying to make themselves get something, trying to make themselves see something.
- 39:22SPEAKER_00: Because we do have a relationship.
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: I mean, I had a relationship the day the day I came to the Lord in April of 1979, I met Jesus.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: I entered into a relationship, but I got befuddled by a lot of the stuff that I was bombarded with that made it more about me than the faith in him.
- 39:39SPEAKER_00: And that's where most of Christianity is.
- 39:42SPEAKER_00: And so we do have a relationship, but there's this thing of where you live by faith in him, the person to where the world is crucified to you.
- 39:55SPEAKER_00: And you're and you and you are totally aware that you're in another world, that you're a stranger here, you're a pilgrim because you are a peculiar person, you're living in another world, you're living by a new and living way, and you're not trying to get it.
- 40:09SPEAKER_00: And so the reason that people say uh what Judy just asked, this question that we get, we get that question a lot also, is because people are still trying to get a truth, a revelation.
- 40:23SPEAKER_00: And I and I tell you, rest.
- 40:25SPEAKER_00: Don't try so hard.
- 40:26SPEAKER_00: Know him.
- 40:27SPEAKER_00: Count it all done for the excellency of knowing him.
- 40:29SPEAKER_00: Know Jesus.
- 40:30SPEAKER_00: He knows how to talk to you.
- 40:32SPEAKER_00: He knows how to get it to you.
- 40:33SPEAKER_00: If he can get some of these things to me, my goodness, you've got a great chance.
- 40:39SPEAKER_00: And I mean that.
- 40:40SPEAKER_00: I mean that.
- 40:40SPEAKER_00: I wish people could see a fast-forward movie of my whole uh my whole past where they could see how I struggled, how I was crying out, saying, God, why is it I can't hear your voice?
- 40:50SPEAKER_00: Why is it that I don't know how to be led by your spirit?
- 40:53SPEAKER_00: Why is it that I that I that I struggle with all these things?
- 40:56SPEAKER_00: And this is, and and and I came to about 18 years ago, I came to a revelation of God's love for me, and it became more about just enjoying Him.
- 41:07SPEAKER_00: And things are not perfect in my life by any stretch, but I'm in heaven.
- 41:13SPEAKER_00: In the world there's tribulation, but in Him there's peace.
- 41:18SPEAKER_02: I I agree with that, that you're not perfect, like but I've never met a per a human being who has as much room as you do for other people's failings, for things not going the way you you expect them.
- 41:36SPEAKER_02: Your heart has this room in it that is so beautiful to see.
- 41:41SPEAKER_02: I've never I've never seen anything like it.
- 41:43SPEAKER_02: That there's there's room, and so people can mess up and around you, uh things can go wrong.
- 41:51SPEAKER_02: I've never seen you fly off the handle.
- 41:53SPEAKER_02: I mean, I think I've seen you get a little bit frustrated, but compared to me, I mean, you it's like so e there's room, and I guess the reason why I'm saying that is it reminds me that God has room for us to fall on our face, or f you know, He has room for us to fail.
- 42:15SPEAKER_00: Good that's that's good.
- 42:17SPEAKER_00: It brings up two good points.
- 42:19SPEAKER_00: Number one, the reason I like the way that you said it, it makes you have room, is because my heaven is not tied to what other people do or the or the situations that happen.
- 42:30SPEAKER_00: That's the world being crucified to you.
- 42:33SPEAKER_00: Your life and your heaven is all tied to this relationship with the one who's for you.
- 42:40SPEAKER_00: So you're gonna be alright.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: And if man is against you, who can or man, you know, how will you fear what man says to you?
- 42:48SPEAKER_01: The reason you can minister to others, the Bible says comfort those wherein you've been comforted.
- 42:54SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 42:55SPEAKER_01: And I was just thinking, you know, when we begin to realize that we are the righteousness of God, and that we're not the same old person for a week.
- 43:04SPEAKER_01: We're a new creation.
- 43:06SPEAKER_01: So when all those little things in the past come up, you say, Well, that's dead.
- 43:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: I died for that, I'm a new creation in Christ.
- 43:14SPEAKER_00: And begin to realize who we really are.
- 43:17SPEAKER_00: The truth.
- 43:18unknown: We are the righteousness of God in Christ.
- 43:20SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 43:21SPEAKER_01: And so when we begin to think about that, then all this other stuff begins to fade away.
- 43:25SPEAKER_01: Because that old man died.
- 43:27SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 43:28SPEAKER_01: Well, we accepted him.
- 43:29SPEAKER_01: So when our past comes up, we say, Well, you're dead, Lord.
- 43:33SPEAKER_00: I'm a new creation.
- 43:35SPEAKER_00: And that's so good.
- 43:37SPEAKER_00: That's exactly right.
- 43:38SPEAKER_00: That's what we're talking about here.
- 43:40SPEAKER_00: That we are dead to it.
- 43:41SPEAKER_00: It's crucified him.
- 43:42SPEAKER_00: Now, another point about what Judy just brought up is that, you know, she said it makes her look at God that way and say, Wow, God has lots of room for failing.
- 43:55SPEAKER_00: You know why?
- 43:56SPEAKER_00: Because, contrary to popular church belief, God is not as results-oriented as we think he is.
- 44:05SPEAKER_00: He's relationship-oriented.
- 44:09SPEAKER_00: That's why he made the new covenant, because the results, the Old Testament was all about results-oriented.
- 44:16SPEAKER_00: He said, He made a new covenant where he would be with us.
- 44:20SPEAKER_00: And being with us would be this.
- 44:21SPEAKER_00: Somebody asked the other day, said, said, Well, do you think Jesus died because he saw our potential?
- 44:27SPEAKER_00: He died for the potential?
- 44:28SPEAKER_00: And I said, No.
- 44:30SPEAKER_00: No.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: He died while we were sinners.
- 44:33SPEAKER_00: He died because he loved us and wanted to be with us right now, while we were yet sinners.
- 44:39SPEAKER_00: But he also knows how it worked, what relationship does.
- 44:42SPEAKER_00: Relationship makes everything else right.
- 44:45SPEAKER_00: But it wasn't just, it wasn't, he's not just results-oriented.
- 44:48SPEAKER_00: That's why I tell people, he's not trying to get the sin out of your life.
- 44:52SPEAKER_00: He's loving you, and that'll take care of that.
- 44:57SPEAKER_00: And so that's why God has lots of room for us, because he's not results-oriented with you.
- 45:02SPEAKER_00: He's not saying, come on, get with it.
- 45:04SPEAKER_00: What he's saying is, I love you.
- 45:06SPEAKER_00: Hear me say it again.
- 45:08SPEAKER_00: He says, I love you.
- 45:09SPEAKER_00: He says, know that.
- 45:10SPEAKER_00: He says, if you know that, you're set for eternity.
- 45:15SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 45:16SPEAKER_00: Hope this was a blessing to you.
- 45:17SPEAKER_00: God bless you.
- 45:18SPEAKER_00: Have a really good afternoon.
- 45:20SPEAKER_00: Enjoy that beautiful day out there.
- 45:21SPEAKER_00: We'll see you all next week.
