- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: It's a special episode of the Almost Famous podcast.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Ashley and myself are back.
- 0:11Speaker 2: From an amazing weekend in the mountains. We have so
- 0:13Speaker 2: many stories to talk about and break down about the wedding.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Most of those are gonna occur in a podcast that
- 0:20Speaker 2: we're recording with two other people who were at this wedding,
- 0:24Speaker 2: Tanya and Becca, and they have some great stories as well.
- 0:28Speaker 2: But Ashley and I have some personal things to figure out.
- 0:31Speaker 2: I'm going to try to tell a little story here
- 0:34Speaker 2: and then we'll get into headlines today and as I said,
- 0:37Speaker 2: with deep dive into the wedding here in the next episode.
- 0:40Speaker 2: But there's two stories that kind of happen that don't
- 0:42Speaker 2: really give the details of the wedding. Leading up to
- 0:46Speaker 2: this wedding, I had told Ashley. Ashley, it gets really
- 0:48Speaker 2: cold at night in Colorado, like right now, it's down.
- 0:51Speaker 2: It's amazing. It's amazing how cold it gets. It's beautiful
- 0:58Speaker 2: during the day, free at night. We were in the mountains.
- 1:01Speaker 2: We won't get the location until the next episode. Well,
- 1:05Speaker 2: I tell her this and then I don't know. Twenty
- 1:08Speaker 2: four hours later, I'm on a text stard with like
- 1:09Speaker 2: four girls.
- 1:11Speaker 4: No, we were already on the textrad though.
- 1:14Speaker 2: They're they're freaking out on me, like oh my gosh,
- 1:17Speaker 2: are we going to die?
- 1:19Speaker 3: And I'm like no.
- 1:20Speaker 2: And then I started feeling guilty, like I think I've
- 1:22Speaker 2: ruined Dean and Kiln's wedding and I've like given it
- 1:24Speaker 2: a bad name. But I was serious when I was like,
- 1:28Speaker 2: I love Ashley, and I love Ashley like a sister
- 1:32Speaker 2: to me, and I would not want a sibling of
- 1:34Speaker 2: mine to go to the mountains unprepared, and there were
- 1:36Speaker 2: people there unprepared.
- 1:38Speaker 4: You prepared me. I took two good coats and I
- 1:40Speaker 4: was not cold. I was never really.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Cold, but you would have been.
- 1:44Speaker 4: But you freaked me out thinking that there was like
- 1:46Speaker 4: going to be what one You know that I was
- 1:47Speaker 4: freaked out because like I wasn't going to be able
- 1:49Speaker 4: to talk to Dawson, which I was because we were
- 1:51Speaker 4: in a special little area with why.
- 1:52Speaker 2: But again I wasn't exactly wrong saying if you aren't
- 1:56Speaker 2: in the main cabin, their Wi Fi is limited. So
- 2:00Speaker 2: I'm gonna share this. So I'm on this thread, and
- 2:02Speaker 2: all of a sudden, I get like these girls worrying
- 2:05Speaker 2: how cold it is. They're freaking out, and I'm like, hey,
- 2:08Speaker 2: it is going to be cold. I'm glad you've all
- 2:10Speaker 2: asked prepare yourselves, but Jess, can I bring blankets? Then
- 2:16Speaker 2: at one point I think somebody asked me or I
- 2:20Speaker 2: just do it because I'm a jerk. They're like, what,
- 2:23Speaker 2: let's just say somebody asked, like, what kind.
- 2:25Speaker 4: Of see Yeah, because somebody is afraid of bears? Why
- 2:28Speaker 4: are we keeping them anonymous?
- 2:30Speaker 2: Because we're going to talk to him next episode? And
- 2:35Speaker 2: here's how the story goes down. They ask what kind
- 2:36Speaker 2: of animals we're going to see? I take a screenshot
- 2:38Speaker 2: of the place that we're staying, like warnings for what
- 2:42Speaker 2: animals will be around and after bears because there are
- 2:45Speaker 2: bears there. It says they love a good tasty treat.
- 2:49Speaker 2: The response that when I send this picture was this
- 2:51Speaker 2: person said, am I a good tasty treat? And I'm like,
- 2:54Speaker 2: you know what, at this point in my life, I
- 2:56Speaker 2: want to have a little fun with this. So I said,
- 2:58Speaker 2: you're only a tasty treat if you've had sweets or
- 3:01Speaker 2: a Snickers bar within the last five days, then bears
- 3:04Speaker 2: love you.
- 3:04Speaker 4: You were being particularly particular because he said, you said
- 3:08Speaker 4: a Snickers bar. So I was like, oh, maybe there's
- 3:12Speaker 4: something about the nuts and caramel.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Oh, it was panic on that text thread. Panic panic.
- 3:19Speaker 2: So that's one story we'll share more. The other side
- 3:22Speaker 2: is I didn't get to say goodbye to Ashley. We
- 3:23Speaker 2: won't talk about this next episode, and I don't know why,
- 3:28Speaker 2: because we came down for brunch the next morning and
- 3:30Speaker 2: I specifically asked, where's Ashley and Jared?
- 3:33Speaker 3: I really want to see them before I leave.
- 3:35Speaker 2: And we waited around, we had brunch, and then we
- 3:37Speaker 2: left because you weren't there.
- 3:40Speaker 4: Yeah, because my flight was at nine.
- 3:42Speaker 3: That's what I was wondering.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Because then on the way home, Jessica goes, oh, Ashley
- 3:45Speaker 2: and Jared are already on a flight, and I said,
- 3:47Speaker 2: I didn't know their flight was so early.
- 3:49Speaker 4: Yeah, we got to leave at six thirty.
- 3:51Speaker 3: It was poor planning on our part.
- 3:53Speaker 4: Oh, so that's why you irish goodbye because you planned
- 3:56Speaker 4: on saying us the next day. And not that I
- 3:57Speaker 4: don't care, I was making but I was like making
- 4:00Speaker 4: fun of you because I was like, Ben got too drunk.
- 4:02Speaker 2: And he so I I had. I had two cocktails
- 4:06Speaker 2: on the wedding night. Oh wow, I did not have
- 4:09Speaker 2: to get put to bed like some No, I get
- 4:12Speaker 2: you know this about me. Yeah, I get really socially exhausted.
- 4:16Speaker 2: And at one point I was in a conversation with
- 4:18Speaker 2: well because I go, go, go, and then all of
- 4:21Speaker 2: a sudden, I was in a conversation with somebody that
- 4:23Speaker 2: I really like, and I realized that like I wasn't listening,
- 4:26Speaker 2: I wasn't engaged, I was tired, and so I just
- 4:31Speaker 2: told Jess, hey, you don't have to but like I know,
- 4:33Speaker 2: my best self is gone now, like it's not coming
- 4:36Speaker 2: back tonight and so nice. Instead of staying here and
- 4:39Speaker 2: like fighting this, I had such a blast that I
- 4:42Speaker 2: want to leave with a good memory of this wedding
- 4:44Speaker 2: and not the fact that like I stayed up way
- 4:47Speaker 2: later and I should have and I ended up being
- 4:48Speaker 2: a jerk to somebody.
- 4:50Speaker 4: Oh I really respect that, because I feel like a
- 4:53Speaker 4: lot of us get to that social exhaustion point, especially
- 4:57Speaker 4: one you know, like the wedding is over a six
- 4:59Speaker 4: hour but then you feel like it's rude to leave
- 5:03Speaker 4: when you feel socially spent.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I learned it from George Costanza. You leave on top
- 5:08Speaker 2: when you leave at the peak of a party.
- 5:10Speaker 4: My mom always says that.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Yeah, because for me, I wasn't trying to disrespecting and Kaylin,
- 5:17Speaker 2: I wasn't trying to like we had given like it
- 5:20Speaker 2: was all weekend. It was one hundred percent of our weekend. Yeah,
- 5:23Speaker 2: you know, we're around each other. And I thought my
- 5:26Speaker 2: best self would be offered to them if like I
- 5:29Speaker 2: was still my best self. Now, that might be selfish
- 5:31Speaker 2: and you could probably argue to some selfishness and that.
- 5:34Speaker 2: But I went back and it was it was nine thirty,
- 5:38Speaker 2: like and the way you know we had Yeah, so
- 5:42Speaker 2: and I had a big night the night before.
- 5:44Speaker 4: Well, so I kind of switched I when we were
- 5:46Speaker 4: going to play games the night before on Friday night. Yeah,
- 5:50Speaker 4: Jared and I had already planned. We're like, oh, around nine,
- 5:52Speaker 4: we'll go to bed, but then like gay a game
- 5:54Speaker 4: started at nine, and I was like, oh, no, I'm
- 5:57Speaker 4: going to lose myself. So we're like, okay, find the
- 6:00Speaker 4: one game and then we gotta go up there because
- 6:02Speaker 4: if we don't go retreat from this, then we'll be
- 6:05Speaker 4: too spend for the next day. So we totally understand
- 6:08Speaker 4: the balance and what my It's interesting that you say
- 6:11Speaker 4: that you leave the party at peak, because my mom
- 6:14Speaker 4: always taught me you have to like design your party
- 6:18Speaker 4: to like you leave when you're having you want them
- 6:20Speaker 4: to leave when they're having fun. So like whether the
- 6:23Speaker 4: party like ends like an hour before, that's how That's
- 6:26Speaker 4: how I felt like we were with our wedding where
- 6:28Speaker 4: it was like I.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Had a blast, and I will leave.
- 6:30Speaker 2: I left the wedding and I woke up the next
- 6:32Speaker 2: day and I was like, that was one of the
- 6:33Speaker 2: most incredible.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Weddings I've ever been to.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Yeah, but if I would have stayed another hour and
- 6:38Speaker 2: a half, I think I would have woken up the
- 6:41Speaker 2: next morning but like, I'm exhausted. That was a great wedding,
- 6:43Speaker 2: but I'm so tired. But I didn't feel that way.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Well, I love that social lesson that you just taught us.
- 6:48Speaker 2: All. Yeah, it's just something I found out about myself
- 6:51Speaker 2: that you know when it's time, and it was time
- 6:54Speaker 2: for me.
- 6:55Speaker 3: I gave it my all.
- 6:56Speaker 2: We walked into the cabin that night and I said, Jessica,
- 6:58Speaker 2: I gave it my all tonight. I had a blast,
- 7:02Speaker 2: but I gave my all and my all is now gone.
- 7:05Speaker 4: I have this Instagram reel that I'm going to post
- 7:07Speaker 4: of you. It's like my work husband when he goes
- 7:10Speaker 4: to wattings basically, and you'll see peek Ben Higgins and
- 7:16Speaker 4: you'll see how much he exerted.
- 7:18Speaker 3: I gave it a lot.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Actually, final question before we get in the headlines, speaking
- 7:24Speaker 2: of work spouses. I wondered this in a drive home.
- 7:28Speaker 2: I was talking to Jess about this.
- 7:29Speaker 3: You and I.
- 7:30Speaker 2: You know, it's funny like at the wedding, I think
- 7:33Speaker 2: we both made the joke. We talk to each other
- 7:35Speaker 2: every week, multiple times. We see each other in person
- 7:38Speaker 2: very rarely. But if there's if there's five people in
- 7:42Speaker 2: my life that I know I think the most about
- 7:45Speaker 2: what's currently going on in their life, it's you. Like
- 7:48Speaker 2: you fall in that category because there's not a lot
- 7:50Speaker 2: that like slip through the cracks with us. We just
- 7:52Speaker 2: talk about stuff and we talk about it all the time. Yeah,
- 7:55Speaker 2: and so when you see me at a wedding, and
- 7:58Speaker 2: obviously we have a special relationship one that like I
- 8:01Speaker 2: could probably embarrass you, you could probably embarrass me, But
- 8:04Speaker 2: we're also very endearing towards each other.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Are you proud of me?
- 8:09Speaker 4: Yeah? Always?
- 8:11Speaker 3: Okay, good, I just want I'm proud of you.
- 8:12Speaker 4: I was proud of my Gosh, I'm always proud of you.
- 8:15Speaker 2: It would be embarrassing if you're like, yeah, but like
- 8:17Speaker 2: he's my codes but he kind of sucks and like just.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Obligated.
- 8:22Speaker 4: I'm always so in hout of you.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Okay, good, Well, it was a lot of fun. We
- 8:26Speaker 2: have a lot to talk about like that. I know
- 8:28Speaker 2: that feels like we just talked about a lot of
- 8:30Speaker 2: the wedding we did it, Like there's so much more
- 8:32Speaker 2: to break down and like amazing stories and memories and becon.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Tanya will be coming on this podcast, uh to record
- 8:39Speaker 2: a separate episode where we go to the details of
- 8:42Speaker 2: Dean and Kielan's wedding and.
- 8:43Speaker 3: We'll just tease it with this.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Uh. For me, it was one of the most special
- 8:47Speaker 2: weekends I've had in my memory, just with people I
- 8:51Speaker 2: love in one place together.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Yeah, and I there's another wedding coming up that I
- 8:57Speaker 4: feel like a couple of the same people will be
- 8:59Speaker 4: real niged soon and it makes it made me feel
- 9:02Speaker 4: good because I was having such a good time there.
- 9:04Speaker 4: I was like, Oh, I hope that we can like
- 9:06Speaker 4: kind of have this round all over again in a
- 9:09Speaker 4: couple of weeks.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think we will, but just different, just different.
- 9:12Speaker 2: So yeah, we'll going to Deana Caaln's wedding again. We
- 9:15Speaker 2: got a very special episode for you. We are just
- 9:17Speaker 2: on the heels of it. I mean, we just got
- 9:19Speaker 2: home late last night from the wedding and so we
- 9:22Speaker 2: are tired, but we are fresh with our memories. We
- 9:34Speaker 2: do some big headlines to break down.
- 9:37Speaker 4: Today's big, big, big big imagination.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Some follow ups from past headlines, and here's one of them.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Bachelor Nations Becca Koufrem gives birth to first baby with
- 9:50Speaker 2: Thomas Jacobs.
- 9:52Speaker 4: Yay, we don't. We haven't seen the kid yet, but
- 9:58Speaker 4: it happened, assuming it probably happened Secember twenty first and
- 10:02Speaker 4: twenty second. People were speculating because both of their instagrams
- 10:06Speaker 4: I got silent for two days and we haven't yees,
- 10:10Speaker 4: so we haven't seen the baby. But what they did
- 10:12Speaker 4: post was a cute picture of their front step. It
- 10:15Speaker 4: says there's a sign that says baby sleeping, Please don't
- 10:19Speaker 4: ruin this for us, and then there's another hanging that
- 10:21Speaker 4: that's what the Matt says, which I'm like, hold on,
- 10:24Speaker 4: I need to get one of those because there's so
- 10:26Speaker 4: many times like the FedEx guy Amazon ips like ring
- 10:29Speaker 4: the bell during the nap time and I'm just like,
- 10:32Speaker 4: don't ron this for me. And then there's another sign
- 10:35Speaker 4: that they had that goes baby sleeping. So then they
- 10:39Speaker 4: both posted that, and then Thomas wrote on into stories
- 10:44Speaker 4: soaking in all the love and snuggles for the time being,
- 10:47Speaker 4: but we have a new little pumpkin. Thankful, blessed and
- 10:50Speaker 4: beyond words, and like she she shared that as well.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a I mean, there's gonna be so much
- 10:56Speaker 2: more we talk about when it comes to this new
- 11:01Speaker 2: life into the world. But I mean we both are
- 11:03Speaker 2: so pumped for them because you know, I know Beca
- 11:06Speaker 2: very well. I don't know Thomas as well, but like
- 11:10Speaker 2: I know Beca well enough to see her transition in
- 11:15Speaker 2: life and how happy she is and how confident she is,
- 11:18Speaker 2: and how just excited I am to now have this
- 11:21Speaker 2: new life in the world because of them.
- 11:23Speaker 4: Yeah. So, actually, at the time of this recording, right now,
- 11:27Speaker 4: at two pm Eastern time, they posted a picture and
- 11:32Speaker 4: revealed the name of their baby. It is Benson Lee
- 11:37Speaker 4: Jacob's kufriin oh Di do we know this? So they
- 11:40Speaker 4: were gonna do Jacob's Kufriin. I feel like I did
- 11:43Speaker 4: hear this, So they're putting her last name as like
- 11:46Speaker 4: the last last name Benson Lee. Jacob's Kufrein very cute
- 11:52Speaker 4: and he was born on September twenty first. It's gonna
- 11:57Speaker 4: be Benny for short. And ben Jsin is after the
- 12:01Speaker 4: town where Becca's dad was born and raised. That's so sweet.
- 12:06Speaker 4: And Lee is for Thomas's father who sacrifices so much
- 12:10Speaker 4: for this country and others. And obviously, she says, Jacobs
- 12:14Speaker 4: Kouferin is pretty self explainable, but we wanted both parts
- 12:18Speaker 4: of us to make this little one hole.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Can't wait till that kid gets called bean, like I do,
- 12:23Speaker 2: little Bean, a little bean well.
- 12:26Speaker 4: Being author really cute pictures of them. He was born
- 12:29Speaker 4: at seven forty five am on September twenty first, and
- 12:33Speaker 4: he was eight pounds twenty one inches. He's we could
- 12:38Speaker 4: barely see his face and the pictures it was so cute.
- 12:41Speaker 4: Another Bachelor in Paradise.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Baby, a lot of them.
- 12:44Speaker 3: You talk.
- 12:45Speaker 2: You talked about babies a lot this weekend, Like I
- 12:47Speaker 2: feel like like the resident Yeah, you're the resident parents
- 12:50Speaker 2: now of Bachelor Nation.
- 12:52Speaker 4: It's really weird the way that conversation divides. Now when
- 12:54Speaker 4: you have a group of millennials together that like the
- 12:57Speaker 4: parents are always like, so, what stage you were in?
- 12:59Speaker 4: And there are so many people Okay, so many. We
- 13:02Speaker 4: were one of three couples that all had children within
- 13:06Speaker 4: the same week of each other. Mm hmm is that great?
- 13:10Speaker 4: Everybody talks about babies, and I do like talking about
- 13:12Speaker 4: it with you guys, because I'd like to imagine you
- 13:14Speaker 4: as parents, and we do like to I guess, like
- 13:17Speaker 4: kind of prepare because I think we Jared and I
- 13:20Speaker 4: like realistically prepare people. Yeah, but like a scary way,
- 13:23Speaker 4: I hope.
- 13:24Speaker 2: No, like a real way, a way that I always
- 13:27Speaker 2: imagine parenting was gonna be. But like nobody's really willing
- 13:30Speaker 2: to tell you it unless they feel comfortable enough with
- 13:35Speaker 2: you and that they know you enough where you're not
- 13:37Speaker 2: going to like panic out or get angry at them
- 13:40Speaker 2: for being like, you know, no, it's great. Okay, weird
- 13:44Speaker 2: transition here. I guess I know where you're going with this. Yeah,
- 13:49Speaker 2: I don't even know how to transition, but I think parenting. Yeah,
- 13:53Speaker 2: Bachelor along Clayton Eckerd. Now, we we did highlight this
- 13:58Speaker 2: on the on The Rachel.
- 14:02Speaker 4: Actually, I don't think the Rachel episodes out yet because
- 14:05Speaker 4: we're saving that for Closer to Paradise, which is later
- 14:08Speaker 4: this week. But you guys will get Rachel's insight because
- 14:12Speaker 4: it was very much breaking news the day that we
- 14:14Speaker 4: were interviewing Rachel.
- 14:16Speaker 3: It was it was breaking news of me too, which.
- 14:19Speaker 4: Made it even more fun. So here's the sitch. Clayton
- 14:24Speaker 4: is in the midst of like a paternity debate, well
- 14:27Speaker 4: a lawsuit, and it was filed in August, and it
- 14:30Speaker 4: was filed by an expected mother who's actually expecting twins,
- 14:34Speaker 4: and she's demanding a paternity test from Clayton. She's supposedly
- 14:37Speaker 4: a thirty three year old podcast host from Scottsdale, Arizona,
- 14:41Speaker 4: and doesn't he live in Scottsdale She wishes, even though
- 14:44Speaker 4: she's a podcast so she wishes to remain anonymous. In
- 14:48Speaker 4: the lawsuit, she claims that they engage in sexual activity
- 14:54Speaker 4: on May twentieth in a one night stand. He talks
- 14:59Speaker 4: to her as if it was somebody not safe, not
- 15:02Speaker 4: a one night stand, but some of the he actually
- 15:04Speaker 4: very much does not like who he knows and does
- 15:08Speaker 4: not like, So she's dealing with these twins in February,
- 15:13Speaker 4: and he has seemingly been putting off the paternity test,
- 15:19Speaker 4: but now has agreed to it. So he posted on
- 15:22Speaker 4: his Instagram story on Thursday.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Let's pause here for a second, actually, because I think
- 15:28Speaker 2: when they listened to the episode with Rachel, it was
- 15:30Speaker 2: breaking news at the time. I was surprised, you were
- 15:33Speaker 2: surprised Rachel was reacting to it in the way that
- 15:36Speaker 2: you expect somebody as close to the situation as Rachel
- 15:40Speaker 2: to react like she's obviously wishing every party the best
- 15:44Speaker 2: case scenario here, whatever that means, and the truth to
- 15:48Speaker 2: come out like that the truth is told, and that
- 15:51Speaker 2: everybody's responsible for the truth that is highlighted in the shown.
- 15:56Speaker 2: You and I, I think our reaction that I thought
- 15:59Speaker 2: about a lot this week was this whole situation feels odd.
- 16:04Speaker 2: It's obviously shocking news or or news that we haven't
- 16:08Speaker 2: really ever.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Had to break before on the show.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Yeah, and we said, Okay, if Clayton is standing firm
- 16:14Speaker 2: in the fact that these are not his kids, right
- 16:17Speaker 2: because she's pregnant twins, Yeah, then why wouldn't he get
- 16:22Speaker 2: the paternity test? That was our response to this was
- 16:24Speaker 2: nothing makes sense. On his side unless he gets a
- 16:27Speaker 2: paternity test. Now, yeah, that was before we knew that
- 16:31Speaker 2: he has now gotten a paternity test. So I just
- 16:33Speaker 2: want to make that clear that the timeline of this,
- 16:35Speaker 2: he's going to feel weird, Mark because at the time
- 16:39Speaker 2: we're like, he's still refusing or she's saying he's refusing
- 16:42Speaker 2: to get in, but now we're sharing no, he has
- 16:44Speaker 2: gotten one because he posted on social media.
- 16:47Speaker 4: And we're gonna still want to air the interview the
- 16:49Speaker 4: way it was conducted because it's just more interesting like
- 16:52Speaker 4: that to get the real raw reaction and into at
- 16:56Speaker 4: the time have this breaking news where he wasn't going
- 16:59Speaker 4: to get the petity test, so he got it on
- 17:03Speaker 4: or he posted that he got it on Thursday. He
- 17:07Speaker 4: had to pay seven hundred and twenty five dollars for it,
- 17:12Speaker 4: and no clude.
- 17:12Speaker 3: How much they cost it.
- 17:14Speaker 4: Yeah, and I thought the initial interview, like the initial filing,
- 17:17Speaker 4: that she was going to pay for it. But then
- 17:18Speaker 4: maybe I'm totally wrong. He shared an email I believe
- 17:23Speaker 4: between her and him saying thanks for the call. My
- 17:27Speaker 4: confusion has been cleared up. I will take my portion
- 17:31Speaker 4: of the test on September twenty seventh, So maybe The
- 17:38Speaker 4: bottom line here is it's all cryptic, honestly, But by
- 17:42Speaker 4: the end of September, both sides because she has to obviously,
- 17:48Speaker 4: I guess Take one two will be the tests will
- 17:52Speaker 4: be taken, and then the first week of October the
- 17:58Speaker 4: results will come back. Yeah, and so yeah, that's what
- 18:03Speaker 4: we got. But do you guys, I think I need
- 18:04Speaker 4: to reread the quotes that he has been sending her.
- 18:08Speaker 4: And now, yes, there's screenshots between the two, and you
- 18:11Speaker 4: can fake screenshots very easily. But this is supposedly what
- 18:16Speaker 4: Clayton is saying to this pregnant woman. I don't believe
- 18:19Speaker 4: you for a second. I legitimately hate you right now.
- 18:22Speaker 4: You have lost your mind. And I hope you think
- 18:26Speaker 4: about how terrible this is that you would suggest me
- 18:30Speaker 4: to subject me to this. My person, this is my
- 18:33Speaker 4: personal hell. My personal hell would be having to be
- 18:37Speaker 4: part you being part of my life.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Now that's me.
- 18:41Speaker 2: The rest I hate you, that's mean too, But the
- 18:43Speaker 2: rest I can see where he'd be stressed out, like
- 18:46Speaker 2: if this is not true. Okay, so there's obviously two
- 18:50Speaker 2: scenarios here. Either he is the father or he's not
- 18:52Speaker 2: the father. If he is not the father, I can
- 18:55Speaker 2: see where he'd be like, you understand how terrible this
- 18:58Speaker 2: is for me, Like it's stressful. He's obviously very anxious
- 19:02Speaker 2: about it. He's saying some very mean things to her
- 19:05Speaker 2: in the midst of this. But we don't know enough
- 19:07Speaker 2: about the story to know if he's just literally like,
- 19:09Speaker 2: please stop like harassing.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Now. If he is the father, he is the father.
- 19:15Speaker 2: In this scenario, then he really needs to step up responsibility.
- 19:22Speaker 2: He needs to apologize for the things that he said.
- 19:34Speaker 4: We have more, we have another more here, yeah, that
- 19:40Speaker 4: she has posted on Reddit herself, and in the Reddit post,
- 19:48Speaker 4: she claims that he told her these children if they
- 19:53Speaker 4: are mine, if they are mine, I would like you
- 19:59Speaker 4: to get an abortion or I or if you decide
- 20:03Speaker 4: to have them, I will have no part of their lives.
- 20:06Speaker 4: Oh goodness, Now anybody could claim to be anyone on Reddit.
- 20:11Speaker 2: I was gonna say, so if we don't know who
- 20:12Speaker 2: she is, if she's anonymous, based on this whole thing,
- 20:15Speaker 2: how do we know that was her saying this?
- 20:17Speaker 4: We don't, which is this is like total hearsay.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Okay, I'm telling you right now, right this story only
- 20:26Speaker 2: becomes I think a story when we know the final
- 20:32Speaker 2: results because right now we don't know he's claiming one thing,
- 20:35Speaker 2: she's claiming another. It was all so weird until he
- 20:39Speaker 2: decided to get the paternity test. Now that that's happened,
- 20:42Speaker 2: I think we can actually like have a real journalistic
- 20:46Speaker 2: story with a start and a conclusion and truth added
- 20:49Speaker 2: into it, because right now it feels messy from both sides.
- 20:54Speaker 2: If he is saying these things like, shame on him.
- 20:58Speaker 2: If if that's the stuff he's doing now, if he
- 21:02Speaker 2: is the father needs to step up, and or he.
- 21:06Speaker 4: Doesn't want to. He said I don't want to and
- 21:09Speaker 4: oh supposedly and this is a very unverified quote. Yeah,
- 21:13Speaker 4: so yes, we are just gossiping at this point.
- 21:16Speaker 3: So when will we know the results?
- 21:18Speaker 4: We will know the results the first week of October,
- 21:20Speaker 4: or at least they'll be in by then.
- 21:24Speaker 2: I I uh, yeah, I mean, I just I think
- 21:28Speaker 2: this is a story that we need to to really
- 21:32Speaker 2: pause on until we know how this plays out, because
- 21:36Speaker 2: then I think it illuminates once we know the truth
- 21:41Speaker 2: both sides, and it really shows us, Okay, who has
- 21:44Speaker 2: who has walked through this thing with truth, and who
- 21:47Speaker 2: has walked through this thing just because they made a
- 21:49Speaker 2: really bad mistake, who's lying, who's not, Like, we just
- 21:53Speaker 2: don't know right now. All we know And I think
- 21:55Speaker 2: if we concluded this story is this is messy right
- 21:59Speaker 2: now and there's so much yet unknown. And I think Clayton,
- 22:04Speaker 2: by his social media posts by saying yeah, the truth
- 22:07Speaker 2: will set you free or something like that, I remember,
- 22:09Speaker 2: you know.
- 22:09Speaker 3: With these pictures.
- 22:10Speaker 2: I think he thought that everybody's gonna be like, oh, yeah,
- 22:12Speaker 2: he can't be the father because he's getting a paternity test.
- 22:14Speaker 2: I don't think it did what he thought it was
- 22:15Speaker 2: going to do. I think people are still waiting on
- 22:17Speaker 2: the results.
- 22:18Speaker 4: To play Maury Povich right now. Ben, what do you
- 22:22Speaker 4: think the praternity test is going to say?
- 22:26Speaker 2: Oh, that's such a good question. I have no idea.
- 22:28Speaker 2: I cannot answer it.
- 22:30Speaker 4: Answer for I can't. I can't Mary.
- 22:33Speaker 2: I I have a feeling he's a single dude. Like
- 22:39Speaker 2: my My thought would be it plays into the fact
- 22:43Speaker 2: that he is involved in this more than he thinks
- 22:44Speaker 2: he is.
- 22:45Speaker 4: Okay, so he's also claiming that he only had oral
- 22:50Speaker 4: sex with her.
- 22:51Speaker 3: That's not how you make kids.
- 22:53Speaker 4: Just to make kids, how you make kids. So if
- 22:57Speaker 4: I had to get if I had to bet my
- 23:02Speaker 4: morey call is that he's not the father, because why
- 23:06Speaker 4: would he even lie and say it was just oral?
- 23:09Speaker 4: Why would he even lie and say that.
- 23:12Speaker 3: I don't know, because then it's like we.
- 23:15Speaker 4: Caught him in a total lie, Like now he has
- 23:17Speaker 4: the night totally not remembered correctly.
- 23:21Speaker 2: This is just this is one of the This will
- 23:24Speaker 2: go down as a top ten most confusing headline that
- 23:28Speaker 2: we've had to share in the last you know, seven
- 23:32Speaker 2: or eight years of the show, because there's just so
- 23:35Speaker 2: much left unknown and it can and like, either way,
- 23:38Speaker 2: it's gonna be bad, right, Like if he is the father,
- 23:42Speaker 2: he's not.
- 23:42Speaker 4: Looking better after this whole thing in any way.
- 23:46Speaker 2: See, I think if he's not, then I think it's like, hey,
- 23:49Speaker 2: who is this?
- 23:49Speaker 4: Like oh he's not the father, then it's just like
- 23:52Speaker 4: why would she do this? But no, but then like
- 23:54Speaker 4: she like spoke to a woman like this, But again,
- 23:57Speaker 4: screenshots also are so unreliable, like you can change anybody's
- 24:03Speaker 4: name in your phone and you can text yourself that.
- 24:06Speaker 2: There's just so much we don't know, but we will
- 24:09Speaker 2: have more will continue to follow this story. It's obviously
- 24:12Speaker 2: very popular on social media and a lot of people
- 24:16Speaker 2: are sending their their thoughts on it, and I think
- 24:19Speaker 2: that's that's what happens when you have a big story
- 24:22Speaker 2: and you've been a part of Bachelor Nation, another big
- 24:26Speaker 2: story in Bachelor Nation, one that doesn't feel like it's ending.
- 24:31Speaker 3: You know, Remember we talked.
- 24:32Speaker 2: About Kaitlyn and Jason, and it's like, hey, this is
- 24:34Speaker 2: ending in a in a split and it feels like, yeah,
- 24:39Speaker 2: I know at this point, maybe it's a less of
- 24:41Speaker 2: an endearing split as we first kind of covered because
- 24:45Speaker 2: Kaitlyn came out and said, hey, Jason's not supporting her
- 24:47Speaker 2: well in this time or something. But the Daniel maltby
- 24:51Speaker 2: Michael a split, it felt weird from the get cut, right,
- 24:55Speaker 2: because she didn't know it was going to be announced
- 24:57Speaker 2: and that she made that very clear.
- 24:59Speaker 4: Well, it was weird from the get because they didn't
- 25:01Speaker 4: announce it and they've been broken up for over three
- 25:03Speaker 4: months and just decided to kind of ignore all the inquiry.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Yeah, ignore it, right, And so then he does come
- 25:11Speaker 2: out and he says it. She it's unexpected to her.
- 25:16Speaker 2: She uh then goes on her podcast and talks about
- 25:21Speaker 2: a very small it's a very small piece of the show.
- 25:24Speaker 2: I know there's some questions that kind of get led
- 25:26Speaker 2: into it. But here's the headline. Bachelor of Paradise is
- 25:29Speaker 2: daniel Malby claims Michael a broke up with her one
- 25:31Speaker 2: day after her egg retrieval.
- 25:35Speaker 4: There you go, so like that's the drama here, Well
- 25:40Speaker 4: it's also been. It's also come out this week, and
- 25:43Speaker 4: Danielle was the one who said it that like it
- 25:45Speaker 4: was just not a amicable real split or like it
- 25:50Speaker 4: wasn't on her, like she did not want to break up,
- 25:53Speaker 4: and that the breakup came as a huge surprise. So
- 25:57Speaker 4: she says on her podcast that they went to New
- 26:00Speaker 4: York for the egg retrieval. Everything was so easy. He
- 26:03Speaker 4: came with her, He even gave her the retrieval shot
- 26:08Speaker 4: before she went to sleep, and we were having so
- 26:11Speaker 4: much fun, she said, everything was so sweet. She woke
- 26:14Speaker 4: up from the procedure, everything went well, Michael was there
- 26:17Speaker 4: with a Macho latte for her, and then she felt
- 26:23Speaker 4: very very blindsided. Understandably so when they got back to Cleveland,
- 26:28Speaker 4: whether it was the next day or a couple days later,
- 26:30Speaker 4: and he broke up with her, so obviously the timing
- 26:34Speaker 4: was like very very bad. To give Michael understanding in
- 26:40Speaker 4: this situation, I'm assuming what happened was just the fact
- 26:44Speaker 4: of Danielle not getting pregnant at this point, but like
- 26:47Speaker 4: freezing eggs and just thinking about children with her at
- 26:52Speaker 4: some point probably freaked him out because he probably didn't
- 26:59Speaker 4: see that much of a future with her and just
- 27:01Speaker 4: said that that would be the time that he had
- 27:03Speaker 4: to break up with her, because he's probably leading her
- 27:05Speaker 4: on at that point. I don't know though, but like
- 27:09Speaker 4: everything's bad, Like it's such a it's such a bad look.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, you would hope your communication will be
- 27:16Speaker 2: very clear, especially when you're entering into these huge conversations
- 27:19Speaker 2: about family and next steps.
- 27:23Speaker 4: I'm not defending him, by the way. I'm just saying
- 27:25Speaker 4: that I'm seeing that was his thought process.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean there's something that happened to him between
- 27:30Speaker 2: these two scenarios that made him.
- 27:31Speaker 4: Go, whoa that he had to do it so quickly
- 27:33Speaker 4: after I get not leading somebody on, but like, yeah,
- 27:36Speaker 4: come back from having basically surgery for your eggs for
- 27:40Speaker 4: your fertility future.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Wow.
- 27:43Speaker 2: Well, the the details are still so non disclosed. I
- 27:49Speaker 2: don't know if they ever will be. Daniel has said
- 27:51Speaker 2: that she's not going to disclose details anymore. Than she
- 27:53Speaker 2: has because there are a kid and there is a
- 27:55Speaker 2: kid involved.
- 27:58Speaker 3: But it's it's uh.
- 28:01Speaker 2: But my personal opinion is it's shocking that they split
- 28:04Speaker 2: in the way that they did because watching them on
- 28:08Speaker 2: Paradise and knowing their story and her move to Cleveland,
- 28:11Speaker 2: which is a big move, huge move, I just thought
- 28:15Speaker 2: they were doing really well. I expected this to be
- 28:19Speaker 2: one that makes it so it is a paradise couple
- 28:22Speaker 2: that you would have said, hey, would you put your
- 28:23Speaker 2: money behind them make and obvious said yeah, no question.
- 28:26Speaker 2: And then it doesn't, and it ends like this, and
- 28:28Speaker 2: then it feels it feels weird, and it feels very
- 28:32Speaker 2: uncharacteristic of what we know about the two of them,
- 28:35Speaker 2: right like we would have thought. I would have thought,
- 28:37Speaker 2: I guess that if they did break up, it would
- 28:40Speaker 2: be amicable. There would be some type of warning, some money, yeah,
- 28:45Speaker 2: just telling people so they stopped questioning it, and then
- 28:48Speaker 2: they would have both moved on peacefully and and you know,
- 28:53Speaker 2: wish each other the best.
- 28:54Speaker 3: It obviously ended poorly because there was.
- 28:57Speaker 2: No announcement, like I'm assuming you don't make an announcement
- 29:00Speaker 2: when you are very obsessed to well.
- 29:03Speaker 4: He also made the announcement on Jason's podcast, Like on
- 29:06Speaker 4: a whim. It wasn't planned, it wasn't talked too with her,
- 29:10Speaker 4: she said. He said, because he did a Q and A, Like,
- 29:14Speaker 4: you probably wouldn't have seen this because you had no
- 29:16Speaker 4: service this weekend. Not that you like her on Instagram
- 29:19Speaker 4: as much as I am, either, but he did a
- 29:21Speaker 4: Q and A about their breakup, which was like such
- 29:24Speaker 4: a bad look. Like Michael once, he like literally said, like,
- 29:28Speaker 4: here's a Q and A.
- 29:30Speaker 3: So what were the details that he talked about?
- 29:32Speaker 4: He said that he felt it was fine to like
- 29:36Speaker 4: just come out and say that they had broken up
- 29:38Speaker 4: because she had just deleted all the pictures of them
- 29:42Speaker 4: together from Instagram. Okay, and mind be like you know,
- 29:47Speaker 4: but like you'd still think that that was like something
- 29:48Speaker 4: that maybe you talked about and not just assumed and
- 29:51Speaker 4: like warned.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Unless they're not on speaking terms, yeah, I don't know,
- 29:56Speaker 2: tough Friday, unless you're on speaking terms, I don't know.
- 29:59Speaker 3: I think it.
- 30:00Speaker 2: It's just it's shockingly sad to me because I really
- 30:03Speaker 2: wanted them to to make it. I thought they both
- 30:05Speaker 2: made a very cute couple that understood each other. I
- 30:08Speaker 2: thought there was a lot of patients and understanding in
- 30:10Speaker 2: their relationship from what we saw on TV, and then
- 30:13Speaker 2: I was shocked at the way it ended. I guess
- 30:15Speaker 2: I just I don't know. It just feels messier than
- 30:18Speaker 2: I thought it would.
- 30:20Speaker 4: I wish I remember more things from his Q and A,
- 30:23Speaker 4: because I did watch the whole thing, even though I
- 30:26Speaker 4: thought it was a very bad decision for him to
- 30:28Speaker 4: do that. It was one of those car accidents you
- 30:31Speaker 4: couldn't help but look at. He also said responded to
- 30:34Speaker 4: somebody who said, like, you need therapy, and he was like,
- 30:37Speaker 4: I am in therapy, and like, ah bah, I.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Mean I yeah, there's so much here still that we
- 30:48Speaker 2: just don't know. And you know, I don't know me
- 30:52Speaker 2: either of them very well. I've talked to Michael more
- 30:54Speaker 2: than I've talked to Danielle, and I hope he is
- 30:59Speaker 2: getting surrounded by some good people right now, because you
- 31:03Speaker 2: don't want this to get uglier than it needs to.
- 31:06Speaker 2: And maybe it's all done now. Maybe they both said
- 31:08Speaker 2: their piece, it's public.
- 31:09Speaker 4: I feel like it's most here now.
- 31:11Speaker 3: Really.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Well, that's the big headlines of the day. Those are
- 31:14Speaker 2: some big ones. There are some doozies. Again, we're going
- 31:18Speaker 2: to be breaking down Dean and Kaylan's wedding here and
- 31:23Speaker 2: it will be released very shortly with two of our
- 31:25Speaker 2: favorite people, Tanya and Becka, who are both at the
- 31:28Speaker 2: wedding as well. There'll be a separate episode where we
- 31:31Speaker 2: give all the dirty details of the weekend, all the
- 31:33Speaker 2: funny stories, all the things that we did, all the
- 31:37Speaker 2: esthetics that went into the weekend for Kaylin and Dean.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Kaylen planned a amazing wedding and we cannot wait to
- 31:44Speaker 2: talk to you about it.
- 31:45Speaker 3: But until that episode, I've been Ben.
- 31:47Speaker 4: Ashley talked to you soon, like really soon. Bye.
