- 0:00Hello friends! Welcome back to Wonderfully Made,
- 0:04Bible Stories for Children. Last time, we heard
- 0:09about the beautiful temple Solomon built. A special
- 0:13place where God's people could come to worship,
- 0:16pray, and remember the Lord. We learned how the
- 0:21Ark of the Covenant was brought into the temple,
- 0:24and how God showed His presence in a powerful
- 0:27way. But after the celebration was over, something
- 0:31very important happened. God spoke to Solomon
- 0:36and gave him both a promise and a warning. Let's
- 0:40listen carefully to today's story. After the
- 0:56temple was finished and the people had worshipped
- 0:59together, God appeared to Solomon. This was not
- 1:03the first time God had spoken to him. Solomon
- 1:07had heard from God before. And now God spoke
- 1:11again. God reminded Solomon that he had heard
- 1:15Solomon's prayers and accepted the temple as
- 1:18a special place for worship. God also reminded
- 1:22Solomon that he had kept his promises, especially
- 1:26the promise he made to David, Solomon's father.
- 1:30Then God gave Solomon a promise. God explained
- 1:34that Solomon's kingdom would remain strong if
- 1:37Solomon continued to walk in God's ways and obey
- 1:41God's commands. God made it clear that leadership
- 1:44is not just about power, riches, or being famous.
- 1:49Leadership is about obedience to God. But then
- 1:53God gave Solomon a warning. God explained that
- 1:57if Solomon turned away and began to follow false
- 2:00gods, trouble would come. God said that if the
- 2:04people stopped obeying him, the kingdom would
- 2:07not stay strong. Even the temple would not protect
- 2:11them if their hearts turned away from God. This
- 2:15was a very serious message. God was teaching
- 2:19Solomon something important. A beautiful temple
- 2:23is not enough. What matters most is a faithful
- 2:27heart. Solomon listened. At this point in his
- 2:31life, Solomon wanted to do what was right. God
- 2:36had given him wisdom, peace, and a great responsibility.
- 2:40But God reminded him that wisdom must be guarded.
- 2:44Because even wise people can make wrong choices
- 2:48if they stop listening to God. God gave Solomon
- 2:57a promise, but God also warned him. That reminds
- 3:01us that God doesn't only care about what we build
- 3:05on the outside. He cares about what we obey on
- 3:09the inside. So here are some questions to think
- 3:13about. Why do you think God warned Solomon, even
- 3:18after Solomon built the temple? Have you ever
- 3:23been trusted with something important? God's
- 3:32warning wasn't meant to scare Solomon. It was
- 3:38meant to guide him. Because God wanted Solomon
- 3:41to finish well. not just start well. Thank you
- 3:47for joining me today. Next time on Wonderfully
- 3:51Made, we'll see what happens as Solomon grows
- 3:54older. His kingdom becomes richer and more powerful
- 3:58than ever before. But will Solomon keep trusting
- 4:02God? Or will Solomon begin to drift away? We'll
- 4:07find out next time. Until then, remember, You
- 4:12are wonderfully made, and God cares about your
- 4:15heart. Bye for now.
