- 2:47Speaker 5: coffee with their sniff and others. They look up and
- 2:49Speaker 5: they see a sign that says Jared Beaman. Jared, Hey,
- 2:52Speaker 5: you know what I think I heard about that? Kay.
- 2:54Speaker 5: I think he's a big up and comer in the
- 2:56Speaker 5: comedy scene. He played Tail of one at twenty twenty
- 2:58Speaker 5: five and want to bet and didn't have to get
- 3:00Speaker 5: a six pack because he's actually going after a comedy career.
- 3:03Speaker 5: Let's go watch the kid.
- 3:04Speaker 6: They call him the Demon around now, Yeah.
- 3:06Speaker 5: They call me the Demon of Nashville is taking stage
- 3:09Speaker 5: for the very first time, headlining his first show. So
- 3:12Speaker 5: let's give a run a pause too to Jared Demon Beamon.
- 3:16Speaker 5: You can grab those tickets at the door, and if
- 3:18Speaker 5: you're feeling a little frog, you can hit up zaniest
- 3:20Speaker 5: Nashville dot com to get those tickets. Every single dollar
- 3:24Speaker 5: that is raised for this will be donated to a
- 3:27Speaker 5: local Nashville charity, Right I got a couple in my
- 3:30Speaker 5: head right now. I was talking to Tale the other night, Hey,
- 3:32Speaker 5: where shall we go about all these things? We will
- 3:34Speaker 5: let you know where we donate and how much we
- 3:36Speaker 5: donate next week or probably the week after that.
- 3:40Speaker 6: I love it. It's Jared's first like headliner. It's also
- 3:42Speaker 6: his first time doing stand up.
- 3:43Speaker 5: Yeah, right right, and he's done a couple open mics.
- 3:46Speaker 5: He says, he goes and sits down these other spots,
- 3:48Speaker 5: waits in line, sometimes gets up, sometimes doesn't get up.
- 3:51Speaker 5: But apparently he's been dialed in on his twenty minute
- 3:54Speaker 5: set for a couple of weeks. Now we're on our
- 3:55Speaker 5: way to our playoff, the first round, the first round
- 3:59Speaker 5: of playoff, and on the flight from Oklahoma to Texas,
- 4:04Speaker 5: A and M that's when Jared was kind of talking.
- 4:05Speaker 5: I'm like, I've kind of got it all down now,
- 4:07Speaker 5: and he's really he's got to memorize. He's feeling a little.
- 4:09Speaker 6: Bit himself, right. He sent it out for some for
- 4:12Speaker 6: some mentoring, some coaching.
- 4:14Speaker 5: Yeah, and it is Monday when we're shooting this. I
- 4:16Speaker 5: saw Jared this morning, gave him a big hug. Hey,
- 4:18Speaker 5: happy twenty twenty six. How you feeling about tomorrow and
- 4:21Speaker 5: his nerves are there. I'm like, buddy, it's a little
- 4:23Speaker 5: too early to be getting this nervous Wait till you
- 4:25Speaker 5: get one more sleep. Game day nerves can come tomorrow
- 4:29Speaker 5: right now. Just feel more confident than ever about it.
- 4:32Speaker 5: But the kid's gonna he's gonna crush it. I don't
- 4:34Speaker 5: deny that at all. I think there's gonna be pauses
- 4:36Speaker 5: that come out of all of these things. Man, all
- 4:38Speaker 5: these things. Yeah, I'm gonna mc I'm gonna come up.
- 4:41Speaker 5: I'm gonna talk how we doing. I'm gonna explain everything
- 4:43Speaker 5: that's going on. Maybe we're gonna give out a couple
- 4:45Speaker 5: of pieces of merch. G you think if you think
- 4:47Speaker 5: about that, do what you want. Jos things out there,
- 4:49Speaker 5: say a joke, rip it a little bit. We'll have
- 4:52Speaker 5: some fun. We'll have some fun with everybody. I will
- 4:54Speaker 5: be writing nothing down. It just be having a good time.
- 4:57Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:58Speaker 5: Just just embracing the atage. Just embrace in the way.
- 5:01Speaker 5: That's all you can do. Yeah, that's all you can
- 5:02Speaker 5: do in these situations. Hit the fly move. Should we
- 5:08Speaker 5: break down a little collech football?
- 5:12Speaker 6: Are we talking a little college football? On the later
- 5:15Speaker 6: when we get past shirt wating him.
- 5:18Speaker 5: Sure, ye, yeah, yeah, maybe we should do.
- 5:20Speaker 6: Should we talk?
- 5:20Speaker 5: But that move that on?
- 5:22Speaker 6: Should we talk some New Year's new you're starting twenty
- 5:28Speaker 6: twenty six with the bang with a bang with a bang.
- 5:32Speaker 6: Do you guys want to talk to We want to
- 5:33Speaker 6: talk some New years as lusies. Yeah, or somebody's out there. Yeah.
- 5:37Speaker 6: Some resolutions abouting in the comments. If you guys have
- 5:40Speaker 6: some resolutions, we'd love to hear yours. Maybe start a
- 5:43Speaker 6: little brainstorm what people are thinking. My head's kind of
- 5:46Speaker 6: all over on you. I love you.
- 5:47Speaker 5: Listen. The thing I love about the news resolutions are
- 5:51Speaker 5: this is so much motivation is taking place on January fifth,
- 5:55Speaker 5: when we're filming this right now. The question is, boys,
- 5:58Speaker 5: how do you turn motivation into discipline and keep this
- 6:01Speaker 5: going for three hundred and sixty five days? This year
- 6:05Speaker 5: has to be the year where you stop talking about
- 6:07Speaker 5: it and you start being about it. Let's take action,
- 6:09Speaker 5: Let's keep moving forward small one percent every single day.
- 6:12Speaker 5: We just got to get better. We got to really
- 6:15Speaker 5: zero in of what we want to accomplish and finally
- 6:18Speaker 5: look ourselves in the mirror. On December thirty one, twenty
- 6:20Speaker 5: twenty six, and be happy with the man we see
- 6:23Speaker 5: in front of us, because we followed through of what
- 6:25Speaker 5: we said we do at the beginning of this year.
- 6:27Speaker 5: So with that being said, I saw the first person
- 6:29Speaker 5: that picked up the mic was Jack Macpherson. I would
- 6:31Speaker 5: love to hear what you have for your news rezies.
- 6:33Speaker 7: I've got some rezies, But I was going to update
- 6:36Speaker 7: people on this little guy.
- 6:38Speaker 6: We love. Matt Malone.
- 6:39Speaker 7: He just tweeted recently his New Year's resolution. Oh, I
- 6:43Speaker 7: think we might have got under your skin while you
- 6:44Speaker 7: guys were filming this. But he says, twenty twenty six
- 6:48Speaker 7: is the year of hate, hate, watching, hate, tweeting, giving
- 6:53Speaker 7: up on day ones, praying on people's downfalls, never be
- 6:56Speaker 7: the bigger person, happy twenty two.
- 6:58Speaker 6: Oh's toxic and when.
- 7:01Speaker 5: Before ago he's an energy vampire right there.
- 7:05Speaker 7: Yeah, and about thirty minutes ago he was saying this
- 7:08Speaker 7: is the year of respect. So something changed. Uh, but
- 7:12Speaker 7: I believe in We're gonna I believe it. The main
- 7:15Speaker 7: thing is the main thing. Me and JP have really
- 7:17Speaker 7: been trying to coach Matt up on tweeting more, and
- 7:19Speaker 7: he's like, I don't know what the tweet, so just
- 7:20Speaker 7: to see something on paper that's a good start.
- 7:23Speaker 6: Yeah, but you can also see it as a tough start.
- 7:26Speaker 7: It's a tough start, but it's a tough start. But yeah, uh,
- 7:31Speaker 7: my nears resolutions. I've got a couple not trying to
- 7:34Speaker 7: break or reinvent the wheel. I I like to stay hydrated,
- 7:38Speaker 7: so it'll be drink more water and drink less of
- 7:41Speaker 7: everything else, whether that's beer, soda, whatever you want. I
- 7:46Speaker 7: want to I'm trying to limit my drinking intake. I
- 7:50Speaker 7: feel like I'm on a good path right now over
- 7:52Speaker 7: the last few months. I'm not gonna I'm not gonna
- 7:55Speaker 7: be the guy that's like I'm going full sober. I'm
- 7:58Speaker 7: doing dry January. Whether I go however long not drinking,
- 8:01Speaker 7: that's fine with me. I don't want to put unrealistic
- 8:04Speaker 7: expectations on anything so that you set yourself up for
- 8:07Speaker 7: a failure. So drink more water, less of everything else.
- 8:11Speaker 7: And then my second one would be say no to
- 8:15Speaker 7: people or friends really with like plans and commitments that
- 8:20Speaker 7: you don't feel like is going to value what you're
- 8:22Speaker 7: trying to create or be in such a state of mind.
- 8:25Speaker 7: So I want to learn to say no to people
- 8:28Speaker 7: without worrying if they're gonna be upset about it. And
- 8:32Speaker 7: that's not like you know, something at the office where
- 8:34Speaker 7: it's like, hey, I need you to do this. I'm
- 8:35Speaker 7: like no, It's more just like on a Friday night, Hey,
- 8:38Speaker 7: you want to come out shoot some Pool'll have a
- 8:40Speaker 7: couple of beers. Now I'm gonna stay in, I'm gonna
- 8:42Speaker 7: hang out or maybe whatever it may be. So say no, more,
- 8:46Speaker 7: drink more water.
- 8:47Speaker 5: I love that. I love that. That's a fantastic Yeah,
- 8:51Speaker 5: that's a clean take. That's a clean take to start
- 8:54Speaker 5: off January.
- 8:55Speaker 7: I like that, and hopefully those can parlay because we
- 8:57Speaker 7: all want to throw in get jacked every single year.
- 9:00Speaker 5: But I think that's the god tier. We all want
- 9:03Speaker 5: to just look great at the end of this year.
- 9:04Speaker 7: I think that more water, less of everything else, continue
- 9:08Speaker 7: to say no. I think that could fall in line
- 9:10Speaker 7: with you know, just a more improvement, more more everything that.
- 9:15Speaker 7: That's where I'm at.
- 9:16Speaker 4: Yeah, getting jacked is like in tron. It's like perfection.
- 9:20Speaker 4: It's always right in front of you, but you can
- 9:21Speaker 4: never fully achieve it, so you just gotta keep working
- 9:24Speaker 4: towards it.
- 9:24Speaker 5: Yep, yep, yeah, yeah, shout out clue.
- 9:27Speaker 6: I like the vibe You're on two with less expectation
- 9:31Speaker 6: and more just habit forming. That's what I'm kind of
- 9:33Speaker 6: like struggling, Like, man, do I want to do? I
- 9:35Speaker 6: want to put stuff down. That's like if I don't,
- 9:38Speaker 6: you know, this is the result I need to hit
- 9:40Speaker 6: if I do hit it or if I don't hit it,
- 9:42Speaker 6: like my more so win or loss hangs on. Would
- 9:45Speaker 6: I write down and more focusing more like like habit
- 9:48Speaker 6: forming stuff like I know I would like to It's
- 9:52Speaker 6: like fifty grams of protein within an hour waking up
- 9:55Speaker 6: in the morning like Evan, like like Zone two cardio,
- 9:59Speaker 6: I know that's a big thing. Like workout strength train
- 10:02Speaker 6: three times a week cardio like Zone two cardio, get
- 10:05Speaker 6: in one hundred and fifty minutes per week. I kind
- 10:07Speaker 6: of go off like a more of a per week
- 10:09Speaker 6: basis than have like things hang on the breaking point
- 10:12Speaker 6: of like day in and day out, you get it,
- 10:14Speaker 6: but I don't hit it. Yeah, and then at the end
- 10:16Speaker 6: of the year you kind of see, Hey, I would
- 10:18Speaker 6: love to be less than fifteen percent body fat, but
- 10:20Speaker 6: I know if I hit, if I rock with these
- 10:22Speaker 6: habits over the expectation or the result of less than
- 10:25Speaker 6: fifteen percent body fat. I'm positive that like those results.
- 10:28Speaker 5: Will come right delayed success.
- 10:31Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, And I mess with you on the power
- 10:33Speaker 6: of saying though I messed with that. I feel like
- 10:35Speaker 6: we did that a lot of the past year. But
- 10:36Speaker 6: now char and I we kind of sit there and
- 10:37Speaker 6: we're like, we got to figure out more lanes, like
- 10:39Speaker 6: in our social world because all we feel like we
- 10:41Speaker 6: do is work.
- 10:42Speaker 5: In parent Hey, that is a big one too. That
- 10:45Speaker 5: goes part of my resolute. One of my resolutions is
- 10:48Speaker 5: like kind of nurturing other relationships as well, other than
- 10:52Speaker 5: just the busting you boys and then my family, because
- 10:54Speaker 5: it feels like all I do is work and then
- 10:57Speaker 5: go home with my family. And I need to be
- 11:00Speaker 5: better with my time management so that I can kind
- 11:02Speaker 5: of narrow in who is my close circle of friends
- 11:05Speaker 5: that I'm really going to go and make sure be
- 11:06Speaker 5: intentional beyay, let's grab a cup of coffee, Let's go
- 11:08Speaker 5: do X, Y and Z. Not all the time, because
- 11:10Speaker 5: I do love the older I'm getting. I'm really just
- 11:13Speaker 5: enjoying going home with the age of my kids and
- 11:15Speaker 5: playing with them. But how do I kind of I
- 11:18Speaker 5: can see myself right now when my youngest is eighteen
- 11:21Speaker 5: years old. They kind of go off, and I'm barreling
- 11:24Speaker 5: down the path of like I got I have nothing
- 11:26Speaker 5: to do now. I have no friends really because I
- 11:29Speaker 5: just all I've really focused on is this and them.
- 11:31Speaker 5: And it's like, how do you kind of nurture grow
- 11:34Speaker 5: more relationships outside of like the workplace and.
- 11:37Speaker 6: In the planning it? Yeah, it's planning it out because
- 11:39Speaker 6: I feel like we say it all the time, but
- 11:42Speaker 6: outside of like whether it's planning trips of the family,
- 11:44Speaker 6: we're not like planning some intentional time to be like
- 11:46Speaker 6: social because your kids, like when you got a little kids, bro,
- 11:49Speaker 6: they just need so much. They need mostly all the time.
- 11:51Speaker 5: And then having that ability to be like, all right,
- 11:53Speaker 5: we'll plan. One thing you had last year that I
- 11:56Speaker 5: was like, man, I'm kind of fired up for that
- 11:58Speaker 5: is once a core or once a month whatever it is,
- 12:01Speaker 5: like doing a game night or something like that. And
- 12:03Speaker 5: that's kind of stuck with me, is like, how do
- 12:05Speaker 5: you just get a group of friends and you're just like, hey,
- 12:08Speaker 5: once a month or once every other month, we're all
- 12:11Speaker 5: gonna get together and just do something, whether it's a
- 12:14Speaker 5: game night, grabbing a dinner, just something simple that doesn't
- 12:17Speaker 5: have to be a whole lot of expectation on it,
- 12:18Speaker 5: but like, let's make sure we're staying intentional about like
- 12:22Speaker 5: keeping us all together.
- 12:23Speaker 4: I'd like to introduce something an idea to that that
- 12:25Speaker 4: I've been thinking I share with Clump a few months ago.
- 12:28Speaker 4: But I love this idea of reservation roulette. When in
- 12:32Speaker 4: your friend group, a couple is in charge of either
- 12:34Speaker 4: getting a reservation for the group, and all you know
- 12:37Speaker 4: is the date everybody assigns the date, you find out
- 12:40Speaker 4: where the reservation is the night of where you show up.
- 12:44Speaker 4: Or say, if you and Charro, you guys book Taylor
- 12:47Speaker 4: and Taylor a reservation to a restaurant that you love,
- 12:50Speaker 4: they just have the day open. They don't know the
- 12:52Speaker 4: restaurant until that day. Reservation dog.
- 12:55Speaker 5: I love that. I love that.
- 12:58Speaker 6: That is awesome because that is when when Chro and
- 13:01Speaker 6: I like reflect on twenty twenty five, we're like, man,
- 13:03Speaker 6: we failed at the once a quarter.
- 13:05Speaker 5: Yeah, there's not a whole lot of things that I
- 13:08Speaker 5: like followed through with. I felt good about getting Jack
- 13:11Speaker 5: twenty twenty five. I felt like I was in a
- 13:13Speaker 5: good path. Gout, man, I was gonna say, gout came gout.
- 13:15Speaker 5: Gout came from me. I was on a great I
- 13:17Speaker 5: felt like I had for the majority. I was like,
- 13:19Speaker 5: you're really on top of your shit a little bit.
- 13:21Speaker 5: The results in the mirror you're not like in love with,
- 13:23Speaker 5: but you feel like, oh, I got better in twenty five.
- 13:27Speaker 7: I think probably for the first time in your dull life.
- 13:31Speaker 7: There were some abs showing through because of gout.
- 13:34Speaker 6: Yeah, but hey, buddy, was that ADS have to sacrifice
- 13:37Speaker 6: some white green skin? That was?
- 13:39Speaker 5: It was that ads? Or was at my rim cake.
- 13:43Speaker 7: I don't know, man, you look skinnier. Doug.
- 13:45Speaker 5: We were sitting there in the green room of ESPN,
- 13:48Speaker 5: this is what like November five, six, whatever it was,
- 13:51Speaker 5: and I'm like, dude, Jack and says, do I do?
- 13:53Speaker 5: I just like, look incredibly thin to you because I've
- 13:55Speaker 5: lost like twenty pounds. I'm feeling like prey right now.
- 13:58Speaker 5: I's like, no, you honestly, you kind of look the same.
- 14:00Speaker 5: Take my shove, he goes, I can see it. I
- 14:02Speaker 5: can see it. It's like you I could this is
- 14:04Speaker 5: the first one in my life I've seen your ribcage.
- 14:05Speaker 5: And I was like, dude, I was like that right
- 14:08Speaker 5: then and there. I was like That's exactly what I
- 14:10Speaker 5: needed to be, like, you've got to figure out your health,
- 14:12Speaker 5: which brings me to my resolution. It's not get jacked
- 14:15Speaker 5: obviously is that north star where you just stare at
- 14:17Speaker 5: it and you're like, how do I achieve this? But
- 14:20Speaker 5: for me, it's total health and wellness, Like aside from
- 14:24Speaker 5: obviously growing bustle with the boys in my family as
- 14:26Speaker 5: my top two priorities of twenty twenty six, it's where
- 14:30Speaker 5: do I just become extremely healthy, like a healthy person
- 14:34Speaker 5: that doesn't allow myself to slip up in certain areas
- 14:37Speaker 5: because this gout thing, dude, I'm telling you it is.
- 14:40Speaker 5: It was the worst experience of my life is from
- 14:43Speaker 5: from a health standpoint, and even this weekend, dude, I
- 14:47Speaker 5: was a bit of a naughty boy, like in the
- 14:50Speaker 5: in the holiday season where it was like Thanksgiving and Christmas.
- 14:54Speaker 5: And once I got off of it five six, seven,
- 14:57Speaker 5: eight days later when I was eating kind of healthy,
- 14:59Speaker 5: it kind of I started. I felt my toe was
- 15:02Speaker 5: a little sore and I'm like, this can't be it
- 15:03Speaker 5: where I'm having PTSD. I'm freaking out a little bit.
- 15:06Speaker 5: Luckily I had the pantry. This it was this weekend, dude,
- 15:09Speaker 5: where I'm like, I really got to make sure this
- 15:11Speaker 5: does not happen. My ankle started to get a little swollen,
- 15:14Speaker 5: and I'm like, bro, I can't do this shit again.
- 15:18Speaker 5: B Bro, I'm thinking I'm thinking about it. Might just
- 15:21Speaker 5: go stomps, might just go stomps. But being healthy is
- 15:25Speaker 5: one of my big ones for me truly, just how
- 15:28Speaker 5: how do I get this body functioning and stay ahead
- 15:31Speaker 5: of the chains of life.
- 15:32Speaker 6: And just having a good relationship with health.
- 15:35Speaker 5: Yeah, good relationship exactly. My other resolution is this is
- 15:40Speaker 5: this is my probably my bigger one this year, is
- 15:42Speaker 5: being more charitable, Like how can I invest more in
- 15:45Speaker 5: my community. I think we've all like very lucky with
- 15:49Speaker 5: the job we've had and the two jobs that I've
- 15:51Speaker 5: really had in my life. I feel really blessed and
- 15:52Speaker 5: lucky to have those things. And this thing like Beaman
- 15:55Speaker 5: where we're taking all the ticket sales for Zanies and
- 15:59Speaker 5: I see people on you know, on the side of
- 16:01Speaker 5: the road with a sign in their hand. You kind
- 16:02Speaker 5: of pull out your wallet and you give them whatever
- 16:04Speaker 5: you got. I was like, dude, I should really be
- 16:06Speaker 5: much more intentional about like giving to a charity and
- 16:10Speaker 5: helping my community around me. That I might have let
- 16:12Speaker 5: that get away from me when I was playing football,
- 16:14Speaker 5: because you're in the mindset of like self preservation at
- 16:17Speaker 5: all times, even though you're making good money. It's like,
- 16:19Speaker 5: how do I make this last forever? And now it's
- 16:21Speaker 5: like how do I kind of give back to not
- 16:24Speaker 5: just Nashville, but you know, the greater good of the world.
- 16:26Speaker 5: That is my number one Rezie going into twenty twenty six.
- 16:31Speaker 7: I think a good one for Busting too. Just like
- 16:33Speaker 7: as our whole crew. I know we've done some stuff,
- 16:35Speaker 7: you guys went to Vanderbilt, but I think there's a
- 16:37Speaker 7: lot of opportunity for us to get out in Nashville
- 16:40Speaker 7: and just do something with the community, whether it's actually
- 16:43Speaker 7: serving or going like playing with you know, underprivileged youth,
- 16:46Speaker 7: stuff like that. I feel like we have enough guys
- 16:48Speaker 7: here that we could make something really fun that's impactful,
- 16:51Speaker 7: and I know it means a lot to guys who
- 16:53Speaker 7: grew up here and who everyone calls home. So I
- 16:56Speaker 7: think that's a good one for the bust In.
- 16:59Speaker 6: Again, just examples of the Jerry Beaman and then going
- 17:02Speaker 6: to the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, it's like you kind of
- 17:04Speaker 6: have those moments of like, man, we should take time
- 17:06Speaker 6: to think about how we can because you see what
- 17:08Speaker 6: the impact is able to do, like when we do
- 17:10Speaker 6: when these opportunities come up and we do do things
- 17:13Speaker 6: because I've never been like tied to a specific charity
- 17:15Speaker 6: or a certain charity. Usually it comes up with somebody,
- 17:18Speaker 6: you know, if it's that time of year, somebody wants
- 17:19Speaker 6: to raise money, whether it's donating to the church. My
- 17:22Speaker 6: mom was at meals on wheels with my grandpa, you know,
- 17:26Speaker 6: donating to baseball teams. When people hit us up like hey,
- 17:29Speaker 6: would you like to donate? We usually donating, but just
- 17:31Speaker 6: having more of a like making that a priority. I
- 17:33Speaker 6: think that would be I think that would be sick.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:35Speaker 5: And the fans too, like being able to give back
- 17:37Speaker 5: to them and have opportunities to win merch when money
- 17:40Speaker 5: like what like, I feel like that's fun for everybody
- 17:43Speaker 5: kind of get involved with we can just kind of give.
- 17:44Speaker 5: We're in that position now. It would be great.
- 17:48Speaker 6: Community.
- 17:49Speaker 5: Baby gotta love it. What else we're thinking back there?
- 17:52Speaker 3: Boys, Mine to kind of go along with Jack brought
- 17:57Speaker 3: up Matt, my one of my New Year's resolutions is
- 18:02Speaker 3: to tweet three hundred and sixty five times this year.
- 18:05Speaker 3: It is the fifth day of the year and I
- 18:06Speaker 3: have tweeted zero times. So but I gotta I need
- 18:10Speaker 3: to get better at tweeting, given that that is our job.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Another one of my resolutions, which is kind of.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Newer, we're ripping past that one.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Yeah, because I mean, that's just it needs to be
- 18:20Speaker 3: done right.
- 18:20Speaker 5: I hate real quick, how many times we hit Broadway
- 18:24Speaker 5: this year?
- 18:24Speaker 6: This past year, I.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Think I was. I was over twelve, but less than twenty. Ah, okay,
- 18:35Speaker 3: I think I but like the last the h the
- 18:38Speaker 3: last like three or four months, like really since football started,
- 18:41Speaker 3: I think I've gone twice. But like this summer, it
- 18:46Speaker 3: was a good So.
- 18:46Speaker 6: At the end of the summer, you're like, damn, I
- 18:48Speaker 6: kind of broke my rule.
- 18:49Speaker 5: Yeah, you made it six months, five months.
- 18:52Speaker 3: No, I made it. I made it into August eight.
- 18:55Speaker 5: Months, eight months, a couple weeknds ago.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Yeah, but out Yeah, but all good.
- 19:00Speaker 5: I didn't hit it all good.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Yeah, didn't hit it. New Year, New you, New year.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Knew me going along with that.
- 19:06Speaker 3: This is a new a new resolution that I kind
- 19:08Speaker 3: of came up with maybe an hour ago. Uh, not
- 19:13Speaker 3: be so much of an energy vampire.
- 19:16Speaker 5: Oh there you get that.
- 19:18Speaker 3: There's been some rumblings going on around that I can.
- 19:21Speaker 3: I can be a fun sucker or an energy sucker.
- 19:24Speaker 3: So I think I just need to change change my
- 19:27Speaker 3: attitude when it comes to like, hey, this is what
- 19:29Speaker 3: we need and just kind of be my improve my
- 19:34Speaker 3: bedside manner.
- 19:35Speaker 6: Oh wow, Okay, okay, And final one tweet more better
- 19:39Speaker 6: bedside manner.
- 19:40Speaker 3: And final one is just kind of like get all
- 19:42Speaker 3: my financials like automated and everything so I'm making money
- 19:45Speaker 3: while I sleep. I would love to, like by the
- 19:49Speaker 3: end of the year kind of a millionaire, be in
- 19:53Speaker 3: the market for a house. But that that's very very lofty,
- 19:57Speaker 3: but you just get everything automated and whatnot.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Any uh, dietary goals, we want to implement more fruits, veggies, meat.
- 20:06Speaker 7: Honestly, you got you got that cast iron pan.
- 20:08Speaker 3: I do have the Like I think now that I'm
- 20:11Speaker 3: living with Brooke, it'll kind of be a that'll come along.
- 20:16Speaker 3: But I would like to get back into like smoothies
- 20:18Speaker 3: or like overnight outs type deal, just kind of just
- 20:23Speaker 3: easy things.
- 20:24Speaker 6: I like it.
- 20:25Speaker 3: You just got to start small.
- 20:26Speaker 4: You got to make it attractive.
- 20:27Speaker 3: Pack a lunch, I do pack I pack.
- 20:29Speaker 1: The lunch today.
- 20:30Speaker 5: It's okay, all right, good, my bad, No.
- 20:31Speaker 4: No, I think that for if I be the opposite, go
- 20:34Speaker 4: get lunch, got my package.
- 20:37Speaker 5: A position to get a house made in the year,
- 20:38Speaker 5: but also go buy lunch.
- 20:39Speaker 3: Out more be like I mean, I'm getting like p B,
- 20:45Speaker 3: I have p B, like I have a P B
- 20:47Speaker 3: and J today like that. Of course you do, but
- 20:49Speaker 3: that's just who I am. You can't You're not trying
- 20:51Speaker 3: to reinvent the wheel, right right right?
- 20:53Speaker 6: I can't can't do it it, surely, sure do you
- 21:02Speaker 6: have any I do?
- 21:05Speaker 8: Last year's was to make mornings, uh, to conquer my mornings.
- 21:10Speaker 8: I feel like it was a little bit of h
- 21:14Speaker 8: I don't know that was cheating myself because obviously with
- 21:17Speaker 8: the newborn coming into the picture, that was like a
- 21:20Speaker 8: that has to happen. That's not just like a, oh,
- 21:23Speaker 8: I'll choose to do that. So this year I'm trying
- 21:27Speaker 8: to make a very tangible goal that in order to
- 21:30Speaker 8: succeed that goal, there's got to be a lot of
- 21:32Speaker 8: positive changes. It's an ambitious and auspicious Auspicious is anything
- 21:40Speaker 8: leading towards success.
- 21:43Speaker 4: That might be word of the year.
- 21:44Speaker 6: Thank you so far, so far.
- 21:47Speaker 8: I want to run a sixty second or below four
- 21:52Speaker 8: hundred meter dash in twenty six.
- 21:55Speaker 4: Let's go on. That's a great one drop.
- 22:01Speaker 1: That's it.
- 22:02Speaker 5: Six second or below forty sixty second four hundred meter Okay, sorry,
- 22:07Speaker 5: yeah I missed. I missed zero my fault.
- 22:09Speaker 8: Sixty seconds are faster, Okay, got it before December thirty?
- 22:14Speaker 7: First, do we want to do a baseline test here
- 22:18Speaker 7: soon to see where we're at?
- 22:20Speaker 8: Absolutely?
- 22:21Speaker 7: I love to come and be out there. I'll film
- 22:23Speaker 7: it for you whatever.
- 22:24Speaker 8: The only thing that I'm worried about with the baseline
- 22:27Speaker 8: is I need to like stretch for a week.
- 22:29Speaker 7: You don't want to pull a hammy for month.
- 22:31Speaker 5: Of the year.
- 22:32Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I'm thinking we do that today. The baseline
- 22:37Speaker 6: what's a beautiful day?
- 22:39Speaker 7: Baseline?
- 22:40Speaker 5: The baseline is like where are you right now? So?
- 22:43Speaker 8: Yeah, so today we gotta do it quick though, because
- 22:46Speaker 8: I gotta pick up Scarlett at four thirty, so it's
- 22:48Speaker 8: going to be right after this, but we could do
- 22:50Speaker 8: it today.
- 22:51Speaker 5: Something about this week?
- 22:53Speaker 1: This week?
- 22:53Speaker 6: This week.
- 22:56Speaker 5: One more news resolution for me? Gamble more onward? What
- 22:58Speaker 5: is zero st pek gamble more responsibly mine come also
- 23:05Speaker 5: that note, I'll be in Vegas this weekend and two
- 23:07Speaker 5: weeks that it will be in Vegas again for the
- 23:09Speaker 5: first year. If seen for Paramount plus on work, JP, You're.
- 23:11Speaker 4: On track, on track, You're on track. I'll be quick. Yeah,
- 23:17Speaker 4: on the same line of shrm, I hate running. This year.
- 23:20Speaker 4: My goal, I'm keeping it small. One mile a week.
- 23:23Speaker 4: I'm going to run one mile a week because every
- 23:26Speaker 4: every other year I just always fall short of it.
- 23:29Speaker 4: And I could do one mile, did one yesterday. One
- 23:32Speaker 4: book a month. Taylor and I were talking. I started
- 23:36Speaker 4: this book for my for January because it's a long book.
- 23:38Speaker 4: You know, you got to get work the rust off
- 23:40Speaker 4: of reading. Started it a little bit into into December,
- 23:44Speaker 4: so I'm already about a quarter the way through one
- 23:46Speaker 4: book a month, and then I'm trying to think. I
- 23:51Speaker 4: feel like those are my two biggest ones. I have
- 23:54Speaker 4: a lot of goals for making to midnight, but those
- 23:56Speaker 4: are those are on the personal side. But yeah, read
- 23:59Speaker 4: it running, getting jacked.
- 24:04Speaker 6: The big ones, man.
- 24:05Speaker 5: Yeah, the reading portion. I'm I'm in a crazy good
- 24:09Speaker 5: position with the book reading because when's biaging of reading
- 24:12Speaker 5: right now, we're knocking out books.
- 24:14Speaker 6: Left and right.
- 24:14Speaker 5: Brother reading a wolf called Wonder right.
- 24:16Speaker 6: Now.
- 24:20Speaker 4: One hundred books on the year.
- 24:21Speaker 5: Yeahit wait in the chapter of Night and them bitches
- 24:23Speaker 5: are like ten fifteen pages each. You know how your
- 24:26Speaker 5: boy reads. Sometimes it's like.
- 24:28Speaker 4: I forgot one of my one of my is to
- 24:30Speaker 4: write more also, and I got this awesome book that's
- 24:35Speaker 4: it's like a five year journal, but it's one line
- 24:37Speaker 4: a day for five years. So on the page it
- 24:39Speaker 4: says January first, and then it has a twenty you
- 24:41Speaker 4: fill in twenty twenty six, and there's like three lines
- 24:44Speaker 4: that you can write on. So it's just I'm pretty
- 24:47Speaker 4: much writing down whatever happened in that day or if
- 24:50Speaker 4: I have any kind of random thought. But it takes
- 24:52Speaker 4: thirty seconds and it's once you get started writing the
- 24:55Speaker 4: first thing in my head. The past three days has
- 24:57Speaker 4: been like, well, I kind of want to write more,
- 25:00Speaker 4: and I open up my actual journal and I write
- 25:02Speaker 4: more of my thoughts. So I think that book of
- 25:04Speaker 4: one line a day could be a game changer.
- 25:07Speaker 6: Yeah, I really I really like that move because I
- 25:09Speaker 6: battle every year with wanting to write more one line
- 25:12Speaker 6: a day because I'll sit down it's almost like I
- 25:15Speaker 6: want to put a like go through a thought that's
- 25:18Speaker 6: in my head. But I know it's going to take time,
- 25:20Speaker 6: and I just don't give myself. I just don't sit there.
- 25:22Speaker 6: I don't like burn the boats in my head to
- 25:24Speaker 6: think I'm going to sit down and do this.
- 25:27Speaker 5: Yeah yep gee.
- 25:30Speaker 9: I feel like the theme going on for most of
- 25:34Speaker 9: them is very on par. But it's the setting expectation
- 25:38Speaker 9: that is just not achievable or is achievable. But by
- 25:41Speaker 9: doing the micro goals, then you obviously will eventually work
- 25:45Speaker 9: your way towards that. So mine is definitely being okay
- 25:49Speaker 9: with doing the little things that will eventually get you
- 25:53Speaker 9: to whatever you're trying to reach. I don't have exactly
- 25:56Speaker 9: what those are, but it's just day to day truly
- 25:59Speaker 9: taking it one day at a time. I'm a big
- 26:01Speaker 9: one is gonna be be like, be kinder to myself.
- 26:05Speaker 9: I think that just goes along with kind of what
- 26:08Speaker 9: Jack saying, like be comfortable saying no to things because
- 26:11Speaker 9: it's something that you want to do. I think everyone
- 26:15Speaker 9: gets caught up in like the damn like if I
- 26:17Speaker 9: don't go, people are gonna think that, you know, whatever
- 26:20Speaker 9: it is, be comfortable with yourself, be kinder to yourself,
- 26:24Speaker 9: And then my biggest one is going to be try
- 26:26Speaker 9: to go to bed earlier. It's very hard with god
- 26:30Speaker 9: call of duty. So that just means they gonna play earlier.
- 26:36Speaker 9: But yeah, go to bed earlier and be kinder to myself.
- 26:41Speaker 9: We don't, I mean, hey, earlier, earlier, earlier than the
- 26:46Speaker 9: day before.
- 26:47Speaker 5: Buddy. If there's one thing my wife and I are
- 26:49Speaker 5: not aligned on, it's bedtime. She loves to stay up late,
- 26:54Speaker 5: watch a million shows. She loves it, she's about it.
- 26:57Speaker 5: I would go to sleep at eight thirty every single
- 26:59Speaker 5: night if she left me.
- 27:00Speaker 9: See what I if I'm not playing call do like,
- 27:03Speaker 9: if I'm not doing that, I'm on my phone. I
- 27:05Speaker 9: don't watch anything because my attention span is fucked. So
- 27:08Speaker 9: that's why I'm like, just go to bed, because all
- 27:11Speaker 9: I'm doing is doom scrolling.
- 27:12Speaker 6: And that's horrible for you.
- 27:14Speaker 9: Uh you end up seeing weird trends with rock.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:18Speaker 6: Yeah, so we gotta get out of there.
- 27:21Speaker 9: But so that's why I'm kind of like, if I
- 27:22Speaker 9: can go to bed earlier, hopefully that eliminates dumb time
- 27:26Speaker 9: on my phone, not really watching anything, like I'll put
- 27:29Speaker 9: I put Stranger Things on. I watched five minutes and
- 27:31Speaker 9: then I looked up I was on my phone. It's like,
- 27:34Speaker 9: what are you doing so trying to minimize where my
- 27:37Speaker 9: attention is.
- 27:38Speaker 6: I guess yeah, yeah, I'm with you on the going
- 27:42Speaker 6: the going to bed early because it is it's just tough,
- 27:45Speaker 6: like going with the boys stayble. Like last night, I
- 27:48Speaker 6: was kind of scanning through uh, scanning through uh Lambman, which,
- 27:53Speaker 6: by the way, Lamb Man, anybody who watches Lamb Man.
- 27:56Speaker 6: It's falling off for me right now.
- 27:57Speaker 4: Ye mid Man, the.
- 28:00Speaker 6: Dude, and that is what I'm sitting there thinking. I'm like,
- 28:02Speaker 6: this dude is doing this to us again, like it's
- 28:04Speaker 6: becoming a snooze fest, like showing like you know, old
- 28:07Speaker 6: people homes and side relationships and right, I want oil
- 28:11Speaker 6: and war, bro, Yeah, I want oil and war.
- 28:15Speaker 5: But that bums me out because I think I watched
- 28:17Speaker 5: the first two episodes and I'm way behind right now,
- 28:20Speaker 5: and I eve't brought up to team last night. I
- 28:22Speaker 5: was like, he if we're gonna watch, let's watch the
- 28:23Speaker 5: land Man and get kind of back on track. But
- 28:25Speaker 5: then I see your tweet and I'm like, do I
- 28:28Speaker 5: just dip on the situation. I'm kind I'm kind of
- 28:31Speaker 5: gonna be.
- 28:31Speaker 6: Surprised if people just start falling off just getting off
- 28:34Speaker 6: the train. If they have another episode like that, I'm
- 28:36Speaker 6: telling you it's not gonna be good. It's not gonna
- 28:38Speaker 6: be good.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Have you talked stranger things?
- 28:41Speaker 10: Yeah, we talked in the last episode. I obviously want
- 28:47Speaker 10: to try to lose some weight get in shape playing
- 28:49Speaker 10: Mitch's flag football league. I think that'd be a lot
- 28:51Speaker 10: of fun. One big one for me is I can
- 28:54Speaker 10: say this now, but we my wife and I are
- 28:56Speaker 10: having another baby.
- 28:57Speaker 6: So that's like, oh yeah, I.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Quote graphic.
- 29:07Speaker 10: I want to make sure that I know my wife.
- 29:09Speaker 10: She she like crushes it, but I want to know.
- 29:12Speaker 10: I want her to know like she has my help
- 29:13Speaker 10: when I'm home and stuff, so when I'm home, change diapers, bottles,
- 29:17Speaker 10: try to be as present as I can when I'm home,
- 29:19Speaker 10: which I obviously am, but I want her to feel
- 29:21Speaker 10: like she's not the only person taking care of the kids,
- 29:24Speaker 10: which she does right now. She's great, She's a rock star.
- 29:27Speaker 10: And then kind of going off that this is a
- 29:29Speaker 10: new one. But you boys know that JJ was supposed
- 29:33Speaker 10: to play football. Some health stuff came up kind of stinks,
- 29:36Speaker 10: but he did get cleared that he can play flag football,
- 29:40Speaker 10: so we signed him up for the spring, and I
- 29:43Speaker 10: want to put so much energy into making him love
- 29:46Speaker 10: football and having fun and teaching him how to play
- 29:49Speaker 10: and have him be like in love with football.
- 29:51Speaker 3: As much as I am.
- 29:52Speaker 10: Yeah, and be a be a fucking Dan Lanning's already
- 29:55Speaker 10: reached out, but I said, it's a little early, a
- 29:57Speaker 10: little early to recruit, but I want J to love football.
- 30:01Speaker 10: And if he doesn't, hey, he doesn't, but I'm gonna
- 30:03Speaker 10: at least give every effort I can to make JJ
- 30:05Speaker 10: learn and love the game of football. So because I
- 30:08Speaker 10: think he's gonna.
- 30:09Speaker 5: Be one little tip for you for JJ, if you
- 30:13Speaker 5: want him to love football, maybe don't turn on the
- 30:14Speaker 5: fiddle for Eagles film a little bit of a snooze.
- 30:17Speaker 5: You want to have some exciting ball in place, right, Yeah,
- 30:19Speaker 5: that's probably the Rams. Rams is like one of those
- 30:23Speaker 5: high flight forty nine ers into the high flying drake
- 30:25Speaker 5: Mane the Patriots Bills.
- 30:26Speaker 7: I'm gonna gonna regret, Saxonville sneak.
- 30:31Speaker 3: Regret saying this.
- 30:32Speaker 10: But we we went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast, JJ's
- 30:35Speaker 10: favorite this weekend, and uh, we were talking about how
- 30:39Speaker 10: Organ's playing in the in the playoffs and there was
- 30:42Speaker 10: Tennessee gear there and he's like, no, I'm a Tennessee fan.
- 30:46Speaker 10: And JJ went up and grabbed this Tennessee jersey. I'm like, god,
- 30:49Speaker 10: damn it.
- 30:49Speaker 6: Jack, what is Jack doing? And in his.
- 30:53Speaker 7: Oregon his awn life.
- 30:55Speaker 10: But I just know, I think I think it's awesome
- 30:58Speaker 10: that J Like I want him to have fandom for real,
- 31:01Speaker 10: so that'll be fun.
- 31:02Speaker 5: So yeah, the hell indeed, dude, the battle of kids
- 31:08Speaker 5: and fandom is tough. Like, my kids love Michigan, but
- 31:11Speaker 5: they get you know, they learned about the Washington Huskies
- 31:14Speaker 5: and they're like, I kind of like the mascot. My
- 31:16Speaker 5: kids are Carolina Panther fans because of Surper. That's it.
- 31:20Speaker 5: That's the only reason.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Whatever.
- 31:25Speaker 5: So we gotta put them on the Titans. Guys, this
- 31:27Speaker 5: is this is the team. Yeah, welcome to Hell, all right?
- 31:34Speaker 5: We got in?
- 31:35Speaker 6: Yeah, feel good about it. Yeah. Again, Just for people
- 31:39Speaker 6: who don't have resis yet, I'm kind of still in
- 31:41Speaker 6: that same pocket. I feel like I have to get
- 31:42Speaker 6: really clear before I feel comfortable kind of saying what
- 31:45Speaker 6: these resolutions are going to be. But uh, hey, boys,
- 31:48Speaker 6: to a new year, to growth and becoming a better
- 31:52Speaker 6: version of ourselves vicious.
- 32:04Speaker 5: I love it the ladies, gentlemen, we interrupt this episode
- 32:06Speaker 5: to bring you roast Sparks. Roast sparks are two and
- 32:08Speaker 5: one prescription treatment for guys who need a secret weapon
- 32:11Speaker 5: against softness. Roast sparks give guys bigger, thicker, longer erections
- 32:14Speaker 5: because they get fuller after roast sparks dissolved. They're working
- 32:17Speaker 5: about fifteen minutes on average. If prescribe new sexual health
- 32:21Speaker 5: patients get fifteen dollars off their first order of sparks
- 32:23Speaker 5: on a recurring plan. Connect with the provider at row
- 32:26Speaker 5: dot co slash busting to find out a prescription roast
- 32:29Speaker 5: sparks are right for you. That's ro dot Co slash
- 32:32Speaker 5: busting for fifteen dollars off your first order. Rosso brought
- 32:35Speaker 5: to you by Neutral. If you try Neutral, if not,
- 32:38Speaker 5: you are missing out. Neutral is so much better than
- 32:40Speaker 5: the other seltzer I've tried. It's a real vodka and
- 32:43Speaker 5: real juice. That's what makes it delicious. They come in
- 32:44Speaker 5: a variety of flavors. This year's changed, but my favorites
- 32:48Speaker 5: are still pineapple and lime. Neutral is a perfect drink
- 32:51Speaker 5: to bring when you're hanging with friends. It is a
- 32:53Speaker 5: crowd pleaser. Maybe people are being some energy vampires out there.
- 32:56Speaker 5: All of a sudden, someone pops up with a nice
- 32:59Speaker 5: twelve pack of neutral vibes?
- 33:01Speaker 4: Are up?
- 33:01Speaker 5: Boys? Uh neutral? Let's keep a taste one thing over
- 33:05Speaker 5: the weekend. Did you guys see uh? So many challenges
- 33:08Speaker 5: mister Beast, or maybe just put out a little tweet
- 33:09Speaker 5: about mister Beast his next YouTube video being like funding
- 33:13Speaker 5: one of these like G five or smaller power four
- 33:16Speaker 5: power five school and just giving them one hundred million
- 33:19Speaker 5: dollars fifty million dollars and saying like, hey, can I
- 33:21Speaker 5: turn this smaller school into a powerhouse national championship team?
- 33:25Speaker 5: Do we love the idea a game?
- 33:27Speaker 11: Hey?
- 33:27Speaker 6: Yeah? Hate it?
- 33:29Speaker 5: Hate it?
- 33:29Speaker 6: Hate it? What do you hate it? A part of me?
- 33:33Speaker 1: Part of me.
- 33:33Speaker 6: But it's just.
- 33:37Speaker 10: If mister b said I'm going to make Nebraska a
- 33:40Speaker 10: national championship contender right now, you would.
- 33:42Speaker 5: Be like, fuck yeah, mister fail.
- 33:45Speaker 10: It won't There's no way it's gonna fail.
- 33:48Speaker 5: Buy it would fail if he.
- 33:49Speaker 10: Put if he put one hundred million dollars into a
- 33:51Speaker 10: college football roster, they put in forty in one to Natty.
- 33:54Speaker 3: The lost Texas textas put it on however much they did,
- 33:57Speaker 3: and they got.
- 33:58Speaker 5: Tastes take only to twenty five.
- 34:00Speaker 10: Yeah, you got to get the right guys. One hundred mili.
- 34:02Speaker 10: You make it impossible. You pay every five star five
- 34:04Speaker 10: plus million dollars.
- 34:06Speaker 6: Clumps so obsessed with five stars. I don't know, I
- 34:08Speaker 6: don't I don't know what my thought is and why
- 34:10Speaker 6: I hate it. I just I feel like it's just
- 34:12Speaker 6: a move that just creates more of I guess, yeah,
- 34:17Speaker 6: it creates it into more of like some reality game
- 34:19Speaker 6: that everybody can participate in. Not everybody, But I don't know.
- 34:22Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 34:23Speaker 6: I don't know what my full thought is, but my
- 34:25Speaker 6: initial my initial feeling is hated. Right.
- 34:28Speaker 5: Why do you hate it though? Because that's a possibility
- 34:31Speaker 5: in college football, Like the way mister Bees, if you
- 34:33Speaker 5: want to make that video, that is a real possibility.
- 34:36Speaker 5: If he was like, you know what, I Am going
- 34:37Speaker 5: to give one hundred million dollars to this logo here
- 34:39Speaker 5: at ECU and make them a powerhouse. In order for
- 34:42Speaker 5: culturable to go forward, something like this might have to
- 34:45Speaker 5: happen in order to correct itself so we can get
- 34:48Speaker 5: college football back to where it needs to go. So personally,
- 34:51Speaker 5: I love it needs to go with timeline structure, salary capped,
- 34:57Speaker 5: kind of more of an NFL structure when it comes
- 35:00Speaker 5: to like, hey, we can't just have a billion dollars
- 35:02Speaker 5: like throwing out these kids twenty four to seven. I'm
- 35:03Speaker 5: all about kids getting paid, but when it's like, you know,
- 35:06Speaker 5: you have these handful of teams that can pay players,
- 35:09Speaker 5: you know, forty fifty sixty million dollars on one roster,
- 35:12Speaker 5: and then there's a bunch of you know, other schools.
- 35:14Speaker 5: I can't do that. It's like now you're on evening
- 35:16Speaker 5: the playing field. There's much more uneven than it used
- 35:18Speaker 5: to be. That's why you see all this weird sec
- 35:21Speaker 5: in Bay ten and then everybody else kind of vibe.
- 35:24Speaker 6: Yeah, so you want it to happen so universally would
- 35:27Speaker 6: be seen as lookout, ridiculous.
- 35:29Speaker 5: Look look what's happened here? Because there needs to be
- 35:31Speaker 5: more structure taking place, because I think in ten years
- 35:34Speaker 5: or so, there's gonna be a Netflix documentary of like
- 35:36Speaker 5: The Wild West of how the Nile was, and there
- 35:39Speaker 5: needs to be something similar to these two G five
- 35:41Speaker 5: teams made in the playoffs this year. It's like, okay,
- 35:44Speaker 5: if the two G five teams didn't get in, maybe
- 35:46Speaker 5: the same structure takes place, and I think there's more
- 35:48Speaker 5: of a pressing issue now for something to get done
- 35:51Speaker 5: to where we have more of a competitive twelve team
- 35:53Speaker 5: playoff going into next year, and then timing when when
- 35:57Speaker 5: does that happen? When does the season end without these
- 35:59Speaker 5: two G five teams? Maybe we're still looking over it
- 36:02Speaker 5: until like catastrophic type things happen. So you kind of
- 36:06Speaker 5: need it, you don't need something. Maybe this dramatic, but
- 36:09Speaker 5: I love the idea of mister Beast, the number one
- 36:12Speaker 5: YouTuber or the last what five years in a row,
- 36:14Speaker 5: six years in a row. I love the idea of
- 36:17Speaker 5: him trying to take something out of his own wheelhouse,
- 36:19Speaker 5: coming into our wheelhouse and just having fun with it,
- 36:23Speaker 5: showing us how stupid we look. Look, look how dumb
- 36:25Speaker 5: you guys are. Like, you guys are a football podcast,
- 36:27Speaker 5: Yet you can't do this, imagine.
- 36:29Speaker 6: That's why I hate it. That's why we got to
- 36:30Speaker 6: defend it. No, man, things something.
- 36:35Speaker 8: Things I'm looking forward to with the Mister Beast thing
- 36:38Speaker 8: is one the thumbnail on the video is gonna go
- 36:40Speaker 8: crazy crazy.
- 36:41Speaker 6: Uh too.
- 36:43Speaker 8: Just the entire apparatus of streamers and YouTubers all adopting in,
- 36:48Speaker 8: Like I show Speed's gonna want to be a wide
- 36:50Speaker 8: receiver on the team. You're gonna have all these personalities
- 36:53Speaker 8: that want their hand in the cookie jar. It will
- 36:56Speaker 8: be the wildest circus slash car ash to get the witness.
- 37:01Speaker 1: He'll be fun.
- 37:02Speaker 5: And imagine he put a hundred million dollars get all
- 37:04Speaker 5: the best players and they lose one game, Like, who's
- 37:08Speaker 5: the team that's taking them out?
- 37:09Speaker 6: Taking the game? I love, man, Let's turn into a
- 37:12Speaker 6: circus for a year.
- 37:13Speaker 5: It's a circus to tell. Also, the Nebraska end comes up.
- 37:15Speaker 5: He's like, you know that, mister Beest guy's got a point.
- 37:18Speaker 5: He kind of Holgerson, got something happen over here.
- 37:22Speaker 6: Now, come on, Ain't nobody gonna turn the Nebraska into
- 37:26Speaker 6: the reality show man, not my Huskers. You have turn
- 37:34Speaker 6: Nebraska into reality.
- 37:35Speaker 5: Yeah, you turned into like this thing. That's a good thing.
- 37:38Speaker 5: You've shined such a light on him and it is
- 37:40Speaker 5: really a reality show. At the Rayola and rule he's
- 37:43Speaker 5: got a podcast, like Nebraska is becoming more and more
- 37:46Speaker 5: reality show every single year. This isn't Nebraska Midwest sitting
- 37:49Speaker 5: in the background anymore.
- 37:52Speaker 1: But am I.
- 37:53Speaker 5: Wrong and it's not a shot.
- 37:55Speaker 6: That's yeah, don't have a reality from the say sixty
- 38:00Speaker 6: six year old Kyle Witting, We got.
- 38:04Speaker 7: The reality show.
- 38:07Speaker 6: I'm trying to keep like, don't try to make this
- 38:09Speaker 6: thing a joke. You're saying, I'm making my school a joke.
- 38:16Speaker 5: You think reality TV is different than I do. I
- 38:18Speaker 5: think it's like, hey, Will is shining a light on
- 38:20Speaker 5: a school that if there was not a Will, common
- 38:23Speaker 5: turns not a whole lot of thought taking place. When
- 38:25Speaker 5: it comes to Nebraska, they're brushed over much more if
- 38:28Speaker 5: it wasn't for Will Compton raising the tide so the
- 38:31Speaker 5: boats can lift a little higher.
- 38:32Speaker 6: And theres got a brand on their own. Bro'right, we're
- 38:35Speaker 6: topping baseball top and volleyball top of basketball right now,
- 38:38Speaker 6: top and wrestling top and bowling.
- 38:41Speaker 5: I got you.
- 38:42Speaker 6: Football is a little bit of the anchor right now
- 38:43Speaker 6: in Nebraska.
- 38:44Speaker 5: Yeah, no doubt dragging it down and you need one
- 38:47Speaker 5: right right. That's why we need to make a little
- 38:49Speaker 5: bit of a spectacle out of it to make sure
- 38:51Speaker 5: everyone we get this team into a Big Ten championship.
- 38:54Speaker 5: JP years and years go by, one thing is a change.
- 38:58Speaker 5: This man loves the the poking President. You know what
- 39:01Speaker 5: you're doing too. You know what you're doing.
- 39:04Speaker 6: Because I'm saying you did say I said it, but
- 39:08Speaker 6: you have done that.
- 39:09Speaker 1: On your own.
- 39:09Speaker 6: I'm like, no, no, no, no, no no.
- 39:10Speaker 5: No no no no no, I say that, and that those words,
- 39:13Speaker 5: that little backdraft peanut gallery thing doesn't happen. You're understand
- 39:17Speaker 5: that I'm giving you a compliment. JP be like, that's crazy.
- 39:20Speaker 5: Now your will contempbrand is like, it goes back to.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Crazy.
- 39:26Speaker 6: You're trying to use to say you can't come up with.
- 39:30Speaker 5: Yeah, you're right, look at you, JP, and this is
- 39:33Speaker 5: puppeteering at It's fine as dude.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Man.
- 39:37Speaker 4: You said spectacle, not me.
- 39:38Speaker 1: Man.
- 39:39Speaker 5: I said we had a TV. He said, you're trying
- 39:41Speaker 5: to try new spectacle. I say, bro, we kind of
- 39:43Speaker 5: need a spectacle in Nebrasko.
- 39:44Speaker 4: You said without WILLSKA.
- 39:46Speaker 5: I have clearly said I support Nebraska.
- 39:50Speaker 11: Clearly.
- 39:51Speaker 5: I had tried to swivel my chair on this man
- 39:53Speaker 5: about a month ago. All right, I have supported No
- 39:57Speaker 5: matter what I'm saying, extracurricular things need to happened so
- 40:00Speaker 5: the block N can become more relevant in this world
- 40:04Speaker 5: of an ile that we live in and thank god
- 40:06Speaker 5: Will Compton co host a Bustle with the Boys, is
- 40:09Speaker 5: waving that flag, I'm.
- 40:10Speaker 6: The bad guy for that. No, hey, that that that
- 40:18Speaker 6: that's that's a new year's RESI that's a new year's
- 40:20Speaker 6: Trus Taylor more No, no, no, that's a new year's
- 40:23Speaker 6: resis pushing the brake on the schedule re lease. You
- 40:29Speaker 6: got to get through the expectation. You got to get
- 40:30Speaker 6: through the.
- 40:31Speaker 5: Transfer portal before you're gonna have any idea of what's
- 40:32Speaker 5: gonna happen with you.
- 40:33Speaker 6: I'm not gonna have like expectation. This a week by
- 40:36Speaker 6: week year, this a week by week like I'm I'm
- 40:38Speaker 6: thinking to myself, I need to get out there for
- 40:40Speaker 6: a week and be in be in the trenches with
- 40:43Speaker 6: the boys, learn a little bit more, not just be
- 40:45Speaker 6: out here talking about the expectations and everything else. So
- 40:47Speaker 6: I'm I'm holding myself accountable by not getting out there
- 40:50Speaker 6: and doing the whole the whole schedule thing. We're gonna
- 40:52Speaker 6: go undefeated.
- 40:55Speaker 5: You're gonna know exactly where this team stands at the
- 40:57Speaker 5: end of that week.
- 40:58Speaker 6: It's a it's every week is going to be. We're
- 41:00Speaker 6: gonna start oh and oh.
- 41:03Speaker 4: Every day on every day about this might.
- 41:05Speaker 5: Be the biggest thing to happen in twenty six, not
- 41:09Speaker 5: just we're ten and two. We're ten, like you're every
- 41:12Speaker 5: week getting after it. What are we going to be
- 41:14Speaker 5: this week? Last weeks don't matter. I love the idea.
- 41:17Speaker 5: Thank you, It's awesome. He still thinks I'm trying to
- 41:19Speaker 5: get them. His brain is still trying to find ways
- 41:24Speaker 5: to be defensive.
- 41:25Speaker 6: It's not all right. You're the one assuming and talking
- 41:28Speaker 6: right now.
- 41:28Speaker 5: You're right. Let's see, let's see what else.
- 41:32Speaker 1: Shout out.
- 41:33Speaker 5: Oh yeah, shout out, no free shout out, dude, shout out,
- 41:36Speaker 5: no free shout out. Bringing it back early in the year. Huh,
- 41:39Speaker 5: first one of the year. Anybody I shout out, no
- 41:41Speaker 5: free shout They want to kind of break down.
- 41:43Speaker 6: Shout out, no free, shout out the Nebraska basketball team.
- 41:46Speaker 6: Fourteen and oh, first time in our program's history. Best
- 41:49Speaker 6: start we've ever had to a season is ten and oh.
- 41:51Speaker 6: So each time we get a dub, we're rewriting history.
- 41:54Speaker 6: We shout out the Nebraska basketball team.
- 41:56Speaker 5: I love that.
- 41:57Speaker 4: Shout out, no free. Shout out to the White Elephants
- 42:00Speaker 4: gift exchange that we did. Yes, that was all time.
- 42:03Speaker 4: There was so many highs, so many lows. There was
- 42:06Speaker 4: a great vibe for the whole for the whole team.
- 42:08Speaker 5: He has a lot of fun.
- 42:10Speaker 6: Yeah, that game, dude, go ahead was Clump's gift. Oh
- 42:16Speaker 6: BROI Kirkland Steak thinking he's bringing in something extravagant. Yeah,
- 42:22Speaker 6: and he's all they're opening the gift.
- 42:23Speaker 5: I'm gonna that back.
- 42:24Speaker 6: I'm gonna eat that back. It's in like eight different
- 42:26Speaker 6: containers before you even get to the gift. And then
- 42:28Speaker 6: somebody yanks out of Kirkland Steak. It's like, Clump, bro,
- 42:31Speaker 6: come on, if you want to give the guys experience,
- 42:32Speaker 6: I get him right, get him right for real, because
- 42:35Speaker 6: he could fool the cats who are in the early
- 42:37Speaker 6: twenties be like, oh yeah a rib steak, Clump, we
- 42:40Speaker 6: go to the same spots.
- 42:41Speaker 5: Yeah, And the young cats are thinking themselves, will they
- 42:44Speaker 5: just know that Rabbi is a good cut of meat,
- 42:46Speaker 5: that's all they they really know. When there's a billion
- 42:49Speaker 5: butcher shops that you can go to around here and
- 42:52Speaker 5: his grab herself a tomahawk for probably the same price.
- 42:55Speaker 10: Clump, Yeah, I uh be better next year. I'm already
- 43:01Speaker 10: thinking of gifts for next next year. But uh, there
- 43:04Speaker 10: is one. There is one thing. I'm about to leave
- 43:08Speaker 10: on Friday and I'm like, man, the fridge kind of smells.
- 43:11Speaker 6: What is that.
- 43:13Speaker 4: I open up the fridge.
- 43:15Speaker 10: Those fucking steaks are still sitting there.
- 43:19Speaker 4: I call chef.
- 43:19Speaker 10: I'm like, hey, chef. He's like, just take him home.
- 43:24Speaker 10: I can't come back to get him. They're gonna go bad.
- 43:26Speaker 10: I take them home. They were bad, so no one
- 43:31Speaker 10: even ate the damn steaks. To make it even worse,
- 43:35Speaker 10: I touched the chef. I said, if I would what's
- 43:37Speaker 10: it called Smoking Oaks. If I would have went to
- 43:39Speaker 10: Smoking Oaks, it probably STI would have been good till
- 43:41Speaker 10: the weekend.
- 43:41Speaker 6: But Franklin Farmer's Market's got some good picks down there.
- 43:45Speaker 4: I think that we had to have the widest range
- 43:48Speaker 4: of gifts of any white elephant ever. It went from
- 43:51Speaker 4: a cold tub to Kirkland steaks, to a phone cleaner,
- 43:54Speaker 4: to a meat dehydrator, to a machete, to a machete,
- 43:57Speaker 4: and to a playboy that the lady was just said.
- 44:02Speaker 4: The lady said three times a gee, that's a classic.
- 44:06Speaker 5: Well. I think one of the most overlooked presents we
- 44:09Speaker 5: saw was a plastic mountain dew cup and a size
- 44:13Speaker 5: large Blink one Edity two T shirt that would literally
- 44:15Speaker 5: fit nobody in the office.
- 44:17Speaker 6: It was metal, bad white, Elefant Gifts pet Beef. Yeah, yeah,
- 44:20Speaker 6: I'm not gonna lie.
- 44:21Speaker 3: When I picked this out, I'm like, oh yeah, I'm
- 44:23Speaker 3: kind of fired up about this. It's not like the
- 44:25Speaker 3: biggest gift. But like I saw that mug and Spencer's
- 44:28Speaker 3: and I'm like, dish rips. And then I was in
- 44:31Speaker 3: the like the T shirt wall and I saw the
- 44:32Speaker 3: Blink one two. I'm like, all they have is like
- 44:35Speaker 3: a four x like I know, but like it was
- 44:40Speaker 3: the classic Blink one eighty two album and like this
- 44:42Speaker 3: Taylor's gonna love.
- 44:44Speaker 4: I'm cutting a clip.
- 44:46Speaker 6: Mitch White Elvis sorty, He's like, I did pretty good.
- 44:52Speaker 6: Large T shirt got held up. It's like and I was,
- 44:56Speaker 6: and Mitch.
- 44:56Speaker 5: Was at me and goes, I thought you would have
- 44:57Speaker 5: liked that. I was like, yeah, if it was my size.
- 44:59Speaker 5: When you talk about dude, and I think that they
- 45:02Speaker 5: before the wash, there's a crop tops. They got my
- 45:04Speaker 5: belly button showing back.
- 45:05Speaker 6: And he's thinking of you too that you just all
- 45:07Speaker 6: of a sudden, like, bro, look at the size of
- 45:09Speaker 6: his shirt. What am I gonna do it?
- 45:10Speaker 5: Like, I'm gonna purge myself for fifteen days just talking
- 45:13Speaker 5: fit into that shirt.
- 45:13Speaker 1: It's crazy.
- 45:15Speaker 3: A couple of months ago.
- 45:16Speaker 5: Yeah, and I still wouldn't fit into a large dude. Bro,
- 45:19Speaker 5: There's ribcage is different.
- 45:21Speaker 3: It's the ribcage, Dude.
- 45:23Speaker 4: I'm cutting the clip right now because bus scenes is
- 45:26Speaker 4: going out tonight and it's like just a clip of
- 45:28Speaker 4: every single gift being opened or stolen. And when Clay
- 45:32Speaker 4: opens the Mountain Deuke Cup, he's holding it up and
- 45:36Speaker 4: somebody in the back is like, oh, he just paying
- 45:39Speaker 4: over the mitch, and Mitch is like he felt it.
- 45:45Speaker 4: He was like, I just had a hitter hand up.
- 45:48Speaker 5: Hey, I got Will's uh cam quarter? What is this
- 45:51Speaker 5: thing called kim the camp?
- 45:53Speaker 4: How's it been going, dude?
- 45:54Speaker 5: Kids are loving it. They're doing like an outdoors TV
- 45:58Speaker 5: show right now throughout out there in the woods doing
- 46:01Speaker 5: their thing. It's so much fun.
- 46:02Speaker 1: Boys.
- 46:03Speaker 4: I love it, Buddy.
- 46:08Speaker 5: You gotta play chess in the White Elephant always.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Bro.
- 46:13Speaker 4: It's not that deep, huh, Bro, It's not that he
- 46:19Speaker 4: said you were being like equity like all this bull crap.
- 46:21Speaker 5: Yeah, that's that that's the fun.
- 46:22Speaker 6: Part of White Elephant was talking about you gotta get
- 46:25Speaker 6: equity in some of these Yeah.
- 46:27Speaker 3: Yeah, bro, no, it's like just pick a present.
- 46:31Speaker 5: The energy was sucked out like a vampire in this
- 46:33Speaker 5: bus right now. All I'm saying is, dude, it's fun
- 46:36Speaker 5: to play the game. Look on people's faces when you
- 46:39Speaker 5: snatch that ship away from that yours. Yeah, hell yeah,
- 46:45Speaker 5: daft him up to after, Hey, you're pretty pissed that.
- 46:47Speaker 5: He goes, Yeah, I'm tired about it, but all right, cool,
- 46:49Speaker 5: see I do.
- 46:50Speaker 3: After after it's over, it's like, damn, he really wanted
- 46:52Speaker 3: that camera was like, yeah, he's like that sucks.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Just walked away.
- 46:58Speaker 5: Gott I gotta know to play the game, man, gotta
- 47:00Speaker 5: know how to play the game.
- 47:03Speaker 7: I just have a shout out.
- 47:04Speaker 5: Shout out.
- 47:08Speaker 7: My mind's a shout out. Now that holiday season is
- 47:11Speaker 7: officially over, and I love the holiday season. I love
- 47:14Speaker 7: Thanksgiving and Christmas New Year's there is also a time
- 47:17Speaker 7: where you need to take down your holiday decorations. Whatever
- 47:20Speaker 7: day that is for you and your family. I don't
- 47:22Speaker 7: really it doesn't as long as it's before January end. Sure,
- 47:26Speaker 7: I think if it's the tailing of January that's too much,
- 47:29Speaker 7: but shout out to once you get your house back
- 47:31Speaker 7: to like a sense of normalcy. I took down on
- 47:33Speaker 7: my holiday decorations, my tree and everything and got just
- 47:36Speaker 7: my house back to square one. And the feeling once
- 47:40Speaker 7: everything swept up and cleaned and you got all the
- 47:42Speaker 7: things back in boxes and stored, there's some good fresh
- 47:46Speaker 7: start feeling that kind of comes with that. Also with
- 47:48Speaker 7: like the New Year's I think it mixes in, but
- 47:50Speaker 7: shout out to once you get your house just back
- 47:52Speaker 7: to square one. And I like that and it felt
- 47:55Speaker 7: good doing it myself. So I know you guys have
- 47:57Speaker 7: wives and stuff, and not that that's like, you know,
- 47:59Speaker 7: has to be a wife duty. It does seem like
- 48:02Speaker 7: the wives typically are you taking your holiday decorations down?
- 48:06Speaker 5: No, I believe in blue jobs and picking jobs don't
- 48:07Speaker 5: keep going up.
- 48:08Speaker 7: But yeah, shout out to once you get everything cacked
- 48:10Speaker 7: away and you can kind of start the new year,
- 48:13Speaker 7: get ready, get active, push forward. I guess the next
- 48:16Speaker 7: one is Valentine's Day, so but of course, yeah, well
- 48:20Speaker 7: actually January sixth.
- 48:22Speaker 5: Money line King, Yeah, the new Year's new yer really
- 48:27Speaker 5: doesn't start until you those Christmas decorations are down. Yeah
- 48:30Speaker 5: you can't. So really, a lot of people are still
- 48:32Speaker 5: living in twenty twenty five right now.
- 48:33Speaker 7: What what is the what's the absolute max amount of
- 48:36Speaker 7: time post New Year's that you will allow your decorations
- 48:39Speaker 7: to stay up?
- 48:39Speaker 6: God?
- 48:40Speaker 5: I bounce back and forth on that, man.
- 48:42Speaker 6: Yeah, mine's more. You gotta have them done by February.
- 48:46Speaker 7: So y'all is y'all's tree still up?
- 48:48Speaker 6: And yeah, but we're moving this month?
- 48:50Speaker 7: Oh yeah, yeah, when's the when's the team housewarming party?
- 48:56Speaker 6: Olympics?
- 48:57Speaker 5: We'll talk about it, no, I know, but we still
- 49:00Speaker 5: got to get set up. Yeah, a vacant house. Yeah,
- 49:08Speaker 5: murder in there?
- 49:09Speaker 6: Yes, I've already thought about the murder mystery, dude. Yeah,
- 49:14Speaker 6: where we got the got the cold plunge coming getting
- 49:18Speaker 6: shipped to the house?
- 49:19Speaker 3: When when it is moved? Like final The.
- 49:22Speaker 6: Week of January nineteenth, two weeks.
- 49:25Speaker 4: I drove on Wheel Street that thing nice man?
- 49:30Speaker 6: You went over there?
- 49:30Speaker 1: I did.
- 49:31Speaker 4: I mean there was only two houses under construction, and
- 49:34Speaker 4: they were both awesome, and I had an idea which
- 49:36Speaker 4: one it might have been. And I mean I went
- 49:39Speaker 4: down this way. I was like, let me make sure
- 49:41Speaker 4: came back again. There was a it's a double take house.
- 49:44Speaker 6: Oh that's nice, fired out.
- 49:48Speaker 5: It does, it does, Will is moving a little bit different.
- 49:50Speaker 6: Twenty six dude, get a little motion.
- 49:54Speaker 3: The old house from two houses ago and.
- 49:58Speaker 6: It's rented right now.
- 49:59Speaker 5: Bro, pet Peeve, when I get on this super eat
- 50:03Speaker 5: so this Postmates thing and you hit the priority and
- 50:06Speaker 5: it's like a good twenty thirty minutes difference between Priority
- 50:09Speaker 5: and the regular, and then it comes at the time
- 50:12Speaker 5: the regular in the boxer win. The regular said, it's like, yo,
- 50:15Speaker 5: am I getting a refund then for paying for that priority?
- 50:17Speaker 5: That shit pisss.
- 50:18Speaker 6: Bro.
- 50:19Speaker 5: They've been thank you, thank you. It's a clean take
- 50:21Speaker 5: on my pet peeve.
- 50:22Speaker 6: I've been noticing the optics. They get this wide range
- 50:25Speaker 6: of priority and it chaps my ass.
- 50:28Speaker 7: Chaps, you can get a refund for that stuff. I
- 50:31Speaker 7: don't know if you're going to go through the trouble
- 50:32Speaker 7: of doing so, but if it shows up at the
- 50:34Speaker 7: same time, go on there report an issue and you
- 50:36Speaker 7: can say that your priority delivery was delivered at the
- 50:40Speaker 7: wrong time and they'll they'll give you, like, you know,
- 50:43Speaker 7: six bucks back or something. I don't know if that's
- 50:45Speaker 7: in your wheelhouse or if it's more just we want
- 50:47Speaker 7: to be frustrated because.
- 50:48Speaker 6: The accountability and justice is always worth it.
- 50:52Speaker 4: In my own hands. I'll never leave it up to them.
- 50:55Speaker 5: Should you go out and get your food every time?
- 50:57Speaker 6: Yeah, JP's been that way for years.
- 50:59Speaker 5: Rule, Yeah, what's the rule?
- 51:03Speaker 4: If I'm gonna what is my rule?
- 51:04Speaker 6: If you're gonna, if you're gonna order delivery, like you
- 51:07Speaker 6: have to get out of the house to go get.
- 51:09Speaker 4: It, right, Yeah, if you order it, you gotta go
- 51:11Speaker 4: pick it up. Because if I'm lazy enough not to
- 51:13Speaker 4: make my food, I ought to be able to go
- 51:15Speaker 4: out there and go pick it up at least.
- 51:18Speaker 6: Yeah. That's yeah, that's good. Principle is stand on? Yeah?
- 51:21Speaker 4: Yeah, what is it?
- 51:24Speaker 6: Hang on?
- 51:24Speaker 4: I got a lot of rules and principles.
- 51:26Speaker 6: Man. I gotta write a book.
- 51:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I gotta write a book. Maybe that's another New
- 51:30Speaker 4: Year's goal, write a book.
- 51:32Speaker 6: Shout outs pet Peeves.
- 51:33Speaker 8: I got a little shout out, no free shout out
- 51:35Speaker 8: uh to the people that and now some people were
- 51:38Speaker 8: saying that this was illegal.
- 51:39Speaker 6: I didn't know that.
- 51:40Speaker 8: But shout out no free shout out to the people
- 51:43Speaker 8: that give you the little flash of the brides letting
- 51:46Speaker 8: you know a cops up ahead. That's a big one.
- 51:50Speaker 8: And the second one flashed the brides to let you know, hey,
- 51:53Speaker 8: your headlights are off, dude, turn those on.
- 51:58Speaker 3: Have you guys ever heard the conspiracy? Don't know if
- 52:00Speaker 3: it's true or not. If the car has their lights
- 52:04Speaker 3: out and you flash them, there's some like gangs that
- 52:07Speaker 3: like if you flash it, you have to kill that person,
- 52:09Speaker 3: and like it's a gang initiation thing. That car now
- 52:12Speaker 3: has to kill you. So I like, I kind of
- 52:15Speaker 3: don't do it.
- 52:16Speaker 6: I have heard that maybe in some parts of the world.
- 52:18Speaker 5: No, Nasturville not my city.
- 52:21Speaker 1: We didn't.
- 52:22Speaker 4: Yeah, we brought that up one time on the podcast before,
- 52:26Speaker 4: and all the comments was like, what type of white
- 52:28Speaker 4: person ship is this? No, that's not real.
- 52:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I fell for it.
- 52:32Speaker 4: No, I fell for it.
- 52:33Speaker 3: Too, and I probably will still continue to fall for it.
- 52:35Speaker 5: Right, I'll tell you'll think twice, all of us will
- 52:38Speaker 5: think twice. Next time we're driving we see a car
- 52:39Speaker 5: with no headlights, I will popular let that one ride. YEA,
- 52:42Speaker 5: all good?
- 52:43Speaker 9: Do you flash them or do you hit the on off? See,
- 52:48Speaker 9: that's why y'all are getting killed. You got to hit
- 52:50Speaker 9: them with the on off. When your lights are off,
- 52:53Speaker 9: you let them know, Hey, your ship's off, turn them on.
- 52:56Speaker 9: That's why y'all are you're off?
- 52:59Speaker 1: Get back?
- 53:00Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 53:01Speaker 1: I like that.
- 53:01Speaker 9: I also do love when I like see someone and
- 53:04Speaker 9: I pull up next to him. I'll always be like, hey,
- 53:06Speaker 9: roll your window down and I'm like what, I'm like,
- 53:08Speaker 9: your lights are off, and they're like, all right, appreciate him,
- 53:11Speaker 9: Like just did my duty.
- 53:12Speaker 5: Yeah, Hell you're out.
- 53:13Speaker 6: Helly're not getting killed today.
- 53:15Speaker 5: Yeah, there's definitely a karma effect when you kind of
- 53:17Speaker 5: let somebody go in front of you, let the merge,
- 53:20Speaker 5: everyone's pressing them out. Just do a little something on
- 53:22Speaker 5: the road. It makes you feel good about yourself when
- 53:24Speaker 5: it all gets absolutely shout out no for shadow. I
- 53:27Speaker 5: don't know if you've guys seen it. We ever really
- 53:28Speaker 5: talks about the bus yet. But I got a new
- 53:29Speaker 5: truck truck Curtesy lift the Trucks dot Com and listen, dude,
- 53:37Speaker 5: I'm a guy with my truck. I like to have
- 53:38Speaker 5: a little custom something on it, right, whether it's a
- 53:40Speaker 5: leveling kit, some nice many tires, a little space going
- 53:42Speaker 5: there so we have a nice little ground feel, a
- 53:44Speaker 5: little foundational feeling. That thing I get connected with this
- 53:47Speaker 5: dude named Dustin, who's part of Lift Trucks dot Com.
- 53:49Speaker 5: We on the phone. He's like, Hey, if you want
- 53:51Speaker 5: to do a little X, Y and Z, let us
- 53:52Speaker 5: know what kind of trucking what you want on it.
- 53:54Speaker 5: I end up going with the truck that I got,
- 53:56Speaker 5: and I was like, I would love for these specific
- 53:58Speaker 5: things to get done. They pull one of these boys
- 54:00Speaker 5: stock out of nowhere within ten days. Ten anybody who's
- 54:04Speaker 5: ever gotten something done with trucks, you know it takes
- 54:05Speaker 5: like a month at least. Sometimes within ten days, they
- 54:08Speaker 5: had this thing dialed up to the tea exactly what
- 54:11Speaker 5: I asked for, shipped it over to the Nashville location.
- 54:13Speaker 5: Your bullet was riding nice for a minute because as
- 54:16Speaker 5: I get older, as my gout starts to take over
- 54:18Speaker 5: my body, and I realized, hey, you're not gonna live forever.
- 54:21Speaker 5: Something about a lug, not a luxury, but like a
- 54:24Speaker 5: comfortable ride in a vehicle is starting to speak to
- 54:27Speaker 5: me a little bit more than Hey, let's let's retro car.
- 54:30Speaker 5: Let's not have it. Maybe the a sea doesn't work.
- 54:32Speaker 5: Sometimes you're breaking down, you're running out of gas because
- 54:34Speaker 5: you're a little deal doesn't work. It's getting a little
- 54:36Speaker 5: old to your boy. So I feel my age is
- 54:38Speaker 5: kind of getting up a little bit. So it's nice
- 54:40Speaker 5: to be in a modern vehicles.
- 54:41Speaker 3: Late, I'm trying to hear them.
- 54:44Speaker 5: And they do rip too. I getting the kids in
- 54:45Speaker 5: my car and they're like, let's hear it. They want
- 54:47Speaker 5: to they want we want to hear go boom. So
- 54:49Speaker 5: I put a little K Pop Demon Hunter on. Hey,
- 54:52Speaker 5: how it's done, and that day blairs, My kids are
- 54:55Speaker 5: bouncing in the backseat. Dude, how it's done. I'm like,
- 54:59Speaker 5: oh seven, dude, put on a little little wing. Crank
- 55:02Speaker 5: that shit up to ten. I'm in there, just perfect eardrums,
- 55:05Speaker 5: just fucking ringing when I get out of that truck.
- 55:07Speaker 6: Sometimes, yeah, you dig, that was the banger.
- 55:13Speaker 5: Thee that was, And it was always the cat that
- 55:16Speaker 5: had to blacked out. Chevy suburban blacked out with the
- 55:19Speaker 5: subs them back and you hear them coming from three
- 55:21Speaker 5: blocks away, pulling in, pulling into the school parking lot,
- 55:24Speaker 5: and you're like, motherfucker, yeah, that must be nice, dude.
- 55:28Speaker 5: I'm walking this four Taurus nineteen ninety four four Taurus
- 55:31Speaker 5: basic ass stereo system, you know.
- 55:34Speaker 6: Anyway onward, Yeah, we have some tear talk does anybody
- 55:37Speaker 6: else have any other pet peeves or shoutouts they wanna
- 55:40Speaker 6: get off their chests. Okay, we will go into tier
- 55:43Speaker 6: talk again. If you want a chance to be featured
- 55:44Speaker 6: on the show, just hashtag tear talk with whatever your take, opinion,
- 55:47Speaker 6: whatever you're coming is hashtag tear talk. We will we
- 55:50Speaker 6: will feature you on the show. This one comes from
- 55:52Speaker 6: Big Third Down Here Pod as a new football podcast.
- 55:56Speaker 6: What advice would you give to us hashtag tier talk?
- 56:00Speaker 6: Also as former players when you are locked into a
- 56:02Speaker 6: divisional game matchup? Is there a is there a specific
- 56:06Speaker 6: time or day that you are hoping for? Hashtag tier
- 56:09Speaker 6: talk huge fans tier ones all day.
- 56:13Speaker 5: I'm gonna shut up new podcasts.
- 56:15Speaker 6: Yeah, shut up, Big third Down, Third Down Here Pod.
- 56:19Speaker 5: Yeah, good talk, Yeah yeah, good name. I think it
- 56:22Speaker 5: always goes back to what we say, like if you're
- 56:24Speaker 5: gonna do it, and whether there's me a weekly kidence
- 56:26Speaker 5: every other week, make sure you're consistent about it when
- 56:28Speaker 5: you say you're gonna come out regardless if it's a
- 56:30Speaker 5: good podcast or a bad podcast, like put it out
- 56:32Speaker 5: and engage with your fans. Just consistency as everything you
- 56:37Speaker 5: have to So yeah, backloging man, that's a.
- 56:41Speaker 6: Whole Yeah, a whole different game in this rule where
- 56:45Speaker 6: everybody's kind of fighting for attention. If you're a football podcast,
- 56:48Speaker 6: I would say, if that is what your niche is,
- 56:50Speaker 6: it's having whether whether you're previewing games or recapping games,
- 56:54Speaker 6: like you know, that's where speed comes into play. Uh.
- 56:57Speaker 6: But yeah, your authenticity Obviously, I don't know the chemistry
- 56:59Speaker 6: that banter what everybody what their show is about, but
- 57:03Speaker 6: staying true to that and then treating your audience like
- 57:05Speaker 6: they are your best friend. And I do even saying that.
- 57:08Speaker 6: I feel like at times like something that our brand
- 57:10Speaker 6: gets away from at times is engaging and you know,
- 57:15Speaker 6: building that community within our Tier one audience. I know,
- 57:18Speaker 6: like a there's like hot seasons and colder seasons. I
- 57:20Speaker 6: feel like during football season when we're doing all these
- 57:23Speaker 6: different things, whether it's busting recap football busting, keeping our
- 57:26Speaker 6: show or interview show the way it is preview shows,
- 57:31Speaker 6: the locker room for the dads, inside the bus, going
- 57:34Speaker 6: on ESPN, where a lot of things to a lot
- 57:36Speaker 6: of people, and we kind of lose focus at times
- 57:38Speaker 6: of our main audience, which is one thing I would
- 57:40Speaker 6: love to challenge this on as a brand going into
- 57:42Speaker 6: twenty twenty six is just getting back, like continuing to
- 57:46Speaker 6: find ways to like spark that fire and communicate with
- 57:49Speaker 6: our audience a lot more. Like I get in the
- 57:50Speaker 6: comments all the time, and I'll see if people are
- 57:53Speaker 6: watching on YouTube right now the Bojangles ad. I see
- 57:57Speaker 6: the Bojangle stuff come up constantly, and it makes me too. Obviously,
- 58:00Speaker 6: once you get to the point at the end of
- 58:01Speaker 6: the year where you get to kind of evaluate where
- 58:03Speaker 6: everything's at, things that we want to look for in
- 58:05Speaker 6: the future. Uh, the bo Jangles ad is like, you know,
- 58:07Speaker 6: we did something for bo Jangles and that comes from YouTube.
- 58:10Speaker 6: But seeing that the whole I'll just see people say,
- 58:13Speaker 6: eyes on me. Here it is again. But yeah, just
- 58:17Speaker 6: like embracing your audience, like talking to your audience constantly
- 58:20Speaker 6: all the time. That's a that's a big piece of
- 58:22Speaker 6: advice we got when we first stood up Busting with
- 58:24Speaker 6: the boys.
- 58:25Speaker 5: Yeah, the brand account commenting back with all the comments
- 58:28Speaker 5: taking place on the YouTube channels to put out that
- 58:30Speaker 5: was like a big thing we did in the beginning.
- 58:32Speaker 5: He's kind of falling away a little bit. Making these
- 58:35Speaker 5: fans feel like they're a part of it is one
- 58:36Speaker 5: of the more important things.
- 58:37Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 58:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I try to go through and like like some comments,
- 58:41Speaker 3: but I think getting back in there it's like always
- 58:45Speaker 3: good for like building audience and stuff like that.
- 58:49Speaker 5: Mm what I thought. There's more. Another tear talk is
- 58:57Speaker 5: Justin at Justin Is that an underscore chef chef cheft twelve.
- 59:03Speaker 5: I started tear talking at bus with the boys. I
- 59:05Speaker 5: live in North Jersey and came across this absolutely diabolical
- 59:07Speaker 5: sale on Jets versus Giants merchandise at Walmart. Thoughts on
- 59:11Speaker 5: who deserves the higher priced merchandise? Yeah, and on clearance too,
- 59:18Speaker 5: which is wild. But I do believe if you were
- 59:21Speaker 5: going to market merchandise and put them all in order,
- 59:24Speaker 5: this would probably be a good distance between the New
- 59:26Speaker 5: York Giants and the and the Jets.
- 59:28Speaker 6: Now yeah, four dollars, yeah, four dollars difference. Not a
- 59:30Speaker 6: huge gap, but still a gap nonetheless.
- 59:33Speaker 5: And we're looking at a team and the Jets that
- 59:35Speaker 5: didn't have an interception in the entire year.
- 59:37Speaker 6: There's nothing when you think about the Jets, there's nothing
- 59:40Speaker 6: that stands out. Yeah, other than Aaron Glenn having another
- 59:43Speaker 6: press rice with the Giants. You have Jackson dar, you
- 59:46Speaker 6: have Cam Skataboo Molague neighbors. You have some things, Yeah,
- 59:50Speaker 6: there's some there's some thoughts of excitement that could run
- 59:53Speaker 6: through your body.
- 59:54Speaker 5: Yeah, it is.
- 59:54Speaker 6: Looking at twenty twenty six when you.
- 59:55Speaker 5: Think Jets, you think, man, isn't it crazy that Sauce
- 59:58Speaker 5: garnerment one and seven with the Jets to the Colts
- 1:00:01Speaker 5: and now the conversers now in the Colts and he
- 1:00:02Speaker 5: went one and seven there. That's as far as your
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: Jets conversation goes. And then the interception thing, which what
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: was that that bet that took place?
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: So it's not it it didn't take place, but it
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: just kind of like wanted.
- 1:00:13Speaker 6: If you would have this is your outcome.
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: You put on every single game for the Jets not
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: to have an interception, and you rolled over your winnings
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: every single week for the entire year, you would have
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: ended up. I think the final pot was five point
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: seven million.
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: Dollars if anybody bet on that the Jets would have
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: had multiple interceptions this year. That's just how the game works, man,
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: That's just how the game works. Another teer doc we
- 1:00:39Speaker 5: have from a Harvey fent at Nick Berger's Two's Ease
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: Hashi Tear Talk thoughts on South Carolina retaining sellers Dylan
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: Stewart and Nick Harbor for next season. Also gonna need
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: at Jay Hovey thirty four for this one. Clearly started
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: looking at him as I was reading this, Oh how we.
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: Feel MASSI him to keep them all, especially with the
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: D line coach going to LSU. Apparently he called coach
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: Beamer at eleven pm one night and said, hey, I
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: got this offer, and then he was gone the next
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: day at nine am. So not a lot of time
- 1:01:14Speaker 4: for Beemer to find a D line coach. Make sure
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: you keep recruits, make sure you keep guys like Dylan Stewart.
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: But he did amazing. He brought in the Penn State
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: D line coach, got a great running back coach. But
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: similar to Will, this is a day by day year
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: we got. We have a massive portal season coming. We
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: had almost every single line O lineman leave in the
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: transfer portal. Best wishes to them, but that's a position
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: group we needed to improve on. So I hope to
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: have a nice trip wherever they're going to and I'm excited,
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: but it's day by day. We got a lot of things,
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: We got a lot of pieces we need to pick up.
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: We got a lot, a lot of guys that need
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: to step up. But I'm fired up. I'm ready for
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: next season already.
- 1:01:57Speaker 8: God on this one, I think they're asking about streaming.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: This would be our last.
- 1:02:05Speaker 6: One from in Malta twenty one on Instagram hashtag tear talk.
- 1:02:10Speaker 6: Will Taylor give us GTA six when the game drops
- 1:02:13Speaker 6: later this year?
- 1:02:14Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't see why not. We gotta definitely die
- 1:02:17Speaker 5: Amon been doing it if it comes this Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: I haven't played GTA six since I like this is
- 1:02:24Speaker 5: like the third one, but would be love to jump
- 1:02:26Speaker 5: into some Rockstar games once again.
- 1:02:29Speaker 6: So I'm sure the storyline is going to be insane cinematic.
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: The file size for the game itself is like six
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: hundred and fifty gigs, which I perfect could be like
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: the biggest game of all time?
- 1:02:42Speaker 5: Isn't it all like Miami the actual city itself, like
- 1:02:46Speaker 5: perfectly done. That's kind of badass, man, They got something
- 1:02:50Speaker 5: going over there?
- 1:02:50Speaker 7: Does stream of the story? Mad would go crazy?
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: That'd be fun.
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: Yeah, something to think about. Maybe one of the boys
- 1:02:58Speaker 5: want to do that.
- 1:02:59Speaker 7: It would only take nine months.
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: Will and Matt could start the twenty four hours.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: Yeah, at least.
- 1:03:08Speaker 5: What do you guys doing that.
- 1:03:11Speaker 6: We don't have a dated, don't have.
- 1:03:12Speaker 5: A date yet. Stay tuned, Stay tuned to the twenty
- 1:03:14Speaker 5: four hour stream with Matt Malone and will compon. That'll
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: be exciting.
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: We gotta stay on him. I know they're trying to
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: kick the cane down the road.
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: No doubt, no doubt. That's why you get asked right here,
- 1:03:23Speaker 5: right now.
- 1:03:23Speaker 6: No matter what, it'll have to be coordinated with wifey.
- 1:03:26Speaker 6: So we got to figure out what it is. Yeah,
- 1:03:30Speaker 6: like all we have right now is twenty four hour stream.
- 1:03:33Speaker 5: Yeah, I think you guys need to figure out a date.
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: We'll handle the rest. Yeah, we'll have we'll have a
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: private brainstorm. That's the other Fantasy league and uh yeah,
- 1:03:41Speaker 5: we'll handle business.
- 1:03:42Speaker 6: I'll see when everybody's out of town, right, okay, all
- 1:03:46Speaker 6: right onward, you want to get into uh oh, new partner,
- 1:03:50Speaker 6: new partner, Kevin's Natural Foods just coming on big with
- 1:03:53Speaker 6: the boys in twenty twenty six, and we will we
- 1:03:55Speaker 6: will be doing a Kevin's Natural Food clean take out
- 1:04:00Speaker 6: the entire year. On every episode we will be giving
- 1:04:02Speaker 6: a clean take and that can be about anything, doesn't
- 1:04:04Speaker 6: have to be about food. Just to spark some conversation.
- 1:04:07Speaker 6: Just a good old fashioned clean take by Kevin's Natral Foods.
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: The cleanest food on the planet. What they got paleo
- 1:04:14Speaker 6: packed with protein, no bad chemicals, right.
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: Gluten free, easy to assemble. It's one of those things
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: like JP was talking about, like instead of ordering food
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: and get going to pick it up, why not just
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: take five minutes make it you had a healthy meal.
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: We were still staying with your twenty twenty six goals, right,
- 1:04:30Speaker 5: that's the kind of thing Kevin's Natral Foods is given
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: to you guys.
- 1:04:33Speaker 6: Right, So if you do have big resolutions and you
- 1:04:35Speaker 6: want to eat clean, a great way to do that
- 1:04:37Speaker 6: is with Kevin's Natral Foods because again they're in stores nationwide.
- 1:04:42Speaker 6: I'm a massive fan of the orange chicken in the
- 1:04:44Speaker 6: Korean Beef barbecue, the Korean Barbecue, beef cream, the.
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: Garlic chicken for me that I really enjoyed because you know,
- 1:04:50Speaker 5: your boy, doubt, It's really all I have right now
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: is gotta stay clean. An ingredient you gotta stay clean
- 1:04:54Speaker 5: twenty four. So it's all about the peurine. For me,
- 1:04:56Speaker 5: It's all about the peerane clean She.
- 1:04:59Speaker 6: Take a natural clean take a natural clean take. Let's
- 1:05:08Speaker 6: keep it clean, clean, easy. I would say, my clean take,
- 1:05:14Speaker 6: I love the four teams left in the College Football
- 1:05:17Speaker 6: Playoff and I feel like I love something about each team, right.
- 1:05:22Speaker 6: They all have a story arc that I could root
- 1:05:24Speaker 6: for at the end of the year and have a
- 1:05:25Speaker 6: smile on my face happy that this team won the
- 1:05:28Speaker 6: national title.
- 1:05:29Speaker 5: Wow, my clean take, it's a good clean take.
- 1:05:33Speaker 6: I'll stay in.
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: I'll stay in the college Football Playoff front. Something about
- 1:05:39Speaker 5: Kurt signetti Man and what he's been able to accomplish
- 1:05:41Speaker 5: in Indiana maybe the greatest turnaround in college football history,
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: clearly elevating himself into like if they pull it off
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: this year, he might already be in that goat conversation
- 1:05:54Speaker 5: like somebody go from JMU flip it around like this,
- 1:05:56Speaker 5: And even when you're watching the portal he's while prep
- 1:06:00Speaker 5: for Oregon, he is signing guys over and over, hosting
- 1:06:03Speaker 5: cats like the dude's not getting a whole lot of sleep,
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: and you watch them. They are clearly the most well
- 1:06:10Speaker 5: coached team in all of college football by far and away,
- 1:06:15Speaker 5: clean clean take.
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: Mitch the finale, If Stranger Things sucked.
- 1:06:22Speaker 6: That's that's a bad take.
- 1:06:23Speaker 7: That that's a bad take.
- 1:06:26Speaker 6: That's a bad take.
- 1:06:27Speaker 7: It's a season five wasn't as good as the rest
- 1:06:30Speaker 7: of them. But what show besides breaking bad? Has the
- 1:06:33Speaker 7: final season be the best? That's a wholesome feeling about
- 1:06:39Speaker 7: the final that's not clean.
- 1:06:40Speaker 6: That's not clean. It's an unclean take. That's honestly one
- 1:06:43Speaker 6: where Mitch might be suspended for the next month.
- 1:06:45Speaker 5: We're sitting here talking about eating clean, doing what's right
- 1:06:48Speaker 5: for our body with Kevin's at your foods and and
- 1:06:50Speaker 5: Mitch's out here getting fast food. As what I'm hearing
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: right now, hang.
- 1:06:57Speaker 6: On, well, why why did you not like the Stranger Things?
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: For now?
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: The people haven't seen it. I don't want to ruin
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: it for anybody who hasn't.
- 1:07:06Speaker 6: For g well, we gotta it's it's open. I mean,
- 1:07:09Speaker 6: we got to talk about it because if.
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: You're there, the amount of like excitement that was getting
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: built up to it, like there's for no one. Do
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: you care if I say like I don't want I'm
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: trying to like creep around it.
- 1:07:24Speaker 6: He's trying to creep. He's trying to think right.
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: Now, for no one to die is the craziest thing
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: of all time, Like I I wanted somebody to die.
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: Well I don't really care who it was, but like
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: that just makes like a good like it kind of
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: just like damn, like you you would have been pissed
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: either way. But it's like, come on, like you're you're
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: telling me, we've been fighting the mind Flair for five
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: seven years and nobody died other than like no, and
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: nobody big character died. Like what are we doing here? Yeah,
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: that's the bit like the bad guy, the bad Guy's
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: gonna die, Like that's just how it is. Yeah, exactly,
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: that's exactly what I want.
- 1:08:07Speaker 6: And that made you hate the finale because by the
- 1:08:11Speaker 6: time you're watching the finale, you already have your head
- 1:08:13Speaker 6: wrapped around They're not killing off characters like it's Game
- 1:08:16Speaker 6: of Thrones, no, so you already understand that going into
- 1:08:18Speaker 6: the finale. So I didn't know what you didn't like
- 1:08:20Speaker 6: about the finale.
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: I didn't like how the fight scene between like them
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: and I guess just the mind Flare was extremely like
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: it it was built up like, oh my god, this
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: is in another dimension. This is like, this is a
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: fight that's gonna take a long time, and it took
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: the will coming out as gay was longer than the
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: fight scene.
- 1:08:43Speaker 6: Oh, he saw the meme, he saw the meme going.
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: Around, But look at this thing, that thing, like you're
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: telling me it's gonna take five minutes to destroy this
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: thing like that thing that is something that like the
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: Avengers will take twenty minutes to defeat. So does l.
- 1:09:02Speaker 8: A power of friendship?
- 1:09:03Speaker 9: Man?
- 1:09:04Speaker 6: It all let up to this, So how'd you see
- 1:09:08Speaker 6: it going down?
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: I thought, like they get like, damn, they got one of.
- 1:09:14Speaker 6: Our Like to me, you're telling me about a couple
- 1:09:16Speaker 6: of holes in the season finale, But to say that
- 1:09:18Speaker 6: it was a bad season finale, you're not.
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: I also didn't like how the like I guess you
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: could say the action per se of the finale was
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: done like an hour fifteen into it, and then you
- 1:09:30Speaker 3: still had like a whole nother hour.
- 1:09:31Speaker 6: I loved it.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: I wish like that.
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: I liked that part, but I feel like it could
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: have been a lot shorter, dude.
- 1:09:38Speaker 6: The nostalgia, the callbacks, the hour long sind offs with
- 1:09:44Speaker 6: each grouping character of Stranger things. I enjoyed watching the
- 1:09:47Speaker 6: finale because I didn't have these expectations like I did
- 1:09:51Speaker 6: with Game of Thrones. Are all these these.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: I think that's.
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: I had an expectation and I wanted it to be
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: so awesome because I love the show so much. I
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: was like, I think, my yeah, my expectations were set
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: to I don't get me wrong. At the end of it,
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: like the nostalgia's like fuck, Like now this show's over.
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: I'm never gonna be like there's no news.
- 1:10:09Speaker 6: The finale did a great job of reminding you that
- 1:10:11Speaker 6: we basically grew up with this series.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:10:13Speaker 6: I grew up from a standpoint of like we you know,
- 1:10:15Speaker 6: we what was it about a decade long of watching
- 1:10:17Speaker 6: this show, but like seeing these kids, seeing these actors
- 1:10:20Speaker 6: as like kids, watching them play what is it called
- 1:10:23Speaker 6: dungeons and dragons and having this you know, the three
- 1:10:27Speaker 6: layer universe and everything else. But the way they sent
- 1:10:29Speaker 6: everybody off and the way they took time to send
- 1:10:31Speaker 6: off each group in each character. I loved it in
- 1:10:34Speaker 6: all the little callbacks scenes where they're flashing back memories
- 1:10:36Speaker 6: seeing how far that they've gotten to have where the
- 1:10:39Speaker 6: relationships of you know, they're set off to do other
- 1:10:42Speaker 6: things and we all know as like older adults sitting
- 1:10:44Speaker 6: there when the friend group is sitting on the roof
- 1:10:47Speaker 6: in like a that seventies show style theme where they're
- 1:10:49Speaker 6: on top of the water tower talk about how they're
- 1:10:51Speaker 6: going to see each other once a month and do
- 1:10:52Speaker 6: this and that, and every adult who's sitting there watching
- 1:10:54Speaker 6: is like, this is how it all starts. They all
- 1:10:55Speaker 6: think they're going to see each other once a month.
- 1:10:57Speaker 6: Just that relatability factor from that scene, and again all
- 1:11:01Speaker 6: of the callbacks that they did, I thought stranger things.
- 1:11:03Speaker 6: I thought it was a good I thought it was
- 1:11:05Speaker 6: a very good season finale because I didn't have the
- 1:11:08Speaker 6: expectation that it was gonna be some insane plot twist. Now,
- 1:11:12Speaker 6: when Hopper sits there and he gets to his mind
- 1:11:15Speaker 6: and he ends up pulling the trigger, that was a
- 1:11:18Speaker 6: nice plot twist. Yeah, But to think that you're gonna
- 1:11:20Speaker 6: have some two hour long battle against this massive Transformer
- 1:11:25Speaker 6: looking creature, the Spider, the mind flare, we never even
- 1:11:30Speaker 6: really saw that character versus glimpses throughout the entire series.
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: My expectation was too high, and I wanted more action
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: with it. I feel like they.
- 1:11:39Speaker 6: Dude, they they she sat there and took an axe
- 1:11:41Speaker 6: to his head. Ten different times. We saw Elle sit
- 1:11:46Speaker 6: there and pull the dude's gun to his face and
- 1:11:48Speaker 6: pull the trigger on it. Like the violence we got
- 1:11:51Speaker 6: to see with it, also being like this, you know,
- 1:11:53Speaker 6: do kids watch the show? Do they not watch the show?
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: I'm with you, but I wanted it to be was
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: hoping it was going to be more and I was
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: let down. That's just my opinion.
- 1:12:06Speaker 6: What's a bad one.
- 1:12:10Speaker 10: I have an ironic clean take that plays off of this.
- 1:12:14Speaker 10: This weekend, my wife and I finished Severance. So my
- 1:12:17Speaker 10: clean take was gonna be a TV show finale that
- 1:12:20Speaker 10: just got you feeling some type of way and feeling
- 1:12:23Speaker 10: real emotion as it ends. And the end of Severance
- 1:12:27Speaker 10: was probably the first time since like Dexter season four.
- 1:12:30Speaker 10: I don't know if anyone's ever watched Dexter season four,
- 1:12:33Speaker 10: the Trinity Killer, that was probably the first time I
- 1:12:35Speaker 10: was like, I felt real emotion as an episode ended,
- 1:12:38Speaker 10: and my wife it was like one in the morning
- 1:12:39Speaker 10: and we're just looking at each other.
- 1:12:41Speaker 6: No fucking way that that just happened, and it was.
- 1:12:46Speaker 6: It was truly.
- 1:12:48Speaker 7: Don't get me start crazy, but.
- 1:12:51Speaker 6: That is that is my clean take.
- 1:12:52Speaker 10: A TV show that has a great finale that actually
- 1:12:55Speaker 10: makes you feel emotion that you want to see the
- 1:12:57Speaker 10: next season and you feel anger, happiness, sadness, whatever it is,
- 1:13:01Speaker 10: but severance.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:13:03Speaker 10: I'm glad we pushed through the first few episodes. Great show,
- 1:13:07Speaker 10: Great show, mister milcheck that actor.
- 1:13:09Speaker 6: He is.
- 1:13:12Speaker 10: Fan fantastic buck.
- 1:13:17Speaker 6: I know you got some of the tank on the
- 1:13:18Speaker 6: stranger thinks Finelle.
- 1:13:20Speaker 8: I enjoyed it.
- 1:13:20Speaker 7: I didn't have too much expectation because of the way
- 1:13:23Speaker 7: season five was already trending. It wasn't living up to
- 1:13:27Speaker 7: how I felt during season four, season one or two.
- 1:13:31Speaker 7: The show needed to come to an end. I think
- 1:13:33Speaker 7: the kids have gotten too old. They're probably sick of
- 1:13:35Speaker 7: working with each other. I know some of them are.
- 1:13:38Speaker 7: It's very weird that Millie Bobby Brown h Shannon pointed
- 1:13:42Speaker 7: this out to me. She has so much botox in
- 1:13:45Speaker 7: her face that her emotion she has none because her
- 1:13:48Speaker 7: face is literally stuck like like a cement wall. That
- 1:13:51Speaker 7: kind of bugged me once, I like it was pointed
- 1:13:53Speaker 7: out to me. But I for even with all of
- 1:13:55Speaker 7: that being said, I still thought season five checked every
- 1:13:58Speaker 7: box I wanted to and had a good ending. I
- 1:14:01Speaker 7: love the wholesome moment between the four older guys or
- 1:14:04Speaker 7: the two girls two boys. They're on the roof of
- 1:14:06Speaker 7: the radio tower, just like we got to come meet
- 1:14:08Speaker 7: back every year, like they're playing D and D. They
- 1:14:11Speaker 7: get they finally get invited to a high school party
- 1:14:13Speaker 7: at the end, and like what's his name? Dustin gives
- 1:14:17Speaker 7: like the speech that I saw this on Twitter, calls
- 1:14:19Speaker 7: back to Eddie, to Eddie what he said he was
- 1:14:21Speaker 7: gonna do if you graduated. I thought there were so
- 1:14:23Speaker 7: many like cool moments that fully like encapsulates the show.
- 1:14:27Speaker 7: It brings back storylines and closes them out. Like I
- 1:14:32Speaker 7: get that that monster seam probably wasn't as long, but
- 1:14:36Speaker 7: I mean.
- 1:14:36Speaker 6: Like, are we assuming that they're able to climb the
- 1:14:38Speaker 6: mountain within five minutes to battle the They like, no,
- 1:14:44Speaker 6: that's not.
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: That's not necessarily what I'm getting at. It's like this
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: is the final final battle, Like this is gonna take
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: a while, and like that's what I if I think
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: if that if that final battle was like three minutes longer,
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: I would have been like hell yeah, because I agree
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: with you with all the nostalgia and everything and like
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: the throwbacks.
- 1:15:05Speaker 6: And you get to see some backstory from Henry, like
- 1:15:08Speaker 6: you actually see his human element come to life. Yeah,
- 1:15:10Speaker 6: and he just chose No, I'm choosing this route. Nobody's
- 1:15:14Speaker 6: out here to save me or bring me back to
- 1:15:16Speaker 6: the light side or anything else. He's like me and
- 1:15:18Speaker 6: this mind flare, like we are one, and he kind
- 1:15:21Speaker 6: of chose his route.
- 1:15:23Speaker 8: The part that I found interesting is everything that Game
- 1:15:26Speaker 8: of Thrones sees or series finale was getting hit with.
- 1:15:30Speaker 8: Why it wasn't successful was everything that Stranger Things did
- 1:15:34Speaker 8: a great job of and they still got flak.
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: So with.
- 1:15:39Speaker 8: Yeah, Game of Thrones, it's like, oh, they skip through
- 1:15:42Speaker 8: everything and they just they buttoned it up. They buttoned
- 1:15:44Speaker 8: it up, and then Stranger Things like delves into their
- 1:15:47Speaker 8: characters for a hot hour and a half and puts
- 1:15:50Speaker 8: a bow on every single storyline and then people are
- 1:15:53Speaker 8: like fuck that, Like can you win?
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: I don't know now.
- 1:15:59Speaker 7: The second or the finale was two hours and six minutes,
- 1:16:01Speaker 7: I think, or two of four minutes. The It also
- 1:16:04Speaker 7: was announced today the Duffer brothers who created Stranger Things
- 1:16:06Speaker 7: are now already working on the next adaptation of Stranger Things.
- 1:16:11Speaker 7: It will not include any of the characters, nothing about
- 1:16:14Speaker 7: the upside down. The mind flair. Henry the only element
- 1:16:18Speaker 7: that is continuing on and I had to look it up,
- 1:16:21Speaker 7: but it's the flashback of Henry when he's a kid
- 1:16:24Speaker 7: in that cave. It's this rock that he's holding, right
- 1:16:28Speaker 7: that is apparently the only thing that's transferring to the
- 1:16:30Speaker 7: next adaptation of it. So I'll definitely watch whatever they
- 1:16:34Speaker 7: put out of Stranger Things because it holds a special place.
- 1:16:36Speaker 5: In my heart.
- 1:16:36Speaker 7: But I will never have the hope that there will
- 1:16:41Speaker 7: be something better in the Stranger Things universe and what
- 1:16:43Speaker 7: we've already received. And that's okay with me.
- 1:16:46Speaker 6: Yeah, Yeah, clean, clean take, Jack, that was a clean take,
- 1:16:55Speaker 6: self posted suspension.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:16:59Speaker 5: Listen, man, boys feel good.

- 1:18:00Speaker 1: How are you good?
- 1:18:01Speaker 5: How you guys doing outstanding? First off, Michigan alum, Very excited,
- 1:18:06Speaker 5: very excited that you're in the amazing balloon. Now are
- 1:18:09Speaker 5: we rolling? Mitchie boy, we're rolling at this very moment.
- 1:18:11Speaker 5: Our guest today is Kyle Whittingham. Had a one hundred
- 1:18:14Speaker 5: and seventy seven and eighty eight record at UTAH, spent
- 1:18:17Speaker 5: three decades at Utah, turned something into an absolute powerhouse
- 1:18:22Speaker 5: where Electro set to have him on the bus and
- 1:18:24Speaker 5: the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines. Kyle Whittingham las gentleman,
- 1:18:27Speaker 5: big about of the class for him, massive as you
- 1:18:30Speaker 5: were as you were popping on the zoom. I was
- 1:18:33Speaker 5: looking at your one of the interviews you did earlier
- 1:18:36Speaker 5: saying that things are looking good with Bryce Underwood and
- 1:18:39Speaker 5: that we should be geting announcement here pretty soon.
- 1:18:41Speaker 6: Is that correct?
- 1:18:42Speaker 11: We sure hope. So yeah, we'll find out. But I
- 1:18:45Speaker 11: think we're trending in the right direction. How is famous
- 1:18:48Speaker 11: last words there?
- 1:18:49Speaker 5: Yeah? Yeah? You never want you get to wait till
- 1:18:51Speaker 5: everything signed, right once you get pen on paper. How
- 1:18:55Speaker 5: has this process been for you? You always spent like your
- 1:18:58Speaker 5: entire life, it seems like in Utah. Well, you come
- 1:19:00Speaker 5: to ann Arbor, you have the logo of the block.
- 1:19:02Speaker 5: Am you're coming? After all this crazy stuff takes place
- 1:19:05Speaker 5: with the last head coach. You're trying to retain guys
- 1:19:08Speaker 5: while getting your coaching staff, and then the transfer portal opens.
- 1:19:11Speaker 5: What is your day to day looking like right now?
- 1:19:13Speaker 11: Right now, we're drinking from a fire hose here, you know,
- 1:19:15Speaker 11: we're just getting our feet on the ground. Talking about
- 1:19:19Speaker 11: me and the staff, bright and mostly a new staff.
- 1:19:22Speaker 11: We had three coaches that we held over from the
- 1:19:24Speaker 11: previous staff. Outstanding football coaches. Thought that was the thing
- 1:19:27Speaker 11: to do. They helped bridge the gap between the old
- 1:19:30Speaker 11: and the new. But We're just trying to do what
- 1:19:33Speaker 11: everyone else in the country is doing right now, and
- 1:19:35Speaker 11: that's recruit your own roster and make sure you're doing
- 1:19:37Speaker 11: your best job of retention. And really, in college football now,
- 1:19:41Speaker 11: you've got to recruit your entire football team every single
- 1:19:44Speaker 11: year to you got to try to retain the guys
- 1:19:47Speaker 11: you already got on the team. You got to go
- 1:19:48Speaker 11: to the portal, bring in some new pieces there, and
- 1:19:51Speaker 11: you got to recruit your freshman class. And so it's
- 1:19:53Speaker 11: a it's a twenty four to seven recruiting job, especially
- 1:19:56Speaker 11: this time of the year with the portal open. The
- 1:19:59Speaker 11: portal is flooded with players. We got close to five
- 1:20:01Speaker 11: thousand players in the portal right now, and so it's
- 1:20:04Speaker 11: it's it's chaos, but you just try to have organized
- 1:20:07Speaker 11: chaos as best you can.
- 1:20:08Speaker 6: Coach you obviously, you love to ride motorcycles, you love
- 1:20:11Speaker 6: to lift weights. You've been around the game for a
- 1:20:14Speaker 6: very long time. You just mentioned that there's five thousand
- 1:20:16Speaker 6: guys in the portal and coaching stats in college football
- 1:20:19Speaker 6: have to kind of recruit their roster all year round.
- 1:20:21Speaker 6: It's not like it's married to a schedule like the
- 1:20:23Speaker 6: NFL or anything else. So I just want to ask bluntly,
- 1:20:26Speaker 6: how much of it is a pain in the ass
- 1:20:27Speaker 6: for you at times?
- 1:20:29Speaker 11: Well, that is very blind, it's challenging, I'll use that word.
- 1:20:35Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, true professional.
- 1:20:37Speaker 11: One thing it's not is it's not sustainable. Something's got
- 1:20:40Speaker 11: to change.
- 1:20:41Speaker 6: You know.
- 1:20:41Speaker 11: The prices are going crazy. Heard today that a quarterback
- 1:20:44Speaker 11: has got an off on the table for five million dollars.
- 1:20:47Speaker 11: You know for next season. There's plenty of schools with
- 1:20:52Speaker 11: roster budgets upwards of forty million dollars and it's just
- 1:20:57Speaker 11: and one thing here at Michigan that is a little
- 1:21:01Speaker 11: bit challenging for us right now is until this year,
- 1:21:04Speaker 11: there was two portal windows, which means you had a
- 1:21:07Speaker 11: little safety net. After spring ball you could you can,
- 1:21:10Speaker 11: for example, our situation, stick around for spring get used
- 1:21:13Speaker 11: to the new coaching staff, see how you like them,
- 1:21:15Speaker 11: to see how things go, and if you don't like it,
- 1:21:17Speaker 11: you got it out after spring ball because you can
- 1:21:19Speaker 11: jump in the portal again. Now there's a one portal
- 1:21:22Speaker 11: system where they feel like they got a gun to
- 1:21:24Speaker 11: their head and they got to make a decision right
- 1:21:25Speaker 11: now before they even really have a chance to gather
- 1:21:28Speaker 11: enough information to find out what you know, what we're
- 1:21:30Speaker 11: all about here, you know, with our new staff. So
- 1:21:32Speaker 11: so that makes it even more challenging.
- 1:21:34Speaker 5: When you're looking at this portal, this process. What has
- 1:21:39Speaker 5: been the biggest difference for you from being at Michigan
- 1:21:42Speaker 5: with the resources versus being at Utah.
- 1:21:45Speaker 11: Not much difference at all. It's just on a grander
- 1:21:46Speaker 11: scale here. I mean, we got you've got more resources,
- 1:21:49Speaker 11: a huge tradition here at Michigan, more far more foreign
- 1:21:54Speaker 11: five star players on the roster. So everything's you know,
- 1:21:58Speaker 11: the mechanics of it all is the same, everything's just enhanced.
- 1:22:02Speaker 6: I was gonna ask, like on the recruiting stuff, like
- 1:22:06Speaker 6: as somebody like yourself who understands what delayed success looks
- 1:22:10Speaker 6: like in the grind and the process and everything else,
- 1:22:14Speaker 6: how I guess frustrating, maybe difficult too, Yeah, oh yeah,
- 1:22:20Speaker 6: I guess pain in the ass, But just like you
- 1:22:22Speaker 6: knowing what it takes in life to get to where
- 1:22:26Speaker 6: you are and knowing that it's always a one by
- 1:22:28Speaker 6: year thing. It feels like with college now I'm seeing
- 1:22:30Speaker 6: that there's two year deals getting signed, but just knowing
- 1:22:33Speaker 6: that you have kids for one year at a time,
- 1:22:35Speaker 6: and then when you have kids that you like and enjoy,
- 1:22:37Speaker 6: and you're like, hey, they're looking for greener grass, but
- 1:22:40Speaker 6: also you know in your heart that the green grass
- 1:22:43Speaker 6: could be right here if they just go through the
- 1:22:45Speaker 6: suck a little bit longer, because they might not be
- 1:22:47Speaker 6: getting what they want immediately. How is your philosophy? I
- 1:22:52Speaker 6: guess changed over time, going from having guys for four
- 1:22:54Speaker 6: or five years to trying to implement what you believe
- 1:22:57Speaker 6: in culture wise with kids that are here a year
- 1:23:00Speaker 6: at a time. Now, because five thousand is crazy.
- 1:23:03Speaker 11: Yeah, it's more difficult to maintain your culture. It's more challenging.
- 1:23:06Speaker 11: It's you know, where you used to have one hundred
- 1:23:09Speaker 11: and twenty kids on your roster, twenty or twenty five
- 1:23:11Speaker 11: would you know, graduate or leave and you'd replace them
- 1:23:13Speaker 11: with twenty or twenty five. Now most schools are bringing
- 1:23:17Speaker 11: in You've got half a new team that is different
- 1:23:20Speaker 11: from the previous year, and so it's more challenging for
- 1:23:24Speaker 11: your players that are returning to you know, get the
- 1:23:28Speaker 11: new guys up to speed and I help them understand
- 1:23:30Speaker 11: what the standard is, what the culture is, and you know,
- 1:23:33Speaker 11: we had a model at Utah for years. The incoming
- 1:23:37Speaker 11: guys you will become us, we will not become you.
- 1:23:39Speaker 11: And that's become a more challenging every year because you
- 1:23:41Speaker 11: don't have as many of the of the returners to
- 1:23:44Speaker 11: help you with that process. But but you still, I mean,
- 1:23:47Speaker 11: that's what you're working towards is trying to get the
- 1:23:49Speaker 11: everyone to buy into your culture, everyone to buy into
- 1:23:51Speaker 11: your philosophies. And you know, I think we have done
- 1:23:55Speaker 11: a really good job. They did a really good job
- 1:23:57Speaker 11: here at Michigan prior of recruiting really high care kids.
- 1:24:00Speaker 11: I had a chance to meet with every one of
- 1:24:02Speaker 11: them down at the bull site last week individually. It
- 1:24:04Speaker 11: took me about twenty hours to get through the entire team.
- 1:24:07Speaker 11: But that was the common threat is there were guys
- 1:24:09Speaker 11: that are high character, that cared about academics. They were
- 1:24:12Speaker 11: tuned into their academics. They all knew exactly when their
- 1:24:15Speaker 11: graduation date was, what their GPA was, what they wanted
- 1:24:18Speaker 11: to do with their major. It was really refreshing to
- 1:24:20Speaker 11: have conversations where every kid literally was tuned into that.
- 1:24:25Speaker 5: Yeah, the academics that I remember when I got to Michigan,
- 1:24:27Speaker 5: Hey what do you want to do? And I was like,
- 1:24:28Speaker 5: I want to go to the NFL insert general studies.
- 1:24:31Speaker 5: I don't think they offer that anymore at the University
- 1:24:33Speaker 5: of Michigan, but it's great that to see these kids
- 1:24:35Speaker 5: are taking a serious focus on their academics. For you,
- 1:24:38Speaker 5: and this is more of a color thing. Right When
- 1:24:40Speaker 5: I was at Michigan, it was you walk in the
- 1:24:42Speaker 5: building with even a piece of red, could be even
- 1:24:44Speaker 5: your socks. You're getting in big trouble. You're catching at
- 1:24:47Speaker 5: six am, where you're pushing plates down the field and
- 1:24:49Speaker 5: doing roles. You've been at a school where it's your
- 1:24:52Speaker 5: one of your primary colors is red, play against a
- 1:24:54Speaker 5: school that's blue. How has that transition been for you
- 1:24:57Speaker 5: from a psychological standpoint?
- 1:24:59Speaker 11: Yeah, it's it's challenging as well. And uh, but I'm
- 1:25:03Speaker 11: getting used to it. And I certainly understand the rivalry.
- 1:25:05Speaker 11: I mean, don't get me wrong, I understand the intensity,
- 1:25:07Speaker 11: the magnitude, But the color situation has been a little
- 1:25:10Speaker 11: bit of a you know, a tough deal because you know,
- 1:25:14Speaker 11: to say, go blue where I came from, that's unheard of.
- 1:25:18Speaker 11: That's our mantra. Now go blue. And I'm getting comfortable
- 1:25:21Speaker 11: with that. But but I haven't I haven't worn any
- 1:25:24Speaker 11: red or made any of those major faux paus yet,
- 1:25:26Speaker 11: and I hope I can continue that.
- 1:25:28Speaker 5: Keep the keep it going as much as possible. And
- 1:25:30Speaker 5: also with the with the hot state. And during your
- 1:25:32Speaker 5: introductory press conference, people ask you bluntly, hey, do you
- 1:25:35Speaker 5: hate Ohio State? And you hit them with I guess
- 1:25:38Speaker 5: I do. Now?
- 1:25:39Speaker 6: How much?
- 1:25:40Speaker 5: How much should have you gotten for that?
- 1:25:43Speaker 11: I believe, you know what? Maybe a ton I don't
- 1:25:45Speaker 11: know because I don't get on the internet. I love that,
- 1:25:48Speaker 11: don't follow social media at all. Maybe a fault of mine,
- 1:25:51Speaker 11: and maybe I should be more tuned in, But I
- 1:25:54Speaker 11: don't really have much of an appetite for that stuff
- 1:25:57Speaker 11: or worry about what other people think. I just, you know,
- 1:25:59Speaker 11: just got to put the best product on the field
- 1:26:00Speaker 11: for Michigan and put a team out there that these
- 1:26:02Speaker 11: guys can be proud of.
- 1:26:03Speaker 6: Here were where were you at? Mentally? Like when you
- 1:26:06Speaker 6: were you were retiring and maybe there's some retiring stepping down,
- 1:26:11Speaker 6: stepping here he was hitting the transfer portal his words, Okay,
- 1:26:14Speaker 6: stepping down, Okay, okay, So you were when you were
- 1:26:16Speaker 6: stepping down, you were always on the look for what
- 1:26:18Speaker 6: the next thing might be for you.
- 1:26:20Speaker 11: Well, here's here's my deal. I had felt like I
- 1:26:23Speaker 11: had run my course at Utah. I had accomplished all
- 1:26:26Speaker 11: we could accomplish. There time for a new voice, new leadership,
- 1:26:29Speaker 11: and so I didn't want to be that guy that
- 1:26:31Speaker 11: they had to run out of town and say, you know,
- 1:26:33Speaker 11: when's this guy gonna leave? And you know, yea out
- 1:26:36Speaker 11: of here. And so so that was that was challenging
- 1:26:39Speaker 11: or not challenging. But the reason for stepping down. When
- 1:26:43Speaker 11: I did step down, you can count on one hand
- 1:26:45Speaker 11: the number of schools that I would have been interested
- 1:26:47Speaker 11: in had they called or contact me or reach out.
- 1:26:50Speaker 11: Michigan was on that list. Michigan. You know, when my
- 1:26:53Speaker 11: agent got together and when that started to materialize, I
- 1:26:57Speaker 11: was excited and fired up. I wouldn't have taken uh,
- 1:27:00Speaker 11: just any job by any means, Like I said, it
- 1:27:01Speaker 11: had to be a top five opportunity, and the stars
- 1:27:04Speaker 11: aligned and got the opportunity about seven to ten days
- 1:27:08Speaker 11: later after I stepped down at Utah and here I am.
- 1:27:12Speaker 11: So it's like a you know, it's kind of a
- 1:27:14Speaker 11: surreal experience. But but I couldn't be more excited. We've
- 1:27:17Speaker 11: put together an outstanding staff here. We're working our tails
- 1:27:21Speaker 11: off right now to try to you know, for retention
- 1:27:23Speaker 11: as we talked about and getting ready to get into
- 1:27:25Speaker 11: the winter conditioning here next week.
- 1:27:27Speaker 6: Let's go. I do want to ask my fill.
- 1:27:31Speaker 3: I.
- 1:27:31Speaker 6: You were at Utah for so long, so I'd imagine
- 1:27:34Speaker 6: you had opportunities throughout the course of being at Utah.
- 1:27:37Speaker 6: Was there is there a situation you look back on
- 1:27:39Speaker 6: to where maybe a few years after turning down said job,
- 1:27:42Speaker 6: that you're like, ah, I kind of regret not taking
- 1:27:46Speaker 6: this job, YadA, YadA, YadA. You kind of stay in
- 1:27:48Speaker 6: the process. Now you're in a spot to where you
- 1:27:50Speaker 6: set yourself up for the job that you want to
- 1:27:52Speaker 6: where you remind yourself that was the right call at
- 1:27:55Speaker 6: that time, that maybe in your previous life you'd be like, ah,
- 1:27:59Speaker 6: that was that was a ah I maybe should have left.
- 1:28:01Speaker 11: For absolutely not no regrets whatsoever. Completely enjoyed my time
- 1:28:07Speaker 11: and you taught. My kids were in the same school district,
- 1:28:09Speaker 11: the same school system for there, you know, K through twelve.
- 1:28:12Speaker 11: I mean, how often does a coach get to do that,
- 1:28:14Speaker 11: have his family have stability and not dragging him around
- 1:28:17Speaker 11: the country. And I was perfectly happy. I'm a ski nut.
- 1:28:21Speaker 11: That's another part of that I'm you know, skiing is
- 1:28:23Speaker 11: my passion, best snow on Earth, by the way, in
- 1:28:25Speaker 11: Salt Lake City. But but I have absolutely no second thoughts,
- 1:28:29Speaker 11: no no hindsight that, Hey, god, I wish it would have,
- 1:28:32Speaker 11: you know, jumped ship when I had the chance to
- 1:28:34Speaker 11: do that. As it turned out, wouldn't change a thing.
- 1:28:38Speaker 6: That's amazing. We had a good one back.
- 1:28:40Speaker 5: Going back to football scheme and everything like that. I'm
- 1:28:42Speaker 5: sure you've turned on some Michigan tape of the last
- 1:28:44Speaker 5: couple of years and you watch the offensive side of
- 1:28:47Speaker 5: the ball, very predictable, not a lot of shifts and
- 1:28:49Speaker 5: motions disguise of telling the defense you don't know what
- 1:28:52Speaker 5: we're gonna do. It's more like, hey, we're going to
- 1:28:53Speaker 5: run it down your throat, take some shots. When we can,
- 1:28:55Speaker 5: we get backed up third and long, we'll hit you
- 1:28:57Speaker 5: with a screen or a bubble. Now you're bringing in
- 1:28:59Speaker 5: a guy Jason Beck, who you pulled from New Mexico
- 1:29:01Speaker 5: the year prior and gave damp Peer a hell of
- 1:29:05Speaker 5: a year. You turn on the Utah film and it's
- 1:29:08Speaker 5: you can you have no idea what you guys are doing.
- 1:29:10Speaker 5: I think have the most personnel of any other school
- 1:29:14Speaker 5: in all of college football. What kind of development is
- 1:29:17Speaker 5: that going to be for Bryce? So, how is Jason
- 1:29:18Speaker 5: Beck going to elevate this team as you guys go
- 1:29:21Speaker 5: into this twenty twenty sixth season.
- 1:29:23Speaker 11: Good question. Jason came in and completely transformed our offense.
- 1:29:26Speaker 11: We ended up fifth in total low fourth and scoring
- 1:29:30Speaker 11: oh second and rushing oh and uh. You know, Jason
- 1:29:33Speaker 11: has a tremendous ability to maximize his personnel, get guys
- 1:29:37Speaker 11: in situations to succeed, create mismatches and conflict for the defense.
- 1:29:41Speaker 11: And yet at the same time, as complex as it is,
- 1:29:44Speaker 11: the learning curve is not high. I mean it's it's
- 1:29:47Speaker 11: a very simplistic offense to learn. Every player on the
- 1:29:50Speaker 11: field gets signaled his assignment and so. And that's got
- 1:29:52Speaker 11: to be the case these days, when you're having as
- 1:29:54Speaker 11: much turnover as you're having, you better have user friendly
- 1:29:56Speaker 11: systems on both sides of the ball, because you don't
- 1:29:59Speaker 11: no longer have the luxury of having a kid soaking
- 1:30:02Speaker 11: your system for a year, two or three before he's
- 1:30:04Speaker 11: ready to play so he can assimilate it. You be
- 1:30:07Speaker 11: able to have it something that they can learn right away.
- 1:30:10Speaker 11: And obviously, our guys at Utah picked his system up
- 1:30:13Speaker 11: right away, and we expect the same here at Michigan.
- 1:30:15Speaker 5: Now, I'll flip on the other side of the ball,
- 1:30:16Speaker 5: on the defensive side. Jay Hill, you pulled him from BYU.
- 1:30:20Speaker 5: He was a protege of yours back in the early
- 1:30:22Speaker 5: two thousands. What was that conversation like? Because very rarely,
- 1:30:26Speaker 5: and it's very funny because Cary Combs comes from Ohio
- 1:30:28Speaker 5: State to Michigan. Very rarely you'll be able to pull
- 1:30:30Speaker 5: a rival defensive coordinator who clearly had statistically a great
- 1:30:34Speaker 5: season for their team last year and pull them away
- 1:30:36Speaker 5: to head over to Michigan.
- 1:30:37Speaker 11: Yeah. Well, me and Jay have a great relationship. I
- 1:30:40Speaker 11: recruited Jay out of junior college to Utah. Myself and
- 1:30:43Speaker 11: coach Gary Anderson, who was on our staff, recruited Jay.
- 1:30:47Speaker 11: He was a tremendous player for US Susie finished playing,
- 1:30:50Speaker 11: wanted to get into coaching. We hired him as a
- 1:30:52Speaker 11: GA did a great job there as soon as I
- 1:30:55Speaker 11: became the head coach. The timing was such that when
- 1:30:57Speaker 11: Urban left and I got the job at Utah, Jay
- 1:31:00Speaker 11: had just finished his graduate assistant work, so we hired
- 1:31:03Speaker 11: him full time and did a phenomenal job for us
- 1:31:06Speaker 11: there at Utah many capacities. He coached tight ends, he
- 1:31:09Speaker 11: coached corners, he was a special teams coordinator, He did
- 1:31:12Speaker 11: a bunch of stuff for us. Had the opportunity to
- 1:31:14Speaker 11: become a head coach at Weaver State, so we took
- 1:31:16Speaker 11: off there, had a great run there, turned that program
- 1:31:18Speaker 11: around to BYU. I think he was there three years
- 1:31:22Speaker 11: and we had maintained a relationship during that whole time.
- 1:31:25Speaker 11: And when I got the call with my coordinator, Morgan
- 1:31:29Speaker 11: Scalley at Utah being elevated at the head coach, Jay
- 1:31:32Speaker 11: was the natural selection to bring aboard here at Michigan.
- 1:31:36Speaker 6: Dude, that is awesome. It's starting with a player coach
- 1:31:38Speaker 6: relationship and kind of you know, cutting his teeth into
- 1:31:42Speaker 6: the game under coach winning Ham and then going off
- 1:31:45Speaker 6: doing his own thing and then getting the call massive
- 1:31:47Speaker 6: job like Michigan like that. So that's a cool perspective moment. Yeah,
- 1:31:50Speaker 6: for coaching Jay.
- 1:31:52Speaker 5: And you see what I love. You're not big into
- 1:31:55Speaker 5: social media, but I've been just absolutely refreshing my Twitter
- 1:31:58Speaker 5: account every single moment, and my algorithm was turned into
- 1:32:01Speaker 5: Utah and BYU and watching that fun Hatred take place,
- 1:32:04Speaker 5: but you leave Utah and BYU fans are like, oh
- 1:32:07Speaker 5: you guys are done, You're cooked. We're gonna own you forever.
- 1:32:09Speaker 5: And then all of a sudden, Jay Hill is the
- 1:32:12Speaker 5: front runner for the DC and now all of a sudden,
- 1:32:14Speaker 5: Utah fans are piling on and it's a fun little
- 1:32:16Speaker 5: back and forth while Utah fans of mission are shaking hands,
- 1:32:18Speaker 5: going hey, we're boys, which is which is absolutely awesome
- 1:32:22Speaker 5: to see. There's a friendship taking place. I absolutely love it.
- 1:32:25Speaker 5: Getting back to the important thing, motorcycles. My first my
- 1:32:29Speaker 5: first love of my life was a freestyle motocross. I
- 1:32:32Speaker 5: grew up in Arizona, loved riding dirt bikes in the
- 1:32:34Speaker 5: whole thing. Are you a guy that when you find
- 1:32:37Speaker 5: your brand, whether it be Indian or Harley Davidson, Honda, Kawasa,
- 1:32:41Speaker 5: like you just stick with that brand. Or you a
- 1:32:43Speaker 5: guy that has a plethora of different brands of motorcycles the.
- 1:32:47Speaker 11: Latter I have right now, I've got three. I've got
- 1:32:49Speaker 11: the Indian, the Challenger, the Challenger Elade just a great
- 1:32:53Speaker 11: road bike. I've got a Ducati, the Multi Strata RS Speedster,
- 1:32:58Speaker 11: got it mapped in tune. It goes over to hundred
- 1:33:00Speaker 11: miles an hour and I've been close to that on it. Yeah,
- 1:33:03Speaker 11: I got the Triumph Rocket four. Uh, you know, the big,
- 1:33:06Speaker 11: big engine, the biggest production engine on a motorcycle. So
- 1:33:09Speaker 11: those are the three I got right now. And so yeah,
- 1:33:11Speaker 11: loyalty to certain brands, but more than one brand, how
- 1:33:15Speaker 11: about that?
- 1:33:16Speaker 5: I love that. Here's here's how I imagine the first game
- 1:33:19Speaker 5: at the University of Michigan. It's a home game. You're
- 1:33:21Speaker 5: playing Western Michigan or some some muffin and the buses
- 1:33:24Speaker 5: are coming in. But in front of the buses is
- 1:33:27Speaker 5: Kyle Whittingham, couple of apengers sitting on the amazing Blue
- 1:33:31Speaker 5: just riding leading the parade into the tunnel. Could we
- 1:33:34Speaker 5: see some sort of flash like that in your future.
- 1:33:36Speaker 11: We'll see if we can fashion that and make that work.
- 1:33:40Speaker 6: Absolutely, as a skier in a motorcycle rider, what are
- 1:33:44Speaker 6: those conversations when you have players who love and enjoy
- 1:33:47Speaker 6: skiing and motorcycle riding and they're like, Hey, the time off,
- 1:33:50Speaker 6: I'm gonna go, I'm gonna get into some of these
- 1:33:52Speaker 6: extreme h extracurriculars. Are there ever like a little bit
- 1:33:55Speaker 6: of pause.
- 1:33:56Speaker 11: Or I try I try to steer them away from
- 1:33:58Speaker 11: the motorcycles. It's a little bit dangerous for the player.
- 1:34:00Speaker 11: So I say, you know what, that can wait till
- 1:34:02Speaker 11: later in life. But I do go skiing. And when
- 1:34:04Speaker 11: I did go skiing with a bunch of my players
- 1:34:06Speaker 11: at Utah, we had a skier or a kicker and
- 1:34:09Speaker 11: Andy Phillips, who's on the US ski team, and so
- 1:34:11Speaker 11: we've had you know, there's especially the in state guys.
- 1:34:14Speaker 11: They've all ski and so we got up there quite
- 1:34:16Speaker 11: a bit with those guys.
- 1:34:17Speaker 5: I love it. So that turns more into a thing
- 1:34:19Speaker 5: of like, hey, do as I say, not as I do,
- 1:34:21Speaker 5: type of situational Yeah.
- 1:34:22Speaker 6: But then he takes some skiing one might you know
- 1:34:24Speaker 6: I'm not wishing anything bad. Possibly, Yeah, you.
- 1:34:26Speaker 5: Hit him with the bunny slopes, hit him with the bunnies.
- 1:34:28Speaker 5: Let's get you on there. You're not doing no triple
- 1:34:29Speaker 5: diamonds with triple black diamonds. Coach Dave Bavloff told me
- 1:34:33Speaker 5: fifteen minutes that is absolutely it. We can get you
- 1:34:36Speaker 5: on longer. I know we're hitting that mark right now.
- 1:34:38Speaker 5: We do a spring tour every single year. We'd obviously
- 1:34:41Speaker 5: love to come up do a deeper dive into your
- 1:34:43Speaker 5: history culture family, how you develop such an electric culture
- 1:34:48Speaker 5: at Utah and how you're bringing that to Michigan. Would
- 1:34:50Speaker 5: love to hit that later, but we know you have
- 1:34:51Speaker 5: a lot of work to do. Let's retain some boys.
- 1:34:53Speaker 5: I see snowed in the corner. He's coming in. He's
- 1:34:56Speaker 5: taking himself a visit. Let's get that, Henry Junior, Henry
- 1:34:59Speaker 5: Daily Kid, go ahead, bring it over, soft tish or not,
- 1:35:02Speaker 5: whatever injur your head. Let's get him. Let's rock.
- 1:35:04Speaker 11: All right, let's go. I'm on beod.
- 1:35:06Speaker 6: All I have to ask is we gotta get a
- 1:35:08Speaker 6: pump in with you when we come up to Michigan.
- 1:35:10Speaker 11: Yeah, come on out. We've got a fantastic weight room here.
- 1:35:12Speaker 6: Love it, yes, sir.
- 1:35:14Speaker 5: One last question before you go. One last one. There
- 1:35:17Speaker 5: was a rumor of something about four thousand total days.
- 1:35:19Speaker 5: If you're working out every single day, that is that
- 1:35:21Speaker 5: streak still alive.
- 1:35:22Speaker 11: It is alive and going. It's more like sixty five
- 1:35:25Speaker 11: hundred right now. And so now that does Sundays. It's
- 1:35:28Speaker 11: Monday through Saturday. I gotta have a day off in there.
- 1:35:30Speaker 11: So so Monday through Saturday not a miss. It's July
- 1:35:33Speaker 11: one and two, thousand and eight.
- 1:35:35Speaker 5: Yeah, even God rested for a day. All it sound
- 1:35:37Speaker 5: is my head. Coach could kick your head. Coaches, ask
- 1:35:39Speaker 5: anybody who's watching, coach, we appreciate you, Ronalplaus Kyle what
- 1:35:43Speaker 5: the savior of the University of Michigan. We really appreciate you, sir,
- 1:35:46Speaker 5: Enjoy the rest of your day.
- 1:35:47Speaker 11: Thanks, guys, appreciate you having me on.
- 1:35:49Speaker 6: Say thanks coach.
- 1:35:50Speaker 5: All right, you can't tell me you listen to that
- 1:35:55Speaker 5: type of enthusiasm at of a sixty six year old man.
- 1:35:57Speaker 5: You don't get a little juice down below, little six
- 1:36:00Speaker 5: to midnight type of feel when you watch Kyle Woodingham
- 1:36:03Speaker 5: addressed address us the way he did. Yeah, are you
- 1:36:06Speaker 5: sat up straighter? The minute he came on, he said
- 1:36:09Speaker 5: a sentence and you went yeah.
- 1:36:10Speaker 6: Once.
- 1:36:11Speaker 5: He he's got that vibe.
- 1:36:12Speaker 6: He's got the vibe. He's got the vibe to where
- 1:36:14Speaker 6: even the questions I was asking, like I know we're
- 1:36:16Speaker 6: recording and everything else, but you know he's got some
- 1:36:19Speaker 6: some gold and one liners. Yeah that he thinks on
- 1:36:22Speaker 6: the pain of the ass stuff like there's gotta be
- 1:36:25Speaker 6: in my head, but maybe not maybe his entire philosophy,
- 1:36:30Speaker 6: like when he had his job at Utah. It was
- 1:36:33Speaker 6: him understanding that he would love to be in a
- 1:36:35Speaker 6: spot where his kids could go K through twelve at
- 1:36:38Speaker 6: but maybe one to where along the way he turned
- 1:36:41Speaker 6: down a job that once he gets a few years removed,
- 1:36:43Speaker 6: like maybe he thinks about that job a little bit
- 1:36:45Speaker 6: or looks back. I was kind of like looking for
- 1:36:46Speaker 6: a story there, but then it turns into this story
- 1:36:49Speaker 6: arc to where hey, all of his patients and everything
- 1:36:52Speaker 6: worked out because he's now at the University of Michigan.
- 1:36:54Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll tell you what. One thing that rings true
- 1:36:57Speaker 5: in my mind is the conversation you and I. I
- 1:37:00Speaker 5: think it was like mid October, and you're like, to
- 1:37:02Speaker 5: be honest, man, unless you're a fan of Mission, it's
- 1:37:04Speaker 5: not that fun to watch their football games. And that's
- 1:37:06Speaker 5: something that you said that I was like, Yeah, I
- 1:37:07Speaker 5: agree with it because everything they do is very predictable.
- 1:37:10Speaker 5: Watching some of Utah's offense and Jason Beck's offense, I
- 1:37:13Speaker 5: cannot wait. Regardless of how this transfer portal thing takes
- 1:37:16Speaker 5: off takes place, I cannot wait to watch those boys
- 1:37:20Speaker 5: in the fall. It's gonna be a completely different program.
- 1:37:23Speaker 5: Real coaching is going to take place in an Arbor, Michigan.
- 1:37:27Speaker 6: Real development is going to a coach and I'm gonna,
- 1:37:31Speaker 6: oh yeah, step down, which I was glad. I love
- 1:37:33Speaker 6: that because again I haven't It's not like I know.
- 1:37:35Speaker 6: I know he's been the guy at Utah forever, but
- 1:37:38Speaker 6: I don't know a whole lot about him. Yeah yeah,
- 1:37:42Speaker 6: And maybe maybe he said that, you know what I mean,
- 1:37:44Speaker 6: maybe he said that in other interviews. I can't wait
- 1:37:46Speaker 6: till we have like a longer conversation with him, because
- 1:37:48Speaker 6: I'm gonna find better because again we were compacted in
- 1:37:52Speaker 6: the fifteen minutes, but better questions of understanding how your
- 1:37:55Speaker 6: philosophy changes over time, with having guys kind of on
- 1:37:58Speaker 6: a merry go round, with implementing culture and process minded
- 1:38:01Speaker 6: individuals to or when you got those tweiner guys that
- 1:38:05Speaker 6: you know in your mind and in your heart like
- 1:38:07Speaker 6: they have what it takes. They're just going through something
- 1:38:10Speaker 6: hard right now, and whoever they got in their ear
- 1:38:12Speaker 6: telling them they need to go find greener pastures, because again,
- 1:38:15Speaker 6: five thousand guys in the portal is insane, and I
- 1:38:18Speaker 6: know there are better situations for guys, So I am
- 1:38:20Speaker 6: glad the portal is able to be used that way.
- 1:38:24Speaker 6: But the fact that it's a wild West throughout the
- 1:38:26Speaker 6: year twenty four to seven, they've made a couple of corrections,
- 1:38:28Speaker 6: like one portal window compared to two. But I'm just
- 1:38:30Speaker 6: so fascinated to how you especially coach Whittingham. Again, he's
- 1:38:34Speaker 6: what sixty six, so he's been in the game a
- 1:38:37Speaker 6: long time, Yeah, decades to where when he's coaching his
- 1:38:41Speaker 6: football team, where he's got it for four or five years,
- 1:38:43Speaker 6: a lot of those philosophies now have to kind of
- 1:38:46Speaker 6: change in a way because you gotta appease what some
- 1:38:50Speaker 6: kid might be thinking so that way he doesn't leave
- 1:38:52Speaker 6: your team.
- 1:38:53Speaker 5: He's a type of coach that will put you through
- 1:38:55Speaker 5: a grueling workout, a gruelling practice, and when you think
- 1:38:57Speaker 5: I can't handle this shit, he comes up and puts
- 1:38:59Speaker 5: his arm orightnd you and be like, I'm proud of
- 1:39:01Speaker 5: what you're doing and you think I need to stay here? Yeah,
- 1:39:03Speaker 5: that's yeah. That the guy's got leadership. The guy has
- 1:39:07Speaker 5: something about him, a true feels like culture CEO guy
- 1:39:11Speaker 5: and lets his coaches implement their their strategies and coach
- 1:39:15Speaker 5: them and oversees everything handling personalities. He's talking about twenty
- 1:39:19Speaker 5: hours with every single guy at both site two days
- 1:39:22Speaker 5: after he takes the job, Like, this is the kind
- 1:39:24Speaker 5: of shit. This is the kind of coaching that you're
- 1:39:26Speaker 5: seeing early early stages of that should make you fired up.
- 1:39:30Speaker 6: If you're a mission And he brought up another He
- 1:39:33Speaker 6: brought up another point when he was talking about the
- 1:39:36Speaker 6: portal too, to where I hadn't thought about it. I
- 1:39:38Speaker 6: hadn't thought about it that deeply yet. But the fact
- 1:39:40Speaker 6: that the portal opened so abruptly, and it's you know,
- 1:39:43Speaker 6: the Collsball playoffs are still going on, so kids are
- 1:39:46Speaker 6: hitting the portal, they're taking visits or whatnot. But to
- 1:39:48Speaker 6: have so much a small window to try and not
- 1:39:52Speaker 6: only retain your roster but bring in other guys, like,
- 1:39:54Speaker 6: there's no like I guess, like courting a cording window
- 1:39:59Speaker 6: to where you know guys I go on visits, you
- 1:40:01Speaker 6: know what I mean? Like in the NFL, you might
- 1:40:03Speaker 6: have you know who the big names are gonna be
- 1:40:04Speaker 6: because there is a tampering period. Yep, that happens, and
- 1:40:07Speaker 6: then all the big name guys go day one because
- 1:40:09Speaker 6: it kind of all gets figured out and set up.
- 1:40:11Speaker 6: But free agency is opened for several weeks absolutely to
- 1:40:16Speaker 6: wur guys are able to go and like take make
- 1:40:18Speaker 6: very good conscious decisions because some of the stuff we hear,
- 1:40:21Speaker 6: like what players ask, what they're posturing up to leverage,
- 1:40:24Speaker 6: Like hey, we want a house here, we want travel, stipends,
- 1:40:28Speaker 6: we want all of these different things to where I
- 1:40:31Speaker 6: don't know, I feel like there's not a lot of
- 1:40:32Speaker 6: time to spend in the process of recruiting and making
- 1:40:36Speaker 6: these decisions to where you're making a good one on
- 1:40:38Speaker 6: both sides.
- 1:40:39Speaker 5: Yeah, you have. There's gotta be a fine balance of
- 1:40:42Speaker 5: throwing a bag at somebody and then finding a culture
- 1:40:44Speaker 5: and then realizing like what is bullshit? Like you brought
- 1:40:47Speaker 5: the house and the stipe of the stipend traveling thing.
- 1:40:50Speaker 5: It's like, buddy, just here's enough money. Let's not step
- 1:40:54Speaker 5: over dollars to pick up dimes because what's the end
- 1:40:56Speaker 5: goal here. It's still to go to the NFL and
- 1:40:58Speaker 5: still to get that second contract in the NFL. All
- 1:41:00Speaker 5: of those things are right in front of you, and
- 1:41:02Speaker 5: to all of these kids at Michigan, it's like, dude,
- 1:41:04Speaker 5: you're you're actually gonna get coached now. Like I think
- 1:41:06Speaker 5: we all kind of sat there and we kind of
- 1:41:08Speaker 5: knew anytime you pop out a Michigan game, it's like, Okay,
- 1:41:10Speaker 5: they're going to run the ball two times and if
- 1:41:12Speaker 5: they're behind the sticks, they're going to.
- 1:41:13Speaker 1: Try and throw it.
- 1:41:13Speaker 5: And there's that's not a winning formula. That's a good
- 1:41:16Speaker 5: You excited about retention because at the very lees you've
- 1:41:19Speaker 5: retained all your main players at Michigan. That's a damn
- 1:41:21Speaker 5: good ball club. Have you developed those kids and you like,
- 1:41:25Speaker 5: you watch did you watch the Bowl game at all?
- 1:41:27Speaker 6: No? Okay, good game, good game.
- 1:41:29Speaker 5: But if you're watching Bryce Underwood, you're like, this kid's
- 1:41:32Speaker 5: clearly one of the most talented people on the field,
- 1:41:36Speaker 5: but he just has technique and fundamental issues where you're like,
- 1:41:38Speaker 5: if you just fix that, this kid can be something special.
- 1:41:41Speaker 5: I truly believe, Like I think if Bryce stays like
- 1:41:45Speaker 5: it sounds like he's going to and we get the development,
- 1:41:48Speaker 5: we could get a couple of receivers, Like we have
- 1:41:49Speaker 5: a you know what I think the office is going
- 1:41:51Speaker 5: to be next year. The conversation is like, can we
- 1:41:54Speaker 5: even bring back Bryce or is he getting that five
- 1:41:56Speaker 5: seven million dollar offer? Because he's going to be that
- 1:41:58Speaker 5: kind of caliber player. He has that ability to at least.
- 1:42:01Speaker 8: A story that I'm very excited to see develop is
- 1:42:04Speaker 8: Utah is very much trying to go new age. They've
- 1:42:08Speaker 8: partnered with a.
- 1:42:09Speaker 5: Private equity gree Yeah, I wanted to bring that up.
- 1:42:11Speaker 7: They're making a.
- 1:42:11Speaker 8: Bunch of big moves to where winning him very smartly
- 1:42:14Speaker 8: was seeing the writing on the wall step down. I
- 1:42:17Speaker 8: can't wait to see that old school new school of
- 1:42:20Speaker 8: what's the trajectory of Michigan. What's the trajectory of Utah?
- 1:42:24Speaker 8: Which one of these schools of thoughts is going to prevail?
- 1:42:27Speaker 6: Because you hear him putting in nuggets like as he's
- 1:42:29Speaker 6: answering some questions, he's like, the top rosters, you're getting
- 1:42:32Speaker 6: forty plus million dollars. Yeah, like things that are going
- 1:42:34Speaker 6: into it strategically, the voice that you're putting out there,
- 1:42:37Speaker 6: so that way, when you're in the rooms with the
- 1:42:38Speaker 6: people who do have the money, you're like, hey, I
- 1:42:41Speaker 6: know you want us to compete. Here, here is the
- 1:42:43Speaker 6: dollar amount that it's taking. Because of everything we're hearing
- 1:42:46Speaker 6: some of these kids. When you look at the portal,
- 1:42:48Speaker 6: when you hear about how other schools are operating.
- 1:42:51Speaker 5: It'll be it'll be extremely interesting to see what takes place.
- 1:42:53Speaker 6: Man what's nuts is it's going to be a I
- 1:42:55Speaker 6: feel like the college fotball playoffs going to be completely
- 1:42:57Speaker 6: different next year. Yeah, not like every team, but the
- 1:43:00Speaker 6: parody we now have in college football is a lot
- 1:43:03Speaker 6: of fun to watch. There's some of the just these
- 1:43:05Speaker 6: systems and process structure that could very much get better
- 1:43:08Speaker 6: that helps benefit the player as well as like the
- 1:43:12Speaker 6: overall product.
- 1:43:12Speaker 3: Can we've been in agreeance that the transfer portal should
- 1:43:15Speaker 3: open once the football season's over.
- 1:43:18Speaker 5: Yeah, like that.
- 1:43:22Speaker 6: It's all calendar based. Like if you get a lot
- 1:43:24Speaker 6: of coaches said at day lanning, the most recent Nick
- 1:43:26Speaker 6: Saban's been talking about, Josh Pate's been talking about, all
- 1:43:28Speaker 6: of our heads are wrapped around. If you can have
- 1:43:30Speaker 6: the college ball playoff and the season wrapped by January first,
- 1:43:34Speaker 6: you then have the rest of that time a couple
- 1:43:36Speaker 6: of weeks before the next semester starts, because there's gonna
- 1:43:39Speaker 6: be a balance of getting the calendar in line with
- 1:43:41Speaker 6: the academic calendar as well. But if you fast track
- 1:43:44Speaker 6: Taylor we've talked about on this podcast before, you know,
- 1:43:47Speaker 6: maybe it's whether it's around conference championship week or that
- 1:43:50Speaker 6: week off after, like you move all these games up.
- 1:43:52Speaker 6: You just get it to where the season of college
- 1:43:54Speaker 6: football concludes by the new year, and then you have
- 1:43:58Speaker 6: like two weeks I believe, until like second semester usually
- 1:44:00Speaker 6: starts in a lot of college programs.
- 1:44:02Speaker 5: Yeah, windows should be like that gracefully way Jack put
- 1:44:09Speaker 5: it during Gooch Week, like that's when everything needs to
- 1:44:12Speaker 5: take place.
- 1:44:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like that that makes too much sense
- 1:44:16Speaker 3: as to like why is that not a thing?
- 1:44:19Speaker 5: I think I think we're trudging down a barrel right now,
- 1:44:22Speaker 5: getting getting there. Just Yeah, I think I think it
- 1:44:25Speaker 5: could be as early as this next upcoming.
- 1:44:26Speaker 6: So I was listening to Sabin and Herbstreet talk about
- 1:44:29Speaker 6: it on the recent College game one of the recent
- 1:44:32Speaker 6: college game days, because it sounds like it's not a
- 1:44:35Speaker 6: thing where the n C Double A has the power
- 1:44:38Speaker 6: to just change the n C double A structure. They
- 1:44:40Speaker 6: would have to go through, whether it's Congress or something
- 1:44:43Speaker 6: like that. Like what it would take is for the
- 1:44:45Speaker 6: heads of the conferences.
- 1:44:46Speaker 5: Yeah, legislation would have to take place.
- 1:44:48Speaker 6: Yeah, what the commissioners of each conference like get in
- 1:44:51Speaker 6: a room and help decide put egos aside and decide
- 1:44:55Speaker 6: some of these calendar issues that would more so benefit
- 1:44:58Speaker 6: the players than everybody kind of posturing conference wise, to
- 1:45:01Speaker 6: have everything a certain way.
- 1:45:02Speaker 5: It's gonna be so interesting. I'm just so caught up
- 1:45:05Speaker 5: on the Michigan thing because one thing that Michigan is
- 1:45:07Speaker 5: also running up against right now is there's an interim
- 1:45:10Speaker 5: president taking place. And so when there's a missions like
- 1:45:14Speaker 5: Michigan is, you know, regardless of what fandom, sports, everything
- 1:45:17Speaker 5: like that, it's a top fifteen public school in the world.
- 1:45:19Speaker 5: So the bar of the entry bar to get into
- 1:45:22Speaker 5: the school is very difficult. Now sometimes they make you know,
- 1:45:26Speaker 5: they'll be like, Okay, this guy can get in because X,
- 1:45:28Speaker 5: Y and Z. When there's an interim president taking place
- 1:45:30Speaker 5: and you have some of these these transfer portal guys in,
- 1:45:33Speaker 5: there is a credit issue that if they have like
- 1:45:35Speaker 5: above sixty credits, someone has to give them like, hey, okay,
- 1:45:38Speaker 5: we'll allow those credits. And when the interim president, it's
- 1:45:41Speaker 5: gonna be more difficult to have that happen. So it's
- 1:45:43Speaker 5: gonna be interesting to see how this portal kind of
- 1:45:47Speaker 5: takes place in this whole thing, right Yeah, because we
- 1:45:51Speaker 5: don't we don't have a guy in the interim guy
- 1:45:53Speaker 5: is probably more reluctant to make those types of decisions
- 1:45:55Speaker 5: when he's more of a placeholder, so be it'll be
- 1:45:58Speaker 5: very interesting.
- 1:45:59Speaker 6: We interrupt this to bring you Jim Beam. The postseason
- 1:46:02Speaker 6: upon Hi says, there's nothing like it. But the postseason
- 1:46:04Speaker 6: could be stressful, crushing losses, wild up sets, you're unhinged,
- 1:46:07Speaker 6: six game parlay, falling apart at the literal last second.
- 1:46:11Speaker 6: Things can get rough and it can leave you feeling
- 1:46:13Speaker 6: a little sour. But you got to look at the
- 1:46:14Speaker 6: bright side. Once your team is out and headed to decompressed,
- 1:46:17Speaker 6: you can finally relax. Now you can, finally you can

- 1:46:46Speaker 6: the rest of the postseason just a little bit sweeter.

- 1:47:05Speaker 6: by Netflix. Here's a question I want to ask. If
- 1:47:07Speaker 6: you walked into a stashouts and I found it full,
- 1:47:10Speaker 6: and you found it full of twenty million dollars, how
- 1:47:13Speaker 6: much would you steal? That's the question Matt Damon and
- 1:47:16Speaker 6: Ben Affleck have to answer. In Netflix new movie The Rip.
- 1:47:19Speaker 6: They played a team of Miami cops alongside Tianna Taylor,
- 1:47:22Speaker 6: Steven Young, Catalina Sandino, Moreno, Kyle Chandler, and Sasha Kaja,
- 1:47:28Speaker 6: all trying to decide are they the good guys or
- 1:47:30Speaker 6: the bad guys. This movie is an edge of your
- 1:47:32Speaker 6: seat throw ride the entire time and keeping you guessing
- 1:47:35Speaker 6: to the very end. Don't miss The Rip on Netflix
- 1:47:38Speaker 6: only January sixteenth. Let's get back to this episode of
- 1:47:43Speaker 6: Busting with the Boys. Is KB about to come on?
- 1:47:45Speaker 1: What's good boys?
- 1:47:48Speaker 5: KB? What's up? Brother?
- 1:47:50Speaker 1: Let me crank this volume if I can't hear shit.
- 1:47:53Speaker 1: How you guys doing, man.
- 1:47:54Speaker 6: Dude, we are doing lovely still in Nashville. Bus still
- 1:47:57Speaker 6: in Nashville, is still the same spot.
- 1:47:59Speaker 1: Or you came in said no, you'all boys is global now?
- 1:48:02Speaker 6: Grobal?
- 1:48:03Speaker 5: Well, thank you? Maybe national. I don't know about global.
- 1:48:06Speaker 5: People in Spain aren't necessarily subscribing to Busting with the Boys,
- 1:48:09Speaker 5: but working.
- 1:48:09Speaker 6: On it national enough to people. People heard me say
- 1:48:12Speaker 6: that I don't think the Chicago Bears will make the.
- 1:48:14Speaker 12: Playoffs, which is crazy work. Bro, It's all good, Bro.
- 1:48:17Speaker 12: I still love you, Bro.
- 1:48:18Speaker 6: I know now KB. You can't tell me. I do
- 1:48:21Speaker 6: have a couple questions. But are we rolling right now?
- 1:48:23Speaker 5: Okay, let's give a big right up aplause for friend
- 1:48:25Speaker 5: at the show multiple time being here, Kevin Bayer. No
- 1:48:29Speaker 5: global selection this year.
- 1:48:31Speaker 6: We're eat your food, baby.
- 1:48:33Speaker 5: This bus is casual, eat away, eat away, dudet. We
- 1:48:39Speaker 5: we talked about this just a couple of seconds ago.
- 1:48:40Speaker 5: But people are getting hating on Will for saying that
- 1:48:43Speaker 5: the Bears aren't going to make the playoffs. I was
- 1:48:45Speaker 5: kind of sitting right there next to them, but people
- 1:48:47Speaker 5: just start taking shots of him.
- 1:48:48Speaker 1: Great.
- 1:48:49Speaker 5: I love to go away to save I was gunsing
- 1:48:51Speaker 5: them like I can see that happening. But dude, you
- 1:48:54Speaker 5: get started owing two. Statistically, we're talking about a twelve
- 1:48:58Speaker 5: point five percent chance of making the playoffs. Ben Johnson
- 1:49:01Speaker 5: during camp, everyone's trying to break down his press conferences.
- 1:49:05Speaker 5: He doesn't seem like he's happy about the offense taking place.
- 1:49:08Speaker 5: Is the defense really good or they actually just opportunistic?
- 1:49:11Speaker 5: They're really running because they're kind of hold back Kayleb
- 1:49:13Speaker 5: Williams and you guys just kind of go on a
- 1:49:14Speaker 5: little bit of a run. Like what what changed the
- 1:49:18Speaker 5: last six, seven, eight weeks?
- 1:49:21Speaker 12: I mean, honestly, bro, Like you know, it is bro
- 1:49:24Speaker 12: when you when you lose the game in the NFL period,
- 1:49:27Speaker 12: it feels like the whole sky is falling, you know
- 1:49:29Speaker 12: what I mean, like inside the building his tents and
- 1:49:31Speaker 12: after that Week two game against Detroit, I mean, we
- 1:49:34Speaker 12: got destroyed.
- 1:49:35Speaker 1: And especially with everything that you.
- 1:49:37Speaker 6: Guys have, like you know, just a feeling of the
- 1:49:39Speaker 6: Chicago Bears. You got Caleb Williams first overall pick, got
- 1:49:42Speaker 6: a new head coach, Ben Johnson, This offense should be humming.
- 1:49:45Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:49:45Speaker 6: They they've both set and reflected back on what their
- 1:49:48Speaker 6: relationship was like probably in training camp before the season started,
- 1:49:51Speaker 6: but I would only imagine being in a city like
- 1:49:52Speaker 6: Chicago and how much the fan base does love the
- 1:49:54Speaker 6: football team. Starting off oh and two, you're kind of like, shit,
- 1:49:57Speaker 6: here we go again, right.
- 1:49:59Speaker 12: Yeah, No, I was early, Bro, And I also think
- 1:50:01Speaker 12: like as a team, like we were still trying to
- 1:50:02Speaker 12: find our footing on like who we were identity wise,
- 1:50:06Speaker 12: The offense wasn't just humming just yet. But I don't know, Bro,
- 1:50:10Speaker 12: I think like after that week, you know, we had
- 1:50:13Speaker 12: a crazy film session. Obviously when you get this, when
- 1:50:16Speaker 12: you get put up fifty points on you, it was.
- 1:50:18Speaker 1: It was. It was one of those low light type
- 1:50:20Speaker 1: film sessions, and uh kind of just kept real with
- 1:50:22Speaker 1: each other. Man.
- 1:50:23Speaker 12: But we knew the way this schedule was kind of
- 1:50:24Speaker 12: set up, we were going to be able to string
- 1:50:27Speaker 12: to get us some wins. So obviously we had Dallas
- 1:50:29Speaker 12: at home the next week, then we went to Vegas
- 1:50:31Speaker 12: and beat the Raiders, and then we had like an
- 1:50:33Speaker 12: early bye week. So he was like, man, if we
- 1:50:35Speaker 12: just go to the bye week two and two, we
- 1:50:37Speaker 12: can make a run. And I think our schedule kind
- 1:50:39Speaker 12: of softened up towards the middle of the you know,
- 1:50:41Speaker 12: towards the middle, towards the later part of our schedule.
- 1:50:44Speaker 12: You know, we got on the run, Bro, Like you said,
- 1:50:46Speaker 12: our offense started to hum our defense was being super opportunistic.
- 1:50:50Speaker 12: I mean, I want to call it opportunistic. We were
- 1:50:51Speaker 12: really just taking the ball away. Honestly, we having games
- 1:50:54Speaker 12: of four takeaways, three takeaways four four, and obviously we're
- 1:50:58Speaker 12: the best in the league taking the ball. So it's
- 1:51:00Speaker 12: been kind of like our identity this year, Like when
- 1:51:02Speaker 12: we take the ball away, we tend to win games
- 1:51:04Speaker 12: more often than we don't. So uh now, but it's
- 1:51:07Speaker 12: been a fun year, Bro, to be able to win
- 1:51:09Speaker 12: a division, obviously after last year.
- 1:51:11Speaker 1: Man, we lost ten games straight. Last year was terrible.
- 1:51:14Speaker 12: So come from there to have that turnaround that we
- 1:51:16Speaker 12: got now with Ben and Caleb obviously playing at very
- 1:51:19Speaker 12: high level.
- 1:51:19Speaker 1: Man, it's been fun this year.
- 1:51:20Speaker 3: Bro.
- 1:51:21Speaker 5: Talk to me about Like, dude, you know, we played together.
- 1:51:24Speaker 5: I played it for one franchise. I'm a domesticated cat,
- 1:51:27Speaker 5: like I only I only know what I know. Tennessee
- 1:51:29Speaker 5: Will comes over for the team formerly known as the
- 1:51:31Speaker 5: Redskins comes over. He's like, Hey, this media and this
- 1:51:34Speaker 5: fan base, like they're not They're not that loud. Do
- 1:51:36Speaker 5: you think this is loud? This is nothing. What are
- 1:51:39Speaker 5: the Chicago Chicago Bears fans like? Because you got kids
- 1:51:42Speaker 5: still wearing Mike Dicka type of you call costumes during Halloween. Aye,
- 1:51:47Speaker 5: they don't have nothing to look forward to, really, but
- 1:51:49Speaker 5: they seem like a fan base that is a ravid
- 1:51:51Speaker 5: fan base. So you start zero and two. What's that
- 1:51:54Speaker 5: noise like in that building compared to the Titans?
- 1:51:57Speaker 1: Bro, it's heavy, Like I will say, so, you know,
- 1:52:00Speaker 1: we have like TV.
- 1:52:01Speaker 12: We got TV's run a facility and in our our
- 1:52:04Speaker 12: hydro area where the hot tubs and the Cole tubs
- 1:52:06Speaker 12: is three TVs in there. One TV is always like
- 1:52:09Speaker 12: on Fox Sports or something like that. And Colin Carhart
- 1:52:11Speaker 12: I think it's his name.
- 1:52:13Speaker 1: So he does the sports every day. Heart how heart?
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Meana, Butcher's name bad.
- 1:52:19Speaker 12: But Bro, this guy every single day talks about the
- 1:52:22Speaker 12: Chicago Bears. Like every time I feel like I go
- 1:52:24Speaker 12: in there, he's talking about Kayler Williams and how bad
- 1:52:27Speaker 12: the Bears suck or whatever it may be.
- 1:52:28Speaker 1: But it's bad. Bro.
- 1:52:30Speaker 12: Like you said in Tennessee, you really realize, like how
- 1:52:33Speaker 12: how like the media is like normally, you know, if
- 1:52:35Speaker 12: you're doing well, they're talking good about you. But it's
- 1:52:37Speaker 12: not a whole lot of negative media. People outside of
- 1:52:40Speaker 12: park Orska you all know Caulds. But no, it's heavy, bro,
- 1:52:46Speaker 12: and it's it's very It's a city that it can
- 1:52:48Speaker 12: divide the players and the team real quick because everybody
- 1:52:51Speaker 12: hear the noise. I mean you know how people go
- 1:52:53Speaker 12: into the their their media, their press conference and be like,
- 1:52:56Speaker 12: you know, we're we're ignoring the noise.
- 1:52:58Speaker 1: We're not.
- 1:52:58Speaker 12: Like it's impossible, bro. And anybody that says that it's lying.
- 1:53:01Speaker 12: We all know that. Everybody regets on Twitter, Instagram and
- 1:53:04Speaker 12: season stuff that people say about them, especially this generation.
- 1:53:07Speaker 1: Bro.
- 1:53:07Speaker 12: These guys literally type their names in on social media
- 1:53:10Speaker 12: just to see exactly what people are saying that if
- 1:53:12Speaker 12: it's good or bad. It's crazy. But no, the noise
- 1:53:15Speaker 12: is heavy, but when we wining, it's all good. Attention
- 1:53:19Speaker 12: the fans is crazy. I mean, think about this, bro.
- 1:53:21Speaker 12: I've had some really good years in Tennessee. Obviously we
- 1:53:24Speaker 12: was all teammates together, but this opposite. This past year,
- 1:53:27Speaker 12: I was the fifth highest voted player for the Pro
- 1:53:32Speaker 12: Bowl overall, they'll just let you know, like how much
- 1:53:35Speaker 12: our fans were voting, how much they loved this team,
- 1:53:38Speaker 12: that I was able to be top five in votes.
- 1:53:40Speaker 12: Me and Kayler was top five. So and obviously I'm
- 1:53:43Speaker 12: up there with like Travis Kelcey and all those guys.
- 1:53:45Speaker 12: And obviously I had a good year. I appreciate it.
- 1:53:47Speaker 12: Obviously I feel like I'm a good player. But I mean,
- 1:53:49Speaker 12: top five is crazy. But that just lets you know,
- 1:53:51Speaker 12: you know how good are and dope our fans are.
- 1:53:53Speaker 6: For show leading the league and interceptions.
- 1:53:58Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah at thirty two year thirty two year.
- 1:54:01Speaker 12: Ten, baby, dude, I still got it.
- 1:54:06Speaker 5: KB had like we were playing the Browns one year
- 1:54:08Speaker 5: and you had like, would you have three of them things?
- 1:54:10Speaker 5: Three im t s, We're going game, hit them in
- 1:54:12Speaker 5: a little cover two, kind of baited at the bottom
- 1:54:15Speaker 5: and then scooted back. Gotti a nice one. And it's
- 1:54:18Speaker 5: like this dude's having like an all Pro type of year,
- 1:54:20Speaker 5: and the Pro Bowl voting comes out and KB is
- 1:54:22Speaker 5: not even top ten and safeties.
- 1:54:24Speaker 6: I know it was always a grind for you guys
- 1:54:26Speaker 6: in Tennessee. Yeah, but if he was in Chicago during
- 1:54:29Speaker 6: that year, yeah, broh, we're talking all pro. Yeah.
- 1:54:33Speaker 5: I think it's like you know, you talk about Pro
- 1:54:35Speaker 5: Bowls or if you're able to make a Pro Bowl
- 1:54:36Speaker 5: at the Titans, that's kind of got that's got to
- 1:54:38Speaker 5: be a massive am I, right, KB.
- 1:54:40Speaker 12: Because even I think you had made it to the
- 1:54:42Speaker 12: Pro Bowl like three or four years straight, right, and
- 1:54:45Speaker 12: I remember the fan boats would come on, you would
- 1:54:47Speaker 12: be like eighth in the fan boats or something like that.
- 1:54:49Speaker 12: Like I don't know why people didn't like you for
- 1:54:50Speaker 12: some reason. Maybe I don't know the reason. The fantastic player,
- 1:54:56Speaker 12: but you will always get voted in. But like the
- 1:54:58Speaker 12: fan boast was never like we've ever at the top.
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: Bro. Yeah, it's even that year you just kind of
- 1:55:02Speaker 1: spoke about.
- 1:55:03Speaker 6: Bro.
- 1:55:03Speaker 12: I didn't even get voted in on the initial ballot.
- 1:55:05Speaker 12: I was like a second alternate, Bro, because like Devin
- 1:55:08Speaker 12: mccordy went to the Super Bowl, so he couldn't play
- 1:55:11Speaker 12: in it. So I got in on the technicality basically, you.
- 1:55:13Speaker 5: You bring up a great point that we talked about
- 1:55:16Speaker 5: in the locker room with Delaney Walker and Clay Matthews.
- 1:55:19Speaker 5: So Delaney, one of these years, Delaney and Darrell Casey
- 1:55:23Speaker 5: are alternates for the Pro Bowl and Darrell basically talks
- 1:55:26Speaker 5: Delaney into, Bro, we shouldn't go because we should only
- 1:55:29Speaker 5: go when we actually make it. I'm sitting here over
- 1:55:32Speaker 5: here in this conversation, I'm like year one or two,
- 1:55:34Speaker 5: it might have been your first year, and I'm thinking
- 1:55:36Speaker 5: to myself, that is so stupid, Like if you if
- 1:55:39Speaker 5: you can get the first Pro Bowl under the belt, Bro,
- 1:55:41Speaker 5: you gotta get this because at the end of the day,
- 1:55:43Speaker 5: like it's gonna be on the Wiki forever and like
- 1:55:45Speaker 5: no one's gonna question like, oh, altern out, Like you know,
- 1:55:47Speaker 5: you made the Pro Bowl, Like have you ever been
- 1:55:49Speaker 5: when you're an alternate? Was there ever a thought to
- 1:55:51Speaker 5: you like you know what, I'm gonna wait till I
- 1:55:54Speaker 5: earn it, or when they called and said, hey you
- 1:55:55Speaker 5: can come now, you're like, oh, hell yeah, bro.
- 1:55:57Speaker 12: That year, I remember I was watching that playoff game.
- 1:56:00Speaker 12: It was the FC championship game Jaguars in New England
- 1:56:03Speaker 12: and obviously New England won it. That's when Stepan Gilmore
- 1:56:05Speaker 12: had the tip pass and won the game. I remember
- 1:56:08Speaker 12: like right after that, the game was like right, the
- 1:56:09Speaker 12: game was over, Like five minutes later. I was at
- 1:56:11Speaker 12: like one of my friend's house, John Robinson calls me.
- 1:56:13Speaker 12: I'm thinking, like, what the hell was John calling me for?
- 1:56:16Speaker 12: You know, in the middle off season. He's like, hey, hey, Bud,
- 1:56:19Speaker 12: got to call me. You want to go down to
- 1:56:20Speaker 12: the Pro Bowl. I'm like, hell, yes, I want to
- 1:56:22Speaker 12: go to Pro Bowl?
- 1:56:23Speaker 1: What do you mean?
- 1:56:23Speaker 12: Like, I'm not about to sit here, like, don't go
- 1:56:25Speaker 12: because I didn't get on the first ballot. Like, anytime
- 1:56:27Speaker 12: you have an opportunity to go down there, especially when
- 1:56:30Speaker 12: it was in Orlando, free trip to Disney World, all
- 1:56:32Speaker 12: that good stuff, you're gonna go.
- 1:56:34Speaker 3: Bro.
- 1:56:34Speaker 12: Like now, if I'd have had maybe five or six
- 1:56:37Speaker 12: seven of them already under my belt, maybe I'll say, hey,
- 1:56:40Speaker 12: I don't need it. I'm already first ballot Hall of Famer.
- 1:56:42Speaker 12: Like who cares about the Pro Bowl? But you can
- 1:56:44Speaker 12: get your first Pro Bowl, and you know, regardless if
- 1:56:47Speaker 12: you're a third, fourth alternate, you're gonna go. I remember
- 1:56:50Speaker 12: one year, the last time I was in the Pro Bowl,
- 1:56:52Speaker 12: twenty twenty one, I think every starting quarterback that got
- 1:56:55Speaker 12: voted in literally didn't go. So we had like I
- 1:56:57Speaker 12: think it was like Mac Jones was.
- 1:56:59Speaker 6: There, Huntley Tyler?
- 1:57:02Speaker 1: Yeah, you know Tyler Huntley, Like, Bro, if you're gonna
- 1:57:04Speaker 1: go to Pro Bowl. You better go. You know what
- 1:57:06Speaker 1: I mean, you get on your belt, you know all
- 1:57:08Speaker 1: it all mass Gohenna come to contracts for sure.
- 1:57:10Speaker 6: We all know that de Laney's got a couple of screwzlers.
- 1:57:12Speaker 6: Did you see he had to paint his nails?
- 1:57:14Speaker 12: I did see that, Bro. That was hilarious. So y'all
- 1:57:17Speaker 12: brought the nail tech into the.
- 1:57:20Speaker 1: Was hilarious.
- 1:57:21Speaker 5: Hey, that was all clay like that kind of came in.
- 1:57:23Speaker 5: He had the lady standing behind the set and we
- 1:57:26Speaker 5: didn't really know what was gonna happen, and she just
- 1:57:28Speaker 5: came out of nowhere. Her husband was like a massive
- 1:57:30Speaker 5: Tennessee Titans fan. And dude Delaney having to sit there
- 1:57:34Speaker 5: with this and do this little gesture the whole entire
- 1:57:37Speaker 5: time for that show, it was hilarious and it's.
- 1:57:39Speaker 1: Like his soul he was burning up.
- 1:57:41Speaker 6: Bro.
- 1:57:41Speaker 5: It kind of looked nice though, Like, I Hey, is
- 1:57:44Speaker 5: there a world where Kevin Byrd gets behind Caleb Williams
- 1:57:50Speaker 5: and maybe in solidarity paints them nails just a base coat?
- 1:57:55Speaker 12: So I mean, in solidarity, I'm gonna play my hardest
- 1:57:58Speaker 12: to make sure that we get win, but getting the
- 1:58:01Speaker 12: nails painted Bro, I don't know if that's for me,
- 1:58:04Speaker 12: And it's no shade against it. You know, that's what
- 1:58:06Speaker 12: he does, you know what I mean, it's it's pretty
- 1:58:07Speaker 12: cool to me that he's he's uniquely hisself and all
- 1:58:10Speaker 12: that good stuff.
- 1:58:11Speaker 1: But I don't know if that's for me. BRO.
- 1:58:13Speaker 12: I think I'll lead that to the other guys, but
- 1:58:16Speaker 12: I know for that, I know Clay is about to
- 1:58:19Speaker 12: be talking mad trash this week.
- 1:58:20Speaker 3: Bro.
- 1:58:21Speaker 6: You already know here at the draft, Bears still suck.
- 1:58:24Speaker 1: Now you got the Packers. You can't any better. I
- 1:58:27Speaker 1: see it all.
- 1:58:28Speaker 6: You can't read the story any better. How are you
- 1:58:30Speaker 6: guys feeling going into this week? Losing the game against
- 1:58:33Speaker 6: the Lions. That kind of pissed me off because I
- 1:58:35Speaker 6: finally took you guys, But how are the vibes?
- 1:58:39Speaker 12: I mean, honestly, Bro, like we it's a reset, Bro,
- 1:58:43Speaker 12: we got a reset. I mean, we've lost two straight games. Bro,
- 1:58:45Speaker 12: nobody wants to limp into the playoffs, but that's kind
- 1:58:48Speaker 12: of where we're at right now. We lost too straight.
- 1:58:50Speaker 12: You know, we haven't played our best ball, not on
- 1:58:52Speaker 12: defense at all. We didn't execute well enough yesterday, gave
- 1:58:56Speaker 12: him too many exposive plays, but at the same time,
- 1:59:00Speaker 12: a team that we obviously know well, we you know,
- 1:59:02Speaker 12: split during the regular season. That last play, the last
- 1:59:06Speaker 12: game we played Green Bay, felt like a playoff game.
- 1:59:09Speaker 1: That Saturday night game. It was incredible.
- 1:59:10Speaker 12: So we kind of got a sneak peak of what
- 1:59:12Speaker 12: it's gonna feel like in the playoffs. You know you're
- 1:59:14Speaker 12: gonna have the battle between Matt Laflour and Ben Johnson
- 1:59:16Speaker 12: calling the plays. I think for us as a defense man,
- 1:59:20Speaker 12: we're gonna have to make sure that we're forcing field
- 1:59:21Speaker 12: goals in the red zone. That's what we did good
- 1:59:23Speaker 12: last time. I think they were zero for five in
- 1:59:25Speaker 12: the red zone. I think that kind of kept us
- 1:59:26Speaker 12: in the game to be able to win it and
- 1:59:28Speaker 12: take the ball away. So we feel very confident going
- 1:59:31Speaker 12: to against this group because we know him so much.
- 1:59:33Speaker 12: We know the personnel, which you gotta go out there
- 1:59:35Speaker 12: and reset man, and you know it's do or die
- 1:59:37Speaker 12: right now. We got to go out there and put
- 1:59:39Speaker 12: everything we can into this week to go get a
- 1:59:41Speaker 12: w man. This is gonna be it's probably it's gonna
- 1:59:43Speaker 12: be the most electric game in Soldier Field.
- 1:59:46Speaker 1: I don't I don't want to say history just yet.
- 1:59:49Speaker 1: But listen, a lot.
- 1:59:50Speaker 12: Of history in Tennessee, Like we didn't. I mean, who
- 1:59:54Speaker 12: was who was our rival in Tennessee? We you say Jacksonville?
- 1:59:56Speaker 12: Yeah probably yeah Jacksonville. No, this ship is different, bro,
- 2:00:01Speaker 12: So no listen.
- 2:00:01Speaker 1: So I will tell you this. Bro.
- 2:00:02Speaker 12: When I signed here last year, like I kind of
- 2:00:05Speaker 12: you know, you know about the Green Bay to Aaron Rodgers,
- 2:00:07Speaker 12: I own Chicago, you know all that stuff, but you
- 2:00:10Speaker 12: don't really realize that hatred this city has towards has
- 2:00:13Speaker 12: towards green Bay. And I don't think I don't think
- 2:00:15Speaker 12: green Bay feels the same way about Chicago.
- 2:00:17Speaker 1: But Chicago hates green Bay. Bro.
- 2:00:19Speaker 12: The first preseason game we had here, we might have
- 2:00:22Speaker 12: been playing in Buffalo somewhere. I don't know where we
- 2:00:25Speaker 12: was at. But all of a sudden, just like a
- 2:00:27Speaker 12: green Bay sucks and for green Bay, chat just breaks
- 2:00:30Speaker 12: out out of nowhere. I'm on the side line, like, Bro,
- 2:00:31Speaker 12: what is going on? Like what are they saying? They said, no, Bro,
- 2:00:33Speaker 12: they the fans they hate green Bay. It can happen randomly.
- 2:00:36Speaker 12: We can be at a Blackhawks game, a Bulls game,
- 2:00:39Speaker 12: Bears suck. They're just gonna do it all the time.
- 2:00:41Speaker 12: So this city hates shit, this city hates Green Bay.
- 2:00:45Speaker 12: So now it's gonna be crazy. Bro, it's gonna be
- 2:00:46Speaker 12: crazy that y'all should pull up, Bro, pull up to
- 2:00:48Speaker 12: the game.
- 2:00:49Speaker 6: I know, God, it seems like a fun game to
- 2:00:52Speaker 6: go to.
- 2:00:52Speaker 5: It was a great game to go to.
- 2:00:54Speaker 6: You got a sweet, k oh, yeah.
- 2:00:56Speaker 12: I do, got a sweet, Bro, I got a sweet.
- 2:00:58Speaker 12: I wist y'all was gonna be on the bus type thing.
- 2:01:00Speaker 12: Y'all be on the sideline media passes, still passes. But
- 2:01:02Speaker 12: if y'all want to sweep, y'all come pull up.
- 2:01:04Speaker 6: Bro.
- 2:01:05Speaker 5: It is dude, once you once you retire, k but
- 2:01:07Speaker 5: you don't know this. You're a You're a season vet. Dude,
- 2:01:09Speaker 5: You're calloused. I'm telling you, Bro, the first six months
- 2:01:12Speaker 5: of your retirement, you're gonna turn into a pussy. Like
- 2:01:15Speaker 5: you just become softer. You know, you look outside, it's
- 2:01:18Speaker 5: cold out. You're like, let me put an extra jacket on.
- 2:01:20Speaker 5: You're gonna go watch drills. You're gonna go to a game,
- 2:01:22Speaker 5: whether it be a Bears or a Titans game wherever,
- 2:01:24Speaker 5: and you I cannot believe I was tough enough to
- 2:01:28Speaker 5: do this at one point. It's crazy how fast it
- 2:01:30Speaker 5: just kind of goes away by the wayside. Yeah, it
- 2:01:32Speaker 5: is nuts.
- 2:01:33Speaker 6: And two with the with the NFL going to NFL games,
- 2:01:36Speaker 6: the media, the access is a lot different than college.
- 2:01:39Speaker 6: Like we'll be going out to the College Simmys this
- 2:01:41Speaker 6: week and you're able to kind of be on the
- 2:01:43Speaker 6: sideline and kind of move up and down the sideline.
- 2:01:45Speaker 6: With the NFL, you have to like stay in corners
- 2:01:48Speaker 6: and then when the game starts, I think they everybody
- 2:01:51Speaker 6: else up to the press spot. Yeah.
- 2:01:54Speaker 5: College is way cooler other than besides Oklahoma about like
- 2:01:57Speaker 5: kind of letting you do your thing and rip around
- 2:01:59Speaker 5: a little bit. That's that's that's kind of a nice.
- 2:02:02Speaker 1: College has always been like that.
- 2:02:03Speaker 12: Like even if you're a player that was going back
- 2:02:05Speaker 12: to like your former school, even if you're not a
- 2:02:07Speaker 12: part of media, like you make just be on the
- 2:02:09Speaker 12: sideline with the with the players.
- 2:02:10Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, damn they're coaching. If you want to.
- 2:02:13Speaker 5: Players, players will come up and like and like, dap
- 2:02:16Speaker 5: you up.
- 2:02:17Speaker 6: Yo, this is insane. It was a middle of a game,
- 2:02:19Speaker 6: all touchdown. You can find yourself in the end zone, dude.
- 2:02:23Speaker 5: While we're on the college football thing, obviously, the transfer
- 2:02:26Speaker 5: portals taking place. It's crazy Middle Tennessee as a school
- 2:02:29Speaker 5: that you ball out. Guys are getting plucked left and right. Absolutely,
- 2:02:32Speaker 5: do you think I'm sure a piece of you is like, Yeah,
- 2:02:35Speaker 5: I would have stayed at Middle Tennessee. Your ass would
- 2:02:36Speaker 5: have been out of that would have been gone.
- 2:02:38Speaker 1: He would have been That's a fact. Bro. I probably
- 2:02:40Speaker 1: have left after my freshman year.
- 2:02:41Speaker 6: Yeah, you have a little I had, Like I had like.
- 2:02:44Speaker 12: Four intersessions with my freshman year out of for sure,
- 2:02:46Speaker 12: went somewhere chase some money, just like everybody else. But
- 2:02:49Speaker 12: I got two younger brothers that's in college football right now.
- 2:02:53Speaker 12: So my younger brother started at South Florida two years there.
- 2:02:56Speaker 12: He just transferred to Colorado this past year. All doubt
- 2:03:00Speaker 12: he's just transferred again. Bro, he just signed I think
- 2:03:02Speaker 12: committed to Texas A and M, so he's gonna.
- 2:03:05Speaker 5: Be the damn boy.
- 2:03:07Speaker 12: I got another brother that was at MTSU. He was
- 2:03:10Speaker 12: a preferred walk on and he earned himself a scholarship
- 2:03:13Speaker 12: just passed. So it's funny because like you got the
- 2:03:15Speaker 12: stories like man preferred walk on, you know, basically spent
- 2:03:18Speaker 12: two years being a walk on, paying for school, just
- 2:03:20Speaker 12: got put on scholarship this year, got some playing time?
- 2:03:23Speaker 6: Transfer gone, where's he going?
- 2:03:28Speaker 5: Uh?
- 2:03:28Speaker 12: He has he hasn't committed anywhere yet, but uh, I
- 2:03:30Speaker 12: think he has some visits lined up. But yeah, but
- 2:03:32Speaker 12: that transfer porter is real.
- 2:03:33Speaker 3: Yep.
- 2:03:34Speaker 6: So this is a great This is a great conference.
- 2:03:37Speaker 6: Like what are some of the pools? Is it a
- 2:03:40Speaker 6: lot of just money based? Gotta be and you have
- 2:03:44Speaker 6: to you have two different brothers. You got the one
- 2:03:45Speaker 6: to walk on that probably listens to the other brother, Like, Bro,
- 2:03:48Speaker 6: you don't know what grinds like you out here picking
- 2:03:50Speaker 6: schools for better Instagram posts and everything else. Like he's like,
- 2:03:54Speaker 6: you got a privileged life. So you get to hear
- 2:03:56Speaker 6: You get to hear a lot of different conversations like
- 2:03:58Speaker 6: what goes into the mind of some of these guys
- 2:04:00Speaker 6: when they're hitting the portal?
- 2:04:01Speaker 12: So, Bro, I think a lot of it is I mean,
- 2:04:05Speaker 12: I think number one is money for sure. I would
- 2:04:06Speaker 12: definitely put money there number one, and I think two
- 2:04:09Speaker 12: in the second part probably just more opportunity, you know
- 2:04:12Speaker 12: what I mean? Like for example, the brother that was
- 2:04:14Speaker 12: at you know, Colorado is obviously going to text A
- 2:04:16Speaker 12: and them.
- 2:04:17Speaker 6: Why is he leaving money?
- 2:04:20Speaker 1: Right? Money?
- 2:04:21Speaker 6: But say Colorado is competitive. Were they competitive and trying
- 2:04:23Speaker 6: to keep him?
- 2:04:24Speaker 12: So that's when I haven't had those conversations with him
- 2:04:27Speaker 12: just yet, but I can guarantee it's probably some of that,
- 2:04:29Speaker 12: but then also probably everything around them. Like I think
- 2:04:33Speaker 12: when I look at Colorado, I think this probably had
- 2:04:34Speaker 12: over twenty thirty people that's leaving. So it's kind of like,
- 2:04:37Speaker 12: I don't know, guys are just kind of like they
- 2:04:39Speaker 12: just don't feel motivated to stick stick.
- 2:04:41Speaker 1: Through losing years or.
- 2:04:43Speaker 12: You know, obviously everything fun like shure, I'm about to
- 2:04:45Speaker 12: just jump on another team that obviously texts A and
- 2:04:47Speaker 12: M was just in the playoffs and all that. So
- 2:04:50Speaker 12: I don't know, And I guarantee it's probably money motivated. Bro,
- 2:04:52Speaker 12: It's just like it's free agency. Every basically got every day.
- 2:04:56Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, but you too, being a dB, you gotta
- 2:04:59Speaker 6: be thinking why would you want to leave Coach Prime?
- 2:05:01Speaker 1: But I mean coach Prime.
- 2:05:03Speaker 12: I don't think coach prom is coaching the DVS, you
- 2:05:05Speaker 12: know what I mean, Like obviously he's had some health stuff.
- 2:05:07Speaker 12: I don't just talking to my brother, he's not like
- 2:05:10Speaker 12: up there coaching the D's like they have a dB
- 2:05:12Speaker 12: coach like coach prom is kind of overseeing everything, so
- 2:05:15Speaker 12: it's not like Coach prom is working with the DB's
- 2:05:18Speaker 12: in the film room every single day giving him tips
- 2:05:19Speaker 12: and stuff like that. So but like I said, but
- 2:05:22Speaker 12: then for my younger brother who's at MTSU, I don't
- 2:05:26Speaker 12: think it's more of money motivated more than it's like
- 2:05:28Speaker 12: having an opportunity to probably trying to go to a
- 2:05:30Speaker 12: bigger stage to get more opportunities, more people to see
- 2:05:34Speaker 12: you play, to try to obviously have a chance to
- 2:05:36Speaker 12: make it pro So I think it's more.
- 2:05:38Speaker 1: It's definitely both.
- 2:05:39Speaker 12: Yeah, Now I'm pretty sure he can get more money
- 2:05:41Speaker 12: going to a bigger school, for sure, but I think
- 2:05:43Speaker 12: he's more motivated by having an opportunity to try to
- 2:05:46Speaker 12: go somewhere. It really bet on itself, bro Yah going
- 2:05:49Speaker 12: to walk on getting a scholarship. He wants to bet
- 2:05:51Speaker 12: on his self see if he can go somewhere and
- 2:05:53Speaker 12: earn a spot and ball out, maybe like at a
- 2:05:55Speaker 12: at a power five school or something like that.
- 2:05:57Speaker 5: Yea, Dion is definitely the guy that during practice littering
- 2:06:00Speaker 5: individuals rules, He's running around in a golf cart going
- 2:06:03Speaker 5: by the y y'all think you're nice, but you weren't
- 2:06:06Speaker 5: like me, and then he kind of keeps rolling and
- 2:06:10Speaker 5: everything else. Get get a mob a little bit. Were
- 2:06:13Speaker 5: you a guy, let's just say, everything's everything's even. You're
- 2:06:15Speaker 5: a Philly cat. You go to Mt s U, you
- 2:06:18Speaker 5: go into the transfer portal. Are you a guy? In
- 2:06:20Speaker 5: your brain? Money is all the same. Are you leaning
- 2:06:22Speaker 5: towards the SEC or you leaning towards the Big Ten?
- 2:06:27Speaker 1: That's funny. I'm definitely probably leaning more SEC.
- 2:06:31Speaker 5: I didn't see that coming. I thought Philly he'd be like, you.
- 2:06:34Speaker 1: Know what, it's funny because Ball.
- 2:06:36Speaker 6: At the top now is becoming the Big ten clearly.
- 2:06:39Speaker 12: But you also got to think when I was in school,
- 2:06:40Speaker 12: like SEC was was at the top. You know, now
- 2:06:43Speaker 12: the transfer portal has switched up. Definitely Big ten. You guys,
- 2:06:46Speaker 12: are y'all doing y'all thing? I will say that it's
- 2:06:49Speaker 12: definitely switched up, even though Ohio State. Ohio State just
- 2:06:54Speaker 12: got knocked up in Miami, right, yes, yeah, by Miami.
- 2:06:57Speaker 12: But Alabama's got dominated too, So that's not you. I mean,
- 2:07:00Speaker 12: So I don't know. Big ten is definitely doing everything.
- 2:07:02Speaker 12: But I was always I wanted to go to SEC
- 2:07:04Speaker 12: coming out of high school, being I went to high
- 2:07:06Speaker 12: school in Georgia.
- 2:07:06Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 2:07:07Speaker 12: So I move from Philly with the high school in Georgia.
- 2:07:09Speaker 12: So I wanted to go SEC and so, but I
- 2:07:13Speaker 12: don't know if Hoilo State would offer me.
- 2:07:14Speaker 1: I don't know. It had to be a different conversation though.
- 2:07:16Speaker 5: Yeah, Ohio State, Michigan, I get it.
- 2:07:19Speaker 6: I got a Chicago question for him.
- 2:07:21Speaker 5: Chicago question.
- 2:07:21Speaker 6: Go on, So, KB, respected leader, you we got to
- 2:07:25Speaker 6: see you coming to your own when you're with the Titans.
- 2:07:26Speaker 6: You've been a captain, you've been a leader both teams
- 2:07:30Speaker 6: as like an observer in the team meeting room, around
- 2:07:33Speaker 6: the building, everything else. What have you seen from coach Johnson?
- 2:07:37Speaker 6: What's taken place to where you guys are now on
- 2:07:40Speaker 6: the spot that you are because again, go through all
- 2:07:42Speaker 6: the change in the offseason training camp happens. You start
- 2:07:45Speaker 6: off zero to two, You're having tough meetings in the
- 2:07:47Speaker 6: defensive room, the whole city's on top of you. Now
- 2:07:51Speaker 6: to end the year as winning the division, what have
- 2:07:54Speaker 6: you seen with all the experience you've had in leadership
- 2:07:57Speaker 6: and being a great captain and everything else. So what
- 2:07:59Speaker 6: you've seen happened in the building of Chicago to do
- 2:08:03Speaker 6: their best to block out the noise and just focus
- 2:08:06Speaker 6: on one game at the time. Like, do you have
- 2:08:07Speaker 6: any examples. I see a lot of stuff from Al
- 2:08:09Speaker 6: al Harris, Like are there things where you sat back
- 2:08:12Speaker 6: and you're like this, this this staff, this team kind
- 2:08:16Speaker 6: of knows what it's about.
- 2:08:17Speaker 12: No, I would say just I mean, even just speaking
- 2:08:19Speaker 12: on ben h Bro he just the accountability I think
- 2:08:23Speaker 12: he's brought here to this organization has been needed that
- 2:08:27Speaker 12: I think that hasn't really been here for a long time.
- 2:08:30Speaker 12: I kind of think about just like I mean, I
- 2:08:32Speaker 12: don't want to make the comparison to Raves or nothing
- 2:08:34Speaker 12: like that, but just like that culture shift of when
- 2:08:37Speaker 12: Raves came in, like you know, basically like so I
- 2:08:41Speaker 12: would use this example. So training camp, right, we probably tough.
- 2:08:44Speaker 12: I had the toughest training camp I've ever had in
- 2:08:46Speaker 12: my entire career of playing football.
- 2:08:48Speaker 3: Bro.
- 2:08:49Speaker 12: Like we were doing more live tackling this year than
- 2:08:52Speaker 12: I've ever done out of all my other previous non
- 2:08:55Speaker 12: training camps.
- 2:08:56Speaker 6: And yeah, and you're ten, KB, he ain't like a
- 2:08:59Speaker 6: son of them.
- 2:08:59Speaker 5: Y K is trying to be a leader, but low Ki,
- 2:09:01Speaker 5: he's getting with a respective He'll be like yo, there's
- 2:09:03Speaker 5: some bullshit.
- 2:09:05Speaker 6: This year.
- 2:09:06Speaker 12: There weren't conversations being had life like what are we
- 2:09:10Speaker 12: doing here? Yeah, but it was definitely needed though, Bro.
- 2:09:14Speaker 12: But like I mean, he just has this certain mentality.
- 2:09:17Speaker 12: Like a lot of times, Bro, offensive coaches are kind
- 2:09:20Speaker 12: of like real cool, chill guys. He has a defensive
- 2:09:24Speaker 12: mentality when it comes to offense. Bro, He's trying to
- 2:09:27Speaker 12: destroy people. Like his first meeting that he had with us,
- 2:09:31Speaker 12: he basically got in front of team and said, it
- 2:09:33Speaker 12: shouldn't be a question about did we win the game,
- 2:09:36Speaker 12: It should be how much did we win by This
- 2:09:38Speaker 12: guy's trying to put a forty points on teams game
- 2:09:40Speaker 12: in and game mine. I just think that that mentality
- 2:09:43Speaker 12: ViOS well, especially with myself being on defense. But I mean,
- 2:09:47Speaker 12: obviously his play calling is like that, but just I
- 2:09:51Speaker 12: think just the way he connects with the team, he
- 2:09:53Speaker 12: connects with the players. He's he's a players coach in
- 2:09:56Speaker 12: my opinion. He meets with the leadership now. But he's
- 2:09:59Speaker 12: been great, Bro, Like I said, but on the defensive side, obviously,
- 2:10:03Speaker 12: Dennis Allen's been calling players for a long time. It
- 2:10:06Speaker 12: was in New Orleans and all that good stuff and
- 2:10:08Speaker 12: al Harris is one of my favorite coaches on the staff.
- 2:10:10Speaker 12: I mean, this guy, he obviously played fifteen years. All
- 2:10:13Speaker 12: he talks about is taking the ball away. I mean
- 2:10:15Speaker 12: literally every single day. We got to get foreign interceptions
- 2:10:17Speaker 12: in practice a day. If we don't get four in
- 2:10:19Speaker 12: a sessions, we don't push into practice like that. That
- 2:10:22Speaker 12: accountability that we're just trying to to have here, that
- 2:10:25Speaker 12: like I said, the past previous years, man, it just
- 2:10:27Speaker 12: really hasn't been there, you know what I mean, Like
- 2:10:30Speaker 12: that's I mean, we haven't really won a lot of
- 2:10:32Speaker 12: games here. Obviously, I was here last year five and twelve,
- 2:10:35Speaker 12: lost ten straight.
- 2:10:36Speaker 1: The accountability just wasn't there.
- 2:10:38Speaker 12: Bro So I think Ben Jonson's just kind of bought
- 2:10:40Speaker 12: that level to this team, to this organization for show.
- 2:10:43Speaker 5: So you would say that Ben's Ben's more of like
- 2:10:45Speaker 5: a twenty eighteen Mike Rabel as far as like coming in,
- 2:10:49Speaker 5: let's we got to reshift our eyes on the culture
- 2:10:51Speaker 5: and how it's going to change a little bit.
- 2:10:53Speaker 12: Yeah, I would definitely compare it like that, But I
- 2:10:55Speaker 12: mean Rabel's a lot more like you know, Rabel's an
- 2:10:58Speaker 12: asshole in the way, you know what I mean, He
- 2:10:59Speaker 12: was a lot more intense when it came to that,
- 2:11:01Speaker 12: I think Ben is just more like the shit we
- 2:11:04Speaker 12: was doing last year just not going down here, you
- 2:11:06Speaker 12: know what I mean, like from the players, and like
- 2:11:09Speaker 12: I said, I just think that he was came in understanding, like,
- 2:11:12Speaker 12: but it's the toughest division of football. Obviously the NFC
- 2:11:14Speaker 12: West is really good, but he said, this is the
- 2:11:17Speaker 12: toughest division in football, So we got to make sure
- 2:11:19Speaker 12: that every single thing we're doing, every single day is
- 2:11:21Speaker 12: being tough. Like I said, the practices was crazy. Yeah,
- 2:11:26Speaker 12: I mean he's just a great coach. I think he's
- 2:11:28Speaker 12: the perfect guy for the city.
- 2:11:29Speaker 5: So when you're sitting there and you're having these live
- 2:11:32Speaker 5: tackling drills, you're in the middle of camp, you understand
- 2:11:34Speaker 5: that Ben Johnson is obviously a creative genius when it
- 2:11:37Speaker 5: comes to the offensive side of the ball. But you
- 2:11:39Speaker 5: have this intense camp. You're sitting there with a couple
- 2:11:42Speaker 5: guys been like, Yo, this is I'm in your tent.
- 2:11:44Speaker 5: I can't be hitting like this. I did a couple
- 2:11:46Speaker 5: of days off. Then you start the season zero and two.
- 2:11:49Speaker 5: Clearly there's going to be the conversation either internally or
- 2:11:52Speaker 5: externally with a couple of people where we're like, hey,
- 2:11:54Speaker 5: is this like, what are we really doing here? And
- 2:11:56Speaker 5: then you guys make a massive turnaround at what point
- 2:11:59Speaker 5: in the season, And do you think the whole team
- 2:12:01Speaker 5: was like, Oh, this guy is legit, dude, who's gonna
- 2:12:04Speaker 5: be a head coach for a very long time.
- 2:12:08Speaker 12: I feel like, honestly, just being real, I felt like
- 2:12:09Speaker 12: that beforehand, just because of being with Rabes.
- 2:12:12Speaker 1: I kind of just sensed like the same type of stuff.
- 2:12:14Speaker 12: I'm like, even though we weren't that good obviously we
- 2:12:17Speaker 12: started out in season zero and two, I still felt
- 2:12:19Speaker 12: that it was a way he was gonna get things
- 2:12:21Speaker 12: turned around. I just kind of had to believe. But
- 2:12:22Speaker 12: I would say just during the year. I don't know, Bro,
- 2:12:26Speaker 12: It's kind of hard to pinpoint at exact time.
- 2:12:29Speaker 1: It's got to be.
- 2:12:29Speaker 6: It's got to be the time where you went from
- 2:12:32Speaker 6: doing his chant the first couple wins you're kayak were
- 2:12:35Speaker 6: doing the chant to where you're you're coming in the
- 2:12:37Speaker 6: locker room You're like, we can't wait to hit this
- 2:12:39Speaker 6: chant now.
- 2:12:41Speaker 12: I'm gonna keep it real, bro. And I've said this
- 2:12:43Speaker 12: before though, that chant the first time.
- 2:12:45Speaker 1: We did it, it was one of them joints, like
- 2:12:47Speaker 1: you're kind of looking around the locker room line. I
- 2:12:49Speaker 1: don't know, boys, like.
- 2:12:52Speaker 12: It's kind of corny, yeah, but just being real, like
- 2:12:56Speaker 12: you know, because he's like everybody, huddle up, bring it up,
- 2:12:58Speaker 12: you guys. Like I think it was at the preseason game.
- 2:13:00Speaker 12: He's like, all right, repeat that to me. We're gonna
- 2:13:02Speaker 12: say this. I've been saying this for a long time.
- 2:13:04Speaker 12: It's like, okay, like we're about to say it's like
- 2:13:06Speaker 12: good better best, and we're like good, better best, and
- 2:13:09Speaker 12: you're kind of just looking around. It's like what everybody
- 2:13:10Speaker 12: kind of looking around, like looking at each other, like hey,
- 2:13:13Speaker 12: you're gonna say this loud this or you kind of
- 2:13:15Speaker 12: sitting under your breath a little bit. But like you said,
- 2:13:17Speaker 12: it's one of those joints, like after we start to win,
- 2:13:19Speaker 12: it's like now it's our rallying. Probably guys are coming
- 2:13:21Speaker 12: in too excited. Ben is bro Ben is a mad man.
- 2:13:25Speaker 12: So Ben is one of those guys that during the
- 2:13:27Speaker 12: game he has no emotion. So, like I said, the
- 2:13:31Speaker 12: complete opposite from like Various, Verious was always super animated.
- 2:13:34Speaker 12: He's always coming up to the sideline, going to the bench.
- 2:13:37Speaker 12: The linebackers, the dB, the old line coaching guys up.
- 2:13:40Speaker 12: Ben's complete opposite. You're probably not gonna hear or see
- 2:13:42Speaker 12: Ben on the sideline. He's gonna be pacing back and
- 2:13:44Speaker 12: forth when when Caleb drops a don for a touchdown,
- 2:13:48Speaker 12: no emotion. He finch gets the turnovers, no emotion. I'm tobody.
- 2:13:52Speaker 1: You don't hear nothing.
- 2:13:53Speaker 12: And it's always I don't care if we're winning by
- 2:13:56Speaker 12: thirty or we're losing by thirty. He has no emotion either.
- 2:13:59Speaker 12: You're gonna see he's gonna look pissed off. The whole
- 2:14:00Speaker 12: entire game doesn't matter. So he doesn't really show any
- 2:14:03Speaker 12: emotion to We get into the locker room and obviously
- 2:14:06Speaker 12: we just won the game. He lets out a huge screen,
- 2:14:09Speaker 12: might take his shirt off, all that other stuff. But
- 2:14:11Speaker 12: it's just kind of funny, just like he's so always
- 2:14:13Speaker 12: locked in, so intensified on like because I said, he
- 2:14:16Speaker 12: literally wants to score every drive. If he doesn't score
- 2:14:19Speaker 12: on the drive, he's pissed off, you know what I mean,
- 2:14:21Speaker 12: Like he just had this pissed off look about itself.
- 2:14:23Speaker 1: But nah, it's pretty funny. He's a great coach.
- 2:14:26Speaker 6: That's awesome.
- 2:14:27Speaker 5: I do love that too, just the first time coming
- 2:14:29Speaker 5: up and be like no better best Rood was like,
- 2:14:31Speaker 5: what the fuck? And then when you start winning, You're like,
- 2:14:35Speaker 5: this is this is the movie reminds me that tits out.
- 2:14:38Speaker 6: For the boys, tits out for the boys.
- 2:14:41Speaker 1: Good.
- 2:14:42Speaker 5: Yeah, it's awesome to see Ben Johnson as far as
- 2:14:44Speaker 5: like Caleb goes. Clearly the guy's got incredible talent. How like,
- 2:14:49Speaker 5: how have you evaluated just from sitting back and being like,
- 2:14:52Speaker 5: let's just see how this kid's developed throughout this season
- 2:14:55Speaker 5: and being able to watch him last season his rookie year, Like,
- 2:14:57Speaker 5: what is the biggest jump that you've seen Caleb make
- 2:15:00Speaker 5: in these last two years with him?
- 2:15:02Speaker 12: I think it's just the simple stuff, the simple plays.
- 2:15:05Speaker 12: The last year, Bro, watching him as a rookie, I'm
- 2:15:07Speaker 12: looking at this guy every single day. Bro, he was
- 2:15:09Speaker 12: making throws that I'm like, only him and maybe prim
- 2:15:12Speaker 12: Aaron Rodgers can make, Bro, and obviously probably pro Matthew Stafford,
- 2:15:15Speaker 12: but he's in that realm of like arm talent throwing
- 2:15:19Speaker 12: on the run. But I think he's probably the most
- 2:15:21Speaker 12: accurate quarterback on the run in the league. And I
- 2:15:23Speaker 12: think that's without question just doing special stuff but I think,
- 2:15:28Speaker 12: you know, his rookie year and obviously he showed it
- 2:15:31Speaker 12: at USC, but like he was always playing off script,
- 2:15:34Speaker 12: you know what I mean. So it was sometimes he
- 2:15:35Speaker 12: was always big play hunting, whereas he might have an
- 2:15:38Speaker 12: easy check down right here, but he's looking to get
- 2:15:40Speaker 12: that big play. Whatever was his first read of, like
- 2:15:42Speaker 12: the quarterbacks that this play is being put in to
- 2:15:44Speaker 12: throw it to this guy vertically or whatever, and it
- 2:15:48Speaker 12: might not be there, and so the check that will
- 2:15:50Speaker 12: be wild.
- 2:15:51Speaker 1: But he's still looking for the big plays.
- 2:15:52Speaker 12: And I think a lot of times he was either
- 2:15:54Speaker 12: leading to sacks or you know, r O Salon obviously
- 2:15:58Speaker 12: wasn't blocking very well last year and led the league
- 2:16:01Speaker 12: and sacks and stuff like that, so it's the easy
- 2:16:03Speaker 12: stuff this year. So I think Ben coming in basically
- 2:16:06Speaker 12: tearing everything down to the studs, the footwork, the progressions, everything,
- 2:16:11Speaker 12: and Ben was on them hard, especially the beginning of
- 2:16:13Speaker 12: the season in the OTA's I mean, when you talk
- 2:16:16Speaker 12: about restarting plays throughout practice because of a receiver's alignment
- 2:16:21Speaker 12: was off by a half a yard or something like that,
- 2:16:24Speaker 12: or the cadence was off like it was, it was tough.
- 2:16:28Speaker 12: It was like, oh man, like I don't know, but
- 2:16:29Speaker 12: he was tearing everything down, kind of reteaching them everything.
- 2:16:32Speaker 12: And man, he's took a huge step. The big plays,
- 2:16:35Speaker 12: the exposive plays, the special plays, that's always.
- 2:16:38Speaker 1: Going to be there because that's just who Caleb is.
- 2:16:40Speaker 12: But I think it's the little things, being able to
- 2:16:42Speaker 12: just check the ball down, trusting this.
- 2:16:44Speaker 1: I mean, we got some talented receiver. Bro.
- 2:16:46Speaker 12: I mean it's rooky tight end Coast Loveland, Michigan guy. Bro,
- 2:16:49Speaker 12: he's like that, Yeah, Michigan got for sure.
- 2:16:51Speaker 1: He is like that.
- 2:16:52Speaker 12: Like, I think he's gonna be a future All Pro
- 2:16:55Speaker 12: very soon obviously when Kittle goes of the rings of
- 2:16:58Speaker 12: the NFC. But is gonna be all pro for sure.
- 2:17:01Speaker 12: But but no, I mean Caleb a special player.
- 2:17:03Speaker 1: Bro.
- 2:17:03Speaker 12: I think he just broke the season. See the single
- 2:17:06Speaker 12: season record passing record and the Bears just yesterday we're
- 2:17:09Speaker 12: talking to year two. I think you only do like
- 2:17:11Speaker 12: six seven interceptions this year. I mean the guy, he's
- 2:17:14Speaker 12: he's has incredible talent. He's only gonna get continued to
- 2:17:16Speaker 12: get better.
- 2:17:17Speaker 6: Man virus man. Yeah, when you obviously, like recently, I
- 2:17:21Speaker 6: feel like Caleb and Coach Johnson's kind of reflecting on
- 2:17:24Speaker 6: how their relationships grow because they felt Cale thought he
- 2:17:26Speaker 6: didn't really messle him. Were you having the same feeling,
- 2:17:28Speaker 6: like trying to tell you, man, this dude coaching right
- 2:17:30Speaker 6: damn hard?
- 2:17:32Speaker 1: Bro, Listen, I'm telling you ot as is.
- 2:17:35Speaker 6: This in meetings too? Like you know how Rabe like
- 2:17:37Speaker 6: once you're in the room with Ray, like nobody's off limits.
- 2:17:39Speaker 5: Except for Derrick Henry and honestly you KB like he
- 2:17:43Speaker 5: was always he was always Yeah, he was always on
- 2:17:45Speaker 5: his knee.
- 2:17:47Speaker 6: He yes, that's what That's a lot.
- 2:17:51Speaker 1: Bro.
- 2:17:51Speaker 6: When I'm like mocking coach Raybell, I'm doing the talents
- 2:17:54Speaker 6: with right KB. Yeah, the right KB.
- 2:17:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:17:58Speaker 12: Sounding want to say we had a bet one time,
- 2:18:00Speaker 12: was like I bet Brave's gonna say my name like
- 2:18:02Speaker 12: two or three times.
- 2:18:02Speaker 1: And it's one meeting. It was so funny, Bro thought
- 2:18:05Speaker 1: that it was.
- 2:18:05Speaker 6: It was literally seven and a half.
- 2:18:07Speaker 1: It was crazy.
- 2:18:08Speaker 6: And he hits the over. Bro, how many times you
- 2:18:10Speaker 6: gonna mentioned KB in this meeting?
- 2:18:12Speaker 5: Meetings twenty five thirty minutes long and it's like, hey,
- 2:18:15Speaker 5: KB got hit ten times.
- 2:18:16Speaker 1: This is gonna be sitting bad, Like, Bro, I don't
- 2:18:18Speaker 1: know why he keeps calling my name.
- 2:18:21Speaker 5: That's exactly why he did it too.
- 2:18:23Speaker 12: No, but it's funny, Like, no, Ben's not like that
- 2:18:25Speaker 12: as far as calling him out aggressively. He's done it
- 2:18:28Speaker 12: a couple of times represent the team and or even
- 2:18:30Speaker 12: at the practice once.
- 2:18:31Speaker 1: But no, it's literally like.
- 2:18:33Speaker 12: He's just so anal about the little small details because
- 2:18:37Speaker 12: they all matter, you know what I mean. Like, like
- 2:18:39Speaker 12: I said, it's literally how he gets the calls in
- 2:18:41Speaker 12: the huddle, how he comes out of the huddle, how
- 2:18:44Speaker 12: the receivers are getting lined up. Like he's he has
- 2:18:46Speaker 12: no issues and no hesitant to restart an entire period plays.
- 2:18:53Speaker 12: He's not like the overbearing you know, we all know Raves,
- 2:18:56Speaker 12: Like Raves is gonna be shit talking the entire practice.
- 2:19:00Speaker 1: We know that that's just kind of who he is.
- 2:19:02Speaker 12: He's gonna be coaching every single position, talking the whole
- 2:19:04Speaker 12: pract You're gonna hear his voice all over the practice field.
- 2:19:07Speaker 1: Ben's not like that.
- 2:19:08Speaker 12: But you would hear that whistle be blown real quick,
- 2:19:11Speaker 12: get back in the huddle, start the huddle over. And
- 2:19:13Speaker 12: like I said, OTAs was like, oh shit, like he
- 2:19:16Speaker 12: was on Caleb's ass.
- 2:19:17Speaker 1: Bro. No, Lie, That's what I'm saying. I'm like, I
- 2:19:19Speaker 1: don't know how this shit gonna go, y'all.
- 2:19:21Speaker 12: Boys, But like I said, I really think it was
- 2:19:23Speaker 12: because of he was really trying to reteach him everything
- 2:19:26Speaker 12: as far as his system and Ben's system is not
- 2:19:29Speaker 12: something easier to learn, because I don't think it was
- 2:19:31Speaker 12: all Caleb messing up. It was a receiver. It's not
- 2:19:33Speaker 12: getting lined up right. He was on everybody and he
- 2:19:36Speaker 12: was streaming mfing people. But I think he was purposely
- 2:19:39Speaker 12: doing that early in the OTA is to kind of
- 2:19:41Speaker 12: see basically put throwing everything out the wall, see what
- 2:19:44Speaker 12: everybody can be able to handle. And I think he's
- 2:19:47Speaker 12: dialeded back probably a little bit and obviously gotten better
- 2:19:49Speaker 12: throughout the year, just adding more stuff. But I think
- 2:19:52Speaker 12: it was well needed because his scheme, in my opinion,
- 2:19:55Speaker 12: is kind of unstoppable when everybody's EXEQ.
- 2:19:57Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:19:58Speaker 5: Yeah, it's awesome. It's awesome to see like the training camp,
- 2:20:01Speaker 5: all the press conferences where it's clear that there's something
- 2:20:03Speaker 5: going on between Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson and then
- 2:20:07Speaker 5: going to this this last game, you guys said, Kaylen
- 2:20:09Speaker 5: Williams is walking to the tunnel with a Ben Johnson
- 2:20:11Speaker 5: jersey on?
- 2:20:12Speaker 1: Which is which is?
- 2:20:13Speaker 5: Which is? Pretty badass. I just got to hand it
- 2:20:15Speaker 5: a note. This is from Ryan Poles correct the GM
- 2:20:17Speaker 5: saying that you have a hard out. So we got
- 2:20:19Speaker 5: to get to the last question, which is the bud
- 2:20:21Speaker 5: light question. Would you have to ask him?
- 2:20:22Speaker 6: Well, yes, I'd be I'd be happy to KB. I
- 2:20:24Speaker 6: think he's been part of this before. But KB, we
- 2:20:26Speaker 6: know how anybody would do anything for a nigh school
- 2:20:28Speaker 6: bud light. What is something that Kevin Byrd would do
- 2:20:30Speaker 6: anything for?
- 2:20:32Speaker 1: What would I do anything for? Ah Man? Anything?
- 2:20:36Speaker 6: Anything?
- 2:20:37Speaker 5: I can't say family, Okay.
- 2:20:40Speaker 12: Uh no, super Bowl, Bro, Honestly I haven't. I've accomplished
- 2:20:45Speaker 12: a lot in my football playing career, from all Pros,
- 2:20:48Speaker 12: the Pro Bowls and all that good stuff. We played
- 2:20:51Speaker 12: in every round of the playoffs. Just having got to
- 2:20:54Speaker 12: the super Bowl and won it. What I would do
- 2:20:56Speaker 12: for that?
- 2:20:58Speaker 1: Who?
- 2:20:59Speaker 12: Yeah, oh Man, just putting this out there. This is
- 2:21:03Speaker 12: no homo, no pall stuff. I said we were going
- 2:21:05Speaker 12: to take that, So I don't want to put that
- 2:21:07Speaker 12: out there, but I would do a lot.
- 2:21:10Speaker 1: Bro. I would say if we win a super Bow.
- 2:21:16Speaker 12: Basically I will almost end if I can get a
- 2:21:18Speaker 12: super Bowl, Bro, I think ten years. You know what
- 2:21:21Speaker 12: I mean, like, if there was a choice between saying, hey,
- 2:21:25Speaker 12: either going to extend your career extra five years or
- 2:21:27Speaker 12: win a super Bowl this year and retire, I'll take
- 2:21:30Speaker 12: the super Bowl.
- 2:21:31Speaker 6: I love that. Could you imagine it's that if Chicago
- 2:21:34Speaker 6: wins the Super Bowl, that city him KB being a
- 2:21:38Speaker 6: pro bowler, like the juice, yeah around the Chicago Bears.
- 2:21:42Speaker 5: Might be beautiful. Be something to see you win the
- 2:21:46Speaker 5: super Bowl. Those fingernails are painted for the parade, right.
- 2:21:50Speaker 12: Hell yeah, Hell yeah, I win a super Bowl. Hell yeah,
- 2:21:53Speaker 12: that's how I want to have to pay for another
- 2:21:55Speaker 12: dinner in this city.
- 2:21:56Speaker 1: So I'll take that for sure.
- 2:21:57Speaker 6: We'll have to get the nail tech out there in
- 2:21:59Speaker 6: Chicago and the parade happens. Yeah, are you doing?
- 2:22:02Speaker 1: Are you?
- 2:22:02Speaker 5: Are you still in You still got a place in Nashville.
- 2:22:05Speaker 5: You're still Nashville living, still.
- 2:22:07Speaker 1: Right the street from you, bro I'm not too far
- 2:22:08Speaker 1: from you.
- 2:22:09Speaker 5: Come on now, all right, Hey, we'll get we'll get
- 2:22:11Speaker 5: a little something going to the offices, and brother, we
- 2:22:13Speaker 5: appreciate you. Get right, afloss Kevin bar.
- 2:22:17Speaker 1: Third time on the show, bro Le's make it for it?
- 2:22:19Speaker 5: Yeah, well, hey, three times in the show. Three Pro
- 2:22:22Speaker 5: Bowls clearly you know what the expectation is to get
- 2:22:24Speaker 5: you on the show a fourth time.
- 2:22:25Speaker 6: Absolutely, bro, and congratulations on another Pro Bowl obviously playoff
- 2:22:29Speaker 6: appearance as well. But shout out to you man. It
- 2:22:31Speaker 6: was watching that pick happen yesterday. I'm just sitting there
