- 1:41Speaker 5: these government officials to have just scimmed us, made millions
- 1:47Speaker 5: off of us or we we We're gonna see one
- 1:49Speaker 5: government official and he handcuffs and you know, taking away
- 1:54Speaker 5: because I'm running out of time in my life.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Oh, you got plenty. I have plenty of time. You're
- 1:58Speaker 1: in Connecticut, you got plenty of Now. That's one of
- 2:01Speaker 1: the arguments against cam BONDI that not enough was happening.
- 2:04Speaker 2: But hopefully you know between the Clintons.
- 2:08Speaker 1: And hey, you live in Connecticut. How many how many
- 2:11Speaker 1: government officials have you had go to jail? You've had
- 2:13Speaker 1: like four governors go to jail. Every mayor of Bridgeport
- 2:16Speaker 1: has gone to jail. How many Waterbury mayors? Have gone
- 2:18Speaker 1: to jail.
- 2:20Speaker 5: Well was Mark good? The good news is a good
- 2:23Speaker 5: friend of Minan? Aaron Stewart is running?
- 2:26Speaker 2: Who?
- 2:27Speaker 5: Republican? Aaron Stewart? Who Aaron Stewart?
- 2:33Speaker 1: Darren Stewart.
- 2:36Speaker 5: Yes, she's running for governor here he's a Republican.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Well, I know you got ned Lamont running for a
- 2:43Speaker 1: third term. You got a bunch of Republicans. There's a
- 2:46Speaker 1: primary Republican primary. It's most likely Ryan Fozzio will get
- 2:49Speaker 1: the nomination. He's the big marriage to.
- 2:52Speaker 5: Give him anyway.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Yeah, you keep thinking that.
- 2:55Speaker 5: I'm just frustrated that, you know, like, what's your name?
- 2:59Speaker 2: Home over there?
- 3:01Speaker 5: If they have all this with her making forty million
- 3:05Speaker 5: or whatever, why is.
- 3:06Speaker 1: It all right? Give me time? You got a new
- 3:08Speaker 1: you got a new attorney general. You got Todd Blanche
- 3:11Speaker 1: he'll get more done than BONDI will. Where are you
- 3:13Speaker 1: in Connecticut?
- 3:15Speaker 3: Uh?
- 3:16Speaker 5: It's outside of Hartford.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Oh okay, no wonder you're sound in a million miles away.
- 3:20Speaker 1: But thanks for calling. Glad to have our Hertford listeners.
- 3:23Speaker 1: We had a lot of people in Hartford. Let's go
- 3:25Speaker 1: to Mike in Florida. Mike, how you doing?
- 3:28Speaker 2: Good morning, Mark, Mike people forget that LBJ. He made
- 3:32Speaker 2: the press talk to him while he was, let's say,
- 3:34Speaker 2: on the toilet.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, he would actually fight. You'd come
- 3:39Speaker 1: into the bathroom, he'd be sitting on the toilet talking
- 3:42Speaker 1: to you.
- 3:43Speaker 2: That's right. I have a question for you though about
- 3:47Speaker 2: High Society was on recently and the movie favorite scene
- 3:50Speaker 2: is yeah, the movie a couple of weeks ago. Anyway,
- 3:53Speaker 2: the scene in there where Sinatra and Cosby are singing
- 3:56Speaker 2: well did he ever? Is one of my favorite scenes ever.
- 3:58Speaker 2: I love it. Did sat like Cosby and vice versa
- 4:01Speaker 2: to Cosby?
- 4:02Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, no, no, Big Bing Crosby was his
- 4:05Speaker 1: idol when he was a young guy. He didn't he
- 4:06Speaker 1: didn't want to sing like him. He wasn't a musical idol,
- 4:09Speaker 1: but he wanted to copy Crosby's career and Crosby's life.
- 4:13Speaker 1: And you know his tradition that you always sleep with
- 4:16Speaker 1: your leading lady, and Sinatra on every film slept with
- 4:20Speaker 1: the co star except one film, and that was High Society.
- 4:24Speaker 1: He never slept with Grace Kelly because he was too
- 4:26Speaker 1: intimidated in front of Ben, in front of Bing Crosby.
- 4:30Speaker 1: He didn't want to strike out, so he didn't even try.
- 4:33Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 4:35Speaker 1: So Grace Kelly was the one that got away, but
- 4:38Speaker 1: not for long. Later on in life, he was able
- 4:41Speaker 1: to make up for that with her.
- 4:44Speaker 2: And he substituted her with the heap of gardener, so
- 4:46Speaker 2: not a bad replacement.
- 4:47Speaker 1: But he eventually got Grace Kelly, although it was years later,
- 4:49Speaker 1: and you know, you know he visited Monte Carlo. Every
- 4:52Speaker 1: sommer so better. All right, thanks for calling, Mike, always
- 4:57Speaker 1: a great call. Let's go to Bob and Brooklyn. Bob,
- 5:00Speaker 1: how you doing, hey, Mike, how you doing good?
- 5:05Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 5:05Speaker 3: I just want to say, I just want to say
- 5:09Speaker 3: too many people don't realize that the Iranians do not
- 5:12Speaker 3: need a nuclear bomb to hurt it. Okay, there's such
- 5:15Speaker 3: a thing as a dirty bomb, which I know the
- 5:18Speaker 3: top military guys know, and all they do is pack
- 5:21Speaker 3: the uranium into to those called it's he which way
- 5:24Speaker 3: the wind is blown across.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Well, that's the reason you want to get rid of
- 5:26Speaker 1: all that material. Although the dirty bomb threat has always
- 5:29Speaker 1: been a threat that never ever, ever ever materializes for
- 5:32Speaker 1: a lot of reasons. It's a tough it's a tough
- 5:35Speaker 1: thing to pull off. The dirty bomb. You have to again,
- 5:39Speaker 1: we've been worrying about this dirty bomb for forty five years,
- 5:45Speaker 1: fifty years. The problem is, you got to know how
- 5:47Speaker 1: to handle the nuclear material. You got to know how
- 5:50Speaker 1: to make it into a dirty bomb, you got to
- 5:52Speaker 1: know how to transport it. There's been a few attempts,
- 5:55Speaker 1: but what usually happens is a primitive terrorist ends up
- 5:59Speaker 1: killing himself with the nuclear material, not handling it property,
- 6:02Speaker 1: not storing it properly.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Uh.
- 6:05Speaker 1: And if you had a dirty bomb, it really could
- 6:08Speaker 1: you do about a block or two And that's about it.
- 6:10Speaker 1: With a dirty bomb, you would if you did it
- 6:12Speaker 1: inside someway. I shouldn't be saying all this, but if
- 6:15Speaker 1: you did it inside like in Grand Central Station, you
- 6:17Speaker 1: could contaminate the terminal for years. But then even if
- 6:22Speaker 1: you did, they just simply open up another terminal somewhere.
- 6:25Speaker 1: The train tracks are underground, they would be protected. But
- 6:29Speaker 1: let's go to Mike in the Bronx. Mike, how you
- 6:31Speaker 1: doing You're morning.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Mike, Mark to talk to you. I just want going
- 6:36Speaker 4: to point out a mistake that you made earlier when
- 6:38Speaker 4: you talked about the rescue attempt in Iran. Yeah, that
- 6:42Speaker 4: one you combined with the Somalia mo Woudushu. Well, that
- 6:45Speaker 4: was where the Americans would drag through the marketplace in Turan.
- 6:48Speaker 4: We lost all eight.
- 6:52Speaker 1: You may be right, you may be right, you're right.
- 6:53Speaker 1: It was a Mogdushia where they dragged us through the
- 6:56Speaker 1: But now what happened in Roun, I'm trying to remember.
- 6:58Speaker 1: We lost the helicopters. We lost those the.
- 7:00Speaker 4: Helicopters to a resting plane, and we lost eight American soldiers.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a different era, terrible backround.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Two different Democratic Clintons, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, good point, thanks for calling. Yeah, we've
- 7:15Speaker 1: had a lot of times where through the years we've
- 7:18Speaker 1: just abandoned stuff. We've lost people in Somalia, we've lost
- 7:21Speaker 1: people here, and you look back at Afghanistan. It looks
- 7:24Speaker 1: even stupider now that when we pulled out of Afghanistan,
- 7:31Speaker 1: we left everything there, like a billion dollars worth of hardware, airplanes,
- 7:34Speaker 1: fighter jets, everything. We just left it all there, thanks
- 7:38Speaker 1: to the General Millie, who was one of the worst
- 7:40Speaker 1: generals ever, the awful, awful General Millie and he actually
- 7:45Speaker 1: Trump Ont had it out with Millie. He said, why
- 7:46Speaker 1: would you leave all this stuff there, and you're talking
- 7:49Speaker 1: about like a seventy five million dollar fighter jet. And
- 7:54Speaker 1: Millie actually tried to explain to him it's cheaper to
- 7:56Speaker 1: leave it there than to try to take it out.
- 7:59Speaker 1: And Trump will tell you, he said, this is the
- 8:02Speaker 1: dumbest thing I ever heard of. General say, why wouldn't
- 8:04Speaker 1: it be cheaper to put half a tank of gas
- 8:06Speaker 1: in there and just fly it out of it and
- 8:10Speaker 1: keep it. And even if you're going to be stupid
- 8:13Speaker 1: enough to leave this stuff there, you got to blow
- 8:15Speaker 1: it up. As we were talking about the rescue operation
- 8:18Speaker 1: this weekend in Iran, we lost two planes, two massive
- 8:22Speaker 1: cargo planes and two rescue helicopters. They were disabled, they
- 8:27Speaker 1: were on the ground, so we had to go back
- 8:29Speaker 1: and blow them up so the enemy doesn't get them
- 8:31Speaker 1: and can't learn anything from the technology or use them.
- 8:34Speaker 1: So we had to blow up our own stuff. We
- 8:36Speaker 1: didn't do that. If you're going to leave in Afghanistan,
- 8:39Speaker 1: at least blow it up. All that Afghanistan planes, weaponry
- 8:43Speaker 1: all fell into enemy hands and may have been used
- 8:46Speaker 1: against us in the past couple of weeks in Iran. Hey,
- 8:50Speaker 1: when we come back, Actually we had no guests when
- 8:51Speaker 1: we come back. It was Miranda Divine. She had to cancel.
- 8:54Speaker 1: She'll be with us later in the week, but coming
- 8:56Speaker 1: up next to it. We got a lot to talk about
- 8:58Speaker 1: and we'll take some calls. Just ahead on seven to
- 9:00Speaker 1: ten WR. Let's get the latest news. Here's Larry Kowski.
