- 0:54Speaker 4: had a dream that the kissed a man you cheated
- 0:56Speaker 4: on me. So welcome back to where the bad is.
- 1:13Speaker 4: You nite unite together on Patriot Fuck yeah we do.
- 1:19Speaker 4: How do you feel I don't know. Why do I
- 1:21Speaker 4: feel like oh, let's try something.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Okay, Actually, how do I actually anal?
- 1:28Speaker 4: Not exactly where I was headed.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I'll let you land and then we'll go to my
- 1:32Speaker 1: how I feel. I'll revisit my bit after.
- 1:34Speaker 4: Do you actually care how I feel? Yeah? Well, I
- 1:36Speaker 4: wouldn't ask if I don't know if you're just asking
- 1:38Speaker 4: out of like a casualty. Casualty and casualties like we
- 1:42Speaker 4: know how like you know, when you're having a conversation
- 1:46Speaker 4: with somebody, say enough the casualties.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Oh no, I was asking because we have a lot
- 1:50Speaker 2: going on at the moment.
- 1:50Speaker 1: We got a new studio, you've moved states, your best
- 1:54Speaker 1: friends really far away, and we haven't done anal.
- 1:59Speaker 4: The last I actually could live without.
- 2:02Speaker 2: I could, I could live without whatever. But how are
- 2:05Speaker 2: you going? Yeah, how dare you assume that I would.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Just ask to did a dream? I don't know what
- 2:13Speaker 4: you know? You could have been, you could have you.
- 2:15Speaker 4: I wouldn't be surprised if I started to say how
- 2:17Speaker 4: I feel and then you were like, Jake, I don't
- 2:19Speaker 4: actually care, like that was that was just being That's
- 2:22Speaker 4: not something I would say, Jake. But Okay, I had
- 2:29Speaker 4: a dream. This is actually crazy. I had a dream
- 2:31Speaker 4: that kissed a man you cheated on me. So I
- 2:38Speaker 4: had a dream. So do you ever wake up. Let's
- 2:40Speaker 4: say it's around four point thirty five am, and then
- 2:45Speaker 4: maybe you do a week or something. You go back
- 2:46Speaker 4: to sleep and you'll you'll have like a good sleep in. Yeah,
- 2:49Speaker 4: but for that like next couple of hours, it's super
- 2:51Speaker 4: vivid dreams. Yeah, that happened to me. And I had
- 2:55Speaker 4: a dream that I kissed a man. Yeah, And in
- 2:57Speaker 4: my dream, I remember thinking like, oh, this is like
- 3:02Speaker 4: something that I genuinely want to try. And I really
- 3:05Speaker 4: didn't like it. And I remember thinking of my dream.
- 3:07Speaker 4: I remember I had just had I don't even know
- 3:09Speaker 4: who this man was. I remember having to said to
- 3:11Speaker 4: him like, look, I gave it a crack. I just
- 3:12Speaker 4: don't like it. And I was thinking like did I
- 3:15Speaker 4: just like experiment in my dream and I actually don't
- 3:18Speaker 4: like it? That's very healthy, Jake, do you know is
- 3:20Speaker 4: that wild? Yeah? I haven't told anyone about that dream yet.
- 3:23Speaker 2: I actually had a dream similar.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Really, yeah, let me land Yeah, yeah, it was heap similar.
- 3:30Speaker 1: So I had a dream that I went into JB
- 3:34Speaker 1: High Fire. I bought a new MacBook Pro because I
- 3:43Speaker 1: thought I wanted to go dream. It was actually a
- 3:45Speaker 1: really good dream, and I was froffing it. But then
- 3:48Speaker 1: I tried it and I didn't like it as much
- 3:50Speaker 1: as my old one.
- 3:53Speaker 4: This is the straightest dreammember about this. I actually I
- 3:59Speaker 4: was going I was going to tell you that I
- 4:01Speaker 4: read about we brought a new MacBook proache and that
- 4:04Speaker 4: we should get a new one. Yeah.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I try to, and it's assigned to stay with the old, trusty,
- 4:10Speaker 1: reliable ones.
- 4:10Speaker 4: We cashed up. I wouldn't mind it freshye, yeah, I agree.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Actually, our ones are what this is coming on. Yours
- 4:15Speaker 1: is four and a half years.
- 4:18Speaker 4: Wow, hold up, no, mine is going to be Mine
- 4:22Speaker 4: is pretty much the age of the relatables. Four years
- 4:25Speaker 4: nearly a whole long time.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Our MacBook pros are like our children.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Yours is only a couple of months newer. Yeah, so
- 4:31Speaker 4: yours is still about four years. Yeah, it's pretty well.
- 4:33Speaker 4: But mine's still Reliableay, I have had zero problems. Yeah,
- 4:37Speaker 4: apart from the fact that just like ever so slightly slower,
- 4:41Speaker 4: I can tell what it's just working.
- 4:43Speaker 5: You know, I can tell it's like it's kind of like,
- 4:47Speaker 5: I don't know, it's kind of like a smoker. That's
- 4:49Speaker 5: just it's kind of getting to that stage where it's
- 4:50Speaker 5: like the cigarettes are catching up to it and I'm like, you're.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Struggling a bit, a little bit left. Yeah, it's kind
- 4:58Speaker 4: of like, yeah, if my dad went on a long wall,
- 5:08Speaker 4: how I feel. I feel currently. My body's fighting a cold.
- 5:14Speaker 1: I'm hoping you don't give it to me. I'm hoping
- 5:17Speaker 1: I've got like a bit of air. Connie Chess, I
- 5:20Speaker 1: have realized after we record a couple of episodes, I
- 5:22Speaker 1: feel like I get a sore throaty, chesty bit and
- 5:24Speaker 1: I think I'm getting sick. But then it's like this
- 5:26Speaker 1: talking a lot just makes you a bit yeah, but
- 5:29Speaker 1: not complaining.
- 5:29Speaker 4: So but yeah, other than that, I feel quite good, pretty,
- 5:37Speaker 4: I want to say, getting low on the anxiety scale
- 5:42Speaker 4: of being here in life life being here. I think
- 5:45Speaker 4: moving has been good.
- 5:47Speaker 1: I think, yeah, you spoke on how Sydney was stressing
- 5:51Speaker 1: you out, and just like being in Sydney relatable. But
- 5:55Speaker 1: where you are now, it's so peaceful. Oh. I think
- 5:57Speaker 1: that's what it's like, the equivalent of like you're so
- 6:00Speaker 1: close to the Gold Coast, but it's almost like living
- 6:02Speaker 1: like in the country.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Yeah, heck, yeah, so cool. I think that's helping a lot. Yeah,
- 6:09Speaker 4: And yeah, what about you, how are you good? Question? Yeah?
- 6:15Speaker 4: Do you care?
- 6:16Speaker 1: Yea, yeah, Actually I feel like I feel good. I
- 6:22Speaker 1: definitely feel good. I've been feeling a little bit overwhelmed
- 6:27Speaker 1: just with like, I don't know, life just seems to
- 6:30Speaker 1: be going so quickly, and then I'm always thinking, I'll
- 6:34Speaker 1: just do this one thing and then I'll relax, and
- 6:37Speaker 1: then there's always one more thing, and there's another thing,
- 6:40Speaker 1: and then there's another thing, and then my relaxing even
- 6:42Speaker 1: though I do relax and I'm not complaining, like I
- 6:44Speaker 1: definitely relax enough. Yeah, but then there's always something in
- 6:47Speaker 1: my mind that's consuming my energy more than I thought
- 6:50Speaker 1: I was gonna get consumed by it, if that makes sense.
- 6:53Speaker 4: It's a good hear what you're saying. And I feel like,
- 6:56Speaker 4: I don't know, I feel like we're twenty what six
- 6:59Speaker 4: or you're a twenty six ship. Life has gone so quickly.
- 7:05Speaker 1: But we're going to have a kid's son, Yeah, lifet
- 7:08Speaker 1: it's something that you were going to have a kid
- 7:09Speaker 1: soon in the next five years, I dare say both
- 7:12Speaker 1: of us will have children.
- 7:13Speaker 4: That's a good point. Yeah, I came up with a name.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I came up with a good name. The other day.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Cassie didn't like it for a boy or girl. Sebastian.
- 7:23Speaker 4: I don't mind Sebastian. Yeah, she did. Elegant, Yeah, giving
- 7:26Speaker 4: elegant you know what I feel like? You know you
- 7:31Speaker 4: know where I got it from?
- 7:33Speaker 2: The hedgehog in the Hobbit the hedgehog gets sick.
- 7:38Speaker 4: His name is Sebastian. That's so funny.
- 7:40Speaker 1: I was like, that's a good name, which Cassie said, yes,
- 7:44Speaker 1: And I would never have told her.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Where I got that from. No, I don't mind the
- 7:49Speaker 4: name Sebastian. I like it too. Does Cassie like any
- 7:52Speaker 4: of your names?
- 7:52Speaker 2: But you just I don't think she likes my name. No,
- 7:56Speaker 2: we haven't landed on one yet.
- 7:57Speaker 4: Well, you guys do unique.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm heavily going down the unique. At least has
- 8:03Speaker 1: like her her, he has like a cool abbreviation. Okay,
- 8:08Speaker 1: like Jake, you've got nothing?
- 8:10Speaker 4: Nah?
- 8:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I want like.
- 8:11Speaker 1: I single, silly, I want like something goes from this
- 8:15Speaker 1: to that.
- 8:15Speaker 2: At least at the minute.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't. I don't mind a super long name.
- 8:20Speaker 4: The short nickname I.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Regon you'll get like a book boyfriend name in there
- 8:23Speaker 1: or somehow to be fair, really thinking about how to
- 8:26Speaker 1: do that?
- 8:26Speaker 4: Okay, Throne of glass Kale, okay, but but I think
- 8:32Speaker 4: of the cow from school. Same but it's not spelled
- 8:35Speaker 4: k A l E. It's spelled c h o a L.
- 8:39Speaker 4: That's c h a o L.
- 8:41Speaker 1: That'd be really hard for the kid though, like just
- 8:43Speaker 1: like because like everyone in schools like, oh, how do
- 8:45Speaker 1: you spell it?
- 8:45Speaker 2: And like you tell pounce kale? Yeah, kale spelled.
- 8:51Speaker 4: There's a Dorian.
- 8:53Speaker 2: I like Dorian.
- 8:53Speaker 4: I don't mind. I know a Dorian, but you get Dory,
- 8:56Speaker 4: which is a bit weird. Nah, no recording Dory, Yeah
- 9:00Speaker 4: to send you know, no one called him.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Imagine Dory.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Imagine a kid playing sport Dorian Dorry, Dory plus the
- 9:06Speaker 1: ball Dorry.
- 9:08Speaker 4: Yeah, no one's calling her Dorian Dorry about Nemo.
- 9:12Speaker 1: N It couldn't the name I wanted body, but one
- 9:16Speaker 1: of Cassie's old friends already has it, so I can't
- 9:18Speaker 1: have that old friends. Yeah, keyword, that's what That's what
- 9:22Speaker 1: I said to her. But apparently, like I don't know,
- 9:25Speaker 1: it makes her think of her, which is fair.
- 9:29Speaker 4: Imagine you name your kid you have a son of
- 9:31Speaker 4: your name him Body. And then every time Cassie says
- 9:34Speaker 4: the name Body, she thinks of this friend she hates.
- 9:37Speaker 4: I keep saying that to it.
- 9:38Speaker 2: You gotta like put two and two names together.
- 9:41Speaker 1: She keeps her in these names and we say like
- 9:42Speaker 1: Clark at the end of it, and it doesn't work.
- 9:45Speaker 4: See, here's the thing is, like I also think of
- 9:47Speaker 4: names I like, but I never say Craig at the
- 9:49Speaker 4: end of it or Commings at the end of it,
- 9:51Speaker 4: Like I never.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Think body Clark. I can that sound sick? I think
- 9:55Speaker 1: I actually quite like Body Clark is so strong.
- 9:57Speaker 4: And Cassie doesn't like it. I just doesn't like we
- 9:59Speaker 4: should call her. Yeah, pick it now. You know what
- 10:03Speaker 4: you need to do is somehow manufacture things to happen
- 10:07Speaker 4: in her life that leads towards everything of your son's
- 10:09Speaker 4: name being Body. True. You need a manufacturer. Like have
- 10:12Speaker 4: you seen what's the movie call? Is it called Hustle?
- 10:16Speaker 4: Maybe Margot Robbie Will Yeah? Good movie. Yeah, that's a
- 10:20Speaker 4: good movie. They and they go and they do this
- 10:22Speaker 4: massive job where they get a bunch of money scammer
- 10:24Speaker 4: people or whatever. And then Will Smith goes to this
- 10:26Speaker 4: football game and gambles it all the way with this
- 10:29Speaker 4: big gambling guy from China, and he loses all the
- 10:33Speaker 4: money and says, fuck it, double or nothing. It's either
- 10:36Speaker 4: like he walks away nothing or he walks away like
- 10:37Speaker 4: four million. Yeah. And then he's like he gives this
- 10:43Speaker 4: guy like fifty six to one odds or something to
- 10:45Speaker 4: win double or nothing. And Margaret is sitting there and
- 10:48Speaker 4: she's like no, no, no, no, no, no, no, don't do it.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Don't do it. And Will Smith's like, god, I got this,
- 10:51Speaker 4: and he doesn't tell her that this is all a con.
- 10:53Speaker 4: And then he there's a player down there that they've
- 10:56Speaker 4: put on the field where in the number sixty six,
- 10:59Speaker 4: and the Chinese got to that. And then Will Smith's
- 11:01Speaker 4: like looking around, looking around, looking around, and he goes, ah,
- 11:05Speaker 4: to Margot, Robbie, you choose the number for me. You're
- 11:07Speaker 4: my lucky girl lord. Yeah. And then she sees the guy.
- 11:10Speaker 4: She knows we're in sixty six, and she's like sixty
- 11:12Speaker 4: six and he's like that's and then the Chinese guy
- 11:15Speaker 4: is like, that's it. Here's your four million?
- 11:19Speaker 2: Is that a type of gas light?
- 11:20Speaker 4: Oh? Wait, what was talking about how you wanted me
- 11:23Speaker 4: to have. The way they got him to choose the
- 11:26Speaker 4: number sixty six was they basically jack hijacked his whole day.
- 11:30Speaker 4: They became his security, they became his driver, they became everything,
- 11:33Speaker 4: and they set up a whole bunch of things with
- 11:35Speaker 4: the number sixty six was everyhere without him knowing. And
- 11:37Speaker 4: then when he's on the field and sees the number
- 11:38Speaker 4: sixty six, he's subconsciously seeing that number of all days. So
- 11:40Speaker 4: we chosen.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's also a movie and also yeah, good point.
- 11:45Speaker 1: And also I'm like, I'm like, I'm gonna say, notice
- 11:47Speaker 1: some of her names, so like, well, land On one,
- 11:49Speaker 1: I want to kind of go down the plant avenue though,
- 11:51Speaker 1: like a cool botanical name of a plant or something,
- 11:55Speaker 1: this heaps cool name.
- 11:57Speaker 4: I don't have one off on my hand because I
- 11:58Speaker 4: would have used it already. So you want to name
- 12:01Speaker 4: your children after the botanical name of.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Plants, We'll think there's there's heaps of girl names.
- 12:07Speaker 1: A lily is a flower, yeah, but that's that's not
- 12:09Speaker 1: the botanical name. Yeah, but it's the same thing is
- 12:11Speaker 1: naming another a flower ship, There's another, what's another, There's
- 12:14Speaker 1: what's another?
- 12:16Speaker 4: Your ex girlfriend Lily Irene? Fuck you is that?
- 12:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that is Irene.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Isn't Irina? Flower tulip? Is that a name? I feel
- 12:26Speaker 4: like it is the giving pet puppy. Yeah yeah, but
- 12:29Speaker 4: I haven't landed on one yet. But there's a whole
- 12:31Speaker 4: book of them.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Like if you go look at a tree and you
- 12:33Speaker 1: think it's like a eucalyptus tree, there's also a botanical
- 12:36Speaker 1: name that goes with that.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Why is that? Wonder why that's the case, I don't know.
- 12:40Speaker 1: But there's some pretty names out there that people don't
- 12:42Speaker 1: even know about.
- 12:43Speaker 4: You would just call your kid like fucking Liam. I
- 12:47Speaker 4: don't hate that name.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Yeah exactly.
- 12:49Speaker 4: I don't hear that name? Yeah, Liam from Force Wing.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Yeah, Liam Craig. Craig is so common. You need to
- 12:54Speaker 1: go Rogue, Go rogue.
- 12:57Speaker 4: I reckon, if you had a boy three two go,
- 13:00Speaker 4: I know what I'm naming my Parker? Yeah yeah, but
- 13:03Speaker 4: will Beth have that? Yeah? She likes Parker.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Really, you have Spider Man's kid.
- 13:07Speaker 4: I don't think she knows that. No, that's what Cassie
- 13:12Speaker 4: liked Parker, And I said, you know, fucking I was
- 13:14Speaker 4: like Jake One's Parker. I was like, you know where
- 13:16Speaker 4: that's from? She's like, no, like fucking Spider Man. It's like, oh,
- 13:18Speaker 4: I didn't know that. So she doesn't like it.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Then, well, I said, I'm not calling Jake's already got that,
- 13:23Speaker 1: and I'm not naming my kid after Spider Man.
- 13:24Speaker 4: You can name if you have a son before me.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Take.
- 13:26Speaker 4: I mean I I'd have to cop it if you
- 13:28Speaker 4: named Parker, A'd be actually so off that. Anyway, Wait,
- 13:33Speaker 4: I wanted to try this thing. I saw a funny
- 13:35Speaker 4: video of there was these three dudes in a car
- 13:38Speaker 4: and they were like, is this your dream again? No,
- 13:42Speaker 4: my dream was one man AnyWho. They were I'm not
- 13:48Speaker 4: gonna lie. It was the funniest thing to watch because
- 13:51Speaker 4: it was so uncomfortable. You and I might be good
- 13:53Speaker 4: at it, but these guys were trying to, I ironically
- 13:56Speaker 4: compliment each other. Oh okay, And it was hands down
- 14:00Speaker 4: the funniest thing. Okay, they all tried to compliment each other.
- 14:04Speaker 4: Three times. They'd be sitting there. There was two of
- 14:06Speaker 4: them in the front, one of them in the back
- 14:08Speaker 4: and wanted to be like, Johnny, I really like your hair.
- 14:14Speaker 4: I think it falls very cool, very naturally. And then
- 14:18Speaker 4: they go and they just start a laughing. It was
- 14:20Speaker 4: the fucking weirdest thing. Men can't compliment each other. Yeah,
- 14:25Speaker 4: it's so awkward, okay, And so what made me think
- 14:27Speaker 4: we should try it is like you and I talk
- 14:30Speaker 4: like if you think about it, honestly, like you and
- 14:31Speaker 4: I talk talk in depth, not necessarily to each other
- 14:35Speaker 4: in about our lives. We talk about other things on
- 14:37Speaker 4: the pod, but like for three hours a week. Yeah,
- 14:39Speaker 4: and like not once do either one of us go like,
- 14:42Speaker 4: oh shit, like we were wearing today, Like you've said
- 14:45Speaker 4: it once. I've probably said it once, like I have
- 14:47Speaker 4: been listening to Giggly Squad heaps and that's the time.
- 14:50Speaker 4: But they will start talking about they'll just like go
- 14:52Speaker 4: on this ram and be like we love each other
- 14:54Speaker 4: so much. Like they start talking me how much they
- 14:56Speaker 4: love each other, And I was thinking, like, we don't
- 14:58Speaker 4: do that. We talked for like three hour a week. Yeah.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Interesting, I know. Dak Shepherd compliments his guests to make
- 15:06Speaker 1: him feel more comfortable and start the conversation flowing that we.
- 15:09Speaker 4: Need to dismantle them. Yeah.
- 15:11Speaker 1: He always goes, oh, like you're such a handsome going, oh,
- 15:14Speaker 1: that shirt's tight, you've been working out.
- 15:16Speaker 4: She's like that. Okay, here's the thing. So I'm really
- 15:18Speaker 4: annoyed to myself because I didn't think of three compliments
- 15:20Speaker 4: prior to this, because.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Surely you can get him off the top of your head.
- 15:23Speaker 4: That's usually if I was to do something like this,
- 15:25Speaker 4: usually I would like think of the compliments beforehand, and
- 15:27Speaker 4: then you on the spot. Guy, Okay, I'm going to
- 15:32Speaker 4: go first. I'll do number one, right, Okaydie Long. I
- 15:43Speaker 4: think also it can be whatever you want, doesn't don't
- 15:46Speaker 4: just be like, yeah, I think you're a good guy.
- 15:48Speaker 6: I don't, and you have to take the take it, Okay.
- 16:02Speaker 4: I I think you have a good body. Oh ship,
- 16:07Speaker 4: thanks man, You're welcome. That made me feel good. Which
- 16:12Speaker 4: part it's so mean? You should be funny?
- 16:25Speaker 1: Which yeah yeah, yeah, no, no, no, okay, Ja, I
- 16:31Speaker 1: think you have beautiful blue eyes.
- 16:34Speaker 4: Thank you.

- 16:44Speaker 4: Okay, where else can I go with this? Okaydie We
- 16:53Speaker 4: were both saying I think yeah, I should be saying
- 16:56Speaker 4: I know, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, Addie, I it was
- 17:05Speaker 4: this a compliment? This my let me know if this
- 17:06Speaker 4: is hope. So I am proud to call you my
- 17:12Speaker 4: best friend. Oh that's complident, right, thank you. J Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 17:18Speaker 4: I appreciate that. I think you should be proud.
- 17:22Speaker 2: I was thinking I shouldn't say that back.
- 17:24Speaker 4: Should I should just take it.
- 17:25Speaker 2: I shouldn't put it in another compliment exactly.
- 17:27Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, okay, okay, I'm thinking how the phrase it was about.
- 17:30Speaker 4: I think that's all right. Yeah, I think it's comfortable
- 17:33Speaker 4: to it. I'm just going to go.
- 17:34Speaker 2: I think again, if I say I know, it feels
- 17:36Speaker 2: like that's wrong.
- 17:37Speaker 4: It's just just be like you.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, Jake, you have one of the biggest hearts
- 17:49Speaker 1: that I know.
- 17:51Speaker 4: Thank you. That's a good one. I like that. Thank
- 17:54Speaker 4: you very much. Audie. Oh okay, once again, I think
- 18:01Speaker 4: this is a good complicentlic the this podcast would not
- 18:09Speaker 4: be here or anywhere close to where it is without you. Wow.
- 18:15Speaker 4: Even if I, like say, I did it with someone
- 18:17Speaker 4: else who had the same like, I don't think it
- 18:20Speaker 4: would like. I think that it is where it is
- 18:23Speaker 4: because of you. Thank you very much. That's very, very
- 18:25Speaker 4: very nice. That's a great compliment. Thank you. I likewise
- 18:29Speaker 4: reciprocate thank you, but also thank you. You have to
- 18:32Speaker 4: do that's really good. No, no, no, no, that was very heartfelt.
- 18:35Speaker 4: I appreciate that one. Okay, that was a good one
- 18:39Speaker 4: as bad. It's a competition. Funny one. You can be funny.
- 18:42Speaker 4: You can do it every week, mate, I can beat Okay,
- 18:54Speaker 4: I'll do my funny one after because you will like
- 18:55Speaker 4: that too, funny one, do it.
- 19:02Speaker 1: It's the way I'm going to phrase it makes it
- 19:04Speaker 1: sound like it's not a compliment, but you'll take it
- 19:06Speaker 1: as a compliment.
- 19:07Speaker 4: Okay, this depends how well you know me.
- 19:10Speaker 2: I'm sometimes jealous that you can grow a good beard.
- 19:13Speaker 4: I like that. That's a good compliment. See you know
- 19:16Speaker 4: your crowd. That's a good confliment. There you go. Sometimes
- 19:21Speaker 4: sometimes it's yeah, yeah, that's That's not the only reason
- 19:25Speaker 4: I can feel good about not having a beard, because
- 19:28Speaker 4: you have to shave it.
- 19:29Speaker 2: But I would love to be able to grow one.
- 19:31Speaker 4: Like this is this is just a really this is
- 19:35Speaker 4: an unspoken hardship that men go through. Okay, picture this all.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Right, Oh we're going to go.
- 19:46Speaker 4: You're a white man and you're part of a white
- 19:50Speaker 4: man duo podcast and you've been picked up by a
- 19:56Speaker 4: company and they want to fly you to Melbourne. They're
- 20:01Speaker 4: paying for the flights, and you wake up your flight's
- 20:07Speaker 4: quite early. So you wake up and you go and
- 20:11Speaker 4: have a shower and you look in the mirror and
- 20:12Speaker 4: you think, fuck, I forgot to shave last night, so
- 20:17Speaker 4: you have to do it in the morning. This picture
- 20:20Speaker 4: of that, all right, I swear you to let that
- 20:21Speaker 4: sink in and just think about you feel it's funny.
- 20:25Speaker 1: We have the same experiences, like I can't grow a beer,
- 20:29Speaker 1: but I get.
- 20:29Speaker 4: Like ugly stubble. Oh yeah, it's you have to shave.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I still have to shave. It's a lot
- 20:33Speaker 1: easier shaving. But I fool think it was nov I
- 20:38Speaker 1: had like a no I left earlier.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Maybe it wasn't over.
- 20:40Speaker 1: I've had that exact experience were I've worken up in
- 20:42Speaker 1: the morning, I'm like, fuck, I've got something and we're
- 20:44Speaker 1: like a photo shooter.
- 20:44Speaker 2: We had something on. I'm like this ugly little photo.
- 20:51Speaker 4: But it's it's an honest hardship. It's fucking hey, I
- 20:56Speaker 4: really I think that I don't know how we left
- 20:58Speaker 4: any may even listening. I want you to know that
- 21:02Speaker 4: we see you. We see you. I see you, Yes,
- 21:06Speaker 4: thank you, we see each other. Yeah, thank you.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, I really enjoyed that.
- 21:13Speaker 4: The game to play too what was it that was
- 21:15Speaker 4: a good game?
- 21:15Speaker 2: Bad?
- 21:16Speaker 1: He's come back next week. You're paying for it, so
- 21:18Speaker 1: you probably will. But I had a good game. It
- 21:20Speaker 1: will come back to me when I drive home. Yeah,
- 21:22Speaker 1: it was a similar to that, but like different.
- 21:24Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm down to play a game. Yeah, I like
- 21:27Speaker 4: playing games. Yeah, I play games of everything.
- 21:36Speaker 1: It is dilemmas time bad as you guys know by
- 21:38Speaker 1: now that let me know if it's still there. Dilemmas
- 21:41Speaker 1: is pinned at the top of Patreon.

- 21:43Speaker 1: But some baddies, we're having some troubles and you have
- 21:45Speaker 1: your unique links, so we get to all of them.

- 22:37Speaker 1: She got paired with Mike had with the start? What
- 22:41Speaker 1: she got paired with Mike at the start?
- 22:42Speaker 4: Is that his name? Michael? What are you talking about? No?
- 22:45Speaker 4: This this she was a bombsheld when I'm talking about.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Yeah, she got paired with the teeth.

- 22:59Speaker 4: I think we're the tea. Yeah, the you're talking about.
- 23:03Speaker 2: No, I'm not talking about No, No, the bombshell.
- 23:06Speaker 4: I know, can I find it? I see her tiktoks

- 23:33Speaker 1: why are they personal videos? Don't want photos of everyone.
- 23:35Speaker 4: We probably shouldn't say her name. If it is a dilemma, No,
- 23:37Speaker 4: it's not a bad bad one. It's like a life one.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Huh this girl who actually play that one?
- 23:44Speaker 4: Yes?
- 23:45Speaker 2: That has to be Yeah of inside a clip?
- 23:48Speaker 4: Wait, were fully showing everything. I doesn't want to be anonymous.
- 23:51Speaker 4: She just said you might know me. True, she would
- 23:54Speaker 4: have expected us. She would have expected you and I
- 23:57Speaker 4: to work that out. The biggest brain we watched the show, Yeah,
- 24:03Speaker 4: we did.
- 24:03Speaker 1: So to reiterate you might know me from Love Island.
- 24:06Speaker 1: I'm a sparky third year working for a big company.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I actually love what I do, but lately the lifestyle
- 24:11Speaker 1: has been hectic. I'm doing ten hour days driving from
- 24:14Speaker 1: the Goldie too busy every day about an hour twenty,
- 24:17Speaker 1: waking up at three am to train before work, and honestly,
- 24:21Speaker 1: it's starting to feel draining. As a lot of people say,
- 24:25Speaker 1: just push through. Everyone does it, and I get that,
- 24:27Speaker 1: But at the same time, I feel like trades shouldn't
- 24:30Speaker 1: have to run people into the ground just because that's
- 24:33Speaker 1: how it's always been. I want to bring a different
- 24:36Speaker 1: perspective into the trade, where you can still work hard
- 24:39Speaker 1: but not destroy yourself in the process. Can you hear
- 24:42Speaker 1: your thoughts? Is it just part of the grind or
- 24:45Speaker 1: do you reckon things? Can slash should change?
- 24:48Speaker 4: That's a good question.
- 24:49Speaker 5: It's so weird if this is who we thought we've
- 24:53Speaker 5: worked it out to be.
- 24:54Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, it's so weird to put a face to
- 24:56Speaker 4: what we're seeing. Yeah, or you're grinding three workouts, could
- 25:01Speaker 4: not be me. I literally have all the time in
- 25:03Speaker 4: the world, and I've been to the gym once this year. Yeah, baddie,
- 25:06Speaker 4: I think you know what you're doing here. You've come
- 25:08Speaker 4: to the right people.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I think you know what you doing.
- 25:11Speaker 4: We love telling people to quit.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:12Speaker 4: No, we love telling people about everything.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Not necessarily quit quitters where work different as.
- 25:19Speaker 4: Quit a job. No, no, no, no, no, tell me break
- 25:22Speaker 4: up with the job, break up with the city, don't
- 25:24Speaker 4: have sex with anyone at your job, break up valid,
- 25:27Speaker 4: break up with a boyfriend, break up with a girlfriend
- 25:29Speaker 4: if you need a break up, breakup. But you just
- 25:31Speaker 4: look at everything in your life as a relationshow.
- 25:33Speaker 2: And know what I'm talking about now, Okay, I can land.
- 25:35Speaker 2: I can land it.
- 25:36Speaker 1: So the reason I think you've come to the right
- 25:39Speaker 1: place is all after I finished school eighteen, When did
- 25:42Speaker 1: we start this pod?
- 25:43Speaker 2: How old were we twenty two, twenty three, twenty twenty three,
- 25:46Speaker 2: twenty three. Yeah, I was going to UNI.
- 25:49Speaker 4: I was.
- 25:50Speaker 1: I dabbled in a bit of a trade just and
- 25:52Speaker 1: it wasn't really for me. And everyone was just like,
- 25:54Speaker 1: that's how it is, that's what you should do, that's
- 25:56Speaker 1: the norm. And I was like, I'm not fucking accepting.
- 26:00Speaker 1: That sounds so stupid. I'm just going to be depressed
- 26:03Speaker 1: and sad my whole life. Yeah, and everyone's like, that's
- 26:06Speaker 1: just what you do. And I was like, well, that's
- 26:07Speaker 1: not very that's not a very good idea. And no
- 26:09Speaker 1: one knew what was going on inside my head except
- 26:11Speaker 1: for me and Jake.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Will try to explain it to Jake and he got
- 26:14Speaker 2: on board.
- 26:16Speaker 1: But really, no one knows what's going on inside your head.
- 26:20Speaker 1: And if you feel this way, listen to it. There
- 26:23Speaker 1: is one hundred percent of world out there where you
- 26:25Speaker 1: can work normal hours. It's probably not in the mining
- 26:27Speaker 1: world that well's just obscure as But there's a world
- 26:30Speaker 1: where you can be a sparky have a good lifestyle.
- 26:34Speaker 1: And I don't know how that can work, but there's
- 26:37Speaker 1: definitely a world where that does work. And if you
- 26:40Speaker 1: listen to people saying that is the normal, then your
- 26:43Speaker 1: life is being controlled by someone else.
- 26:45Speaker 4: Can you please read again what routine I'm doing?
- 26:49Speaker 2: Ten hour days?
- 26:50Speaker 1: I'm doing ten hour days driving from the Goldie to
- 26:52Speaker 1: Busy every day about now twenty, waking up at three
- 26:54Speaker 1: am to train before work and honestly is starting to
- 26:56Speaker 1: feel draining as.
- 26:58Speaker 4: Wol couldn't be nice Brisbane every day?
- 27:01Speaker 1: Yeah, And like I really empathize with training before work man, especially.
- 27:07Speaker 2: With like fucking ten hour days in the mines.
- 27:10Speaker 4: She is, what I said, and it might as well
- 27:12Speaker 4: keep she's an electrician what he keep saying? The mines?
- 27:14Speaker 4: Isn't that what? Why? Oh? I thought she was. Don't's
- 27:16Speaker 4: any mines in Brisbane? I thought there was. Brisbane is
- 27:18Speaker 4: a city, you dickhead.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Isn't there a mine there outside of Brisy?
- 27:22Speaker 4: I mean, look, I'm sure maybe a few hours.
- 27:24Speaker 1: I swear there's a mine in Busy anyway, maybe there is,
- 27:27Speaker 1: I could be either way. She's still driving an hour
- 27:28Speaker 1: twenty Yeah, and I was thinking ten out. Now I
- 27:30Speaker 1: supposed I'm maybe wrong, Yeah, but I think there's definitely
- 27:33Speaker 1: ways to work around. I would and my honest advice
- 27:37Speaker 1: would be, don't do it what and give yourself time
- 27:41Speaker 1: to figure out what you do want to do.
- 27:43Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, fair well, look for two we think
- 27:46Speaker 4: it is. I'm pretty sure that you're like twenty two.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:50Speaker 1: I thought it was the other the man in there
- 27:53Speaker 1: who was also working in the mines as a sparky,
- 27:55Speaker 1: who she dated for a bit on the show.
- 27:57Speaker 2: I don't know. He didn't have much substance. No, he
- 27:59Speaker 2: was like nine, was he twenty nine?
- 28:01Speaker 4: He was jacked, yeah, and that he played into it
- 28:04Speaker 4: heavily when he first came into the show.
- 28:06Speaker 2: I didn't know how to talk.
- 28:07Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, no, he got voted out. I
- 28:10Speaker 4: think he was. He was in the villa for a
- 28:11Speaker 4: day or two. Yeah, that's who I thought it was.
- 28:13Speaker 2: That's why I'm going maybe he was in the minds
- 28:15Speaker 2: in the show, and that's why I'm getting confused this magic.
- 28:17Speaker 4: It could be him.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe, but yeah, we don't know. Yeah, comment in
- 28:22Speaker 1: below and say your name and so that's me, guys. Yeah,
- 28:25Speaker 1: we're in the goldie we can we need some sparky
- 28:27Speaker 1: work every now and then.
- 28:31Speaker 4: But no, seriously, okay, look there does have to be away.
- 28:35Speaker 4: Let me think about this, like the thing that there
- 28:38Speaker 4: is sort of so when it comes to being a
- 28:44Speaker 4: trades person, there is a lot of things that are
- 28:47Speaker 4: just like a super set and stone. Like for one thing,
- 28:49Speaker 4: it's like heavily men, yeah, lots of male workers. And
- 28:55Speaker 4: then there's all there's just like this kind of stigma.
- 28:58Speaker 4: I guess it's like I always found it so weird,
- 29:00Speaker 4: like because I have I'm a licensed carpenter or whatever
- 29:05Speaker 4: I did the four years my four year apprenticeship, I
- 29:08Speaker 4: was just the thing I didn't like was like, how
- 29:11Speaker 4: no matter whatever, one started at seven, this is my
- 29:14Speaker 4: experience at least started at seven, and then we had
- 29:17Speaker 4: a break at nine and a break at twelve, and
- 29:21Speaker 4: then we would finish at three thirty, and I just
- 29:25Speaker 4: like after why, I remember thinking like this is just
- 29:28Speaker 4: so I just for some reason found it so weird,
- 29:30Speaker 4: like when you aren't your own boss, it feels like
- 29:36Speaker 4: you're at school. Yeah, like you feel like you don't
- 29:39Speaker 4: really have any I guess freedom control and some people
- 29:43Speaker 4: obviously like really like the structure and stuff. To be honest,
- 29:46Speaker 4: I think I would probably be a higher performer with
- 29:50Speaker 4: better structure in my life. Yeah, but I just think
- 29:55Speaker 4: like this, if you're third year apprentice, yeah.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Fuck, well I think you could finish it.
- 30:03Speaker 4: That's the thing as well. I was like, we're being
- 30:05Speaker 4: an apprentice as well.
- 30:06Speaker 1: It's like you can't really just leave And could she
- 30:11Speaker 1: look for another employer on the goldie and then when
- 30:14Speaker 1: she finds a quit.
- 30:16Speaker 4: Yeah, surely that could be something you could be proactively doing.
- 30:20Speaker 4: I would assume, Yeah, that's probably a good little tip.
- 30:22Speaker 1: I remember there's just so many little things within the
- 30:25Speaker 1: trade industry which is just like toxic in old fashion,
- 30:30Speaker 1: and she's like dumb. I remember when I did laboring
- 30:33Speaker 1: for like six months and I was digging holes for
- 30:38Speaker 1: like two weeks, and like after three days, my hands
- 30:41Speaker 1: really started hurt. So I brought gloves. I brought them
- 30:44Speaker 1: the next day just from home, and they will started
- 30:45Speaker 1: giving me shit for wearing gloves. I'm like, these things
- 30:48Speaker 1: are invented to prevent my hands from getting blisters. And
- 30:50Speaker 1: then they was like, you're soft, You're fucking this your
- 30:52Speaker 1: that I was like, you guys are losing a Let
- 30:54Speaker 1: me wear some fucking us the warm Let me wear
- 30:56Speaker 1: some gloves.
- 30:57Speaker 2: I'm gonna go home and be able to.
- 30:58Speaker 1: I think my hands hurt the gym, and that's what
- 31:00Speaker 1: annoyed me. I was like, I can't work out because
- 31:02Speaker 1: my hands hurt from digging all day. Bought walls and gloves,
- 31:04Speaker 1: and they all give me a shit. I was like,
- 31:05Speaker 1: these guys are so backwards in their mind that they
- 31:08Speaker 1: think like the more of a man they are is
- 31:09Speaker 1: the harder work they do.
- 31:10Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, here, okay, here's one thing as well. I
- 31:13Speaker 4: was like, so you're in your third year of your apprenticeship.
- 31:17Speaker 4: I and I actually I nearly quit my apprenticeship. And
- 31:20Speaker 4: then the only reason I finished it was because of
- 31:22Speaker 4: a tafe teacher. Because I I stopped going to tape.
- 31:27Speaker 4: I had one I think I had two weeks of
- 31:30Speaker 4: tape left and I and I was like, I'm not
- 31:34Speaker 4: gonna be a fucking carpenter. I'm not. I don't need
- 31:37Speaker 4: to finish tape. Like why would I If I know
- 31:39Speaker 4: I'm not doing I would do anything, but this. I
- 31:41Speaker 4: was like, why would I have finish tape? And so
- 31:44Speaker 4: I stopped going the the last two weeks, and I
- 31:46Speaker 4: had friends from tape message and me being like, you
- 31:48Speaker 4: know the teacher's name. We used to call them Pewey.
- 31:52Speaker 4: Pewey is spewing, like you're not finishing a like he
- 31:56Speaker 4: was spewing. And I remember in him at a Vocal
- 32:02Speaker 4: bowling club and he saw me. He was like, Jake,
- 32:05Speaker 4: what are you doing? And I was like, what do
- 32:07Speaker 4: you mean when it? I was like doing what I
- 32:08Speaker 4: want to do, being a young dumb kid whatever, and
- 32:12Speaker 4: he's like, you have he said, I I will pass
- 32:15Speaker 4: you if you go and half ask the fuck out
- 32:18Speaker 4: of that last assignment. He emailed me the assignment. He's like,
- 32:21Speaker 4: I will literally tell you what to do, like I
- 32:23Speaker 4: will pass you. It's like everything else you've done has
- 32:26Speaker 4: been like great, like you need to just get this
- 32:28Speaker 4: certificate or whatever. And I was like, if you say so,
- 32:31Speaker 4: and so the only reason I finished was because a
- 32:33Speaker 4: teacher and so, like, I don't know if that's like
- 32:36Speaker 4: some sort of male privilege thing. I have no idea.
- 32:38Speaker 4: I genuinely have nothing that his luck it was like
- 32:40Speaker 4: pretty lucky. But here's what I'm saying. It's like I
- 32:44Speaker 4: actually under like I was gonna quit. And so here's
- 32:47Speaker 4: what I'm saying is like people are probably like you.
- 32:50Speaker 4: Let's say you talk to your parents and then you say,
- 32:53Speaker 4: I hate this. This is not a life I want
- 32:55Speaker 4: to live. And then they're like, oh, but you should
- 32:57Speaker 4: just finish. This is how it is, Like you just
- 32:59Speaker 4: need to finish because then you can back on it.
- 33:00Speaker 4: You can always fall back on it. Blah blah blah
- 33:01Speaker 4: blah blah. Like the way I see it is whatever
- 33:06Speaker 4: decision you make is the right decision. Who cares? Because also,
- 33:11Speaker 4: like so whatever decision you make is the right decision.
- 33:14Speaker 4: And then let's say you go and you just tried
- 33:18Speaker 4: desperately to do something else and just everything else just
- 33:21Speaker 4: for some reason it didn't work out. You know, you
- 33:23Speaker 4: learned a lot along the way, but it just didn't
- 33:25Speaker 4: work out. And so you do want to make a
- 33:27Speaker 4: decent living, so you think, fuck it, I'll go back
- 33:30Speaker 4: to the trade. Like you'll be I don't know, thirty
- 33:35Speaker 4: thirty five. At that point, all of the stuff you
- 33:37Speaker 4: did at TAFE is called RPL recognized prior learning all right,
- 33:43Speaker 4: that exists in the system. Didn't pick up where you
- 33:45Speaker 4: left off pretty much, just pick up where you left off.
- 33:48Speaker 4: You'll have a year of TAFE left and then you
- 33:52Speaker 4: just get picked up be a maturaiged auprentice. You have
- 33:55Speaker 4: a year he sorry, have a year of TAFE left
- 33:58Speaker 4: and then finish and be and just go through it. Then.
- 34:01Speaker 4: Like my auntie became an engineer when she was like thirty.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Eight, I often think that too, Like.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Yeah, like I think, just don't people confine themselves to
- 34:13Speaker 1: their career.
- 34:14Speaker 4: Yeah, so I'm not telling you to quit or I'm
- 34:15Speaker 4: not telling you to stick it out, or I just like,
- 34:19Speaker 4: just whatever you want to do with the right choice. Yeah,
- 34:21Speaker 4: but I really do feel too, like at the end
- 34:24Speaker 4: of the spectrum is people do four years of UNI
- 34:26Speaker 4: or TAPE or whatever and then they're like, oh, I
- 34:29Speaker 4: have to do this.
- 34:30Speaker 2: I just wasted four years of my life, which is
- 34:31Speaker 2: so wrong.
- 34:32Speaker 4: It's a wrong mindset. Look not to like call out
- 34:35Speaker 4: my sister. She was in a UNI for like six years, right, so,
- 34:42Speaker 4: and I might be the worst brother in the world.
- 34:45Speaker 4: I don't know what her degree is in. Yeah, Okay,
- 34:49Speaker 4: and now she's a manager at a boys and girls
- 34:52Speaker 4: club which is like Troubled Youth somewhere in Canada in Kamloops, Right,
- 34:57Speaker 4: And like, I'm about ninety eight percent confident that her
- 35:02Speaker 4: degree didn't get at that job. She's just really good
- 35:05Speaker 4: at that, you know what I mean?
- 35:07Speaker 1: Like it's hard one, Oh, it's very hard, I think. Yeah,
- 35:09Speaker 1: I think it's a good conversation. So thanks for bringing
- 35:11Speaker 1: it up. Yeah, and listen to your heart honestly, who
- 35:15Speaker 1: knows what to do?
- 35:17Speaker 4: And listen to us? Okay, I got one title. Can
- 35:20Speaker 4: you be friends with a situationship? Oh? No, we'll find
- 35:24Speaker 4: out he's ugly? Actually, is that the defining factor they
- 35:31Speaker 4: could be? Hey, mommy and Daddy, thanks for the pod
- 35:35Speaker 4: and all the last Hoping you can help me out
- 35:37Speaker 4: with a little dilemma. A year ago, I broke things
- 35:39Speaker 4: off with the situationship after a few months without real
- 35:41Speaker 4: commitment think girlfriend behavior without a label. He ultimately admitted
- 35:46Speaker 4: he wasn't ready for a relationship, and because I was
- 35:48Speaker 4: so naive, I was left hurt and misled. Since then,
- 35:51Speaker 4: I've reflected, grown as a person and moved on. After
- 35:54Speaker 4: a year of no contact, we recently ran into each
- 35:56Speaker 4: other as we lived nearby. We had reflective We had
- 35:59Speaker 4: a reflective chat where he apologized for everything that had happened.
- 36:03Speaker 4: We ended up getting along well with some good banter.
- 36:07Speaker 4: Turns out we're part of the same UNI club, which
- 36:10Speaker 4: hosts regular events where I'll see him quite often. He suggested,
- 36:13Speaker 4: maybe as a joke, that we could go to these
- 36:16Speaker 4: events together. Oh, and it's got to be thinking about
- 36:19Speaker 4: what might happen from here. Oh, I thought I'd closed
- 36:22Speaker 4: this door. So my question is, can you be friends
- 36:24Speaker 4: with an next situationship if there are no romantic feelings left?
- 36:27Speaker 4: Is it a bad idea to get involved again? Or
- 36:29Speaker 4: am I just overthinking things? Thank you from a confused baddie.
- 36:33Speaker 1: Look, I think the answer is yes, it's a bad
- 36:36Speaker 1: idea full stop.
- 36:37Speaker 4: Oh it's a bad idea to get involved in like
- 36:40Speaker 4: sexual relations again. Yeah?
- 36:42Speaker 2: What does she just want to be friends?
- 36:43Speaker 4: Yeah? I think you guys could go to a UNI club. Yeah,
- 36:46Speaker 4: but what be mature about it?
- 36:47Speaker 1: But what happens if like it didn't work out romantically
- 36:51Speaker 1: and she thought it was mutual. But then he's always.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Been like, damn, its fucking bad.
- 36:58Speaker 1: He goes pass. Shit, she's still bad. Might rekindle this shit?
- 37:04Speaker 1: You want to come to UNI club with me?
- 37:06Speaker 4: But they're in the same Unich club already.
- 37:07Speaker 1: I don't know club. Fuck and then he is suggesting
- 37:11Speaker 1: they go together. He's got a Uni club together, because
- 37:14Speaker 1: you're bad. I assume it's like a club, and she
- 37:16Speaker 1: just wants to be Why do you want to be
- 37:17Speaker 1: friends with him?
- 37:18Speaker 4: But well, I think that she just wants to be
- 37:20Speaker 4: friends with him, because like he's trying to be friendly
- 37:22Speaker 4: with her, and then he's suggesting, like, yeah, we could
- 37:24Speaker 4: like go Uni club together and stuff.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Friendly and friends are different things.
- 37:28Speaker 4: Yeah, like you could so easily be friendly with it.
- 37:31Speaker 4: And then like, if you want to be friends with him,
- 37:33Speaker 4: go for it. You know what, who are we to
- 37:35Speaker 4: say yes or no? Go for it. But if you
- 37:37Speaker 4: start to catch like actual feelings for if you say
- 37:39Speaker 4: he catches feelings, you just have to be able to
- 37:41Speaker 4: admit when that's happening. Like, I don't really give a
- 37:43Speaker 4: fuck what anyone does. If I'm being honestly, do what
- 37:45Speaker 4: you want to do. Just admit what's happening when it's happening. Yeah,
- 37:49Speaker 4: and like you can tell.
- 37:51Speaker 1: And then if you send in another dilemma saying like
- 37:53Speaker 1: I think my best friend, my best boyfriend has catch
- 37:56Speaker 1: for court feelings for.
- 37:57Speaker 4: Me, we're not answering it. Yeah we will. They're the
- 38:02Speaker 4: good ones.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Nah God, alrighty, some exciting things are happening in my life.
- 38:16Speaker 2: And I am.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Going to say you are an expert in this field.
- 38:20Speaker 1: I don't like how you just went along with that
- 38:24Speaker 1: so easily.
- 38:26Speaker 4: I'm an expert, all right.
- 38:28Speaker 1: So I'm going to call this things I'm doing now
- 38:31Speaker 1: I'm moving in with my partner expert. So just to recap,
- 38:35Speaker 1: you have been living with Bethany, your partner, for.
- 38:38Speaker 4: I guess it's just just over a year. Yeah, it's just.
- 38:41Speaker 2: Over a year.
- 38:42Speaker 1: And I am about to move in with Cassie, my
- 38:44Speaker 1: lovely partner. Probably by the time this episode comes out,
- 38:50Speaker 1: I will be moved in.
- 38:51Speaker 4: So as we speak, you're like Kardastani. Yeah, yeah, it's
- 38:54Speaker 4: not It'll be a nice slow process.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, No.
- 38:56Speaker 1: I think I'm just gonna do it one day and
- 38:57Speaker 1: then leave my clothes there and that's it. Okay, Yeah,
- 38:59Speaker 1: so done.
- 39:00Speaker 2: All right.
- 39:00Speaker 1: So these are things I'm doing now, moving in with
- 39:03Speaker 1: my partner, and I want you to tell me if
- 39:04Speaker 1: they're good and if you do them okay or did
- 39:07Speaker 1: them okay? Number one, make dedicated time for quality time.
- 39:12Speaker 4: Wait, you are you saying like this is what you're
- 39:14Speaker 4: going to start doing Yeah, okay, okay, go go again
- 39:16Speaker 4: and goes.
- 39:17Speaker 1: Because like you're again in the mindset of like we
- 39:19Speaker 1: have actively been going to each other's house and that's
- 39:21Speaker 1: like quality time. Yeah, but now we're always going to
- 39:24Speaker 1: be together forever, So like.
- 39:26Speaker 4: I would say that's a good thing to do. Yeah,
- 39:29Speaker 4: I would say best, And I actually haven't done that
- 39:30Speaker 4: very much.
- 39:31Speaker 2: I haven't done that very much.
- 39:32Speaker 4: Well we should, Okay, we need to do it more. Yeah,
- 39:34Speaker 4: when was the last time you went on a date?
- 39:35Speaker 4: Have you been a one since? Been up? We haven't
- 39:36Speaker 4: been on a date for a while. Really, Yeah, yeah,
- 39:40Speaker 4: I would say I could blame so many things, but
- 39:42Speaker 4: really it's just like something. It's just that I need
- 39:44Speaker 4: to like organize one. Yeah, do you.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Know how we're talking about on the main episode? I
- 39:47Speaker 1: think it was the man episode like sextinger you talk
- 39:50Speaker 1: what about. I feel like this is the thing we
- 39:51Speaker 1: would do yearn for a date with her, and I'll
- 39:54Speaker 1: yearn for a day.
- 39:54Speaker 4: I'd do that time with you.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, that's fucking I feel like that's almost better
- 39:58Speaker 1: than sexy right still flirt hid notes surpriser call her
- 40:03Speaker 1: stunning in beautiful.
- 40:04Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that's a good one. Yeah, that's a good one.
- 40:06Speaker 4: I would say, the notes thing I've only done like
- 40:11Speaker 4: a big notes guy, I've only done it like twice
- 40:13Speaker 4: in a year that I've lived with Beth. And then compliments,
- 40:17Speaker 4: I would say, I go in and out of complimenting,
- 40:21Speaker 4: Like I can have a month where I'm good, in
- 40:22Speaker 4: a month room not good, transparent.
- 40:24Speaker 2: I think I need to be better with that too.
- 40:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it goes like way further than you think. Yeah, Like,
- 40:29Speaker 4: because here's the thing, is like again in our heads,
- 40:31Speaker 4: like we obviously think that our girlfriends are beautiful, but
- 40:34Speaker 4: like you have to get into the habit of just
- 40:36Speaker 4: like saying it more. Yeah, because it means a lot
- 40:38Speaker 4: when you say.
- 40:39Speaker 1: I feel like my problem too is in my head,
- 40:41Speaker 1: hot and beautiful mean the same thing, but they don't.
- 40:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:45Speaker 2: Yeah, and I always call Kassie hot, but yeah.
- 40:50Speaker 4: Baby you're hot.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Yeah, that's things I'm doing now I'm moving into my partner.
- 40:55Speaker 2: It's not always.
- 40:56Speaker 1: Fifty to fifty, Okay, And you want some elaboration, Yeah, yeah,
- 41:00Speaker 1: I feel like with life, you're two independent people and
- 41:04Speaker 1: it's like a rope. At some point, someone's going to
- 41:07Speaker 1: have to pick up more slack than the other. Yeah,
- 41:09Speaker 1: and it's a team, whereas like it's not always just
- 41:11Speaker 1: like I'm going to do fifty percent of my roles
- 41:13Speaker 1: and you have to do fifty percent of that.
- 41:14Speaker 2: You're both one hundred percent.
- 41:15Speaker 1: And sometimes someone's gonna do one twenty, someone's going to
- 41:18Speaker 1: do fifty because you've got so busy at work that
- 41:20Speaker 1: one week and you're tired, and I realize that, and
- 41:22Speaker 1: I can do some more to make your life easier.
- 41:26Speaker 4: Consideration. Yeah, that's it.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Oh, things I'm doing now, I'm moving with my partner.
- 41:31Speaker 1: Have the tough chats prior to moving in money and cleanliness.
- 41:34Speaker 4: That's a good idea, that's great. Have you guys had
- 41:36Speaker 4: those chats. Yeah, we're getting a joint bank account with McQuary.
- 41:39Speaker 4: I have another one mate we've just moved their business
- 41:41Speaker 4: in McQuary, sign on some Patreon and cleanliness. Yeah, yeah, I.
- 41:44Speaker 1: Think that's going to be. It's a little bit of
- 41:46Speaker 1: trial and error too, because we actually don't know how like.
- 41:49Speaker 4: Is Cassie quite like neat freak clean?
- 41:52Speaker 1: Nah, I'm not use the word freak, just like for
- 41:54Speaker 1: very neat, I would say she's very neat, but then
- 41:56Speaker 1: also like just honestly.
- 41:59Speaker 4: Would you say she's no more. Yeah, yeah, like just
- 42:02Speaker 4: she's just like it. She's just like in the definition
- 42:04Speaker 4: of yeah.
- 42:05Speaker 1: She like occasionally, if she's really busy, she'll like leave
- 42:08Speaker 1: an active set on the thing or whatever I tell you.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Occasionally she'll just like leave an active set on the
- 42:15Speaker 1: ground or something like every nom and then she was
- 42:17Speaker 1: I'm so.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Sorry, I don't care.
- 42:18Speaker 4: That's funny.
- 42:19Speaker 1: I would say, like, yesterday, I'm staying at Jake's and
- 42:22Speaker 1: Beth had like her like little toiletries bag of whatever she.
- 42:25Speaker 4: Puts in the mess it's your house. Yeah, that was
- 42:29Speaker 4: from her. She's been home for let me just say one, Okay,
- 42:32Speaker 4: she's been home for a while from her little weak
- 42:35Speaker 4: trip where that toiletrys bag was being used and it's
- 42:37Speaker 4: still there.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Alright.
- 42:41Speaker 1: So things I'm doing now, I'm moving over my partner,
- 42:43Speaker 1: setting boundaries for a lone time. Oh okay, I definitely
- 42:48Speaker 1: I reckon I'm gonna like have a I haven't had
- 42:50Speaker 1: this yet, like time and a place where I was like,
- 42:52Speaker 1: I just like I just need to be a loan
- 42:54Speaker 1: for a second.
- 42:55Speaker 4: Yeah, that's funny, I would say. Beth and I didn't
- 42:57Speaker 4: talk about that. We didn't talk about a loans home,
- 42:59Speaker 4: we might have actually like not getting on top of
- 43:01Speaker 4: each other.
- 43:02Speaker 1: To be fair, it might be different now that I
- 43:03Speaker 1: have like a workplace, Yeah, because that will be my
- 43:05Speaker 1: alone time in quotes, and you could always kind of
- 43:07Speaker 1: chill there for a while, whereas like I'm kind of combining,
- 43:10Speaker 1: like my.
- 43:11Speaker 2: House is my home.
- 43:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I work. I would say Beth and I have
- 43:17Speaker 4: kind of had that, like it's an unspoken thing. We've
- 43:22Speaker 4: been pretty you know, let's just catch a vibe. Yeah, true,
- 43:28Speaker 4: you just get a vibe. Yeah, all right. Two more
- 43:31Speaker 4: things I'm things I'm doing now I'm moving in with
- 43:33Speaker 4: my partner. Check Ins kind of goes over laft of
- 43:35Speaker 4: the last month. I would say, I need to do
- 43:37Speaker 4: more check ins. Yeah.
- 43:38Speaker 1: We were really really good at started our relationship, but
- 43:40Speaker 1: now we're like we go, do you want to have
- 43:42Speaker 1: a check in?
- 43:43Speaker 4: And we go yeah, anything to check in? Nah, yeah
- 43:45Speaker 4: that's what we do. I know. Yeah, Okay, is that
- 43:47Speaker 4: still healthy? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah.
- 43:50Speaker 1: I suppose it's giving the person the opportunity to say something,
- 43:53Speaker 1: so yeah, it is healthy. And last one, I've never
- 43:56Speaker 1: lived with a girl before, so be open and ready
- 43:59Speaker 1: for criticism. Yeah, because I don't know I think I
- 44:01Speaker 1: will obviously just do some things that annoying of course. Yeah,
- 44:04Speaker 1: and you just have to be like that can annoy her?
- 44:06Speaker 4: Yeah, and I'll be like I can actually change that.
- 44:10Speaker 4: Here's the thing, Okay, here's funny things all right that
- 44:14Speaker 4: just like pop up. So I would say, so, I
- 44:20Speaker 4: have a lot of little things like I always start
- 44:25Speaker 4: I call Beth Picky, and I'll start if I if
- 44:28Speaker 4: I'm about to kind of like ask her to stop
- 44:30Speaker 4: doing something or ask her to go pick something up.
- 44:33Speaker 4: Like I got to say, Beth loves a horizontal surface,
- 44:36Speaker 4: loves a horizontal surface, you know, when she's been somewhere. Yeah,
- 44:42Speaker 4: I always will start it off with like, hey, Picky,
- 44:46Speaker 4: go what have I done? What have I done? But recently,
- 44:51Speaker 4: next to our kitchen sink is a drying rack or
- 44:56Speaker 4: if you've hand washed something, because we have a dishwasher,
- 44:58Speaker 4: and so if something in dishwasher, do and get dried,
- 45:00Speaker 4: put it in the drying rack and let it dry
- 45:02Speaker 4: and put it away. Beth, when the drying rack is
- 45:06Speaker 4: not in use, wants it to be put under the sink.
- 45:09Speaker 4: Takes up some space, and so it's like, look, I
- 45:11Speaker 4: get that, but also I just want it out. We
- 45:17Speaker 4: put it away. But it's funny how people are different.
- 45:22Speaker 4: I see your point. I want to leave it out.
- 45:25Speaker 4: He's like, here's the thing. Is like, I don't know why,
- 45:28Speaker 4: Like I think it's kind of completes a kitchen. But
- 45:32Speaker 4: Beth is like I wanted to wait, it's busy.
- 45:34Speaker 2: It's busy seeing there's little things like that.
- 45:38Speaker 4: Compromise. Yeah, yeah, compromise and do what she wants.
- 45:41Speaker 1: I dare say we are going to compromise more, but no,
- 45:43Speaker 1: I'm keen to like, I'm excited there's a new phase
- 45:46Speaker 1: in our relationship where taking things very slowly in the
- 45:48Speaker 1: sense of like this is November, will be three years,
- 45:51Speaker 1: about and half years, fair, two and a half years.
- 45:54Speaker 1: But now I'm excited, very keen just to like it's
- 45:57Speaker 1: like seeing her in a new light. Obviously fucking stated
- 46:00Speaker 1: for months of course, yeah, you've always yeah, but it's
- 46:02Speaker 1: just kind of like different. I'm like being reverse so
- 46:04Speaker 1: much after work, Yeah, which is kind of cool.
- 46:07Speaker 4: She's also like, I wouldn't I actually I don't know
- 46:10Speaker 4: Cassie super well, but from what I can gather from
- 46:12Speaker 4: maybe social media and what you say, is so she's
- 46:14Speaker 4: very structured, she's the most structured person constructured. Yeah, and
- 46:18Speaker 4: I'd be keen to see how you guys go with that, because,
- 46:21Speaker 4: like I would say, you're relatively unstructured, like you do
- 46:25Speaker 4: similar things every single day, but it might happen.
- 46:27Speaker 2: Then I have one rule that I'm not going to
- 46:29Speaker 2: compromise on.
- 46:30Speaker 4: You get one alarm. Look, I mean that's.
- 46:33Speaker 1: Valid because she's waken up at four thirty am, Mike.
- 46:36Speaker 1: If you have three alarms, like I can get to
- 46:38Speaker 1: sleep after one. Yeah, if you wake them up twice
- 46:40Speaker 1: or three times at four thirty.
- 46:41Speaker 4: Know, what she could do is like a good compromise
- 46:45Speaker 4: on that is either she just says, look, I will
- 46:46Speaker 4: do one alarm, or you could get something else that
- 46:50Speaker 4: wakes you up that's not noise, Like you can probably
- 46:53Speaker 4: have something that vibrates. You have something else. She could
- 46:56Speaker 4: have as many alarms as she wants.
- 46:57Speaker 2: That's a great. Yeah.
- 46:58Speaker 1: We had a fight about this. We've said something before
- 47:01Speaker 1: and stayed over a long time. I was like, can
- 47:03Speaker 1: you just wake up to one alarm?
- 47:04Speaker 4: Like it's an absurd hour in the morning, Like, and
- 47:05Speaker 4: I'm tired for this.
- 47:07Speaker 1: Yeah, and she goes, She goes, I don't know when
- 47:11Speaker 1: I when I click snooze.
- 47:13Speaker 4: I was like, well you do. She reckon sis in
- 47:17Speaker 4: like a like a sleep trance, and she's like, I
- 47:20Speaker 4: literally don't even remember hitting snooze. I was like, well
- 47:22Speaker 4: you do. That's not an excuse, what do you mean?
- 47:25Speaker 4: But like, yeah, so you were you trying to turn
- 47:29Speaker 4: it off. This isn't a good argument, like you did it,
- 47:32Speaker 4: Like you're clearly up and clicked it. I have gotten
- 47:38Speaker 4: to the point where so I very rarely needed to
- 47:41Speaker 4: set an alarm because I'm lucky enough to not have
- 47:43Speaker 4: to photo shoots fly. Yes, of course, yes except business
- 47:47Speaker 4: business stuff. But so literally though that actually we've got
- 47:53Speaker 4: a shoot coming up at it. I know. So the
- 47:57Speaker 4: last time I sat an alarm was for a flight.
- 48:00Speaker 4: And what I do is I set. I do set two,
- 48:03Speaker 4: but I set the first. I set. My goal is
- 48:07Speaker 4: to wake up on the first one, because I kind
- 48:09Speaker 4: of know what she is saying. Sometimes I will snooz.
- 48:15Speaker 4: I aim to snooze one right, and then I because
- 48:18Speaker 4: I want. I'm like, I do want. I'm just so tired.
- 48:20Speaker 4: I want nine more minutes and think that's how long
- 48:22Speaker 4: it is. It's like nine minutes. But I accidentally turn
- 48:24Speaker 4: it off and then I'll miss a flight. So I
- 48:26Speaker 4: will set yeah, bit two alarms ten minutes apart, so
- 48:30Speaker 4: then the second alarm wakes me up.
- 48:31Speaker 1: But I my goal is to wake up on the
- 48:33Speaker 1: first one. But if she had, like I don't know
- 48:34Speaker 1: if this is unfair, give me two. If she had
- 48:37Speaker 1: a flight or something, and like, I would understand two
- 48:40Speaker 1: or three alarms, but like seven days a week, I'm
- 48:42Speaker 1: not copying.
- 48:43Speaker 4: Give her two, give her two. Let her have one.
- 48:46Speaker 4: This vibrations she wants a Yes, the vibration things a great.
- 48:49Speaker 4: She could have as many as she wants. But give
- 48:51Speaker 4: her two.
- 48:51Speaker 1: Well, it's not called Norah Ring. There's another brand. They
- 48:53Speaker 1: reached out to me, their own Human. Yeah, she wants one,
- 48:55Speaker 1: They said, the would send me a free one.
- 48:57Speaker 4: Ultra Human. Yeah, fuck you, Ultra Human.
- 49:00Speaker 2: You I ate it.
- 49:00Speaker 1: They wanted an affiliate marketing thing. Hate that, and then
- 49:03Speaker 1: I talked I lost interest to me. But Cassie once once,
- 49:05Speaker 1: so I might just be like, yo, buy one. No,
- 49:07Speaker 1: I might just get the free one and then not
- 49:09Speaker 1: do the affiliate thing.
- 49:11Speaker 4: You don't have to.
- 49:13Speaker 1: That's a good idea, but uh, you know what time
- 49:22Speaker 1: it is bad? He's time for the related was bad.
- 49:23Speaker 4: He's boogie.
- 49:24Speaker 1: If you want to get a song added, simply comment
- 49:26Speaker 1: on the episode you are listening to, and I Oddie
- 49:28Speaker 1: Clark will add it. Yes, here we go, let's shuffle.
- 49:31Speaker 1: I've been adding a few so oh this is new.

- 49:36Speaker 1: and Elton John.
- 49:39Speaker 4: Maybe it's a live one.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Oh shit start so far?
- 49:48Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm not happy.
