- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Whether it's morning, afternoon, or evening, when you've decided to tune into this episode, I just want to say thank you.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: Thank you for taking some time out of your busy life and your busy day to spend some time with me.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: And as we are entering a new year, a lot of times we will be pushed to set resolutions for the new year.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: I will be honest, I'm not a big person who believes in resolutions.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: I believe in taking some time to reflect on the past year and asking some important questions and then asking questions about how you might want to experience the new year rather than just setting one or two resolutions.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: It's more about, you know, who do I want to be and how do I want to show up in the new year?
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: So thinking about this past year, asking yourself some important questions around, you know, what were the what were the the most memorable moments you had in the past 12 months?
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: What were those experiences that really meant something to you?
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: And and why did they mean something?
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: What did you get to experience in those moments?
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: So when you had an experience, what was the feeling?
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: What was the emotion?
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: What were the thoughts?
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: Um, and and why was that experience imprinted on you?
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: Why did it, why was it meaningful?
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Sometimes when we can take some time to recognize that the experiences that were meaningful to us, we can slow down enough to recognize that in those experiences, we're an illumination of our values.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: And our values really are our ground zero.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: They are a way that can help us move forward when we are facing challenging moments.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: I've had many conversations with clients over the past several days around really coming back home to values and recognizing that when life is extraordinarily challenging and we are unsure of the next step, sometimes just coming back to those top three, four, or five core values that we have and asking ourselves, if I were to lean into this, you know, particular value even 1% more, what action would I take?
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: And that can really help us move forward through those challenging moments.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: Also asking things upon reflection over you know the past year, what were the hardest things that I I faced and how did I face them?
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Who was I as I faced them?
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: What did I learn as I faced those those challenges?
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: How did I show up with those challenges?
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: Um, what surprised you most about this year?
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: What surprised you most about yourself over the past year?
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: What were those moments that were the most joyful for you?
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: Because what we've learned about joy is that that's that's a vibration level that can take us and move us forward.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: So, you know, recognizing and paying attention to and acknowledging those moments of joy are really, really important.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: And then, of course, just doing some reflection on what you might have done differently if you if you had the opportunity to do it over, not because we're ruminating and trying to say I should have done it this way, it's just from a place of self-compassion.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: What did I learn?
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: What did I learn if I were to face a certain situation again?
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: And and taking some time to really brag on yourself, you know, recognize what accomplishments you had.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: But beyond just the accomplishments, it's recognizing who you were and how you showed up.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: What strengths did you lean into this year?
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: What were those those moments where you were just proud of yourself for how you showed up and how how you handled yourself?
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Really, really leaning into a sense of gratitude, you know, and and as we go into the new year, it's giving yourself permission to release some old agreements that you might have with yourself and release just ideas and and ways of maybe showing up that you're ready to let go of as you enter into this new year.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: And as you enter into the new year, you know, you take those those moments of of knowledge and learning with you.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: It's um, you know, life is happening through us and for us.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: And it's recognizing that as we go through these experiences and we learn, sometimes we make mistakes, and it's not just honing in on I did something wrong.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: It's what did I learn from that experience?
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: How can I take this new knowledge and apply it as I move forward?
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: And ask yourself what you're ready to create in the new year.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: You know, who do you want to be in this new year?
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: What might you want to experience?
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: How do you want to feel and how do you want to show up in your relationships that mean something to you?
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: How do you want to feel in your own body?
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: You know, what how do you want to feel?
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: What do you want to experience from a health perspective?
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: What might you want to experience and create in your home life and in your environment?
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: Maybe we're asking, what am I, what am I being called to create in my career?
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: And so then you're coming to from you're entering into this new year with the ability to visualize and work towards something new.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: Because it's not just about um setting a one or two resolutions for the new year, it's it's really creating uh your life.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: You know, that's what this is the work that I do is all about is how do we move from this place of uh you know striving but in a place of thriving?
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: How do we move from a place of being on autopilot and into a place of generating the life we want to live?
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: So when we think about this new year, it's really asking those those conscious questions of, you know, who do I want to be over the course of the new year?
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: How do I want to show up?
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: How do I want to treat myself?
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: What might I want to experience over this next year?
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: What might I want to learn?
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: How might I want to contribute to the world at large?
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: And see what comes up for you.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: If you would like to talk about what maybe you have been working through in the past and you're wanting to create in the future, I am always willing and ready to have a conversation with you.
