  [SPEAKER_00]: The issue that is now breaking this debate wide open in living rooms and cafes on national television is energy, particularly its costs.

  [SPEAKER_00]: On a recent mainstream French broadcast, a commentator noted that France used to have the cheapest electricity in the world.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Not almost the cheapest, but cheapest because France had nuclear power, France had hydroelectric dams, France had EDF, which is their state energy monopoly that work flawlessly in delivered power to every French home at the lowest prices on earth.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Brussels declared that France must introduce competition into its market, its energy market.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But here's the problem, and any basic economists understands this, electricity is what economists call a natural

  [SPEAKER_00]: You can't duplicate the power grid.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So when you force artificial competition into a natural monopoly, you don't lower prices, you actually raise them.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You create what the commentator called parasites, middlemen, who produce not a single kilowatt of electricity, who simply force EDF to sell to them at below market rates, so they can resell it to French

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then on top of that, you have the EU's Russia Sanctions policy, France was buying cheap Russian gas and oil.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That pipeline is now cut, not by French decision, but by Brussels decision.

  [SPEAKER_00]: France is now forced to buy American liquefied natural gas, which cost dramatically more than Russian LNG, which only ends up lining the pockets of corrupt bureaucrats in Brussels.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And so if this commentator said that if he were leading France for a day as it were, he would ensure that their country left the EU reassert its national sovereignty and its own national destiny and he would get rid of the sanctions against Russia and he would abolish the scam of the European electricity market and they'd watch energy prices collapse.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now gang, what you've got to get is that this is a mainstream French news program and that was a mainstream French commentator on national television that was not Marine Le Pen.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Marine LePan, the long-time figurehead of the French nationals' right, was convicted earlier this week in a blatant kangaroo court for supposedly misappropriating EU funds and faces a five-year ban from public office.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Her successor is National Rally Party President Jordan Baudela, he's just 30 years old, but he's taking the nation by storm and the polls are staggering.

  [SPEAKER_00]: In November 2025, French Polster Docksaw, for the first time ever, projected Bartela winning the next presidential election against any opponent.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He pulls at 38% in the first round, more than any other candidate, by far, and then the models show him winning the second round, the runoff against every single challenger they tested him against, including winning with 74% of the vote against far-left leader John Luke Melanchol.
