Today we'll be talking about season one, episode eight of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Episode eight, last one of season one, huh? Finally made it to the end. I'm surprised we made it all the way through. Are you still hanging in there? Are you captured in the drama? Oh my goodness. Couldn't be any more captured. Comment where you're listening from, because that's really cool. All right. Anyway, recap of episode seven from season one. So this episode took place entirely in Vegas. The previous episode ended, I think, with a call. Jen. Yes. Was calling Zach. Yes. To, tell ⁓ where she was and that she didn't want to be there. They were at Chippendales. The experience. The oil, that. She kind of stayed out of that. There were, guess, the photo op where they were all in it. So I guess this picks up like right where that left off. Just a long, I guess there's just a long like text chain going on. doesn't want to talk to Jen, but they're texting back and forth like nonstop. seems like he was saying a lot of really shitty stuff to her. Demi was reading her texts. ⁓ Yeah. I at one point he was like, I don't love you anymore. Like you're garbage or ⁓ shit like Just really terrible stuff. Yeah. Something like disgusting. Yeah. You're disgusting. for literally just like stepping foot inside of Chippendales. So there's definitely some other issues going on there in that marriage. For sure. And meanwhile, he's out like gambling and doing whatever the hell he wants to do. So there's that. And then I guess there's ⁓ drama between. ⁓ Taylor and Dakota, or Taylor's like I don't even care to talk to him the night, like I'm going to sleep. But I guess he was a little upset and then he learned more the next day and was like more upset but then they talked it out. Did the girls leave before this episode started? called from there and then they left? In the party bus? Like ⁓ the three, the three that left. Yeah, she in the venue when she called Zach and then they left. ⁓ So, the call happened from the venue and the episode leaving on the party bus to go back to the Airbnb. ⁓ Left the other, what, four girls? Four of them. there's seven total. Whitney's not here in this episode. Right. Still. Obviously she didn't come to Vegas, didn't just show up in this one. No, she didn't. So, the other three girls is Jen, Taylor, and Michaela. Yes. They're the ones that left the venue. Yes. They're kinda sticking together. ⁓ the other thing in episode was ⁓ the Macy's Sunday Sinner thing. So Dakota up at the Taylor's sleeping, He barges upstairs, lays in bed with Taylor. They seem to be having a really good conversation. Starts off a little rocky. Then he's like apologizing and everything's going really well. Macy and Demi are outside the room. Macy and Michaela at first. Macy, Michaela outside. Demi joins them later. Demi joins and they're listening in. They're like, ⁓ wow, this is great. You know, they're getting along. They're making up. And then ⁓ alarm her phone goes off ⁓ and like, ⁓ shit, we're caught. And when you said that, I was like, ⁓ like, ⁓ it just went off for some whatever random reason. and they're like, ⁓ no, they're gonna know we're at outside the door. But it turns out that alarm was for her to amp herself up to tell Taylor about the Sinner Sunday confessional with Dakota. So happens, they run away, So then after dinner, Taylor, Macy and Michaela. Yeah. are all hanging out together. I guess the other girls are going out to the bar. Yes. Taylor can't go to the bar because she's on probation, which we learned. That was the reason. So Macy it up, know, hey, I got one of these confessions. ⁓ It ⁓ Dakota. do you want to hear it? ⁓ And she it to her. Taylor is Like, if it's true. Yeah. And she's always said that, like, if that is true, I'm done. Yeah, she's leaving him. She doesn't know if it's true. But with the lie she's heard, she thinks it could be true. Right, right. So she's just confused and doesn't know what to do. Yeah. And the girls were kind of like teetering on telling her or not because she's about to give birth. She's in Vegas. Right. But she to know before she gives birth and then like decides to marry this man. Right. Because she doesn't. previous what she said, like she, it's, don't let her get married and then immediately get divorced. And then it was also like, if you wait till after she gives birth, depending on the person, like postpartum depression kicks in, like you don't want to add to that. Yeah, even more, even more issues could arise. So it was like kind of like a now or never thing of like, either I tell her now or I might have to wait like up to six months, eight months to tell her. Yeah, might get married by then, who knows? Who knows? knows? Is there anything I missed? This was ⁓ episode seemed like a lot, but not a lot because it all took place in. Yeah, it was a lot of the same drama throughout. I don't think you missed that much. The only thing it ended on was with. Demi and Jesse kind of like berating Jen about Zach. ⁓ right. She left. I missed that. Yeah, she She went to see him. Yeah, I'm going be able to sleep. She goes and sees him. And then she comes back, she's texting the girls, she's, everything's great. We talked it out, everything's perfect. And all the girls are so of this and like, ⁓ no like this always happens. ⁓ He's a narcissist, like he's got you convinced that he's not a bad person when he probably really is. Yeah, so was, sorry, I missed that. No, you're good. much. And then there was a little bit of Whitney. I think. her husband was talking to Dakota? Did Dakota call? He was talking to Jesse's husband, Brett. I can barely keep the girls straight now. I'm trying to figure out which guys were talking. But the guys seem... In the later seasons, the guys become more prominent. Oh, jeez. And they actually have created now a dad talk. Oh, of course they have. Well, and all the guys, from what you've told me this episode, they seem to get along and... don't have drama and they're all like friends behind their wives backs. Basically the drama, they're just out of it, but they're all talking. So far the drama in season one they've stayed out of. I think they get pulled into the drama a little bit more in the later season. we'll figure that out. I saw a comment where it's like we need less of dad talk and more of mom talk. like it's like almost getting to me too much. It's the secret lives of Mormon wives, not husbands. Apparently the husbands are dramatic. Oh my goodness. All right. Well, if I didn't miss anything else too crazy, let's get on with our final episode of season one. So final episode of season one, episode eight called The Book of Rumor. Oh, yeah. Eight, seven episodes in, eight episodes in. We're going to name the episodes now. In our recap, we can go through all of them if you want. I just forgot to mention them earlier. So it starts off with Taylor, she's at her house and she's setting up baby stuff, getting ready for her son's arrival. She admits that she's taken a break from Dakota since Vegas. So even though she should be happy and excited right now, she's really stressed. Taylor's mom calls to check in on her and to ask how Vegas went. So I'm assuming that this is only like maybe a week out, because in Vegas she was 17 days away from giving birth. So I think it's probably been like about a week maybe since that trip. on the phone with Taylor's mom, Taylor tells her that it was more stressful than fun. And then she tells her about the message that Macy received. ⁓ Her mom asked if she has brought this up to Dakota yet. Taylor says that she hasn't confronted him yet, but he's on his way over now. ⁓ geez. so ⁓ she got this news. ⁓ left. She's taken a break from him for ⁓ week now, maybe. And he's on his way over. Right. OK. Taylor in an interview says that it could be Jenna, but she's already confronted Dakota about Jenna before, and he denied it. So she's like kind of hesitant to bring that up again because they've already like talked. through the Jenna aspect. Right, but he does have a history of lying. Right, and she says it does line up with the confessional because she has only met Jenna once. Okay. So that's what makes her think, like, maybe this is Jenna that's writing this. Right, right, and you put a little pressure on him, like, Macy has this confessional. Right. So Taylor's mom wishes that Taylor would have thought all of this through beforehand because Taylor on the phone was like, I just like he was lying and I can't trust him. And then Taylor's mom's basically was like, I wish you would have thought all of these things before getting pregnant with this man, kind of because she's like, now this isn't fair ⁓ before you a child into this world. ⁓ And all negativity is just really sad. Yeah. Yeah. And as Taylor's mom is saying that there needs to be a positive change, Dakota walks in the front door and like hears that. ⁓ And Taylor's is like. shit, like I need to get off the phone. So Taylor gets off the phone with her mom to talk to Dakota. So she's like, Dakota's here. I'm going to talk to him and Taylor's mom says, ⁓ let me know what happens. ⁓ Dakota's face is like, ⁓ shit, like what am I about to walk into? Taylor confronts Dakota about the message that Macy received has him read it and then the intro plays. OK. So while this like the quickest that you've ever gotten to the intro. Normally like ⁓ telling me a story. I'm like, man, we must be halfway through the episode. And you're like, ⁓ then the intro song plays. And usually like six minutes into like a 40 something minute episode. And I'm like, even I'm like, where am I at? And then I'm like, ⁓ my gosh. ⁓ So yeah, it was pretty quick. Dakota reads the message and says, that's so dumb. He says, it's the same issue over and over and over again, and it's stupid. So he just doesn't want to entertain us. He's like, we've already talked about this. We've already talked about the people I've been with. I was with those two girls. I told you about the two girls. Then I was with you. I've never cheated on you. Right. Yeah, but there's like outside. I don't know if I'd call it evidence, but this isn't her just dwelling on things. There's literally more she didn't know about when they talked about it before. So he then proceeds to accuse Macy of sending this message to herself. ⁓ my gosh. ⁓ says that he could see Macy sabotaging their relationship because she doesn't like Dakota. So he is his play is let me throw this back on Macy. Yeah, I think she is trying to sabotage us. Okay, interesting. But okay. He says whoever it is, not true. Taylor says, like she keeps questioning everything. Is it true? ⁓ this is true, the relationship will be done. She says she needs some context to this and Dakota's like, what context do want for me? Because if Like none of this is true. Like there's no context to give. Right. Taylor says she really wants him to just think about it. And then Dakota responds. He doesn't need to think about it because he knows it's not true. ⁓ Taylor is like really emphasizing, like, if this is true, I will find out and we are done. And then Dakota is like pretty fed up at that point. He goes, I know you're you're done. You're done. It's all I hear is you're done. And Dakota says, ⁓ never hear that you're going to stay. So he is kind of frustrated that Taylor just keeps throwing all these threats out I'm going to leave, I'm going to leave, I'm going to leave. And he goes, you've never told me that you're going to even stay. Right. Right. Just leave already. Right. Taylor in an interview says that when the swinging scandal happened, she hit rock bottom and she didn't know if Mom Talk was going to survive. Then she met Dakota and things just moved really, really fast. She says she wants to trust Dakota, but when you've been lied to so many times, it's hard to. that scene ends with them still in conflict. And then we cut to Macy driving around ⁓ in her car. OK. ⁓ Macy gets a phone call and it's Dakota. Dakota calls and asks if they can meet up and talk in person about the message that she shared with Taylor. Okay, interesting. Macy in an interview says that Dakota has never reached out to her ever. So she is shocked to say the least. She says she is nervous because she has seen how loud and angry Dakota can get in his confrontations, but he shouldn't be getting mad at her. He should be getting mad at himself. Right, right. She agrees to meet up with Dakota, but she only has 15 minutes. Then she pulls into like the parking lot where they're meeting up. And then it's like a voiceover. It's like, bitch, I'm here. ⁓ Dakota gets out of his truck and into her car and they both sit in for a minute. And then like Dakota laughs because he's like, this is uncomfortable. Macy suggests that they go to get a soda. So she starts driving. Dakota says that he feels so stressed right now and he says things aren't good. Macy asks if it's about the confession and he says yes about the confession and says that every time he thinks they're about to get through something and have a breakthrough, something else happens. Something else comes up. Yeah. He tells Macy that this is something he can't control but causes a lot of tension and issues. And typically these issues come from Macy. So he's saying like, hey, you cause a majority of our issues in our relationship. He feels like Macy is always trying to stir the pot and he's accusing Macy of trying to sabotage our relationship. Wow. Like from the past episodes, this one included, I guess eight. Have you seen that? No, because you think about it. So she meets up with Taylor after her arrest. Yeah. She does tell her, like, I'm concerned about Dakota. Right. So I guess maybe that's putting a little bit of doubt in Taylor's head. And it's getting ready for the baby shower. So she's already pregnant at that point. Then after that, she comes over to talk to Dakota. Right. And then they just start and up just starting to fight. So like that wasn't like her doing their fighting, which Macy brings up at the end of this conversation was like, sat there and I listened to both of your sides and I, I didn't say Dakota, it's your fault. Right. I was seeing where both of you were coming from. And I said that. So I'm not trying to be the wedge in your relationship, but Taylor is my friend. Yeah. So I get something like I need to tell her because if it were me, I would want to know. Yeah. Yeah. OK. So I think Dakota is just trying to like deflect these issues to someone else to have his problems or. Yeah. Like he's brought on by somebody else somehow. Yeah. He wants an out, I feel like. Like he and the easiest person to pick is me. Yeah. OK. And says something at the end of this that you'll find interesting. which is kind of to that tune. ⁓ so ⁓ he's accusing Macy sabotaging our relationship. Macy disagrees with him and says that her thought process was she should probably want to know before she has the baby. She said she did ask Micaela and Demi for advice and they both told her to tell Taylor. So it wasn't just her. decision. right. Yeah, she did talk to them. They like Demi was like, you have to tell him. So she's like, it's not just me that thought it was a good idea to tell Taylor. It was a majority of this group. Right. Dakota says that he's angry at Macy and Macy says, why didn't even do anything? Dakota says that she did. And Macy says that she would rather know something like this before giving birth and work it out and then have this enjoyable experience of birth with their son. And Dakota doesn't think that this was a good time either because she might have her baby tomorrow. Right. So then Macy asks, should I have never told her then? And Dakota says she should have come to him first if she wanted to confront someone. And Macy says that her loyalty isn't with him, it's with Taylor. That's fair. And also like. So Macy's going to confront Dakota just for him to say it's not true for her to then never tell Taylor. Yeah, exactly. You know, like you can't make. Well, that's the end of that. Let me make the decision for my friend if this is OK for her relationship. Right. You know, like it's not that's not even Stephen there. Macy says she wasn't going to not tell her because if the were reversed, she would want to know. Dakota says at the end of the day, he chooses Taylor and wants the best for Taylor and Macy agrees and says, I saw your fight. I was there. I saw both sides. She says she is not after him, but She is Taylor's friend first. Macy then says that they both have issues ⁓ and they go her and say it's her fault. Dakota says, I'm not looking for someone to blame, but at the end of the day, You're the only one I could blame. So you're just blaming people. That's a direct quote was I'm not looking for someone to blame, but at the end of the day, I can blame you like you're the only one I could blame. Here's my out. Here's the way I'm trying to get out of this. Macy in an interview says it's extremely weird that Dakota is getting mad at her. And if he's innocent, why is he this upset? Yeah, absolutely. She says it makes her think that he's hiding something. Yeah. They end the conversation with Macy saying she doesn't have bad intentions, but she feels like he does. he is just blaming her for his problems. She says, let's agree to disagree. ⁓ then he gets out of the car. So yeah, a lot going on between Taylor Dakota Macy in the first ⁓ of this episode. I think if I were Macy's shoes, I would have done the exact same thing of, I don't know if this is true. Yeah, but here's what I got. Right. I'm not trying to start shit, but if you got this, I would hope you would come to me and tell me, because I want you to be able to decide how to handle that in your relationship, because I already know it's an issue. It's not like this wasn't an issue to begin with. And then she got this random ass confession and then she just went to go stir the pot. Yeah, there was history there. Right. So possible issues. So it's like. Yeah. I think Dakota just needs to leave everyone alone and just. I don't know. The only thing you can do at that point is like prove yourself day after day and. That's it. And when you go around certain pointing fingers at everyone else, it doesn't make you look good now. so cuts to restaurant with Whitney and her family. Whitney is out to dinner with her mom and dad, sister, their kids ⁓ and Connor. I she has. multiple sisters there. She has two younger sisters. so they like a box on the table and her family's like, what is that? And she had brought a cake for everyone. Whitney in an interview says that it's a family dinner right now and they go to dinner with her family once in a while, but she has some news to share with them. ⁓ Connor asks she's getting for. a drink and Whitney says she's trying to find a yummy drink that's not alcoholic. The way she said it was weird. I'm like, but you don't drink anyways. So like what's going on here? OK. Her mom then asked her what's going on. And Whitney just says she's so sick of her friends ⁓ the mom talk group. And they're all just in this unnecessary drama that she wants to know parts in. Whitney says in an interview that she's been struggling lately to decide if she wants to be in Mom Talk anymore. on recent events, she really doesn't want to. Whitney says Macy's launch party is coming up and she wants to go to support Macy and be there for her, she doesn't want to be around those people. Okay. Whitney tells her mom that she wants to focus on her family and focus on her homestead. Whitney's mom's face is like, yeah, OK, like, yeah, keep doing that. ⁓ server then sets the cake down on the table in front of her mom, and her mom starts to cut into the cake. But she keeps hitting something in the middle of it. Her dad asks if it's a trip to Italy because he's never been. ⁓ Whitney keeps saying, what's that, ew, what's that? finally, Connor's like, stop saying ew. And then her mom pulls out a pregnancy test. And so Whitney reveals that she's pregnant. She just wasted a cake. Her sister asked if that's the actual piece. And when Whitney says yes, she's so grossed out. Whitney was like, there's a cap on it. She goes, the germs are around it. And like, Whitney really thought that. putting the cap on was fine. No, that cake is tainted. You can't eat that. So Whitney and mean, unless you're like in Demi's world, then maybe it's okay. But we can just send it to Brett. Yeah, let him eat it. Whitney in an interview says she wanted to do something really creative to tell her parents. And then the producers asked, was that the pee stick? And when he says, yeah. And she goes, I didn't think it through. She goes, didn't eat any of that cake today. ⁓ my goodness. They did not. I hope nobody really wanted cake. There's a cake on the table. We like, ⁓ man, what is this? We some cake. Yeah, I'd be pissed. need to go buy another one. Her youngest sister asks if it's a boy and Whitney says that they don't know and they're not going to find out because this is going to be their last kid. Okay. So they already have two. Third will be it. Whitney says in an interview that she's pregnant and she wants people around her supporting her and uplifting her and she doesn't want to be a part of mom talk, but she has been making all this money and it's their livelihood. So she doesn't know what she's going to do. Right. We cut to Jen's house. says that the last couple weeks have been really crazy for them. Jen says that as long as they have God on their side, being an amazing father and amazing husband comes a lot easier when you put God first. So she's really leaning into her religion right now to help her through. All the issues they're having. Everything that's happening. Right. She says that she sees his potential like God sees his potential. So she's still not like fully. Like they haven't fully resolved everything, because she's like, I see your potential. I can see someone says that like you're not. You have potential, potential. Jen says that after Vegas, it put them in a bad spot in their relationship. They have been praying a lot and trying to work on their marriage. but they just found out that Zach got into medical school in New York City, which is one of Zach's top picks for medical school. okay. Wow. Jen doesn't know if medical school is worth it right now because it's hard on marriages and she doesn't know that with everything going on, if their marriage could even last him that like committed and focused on something. Yeah. Jen thinks that Zach should take a year off from school. Zach says school doesn't start till August, so it gives them months to work things out. So assuming this is probably around like March. Yeah. I'm not sure. But like would he be going to New York by himself? ⁓ The whole family's moving? Okay, all right. Jen thinks that with all the stuff they have been trying to navigate, she's not sure if their marriage will last. Jen asks if Zach has hope for their future. Okay. So she's really questioning a lot right now. Jen says she knows Zach ⁓ thinks that York is where they are supposed to be. She says she doesn't know if it makes sense. She says it holds her back from business opportunities with mom talk. Yeah, she would be. kind of out of that. So she is telling Zach that in an interview, says that it's hard because she's the provider, which ⁓ did find out that he was doing. ⁓ was flipping houses and stuff, but she probably was the main source of income. She says that if they're going to do these hard things in life like medical school, they need to be on the same page. Jen tells Zach that mom talk is important to her. And that she has established that in Utah. Zach says that he's happy that she has that, but he doesn't really care. ⁓ OK. Jen, in an interview, that Zach's first reaction is always to fight or share his opinions and then to support and validate her, which makes it really hard for her to share her feelings and thoughts with him because she's getting put down all the time. And she says that if he doesn't start treating her better, he knows that she won't stay with Okay. So. Taylor and Dakota fighting, Zach and Jen fighting, Dakota fighting with Macy, Whitney's pregnant, like doesn't want to be a part of Mom Talk. Ruin the cake. It really feels like right now in this moment, I was like, wow, Mom Talk is a real hot mess. How are any of these people going to like remain in this group together? And that's it. It ends there. Season one is it. No more Secret lives, it's over in one episode. It's our one season. It's done. It's mom talks dissolved. The reality shows over. Everything's Yeah. Right. What's next? What are we doing next? What's our next? Macy's launch party. Macy has her own business. She's doing things. She's living life. All right. She's showing the men in the Mormon church that women can be independent. That is what Macy is doing. And all the girls are here for it. OK, so Macy's baby mama launch party is happening. Oh, like the photos and everything that was for the business, the business wasn't a thing yet. Right. She she was like building it up. Yep. She brought some samples to Taylor that she just had like her inventory. She's building up. She's getting the store ready. so now this is actually this is the launch. This is the launch. This particular party to was the launch to the live website. OK. So is there a store? There is a storefront. OK. That she was setting up. It was all pink had baby mama stuff. then the website was going live, going live. So the store isn't open yet. This is like the launch of the website. there'll be this was more so the launch of the website. OK. Which maybe then kicks into the store. Right. OK. Yeah. So Macy says that her site is going live. Jessie shows up to do Macy's hair and Jessie says that in a religion where men are put on a pedestal, MomTalk doesn't put up with the patriarchy. She says that Macy is a prime example of what MomTalk stands for and all the girls look up to Macy. She's excited to see her kick ass in the business world. All right. Which. Jessie is already an established business owner with her hair studio and just Academy. Yeah, just and Academy event space. Yeah. So it seems like a lot of these girls do have pretty. Successful businesses. Right. Right. Macy says that she invited everyone from MomTalk, even Whitney, to the launch party. ⁓ asked if Macy has talked to Whitney at all, and Macy says that she heard from Whitney. Macy says she hasn't even thought about it once, though, because there's too much going on to worry it. If someone is gonna come support her or not, it is what it is. the girls are telling her that it's good she's not thinking about Whitney and Michaela says that Whitney just wants ⁓ to be talking about her. So just not focus on her. So I guess Macy sent a text to Whitney inviting her to this and she hasn't heard back from Whitney at all. Okay, interesting. Macy in an interview says she hasn't gotten anything from Whitney and not a text on an Instagram like nothing. She says she knows that Whitney knows how much this means to her. She's been around since the beginning and even saw the original concept for the business. OK, she says that if Whitney doesn't come, the future of their friendship is really in jeopardy because she just feels like this is the one thing you can do for me. Right. Yeah. Show up for your friend. Jen shows up in an interview. She says she hasn't seen the girl since Vegas. So again, I think it's probably about a week because Taylor is at this party and is still pregnant. ⁓ my goodness, still pregnant. So I think that she's probably like 10 days out now from her due date at this point. Jen says she hasn't seen the girl since Vegas. And part her didn't want to come to the launch party because she is still recovering from that weekend. She says it's important that she supports me seeing her business, but she hopes the girls can look past everything and forgive Zach. So, just doesn't want to deal with it right now. She's going through it. Leila asked Jen how she is doing. Demi goes, don't sugarcoat it, baby. The way Demi talks, like that might be her and good for her, but like, I don't know why it rubs me the wrong way. it seems like there's a time and place for talking like that. And asking a depressed lady how she feels is not that type of place. I don't Last episode, she said something like, oh, we're here for you, baby girl. And like the way you said it, like it seemed like you were just annoyed by the way she was. I was because it was right after she hounded Jess. Yeah, yeah. Jen, yeah. It's right after she hounded Jen. And then she's crying. she's like, oh. You're not adding it up. And then she goes, oh, we're here for you, baby girl. And I'm like. That's what this is all about, empowering each other. after you just hounded the shit out of her. My emotions, so maybe I'm being too harsh on Demi right now, but I don't know. I think I would slap someone if they said that was me. Violence is not the answer. says that Vegas was one of the hardest weekends of her life. Demi says, I hope you know that it was all him. So she's like, it was his was ⁓ his was his like all that. And Jen's like staring at her and she's like, yeah. And like, kind of like, yeah, I know. ⁓ just realizing it now or no, like, kind of like that's obvious. Yeah. Yeah. OK. Layla in an interview says she thinks that Jen is fully aware of how controlling Zach is and Jen will start to disassociate when he starts doing that or when it gets brought up. OK. And she doesn't know how to speak up for herself. So Layla thinks that she is. fully aware and doesn't need to be told that this is happening. She needs help to be empowered. To deal with it. And to know what to say. So I think maybe that's why the other girls are so quiet. It's like she doesn't need to be told. She knows. So Macy's party, let's take a step back. Macy's party is really cool. So she has a bunch of different vendors at this launch party and she says that it's mostly all collabs with other influencers in Utah. So it's like, you know the charcuterie boards that are written out into letters. So it says like baby mama and it has charcuterie in it. do not know about this, please me more. ⁓ Well, it's like it's like a 3D letter and then you put the charcuterie in it. So it's like you have a B. OK. And then you like put the cheese and meats and crackers and then an A and then a B. And then so she has that like a big thing of that. ⁓ Like the balloons are balloons like galore. OK. So that's really cool. She has a tattoo artist there tattooing people. And Michaela was like, this is really cool. She has that. But. I think most of the people here in Mormon. Yeah, they don't do the tattoos. Jesse gets a tattoo. OK, so she gets D for her maiden name. So it's a small little D that she got. OK, so it's it looks like a really cool party. A lot of like effort and thought went into it. the girls are kind of like, ⁓ can't believe Macy's killing it over here with all the things that are going on. So they're all talking like, ⁓ Macy seems so calm, cool and collected. This party's going great without a hitch. I don't know how she's doing it. And then Taylor goes, I don't know how she's doing it either. But I also, if it were me, I don't know how she can focus without her best friend here. So she's talking about Whitney. Demi says she has an idea and she knows it's kind petty, but obviously Whitney hasn't shown up yet. She says that if Whitney doesn't walk through the door by the time the countdown hits one for the site to go live, they all unfollow her and all the girls agree to this. So they're like, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like they're. too? Like, did she bring it up? She wasn't at the table. OK, yeah, like I wouldn't like let Macy have her time. Don't bring something shitty like that up to her. So it's all the other girls at the table, six of them. it's Jen, Demi, Jesse, Michaela, Taylor, and Layla. Taylor says in an interview that it's not shocking Whitney didn't show up to the party because she didn't show up to her baby shower. Which. That was a little different, think. don't think those are comparable in my opinion. Yeah. But sure. Taylor says since one of the core values of mom talk is to support one another and uplift one another Whitney is not doing that She says because of this Whitney is not a good representation of mom talk and should not be in the group Okay, I mean it's hard like Whitney found out everybody's talking shit about her behind her back except for Macy so you don't want to see everybody else, but she could have at least like Responded to Macy's text or something And that's my issue right now is. If Macy were this best friend that when he says she is, which Whitney says is, yeah. She supported Whitney, she's reached out to Whitney, she's kept in contact with. Yeah, she's had Whitney's back through this whole season. There's nothing that. wouldn't do for a friend like that. Yeah, but I don't care if someone had someone else at a party. I'm showing up to the party, even if it's just to say congratulations, maybe not say the whole time, and then leave. But even if she doesn't come, at least call her, reach out, something. Be like, hey, I'm really proud of you. This is great, but I just can't be there. Everybody talks shit about me. catch up. Grab or some soda, whatever the hell they drink. don't know. No, do something. doing nothing right now. Like I'm like, that's bad. OK. That's shitty. So she doesn't show up at all. No. OK. So Macy comes over to the table and girls tell Macy this plan to unfollow Whitney. Macy says that she thought they already did unfollow her. So she's like, I thought you guys already followed her because Whitney unfollowed everybody. Right. Yeah. So you would think you would just. Jessie says that they were taking the high road, if she doesn't come tonight, it's game over. Macy says in an interview that Whitney did it first, so she understands why the other girls are doing it, but this could cause her a lot of extra drama that she doesn't need on a night like this. Yeah, no, absolutely. So she's like, hey guys, like, do you do you, but like tonight really, or like leave the event and do it. To do it during the countdown, feel like, was a little bit much. They all had their phones out, and they were on her page, waiting to unfollow her. that's kind of shitty. Maybe it's like, if it hits it, then leave and go unfollow Yeah, or if you guys want to do all that, do whatever. But don't bring Macy into it when it's her day and her party. She's standing in the middle of them, all of them counting down, and they're all like, So the countdown hits one. All the girls unfollow Whitney. Layla says that they don't need to be friends with her if she doesn't want to be friends with them or support one of their friends. Demi doesn't see a place for her Mom Talk. Jesse said that they made the decision she is no longer a part of Mom Talk, and they are in their post Whitney era and she couldn't be happier. ⁓ Right after the countdown, Jen leaves ⁓ says that Zach has the flu, she has to get home to help with the kids. And all the girls called bullshit on this and said that she left because Zach didn't want her to be there. ⁓ Zach wanted her home. Yeah. Demi thinks that Jen is staying for the sake of her kids thinking that Zach will change. But she feels like Jen's life is being robbed. Yeah. OK. So ⁓ pieces out and then they all start dancing on the dance floor because Mikaela's like, what, the dancing queen is leaving? ⁓ yeah, so she. she heads out. We cut to Taylor's house and Taylor's water is broken. Oh, she's finally going to have the baby. Finally having our baby. All right. I was going say we couldn't end the season without this. So it's a home video. They didn't have cameras there. So it's Dakota filming on his iPhone or probably like a camera. Taylor says that even though their relationship is rocky right now, this is in an interview. She's just really excited at this point. So they're talking about. how like the video was like they're talking about like how they were just like standing there talking and then all of a sudden her water broke and she didn't know if she peed herself. So she like sniffed her pants, but it was water. was like, yeah, she sniffed her pants and it's water guys. So we're heading to the hospital. And they just, they do seem like really generally like excited and happy. So that was like a good side of them besides this constant same argument, which kind of is starting to get old at this point. Yeah. Throwing them out of the car. him not showing up places. Right. ⁓ the same fight, too. Yeah. ⁓ God. ⁓ they're headed to the hospital. It then cuts to a roller rink, which I was like, that's so cool. I love roller rinks. And Michaela's birthday. So Michaela's husband plans a birthday party for her. OK, they're all going to a roller rink and she's really excited. She says that she remembers in middle school going to the roller rink and meeting guys and. So she told all the girls to wear something sparkly and show up and they're all gonna have fun. So it's the six girls minus Taylor and Whitney. And no, Jen doesn't show up. So it's only the five girls. their husbands. All the girls are skating around and the girls ask if Zach's coming because Jen told them that she has the flu now, so she couldn't come. And the girls say. Zach better not show up because like the husbands invited him to because. yeah, they are. Yeah, they all do kind of. OK, so the flu might have been a real thing. Might have been a real thing. But now, Jesse, Jesse sniffing out, she says she thinks it's bullshit. She's not really sick. And she just made that up because Zach didn't want to come. OK, also, yeah, that could be the same. So we're not really sure. But more so. She just didn't want to fooled me. Yeah. Macy says she's glad mom talk is all together except for Whitney because she isn't in the group anymore. ⁓ man. Macy has taken the opinion Whitney is out. Whitney is out of mom talk. Macy tells the girls that Taylor is going into labor and all the girls freak out. Macy says that Taylor and Dakota were mid fight when she started having contractions. geez. And Michaela says when they were fighting in Vegas, her belly was going wild. ⁓ Macy thinks that the baby wanted out and then Layla and Demi were like, I would have wanted to stay in like, I'm not coming out into this world. Macy says she hopes nothing but happiness for them, especially since they are bringing a baby into the world, but she has a bad feeling about him and that she like can't shake this feeling about Dakota. Taylor thinks that if this confession is true. She doesn't know if Taylor could survive it or if mom talk would either. So she's like, we already went through one scandal. Yeah, scandal. It almost broke Taylor. Then she got arrested like she's like, I don't know if if this crumbles, like, I don't know if Taylor can survive another scandal. Right. So girls take a break from skating and they're all eating and hanging out. ⁓ And walks in? Whitney. Whitney shows up to Micaela's birthday. party. But does not show up to launch party. How did she know they were having the party for Micaela if everybody's unfollowed her, she's unfollowed them? ⁓ one. ⁓ all like, did you invite her? Did you invite her? Did you invite her? Probably the producers invited her. Yeah. mean, how would she know that? ⁓ this party's going on. Yeah. So she shows up and all the girls are floored. Everyone is looking super uncomfortable and she sits down and Jessie goes, why the fuck are you here? geez. Whitney says that she's here for Michaela and Demi goes, you guys aren't even friends and doesn't like you, which is when I was like, what happened? Yeah. Between Whitney and Michaela. Yeah. nothing was shown and they were were close. Right. Then when everyone started having problems with her, Michaela started having problems with her, but nothing was shown where she would have like. The only thing I can go back to where Michaela started being more distant from was Macy's weekend where they went on that trip to Park City. Yeah. Because when Whitney was crying in the closet, like Michaela, like was over in the corner, but they showed nothing between the two. Right. Right. So ⁓ and that, when the girls were talking before Whitney showed up, they were asking Michaela, like your clothes with Whitney. do you think she's like open minded to have these conversations? And she was like, listen, I've been close friends with Whitney and like, just, she is who she is. So she wasn't saying like, ⁓ I hate Whitney too. Like I have a problem with her. I don't understand like where the tension between those two came from. Maybe it was something on TikTok and we missed it. Maybe. don't know. I feel like Makayla sometimes like I see her posts and she like pick a fight. And then she really picks a fight. ⁓ she like posts about people. And I've seen like stuff about people's husbands, like and she blocks people left and right. Huh. OK. I don't know if she's impulsive, but like, yeah, I don't know. I don't I just I don't understand why Michaela hates her so much. So what what happens? What does Whitney say? So. Whitney goes over to talk to Michaela and she sits down next to Michaela and she like Michaela just looks checked out. Whitney says, got you a present. Do you want to open it? Michaela tells her I'm going to open up gifts later. And then in an interview, Michaela says that she thinks she stepped on that gift. She accidentally stepped on it. ⁓ ⁓ Whitney tells Michaela, I'm going to leave. It's really awkward. And she says, shit. ⁓ Bye, love you. And Michaela just like doesn't respond. Weird. Whitney pulls Macy aside to talk. So Whitney and Macy go off and all the other girls are talking. That's when they're like, who invited her? Like, how is she here? And no one can answer. Whitney admits in an interview that she's been trying to talk to Macy for the past couple of days and say that she was sorry for not showing up, but Macy hasn't responded. ⁓ OK. Whitney really wants Macy to know that her not going to her launch party had nothing to do with her not wanting to support her. And Macy has always been there for Whitney. And she really wants to be there for her right now. Yeah. Being there for her would have been reaching out before the launch Yeah, before the party. If you're not going to go, at least text her, her beforehand, and say something. This is giving me sketchy vibes. It's like you piss someone off, and now you're realizing that they're not going to just like. unconditionally be there for you. And like now you're trying to backpedal and show up at this party and like, yeah, make someone talk to you. Yeah. I got really bad vibes now during this from Whitney. And I'm like, this is the first time I'm like, OK, like this is really shitty. OK, OK. So Whitney gets Macy like a ring pop and like just goes, she's like, I got you a ring pop. You hate me right now, don't you? ⁓ ⁓ says she doesn't expect a lot from friends, but this was the one thing that she did expect and all she wanted or needed from Whitney was a text and would have been fine, but she got nothing. Yeah. Macy said it felt selfish to her. And when he goes, why? What do you mean, why? ⁓ Yeah, selfish. She texted you, text her back. Right. Like ⁓ it's That is selfish. You were putting your feelings first because you didn't want to be around those girls. that you couldn't even bring yourself to call or text your best friend. Macy says that she's tried so hard to support Whitney and the one time she needed support, Whitney wasn't there for her. Whitney says she just wasn't in the space and she needed to separate herself from the other girls. And Macy goes, even me? Whitney goes, yeah. So Whitney's saying like, I also need to separate myself from you. And when Macy asked why, ⁓ goes, well, you're friends with them. And I would never ask you not to be friends with them. But like, I just needed space. You can text her. Yeah. ⁓ meanwhile, the other girls are trying to figure out Whitney was there. Apparently no one in the group invited her. I'm assuming the husband maybe. ⁓ this is one of my assumptions. Maybe one of the husbands invited Connor and then he told Whitney. ⁓ yeah. But that's like that's kind of weird, though. like, hey, we want you to come, Because I heard later that they're all like really close with Connor, even when they're fighting with Whitney. I know they're all like nodding on the drama and stuff. yeah, you should know, like, hey, like Whitney's not invited. Don't invite Connor. Because when all the girls are trying to figure out why Whitney was there, like the husbands were suspicious. Like, ⁓ we don't know what's going on. They probably had like a group chat being like, ⁓ see you at the roller rink later. Not thinking that Connor's on the chat. So that's a good, yeah, Demi wants to know what possessed her to show up. And Jesse says it's because it's on Whitney's terms. Jesse says that if any of the girls add her back to the group, ⁓ she'll be done when she's like, you better not add her back to this group. Jessie thinks Whitney is there to kiss Macy's ass and get on her good side. Jessie thinks that Whitney feels like she lost control and she's here to try to get it back. I don't disagree with this. back, everybody. You've been booted. I think over Macy. OK. Because she's realizing that she's totally been kicked out of this group. Yeah, yeah. None of them want to deal with her. Right. And if she has any sort, like she said, this is my livelihood. If she has any sense of like staying in this group, Macy's her way in. Yeah. Well, you should have at least texted her or gave her a call. Yeah. Be a decent fucking person. Also, like, so there's the mom talk thing. All these girls have a significant amount of followers on their own, right? Yeah, but they get more when they're all together, because, like, for example, like the ones I see is like, ⁓ the the original trio is back together. And it's like right now, like Macy. Mikaela and Whitney and all the conflict. People blow up. Right. So it's like so it gets more views. Right. So whenever like it's like drama happening and then all of a sudden someone's in one person's tick tock or someone's on. OK. The group together as a whole gets more followings like when they post together or when they like interact with one another than like then just being on her own and Broadway. Like OK. People are like, yeah, that's cool. You're doing Broadway. Good for you. And where's the mom talk drama? Right. But it's like. And when all the mom talk girls showed up for her first, like her first showing of Chicago, in that auditorium was on tape. Like Jen showed up. Like, why is she here? Because she started beef with Whitney. Like, like, take talk blows up when all of them are together because like it's like, what about this drama and this? Like, you know, like it's just. Yeah, I guess they're better in numbers. Yeah, that makes sense. OK. Can she just I mean, she can just go off and make do her home setting TikTok and maybe she'll get some good follows there. Maybe I think she would have to rebrand herself a little bit. I don't know. I you'd be into it from dildos to horses. Oh, right. Right. Different brands will be reaching out. So we're back at Whitney and Macy's conversation. Whitney tells Macy that she has every right to be mad and she's upset that this was like the circumstances, but she needed separation. Macy then asks why she's there today if she needs separation and then Whitney doesn't respond to that. Macy in an interview says that what is done is done and she can apologize, but Macy's never gonna forget. It's fair. She doesn't know if she feels bad. Like, so she doesn't know if Whitney feels bad about what she's done, and she doesn't know if Whitney even cares. Yeah. She just thinks Whitney is saying what she thinks she needs to say to be able to move on. Try and, yeah, to try and still be part of the group. Macy tells Whitney that it will take some time, but she has a wallop now and she tells Whitney that she is scaring her lately and Whitney says I'm scaring myself. It's back to the other girls with the husbands and the husbands saying like the husbands are saying, ⁓ she's loving every minute of this. She keeps looking down at here. talking about Whitney, so like, I interesting during. during her conversation with Macy, Whitney is facing that group and she keeps like looking past Macy at the group and like smiling. So I think she's enjoying the attention that the other girls are like focusing on why she's here. all like on why she's there. They're probably trying to like. look and see like how's Macy reacting what are they saying? Jesse is like all over the trying to listen trying to read their lips like what's going on what's the vibe and then yeah and then Whitney's like all the attention just like yeah and Jesse says it's giving serial killer vibes ⁓ geez we're back on the everyone Yeah, Zach's going to kill Jen. Whitney's going to kill somebody. We just need to turn this into a true crime show. Eventually, it might be on one of your true crime podcasts. Maybe it's a murder mystery. Like, can we have a murder mystery dinner? Who killed Whitney in the living room? What was the weapon? A clue murder mystery dinner would be awesome. Secret lives of Mormon wives. Clue murder mystery dinner. We might. Yeah, we might be able to market this. I don't know. I think we should throw one. That would be a of fun We're back at Macy and Whitney. Macy tells Whitney that she is in her doghouse and she will let her halfway out. Whitney says, I will it and they hug goodbye. Micaela at this point sitting in the booth, she looks so upset. She's not talking to anyone. She's not entertaining this drama about Whitney. Again, she's the one that always says Whitney wants us to talk about her. So she's always like, let's not talk about her. Michaela says Mom Talk is better off without Whitney. She does admit that Whitney brings a lot of views and attention to Mom Talk, but she doesn't think that they need her. And she thinks that it's out of sight, out of mind. Michaela says she's exhausted by the Whitney attention. Yeah. Whitney says her parting words to Mom Talk is good luck without me. Wow. That's Whitney is very last thing that she says on season one. leaving. See you. Good luck without me. Michaela says this is the worst birthday of my life. ⁓ my gosh. Poor Michaela. that ends which I was like, is it the worst birthday of your life? Like you still had a good time. It is shitty that now everyone's talking about someone else. Yeah. And it got distracted by this drama. But like. Your husband planned it. Your husband's trying to distract you. Your husband's like, you know, like, I don't know. I don't know. It still sounds pretty shitty. It does. It does. But worst birthday. mean, I've had pretty bad birthdays. maybe they've all been a plus for her up until this one. Maybe She did meet her husband when she was 16. So he is probably planning her good birthday since then when he was 21. So I saw a tick tock and it's like. And there he was like saying not all the time talk like who's the real villain of Secret Life, Mormon wives and it's all the husbands. And so he's going through like. He's like, Zach, you're getting better, but are we going to medical school yet? Apparently so figure that out. And then he goes, Kayla's husband, I think his name is Jacob. He goes. I the origin story. We can't get over that. There's no story that someone could tell me where I get over the origin story of your marriage, where you're 21. She's 16. He's like, can't get over it. And I'm like, you know what? I don't think I can get over that either. Yeah, it's a little weird. Oh, so we cut back to Taylor's car. It shows Dakota and Taylor driving to the hospital and arriving. They're getting admitted and. They show Taylor giving birth. Like during this whole thing, like Dakota's really excited. Taylor's really excited. Like they both have the biggest smiles on their face. Like it's just refreshing at this point. Yeah. From the norm, a little difference. And to see that be the experience of you welcoming your son into the world, imagine if she was giving birth and they're like fighting, yelling at each other. I can't stand like, you know, I'm like, OK, I'm glad you had at least had a good experience. Yeah, for sure. And they showed Taylor holding like her son and he's holding the son and you know, he's like, can't believe we created this. It's just such a nice moment. It was completely an accident when he tripped and fell. Yeah. But I mean, it's pretty amazing that you can create that from that. says it's just nice to focus on the baby. And she says that Dakota was such an amazing partner through the whole process. And this is the first time she has been confident in them and their future. OK, well, that's good. So maybe this is the turning point for them for a little bit. But we'll see. The end of the episode, we're almost at the very end. Jesse and Demi are at Swig getting sodas. Can't end a season without being at Swig talking about drama. Yeah, do they have the special sodas on the menu yet? pig pussy and the ladyalicious and the on the beach. Those were like full on like mocktails, babe. Those are like strawberries through like ⁓ a like whisking Sweet, get your game on. Let's go. What are you doing? Why don't you have these yet? I'll reach out to them directly and ask for a pink pussy. It's fine. I'll probably get blocked. So Jesse tells Demi that Jen called her and that Jen is leaving Mom Talk because of Zach. Jesse says it sounds like Zach is pushing all of this. So all of their concerns of Zach being controlling and not playing in the group, sounds like it's full term. So Jen's plan at the end of the season is she's not a part of Mom Talk anymore. Wow. It cuts to Zach and Jen in New York City. Oh, that's where he's and Zach is. OK. And Zach is telling Jen that he feels like she is going to love New York. Jen asked Zach if he thinks that she will be missing anything at home with Mom Talk. And he tells her that they are not significant. Wow. Jen says Zach has been the happiest he's been in a while. Like this is the happiest version she's seen of him. And she does feel like moving to New York will help him. Yeah, as long as Jen's not happy, I guess he's happy. Like, what the hell? And she's like, as they're talking and he's like, they're not significant. You're going to be happy here. Like he's standing and she's like sitting on a park bench. She has this like big, fluffy, black hat. Like I couldn't take any of this seriously because like the way it was set up and it just looks like Jen's like, what the fuck am I doing here? Why am I sitting like this? Why am I wearing this? Why am I in New York? Yeah. Why am I doing anything? all my friends? Yeah. So I was like, it was hard to take that scene seriously. Yeah. staring at Jen in this outfit being like, oh my God, girl, just go back to Utah. The very end of the episode ends with Macy in her car. She says that she's about to make a phone call that could ruin people's lives. Macy picks up her phone and calls Jenna. Jenna also sounds Canadian, by the way. ⁓ hey. ⁓ hey. How are you? I don't want to offend any. Is this who they think the confessional Yes. And Macy goes, hey, it's Macy Neely. I have a few questions for you if you don't mind. And season episode eight, end of the season ends with Jenna saying, I'll tell you everything. That's it. That's the end of the season. That's end of the episode. my gosh. Wow. Yeah. Crazy, crazy, crazy. What a ride we've been on. So the blissful Taylor and Dakota might be short lived after this phone call. ⁓ man, that's kind of sad. Yeah. So that was season one. Wow. That was we got two more to go. then what season four drops like this week or something? Yeah, in two days. So we're little behind, but we'll we'll get there.
