- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Hello, bag Blue Nation, Welcome to Just the Cast. My
- 0:15Speaker 2: name is Michael Benning on this Tuesday, July twenty First,
- 0:19Speaker 2: I hope everybody's everybody's having a great day so far
- 0:24Speaker 2: as man. I know a couple of people that need
- 0:27Speaker 2: a good day. But anyway, we'll talk about that a
- 0:30Speaker 2: little later. But man, we got all kinds of drama
- 0:34Speaker 2: after a basketball game last night. That's for fun, even
- 0:38Speaker 2: though they're making two million dollars. But anyway, but I
- 0:44Speaker 2: got justin here with me today with little scratchy voice
- 0:47Speaker 2: because I didn't know this. You said to me good morning.
- 0:51Speaker 2: By the way, good morning. You said you didn't, which
- 0:54Speaker 2: I caught, But I'm like, holy cow, who does that anymore?
- 1:00Speaker 2: Do you still have your tonsils? Yeah?
- 1:02Speaker 3: Wish I didn't, really really wish I didn't, But I've
- 1:07Speaker 3: heard getting them out as an adult is pretty miserable.
- 1:10Speaker 3: But yeah, I need them going ay sap, It's all
- 1:13Speaker 3: there is to it. I thought most people got their
- 1:18Speaker 3: kids tonsils out when they're young. I got mine out
- 1:23Speaker 3: I think I was like four five, maybe because I
- 1:27Speaker 3: was having constant earaches, ear infections. You sinus infections, you
- 1:33Speaker 3: name it. Uh, but I just I didn't know adults
- 1:37Speaker 3: still had their tonsils, but evidently some do. Yeah, and
- 1:40Speaker 3: it causes me all kinds of issues, probably five six
- 1:44Speaker 3: times a year, I guess, I'll I don't know how
- 1:46Speaker 3: it happens or why it happens, but I always assume
- 1:49Speaker 3: that I just slept on my back with my mouth
- 1:51Speaker 3: wide open all night, wake up this morning in my
- 1:53Speaker 3: throat is basically swollen shut. It has gotten somewhat better
- 1:58Speaker 3: since I woke up, thanks to some gargling of salt
- 2:01Speaker 3: water and this hot, delicious, delicious hot chocolate I have
- 2:05Speaker 3: beside me. It's made it a little bit better. But
- 2:07Speaker 3: oh so we're getting there, but maybe it'd break. I'll
- 2:09Speaker 3: go get you a little more delicious hot chok.
- 2:12Speaker 2: It's just so annoying, like, oh, I don't know why
- 2:14Speaker 2: I got.
- 2:14Speaker 3: To deal with this because and you know, it's it's
- 2:16Speaker 3: just a minor, little outpatient type procedure to get him removed. Yeah,
- 2:23Speaker 3: but the recovery is is what I've heard is the
- 2:26Speaker 3: Oh it is? I know that a real bee as
- 2:29Speaker 3: an adult.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Yeah, oh okay, so the what did they tell you?
- 2:33Speaker 2: The recovery is?
- 2:35Speaker 3: I have just I've talked to people who've gotten it
- 2:37Speaker 3: done as an adult, not I haven't really like been
- 2:40Speaker 3: to the doctor and asked their advice.
- 2:42Speaker 2: But I don't. I don't really know.
- 2:44Speaker 3: It's been a while since I've talked to anybody that
- 2:46Speaker 3: had it done as an adult. But yeah, they basically
- 2:49Speaker 3: just told me it's not pleasant at all. Really, Okay,
- 2:52Speaker 3: uh yeah, all right, here you go.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Adult ton selectomy recovery takes ten to fourteen days on average.
- 3:00Speaker 2: That's ridiculous. Wow. The key priorities are preventing dehydration and
- 3:06Speaker 2: avoiding a serious complication called post operative bleeding, which requires
- 3:12Speaker 2: you to strictly avoid heavy lifting. Well that's never been
- 3:15Speaker 2: a problem, and big and vigorous exercise another non problem
- 3:20Speaker 2: for two to three weeks. So I think you got it.
- 3:23Speaker 2: So for those of you that do not exercise and
- 3:27Speaker 2: or do heavy lifting, justin Kaylin. You'll recover in probably
- 3:31Speaker 2: twenty four hours. Feel like you're being very judgy, maybe
- 3:36Speaker 2: a little bit. I'm just more teasing than being judgy. Okay,
- 3:40Speaker 2: come on now, uh but yeah, that's uh, there you
- 3:44Speaker 2: go ten to fourteen days. That was kind of that's
- 3:46Speaker 2: a minor surgery.
- 3:47Speaker 3: That's a long time, that is, and what will like
- 3:51Speaker 3: Obviously you can't eat what you normally eat, right, No,
- 3:55Speaker 3: I wouldn't imagine.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Yeah, that sounds miserable, right, Okay, all right then, well
- 4:01Speaker 2: I'm terribly sorry about that. So now we'll just have
- 4:04Speaker 2: to deal with you every time you have tonsol problems
- 4:08Speaker 2: if you let so.
- 4:10Speaker 3: How do you fall asleep on your back? You just
- 4:12Speaker 3: do you normally sleep on your stomach?
- 4:15Speaker 2: Yes?
- 4:15Speaker 3: I am very much a stomach and side sleeper. And
- 4:17Speaker 3: when I when I do sleep in those positions, I don't.
- 4:20Speaker 3: I never wake up with this issue. It's it's only
- 4:23Speaker 3: when I fall asleep on my back, which I rarely do,
- 4:26Speaker 3: maybe maybe two percent of the time that I'm in
- 4:29Speaker 3: my bed, I'm sleeping on my back, So it's not
- 4:32Speaker 3: very often, but it sucks.
- 4:33Speaker 2: When it does. I have literally never slept on my back,
- 4:38Speaker 2: you know. When I had to have that little procedure,
- 4:41Speaker 2: what a couple of years ago, and I was in
- 4:44Speaker 2: the hospital for a couple of nights. I did not
- 4:47Speaker 2: I was laying on my back. I didn't sleep. It's
- 4:51Speaker 2: just I can't sleep. I don't know why that is,
- 4:54Speaker 2: because it's not comfortable to me. It's not no, and
- 4:58Speaker 2: that's the way you're supposed just sleep, isn't it. Are
- 5:01Speaker 2: you supposed to sleep on your back? They say your side?
- 5:04Speaker 3: They say sleeping on your back is the best for
- 5:07Speaker 3: your spine formation. Yeah, so okay, but I'm gonna be
- 5:12Speaker 3: laying on my back when I'm six feet under, so
- 5:14Speaker 3: I don't want to do that when I'm lovely.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Okay, let's talk about dying now. Yeah, that's a great sun.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Well, I mean, honestly, that's why I don't like sleeping
- 5:22Speaker 3: on my back, because I feel like a dead person
- 5:24Speaker 3: because that's.
- 5:25Speaker 2: How they look in the coffin. Well that is true,
- 5:27Speaker 2: all right.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Yeah, that's why I'm gonna ask my wife when I die,
- 5:30Speaker 3: please put me on my stomach.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Everybody looks just looking at the back of my head. Okay,
- 5:35Speaker 2: so just for I want to be forever on my stomach.
- 5:39Speaker 2: So yeah, that at.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Least go the side so they can at least see
- 5:42Speaker 3: a side of your face. Nobody cares about seeing my face,
- 5:46Speaker 3: okayd No, they don't.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Uh. Most people want to see the back of my
- 5:50Speaker 2: head because that means I'm walking away. So that's a
- 5:53Speaker 2: mean thing to say to myself. No, I'm just joking.
- 5:56Speaker 3: So but no, no, did you just make fun of
- 5:59Speaker 3: yourself and then proceed to tell yourself that you were joking?
- 6:02Speaker 2: I think, so, how do you like that? An interesting guest?
- 6:07Speaker 2: But I do talk to myself. Is there a problem
- 6:10Speaker 2: with listen when you answer yourself? I'm yeah, you mean
- 6:13Speaker 2: you got more issues than you care to admit. So
- 6:16Speaker 2: that's that's Michael Bennett in the nutshell right there by
- 6:19Speaker 2: the way. Happy National U Junk Food Day. Yes I
- 6:21Speaker 2: heard that, Oh yes? And which was which led to
- 6:26Speaker 2: me thinking, okay, this is a great topic to me today.
- 6:32Speaker 2: If you haven't seen his National Junk Food Day. If
- 6:36Speaker 2: there was one junk food justin Kaylin that you could
- 6:41Speaker 2: eat every day the rest of your life and not
- 6:44Speaker 2: worry about the consequences, can you name just one? Or
- 6:49Speaker 2: does it? Or would you be more apt to say
- 6:52Speaker 2: I need two or three? Cause I can tell you
- 6:56Speaker 2: there's one, but then at the top of the list,
- 6:59Speaker 2: then I gotta add a few more on top of
- 7:01Speaker 2: that list. I need a category junk food. I mean,
- 7:05Speaker 2: that's a good enough category right now. No, like so
- 7:09Speaker 2: my junk food would probably be chips. Oh.
- 7:13Speaker 3: I don't want to be tied down to one type
- 7:15Speaker 3: of chie really, so you're more on the chip side.
- 7:18Speaker 3: If all chips are fair game, then I think I
- 7:20Speaker 3: could make that happen.
- 7:21Speaker 2: See chips, I think there's candy, and then I think
- 7:25Speaker 2: there's other sweets out there, and uh man, I didn't
- 7:30Speaker 2: think about that because I got three different I got.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I got dinner type junk food, I've got snack type
- 7:38Speaker 2: junk food, and then I've got candy type junk food.
- 7:41Speaker 2: All right, I've got kind of three categories, and there
- 7:44Speaker 2: might be a fourth one there. But if you if
- 7:47Speaker 2: all right? So on the on the chip side, what
- 7:51Speaker 2: chips do you want? That's what I want them? All?
- 7:55Speaker 2: Do you really? Yes?
- 7:58Speaker 3: There are very few chips that I do not care for.
- 8:01Speaker 3: You like cheese, It's yeah, I love cheese your wife gets.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Have you ever had the extra toasty ones?
- 8:07Speaker 2: Don't want them. I can't stand them. I think you're disgusting.
- 8:10Speaker 3: No, get the extra toasty ones and you will change
- 8:13Speaker 3: that whole mind.
- 8:14Speaker 2: I guarantee. I don't like the cheesy part. I just don't.
- 8:17Speaker 2: I'm not big into the cheese, so cheese its won't
- 8:20Speaker 2: do it for me. You're missing out. I am a
- 8:23Speaker 2: dorito cool ranch and I'm a Cheeto. And by the way,
- 8:28Speaker 2: BUCkies has some of the best puff whatever they call
- 8:33Speaker 2: those things, Cheeto type things.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Man, BUCkies, have you had any of the naked ones yet?
- 8:42Speaker 2: I like naked, but I don't know if I like
- 8:44Speaker 2: a naked chip. What is a naked chip?
- 8:46Speaker 3: So it's basically what Dorito's and Cheetos did to get
- 8:50Speaker 3: rid of the dies?
- 8:51Speaker 2: Remember the.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Yes, So the naked ones are their new version without
- 8:57Speaker 3: all those dyes in it.
- 8:59Speaker 2: They're actually pretty good? Are they really? Actually pretty good? So?
- 9:03Speaker 2: Are incredible? I kind of like that, all right? Were
- 9:07Speaker 2: you four or against getting rid of all the dives?
- 9:10Speaker 2: Because you know that was something that what's his name,
- 9:13Speaker 2: Robert Kennedy got rid of? And I kind of get it.
- 9:17Speaker 2: And it's like, oh, I don't have a problem because
- 9:19Speaker 2: if you go to all these other countries outside of
- 9:22Speaker 2: the United States, it's not there. They're not there. And
- 9:25Speaker 2: I like that we're doing this. I like what he's
- 9:28Speaker 2: doing so but sometimes maybe he's going a little too far,
- 9:32Speaker 2: but it's okay. I'm I am a guy that would
- 9:35Speaker 2: try it, So yes, I would try a naked Cheeto.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Have no problem with it.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Get you a bag of the naked doritos, the cool ranch.
- 9:43Speaker 3: See what you think. Oh so there's naked cool ranch.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Oh yeah, no, it's it's all their normal. They're just
- 9:49Speaker 3: they're weird. They're like a white color. I don't care
- 9:53Speaker 3: what color it is. Is it if it tastes similar
- 9:55Speaker 3: or the same, I'm good to go. It tastes similar,
- 9:57Speaker 3: all right, So you're all right? So you're every chip
- 10:00Speaker 3: you can't even pick. Well, if if you had to
- 10:02Speaker 3: pick just one, you couldn't do it. I mean if
- 10:05Speaker 3: gun to my head, I would take cheddar and sour
- 10:07Speaker 3: cream ruffles. Oh good choice, Yeah, as long as you
- 10:11Speaker 3: got the the dip with it. Or chili cheese fritos. Oh,
- 10:16Speaker 3: chili cheese burritosos fritos. Oh, I god, that's another one.
- 10:22Speaker 3: You're killing me. I forgot about free doos.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Those are awesome. Oh man, I've never had the chili
- 10:28Speaker 2: cheese free doos. I just love the salty, salty salty
- 10:31Speaker 2: of the regular FreeDOS or dad, my dad used call
- 10:34Speaker 2: them frit does.
- 10:35Speaker 3: I could eat those big scoop fritos every day. If
- 10:39Speaker 3: I had like the jalapeno nacho cheese sauce, man, I
- 10:43Speaker 3: could eat those every day.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Now I'm starving. I got you well, all right, chips
- 10:51Speaker 2: onto candy, junk food, candy, what is it?
- 10:54Speaker 3: I don't eat a whole lot of candy, to be
- 10:56Speaker 3: honest with you. That's something that I'll just snack on
- 10:59Speaker 3: here and there if I run across it. But I
- 11:00Speaker 3: don't go out and buy candy. My sweet, I'll give
- 11:04Speaker 3: you something sweet. I could eat rice crispies every day.
- 11:08Speaker 3: If they're homemade, I don't care. Oh man, my wife
- 11:12Speaker 3: makes them with double the marshmallows, because you know how
- 11:15Speaker 3: I am about marshmallows.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I would die for that. So, yeah, that's a
- 11:20Speaker 2: good You've comming up with some great choices. By the way,
- 11:23Speaker 2: I've never met a rice crispy really, see, I grew
- 11:27Speaker 2: up and I could have one right now. I don't
- 11:29Speaker 2: even know if they make him anymore because all the
- 11:30Speaker 2: issues that Hostess has gone through. Rice crispies no no, no,
- 11:34Speaker 2: no no, I'm talking ho hos. You ever had a
- 11:37Speaker 2: hoh or a King Dong? Those are by far my
- 11:41Speaker 2: favorite of anything out there, and I do love the
- 11:44Speaker 2: Hostess cupcakes.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Let me back up, I've never had a King Dong.
- 11:47Speaker 3: I just don't like the sound of that. I don't
- 11:48Speaker 3: want that out there on the record.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Well, it's just a circular little cake with chocolate and
- 11:53Speaker 2: the best whip fame in the middle. What is your
- 11:56Speaker 2: what's your I didn't say ding Dong, I said king Dong.
- 11:58Speaker 2: What's your favorite hostess? Or no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 12:02Speaker 2: little Debbie? What's your favorite little debbe? See, I would
- 12:06Speaker 2: say the ho ho type things, though I don't know
- 12:11Speaker 2: what they're called fud rounds for me, I don't know
- 12:14Speaker 2: what that is, but a fudge drownd. Yeah, you know
- 12:17Speaker 2: what a fudd round is? Okay, I'm sure I do.
- 12:19Speaker 2: I just don't recall what it is right now? Delicious?
- 12:23Speaker 2: Really okay, I'll take hostess over a little Debbie any day.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Good more for me exactly. So there you go, Candy,
- 12:30Speaker 2: I'm going Baby Ruth, Baby Ruth and or butterfinger. So
- 12:35Speaker 2: just to let you know, i'd have to go heath
- 12:37Speaker 2: I guess. Oh, heath Bar's a good choice. I've made
- 12:41Speaker 2: homemade heath bars. By the way, bring me some Christmas, Yeah,
- 12:46Speaker 2: it was fun. Did you bring me something you might
- 12:49Speaker 2: have brought me? Did? I? Really? I think you do.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I don't know why I did that, but uh, congratulations,
- 12:54Speaker 2: it will never happen again. Uh but anyway, all right,
- 12:57Speaker 2: uh big big, big stories yeah today, and I mean
- 13:00Speaker 2: big stories. I'm gonna let you choose which we go
- 13:04Speaker 2: with first. I thought, no, no, no, no, I'm gonna choose
- 13:06Speaker 2: it now if I no, let's let cause I know
- 13:08Speaker 2: you're excited about one story. But I'm gonna let you
- 13:13Speaker 2: choose between the basketball tournament and the game last night,
- 13:17Speaker 2: especially a lot of the drama going on. Or do
- 13:20Speaker 2: we talk about the success UK football is having is
- 13:24Speaker 2: because the one and only will Stein and will Stein's
- 13:27Speaker 2: appearance on the national Media Day stage for the Southeastern
- 13:32Speaker 2: Conference football, Which do you justin kaylin Ak Scoots want
- 13:38Speaker 2: to talk about? First, I'll say we go chronological order.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Let's go will Stein. Oh you want to go will Stein?
- 13:44Speaker 2: How is that chronological order? Because it happened first? Oh okay,
- 13:48Speaker 2: all right, then there you go will Stein. If you
- 13:51Speaker 2: did not watch yesterday, I'm gonna tell you it's a
- 13:56Speaker 2: must watch and you gotta go back and watch it.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I'm just telling you right now, go back and watch
- 14:03Speaker 2: what he had to say and how he answered questions.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Right now, I can tell you it was must watch TV.
- 14:14Speaker 2: He was asked why do you think you can win here,
- 14:19Speaker 2: meaning the UK? His answer was priceless, he said, because
- 14:25Speaker 2: of me. I just I was like, I kind of
- 14:28Speaker 2: look like, Wow, that took some guts, But you know what,
- 14:32Speaker 2: that is exactly what Kentucky needs as a head football coach.
- 14:38Speaker 2: I know what it means to what it takes. I've
- 14:43Speaker 2: seen it at the highest levels. I know what it
- 14:46Speaker 2: takes to recruit at this level and just gotta believe
- 14:50Speaker 2: and put the ball down and play. Is it going
- 14:53Speaker 2: to happen overnight? I don't know. That's where it kind
- 14:57Speaker 2: of felt like he failed a little bit. He didn't
- 15:00Speaker 2: like that answer too terribly much, But well, exactly, it's
- 15:06Speaker 2: the reality, and you know how I feel about reality,
- 15:09Speaker 2: the reality coming out. I appreciate that when stuff goes bad,
- 15:17Speaker 2: I have to figure out how do I remain neutral.
- 15:21Speaker 2: That's a great statement right there. We can recruit. Not
- 15:25Speaker 2: only can we recruit, we can recruit north, South, East,
- 15:28Speaker 2: and west. Just can't wait. I thought he did a
- 15:33Speaker 2: phenomenal job now, and I'm not exaggerating. I thought will
- 15:38Speaker 2: Stein could not have done any better. How he handled
- 15:42Speaker 2: himself with his speech, with his opening remarks, and then
- 15:46Speaker 2: I cannot respect him anymore than how he handled answering questions.
- 15:53Speaker 2: But the only thing is will Stein did say several
- 15:58Speaker 2: times that UK had I think he said it like
- 16:01Speaker 2: four times. I went back and listened and counted it.
- 16:04Speaker 2: I think four times that he said UK has the
- 16:08Speaker 2: fourth hardest schedule in the country, and that's a challenge
- 16:13Speaker 2: he's willing to embrace. But that's also why it's not
- 16:17Speaker 2: gonna happen overnight. Correct. Will Stein didn't say I took
- 16:22Speaker 2: the job to win, and to win at championship levels.
- 16:26Speaker 2: I don't take this job to be closer to family
- 16:30Speaker 2: or because my dad played here. I think he's trying
- 16:34Speaker 2: to mix out anything everyone's been saying.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Who cares though? Does that really bother you? If you
- 16:42Speaker 3: find out that will Stein came to Kentucky because his
- 16:44Speaker 3: dad played there, of course not change my opinion one
- 16:48Speaker 3: iota of will.
- 16:49Speaker 2: To me, that's a bit of a dream job, knowing that, Hey,
- 16:53Speaker 2: my dad played here. Number one number two. I grew
- 16:56Speaker 2: up as a UK fan. It's okay that they didn't
- 16:59Speaker 2: bring me in. Circumstances just didn't play out well for
- 17:03Speaker 2: me to play at UK. But guess what I can
- 17:05Speaker 2: make it up, not as a former player that could
- 17:08Speaker 2: have played here, but as a coach now. And I'm
- 17:11Speaker 2: gonna tell you right now, he sounded a lot like
- 17:15Speaker 2: you're gonna think I'm nuts. He sounded a lot like
- 17:18Speaker 2: Kurt Signetti. That cockiness, that bit of an ego there, well,
- 17:25Speaker 2: maybe not bit of an ego, but an ego.
- 17:28Speaker 3: I mean, I did see people on Twitter yesterday comparing
- 17:31Speaker 3: his because of me comment to Signetti's Google Meek comment.
- 17:36Speaker 3: So there is that.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Yes, so I listen. I liked it. I mean, what
- 17:41Speaker 2: do you expect him to say? Well, I don't know.
- 17:43Speaker 2: I maybe will be pretty good, but it's gonna take
- 17:45Speaker 2: me a long time to get good. I mean, of
- 17:48Speaker 2: course he's supposed to come out with this kind of confidence.
- 17:51Speaker 2: That's what you want in your coach when you're picked
- 17:55Speaker 2: to be fifteen out of sixteen teams in the SEC.
- 17:59Speaker 2: I want that cockiness, and I want him to say
- 18:03Speaker 2: these players are coming here because of me.
- 18:06Speaker 3: I thought it was awesome when he he almost brought
- 18:08Speaker 3: up the word cockiness and his answer there, when he
- 18:12Speaker 3: oh really yeah, you could see like when they asked
- 18:15Speaker 3: him his brain started turning, Oh yeah, and he did
- 18:17Speaker 3: the whole like, well, to not sound but I think
- 18:23Speaker 3: it's because of me. Can I see a little smirk
- 18:27Speaker 3: coming out of this face?
- 18:28Speaker 2: It did?
- 18:28Speaker 3: It felt like he was gonna say, I don't want
- 18:30Speaker 3: to sound too cocky or conceited here. Yeah, and then
- 18:33Speaker 3: he just he said, screw it, I'm not gonna say
- 18:35Speaker 3: that part. I'm just gonna say what I feel. And
- 18:37Speaker 3: I respect that too.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Yes, I listen. I loved it all right. I want
- 18:42Speaker 2: you're outside looking in here now, you're a bit of
- 18:44Speaker 2: a UK fan since you do this UK show. Uh,
- 18:47Speaker 2: but I want to know what you thought. How do
- 18:50Speaker 2: you think will Side did yesterday for his first SEC
- 18:54Speaker 2: media media day.
- 18:56Speaker 3: I mean, it's really hard to go into two media
- 19:00Speaker 3: days and and I feel like you won. But that
- 19:03Speaker 3: that's kind of how it felt with will Stein yesterday.
- 19:05Speaker 3: It did kind of feel like he won the press conference.
- 19:08Speaker 3: There was a number of quotes. It wasn't just the
- 19:10Speaker 3: because of me quote. There were there were several throughout
- 19:13Speaker 3: his time up on the podium now that people grabbed
- 19:16Speaker 3: and gravitated towards and talked about. So yeah, I thought
- 19:20Speaker 3: he did a great job. I mean, he knows the
- 19:22Speaker 3: challenges he's up against specifically this upcoming season. But he's
- 19:26Speaker 3: not scared and he's not gonna back down. And I
- 19:28Speaker 3: think that's what you you were able to see yesterday,
- 19:30Speaker 3: that hey, I'm here to play. I know we're we're
- 19:33Speaker 3: at a we're at a table with a bunch of
- 19:35Speaker 3: big boys, but we're gonna try to be one of
- 19:37Speaker 3: those big boys eventually. And with that mindset, I think
- 19:39Speaker 3: that could happen. You gotta believe a lot of the media,
- 19:41Speaker 3: well not a lot. I would say all of the
- 19:44Speaker 3: media is skeptical of him, especially outside the UK.
- 19:47Speaker 2: I would say every media member outside of the UK
- 19:51Speaker 2: are a real skeptics and rightfully so, and they should be. Yeah,
- 19:53Speaker 2: it's like, okay, prove it to me first. That's why
- 19:55Speaker 2: will Stein kept saying, let's just put the ball on
- 19:58Speaker 2: the field, let's play. I like that answer. We're going
- 20:00Speaker 2: to prove it to you. And then our good friend
- 20:04Speaker 2: did did I Did I miss it? Or something? Did? Did?
- 20:06Speaker 2: Did our good friend Nick Rouse go on Paul fine
- 20:09Speaker 2: Bomb made Yeah?
- 20:10Speaker 3: He he you know what, he just decided Fine Bomb
- 20:12Speaker 3: was a little too boring. He needed to pep it
- 20:14Speaker 3: up a little bit, so he decided he would go
- 20:16Speaker 3: on there.
- 20:17Speaker 2: I gotta go back and watch that.
- 20:18Speaker 3: I meant the fact that he was on Paul fine Bomb.
- 20:21Speaker 3: I think it was awesome. He's been on several times.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Oh has he really?
- 20:25Speaker 2: I didn't know that. Paul fine Baum leads us a
- 20:28Speaker 2: little bit of Michael Bennett. By the way, why isn't
- 20:30Speaker 2: Michael Bennett on Paul fine Bomb. But Michael Bennett doesn't
- 20:33Speaker 2: have boots on the ground. No, I don't. And of
- 20:36Speaker 2: all times to be boots on the ground for SEC
- 20:39Speaker 2: media football days, I should have been in Tampa and
- 20:42Speaker 2: here I am in Louisville. I should have been. But anyway,
- 20:46Speaker 2: I just I loved it. And do you think what's
- 20:52Speaker 2: it going to take? It's gonna take wins. Isn't it
- 20:55Speaker 2: for for people to buy in?
- 20:57Speaker 4: No?
- 20:58Speaker 3: I don't, not necessarily. I don't think that's one accurate.
- 21:02Speaker 3: If you even if you're in games, I think people
- 21:05Speaker 3: will buy in because of that. I mean, especially if
- 21:08Speaker 3: it's against teams that historically you don't fare very well against,
- 21:12Speaker 3: like like in Alabama in Week two. Keep that game close.
- 21:16Speaker 3: You don't have to win it. If it's close, people
- 21:19Speaker 3: will they'll buy right in, I promise. But that only
- 21:21Speaker 3: goes for so long that that lasts one or two years,
- 21:26Speaker 3: and then after that year three, year four, you best
- 21:28Speaker 3: start winning these nobody cares about.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Hey, we played close.
- 21:32Speaker 3: We're not playing for moral victories. And yet exact year one,
- 21:36Speaker 3: moral victories can be a thing. Year two even I
- 21:38Speaker 3: think maybe they can still be a thing. Year three,
- 21:40Speaker 3: we ain't. That's no more moral victories.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Yeah, because you got not only that, but all these
- 21:45Speaker 2: players he's brought in. You gotta make sure you keep them.
- 21:49Speaker 2: I mean, if they're worthy of keeping. There might be
- 21:51Speaker 2: players that turn out to be a bust. And guess what,
- 21:53Speaker 2: it's okay if they leave, it's okay if they transfer.
- 21:56Speaker 2: But uh minsche, I thought did a great job talking
- 21:59Speaker 2: about this is the reason I came here, Will Stein
- 22:02Speaker 2: is the reason I came to Kentucky, no other reason
- 22:05Speaker 2: at all. It's will Stein. I love that answer. I
- 22:10Speaker 2: thought the players did a great job. Listen, and you
- 22:12Speaker 2: could tell they were prepared, and they should be prepared.
- 22:16Speaker 2: You just don't go to something like this and you
- 22:20Speaker 2: don't have an idea how you're gonna handle certain questions.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Because they were all prepared. Why did you come to Kentucky?
- 22:26Speaker 2: What is it about? Will Stein all that kind of stuff.
- 22:28Speaker 2: They all knew that though. Those are the questions. And
- 22:30Speaker 2: I'm so thankful that will Stein and his staff prepared
- 22:35Speaker 2: these players because they did a phenomenal job. They didn't
- 22:40Speaker 2: embarrass themselves, they didn'tmbarrass the university, they didn't embarrass will
- 22:43Speaker 2: Stein's staff, and the fact that they did this. Listen,
- 22:48Speaker 2: I tip of my hat right now. And I hate that.
- 22:52Speaker 2: I never liked it when people say tip of my head,
- 22:55Speaker 2: but I think this is a deservance.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Especially when you're not wearing that hat. I know, I
- 22:59Speaker 3: left it in the car, bring it in and wear it.
- 23:00Speaker 3: But then you could have tipped it. I could, I
- 23:03Speaker 3: could tip are there there? Tip of my hat? How's
- 23:06Speaker 3: that look?
- 23:07Speaker 2: But?
- 23:07Speaker 3: Uh, anyway, you can't even see me because you're next
- 23:09Speaker 3: to me and on the other side of therow.
- 23:12Speaker 2: You can oh, okay, well there, how's that? How How
- 23:15Speaker 2: long of a delay is that? By the way? Oh really,
- 23:18Speaker 2: it's right on? Oh okay, good all right? Then?
- 23:20Speaker 3: Uh.
- 23:21Speaker 2: By the way, if you want to give us a
- 23:22Speaker 2: call fable two three eight four fourteen fifty, if you
- 23:24Speaker 2: want to text us on the whiskey thief text on,
- 23:26Speaker 2: you can do that five O two four to one
- 23:28Speaker 2: four fourteen fifty. You can tweet me just a cat
- 23:31Speaker 2: right And by the way, if you want to watch us,
- 23:34Speaker 2: is your camera working now? It is? Okay, good, So
- 23:37Speaker 2: you can do that on YouTube. And uh, I'll look
- 23:40Speaker 2: straight into the camera and say you can watch us
- 23:42Speaker 2: at Big X Sports Radio Louisville. Nailed it perfect, and
- 23:46Speaker 2: uh then you'll see our well, one good looking face
- 23:49Speaker 2: and one ugly one right here. No, it's me. I
- 23:54Speaker 2: realized I used to be good looking, but now it's
- 23:56Speaker 2: not beating yourself so much this morning? Why am I
- 24:00Speaker 2: Because I'm in a great mood. I'm not kidding. I
- 24:02Speaker 2: am in a great mood. And I am self defecating
- 24:06Speaker 2: on myself. So there you go. But anyway, all right,
- 24:09Speaker 2: we gotta take our first break because I've gone John
- 24:11Speaker 2: Wanglong and that might be a thing. Now, okay, I
- 24:14Speaker 2: just want to say that might be a thing, and
- 24:17Speaker 2: I think John Long would love it. John Wong Wong.
- 24:21Speaker 2: I've gone John Wanglong because it is now what time
- 24:24Speaker 2: is it like twenty eight? After we're gonna take a break,
- 24:27Speaker 2: we can talk more football. Plus we gotta talk about
- 24:30Speaker 2: the drama Aaron Harrison going after him. I love it anyway,
- 24:35Speaker 2: stay right there. We got a lot more just cats
- 24:37Speaker 2: coming up.
- 25:22Speaker 5: I thought of the story give me a five m rival.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Sorry I hadn't turn my headphone up on this one.
- 25:43Speaker 2: I love this song. What's that? It's good? So are
- 25:48Speaker 2: you a Kings of Leon fan? I like you? You know,
- 25:52Speaker 2: like I said. When they came to Louisville, what was
- 25:55Speaker 2: it about a month or two ago? I didn't get
- 25:58Speaker 2: to go because I was out of town. I wanted
- 26:00Speaker 2: to go see him. They played, didn't They play at
- 26:03Speaker 2: the Football Stadium, the you know, known formally as Pizza
- 26:08Speaker 2: Boys Stadium. Yeah, and with somebody else. It was a
- 26:12Speaker 2: weird lineup, but I wanted to go see them because
- 26:14Speaker 2: I wanted to hear neon That's that is an awesome song.
- 26:17Speaker 2: I had some friends who were there, and I cannot
- 26:19Speaker 2: remember who it was, like a country music act or something.
- 26:25Speaker 2: I can't remember who it was, but phenomenal. I mean
- 26:29Speaker 2: all I keep hearing. I've never seen them. That would
- 26:32Speaker 2: be somebody I would want to go see it. Red Rocks.
- 26:35Speaker 2: I one of these days I want to go back
- 26:37Speaker 2: to Red Rocks. And there's a few bands that I
- 26:40Speaker 2: would like to go to. Number one I said, I'd
- 26:42Speaker 2: love to see food Fighters at Red Rocks. You don't
- 26:44Speaker 2: have to write it down. And number two I would
- 26:47Speaker 2: love to see right there, King's at Leon. I think
- 26:51Speaker 2: there's a few bands at venues that I'd like to
- 26:53Speaker 2: go see. But anyway, before we go to the phone line,
- 26:56Speaker 2: I do want to talk about this. Did you see
- 26:59Speaker 2: where it? Because Zuri was up yesterday so I think he's
- 27:03Speaker 2: the goofiest coach in the SEC, if not one of
- 27:06Speaker 2: the goofiest coach in all of college football. Eli Drinkwitz
- 27:10Speaker 2: had a comment said yesterday that he made yesterday. Are
- 27:13Speaker 2: you ready because this pertains to you?
- 27:15Speaker 4: Oh?
- 27:15Speaker 2: I heard it? Okay, you did here? I heard it.
- 27:18Speaker 2: When you don't play a non conference a four game, uh,
- 27:22Speaker 2: that's how you get to uh uh. Says that the
- 27:26Speaker 2: Big Tens non conference schedules are a big reason for
- 27:30Speaker 2: his three straight national titles. What did you think of
- 27:33Speaker 2: that when you saw that?
- 27:34Speaker 3: Hey, Eli Dorkowitz, the Big Ten plays nine conference games.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Why you're a little SEC conference still sitting at eight.
- 27:42Speaker 3: So run your mouth all you want while we're playing
- 27:45Speaker 3: an extra conference game, Eli Dorkowitz, I've never heard.
- 27:50Speaker 2: You say that. Oh my gosh, that is awesome.
- 27:54Speaker 3: He's such a rufic name, he's such a well, why
- 27:57Speaker 3: is he saying this? I have no idea when he's
- 28:00Speaker 3: not even played in the playoffs. It's like, Okay, if
- 28:02Speaker 3: you had played in the playoffs and gotten beat, maybe
- 28:05Speaker 3: you can make a comment like this. But when you
- 28:07Speaker 3: haven't even made the playoffs and you listen, let me
- 28:11Speaker 3: tell you, Eli, you had a real easy schedule last
- 28:14Speaker 3: year and you couldn't get through that schedule exactly, So
- 28:17Speaker 3: why are you coming out and swinging at big ten?
- 28:20Speaker 2: I got one word? Yes, Oh my gosh. I mean
- 28:24Speaker 2: I still that video of him when they signed like
- 28:27Speaker 2: a two or three star and he's running around the
- 28:29Speaker 2: football offices all excited because they got a three star
- 28:32Speaker 2: player commit to Missouri. I still think every time I
- 28:37Speaker 2: see his picture or him being there, that's the first
- 28:39Speaker 2: thing I think of. It's like, what a goof? I mean, seriously,
- 28:43Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I just a little bit of a rent
- 28:46Speaker 2: right there when I shouldn't have that. All right, let's go,
- 28:48Speaker 2: bibo too far off? A three or four, fourteen fifty?
- 28:51Speaker 2: Who's up? We got buzz? All right, buzz? What's going on? Hey?
- 28:55Speaker 4: How you doing?
- 28:56Speaker 2: Michael It's the greatest day of my life. Buzz. How
- 28:58Speaker 2: are you?
- 29:00Speaker 4: Oh man, it just doesn't get any better than this.
- 29:02Speaker 4: I'm telling you good.
- 29:03Speaker 2: What's going on?
- 29:05Speaker 4: Well, I had a comparison for you. You compared coach
- 29:08Speaker 4: Stein to coach Signetti. Yeah, I'm going to go back
- 29:11Speaker 4: a few years and think about when coach Snellenberger came
- 29:14Speaker 4: in to u of L as a UK legend really
- 29:19Speaker 4: and brought that swagger that he had. And I'm not
- 29:23Speaker 4: sure there's ever been another coach with more swagger than
- 29:26Speaker 4: Howard Snellenberger. But I really think that Stein is kind
- 29:29Speaker 4: of going in the opposite direction, coming from UFL player
- 29:33Speaker 4: to UK and bringing that swagger there, and I really
- 29:37Speaker 4: like it.
- 29:38Speaker 2: See. I think that's a great comparison right there. You
- 29:41Speaker 2: look at what Snellenberger did at UK as a player
- 29:44Speaker 2: and then as a coach. I mean, who would have
- 29:46Speaker 2: ever thought he would have left Miami? Because you can
- 29:51Speaker 2: give all the credit in the world to Miami's football
- 29:56Speaker 2: success to Howard Schnellenberger. Now also give all the credit
- 30:02Speaker 2: and I don't think U of L does it enough.
- 30:04Speaker 2: All the credit for you U of L having a
- 30:07Speaker 2: football you realize, I'm sure you do, Buzz, But justin
- 30:11Speaker 2: do you realize that U of L was getting ready
- 30:14Speaker 2: to drop football altogether really until Howard Schnellenberger came to
- 30:21Speaker 2: u of L and said, no, no, let's not do that.
- 30:23Speaker 2: I'm going to be your head coach and I'm going
- 30:25Speaker 2: to take you to places you've never been. And he
- 30:28Speaker 2: did had tremendous success there, and I bet if you
- 30:33Speaker 2: asked him if he was still alive today, he would
- 30:35Speaker 2: probably say that he wishes he had never left u
- 30:39Speaker 2: of L. I mean that you can credit one thousand
- 30:44Speaker 2: percent today and I bet Jeff Brown would say the
- 30:46Speaker 2: same thing. But I'm sorry, Buzz, go ahead.
- 30:49Speaker 4: No, No, I'm sitting here listening to you, and I'm thinking,
- 30:52Speaker 4: you know, two man's thinking along one track here. It's
- 30:56Speaker 4: just right, and did resurrect that that program, And you're
- 31:03Speaker 4: absolutely right. I mean, I remember the days when you
- 31:06Speaker 4: could go to a local convenience food store and for
- 31:09Speaker 4: like a buck get tickets to the UFL football games,
- 31:12Speaker 4: and they were they were either going to go down
- 31:14Speaker 4: to the Division two or just drop it all together.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Well remember right there that there's that big grass space
- 31:19Speaker 2: that UL owns there at Hurstpurn Lane and Shelbyville Road,
- 31:23Speaker 2: and they used to practice there off of Shelbyville Road
- 31:28Speaker 2: on these random fields, Bacant Fields, and that's where U
- 31:32Speaker 2: of L football was practicing. It was the craziest thing
- 31:34Speaker 2: you'd ever see. And Buzz is right. You could go
- 31:37Speaker 2: to Convenient Food Store, which would long gone. Are good
- 31:42Speaker 2: friends of ours.
- 31:42Speaker 3: The Pedans used to own the Convenient Food store here
- 31:45Speaker 3: in town and they would hand you tickets either for
- 31:49Speaker 3: free or for a dollar, and you can go to
- 31:51Speaker 3: the U of L football games.
- 31:53Speaker 2: That's incredible. It was crazy how that was back then. Yeah,
- 31:56Speaker 2: anything else, buzz before you left.
- 31:57Speaker 4: They still couldn't get a crowd.
- 31:58Speaker 2: No, they couldn't. I mean, and my dad and I
- 32:02Speaker 2: would go. You could always count on UK playing at
- 32:04Speaker 2: one o'clock in like singtona Commonwealth Stadium, and then U
- 32:08Speaker 2: of L always played like seven or eight o'clock that night,
- 32:10Speaker 2: so we would we would go to the UK game
- 32:12Speaker 2: that day and we didn't get enough football. We would
- 32:15Speaker 2: drop my mom off because she didn't want to go,
- 32:18Speaker 2: and then we would go from dropping her off at
- 32:21Speaker 2: the house and then running out to the Fairgrounds to
- 32:23Speaker 2: go watch U of L play football because we wanted
- 32:25Speaker 2: to watch more football. Wasn't very good football, but it
- 32:28Speaker 2: ended up being really good football. So anyway, all right,
- 32:31Speaker 2: buzz anything else?
- 32:34Speaker 4: Hey, yeah, I got I got one other thing, kind
- 32:36Speaker 4: of leading into what I think is going to be
- 32:38Speaker 4: your next segment. Yes, in regards to the TVT how
- 32:42Speaker 4: much fun would it have been to be able to
- 32:45Speaker 4: watch Oscar Sheepway take on Montres Harral and the.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Lopo oh buzz, perfect segue to what I'm getting ready
- 32:54Speaker 3: to talk about. Fantastic. Yes, couldn't agree more. Thank you
- 32:57Speaker 3: for the phone call. Good to hear from you, buzz.
- 32:59Speaker 3: I appreciate you calling in. Here's what I think. This
- 33:03Speaker 3: is what I would like.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Yes, I would like to see Oscar sheebe, but also
- 33:08Speaker 2: I think the other missing piece. How would you have
- 33:11Speaker 2: liked to have seen DeMarcus Cousin go against Montrezo. Yes
- 33:14Speaker 2: that I think no offense buzz, but I think getting
- 33:19Speaker 2: getting DeMarcus Boogie Cousins out there going against montrezl It
- 33:26Speaker 2: would have been must watch basketball somehow, some way, because
- 33:32Speaker 2: I know that this team is getting really frustrated. If
- 33:35Speaker 2: you listen to the comments after the game, what John
- 33:39Speaker 2: Hood was saying, Listen, we've got all these players that
- 33:41Speaker 2: want to play for us, but you get you get
- 33:44Speaker 2: keep getting players that just bow out at the last minute.
- 33:47Speaker 2: What do you do? I mean, you can't blame hood.
- 33:50Speaker 2: You can't blame the other guy, Tawny. I can't think
- 33:52Speaker 2: of his name. Who is Yeah, that's who it is.
- 33:56Speaker 2: But you can't blame them. And they supposedly have these
- 34:02Speaker 2: players already to play and then they back out last minute.
- 34:05Speaker 2: So all right, I don't want to get into it
- 34:07Speaker 2: yet because I want to say, plenty of time for this.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Let's go ahead and take a break right now, and
- 34:13Speaker 2: when we come back, let's talk about the Lo f
- 34:17Speaker 2: Amelia game versus the Ville last night, and the fireworks
- 34:22Speaker 2: really would happen. That was the exciting part after the game.
- 34:25Speaker 6: Stay right there, lor Jessica's coming out.
- 35:09Speaker 2: I have no idea who this is my morning jacket.
- 35:14Speaker 2: I was gonna say, this sounds really good. I love
- 35:17Speaker 2: my morning jacket. They're pretty good. Oh you want me
- 35:22Speaker 2: to keep it going?
- 35:23Speaker 4: Oh?
- 35:23Speaker 3: Absolutely? I mean yeah, I want to hear this. You
- 35:26Speaker 3: played a local band. I want to And everybody's yelling
- 35:29Speaker 3: at me because I keep talking over it. That's one
- 35:37Speaker 3: thing we don't play enough on the show when we
- 35:39Speaker 3: need to do more.
- 35:39Speaker 2: You know, we play a lot of J D. Shellburn.
- 35:43Speaker 2: We need to play more My Morning Jacket. Okay, I'm
- 35:45Speaker 2: just telling you right now we might need to do
- 35:48Speaker 2: an alternating you know, like you used to do Jimmy
- 35:51Speaker 2: Buffett Thursday, j D. Shellburn the next Thursday. I think
- 35:55Speaker 2: we need to add My Morning Jacket because I want
- 36:00Speaker 2: to support local bands, and they are a phenomenal band
- 36:04Speaker 2: that we don't hear much of anymore.
- 36:06Speaker 3: Yeah, we can do it Tuesday. Oh why Tuesday Tuesdays
- 36:10Speaker 3: where I play this type of music normally?
- 36:12Speaker 2: What do you mean this type of music like that
- 36:15Speaker 2: sounds racist? Alternative rock? I guess. Oh, now, I see
- 36:19Speaker 2: you're talking my language right there, because I am all
- 36:22Speaker 2: about alternative rock. What's the first band you think of
- 36:25Speaker 2: when you say alternative rock? I think of all American Rejects? Really? Yeah? Interesting, Okay,
- 36:31Speaker 2: I would have not said them. I think all Americans.
- 36:35Speaker 2: I mean, the American Rejects are more on the mainstream.
- 36:37Speaker 2: They're like one of my favorites, are they really? I
- 36:39Speaker 2: like all American Rejects. I've seen them in concert. They
- 36:42Speaker 2: were good. But uh, all right, let's talk about La Familia.
- 36:47Speaker 2: I mean, we'll talk about the game for a secondment.
- 36:49Speaker 2: I don't think that's the majority of the conversation. Montrezl
- 36:53Speaker 2: Harreld don dominated. There you go. We're done with the game.
- 36:55Speaker 2: Exactly thirty five points. I mean, nobody could stop them.
- 36:59Speaker 2: But if you had Demark Cousins, if you had Oscar
- 37:01Speaker 2: she I think Oscar shet and I appreciate buzz saying
- 37:04Speaker 2: Oscar Sheep, Oscar would huh. Oscar would have struggled with
- 37:08Speaker 2: Harold last night. I don't think DeMarcus would have because
- 37:11Speaker 2: DeMarcus would have gone dirty exactly, and and going dirty
- 37:15Speaker 2: on Montrezl would have made Montrezl have technical fouls and
- 37:19Speaker 2: he would have been kicked out of the game. That
- 37:21Speaker 2: would have been the greatest thing ever. You would have
- 37:24Speaker 2: had dueling technical fouls by the two of those guys.
- 37:27Speaker 2: But yeah, you're right, that's that's Montrezl had thirty five done.
- 37:31Speaker 2: We're done with the game. There's nothing else to talk about. Now,
- 37:35Speaker 2: let's talk about the drama afterwards. Uh, if you haven't
- 37:38Speaker 2: seen it yet, where have you've been? Aaron Harrison took
- 37:42Speaker 2: to Twitter, Well, it took the showcial media. If you
- 37:44Speaker 2: want to be completely honest, saying, I don't see how
- 37:48Speaker 2: you can say you will show up and be committed
- 37:51Speaker 2: then don't show up at all the week of question mark,
- 37:55Speaker 2: question mark, question mark, question mark, we could have gotten
- 37:58Speaker 2: different players that unto play and not play with people.
- 38:02Speaker 2: Time sucker poop and then he puts a poop emoji
- 38:06Speaker 2: out there. I love the fact he does sucker and
- 38:09Speaker 2: then poop emoji. I love that that made me laugh.
- 38:13Speaker 2: I gotta believe he was mad. But on the other hand,
- 38:16Speaker 2: he was probably laughing at the same time too. And
- 38:19Speaker 2: this is all about Archie Goodwin, right, this is all
- 38:22Speaker 2: only about Archie Goodwin. Archie Goodwin responds, He says, come
- 38:29Speaker 2: into the internet when you could have just hit me
- 38:32Speaker 2: up or asked twenty what's going on? Is a sucker
- 38:35Speaker 2: poop do better dog with a WG. This is great,
- 38:40Speaker 2: it is This is exactly what I signed up for.
- 38:44Speaker 2: Everybody in Big Blue Nation, I would say ninety nine
- 38:49Speaker 2: point nine percent are behind Aaron Harrison, for sure, I
- 38:54Speaker 2: would say ninety five. I'm not gonna go real high,
- 38:58Speaker 2: but ninety five or of the percent of the Big
- 39:01Speaker 2: Blue Nation are against Archie good One. I agree, and
- 39:07Speaker 2: I'm thinking Aaron's right. Now. Could he have handled it
- 39:12Speaker 2: a different way? Maybe, But you know what, I don't
- 39:21Speaker 2: mind what he did. I can understand why Archie good
- 39:25Speaker 2: One's upset, but after all this drama, now, is there
- 39:30Speaker 2: any way Archie Goodwin is gonna play Wednesday night? I
- 39:34Speaker 2: couldn't imagine. I see, I'm the same way. It's like
- 39:36Speaker 2: he's done, and what a terrible way to go out.
- 39:41Speaker 2: It's just listen, I'm all about commitment. Once you commit
- 39:46Speaker 2: to something, no matter how much you regret it, no
- 39:49Speaker 2: matter how much you want to get out of it. Hey, dude,
- 39:52Speaker 2: you better have a really good reason to not stick
- 39:56Speaker 2: to your commitment. And for these players keep dropping out,
- 40:01Speaker 2: I think I think the one that really had a
- 40:03Speaker 2: pretty good reason to drop out might have been Kurt Christo.
- 40:07Speaker 2: He got arrested by the FBI. Yeah, I mean, that's
- 40:11Speaker 2: a good reason to be get out, to get yourself
- 40:13Speaker 2: out of playing for La Familia.
- 40:16Speaker 3: Although that probably wasn't his choice, that's somebody probably made
- 40:21Speaker 3: the choice for it.
- 40:22Speaker 2: I think so. Well, No, he made the choice himself. No, no, no, no, no,
- 40:25Speaker 2: let's not make a mistake out of that. He made
- 40:28Speaker 2: the choice himself. No, I mean to not play. No, no, no,
- 40:32Speaker 2: he made the choice himself.
- 40:33Speaker 3: I bet if he had his druthers, he'd be here
- 40:35Speaker 3: playing instead of in prison. Oh absolutely, But again he
- 40:39Speaker 3: made the choice himself back when he was playing for
- 40:43Speaker 3: West Virginia.
- 40:44Speaker 2: So you just don't do those kind of things. Now.
- 40:48Speaker 2: I don't know what's going on with Kwade Green. I
- 40:50Speaker 2: don't know what's going on with Archie Goodwin. I don't
- 40:53Speaker 2: know what's going on who else, Travis Reed or reed Travis.
- 40:57Speaker 2: I always get that mixed up. Still to this day,
- 41:00Speaker 2: I don't know which way his name goes. And so
- 41:03Speaker 2: I just it's like, commit to it or don't if
- 41:06Speaker 2: you're not going. If you think that, I don't know
- 41:09Speaker 2: if I can let them know early or just don't
- 41:12Speaker 2: do it at all. And and here's what I say
- 41:15Speaker 2: to the twenty. Now, don't ask those players again. Don't
- 41:20Speaker 2: even consider them. I don't know how desperate you get.
- 41:24Speaker 2: I don't care. Don't ask them because they've dumped on
- 41:27Speaker 2: you once. Don't make them make you look like a
- 41:30Speaker 2: fool the second time.
- 41:31Speaker 3: Well, then you got the report that came out last
- 41:34Speaker 3: night as well from twenty that there's six guys exactly
- 41:38Speaker 3: ready to come and suit up for this team. Well,
- 41:40Speaker 3: then why weren't they Why weren't they in the fold
- 41:43Speaker 3: to begin with? Right, So, if you're struggling with numbers
- 41:46Speaker 3: and you can't fill out this roster, maybe we should
- 41:49Speaker 3: have got those six in the fold.
- 41:50Speaker 2: I don't know. Listen, I'm gonna blame the name. Okay,
- 41:52Speaker 2: I'm tired of the whole laf Amelia. That was a
- 41:55Speaker 2: that was a thing. Let's move on from loaf Amelia.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Let's let's call them something else. Historic historic ball or
- 42:04Speaker 2: a historic memorial ball. Okay, something along those. Well, I
- 42:09Speaker 2: mean that's something, all right, reps, rep something I don't care.
- 42:13Speaker 2: Come up with something. Oh that's a great name. I
- 42:19Speaker 2: love that. That's perfect. Drop the lat familiar. Go with
- 42:23Speaker 2: basketball bennies, you know what I do. I would sponsor
- 42:27Speaker 2: it because it's close to being a bennette. You're a bennette.
- 42:31Speaker 2: Didn't even you didn't even know you were in it.
- 42:33Speaker 2: So no, I'm all about it. Change it to something else.
- 42:37Speaker 2: I'm sick of the whole lot Amelia thing. And finally
- 42:40Speaker 2: I get to to say it correctly. But uh no,
- 42:44Speaker 2: dump those players wouldn't have been fun if they could
- 42:47Speaker 2: have gotten to Marcus Cousins. That whole two thousand and
- 42:50Speaker 2: what was it?
- 42:51Speaker 1: Uh?
- 42:53Speaker 2: The first team John Wall? What if John Wall came
- 42:56Speaker 2: back and played, would he commits anymore? Why not? Exactly?
- 43:01Speaker 2: He's not playing anymore in the NBA, so why not
- 43:03Speaker 2: come play here?
- 43:03Speaker 3: No, I don't think he's gonna play it all. In general,
- 43:05Speaker 3: Bring Rajan Rondo. I guarantee he's in perfect shape to
- 43:09Speaker 3: go play. Sure, bring his son while you're out.
- 43:12Speaker 2: You can't do that. Bring them both? No, I can't
- 43:14Speaker 2: do that. It's not associated with college. No, but that
- 43:17Speaker 2: you can't risk. He's got his whole career ahead of him. No, no, no,
- 43:24Speaker 2: I can't do that. Also, could have two million dollars
- 43:26Speaker 2: of him. Yeah, but would it be fun? Nothing against
- 43:28Speaker 2: Sean Hood, nothing against him. What if you brought Tubby
- 43:33Speaker 2: back to coach the team? Sure? I know a lot
- 43:37Speaker 2: of people. Whoa, whoa, whoa. What if he brought him
- 43:39Speaker 2: back and then all of a sudden, all Tubby wants
- 43:42Speaker 2: to do is run up and down the court, not
- 43:44Speaker 2: this conservative offense. That would be awesome. I would love it. Uh,
- 43:48Speaker 2: but yeah, it's just it's disappointing. It's disappointing to see
- 43:52Speaker 2: that these players come in and then all of a sudden,
- 43:55Speaker 2: I'm a little busy, just like, come on, Archie, good one.
- 43:58Speaker 2: Uh you do better, dog with a w Okay, it's
- 44:03Speaker 2: just you got no one to blame but yourself. You
- 44:06Speaker 2: got called out for it on public social media. You
- 44:12Speaker 2: deserve it. And Aaron Harrison, I'm right there with you.
- 44:16Speaker 2: I'm standing right there with you, and I'm supporting you. Hey,
- 44:18Speaker 2: call Michael Bennett. I'll be ready to play. I'll last
- 44:21Speaker 2: about thirty seconds, but I'll be out there for thirty seconds, okay,
- 44:25Speaker 2: and I'll support you anyway I can. But listen all four,
- 44:30Speaker 2: all for of them, one thousand percent? What do you think?
- 44:35Speaker 3: Sorry? I was reading the YouTube chat. Oh we don't
- 44:38Speaker 3: ever do a lot of oh we have. I didn't
- 44:40Speaker 3: realize we have YouTube We never get YouTube chats. But
- 44:44Speaker 3: let's hear it. So Josh says on the YouTube that
- 44:46Speaker 3: Kwi Hey Green didn't show up. Nothing new, he didn't
- 44:49Speaker 3: show up for k N time when he was here.
- 44:53Speaker 3: Oh my, basically just chat back and forth.
- 44:57Speaker 2: Okay, all right, then how much time do I before
- 45:00Speaker 2: we had break for the hour? Tutes? Okay? We got
- 45:02Speaker 2: two minutes. Uh, let me get to a couple of these, uh,
- 45:07Speaker 2: forty eight handily said, no big cookies, hands down, you
- 45:11Speaker 2: can have them forty eight handily really, I hate them.
- 45:15Speaker 2: I love no bake cook's. I don't know something. Is
- 45:17Speaker 2: that the one with the chocolate and the oatmeal in it? Yeah? Oh,
- 45:20Speaker 2: I love that was the only thing back in elementary
- 45:24Speaker 2: school that I loved that right there. And pizza day,
- 45:28Speaker 2: Pizza day with no big cookies. You're nuts. I don't
- 45:31Speaker 2: know what you want to do, never have like okay?
- 45:34Speaker 2: Uh Local John said, uh, I still have my tonsils
- 45:39Speaker 2: and wisdom teeth and I am forty years of age.
- 45:42Speaker 3: Wow, still has his wisdom teeth on top of it, John,
- 45:46Speaker 3: get your wisdom teeth taken out.
- 45:47Speaker 2: It's yes, I deal with some of what Justin is
- 45:49Speaker 2: dealing with sometimes throughout the year. I will still go
- 45:53Speaker 2: work out within a few days if I got the
- 45:56Speaker 2: surgery man. All this crazy roster situation for a lot
- 45:59Speaker 2: of me is downright crazy. I hope they can figure
- 46:02Speaker 2: it out to win the next game. I really like
- 46:05Speaker 2: BBQ grippos and I scooped them in some French onion dip.
- 46:10Speaker 2: Y'all are coming with some horrible suggestions today. No, they're not.
- 46:14Speaker 3: No bake cookies. And now gripples are awesome. Why do
- 46:17Speaker 3: you not like gripples? The barbecue is awesome. It's a
- 46:20Speaker 3: horrible I believe with.
- 46:22Speaker 2: A lot of joy and passion that Kentucky Football and
- 46:26Speaker 2: coach Don will win at least six games or possibly more.
- 46:30Speaker 2: Gotta go talk to you later, man, John. I love
- 46:36Speaker 2: your confidence right there. I would like to believe it too. Listen,
- 46:41Speaker 2: there are people that are saying the Big Blue Wall
- 46:44Speaker 2: is back. If the Big Blue Wall is back and
- 46:48Speaker 2: the ghost of John Schlarman is out there on the
- 46:50Speaker 2: field with him, I kind of get that vibe too.
- 46:54Speaker 2: This could be a fun season. I don't know we're
- 46:56Speaker 2: gonna see, but I just I get to a point
- 47:00Speaker 2: was like, Okay, I I don't know why Media Days
- 47:04Speaker 2: is so well. I guess because of practice is getting
- 47:06Speaker 2: ready to start. They couldn't do it in the middle of
- 47:08Speaker 2: practice getting ready for the season start. But it would
- 47:10Speaker 2: be fun if Media Days was maybe two or three
- 47:14Speaker 2: weeks before the season starts. Now I'm at a point
- 47:16Speaker 2: where I want to start right now. All right, we
- 47:18Speaker 2: got to take a break hour two coming right up,
- 47:20Speaker 2: stay right there.
- 47:40Speaker 1: Welcome to just the Cats with Michael Bennett.
- 47:48Speaker 2: All right, now we're number two on this Tuesday. Let
- 47:52Speaker 2: me get to a couple of these before we do
- 47:54Speaker 2: anything else. But because I you know, I appreciate sitting
- 47:57Speaker 2: people sitting text in and I want them to do
- 48:00Speaker 2: more of it, and I want to make sure they
- 48:02Speaker 2: do it, so I want to make sure I share
- 48:03Speaker 2: them with you as well. But uh, one person said,
- 48:07Speaker 2: I can't hear baby Ruth without it being in the
- 48:11Speaker 2: voice of Sloth from Goonies. Please, for the love of
- 48:15Speaker 2: God's scoots, tell me you've seen that at least. Hold on,
- 48:23Speaker 2: hold on, hold on. I'm gonna say you have no
- 48:27Speaker 2: I might change my mind. I was gonna say, there's
- 48:29Speaker 2: no way you be. I bet you have seen Goonies.
- 48:32Speaker 2: So I have not seen Goonies. And let me tell
- 48:35Speaker 2: you why, Oh my gosh lost that one my least
- 48:39Speaker 2: favorite teacher in high school, missus Jones. I think she's
- 48:42Speaker 2: passed on at this point, so rest in peace. She
- 48:46Speaker 2: always told me that I looked like.
- 48:49Speaker 3: Chunk from the Goonies, And as someone who had never
- 48:54Speaker 3: seen the Goonies, yes, I found that incredibly offensive. So
- 49:00Speaker 3: out of spite, I never watched the goods.
- 49:03Speaker 2: Really Yeah, okay, well I'm so sorry about that, but
- 49:07Speaker 2: that was pretty funny. One person said. Convenience Stories also
- 49:11Speaker 2: started Earnest with their commercials. Hey Vern, man, I loved those,
- 49:18Speaker 2: and everybody in Louisville was saying, Hey Vern, back at y'all.
- 49:21Speaker 2: Don't even know what I'm talking about, do you no
- 49:23Speaker 2: he's a former comedic actor from Louisville. Well, no, no, no,
- 49:28Speaker 2: I don't think he's from Louisville. I think he's some
- 49:30Speaker 2: somewhere Taylorsville or I want to say something like that.
- 49:35Speaker 2: He's from Kentucky and he did these Do you even
- 49:38Speaker 2: know what convenience store is? I don't. Okay, it was
- 49:42Speaker 2: the original go to convenience type store, which was called Convenient.
- 49:48Speaker 2: Probably could have put that together. Yes, And they did
- 49:51Speaker 2: commercials and it was this guy from Kentucky that said,
- 49:54Speaker 2: Hey Vern, it was hilarious. I guarantee you. You can
- 49:58Speaker 2: go on YouTube right now and just put in their
- 50:01Speaker 2: Earnest hay Burn and it'll come up with one of
- 50:04Speaker 2: the Convenient commercials. That's what I love about YouTube is
- 50:08Speaker 2: that you can go look up crap like that and
- 50:10Speaker 2: watch it. Back then, they used I was thinking about
- 50:12Speaker 2: this the other day. I think it was a Bank
- 50:14Speaker 2: of Louisville. In fact, I know it was. They used
- 50:18Speaker 2: to do these, am I born you. They used to
- 50:21Speaker 2: do these commercials where it had this really famous actor
- 50:27Speaker 2: on there and it would be like a Louisville historical moment,
- 50:32Speaker 2: and then at the end he had the little saying
- 50:34Speaker 2: that he would say, there are banks, and there's the
- 50:37Speaker 2: Bank of Louisville, and how like that. I loved it,
- 50:40Speaker 2: but I looked forward. Those were must watch commercials because
- 50:45Speaker 2: I love the historical side that he was saying about
- 50:48Speaker 2: the city of Louisville. They were great. There were banks
- 50:51Speaker 2: in there is a Bank of Louisville. All right, here's
- 50:52Speaker 2: one of the convenience ones.
- 50:54Speaker 7: Hey burn, look what I found in my daddy's claus
- 50:57Speaker 7: You know, I bet you this is from the big ones,
- 50:59Speaker 7: you know, WW two boy. I bet them were some
- 51:02Speaker 7: great times. I know because I never miss Hogan's Heroes
- 51:05Speaker 7: on WDBJ seven, you know, with Schultz and Hogan and
- 51:09Speaker 7: common Dot Clint Hogan's Heroes week days on your hometown station.
- 51:15Speaker 2: You know, vern this must be some kind of a
- 51:17Speaker 2: cigarette lighter. That's not a convenient commercial. That's where something
- 51:23Speaker 2: for Hogan's hero from some other TV station I've never
- 51:28Speaker 2: heard of. But uh, anyway, but we gotta get to
- 51:30Speaker 2: I'll get back to your Texas hits were done. Please
- 51:32Speaker 2: keep sending him five O two four one four fourteen fifty.
- 51:35Speaker 2: But you know it's Tuesday, and you know what that means,
- 51:37Speaker 2: don't you?
- 51:38Speaker 5: Justin you know, I know, minstead of time of seek,
- 51:43Speaker 5: I mean back time, got time time?
- 51:58Speaker 2: Corey Price, I know you went Saturday. That must have
- 52:03Speaker 2: been a blast going to Historical Historic Memorial Coliseum watching
- 52:07Speaker 2: you lof Amelia beat the Ville. Did you buy chance
- 52:11Speaker 2: to go last night?
- 52:13Speaker 8: I did, Michael, it was it was nothing short of embarrassing. Yeah,
- 52:21Speaker 8: I don't know if the lack of effort is just
- 52:23Speaker 8: they had no answer for it. For Harold, he did
- 52:25Speaker 8: whatever he wanted the whole game. Uh, it's a route.
- 52:31Speaker 8: It was just a beat down, yeap. I mean, there's
- 52:33Speaker 8: no other way to say it. And and I don't
- 52:35Speaker 8: know who Harrold is, but his name is Montresl. Okay,
- 52:38Speaker 8: let's just his Harrow was his last name. Yeah, yeah, Montrezl.
- 52:41Speaker 8: But listen, I'm just gonna stick to Montrezl. I mean
- 52:44Speaker 8: that's what he goes by montrezl Right, yeah, okay, all right,
- 52:48Speaker 8: I want to embarrass you anymore.
- 52:49Speaker 2: I'm sorry, it's not embarrassing, is okay? Go buy this
- 52:52Speaker 2: last name? All right?
- 52:52Speaker 8: But it's a three game serious for a reason. And
- 52:55Speaker 8: so it's going back to lex still on Wednesday. I'll
- 52:57Speaker 8: be there and hopefully can win it out. I mean,
- 53:00Speaker 8: they're about have to find something on defense for harrow.
- 53:03Speaker 8: Uh Willie I think.
- 53:05Speaker 2: Did he not play the first game? Who Montrese he played? Yeah?
- 53:11Speaker 8: They were I think they were not very smart and
- 53:14Speaker 8: they didn't give him give them the ball a lot
- 53:16Speaker 8: now they know, Yeah, yeah, the secrets out Willie's ankle
- 53:19Speaker 8: on on what's going on with that? And of course,
- 53:22Speaker 8: uh there's no talent, what's going on with Reeed Travis
- 53:24Speaker 8: and uh Marcus Lee you know Marcus Lee?
- 53:28Speaker 2: Yeah, so uh.
- 53:29Speaker 8: Yeah, uh, they gotta find something and less than two
- 53:33Speaker 8: days to stop him.
- 53:35Speaker 3: So we'll see, yeah hopefully, well no, let's see, yeah exactly,
- 53:39Speaker 3: we're just uh what thirty six hours away, thirty four
- 53:42Speaker 3: hours away now so until they play, So something's gotta happen.
- 53:46Speaker 2: You're going to drive over there. Where where did you
- 53:48Speaker 2: sit last night I was behind the bench. Ah did
- 53:53Speaker 2: you how did you get the great seats? I had
- 53:56Speaker 2: a press pass? You're wow? Wow? Press? Yeah? I mean yeah,
- 54:05Speaker 2: I mean I want to know. Not really it was.
- 54:09Speaker 8: I mean I had no intention of getting one, but
- 54:14Speaker 8: they actually reached out to me and asked if I
- 54:16Speaker 8: would if if I would fill a form to get
- 54:18Speaker 8: the chance of getting press pass.
- 54:20Speaker 2: Was like, I'm not gonna say no. So I fill
- 54:22Speaker 2: it out and I got a press pass. Wow. I'm

- 54:47Speaker 2: of the best media dinners.
- 54:50Speaker 8: Basketball football has great great cookies. Yeah, popcorn.
- 54:56Speaker 2: Yeah. South Carolina has probably the best of anybody. They
- 54:59Speaker 2: had uh brisket. I think they had prime rib. They
- 55:03Speaker 2: had all guys listen. I used to rate the different
- 55:06Speaker 2: schools on what they did. Florida was by far the
- 55:08Speaker 2: worst worst box lunch ever had in my life.
- 55:11Speaker 8: I know in Knoxville you can get ice cream after halftime?
- 55:16Speaker 3: Really, yeah, only after halftime. I don't you dare try
- 55:21Speaker 3: to getting it before half time.
- 55:22Speaker 2: I don't know why it's not the first half. Yeah,

- 55:47Speaker 8: You'll like this name Michael created by Matthew Wiener.
- 55:55Speaker 3: Why would you say something like that because that's a
- 55:57Speaker 3: name that that's the name only in my Michael bennettould.
- 56:00Speaker 2: Like, isn't it? Isn't it? Winer? Oh, I don't know.

- 57:02Speaker 8: wouldn't fly.
- 57:04Speaker 2: Yeah, but it wasn't made in twenty twenty six. That's correct.
- 57:06Speaker 3: Look at air I mean, look at this movie Airplane.
- 57:08Speaker 3: That dude he's ever seen a boy naked? Hence why

- 57:51Speaker 8: Funniest movies.
- 57:52Speaker 3: No, I loved Revenge of the Nerds. Great movie, it's
- 57:56Speaker 3: it is funny, But Loger was my favorite. There's a
- 57:58Speaker 3: singer too that you know probaly would't make it today.
- 58:00Speaker 2: Oh, come on, there's a scene. There's several scenes in
- 58:03Speaker 2: the office that would make what about family guy? What about?
- 58:06Speaker 4: Uh?
- 58:06Speaker 3: What's the other one? Y'all really liked that? I think
- 58:08Speaker 3: it's hilarious. South Park, South Park. There is not a
- 58:12Speaker 3: single scene that would last today. Very offensive, Southwelles. I

- 58:50Speaker 2: wrong with you? I mean, I take it in age. Well, yeah, I.
- 58:53Speaker 8: Mean that girl from me, it's probably it's probably nice
- 58:57Speaker 8: to go to movies with your wife.
- 58:59Speaker 2: That's all I'm saying. It's okay to do things separately. Patrician,
- 59:03Speaker 2: I do things alone. I don't like it, but we

- 59:38Speaker 2: That he does. I don't know either. He's that great looking.
- 59:40Speaker 2: I don't think so either, but I don't. I don't
- 59:44Speaker 2: get it, and I think he's a goof.
- 59:47Speaker 8: Sorry, don't hold back, Michael and tell us how you
- 59:50Speaker 8: I know. I'm sure he's a nice guy. I'm so sorry, Ryan.
- 59:54Speaker 8: We're not going to be best friends, are we?
- 59:56Speaker 2: Probably.
- 59:57Speaker 8: Film gross approximately six hundred and thirty two million dollars domestically,
- 1:00:04Speaker 8: obviously the highest chruction film of twenty twenty three.

- 1:01:09Speaker 8: Have you seen Matt Damon's latest film, No, I have not.

- 1:01:55Speaker 2: Stop it? The Western film High Noon israeleasent theaters. That's
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: not my genre. That was my dad. Yeah, my dad
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: loved any Western out there, and I'd watch him typically
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: like a John Wayne Or was his favorite. But yeah,
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: I just know I didn't see that one. World War
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: two absolutely I would watch it, doesn't matter what year
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: it was.
- 1:02:17Speaker 8: Did you see the new episodes of the World War
- 1:02:19Speaker 8: Two thing? Last night with Tom Hanks.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: I did not.
- 1:02:22Speaker 8: I turned it on, then I fell asleep. Sounds like
- 1:02:25Speaker 8: you were excited for it.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: I know it. I was disappointed about the basketball game.
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: That was too. That's still watching it.
- 1:02:30Speaker 8: Directed by Fred Zennamon, starring Lloyd Bridges, Lon Cheney, Gary Cooper,

- 1:02:54Speaker 2: Jeff Bridges's father? Exactly? Very good, Cory. That's right, and
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: that's seven.
- 1:03:00Speaker 8: The American Film Institute ranked the movie number twenty sevens
- 1:03:04Speaker 8: list of the one hundred top one hundred films in
- 1:03:06Speaker 8: Americans in them a History last one. I think Michael
- 1:03:11Speaker 8: might like this. July twenty fifth, two thousand and three.
- 1:03:13Speaker 8: The sports film Seabiscuit is Yes, I know you're a
- 1:03:17Speaker 8: big horse horse guy. Oh yeah, uh, Scoots saying Sea Biscuit.
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: No, I ain't seen it really, No, Okay, you've got
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: to go watch it.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: You won't, but it's a great isn't it like super long?
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: I don't think it's terribly long.
- 1:03:35Speaker 8: Directed by Gary Ross, its stars Elizabeth Banks, Oh Yeah,
- 1:03:39Speaker 8: Jeff Bridges, Expestion, Chris Cooper, WIMH Macy, Tobey maguire, and
- 1:03:44Speaker 8: Gary Stevens. The Jockey Yeah film gross approximately one hundred
- 1:03:48Speaker 8: and twenty point three million dollars domestically, making it the
- 1:03:51Speaker 8: seventeenth highest grossing film of two thousand and three and
- 1:03:55Speaker 8: two thousand and six. The American Film Institute ranked the
- 1:03:57Speaker 8: movie number fiftys of the one hundred most inspiring films
- 1:04:01Speaker 8: American cinema history.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: I met Gary Stevens the week before Derby this year.
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: He's sitting in the golf cart talking to me, and
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: all I could think of you were in Sea Biscuit.
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: That's all I could think of. And probably I don't
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: think he would like that. I think he wants to
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: be better known for his writing ability on horses. Being
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: in Kentucky Derby's all the races he's won, and all
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: I can think of a sea biscuit. That's a great
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: example of the book being better than the movie, and
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: the book was a thousand times better than the movie.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: I don't read books so oh gee, you know, have
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: you seen those ads where you just point your phone
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: at the book and then the title comes up, and
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: then the phone reads the book to you. That's all
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: you gotta have.
- 1:04:48Speaker 8: No, you could do that, so I can't. I can
- 1:04:51Speaker 8: ever compare. I can always go about the movies.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: So really, okay, well the book was better, and I know,
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: but I will say this, the movie was phenomenal. Cory's
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: because you can't read. That's it. I know. I'm not
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: sure how I got through school, but I made it.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: Why would you like reading books?
- 1:05:08Speaker 8: I'm I'm a math guy. I'm I'm a I'm that that.
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: I gotta read problems. Okay, all right, see I hate
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: reading books, but I read them. I forced myself to it.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: It's it's tough, yeah, because I have attention issues. I
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: struggle that. I know. It's shocking.
- 1:05:26Speaker 8: More power to force stuff to read. I can't force
- 1:05:29Speaker 8: myself to read. All right, what's the last book you read?
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: Man? Uh? Okay, there you go. Maybe senior year of college.
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: Probably you read a book since then. I know my
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: man over here has read all the books to uh
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: Harry Potter, Oh yeah, every one? You know there are
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: three thousand pages long as per book four times, they
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: might be fifty thousand pages long. Wasn't the last book
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: you read justin.
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: I would have been in the second Harry Potter, probably
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: a year and a half ago or so, maybe two
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: years ago, okay.
- 1:06:07Speaker 8: My senior year was seven oh eight, so somewhere routween
- 1:06:10Speaker 8: eighteen and nineteen years ago probably.
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: I'm reading a really good World War two book right
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: now on the Pacific. Uh yeah, fiction or no, no, no, no,
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: completely real. It's where these guys called the Bowl, where
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: these former football players great got together before they did
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: a big battle in the Pacific Ocean during World War Two.
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: It's a great book. But yeah, anyway, sorry about that.
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: I think you'll like the shows last night, Tom Anks.
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: I will I really yeah, yeah, I gotta go back
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: and watch it. It's getting it's getting towards the end
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: of it. Yeah yeah, so a spoiler.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: See. I want to watch that because I haven't kept
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: up with him the other one I haven't watched all
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: kind of savoring it as the new Larry David one
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: life Liberty in the Pursuit of Unhappiness been. People are
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: saying it's nominal. I can tell you all what not
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: to watch? What the hawk? I don't even know what
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: that is. It's that Will Ferrell Golf show really so bad? Really?
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: Are we surprised by that? Very much? So, yeah, you
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: are surprised, I'm not. And he's been promoting it so
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: much it almost makes you feel like, yeah, it's gotta
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: be really padful if he's putting that much entergy.
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: I mean, I'm gonna watch it all because it's there,
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: but I'm not happy.
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: About it, really, I'm I'm surprised, but I'm not surprised.
- 1:07:33Speaker 8: It's a shame because I mean, Will has made so
- 1:07:36Speaker 8: many great things, you know.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: And it's almost to the point where between who's doing
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: worse now him or Adam Sandler coming out with products,
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: and it's almost a virtual tie as far as I'm concerned.
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: Neither of them have come out with anything funny, halfway decent,
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: worthwhile other than the Golf movie was pretty good, the
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: sequel Happy Gilmore that Adam Sandler or just did what
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: was that last year it came out? It was pretty good.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: It wasn't clearly wasn't as good as the first one.
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: But neither of them are coming out with anything good.
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: They're just cash in the check.
- 1:08:11Speaker 8: Do you see David Spade in uh bus boys? No,
- 1:08:15Speaker 8: it's uh, It's okay.
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: Really I like David Spate. I mean you ever watch
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: his podcast Fly on the Wall with him and Dana Garvey.
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: That's a good one. Yeah, Oh do you really neither? Huh? Interesting?
- 1:08:32Speaker 8: I mean pretty much all all that work is is
- 1:08:34Speaker 8: listened to to podcasts. You know, some of the in
- 1:08:38Speaker 8: my ear when I'm working, you know.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: Yeah, good for you, Yeah, because I'll I'll listen to
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: that one. And then he's going to roll his eye
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: justin is I love Conan needs a friend? I'd love
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: it too. Yeah.
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: When you said that, Michael, I was like, I'm gonna
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: roll my eyes just on purpose here, I know. But
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: then that was a total legiti roll.
- 1:08:56Speaker 8: Like my podcast is kind of reading sort of not
- 1:09:02Speaker 8: quite but okay, fair enough? Well, I do both, so
- 1:09:06Speaker 8: I forced myself to read, even though I truly don't
- 1:09:09Speaker 8: enjoy it.
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: Well, Corey, at least you're not one of those people
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: that post about reading their four hundred and thirtieth book,
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: only for people to find out it was all audio books.
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: You're not reading squat?
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: Who did?
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: I have so many friends they post how many books
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: they read every year. That's not you're right, that's not
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: read them. They listen to them. That's not you're not
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: reading a book. No, and uh, I don't know. I've
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: had a few people tell me, Michael, just go listen
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: to the book if you struggle so much with comprehension,
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: and it's like, well, it forces me to comprehend, so
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: I'm kind of defeating the purpose of why I'm doing.
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: It'd be worse if you listen, you think so, yeah,
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: because I'm my brain works very much like yours when
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: it comes to reading. Yeah, and I sometimes I got
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: to read a sentence two or three times. I'm like,
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: what did I just read? Well, and then I can't
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: comprehend it.
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: If you're listening, just think about all the stuff you're
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: going to miss. Maybe so, but it might get me
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: through the books a lot quicker. You should read Warren Piece. No,
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: I've already read that. I had to force to read
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: that in high school. I heard hard Pass. Yes, it
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: was miserable. I don't like that genre either, But no,
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: not no, thank you. It's a long book, so it
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: would it would take some time. Okay, yeah, it definitely
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: take me. Probably. Warren Piece of a time, so we'll
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: go through a war and then another piece and then
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: probably another war. But anyway, all right, Corey, you're head
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: to the Lexington tomorrow. You have a prediction for the
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: game tomorrow night? What do you think is going to
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: happen this between La Familia and the Bill? I just
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: loll exactly, just be disrespect and calm Louisville.
- 1:10:47Speaker 8: I don't know the status of uh will his ankle,
- 1:10:51Speaker 8: and I don't see Read or Marcus coming, So no.
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: There's no way Marcus is coming after Aaron Harrison had
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: just called him out. Good one, so our good one.
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 1:11:04Speaker 8: I hate to say it, but I just don't see
- 1:11:06Speaker 8: them having anyone. They they can stop Harold. They tried
- 1:11:09Speaker 8: the zone a few times and it didn't work.
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: I just.
- 1:11:15Speaker 8: They have no answer for for Harold. So I mean, yeah,
- 1:11:19Speaker 8: just say it, Corey. The vill will probably win.
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: Yes, all right? If there was a former player, because
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: this is something we talked about a little earlier. There's
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: a former player that you would like to see play
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: next year? Who would it be one or two players
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: that's not in the NBA right because they be correct? Yeah,
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: because they're not gonna play, you know, I wouldn't mind.
- 1:11:43Speaker 8: Derek Willis, Oh, Derek Willis interesting.
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: I wouldn't I would. I said to Marcus Cousins, who
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: is the big goofy white kid that went on to
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: get bag Kyle wil Yeah, Kyle Wilter would be great.
- 1:11:57Speaker 8: Kyleture was not a big goofy white kid he was was?
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: Yeah, he was. No offense to Kyle Wilter. He was
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: a big goofy white kid. How was he not?
- 1:12:08Speaker 8: I wouldn't say it was goofy? Okay, you look goofy exactly,
- 1:12:13Speaker 8: thank you, but.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: Uh yeah, and I'm enough of this. Once a wildcat,
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: always a wildcat. You are if you stay and graduate
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: from UK. Well there's lots of wildcats. No offense to Wilter.
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: He didn't stay, He went somewhere else, and he's no
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: longer a wildcat to me. Well there are always cats
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: to me, Mike, Okay. Well see that's why everybody loves
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: Corey Price. Everybody dislikes Michael, even Michael, even Michael Bennett
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: dislikes Michael Bennett. So anyway, all right, Corey, always fun
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: having you here, Thank you very much. I like your
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: top button be button. Well you know I do this
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: only for you. I'm flattered this is this is a
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: Corey Price day, and I got to make sure Corey
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: Price is comfortable with our top buttons. All but even
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: though how uncomfortable this thing is. If only Scots wore
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: a polo, you.
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: Know, No, No, that would just one day. I would
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: like him to dress up appropriate.
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: I wore a polo when we were on our remote
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: front of Oh you, did you look nice? Did you
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: button your top button? Neck? No? Yeah, my neck is
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: entirely too fat, exactly. It's a shame, all right, did
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: Corey Price? Good luck tomorrow. I look forward to seeing.
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: You next all the luck we can possibly get, we do.
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: You're exactly right, but sorry, that's Corey Price. Everybody, We're
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: gonna take a break. I'll get back to your text
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: messages as soon as we get back. Stay right there,
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: more justic kats coming right.
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: All right? Stick away the little basketball news. By the way,
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: if you want to text in, you can do it
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: Bible two four one four fourteen fifty on the Whiskey
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: feed text line. Uh so uh Nate Oates. I don't
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: know if you saw this or not. Landed a seven
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: foot Canadian center who is unranked as of yesterday. Uh,
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: TJ Sat. I'm assuming it's Saint Louis TJ because it's
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: spelled Saint Louis. But he's from Canada, so you tell
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: me if I'm right or wrong. Justin. But uh uh,
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: you know, when I see Saint Louis is your last name,
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: I'm always thinking of Marty Saint Louis that used to
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: play hockey, who's only like five foot nine. This dude's
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: seven foot only a freshman. He's the only freshman on
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: the roster and the only center that NATO's has right now.
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: So it's kind of an interesting get. But I mean
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: he's seven foot I guess NATO's is like, well, I
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: better find a center real quick. The only offer this
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: young man had, TJ. Saint Louis was from Eastern Michigan.
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: So you look at this and think, okay, Eastern Michigan, Alabama.
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: I guess I'll go to Alabama. Maybe they got a deal.
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: And this is kind of a budget move. I don't know,
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: but I found that very interesting.
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: Yeah, but when you make budget purchases, how often do
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: they end up being budget items?
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: More times than not? Exactly exactly, So I'm thinking this
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: is this is okay, whatever you want, Natos, But I
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: was surprised to find out. I didn't even know he
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: didn't even have a center. I didn't even know he
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: didn't have a freshman down at Alabama. That doesn't really
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: that's the craziest part. Yeah, this is where college athletics
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: is getting crazy, where there will be teams. Rick Patino's
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: famous for Saint John's. He doesn't sign freshman. Let those
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: freshmen go somewhere else first, learn how to play the game.
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: Then I'll take him as a good player. I'm not
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: going to develop anybody, And I honestly, I think that's
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: a smart move. I just I like the way Rick
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: Patino's handling it. So anyway, Uh, but you had a
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: bit of breaking news as we were on break. You
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: do you want to reveal what just happened?
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: Yeah, So for those unaware, if you if you don't
- 1:16:43Speaker 3: follow Michael on Twitter, you can just the GT Radio.
- 1:16:46Speaker 3: But he puts out a show tweet every day about
- 1:16:49Speaker 3: what we're gonna talk about, what's what's upcoming? Basically what
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: we do in cross talk. Well, you're you're one today
- 1:16:55Speaker 3: you put out today We talk Aaron Beef with Archie
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: Goodwin you football having success because of will Stein blah
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: blah blah. But you tagged Aaron Harrison and Archie Goodwe,
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: which that's not out of the norm.
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: Yeah, not at all.
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: I feel like any time we talk about somebody you
- 1:17:12Speaker 3: tagged him on Twitter. Yes, So Archie comes back during
- 1:17:17Speaker 3: that break there and he just simply responds to your
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: tweet and says, don't tag me and stuff like this,
- 1:17:24Speaker 3: And I'm not beefing with nobody. This just immature. It's hilarious.
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: Here's the best part. Are you ready, Archie Goodwood blocked me.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: I am not exaggerating. I go back to try and
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: respond to him. I'm blocked, Archie. It's just a why
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: are you getting so upset? Archie? This is making you
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: look worse. Just to let you know. People make fun
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: of me all the time. Do I block them? No?
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: Now when they get belligerent, I do. There's I bet
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: there's very few people I have blocked, but I bet
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: most of the people can guess, well, I didn't block him,
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: but he is muted. But there is one person I debt, well,
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: two people out muted. But no, it says Archie, come on, man,
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: have a little fun. How do you see who you've blocked.
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: I don't think. I try to respond. Then I go
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: to look at his his handle and uh and it
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: says right underneath there, Archie Goodwin has blocked you. So
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: there you go. You didn't even respond. I didn't. I
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: didn't say anything. It's like, well, wait a minute.
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: I know you don't have a beef with Aaron Harrison,
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: but Aaron does with you. Where did I say he
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: had Archie had a beef with him? Seriously, God, this
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: makes me laugh.
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: I will say that that that that Archie Goodwin tweeting
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: me back makes my day? Is that terrible to say? No?
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: I mean, it's just God. That made me laugh. So
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: I haven't blocked anybody. Oh really, No, there's a few people.
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: There's some U of L and Tennessee people out blocked.
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: They were just they went over the edge. It's like, okay,
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: we're done here. But uh no, I don't normally block people.
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: My favorite text is texted in he goes rant of
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: the day. It's time that someone said this, I do
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: not mess with Rotisseri chicken. It's slimy, usually under season,
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: and leaves me wishing it was fried. Maybe store bought
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: isn't the route to go. If someone's me, ma has
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: a good recipe, let me know, Uh doesn't. Isn't the
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: whole rave the costco rotisserie chicken. I have no idea.
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: I've always heard it is the best. Now there are
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: people that are coming out with recipes where you simply
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: go get the rotisserie chicken. I'm not a big brotisserie
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: chicken guy. It's okay. I mean it's it's every now
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: and then I'll get anchoring for a little bit of
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: a rotissary. I'm the same way. The only thing I
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: would say, mister Illinois, I had a buddy of mine
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: that bought me this thing that cooks chicken and the
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: beer canned chicken. It's unbelievable. So if you want to
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: cook it that way, go cook it that way. But yeah,
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: all right, let's talk about lettuce. Gross? Is that because
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: of what's happening right now? Are you saying gross because
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: you generally don't like I mean, obviously what's happening right now?
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: Because everyone should like lettus right, yes, everyone should like lettuce.
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: But have you stopped eating lettuce all together?
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: You know what's really funny. I don't eat taco bell
- 1:20:48Speaker 3: all that frequently.
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: Yeah. I love Taco Belts. It's probably my favorite fast
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: food restaurant.
- 1:20:55Speaker 3: It's it's up there for me as well. But for
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: whatever reason, I just I don't really.
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: Visit it all that often.
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: Okay, Well, the last probably two and a half weeks,
- 1:21:04Speaker 3: I have went on three different occasions, which is really
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: really out of the norm for me. Yeah, well, then
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: I'll see the story. Well, I guess there was this
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: weekend or Friday whenever it was that it's been linked
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: to Taco.
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: Bells in Oh. Yeah, yep.
- 1:21:19Speaker 3: So I had some leftover Taco bell and I was
- 1:21:22Speaker 3: going to have for lunch on Friday, but and ID
- 1:21:25Speaker 3: let us on it.
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: So I you know what I did? You tossed it
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: through in the trash good man. Yeah. Uh, here's what's happening.
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: Sales for Taco Bell are you ready for this? Have
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: fallen five point eight percent. Yeah, that's been and you know,
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: it's one of the top. It is the top franchise
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: for young young brands, and they're they're really hurting right now.
- 1:21:47Speaker 3: It just sucks for them because it's completely out of
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: their control. Like they're they're getting their lettuce from a
- 1:21:52Speaker 3: distributor that they always have gotten their less for them.
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: It's just that's where the outbreak. Lettuce sales has fallen
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: eleven percent. Surprise, it's only that much, and the lettuce
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: industry generates three point seventy nine billion in annual US
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: retail sales. That but that's still significant. Eleven percent. That's
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: thirty eight thirty Yeah, roughly thirty eight million dollars right there.
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: Some retailers are discounting unaffected lettuce by fifty percent, fifty percent,
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: and they're still not keeping up. So it's it's not
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: just hurt this one poor company that's been sending out
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: bad lettuce, but it's hurting the entire lettuce. I feel
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: bad for those people. What if you Its like, do
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: we do everything to make sure our lettuce is clean
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: and disease proof, yet we're having to slash our prices
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: by fifty percent because of someone else? Should that would
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: be miserable? Shouldn't it be the opposite though? Like, if
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: you know your stuff is clean and good to go,
- 1:22:54Speaker 2: shouldn't you be doubling your price?
- 1:22:56Speaker 3: Hey, check out that that's a clean grit, yeah, and
- 1:23:00Speaker 3: selling it to where this is why we are confident
- 1:23:04Speaker 3: about our product.
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: You're exactly right. I think that's a great point. Yet
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: they're not doing it. I can't answer that. So you
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: think they would Lives having some serious problems, aren't they. Yeah,
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: they're reeling starting to pile up as a vendor called
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: Mobi Systems Group, which is a Canadian tech company. They're
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: behind that any shot, anytime broadcast feature is now suing
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: Live for a million dollars. And not only that, the
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: league stopped paying its bills and says that Live has
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: over one million in unpaid bills. How much longer are
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: they going to survive? Not two years? Maybe? Why at
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: this point? At this point? Why? I mean their viewership
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: is around a half a million on major broadcasts companies.
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: Nobody's watching it. You got to have a meme. That's
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: really some people. I say, that's a lot, Michael, Yeah,
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: it's not. Yeah, but it's a really great thing. Michael.
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: We can play team golf and it's something different day
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: to me. To me, they're wasting the time. Did all
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: those players get their money up front? By the way?
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: They did? Didn't they? They did? Okay, so they got
- 1:24:19Speaker 2: their money. If I'm one of those players, like, okay,
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: how do I get out of this? Because at that point.
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: Should the PGA, and this is kind of the question
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: that everybody's asking as far as golf concerns, should the
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: PGA allow them to come back in?
- 1:24:36Speaker 3: I mean, they have a system setup where they can
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: get back in, but there's so many things that you
- 1:24:42Speaker 3: have to do to get back on the PGA tour.
- 1:24:45Speaker 3: Like Brooks, Koepka got back in and he went through
- 1:24:48Speaker 3: everything that he had to go through to do so,
- 1:24:50Speaker 3: but he's still not getting invited to every tournament. There's
- 1:24:54Speaker 3: a lot of tournaments where he's an alternative and that'll
- 1:24:57Speaker 3: be the same with the rest of them.
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's the way should be. I mean, they
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: got to earn their way back into the PGA, which
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: they will. If they're good enough, they're going to get
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: back in. Anyway, Everybody wants Bryceon to Shambo back in,
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: don't they? I do. You can't deny he is a
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: phenomenal golfer. You you might not like his antics, like
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: especially what happened last weekend, but are off the course.
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: But he's a powerhouse and we want him there and
- 1:25:27Speaker 2: I want him, like I said yesterday, I want to
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: see him play and partner up with Roy McElroy I
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: think that will be must watch TV. All Right, we
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: gotta take our last break. I'll get to your Texas
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: soon as we get back. Plus, if we have time,
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: I got this Philadelphia story I want to talk about too.
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: It happened there again, so we'll talk about that as well.
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: Stay right there. One more segment of just Cats coming up. Hey,
- 1:26:26Speaker 2: great calling music today. Just want to You do a
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: great job all the time, but you've done a even
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: better job today. I got a little bit more breaking news,
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: you know, with all these ESPN and NFL network layoffs.
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: It just broke about thirty minutes ago. Carl Ravitch was
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: laid off by the ESPN. Really, yeah, thirty three years
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: with ESPN. Oh, how are they having layoffs at the
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: NFL network when the NFL makes billions of dollars. That
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: doesn't really make a lot of sense. It doesn't make
- 1:26:59Speaker 2: any sense to me. By the way, A lot of
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: people are saying that they're very sorry for the loss
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: with Carl Rabits. I like Carl Rabbits, and uh, I
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: don't think he'll have any problems finding another job. To you, probably.
- 1:27:12Speaker 3: He's one of those great fun Remember, he's the guy
- 1:27:15Speaker 3: that does the little lea World Series.
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: It's like, oh, you're now so I was. I was
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: really disappointed to hear that. Uh. Josh texted out la
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: familia more like Lacu karacha very nice.
- 1:27:31Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: One person said, Kings of leon U was with Zach Bryan.
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: As far as junk foods, reseason Crippos, there's another Grippo.
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: I love Grippo is wrong with you? Are good? By
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: the way they tried it. They tried Reces with white
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: chocolate one time? Did they still have that? It was gross?
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: They also did they do an oreo version of Reces
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: that I still have yet to tribe. But they're incredible?
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: Are they really? I don't know. I haven't tried him,
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: but I'm not interested. No, But but you know the
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: whole Kings of Leon and Zach Bryan. Zach Bryan he's
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: real popular right now, isn't he. I've heard a couple
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: of his songs, But you is he really country? Is
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: he kind of the more mainstream today's type of country?
- 1:28:21Speaker 3: Consider him like mainstream today's country. Yeah, he's just got
- 1:28:25Speaker 3: a little bit of a different style. He's kind of cool, yeh,
- 1:28:27Speaker 3: isn't he? Is he the former military guy that I
- 1:28:31Speaker 3: don't know.
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: I think so. But yeah, there are some of Zach
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: or Ryan stuff that I really like. H One person,
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: Jamie said he's been blocking everyone talking about Archie Griffin.
- 1:28:43Speaker 2: Matt Sack from RUP to No Good was last night.
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: I saw that.
- 1:28:49Speaker 3: Oh really, although admittedly Sack said that he had got
- 1:28:52Speaker 3: blocked last summer.
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: Oh really, that's a shame. I mean, explain yourself. Then
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: he's like, I got real life issues. It's like, okay, well,
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: then explain yourself what your real life excuse is about
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: skipping out last minute. I just can't believe. Don't do that.
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: I just can't believe he blocked you for putting out
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: that show. I don't know what I said. I didn't
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: say he was having a beef with Aaron. Aaron's having
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: a beef with him, and he is. What did I
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: lie about? Did I say anything that was inaccurate?
- 1:29:27Speaker 3: Not that I could tell exactly as far as I'm
- 1:29:30Speaker 3: gonna I wasn't making fun of him.
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: I didn't say anything bad. Mean, I just told the truth.
- 1:29:38Speaker 2: Aaron has a beef with him, does he not seems
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: like it? And he blocked me for it? Oh? It does?
- 1:29:45Speaker 3: It? May?
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: I hate to tell you Archie. You made me laugh.
- 1:29:48Speaker 2: I mean it kind of made my day. Let me
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: see here, let me get to the right one here. Surely, Michael,
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: as long as Scoots doesn't start calling you Timmy, you
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: got nothing to worry about. And don't call me surely,
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: Blazing saddles couldn't be made today either. Ooh, yeah, you're
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: you're right about that. Wait, why would I call you Timmy?
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: I'm confused. I don't remember why that was. And don't
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: call me Shirley was from airplane? I don't remember. Oh,
- 1:30:21Speaker 2: Timmy is the little kid. Oh yeah, Timmy's the little
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: kid in the Do you like you like Gandy? You
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: want to see you grow men naked? That's Timmy. I
- 1:30:30Speaker 2: believe Ryan Gosling was funny and Beavis and butt Head
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: sketch for SNL's Davas. Yes he was. Yeah, that was
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: pretty funny.
- 1:30:37Speaker 3: I'll admit that, and the whole He did another sketch
- 1:30:41Speaker 3: where he was at a house, a new neighbor's house
- 1:30:44Speaker 3: where they wanted to meet Santa Claus, and he was
- 1:30:49Speaker 3: going nuts because he wanted that little angel to come
- 1:30:52Speaker 3: downstairs and have his wife sit on the real Santa
- 1:30:55Speaker 3: Claus lap.
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: That was pretty funny. Lloyd Bridges was also in air
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: Plane in hot Shots. I forgot about hot Shots and
- 1:31:02Speaker 2: I forgot about Airplane. He was. He was funny in that.
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: Lloyd Bridges was a funny, comedic actor, even though for
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: the most of his career he was a very serious
- 1:31:12Speaker 2: drama actor. But yeah, great actor. I always like Lloyd Bridges.
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: A random question, Michael, have you met Chris mccarren. Remind
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: me who Chris McCarron is. I'm looking it up right now. Okay,
- 1:31:27Speaker 2: Scoot's trying to use taco bell to lose weight. Oh,
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: Chris McCarron, he's the jockey. Yeah. Yeah, I have never
- 1:31:36Speaker 2: met Chris mccarren. No, I never have. There's a lot
- 1:31:39Speaker 2: of them out there that I have. I met the
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: Ortiz boys, Brian Hernandez met him. There's a lot of
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: people in horse racing I have had the honor and
- 1:31:49Speaker 2: meeting and I will say one of my greatest is
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: probably John Sadler. I just I love John Sadler. I
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: mean he If you don't know who John Sadler is, uh,
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: he's he had a big weekend by the week this
- 1:32:03Speaker 2: past weekend, Delmar. But John Sadler train I think the
- 1:32:08Speaker 2: second greatest horse of all time. And I know you're
- 1:32:11Speaker 2: gonna say sovereign, sovereignty, Okay, all right, whatever, But flight
- 1:32:16Speaker 2: Line was one of the greatest horses behind Secretariat. So
- 1:32:22Speaker 2: and you'll probably add sovereignty up there. I agree with you.
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: But flight Line, uh just earns so much money and
- 1:32:29Speaker 2: was a great horse. And he was trained by John Sadler.
- 1:32:32Speaker 2: Go look him up. Great guy. I've just I've come
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: to where he's one of my favorite trainers out there.
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: But anyway, all right, so tomorrow we'll be talking about
- 1:32:44Speaker 2: we got two minutes, okay, we'll be talking about the
- 1:32:48Speaker 2: whole game. We'll get you ready for that.
- 1:32:52Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: The other thing I do before we go, why is
- 1:32:55Speaker 2: Lebron taking so long? At Seriously? I mean it's almost
- 1:33:00Speaker 2: like some of these who is the player that took
- 1:33:03Speaker 2: so long to side? He ends up going to Kansas
- 1:33:06Speaker 2: out of Kentucky and no UCLA, And I can't think
- 1:33:10Speaker 2: of his name. It doesn't matter anymore. He's he's, he's,
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: he's out of my mind. I don't even want to
- 1:33:14Speaker 2: think about it. But I don't understand this whole situation
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: with Lebron James.
- 1:33:19Speaker 3: I I would imagine that he's already got it figured out,
- 1:33:22Speaker 3: just a matter of announcing it. Really, it's been long enough. Yeah,
- 1:33:28Speaker 3: we didn't get so.
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: Last night Phillies two fans were out to catch a
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: home run. The one Phillies fan catches it with his hat,
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: The hat goes, the ball goes, the ball comes out
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: of the hat. Another fan in an Eagle shirt gets
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: the ball. Who keeps the ball? Who's ball? Exactly? Did
- 1:33:49Speaker 2: you see the video? No, but fan keeps it exactly.
- 1:33:53Speaker 2: So the the the other fan that had a Phillies
- 1:33:57Speaker 2: jersey on, pants falling down and everything, he goes, dude,
- 1:34:00Speaker 2: that's my ball. It was in the hat, it's my ball,
- 1:34:03Speaker 2: and he takes the ball away from the guy in
- 1:34:06Speaker 2: the Eagles jersey.
- 1:34:07Speaker 3: The only exception where I would be okay with that
- 1:34:10Speaker 3: is if Phillies jersey guy had a kid, then yeah,
- 1:34:14Speaker 3: give me a kid. Give it to him. It's his ball,
- 1:34:17Speaker 3: so he can give to his kid. There's no kids involved. Yeah,
- 1:34:19Speaker 3: it's Eagles fan.
- 1:34:21Speaker 2: The Phillies fan. Jersey guy is being called out by
- 1:34:25Speaker 2: everybody as the next Karen. I thought it was the
- 1:34:28Speaker 2: most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.
- 1:34:30Speaker 3: A stupid baseball is that always these Phillies fans that
- 1:34:33Speaker 3: want a baseball so freaking back?
- 1:34:35Speaker 2: I don't know. In the funny part, there's a lady
- 1:34:38Speaker 2: behind him that looks like that lady that went over
- 1:34:40Speaker 2: and complained. Oh it's it's hilarious. I mean, there's gonna
- 1:34:43Speaker 2: be all kinds of especially with the Phillies fan his
- 1:34:46Speaker 2: pants falling down, all this kind of stuff. Why do
- 1:34:48Speaker 2: you wear an Eagles jersey to a Phillies baseball game?
- 1:34:52Speaker 2: I didn't get that. But anyway, all right, we'll see tomorrow. Everybody,
- 1:34:55Speaker 2: have a great day. I appreciate you listening. Be on
- 1:35:01Speaker 2: my last game. Oh mama, it's okay, baby, it's.
- 1:35:11Speaker 5: A long game.
- 1:35:12Speaker 3: It could be my lave one weekend.
- 1:35:15Speaker 2: Who el
