- 0:04Speaker 2: Good morning everybody you are listening to the voice, come on,
- 0:08Speaker 2: dig me? Now what and only Steve Harvey got a
- 0:11Speaker 2: radio show? Man or mad almost forgot I had one
- 0:15Speaker 2: this morning. But I'm okay. I'll tell you who I
- 0:19Speaker 2: am in a little bit. You know, I get around. Man,
- 0:21Speaker 2: it's so much. But man, good morning everybody. You know today.
- 0:27Speaker 2: I was having a conversation with my wife last night
- 0:30Speaker 2: and we were talking about our plans. You know, we
- 0:34Speaker 2: often sit down, you know, just like a married couple.
- 0:37Speaker 2: I mean, you know, you know we're married. You know,
- 0:39Speaker 2: we have children, we have aspirations, we have hopes, well,
- 0:43Speaker 2: I mean know, we have things we want. You know,
- 0:45Speaker 2: when you're married, you know, I mean, it's important to
- 0:48Speaker 2: sit with your partner. I'm not telling you anything, you
- 0:50Speaker 2: don't know. It's common sense. Really, It's important to sit
- 0:54Speaker 2: down with the person that you've chosen and decided to
- 0:57Speaker 2: share your life with it and have multiple conversations on
- 1:00Speaker 2: a lot of things. And we try to make sure
- 1:03Speaker 2: that all of our conversations aren't always just business related
- 1:08Speaker 2: and always kid related, you know, because that that that
- 1:12Speaker 2: becomes it's a part of it. But it weighs so
- 1:17Speaker 2: much on the marriage that because that's the grunt work
- 1:21Speaker 2: of being married. You know, your children, your family, your bills,
- 1:25Speaker 2: your your mortgage, your your car notes, you know the
- 1:29Speaker 2: what's due, what's coming up, and if you're not careful,
- 1:35Speaker 2: you'll you'll start that becomes the focal point of you
- 1:38Speaker 2: all's conversation. And this woman or man or person that
- 1:42Speaker 2: you've decided to have this life with, all of a sudden,
- 1:46Speaker 2: they're an extension of your business, and you guys become
- 1:51Speaker 2: business partners or whatever, and it just gets so Anyway,
- 1:55Speaker 2: I'm just saying that that is important to sit down
- 1:57Speaker 2: and have these conversations, but it's even more important to
- 2:01Speaker 2: have the other conversation. You know, it's important with the
- 2:05Speaker 2: person that you're planning on making the run with to
- 2:08Speaker 2: sit down and talk about other things, you know, on
- 2:11Speaker 2: a more upbeat note. You know, we were having a
- 2:15Speaker 2: conversation and she was reminding me of what she loved
- 2:20Speaker 2: about me, and then I, in turn, was turned around
- 2:23Speaker 2: telling her the things that I admired about her and
- 2:26Speaker 2: loved about her. And we kind of have these all
- 2:29Speaker 2: the time, you know, when we sit down and we
- 2:32Speaker 2: talk about the things that we still enjoy about one another,
- 2:36Speaker 2: or we may talk about some of the things that
- 2:38Speaker 2: we miss in one another. But we constantly have these
- 2:41Speaker 2: conversations about appreciation. You know, it's so important man that
- 2:46Speaker 2: the other person feels appreciated. So these things are important.
- 2:50Speaker 2: But we got into the conversation deeper last night, and
- 2:54Speaker 2: I was telling her about this idea that I had
- 2:58Speaker 2: and that I wanted her to help help me with
- 3:00Speaker 2: and make a phone call for me because she knows
- 3:03Speaker 2: these people. And I was going to be doing this,
- 3:06Speaker 2: and then my wife reminded me of something, not once again,
- 3:10Speaker 2: you know, as always, you know, when I'm talking to you,
- 3:12Speaker 2: I just keep it as real as I can. I
- 3:15Speaker 2: don't know the Bible inside out. I can't quote to
- 3:18Speaker 2: you scriptures and tell you exactly where it is. I
- 3:21Speaker 2: just you know, I heard her say it, but it
- 3:23Speaker 2: kind of blew by me.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I was.
- 3:27Speaker 2: I was telling her about something I wanted to make happen,
- 3:29Speaker 2: and she reminded me that there's a scripture somewhere and
- 3:32Speaker 2: somebody emailed it to me today. I'm sure. Well, the
- 3:36Speaker 2: Bible reminds us not to be anxious for anything. Don't
- 3:40Speaker 2: be anxious for something, and you know, It really mattered
- 3:44Speaker 2: to me at that point yesterday that she brought this
- 3:47Speaker 2: to my attention, because how many times I've been guilty
- 3:50Speaker 2: of that in my past and I've learned better now,
- 3:54Speaker 2: but every now and then I need to be reminded,
- 3:57Speaker 2: you know, And I think what that what she was
- 4:00Speaker 2: saying to me was, you know, I've gotten to a
- 4:03Speaker 2: point in my life and when we all should get
- 4:06Speaker 2: to a point where you know, you've heard old people
- 4:09Speaker 2: say this, If you're gonna pray about something, then don't
- 4:12Speaker 2: worry about it, And if you're gonna worry about it,
- 4:14Speaker 2: don't pray about it. Back to this, be anxious for nothing,
- 4:20Speaker 2: don't If you're going to trust in God, didn't do that,
- 4:25Speaker 2: And trusting in him means sometimes you got to be patient.
- 4:31Speaker 2: God has never been too late. You don't know the
- 4:35Speaker 2: plan he has, You don't know. You don't really always
- 4:38Speaker 2: know his will. You definitely don't know his route, his
- 4:41Speaker 2: way of doing anything. So he's always on time. He's
- 4:45Speaker 2: always been there on time for me, He's always been
- 4:49Speaker 2: there on time for you. How many times have you
- 4:52Speaker 2: thought it was over only to find out it's really
- 4:55Speaker 2: just begun.
- 4:57Speaker 1: How many times have people wrote you off.
- 5:01Speaker 2: There are those of you who have lost jobs, but
- 5:05Speaker 2: you are still maintaining. But man, God has already began
- 5:10Speaker 2: to turn around process for many of us. Some of
- 5:14Speaker 2: us lost jobs and now have better jobs. Some of
- 5:18Speaker 2: us lost jobs and now has forced us to rekindle
- 5:22Speaker 2: that dream and that vision for business we had. Sometimes
- 5:26Speaker 2: the mishap is the thing you need to make something
- 5:31Speaker 2: good happen. See a lot of times we get so
- 5:34Speaker 2: comfortable in our life where we just we get complacent,
- 5:39Speaker 2: We just settled in and when this is it and
- 5:42Speaker 2: this is what I'm doing. But in actuality, God has
- 5:45Speaker 2: a tremendous amount of abundance for you. He has an
- 5:49Speaker 2: amazing amount of things. He has all these boxes packaged
- 5:53Speaker 2: up with your name on him that he's willing to
- 5:55Speaker 2: ship if you would just align yourself with some of
- 6:00Speaker 2: his wills so you could get some of these things.
- 6:02Speaker 2: How many times have you thought it was over and
- 6:05Speaker 2: it didn't really go over? How many times have you
- 6:08Speaker 2: thought have well, this is it and it wasn't it
- 6:12Speaker 2: at all?
- 6:12Speaker 1: Well, how many times have you thought.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Well, it don't look like this gonna work out, and
- 6:16Speaker 2: it didn't work out, but then something better came along?
- 6:19Speaker 2: How many times has that happened. You've got to realize this.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Man.
- 6:24Speaker 2: I was talking to a family who had got displaced
- 6:27Speaker 2: from the Katrina thing that happened down there in New Orleans.
- 6:31Speaker 1: And man, when they said.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Yeah, we got a displaced from Katrina, and I braced
- 6:36Speaker 2: myself because, oh woe is me? Here comes this story.
- 6:38Speaker 2: I gotta hear this, and I gotta be encouraged and
- 6:41Speaker 2: think of something. It was totally different. They totally totally
- 6:45Speaker 2: blew me away.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Man.
- 6:47Speaker 2: The brother said, Man, is actually the best thing that
- 6:50Speaker 2: ever happened to my family. And I went whoa And
- 6:53Speaker 2: he said, yeah, man, he said, because what happened was
- 6:57Speaker 2: he said, I got settled in.
- 6:59Speaker 1: He said.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Plus, I was doing some things outside of my marriage
- 7:03Speaker 2: down there, He said, I was doing some stuff in
- 7:05Speaker 2: the streets I ain't need to be doing. He said, Man,
- 7:08Speaker 2: it all got washed away. We thought our life would
- 7:10Speaker 2: never be the same. But he said, man, my life
- 7:12Speaker 2: ain't need to be the same. He said, Man. Now
- 7:16Speaker 2: we live up here in Texas. We got a house.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Don't know nobody, he said, I ain't got nobody I
- 7:22Speaker 2: know to get into trouble with. He said, Man, I
- 7:24Speaker 2: done rediscovered my wife how beautiful she really is, how
- 7:27Speaker 2: much my family really was counting on me, And he said, man,
- 7:30Speaker 2: it straightened me up. Man, he said, so, I gotta
- 7:33Speaker 2: tell you, Steve, it was the best thing that ever
- 7:35Speaker 2: happened to me. Now that's not always the case, but
- 7:38Speaker 2: it's how you look at a situation. But just don't
- 7:41Speaker 2: be anxious for anything, because God got a fix for
- 7:45Speaker 2: you if you just let him work. So just stay
- 7:48Speaker 2: on course, stay focused, don't lose faith, don't be anxious.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Man, just stay in the wheel. Let God work with you.
- 7:56Speaker 2: He got some great stuff in store for you.
