  So I've been coughing a lot last week or so and I'm on like the

  End of it. So, like my voice cracks in and

  out and I'm getting kind of that, you know, the Deep recipe,

  the kind of thing. So there's that you have to

  adjust, pardon me for this episode, but I did not want to
• 7:55
  let that stop me. I can still obviously talk just
• 7:59
  fine or find enough. So anyway, it is the eve before

  New Year's Eve. So it's New Years Eve, Eve.

  At the time of this, This broadcast where you guys are
• 8:15
  catching it. So let's talk a bit about the
• 8:19
  state of the channel. Since a lot of folks that are
• 8:23
  catching, this are going to be seeing it on YouTube.
• 8:28
  And there has not been a lot of other content going up on
• 8:31
  YouTube. Now for the last several months,
• 8:33
  really not regularly. I used to post Excuse me.
• 8:41
  I used to post regular videos over on.
• 8:49
  The channel. Obviously, I would post regular
• 8:52
  videos usually on a weekly basis but they were losing their
• 8:56
  Cadence. They were like some days I post
• 8:58
  on Friday some days. I'd live stream on a Saturday.

  Some days I post videos on a Sunday or Monday, there was no
• 9:04
  real schedule Rhyme or Reason and I was struggling to get that
• 9:08
  Under Wraps to have a regular cane.
• 9:11
  So you guys out here that do watch the Youtube videos and
• 9:14
  enjoy that stuff, get it on a regular basis and on, and on a
• 9:18
  consistent basis. You know that way, you know,
• 9:21
  every week at whatever time whatever day they'll be
• 9:24
  something that comes out. So in what's taking over the
• 9:28
  with that regular Cadence of things, is this podcast, which
• 9:33
  is a lot of fun. It works better for me just
• 9:37
  because of my work schedule. It doesn't It doesn't take up as
• 9:43
  much of my time and post edit because this is a very raw very,
• 9:47
  very real. Very, you know, you see what you
• 9:51
  get, you get what you see and there's not a lot of work
• 9:54
  afterwards that goes into it. The reason that that's kind of
• 10:00
  gone down as far as like regular videos that come out here that I
• 10:04
  pre record and upload about heathen related, things largely
• 10:08
  due to the root large For that. Is because the machine, the
• 10:12
  laptop that I work off of that. I have my video editing software
• 10:17
  on is very, very slow, right? It's older.
• 10:30
  And it's going to take me a while to clean it up or, or to
• 10:34
  do something to get it. Fixed.
• 10:36
  The software that I use the video editing, software is
• 10:38
  outdated, there's not even any support for it.
• 10:41
  Anymore. And any new video, editing
• 10:45
  software that I get is not going to be supported on the machine
• 10:48
  that I'm using. It is a Windows laptop.
• 10:50
  It's a Dell. You know, latitude whatever.
• 10:53
  I don't know and I you know oddly enough I work in it and
• 10:58
  stuff and so I get it. You know, there's there's I work
• 11:04
  on a machine that's way better. My work machine is way better
• 11:06
  than the my personal machine. So, when tilling and, unless I
• 11:11
  can For to get a new personal laptop that's just not really in
• 11:15
  the car it hasn't been in the in the cards to get anything like
• 11:18
  that. There's been other more pressing
• 11:20
  matters, Financial things that come up that require attention.
• 11:23
  I have to get my car fixed, all these kinds of day-to-day life
• 11:26
  stuff that I just don't have the Expendable income right now, to
• 11:31
  get a new machine to get new video, editing software and all
• 11:34
  that kind of stuff. So, that's why those videos have
• 11:36
  been tapering off. I'm very limited with how much
• 11:39
  you know, because once I record a video I might be a 20 minute
• 11:42
  long video but it'll take me three hours, four hours, and
• 11:45
  post edit to work on it. My machine will crash in the
• 11:48
  software crashes and it's very frustrating.
• 11:51
  So, all that being said, you know, I've just not been too
• 11:56
  keen on wanting to do much with that and spend more time with
• 12:00
  that stuff during the week. Now, I do realize that everybody
• 12:03
  that I, of course subscribe to my channel and is it is a paid
• 12:07
  member of the channel, expect certain things out of Channel.
• 12:11
  Expect certain things out of me, we're going to get into that.
• 12:14
  That's part of this whole state of the channel thing.
• 12:16
  But I wanted to start the state of the channel address with
• 12:19
  saying kind of why those other videos non podcast related
• 12:23
  videos are had dwindled and have you know, not been that frequent
• 12:31
  anymore. That's largely dude.
• 12:33
  That's the large reason why my machine just can't handle my
• 12:37
  personal machine that I use to edit videos and all that kind of
• 12:41
  stuff. The way I want to do it it's
• 12:44
  just it takes more time that there's always time that is
• 12:47
  needed and posted it on, you know, you can't avoid that.
• 12:50
  But if I had a better machine at an upgraded machine, I'd be able
• 12:54
  to do it much more efficiently, much quicker.
• 12:56
  So, that's the reason. So let's get into some of the
• 13:05
  things that I have set up that are ways for this channel to be
• 13:09
  supported. And I tell everybody that, you
• 13:11
  know, The paid memberships for YouTube, the patreon
• 13:16
  subscriptions, the merchandise that you buy and all that kind
• 13:19
  of stuff is very helpful for the growth of this channel because
• 13:25
  the things that I just mentioned, right need to get a
• 13:27
  note computer need to get better video editing software, whatnot.

  You know, those things can and will cost money so what support
• 13:35
  I can get monetarily from folks to the best that I'm able to is.
• 13:41
  Save up for getting those types of things that that are for this
• 13:45
  channel, you know. So for my patrons at you know,
• 13:50
  pay a monthly patreon pledge, you know that money is used or
• 13:58
  set aside rather to to help save up same way with like, you know,
• 14:03
  merchandise and same way with the YouTube channel members.

  So yes you are. You are helping support this
• 14:09
  Channel and even though things haven't exactly Been happening
• 14:13
  that, that I have stated would happen in those memberships.

  Like, for instance, the patreon thing, you know, for those that
• 14:20
  are patrons right now, the patron tears that you pay for,

  you know, at the very base level year, just basically, you get a

  shout-out in the in end credits, you know, you get your name in

  the end credits of my videos which again have been minimal to

  to not really exist in here in the last several months, the

  you know, which I've also dwindled because of other things

  And then like the the highest level is, you get all that other

  stuff. Plus you get a discount on a

  in time. You know, if you want to ruin

  thing. And then the the top-tier

  why, you know, things have been dodgy a bit.

  You know I told you before about the the technical aspects of it,

  where my laptop isn't the greatest, it's an older laptop
• 24:45
  and then the software that I use for editing my videos is, is old
• 24:49
  as well. And it's not even a software
• 24:51
  that's currently supported by Microsoft or Windows, or
• 24:55
  anybody. So, aside from the technical
• 24:59
  reasons, ever since July of this year, you know, things have been
• 25:08
  pretty Rocky when I say rocky. I mean, like, there's just been
• 25:13
  a lot of challenging things in my life. my wife's brother
• 25:21
  passed away very tragically took his life in July plans for my
• 25:29
  wife and I to go visit my family in New York were derailed and
• 25:34
  that happened in a very, you know, I guess I shouldn't say
• 25:40
  unexpected way, but the way that it was derailed was, you know,
• 25:43
  because my family is against me for what I believe in, and how
• 25:49
  I, you know, my religious views me being Pagan is something that
• 25:55
  they have finally reached an impasse that with me on and have
• 26:00
  decided that they no longer wish to have anything to do with me.
• 26:06
  This extends to The fact that my sister and her husband had their
• 26:13
  newborn baby at the end of June and we were planning to come up
• 26:18
  and visit and meet my niece. They told me that we were not
• 26:22
  welcomed because they don't want their daughter around as they
• 26:26
  put it, someone like me. And I know that these, that,
• 26:30
  that my videos get seen, because the discussions that I've had
• 26:37
  with some of my Family members have been around what I share on
• 26:43
  on social media, and on my channel.
• 26:46
  So, They listen, they watch, they see, and that's great.
• 26:51
  I have nothing to hide and I am real and I am very proud of who
• 26:56
  I am and the life that I've chosen to live, I may not agree
• 27:03
  or they may not agree with me and I may not agree with them on
• 27:06
  various things, but I respect them for their decision and I
• 27:09
  respect that. As much as I may not like it,
• 27:13
  they are within their rights to be as devoting their beliefs as
• 27:16
  I am in mine. So as difficult as it has been
• 27:21
  to accept those things, that is also been one of the reasons or
• 27:26
  one of the challenges that have come up this year, aside from,
• 27:28
  you know, death in the family and people in my family who have
• 27:34
  who have you know, sever ties or shun me and dealing with some of
• 27:38
  the emotional stress and stuff of that.
• 27:43
  So because of those things early on in the year, Midsummer right?
• 27:48
  My attention and my focus have been drawn inward.
• 27:53
  My wife's brother's death as as severely tragic.
• 27:57
  As it has, as it was has left a very deep wound in her heart and
• 28:04
  one that she will never fully recover from and it's still to
• 28:06
  this day. Something that, you know, we
• 28:09
  have to work through and then she has to battle with and You
• 28:17
  know, so all of my extra time and effort for the last several,
• 28:21
  you know, the months following all that, of course, you know,
• 28:24
  the weeks following, it were very, very difficult.
• 28:26
  We were doing a lot of things with the immediate family and
• 28:30
  funerals and visitations and belongings of things and all the
• 28:35
  kind of stuff that, you know, just comes with dealing with a
• 28:38
  death of a family member, you know, following all that, and it

  Get back to normal as it were, you know, it's been a couple of

  months, dealing with that tragedy here, we are back to our

  normal lives. We went on a mini vacation,

  Found out, you know? Well, I would let us say like

  back up and say we were September.

  Oh so the mini vacation happened at the end of end of July.

  It was it was like the week after Zach had been passed
• 29:54
  Vanessa's brother, my wife's brother.

  Sorry, I'm just trying to remember like time frames of

  thing. So anyway that whole having
• 30:01
  happened, we went on a mini vacation went to East Tennessee.
• 30:04
  Gatlinburg stayed up there for a few days.
• 30:09
  Fast forward into the early fall and found out that we were
• 30:18
  pregnant ran into some complications and we're not able
• 30:23
  to you know, keep the baby. So then there was that loss to
• 30:27
  deal with a very tragic loss felt by both of us.
• 30:32
  So when you know, when I talk about the Cadence of things and
• 30:37
  talked about doing, These, you know, videos, these podcasts and
• 30:40
  stuff like that. I'm really lucky to have been
• 30:43
  able to keep a consistent approach with with with the
• 30:50
  podcast over over all this time, you know?

  But the videos the other videos taking the time after to you
• 31:00
  know, post edit on a machine that doesn't barely work and
• 31:02
  using software. That's outdated.

  I just itches, my heart wasn't in it so, you know, that's that
• 31:11
  that takes us from July into September.

  And again, it was, you know, only a few months after the the
• 31:19
  tragedy took place where in the next tragedy hit, you know,
• 31:22
  having to lose the baby, you know, the pregnancy did not was
• 31:30
  not going to was not going to last.
• 31:31
  There was there was medical health safety issues that were
• 31:36
  at stake, where it would have not been good.
• 31:41
  And to continue the pregnancy there were there were major
• 31:44
  health concerns. And at stake.
• 31:48
  So you know, getting into the fall and Autumn months. you
• 31:57
  know, it was it was All of that tragedy.
• 32:01
  I didn't handle it well and she was struggling to so between all
• 32:06
  that we were, you know, difficult to live with and
• 32:09
  difficult to be around. And, you know, the emotional
• 32:12
  strain in the emotional toll that took place.
• 32:16
  And I know I'm going off into the weeds a bit about whole
• 32:18
  things, but it is, it's part of, you know, you guys expect
• 32:21
  certain things from me, you're not getting them.
• 32:23
  Here's why, you know, may not seem like much for people to
• 32:27
  well, you know, where I didn't get my monthly room.
• 32:30
  Draw for 45 months or whatever. My mind was out square, guys.
• 32:35
  You know, my heart was out swear, and I just being upfront
• 32:38
  and honest about it all. So wanting to clear all that up,
• 32:47
  and let you know that going forward.
• 32:51
  You can expect better, you know, I went on a very important,
• 32:58
  spiritual Retreat, spiritual cleansing, Journey over the
• 33:04
  fall, or the week at the weekend of my birthday actually.
• 33:07
  Am I, you know, I've talked about it here on the podcast,

  with my Goethe and my lost speaker members of My Tribe.
• 33:13
  These guys are brothers to be, we went on a spiritual journey
• 33:21
  and reset everything about us on that journey, and the things
• 33:28
  that took place on that Exodus as it were ordering that camping
• 33:33
  trip. Helped reset.
• 33:36
  A lot of things for me. So, all of that pain, all that
• 33:40
  tragedy all that hurt, you know, It was, you know, a lot of a lot
• 33:46
  of Dusty shelves, were were clear and a lot of old cables
• 33:50
  were yanked out of motherboards and things were, literally just
• 33:55
  reset. It was a hard reset for me, and
• 33:58
  it was a necessary one. And you know, that brings me
• 34:02
  into, you know, right around Thanksgiving time frame.
• 34:06
  And now, here we are at the end of December.
• 34:09
  So my perception, my perspective on things.

  Having been newly refreshed, you know, helps me deal with other
• 34:21
  things that happen in our lives. Some of the tough things, you
• 34:23
  know, and I'm not as easily derailed as I once we're on, I
• 34:29
  feel like I'm in a better position now to handle those
• 34:30
  things. So fortunately those those tough
• 34:34
  times, you know, helped temper me into a more valuable person
• 34:40
  to my, to my people, to my loved ones to my wife.
• 34:44
  Brothers of My Tribe tonight kin and kith around me, you know,
• 34:50
  and I feel like it was a working process.

  It wasn't. It was a time for a for
• 34:54
  adversity to breed worth within me.

  And let the people around me know that they, you know, I went

  through these things and it didn't destroy me.
