- 0:36All right, welcome back to those that have been listening.
- 0:38Thank you so much. And for those that are new,
- 0:42welcome. Stay tuned for more episodes
- 0:45too. But before we get started, we
- 0:48always pray, so I'll lead us in prayer right now.
- 0:52Thank you Father, for just allowing us to to be here, guide
- 0:59us and lead us into the absolute truth.
- 1:03For You are the one true living God, and there is no one who is
- 1:07greater than You. Thank you for everything, O
- 1:10Lord, for another day of life, for giving me breath.
- 1:14Praise your holy name, Amen. Amen.
- 1:18All right, Well, last episode we talked about being tempted,
- 1:24right? And we spoke about, like, how
- 1:28there's a difference when you struggle and when you suffer.
- 1:32There's a huge difference. Yeah.
- 1:33Yeah. And especially as a follower of
- 1:35Christ, you know, you, you start to unlearn, like a lot of
- 1:41things. And because you are unlearning,
- 1:44you also do suffer along the way.
- 1:48Yeah. You know what I mean?
- 1:51The unlearning, I would the unlearning is like there's a
- 1:55little bit of struggle in this in the beginning, I would say
- 1:59maybe. In the beginning, yeah, I say
- 2:01when when you first start because.
- 2:04You're just trying to unlearn it.
- 2:05Yeah, you're trying to unlearn it.
- 2:06And, and, and let's be real here, your faith is, is maybe
- 2:10not as strong as like, compared to like, I know wisdom, wisdom
- 2:14does not come by by age. I know that, right?
- 2:17But like, you know, with faith, you know, you keep depending on
- 2:20God, you keep building that firm foundation on Christ, right?
- 2:23Then your faith, you know, will grow and it'll become strong.
- 2:27But like, you know, in the beginning lust, I would struggle
- 2:32with lust a little bit, you know, and then afterwards, now I
- 2:36can say now confidently now I have a lot of faith in Christ.
- 2:39I do not struggle, I just suffer.
- 2:40Yeah, I think it's not when you mean like faith being strong,
- 2:44meaning it's not that you don't believe, right, Right.
- 2:47You know, you're, you're, you're the work of the Father based on
- 2:51what Christ said to his side, but this is the work of the fact
- 2:52that you have faith. Yeah, right.
- 2:54They believe in SO. That it's a faith, it's just
- 2:56distrusting, it's ongoing trust, the going on thing, it's just
- 3:00conviction. You start to build loyalty.
- 3:02Exactly. You believe it, but now you're
- 3:03acquiring it more and more every time.
- 3:05Yeah. Then when you unlearn these
- 3:07things, you then start to suffer in a good way because you now
- 3:10know the flesh wants it where you're like, no, this is this is
- 3:13just right. This is not it.
- 3:14Exactly. So, like for me growing up in a
- 3:17family, just growing up, and for you too, 'cause we went to the
- 3:22same church, others who, who, who take upon the faith in a
- 3:26cultural way more like, Oh yeah, we're Catholic or yeah, we're
- 3:30Orthodox. Yeah, we're even Protestant.
- 3:31Even them too. They just take it culturally.
- 3:34So it's not like they they just, Oh yeah, yeah, my family, yeah,
- 3:37this is what we are. Or someone from the world when
- 3:39they come, when they come to the faith like with so much
- 3:46intensity and conviction, they've learned so many things
- 3:51in the. World, Yeah.
- 3:52That now has to be unlearned, Correct.
- 3:55And unlearned meaning like, you're going to just forget
- 3:57about it. No, it's you did it.
- 4:00Now you're just going to learn a different way.
- 4:02Exactly. And that's what repents mean,
- 4:04like a change of mind. Exactly to unlearn that.
- 4:06Yeah. And so my sister in Christ did
- 4:10say that that that really intrigued me, what she said.
- 4:12I was like, this is a key point. That was a key phase, what she
- 4:15said. Unlearning.
- 4:17Unlearning, yeah. And and, and and so, yeah, so a
- 4:20lot of the people come to the faith.
- 4:23They're not necessarily taught to unlearn.
- 4:25It's almost like, you know, it's OK.
- 4:28Right, absolutely. It's OK, right?
- 4:32Like, they, they, they, you're saying like, they accept it.
- 4:34Like they're just like, oh, OK. Coddle it.
- 4:36Coddle it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 4:38Because, you know, when you come to Christ, you are a new
- 4:41creature, right? Yeah.
- 4:42So that means you're going to unlearn a lot of things.
- 4:45Basically everything. Pretty much, yeah.
- 4:47Yeah, but to them, repentance, that change of mind is the the
- 4:50change of mind is now they they believe they that's what they
- 4:53consider the change is that you now believe, right.
- 4:56But that's not necessarily the case.
- 4:58Yeah, by repenting also means changing your mind away from the
- 5:02things that you used to do before.
- 5:04Right, right. Like in all 5 senses, right?
- 5:06Yeah, yeah. That in the world used to mess
- 5:08you up mentally, physically, emotionally in every way.
- 5:12You now have to unlearn it and learn another way, correct.
- 5:15If someone who has been addicted to, for example, sex or has been
- 5:19fornicating and for them and that's normal, that that will
- 5:23they start to learn that that's not normal.
- 5:25Why is that not normal and why does God see this way?
- 5:29Yeah, exactly. You start unlearning.
- 5:30Exactly. Yeah, absolutely.
- 5:31So like, that's what the episode was about last week.
- 5:35The the sin scratching at the door.
- 5:36Yeah. And can't having to rule over it
- 5:39and what that means describing what that that middle part of it
- 5:44when when you're entice by what does it feel?
- 5:47Yeah. And then learning it would would
- 5:51otherwise mean opening the door every time.
- 5:52Exactly because learning is you start practicing it.
- 5:56So either you practice the truth, or you practice on
- 5:59righteousness. Based on what John says exactly
- 6:03so by that like opening the door constantly, constantly,
- 6:06constantly, you're just learning something new where the when
- 6:10you're getting ticed that nor feels normal.
- 6:13It's OK, it's OK, right, right. It's the norm, right.
- 6:18And we do live in a time where everything is sexualized.
- 6:23That's true, yeah. Commercials, ads.
- 6:28It could be a Netflix show, movie, anything.
- 6:32Yeah, even even if you just go to a restaurant or just go walk
- 6:36in public, it's like people are walking like very like, how do I
- 6:44say prerogative? I can't even say that.
- 6:45Word. No, no, that's right.
- 6:47Yeah, yeah. It's like, I'm like, whoa.
- 6:48I'm like, dude, all right, chill out.
- 6:51Yeah. And also, I wouldn't say old
- 6:55churches, but churches, men and women.
- 6:58I'm not going to just say women too.
- 7:00Men and women, they. Absolutely present themselves
- 7:02very prerogative where you know you're going to be taking
- 7:06people's attention away, right? Does that mean that a whole
- 7:09world they should have self-control?
- 7:12That's not the case, right? If why would you cause your
- 7:16brother and sisters to stumble? Exactly.
- 7:19Exactly. Do you know what I mean?
- 7:20Like it's logic, it's common sense.
- 7:22We're not. We're not dumb.
- 7:24We know what we're. Doing exactly, you know.
- 7:27Yeah, so there's a lot of things, but it seems like it's
- 7:31sad to say, but a lot of like Christians, like you said, we're
- 7:36we come to Christ, you know, and he, he guides us, the Holy
- 7:40Spirit guides us so we can unlearn, yes, all that what is
- 7:44in the world. But it seems like that the
- 7:46churches are starting to coddle the things of the world.
- 7:48If if anything, they're being like, oh, you were taught that
- 7:51in the world. OK, let's see how we can teach
- 7:54like leave that teaching there, but make it like some just put
- 7:56like a sticker over it so we can like make it positive.
- 8:00Doesn't work that way. It's either you give your
- 8:02obedience to God or to the world to sin or to, you know, to your
- 8:08spirit you know. And another thing too, when you
- 8:12come to Christ, you're no longer a Sinner, right?
- 8:15So that's true, right? Yeah.
- 8:19Yeah. But that doesn't mean sin is
- 8:22exempt from you. Exactly.
- 8:24You're just no longer a Sinner exactly because you and I are
- 8:26following God, your obedience system through Christ.
- 8:28Yeah. You can also find ask for
- 8:30forgiveness. Amen.
- 8:31You're no longer that what you are of sin.
- 8:34That's Sinner. Yeah, exactly.
- 8:36You are a child. Of exactly God, and then you
- 8:38become a slave to righteousness. Exactly.
- 8:42And so in order to understand those things or for wisdom to
- 8:45guide you, you have to unlearn certain things.
- 8:47For example, if like, like I just said, I use that example of
- 8:50fornication or addicted to that, right?
- 8:52Or now to drugs, to alcohol, to money, to materialism.
- 8:56Yeah. All these things that you've
- 8:59learned in the secular world. Right.
- 9:00Right. That there's certain aspects of
- 9:02it where you have to learn in order to survive and bring food
- 9:04to the table. That's true in regards to having
- 9:08a career or a job, right to feed your family.
- 9:14But then there's then you, you have to at some point draw the
- 9:19line, whether if you're a business owner or an employee
- 9:22where you say, well, this is enough.
- 9:24Right. Yeah, yeah.
- 9:25But then you want more and you want more and you want more and
- 9:27you want more, and it's never satisfied.
- 9:29And you need to own this and you need to be a billionaire.
- 9:31You need to do all of this. Yeah.
- 9:33That's great and all, but then when you find yourself with God,
- 9:36then how do you unlearn all that exactly where then all of a
- 9:39sudden it now becomes an instinct to you?
- 9:40Now you have to unlearn not what is an instinct to you.
- 9:43Right, right. Yeah, basically what you're
- 9:46saying is like that way you've learned you depend on it.
- 9:49So you dependent on on that so much that like you start
- 9:54neglecting God, right? That's what you're saying,
- 9:56right? What do you mean?
- 9:57Like like, because you've learned, like for example, you
- 10:01know, Scripture does teach about like you either practice
- 10:04righteousness or unrighteousness.
- 10:06And let's say you start like learning a system and you become
- 10:12dependent on that system. Is it like you're saying like
- 10:15that? Well, that's another aspect.
- 10:17I'm talking about someone who is from the world coming to God,
- 10:21trying to unlearn. Right.
- 10:22Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's one aspect.
- 10:25And and they're learning wisdom to guide them to unlearn it.
- 10:28But it's so hard because they've been used to this certain way in
- 10:31the secular world. But then we have a believer,
- 10:34right? And then what we're talking
- 10:35about is just these things. Someone who is an unbeliever now
- 10:38becomes a believer and has to unlearn all these little or the
- 10:42not little, all these bad habits of sinful acts that keeps them,
- 10:47their allegiance to sin. But in this case, the point
- 10:50you're saying a believer, right? Then they comment, they learn,
- 10:53they let wisdom guide them. And to a certain point, they're
- 10:55like, yeah, we got this, Amen, glory to God.
- 10:59But then they keep going and going and now they're almost
- 11:02just like depending on the church, which there's nothing
- 11:07wrong with that. One more, one more time.
- 11:08I wanted to clarify that there's nothing wrong with that.
- 11:11With church. The church, yeah, there's
- 11:13nothing wrong with that. But if you make it all of that
- 11:18in order right to to be suffice before God, that's.
- 11:23Yeah, that's not. No, it's true.
- 11:25That's not it either. Yeah, yeah.
- 11:27Dude. So then when someone then
- 11:29realizes that, then they have to unlearn certain aspects and
- 11:32systematical things that the church has set them up to follow
- 11:36and be depended on. Once again, not a bad thing, but
- 11:41when you don't depend on God, right, that's a problem.
- 11:44Now, I'm not saying to disobey your leaders, disobey your
- 11:46passage, no, be obedient in church, right?
- 11:49And all of that and whatever 'cause you're in, But also
- 11:53remember too that they're men, right?
- 11:57Your, your, your eyes should be on God.
- 11:59Exactly. But that's one aspect of
- 12:01unlearning things within. What I'm saying is someone who
- 12:04comes from the world, right, who used to, you know, used to do
- 12:10music, go to clubs, that was normal to them.
- 12:13You know, sexual relationships, normal, right?
- 12:16Drugs normal. A lot of the things normal,
- 12:18which that's one of the most common ones, but there's other
- 12:20ones, right? Yeah, maybe I could say toxic
- 12:26relationships, hypocrisy, gossiping, so many other things,
- 12:30right? Theory stealing, right?
- 12:34There's so many different things that to the world is normal.
- 12:37Yeah, absolutely right. So then when you come to Christ
- 12:40and you start to unlearn things that especially if there's
- 12:42certain things that you were addicted to, you have to.
- 12:44Unlearn that. Yeah, you have to.
- 12:47Yeah. And what helps you unlearn that?
- 12:51The wisdom of God. The Holy Spirit, Yeah.
- 12:53That guides you and directs you. Absolutely.
- 12:56To the, to the to the proper way of learning.
- 12:59Yeah, no, it is true, you know, and also for a lot of Christians
- 13:04to be careful with science. You know, I, I do like science.
- 13:08I think science is very interesting.
- 13:10It, it points to God a lot. But sometimes you want to
- 13:14involve science too much into the the supernatural.
- 13:16Sometimes with the supernatural things, they can't be really
- 13:19explained through science. For example, like I know that
- 13:25like we have so much information about our bodies now that we try
- 13:30to involve it with our spiritual life, right?
- 13:32Don't confuse the physical with the spiritual.
- 13:34You know what I mean? Because let's say like you start
- 13:36depending on the physical, then then you involve the spiritual
- 13:41things. You are going to confuse like
- 13:43what is spiritual with physical and what is physical with
- 13:46spiritual things. Can you describe that a little
- 13:49bit? Like I'll give you an, I'll give
- 13:50you an example. For the audience.
- 13:53Yeah, I'll give you an example. And and for me.
- 13:57Yeah, I'll give you, I'll give you an example, all right?
- 14:01This is just a, a simple example I can think of right now, like
- 14:05sex. Sex, right?
- 14:07Right, right. All right.
- 14:09Sex, you know, is, is a gift from God.
- 14:13You know, we were used so we can, you know, like be one with,
- 14:16with our, you know, with the female, like, yeah, with the
- 14:19partner, with the partner we get married to, you know, recreate,
- 14:23you know, to make babies and to multiply, multiply.
- 14:26And, you know, at the same time, you're also connecting with that
- 14:28person, making love with that person at a spiritual level.
- 14:31At a spiritual level. Now we have so much technology
- 14:34now that we know like, for example, how like orgasms work
- 14:39so much more advanced now. The climax, the stimuli.
- 14:42The climax uh huh and and we know what spots to hit, you know
- 14:46what I mean? Like a guy now knows what spots
- 14:49to hit in a female and and then they start involving that with
- 14:53that spiritual sex. And but what if at the end of
- 14:56the day, like, let's say the man does orgasm, like, you know,
- 14:59like shoots his sperm into. The yeah, yeah, the the a man is
- 15:02able to pretty much like ejaculate.
- 15:06Yeah. Ejaculate.
- 15:07Yeah, yeah, yeah. And the woman, you know, she
- 15:10didn't have the orgasm experience.
- 15:13But nowadays, like since we have so much technology, we know
- 15:17where to hit, right? Sometimes, you know, a a
- 15:21Christian can involve that information into that sex and
- 15:25make it all about that, all about the satisfaction.
- 15:28Satisfy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:29When, when, when it it should be used like for the glory of God.
- 15:33That's you know. What I mean that is.
- 15:34True, so so stuff. Like that, you know what you're
- 15:36saying? I know you know what I'm saying.
- 15:37Yeah. So, so stuff like that can, can
- 15:39be mixed into spiritual things because sex is to me, it it is
- 15:43something spiritual when you're married.
- 15:46We've perverted it to a whole another level, but it seems like
- 15:51with so much science and everything, we're so focused on
- 15:54that when in God's eyes, it's like I'm giving you this gift to
- 15:59glorify me, but you were going to use it, but all of a sudden
- 16:03you're starting to use it for your own satisfaction.
- 16:05Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And then you start.
- 16:06To satisfy themselves and. Then you start depending on
- 16:09that. Yeah, yeah, I know what you
- 16:10mean. Yeah, so.
- 16:12Oddly enough to know a statistic right.
- 16:16So, so stuff like that, like it science is cool, very amazing,
- 16:21very beautiful. But it like there's some things
- 16:25bro, like with the spiritual things that can't be.
- 16:29It cannot be explained with sciences because we're too
- 16:31small. For it, Yeah, Yeah, I know what
- 16:35you mean. That's a that's a good one.
- 16:38That is a good one. Yeah, that's a good one.
- 16:42And so back to what you were saying about the physical and
- 16:44the and the spiritual, not not to mix them up.
- 16:47Right, right. Yeah, yeah.
- 16:48So like, so like that's, that was just like a brief example.
- 16:51I'm, I'm pretty sure there are many more, you know, oh, let's
- 16:56just say emotions, emotions, right, Like gospel music, you
- 17:02know, you know, rhythm can play a huge effect in our chemical,
- 17:07you know, the chemical, you know, in our brains, in our
- 17:09brains, you know, the chemicals in our brains.
- 17:11And we could start crying and all that and and then we confuse
- 17:17it with Ohio. That was the Holy Spirit making
- 17:18me cry. Are you sure about that?
- 17:21Pause the music play and stay in silence.
- 17:22Let's see if you start crying and dwelling in the presence of
- 17:26God. Let's see.
- 17:26Let's see if that's for real. Or was it the music that was
- 17:29making you entitled to cry? Yeah, you're enticed to cry.
- 17:32Enticed, enticed to cry. Yeah.
- 17:34You know, the moments I realize I'm like, this is the Holy
- 17:37Spirit is when it's a moment of like, that's like, there's no
- 17:40way I would cry right now. And I'm crying right now.
- 17:44I know this is the Holy Spirit because it's convicting me.
- 17:46Yeah, I know. What you mean?
- 17:47You know what I mean? And then there was one time this
- 17:50actually happened. Oh, by the way, shout out to
- 17:54Angelica. Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 17:56And and her husband. Yeah, they got baptized.
- 17:58Welcome to the family. It's one, it's one of you to
- 18:00give you guys a shout out. So, you know, I when I was
- 18:04watching people baptized, I'm like, damn, this is beautiful,
- 18:06man. This is awesome.
- 18:08And then they were playing like, you know, some Christian worship
- 18:11music in the background. And all of a sudden, yeah, I
- 18:13started getting so emotional. Like so emotional to the point
- 18:16where like, yo, am I gonna tear right now, bro?
- 18:19Am I going to tear? I'm like, I'm like, Nah, Nah,
- 18:21don't let your heart deceive you, bro.
- 18:23I'm like, this is maybe it's just the music playing.
- 18:25But you know, obviously baptism is a sacred thing, a very sacred
- 18:28thing, very beautiful thing. And I'm so happy for them that
- 18:30they got baptized, Right? Right.
- 18:32But the music was playing in the back and I was watching that.
- 18:35And then the music paused for a second and the emotion went
- 18:39away. The, the emotion that I felt
- 18:41went away. So I was like, ah, so it was the
- 18:42music, even though I was so joyful that they got baptized.
- 18:47But like, you know, like the, the part of getting so emotional
- 18:50to the point of tearing. I'm like, so how's the music?
- 18:52So people can easily confuse that with something spiritual,
- 18:56like the physical with the spiritual.
- 18:59But to be honest, it was just the music that was making me
- 19:01emotional. Right, right, right.
- 19:02You know what I mean? The Holy Spirit, like the times
- 19:04that it's, it's like, you know, I felt.
- 19:06It So what you're saying is when someone who's an unbeliever
- 19:10believer or a believer who starts to read Scripture more
- 19:14and starts to see certain things in church that well, they seem
- 19:17not to really do too much good, but not that they're bad, right?
- 19:21But they set you up to just keep you there, right, Right.
- 19:24You're saying that when they learn not to mix Yeah, physical
- 19:28with the spiritual? Yeah.
- 19:29Yeah. Be very intentional.
- 19:30Be very you know what's physical and know.
- 19:32What's, you know, what's spiritual?
- 19:34So I've actually, that's one thing I unlearned, you know, I
- 19:38used to, I used to like kind of like get very emotional with
- 19:41this, with gospel music. But then I unlearned.
- 19:44I'm just like, dude, it just could be the rhythm of the
- 19:46music. It's I don't think it's the
- 19:48holy. I think it's just the rhythm,
- 19:50you know, and then I've learned when it is the Holy Spirit
- 19:53because, yeah, I feel this conviction.
- 19:54I'm like, God, I'm so sorry. You are king.
- 19:57I'm not nothing, I'm just an unworthy servant.
- 20:00You know, those are the moments when I'm like, this is the Holy
- 20:02Spirit because I feel convicted. I feel like going on, you know,
- 20:05even more for God, right? So like, those are things also
- 20:09like where I, I've had to unlearn and as a new believer,
- 20:13be careful for the, for those things.
- 20:16Be careful, you know, do not confuse the physical with the
- 20:21spiritual things and the spiritual things with the
- 20:23physical things. You know, that can, that can be
- 20:26something where you start to adapt and in, in the future, if
- 20:30you get really close to God, you're going to have to unlearn
- 20:32that. And, and it's, it's going to be
- 20:34a journey and God is merciful. He will teach you that he's,
- 20:38you're his child. But it's better not to open
- 20:41doors if there's no need to open the door.
- 20:44You know what I mean, right. And I've heard Christian say
- 20:46like, oh, I've had, you know, I had to open this door to
- 20:50understand that, you know, I don't like that.
- 20:53I don't like that sin, that sin makes me feel bad.
- 20:55I'm like, then why'd you open the door in the 1st place now?
- 20:57Peter does talk about. It right he says now you've
- 21:00waged war you know like now there's going to be war there's
- 21:02going to be conflict it would have been better for you not to
- 21:03know than to know so now that you open that door you're going
- 21:07to have to unlearn it now it's better just to just trust God
- 21:11the. Consequence now has compounded.
- 21:13Exactly. Right when you didn't have to.
- 21:15Exactly. So it's just better not to know
- 21:20yeah, than to know yeah. So that's a good advice to
- 21:23unlearn, as you're unlearning to not confuse physical with the
- 21:27spiritual. Right, that's just one example,
- 21:28there's many. Examples, of course.
- 21:30Of course there's many. There's one that you were
- 21:32talking to me about a couple days ago, but I forgot.
- 21:36But that is true based on what you said also about.
- 21:38And that's probably going to be one of the most common things
- 21:41for a lot of unbelievers or certain certain believers within
- 21:45the unlearning the concept of of sex and yeah, and also to what
- 21:50it means with the alcohol beverage and drugs, because
- 21:53that's the most common thing that everybody's addicted to
- 21:56because again, everybody's chasing.
- 21:57Dope at me exactly. And those things, those things
- 22:00because of so much of that actual inevitably take you to
- 22:03feel that, you know, yeah, quote, UN quote depression,
- 22:06right? Right.
- 22:06Because you're so fixated in yourself.
- 22:08Yeah, yeah, absolutely. The same is true too with
- 22:10fitness. You will also learn, unlearn
- 22:12that. I had to.
- 22:15That was one of my back in 2000 and when I was like 280 lbs and
- 22:21my brother and another friend of mine decided to help me and I
- 22:24started running, running, running.
- 22:25I lost too much weight where I kind of looked kind of sick
- 22:28right there. You have run, but you got to
- 22:29start lifting, you know, And I started lifting and that was
- 22:32that was it. Right, right.
- 22:34I would lift like twice a day while working and then going to
- 22:37school. Wow.
- 22:39So in 2020, when I had cancer, that's when I had to unlearn.
- 22:44It's almost like God did that for me, right?
- 22:47Right. You are not going to learn it,
- 22:48brother. I will do it for you.
- 22:51Yeah, man. Your day.
- 22:54I'm not saying to be unhealthy. Yeah, yeah, no.
- 22:57You need to take everybody so that you can function for the
- 22:59Kingdom of God. Absolutely, Absolutely.
- 23:01In his business, 100%, but I would also want everybody to
- 23:07know that if if you think that the ancient people were cut like
- 23:10that all the time, probably not. They're definitely a lot
- 23:13healthier, definitely a lot slimmer, but not like they're in
- 23:175% body fat. Yeah, not true.
- 23:19So. That was a thing for me, right
- 23:21as well. There's other things too as well
- 23:24that you go like. For me, the music, I had to
- 23:27unlearn a couple things that that's just not it.
- 23:31Right, exactly. You know what I mean?
- 23:33No. And you know, you know who's a
- 23:34good example of someone who had to unlearn?
- 23:37Well, there's actually a few, but like I can think of right
- 23:39now as Paul. I mean, Paul was like a Pharisee
- 23:42right in the beginning. He was killing Christians.
- 23:45Persecuting them. Persecuting them.
- 23:46He, he probably like acted like the Pharisees, you know, he did.
- 23:50He probably stoned people and all this stuff.
- 23:54And then once he encountered Christ, he had to unlearn so
- 23:57many things, so many things that he did as a Jew, as a Jew.
- 24:02And you know how hard that must have been, cuz yeah, he
- 24:06basically revolved around the law of the Jews and.
- 24:09Cuz it was. Cultural, just cultural.
- 24:11So he had to unlearn so many things.
- 24:13So he's a good example of what it meant to unlearn and just
- 24:18trust God in the Holy Spirit, you know?
- 24:20Exactly. If anything, all of that
- 24:22unlearning he did, he also use it to his advantage because then
- 24:25he was able to help people. Yeah, understand what the law
- 24:29meant. Exactly.
- 24:30The law of God and then the law of man.
- 24:32Exactly. And all those, the intricacies
- 24:34of of, of, of what's right and what's not.
- 24:36Yep. You know, so although yes, we
- 24:40unlearned these things, but that what you unlearned you will use
- 24:44to help others understand what's going on absolutely and how they
- 24:47can. Go about it.
- 24:49Absolutely. In the end, what guide, what
- 24:52should guide you through all of this is the wisdom.
- 24:54Amen. Wisdom guides you and it will
- 24:57direct you. And as you read Ecclesiastic or
- 25:00Proverbs, you would you would you start to read and you start
- 25:04to see that like Solomon and David treat wisdom like this, it
- 25:09presents like an entity like this thing.
- 25:12That guides them, right? That guides them.
- 25:13Yeah. You know, as we know, it is the
- 25:15Holy Spirit, right? And it guides you, convicts you,
- 25:19gives you and it gives you wisdom.
- 25:20What wisdom? Wisdom And that it tells you.
- 25:21And it helps you think. And this is where this is where
- 25:25it's cool. You already think logical.
- 25:28You can already think common sense, right?
- 25:30That's great. But then he then comes this and
- 25:33gives you wisdom where it gives it gives your logic clarity to a
- 25:38much different level exactly where it doesn't just stays on
- 25:41the physical, but it in this case it doesn't makes physical
- 25:44and spiritual. It connects both and you then
- 25:46understand the difference. Absolutely.
- 25:49You understand? Absolutely, I agree.
- 25:50So, yeah, so once again, a shout out to Angelica and her her
- 25:56husband. And, and this is a little bit of
- 25:59something we wanted to talk to you about.
- 26:02And it seems like we're going to be talking about this.
- 26:06Who knows, until when, what it means.
- 26:10We spoke about temptation, what it means to unlearn and this
- 26:15thing called lust, right? Yep.
- 26:19And what it makes us do and how it works.
- 26:22And hopefully people can have a better understanding and share
- 26:26with their brothers and sisters in Christ, share it with
- 26:28whomever. And we will close it with a
- 26:33prayer. Thank you, father, for this
- 26:37opportunity to speak about the process of, of, of changing our
- 26:43minds or that mindset that's changing towards you and, and
- 26:51allowing ourselves really to, to humble ourselves to, to hew the
- 26:55Holy Spirit to attend to his conviction in our lives and,
- 26:59and, and apply it in our lives so that our obedience to you is,
- 27:06is always so tighter every time towards you.
- 27:12And we thank you for this. And we hope that in the future
- 27:16many can learn and hear all of these moments of wisdom that
- 27:21you've given us. And you're so perfect.
- 27:24You're beyond perfection and always forgive us and then and
- 27:29help us forgive. Forgive those who you know who
- 27:34has done us wrong and help us love our enemy as well, which is
- 27:37all our hard things to do. But throughout it all that you
- 27:42name be glorified because your will will be done in heaven like
- 27:45it is on earth. And we thank you for this.
- 27:47Amen. Till the next time guys.
