- 1:58and collectively. His name is, well, his last name
- 2:02is Ward and we know a couple of Wards, but this guy has been
- 2:05known as a free safety in the NFL.
- 2:08We are now talking to former 8 year NFL safety play for the
- 2:12Browns, the Broncos and the Buccaneers from 2010 to 2017,
- 2:17the one and only TJ Ward. TJ, what's up, buddy?
- 2:21What's going on? What's going on?
- 2:22How's everything? Man, you look better than I do.
- 2:25Man. I've been dealing with sleep
- 2:27apnea. I had to go on a cruise.
- 2:30I was dropping deuces, I was clogging up toilets.
- 2:33I mean, it hasn't been very, very good for me.
- 2:36Everybody thought, hey, you go to Bermuda, you get to go away.
- 2:39And I got, I went away and almost got arrested.
- 2:41So that's a whole nother story. How are you, man?
- 2:43You, you've been away from football.
- 2:45You've been away from football for what is it now, 6-7 years
- 2:49now? It's been a while.
- 2:51What have you been doing? What have you been doing since
- 2:53football has been done for you? Well, First off, I have a four
- 2:58year old, so that's mainly I got a four year old.
- 3:01So I'm chasing him around and he's getting into activities
- 3:05now. So he just dashed soccer camp
- 3:07last week getting in some T-ball and flag football.
- 3:11So really with him. And then business wise, I
- 3:15started the agency NIL and professional representation for
- 3:21NFL and NBA. So that company is called Player
- 3:24Above Sports and my nonprofit So War Boy Project.
- 3:29Those three things keep me busy. So you're an agent, That's what
- 3:32you do, that's. Your no, I'm not an agent.
- 3:34No, I'm not an agent. I'm the CEO founder.
- 3:37I got it and I have agents that are certified well.
- 3:41That's good. I mean, you, you could be
- 3:43certified. We, I mean, Nathan's a certified
- 3:46agent if he really wants to be. I mean, would you want to trust
- 3:51Nathan? Could you imagine Nathan and I
- 3:53love Nathan. Nathan is great.
- 3:55He's our PR guy, great personality, such a nice kid.
- 3:58Could you imagine Nathan go to a high school football game and he
- 4:01starts to talk about the PS and QS or the XS and OS when it
- 4:05comes to football? And if you're you're scouting a
- 4:08running back or a quarterback back or even a defensive
- 4:11lineman, Could you imagine Nathan TJ going going to a high
- 4:15school football game and trying to recruit one of those guys?
- 4:18Yeah, man, no doubt. Really.
- 4:20You just not be yourself, man, Be yourself.
- 4:22Know the game and you know, it's hard work, but you know, I'm
- 4:27determined and it's not easy. Hasn't been easy and I don't
- 4:30ever see it being easy. But it's so many things that's
- 4:33changing in the game and in the atmosphere of NIL and college
- 4:37and professional. You know, the NBA draft was
- 4:40yesterday. That was crazy.
- 4:42So there's so much going on in the industry, but, you know, you
- 4:45just got to keep hold and, you know, keep striving.
- 4:47But you could still find NBA players their second rounds
- 4:50tonight and who knows, you could find another Yokich so.
- 4:53Yeah, not this draft, not this draft, but you know, hopefully
- 4:56you see me in the green room. So, man, that's the goal.
- 4:59That's the goal. I'm trying to be the draft night
- 5:01all. Right.
- 5:02So why don't we go through your career and, and the Browns are
- 5:05an organization that have been a laughing stock for many, many
- 5:08years, OK. They have a quarterback right
- 5:11now named Deshaun Watson. He likes to go to parlors and
- 5:16hang out with a lot of interesting people while he's
- 5:19doing it. He might be very good friends
- 5:21with Robert Kraft. I don't want to get into that.
- 5:24I want to get into your career and your thoughts of the
- 5:27Cleveland Browns, the organization in the fans.
- 5:29What was it like playing in Cleveland?
- 5:33It was cold. No man, it was you know it was
- 5:37miserable losing no, but the fans are so great.
- 5:41They keep you motivated and you know, they always there
- 5:44cheering, but man, it the losing part just sucks, man.
- 5:46And the check the turnover coaches every new coaches every
- 5:50year, new GM. You know, it's it's the
- 5:52instability is the biggest problem I feel in Cleveland,
- 5:55right. You know, you got to have some
- 5:56stability and you got to, you know, pick something and ride it
- 5:59out for a little bit and see what happens.
- 6:01But you know, I don't think really anyone there has had a
- 6:07great a long enough tenure to to do anything.
- 6:10So you play against a lot of good players in that AFC North
- 6:13that was loaded at the time. They had three playoff teams, I
- 6:15believe like two straight years, something like that.
- 6:17What were some of the best battles you had, both
- 6:18physicality wise and even like any individual players in that
- 6:21division? Oh, man, you like you say that
- 6:24was the peak of that division. So no, I came in as a rookie
- 6:27right into the fire. I'm like, man, we got the
- 6:30Ravens, we got the Steelers, the Bengals.
- 6:32And at their time, you know, they were loaded.
- 6:34But it was fun, man. It was fun.
- 6:38One week you, you see over there, you got Ray Lewis and Ed
- 6:41Reed and, you know, Flack on them, Ray Rice and everybody
- 6:44else. And next week you got Pittsburgh
- 6:46with Roethlisberger and Troy. And so it was like in your
- 6:50within your division almost, you know, being in all of the Pro
- 6:53Bowl every week. But no, it was tough.
- 6:55It was tough. We got we got ours though, I'm
- 6:57not gonna lie. We got ours against Pittsburgh a
- 6:59little bit and we definitely got ours against Cincinnati and
- 7:02Baltimore. But it was everyone else that we
- 7:04couldn't, we couldn't seem to get them WS against, but
- 7:08definitely black and blue division.
- 7:11What ATJ like you know, I, I played for four teams in my
- 7:14career. What a what did you find the
- 7:17hardest thing like the adjustment from team to team
- 7:20like schematically just clubhouse stuff and or just
- 7:23trying to figure out like where do I fit in and and what role do
- 7:27I play? Oh, I think schematically you,
- 7:31you hit it on the head. I tell people all the time, like
- 7:33every division is almost like college, a division in college
- 7:37football, like the style of of football is different.
- 7:39So coming from the AFC North, you know how we just mentioned
- 7:43it was black and blue division, a lot of you know, right in your
- 7:46face straight up straight at you going to play action and you
- 7:49know, it's it's heavy ball. When I got to Denver, the AFC
- 7:53West, it was West Coast, more style, wide open, a lot of
- 7:57motion shifting and pre snap things where wasn't that much in
- 8:00the AFC North. You know, it was a little
- 8:03faster, you know, smaller backs and wide receivers, but you
- 8:07know, it was an adjustment. It definitely was an adjustment
- 8:10and I did, I carried that weight from the AFC North to the AFC
- 8:14West and I realized I had to cut a couple pounds because it's a
- 8:18little bit faster, Man, I'm like what?
- 8:20I can't get I couldn't transition the same with that
- 8:22weight on. As everybody knows, we are
- 8:25talking to 8 year former vet from the NFL, safety TJ Ward,
- 8:31play for the Browns, the Broncos, the Buccaneers.
- 8:33TJ, obviously you played with a lot of great safeties and you
- 8:37mentioned Palamalu and then you have Ed Reed, 2 Hall of Farmers,
- 8:41two of the greatest safeties of all time.
- 8:43When you look at the game and how it's transitioned from the
- 8:46time that you played to now, what safety that you have
- 8:50watched over the last couple of years has really stood out to
- 8:53you from the best from all the other ones.
- 8:59Who who the best out of all of I wouldn't say there's a best out
- 9:07of all. I can't.
- 9:08I can't say that there's one that just peaks overall in, but
- 9:13I definitely like Derwin James. He's been a guy that I like to
- 9:16watch. Justin Simmons, my dog in
- 9:18Denver. He's had a great career and it's
- 9:20been balling. Kenny recently or the last
- 9:25couple years in Green Bay, you know he's been doing this thing.
- 9:30There's a few guys out there. I like two guys.
- 9:32You mentioned you haven't mentioned yet Bates, who was
- 9:35done wonders. I was I was going to get to
- 9:37base. That was my next guy.
- 9:38Bass is he's he's had a. And Kyle Hamilton, who has been
- 9:43fantastic over there with the Baltimore Ravens, another safety
- 9:47that they they find them. They're an organization that
- 9:51knows how to find Starks. Yeah, Starks is another one
- 9:55that's going to be a pretty good player too.
- 9:56So I, I I think that's all. I just wanted to know what you
- 9:59thought the safety position from when you were playing and now
- 10:03from the top safeties, young safeties that are developing
- 10:05right now in the NFL, who you think are are the next and up
- 10:09and coming superstars in the NFL?
- 10:12Yeah, yeah, those, those handful of guys, I'd say hit him pretty
- 10:15hard. You know, Hitman still doing
- 10:17this thing out there in Minnesota for the Ogs.
- 10:21So you played with a very loaded secondary in Denver, probably
- 10:23the best in my time watching football, threesome of corners
- 10:26that they've had that they had with Harris to leave and Bradley
- 10:29Roby. And then you played alongside
- 10:30another good one and Darian Stewart in that, in that Wade
- 10:33Phillips defense for a while. So what was it like with playing
- 10:36with those guys on that defense? Man, it was a pleasure.
- 10:40Like it was a pleasure going out there every day competing with
- 10:43those guys. It made ball easy.
- 10:45You know, you really just had to.
- 10:47A lot of times when I was in Cleveland, I feel like I had to
- 10:50make up, you know, for other players or I had to do more than
- 10:55I was asked to do. But in Denver, you knew that
- 10:58that wasn't needed. Just do your job and we'll be
- 11:00all right. And sometimes, see, I couldn't
- 11:04even get to do my job before the play was made.
- 11:07So having those guys out there with the same mindset, saying
- 11:09competitiveness, the brotherhood off the field, coming to work
- 11:13was easy. What do you think?
- 11:15Like, obviously you're not that far to move from the game, but
- 11:18games evolve, they change like and obviously rules have
- 11:21changed. They're a little different than
- 11:22than when you started. Is there some that you like and
- 11:25there's some that you dislike? And if there are, what would you
- 11:28change about them? Man, of course, you know, I, I
- 11:30don't like some of the personal fail penalties for late hits or
- 11:35whatever those type of situations are with the
- 11:37quarterback sliding late. I think we're getting penalized
- 11:40too much for some things that, you know, are out of our
- 11:43control, which started when I was like on the back end of my
- 11:46career with targeting and such, but some rules that I do like.
- 11:57You know, I don't is there any rules as geared to us.
- 12:00I think they put the like the chop blocking rule that they
- 12:02took out on the offense. They're not allowed to crack
- 12:05back either, which is cool for for us to keep us safe.
- 12:10You know, that's about it. Oh, he's, he's got jokes.
- 12:18Ladies and gentlemen, we are talking.
- 12:20To former. Eight-year NFL safety TJ Ward
- 12:23TJ, you played for a Super Bowl championship team, the Denver
- 12:27Broncos. I remember that team.
- 12:29You've had a lot of Hall of farmers, two of them that are
- 12:33have been inducted to the Hall of Fame.
- 12:35What was it like playing for a Super Bowl team and what was it
- 12:39like playing with a guy like Peyton Manning a a superstar
- 12:41player at the tail end of his career, personality wise and
- 12:45just talent wise, What type of player was he?
- 12:49I'm going to tell you, I went to the Hall of Fame parties or
- 12:52ceremony two years in a row. I started to think I was going
- 12:55to go every year. I'm like, hey, this is cool.
- 12:59I'm at the Hall of Fame every year with what about teammates?
- 13:02But no, it was amazing, man. Having Peyton, you know,
- 13:06directing the ship, being the captain, dude, that was just
- 13:11such a fun team, right? We had so much fun on that team.
- 13:14Peyton, he's just one of the guys like everybody else.
- 13:18And I can really say so much more like, So what you see is
- 13:25what you get the same Peyton cast and all that you see on TV.
- 13:29That's what we were dealing with in the locker room, you know, So
- 13:33other than the business aspect, it was a lot of fun was.
- 13:35He your favorite teammate? What on that team?
- 13:38Who was your favorite teammate? I mean, there was a lot.
- 13:41Of my favorite teammate is my dog a key man.
- 13:44That's that's my favorite teammate.
- 13:46That was my dog on the score. We all ran together.
- 13:50We were pretty tight. Von Chris Stew D Ware Roby, Kate
- 13:56Kayvon No, we rolled thick, man. We rolled deep, and that's why
- 14:01we were so tight. You.
- 14:02Could argue you had. Knighting on that team.
- 14:03He was a fun one too as a defensive tackle.
- 14:05T Knight was on there when I first got there.
- 14:07He wasn't on the Super Bowl team, but yeah, he still he he
- 14:10was. T Knight was the one that
- 14:11welcomed me to Denver. That's my boy, man.
- 14:14Your secondary was unbelievable. That was probably one of the top
- 14:182 secondaries in all of football if I'm not mistaken.
- 14:21Talib, wasn't he traded to the Broncos?
- 14:23Yeah. I forgot he was trader free
- 14:26agent. We all started three agent
- 14:28dudes. I'm always bucks trading to the
- 14:30Patriots. That's what it was the.
- 14:31Patriots let him go. That's what it was because
- 14:33Talib, we bounced to like 3 teams in less than four years
- 14:37and and maybe because of his personality, but he has an
- 14:40interesting personality even now.
- 14:42I don't know him personally, but I watch all the things that he
- 14:45posts up on social media. He's got a unique, unique
- 14:49personality, Talib so. Man, look, that's what you
- 14:52should have been down there on the locker room and the
- 14:54sideline. You talk about personalities
- 14:56between Key Von, me, Chris Harris, Oh my God, Peyton, you
- 15:03know, Emmanuel Sanders, CJ Anderson, Like it's just full.
- 15:09The whole team is just full of pranksters, jokesters and shit,
- 15:14but dogs at the same time. We're not playing no games.
- 15:17CJ Anderson was a very good playoff running back, too.
- 15:20I remember I get up a Giants fan.
- 15:21I remember when he was with the Rams and he played against the
- 15:24Cowboys at the playoffs. And the whole.
- 15:26Todd Gurley saga where he was hurt and then was he really
- 15:29hurt? And then CJ Anderson goes for
- 15:30like 175 yards against them. And I'm in the Super Bowl, too,
- 15:34against the Carolina defense. Yes, CJ be Totem.
- 15:40You see that Patriots game in that.
- 15:43It was the regular season game where we won, I think.
- 15:46I don't know if we went to overtime.
- 15:47It was close, but it was snowing.
- 15:48CJ had a long run for the game so.
- 15:53TJ, do you think like you're talking about the camaraderie
- 15:55and everything and and winning? Do you?
- 15:58How big of a part do you think that plays like knowing he's got
- 16:02my sticks, he's got my back. You know, he's going to ride
- 16:05with me, he's going to die with me and he and he's going to give
- 16:07it everything I got. Just like I'm how?
- 16:09Because there there's obviously X's and O's of it.
- 16:11But when you get to that point, I mean, you're grinding like
- 16:15you're you're doing everything to to feel because we ain't 100%
- 16:19when we get to that point. We're trying to get to where we
- 16:21can. But where do you think that
- 16:23camaraderie and like knowing each other has their back plays
- 16:26a part on getting to next week to next week?
- 16:28Because y'all is different. Like it's either you, you win or
- 16:32you lose and go home. Yeah, for sure at that point, I
- 16:35think that plays a big part in what we do.
- 16:37But we have a chance. Y'all don't have a chance.
- 16:39So how does how does that play a part?
- 16:42And do you think it plays a bigger part than people realize?
- 16:45I'll probably say it's like the third most important behind.
- 16:48You got to have the talent out there first.
- 16:50You got to be able to have the ability and the players out
- 16:52there and you got to have a decent scheme.
- 16:54Like you got to be decent. You don't have to be the
- 16:56greatest, but if you got the talent, the decent scheme, then
- 16:59you'll be all right. And then next I say is the
- 17:01camaraderie, the cohesion and how you guys get down together.
- 17:05And those three things make championships get Super Bowls.
- 17:12TJ, you, we, we talk about quarterbacks.
- 17:14You played against some of the greatest quarterbacks, Drew
- 17:16Brees, Peyton Manning, Y'alls, Tom Brady, great great quarter,
- 17:20Ben Roethlisberger. You played against a lot of
- 17:22these top quarterbacks. When you look at the
- 17:25quarterbacks now and the athletic ability that some of
- 17:28them have, Lamar Jackson, you see Josh Allen.
- 17:31These guys are like beasts and and Josh Allen's like 6 foot
- 17:35six, £250 and he runs through people like a full back.
- 17:40When you look at the game then and you look at now, if you were
- 17:43playing now, how would you stop? How would you defend those type
- 17:48of guys like Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen and all these mobile
- 17:52quarterbacks that are playing today?
- 17:55Oh man, I think I mean we've had our fair share ourselves and
- 18:01Mike Vick ain't no slouch to chase around.
- 18:05But you know, I I would not like to do that every week is is
- 18:10chase somebody around out the pocket and when we blitz in and
- 18:14he find that somebody is not my favorite thing to do that would
- 18:17like that was my least favorite when I played his quarterbacks
- 18:21like Russell Wilson, Mike Vick, who when the play breaks down,
- 18:27finds extra times or scrambles and gets the first down.
- 18:29Man, I just I'd rather have somebody that sit in the pocket
- 18:32and then when it breaks down, he had to throw it away or
- 18:35something. And if he finds a guy and he's
- 18:37on time with his throat, but you know, me being usually the spy
- 18:41or somebody, I got to come out to the zone and chase the
- 18:43quarterback. It's not fun.
- 18:45Watching the game right now, who do you think is the best
- 18:48quarterback in the NFL? The best quarterback right now
- 18:53in the NFL, It's still Patty, man.
- 18:57It's Pat. Yeah.
- 18:59I don't know why I thought that I was there being so dramatized
- 19:02with you feel like I got to take something off the No, It's Pat.
- 19:07Yeah, it's definitely Pat for sure.
- 19:09Why? Why do you think he's the best?
- 19:13I think he just has a a dab of everything, man.
- 19:17He he has the scrambling ability.
- 19:19He can run. I wouldn't even say he has the
- 19:23best arm or anything like that. He just seems to make the plays
- 19:28in in the best moments. So his offense is definitely
- 19:32favors him. I think he, Andy Reid is a guru
- 19:35at what he does. But that tandem right now,
- 19:39whether you want to call it Randy's or whatever it is, it's
- 19:42Pat. But, you know, I think Lamar is
- 19:45a very close second, but overall, it's Pat.
- 19:48So shifting, I know you mentioned you were we have an
- 19:50agency shifting to the college football.
- 19:52The big NIL ruling that just got passed with the Now the schools
- 19:55can actually directly pay the players within a.
- 19:57Damn it, Speedy. What are your thoughts to that
- 20:00ruling and how do you think it'll impact college football,
- 20:02college sports? I'm interested.
- 20:08I can't say I don't like it anytime you're they're allowing
- 20:11the players to get paid, but I just, we have to really see how
- 20:15that's going to be formatted and what it negates and what it
- 20:21allows, right? There's always some loopholes
- 20:23when you see the acceptance of something, there's always
- 20:26something in fine print. So we got to see what's going on
- 20:29with that fine print. But right now it sounds good.
- 20:33Well, that was going to be my question because I I got a son
- 20:36playing baseball in college. So I feel your pain on the 40s.
- 20:39School. We're school.
- 20:40He's at Hutch. OK, yeah, that's dope.
- 20:42That's Congrats. Be proud, man.
- 20:44Yeah. They just won the national
- 20:45championship this year. Junior college fire.
- 20:48Beat Iowa Western, but yeah, so I'm going to go along those
- 20:53lines though. So when you having what you
- 20:56have, like, how does you and your group stay on top of that
- 21:01and read between the lines to make sure obviously you put not
- 21:04only your company but your student athlete in the right
- 21:07situation to where nothing comes back Because you know, there are
- 21:11always loopholes, there's always the fine print.
- 21:13But as it's. Coming and, you know, I'm, I'm
- 21:15learning with this as well and, and seeing what my son can and
- 21:19can't do and and what terms are and obviously junior college a
- 21:23little bit different, but they're Division One junior
- 21:25college. So it's kind of in the same way,
- 21:28yeah. Yeah, yeah, I understand because
- 21:30my, but a, a family friend of mine is going, he just left high
- 21:35school and he's going to AJC for one year and doing that baseball
- 21:39route. So, but to answer your question,
- 21:42it's just being in open communication with the
- 21:44compliance of the schools and the I'm blanking on the name of
- 21:53the the NIL departments of the school.
- 21:57I forgot the collective, sorry, the collectives, that's that CTE
- 22:02kicking in. But yeah, just being over
- 22:07communication with them, just trying to stay up on the
- 22:09compliance department. And, and when you are in those
- 22:12negotiations and making sure that you have everything on the
- 22:15table and laid out before you're signing anything, before you're
- 22:19in agreement, anything that's very important because you can't
- 22:22backtrack and you see what's happening.
- 22:25Sometimes these kids aren't getting paid because you know
- 22:28they're signing these deals without having lawyers look at
- 22:30them or without having a team look at them that really knows
- 22:33the, the, the front and back end of what they're getting into.
- 22:37We are talking to former 8 year NFL safety TJ Ward, play for the
- 22:41Browns, the Broncos and the Buccaneers.
- 22:43TJ When you look at the safety position, you even look at the
- 22:46linebacker position and the running back position. 3
- 22:50positions that are not really respected the way they should be
- 22:53in the NFL. You look at the money and where
- 22:55it's divided into when it comes to the offensive lineman, the
- 22:59tackles, the corners, the number one corners, the quarterbacks.
- 23:03You look at these these three positions and I just think
- 23:06they're just not treated with the respect that they deserve.
- 23:10Why do you think the NFLGMS and executives don't respect those
- 23:15positions as much as the the other positions I just
- 23:18mentioned? That's a good question.
- 23:22I think it's more of the direction of where the game is
- 23:26going, right? When the game was really
- 23:28physical and you were allowed to, you know, hit and do all
- 23:32those things, then the linebackers were hided.
- 23:34Everybody's running back was highlighted like the days of,
- 23:38you know, early mad and where you had Priest Holmes, Jamal
- 23:42Lewis, like early 2000s, like the running back was him.
- 23:45It's because the game was so physical.
- 23:47The linebackers were they they was were the guys, the DNS,
- 23:50they're still the guys because they get after the quarterback.
- 23:53But with it being such a passing league now and less physical
- 23:56then you know who's who's getting the ball, the receivers,
- 23:59who has to stop the pass, the corners.
- 24:01So they're highlighted. You know, it's like the NBA
- 24:04almost going to more that European less physical style.
- 24:07Everything is less physical. Don't ask me why, but it is.
- 24:11And that's what they're catering to and that's what who they're
- 24:14marketing. Our executive producer wants us
- 24:16to ask you this question. OK, So I'm going to ask it for
- 24:19you. So and and we argue this all the
- 24:21time. You played against these
- 24:23quarterbacks. There's three quarterbacks, Ben
- 24:25Roethlisberger, Eli Manning and Philip Rivers.
- 24:28All three of them, I think are Hall of Farmers when you look at
- 24:31what Philip Rivers did say. What?
- 24:34I think all three of them are Hall of Farmers.
- 24:36I think all three of them are Hall of Farmers statistics,
- 24:39everything, everything they've done in the NFL and where they
- 24:42came from. And and I know a lot of people
- 24:44look at Phillip Rivers. Well, he never won a
- 24:45championship. Dan Marino never won a
- 24:47championship. There are a lot of quarterbacks
- 24:49that never won a championship. Obviously the positions that
- 24:52they were in and Phillip Rivers best chance to win a Super Bowl.
- 24:55He was playing on a torn ACL. So and it was pretty amazing
- 24:59what he did. I've argued this.
- 25:01I had Steve White on this show and Steve Weich told me Philip
- 25:06Rivers is not a Hall of Famer. And I went at him and then he
- 25:09says Matthew Stafford is a is a better player to argue to go to
- 25:13the Hall of Fame. And I said, how could you say
- 25:14that when you look at Philip Rivers numbers and compare it to
- 25:17Matthew Stafford, it's not even comparable.
- 25:19OK. Your thoughts to these three
- 25:22quarterbacks in order, who do you think goes to the Hall of
- 25:25Fame, first, second and third and why?
- 25:30I don't think any of them go and I don't think any of them
- 25:33deserve to go. Keep it a book.
- 25:35But I say if anyone's to go, we'd go be Eli first, probably.
- 25:40He just has the he has the he has the brand, he has the name.
- 25:44He has the most of the Super Bowls.
- 25:46New York. He'd probably be the first to
- 25:50go. Then it'd be Big Ben and Phillip
- 25:52last. Interesting, Very interesting.
- 25:53I was going to. Ask who?
- 25:57The fish. Fish just come again here.
- 26:00I think he wants to interject all this.
- 26:01Way to go, TJ. That was get.
- 26:03Off get him off the right answer you.
- 26:05Know what? I'm just that's yeah.
- 26:08I mean, what do you guys think? I think I just think that Eli is
- 26:13closer. He may not have the numbers of
- 26:16his being or or or. Reverse.
- 26:22Is coming back the rivers, but. You guys beat the Chargers?
- 26:25Man the chips, the chips and the name.
- 26:29That's like you. Know you know it takes a team to
- 26:32win. Every quarterback gets a Super
- 26:35Bowl MVP. Stop this crowd.
- 26:37True. Yes, it most of the time.
- 26:40That's because the first time Ben Roethlisberger went to the
- 26:43Super Bowl, he was practically a rookie.
- 26:46And Hwy. was just like. Yes.
- 26:47And so I don't want to hear that when you look at a team
- 26:50football's Ultimate Team game, I am just looking at that.
- 26:54I look at. I don't feel just because you're
- 26:58one of the best quarterbacks in your organization that you
- 27:00deserve to go to the Hall of Fame.
- 27:04Drew Brees played for San Diego. Did he know?
- 27:06But not very long. Yeah, but.
- 27:08He's still, he's still playing with.
- 27:09But Drew Brees is a St. Drew.
- 27:11Everyone knows Drew Brees. Is he?
- 27:12Was drafted by San Diego. He's the same.
- 27:15Yeah, but he's the same for the. Brightest organization.
- 27:17And he got a Super Bowl. TJ, I got something.
- 27:21What? My team.
- 27:22Stop it. Hold on.
- 27:26Hold on, Hold on, Hold on, Hold on.
- 27:28When you look at Peyton Manning in that run, do you?
- 27:30You're going to tell me right now, Peyton Manning.
- 27:32Peyton Manning is the reason why you guys won that Super Bowl.
- 27:35I'm not saying he's the reason why we won, but he was a big
- 27:38part of why we won. I'm telling you that, hey.
- 27:43We all know PM was dealing with a lot of stuff that year, but
- 27:46let me tell you, at the end of them games when we needed them
- 27:50points, we was getting them points now.
- 27:53Now the rest of the game, I don't know, I'm going.
- 27:55To argue with you here. In the game we was getting them
- 27:58first. Of all, in the starting of the
- 28:00season, what really got you into player playoffs was Osweiler.
- 28:03If you remember that, I know you do.
- 28:05And then I thought. It came in and did his thing
- 28:07too. That's what's the beauty of it.
- 28:09Look, that's the beauty of our championship.
- 28:11Like people always say, oh, such and such got hurt that we would
- 28:16have won. We should have could have did
- 28:17this because they got hurt every week did get hurt.
- 28:20Everybody got hurt. I almost didn't even play in the
- 28:22Super Bowl. I got kicked out.
- 28:24Still got hurt in the AFC championship game.
- 28:26That's why if you look at it, grunt went crazy towards the end
- 28:29because we had we was down to no safeties.
- 28:31We had like the bottom of our bench on defense.
- 28:35So that's why that win is even better than people think.
- 28:37Like everybody got hurt. Like Sly was hurt, The D tackle
- 28:42man, everybody was hurt. He came into the Super Bowl
- 28:44ripping. Sly's been on a show and he's a
- 28:46great guy. Oh.
- 28:46Yeah, my God, Sly, man. He's been on a show.
- 28:49He and Sly got hurt on the same play versus the Patriots.
- 28:51Yeah, he actually mentioned that.
- 28:53He actually brought up the the injury that he had with you when
- 28:56he when you guys ran into each other.
- 28:58So he did mention it. I was like, I remember that.
- 29:01But I'm just telling you, going back to that and the argument
- 29:05over there, you say, well, yo, they won the chip.
- 29:08They won the chip. The reason why you won that
- 29:10championship was and that defensive line.
- 29:14That defensive line was unbelievable, unbelievable,
- 29:19unbelievable. And.
- 29:20The next year, you guys drafted another friend of our show, Adam
- 29:22Goat says. We met at the Super Bowl.
- 29:23Oh. Yeah, Big Adam, Big God.
- 29:26God's great dude too, man. Such a nice guy, man, really
- 29:29down there. But you know what?
- 29:33And who doesn't win with a good defense?
- 29:34You got to have a good defense to win the Super Bowl.
- 29:37Like you see the Eagles, that's why they won.
- 29:39They wouldn't like Hertz was out there airing the ball out.
- 29:43That defense was crazy. I.
- 29:45Mean you got at least have a good pass rush.
- 29:47For sure, for sure you got to. Always win if you got good D.
- 29:52Yeah, man, every. Way.
- 29:54Well, not even on the field. I always ask this because I'm an
- 29:56offensive and defensive line high school coach up by West
- 29:59Point area in New York. And I always, I always say like,
- 30:03I want to have the D line get there because then my corners
- 30:06don't have to cover for more than a couple of seconds and
- 30:09then they look good and they get to make the turnovers and then
- 30:13we win. You can't have a good secondary
- 30:15if you don't have at least one guy getting home that has to
- 30:18speed up that clock for that quarterback.
- 30:20Man, after you can feel. Tough always likes to talk about
- 30:24Philip Rivers completion percentage in this argument and
- 30:28I always like his. What?
- 30:29His completion percentage because you like to dink and
- 30:31dunk? Yeah, man.
- 30:32I'm going to tell you something about that.
- 30:33Him and that Gates man. Like that was my biggest thing
- 30:36with this Chargers like him and Gates would just sit there and
- 30:40do this. And you know, Gates is a wide
- 30:42bodied Hall of Famer. I couldn't get around him.
- 30:45He was so wide, but like down the field, you know, it was
- 30:48better. I could cut, but like the short
- 30:50little 3rd and I knew they was doing it third and four, they're
- 30:53going to run a pivot and just and I couldn't get around them.
- 30:56But I just think when we played them, Elise Phillip just threw
- 31:00too many interceptions. Like we knew he was getting
- 31:02coming home with something. You don't like Phil, All right,
- 31:05That's fine. It's it's OK.
- 31:06No. We don't like Phil.
- 31:08We don't. I knew we.
- 31:09Don't like Phil? I knew like I knew I.
- 31:12Knew it one of these days. Hey, no Phil love Phil, man.
- 31:15Actually we love Phil because Phil talks shit and as a thief,
- 31:18as a player, you love that from like quarterbacks and stuff.
- 31:21So really him and Chris would be chirping all the time.
- 31:24Him and Chris Harris, they would be at back and forth all day.
- 31:27They like they had like a four year romance.
- 31:32Now the real question did Phillip Rivers talk talk not a.
- 31:35Romance. It's a bromance.
- 31:37Did. Phillip Rivers talk more shit to
- 31:38the refs or the players. That's the real question.
- 31:43Man, that's that is a good question.
- 31:45I don't know. I don't know.
- 31:48It seems like he was always getting heat at the end of the
- 31:49game. Always.
- 31:52All I was saying is Eli seemed to make all the big could you?
- 31:55Stop with the giant crap. This is what are we talking
- 31:59about the Giants all the time. This.
- 32:00We're talking to a Brock you. Know we're we're we're we're TJ
- 32:03that are joining. The charger.
- 32:06All right, and why are we talking this this conversation,
- 32:08it all of a sudden sways to the Giants and Eli May just because.
- 32:11He didn't agree with you and. I don't listen.
- 32:14He doesn't like Phillip Rivers. That's fine.
- 32:16That's great. Most people don't.
- 32:18That don't people, Most people don't.
- 32:19It's not about liking. It's just.
- 32:23I don't think most people agree with you on that.
- 32:25That's. Fine.
- 32:26And that's why, that's why I got my own opinion and that's why I
- 32:29think Phillip Rivers, out of all three of them, is the better
- 32:31quarterback. You think he was always talking
- 32:33shit? I didn't.
- 32:34Say you didn't ask me who was a better quarterback, you asked me
- 32:37who I think was going to the Hall.
- 32:38No, I, I said, no, I, I know people are going to argue that
- 32:41because, but if, if it was up to me and I, I would look at all
- 32:45three quarterbacks and my, my thought on who the better
- 32:48quarterback, I, I would see Philip Rivers was #1 Ben
- 32:51Roethlisberger was #2 Eli Manning was #3 they're going to
- 32:54look at Eli Manning because he won the two chips, he won the
- 32:57two MVPS. He's a Manning.
- 32:59They're going to look at that Like you were saying, it's all
- 33:02about the name Eli. Probably go to the Hall of Fame
- 33:04before both of these guys. I think all three of them are
- 33:07going to the Hall of Fame. They very, very much well
- 33:10deserved. And and we we just mentioned Tom
- 33:12Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger,
- 33:16Philip Rivers, Eli Manning. You're talking about 6 of the
- 33:19greatest quarterbacks of all time, and you played against all
- 33:23of them. Yeah.
- 33:25Man, tough pickings. You had to have a really.
- 33:28Good recruiter for your defense. Maybe this guy showed up at you
- 33:32guys houses to try to help build that defense.
- 33:35Man, that that's that's a real. Hopefully he wasn't.
- 33:38Wearing any of that outfit? Special.
- 33:41Specialty is field hockey at pickleball.
- 33:47Hey, TJ, his. Fits are terrible, son.
- 33:53Hey, that's a real fit. Too like we're this isn't the
- 33:56other ones are but the the blue blazer, red shirt and camo pants
- 34:00that is for real. God hey you in between, you bout
- 34:06to go on vacation after work? Everybody.
- 34:11Kicking with the. Bullet, we love Nithin.
- 34:14Nithin is just a dude. He wears this blue blazer
- 34:16everywhere he goes when he goes to these events, and I always
- 34:19tell him, I always tell him, why don't you just get every single
- 34:22athlete to sign the blue blazer until he completely covered an
- 34:26autograph and then frame it. This guy will not do it every
- 34:30single event. Everybody knows him.
- 34:32I call him the blue blazer because he wears that blue
- 34:34blazer no matter where he goes. It is the funniest thing uniform
- 34:38now, man, it's. Uniform Wait, mark you.
- 34:41Got to have a trademark, definitely.
- 34:44Recognition. That's what you call brand
- 34:46recognition right there. But then he also has his other.

- 41:16Tell him. Oh, my God.
- 41:17Tell him what? You told us.
- 41:20Tell them, Tell him what you told us.
- 41:23Oh God, you. You could just play on the
- 41:25soundboard. He he told us that if he had the
- 41:29opportunity to take a woman out, he would put a leash on her and
- 41:33take her for a walk. Oh, wow.
- 41:41Yeah, that's Nathan. That's Nathan for you, TJ.
- 41:48You guys. Wow.
- 41:54Anyways, TJ, we love you. Thank you for joining us, bud.
- 41:57No problem, appreciate. It man talk to you soon.
- 42:00Former 8 year. NFL safety, Browns, Broncos,
- 42:05Buccaneers, 2010 to 2017, the one and only TJ Ward.
- 42:10Thank you, Nathan, for fucking us up.
- 42:11He was great, fantastic. And he and he gave us a lot of
- 42:15good takes. And now he knows that you're an
- 42:17absolute weirdo. So we're good.
- 42:20Come on, you're crazy. I already admit it.
- 42:28Anybody that knows me, everybody that knows me knows I'm crazy
- 42:32and I'm weird. I don't think it's hidden.
- 42:34ESPN Pablo Torre did a report on a potential collision case with
- 42:41the NFLA report that was 61 pages relating to the NFL
- 42:46limiting restriction guaranteed money on contracts.
- 42:51There was a ruling by an independent arbitrator named
- 42:54Chris Droni back in January that there was no collusion, but
- 43:00Tory's report shows that several owners might of coordinated to
- 43:05reduce guaranteed money. This case came about in about in
- 43:10the NFL Owners owners ownership meeting in March 2022 after the
- 43:15Browns gave to Sean Watson a fully guaranteed five year, $230
- 43:20million contract. Roni added that all 32 NFL
- 43:23owners were encouraged to reduce guaranteed contracts to
- 43:28veterans, and Roger Goodell was on board with it even though he
- 43:33couldn't find any direct collusion.
- 43:36The NFL Player Players Association accused the NFL of
- 43:40violating Section 17 of the CBA, which prohibits teams from
- 43:46entering any agreements with the league or other teams when
- 43:51negotiating deals with their players.
- 43:54They mentioned Russell Wilson, Lamar Jackson and Kyla Murray
- 43:58failing to get the guaranteed money they wanted on their deals
- 44:03as evidence of potential collusion and even showed Lamar
- 44:08Jackson S phone being destroyed as evidence.
- 44:12John Mara said it was ridiculous to believe that Jerry Jones or
- 44:17any other owner would have contract contacted him about
- 44:21influencing on the guaranteed money on the big contracts that
- 44:27DAC Prescott got. However, some owners including
- 44:31Robert Kraft have mentioned Roger Goodell has contacted them
- 44:35about guaranteed money on big contracts and Speedy was all
- 44:39over the place with this. But here's the honest truth.
- 44:43Roger Goodell is a cold hearted ass and this man has not helped
- 44:48anybody. What when you look at the NFL
- 44:50right now with the money they should be giving to people not
- 44:54playing players that have put their bodies on the line.
- 44:57The the knee injuries, the head injuries, the trauma that these
- 45:01guys have gone through over the years with the CTE and all these
- 45:05destructional things that have happened to these guys lives and
- 45:09not get full benefits after walking away from the game and
- 45:13only got $100 million. Just shows you how bad of a
- 45:16Rodger Goodell is. And now you're hearing about
- 45:18collusion of money and guaranteed money and Lamar
- 45:21Jackson getting screwed or was that they were trying to screw
- 45:25Lamar Jackson. Just tells you one thing about
- 45:28the NFL and how bad the NFL is when it comes to taking care of
- 45:31their own players. Lamar Jackson, Russell Wilson,
- 45:35Kyla Murray, all guys Now, Kyla Murray and Russell Wilson are
- 45:38two not very nice guys. Kyla Murray, who talks in the
- 45:41third person, and Russell Wilson, who we've heard through
- 45:45many different people, we've had guys on her show that love him.
- 45:48Russell Wilson is an on and off badass who likes to screw, you
- 45:53know, movie stars or musicians like Sierra.
- 45:56The fact is, is the NFL Association is like being
- 45:59accused violing Section 17 of the CBA.
- 46:03Now I don't I don't read contracts.
- 46:05I don't read the CBA and the laws and the rules.
- 46:09What I do know is these guys deserve every bit of the money
- 46:13that they get. These guys are the best players
- 46:15on the field. These are the guys that are
- 46:17running the the huddle. These are the guys that are
- 46:20throwing the ball and putting their bodies on the line.
- 46:22Now the offensive lineman to same thing with the running
- 46:25backs. Why aren't the running backs
- 46:26making the money they deserve? Saquan Barkley got the biggest
- 46:29contract in NFL history this offseason.
- 46:32Why? It wasn't because of the NFL.
- 46:34It was because the Philadelphia Eagles realized this guy helped
- 46:38them win a Super Bowl. This guy had a chance to break
- 46:40Eric Dickerson S record in a season and decided to sit out
- 46:45the final game so he could be healthy for the playoffs.
- 46:48That tells me how great and how important A-Team needs to be to
- 46:53win a championship. Roger Goodell is making 55 or
- 46:57$58,000,000 right now. He has his own jet.
- 47:00Him and his family have medical bills paid for the rest of their
- 47:03lives if he steps away from the game.
- 47:05You tell me a football player that has those kind of deals.
- 47:08You tell me, a football player that has their own jet besides
- 47:12the ones that are making hundreds of millions of dollars,
- 47:15none of them go ask Boomer Asiasin, that's a play by play
- 47:19guy right now. He didn't make enough money in
- 47:21those times to survive Joe Montana going and doing all
- 47:25these autographed signings. So he'd stayed afloat.
- 47:27Stay afloat or on commercials or all these different commercials
- 47:31that he's in because he needs to make ends meet because he didn't
- 47:34make it in the time and obviously the game was a
- 47:37completely different game at the time.
- 47:39These players are making tons and tons of money.
- 47:41These owners are making tons and tons of money.
- 47:43These executives are making tons and tons of money.
- 47:46The fact is, the NFL need to figure out what is good and what
- 47:52is right by what the rules show it to be.
- 47:55And I don't think the NFL is following that.
- 47:57And I think the CBA and the NFL and Rodger Goodell are a bunch
- 48:01of assholes. Yeah, and it screws a lot of
- 48:04these other. Players over too, when you have
- 48:05to force certain contract incentives in order to get in,
- 48:08obviously you're happy that the these players are making money
- 48:11like especially with the quarterbacks, they're getting a
- 48:12lot of money. But again, if Kyler Murray,
- 48:15let's say the percentage of the guaranteed contract he didn't
- 48:17get at the time, it might have was a little higher until the
- 48:21ownership or the other ownership swayed it or Rodger Goodell
- 48:24swayed it because they're the Chargers owner.
- 48:27Spanos actually was saying that there was actual contact with
- 48:30the Cardinals owner before they gave him that $260 million deal,
- 48:34which at the time I thought was a lot.
- 48:35And obviously he's been injury prone since then.
- 48:37So it hasn't worked. But maybe the guarantee money,
- 48:39if there was a similar percentage, it would have been
- 48:41less. So maybe the Cardinals could
- 48:42have paid somebody else a little more.
- 48:44Maybe they could have kept more of their players from that core
- 48:46that made the couple playoff appearances instead of having to
- 48:49rebuild and tear everything down around Kyler Murray and now
- 48:52they're still trying to work their way back up.
- 48:54And then Spanos said with Justin Herberts contract, many owners
- 48:58were saying don't give them this amount of guarantee money and
- 49:00maybe that's why it took a while for Justin Herbert.
- 49:03He signed right the start of the season in 2023 after Joe Burrow
- 49:06signed. So you're looking at a case
- 49:08where maybe that could have been avoided and other players will
- 49:11have to suffer not being able to get that.
- 49:12Like you said, running backs, linebackers, safeties that don't
- 49:15get paid as much money are going to be getting that.
- 49:17Now we've seen better percentages.
- 49:18Christian McCaffrey on his contract, I think got 17 of the
- 49:2118,000,000 and guaranteed on his extension, which is fine, but
- 49:25you want to see more of that overtime with all these
- 49:27positions too. And it just sucks the way
- 49:29they're doing. How about DeMarcus Russell?
- 49:30Remember when he was drafted, how much money did he make?
- 49:33How long was the NFL and in the NFL, did he deserve the money
- 49:37that he got? And after that, after him and
- 49:39Sam Bradford, what did the NFL do when it came to draft and
- 49:43quarterbacks and getting paid the top money?
- 49:45They changed it. They changed the CBA.
- 49:47Why? Because they didn't like what
- 49:49these quarterbacks were making and not providing enough on the
- 49:52football field. That's the problem right now,
- 49:55the NFL and it's I don't, I don't, I know everybody wants to
- 49:58say it's collusion or this and that.
- 50:00It's not collusion. The NFL is run by the owners who
- 50:04who helps the owners come out with these laws in these these
- 50:07these rules, The one and only Roger Goodell.
- 50:10Roger Goodell has his hands dipped in everything.
- 50:12As long as the owners are happy with Roger Goodell, Roger
- 50:16Goodell doesn't care who he's screwing and what he is doing.
- 50:19When it comes down to it, that's what Roger Goodell is all about.
- 50:23And that's why Roger Goodell is not liked by any player.
- 50:25Ask anybody that comes on our show.
- 50:27Ask any ex player that talks about Roger Goodell what they
- 50:31really want to say about him and they don't.
- 50:33They don't like him because he's a piece of garbage and he
- 50:36doesn't care about the players. He cares only what the owners
- 50:39tell him to care about. Yeah, I think, I think Trevor.
- 50:41Price was the only player that was like, kind of neutral on
- 50:43him. Yeah, you know why?
- 50:45Because him. And Roger could tell about us,
- 50:46right? But truth, understandably.
- 50:48There's going to be some relationships.
- 50:49They're going to have that, but they are.
- 50:50But going back to like, it's also funny that he actually had
- 50:53some funny things. Sorry, Trevor, but you know
- 50:54it's. True, he actually has some funny
- 50:56things to say. About Lamar Jackson's contract
- 50:57at the time too, when he cited but nevertheless, let me.
- 51:00Ask Trevor now what he thinks about Lamar Jackson's contract.
- 51:03Let's hear it. He was more, he was more taking
- 51:05a shot. To the fact that his mom was his
- 51:06agent or something like that, who cares, she's the best.
- 51:08Quarterback in the NFL, that's what this is about.
- 51:11Though is that Goodell screwed Lamar Jackson?
- 51:14Yeah, he did. Specifically Lamar Jackson,
- 51:16because the contract for Deshaun Watson was the last big contract
- 51:20right before Lamar's. And because, look, we remember
- 51:25the history of this. They didn't ever had guaranteed
- 51:27money in the NFL. Why?
- 51:29Because they didn't want to have to pay aging veterans like the
- 51:33Jacoby Ellsberries of the world. The Yankees had to pay for years
- 51:36and it didn't ever play. The Carl Pavanos, Seattle and
- 51:39Robertson cut those guys in football, in baseball and not
- 51:44pay them. In football you can.
- 51:46So what did football do? They had the big signing bonuses
- 51:49right up front so you would get the upfront money to make up for
- 51:52the fact you weren't getting the guaranteed money.
- 51:55Then the idiot Brown's owner decided to do both and up and
- 51:59the entire system. So Goodell had to step in and
- 52:02try to right the ship and bring that guaranteed money back down.
- 52:06He absolutely colluded. They said he did, the arbitrator
- 52:09said he did, but everyone kind of realized the Browns were
- 52:13stupid and he kind of should have colluded in this situation
- 52:16and fixed this situation. It's still screwed Lamar Jackson
- 52:19though. He asked what Pablo Torre
- 52:21unearthed that they admitted that he colluded and they still
- 52:24didn't punish the NFL anyway. They allowed the case to go to
- 52:27the NFL, not the NFLPAS way, the NFL that.
- 52:31First of all, the NFL and Rodger Goodell got away with Spygates.
- 52:34They've gotten away with everything.
- 52:36And then they went after Tom Brady because of Deflategate.
- 52:39And Deflategate was absolutely ridiculous.
- 52:41It was redundant from what? Spygates really screwed the
- 52:45rims. The Rams should have won that
- 52:46Super Bowl. They should have won that Super
- 52:48Bowl, but Bill Belichick cheated and there was tape on it.
- 52:51And what did they? What did Rodger Goodell do?
- 52:53Because he was Robert Kraft's fisherman buddy.
- 52:56He got rid of the tapes. He burned the tapes.
- 52:58Why? Nobody knows and nobody saw it
- 53:01but the NFL and the executives of the Patriots.
- 53:04What a bunch of bull crap and honest to God truth.
- 53:08Roger Goodell is only there still is because he's everybody,
- 53:12every owner's butt buddy. He's probably bending over over
- 53:15there on a round table while everybody's butt fucking him in
- 53:18the ass. That's the truth.
- 53:20And I will say the word because it's true.
- 53:22Roger Goodell bends over and he gets it in the ass by every one
- 53:26of those owners. Every one of those owners.
- 53:29Because in the end, as long as he's making $58,000,000 and him
- 53:33and his boys and his family and his wife has lifetime of
- 53:37insurance and his own goddamn jet, he will do whatever it
- 53:41takes. Including let Jerry Jones stick
- 53:44an 8 ball up his ass. OK?
- 53:46It's absolutely ridiculous and honestly, I will stick up for
- 53:51the NFL players. I think Roger Goodell is a piece
- 53:54of garbage. He should be absolutely thrown
- 53:57to the walls, thrown to the dogs.
- 53:59ABBA, why don't we reach out to Michael Vick and let him have
- 54:02his slickers and slacks on that piece of garbage?
- 54:04It's even. That one off the rails.
- 54:07It's even getting to the point. Where we haven't seen a lot of
- 54:10these owners like really challenge him to the same level
- 54:12since we talked about it a few weeks ago.
- 54:13The late Jim Ursay, who did have a couple things to say about
- 54:16Goodell later in his later in his career.
- 54:18And now you're he's the only one that was honest.
- 54:21Right. And now you're seeing but even.
- 54:22We're seeing now in this instance some of the other older
- 54:25school owners turning on him too, probably besides Jerry
- 54:27Jones. But John Mayra did.
- 54:29Robert Kraft did. Like you're saying, they had a
- 54:31good relationship with the past. But now even Robert Kraft is
- 54:33admitting, oh, we were negotiating deals, the Patriots
- 54:35in that 2021 offseason when they spent a lot of money and they
- 54:38were saying, oh, don't give him this much guarantee.
- 54:40Let me ask you a question. Let me ask you an honest
- 54:42question, Jimmer say that story came out about the Viking Inns
- 54:46and all that other stuff. When did it come out?
- 54:49When did the story come out? When he was a drug addict and it
- 54:53just came out of nowhere and it popped.
- 54:55It was when. He said.
- 54:57What? When he said what when he
- 54:59attacked Roger Goodell and the NFL, it was weeks before that
- 55:04story came out that this Jim Ursay was popping pills and
- 55:09doing all the the garbage that he was doing.
- 55:12Why do you how do you think that came out?
- 55:13It wasn't, it wasn't executive. It wasn't the team.
- 55:16This guy's the owner. Nobody was throwing him under
- 55:18the bus. Of course it was the NFL.
- 55:19It was Roger Goodell because Roger Goodell screwed 11 Chucky.
- 55:25What's going on right now with Chucky right now?
- 55:27He can't get a job in college. He can't get a job in the NFL.
- 55:32Why do you think Chucky can't get a job?
- 55:34Because Roger Goodell and Schneider threw this man under
- 55:39the bus while fifty other executives and coaches were on
- 55:43that e-mail and it never came out.
- 55:45It never came out, still hasn't come out, and they paid Chucky
- 55:49to keep his mouth shut when the truth really is Roger Goodell
- 55:54threw Chucky to the wolves because Chucky was the one that
- 55:57stood up to Roger Freaking Goodell.
- 55:59Chucky lost his job with the Raiders.
- 56:01Chucky couldn't even get a job right now at college.
- 56:04He's coaching high school ball. OK?
- 56:06It's absolutely pathetic. Roger Goodell is a piece of
- 56:10freaking crap. That's what he is.
- 56:12And I will say it proudly, and I don't give a crap if anybody in
- 56:16the NFL don't like it. He's a piece of crap.
- 56:19And that's the way he should be treated.
- 56:20He should be treated like every single player.
- 56:23He's treated like garbage over the years.
- 56:25All those people, all those kids that have CTE, have brain
- 56:29trauma, knee problems can help them, medical problems.
- 56:32All these players that have been on this show that have told us
- 56:35the NFL hasn't stood behind them after all those years of giving
- 56:39their bodies on the line. And that is because of Roger
- 56:42freaking Goodell, $100 million. You're going to pay the players
- 56:46that have given their bodies, put their bodies on the line for
- 56:49over 50 years, $100 million when you're making $58,000,000 a
- 56:54year. Shame on you, Roger Goodell.
- 56:56Shame on the NFL. It's a piece of shit.
- 56:59That's what it is. The NFL is an organization
- 57:03burning a hole in every single sponsorship to take, take, take,
- 57:07take, take as they have been doing for over 30 freaking
- 57:12years. And I have my thoughts to the
- 57:14NFL because I know what the NFL did to me when I went to the
- 57:17Super Bowl in Miami. I know what they did when I had
- 57:21my I had the, I had everything. I was ready with credentials.
- 57:25And I go up to the table and they tell me, oh, we lost your
- 57:28credentials. I don't know.
- 57:29I don't know what happened to it.
- 57:31I know what happened to it. Roger Goodell and that those
- 57:34stupid executives, they don't know nothing and they don't
- 57:37really want the truth coming out.
- 57:38Well, guess what? I will spin it.
- 57:41I will shake it. And you know every single one of
- 57:44those owners will be sticking it to Mr. Goodell every single time
- 57:48they're around that stupid, ugly round table, wasn't it Robert
- 57:52Turbin? When he had him on the show that
- 57:53said his insurance, another one was was literally expiring the
- 57:57day after we had him on the show.
- 57:59Absolutely, yeah. Like it was bad.
- 58:01Pathetic. It's bad, but the.
- 58:03Worst part is, too the better the NFL does, the more money
- 58:07Goodell makes. It's it's absolutely.
- 58:09Pathetic. It's it's crazy.
- 58:11That's that's why he. Has the job for so long though,
- 58:13right? He's made the owners a butt load
- 58:16of money. Like you keep paying that guy to
- 58:19do it. If he keeps making you money at
- 58:20that, that's just an investment for these owners.
- 58:24I mean, he seems like a very, I mean, the fakest smile you've
- 58:27ever seen. Like a politician.
- 58:29I mean, this guy's basically a politician for the NFL.
- 58:33That's what he is. I'm sorry.
- 58:34To curse the way I am on this show more more than a
- 58:37commissioner though. Right.
- 58:38He's a politician, him and Rob. Manfred are the two worst
- 58:42commissioners and Adam Silver's not even a commissioner.
- 58:45That's the LJA. LeBron James is the commissioner
- 58:48and and Adam Silver's his puppet.
- 58:51He's his ugly Dumbo puppet over there.
- 58:54The only commissioner right now in professional sports that
- 58:57really stands out to know what he's doing.
- 58:59It's crazy to say, is the one that gets booed every time he
- 59:01goes up and he announces who? Welcome to the NHL draft, Gary
- 59:06freaking Bettman. He's the only one that goes out
- 59:09out there and does the right thing for their organizations.
- 59:11Every one of the other idiots, they're all for themselves and
- 59:14the owners. What a piece of garbage.
- 59:17I'm done with this. Please, let's move on.
- 59:19I am. I'm done.
- 59:20I am so angry at all these. You had to bring the story up.
- 59:24I cared. Stand Roger Goodell.
- 59:26I can't stand the way the NFL treats the players.
- 59:28We've had them on the show. I've stood behind the players
- 59:31and I will continue. I don't care if the NFL don't
- 59:32like it, Screw them. They don't have to listen to it,
- 59:35but they know I'm telling the truth.
- 59:38I'm not high. Can we get a blood pressure
- 59:39ticker that we put on? Here I'll check.
- 59:42It out. I'll check it out when we go to
- 59:46break. Screw the NFL next.
- 59:49Listen my vein. Always pops out.
- 59:51I'll tell you where another vein pops out, but I can't say it on
- 59:53live radio. Congratulations to Mr. Goody as

- 1:01:55That'll be fun. He's actually he's the Cowboys
- 1:01:58play by play guy on the radio. He is.
- 1:02:00He is honest to, he's the honest, most honest person when
- 1:02:04it comes to Cowboys football. So he's not going to beat around
- 1:02:07the Bush with the Cowboys. And I'm sure he has his thoughts
- 1:02:10to the organization and what they did at this year's draft,
- 1:02:13which everybody thinks they had a good draft.
