Above all, fear the LORD and serve Him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things He has done for you. — 1 Samuel 12:24Samuel tells the people: consider what great things He has done for you. Remember the whole way the Lord your God led you these forty years in the wilderness. It's good for you to be afflicted so you learn His statutes. The Lord has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. As high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him.
