Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is to the Mark Simon show.
- 0:04Speaker 2: I'm seventen wr.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Hey.
- 0:08Speaker 4: Believe it or not, there's talk of bringing back The Apprentice.
- 0:14Speaker 4: Remember Donald Trump? The Apprentice. It started off early two thousands,
- 0:19Speaker 4: very early two thousands, and it became a big hit
- 0:23Speaker 4: and next thing you know, it ran fourteen seasons. Fourteen seasons.
- 0:28Speaker 4: It was for a long time the number one highest
- 0:31Speaker 4: rated show in television. It was the great producer, Mark
- 0:35Speaker 4: Burnett that came up with it. He's the guy that
- 0:37Speaker 4: came up with Survivor and that that kind of stuff.
- 0:41Speaker 4: And he came up with Shark Tank, which is done
- 0:45Speaker 4: in Los Angeles, and he was on this show and
- 0:50Speaker 4: we asked him about The Apprentice and he said, the
- 0:51Speaker 4: way it came about was he had to travel. You know,
- 0:55Speaker 4: Survivor he had to leave his family go travel over
- 0:58Speaker 4: all these crazy places, and then Shark Tank had to
- 1:01Speaker 4: travel out to LA He wanted a show that would
- 1:03Speaker 4: take place in New York City so he didn't have
- 1:06Speaker 4: to leave his family, so he could be with his family.
- 1:08Speaker 4: So he came up with this idea, what's New York City.
- 1:11Speaker 4: It's a lot of big corporations, business, executive skyscrapers. So
- 1:14Speaker 4: he decided to be a business show. He came up
- 1:17Speaker 4: with the whole concept, a top top top business ceo.
- 1:22Speaker 4: I would be looking for an apprentice and they'd all
- 1:24Speaker 4: have to audition for a business thing. And I asked him,
- 1:29Speaker 4: I said, well, and how'd you come up with Donald Trump?
- 1:31Speaker 4: He said, well, we came up the whole concept, and
- 1:33Speaker 4: then we said, who's the most famous businessman in America?
- 1:37Speaker 4: And was Donald Trump? So he was the first choice
- 1:39Speaker 4: and we couldn't believe it. He said.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Now that's an important little fact there, because you'll hear
- 1:45Speaker 4: all these left wing MSNBC types all or New York
- 1:50Speaker 4: Times always claimed that Trump was just a reality host.
- 1:54Speaker 4: Nobody knew him. It was the Apprentice, the apprentices, and
- 1:57Speaker 4: they keep making it sound like the apprenticelted him. No,
- 2:01Speaker 4: just the opposite. Again, I said to Mark Burnett, what
- 2:05Speaker 4: made you think of Donald Trump? He said, well, we're
- 2:07Speaker 4: looking for a businessman. He was the most famous businessman
- 2:10Speaker 4: in America. So here's the point of all this. There's talk, now,
- 2:14Speaker 4: very serious talk of bringing back The Apprentice. Now obviously
- 2:19Speaker 4: President Trump can't do it, although knowing him, he would
- 2:22Speaker 4: do it. If he asked me, he'd probably want to
- 2:24Speaker 4: do it, but he can't do it. He's the President
- 2:27Speaker 4: United It's a little busy right now. So Don Junior
- 2:31Speaker 4: would be the businessman. It would be The Apprentice with
- 2:35Speaker 4: Donald Trump Junior. I can't remembize it Netflix, I think no,
- 2:38Speaker 4: I think it's Amazon. It's Amazon. I think it's either
- 2:41Speaker 4: Netflix or Amazon, but I think it's Amazon that's in
- 2:44Speaker 4: talks to bring this back. They would probably do the
- 2:47Speaker 4: same exact show, do it at Trump Tower, same setup.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Although that conference room that you saw in The Apprentice
- 2:53Speaker 4: wasn't the real conference room. That was actually a TV set.
- 2:57Speaker 4: The real Trump conference room looks a lot different. It's
- 2:59Speaker 4: all win. It's too tough to film in there. But
- 3:05Speaker 4: it would be Don Junior, it would be The Apprentice.
- 3:07Speaker 4: It would probably be a huge hit. And now, of
- 3:09Speaker 4: course it would drive the left absolutely nuts. Now, if
- 3:13Speaker 4: somebody owns The Apprentice, I guess it's NBC. If they
- 3:18Speaker 4: were smart, they would just put it on the air Primetime,
- 3:20Speaker 4: bring the Apprentice back, put it on.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Now.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Of course they hate Trump so much they won't do that,
- 3:24Speaker 4: but put it on. It was a pretty good show.
- 3:27Speaker 4: So Pete Hegsith is on the witness Stand again, he's
- 3:32Speaker 4: in hearings, congressional hearings, and what they do. Democrats are
- 3:36Speaker 4: great at this. Republicans stink at hearings. They don't know
- 3:39Speaker 4: what to do. Republicans can hold a thousand hour hearing
- 3:42Speaker 4: and there's never one second of anything you want to run.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Democrats anytime to hold a hearing any ten minutes, there's
- 3:49Speaker 4: explosive tax and vicious stuff. It goes viral. But they
- 3:54Speaker 4: had Hexith testifying. Actually, of course they were yelling and
- 3:57Speaker 4: screaming and causing you to going after him for every
- 3:59Speaker 4: little thing.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Underground, they're buried and we will watch four steps.
- 4:03Speaker 4: And now he's trying to explain, how well, how do
- 4:06Speaker 4: we get the nuclear material? What do you mean you're
- 4:07Speaker 4: gonna go get the nuclear material? It's it's buried underground.
- 4:11Speaker 4: But he's trying to explain it. They're already yelling at him.
- 4:14Speaker 5: Underground, they're buried, and we will watch you a four
- 4:17Speaker 5: step so we know where any nuclear material.
- 4:20Speaker 6: Claiming my time for watching a second here. We had
- 4:23Speaker 6: to start this war. You just said sixty days ago
- 4:28Speaker 6: because the nuclear weapon was an imminent threat. Now you're
- 4:32Speaker 6: saying that it was completely obliterate.
- 4:34Speaker 5: Had not given up their nuclear ambitions, and they had
- 4:37Speaker 5: a conventional.
- 4:38Speaker 6: Shield of thousands of operation midnight and we com moment
- 4:41Speaker 6: nothing of substance in the point place we were before.
- 4:47Speaker 4: It's possible that Democrat is actually that stupid. More likely
- 4:53Speaker 4: he's faking being that stupid. It's pretty simple to explain
- 4:56Speaker 4: when we did that take out the nuclear reactors. We
- 4:59Speaker 4: complet completely destroyed their nuclear reactors. That was it. It's gone.
- 5:03Speaker 4: But when you wipe out a nuclear reactor, you're going
- 5:05Speaker 4: to get some Trump calls it nuclear dust. It's some
- 5:08Speaker 4: nuclear waste that's underground. And they have also been trying
- 5:13Speaker 4: to acquire and put together some nuclear material separate from that,
- 5:19Speaker 4: and they always claim it's for commercial use power energy,
- 5:24Speaker 4: although you're an oil rich country, what do you need
- 5:26Speaker 4: nuclear energy? But when it's used for power energy commercial purposes,
- 5:30Speaker 4: the nuclear stuff is enriched to about twenty percent. When
- 5:35Speaker 4: it gets to ninety percent, it's a nuclear weapon. So apparently,
- 5:38Speaker 4: in the weeks before the war, we knew that Iraq
- 5:41Speaker 4: had enriched this stuff up to sixty percent, so it
- 5:45Speaker 4: was heading very close to weapons grade nuclear stuff. So
- 5:49Speaker 4: that's why we had act when we did. Now, it's
- 5:51Speaker 4: not that complicated to figure out we took out there.
- 5:53Speaker 4: They're huge nuclear stuff we just complete. Now that's not
- 5:58Speaker 4: to say that there's not going to be some little
- 5:59Speaker 4: new clear materials somewhere. So the congressman just playing stupid,
- 6:04Speaker 4: just acting dumb, and they just kept going after a hets.
- 6:08Speaker 5: The biggest challenge, the biggest adversary we face at this
- 6:12Speaker 5: point are the reckless, feckless, and defeatist words of congressional
- 6:18Speaker 5: Democrats and some Republicans two months in, I remind you,
- 6:23Speaker 5: two months in to a conflict.
- 6:25Speaker 4: Yeah, apparently it's one of the things that Iran is
- 6:30Speaker 4: counting on that the left, they saw this in Vietnam.
- 6:33Speaker 4: The left, the Democrats will rise up and break down
- 6:36Speaker 4: the morale and nobody will be for the war and
- 6:38Speaker 4: we'll give up that. That's what they're counting on.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Now.
- 6:41Speaker 4: It's cost us. I think about twenty five billions so far,
- 6:44Speaker 4: and they're yelling at them about the cost.
- 6:46Speaker 5: The one point five trillion dollar f y twenty seven
- 6:48Speaker 5: budget put forward by the President will build upon the
- 6:52Speaker 5: historic one trillion dollar f y twenty six top line
- 6:56Speaker 5: and continue to reverse the four years of underinvestment and
- 7:00Speaker 5: mismanagement of the Biden administration.
- 7:03Speaker 4: Yeah, Now, let's say cost twenty five billion, it's worth it.
- 7:06Speaker 4: I mean, our dream was to get rid of this
- 7:08Speaker 4: terrorist regime, the most evil regime in the world, the
- 7:12Speaker 4: most evil terrorist sponsor in the world, looking for nuclear weapons.
- 7:18Speaker 4: If you could do that for twenty five million, Hey,
- 7:20Speaker 4: it was five billion, Obama would send it over on
- 7:24Speaker 4: a pallet. But if it's twenty five billion, also, you're
- 7:27Speaker 4: talking about, you know, killing their nuclear program. You're really
- 7:31Speaker 4: talking about stopping the next nine to eleven or if
- 7:34Speaker 4: it's nuclear, something far worse than nine to eleven, that's
- 7:37Speaker 4: certainly worth twenty five billion if we could stop If
- 7:40Speaker 4: we could have stopped nine to eleven for twenty five billion,
- 7:42Speaker 4: we certainly would have paid it. Now, of the course,
- 7:44Speaker 4: it's Democrats are going to yell it's a quagmire, we're stuck.
- 7:47Speaker 5: Shame on you for that statement, and statements like that
- 7:49Speaker 5: are reckless.
- 7:50Speaker 1: To our troops.
- 7:50Speaker 5: Don't say I support the troops on one hand, and
- 7:52Speaker 5: then a two month mission is a quagmire.
- 7:55Speaker 1: That's a false equivalation.
- 7:57Speaker 5: Who you cheering for here, who you're pulling for? Our
- 7:59Speaker 5: troops are an incredible work they've done, incredible things for
- 8:02Speaker 5: the entirety of this mission and achieved incredible battlefield successes,
- 8:07Speaker 5: and you sit there and go on TV for your
- 8:09Speaker 5: clickbait about quagmires.
- 8:12Speaker 4: It is kind of funny because a quagmire that started
- 8:15Speaker 4: in Vietnam where the war began in sixty three, sixty two,
- 8:20Speaker 4: early sixties, and then ten years were there, ten years
- 8:24Speaker 4: and more eleven years, that's a quagmar. This is a
- 8:28Speaker 4: couple of weeks, a few weeks, it's not even two
- 8:31Speaker 4: months yet, a quagmar. Absolutely ridiculous. Now, of course they're
- 8:35Speaker 4: going to go after heggs of these not competent And.
- 8:37Speaker 5: You want to ask that question after you and your
- 8:39Speaker 5: fellow Democrats defended Joe Biden who could barely speak, and
- 8:42Speaker 5: this week was now auto pen we've got a secretary
- 8:46Speaker 5: of Defense who went a.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Wall for a week.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Yeah, I remember that Biden had that awful Defense secretary,
- 8:52Speaker 4: Lloyd Austin, who vanished a couple of times. Nobody knew
- 8:55Speaker 4: where he was. He just went a wall for a
- 8:57Speaker 4: few weeks. Now you could look at Heck's the thing.
- 9:00Speaker 4: I don't know. He doesn't look like a top guy.
- 9:02Speaker 4: He looks kind of goofy. He looks and the way
- 9:05Speaker 4: he talks. He's a little you could do all that,
- 9:08Speaker 4: but under his watch he has pulled off like nineteen
- 9:13Speaker 4: of the most unbelievable greatest military operations in history, from
- 9:18Speaker 4: taking out those nuclear sites in Iran to the Maduro raid,
- 9:24Speaker 4: I mean, go on and on to the opening day
- 9:26Speaker 4: of the war when they killed the entire leadership of
- 9:30Speaker 4: Iran in one shot. I mean, under his leadership. I know,
- 9:35Speaker 4: it looks like he knows what it's doing. Doesn't look
- 9:37Speaker 4: like in meantime, he's Aaron Judge. He's like setting records
- 9:40Speaker 4: for home runs. He's just hitting grand slams left and
- 9:42Speaker 4: right militarily. Hey, this crazy mom, Donnie. Now he's like
- 9:49Speaker 4: a goofy college kid. He went to one of these
- 9:51Speaker 4: Ivy League and doctrination colleges where you come out of
- 9:54Speaker 4: crazy socialist and you know, if you try to explain
- 9:57Speaker 4: to them, like you know, socialism has been tried fourteenthus
- 10:00Speaker 4: times in every country in the world, it never works.
- 10:03Speaker 4: They don't want to hear that. They don't care about that.
- 10:05Speaker 4: They don't care if it works. It's it's just the
- 10:07Speaker 4: idea of it. I love the idea of it. Now,
- 10:11Speaker 4: the grocery store thing is insane. You talk to every
- 10:14Speaker 4: major grocery store company. It costs one million to three
- 10:18Speaker 4: million to open a grocery store. Let's say it's two
- 10:20Speaker 4: million he's opening. It's not even a real grocery store.
- 10:23Speaker 4: It's just a little dump of a room in this
- 10:26Speaker 4: dumpy place up in Harlem. He's talking about thirty million
- 10:29Speaker 4: for this. The Whole Foods in a Time Warner Center
- 10:34Speaker 4: right over there, that's massive, did not cost thirty million.
- 10:38Speaker 4: The Wegmans that's coming to the Upper West Side, it's
- 10:41Speaker 4: not costing thirty million. This little hole in the wall
- 10:44Speaker 4: dump thirty millions, total waste of money. So we got
- 10:49Speaker 4: to three three and a half more years of this guy.
- 10:53Speaker 4: It's going to be one incredibly stupid thing after another.
- 10:56Speaker 4: His latest one now is Park Avenue. Park Avenue from
- 11:01Speaker 4: fifty seventh Street all the way down to forty sixth Street.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Fifty seventh Street, as you head towards forty six that's
- 11:08Speaker 4: the met Life building used to be the pan Am building.
- 11:12Speaker 4: That's Park Avenue. It's all skyscrapers, it's all business. There's
- 11:16Speaker 4: the JP Morgan building, there's the Mutual of America building.
- 11:20Speaker 4: It's all these skyscrapers. Lever Building, there's the Brafman Building.
- 11:26Speaker 4: On the other side, there's the Rudent Building. It's just
- 11:30Speaker 4: a skyshit. It's all business. It's a business district, nothing else.
- 11:34Speaker 4: And in the middle of Park Avenue, it's very wide
- 11:36Speaker 4: Park Avenue. They call it park Avenue because in the
- 11:39Speaker 4: middle is a median that has some grass and some
- 11:42Speaker 4: flowers and some trees. It's very beautiful. So Mamdani now
- 11:46Speaker 4: wants to take Park Avenue and completely chop it up,
- 11:49Speaker 4: expand the median so it's bigger than the roads. Right now,
- 11:54Speaker 4: you've got about two three lanes on each side of
- 11:57Speaker 4: Park Avenue. He wants to cut that down to one
- 11:59Speaker 4: lane each way and have an enormous park in the
- 12:05Speaker 4: middle of each block. And he said this will be
- 12:08Speaker 4: good because people can stroll, they can sit in the park,
- 12:12Speaker 4: they can have coffee there. I mean, just this is
- 12:18Speaker 4: so incredibly stupid. About three blocks away is Central Park,
- 12:23Speaker 4: one of the most spectacular parks in the world. If
- 12:25Speaker 4: you want to go be in a park, go over there.
- 12:28Speaker 4: Who the hell wants to sit in the middle of
- 12:31Speaker 4: Park Avenue and a little patch of grass having their coffee? Now, first,
- 12:35Speaker 4: of all, he's gonna cut each side down to one
- 12:37Speaker 4: lane each way, so it's going to be total gridlock.
- 12:41Speaker 4: You're going to hear horns honking all the time. This
- 12:44Speaker 4: is not the park you want to be sitting in.
- 12:45Speaker 4: It makes absolutely no sense. It's going to cost a fortune.
- 12:50Speaker 4: If it's one hundred million dollar project, he'll spend five
- 12:53Speaker 4: hundred million. But it's just absolutely crazy, insane, total waste
- 13:00Speaker 4: of money. We have to set up before Trump leaves.
- 13:04Speaker 4: He's gonna have to set up some kind of government agency,
- 13:07Speaker 4: some federal task force that if you're overpaying like crazy
- 13:11Speaker 4: for something, if you're wasting zillions of dollars of tax
- 13:14Speaker 4: payer money, they can step in and stop the project
- 13:17Speaker 4: right there. So we'll see you. Here's that.
- 13:22Speaker 1: You know.
- 13:22Speaker 4: It's all started when we found that learning center in
- 13:24Speaker 4: Minnesota with it's misspelled it says leering center that was
- 13:28Speaker 4: like nineteen billion in fraud stolen money by the way.
- 13:31Speaker 4: Some reporters went to check it out. Apparently it's totally abandoned.
- 13:35Speaker 4: The FBI did a massive raid for the fraud. It's
- 13:39Speaker 4: been totally abandoned. Some reporters found some people in the neighborhood.
- 13:45Speaker 4: There was a night watchman somewhere. It's been there for
- 13:47Speaker 4: many years. He said he has never ever, ever, once
- 13:51Speaker 4: ever seen any kid come and go out of that
- 13:53Speaker 4: learning center, not a single child ever. Oh, there you go.
- 14:00Speaker 4: And Vice President Vance also he's running a task force
- 14:04Speaker 4: to go look at that stuff in Minnesota. And apparently
- 14:07Speaker 4: Tim Waltz in some speeches sort of trying to take
- 14:10Speaker 4: credit for uncovering this, when actually Vance pointing out it
- 14:14Speaker 4: was not Waltz, it was the report of the uncovered.
- 14:18Speaker 4: It's the federal government doing the crackdown, and Waltz has
- 14:21Speaker 4: been of absolutely no help at all on it. All right,
- 14:25Speaker 4: you didn't get invited to the state dinner for Prince
- 14:28Speaker 4: King Charles, the King Charles State dinner, white tie and tails.
- 14:33Speaker 4: It looked quite amazing, white tie in tails, the gold
- 14:37Speaker 4: plate settings, the gold silverware, the gold trim, the plates
- 14:41Speaker 4: were absolutely magnificent. What did you miss? What would you
- 14:44Speaker 4: have eaten? Here's the menu? Now, knowing Donald Trump, I
- 14:49Speaker 4: don't think he ate one thing here. He must have
- 14:50Speaker 4: had some cheeseburger or something hidden under the table, because
- 14:53Speaker 4: the menu started with garden vegetable relute, which is it says,
- 15:01Speaker 4: a silken and aromatic soup, and again, knowing Donald Trump,
- 15:05Speaker 4: I don't think he's looking for a silk and aromatic soup.
- 15:08Speaker 4: Hearts of palm salad with toasted shallots or shalots as
- 15:12Speaker 4: they say in England, and micro mint. Then the second
- 15:18Speaker 4: course was made with fresh herbs grown in the White
- 15:21Speaker 4: House Garden. You know, go to a real gourmet market,
- 15:26Speaker 4: you get better fresh herbs. White House garden I don't
- 15:29Speaker 4: grow the best fresh rbs. But it was a ravioli
- 15:31Speaker 4: with ricotta and morel mushrooms. Okay, that's passable. Third course
- 15:37Speaker 4: dover soul moniere with spring ramps, snow peas, pave potatoes,
- 15:44Speaker 4: and parsley oil. Again, I guarantee it. Donald Trump had
- 15:47Speaker 4: a cheeseburger or a club sandwich hidden under the table.
- 15:51Speaker 4: Dessert was a beehive shaped chocolate getteau filled with vanilla
- 15:57Speaker 4: bean crimw whatever the hell that is, an almond sponge,
- 16:01Speaker 4: along with crim fresh ice cream and White House honey.
- 16:06Speaker 4: I guarantee you Donald Trump had a cheeseburger and a
- 16:09Speaker 4: big slice of chocolate cake hidden under the table and
- 16:12Speaker 4: was actually eating that. Anyway, We'll take some calls next
- 16:16Speaker 4: eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the
- 16:19Speaker 4: number eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 16:25Speaker 5: It is in access to Mark by setting a pre
- 16:28Speaker 5: set in the iHeartRadio app for his live show.
- 16:31Speaker 4: And his podcast.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simone show on woor.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Hey, Let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 16:43Speaker 4: zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three two
- 16:46Speaker 4: one zero seven ten. Let's go to Maria in Tarrytown, Maria,
- 16:51Speaker 4: how you doing him?
- 16:53Speaker 1: Mark?
- 16:54Speaker 7: Can I ask if it's true that Nick Shirley discovered
- 16:58Speaker 7: that with these new free grocery stores that Eli Mohammad Mundani,
- 17:05Speaker 7: his brother is buying up these old buildings and then
- 17:09Speaker 7: his cousin Rufus is doing the construction and then building
- 17:14Speaker 7: the American public for all these remodelization as they are calling.
- 17:20Speaker 4: I wouldn't be surprised. Mam Dammy is a Muslim.
- 17:23Speaker 8: Right, Yep.
- 17:25Speaker 4: You don't usually find a Muslim named Rufus. That's unusual name.
- 17:30Speaker 4: But we'll look into it. Nick Shirley's done a great job. Yeah,
- 17:34Speaker 4: something's it costs about two million to build a grocery store.
- 17:39Speaker 4: He's spending thirty million on this little dumpy one. And again,
- 17:43Speaker 4: nobody could actually be that stupid, so she's probably right.
- 17:47Speaker 4: We'll look into this. It has to be some fraud
- 17:49Speaker 4: going on. That's one of the key factors of the
- 17:52Speaker 4: socialists when they take power. There's always a lot of
- 17:55Speaker 4: fraud going on. Let's go to Rich in Fair Lawn,
- 17:58Speaker 4: New Jersey. Rich How you doing.
- 18:00Speaker 2: I'm doing fine, Mark, thank you for taking my coral.
- 18:03Speaker 2: I'm just curious to know what happened to all the
- 18:05Speaker 2: food that was prepared for ly two thousand, five hundred guests.
- 18:11Speaker 2: I'm quite certain there was a lot of stuff.
- 18:15Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a it's a well, it's a big loss
- 18:18Speaker 4: because you pay for the ballroom by the person. I
- 18:23Speaker 4: would guess that affair, you're probably paying five six hundred
- 18:27Speaker 4: of person. So at times two thousand, that's five six
- 18:30Speaker 4: hundred thousand. And I don't know what happens to the money.
- 18:32Speaker 4: Do they get a do over? Do they have to
- 18:35Speaker 4: pay the money again? The hotel can not refund the money,
- 18:39Speaker 4: say hey, we provided everything, the food, the service. But
- 18:42Speaker 4: it's a good point. Yeah, all that food was lost.
- 18:43Speaker 4: Now there is video you can see it on my
- 18:46Speaker 4: Twitter one media figure running around stealing the champagne bottles.
- 18:51Speaker 4: There was a guy who you know the food was there.
- 18:54Speaker 4: He kept eating despite everything else. He just sat there
- 18:57Speaker 4: eating his salad. Turned out he was a cold blooded
- 19:00Speaker 4: agent from Hollywood eating that food. Yeah, I mean it
- 19:06Speaker 4: happens a lot. You know, when you go to any
- 19:07Speaker 4: big ballroom, hotel affair, there's always a bunch of people
- 19:12Speaker 4: that eat the steaks. Some people didn't eat their desserts,
- 19:14Speaker 4: and there's a lot of people, guess employees afterwards, just
- 19:20Speaker 4: run around and take it all and eat it. Let's
- 19:21Speaker 4: go to Richard and Bayshore. Richard, how you doing.
- 19:25Speaker 8: I'm doing well.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Mark.
- 19:26Speaker 8: Listen, don't forget that the trains to Grand Central run
- 19:29Speaker 8: under Park Avenue. Yeah, it's not just you have to
- 19:33Speaker 8: consider ventilation, escape, fire water, what kinds of things that
- 19:37Speaker 8: you wouldn't with normal construction.
- 19:39Speaker 4: Good point. It's this dumb mom Danni plan to turn
- 19:43Speaker 4: Park Avenue the middle the median, expand it and make
- 19:46Speaker 4: big parks in each block. You're right, the trains are
- 19:49Speaker 4: running under there. You be he said, you could lie
- 19:51Speaker 4: there in the park. Meantime it'll be shaking and rumbling
- 19:54Speaker 4: from the trains going by, and you got to have
- 19:56Speaker 4: those ventilation things in there. Let's go to John and
- 19:59Speaker 4: Norway walk. John.
- 20:00Speaker 1: How you doing, I'm good, Mark, How are you good?
- 20:05Speaker 2: Mark?
- 20:06Speaker 9: I'd like to talk about Laura Trump for a second. Yeah,
- 20:10Speaker 9: when President Trump was running for president and Laura was
- 20:15Speaker 9: in charge or she was the co chair I guess
- 20:17Speaker 9: of the RNC.
- 20:18Speaker 8: Yeah, she did a terrific job.
- 20:20Speaker 4: She was great.
- 20:21Speaker 1: But I'm sorry, godhead, No, it's just agreeing.
- 20:25Speaker 4: She did a great job to have Republican Party. RNC
- 20:27Speaker 4: was a mess. She turned it around, fixed it up.
- 20:30Speaker 4: Probably wouldn't have won without.
- 20:31Speaker 10: Her, absolutely, And that's why i'm That's why I'm I'm calling,
- 20:35Speaker 10: and I'd like to know why the Republicans don't have
- 20:39Speaker 10: somebody like Laura or Laura herself to get back in there,
- 20:44Speaker 10: because we're really or we could be in a bit
- 20:46Speaker 10: of a bit of trouble.
- 20:48Speaker 4: We're not in that much trouble. I think that they're
- 20:51Speaker 4: pretty happy with the people running and they're doing pretty well.
- 20:54Speaker 3: You know.
- 20:54Speaker 4: Right now, the RNC has raised about one hundred and
- 20:56Speaker 4: ten million. The DNC has raised about seventeen million, So
- 21:01Speaker 4: that's one of the main jobs of the party to
- 21:03Speaker 4: raise the money. RNC is raised about one hundred and
- 21:05Speaker 4: ten million. DNC seventeen million. Usually it's the other way around.
- 21:10Speaker 4: So things are going pretty well there. Let's go to
- 21:12Speaker 4: Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark, Good morning Marah. I'm okay. Mark. Speaking
- 21:19Speaker 3: of that dinner, what dover sold? That was probably found
- 21:22Speaker 3: from the Great South Bay or from the Chesapeake Bay, right, Rich, Mark,
- 21:28Speaker 3: Most people don't know this. The city can't buy insurance
- 21:32Speaker 3: as in this case that they're going to have to
- 21:34Speaker 3: pay out with this wrongful arrest. The city just pays out.
- 21:38Speaker 3: There's no insurance on the writer. That'll on the write
- 21:42Speaker 3: the city because the premimbers would be astronomical. Mark, speaking
- 21:47Speaker 3: about that case, what makes that guy's case doublely credible
- 21:54Speaker 3: when you actually when it was going down and the
- 21:58Speaker 3: person in the liquor store was solm it. You hear
- 22:00Speaker 3: the cop in the background as he's holding the guy
- 22:03Speaker 3: down saying call a bus, Call a bus. The guy's
- 22:07Speaker 3: bleeding out. The guy's bleeding out. And the next day
- 22:10Speaker 3: the first images they show he has a cut across
- 22:15Speaker 3: the bottom of his leg, and just judging looking at it,
- 22:21Speaker 3: I'd say he had an easy ten stitches there.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Mark.
- 22:27Speaker 3: I also believe with this the CIA there's a cover
- 22:31Speaker 3: up going on there, because last night Todd Blanche gets
- 22:34Speaker 3: on the media and says, oh, we still don't know
- 22:39Speaker 3: if that was friendly fire that hit the Secret Service
- 22:43Speaker 3: agent's vest or.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Shot.
- 22:48Speaker 4: Something's going on.
- 22:48Speaker 3: We don't know.
- 22:49Speaker 4: I mean, it would take one second just to pull
- 22:51Speaker 4: the bullet out of the vest and see what gun
- 22:53Speaker 4: of came from the Keeping that quiet. They're claiming they
- 22:56Speaker 4: don't know yet. So hey, when we come back, Jimmy
- 22:59Speaker 4: Fayla will be with us. He was there covering the
- 23:01Speaker 4: whole thing. We'll talk to him next on seven to
- 23:03Speaker 4: ten WOR.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Mister New York marks them upon seven ten WR.
- 23:11Speaker 4: Well, Jimmy Fayla. He does a great show right here
- 23:14Speaker 4: on WR every night nine to Midnight's very funny, very interesting.
- 23:18Speaker 4: You should be listening every weeknight nine to midnight on WOR.
- 23:23Speaker 4: And then on Saturday nights he does the best late
- 23:25Speaker 4: night show in television, the best monologue in television. It's
- 23:29Speaker 4: Saturday nights at ten, It's on the Fox News Channel.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Jimmy Fayla, how you doing well.
- 23:35Speaker 1: I just want to clarify for your listeners that sometimes
- 23:38Speaker 1: I do a show on Saturday night and sometimes they
- 23:41Speaker 1: shoot up the correspondence. Dinner doesn't always go off as plans, all.
- 23:45Speaker 4: Right, So now you went down there because you told
- 23:46Speaker 4: us last week you were going to do a three
- 23:48Speaker 4: hour special coverage of the dinner. You were going to
- 23:51Speaker 4: pre prepare film all kinds of things to use. What happens,
- 23:54Speaker 4: all that stuff you had scheduled to go.
- 23:57Speaker 1: You will find out tomorrow. Oh Oka through the show,
- 24:01Speaker 1: because we're gonna wind up Aaron most of it. You know,
- 24:03Speaker 1: I went. If you remember I was talking to you
- 24:05Speaker 1: last Thursday, I was on my way to the White House. Yeah,
- 24:07Speaker 1: and I went down. I hung out with the President.
- 24:11Speaker 4: If you remember, you said, Oh, I don't think i'll
- 24:13Speaker 4: see him. I said, he'll know you're in the building.
- 24:15Speaker 4: He'll get you in the Oval office.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Now there's also there's also the small matter, no stredamis
- 24:22Speaker 1: that I might have been playing possum. Let's not forget that.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Even Okay, he didn't like see me on the loan
- 24:29Speaker 1: and be like fail is here, but he was. To
- 24:33Speaker 1: be clear, he was probably one of the top two
- 24:36Speaker 1: funniest people I've ever met. I don't know who the
- 24:38Speaker 1: first person would be, but I was alone with the
- 24:40Speaker 1: President for about twenty minutes in the Oval office just
- 24:43Speaker 1: talking about comedy. It's really surreal. And he knows like
- 24:47Speaker 1: my family by name. He was like, your son's really
- 24:49Speaker 1: good looking kid. What's his name Lincoln? I said, yeah,
- 24:51Speaker 1: And it was so surreal that we were talking about
- 24:53Speaker 1: Lincoln while he was sitting at Lincoln's desk. He was
- 24:57Speaker 1: at Abe Lincoln, you know, behind the Resolute Death, and
- 24:59Speaker 1: I I said, it was crazy because you know, I
- 25:01Speaker 1: only went to the White House to get my cocaine
- 25:03Speaker 1: out of the lockers, and there I am talking to
- 25:06Speaker 1: the President.
- 25:07Speaker 4: Well, he's a big fan of yours, telling me it's
- 25:10Speaker 4: the best late night show on television. Saturday Night's attend.
- 25:12Speaker 4: President Trump never misses it. So, and what do you
- 25:16Speaker 4: think of the office? He's added a lot of a
- 25:19Speaker 4: decorp to those walls.
- 25:21Speaker 1: It's kind in all honesty, He's probably the only one
- 25:24Speaker 1: who went down to Graceland and didn't think Elvis had
- 25:27Speaker 1: a lot of gold on the walls. It's so bizarre
- 25:32Speaker 1: how just how much is there. It almost looks like
- 25:36Speaker 1: a high end cracker barrel, like it obviously holds more
- 25:40Speaker 1: significance because it's the Constitution as presidential Boston Winston Churchill
- 25:44Speaker 1: and all that stuff. But he is really, like, I mean,
- 25:48Speaker 1: accounting for every inch of that wall. But it looks good,
- 25:52Speaker 1: like it's tastefully spaced out, it's well hung, so it's nice,
- 25:56Speaker 1: but it's busy. It says a lot happening. I was
- 25:58Speaker 1: trying to take it all in, you know, all honesty.
- 26:00Speaker 1: I could, and I need to go back.
- 26:02Speaker 4: Yeah, so this Saturday night, back to ten o'clock, and
- 26:09Speaker 4: what will you show all that footage you shot at
- 26:10Speaker 4: the White House. There's a lot of good stuff there.
- 26:12Speaker 1: A good amount of White House stuff, but what we're
- 26:14Speaker 1: really going to show a lot of is the actual
- 26:16Speaker 1: dinner because I was filming on the red carpet with
- 26:19Speaker 1: everybody in the cabinet, a lot of White House members,
- 26:23Speaker 1: a lot of TV stars. I mean I had Brian
- 26:25Speaker 1: Stelter on for five minutes. Yeah, and we're going to
- 26:28Speaker 1: show that Brian.
- 26:28Speaker 8: Stelter from CNN.
- 26:30Speaker 1: And it wound up being a much better hang than
- 26:32Speaker 1: you think, because like when I do those interviews, these
- 26:35Speaker 1: people get pretty comfortable because I'm not trying to like
- 26:37Speaker 1: ruin them and make them look bad. It was a
- 26:39Speaker 1: friendly hang. So he was a good sport. We asked him.
- 26:42Speaker 1: You know who he wanted to carpool with if he
- 26:44Speaker 1: had to carpool with one Fox star? He said, Greg Gottfeld,
- 26:47Speaker 1: And then I had to explain to him that he'd
- 26:50Speaker 1: have to drive every day because Gottfeld can't reach the pedals.
- 26:53Speaker 4: But you know, so, yeah, there's a CNN MS now,
- 26:58Speaker 4: you know, off the air in real life see nice,
- 27:00Speaker 4: pleasant people, They just become maniacs when they go on television.
- 27:04Speaker 1: So yeah, some of them are off the air nice.
- 27:06Speaker 1: I don't know, like I've never been at a party
- 27:08Speaker 1: and been like, man, I can't wait till Joe Scarborough
- 27:11Speaker 1: gets here. He's nice enough. Yeah, he's nice enough, but
- 27:15Speaker 1: like you know, there's some of them that can that
- 27:18Speaker 1: get it, that'll come on and play nice. Like to
- 27:20Speaker 1: give you an example, last time I did the Correspondence Dinner,
- 27:23Speaker 1: I had Lester Whope, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roger and they
- 27:25Speaker 1: were fun. And this time around we didn't see as
- 27:29Speaker 1: many of those types, but we saw like Triumphy and
- 27:31Speaker 1: sold Comic Dog was there, so he came on, and
- 27:34Speaker 1: you know, Stelter and a lot I mean, the entire
- 27:37Speaker 1: presidential candidate cabinet anyway, is on my show this Saturday,
- 27:42Speaker 1: it'll be pretty neat.
- 27:43Speaker 4: Hey tell us about the end of the dinner. I know,
- 27:45Speaker 4: they got the president everybody out of there, but then
- 27:48Speaker 4: how did did a lot of people stay? Did they
- 27:50Speaker 4: sit down, did they finish eating? Where?
- 27:52Speaker 1: Did it actually what happened? Yeah, So they initially thought
- 27:57Speaker 1: the President was going to come back out, because that's
- 27:59Speaker 1: what he told, you know, he said he wanted to
- 28:00Speaker 1: come back out, and so they made an announcement in
- 28:03Speaker 1: the room that the President was going to come back out,
- 28:05Speaker 1: and then the Secret Service made a second announcement in
- 28:08Speaker 1: whatever room the President was in that that wasn't an option,
- 28:11Speaker 1: so he headed back to the White House. They declared
- 28:13Speaker 1: that the dinner was over, at which point everybody went
- 28:17Speaker 1: and absconded as much wine and champagne as they possibly could,
- 28:22Speaker 1: which I again I also understand. I mean, these people
- 28:25Speaker 1: were probably all eight drinks into their evening, shooting brakes
- 28:29Speaker 1: out and now what are you gonna do? Just let
- 28:31Speaker 1: him dump all that wine, waste all that wine. So
- 28:34Speaker 1: I wasn't as like, you know, people on the internet
- 28:36Speaker 1: are like, oh, look at all these people taking home
- 28:38Speaker 1: the booth, But you understand, like the bars weren't open
- 28:41Speaker 1: because they needed to get people out of the hotel.
- 28:43Speaker 1: So it's kind of the funniest thing to explain to
- 28:46Speaker 1: you is that that dinner ended with people in ball
- 28:49Speaker 1: gowns and real glam makeup chugging champagne in the middle
- 28:53Speaker 1: of Connecticut Avenue inside the Hilton. It was so bizarre,
- 28:57Speaker 1: and how does that work?
- 28:58Speaker 4: Fifteen hundred people all come out at once the car
- 29:00Speaker 4: from the Vala.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Yeah, there was no chance of that. They were just
- 29:04Speaker 1: on the street. You want to know, a real thing
- 29:07Speaker 1: to a block from the hotel is a place called
- 29:09Speaker 1: DC Platinum, and apparently that's some type of an adult establishment. Well,
- 29:13Speaker 1: it was cold enough and drizzly enough that a lot
- 29:17Speaker 1: of women, like real high end looking women went in
- 29:21Speaker 1: there just because they wanted to get out of the
- 29:23Speaker 1: fricking element. So they had their glassiest looking crowd of
- 29:27Speaker 1: old time in the DC Platinum Club after that dinner.
- 29:32Speaker 4: Hey, the king was here for a couple of days.
- 29:35Speaker 4: Were you impressed with the king?
- 29:38Speaker 1: You know what I thought he would addressed. He's a king.
- 29:40Speaker 1: I thought he would have dressed up. I thought we
- 29:42Speaker 1: would have got maybe a crown, maybe the fur cape
- 29:46Speaker 1: he kind of gave us the Zelinsky he had showed up.
- 29:48Speaker 1: I mean he's in a suit, which for the king
- 29:51Speaker 1: is a suit. It's not a big deal. It's like
- 29:53Speaker 1: Zolensky's showing up in his tracksuit, you know. So I
- 29:56Speaker 1: was a little bummed that we didn't get full king regalia.
- 29:59Speaker 1: You know, I was Catholic. If the pope shows up,
- 30:01Speaker 1: he don't show up in a suit. He gives you
- 30:03Speaker 1: the pope outfit, you know, and you go, wow, that's
- 30:05Speaker 1: the Pope. So the fact that the King didn't give
- 30:07Speaker 1: us full king I almost felt a little slighted as
- 30:10Speaker 1: the country. So I know, you know, he had a
- 30:12Speaker 1: lot of wise cracks in the Oval office. So I
- 30:14Speaker 1: don't we might have to give the Brits a wedgie
- 30:16Speaker 1: or something. I don't know.
- 30:17Speaker 4: Well, as Trump says, it always says, doesn't that guy
- 30:20Speaker 4: own a dark suit? You think he'd wear like a
- 30:22Speaker 4: dark blue suit instead that light blue thing.
- 30:24Speaker 1: But don't.
- 30:25Speaker 4: Yeah, and that speech, you know, when you talk, when
- 30:29Speaker 4: you speak like him and that voice, everything sounds brilliant,
- 30:33Speaker 4: but if you analyze it, there really wasn't. I mean,
- 30:36Speaker 4: if anybody else gave that speech, nobody would thought would
- 30:39Speaker 4: have thought much of it.
- 30:40Speaker 1: So Uh, not at all. You're right about that. He
- 30:44Speaker 1: has like that timber because of his voice and the
- 30:46Speaker 1: nobility of the crown, and so you know he makes
- 30:50Speaker 1: a couple of throwaway jokes and you go, haha, you know,
- 30:53Speaker 1: but that is you know, sometimes it isn't what you say,
- 30:55Speaker 1: it's how you say it. And like when he told
- 30:58Speaker 1: Megan and Harry to get the hell out of my life,
- 31:00Speaker 1: you know, like you say it, they listen and they're gone.
- 31:05Speaker 1: I like that.
- 31:06Speaker 4: Jimmy faylo a lot has his wife on the show
- 31:08Speaker 4: that she looks great. She's got a lot of personality,
- 31:10Speaker 4: got a lot of energy, she's fun. Let's say you
- 31:13Speaker 4: were married to Camilla, would you have her on the show?
- 31:16Speaker 4: She doesn't look like a lot of laughs.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Does she? Yeah, listen, I don't you know, I don't
- 31:26Speaker 1: know that Camilla is a cut up, you know what
- 31:28Speaker 1: I'm saying. Like, the one thing about Jenny is you
- 31:30Speaker 1: can make fun of her and it doesn't look mean
- 31:32Speaker 1: because she's so much better looking than I am. So
- 31:35Speaker 1: it's kind of it looks like I'm punching up, you know.
- 31:37Speaker 1: Whereas Camilla, you know, she has more of like she's
- 31:40Speaker 1: more of a roadie her vibe. Yeah, and yeah, I
- 31:44Speaker 1: don't know that she could roll with it. I mean,
- 31:45Speaker 1: in an ideal world she could, but I doubt it.
- 31:48Speaker 1: I mean, and again, I don't see the King coming
- 31:50Speaker 1: on anytime either. To his credit.
- 31:54Speaker 4: Yeah, so what he got on the show? You can
- 31:57Speaker 4: hear Jimmy Payler tonight and every week night midnight on
- 32:01Speaker 4: w o R. It's a really good show, really funny
- 32:03Speaker 4: nine to midnight. What's on tonight show?
- 32:06Speaker 1: So you're get a guys are gonna hear from Caroline Sunshine,
- 32:09Speaker 1: who is a former Disney star who went to work
- 32:13Speaker 1: for Trump and the Trump White House and she has
- 32:15Speaker 1: some interesting stories to tell. And a great young comic,
- 32:19Speaker 1: a girl named Oneka McLean who plays all the clubs
- 32:22Speaker 1: here in the city. I want to get her on
- 32:24Speaker 1: my TV show, So I usually have them on the
- 32:26Speaker 1: radio to hang out with them first and just get
- 32:28Speaker 1: to know them better, and then I'll eventually book her
- 32:31Speaker 1: on TV. So Onneika is going to come by and
- 32:34Speaker 1: talk some smacks and probably call me fat for about
- 32:37Speaker 1: ten minutes, which is fine, you know, I can I
- 32:39Speaker 1: need the intervention at this point, and then we'll be
- 32:41Speaker 1: on TV before you know it. Ready to go Wow.
- 32:44Speaker 4: Now he does the best late night show on TV.
- 32:46Speaker 4: It's Friday. It's a Saturday night's at ten, Saturday at
- 32:48Speaker 4: ten on the Fox News channel. But you tape it
- 32:51Speaker 4: Friday night and people can come be in the audience.
- 32:54Speaker 4: It's a great date night on the Friday night be
- 32:56Speaker 4: in the studio audience. And how do they do that?
- 32:59Speaker 1: So yeah, it gets They're always free. If you guys
- 33:01Speaker 1: want to come into a taping, you go to Fox
- 33:03Speaker 1: Across America dot com. Foxcross America dot com. You could
- 33:07Speaker 1: register for free tickets. You'll meet all the Fox people.
- 33:11Speaker 8: It really is.
- 33:11Speaker 1: It's weird. Coming to a taping is like going to
- 33:13Speaker 1: a fancy zoo because you're just there, just observing us
- 33:17Speaker 1: in our natural habitat. And then when the show's over,
- 33:20Speaker 1: people take pictures. They're super friendly, so it is it's
- 33:23Speaker 1: kind of a well dressed zoo. That's the best way
- 33:25Speaker 1: I'd explain it to you. You're going to be a
- 33:27Speaker 1: part of the show. We're all going to talk to
- 33:28Speaker 1: you during the commercial breaks. We're gonna give you a
- 33:31Speaker 1: hard time for no good reason, and you're gonna laugh
- 33:33Speaker 1: and it's a great night out. Seriously, if anybody looking
- 33:35Speaker 1: for it's the most impressive date you could take somebody on,
- 33:38Speaker 1: and it's also the cheapest. So no excuse. Across America
- 33:42Speaker 1: dot com.
- 33:43Speaker 4: If you want to say to somebody, hey, I've arranged
- 33:45Speaker 4: to take you to Jimmy Faylor's show. We're gonna sit
- 33:47Speaker 4: in the audience, we're gonna meet them at We're gonna
- 33:49Speaker 4: have bet. You don't have to mention that it was free.
- 33:52Speaker 4: You don't have to say it enjoyment. So go to
- 33:54Speaker 4: Foxacross America dot com and get the tickets and you
