  Speaker 1: the other conferences except for the Sun Belt. The Mountain

  Speaker 1: West has done away with their divisions. It's a top

  Speaker 1: two teams. I know there's a tiebreaker out there. I'll

  Speaker 1: be honest with you, I don't know what it is

  Speaker 1: for the top two teams in this conference that will play.

  Speaker 1: I believe this conference game is still a home game,

  Speaker 1: but I have to go and double check that to

  Speaker 1: make sure. And then you've got the Pack two doing

  Speaker 1: kind of the Notre Dame acc thing where they're playing

  Speaker 1: somewhat of a Mountain West schedule that they don't qualify

  Speaker 1: to win the Mountain West Championship if they're in it,

  Speaker 1: but they play in and out of the Mountain West

  Speaker 1: along with some other West Coast games. You got there,

  Speaker 1: So yes, the Mountain West is interesting. I am really

  Speaker 1: hoping they embrace this Mountain West after dark Spot and

  Speaker 1: nine o'clock Central Time, and just take away with the

  Speaker 1: PAC twelve had going on there. I deeply hope that's

  Speaker 2: Well, if this league's gonna blow up, I think it's

  Speaker 2: the Big ten is gonna show a late game, but

  Speaker 2: There's just nobody that anybody cares about Boise State being

  Speaker 2: the only guy. But candidly, they hadn't been relevant in

  Speaker 2: that needs to probably make it happen for this league

  Speaker 1: impressive to me. This team finished nine to four straight

  Speaker 1: up five and eight against the number last year. This

  Speaker 1: team is definitely leaning back on its defense. If you've

  Speaker 1: got most service academies over the years, they all run

  Speaker 1: the triple option. They're going to grind it out. They

  Speaker 1: like that running clock. They're trying to take the air
• 8:50
  Speaker 1: out of the ball, and Calhoun's done a hell of
• 8:53
  Speaker 1: the job of that. This is an interesting squad to
• 8:55
  Speaker 1: me because it's really hard to take the academies into
• 8:58
  Speaker 1: consideration when you're looking at returning starters. Returning production, so

  Speaker 1: on and so forth. Because there is no transfer portal

  Speaker 1: that's available to these guys, they have to organically build

  Speaker 1: their rosters from within. They lose a stud quarterback last
• 9:12
  Speaker 1: year that had some mad wheels on him. But this team,

  Speaker 1: you know, last year they scored twenty six points a game.

  Speaker 1: They only gave up twenty three points a game. I

  Speaker 1: think that's right. Yeah, they scored twenty six points a game,

  Speaker 1: twenty eight points a game, and have a fourteen points

  Speaker 1: a game, and so I think this team's got some upside.

  Speaker 1: I don't know that they're going to get the double

  Speaker 1: digit wins, which they've been able to pull off. I

  Speaker 1: think are they won nine wins games at least like

  Speaker 1: three to the last couple of years. I don't know

  Speaker 1: that this team can get there. Their schedules not bad.

  Speaker 1: I mean they open up, but they should be favored

  Speaker 1: at Merrimack, They've got San Jose State. They'll be favored

  Speaker 1: over Navy. Who knows when you start stumbling in that.

  Speaker 1: The game it's interesting to me is Week three, when

  Speaker 1: they go to Baylor. I think they're going to be
• 9:54
  Speaker 1: pretty big dogs in that game, and I may be

  Speaker 1: riding with air Force here depending on how things go.

  Speaker 1: I mean, Baylor played air in the Armed Forces Bowl

  Speaker 1: Game a couple of years ago and just got embarrassed.

  Speaker 1: But they had kind of quit and given up at

  Speaker 1: that point. But it's just such an odd offense that

  Speaker 1: you have to be able to prepare for and you

  Speaker 1: don't put a whole lot of scheme in. And that's

  Speaker 1: why I think when Air Force and Navy and Army

  Speaker 1: step outside of their conference or their normal playing that's

  Speaker 1: where there's some opportunity there. I haven't gotten down on

  Speaker 1: any over under win tots with this twelve and one

  Speaker 1: to make the playoffs. Is what the odds are? Sixty

  Speaker 1: to or twelve to one to win the conference, sixty

  Speaker 1: one to win the payoffs, in one thousand to one

  Speaker 1: to win the conference. Over under win total, here's at

  Speaker 1: six and a half. Brother, what's your thoughts.

  Speaker 2: Well, I'll tell you my thoughts. Is there somebody even

  Speaker 2: though this roster they lost some really good players. Calhoun's

  Speaker 2: done a really good job. And I mean, yeah, you

  Speaker 2: mentioned they've won not the only year of the last

  Speaker 2: they went three and three. That's it. Calhouns won ten games,

  Speaker 2: double digit games five times, another three times he's won nine,

  Speaker 2: So he basically either has a losing record or he

  Speaker 2: that's a big, big difference. You're basically saying, can they

  Speaker 2: team or is this a rebuild? And it certainly looks

  Speaker 2: like a rebuild on hand, But overall he's been able

  Speaker 2: think this is a good fit for him, and I

  Speaker 1: five that makes it into the playoff. Where that's interesting

  Speaker 1: is you can get them at five to one to
• 14:28
  Speaker 1: make the playoff to win the conference they're right around

  Speaker 1: eating money, or you can bet them to win the
• 14:32
  Speaker 1: College Football Championship at four hundred to one. So if

  Speaker 1: you think they're going to make the playoff, my recommendation

  Speaker 1: to you would be to put some money down on
• 14:40
  Speaker 1: that bet and then use that as a hedge in

  Speaker 1: their opening position. Although who knows that when these team

  Speaker 1: has stepped up to play big teams in bowl games.

  Speaker 1: I mean, who will ever forget the Jared Zmbranski statue

  Speaker 1: of liberty in the Fiesta Bowl against Oklahoma. And so yeah,

  Speaker 1: this team has done some things. This is an interesting squad.

  Speaker 1: They bring in quarterback comes in here. Tyler Green actually

  Speaker 1: transferred out to Arkansas, but they keep Ashton Janty kid

  Speaker 1: had over nineteen hundred yards from the line of scrims

  Speaker 1: only given up twenty six. They bring in a quarterback

  Speaker 1: from USC and Malachi Nelson. He's going to be a

  Speaker 1: red shirt freshman, five star they kind of think that

  Speaker 1: he's probably going to get the job. I like the

  Speaker 1: offensive coordinator in Dirt Cutter, and I think he can
• 15:26
  Speaker 1: probably roll if he has to. He's got a backup
• 15:28
  Speaker 1: quarterback in Madson, so I feel comfortable with what they've
• 15:31
  Speaker 1: got from an offensive perspective. My question is is can
• 15:35
  Speaker 1: this team kind of live up to what the hype
• 15:37
  Speaker 1: is around them. Their schedule is not that hard. They
• 15:40
  Speaker 1: have to go to Oregon, and I think if they
• 15:43
  Speaker 1: can avoid getting beat by less than thirty five at
• 15:46
  Speaker 1: Oregon and they could somehow win out the rest or
• 15:49
  Speaker 1: even go ten to two, maybe dumping that game to
• 15:52
  Speaker 1: Washington State or Oregon State at the end, but they
• 15:54
  Speaker 1: get both of those games on the SMURF, I think
• 15:57
  Speaker 1: this team should have a good chance to win the
• 15:59
  Speaker 1: conference and get into the playoffs. I haven't played anything

  Speaker 1: around that yet. What's your opinion on this?

  Speaker 2: Well, this schedule is, I mean, candidly, is about as

  Speaker 2: easy as you can get if you're a if you're
• 16:12
  Speaker 2: a potential playoff team, and obviously they're they're a potential

  Speaker 2: playoff team. Do I think they're one of the best,

  Speaker 2: going to be one of the best twelve teams? In

  Speaker 2: the country. He'll know. I will tell you. I think

  Speaker 2: Georgia Southern is a fascinating game to watch because it

  Speaker 2: one completion. I believe in Malachi Nelson while but he's
