- 2:49Speaker 1: in the algorithm, allegedly, and so thank you in advance.
- 2:56Speaker 1: And I do have an announcement. Oh yeah, I'm a
- 2:58Speaker 1: wounded warrior. I have been felled by a bulging disk
- 3:04Speaker 1: bulging hood d in my l four and I got
- 3:07Speaker 1: some sort of stuend diossles.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I got to wear nerve stun noassles causing me
- 3:13Speaker 3: sciatic pain. And I don't know if any of you
- 3:16Speaker 3: pose have ever had siatica. I wouldn't wish it upon.
- 3:20Speaker 3: My worst enemy is terrible. I have been living in
- 3:24Speaker 3: a fresh hell for weeks now, and so if I'm
- 3:27Speaker 3: like changing my position, if I'm looking uncomfortable, that is why.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Yeah, but I take this podcast. There she does, it's
- 3:35Speaker 2: her drop.
- 3:36Speaker 1: This is a professional raccoon that you're looking at here.
- 3:39Speaker 1: So I'm gonna put up with the pain, yep, so
- 3:40Speaker 1: we can talk about these fucking plaths.
- 3:43Speaker 2: She literally bought a standing disk, so hopefully we can
- 3:46Speaker 2: do the pod.
- 3:49Speaker 1: And I bought an inversion table. Yeah, we should do
- 3:53Speaker 1: our next podcast, which you sitting here, and I'll just
- 3:57Speaker 1: be inverted on my own lady inversion. It's perfect in
- 4:01Speaker 1: the microphone. I love that idea.
- 4:03Speaker 2: I would love that with the blood rush in your head.
- 4:06Speaker 1: That would make it better.
- 4:07Speaker 2: That would be so great.
- 4:08Speaker 1: So we have to make some accommodations for the older
- 4:11Speaker 1: ladies in the room, but I'm excited to get into it.
- 4:14Speaker 1: And so before we get into the recap, I do
- 4:17Speaker 1: have to ask you, Beatrice. We've watched two episodes. Yeah,
- 4:21Speaker 1: this shit show. What is your global takeaway?
- 4:25Speaker 2: I guess my takeaway it's gonna be a little bit serious,
- 4:28Speaker 2: sorry about it.
- 4:29Speaker 4: It's not gonna be funny.
- 4:30Speaker 2: But like with Teagan and Ethan, you know, one thing
- 4:34Speaker 2: my mom always told me is that everybody is put
- 4:36Speaker 2: in your life for a reason to like teach you something,
- 4:39Speaker 2: to either teach you something about yourself, teach you something
- 4:42Speaker 2: about relationships, or just to teach you something in life.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Like sometimes you know, you gotta be taught a lesson.
- 4:48Speaker 2: And I feel like Teagan is Ethan's lesson of like
- 4:53Speaker 2: you know, you can't just keep being a shitty boyfriend.
- 4:57Speaker 2: You can't just keep avoiding everything and getting all chromagnum,
- 5:02Speaker 2: you know, toddler baby angry and run away and peel
- 5:06Speaker 2: off in your old man car. Like you had this
- 5:08Speaker 2: beautiful woman who loved you, Like, let's not forget that
- 5:12Speaker 2: she was in love with you. She thought she was
- 5:14Speaker 2: gonna marry you, and you still treated her like shit.
- 5:17Speaker 2: And now it's very obvious that she is moving on.
- 5:21Speaker 2: She don't want nothing to do with you. And I
- 5:23Speaker 2: think that that's what Ethan is going through right now,
- 5:25Speaker 2: like he's being taught a lesson. He failed to learn
- 5:29Speaker 2: that lesson with Olivia, he failed to learn that with Tegan.
- 5:33Speaker 2: And I'm just like, dude, the universe is gonna keep
- 5:35Speaker 2: sending you the same thing over and over again, Like
- 5:38Speaker 2: how many more beautiful women are you gonna fuck over,
- 5:41Speaker 2: dude and just lose and squander.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Well, but what people don't realize is that the universe escalates.
- 5:48Speaker 1: And so if you don't, if you don't learn your
- 5:50Speaker 1: lesson from the first encounter, m it's gonna be louder,
- 5:54Speaker 1: it's gonna be bigger. So like, pay attention to your life. Yeah,
- 5:57Speaker 1: pay attention to the common themes in your life. People
- 6:00Speaker 1: are telling you you are a terrible communicator and that
- 6:04Speaker 1: you're generally an asshole and misogynist. Don't get me started
- 6:08Speaker 1: on even flat Well, people are telling you that you
- 6:10Speaker 1: should listen and you should do the work required to
- 6:14Speaker 1: change yourself. Exactly, but like that's what we thinking raccoons
- 6:18Speaker 1: would do. Ethan is not a raccoon. He's a gelatinous,
- 6:23Speaker 1: mashed potato man.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Well, and Tiagan was recently on Instagram posting pictures of
- 6:28Speaker 2: her new mean and I'm just like you, and he's handsome.
- 6:33Speaker 1: I didn't see his face, I see his hand behind it.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Really good for her, even though I'm so bored with her.
- 6:39Speaker 1: She has no personality. In Veronica's Live, which we are
- 6:48Speaker 1: covering on Patreon. In fact, I think it drops tomorrow
- 6:52Speaker 1: or tomorrow Frida every day Friday, So like she actually
- 6:55Speaker 1: talks a little bit about Teagan. And while she's been
- 7:00Speaker 1: and vile and venomous, she's not wrong sometimes, Yeah, she's
- 7:04Speaker 1: not necessarily wrong. Taking bores me. So my takeaway is
- 7:08Speaker 1: that I was very offended on Kim's behalf.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Were you I actually was? I'm surprised. I really were
- 7:17Speaker 2: so excited about this conversation.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I was excited about it for all of the wrong reasons.
- 7:22Speaker 1: But when it happened, I was just looking at that
- 7:26Speaker 1: man Ken Palmer, Yeah, sitting across from her with all
- 7:32Speaker 1: the audacity in the world, with this dumb jukebox residing
- 7:35Speaker 1: in her farm house that she owns giving her ultimatums.
- 7:39Speaker 1: I mean I was wild with upset.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Wow.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I was upset about it, and I'm going to
- 7:44Speaker 1: be talking about it in this podcast.
- 7:45Speaker 2: You can't stop me. I know how you feel. I
- 7:47Speaker 2: won't stop you.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I know how you feel. But like I was very
- 7:50Speaker 1: offended on behalf of Kim and all portly women, me
- 7:54Speaker 1: included what portly Kim says herself. Yeah, Kim says herself.
- 8:02Speaker 1: I'm not fat shaming her. She says herself that she
- 8:05Speaker 1: has to lose weight.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:06Speaker 1: And in the most recent episode, we had a flashback
- 8:09Speaker 1: to when she first discussed Joshua, Like, something has changed
- 8:12Speaker 1: in her life. It's very evident, and so this is
- 8:14Speaker 1: something Kim is talking about. Yeah, And so I was
- 8:17Speaker 1: just offended on her behalf because she understands and she's
- 8:19Speaker 1: aware of it. Sure, Okay, zipping my lip without further ado,
- 8:24Speaker 1: Let's get into our recap of Welcome to Platfol season eight,
- 8:30Speaker 1: episodes eight and nine, entitled most Recent.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Well most recent is it's all caddiewampus.
- 8:37Speaker 1: I don't understand that.
- 8:38Speaker 2: I don't know what that means. Okay, but last week's
- 8:40Speaker 2: episode was Upcreek without a paddle and last week's episode
- 8:43Speaker 2: was pretty boring. The only highlight really was Ken confronting
- 8:48Speaker 2: Kim and giving the ultimatum about her weight and her
- 8:52Speaker 2: health or whatever. Last week's episode was very heavy on
- 8:56Speaker 2: Ethan and Teagan as well, because we were finishing up
- 8:59Speaker 2: the montage trip, and honestly, it was awkward af because
- 9:04Speaker 2: Teagan didn't really want to be there and she doesn't
- 9:07Speaker 2: really want to be with Ethan. Ethlyn is hopelessly hope
- 9:10Speaker 2: hoping that he can get back together with Teagan somehow
- 9:13Speaker 2: and like win her good graces back, and I'm like, dude,
- 9:16Speaker 2: it's never going to happen. Even Mariah and Isaac are
- 9:20Speaker 2: like trying to talk to him about it and be like, well,
- 9:23Speaker 2: maybe just meet her where she's at, And everybody's kind
- 9:26Speaker 2: of like tiptoeing around Ethan because they know that he
- 9:28Speaker 2: is depressed.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Well and you can't talk to him no, and he
- 9:32Speaker 1: won't listen to anybody.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Like at all, and he's just gonna do what he
- 9:35Speaker 2: wants to do. And like it goes back to my
- 9:37Speaker 2: takeaway earlier about like Ethan, you need to learn the lesson,
- 9:40Speaker 2: like these grand gestures that you are doing for these women,
- 9:45Speaker 2: Like it's not going to mean anything if your actions
- 9:48Speaker 2: are anytime you're upset or overwhelmed by your emotions, you
- 9:53Speaker 2: fucking peel off and run away and turn off your
- 9:56Speaker 2: phone so you can't be contact.
- 9:58Speaker 1: For hours, for hours while she's in another state with
- 10:02Speaker 1: your grandparents.
- 10:03Speaker 4: That's whack.
- 10:05Speaker 2: That is whack. I don't understand. And so it's like
- 10:08Speaker 2: last week's episode was really hard to watch just because
- 10:12Speaker 2: Ethan is just so pathetic, honestly, and it's sad, Like
- 10:18Speaker 2: it's sad, it's embarrassing. I'm just like, Ethan, what are
- 10:22Speaker 2: you doing? Teagan is just not into him. I don't
- 10:25Speaker 2: know why Teagan's even entertaining it. I don't know why
- 10:27Speaker 2: she went to Montana in the first place. We had
- 10:30Speaker 2: a conversation with her mom after they got back from
- 10:33Speaker 2: Montana and it was after Christmas, and this was super produced,
- 10:37Speaker 2: but you know, Teagan's mom was giving Ethan more grace
- 10:41Speaker 2: than what we're giving him. She was saying, you know,
- 10:43Speaker 2: he's very damaged obviously from his previous relationship, and he's
- 10:47Speaker 2: got a lot of healing to do. He's got to
- 10:49Speaker 2: do some shadow work. And Teagan's like, yeah, but I
- 10:53Speaker 2: don't want no part, no part of it. I guess
- 10:57Speaker 2: Ethan was alone on Christmas Day because you know, he
- 11:01Speaker 2: chose to move up to Wisconsin and be there, away
- 11:04Speaker 2: from his family, away from all of his friends for Christmas.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Teagan didn't want him over for Christmas, but she brought
- 11:11Speaker 2: him leftovers from her Christmas dinner.
- 11:14Speaker 1: It sounds really sad. I feel bad for Ethan because
- 11:18Speaker 1: of course, anybody who's alone at Christmas, especially when we
- 11:22Speaker 1: know his heart is to be with the woman that
- 11:23Speaker 1: he loves, like that's probably devastating. But you brought this
- 11:27Speaker 1: upon yourself with your bad behavior and then making this
- 11:30Speaker 1: crazy decision to move to eastern Wisconsin and get a house.
- 11:34Speaker 1: And she didn't ask for that, She didn't ask for
- 11:36Speaker 1: any of it, and so this is what you get.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Well, and it's obviously like he did this way too
- 11:41Speaker 2: late too, Like it's not like he moved to Wisconsin
- 11:44Speaker 2: right after their breakup to try and write her back,
- 11:46Speaker 2: you know, like he waited months, didn't talk to her.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Four months they broke up, they were done, no contact.
- 11:53Speaker 2: He goes back to Georgia four months, and then all
- 11:57Speaker 2: of a sudden, when he's lonely and his hands and
- 12:00Speaker 2: can't cut it out for him anymore, then he's like.
- 12:03Speaker 4: You know what, I'm gonna move to Wisconsin and winter back.
- 12:05Speaker 2: It doesn't work like that, It doesn't, It really doesn't.
- 12:08Speaker 2: So it's just it's pathetic to watch, honestly, and like
- 12:12Speaker 2: I feel bad for him, but at the same time,
- 12:13Speaker 2: it's like, dude, it's kind of frustrating me at this
- 12:16Speaker 2: point to watch him be so pathetic and try and
- 12:19Speaker 2: win this girl back who very obviously wants nothing to
- 12:22Speaker 2: do with him.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Well, and even when we skip ahead to the most
- 12:25Speaker 1: recent episode and Kim comes to see Ethan and bring
- 12:29Speaker 1: him some stuff, like she's trying to talk to you, Ethan,
- 12:33Speaker 1: She's trying to have a conversation, like she's attempting that
- 12:36Speaker 1: connection with you, and you're literally just not even answering her.
- 12:40Speaker 1: And I'm not sure if it's because you don't want
- 12:42Speaker 1: to talk on camera. I don't know that, Like there's
- 12:45Speaker 1: better ways to present yourself, yeah, and communicate something to somebody,
- 12:49Speaker 1: like it's just so broken. Yeah, he is so broken.
- 12:53Speaker 2: He needs therapy, dude. It's really bad. And honestly, like
- 12:56Speaker 2: I blame Kim and Barry, I really do, because I'm
- 12:59Speaker 2: just like, this is the kid that you produced, you
- 13:02Speaker 2: know what I mean.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Well, I think Kim Visa VI her conversation with Lydia
- 13:05Speaker 1: in the most recent episode kind of approaches taking accountability
- 13:09Speaker 1: for that little bit. But I think she knows, Yeah,
- 13:12Speaker 1: we didn't do the best job with these kids. Yeah,
- 13:15Speaker 1: and that's why my boys have picked weird partners. And
- 13:19Speaker 1: it all goes back to me and Barry, like she
- 13:21Speaker 1: said something like that, right, kinda sort of.
- 13:24Speaker 2: But it was also like in the same breath of
- 13:26Speaker 2: I'm offended that people are talking about that they didn't have,
- 13:30Speaker 2: you know, the tools and resources, Like what about me,
- 13:33Speaker 2: though I didn't have the tools and resources? Well, you're
- 13:35Speaker 2: the parent, I don't know.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Whatever.
- 13:37Speaker 2: But in last week's episode, again, like I said, the
- 13:39Speaker 2: highlight was Ken confronting Kim about her health and her wellness.
- 13:47Speaker 2: And this was a pretty crazy conversation because he straight
- 13:50Speaker 2: up just says, yeah, you're overweight. You're fucking fat.
- 13:54Speaker 1: You're not just chubby, you haven't just gotten a little fluffy.
- 14:00Speaker 1: But like, I think you're going to die.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Sorry, I honestly I think you're gonna die.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Like I worry about you dying. Yeah, because you put
- 14:07Speaker 1: on so much weight and you live an unhealthy lifestyle,
- 14:11Speaker 1: like you don't exercise. You keep saying that you're going
- 14:13Speaker 1: to make these changes, and you're not doing that at all.
- 14:16Speaker 1: And so I want to preface this convo with you
- 14:18Speaker 1: by saying that I think that within the scope of
- 14:21Speaker 1: the healthy relationship with someone that you love and who
- 14:24Speaker 1: loves you, like, if you're doing something in your life
- 14:27Speaker 1: that is detrimental and unhealthy and even toxic, it is
- 14:31Speaker 1: perfectly fair. And I would say, like I would hope
- 14:34Speaker 1: that the partner would bring that up with you and say, hey, look,
- 14:38Speaker 1: I noticed that you've been doing this lately, or that
- 14:41Speaker 1: I've seen these changes in you. I'm a bit concerned.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I think it's unhealthy. I think you need to go
- 14:46Speaker 1: to a doctor or whatever. Like, within a normal relationship,
- 14:49Speaker 1: I think people ought to hold their partner accountable. But
- 14:53Speaker 1: what happened with Kim and Ken didn't really feel that way.
- 14:58Speaker 1: It felt very one sign I did. It felt very
- 15:01Speaker 1: focused on Kim and what she's not doing. Meanwhile, according
- 15:05Speaker 1: to Veronica Peters, like he smokes like a chimney. He's
- 15:09Speaker 1: not in the best shape, He's a clear geriatric. Yet
- 15:13Speaker 1: what do you do for a job? What about the
- 15:15Speaker 1: kids that you're just enfranchised from? Like how healthy are you?
- 15:19Speaker 4: Ken?
- 15:20Speaker 1: So it just it rubbed me the wrong way. Beatrice.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Yeah, see, I don't really feel bad for Kim in
- 15:27Speaker 2: this segment because I'm just like, Kim, you kind of suck.
- 15:30Speaker 2: But I felt like this conversation was inappropriate. It was
- 15:34Speaker 2: inappropriate to have on camera also because again, if this
- 15:37Speaker 2: is like a healthy relationship, this is a private conversation
- 15:40Speaker 2: you have with your spouse. Sure of like, hey, I'm
- 15:42Speaker 2: noticing that you're engaging in some really unhealthy behavior, and
- 15:45Speaker 2: I'm worried about the longevity of you in our relationship
- 15:48Speaker 2: because I want to be with you forever. Like that's
- 15:51Speaker 2: fine and dandy, but to have it on camera felt
- 15:56Speaker 2: very weird to me. I was looking on Reddit to
- 15:58Speaker 2: see what other people's thoughts were about this conversation, and
- 16:02Speaker 2: some people brought up that it felt very scripted. So
- 16:06Speaker 2: maybe Kim was the one that wanted to have this conversation,
- 16:08Speaker 2: So yeah, kind of felt like that to me. Also,
- 16:11Speaker 2: people were bringing up that maybe this conversation was actually
- 16:14Speaker 2: about her alcoholism and not her fatness, because at one point,
- 16:20Speaker 2: I think Ken or she brought up going to bed
- 16:24Speaker 2: drinking wine every night and how that was unhealthy, and
- 16:28Speaker 2: so people were thinking or speculating that maybe this was
- 16:33Speaker 2: some weird attempt at like an intervention for her being
- 16:36Speaker 2: a drunk, and that a lot of that got edited
- 16:39Speaker 2: out or it got scripted into a way where it
- 16:41Speaker 2: was about her weight.
- 16:44Speaker 4: Instead of that.
- 16:45Speaker 2: And I don't know, I could see a conversation where
- 16:47Speaker 2: maybe Ken Palmer was like, you're drinking a lot, but.
- 16:51Speaker 1: He's drinking a lot, dull, he looks like an alcoholic too.
- 16:55Speaker 2: No, and that's the thing too, And like goes back
- 16:57Speaker 2: to your point of like, within the health the scope
- 16:59Speaker 2: of a healthy really relationship, it would be appropriate for
- 17:01Speaker 2: your spouse to like advocate for your health. And if
- 17:04Speaker 2: Ken was a bastion of health, if he was fit
- 17:09Speaker 2: and actually being healthy and like not smoking and like
- 17:13Speaker 2: could talk without slurring his words, like maybe it would
- 17:16Speaker 2: be more appropriate. But look in the mirror, dude, you
- 17:19Speaker 2: can't even like walk, And.
- 17:20Speaker 1: So there is like a bigger conversation to have around this,
- 17:26Speaker 1: which is why I think this pissed off so many people.
- 17:28Speaker 1: I mean, I imagine, I'm not I wasn't on reddit,
- 17:30Speaker 1: like looking at all the subreddits about this, but like
- 17:34Speaker 1: how women are so harshly judged, especially as they get older, yes,
- 17:39Speaker 1: and how men sort of sit in this superior place
- 17:42Speaker 1: where they think they can judge us. Meanwhile, you're aging
- 17:45Speaker 1: just as quickly, if not worse. Meanwhile, you're unemployed and
- 17:48Speaker 1: living in her house, which was given to her apparently
- 17:50Speaker 1: from an inheritance, which she owns outright, I think based
- 17:53Speaker 1: on what I have read, and she's subsidizing your entire life.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I think maybe you get some sort of a pension.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I don't know, but like you're living off of her
- 18:01Speaker 1: large ass. You're not large ass. I know her large ass,
- 18:07Speaker 1: like the things, the shit she has, he's living off
- 18:10Speaker 1: of that, yep. And so he's going to give her
- 18:13Speaker 1: an ultimatum to do even more to prove to him
- 18:18Speaker 1: that she's willing to be in this committed relationship. Well,
- 18:21Speaker 1: she's moved you into her house with her three minor children.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Right, And that's why I felt like this conversation was
- 18:28Speaker 2: a bit scripted, and I'm just like wondering why, like
- 18:31Speaker 2: why would Kim want to even have this conversation on camera, Like,
- 18:35Speaker 2: are you really that desperate for content?
- 18:38Speaker 1: It's because she's about to start a GLP one and
- 18:41Speaker 1: in the next season of Welcome to Platvill, she's going
- 18:43Speaker 1: to be thinner. And it's because she went on a
- 18:45Speaker 1: health and fitness journey because Ken gave her this ultimatum.
- 18:48Speaker 1: That's why I could see this is all a storyline
- 18:51Speaker 1: for the future.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Well, and also she's probably a bit jealous and bitter
- 18:55Speaker 2: that Barry has gone down this health and fitness journey
- 18:58Speaker 2: and he's straight up jacked and like he's juicing and
- 19:01Speaker 2: he's doing CrossFit and stuff, and he's going on dates
- 19:05Speaker 2: with skinny women, you know what I mean. So she's
- 19:08Speaker 2: probably like a little bit bitter too, and is like
- 19:12Speaker 2: self aware enough to be like, oh, this makes me
- 19:14Speaker 2: look bad. And you know, it's funny to me that
- 19:17Speaker 2: people on Reddit were like so up in arms about
- 19:19Speaker 2: this conversation because prior to this episode, everybody was talking
- 19:23Speaker 2: about how fucking fat Kim was, So I'm just like, Okay,
- 19:26Speaker 2: you can't have your cake and eat it too, you
- 19:27Speaker 2: know what I mean. But I do agree with you,
- 19:30Speaker 2: like within the like larger conversation of women are always
- 19:35Speaker 2: fat shained, women are always criticized for how they look. Meanwhile,
- 19:38Speaker 2: men are walking around with beer bellies and small PEPs
- 19:41Speaker 2: and no teeth, you know what I mean. And like
- 19:44Speaker 2: they're walking around like they're hot as shit. And then
- 19:47Speaker 2: they want women to be skinny, and they want them
- 19:49Speaker 2: to have a thigh gap, and they want them to
- 19:51Speaker 2: look a certain way, and they want them to look
- 19:53Speaker 2: young and pretty entight. Fuck that for sure. And to
- 19:57Speaker 2: Kim's credit, like she is somebody who is traumatized, She's
- 20:03Speaker 2: gone through a lot in her life. She's probably an
- 20:05Speaker 2: alcoholic and that's probably contributing to her.
- 20:09Speaker 1: They're probably alcoholics.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Yes, And so it's like I can feel for Kim
- 20:13Speaker 2: in that way, but Kim just kind of sucks as
- 20:15Speaker 2: a person, and so I'm just like, I don't have
- 20:17Speaker 2: a lot of sympathy for her, especially if she's the
- 20:20Speaker 2: one that scripted this whole conversation.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Yes, and if she did script this conversation, this is
- 20:26Speaker 1: the last thing I'll say before we should probably move
- 20:28Speaker 1: on because we could be here forever. But like if
- 20:29Speaker 1: she did script this conversation and plan it all out,
- 20:33Speaker 1: she actually did ken dirty totally to put him in
- 20:37Speaker 1: a conversation where he's got to be the one to
- 20:39Speaker 1: say this her because he looks like a bad guy
- 20:41Speaker 1: and everybody now hates him even more than they already
- 20:44Speaker 1: hated him because you cheated exactly with Kim while she
- 20:48Speaker 1: was married exactly.
- 20:50Speaker 2: So that was last week's episode. In this week's episode,
- 20:53Speaker 2: we have Kim arriving in Wisconsin because she drove up
- 20:58Speaker 2: there to basically check on e because he moved up
- 21:01Speaker 2: there on a whim, and also to bring him his
- 21:05Speaker 2: bullshit because I guess he packed up what he could
- 21:07Speaker 2: in his old man car and like left everything else
- 21:10Speaker 2: at home, and so she's bringing his like TV and
- 21:12Speaker 2: some of his clothes and like silverware and stuff that
- 21:15Speaker 2: he needs to like live. So when she arrives at
- 21:18Speaker 2: his rental house, it is barren, like he literally has nothing.
- 21:23Speaker 2: He has a shitty little two seater couch, he's got
- 21:27Speaker 2: like one chair, he has nothing in the cabinets. He's
- 21:30Speaker 2: sleeping on blankets on the floor and Kim arrives and
- 21:34Speaker 2: it's weird, like it's just an awkward vibe. Ethan is
- 21:38Speaker 2: obviously depressed and he's there to try and win back
- 21:41Speaker 2: this girl that wants nothing to do with him, and
- 21:43Speaker 2: Kim is trying, to her credit, to kind of connect
- 21:47Speaker 2: to him and like ask him about his relationship with
- 21:50Speaker 2: Teagan and like what are you guys right now? Like
- 21:53Speaker 2: are you friends? Are you working on things? Like what's
- 21:56Speaker 2: going on? And Ethan, of course, is not.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Safe answer her yep, doesn't say words.
- 22:03Speaker 2: She literally has to be like did you hear me?
- 22:05Speaker 1: He walks into the bedroom and shuts the door yep,
- 22:08Speaker 1: while she's standing outside of the bedroom.
- 22:10Speaker 2: While she's actively trying to talk to him. And Ethan's
- 22:13Speaker 2: excuse to the camera is that, you know, he knows
- 22:16Speaker 2: his mom is trying to connect with him and ask
- 22:18Speaker 2: him questions, but he doesn't want her to take the
- 22:22Speaker 2: information that he.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Gets her, right, He did say that.
- 22:25Speaker 2: He doesn't want her to gossip and spread it around
- 22:27Speaker 2: in the family and he wants to be respectful to
- 22:29Speaker 2: Teagan's feelings.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Which was interesting because of course we have Zach and
- 22:34Speaker 1: also Lydia saying from the sidelines that they don't necessarily
- 22:38Speaker 1: trust him not to tell their business and the business
- 22:41Speaker 1: of other people in the family, Like she's the one
- 22:43Speaker 1: that's sharing a lot of that sort to hear, Ethan
- 22:46Speaker 1: sort of echo that Yep was telling.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Well, and I think he learned from his relationship with
- 22:53Speaker 2: Olivia that that's kind of what Kim does, and especially
- 22:56Speaker 2: on this show, she does spreadshit around a lot. So
- 22:58Speaker 2: it's kind of funny that, like, you know, she doesn't
- 23:02Speaker 2: want her kids to say certain things publicly or share
- 23:05Speaker 2: certain stories, but she has no problem right saying whatever
- 23:09Speaker 2: she feels like, especially on camera. And so I do
- 23:12Speaker 2: understand that Ethan doesn't really want to get into too
- 23:15Speaker 2: many specifics.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Say something, but just say, like, we can talk about
- 23:18Speaker 1: this later, Mom, Yeah, you can use your words, right,
- 23:21Speaker 1: And that does not occur.
- 23:22Speaker 2: To him, and it's like, you're a whole adult, dude.
- 23:25Speaker 2: I don't understand why you can't just say something like that.
- 23:27Speaker 2: But no, he's just gonna slam the door in his
- 23:29Speaker 2: mom's face, I guess. And then Kim, you know, tries
- 23:32Speaker 2: to relate to him by talking about how many times
- 23:36Speaker 2: her and Ken have broken up and you know, you know,
- 23:39Speaker 2: the last time we broke up lasted a couple of
- 23:41Speaker 2: months and it was pretty hard, but like then we
- 23:43Speaker 2: realized that we loved each other and you know, we
- 23:45Speaker 2: got back together, so like maybe that that'll happen with
- 23:47Speaker 2: you and Taken. I'm like, Kim, let's not. Let's not
- 23:51Speaker 2: try to relate to your kid when you're talking about
- 23:53Speaker 2: this guy that you cheated on your husband with and
- 23:57Speaker 2: your multiple breakups.
- 23:58Speaker 4: Like miss me with that.
- 24:01Speaker 2: And then we shift gears. We go down to Florida
- 24:04Speaker 2: with Isaac and Kaylan. They're heading over to have pizza
- 24:09Speaker 2: and games with Zach and Lydia.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Snory dude, and they're so awkward.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Everybody's awkward.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Everyone is awkward. It was a strange encounter.
- 24:19Speaker 2: I'm embarrassed, Like they're playing like a couple's game. And
- 24:22Speaker 2: there's a question that's like, you know, if I was
- 24:25Speaker 2: a cowboy and I was a horse, who would ride who?
- 24:29Speaker 2: And I'm just like, why why do we got to
- 24:31Speaker 2: talk about this? Kaylin is laughing because she knows the implication,
- 24:35Speaker 2: but like the married virgin couple doesn't know. Isaac and
- 24:40Speaker 2: Kayleen are giggling and I'm just like stop it stop.
- 24:45Speaker 2: And there really wasn't like much in this segment really
- 24:49Speaker 2: other than discussing the Montana trip, and I just don't give.
- 24:53Speaker 1: A fuck, right, So Zach kind of goes out of
- 24:56Speaker 1: his way. He takes pains to let us snow once
- 24:59Speaker 1: again that he and Lydia were not invited to Montana
- 25:03Speaker 1: like everybody else, which is fine because they're busy and
- 25:06Speaker 1: they would not have been able to go. But they're
- 25:07Speaker 1: gonna go to Montana soon. But like you can tell
- 25:11Speaker 1: that they're actually but hurt about that totally, And I
- 25:14Speaker 1: wonder why, though, why weren't they invited? Is it because
- 25:17Speaker 1: nobody likes Zach?
- 25:19Speaker 2: Well, it sounds like they were invited last minute and
- 25:21Speaker 2: they just couldn't get the time off work or something.
- 25:24Speaker 2: But they're bitter about that because they're like, why didn't
- 25:27Speaker 2: you invite us sooner?
- 25:28Speaker 4: But I don't know.
- 25:29Speaker 2: I mean, I wouldn't have wanted to infind that.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Well, based on the preview, there's good reason not to
- 25:34Speaker 1: have them there.
- 25:34Speaker 2: They seem like annoying to be around, and they seem
- 25:37Speaker 2: weird to be around, like I don't I don't know.
- 25:39Speaker 1: They seem very judgmental and superior.
- 25:41Speaker 2: Super that and Isaac even makes a comment in this
- 25:45Speaker 2: episode about how like, you know, they've done really well
- 25:48Speaker 2: to try and reconcile after the marriage or after the
- 25:50Speaker 2: wedding where Isaac and Ethan acted very inappropriately and Isaac's like,
- 25:56Speaker 2: you know, I apologize for everything that I did wrong,
- 25:58Speaker 2: Like I own up to all of that. He makes
- 26:00Speaker 2: a weird statement where he says, you know, they've got
- 26:03Speaker 2: to work on some things themselves because they're very high
- 26:06Speaker 2: up on their stool. Yeah, so he's already like planting that,
- 26:10Speaker 2: like they're very high and mighty.
- 26:12Speaker 4: They're judging everybody.
- 26:14Speaker 2: And I'm not into that. Man, not into that at all.
- 26:17Speaker 1: And I can see it totally, especially in the car
- 26:19Speaker 1: ride which we're gonna get to girl totally.
- 26:23Speaker 2: And so then we go back to Wisconsin where we
- 26:25Speaker 2: have Ethan inviting Teagan over to see his rental house
- 26:28Speaker 2: and I'm just like.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Oh god, this whole scene.
- 26:31Speaker 2: This was so awkward. Yes, it was so painfully awkward,
- 26:35Speaker 2: Like I literally texted you today like I'm cringing so hard.
- 26:38Speaker 2: This is embarrassing. And Teagan shows up. She bangs on
- 26:42Speaker 2: the door multiple times because I guess Ethan didn't hear
- 26:44Speaker 2: her he was in the bathroom, and then she like
- 26:46Speaker 2: makes a snide comment about like I was waiting out
- 26:48Speaker 2: there forever. He's like, well, I was in the bathroom,
- 26:51Speaker 2: like chill out. And it's just weird because Ethan has
- 26:55Speaker 2: nothing in his house. There's literally there's not even a TV.
- 26:59Speaker 2: There's a little couch yeah, and what else?
- 27:03Speaker 1: Yeah? A box of brownie mix.
- 27:06Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 27:06Speaker 2: And they try to make brownies because you know, Ethan
- 27:09Speaker 2: knows Teagan loves brownies, so he bought all the ingredients
- 27:13Speaker 2: for the brownies, but was too stupid to get to
- 27:17Speaker 2: get measuring cups. So they can't even really make them
- 27:19Speaker 2: or I think they tried to.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Whatever. It's just awkward. Well, and Teagan doesn't want to help. No,
- 27:25Speaker 1: she's not being very engaging. She seems very stiff. She
- 27:31Speaker 1: also seems pretty judgmental. Yeah, as she's walking around his place,
- 27:35Speaker 1: you can see that in his own lame way, he's
- 27:38Speaker 1: trying to connect and to reach out to her and
- 27:41Speaker 1: engage her in conversation. But she's just like, so walls up,
- 27:46Speaker 1: Mary Brown. She's just like not having any of it.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I'm like, why are you there?
- 27:49Speaker 2: Then?
- 27:49Speaker 1: Why are why give him false hope? That's the thing
- 27:53Speaker 1: that's not nice to do. Just tell him straight up.
- 27:55Speaker 1: I'm not interested. I don't know why you moved here.
- 27:57Speaker 1: You shouldn't have done it.
- 27:58Speaker 4: That was stupid.
- 27:59Speaker 1: But you're a stupid and I don't want to have
- 28:01Speaker 1: anything to do with you. Just be honest.
- 28:04Speaker 2: That's what I don't understand. It's like, I wonder how
- 28:06Speaker 2: their conversation went when he announced to her a couple
- 28:09Speaker 2: episodes ago that he was planning to move back, because like,
- 28:12Speaker 2: why didn't you say then, Ethan, I don't want you back,
- 28:15Speaker 2: Like you can move here if you want, but I'm
- 28:18Speaker 2: never going to take you back. Like why didn't you
- 28:21Speaker 2: have that conversation? Why did you go to Montana? Why
- 28:25Speaker 2: are you going to.
- 28:26Speaker 4: Visit his house?
- 28:27Speaker 1: Well, but she didn't learn about him moving there till
- 28:30Speaker 1: he was there, right.
- 28:32Speaker 2: No, he like, drove up.
- 28:34Speaker 1: I need to tell he drove up. But then he
- 28:37Speaker 1: also leased the place and told her I'm living here now.
- 28:42Speaker 1: So that was her first time hearing it, Like she
- 28:44Speaker 1: didn't know that he was going to do that. He moved,
- 28:47Speaker 1: he got a house, and then he told her.
- 28:50Speaker 2: I thought it was he was going to look at places,
- 28:53Speaker 2: because didn't he drive up At one point He's like,
- 28:55Speaker 2: I'm gonna look at places.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Yeah, but that was the same time that he got
- 28:58Speaker 1: the flowers and then at the park.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:03Speaker 1: I feel like she was blindsided. She had no sure
- 29:06Speaker 1: idea what he was doing. He made the decision to
- 29:08Speaker 1: do that. It's been three weeks since they got back
- 29:12Speaker 1: from Montana. Yeah, she hasn't seen him. He hasn't called her.
- 29:15Speaker 2: She does the thing too.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Yeah, he hasn't called her. He hasn't like asked her
- 29:19Speaker 1: out on a day out or anything. This is the
- 29:21Speaker 1: first time he's reached out and she's been over So like,
- 29:24Speaker 1: what are you doing, Ethan?
- 29:26Speaker 2: And like Ethan in his like weird, stupid brain, He's like,
- 29:30Speaker 2: you know, she's probably thinking that I'm only going to
- 29:32Speaker 2: be here temporarily and so it doesn't mean much to
- 29:36Speaker 2: her right now. But you know, if she can see
- 29:39Speaker 2: that I'm here long term, maybe it'll change her mind
- 29:42Speaker 2: or something. And I'm like, dude, it's not gonna happen
- 29:44Speaker 2: because she's obviously going to get another boyfriend and not
- 29:47Speaker 2: be into you anymore.
- 29:48Speaker 1: I really wonder how long he makes it in Wisconsin.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Does anybody know?
- 29:52Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 29:53Speaker 1: Does he stay like an entire year he's still there?
- 29:56Speaker 1: Is he in Wisconsin right now? Or did he go
- 29:58Speaker 1: back to Georgia, because he talked about going back to Georgia.
- 30:01Speaker 2: He did, he did mention it, so I don't know.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Like she's sitting on his weird, stupid couch, he's sitting
- 30:06Speaker 2: on a chair. They're not saying anything to each other.
- 30:10Speaker 2: And then Kim comes in to kind of be the
- 30:13Speaker 2: buffer here because it's fucking awkward, and she's mainly there
- 30:18Speaker 2: to like talk to Teagan on camera, of course, but
- 30:21Speaker 2: she arrives and she's like, this is weird. Vibes are off,
- 30:26Speaker 2: it's awkward as hell. I think Ethan leaves to like
- 30:29Speaker 2: go to the store or something, or go to work
- 30:30Speaker 2: or whatever, and so then this is Kim's chance to
- 30:34Speaker 2: talk to Teagan. And I was actually glad that Kim
- 30:38Speaker 2: wasn't judgmental of Teagan in this moment, because I was
- 30:42Speaker 2: worried that she was going to be like a total
- 30:44Speaker 2: boy mom and be like, well, you broke his heart
- 30:47Speaker 2: or whatever. But she actually hears her out, and she
- 30:50Speaker 2: hears about what ultimately led to the demise of their
- 30:54Speaker 2: relationship and how Ethan just straight up fucking peeled off
- 30:57Speaker 2: and left, didn't turn his phone on, didn't contact her,
- 31:01Speaker 2: and Kim says, you know, I totally understand. I can't
- 31:05Speaker 2: blame Tegan for breaking.
- 31:06Speaker 4: Up with her.
- 31:07Speaker 2: I get it. And she kind of talks to her
- 31:10Speaker 2: about like the state of where they're at right now.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Teagan says that they're not even really friends. They're like
- 31:16Speaker 2: a step below that they're working towards friendship, and you know,
- 31:21Speaker 2: Kim says something like, you know, I'm a boy mom,
- 31:25Speaker 2: and sometimes my boys can pick bad women or whatever,
- 31:30Speaker 2: but like Isaac picked a good one and Ethan picked
- 31:33Speaker 2: a good one with you, like, you're a good girl,
- 31:35Speaker 2: and I just don't want you to think I think
- 31:38Speaker 2: anything bad of you. And Teagan was glad to hear that,
- 31:41Speaker 2: and it was just kind of like a whatever. Well.
- 31:43Speaker 1: I thought that Kim handled that well. I think that
- 31:47Speaker 1: it was great that she was able to see Teagan's position,
- 31:51Speaker 1: that she was able to agree with Tegan's position. She said,
- 31:55Speaker 1: Ethan has a lot of baggage. Yeah, and it comes
- 31:57Speaker 1: from his relationship and his marriage with a live He's
- 32:00Speaker 1: been through a lot and he really needs to get
- 32:03Speaker 1: his shit together and paraphrasing, obviously if he wants to
- 32:06Speaker 1: be in a relationship with anybody, not just tigging, but
- 32:09Speaker 1: like you gotta gear shit together. Yeah, gotta do something
- 32:11Speaker 1: about this, Ethan. You can't just go throughout the rest
- 32:14Speaker 1: of your life damaged by this one relationship and be broken.
- 32:18Speaker 1: That's not how it should work.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Yeah, And Kim also acknowledges with Teagan that Ethan is
- 32:23Speaker 2: a horrible, horrible communicator and doesn't say anything and he
- 32:27Speaker 2: needs to learn to be better about that. And then
- 32:30Speaker 2: I think Kim to the camera says that she thinks
- 32:33Speaker 2: Teagan needs to see more from Ethan than him just
- 32:37Speaker 2: moving here, like she needs to see growth and change
- 32:41Speaker 2: and an effort to communicate, of course, like a big
- 32:44Speaker 2: adult man. And obviously that this move is just Ethan
- 32:49Speaker 2: acting on emotion an impulse rather than logic, and sometimes
- 32:54Speaker 2: that can be a good thing, but sometimes it can
- 32:56Speaker 2: just bite you, an mass.
- 32:59Speaker 1: I keep going back to what Cayln said a few
- 33:02Speaker 1: episodes ago about Teagan, about how Ethan had done a
- 33:07Speaker 1: lot for Teagan, and that Teagan had done a couple
- 33:10Speaker 1: of things that Kaylin didn't necessarily agree with, and of
- 33:15Speaker 1: course she did not elaborate, but I really want to
- 33:18Speaker 1: know what those things are now. It might be absolutely nothing.
- 33:21Speaker 1: It could just be that Ethan after they broke up,
- 33:24Speaker 1: went back to his family and talked shit about her
- 33:27Speaker 1: and all the things that she supposedly did wrong when
- 33:29Speaker 1: she really did nothing wrong. Because the way Teagan explains
- 33:32Speaker 1: it is that she prioritized Ethan like he was important
- 33:37Speaker 1: to her, and she did whatever she could to be
- 33:39Speaker 1: in this relationship, and Ethan also prioritized Ethan, and so
- 33:44Speaker 1: after a period of time, it's just she's got to
- 33:47Speaker 1: choose herself. Yeah, So I just really want to know
- 33:49Speaker 1: if there's something else there that Teagan did or that
- 33:53Speaker 1: contributed to this. I wish they would tell the viewers
- 33:56Speaker 1: because we're just left here wondering. Obviously, Ethan is weird. Yeah,
- 34:01Speaker 1: he's not an ideal partner, but like, what's the whole story?
- 34:04Speaker 1: I feel like we're missing something, do you?
- 34:07Speaker 2: I agree, yes, And I'm really curious what Caylen even
- 34:11Speaker 2: meant by that, because as it is right now, I
- 34:15Speaker 2: am siding with Teagan, of course, and it's like I
- 34:18Speaker 2: think Ethan was a piece of shit, you know what
- 34:20Speaker 2: I mean. And Teagan is also being pretty careful with
- 34:24Speaker 2: the way that she is talking about like their breakup,
- 34:27Speaker 2: Like she's not talking shit about Ethan, She's not even
- 34:30Speaker 2: really being mean to him when she very well could
- 34:32Speaker 2: be and has a right to be mean to him
- 34:35Speaker 2: with how he treated her, But she's being very respectful
- 34:38Speaker 2: and very like, you know, I have love for him,
- 34:41Speaker 2: I'm not in love with him right now, and like
- 34:44Speaker 2: I can see that he's hurting, but I'm just doing
- 34:47Speaker 2: me and I'm living my life like she is being
- 34:49Speaker 2: very kind about it, whereas other people on the show,
- 34:55Speaker 2: right were always the kindest after the breakups and stuff,
- 34:59Speaker 2: and so I don't know, I'm at this point. I'm
- 35:02Speaker 2: kind of like, Ethan, you squandered this, absolutely fucked this up,
- 35:06Speaker 2: and we know that she's moved on.
- 35:08Speaker 1: I don't know what he's doing. If he's dating. I mean,
- 35:10Speaker 1: wouldn't it be a wonderful world if he actually got
- 35:13Speaker 1: some therapy and tried to work on himself before he
- 35:15Speaker 1: entered into another relationship. But he's not going to mm mmm.
- 35:19Speaker 2: And I saw some things on Facebook that I can't
- 35:22Speaker 2: tell if they're true or not, because Facebook is just
- 35:25Speaker 2: a bunch of AI slopped most of the time. But
- 35:27Speaker 2: there were some photos going around of Ethan seen in
- 35:31Speaker 2: public with another blonde haired girl, and some people were
- 35:35Speaker 2: thinking that it was probably Mariah or something. But I'm like,
- 35:38Speaker 2: is Ethan already dating? Because if he be surprised, I'm
- 35:43Speaker 2: just like, dude, you need therapy and you need to
- 35:44Speaker 2: like be single for a while before you jump into
- 35:48Speaker 2: another relationship.
- 35:49Speaker 1: There are so many unhealed people out there just jumping
- 35:52Speaker 1: from relationship to relationship and yep, not understanding that they
- 35:55Speaker 1: are the whole and.
- 35:57Speaker 4: Entire problem exactly.
- 35:59Speaker 2: Meanwhile, t get over here going to New York with
- 36:01Speaker 2: her new boyfriend.
- 36:02Speaker 1: It's life, Go get a girl.
- 36:05Speaker 2: And I'm just wondering if Ethan is just but hurt
- 36:07Speaker 2: by it. He probably is, I hope, so you know whatever,
- 36:12Speaker 2: Then we go, must we to a wellness center? Oh lord,
- 36:17Speaker 2: sauna Zach and Plath, Daddy, Barry Plath. And I'm just like, why,
- 36:25Speaker 2: I don't care about the compression socks. I don't care
- 36:27Speaker 2: about the jiggling. I don't care about the sauna. I
- 36:30Speaker 2: don't care at all.
- 36:31Speaker 1: I don't want to talk about how he's gonna date
- 36:34Speaker 1: the matchmaker. We've been over this, Barry, We've talked about it.
- 36:38Speaker 1: It's a nothing burger. I did have a vibration of
- 36:43Speaker 1: It's kind of nice seeing the camaraderie between Barry and Zach.
- 36:48Speaker 1: They had sort of a funny relationship and I thought
- 36:51Speaker 1: I got it both awkward. Yeah, I thought it was sweet.
- 36:54Speaker 1: And that's as far as I'm gonna go because I
- 36:57Speaker 1: was so bored.
- 36:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I really don't care about this segment at all.
- 37:01Speaker 2: The only thing that was funny to me was when
- 37:04Speaker 2: Barry was joking with Zach about being called the plath Daddy,
- 37:07Speaker 2: and Zach's like, I am never calling you. And I
- 37:10Speaker 2: like seeing Barry giggle because he has kind.
- 37:13Speaker 4: Of like a sweet robotic and they both do together.
- 37:16Speaker 1: They totally have a neat little friendship that I liked.
- 37:19Speaker 2: Yeah, and it was fine, And it's because they're both
- 37:21Speaker 2: too awkward, weird, they're very similar.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Yes, Yes.
- 37:23Speaker 2: The only thing about this segment is that it kind
- 37:26Speaker 2: of segues into talking about Lydia and Kim's relationship. Barry
- 37:32Speaker 2: and Zach talk about it because Zach says Lydia's still
- 37:37Speaker 2: having some issues with Kim because she's not as emotionally
- 37:41Speaker 2: involved as she would want her to be. Apparently, according
- 37:44Speaker 2: to Zach, Kim only calls Lydia when she needs something.
- 37:48Speaker 2: She doesn't ever really call her just to call her
- 37:50Speaker 2: or ask about her day or ask about Lydia's world
- 37:54Speaker 2: and that is hurting Lydia's feelings. Barry acknowledges that Kim
- 37:59Speaker 2: is no emotionally involved whatsoever, but he hopes that they
- 38:02Speaker 2: can work on it. And while they're at the wellness center,
- 38:08Speaker 2: Zach and Lydia actually got to go to Montana. They
- 38:11Speaker 2: visited Mariah, and then Zach flew back home to go
- 38:16Speaker 2: to the Sawna with Barry, and Lydia flew back to
- 38:20Speaker 2: Wisconsin to visit with Ethan and then ultimately drive back
- 38:24Speaker 2: home with Kim.
- 38:26Speaker 1: While they're at the wellness center and having the conversation
- 38:29Speaker 1: about Kim and Lydia, Zach does allude to the accident
- 38:34Speaker 1: with Joshua. Yes, he doesn't come right out and say it,
- 38:37Speaker 1: but Barry says, oh, you're talking about Joshua, and he
- 38:42Speaker 1: makes the connection that Kim's emotional unavailability may be connected
- 38:49Speaker 1: to that, and he says not in the present day,
- 38:52Speaker 1: it's not like Kim is walking around wounded about it.
- 38:55Speaker 1: But maybe underneath it all, underneath the layers, there's like
- 38:58Speaker 1: something in there where she hasn't healed, it's unresolved, and
- 39:03Speaker 1: that could be causing the disconnect. Between certainly her and
- 39:07Speaker 1: Lydia and maybe other members of the family, which is astute, yeah,
- 39:11Speaker 1: and which I think could be true.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Sure it felt scripted to me though, I'm like, why
- 39:16Speaker 2: are we bringing up Joshua as like a way to
- 39:19Speaker 2: kind of excuse Kim's emotional bad mothering and bad mothering, right, Like,
- 39:26Speaker 2: we don't need to do that. And so then we
- 39:28Speaker 2: shift back to Kim and Lydia who are driving back
- 39:32Speaker 2: home from Wisconsin, and this is kind of where we
- 39:34Speaker 2: end the episode, but we start off with this like
- 39:37Speaker 2: weird interaction with them in the car. At one point,
- 39:42Speaker 2: Kim brings up or shows a photo of a bong
- 39:47Speaker 2: that they found in the barn on their property or whatever,
- 39:51Speaker 2: and Kim explains what it is to Lydia, because you know,
- 39:55Speaker 2: she's so innocent and godly and she would never be
- 39:59Speaker 2: dared to even witness or acknowledge the presence.
- 40:03Speaker 4: Of a bong.
- 40:04Speaker 1: So she's looking at the image, she doesn't know what
- 40:06Speaker 1: it is. Kim tells her, Oh, it's a bong. Yeah,
- 40:10Speaker 1: you use a bong in order to smoke weed. There's
- 40:13Speaker 1: another way you can smoke weed, which is like with
- 40:15Speaker 1: something called a doobie. It's so stupid. But you can
- 40:18Speaker 1: see Lydia's face in the moment transform from sort of
- 40:23Speaker 1: her normal soft kind of expression to an absolutely judgmental expression.
- 40:28Speaker 1: She's like, and why are we talking about this right now?
- 40:31Speaker 4: How did we even get on this subject?
- 40:32Speaker 1: How did we get on this subject? I was like,
- 40:34Speaker 1: whoa rude? So next week when we've got family members
- 40:38Speaker 1: talking about how judgmental they are, Like, I can see
- 40:41Speaker 1: it right in this moment that Lydia does have that
- 40:44Speaker 1: superior Christian attitude totally.
- 40:47Speaker 2: And it was when Kim was explaining what it was about, like,
- 40:50Speaker 2: this is a bong. People use it to smoke pot. Oh.
- 40:52Speaker 2: I smoked pot a couple times in college, but it's
- 40:55Speaker 2: nothing to brag home about, Like I've never done it since.
- 40:58Speaker 2: And this bong that I'm showing you and this picture
- 41:01Speaker 2: is not mine, just so you know. But like, Lydia
- 41:04Speaker 2: is already sticking her nose in the air, judging the
- 41:07Speaker 2: fuck out of Kim, and I think she's kind of
- 41:09Speaker 2: assuming that it probably was Kim's bong or something, because
- 41:13Speaker 2: Kim is acting like this was found on the property,
- 41:16Speaker 2: like so somebody who had lived your prime previous.
- 41:20Speaker 1: It was found in the barn.
- 41:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:22Speaker 1: I have been telling you season after season after season,
- 41:25Speaker 1: where does Kim go to drink her vodka? Where does
- 41:30Speaker 1: Kim go to eat her m and ms while she's
- 41:32Speaker 1: starving her kids of sugar? And where does Kim go
- 41:35Speaker 1: apparently to take a hit off that bong? It's the barn?
- 41:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 41:39Speaker 1: Do we think that it's Kim's bong?
- 41:41Speaker 2: I'm kind of I kind of do. I'm kind of
- 41:43Speaker 2: thinking it is. And Kim is just pretending like it's
- 41:45Speaker 2: not because she's feeling judged so harshly by Lydia in
- 41:49Speaker 2: this moment, but it was just awkward. And then at
- 41:53Speaker 2: some point we get on the subject about Joshua and
- 41:57Speaker 2: Kim tells us that I guess Lydia went online and
- 42:01Speaker 2: I was trying to find this video. I was trying
- 42:04Speaker 2: to find where Lydia talked about this, but apparently Lydia
- 42:07Speaker 2: went online. She did some kind of live or whatever
- 42:10Speaker 2: where she talked about Joshua's death, and in Kim's words,
- 42:14Speaker 2: Lydia went online to cry about Joshua, which I felt
- 42:17Speaker 2: was kind of dismissive, dismissive and rude. But Lydia went
- 42:23Speaker 2: online said some things about Joshua and his death and
- 42:27Speaker 2: then made some inappropriate speculations about how Joshua's death affected
- 42:32Speaker 2: not only Kim, but Kim and Barry's marriage and the
- 42:35Speaker 2: rest of the family. And in Kim's opinion, she didn't
- 42:39Speaker 2: feel like Lydia had a right to do that or
- 42:42Speaker 2: should have said any of those things publicly. And so
- 42:45Speaker 2: Kim is telling us as the viewers, that she's not
- 42:48Speaker 2: really happy with the fact that Lydia brought all this up.
- 42:51Speaker 2: But in the car when they're talking about it, you know,
- 42:54Speaker 2: Lydia says something like, I feel like we didn't have
- 42:58Speaker 2: the right tools, were equipped to deal with Joshua's death,
- 43:03Speaker 2: Like I didn't know how to really talk about it.
- 43:05Speaker 2: I felt like we couldn't really talk about it in
- 43:07Speaker 2: the family, And Kim says something like.
- 43:11Speaker 1: I didn't have the tools. I didn't have, I wasn't equipped,
- 43:14Speaker 1: And she said it took her a year to be
- 43:16Speaker 1: able to even talk about it at all after the death,
- 43:19Speaker 1: so she was unable to help her children with that,
- 43:22Speaker 1: which she acknowledges. And I don't remember when it was
- 43:25Speaker 1: in this most recent episode, but she is trying to
- 43:27Speaker 1: make the connection between what happened how she shut down
- 43:31Speaker 1: and how that impacted her children. And she even says,
- 43:34Speaker 1: as she's talking to the camera, I realize I hurt
- 43:36Speaker 1: my kids. Yeah, and that's the hardest part of all
- 43:40Speaker 1: is knowing the impact on my children based on what
- 43:43Speaker 1: happened with Joshua. And you know what, I feel that
- 43:47Speaker 1: from Kim, and I believe that when she's speaking about it.
- 43:52Speaker 1: I think it makes perfect sense to me that she
- 43:57Speaker 1: went through something as traumatic as the death of Joshua,
- 44:02Speaker 1: which she is responsible for. She didn't mean it, obviously,
- 44:06Speaker 1: but she was the one driving the car that ran
- 44:08Speaker 1: over Joshua. And of course that would change you for
- 44:12Speaker 1: the rest of your life. But meanwhile, you have two
- 44:15Speaker 1: thousand other children that you have to homeschool and deprive
- 44:19Speaker 1: of sugar, and so you have to put on your
- 44:21Speaker 1: game face and you've got to tamp it all down
- 44:24Speaker 1: and you can't sit in the bottomless pain of that.
- 44:28Speaker 1: I can't even imagine as a mother, Yeah, for sure,
- 44:31Speaker 1: I can't even imagine the bottomless pain of having to
- 44:36Speaker 1: sit with what happened because of you. Yeah, and so, yeah,
- 44:41Speaker 1: she wasn't equipped to take care of herself. She probably
- 44:44Speaker 1: never did, and she certainly wasn't equipped to help her children.
- 44:48Speaker 1: And I just want to comment regarding Lydia getting up
- 44:51Speaker 1: on a live and sharing her perspective. She is one
- 44:54Speaker 1: hundred percent entitled to do that. That's Lydia's story too. Yes,
- 44:59Speaker 1: every he was impacted by that. And just because Kim,
- 45:03Speaker 1: you're still dealing with guilt and shame around that doesn't
- 45:06Speaker 1: mean that the other people around you aren't trying to
- 45:09Speaker 1: work through this, put some words on it, witness it,
- 45:12Speaker 1: and process it. It's a good thing Lydia did that.
- 45:15Speaker 1: She I don't think she did that for clout.
- 45:17Speaker 4: No, I'm sure she.
- 45:18Speaker 1: Didn't do that like for fame. I think she's talking
- 45:21Speaker 1: about a very deep issue for her. Yes, that's wounded
- 45:25Speaker 1: her that she's healing from, and that's a good thing.
- 45:28Speaker 2: I agree. And that was like my issue with this
- 45:30Speaker 2: is that, you know, Kim is saying all this stuff
- 45:32Speaker 2: about how she understands that it was hard on her
- 45:36Speaker 2: kids and she understands that she wasn't there for them
- 45:38Speaker 2: and didn't give them the tools and stuff to talk
- 45:40Speaker 2: about Joshua, but at the same time is upset that
- 45:44Speaker 2: Lydia even had the goal to talk about it publicly
- 45:48Speaker 2: and to make speculations and like, you know, Lydia was
- 45:51Speaker 2: a kid when this happened. She was really young, but
- 45:55Speaker 2: she could still witness the damage that it caused, not
- 45:59Speaker 2: only to her but to her parents, to her mom.
- 46:02Speaker 2: Like she can still witness that and perceive that and
- 46:04Speaker 2: still comment about that, Like she as an adult, is
- 46:07Speaker 2: allowed to say these things. And that's why I was
- 46:09Speaker 2: trying to find where this video was because I wanted.
- 46:13Speaker 1: To know you probably told her to take it down.
- 46:15Speaker 1: I'm wonder after his conversation, maybe she took it down.
- 46:17Speaker 2: And I was like looking on Reddit and like nobody
- 46:19Speaker 2: was talking about it.
- 46:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't remember anybody mentioning this.
- 46:22Speaker 2: No, not at all. So if anybody has any kind
- 46:25Speaker 2: of like physical evidence about this conversation of what Lydia
- 46:30Speaker 2: talked about, police, send us a DM or something, because
- 46:33Speaker 2: I want to know what exactly Lydia said that made.
- 46:36Speaker 4: Kim so upset.
- 46:37Speaker 2: But Kim in this episode says Lydia even bringing this
- 46:40Speaker 2: up opened up the wound again for her, and I'm like, well, yeah,
- 46:45Speaker 2: it's a wound for everyone.
- 46:46Speaker 1: Of the situation. Have you ever heard the saying that
- 46:50Speaker 1: you're only as sick as your secrets? So there's a
- 46:53Speaker 1: part of this that Kim is trying to keep secret
- 46:57Speaker 1: and it's making her sick, and it connects back to
- 47:00Speaker 1: what Ken is trying to show her in that conversation.
- 47:03Speaker 1: It connects back to what Kim herself is telling us
- 47:06Speaker 1: about herself and how she realizes like she's in a
- 47:09Speaker 1: bad spot with her physicality and with all of it.
- 47:11Speaker 1: Like you're only as sick as your secrets. You have
- 47:14Speaker 1: a problem when Lydia is speaking out or when Olivia
- 47:17Speaker 1: was speaking out about what you did with the money
- 47:19Speaker 1: and all of the control issues because you want to
- 47:22Speaker 1: hide it. And so more power to Lydia. Honestly, now,
- 47:26Speaker 1: I don't like aspects of what we're seeing with Lydia
- 47:29Speaker 1: and Zach. I think that's a Zach influence. But as
- 47:32Speaker 1: far as this is concerned, more power to Lydia.
- 47:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree, And like you have to be able
- 47:37Speaker 2: to talk about these kinds of things, and like I
- 47:39Speaker 2: can understand from the parent side, like if Lydia was
- 47:42Speaker 2: saying some things that were critical about Kim and about
- 47:46Speaker 2: Barry and about their parenting and about how they handled this,
- 47:49Speaker 2: I can understand as a parent being like almost offended
- 47:52Speaker 2: or like insecure about that being like oh, well, like
- 47:55Speaker 2: I thought, I did the best that I could because
- 47:57Speaker 2: it is hurting too.
- 47:58Speaker 1: But that's her story, that her life, that's her perspective.
- 48:01Speaker 1: She's entitled to.
- 48:02Speaker 2: That exactly, And as a parent, you have to be
- 48:04Speaker 2: able to sit in the way of all of that
- 48:06Speaker 2: because it's not easy, and every parent makes mistakes, every
- 48:09Speaker 2: parent fugs up. It's just the nature of life. And
- 48:13Speaker 2: you know, to Kim's credit, at the end of this episode,
- 48:16Speaker 2: she does say she feels bad that Lydia feels more
- 48:21Speaker 2: comfortable to open up to the Internet than to her.
- 48:24Speaker 2: But it's like, well, Kim, this is the bed that
- 48:27Speaker 2: you made, Like this is how you parented your kids.
- 48:30Speaker 2: You didn't cultivate an environment where they could talk to
- 48:33Speaker 2: you about anything. And I don't even know if it
- 48:35Speaker 2: was all like in a malicious way, like in a
- 48:39Speaker 2: sense of like Kim got mad at her kids for
- 48:41Speaker 2: talking about it. I just think that this is how
- 48:43Speaker 2: their family was. They just never talked about shit, They
- 48:46Speaker 2: never talked about anything hard. They just swept everything under
- 48:48Speaker 2: the rugs and acted like everything was okay.
- 48:51Speaker 1: And now you have an Ethan and now you have
- 48:53Speaker 1: a Lydia. Even in this moment in the car. When
- 48:56Speaker 1: she's answering Kim, she's stamm she's flubbing up her words.
- 49:01Speaker 1: I'm like, what are you saying? Like you're not making
- 49:03Speaker 1: any sense. I think I know what you're trying to say,
- 49:05Speaker 1: but like you can't communicate either.
- 49:07Speaker 2: No nobody can. And like you have Mariah running off
- 49:09Speaker 2: to Montana, you have Micah being no contact basically and
- 49:14Speaker 2: not wanting to be a part of the show and
- 49:16Speaker 2: just living his own life. And even Hosannah, like where's Hosannah?
- 49:19Speaker 1: Who's Hosannah?
- 49:21Speaker 2: Like there's still this eldest child that wants nothing to
- 49:25Speaker 2: do with the show and probably the family, and so
- 49:28Speaker 2: like this is what you created is so now you're
- 49:30Speaker 2: gonna have to.
- 49:31Speaker 4: Deal with it.
- 49:31Speaker 2: Yep. But I don't think Kim's dealing with it. I
- 49:33Speaker 2: think she's drinking her problems away. That's just my opinion.
- 49:37Speaker 2: And so in the preview for next week, we're going
- 49:40Speaker 2: to continue this conversation between Kim and Lydia in the car,
- 49:44Speaker 2: which I do look forward to hearing more about. Kim
- 49:48Speaker 2: also says in the preview that Zach and Lydia don't
- 49:52Speaker 2: seem to see a problem with them going to other
- 49:57Speaker 2: people and telling them how they should live their life
- 50:00Speaker 2: and trying to correct their behavior.
- 50:02Speaker 4: And I'm just like, oh my god.
- 50:03Speaker 1: Can you believe it?
- 50:05Speaker 2: Oh, I can't believe these little towrps have not even
- 50:08Speaker 2: been married a year and they're already lecturing people there
- 50:11Speaker 2: and that's early. Yep, this is wild. We have Barry
- 50:14Speaker 2: going on a blind date with some skinny blonde chick
- 50:16Speaker 2: nobody cares. And then we have this conversation between Isaac,
- 50:20Speaker 2: Ethan and Kim where Isaac actually says when Zach was
- 50:25Speaker 2: in Montana, he would only talk with the girls. He
- 50:28Speaker 2: didn't want to talk with anybody else, and he was
- 50:30Speaker 2: telling Mariah.
- 50:32Speaker 1: He would only talk to the girls when Isaac wasn't there.
- 50:35Speaker 2: Oh, was that what it was?
- 50:36Speaker 1: That's what it was. Isaac would go somewhere and then
- 50:38Speaker 1: he would talk to the girls, which is interesting because
- 50:43Speaker 1: Isaac would stick up for his sisters and his girlfriend
- 50:47Speaker 1: for sure, and is very protective of his family. So
- 50:50Speaker 1: Zach waits for Isaac to leave and then starts lecturing
- 50:54Speaker 1: Mariah uh huh on what she plays in terms of music,
- 50:58Speaker 1: the things that she has in her house and how
- 51:00Speaker 1: it's inappropriate, et cetera.
- 51:02Speaker 2: Yikes, And when Isaac is telling this to Ethan and Kim.
- 51:06Speaker 2: Ethan is getting mad just listening to that, and Kim
- 51:09Speaker 2: is like, well, then let's fucking talk to them. So
- 51:11Speaker 2: we're gonna have a family intervention.
- 51:14Speaker 1: I love that good. I just for me. It's a
- 51:18Speaker 1: personal issue, like the hypocrisy of some Christians, and it's
- 51:22Speaker 1: not just Christians. It's like a lot of religions, but
- 51:25Speaker 1: like it's my paradigm, so like I can.
- 51:28Speaker 4: Speak to it.
- 51:28Speaker 1: But Jesus said, do not judge. Jesus said, don't worry
- 51:34Speaker 1: about the speck in your brother's eye when you got
- 51:36Speaker 1: a big old redwood up in your eye. And then
- 51:38Speaker 1: you say that to a Christian and they're like, yes,
- 51:40Speaker 1: but Paul says you have to righteously judge. I'm don't judge.
- 51:43Speaker 1: Paul's not Jesus. Paul claims to have met Jesus on
- 51:46Speaker 1: the road to Damascus. I mean, and you can believe
- 51:48Speaker 1: that or not or whatever, but like, what did Jesus
- 51:50Speaker 1: say about that? He said, don't judge, period. Yeah, there
- 51:53Speaker 1: wasn't anything else about that. Christians can't seem to get
- 51:56Speaker 1: that through their head that they're not supposed to sit
- 51:58Speaker 1: in judgment of other people like that's a that's an
- 52:00Speaker 1: actual antichrist sin. But you've got Christians like Zach and
- 52:05Speaker 1: Lydia who are like zeygots, no worldly experience, purporting to
- 52:09Speaker 1: try and tell other people how to live their life. Obviously,
- 52:12Speaker 1: I'm triggered. I just hate that so much.
- 52:14Speaker 2: I hate it too because I've always made that argument
- 52:17Speaker 2: too to other Christians, because you know, I'm a resident gay, right,
- 52:20Speaker 2: so I'm always getting judged from Christian people, you know,
- 52:22Speaker 2: like you're living in sin and you're blah, and I'm like, okay, but.
- 52:27Speaker 1: Jesus never spoke about homosexuality.
- 52:29Speaker 2: No, he did not. And also, why are you judging
- 52:32Speaker 2: other people? Why do you sit on this high horse
- 52:35Speaker 2: and look down on people and be like I live
- 52:38Speaker 2: the right way, I live the godly way, and like
- 52:40Speaker 2: I'm just going to be inappropriate because this is the
- 52:42Speaker 2: end of the episode right now. But I texted you today,
- 52:45Speaker 2: I'm like, Lydia, why are you judging people when you're
- 52:48Speaker 2: married to the chase man I've ever seen in my life?
- 52:50Speaker 2: Why are you judging people when you live with this
- 52:55Speaker 2: marriage with this guy who's like telling you what to do?
- 52:57Speaker 2: And I don't know the fact that he was like
- 52:59Speaker 2: only to talking to girls when Isaac was not around.
- 53:02Speaker 2: I'm just like, why because they're as.
- 53:06Speaker 1: Because Isaac will get triggered because Isaac got into a
- 53:08Speaker 1: fight with Micah because Micah didn't check his girl. And
- 53:12Speaker 1: so if Isaac is there and Lydia is not checking
- 53:14Speaker 1: her man, he's going to do something about it. And
- 53:16Speaker 1: guess what. Zach is not going to come out the
- 53:19Speaker 1: victor in that particular fight. It's going to be Isaac.
- 53:22Speaker 1: He knows that typical Christian misogyny, and so he's waiting
- 53:26Speaker 1: for Isaac to leave and then he's going to start
- 53:28Speaker 1: lecturing the girls. Just give me five minutes with that boy, Dude,
- 53:30Speaker 1: give five minutes. It's not even that I know more
- 53:33Speaker 1: scripture than all of these people put together. It's just
- 53:36Speaker 1: like so hip a critical really is.
- 53:40Speaker 2: And now Lydia and Zach are moving to Colorado. They've
- 53:42Speaker 2: left Caro, and people on Reddit are like, oh my god, yay,
- 53:46Speaker 2: Lydia is away from her toxic family. But I'm just like, okay, great,
- 53:49Speaker 2: now she's gonna be with Zach's judge Christian lady's family.
- 53:55Speaker 1: She's going to be isolated. Okay, great, Yeah, see what
- 54:00Speaker 1: happens in ten years, Lydia like where you're going to.
- 54:02Speaker 4: Be, Yeah, hopefully not married.
- 54:04Speaker 1: It's hopefully not married, hopefully like living your best sexual life.
- 54:07Speaker 1: You seem to like sex a lot, and every time
- 54:09Speaker 1: you mention it, like, Zach seems disgusted. In fact, and
- 54:12Speaker 1: we didn't even talk about it because when they had
- 54:14Speaker 1: the little social event with Zach and Lydia and Isaac
- 54:19Speaker 1: and Kaylin and they're playing their game, Isaac tells us
- 54:22Speaker 1: that in the first week of Lydia and Zach's marriage,
- 54:26Speaker 1: they broke the bed, so they must have been fucking
- 54:28Speaker 1: a lot. But then we get the to the camera
- 54:31Speaker 1: interview with Zach and Lydia, and Lydia's like, yeah, I
- 54:35Speaker 1: was going in for a kiss. I was leaning into
- 54:38Speaker 1: him and he fell and we fell onto the bed
- 54:41Speaker 1: and it broke. And I'm just imagining that, like she
- 54:45Speaker 1: leans in because she wants to kiss him or do
- 54:48Speaker 1: whatever sexually with him, and he literally jumps away, I know,
- 54:52Speaker 1: so hard that he breaks the bed. That's all I
- 54:55Speaker 1: got from that.
- 54:55Speaker 2: That's what I got too. But of course Isaac and
- 54:58Speaker 2: Kaylin just think they were fucked or whatever, and they're
- 55:01Speaker 2: giggling about it. And Isaac's like, you know, being a brother,
- 55:03Speaker 2: and He's like, I don't want to know how they
- 55:05Speaker 2: broke the bed. I'm just gonna fix it for him
- 55:07Speaker 2: because I'm a good brother and.
- 55:08Speaker 1: He broke it pulling away from his wife. Yeah, like
- 55:11Speaker 1: just think about that.
- 55:12Speaker 2: Well, and in that couple's game, I forgot to mention too.
- 55:14Speaker 2: One of the biggest things that they argue about is
- 55:17Speaker 2: when to have babies. And it's because Zach doesn't want
- 55:19Speaker 2: to have babies right now, but Lydia does.
- 55:21Speaker 1: Because it requires penis and vagina sex.
- 55:24Speaker 2: It requires him coming in vagina.
- 55:26Speaker 1: Sorry, we gotta go. My sciatica is singing. I'm getting inappropriate. Like,
- 55:31Speaker 1: it's just so many red flags yet flag in for totally. Well, Beatrice,
- 55:36Speaker 1: this was fun. Is there anything else that we should
- 55:39Speaker 1: say to these beautiful raccoons before we get up on
- 55:41Speaker 1: out of here.
- 55:42Speaker 2: Well, if you love our podcast, please do us a

- 55:52Speaker 1: Just a disclaimer, I'm a Christian and if I offended anybody,
- 55:56Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I'm just talking about the things that Jesus
- 55:58Speaker 1: himself railed against when he talked about organized religion.
- 56:02Speaker 4: That's all.
- 56:03Speaker 1: Sometimes it just get upset, Sorry if I triggered. Anybody
- 56:05Speaker 1: is nothing but love over here. We're gonna be back
