- 0:15Ladies and gentlemen, your host, my dad, Angel Santana.
- 0:22Two thousand came and the spark was lit. A testimony raw, it wouldn't quit.
- 0:27His mother's voice, a guiding thread.
- 0:55Hello, everyone, and welcome back to another episode of Have Faith,
- 0:58Let It Begin. It's a Tuesday, and this is Real Faith Week. My name is your host, Angel Santana.
- 1:04And reminder that we are closing in on our nine-year anniversary on June 16th.
- 1:08We will talk to you more about that as those days get closer and closer.
- 1:12Today, we're going to be referencing a scripture from Matthew 11, verse 28.
- 1:18Today's title is called, I Smile, But I'm Tired. Let's get started.
- 1:23Well, as we come back to another episode of Half Faith, Let It Begin,
- 1:28this is day two of that Real Faith Week.
- 1:30And today, I want to talk to you about something I think a lot of people are
- 1:35feeling right now, but not saying out loud, and that's exhaustion.
- 1:41Not just physical exhaustion, emotional exhaustion.
- 1:44The kind where you're smiling Showing up Doing what you have to do But deep down, you're tired,
- 1:54You know, there's a thing called the hidden exhaustion I think a lot of people
- 1:58have become experts at hiding how they really feel,
- 2:02Your answer I'm good.
- 2:06Even when you're not. You keep moving, keep working, keep helping everyone else.
- 2:12Meanwhile, your mind is tired. Your heart is tired. Your spirit is tired.
- 2:18And the hard part is people don't always notice emotional exhaustion because
- 2:25you can still function while silently struggling.
- 2:32You can still laugh Still post online Still go to work And still feel completely drained inside,
- 2:43And truthfully, I think social media made this harder Because now everybody
- 2:49feels pressure to look okay all the time To look successful,
- 2:54happy, motivated Meanwhile, some people are barely holding themselves together
- 3:00And maybe that's you today.
- 3:03Maybe nobody knows how things are or how things have felt lately.
- 3:09Maybe you've been carrying pressure quietly, trying to stay strong for everybody else.
- 3:17Jesus never asked you to pretend, by the way. That's why today's scripture matters
- 3:22so much, Because Jesus doesn't say, come to me once you've figured everything out.
- 3:30No, he simply says, come, tired, heavy, overwhelmed, worn down, come anyway.
- 3:41And I think sometimes we forget that.
- 3:44We definitely forget that. We think faith means pretending you're always okay.
- 3:50But real faith, real faith is honesty.
- 3:55It's saying, Lord, I'm tired. Not polished, not perfect, just real.
- 4:03Because God cannot heal the version of you that you keep pretending to be.
- 4:10And maybe today, instead of trying to hold it all together, you let yourself
- 4:16breathe, let yourself rest, and let yourself admit, I need help too.
- 4:23Because there's pressure. The pressure to always be strong.
- 4:28You know what's exhausting? Feeling like you always have to be the strong one,
- 4:33the dependable one, the encouraging one, the one everybody leans on.
- 4:42And eventually that weight catches up to you because even strong people need support.
- 4:49Even faithful people get tired. Even people who love God sometimes feel emotionally overwhelmed.
- 4:57And I really believe somebody listening today needed permission to hear that.
- 5:04They needed to hear those words. They needed to hear that you are allowed to
- 5:09slow down. They need to hear that you are allowed to rest and taking care of
- 5:13your mental and emotional health does not make you weak.
- 5:17It makes you human.
- 5:20And then there's encouragement with this. So if your heart has been hurting,
- 5:29stressed, please hear me clearly.
- 5:33You don't have to carry everything by yourself.
- 5:35You don't have to pretend every day is okay. and you don't have to earn rest.
- 5:42See, God sees the exhaustion nobody else notices, the tears nobody else saw,
- 5:48the pressure nobody else understands, and he is not asking you to perform.
- 5:54He's inviting you to come closer.
- 5:58So maybe today, maybe tonight, instead of overworking yourself emotionally,
- 6:05you sit quietly for just a moment and maybe you pray.
- 6:12Maybe you breathe.
- 6:17Maybe you let yourself rest without guilt. Let's pray.
- 6:23Heavenly Father, thank you, Lord. You know the exhaustion we carry,
- 6:28the pressure, the stress. Thank you for listening.
- 6:31The emotional weight that we don't always talk about. Lord, help us stop pretending.
- 6:36Help us stop pretending that we're okay when we're not, when we're hurting.
- 6:41Give rest to the person listening right now who feels emotionally drained.
- 6:46Remind them that they're not weak for feeling tired. And teach us to find peace
- 6:52in your presence instead of trying to carry everything alone.
- 6:57Yeah.
- 7:00Renew your hearts. Renew your minds. Renew your strength.
- 7:05And do that in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
- 7:09So may God be with you. May he shine his light upon you and grant each and every
- 7:14single one of you peace on earth.
- 7:19And never forget, tomorrow, we're going to be talking about feeling behind in life. Have faith.
- 7:31Let it begin. It's going to be a good week, guys. We're only on day two. Have faith.
