Latest / Kenny Wallace Media / Chaim Bloom To Replace John Mozeliak For 2025?
Transcript
- 0:00In Bob Nightingale's report, he writes, and this is the direct
- 0:05couple sentences here. While John Mozelock, president
- 0:09of baseball operations for the Saint Louis Cardinals, plans to
- 0:14step down after the 2025 season, special assistant Heim Bloom is
- 0:19expected to have much greater authority next season, perhaps
- 0:24even become the top baseball decision maker.
- 0:28So look, I think this is really smart if that's what happens for
- 0:34the Cardinals, OK? And a lot of people, we've
- 0:37talked about this basically all season long on this channel when
- 0:42I was doing the show low hanging fruit with Brendan Schaefer.
- 0:45Look, we all know John Mozelock is under contract through 2025.
- 0:52You have Heimbloom there. He's a guy who if he wants to be
- 0:56a a chief baseball decision maker, whatever that title is,
- 0:59whether it's a president of baseball OPS, general manager,
- 1:02different teams have different titles.
- 1:04But what I'm trying to say is I think it's fair to say this is a
- 1:09coveted guy, right? So if he's going to be the
- 1:12Cardinals top executive in the future, there are other teams
- 1:17that would want his services as well.
- 1:20And so this offseason, if there are other teams and they're
- 1:23saying, hey, we want to interview Heim Bloom this and
- 1:25that, it makes total sense for the Cardinals to just set up
- 1:30this succession plan for John Mosaic.
- 1:34And look, this is something that all smart businesses do, right?
- 1:39We're focusing on baseball, but look at other sports.
- 1:43But look at just businesses in general, right?
- 1:46If you have ACEO or ACFO or whatever it is, often times that
- 1:52person doesn't just boom, retire and then they have an open, open
- 1:59interview session to replace that person.
- 2:01That's not that's not how it works with big time businesses
- 2:05and corporations. And that's what we're talking
- 2:06about with the Saint Louis Cardinals.
- 2:07We're talking about a billion dollar industry of baseball and
- 2:13it's a huge job. It is a big time job.
- 2:16It is a coveted job to be the chief decision maker of the
- 2:19baseball OPS department. Whatever that title is right
- 2:22now, it's president of baseball operations for John Mosaic.
- 2:25So it makes total sense to set up that succession plan, right?
- 2:32Like the show succession, great show.
- 2:35So look, here's here's what you do.
- 2:37And I think it makes total sense.
- 2:39I think it should happen. I'm not saying it's going to
- 2:41happen, but I think this also makes total sense.
- 2:44Basically, John Mosaic doesn't have to retire a year early.
- 2:49They can come out, they can make an announcement and they can say
- 2:52something like this. Look, Heim Bloom is going to be
- 2:56our top baseball executive moving forward, starting
- 3:01specifically in 2026, but he's going to have a much larger role
- 3:06in 2025. And John Mosaic, who is still
- 3:09under contract, is going to be there to help him.
- 3:13And look, it doesn't even matter how you write the press release,
- 3:18OK? I think Heimbloom should be the
- 3:20chief baseball decision maker in 2025, and maybe he will be.
- 3:25But also, we know John Mosaic has been here a long time with
- 3:30the Cardinals, essentially his entire adult life.
- 3:33We're talking 30 years. The wits love him.
- 3:36And I know a lot of people like to bag on John Mosaic and I've
- 3:40criticized him, I think fairly a lot over the last several years.
- 3:44But let's also remember that John Mosaic has done a lot more
- 3:48good than bad big picture with the Cardinals.
- 3:52I know the first half of his tenure much better than the
- 3:56second-half. And look, there's, there's a lot
- 3:58of personnel decisions developing who to trade, who to
- 4:03keep, all those types of things, puzzling roster moves in terms
- 4:08of sending guys down, bringing them back up and all that.
- 4:11And, and we'll get into all that.
- 4:12But I, I think it's also fair to say big picture, John Mosaic has
- 4:16been good for the Cardinals for his entire tenure.
- 4:19On a, on a personal note, John Mosaic always was very good and
- 4:24fair to me. And anytime I've ever criticized
- 4:27John Mosaic, it's never been, it's never been personal at all.
- 4:30We're just talking baseball here.
- 4:31Baseball's big business in Saint Louis.
- 4:35It's a huge deal. It's a huge job.
- 4:37And look, when John Mosaic was great for the 1st 810, whatever
- 4:42years, I mean, we all just gave the man glowing compliments and
- 4:48he was the toast of the town. He was the toast of baseball.
- 4:51He was one of the top executives in all of baseball.
- 4:53I remember some some some different surveys and all that
- 4:58back in the day where he was right up there, top 123,
- 5:00whatever it was in baseball. If you look at the run,
- 5:02obviously from 11:12, 13/14/15 when the Cardinals had great
- 5:06success. I remember seeing a survey
- 5:08earlier this year where they asked who's the top baseball
- 5:11executive and somebody let me know.
- 5:14I think it was, I think it was, I can't remember who did the
- 5:19survey. Maybe the Athletic let let me
- 5:21know. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I
- 5:22don't think John Mosaic was in the top 16 of baseball execs for
- 5:27that same type of survey that was out there this year.
- 5:30So I'm going on a tangent. What I'm saying though, is this
- 5:33is how a smart business, this is how a smart baseball OPS
- 5:38department should run. They should set up the plan.
- 5:43They should give the guy a year buffer with Mosaic helping out,
- 5:48even if Hein Bloom is going to be the man next year.
- 5:51John Mosaic can step aside a little bit, but still be there.
- 5:55I mean, there's a lot of things John Mosaic knows about the
- 5:57Cardinals and and look, maybe he has input to on we should keep
- 6:02these guys or some other people that maybe need to move on.
- 6:05We need to do less analytics, more analytics, our field staff
- 6:08this and that. It just makes perfect sense.
- 6:10Look at the Saint Louis Blues, by the way, look at the
- 6:14announcement they made. Was it earlier this year?
- 6:16My, my concept of time is, is not great anymore.
- 6:19I'm blaming COVID for that, but when they made their
- 6:22announcement about Alexander Steen, they essentially set up
- 6:27the succession plan for Doug Armstrong.
- 6:30And I don't remember the exact specifics.
- 6:32I listened and watched the press conference, but I think it was
- 6:35something like, look, whatever Steen's title is right now with
- 6:38the Blues assistant to the general manager, whatever it is,
- 6:41I don't know exactly what it is. I can look it up, but you know,
- 6:43it's something like that. And then he's going to basically
- 6:45take over as general manager and take that off the plate of Doug
- 6:49Armstrong, whose title is the president of hockey operations,
- 6:53but also general manager. And then obviously you would
- 6:56assume that down the road, Alexanderstein takes over the
- 6:59chief decision making job of the Saint Louis Blues, whatever that
- 7:03is, however long that contract is for, for Doug Armstrong 345
- 7:08years from now. Again, I, I don't remember the
- 7:10exact specifics, I'm going off the cuff here, but it's
- 7:12something like that. So I think it makes perfect
- 7:15sense. Again, if this is true, if this
- 7:18is the way it's going for the Cardinals and some people just
- 7:21jumping on now we have 49 people watching live.
- 7:23I appreciate that. So just to to catch you back up
- 7:26to speed as we're 11 minutes in here, Bob Nightingale wrote a
- 7:31little blurb, USA TODAY. And he said while John Mosaic,
- 7:34president of baseball operations for the Saint Louis Cardinals,
- 7:37plans to step down after the 2025 season, which we all knew,
- 7:41by the way, the question is more about what happens for 2025.
- 7:46So special assistant Heimbloom is expected to have much greater
- 7:49authority next season, perhaps even become the top baseball
- 7:53decision maker. That's from Bob Nightingale.
- 7:56I hope that happens. I think it makes the most sense
- 7:59to happen like that again. Other teams are going to want to
- 8:03hire Heimbloom. And look, we talked about this a
- 8:07lot on our radio show when we had one.
- 8:10But, you know, I don't think this was this.
- 8:13This wasn't this big conspiracy theory about about Heimbloom.
- 8:16Heimbloom fell into the lap of the Saint Louis Cardinals at the
- 8:21perfect time when the succession plan was already starting,
- 8:28right. And and when it first was
- 8:29announced that John Mosaic said, look, I'm going to be here three
- 8:33more years, so go back. That's what was it, 232425 S
- 8:39spring training 2023, I believe. And he says I'm going to be here
- 8:43three more years. OK.
- 8:45And then so you're thinking, all right, so 2026 you would think
- 8:50there's going to be a new top decision maker for the
- 8:52Cardinals. And we all wondered and
- 8:54speculated could it be Michael Gersh?
- 8:56Could it be Randy Flores, whatever it is.
- 8:59OK, so that's spring training 2023.
- 9:02Then go to last year basically where the Red Sox fire
- 9:08Heimbloom. And remember, Heimbloom was very
- 9:11good with the Tampa Bay Rays on a budget.
- 9:15We know the Cardinals like to operate their team on a budget,
- 9:19not to the level of the Rays, but like they like to be
- 9:24fiscally responsible, draft and develop.
- 9:27Heimbloom is also known as a pitching guru and a bullpen
- 9:30guru. And the Cardinals bullpen has
- 9:31been very good this year. Basically the bright spot of the
- 9:36of the team, Helsley leading the way, but also some other guys,
- 9:40you know, Ryan Fernandez, that you didn't necessarily expect to
- 9:42have big time years out there. And I'm not even trying to give
- 9:46all that credit to Heimbloom. Obviously, Ryan Helsley's is the
- 9:49main reason then. Ryan Helsley's been here for a
- 9:52long time before Heimbloom. I'm just saying, generally
- 9:55speaking, Heimbloom is known as a pitching guru, a guy who's
- 9:59able to locate, develop and assess pitching and to do it on
- 10:07a budget. When I say a budget, look, the
- 10:09Cardinals spent around whatever it is, $200 million.
- 10:11But the Cardinals aren't a team that want to go out there and
- 10:15give the $200 million contracts in free agencies.
- 10:18So it makes sense. Look, if I'm high and bloom, I'm
- 10:21like, I was working on a budget with the Rays and now I have
- 10:25another smart baseball operation.
- 10:27Typically, look, the Cardinals, Dewitz, Mosaic, big picture are
- 10:31usually a very smart and well run baseball OPS department.
- 10:35It has not been that way for the last couple three years.
- 10:38Whatever you want to go back to some of the bad trades.
- 10:40I agree with you, but usually the Cardinals are a well run
- 10:45baseball OPS department. So I think it's a perfect fit.
- 10:49What I'm trying to say is look, if you go back 2 1/2 years or
- 10:55whatever it was spring training of 2023, the Cardinals probably
- 10:59thought, I'm guessing the Dewitts thought or Mosaic
- 11:01thought it's going to be a Gersh or maybe Randy Flores replacing
- 11:06John Mosaic. Maybe we stay in house.
- 11:08I think it also it it's pretty obvious the Cardinals have in
- 11:12house issues for drafting, developing, decision making.
- 11:17I think it makes sense even if it wasn't Heimbloom, and who
- 11:20knows, maybe it's not. Even if it wasn't Heimbloom, I
- 11:24think it makes total sense for the Cardinals to go outside of
- 11:26the organization for this position.
- 11:29That's no disrespect to Gersh, Randy Flores, like both those
- 11:32guys, respect both those guys. I think this organization needs
- 11:37outside eyes and I'm including Heimbloom, even though he's in
- 11:41the organization right now as outside eyes because he just
- 11:44jumped in here as an advisor the last year or so, right?
- 11:49He's he's outside eyes. He comes from different
- 11:52organizations, Rays, Red Sox, here he is.
- 11:56So I think this makes total sense.
- 11:58If it goes this way, I think it's the way it should go.
- 12:03And also Cardinal fans right now want blood.
- 12:07And I hate to say that because I do like John Mosaic.
- 12:10I respect John Mosaic, but I, I think for ticket purchases, I
- 12:15think for momentum rolling into 2025, there does have to be some
- 12:20type of announcement of, of bigger change.
- 12:23And I think this would be enough if, and again, I don't care
- 12:26exactly how you write the press release, right?
- 12:29You don't have to disrespect John Mosaic.
- 12:31But if the understanding is that John Mosaic is sticking around,
- 12:35but Heimbloom has much more authority and it's a timeshare
- 12:39or he's the chief decision maker, Heimbloom, I think that
- 12:42makes a lot of sense. And I think that appeases a lot
- 12:45of fans. By the way, you shouldn't
- 12:48necessarily always make decisions to appease fans, but I
- 12:51think the fans are actually right this time.
- 12:53The fans were were more accurate than the media, by the way, I
- 12:57think, look, I said I can't remember what I thought the
- 12:59Cardinals were going to win 8283 games.
- 13:01I I said shot at the playoffs. A big part of that is I think
- 13:05most people thought the Brewers were going to be worse, but I
- 13:09had so many comments here on YouTube and Twitter and people
- 13:13said they're not going to be good, they're not going to be
- 13:14good. And again, your definition of
- 13:16good Right now, I think they're on pace to win 82 games to go 82
- 13:21and 80. So they're not bad, they don't
- 13:22suck, they're not great. They're mediocre, they're
- 13:25average. They're fine.
- 13:26Whatever your your your term is for good or your win total.
- 13:31The Cardinals, they're OK, right?
- 13:33They're decent. Are they good if they finish
- 13:36with 82 wins? I don't know.
- 13:38I don't even want to get into that semantics argument.
- 13:40But what I'm trying to say is it is clear when you watch games,
- 13:44when you when you see the pictures.
- 13:47And I'm going to go to Bush this weekend at least once, maybe
- 13:49twice. So I'll see it up close and
- 13:52personal about the lack of fans there.
- 13:54And that'll be the final homestand of the season.
- 13:56And I'm going there to see my buddy Dan Puente, who's the
- 13:58assistant hitting coach of the Guardians.
- 14:00I'm just saying that because I'm not, I'm not really going to
- 14:02watch the Cardinals. And look, any other year you'd
- 14:06be super excited to watch the Cardinals late September final
- 14:10homestand. Even if they weren't going to
- 14:12make the playoffs, if they had a shot at the playoffs, those
- 14:14games will be packed. People would be excited.
- 14:16Or you're getting ready for an October in Saint Louis playoff
- 14:19baseball. So look, the fans want blood,
- 14:25they want change. And I think a lot of them want
- 14:29John Mosaic to step aside. I think it's enough.
- 14:32That doesn't mean John Mosaic needs to resign.
- 14:35And that's not going to happen. And I don't think, and I don't
- 14:38think the dewitzer ever going to fire John Mosaic.
- 14:40But I think an announcement needs to be made or an
- 14:43understanding needs to be had that John Mosaic is is starting
- 14:49the process of stepping down and Heimbloom is going to have a
- 14:52huge role in 2025. And then potentially Heimbloom
- 14:55takes over full time, whatever that title is, president of
- 15:00baseball operations in 2026. So there you go.
- 15:04Have a ton of questions, comments.
- 15:09I purposely didn't read all of your questions and comments
- 15:13because I want to do my little rant, my little spiel there.
- 15:16And I think I touched on everything that I wanted to
- 15:20discuss, which basically is this is smart.
- 15:22If it happens, it's the right thing to do for any baseball
- 15:24team, any sports organization. The Blues just did this with
- 15:27Alexander Steen. Any company, any successful
- 15:29corporation, doesn't matter if you're the Fortune 500 company
- 15:33or you're a small own family business, right?
- 15:36If somebody's getting ready to retire, they say, hey, maybe I
- 15:39have 2-3 more years left, hey, let's elevate this guy into Co
- 15:45VP or CFO, whatever in the plan is for him or her, whoever it is
- 15:50to take over when I officially retire two or three years from
- 15:53now. So there you go.
- 15:54OK, let's go to some questions. Comments, by the way, of course,
- 15:59always support our sponsors, Triad Bank, Saint Louis Lawn
- 16:03Care, Saint Louis Equipment, Corner Butcher and Chop House in
- 16:06beautiful Fenton, MO OK, here we go.
- 16:10Sandwich man. Bernie has been talking about
- 16:12Bloom for a hot minute. I think he'd be a great fresh
- 16:15start as president. I agree.
- 16:17And and look, Bernie's great. I'm glad that Bernie's on
- 16:19YouTube also. I think it's a great move for
- 16:22him. His baseball content is top
- 16:25notch. I always said that when we were
- 16:27teammates at 590, the Fan and a lot of his content, we put it on
- 16:31this channel here as well and some other 590 content.
- 16:33Yeah, look, this is not exactly breaking news.
- 16:37I think most people thought this would be the way the Cardinals
- 16:41would go, especially with the team trending down the last
- 16:44couple years. Look, if the Cardinals would
- 16:47have been winning 95 plus games and making a couple deep playoff
- 16:51runs, folks wouldn't be saying we need to go outside the
- 16:54organization, right? Because the thought would be,
- 16:56hey, this organization is running fine, let's keep it in
- 16:59house with the Gersh or Randy Flores.
- 17:01Last year was awful. This year's very mediocre.
- 17:05There's a downward trend. I don't like to always say it's
- 17:08a downward trend since 2015 because it's almost like look
- 17:132013, right? Cardinals make the World Series
- 17:162014 NLCS 2015 hundred wins playoffs then they had the three
- 17:21years they don't make the playoffs 2019 they make the
- 17:24NLCS. It hasn't been good since some
- 17:26playoff runs. But when I say runs, I mean just
- 17:29a series out quick. But it's a downward trend.
- 17:34Whether you want to say for a decade or five years, whatever
- 17:37it is, I don't want to argue with that.
- 17:39It's something there. But it's a downward trend.
- 17:41And the Cardinals should go outside of the organization.
- 17:43And Bloom fell right into their lap during this succession plan.
- 17:48As soon as I say, is it succession, not like you're
- 17:52seceding from the Union like it's the Civil War, OK, I don't
- 17:56speak perfectly. And plus, like I said, I'm a
- 17:57little under the weather. OK, I'm going to blame it on
- 18:00that sandwich, man. Heck yeah.
- 18:03Let's see. Arthur J Judah.
- 18:06I can't wait. I think that's MO has to go.
- 18:10Please. Yeah, Look, I get it.
- 18:12I'm not. I'm not mad at MO.
- 18:14I like MO personally. I think he's been more good than
- 18:17bad, for sure. Help his team win a World
- 18:20Series, Bunch of deep playoff runs.
- 18:21I think it's time to move on. It's time to pass the baton.
- 18:24It happens, man. This is professional sports.
- 18:26You know what? Everybody will be a little butt
- 18:27hurt for a year or two. Everybody will forget.
- 18:30Couple years later, John Mosaic comes back, throws out the first
- 18:33pitch, does all the interviews. Everybody remembers the good
- 18:35times. This is big business, people.
- 18:38It's sports. This is how it is, right?
- 18:40Look, the Blues member Doug Armstrong had to fire Ken
- 18:43Hitchcock and Ken Hitchcock didn't want to be fired.
- 18:45They're still buddies. Ken Hitchcock came back to be
- 18:48part of the organization as an advisor.
- 18:50This is how it works, man. This is how it works.
- 18:53It's the big leagues, man. To quote the late, great Tim
- 18:56McCarver. Let's see, sandwich man, could
- 19:00Doug Armstrong just switch from Blues to Cardinals in two years?
- 19:03How about that? You want Doug Armstrong with a
- 19:05great hockey background to just start being a baseball guy?
- 19:10Hey, I like outside the box thinking.
- 19:14I'm sorry MO, but professional differences have developed.
- 19:16And retire this year or you're fired.
- 19:18He deserves no more than Schilt received.
- 19:20OK, I do think Schilt was done dirty.
- 19:23I don't think it was 100% not on Schilt.
- 19:26I think Schilt played a role there.
- 19:29But yeah, I get that a lot of people didn't like the way
- 19:31Schultz was treated. That's fair sandwich man.
- 19:35I just think the MO fatigue with fans is too great to keep him as
- 19:37the top guy. I agree it sends the wrong
- 19:40message to the fans. I agree an announcement needs to
- 19:42be made, a press release. I don't care how you write it,
- 19:45you don't disrespect the man. You honor what he did.
- 19:48You say he's sticking around. Heimbloom is going to have more
- 19:51authority. Whatever it is, let the fans
- 19:54know a change has been made. Let's see, Doctor Zoom, he
- 19:58inherited a great franchise that Jockey and Luno built while
- 20:01Jockey and Jeff Luno. Yeah, I mean, John Mosaic was
- 20:06really good too, though. And I understand you can say,
- 20:09OK, once Luno left in those drafts went away, the product
- 20:13got worse. That's fair.
- 20:14That's fair. I think John Mosaic, John Mosaic
- 20:18made a lot of good decisions for the 1st 10 years or so, last
- 20:21five to seven. Not a lot of great ones, but
- 20:23some good ones. I mean look are not a trade.
- 20:27Goldie trade even this season, even this season I I thought
- 20:32they they needed another front end starting pitcher.
- 20:35But Sonny Gray, you like that one of Kyle Gibson or Lance Lynn
- 20:40was good. They needed another top end guy.
- 20:42But this season was more about the offense crapping the bed for
- 20:46the first month or so. It's hard to blame Mosaic Lock
- 20:49for that. There's a lot of things you can
- 20:50blame Mosaic Lock on 4:00 and also big picture
- 20:54organizationally, look, there's a clear trend of of position
- 20:59players especially leaving this organization and being much
- 21:03better elsewhere. Cardinals have not been good the
- 21:06last five to seven years at picking the right, especially
- 21:09outfielders to keep and who to trade.
- 21:12Let's be real about that. We all know that Seth B, he's
- 21:16officially a special assistant. Basically, he's being trained to
- 21:19be the GM. I think you're talking about
- 21:21Alexander Steen there my previous comment.
- 21:24Bill Downton. He is the second longest running
- 21:26pobo in baseball. Only Cashman at New York has
- 21:29been longer. How about Cashman?
- 21:30Also, when's the last time Cashman and the Yankees won a
- 21:33World Series? Is it 2009?
- 21:35Sometimes you got to shake it up.
- 21:37I'm not saying that Brian Cashman has been bad.
- 21:42Yankees are usually good. But it's been a long time since
- 21:45the New York Yankees won a World Series. 2009, right?
- 21:4915 years. I mean, they're usually good.
- 21:52Let's see. Hold on, sandwich, man.
- 21:57One time I was driving down 44, and I look in my rearview mirror
- 21:59and a big red Jeep is about two feet off my tailgate.
- 22:02It was none other than John Mosaic.
- 22:03True story. I don't know if that's AI
- 22:05believe you, but I'm not going to get into these people's
- 22:08driving habits, OK? I need to read these before I
- 22:11put them on, just in case you guys don't defame someone or or
- 22:18curse. We can't.
- 22:19We can't be demonetized. We need to make money on these
- 22:21videos. Part of that fried bank, Saint
- 22:25Louis lawn care, Saint Louis equipment, corner butcher and
- 22:28chop house in Fenton. OK, here we go.
- 22:33Jeffrey Jordan. Is that Michael Jordan's son?
- 22:35Is that the one that was in trouble with the remember that
- 22:38recently? I'm sure it's not this guy.
- 22:41I thank the Cardinals very much for firing Mike Schilt.
- 22:43He's a great manager and has done an outstanding job with the
- 22:46San Diego Padres. This comment comes from a
- 22:48native, Sandy Eggin and a Padres fan.
- 22:50Thank you, Jeffrey Jordan. Let's see.
- 22:54Here we go. Mark Canapa.
- 22:58Canapa. Canapa.
- 23:00Charlie, given my 40 years experience in change management
- 23:03and strategic planning, this transition plan makes perfect
- 23:07sense. A good business move in my
- 23:08opinion. We need real change.
- 23:10We need real change. I agree.
- 23:11Yeah, it makes perfect sense. Baseball business?
- 23:13Yes for sure flying Navy 73 DeWitt is a bigger problem than
- 23:18MO. He is the one who decided to cut
- 23:21costs by stripping minor league infrastructure.
- 23:23He is the one that has allowed every aspect of the team
- 23:25organization to deteriorate. I'm not even to say this.
- 23:29I heard a a rumor at the gym about Cardinals ownership.
- 23:34I'm not even to say I shouldn't even have brought it up.
- 23:38Basically, the the rumor was of a change of ownership of the
- 23:42Cardinals, which I don't think actually is going to happen.
- 23:45So I shouldn't even have brought it up.
- 23:46But it came from somebody who says he knows people, so I'm not
- 23:50even getting to the specifics. You wonder if I'm the Dewitt's
- 23:54Bill the third is a young guy. Doesn't he want to keep the
- 23:57franchise? I would think keep it in the
- 23:58family. Yeah.
- 24:00I don't know. I don't know any of these
- 24:01things. All right, here we go.
- 24:05Doctor Zoom. 82 wins is bad for this franchise.
- 24:08That's fair. We have a higher bar in the loo,
- 24:11and we should. Let's see.
- 24:13Sandwich man prolific in his comments.
- 24:16I'm OK with them keeping MO around as long as they make it
- 24:18clear that Bloom is the new leader.
- 24:20I agree. OK the red bird farm hands.
- 24:24Is this actually happening or just speculation?
- 24:26If you just joined in, I'll say it for the third time.
- 24:28And I'm not being sarcastic when I say that because people jump
- 24:31in on the live stream. We have 68 people.
- 24:34I think that's our top concurrent viewership.
- 24:37I was basically reading a Bob Nightingale blurb report,
- 24:42whatever you want to call it, I'll read it for the third time.
- 24:44I'm not. I'm not trying to be a jerk here
- 24:46because I want you guys to know why I'm talking right now.
- 24:49So he writes Bob Nightingale USA TODAY.
- 24:52While John Mosaic, president of baseball operations for the
- 24:54Saint Louis Cardinals, plans to step down after the 2025 season,
- 24:58special assistant Heimbloom is expected to have much greater
- 25:01authority next season, perhaps even become the top baseball
- 25:04decision maker. So I think that's fair to call
- 25:06that a report that Heimbloom is expected to have much greater
- 25:09authority next season, perhaps even become the top baseball
- 25:13decision maker. So, I mean, is it speculation?
- 25:16First of all, we've all speculated about it.
- 25:18Bob Nightingale's plugged in. I know he's not 100% right.
- 25:22I think it's OK to call that a report, right?
- 25:24Is that fair, you guys? I'm trying to be fair here.
- 25:28Ray Beiersdorf. I'm hoping for a new manager,
- 25:31someone from outside the organization.
- 25:33Yeah. I don't know.
- 25:34I don't think Ollie is the problem.
- 25:36I think it's more Dewitt's mosaic.
- 25:39I don't think Ollie's done a bad job.
- 25:41I mean, this team, they keep fighting, right?
- 25:44They haven't quit. I don't think Ollie's
- 25:47necessarily a great manager. I don't think he's bad.
- 25:49I don't think he's the main problem.
- 25:50If they moved on from Ollie, if Heimbloom wanted his own
- 25:52manager, I would get that. I'm OK with Ollie coming back
- 25:56next year, especially if you change.
- 25:58If you change out Mosaic for the most part that's enough change.
- 26:03Give Ollie a year. Maybe Hein Bloom likes Ollie, I
- 26:05don't know. I don't think Ollie is great.
- 26:09I didn't think Ollie should get a contract extension before the
- 26:11season. My issues with Ollie I think he
- 26:14bungled game one of the play offs couple years ago.
- 26:18And I'll say this till I'm blue in the face.
- 26:21I I don't think it made any sense to publicly dressed down
- 26:24Tyler O'Neill. I thought that was the dumbest
- 26:25thing ever. How many homers does Tyler
- 26:27O'Neill have? You basically had to trade that
- 26:29dude for a bucket of balls. The pitcher you've already
- 26:32freaking DFA and I don't remember his name.
- 26:34So my two biggest issues with Olive.
- 26:38He mangled game one of the playoffs but also does his first
- 26:40playoff game. I'm not trying to be unfair,
- 26:43right? Taking out Quintana early.
- 26:46I think that's judgement call. Fair to criticize.
- 26:50And then asking 2 innings from multiple innings from Ryan
- 26:53Helsley after you just had the finger issue, right?
- 26:55These are 100% and and not having pitchers ready to replace
- 27:00Halsey before it was too late and he lost the game.
- 27:02I also think, I think Ollie's a little little chirpy in his post
- 27:07games, right? But I like that because it's
- 27:10entertaining, little condescending here and there,
- 27:13which I wouldn't like if it was to me, but it is entertaining.
- 27:16So I can't be too mad about that.
- 27:18What do you guys think? Like I said, I'm pretty neutral
- 27:20on Ollie. Like I'm not anti Ollie, never
- 27:23have been. I think I'm pretty fair.
- 27:26Let's see, do do, do, do, do, do, Mike.
- 27:30Hard to believe MO's ego will let him take a backseat to
- 27:32anyone. I don't know.
- 27:33I think there is an interview that MO did with Martin Kilcoin
- 27:38that we put on this channel. I don't remember when it was.
- 27:41So if you want to go back, there was a video interview.
- 27:43There was an audio interview. It sounded like John Mozelock
- 27:46was ready to step aside. It did.
- 27:50It sounded like he was ready for a break.
- 27:53He even said something about, you know, being able to take a
- 27:56vacation. I, I don't remember the exact
- 27:58words. I don't want to.
- 27:58I don't want to put words in his mouth, but there was an
- 28:02interview that he did with Martin that we put on the
- 28:04channel in the last couple months, 2-3 months, and it
- 28:07sounded like he was ready to, to step aside and let someone else
- 28:12take over. And it's clear the fans want him
- 28:15to, right? Like, these are your customers,
- 28:17man. I like John Mosaic.
- 28:19I think he's done more good than bad.
- 28:21But it's time to move on. This is the big leagues.
- 28:25This is this is big boy stuff. Sometimes it doesn't work out.
- 28:28It worked out for many years. It hasn't worked out for the
- 28:30last couple 3 several years, whatever, time to move on.
- 28:34John Mosaic, it's all good. I like John Mosaic, it's been
- 28:38always been good to me. Sent me a nice text when I got
- 28:41out of TV and then every time anytime I see him around the
- 28:45ballpark, which is not very often because I don't go very
- 28:47much, but he's always friendly. So let's see.
- 28:51Couple more comments. Rocking 7.
- 28:55When will the team try to get better?
- 28:59Great question. I mean for this team to get
- 29:00better though, it's about drafting guys and developing
- 29:04guys and trading guys in the minor leagues for other guys who
- 29:09are going to be great. Cardinals 234 years from now.
- 29:12Hopefully the Tink henses and Quinn Matthews step up.
- 29:19I still am very high on the Cardinals group of position
- 29:21players. These young guys, there's a lot
- 29:24of guys with a lot of talent. I don't think they're going to
- 29:26have the year next year. They start the year where the
- 29:28whole team sucks offensively. I just I can't see that
- 29:31happening. Let's see Justin Kramer know
- 29:35it's sports hypothesis talking about.
- 29:39Is this a report? I mean, Bob Nightingale reported
- 29:42this. Everybody speculate about this,
- 29:44right? Every.
- 29:45I mean, we started talking about when Hein Bloom was announced as
- 29:51an advisor, whenever that was. Was that early?
- 29:57Was it spring training or winter?
- 29:58Whenever it was winter before the season, everyone on earth
- 30:01speculated there's a chance. There's a good chance that
- 30:04Heimbloom takes over for John Mosaic, whether it was 2026 or
- 30:08now, the discussion about will he be the chief decision maker
- 30:112025. All right, here we go.
- 30:15Kim Valker. Kim, how are you?
- 30:16Kim, the lovely mother of my friend Austin Valker, who used
- 30:20to be bored up on the morning after.
- 30:23Great family Kim. I'm leaning towards Mark DeRosa.
- 30:26Oh for manager. I like that.
- 30:27I like Mark DeRosa Dero. Great guy, smart baseball guy,
- 30:32fun to be around, good vibes. He's a good vibes guy.
- 30:37How about Jackson McNeil? Jackson McNeil doing videos on
- 30:41the channel here. Very happy to have Jackson
- 30:44McNeil on board. He says the thing this
- 30:45organization needs is real change.
- 30:47So if Bloom is going to be in charge, he needs to be able to
- 30:50hire his guys. That means Gersh Flores aren't
- 30:52fits. He needs to bring in new guys.
- 30:54I agree with that. I agree with that 100 per cent.
- 31:00Mark DeRosa. Why?
- 31:04Look, I, I don't think I don't think Ali's the biggest problem,
- 31:07but Mark DeRosa is Mark DeRosa is going to be a manager someday
- 31:12for somebody. Didn't he interview with the
- 31:15Mets couple years back? Was that when Carlos Beltran got
- 31:19the job and then everything came out the Astros?
- 31:21I think that's the case. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm
- 31:25just going off the top of my head.
- 31:26And then he managed Team USA in the World Baseball Classic and
- 31:30maybe wasn't wasn't the greatest in handling pitching there, if I
- 31:33remember if I recall. But I still think Mark DeRosa is
- 31:37a great baseball guy. When I say a vibes guy, look, a
- 31:41huge part of being a manager now is meeting with the media 5000
- 31:45times. These guys do this all the time.
- 31:47And it's also a a brain trust between the field staff and the
- 31:53front office. I just think Mark DeRosa would
- 31:56be good in that sense. Another part is also it's hiring
- 31:58good people, right? The Cardinals, the Cardinals
- 32:01coaching staff, do they do they add value?
- 32:06Remember, a lot of these guys are the guys because other guys
- 32:11didn't take the jobs couple years ago.
- 32:13If you go back to Mike Maddox leaving relatively unexpectedly,
- 32:20Jeff Albert leaving unexpectedly, Matt Holiday
- 32:23taking the job and then not taking the job, and everything
- 32:26that happened last year at the new coaching staff and then the
- 32:29offense was horrible for the first month or so.
- 32:33It seemed like it took forever to get guys out of these slumps.
- 32:37It does sure seem like every outfielder that leaves Saint
- 32:40Louis is much better elsewhere. These are real problems.
- 32:44These are real problems for the Cardinals.
- 32:45So yes, they got to. They got to change a lot of
- 32:49guys. I'm not saying it all has to
- 32:50happen this offseason. Maybe it does.
- 32:53I think Mosaic needs to hand the baton to balloon this offseason.
- 32:57You've already had Gary Larocque retire.
- 33:00If that's what he did. I'm not sure.
- 33:02I'm not. I'm not an insider.
- 33:05I don't even care to ask. I don't want to say I don't
- 33:07care, but whatever. Ollie, I actually, I actually
- 33:14would would want new offensive staff.
- 33:16I'd be fine with Ollie staying and some new hitting coaches.
- 33:20Personally, I think that's enough.
- 33:21That's enough change, don't you think?
- 33:24Let's see, Ollie ain't the solution from Rich Grisham.
- 33:29That's fair. I think that's fair.
- 33:31I don't think Ollie's also the biggest problem.
- 33:33OK, sandwich man. What about poo holes or Yachty
- 33:37for manager? Do you see that happening at
- 33:39some .0? I mean, I would love that for
- 33:41content. I would absolutely love that.
- 33:44I mean, Heimbloom. Heimbloom doesn't have the
- 33:47relationship with Yachty and Albert that Mosaic did, right?
- 33:51Is that something Heimbloom wants to?
- 33:53Does he want to start with a beloved generational cardinal
- 33:58that has more juice than him? With the fan base in Yachty or
- 34:01Albert, that's tough. That's tough.
- 34:04Where is Yadi, by the way? The Yadi ever show up?
- 34:06That's hilarious. Let's be real.
- 34:08It's hilarious that Yadi literally just didn't show up
- 34:10all season and he was supposed to be a coach.
- 34:12Is that true, Right. Did he ever show up?
- 34:15I'll be honest, I have not paid as close attention since the
- 34:18Cardinals stopped really being in contention.
- 34:20And then once we had the radio show and it ended, obviously
- 34:23like every day we're we're watching Cardinals.
- 34:25When we had the radio show, I've kind of checked out a bit.
- 34:28I blame the Cardinals for that because they're not very good.
- 34:31I also blame myself. All right, let's see outside the
- 34:37box thinking Charlie Marlow for manager.
- 34:38Yes, I agree with that. I'll take the job.
- 34:42Charlie is high. Not right now, not right now.
- 34:48I'm high on water with a little bit of caffeine.
- 34:52See, it's actually purple. You can't see that, but it was
- 34:55more purpley until I refilled it.
- 34:57Little caffeine boost little packs, guys use those.
- 34:59I'm a big fan of those. Let's see Jackson coming back.
- 35:02Oh, hold on. Not sure Yachty is a fit.
- 35:06The team couldn't get him to show up, do his job all season.
- 35:08Yes. And that's hilarious, by the
- 35:09way. Like, it's hilarious.
- 35:10Come on. I love Yachty.
- 35:12It's hilarious that he essentially forced John Mosaic
- 35:16to give him a job because he did some interviews with, I think,
- 35:20Puerto Rican press and said, yeah, I expect to have a job.
- 35:22And then John Mosaic was like, well, we hadn't really talked
- 35:25about it. And then a couple days later,
- 35:26there was a press release of Yachty being a special assistant
- 35:30who literally didn't show up the entire year.
- 35:32That's hilarious, folks, that's hilarious.
- 35:36If you can't find the humor in that, there's something wrong
- 35:38with you. That is one of the most
- 35:40hilarious things ever, that Yadi, essentially, I don't know
- 35:43what he's paid. I don't even remember what his
- 35:45title is. Yadi got a job, forced his way
- 35:48in, which is great. I would do the same if I was
- 35:50Yadi. And Yadi, he has so much juice
- 35:52with the fan base. Yadi can do whatever he wants.
- 35:54It's amazing. Remember, like his last year, he
- 35:58went and he did the basketball thing with his team in Puerto
- 36:01Rico. No one called him out.
- 36:03And look at Ollie. Did Ollie call him out?
- 36:05By the way? No, you can't call out Yadi.
- 36:07You can call it Tyler O'Neill for running 93% of his top
- 36:11speed, but Yadi can do whatever he wants.
- 36:13And honestly, I don't even care. It's hilarious.
- 36:15It's it's freaking hilarious that Yadi Yadi or Molina did not
- 36:19show up all season. It's just amazing.
- 36:21And it's a microcosm of what's going on in the organization the
- 36:23last couple years. It's just amazingly funny.
- 36:27OK, let's see. Oh, Charlie is high.
- 36:32This is what Rich is saying. That was in regard to the
- 36:34Ollie's not the problem coming. I get it.
- 36:36I don't think Ollie's great. He's not the biggest problem.
- 36:39Change Mozelaq, change drafting, developing offensive staff.
- 36:45I think you can win with Ollie. I'm not saying Ollie is Terry
- 36:48Francona and and get rid of Ollie.
- 36:51I don't care. I really don't.
- 36:52I don't think Ollie is great or bad.
- 36:55I think he's fine. Maybe he'll be great, I don't
- 36:59know. I just don't think he's the
- 37:00biggest problem. Let's see Danny Boy, the Iowan,
- 37:03the higher balloon. Watch out for Rocco Baldelli as
- 37:06the next Cardinals manager. Justin Kramer.
- 37:11Whatever happened with a kendo with Jose Oquendo the secret
- 37:15weapon? I always wanted to see Oquendo
- 37:16get a shot, even if it was an interim.
- 37:19I always wanted to see Oquendo get that shot, even if it was
- 37:22for half a season as a as an interim manager.
- 37:25Never happened. Rich Grisham, the Cardinal
- 37:29organization has a traded places with the Blues organization.
- 37:32Yeah, but neither. Look, I love these teams, but
- 37:36neither have been very great the last couple years.
- 37:41I think it's fair to say the Blues.
- 37:44Cam Jansen said this when we did a live stream.
- 37:46I do think the Blues have at least a plan in place that you
- 37:49can believe it, right. But also, if the Blues paid all
- 37:55that money, if, if Jordan Kairu is never a really, really
- 37:59amazing winning player with a salary cap, it's going to be
- 38:03hard to really win at a high level.
- 38:05But I think, I think it's fair to say I believe in the Blues
- 38:08plan right now more. I believe in Doug Armstrong.
- 38:11Big picture, he hasn't made the greatest moves the last several
- 38:15years either. As his first 5-10, whatever it
- 38:18is, he brought a cup here. We'll never forget that, but I
- 38:22think I believe in the Blues plan more.
- 38:24That being said, if the Cardinals move forward and and
- 38:27the press release comes out, Heim Bloom stepping up whatever
- 38:32the new title is, John Mosaic stepping aside a little bit, I
- 38:35will believe in the Cardinals plan much more when they make
- 38:39that announcement. Is that fair?
- 38:42OK, let's see, here we go. Sandwich man.
- 38:46As soon as Bloom takes over, Ollie will be gone.
- 38:49Just wouldn't make sense to keep him as manager then.
- 38:50I don't know. Still a little under the
- 38:55weather. I apologize for that.
- 38:56I don't know. I don't know how I I have no
- 38:58idea how Hein Bloom feels about Ollie.
- 39:00I don't even pretend I'm not an insider.
- 39:02I'm never at the at the at the field.
- 39:06They don't even give Youtubers. I'm a YouTube.
- 39:08They don't give, even if you have millions, you could have
- 39:10millions of people that watch your channel and they don't give
- 39:13you credentials because MLB, MLB is stuck in the Stone Age when
- 39:18it comes to media. They don't understand that
- 39:20podcast and YouTube and digital media are arguably, I don't want
- 39:25to say more important, but right up there, right up there in
- 39:28terms of eyeballs, listens and all that.
- 39:30It's just true. It's just true.
- 39:33Let's see, here we go. Sandwich, man.
- 39:37The Blues have a plan. They seem way more transparent
- 39:39with the fans. That's true.
- 39:41Blues have always been better about just directly because
- 39:44Armstrong's like that. He speaks directly.
- 39:46He's like, hey, I'm good, I suck, whatever.
- 39:48I've been bad. Management's been bad, coaching
- 39:51staff been bad, players been bad.
- 39:52He's a straight shooter. John Mosaic's a pretty honest
- 39:55guy also. I think that's.
- 39:58I think it's fair to say. Yeah.
- 40:02Yeah. Let's see, Rich, the Blues will
- 40:05surprise you this year. I hope you are right, Mike.
- 40:08I think the secret weapon should have gotten the job after Larusa
- 40:10retired. Sure.
- 40:12Hey. You can go back in time and it's
- 40:15a great hypothetical. I have no idea.
- 40:17Metheny inherited a great team, won a lot of games, deep playoff
- 40:22runs. But I think you could have done
- 40:25better than Metheny. That's certainly fair to say.
- 40:28Let's see Mitchell Baquette. Don't think the team will be
- 40:32good next year, but if MO actually leaves I think they got
- 40:34to just clean house, including Ollie.
- 40:36Not that it's his fault. Dewitt's got to get fans back
- 40:39and fans hate him. Haha, yeah.
- 40:40Do fans hate Ollie? I want to do a poll on that.
- 40:43I want to do a poll on that because I'm curious.
- 40:46Let's see, this has to happen at season's end.
- 40:51Do you think Carpenter is hitting coach?
- 40:54I have no idea if Matt Carpenter wants to be hitting coach.
- 40:56I have no freaking clue. You get the $5 beers at Busch
- 41:01Stadium when you go. I'll tell you what, Sunday I'm
- 41:05going. Sunday I'm going to be drinking.
- 41:07I think my buddy's coming with me from Peoria.
- 41:09We're going to hang out with my other buddy who's the Guardian's
- 41:12assistant hitting coach. Actually, I shouldn't say that.
- 41:14I shouldn't say that. He's drinking.
- 41:15I don't know. He'll drink water.
- 41:17OK. We're going to be hanging out
- 41:18after the game. Rich Grisham.
- 41:21What about the Cardinals farm system?
- 41:23When's the last time the Cardinals developed a legit
- 41:25starting pitcher? Great question.
- 41:26What about Andre Belante? Andre Palante.
- 41:29Hopefully, Tink Hence and Quinn Matthews are the answer to that.
- 41:33When's the last time the Cardinals developed a legit
- 41:35starting pitcher? What's the right answer there?
- 41:38Let's just throw out names. Waka, Carlos Martinez, Lance
- 41:43Lynn a long time ago. Are those the last legit
- 41:48starting pitchers that ended up being Cardinals?
- 41:51Not Sandy Alcantra and Zach Allen, right?
- 41:54Is that fair? So was the last legit one Carlos
- 41:57Martinez? Is that probably true?
- 42:01Who am I missing? I don't have the greatest memory
- 42:05Waka I think Mitchell Baquette. So Waka started in 2013, Lynn
- 42:13came up in 2011, Carlos Martinez was a reliever in 2013.
- 42:18Didn't Carlos Martinez have better starting seasons later
- 42:22than Waka? I know he made an All Star game
- 42:24or two. So whoever the answer is, it's
- 42:27either Waka or Carlos Martinez. In terms of guys that stuck with
- 42:33the Cardinals, I think that's fair.
- 42:36Look it up, let me know. I could look all these things
- 42:38up, but you guys don't look. I just, I just kind of go off
- 42:40the cuff here. I'm not looking these things all
- 42:42up as I go. I don't know everything.
- 42:45I'm not the most plugged in. I like to have fun with you guys
- 42:48and talk baseball and oh, Joe Kelly as a starter, though.
- 42:55Shelby Miller? No, Shelby Miller was before.
- 42:58It's got to be Martinez, Carlos Martinez or Michael Walker.
- 43:02But we hope the answer is Andre Palante or Tink Hens or Quinn
- 43:08Matthews moving forward, whoever the answer whichever Mitchell
- 43:13Baquet correct too long either way.
- 43:15Ha ha, well said guys. I think we're going to we're
- 43:18going to wrap it up pretty soon here.
- 43:21Thank you all for watching comment like subscribe.
- 43:23If you're watching right now and you haven't hit the subscribe
- 43:26button, just press that subscribe right now.
- 43:28Boom, it's free. It's easy, easy peasy, right.
- 43:33Thank you to try bank best thing I ever did for my rental
- 43:36property business, which and all my commercial loans from a big
- 43:40National Bank that doesn't care about me to a beautiful local
- 43:45bank and Triad bank in Frontenac.
- 43:47There's a location in Creve core.
- 43:48I go to frontenactriadbanking.com.
- 43:50I actually just I mailed in my payment today.
- 43:52I usually go, but today I said I'm going to mail in my payment.
- 43:56But Triad bank best customer service ever.
- 43:59Saint Louis equipment, stlmowerrepair.com.
- 44:03Buy a mower Skag, right, They'll fix your mower.
- 44:07Small engine machines. I have a Crest battery operated
- 44:10trimmer. I have a Husqvarna blower.
- 44:12Great STL equipment, Saint Louis lawn care, mulch, all that.
- 44:16They do it aeration, bug control and then corner butcher
- 44:21grilling. It's grilling season, baby.
- 44:22And chop house. They're in the same building now
- 44:24in Fenton. They moved to the same building.
- 44:26I'm going to go. I think I'm going to corner
- 44:28butcher tomorrow and chop house. All right, let's see here.
- 44:32Couple more. Here we go.
- 44:35We'll go past 50 minutes. How about that?
- 44:36We'll go at least two more minutes.
- 44:39Sandwich man. Weren't the Cardinals pushing
- 44:40for Palante to be a reliever? And Palante had to speak up for
- 44:43himself and prove that he's a better starter.
- 44:44Kind of embarrassing the Cardinals couldn't see that.
- 44:46Yeah, it's kind of a lot of. There's a lot of things like
- 44:49that. The Cardinals not being great.
- 44:52How about Zach Thompson? Whatever happened to him?
- 44:54Right. Reliever, starter.
- 44:55Reliever, starter. Just up, down.
- 44:57Blah, blah, blah. Jaime Garcia.
- 45:01Yeah, that was a little earlier. Jaime Garcia is one of those
- 45:04guys where until you look him up, you don't realize how good
- 45:07he was until you go back and look at his numbers.
- 45:09Also, how much money he made. A lot.
- 45:11I can't remember what it was. It was more than I thought.
- 45:14Here we go. Ghostface Gaming.
- 45:16First base Burley. Second base.
- 45:17Donovan Shortstop win third base.
- 45:19Arenado Contreras catching Newt Siani.
- 45:22Walker Gorman bench. Scott Baker.
- 45:25This is a Jaycee Pies rotation. Gray Scherzer.
- 45:30Scherzer has to end up as a cardinal at the end of his
- 45:32career. It's just the way it should be.
- 45:34Although, do you want that? Now?
- 45:35He's older, but for business, it's good for business content.
- 45:39Max Scherzer needs to be a cardinal for at least one year.
- 45:41I'm sorry. He just does.
- 45:44OK. Oh, Flaherty.
- 45:45There you go. Let's see.
- 45:49Joe Madden is still my dream manager.
- 45:52Jack Flaherty. I think that's fair.
- 45:54Kim Valker. Jack Flaherty For a while.
- 45:56Yeah, I think. Look, Jack Flaherty didn't
- 45:58finish 3rd in the Cy Young whatever year that was, 2019
- 46:02Jack Flaherty was definitely a front end starter and and
- 46:06certainly is now. So I think that's fair.
- 46:08I think that's fair for sure. How about this Ghostface Gaming
- 46:13Max Serger signs one year deal and retires a Cardinal.
- 46:15I love that. I love that they have enough old
- 46:18guys between Michaelis, Matz, Gray, whatever happens with
- 46:24Gibson, Lynn. Is Lynn going to retire on the
- 46:28injured list? Was that his last time ever
- 46:30pitching? I don't know.
- 46:32So it is what it is. It is what it is, folks.
- 46:36That's what people say when they have nothing else to say.
- 46:38And I'm pretty much at that point.
- 46:40Sandwich, man. Why is Michaelis still in
- 46:41rotation? Payroll politics, I guess.
- 46:43Yeah, And Michaelis should not be gifted a spot for 2025.
- 46:47I think we can all agree on that.
- 46:50Ghostface Gaming. I take Skip Schumacher as
- 46:52manager if he's available. Move on from out.
- 46:54Yes, I would, too. Again, I don't, I don't think
- 46:57Ollie's the biggest problem, but if you told me we're bringing
- 47:00Skip back over Ollie, I would sign off on that for sure.
- 47:03All right, let's shut her down. We're over 50 minutes.
- 47:06Thank you so much, everybody, for jumping on and commenting
- 47:11and subscribing and liking and all that.
- 47:14And oh, look, I did that by accident.
- 47:18Need to have one about who we trade.
- 47:20Oh, yeah, OK, we'll do that. Yeah.
- 47:22We'll do all these things. We'll do a bunch in the
- 47:24offseason. Man, the off season is going to
- 47:26be more interesting than the season.
- 47:28Let's be real. I may, I may turn this channel,
- 47:30by the way, into a Cleveland Guardians fan account for
- 47:34October because I'm a Guardians fan now and I want them to run
- 47:37deep. So I'm I think I'm going to be
- 47:40following the Guardians, hopefully watching all the
- 47:42games. So maybe I turn this for one
- 47:44month if it's that long. We want the Guardians to run
- 47:47deep. I may turn this into a Cleveland
- 47:48Guardians fan account. OK, let's see, I'll read a
- 47:52couple more. Daniel Warden.
- 47:54I don't know why, but I want Scherzer to be a color
- 47:56commentator on Bally's after he retires.
- 47:58That'd be fun. That'd be fun.
- 48:01John Hartfield. MO was pretty good for 10 years,
- 48:03inherited a lot of good pieces. Tony, Albert, Yachty, Adam.
- 48:06He's not replaced them. Talent evaluation is poor and he
- 48:09fired good manager for pettiness.
- 48:11He's run his course, I agree with that.
- 48:13Time for MO to move on big picture.
- 48:17I care, Charlie, I like that you aren't a cards Homer and
- 48:20therefore are usually fair and objective.
- 48:21I try to be. I try to be folks.
- 48:24I try to be fair. Also go to try a bank.
- 48:27But also everybody settle down. If you like news and politics.
- 48:30that Channel is growing, baby. I'm going to do a live stream
- 48:33with Eric Messersmith at 2:00 Central time today.
- 48:38I just noticed also my battery's about to run out because I
- 48:40didn't plug in my charger. So I really got to get going
- 48:43here. One more J Renegade Rides.
- 48:48What if MO has meticulously planned this out perfectly?
- 48:50Next year's final year? The Cards go deep.
- 48:52That'd be fun. That'd be great.
- 48:53That'd be a great way to end the John Mosaic tenure, which has
- 48:56been more good than bad, but not great lately.
- 49:01OK, here we go. I keep going.
- 49:05Ghostface Gaming. Go, Cardinals.
- 49:07Let's get back to postseason. Next season.
- 49:08Let's go. Yes.
- 49:10And here we go. J Renegade rides.
- 49:13That's the copium, I tell myself.
- 49:15You got to cope. Sometimes you got to take
- 49:17copium. All right, thank you.
- 49:18I'm officially done now. 53 minutes comment like subscribe,
- 49:23press that subscribe button right now if you haven't
- 49:25subscribed. I'm a little under the weather.
- 49:28And once again, thank you to Triad Bank, Saint Louis Lawn
- 49:30care, Saint Louis equipment, corn butcher and chophouse in
- 49:33Fenton. Thank you so much for watching
- 49:35everybody love you all and stream.
