- 0:20SPEAKER_01: And now, here's Steve and Jeff.
- 0:25SPEAKER_02: Well, hey Johnny, thanks for bringing us into the show.
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: And Jeff, great to be back here.
- 0:30SPEAKER_02: How's it going?
- 0:31SPEAKER_03: It's going great.
- 0:32SPEAKER_03: You know, Steve, for whatever reason, I just feel so productive.
- 0:36SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 0:36SPEAKER_03: Like alert.
- 0:37SPEAKER_03: That's a new feeling for you, right?
- 0:39SPEAKER_03: That's completely a new feeling.
- 0:42SPEAKER_03: I don't know what it is.
- 0:43SPEAKER_03: Although my wife pointed out to me that this is uh my fifth anniversary of being off all drugs.
- 0:52SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 0:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, well, not all drugs, but all hard drugs.
- 0:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and and when I say being off them, I don't mean getting off because I'm high, although, you know, I could be, but and when I say hard, I don't mean like rock hard, if you know what I mean.
- 1:08SPEAKER_03: I you know, it's it's not any of those.
- 1:10SPEAKER_03: But but regardless, it's kind of a mature hard, if you will.
- 1:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's a mature hard.
- 1:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:15SPEAKER_02: Well, and I'm I'm glad that you can finger it.
- 1:17SPEAKER_02: I mean, you know, put your finger on it, why why that is.
- 1:20SPEAKER_02: But yeah, you know, the way you're talking there, Jeff, I gotta I gotta say, it sounds like you have found perhaps another addiction.
- 1:26SPEAKER_02: Watching when he runs a green acre, you're doing the Hank Kimball talk.
- 1:30SPEAKER_02: But you know, I I'll tell you, it's great you're off the hard or the semi-soft drugs or whatever, whatever those were.
- 1:36SPEAKER_03: The flaccid flaccid drugs.
- 1:38SPEAKER_02: The flaccid drugs, yeah.
- 1:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's you know, but you know, your new addiction to 60 C V, it's not that unusual, you know.
- 1:46SPEAKER_02: I because I I have read a lot of books and talked to a lot of yeah, we've had a lot of psychologists and authors on the show and stuff, and they've they have said that when someone has one addiction, if they quit that addiction, quite often they go to another one.
- 2:02SPEAKER_02: You know, maybe somebody gives up smoking and they start to eat more, or they give up gambling and then they start crocheting blankets.
- 2:10SPEAKER_02: Or, hey, you know, who knows?
- 2:11SPEAKER_02: Maybe they give up going to Epstein's Island after their 17th trip and and become president.
- 2:16SPEAKER_02: I mean, you know, king.
- 2:18SPEAKER_02: You know, you know, things like that.
- 2:20SPEAKER_03: Well, now that you mention it, I I I Steve, I think I have all those addictions right now.
- 2:25SPEAKER_03: So I but I think I may have had them while I was getting stoned.
- 2:28SPEAKER_03: And and that reminds me, do you do you like that blanket that I crocheted for you for your birthday?
- 2:32SPEAKER_02: Oh, you know, well, first, let me say how great it is.
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: I think it's just wonderful that you took up crocheting blankets.
- 2:39SPEAKER_02: That's typically something people associate with women.
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: You didn't let the gender stereotypes hold you back.
- 2:45SPEAKER_02: You know, it's like I always say, gender, barely newer, but I digress.
- 2:52SPEAKER_02: The the blanket's outstanding.
- 2:53SPEAKER_02: The blanket's great.
- 2:54SPEAKER_02: I I especially love the jokes that you embroidered in them.
- 2:58SPEAKER_02: And the embroidering jokes in my, I mean, that must take taking some time.
- 3:01SPEAKER_02: I mean, particularly that Holocaust joke.
- 3:03SPEAKER_02: I mean, that must have taken a really long time.
- 3:04SPEAKER_02: That was hilarious, though.
- 3:06SPEAKER_02: I I gotta ask, did you you get that one from Marjorie Taylor Green?
- 3:09SPEAKER_03: Well, all my Holocaust jokes are from Marjorie Taylor Green.
- 3:12SPEAKER_03: I think that's pretty obvious, right?
- 3:14SPEAKER_03: But uh but I do feel better.
- 3:16SPEAKER_03: And so what about you?
- 3:17SPEAKER_03: How was your week?
- 3:18SPEAKER_02: Very, very hectic.
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: Oh man, first I had to fill up the car with gas, and our gas station changed his name.
- 3:25SPEAKER_02: You know, it's always it's always been come and go, but now some genius changed it to nut and cut.
- 3:30SPEAKER_02: I mean, I I I mean, I guess that's less offensive.
- 3:33SPEAKER_02: I mean, I don't but again I digress.
- 3:36SPEAKER_02: Uh very, very hectic weekend.
- 3:38SPEAKER_02: I did some work, but it was really it was hard to fit it in because I was really busy, you know.
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: I was eating, I was sleeping, I was hanging out on the couch, I was watching TV.
- 3:49SPEAKER_02: I mean, you know, that that stuff takes time, you know.
- 3:52SPEAKER_02: Oh, and and and and speaking of TV, I saw one of those after school specials, you know, the ones of those just say no to drugs shows.
- 4:01SPEAKER_02: I think it was a rerun from like 40 years ago.
- 4:03SPEAKER_02: And they, of course, they showed it at 3 45 a.m.
- 4:06SPEAKER_02: So maybe the same people who saw it in the 80s were watching it again.
- 4:10SPEAKER_02: It'd be kind of fun, right?
- 4:11SPEAKER_02: It was quite good.
- 4:13SPEAKER_02: Uh, even though you're not a kid anymore, and now you don't do drugs anymore, you might still find it interesting.
- 4:20SPEAKER_03: Steve, I think I've seen a lot of those movies.
- 4:23SPEAKER_03: I think you were in a few of them too, weren't you?
- 4:25SPEAKER_03: I may have.
- 4:26SPEAKER_03: I think it's typecasting.
- 4:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah, well, yes.
- 4:29SPEAKER_03: But uh I've seen a lot of them.
- 4:31SPEAKER_03: But speaking of drugs, have you seen my gummies?
- 4:34SPEAKER_03: I I left them in the cafeteria along with the the brownies and that I brought over, and and they're both gone.
- 4:41SPEAKER_02: I I You know, Jeff, I didn't see it, but that's probably a good thing, particularly since you've given up drugs.
- 4:47SPEAKER_02: If I had seen them, you know, we might never get to this story about you giving up drugs or even get to our guest tonight.
- 4:54SPEAKER_02: You know, we might just kind of sit and talk, you know, and just kind of let time pass.
- 4:58SPEAKER_02: But but anyway, the the show, this after-school special that I saw, began with a guy, kind of a normal guy.
- 5:05SPEAKER_02: I think he was from Chicago, uh, but is originally from central Illinois.
- 5:11SPEAKER_02: And boy, he had it all.
- 5:12SPEAKER_02: He had wealth, fame, looks, a great family.
- 5:16SPEAKER_02: His life could not be better.
- 5:18SPEAKER_02: But one morning, a friend of his offered him a marijuana joint.
- 5:23SPEAKER_02: That's a that's what they that's what the hippies call the marijuana cigarette, is a joint.
- 5:28SPEAKER_03: Did his friend co-host a podcast with him eventually later on?
- 5:33SPEAKER_02: Yes, yes, I think so.
- 5:34SPEAKER_02: I I think they started a podcast together.
- 5:37SPEAKER_02: I think I've seen this movie.
- 5:38SPEAKER_02: But of course, this is 40 years ago, so it wasn't a podcast.
- 5:44SPEAKER_02: So they just broadcast it in like their living rooms.
- 5:47SPEAKER_02: Uh I I think it was called the Stephen Jeff Comedy Hour.
- 5:50SPEAKER_02: It was on right after Fire Sang Theater.
- 5:52unknown: Uh-huh.
- 5:53SPEAKER_02: So this guy, I think his I think his name was Jeff.
- 5:56SPEAKER_02: He loved smoking that joint, as they call it.
- 6:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 6:00SPEAKER_02: But that led him to trying amphetamines, you know, things like speed and other amphetamines.
- 6:07SPEAKER_02: And he got an even stronger buzz.
- 6:10SPEAKER_02: Oh, of course, he loved that.
- 6:11SPEAKER_02: That was that was why he was doing it.
- 6:13SPEAKER_02: That was what he was seeking.
- 6:14SPEAKER_02: Then you, I mean, well, I mean, him in this show, wanted something more powerful.
- 6:20SPEAKER_02: So he tried meth.
- 6:22SPEAKER_02: And that boy, that that was really, really powerful.
- 6:25SPEAKER_02: That practically knocked him out.
- 6:26SPEAKER_02: But he enjoyed that so much, wanted an even better high.
- 6:31SPEAKER_02: So this is the 80s, right?
- 6:33SPEAKER_02: So he moved on up to cocaine, which was, yeah, you know, very popular party drug of that era, but it made him a little edgy.
- 6:40SPEAKER_02: So he needed to calm down a little bit.
- 6:42SPEAKER_02: So he decided, well, I'll calm down.
- 6:44SPEAKER_02: I think heroin is the thing that'll calm me down.
- 6:46SPEAKER_02: And so it did, and but caused a really big addiction, of course, too.
- 6:50SPEAKER_02: And and of course, since he wasn't paying attention to what he was doing, he had unprotected sex and that girl got pregnant.
- 7:01SPEAKER_03: Wow, that is really depressing.
- 7:03SPEAKER_03: So so what happened to him after that?
- 7:06SPEAKER_02: Well, I'm not really sure because the movie ended with him having dinner and watching Green Acre.
- 7:11SPEAKER_02: So I don't know.
- 7:12SPEAKER_02: Like I say, it was a busy day.
- 7:13SPEAKER_02: You know, it was hectic.
- 7:14SPEAKER_02: I had all this stuff.
- 7:15SPEAKER_02: I think they made another movie about his life called uh I think it was called something like Ferris Epstein's Day Off or something.
- 7:22SPEAKER_02: But uh-huh.
- 7:23SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 7:24SPEAKER_03: Well, I guess it's a slippery slope and a and a steep slippery slope.
- 7:29SPEAKER_03: And say that ten times really fast.
- 7:31SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 7:32SPEAKER_03: Uh I was a complete mess.
- 7:35SPEAKER_03: I mean, sound he sounded like he was a complete mess, but kind of a fun day when you think about it.
- 7:41SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, absolutely.
- 7:42SPEAKER_02: It was a really fun day, and it led right into another after school special about teen pregnancy.
- 7:47SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
- 7:48SPEAKER_02: See, but in that one, you learn teen pregnancy is not funny.
- 7:51SPEAKER_02: You know, of course there are jokes about it, but it's not funny, especially if it's part of your business model.
- 7:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know what I mean?
- 7:58SPEAKER_02: But but but the cool part is I found the guy who consulted on the movie, and I invited him to be on our show to talk about the dangers of drugs and you know, I guess the dangers of sex too, at least according to his book.
- 8:11SPEAKER_02: His book is called Just Say No to Everything, especially Drugs and Sex.
- 8:16SPEAKER_02: Uh, I'm not sure if he literally means everything, but maybe we can find out.
- 8:20SPEAKER_02: His name is Eddie Getgo, and I saw him in the studio, I thought I did at least, but he's not on the other side of that glass.
- 8:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, funny you say that.
- 8:31SPEAKER_03: I I noticed this guy in the cafeteria earlier a couple hours ago, and he was eating some of those cookies that I brought back from my dad's last parole hearing party, you know, the one where we were almost for sure that he was gonna get out.
- 8:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean, then he didn't.
- 8:47SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 8:47SPEAKER_03: And I I thought this guy was your friend.
- 8:49SPEAKER_03: Uh, you know, it looks like Claire's missing too.
- 8:52SPEAKER_03: So I don't know.
- 8:53SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 8:53SPEAKER_02: Oh, if he's if he was eating those cookies, hmm.
- 8:57SPEAKER_02: Oh, oh no, there he is.
- 8:58SPEAKER_02: He's there with Claire.
- 8:59SPEAKER_02: Claire, he's got him in the engineer's booth.
- 9:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 9:02SPEAKER_02: Hey, Eddie, welcome to our show.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: Uh uh thank thank thank you for having me.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: It's it's a pleasure to be here.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: Sorry for uh being late, but uh for some reason I I lost uh track of time uh thanks to your lovely producer Claire.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: Uh oh uh thank you for the the pre-interview treats.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: Um not usually a uh sweets guy, but those were delicious, especially those brownies to die for.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: Uh where where can I get some?
- 9:36SPEAKER_03: I I brought those from Chicago and uh I got them at I guess it's a bakery.
- 9:42SPEAKER_03: It's it's an organic bakery.
- 9:45SPEAKER_03: I think it's called edibles, schmedables, and rolling paper emporium.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: Excellent.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: I'll write that down.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: Uh so so thank you for having me on your show.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: And uh Steve, I was I was glad to hear from you.
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: Uh it's important to to spread the word of your vast and potent audience.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: And that word is no.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: Uh uh obviously.
- 10:11SPEAKER_02: Oh, absolutely.
- 10:12SPEAKER_02: And and you know, Eddie, you're so welcome.
- 10:15SPEAKER_02: So just to start out here, tell us a little bit about yourself, uh, Mr.
- 10:19SPEAKER_02: Getgo.
- 10:19SPEAKER_02: Uh and your bio says you're from Illinois and you're a licensed psychologist.
- 10:25SPEAKER_02: Now that's impressive, you know, especially that psychologist part.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: Uh thank thank you.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: So so so so so so much.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: I I I was wondering, is is beautiful uh Claire married or out of high school?
- 10:43SPEAKER_03: Uh you know, to be honest, I really don't know.
- 10:46SPEAKER_03: We try not to go too deep into Claire's background.
- 10:49SPEAKER_03: You know, it's we kind of got this don't ask, don't tell policy.
- 10:53SPEAKER_03: You know, sometimes people want their privacy, sometimes it's a little scary, but it sounds like it had a really big impact on this movie that you consulted for.
- 11:04SPEAKER_03: What what role did you play in this movie?
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: Uh well uh my my role is not only to help with the script, but to uh make sure no funny business was going on while filming the movie.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: Uh and speaking of rolls, do you have any of those like Hawaiian rolls and maybe some some ham?
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: Uh it's it's been hours since I've eaten for some reason.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: I am I am starving.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: Uh maybe a little bit of like Swiss cheese and some some brown mustard and some chocolate-covered raisins and maybe like a vanilla shake.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: I am my throat is so dry.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: If that isn't too much trouble.
- 11:48SPEAKER_02: Well, well, no problem.
- 11:49SPEAKER_02: You know, I'm I'm starting to get a little hungry myself.
- 11:51SPEAKER_02: You know, maybe I mean Claire's our producer.
- 11:53SPEAKER_02: Maybe I can ask Claire to go out and get it.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: Oh no, no, that seems like a lot to ask for her to do it alone.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: Can I can I give can I give her a ride?
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: Give give her that's something you never do.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: Remember, just just say just say no.
- 12:11SPEAKER_03: You you could go with her, but we're in the middle of an interview, so it might be kind of hard for us to interview you while you're in the car.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: So right.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: I mean, plus driving right now seems kind of kind of scary.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: There's lots of traffic out there, and well, what if I get lost or get pulled over?
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: That's a that's a strange term.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: Getting pulled by a getting pulled by a cop is just bizarre.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: Okay, now now getting pulled up, you know, like getting like pull up by your pants makes sense.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: Oh pulling them down.
- 12:50SPEAKER_02: But you know, I I bet if Lauren Boebert was a cop, you wouldn't mind getting pulled by that cop, uh in the in the theater, whatever.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: But yeah, Beetlejuice would be the least of the experience.
- 13:01SPEAKER_02: That's exactly it.
- 13:03SPEAKER_02: Interesting way to look at it, you know.
- 13:04SPEAKER_02: So uh tell me, Eddie, uh, if I can call you that.
- 13:07SPEAKER_02: Uh where did you oh Eddie's good?
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you're welcome.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: You're welcome to call me Eddie.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's that's my dad's name, or what's my mom's name?
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: Uh I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: What was what was the question?
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 13:20SPEAKER_02: I I I was gonna ask, where did you first decide that people need to say no to everything?
- 13:27SPEAKER_02: Uh I assume this is like drugs, this is sex, this is uh say no to everything.
- 13:33SPEAKER_02: I is was that based on personal experience?
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: Hey, you guys ever think about getting that company that makes like edibles as like advertisers?
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: I mean these things are real good.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: And they're addictive and and what what about that word addictive?
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: Addictive sounds sexual to me.
- 13:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I guess so.
- 14:02SPEAKER_03: And but I know that you're a very strong proponent of eliminating uh all drugs.
- 14:07SPEAKER_03: Does that include prescription drugs or just street drugs?
- 14:14SPEAKER_00: Okay, I think I I don't think streets should have drugs because what are they gonna do with it, right?
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: Exactly, exactly.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: It's that's why they call it waste.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: Okay, the only the only drug we're keeping is Viagra.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: Hey eliminating hard drugs, but Viagra isn't a hard drug, but it creates hard.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: That's pretty good, right?
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: That's pretty funny.
- 14:47SPEAKER_02: That is, you know, Eddie, you've just got an amazing way to to express yourself and to look at these issues, these really important issues.
- 14:55SPEAKER_02: But uh are there any are there any triggers that people should watch out for?
- 15:00SPEAKER_02: Because you know, a lot of times people start down the path because something happens, because they're in a like a near occasion of of doing something like this.
- 15:08SPEAKER_02: Uh what what triggers should people be careful to avoid that could lead them toward doing drugs or having sex?
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: Hey, I rem I remember trigger.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: Trigger trigger was that was Mr.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: Was that Mr.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: Roy Rogers?
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: Was it was it was Mr.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: Ed you know, I was named after the show.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: The the the get-go part.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: Hi oh trigger, get go.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 15:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's quite the buffet you brought, Jeff.
- 15:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah, man.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: I am thirsty.
- 15:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah, maybe we can help.
- 15:45SPEAKER_02: Oh, I think we do see.
- 15:46SPEAKER_02: I think yeah, we do have some some water, and I I think uh I think well, actually, Miss Claire is sending the engineer in with the water.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: Okay, okay.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: Hey, bud.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: Hey, buddy.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: So okay.
- 15:59SPEAKER_03: So back to the interview for a second here.
- 16:03SPEAKER_03: How do you see drugs and sex connected to each other?
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: Well, these are before you have sex.
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: No, I'm just I'm just kidding.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: Okay, okay.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: Remember straight line.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: No means no.
- 16:17SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 16:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: But seriously, it it all it all starts with with letting your impulses and thoughts that drug release, and and then it combines them with raw sex to make like a dangerous cocktail.
- 16:33SPEAKER_00: That's another one of those words.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: Speaking of uh speaking of cocktail, that is that is a term.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: You're addicted to cocktails.
- 16:46SPEAKER_02: That is kind of one of the interesting things about the English language, you know.
- 16:49SPEAKER_02: We we've got so many little circular words that way.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: But I don't like the English language.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: There's too many silent letters.
- 16:57SPEAKER_02: Oh, absolutely.
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: They they know too much and they don't want to say anything.
- 17:01SPEAKER_02: It's uh there's so many phantom silent letters.
- 17:04SPEAKER_02: Oh, see what I did there?
- 17:05SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: There's five vowels and two of them are silent when they're next to each other.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: I don't trust it.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know, any uh Jeff had asked about prescription drugs, but you know, there are some medical drugs too that are used for they're not necessarily I mean, they're controlled substances, they're not really given as prescriptions, but they're they're used in surgery, things like that.
- 17:26SPEAKER_02: And there have been some movement to get rid of those drugs as well, to make those illegal.
- 17:33SPEAKER_02: Do you think they should be illegal as well?
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: Absolutely, absolutely, and that includes the um the V vacuums, vaccines.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, yeah, those are the worst kind of drugs.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: Okay, injections are are okay, especially after we're porn.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: Wait, wait, not sure why I said that.
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: Uh uh anyway, uh, I I guess it's a little drug humor, which I give as an example, and then should be banned to.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: Well, I guess nature pours a vaccine.
- 18:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: And no, you inject a vaccine, you don't pour it.
- 18:11SPEAKER_03: Oh, oh, okay.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: It's in a needle, right?
- 18:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 18:15SPEAKER_03: So besides consulting on the movie, are you are you doing anything else right now besides you know, consulting and reading and writing books?
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: I guess is what I'm doing now.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: You know, I'm on the the talk show circuit with with your show.
- 18:33SPEAKER_00: I'm also working um with the Republican Party on helping people learn to hate all drugs and sex, you know.
- 18:43SPEAKER_00: Um, you're doing quite the job.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, a perfect I mean, right, right.
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: Steve would definitely see see my handiwork because I'm working directly in Nebraska.
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: Ah you know, look, I I I got nothing against the state, but 71% of people are are are in favor of legalizing pot, but we're working around the cock.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: I mean the clock, okay, to to to keep it illegal, you know.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: Uh voters don't know.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: Voters the vote.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: I mean, how how smart can a state be when they only have one house?
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: There you go.
- 19:21SPEAKER_00: You know, it's exactly a no fun for during trick-or-treating.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: Not at all.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: Not at all.
- 19:26SPEAKER_03: Gosh.
- 19:27SPEAKER_00: And in and it's not even one of the good houses.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: Like it's it's not even like the the king size house, it's it's a fruit leather house, which is only like two steps away from a penny's house.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: Uh, but but right now, uh like I said, I'm creating new stats to support the say no movement.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: Speaking of movements, do you guys have a bathroom in here?
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: I I used to I used your job rolling papers, and uh, they're really kind of small and they don't really work well.
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: They kind of just turn it into a straw.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: Let's see.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: Did you guys got any real toilet paper?
- 20:05SPEAKER_02: Well, you know, I we have these new expanded bathrooms now, and uh, I'm I'm sure if there's no toilet, I'm sure we we've got some here somewhere.
- 20:14SPEAKER_02: I'm sure Claire can get you some.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: Okay, that would be great.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: Shh, it's so wonderful.
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: And look again, you ask, you should ask her questions and get to know her better.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: And it's just me, you've been doing this interview for like hours.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: Starving, okay?
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: You got anything in the blonde, and I don't mean I don't mean Claire's beautiful ears.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: Oh, maybe I do.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: I mean, you put a little mayo on it and a tomato, and you put it in between two sweet rolls, and there you have it.
- 20:49SPEAKER_02: Oh wow.
- 20:50SPEAKER_02: You know, Eddie, if you're really hungry, I think I'm looking out and kind of see the buffet outside the engineer's booth, and it looks like there's some brownies left.
- 21:01SPEAKER_03: That's a good idea, Steve.
- 21:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 21:04SPEAKER_02: I'll have the engineer bring that in.
- 21:06SPEAKER_02: But no, Eddie, we're uh Eddie still there?
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was yeah, I'm I'm here.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: I was just trying to figure out if that was a push or a pull door.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: Ah, okay.
- 21:14SPEAKER_02: Well, it's it's kind of like pulled by the cops, right?
- 21:18SPEAKER_02: Think cop, it's pull.
- 21:19SPEAKER_02: And it is cop, right?
- 21:21SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 21:21SPEAKER_02: Yes, exactly.
- 21:23SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 21:24SPEAKER_02: So what were we talking about?
- 21:26SPEAKER_02: Well, you know, Eddie, we are almost about to get kicked out of eccentric Ladyland Studios here.
- 21:32SPEAKER_02: So I just I just want to say, you know, is there anything else you'd want to say to our audience before we end this interview?
- 21:38SPEAKER_02: Because you know, some of the some of the issues here, some of these listeners are really are probably facing very tough issues like this.
- 21:44SPEAKER_02: Like what do they do?
- 21:46SPEAKER_02: What choices do they make in their life?
- 21:48SPEAKER_02: And maybe do you have anything that you would say to them to help them say no to everything?
- 21:55SPEAKER_02: What oh, okay.
- 21:59SPEAKER_02: Uh well I think uh maybe maybe I should put it a different way.
- 22:04SPEAKER_02: Maybe let me rephrase it.
- 22:06SPEAKER_02: Uh do you have anything that you'd like to say as we are about to end this interview?
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: And uh end the inter we just got started.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: And it sounds like having sex.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: You know, I I'm I'm always bad about that.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: I feel like it's over just as soon as I start it.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's kind of like nut and cut, right?
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: I don't get gas, someone else pumps it for me.
- 22:32SPEAKER_02: Ah, it's the pump and dump.
- 22:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you know, Steve, going into this interview, I was thinking this is gonna be boring, and you know, Eddie was gonna be, you know, like sort of a typical Republican, you know, just really strident.
- 22:47SPEAKER_03: Eddie's really kind of a relaxed, cool guy.
- 22:51SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he's a cool guy.
- 22:52SPEAKER_02: Well, and and you know, you know, he's got great taste because I gotta tell you, I ate a couple of those brownies too, and I'm I'm feeling kind of I don't know, sedate.
- 23:01SPEAKER_02: I'm thinking you know, the sun is really pretty.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: Have you guys ever looked at the back of your hands?
- 23:08SPEAKER_02: Oh, I no, I gotta now.
- 23:10SPEAKER_02: Oh man.
- 23:10SPEAKER_02: Oh man.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: And it's weird because it's it it looks like a mountain range, yeah, but you can touch it, but you can't touch the back of your own hands.
- 23:21SPEAKER_02: And it's little rivers, and gosh, yeah, there's an island.
- 23:25SPEAKER_02: No, wait, that's an aid spot.
- 23:26SPEAKER_02: Oh wow, amazing.
- 23:30SPEAKER_02: That is cool, and the mountains have these little like ridges under them, you know, it's so cool.
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: When I close my eyes, I can see the back of my eyelids.
- 23:40SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 23:40SPEAKER_03: I can see the back of your eyelids too, from here.
- 23:44SPEAKER_03: What?
- 23:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's cool.
- 23:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah, okay.
- 23:47SPEAKER_02: Oh, Jeff had three or four of the brownies, I think.
- 23:49SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 23:50SPEAKER_03: Although I gave up the hard stuff, you know, the the the real crusty part of the brownies.
- 23:55SPEAKER_03: Well, you right, exactly.
- 23:57SPEAKER_02: You're the chewy brownie, not the crisp brownie.
- 24:00SPEAKER_02: I love the chewy brownies.
- 24:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah, the chewy brownie.
- 24:02SPEAKER_02: That's that's the that's weird.
- 24:04SPEAKER_02: Chewy.
- 24:06SPEAKER_02: Okay, there's a fun word too, chewy, right?
- 24:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: I you know what?
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: I think there's one thing we can all agree on, guys.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: I'm so glad the government's not regulating our drugs.
- 24:16SPEAKER_02: Oh, absolutely.
- 24:17SPEAKER_02: Can you imagine?
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: Oh imagine.
- 24:19SPEAKER_02: I we wouldn't be able to do a show like this.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it'd standardize it and tax it to Kingdom Come.
- 24:25SPEAKER_02: Oh, absolutely.
- 24:27SPEAKER_02: Tariff it's so nice that it's it's just in the free market and it's it's just it's a caveat emptor sort of thing, you know?
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:37SPEAKER_00: Tara flow is weird words too, because it's two, it's the same letter next to each other, but you only hear one F.
- 24:43SPEAKER_02: Yes, it is.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: Too many of them, man.
- 24:47SPEAKER_00: I don't trust them.
- 24:49SPEAKER_03: Eddie, you're really deep.
- 24:51SPEAKER_03: And I don't I don't mean deep in a sexual way.
- 24:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 24:56SPEAKER_02: Gender, I barely knew her.
- 24:59SPEAKER_03: Wow.
- 25:01SPEAKER_03: Uh you know, can you get a contact high by uh an i by interviewing somebody?
- 25:07SPEAKER_02: Well, I I think you can get a contact high by eating two brownies.
- 25:11SPEAKER_02: Yes, that's true.
- 25:12SPEAKER_02: Which you know, or or by interviewing someone.
- 25:15SPEAKER_02: I you know, when I touch that glass, I think maybe there's something on the glass.
- 25:19SPEAKER_03: Well, I would have had two brownies, but somebody ate most of them before the show, and I'm not sure.
- 25:25SPEAKER_02: Oh man, I just had two.
- 25:27SPEAKER_02: Two on the smaller side.
- 25:29SPEAKER_02: One of them was even a little crunchy too, and I even ate it.
- 25:32SPEAKER_02: What the heck?
- 25:35SPEAKER_03: Well, yeah.
- 25:37SPEAKER_02: Well, man, I don't know.
- 25:38SPEAKER_02: You know, it seems like we should seem like we should leave, but I you know.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: Are we gonna do the interview sometime soon?
- 25:47SPEAKER_02: We uh you know, we don't really need to do an interview per se.
- 25:52SPEAKER_02: You know, we can just do like uh we can just kind of talk and you know, maybe get the points across that way.
- 26:00SPEAKER_03: You know, Steve, you end every show with Johnny, can you take us out of this episode?
- 26:06SPEAKER_03: I really have serious questions whether Johnny can at this point.
- 26:10SPEAKER_02: I you know, you know, when I wasn't at the buffet, Johnny was.
- 26:14SPEAKER_02: Oh we'll we'll see, we'll see what Johnny, what Johnny has to say, but I think they that engineer is giving me looks, and this is the guy I like.
- 26:23SPEAKER_02: This isn't the guy that I hated before.
- 26:25SPEAKER_02: This guy's okay, and he's giving me looks now.
- 26:28SPEAKER_02: So I'm thinking I'm thinking we're gonna get thrown out of here, but maybe maybe let's give it let's give it a try.
- 26:35SPEAKER_02: Hey Johnny, can you can you get us out of this show, please, I think, somehow?
- 26:41SPEAKER_02: Johnny.
- 26:45SPEAKER_01: Great steer.
- 26:47SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: Those brownies were good.
- 26:52SPEAKER_01: This has been a total consciousness production in association with since the media media.
- 27:00SPEAKER_01: You can read all about Steve's Jeff at their website, StephenJoff.com.
- 27:06SPEAKER_01: This is Johnny speaking.
- 27:09SPEAKER_01: I feel so different from when Steve's mom and I down a court of pop off.
- 27:14SPEAKER_01: She's gotta try this.
- 27:17SPEAKER_01: Oh, I bet she says yes.
