- 0:00So I just want to invite my joy listeners today.
- 0:03I am have a special guest, Dr. Patrick Flynn,
- 0:06DC. And Dr. Patrick is a chiropractor, a current
- 0:09medical student for masters of immunology and
- 0:13the founder of the wellness way. He is also the
- 0:16author of I still disagree. And this book can
- 0:19be found on his website at the wellness way .com
- 0:22along with a bunch of other awesome knowledge
- 0:25that I follow. So, Dr. Patrick, welcome to the
- 0:28podcast. I'm very excited to have you on. Oh,
- 0:31it's an honor. Very excited. I look up to you
- 0:34so much. I don't know if you're able to read
- 0:38over the notes, but I personally have just walked
- 0:42through a cancer journey two years ago. So, I
- 0:45was diagnosed in 24. I just recently got through
- 0:50all the surgeries and the treatment. So, I'm
- 0:52on the other side of it, thank goodness. One
- 0:56thing that I'm curious about, because whenever
- 1:01I went through this journey, it was all about
- 1:03now I'm holistic health and wellness. Like I
- 1:05wanted to know everything. That is when I came
- 1:08upon your page. So I've been following you ever
- 1:10since, but I saw you on Culture Apothecary with
- 1:15Alex Clark and I heard your story about when
- 1:17you and your wife first met. So I was wondering
- 1:20if you could share that story with my listeners,
- 1:21because I think it's fascinating. Yeah, and we
- 1:24were just finishing up school in 1999 in July.
- 1:28We met and we started dating and then she actually
- 1:31was very sick before I even met her since she
- 1:34was a teenager. And this time she was 22 and
- 1:36I'm 24. And she had four diagnosis codes. She
- 1:39had endometriosis, also have colitis, cystic
- 1:42acne and cluster headaches. And what had happened
- 1:45was she was extremely sick and then they told
- 1:48her she couldn't have children. And from the
- 1:50standpoint of what she was going through, she
- 1:52was She was going to many doctors, taking many
- 1:54medications. She was also taking a lot of supplements.
- 1:56She was also seeing a chiropractor. And she just
- 1:58continued to get worse. And so with the background
- 2:01I have and everything, which obviously is more
- 2:03than the chiropractor, and I'm currently, immunology
- 2:05has always been my major focus since I was even
- 2:07starting to practice, is the fact that I just
- 2:10knew there were some things going on that weren't
- 2:12answering the questions. And I started to figure
- 2:13them out. And of course, now 25 years later,
- 2:16we have, I see 27 years later, we have four beautiful
- 2:20daughters and healthiest can be. And I started
- 2:23with one practice here in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
- 2:25And with those concepts, we branched offices
- 2:27all over the United States and all over Europe.
- 2:30And it's just been nothing more than just sharing
- 2:32information where people can take control of
- 2:34their health and come from a different perspective.
- 2:37I do believe that so there's no confusion. I
- 2:39do believe I have great examples to understand
- 2:41what medicine is needed and when it's not and
- 2:43things like that. And there's no, I tell people.
- 2:46When it comes to healthcare, you just have to
- 2:48know what to use when and what's the best doctor
- 2:51to guide you at the time. And I think there's
- 2:53so much confusion when that happens. You hear
- 2:55from both sides, which I'm kind of in the middle,
- 2:57you're from the medical side, like, you know,
- 2:59you only do this and everything and holistic
- 3:01is ridiculous. And there's flip sides of people,
- 3:04like everything's holistic and medicine's bad.
- 3:06I'm like, guys, actually it's right in the middle.
- 3:08The vast majority of healthcare should be more
- 3:11of what we do, because we're so dominant in medications.
- 3:16And so therefore I said, it's just a way of actually
- 3:19starting to show people what they can do to take
- 3:21control of their own health. And I think that's
- 3:23what our current medical system does not like,
- 3:26you know, is the fact that it's like, and that's
- 3:28why I love the internet. That's why I love social
- 3:30media. That's why I love AI is yet you can find
- 3:33out that a lot of doctors say a lot of dumb stuff
- 3:36on a regular basis. You don't have to believe
- 3:37me. Back when I was a kid, you couldn't research
- 3:39stuff. So this wasn't one of my questions, but
- 3:43I do have a couple of friends that have gone
- 3:46through like IVF and they're not getting any
- 3:48answers from their DYN doctors or anything like
- 3:52that. They go through lab testing, all the tests
- 3:54possible, and they still don't get any answers.
- 3:57What advice would you have for them? Because
- 3:59your wife got pregnant with their, her problems.
- 4:02What advice would you give to them for like next
- 4:04steps? Let's go, let's go and let's take it from
- 4:06first of all, our current healthcare system is
- 4:08called the medical field. Okay. Is, um, you know,
- 4:11a woman can present with endocrine issues, immune
- 4:15issues, they can have uterine issues, like legitimately,
- 4:17I'm not joking, I left my meeting, I came right
- 4:19in here to make sure we start on time. And I
- 4:21literally, I can honestly tell you, I literally
- 4:23got an email, actually from a chiropractor to
- 4:25his wife, they sent me her ultrasound. Okay.
- 4:29And I literally have it, no joke, on my phone
- 4:30right here. And it's kind of funny, I just was
- 4:33walking, I popped up, here's your pelvic thin,
- 4:35obviously, I'm going to cover it up that way.
- 4:36But it's like you can actually see it right there.
- 4:38And because she says endometriosis. Now she's
- 4:42seeing very good doctors. Now what do I mean
- 4:44by good doctors? The vast majority, the vast
- 4:47majority of professionals, medical, endocrinologist,
- 4:52you know, pediatricians, all the doctors, they
- 4:55have the best interests in mind. They want to
- 4:57see the person get better, but their tools are
- 4:59limited. Just for example, come more on, like
- 5:02you said, the holistic realm. Most of them are
- 5:05very kind hearted. They want to help that way.
- 5:07But they all everybody has limited tools. I have
- 5:09limited tools. That's why there has to be that's
- 5:12why there has to be an interconnection of doctors.
- 5:13So when I was going to my wife's appointments,
- 5:16from their perspective, they're like, okay, the
- 5:20uterus has to come out. And now, understand the
- 5:23fact that they don't know how to get that your
- 5:25respect to normal. Okay, see, and they have no
- 5:29problem with that. So therefore, a uterus that
- 5:32is riddled with endometriosis, which on ultrasound,
- 5:35which on surgery because sometimes you have to
- 5:38do some exploratory surgery on some of these
- 5:39things to get a true diagnosis. If you take an
- 5:43implanted, even perfectly fertilized egg and
- 5:46try to implant it onto a bad uterus, it's not
- 5:49going to work. Do you understand? And see, remember,
- 5:51the reason why my wife was told she couldn't
- 5:54have children, if you ask the doctors her state
- 5:58of her health, I kind of agree with them. I really
- 6:00do. Her uterus was extremely thick, there was
- 6:03a lot of problems, scarring, everything like
- 6:05that. And from their perspective, not be able
- 6:07to do anything besides maybe scrape the uterus,
- 6:10but that still leaves problems there. The body
- 6:14has to start to get back to normal, because a
- 6:17normal function body will produce babies, a very
- 6:21sick body. And so if you just try to alter it
- 6:23and put IVF, which I'm a fan of IVF, I have no
- 6:26problem with IVF, but putting a fertilized egg
- 6:29onto a very bad uterus, It's not going to grab
- 6:31the bite. The body is so intelligent. It goes,
- 6:34I'm not going to be able to develop this baby.
- 6:35So it gets rid of it. I think miscarriages is
- 6:38a very sad, emotional thing. But you know what
- 6:41the body said? It's not going to work. It's not
- 6:43going to work. This could be detrimental for
- 6:45the baby I'm trying to develop, also for the
- 6:47mother itself. So miscarriages are not by mistake.
- 6:50The body just rids it because it's not the appropriate
- 6:52time. Wow. That's yeah, I agree with that. Um,
- 6:57so what was the deciding factor that made you
- 7:00go back for your master's for immunology? Was
- 7:02it just your wife's story or you said you always
- 7:05had. No, it's, uh, trying to get me in trouble
- 7:08now. Okay. So when I went to school, my focus
- 7:13was nutrition and immunology. All right. Um,
- 7:16and it was always more towards a holistic realm.
- 7:18That's why, for example, my health issue has
- 7:20even got me to even go to care about the school
- 7:22was failed medical things that happened with
- 7:25myself. My wife's story didn't happen until I
- 7:27was pretty much done with graduate school. I
- 7:29was literally three months from graduate school
- 7:31done with chiropractic school before I actually
- 7:32met her. Well, here's the point. But my undergraduate
- 7:35and my focus back in school, even in my postgraduate,
- 7:38was immunology and nutrition. Because yes, I
- 7:41have my doctorate in chiropractic, but there
- 7:43is a, which is absolutely incredible. It gives
- 7:45me a viewpoint on certain things, but it also
- 7:47gives me limited tools. You understand, just
- 7:49like a surgeon has limited tools. A general practitioner
- 7:51has limited tools. We all do, okay? But the major
- 7:55thinking that really helped me figure out a lot
- 7:58of problems in anybody was actually the immune
- 8:01system. It doesn't matter if it's fertility,
- 8:02it doesn't matter if it's cancer, it doesn't
- 8:03matter what it is. And so I've always been obsessed
- 8:05with the immune system. So I took postgraduate
- 8:08classes, even post undergraduate and also graduate
- 8:12school. And then what happened is this. COVID,
- 8:16because of my background in immunology, I realized
- 8:19that they lie constantly. Government scientists
- 8:22lied so badly. that what happens is just my basic
- 8:27training, just my basic courses, just all my
- 8:31undergraduate and stuff like that in immunology,
- 8:34it was so easy to show how much they lie about
- 8:36vaccines, how much they lie about viruses and
- 8:39bacteria and things like that. And I'm around
- 8:42PhD immunologists all the time now, but I also
- 8:44befriended people when I was an undergraduate
- 8:46in graduate school because immunology was one
- 8:48of my big focuses. And then it ended up being
- 8:51a fight. And when I would present my material,
- 8:55I'd get, I presented at care about schools, medical
- 8:57schools, and I had labs like crazy to present
- 9:00all the things about immune deficiencies of that.
- 9:03Whenever somebody disagrees with you, what happens
- 9:06is this, and they cannot attack the message.
- 9:09They try to attack the messenger. So I've built,
- 9:13obviously wonderful, big, huge company from nothing.
- 9:15We now have all over the world. And I knew that
- 9:20RFK is doing a wonderful job trying to fight
- 9:22the establishment. And even though he doesn't
- 9:24have a background, he has a really good history
- 9:26of being the greatest environmental lawyer in
- 9:28history. So if you ever noticed the tear that
- 9:31they do with him, he has no experience. He has
- 9:33no this, this and this. Well, the people that
- 9:35did have experience led us into COVID. Do you
- 9:37see what I'm saying? So don't worry about experience.
- 9:39Don't tell me about experts. Look where they
- 9:40led us. But there are people that are willing
- 9:42to fight for the public. And here's what happens.
- 9:45And because no one would just look up my post
- 9:50my undergraduate, my postgraduate stuff that
- 9:53way, they would always try to just label me as
- 9:55a chiropractor. Now, once again, chiropractic
- 9:57has given me a very good view on how to really
- 10:00address all these things. The thinking of a chiropractor,
- 10:03if you look at his history, is what set me up
- 10:05to even figure out all these hormonal and immune
- 10:06things. But my tools are limited. So I said,
- 10:10you want something? RFKs are only going to be
- 10:11there for so long. You still need people that
- 10:13are going to fight for people's rights. Because
- 10:15do you really think, they've been doing this
- 10:17since I was in, since... 50 years. There's some
- 10:20viruses gonna wipe us all out here. It's just
- 10:22remember anytime you hear pandemic outbreak,
- 10:25just think propaganda. It's just propaganda for
- 10:28vaccine sales. That's all this period. It's all
- 10:30this. Okay, just like Ebola and Honda. It's like,
- 10:33we're just gonna try to get some government money
- 10:34and you're gonna try to warp speed stuff and
- 10:37we're gonna try to push on Americans people across
- 10:39the world. It's just it's just a money grab.
- 10:41It's like, it's we need people that are fight.
- 10:43So I just decided to go back to finish my master's
- 10:46and I'm gonna then I'm gonna enter the PhD program.
- 10:48in the same medical school, and I'm going to
- 10:51continue that. And I'm going to, I should be
- 10:55done here within some years here. My master's
- 10:58isn't too far from completion. It gives me a
- 11:00little bit more in the fight, the battle, maybe
- 11:03a little bit more credibility, even though the
- 11:05fight persists. I haven't learned anything different
- 11:06than I already knew. But give me a point, so
- 11:09I decided to, I'm doing it to have a voice to
- 11:11fight for the public. So there may be some questions
- 11:15I ask you. I didn't have prepared but since you
- 11:19brought up rfk jr how do you feel about this
- 11:22current administration like do you think it's
- 11:24best we've had since i've been born yeah yes
- 11:27do you think they're gonna make it far in like
- 11:29passing no all of these like no that's what i
- 11:34thought my concern is the food right now the
- 11:36food and water but yes because the myth that
- 11:39he's gone and you have somebody else in power,
- 11:41all the stuff that they're doing right now will
- 11:43be wiped out. Just look at politics in general.
- 11:44That's how it works. That's why, for example,
- 11:46governments should have no influence on these
- 11:48things. Zero. None. Zero. Not the public side.
- 11:52See, that's why people realize, you know, just
- 11:54get government out of it. Because all it takes
- 11:56is the vaccine company to give billions of dollars.
- 11:59And it's a nice thing. You couldn't bribe RFK.
- 12:01He was already wealthy. He already did wonderful
- 12:03things. And vast majority of politicians, Republican
- 12:06and Democrat, they're easily bought off. Trust
- 12:08me, I know I do. So my history was alveolar soft
- 12:14part sarcoma. That was my cancer. It's very rare.
- 12:16Um, I did have a couple of nodules that went
- 12:19to the lung. Um, so I had surgery, they removed
- 12:22everything. I had immunotherapy for like seven
- 12:25months and then we did radiation. So I was trying
- 12:28to do like holistic care alongside of my conventional
- 12:32care. Um, so I found a local chiropractor that
- 12:35does holistic wellness and he just came alongside
- 12:39me and we looked over labs, you know, anything
- 12:41I needed to support my body, that's what we were
- 12:43doing. So I have always had that love of just
- 12:48natural wellness, even before my diagnosis, I
- 12:51wasn't into it like I am now. But so I just I
- 12:55kind of want to start out just asking you a few
- 12:57personal questions. And, you know, this isn't
- 13:02medical advice, always do your research, talk
- 13:04to your doctor, whatever you need to do. But
- 13:07I always advocate for myself and I encourage
- 13:10other people to do that as well. So what are
- 13:14the best supplements that you can take after
- 13:16going through a cancer journey just kind of to
- 13:19get like the most for your money? Yeah. So what
- 13:23you're kind of asking, because remember, every
- 13:25person, let me just lay down some framework.
- 13:28Every person's immune system is different. Every
- 13:30person's stressors that affect their health are
- 13:32very different. So therefore, That's where the
- 13:36investigation happens. Now, you said the key
- 13:38word, your body always needs support through
- 13:41the day. Do I mean, it needs support at night
- 13:45to sleep. It needs support. No, I mean, take
- 13:47anything. Sleep is support for the immune system,
- 13:51brain, nervous system, endocrine system. Do you
- 13:52follow me? And if you look at the movement, movement
- 13:55is support for the immune system, endocrine system.
- 13:57So support is a very key word. Eating healthy
- 14:00is support for all the systems. Now, if you do
- 14:03look at some of the things that can lead to deficiencies,
- 14:06all right, now we're going to talk about this
- 14:08in general, because I'm just let me let me tell
- 14:10for all the audience. I am very immune biased.
- 14:14Okay. I'm very biased. Now, Gina, you're gonna
- 14:16love that immune bias, because here you're thinking
- 14:18this way. And let me let me get some simple concepts
- 14:20in your head first. If you look at what the wonderful
- 14:23conventional doctors did, see, and I want you
- 14:26guys to set the basis here. Here's my analogy
- 14:29that needs to spread all over the world. So then
- 14:31you understand my viewpoint. And actually, Gina,
- 14:33you should use this too, because then you don't
- 14:35come off combative when it does come to medical
- 14:38procedures. I say, Doc, the medical scientists
- 14:40in government lied to us. Yeah, there are bad
- 14:43people out there. But the vast, like I said before,
- 14:46vast majority of doctors, both in medical and
- 14:48holistic, are not that way. They're very caring.
- 14:50Trust me, I talk to all of them, okay? But the
- 14:52idea is this. I always say, remember, medicine's
- 14:53the fight department. If all of a sudden, so
- 14:56medical care is fight department care. Because
- 14:57you know why if you're also on fire and you're
- 14:59gonna die from cancer die from heart disease
- 15:01Your fire department is gonna use an axe and
- 15:03hose to put the fire your doctor is gonna use
- 15:05drugs or surgery There's your axe and hose to
- 15:08put the fire and they did that with you Thank
- 15:10God you're saying because what that does that
- 15:13gives you a chance to extend your life, but even
- 15:15through their treatments There is some destruction
- 15:17to the house That's why there's negative side
- 15:20effects. I'm not saying not do it, I'm just saying
- 15:22understand that you need to be supporting aka
- 15:25carpenter type work when the house is actually
- 15:27at least not going to burn down. You need carpenter
- 15:29type doctors which is more the holistic realm
- 15:31and you need to support and rebuild those tissues.
- 15:35Now if either one of them say that they're not
- 15:37needed I'm going to call BS on both of them because
- 15:40you can't rebuild the house when axe in the hose
- 15:42and you can't put a fire out with plaster and
- 15:44lumber and nail and hammers. Okay, so the analogy
- 15:47to understand that for example, I'm in the middle
- 15:49saying sometimes there's need and sometimes congruent
- 15:51care is very needed for example So when you're
- 15:55going through chemotherapy or going through radiation
- 15:56Do you understand that though? Do you know what
- 15:59they're trying to do with that? They're trying
- 16:01to do with what your immune system is already
- 16:03programmed to do So I'm gonna I'll make a prediction
- 16:05and I'm just telling you this it'll make complete
- 16:08sense in order to even get cancer You had to
- 16:10have some immune issue Period there's some immune
- 16:13issue Because even think what chemotherapy and
- 16:15radiation did. You have cells that are programmed
- 16:18to go after those cells. But if you're immune
- 16:20deficient, they're going to grow. Okay. And then
- 16:24you can have other things like endocrine issues
- 16:25that can multiply. You can have just like the
- 16:28endometriosis. Hormone issue can turn into endometrial
- 16:30cancer later and ovarian cancer, all things.
- 16:33So for example is this. So when I look at supporting
- 16:36the body, I'm going to always be biased because
- 16:38the immune system protects us from even COVID.
- 16:42even the flu, even everything that way. So let's
- 16:46start here. If you don't get good sleep and good
- 16:49movement, there's no supplement. Zero. Zero.
- 16:53Even one bad night of sleep affects your immune
- 16:55system. Now, you can recover by getting some
- 16:58more rest that way, but sleep and movement are
- 17:00the two most beneficial things. Let's just start
- 17:03there. And here's what happens. Gina, how much
- 17:05does sleep and movement cost you? Nothing. I
- 17:08know. And if you think this way, People don't
- 17:11sleep well and people are not moving a lot right
- 17:14now. Mm -hmm next Do not be deficient in nutrients
- 17:19Do not even Sam and if you look at some very
- 17:23good animal products and very good fiber You
- 17:26can cover the vast majority of things. Okay now
- 17:30Here's what happens One of the most regulating
- 17:34things to our immune system comes from the Sun
- 17:37comes from the Sun and so therefore I live in
- 17:41the Midwest. The vast majority of time, we don't
- 17:44get a lot of sun. Do you know that even my clinics
- 17:46that are down in Florida and Texas and stuff
- 17:47like that, when we run their vitamin D levels,
- 17:49they're usually always low, okay? So have these
- 17:53deficiencies replicated. So if you look at things
- 17:55that I know people are deficient on, they're
- 17:57so, you're hearing this so much conversation,
- 17:58omega -6s. Remember guys, we need omega -6s.
- 18:02And so to all my holistic people, yes. Do people
- 18:05eat too many omega -6s? Yes, so all of these
- 18:08seed oils, but guess what happens? If your omega
- 18:11-3s are normal, you can get away with having
- 18:13seed oils. Now, I know a lot of my holistic people
- 18:15hate that. Do you understand? Omega -3s are the
- 18:18most important. So therefore, the omega -3s are
- 18:21extremely important. And so that's why I tell
- 18:23people, if you are not eating, like, for example,
- 18:26I had sardines already today, okay? I'm going
- 18:29to eat enough things so I'm not have to sup them
- 18:31with it. But most people don't, so they need
- 18:33to take omega -3. Some people don't get enough
- 18:35sun, so they need to take vitamin D. Now, here's
- 18:38where I'm a little bit biased. because I look
- 18:41at how the immune system functions and I want
- 18:42to be supportive for the production of our stem
- 18:46cells. I want to be supportive to our thymus
- 18:48gland so it can convert our B and T cells properly
- 18:51and but mainly T cells because thymus that's
- 18:55why it's called T cells is where conversion happens.
- 18:57B cells can happen in other places but the idea
- 18:59is this is so I'm going to give somebody reishi
- 19:02mushroom okay because I want to be supportive
- 19:05for those things. My daughter's had omega -3's
- 19:08of reishi mushroom and vitamin D since they were
- 19:10born. And therefore, now during, is there more
- 19:15things you need to do? Absolutely. But if you
- 19:17just talk about some support that can make a
- 19:20dramatic change, start with those lifestyle things.
- 19:23Start with the foods, don't be deficient. Now
- 19:26people say, but doc, what about toxicities? Yeah,
- 19:28people do a lot of toxic stuff that actually
- 19:30affects their immune system, their immune system,
- 19:32their digestive system. But just some basic things
- 19:36like that are dramatically for people that you
- 19:39don't need a doctor for. I love that. So if like
- 19:46where you live, same with me, we live in Pennsylvania,
- 19:49so not a lot of sunshine. Would you recommend
- 19:51red light therapy? Because I am a big user on
- 19:54red light therapy. Well, red light does offer
- 19:56something different than the sun. Now, our different
- 20:00infrareds and stuff, yeah, if you actually, if
- 20:01I were to, if you were to go over to, so I'm
- 20:03in my big studio. I have a huge studio here,
- 20:04I've got smaller studios too, but over to this
- 20:07room over here, part of my studio, there's a
- 20:09wonderful, amazing red light bed, okay? And because
- 20:12there's certain frequencies of light that I want
- 20:14to get, and red light is absolutely amazing,
- 20:16okay? And so therefore, that's why you can be
- 20:19very specific about wavelengths you want to get
- 20:21based on having a red light therapy bed, so absolutely
- 20:24amazing. I am a big fan of it. About skin. You
- 20:28know, my bet over there is $75 ,000. The average
- 20:30person is not going to buy that thing. But there's
- 20:33little lights that you can get. There's wonderful
- 20:35companies out there that you can buy red lights
- 20:36from. They're small, and you can put them at
- 20:38your desk and things like that. So yeah, it's
- 20:40absolutely incredible. So I also personally have
- 20:43the MTHFR gene. So obviously, my body isn't going
- 20:47to detoxify the way it should. And maybe that
- 20:50played a part in my cancer diagnosis. But what
- 20:53would you recommend for that? Well, eat methyl
- 20:56groups. See method groups were very common, you
- 21:00know 40 50 years ago see method groups You know
- 21:02when you the organ meats, you know, which is
- 21:04you guys know if you follow my stuff I love organ
- 21:06meats. I think already meats are one of the most
- 21:08nutritional dense foods on the planet You know,
- 21:10for example my marketing director before we walked
- 21:13in here We had a meeting and she was eating liver
- 21:15or hash. So she was eating in heart Okay within
- 21:18her within her food. I I have a chunk of liver
- 21:22every day, you know which has heart, liver, and
- 21:24kidney in there. And so there's specific things
- 21:27that you're gonna get in there that are very
- 21:28nutrient dense, including methyl groups. Now,
- 21:31maybe you're not gonna get kids and people today
- 21:33to do it, but that's where, okay then. But if
- 21:36we end up putting in a capsule, which does cost
- 21:38a lot more, that's what you call supplementing.
- 21:43But get people to do lifestyle things, it's much
- 21:45better. It's very common, I think about 40 %
- 21:47of people have triggered the genes. And so therefore,
- 21:51what you want to do is this, you won't need to,
- 21:53I encourage you to get a, it's a simple swab,
- 21:55get a test done. You know what I'm saying? Don't
- 21:56leave it up to chance. I think everybody, I love
- 21:58labs so much to see where the body's at that
- 22:01you can, you know, that's where the whole aspect
- 22:02of don't guess what anybody's buying. Look at
- 22:04the things that you need to do to make sure to
- 22:05support it. Now, if you don't have a problem
- 22:08with the methylation that way, which is just
- 22:10one part of our liver, for example, that helps
- 22:13us remove certain things, bind, metabolize, convert,
- 22:18you would have without that. With that deficiency,
- 22:21it's very hard for you to not, like you said,
- 22:23some is detox, some is hormonal conversion, some
- 22:26is reading other things besides toxins out of
- 22:28our bodies, conversion of hormones. So therefore
- 22:31you need to take that support if you're not eating
- 22:33that support. Yeah, I've heard some people say,
- 22:37because I guess it's the look of eating the liver
- 22:40and stuff too, but they chop it up and they freeze
- 22:42it and take it like a capsule. So maybe that's
- 22:44some advice somebody can use if they don't like
- 22:47the looks of it. I tell people when you're first
- 22:50doing it, hey, most people will make some ground
- 22:53beef for like tacos. Okay. In my house, I have
- 22:55three freezers, an organic grass finished beef,
- 22:59same thing with a lamb and pork and stuff. And
- 23:02all them once again, properly raised and from
- 23:04start to finish. And when we're making a hamburger,
- 23:07we'll throw, we'll ground up some of the liver,
- 23:09put about one third liver and two thirds hamburger.
- 23:12Guess what happens? Throw that on, have a little
- 23:14taco salad through, you know, arugula and salsa.
- 23:18I love goat cheese on there and things that bunch
- 23:20and you have a little taco salad with that. You
- 23:21have no, you can, and it's just part of your
- 23:23diet. So therefore I'm not buying a methyl cobalamin
- 23:26for $30 a bottle. I love that. So what's the
- 23:31best way to get protein in during the day and
- 23:33how much should women be getting versus men?
- 23:36Well, it's more based on your lean muscle mass.
- 23:40And let's say your ideal body weight, for example,
- 23:42you know, I'm a, I'm five foot 11, 198 pounds.
- 23:45Okay. So I want to be right around 190 pounds.
- 23:48So I should be roughly getting 190 grams of protein
- 23:51per day. Now, if my lean muscle mass is not that
- 23:53much, so maybe I could get away with 150 and
- 23:55stuff because of my percent body fat and everything.
- 23:58But people don't eat enough protein. Your immune
- 24:00system is very protein dependent. It really is.
- 24:03Most of your body is very protein dependent.
- 24:05And it's not a craze right now. People eating
- 24:06so much protein actually know just people have
- 24:08been so deficient for so long. They're starting
- 24:10to realize that these are the problems that come
- 24:11with it. So, just kind of think this way. If
- 24:14you want to weigh 120 pounds, and that's your
- 24:16ideal lean muscle mass, then you want to eat
- 24:18120 grams, okay? And people say, well, that's
- 24:21a lot of food. Not really. Because here's why.
- 24:24You're gonna find out by eating good proteins
- 24:26and fibers, you are satisfied quicker, your calorie
- 24:29intake goes down, and then guess what happens
- 24:31to your weight? Sam? So you're getting high dense
- 24:35food with a lot of great minerals and vitamins
- 24:39with lower calorie, which is... causes you to
- 24:42lose weight. Okay. And how can we properly lower
- 24:47inflammation in our bodies? Like what are some
- 24:50natural remedies we could do for that? Because
- 24:51that's one of my biggest things is keeping my
- 24:54immune system healthy and lowering inflammation.
- 24:58Let's step back and look at inflammation in general,
- 25:01because this is where I started probably the
- 25:04first talk ever in the holistic realm 30 years
- 25:06ago about inflammation. But now it's a catchphrase
- 25:09and they kind of are using it too much and not
- 25:11teaching the public properly. You know, for example,
- 25:13if you know, my body gets a sliver, there's an
- 25:17inflammatory response, you want that inflammatory
- 25:18response, it has to rid that foreign body. Let's
- 25:21say that you twist your ankle, you want that
- 25:23inflammatory response, you need to repair process
- 25:25to remove all the dead and dying tissue and damaged
- 25:27tissue to bring in new tissue. But it has to
- 25:30also end and regenerate repair. So when people
- 25:34say doc, tumeric and think no, no, no, no. Okay.
- 25:37Here's what happens. When you look at, you know,
- 25:40don't never look at natural things like medicine.
- 25:44Because here's what happens. You want to reduce
- 25:45inflammation, just take a steroid. It'll happen
- 25:46very quickly. You'll be out of pain quickly.
- 25:48And guess what happens is this. Now, what does
- 25:50it do? It destroys the immune system. Now, that
- 25:52leads to your deficiencies, cancers, all things
- 25:54like that. So, but here's what happens is this.
- 25:56You have to sit down. We have to go stop triggering
- 25:59the immune system. People are inflamed because
- 26:01they're doing so many inflammatory things. So
- 26:03taking turmeric or taking steroids is the same
- 26:05thought process. You're trying to change the
- 26:07immune system to stop triggering it. Find the
- 26:10triggers. And for example, what really got me
- 26:13into my realm of healthcare was allergies. Foods
- 26:17that I thought were good were actually triggering
- 26:20to my body, not other people's body, mine. Can
- 26:24you say them? Now, the great thing is my IgE
- 26:27allergy for eggs went away through the years,
- 26:29and I also check my IgGs and IgAs. I check all
- 26:32the immune responses. And I just make sure that
- 26:34I'm not triggering the immune system in any way.
- 26:36But it's more about finding the triggers. And
- 26:38then when you want to support the immune system
- 26:40in its recovery, now maybe you can take, like,
- 26:43turmeric. Now you can take, like, omega -3s.
- 26:45Because you understand, your immune system cannot
- 26:47put on the brakes with omega -3s. People always
- 26:49think like turmeric. I'm like you're saying your
- 26:50immune system needs more omega -3s to put on
- 26:53the brakes and halt immune health of inflammation
- 26:55than turmeric will ever do. Okay, that's great
- 26:58advice. I did not know that. And just how are
- 27:02some other ways just in general we can keep cancer
- 27:05away? Well, so for example, recently, I don't
- 27:09know if you watched my last show. I had a very
- 27:11dear friend of mine who's a PhD immunologist
- 27:14who actually worked at the Rockefeller lab on
- 27:16large labs in the world and probably one of the
- 27:17most famous ones. and they showed that immune
- 27:21deficiencies can lead to cancer within three
- 27:23weeks. He said it right in the show, right in
- 27:25the show. Okay, so it's like, and so here's the
- 27:28point. So supporting your immune system is so
- 27:31vitally important, but also not destroying your
- 27:34immune system is vitally important. Just like
- 27:36creating inflammation, when you're always in
- 27:38a damage repair, damage repair, damage repair,
- 27:41and I'm not saying, for example, that you don't
- 27:42have normal growth process that happen like that
- 27:44per day. but people are putting highly processed
- 27:47food. They're not eating. They're doing vaccines.
- 27:51Okay. All these things that can really disrupt
- 27:53the immune system. And then people are like,
- 27:55I have no idea why I have cancer. It's like,
- 27:57you know, it's like, no, no, no, you can't constantly
- 28:00be triggering the immune system and weakening
- 28:03it. And then, no joke, I can show you labs of
- 28:06T cells and natural killer cells extremely low.
- 28:08And they wonder why they get cancer. And now
- 28:10it's like, oh my gosh, it's genetic. You're not
- 28:12genetically programmed for cancer. You have to
- 28:14have some response to even change a gene to make
- 28:17that happen in the first place. So the concept
- 28:19of it that way is misleading to the public because
- 28:22you had to have some major trigger to actually
- 28:24change a gene. It just didn't happen by itself.
- 28:26It wasn't an oops, I did something wrong, instead
- 28:28of that. So it's like, see, but when you talk
- 28:31like I do, it actually makes a person take self
- 28:34-responsibility even before the bad things happen
- 28:35to them. And people want to do that. People want
- 28:37to realize it's like, you weren't just unlucky.
- 28:39There was things that led up to it. No, you're
- 28:41wrong. You'll say, well, my parents did it to
- 28:42me and I was raised this way. I totally understand
- 28:44that. Parents do a lot of immune deficiency things
- 28:46to their kids all the time, including give them
- 28:48too much sugar. So that's where the things that
- 28:51come up that way that we have to have real conversations.
- 28:54But the vast majority of people are going to
- 28:55reject it. I guarantee that everybody loved what
- 28:58I said until I said it was their responsibility.
- 29:01Just what happened. So true. So I personally
- 29:07Got the HPV vaccine. This was way before I knew
- 29:12anything about holistic wellness or even receiving
- 29:15vaccinations, but I Know your take on vaccinations,
- 29:20but how do you that's one of my pet peeves? I
- 29:22hate the HPV vaccine. How do you feel about that
- 29:25one? Well, let's let's do this Let's keep me
- 29:28and my personal bias to other things. Here's
- 29:30happens The only reason why I have the opinion
- 29:32that I would have on vaccines about how the immune
- 29:35system responds to them Okay, see cuz now it's
- 29:38just toll. Okay, I could talk to a medical scientist
- 29:40I could talk to PhD analogies like a dog you
- 29:42think and I do all time actually no joke I I
- 29:45befriended a lot of major scientists across the
- 29:47United States and even actually over in Europe
- 29:49And then I'm in medical school and most my teachers
- 29:52are PhD analogies and I get along with them great
- 29:54And and they're kind of programmed to think a
- 29:56certain way. I'm not that's the thing It's like,
- 29:59because I'll be like, well, now let's let's come
- 30:01from this perspective. And they they don't argue.
- 30:04They said, Doc, that's really good perspective
- 30:05on this way. This is actually no joke. One of
- 30:07my professors recently reached out because his
- 30:09wife was sick and they didn't want to put him
- 30:11through all hormone replacement therapy and things
- 30:13like that. But here's the point. When you look
- 30:15at HPV, the reason why I have a very big concern
- 30:19with that one is because of the adjuvants they
- 30:21use. AAHS is actually, once again, a aluminum
- 30:27salt. Now we have to start talking properly from
- 30:30the public to or from from science to the public
- 30:33because what holistic people do is they say look
- 30:36at that metal it's actually aluminum salt it's
- 30:38a little bit different okay um and that's why
- 30:40you always hear me say the adjuvant is aluminum
- 30:42salt um it's just a little bit more scientifically
- 30:44correct because people think that they'll equate
- 30:46like your aluminum pans or your you know aluminum
- 30:50can to like what's in the vaccine that's not
- 30:51really true okay it's very different. Okay, so,
- 30:54you know, because then you'll have, you'll have
- 30:55the medical people say, you drink out aluminum
- 30:57cans, and you're worried about a shot. I'm like,
- 30:59see, you can tell they don't. Okay. Or in now.
- 31:02So here's the point that AHS is created in a
- 31:08way for it to be absorbed very quickly by our
- 31:12immune system, and to reside in the body much
- 31:15longer. And now with that immune system, so let's
- 31:18say, let's say a macrophage, let's say a natural
- 31:19killer cell consumes it because it's a foreign
- 31:21body. Yes, guess what happens there there now
- 31:25is an inflammatory response aka there can be
- 31:27damage and now when that immune cell travels
- 31:30to different parts of their body and let's say
- 31:32that immune cell now resides with that AHS within
- 31:36a system, which is very destructive, which is
- 31:39very oxidative damage to any tissue it touches
- 31:41and now that macrophage that natural killer cell
- 31:44dies in your brain. What do you think it does
- 31:47to the Neurology? And that can go on three, six,
- 31:53eight, a year later, months later, but there's
- 31:57no correlation. See, this concept of like, you're
- 32:01going to react the minute you get a vaccine.
- 32:03Some people do. Some people have the damage in
- 32:05the immune response way later, but there's no
- 32:08correlation. See, so that's why it scares me
- 32:10the most. That's why if you ever look at, there
- 32:12was just a huge mass of settlement that happened
- 32:15in secret. They weren't made a fault. You say,
- 32:17I'm with all the people just recently, I can
- 32:19send you the links to it that way. But see, when
- 32:21people don't research that, and they don't like
- 32:24the message, they'll try to attack the messenger.
- 32:26People wonder why I went back to school to finish
- 32:28my master's and start my PhD and stuff like that.
- 32:30And actually, no joke, I'm telling you right
- 32:31now, my research I want to do for my PhD program
- 32:34is adjuvants. It's adjuvants. Because on how
- 32:38the body responds, but how the immune system
- 32:40responds to them that way. And that's why when
- 32:42people say that it's safe, I'm like, what criteria
- 32:44do you term as safe? Because if you define safe
- 32:46by how the body functions, there's not one adjuvant
- 32:50that's safe. You say, all you have to do is expand
- 32:53definition. Same thing happened to COVID. Same
- 32:54thing happened to anything they don't want. And
- 32:56I tell people, just tell people the truth. And
- 32:57if they want to do it, let them do it. We all
- 33:00should have informed consent, freedom of choice,
- 33:03but give them all the information so they can
- 33:05make the proper choice. Amen. So do you think
- 33:09people with a history of cancer, everything that
- 33:12I went through, the surgery, now that it's, I
- 33:15guess I'm just NED, considered NED, do you think
- 33:19that we can go on to live? A long time, extremely
- 33:22healthy. Yeah, extremely healthy. Extremely healthy
- 33:26in a long time. Thank the doctors that did the
- 33:28medical care, did chemo, did radiation, did surgery.
- 33:31God bless them. But here's what happens this.
- 33:34Do you have the viewpoint in your perspective?
- 33:36The reason why I can tell that you're gonna live
- 33:37long and healthy is because you're gonna dig
- 33:40in to become more like a carpenter. How do I
- 33:42support, rebuild, maintain, make it better than
- 33:45before? Guys, your body is so amazing. I want
- 33:49you to think about this. We've lost perspective
- 33:52how amazing the human body is. If you cut your
- 33:54finger, do you know there's not one scientist,
- 33:56not one person, not one doctor, not me, everybody
- 33:58that can put those cells exactly where they belong.
- 34:00It's so intelligent. Get out of its way. You
- 34:04do not know more than it does. What we do know
- 34:07about the body, and that's why I go back to my
- 34:09last show, A Different Perspective, A Different
- 34:12Perspective, ADP, with that last scientist, he
- 34:15even said he goes, you know so little. That's
- 34:17right, we do. So when these people... government
- 34:20lies in this is this we be careful you're misleading
- 34:24the public don't do that you Sam and so therefore
- 34:27when you can the things that we do know how to
- 34:30support the by what to do with it what we can
- 34:32what we can do to take away the triggers what
- 34:33we do this it doesn't matter because the regenerative
- 34:37aspect of your body is incredible absolutely
- 34:39incredible here take the oldest person you know
- 34:41Gina think of that person right now okay if you
- 34:45cut their finger what happens It still heals
- 34:49at some point. Thank you. It wants you. It wants
- 34:52you. You are genetically programmed for that.
- 34:56Get out of its way, stop hurting that process,
- 34:59support that process, and you can live a long
- 35:01time. You can live a long time. So just because,
- 35:05now Durham, let me tell you this. Let me go on
- 35:06the flip side. If your whole aspect is medical
- 35:11care with no rebuilding, you'll probably have
- 35:14a very short life. Because they come back ten
- 35:16times worse because you never rebuilt you're
- 35:18assuming deficient. You still not rebuilding
- 35:19your body You still not taking every immune system.
- 35:21So it's gonna come back sometimes ten times worse
- 35:24See, that's the different thing. So as you said,
- 35:28I love that you went through some care with some
- 35:31wonderful doctors I'm usually supportive of that
- 35:34But if that's all you're doing you're gonna live
- 35:36a short life You need the carpet apart, which
- 35:39you have taken to see because it doc How'd you
- 35:42figure these things out because I had a woman
- 35:43I want to marry and have kids with and no one
- 35:46else sat there and did it. So I did. And that
- 35:48became a part of healthcare now that I've contributed
- 35:52to for 30 years. And that's why I opened a clinic
- 35:54and it did well, because we just got the results
- 35:56that people wanted. But then also, and remember,
- 35:59here's what happens, is, you know, don't be a
- 36:02fan of me, I'm a fan of you, because you had
- 36:04to do all the work. You had to recover from cancer,
- 36:07you had to support your body, you had to go against
- 36:10the grain of what... probably friends, family
- 36:13member, other doctors were going to tell you.
- 36:15You'd say, I'm just giving you some information
- 36:18that made a little sense to you because you were
- 36:20on a journey that wasn't making sense before.
- 36:22You say, so I just want, that's what I said.
- 36:24I try to give people great information and I've
- 36:27gotten the clinical results with it because I
- 36:29love labs. I love how I look at them. I know
- 36:30what to do with them. I know how to do these
- 36:33things to help people recover. So it's just like
- 36:36I said, it's just a different perspective. I'm
- 36:39sorry to go off script, but I'm just so intrigued.
- 36:41How do you feel about ivermectin and Mabendazole
- 36:44and Fenben going into cancer treatment? I actually
- 36:49think that any treatment that has stood the test
- 36:53of time and all treatments have side effects.
- 36:56Okay. And am I okay with that? I really am. Actually,
- 36:59do you know when people go through chemotherapy,
- 37:00if you look at turkey tail, it helps you even
- 37:03protect yourself from the damage of chemotherapy.
- 37:06So everybody that did chemotherapy should be
- 37:07taking some turkey tail. It actually doesn't
- 37:09interfere with the care. It actually helps from
- 37:10the damage of the things of the normal tissue
- 37:12from it that way, okay? So remember, I think
- 37:15that our advancement in medical care is needed
- 37:18because there's gonna be things that are going
- 37:21to happen that we have zero control over. I think
- 37:25that, for example, any therapy that helps a person
- 37:27get through that fire, especially for something
- 37:30like ivermectin that does have a track record,
- 37:33that does seem to be... gentle on system, has
- 37:36minimal side effects, still side effects, but
- 37:38has minimal side effects. I think that it's just
- 37:41always going to be suppressed because you look
- 37:44at a trillion dollar system like chemotherapy
- 37:46and radiation, all things door there. They're
- 37:49not going to want to give you something that
- 37:50costs 30 cents compared to 3000. And there is
- 37:53a business part of all that sets the standards.
- 37:56And you have wonderful doctors, even hospitals
- 37:58that would love to give ivermectin and possibly
- 38:00look for cancer things that way. But they could
- 38:02lose their license. They could get fired. That's
- 38:05the sad part of health care Yeah So we already
- 38:09know asleep plays a huge role especially with
- 38:12the immune system and I am somebody that has
- 38:14a hard time falling asleep So what would you
- 38:16recommend for that? Well, first of all, except
- 38:19that you're a woman. It's always gonna happen
- 38:20Okay. Yeah, cuz you know why everybody knows
- 38:23I apologize. Do you know are you married? Yes,
- 38:26I am you understand you Sometimes you you guys
- 38:30could have just a rough day as him and it just
- 38:33seems like husband can just Detached live in
- 38:35a box of nothing and forget about the whole world
- 38:37and your mind Yes, he's he's automatically as
- 38:40soon as he hits the pillow. It's falling asleep
- 38:41any snoring In a woman because of her physiology
- 38:45her endocrinology It's a good thing. It's what
- 38:48makes you guys great caretakers. It was makes
- 38:50you guys really good at finding problems. I employ
- 38:53more women than I employ men. And I have hundreds
- 38:56and hundreds of employees. By the way, this is
- 38:57like, guess what happens? You guys will think
- 39:00and think and think and think and think. And
- 39:02you put you on a task. You guys are fantastic
- 39:04with that way. This is this. And so therefore,
- 39:07that's what I tell women, you need to start to
- 39:10meditate and slow your brain down. And you may
- 39:13need to support your brain. with some herbal
- 39:15things and stuff like that to calm it down and
- 39:17get you to sleep that way. And do I want you
- 39:19to do that? I'm hoping you don't have to but
- 39:21they're just by nature of sometimes being a woman
- 39:23that way, you know, because you guys by nature,
- 39:26estrogen makes you very connected that way. So
- 39:28therefore your thought processes are very different
- 39:30than males and male and no matter what people
- 39:32have said over the last seven years, men and
- 39:35women are extremely different, extremely different.
- 39:38So if I just give you a perfect example, and,
- 39:40and so yes, you need to and if you can't take
- 39:43your supplement a little bit. to actually do
- 39:45it, you know, and you have to be more careful
- 39:47when it comes to things because a woman's body
- 39:49is more sensitive than a male's is. And what
- 39:52about stress? Because that's another thing I
- 39:54struggle with. It's, it's more just stress of
- 39:56like everyday life, like all the things that
- 39:59have to get done in a day. So it's like, it's
- 40:01not, it's not really like a financial stress.
- 40:04It's, it's almost like the same stress daily.
- 40:06My whole career was based on women. I think you
- 40:08know that because when I started in actually
- 40:10mainly fertility, okay. And And I think I've
- 40:14been the number one person in the world, especially
- 40:16the holistic realm, but even the medical realm,
- 40:18talking about how mental stress destroys women's
- 40:20health, destroys it, destroys every aspect of
- 40:22it. And that's why California poppy was the second
- 40:25most sold thing I ever had in my whole career,
- 40:27because it just calms them down. But you know,
- 40:30it's really funny. The one thing that I didn't
- 40:31know is about women. And, and I believe you agree
- 40:34with me on this is, and you just did it now by
- 40:37the question, you understand that when I would
- 40:40sit down with women and say, listen, look at
- 40:41your stress hormones. Lose your cortisol, look
- 40:43at your adrenaline, epinephrine, all these things,
- 40:45all your fight or flight. Just by making women
- 40:48aware that the stress was hurting them, women
- 40:51were conscious of it. And they're more apt to
- 40:54avoid stressful things, but also when they did
- 40:56stress out, they're more apt to get themselves
- 40:58to calm down quicker because they know how it
- 41:00affects their health. But just a lot of most
- 41:02women are not aware how stress can really make
- 41:05their immune system, make their sleep, make them
- 41:07fat, make them, you know, everything, cancer
- 41:10is everything. It's like, and no joke, I'll just
- 41:14reference it in my last show again, Dr. Casper
- 41:17showed how people that laugh, a deep belly laugh,
- 41:20reduces their cancerous dramatically. See, so
- 41:22we have to, and that's why I've said this for
- 41:25a long time, I think that's why I have such a
- 41:27huge woman following, is the fact that, man,
- 41:30we gotta keep women out of stressful situations.
- 41:32Men's bodies are meant to handle it. And you're
- 41:35wrong. Even how we deal with the kids is gonna
- 41:38be different. There's elements of stress you're
- 41:39never gonna get a woman to not do. But then they
- 41:41just have to be aware that this could hurt them.
- 41:44And most women will start to work towards those
- 41:46things not to have as much stress in their life.
- 41:48Because once women are aware, women are very
- 41:50good at taking care of things. So my cortisol
- 41:53always comes back. I have it tested every six
- 41:56months. Always comes back normal. So is there
- 41:59something else I should be checking for? Is it?
- 42:01Just like you said, it's just a daily stress
- 42:03and I maybe need to be more aware of keeping
- 42:05myself out of it. Yeah. Well, remember quarters
- 42:08are very important and you want you want to do
- 42:09both blood and also urine or saliva together.
- 42:12You're saying because you want the four of them.
- 42:13Also, you want the blood to make sure where production
- 42:16is and stuff. And but remember, there's other
- 42:18markers you want to do, like, for example, you
- 42:20know, amino acid tests, you know, like, for example,
- 42:23seeing some of your transmers, seeing where epinephrine,
- 42:25norepinephrine things are out that way. You can
- 42:27do an Oats test, which is really simple. Simple
- 42:29urine tests to see where certain things are Because
- 42:33then we know for example how it's metabolizing
- 42:34everything, but here's it. Here's the thing Having
- 42:38four daughters myself Because if my daughter
- 42:43is graduating cabaret school, okay, they're gonna
- 42:45have just school stress, you know Just even the
- 42:47worry of passing tests and some of that. I truly
- 42:50believe that women need to take some calming
- 42:52things and A lot of our beautiful women are taking
- 42:55things like SSRIs, which is very scary high rates
- 42:59of suicide, high rates of damage that way. And
- 43:03guys, just check out California Poppy. I mean,
- 43:05sincerely. I mean, sincerely. My wife, my daughters,
- 43:08everything. It's like people I love. I'm like,
- 43:10you know, because then once again, it's not addictive.
- 43:13Number two, for example, you could drink the
- 43:14whole bottle. You just make expensive urine.
- 43:16You're going to pee it out. Some of that because
- 43:19there's just the, a woman's life is different
- 43:22over the last 50 years. And so they're going
- 43:25to need some support. to calm them down and I'm
- 43:28okay with that. How does gut health influence
- 43:32immunity? Well, you got to remember we can trigger
- 43:35our immune system from the gut. We do have everything
- 43:38from our gut associated with our tissue, our
- 43:40molt, mucosal tissue. So therefore we can trigger
- 43:45it very commonly on a regular basis by what we
- 43:47do food wise. If we have highly processed food,
- 43:49if we have food you're allergic to, if we actually
- 43:51have, let's say we eat too much sugar and we
- 43:53have a yeast overgrowth, you're going to constantly
- 43:54trigger immune system. There's so many factors
- 43:56because we are basically a petri dish. And our
- 44:01connection to the outside world is our oral tract
- 44:03cavity. People try to say our GI. So therefore,
- 44:07the more that we trigger it, the worse it is.
- 44:11That's why I tell people, if you are really looking
- 44:13to start with a diet and want to not trigger
- 44:18immune system, just go carnivore for two weeks.
- 44:20Now, you don't want to do it long term. Just
- 44:22go carnivore for two weeks. You have the least
- 44:24triggering foods you could possibly eat. All
- 44:26right. I'm not saying you can't react to beef.
- 44:28I'm not saying you can't react to chicken or
- 44:29fish or things like that or shrimp. The idea
- 44:31is that you can. It's just that the chances that
- 44:33the demographic for all cultures are really low,
- 44:35is really low. So I tell people, go carnivore
- 44:37for two weeks and be like, oh my goodness doc,
- 44:39I'm not bloated. I'm not as gassy. I lost some
- 44:42weight. I just, yeah, because you start mixing,
- 44:45because you start mixing some other things in
- 44:46there, people can actually be very reactive to
- 44:49them. And of course, now you have an immune response
- 44:51constantly going on. you have microbial changes
- 44:54out there. You could actually introduce an overgrowth
- 44:57of just normal flora that can now be a constant
- 44:59trigger to the immune system, which is going
- 45:00to be a problem. So yeah, it can have a very
- 45:04negative effect on the immune system if you are
- 45:06actually constantly triggering it. What lab markers
- 45:10are helpful after cancer? I mean, they usually
- 45:13run like the usual CBC, all those things. But
- 45:16is there anything like on the side that they
- 45:18usually don't run that you would recommend? Well,
- 45:19they never run it. It's immune panel. I call
- 45:21it the immune panel. Go on my website. It just
- 45:23gives you all your natural killer cells, your
- 45:24T cells, your B cells, your immune balance from
- 45:27your innate to your adaptive immune response.
- 45:31Because those are things that will help you determine
- 45:33what's going on with your immune system. It's
- 45:36a simple lab I wrote when I was 26 years old,
- 45:39Sam. And I'm 28 today. And so I wrote that thing
- 45:4525 years ago. And remember, and I didn't create
- 45:47the lab. I just sat down and said, I want to
- 45:50assess where my immune system is at. And that's
- 45:52the lab that should have been ran during COVID
- 45:54because it could have told you, it could have
- 45:56give you a very good predictor if you were going
- 45:57to die or not. And it's just immune markers.
- 46:02Any lab can do it. You can walk to your doctor
- 46:03right now. You can walk to LabCorp. You can walk
- 46:05to Quest. Now I call it the immune panel just
- 46:07because I wrote all the immune cells down, but
- 46:10It's just go on our website, just write the markers
- 46:13down, research every one of them, throw it into
- 46:16AI. See, that's the one thing I love about technology.
- 46:18Everything I said here today, throw it into AI.
- 46:20Throw it into research that way. It's going to
- 46:24make complete sense. Because once again, I'm
- 46:27showing you what you can do from a different
- 46:28perspective and not negating that medical care
- 46:31might be needed some of the time, but a lot of
- 46:33it can be avoided. So therefore, what you want
- 46:35to do is you don't look at I'm a holistic person
- 46:37or I'm a medical person. I'm neither. I'm actually
- 46:41going to judge what my body needs at the time,
- 46:45and here's what happens. We had a workout Wednesday,
- 46:48because the whole company, I allowed them to
- 46:50work out, they get paid for the process that
- 46:52way, and some of that, do I have to take a lunch
- 46:54already? Look at that. And here's what happens,
- 46:57is because I want people to move. I have an organic
- 46:59restaurant, I have all these things here, and
- 47:00stuff like that. I have a full gym for people
- 47:02to use, everything. Now, no matter how well I
- 47:05support my body, If I walk on my parking lot,
- 47:08I get hit by a car. I'm not just now gonna convert,
- 47:11I'm now a medical person. Here, do I need drugs?
- 47:15Yes. Do I need surgery? Yes, because my legs
- 47:18snapped and I'm bleeding out. Do I need the emergency
- 47:20room? Yes. Do I need a surgeon? Yes. Do I need
- 47:22anesthesia? Yes. Heck, give me as much pain medication
- 47:25as you can. Heck, knock me out, wake me up in
- 47:27a week. You see what I'm saying? So people say
- 47:31I'm holistic, I'm medical, but I don't know what
- 47:32you guys mean. For example, The fire department
- 47:36is needed when it's needed, and the carpenter
- 47:37is needed when it's needed. It's just that we
- 47:40are so programmed that the only doctor that you
- 47:43listen to is the medical professional. He's the
- 47:45expert. Nah, you can't rebuild a house with an
- 47:48accident hose. Yeah. So what conditions best
- 47:52respond to chiropractic treatment? It depends
- 47:57because most people don't know what a chiropractor
- 47:58really does. OK. See, because here's what happens.
- 48:03And this is why I would tell you right now. The
- 48:05foundation for everything I hid, if I would have
- 48:07been a medical professional, I never would have
- 48:08done what I do today because I couldn't have
- 48:10thought about it. See, what makes care about
- 48:12the special, if it's history of how we started
- 48:14and what we do is thinking. So therefore, and
- 48:17what we did because of money and greed and survival,
- 48:22which I'm totally disgusted with the schools
- 48:24from the 80s on, because our profession was more
- 48:28of that realm of recognizing the human body and
- 48:32what I can do and realizing that there's three
- 48:34major things that really took away from the body.
- 48:37Physical trauma. Yes, there's a structural component
- 48:40that can do that. Toxic things and thoughts,
- 48:44mental stress. And so therefore, the way I practice
- 48:48and always have, and that's what led me to people
- 48:50thinking I'm not a chiropractor was the fact
- 48:52that I'm like, no, honestly, if you just adjust,
- 48:54actually, technically from our history, really
- 48:55not even a chiropractor, you're just you can
- 48:57learn adjusting in a fucking weekend. And so
- 48:59that's how I get out. ticked off on a hero. And
- 49:03it's like, and I'm not downgrading, I'm not downgrading
- 49:07the adjustment. I'm saying that I've adjusted
- 49:09hundreds of thousands of times. But the idea
- 49:11is this, is it's our thinking that say, hey,
- 49:14listen, search for those toxins, search for those
- 49:17traumas, search for those thoughts, search those
- 49:19things. And that thinking is what allowed me
- 49:20to go, okay, listen, that trauma can lead to
- 49:23immune, endocrine, structural, neurological problems.
- 49:27So can toxins, so can stress. See, so therefore
- 49:30we've been minimized because of insurance and
- 49:32greed and money. And yes, all you care writers
- 49:34of the 80s and all you schools, you should be
- 49:36ashamed of yourself. I'm disgusted with you.
- 49:39And you wonder why all the care writers come
- 49:40to me and say, what you are doing is change healthcare.
- 49:42It's not changing healthcare. I'm going back
- 49:43to what we did before. And that's why medical
- 49:47profession tried to actually destroy us. And
- 49:49we won in a Supreme Court case. Go look it up.
- 49:52See, so I just go back to that realm. And then
- 49:55I realized that, hey, listen, being a carpenter
- 49:57-type doctor, which recognizes that there's trauma,
- 49:59toxin, thoughts, I need other tools to do it,
- 50:01not just an adjustment. So I think adjustments
- 50:03are extremely powerful. It's extremely good thing.
- 50:05But the concept of even the word treat means
- 50:08nothing in the chiropractic world. That's a medical
- 50:09term. It's a medical term. Osteopaths used to
- 50:13be more holistic and natural, and they got consumed
- 50:15that you did the same thing chiropractors. So,
- 50:18yep. And so till day I die and all the chiropractors
- 50:20I train and things like that, that's why we have
- 50:22very busy offices. because we get great clinical
- 50:25results. How often do you suggest somebody to
- 50:29get adjusted? It determines. It determines, for
- 50:32example, their lifestyle and what they're doing
- 50:34and do they repair it and do they do things at
- 50:36home. And you're going to find out that some
- 50:38people can last a very long time. Some people,
- 50:41they just don't take care of themselves and they
- 50:43need it more repetitively. Every person is extremely
- 50:45different. You know, I'm hoping that people do
- 50:47the good thing so they need it very little. But
- 50:50we know this. We know people that don't take
- 50:51care of themselves or they get lax. Here, watch
- 50:53this. Often should people brush their teeth.
- 50:56Often should people go to the dentist. If you
- 50:58take care of yourself, you need less dental care.
- 51:00If you take care of yourself, you need less structural
- 51:02adjustments. You see? So that's why it's like,
- 51:05hey, brush, frost, brush, frost. Hey, move, move.
- 51:09Do your stretches. Do these things. I didn't
- 51:11do it, doc. Well, then I got to charge you 70
- 51:13bucks. I'm going to get adjusted. See, I'm not
- 51:16going to take responsibility for you not doing
- 51:18good things. I'm there to correct your sassiness.
- 51:22Yep. So I have a partial thickness tear in my
- 51:27shoulder. I just found out about it. And my chiropractor,
- 51:30which I said he also does holistic care, said
- 51:32that it can heal naturally. Do you have any recommendations
- 51:35on how to heal that naturally without seeing
- 51:37orthopedics? There's a tear. They said there's
- 51:42a partial thickness tear. of the bursa, I believe
- 51:47is what it is. And then there's also rotor cuff
- 51:49tendinopathy. I don't know how I got a tear.
- 51:54I don't know what I did, but it's been there
- 51:55for a long time. Yeah. One thing that OK, always
- 51:59remember this. It's kind of like sex safety first.
- 52:03OK, OK. I mean, the fact this I so you had you
- 52:08had an MRI done. Yes. Has orthopedic looked at
- 52:11yet? No. OK, get both opinions. Okay, because
- 52:15here's what happens. It depends on being the
- 52:18terrorists. Because yes, could it heal on its
- 52:21own? Do you know? No, I would actually get advice
- 52:25on both sides. I really would. Because yes, can
- 52:28some things heal on them own? Yes, but sometimes
- 52:31they're so bad, they can't. And obviously want
- 52:34to avoid as many drugs and surgeries as possible.
- 52:38But when there's something, you know, like I
- 52:39said, if I get hit by a car and break my leg,
- 52:42I'm gonna need some care. I just need it. There's
- 52:45nothing wrong with that. And I think technology
- 52:47and advancement and orthopedic and even cancer
- 52:50things has done a wonderful job over the last
- 52:5250 years. I think that 50 years from now, we
- 52:53should be better. But it doesn't negate that
- 52:56even when you may need that surgery, that you
- 52:59still need to do things to put it back to normal
- 53:02besides once the tear is fixed. See, negate,
- 53:06you know, I'm just making sure that you have
- 53:09the advice it doesn't need surgery. Sam? Because
- 53:12then once again because Have I seen them obviously
- 53:16heal sure but it can heal wrong, too so That's
- 53:21the only thing that concerns me. So we get always
- 53:23get both opinions Okay, how do you think immunology
- 53:27will change health care over the next 10 years?
- 53:30Well, if they apply it properly, it would be
- 53:33it'd be life -saving, you know because We've
- 53:37now really destroyed immunology since 1986. And
- 53:44we've had a skyrocket rise of all immune related
- 53:48diseases in history, including child's cancer.
- 53:52And because we introduced a mass amount of vaccines
- 53:55into our system come 1996. And we've people have
- 54:00always eaten processed food, people have always
- 54:01had all the things but that 1986 you can see
- 54:04a skyrocket of every disease to understand. It's
- 54:06kind of funny. There was a I watched this doctor
- 54:08debate about the At least the CD, at least the
- 54:11RFK is saying, listen, stop trying to give all
- 54:13these vaccines to a pregnant woman. They still
- 54:15have two. When I was a kid, even when I was in
- 54:17school, in graduate school, if you gave a pregnant
- 54:20woman an aspirin, they freaked out. And now they're
- 54:23getting vaccines. You know what I'm saying? So
- 54:25I will always have a job with the current thinking
- 54:29on immunology. I know because they're going to
- 54:35create more children that are damaged. They're
- 54:37going to create more adults that are damaged.
- 54:39more cancers ever in history that could create
- 54:41that because the immune system is one of the
- 54:42vital contributing factors to it. Yeah. Are there
- 54:46any exciting developments in the immune research
- 54:48that we should know about? Yeah, there's cancer
- 54:53therapies that they're going to do. Remember,
- 54:55once you have cancer, I'm in favor of all major
- 54:57email therapies and stuff that you're trying
- 54:59to experiment with you because I don't want anybody
- 55:00to die. I'm OK that when people get cancer, they've
- 55:04created new email therapies and things like that.
- 55:06I think they're I think they're great. Because
- 55:09we have a lot of control. We don't have all control
- 55:10Because you know, we're always gonna have pollution
- 55:13pollution can actually contribute to cancers
- 55:15So therefore, you know, I would just say that
- 55:18with what we do a lot to our bodies We're creating
- 55:20a vast majority of them There will be people
- 55:22that could do everything right and still have
- 55:24cancer because there's factors. We can't control.
- 55:26There's EMF There's toxicity. There's things
- 55:29that they're going on that in our environment
- 55:31that we can't control so therefore we need major
- 55:34immunotherapies that medicine is always trying
- 55:36to experiment with and And I think, I think it'd
- 55:38be wonderful. So I think that we'll have a better
- 55:41survival rate in the future. Just because of
- 55:45certain medical therapies. I really do. But remember
- 55:49the old saying, an ounce of prevention is worth
- 55:51a pound of cure. What are your go -to daily remedies
- 55:56that you personally do? Mega threes, vitamin
- 56:01D and reishi mushroom. I love it. So now do I
- 56:06do more than that? Yes, but if I'm talking about
- 56:08the big three those are a must Okay So these
- 56:12three questions I like to ask all my guests and
- 56:14the first one is what is your favorite Bible
- 56:16verse? It could be of all time. It could be in
- 56:18this season You're gonna laugh about this. It's
- 56:22not a verse. It's a story. I'll tell it to you.
- 56:24Okay, very simple The greatest thing that ever
- 56:26happened in the Bible is not what David and Goliath
- 56:29think because everybody thinks they're David
- 56:31and everything but everybody against him is Goliath
- 56:33It's not really true. Okay And so it's like,
- 56:35everybody thinks they're the little guy. But
- 56:37the idea is this. But the coolest thing about
- 56:38David is when he got permission from the king,
- 56:42he ran towards the problem, the stress. He didn't
- 56:46run from it. Most people don't run towards conflict.
- 56:49They run from it. For me to even do what I had
- 56:51to do, even during COVID, the FBI showed up in
- 56:53my house because they treated me like I was a
- 56:56terrorist because I was telling people what they
- 56:57were doing was lying. And I ran towards the conflict.
- 57:01A man should run towards conflict. You avoid
- 57:03it. That's when bad things happen. Yeah. If you
- 57:08could tell your younger self one thing today,
- 57:09what would it be? If I could tell my younger
- 57:14self one thing. No, I think I do it to all my
- 57:18young people today. It's work on yourself personally.
- 57:22Personal growth leads to every great thing in
- 57:24your life. It does. Work on yourself. And because
- 57:28you have to have a strong mind. And to her to
- 57:32do it. And I believe that the reason why I could
- 57:33accomplish what I accomplished because I work
- 57:35on myself every single day. I think personal
- 57:38growth, I do this with my daughters. I teach
- 57:39them, you know, you win the head game, you win
- 57:40everything. And personal growth is so important
- 57:43because it affects all areas of life. It affects
- 57:45your business, affects your marriage, affects
- 57:47your friendships. Because when you grow personally,
- 57:51it permeates to every area of life. And what
- 57:54legacy would you like to leave behind? I'm already
- 57:56doing it. It's actually, for example, is this.
- 58:00And I do at my company, personal growth is so
- 58:03important to me. The fact that say, listen, that
- 58:06when you want to be a mortal, pass down the things
- 58:10that create a family legacy. I actually was just
- 58:13showing my dad, I have a family crest, you know,
- 58:16based on the flints. And don't get me wrong.
- 58:19It's like, I think it's so I actually wish people
- 58:23took their heritage so importantly. Why do we,
- 58:26why do we learn about the Rockefellers or the
- 58:28Kennys or the Trumps and things like that. You
- 58:30should be, you should so love your heritage and
- 58:34where you come from, what you stood for, and
- 58:36pass things down that two, three generations
- 58:40from now, because you know what happens to this?
- 58:42My great, great grandkids are gonna be like,
- 58:43you know, Papa Flynn was something special. And
- 58:46from the principles that I taught them, and if
- 58:49you teach them the principles that make their
- 58:51life better, to be of great character, to be
- 58:53of great sound aspect from money to... to faith
- 58:57to everything that way, that you don't die. You
- 59:00don't die. And that's where I'm like going, you
- 59:04know, you need to pass that down to them that
- 59:07way. So yeah, and I work on that every day. Every
- 59:10single day. Love that. So let's have a little
- 59:13bit of fun. We'll move into the rapid fire coffee
- 59:15or tea. Coffee. Favorite healthy snack. Oh, oh.
- 59:25Ooh, I would do that every morning. One supplement
- 59:30you couldn't live without. Still vitamin D. Cardio
- 59:34or weights? Weights. Most underrated wellness
- 59:39habit? Sex. If you could instantly master one
- 59:45skill, what would that be? Already done a ton
- 59:47of them. I've accomplished great things, Jose.
- 59:51It's like, I'm not joking, I work on all my skills.
- 59:54But I would tell you this, I would say this,
- 59:56okay? If you want to master one skill that everybody
- 59:59can do, it's communication. Good one. What is
- 1:00:03always in your refrigerator? Sauerkraut, liver.
- 1:00:08That's two main things, sauerkraut and liver.
- 1:00:10If you could give everyone one health habit,
- 1:00:13what would it be? Sleep. Sleep. And what's bringing
- 1:00:17you joy right now? Everything I do every single
- 1:00:19day, everything. You say, because I get to pour
- 1:00:23into a ton of people and make their life better
- 1:00:25in every single way, from my children, my family,
- 1:00:27to patients, to other doctors, to staff, everything
- 1:00:31that way. You never go wrong investing in other
- 1:00:33people. It doesn't mean you're always going to
- 1:00:35get something back, but you never go wrong investing
- 1:00:37in them. You cannot give the giver. Yeah. Dr.
- 1:00:41Patrick, thank you so much for joining me today.
- 1:00:43It was a pleasure. Like I said, I look up to
- 1:00:45you so much. I was so excited to have you on.
- 1:00:50But, um, where can people find you? You know,
- 1:00:53um, you can go to our website, thewellnessway
- 1:00:55.com, thewellnessway .com. You can follow me

- 1:01:01like, uh, but yeah, just, just under Dr. Patrick
- 1:01:03Flynn or, you know, um, the wellness way website
- 1:01:06and you'll see that now I put out so much ton
- 1:01:10of free information for people that way, because
- 1:01:12I want people to take control of their own health.
- 1:01:14I want people to be in control of their destiny.
- 1:01:16And it's possible if you just learn some things
- 1:01:19that way, just like you have. So thank you for
- 1:01:22looking up to me, Gina, but guess what happens
- 1:01:23this? You wouldn't even look for my information
- 1:01:26if you would have personally grown through a
- 1:01:29tragedy and decided to take control yourself.
- 1:01:32So you're the hero. You've been through much
- 1:01:35tougher things than I have and stuff on there.
- 1:01:38So you're inspiring people. Keep sharing that.
- 1:01:42Let people know and hoping this gave you a little
- 1:01:43bit of insight to communicate with people a little
- 1:01:45bit differently, a little bit better. And, um,
- 1:01:48it was an honor being on here today. Thank you.
