- 0:00Speaker 1: Off the Bench.
- 0:01Speaker 2: We have to Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:03Speaker 3: Okay, here we go where.
- 0:05Speaker 2: The plays get broken down, then science gets denied. Off
- 0:09Speaker 2: the Bench, Hour two of Off the Bench Live from
- 0:12Speaker 2: the Raising Kine Studio.
- 0:35Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in OTB. Here live from Mobile, Alabama, and.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Of course our coach brought to you by First American
- 0:43Speaker 4: Bank and Trust, and we are going to be here
- 0:47Speaker 4: for the totality of the Senior Ball, which we've got
- 0:50Speaker 4: a couple of more days of practice, looking forward to
- 0:53Speaker 4: get back out there this afternoon, and then we've got
- 0:56Speaker 4: more practice tomorrow and then of course the game is
- 0:59Speaker 4: going to be this weekend.
- 1:01Speaker 3: So not staying for the.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Game because well, the practices are the star of the show,
- 1:06Speaker 4: and we had some yesterday, and looking forward to catching
- 1:10Speaker 4: up with some more LSU players. I believe barry On
- 1:12Speaker 4: Brown at some point here this morning is going to
- 1:15Speaker 4: join us. We've got his chair all ready to go,
- 1:17Speaker 4: we got the situation ready, in a setup ready, so
- 1:19Speaker 4: hopefully we can have him in the next couple of segments.
- 1:23Speaker 4: And we had Garrett neus Meyer yesterday, so if you
- 1:25Speaker 4: miss that, you can go back and listen to that
- 1:28Speaker 4: on demand, and you had your quarterback YEP rankings of
- 1:33Speaker 4: who you thought one through six maybe played the best.
- 1:36Speaker 3: So are you starting six to one?
- 1:38Speaker 5: You going one to say, I don't think it's real
- 1:41Speaker 5: fair to rank them all like together, but I kind
- 1:44Speaker 5: of had my list of I who probably had the
- 1:46Speaker 5: better day on each of these different teams. So it
- 1:48Speaker 5: started out with a national team first with the quarterbacks
- 1:51Speaker 5: of Diego pave Called Peyton.
- 1:52Speaker 3: And Sawya Robinson.
- 1:54Speaker 5: Those three were there, and for what it's worth, I'm
- 1:57Speaker 5: sure it's gonna switch every day. Diego Pavia did get
- 1:59Speaker 5: the first reps on all the drills, so individual one
- 2:03Speaker 5: on ones and then the first person to go in
- 2:05Speaker 5: on team. And so for whatever that is worth, and
- 2:09Speaker 5: I'm sure today it'll be cold Peyton getting one and
- 2:12Speaker 5: Diego will get the thirds whatever and they'll rotate like that.
- 2:15Speaker 5: Potentially we'll see. We'll see today. But watching individual, I
- 2:18Speaker 5: was giving a launder an education on quarterback mechanics. I
- 2:21Speaker 5: was like, yeah, he's a shoulder thrower, he's not creating
- 2:23Speaker 5: enough whip or whatever.
- 2:24Speaker 3: He does a nice job.
- 2:25Speaker 5: He's a he's a more rotational quarterback. And so we
- 2:29Speaker 5: were just kind of dropping some knowledge, some quarterback knowledge,
- 2:32Speaker 5: and I'll say in like individual, Diego Pavea is not
- 2:37Speaker 5: the best looking quarterback throwing the ball right. The other
- 2:40Speaker 5: two guys did absolutely. They looked like monsters as well.
- 2:44Speaker 5: And then I looked it up. I was like, these
- 2:45Speaker 5: guys gonna be six five. But I was like, wait,
- 2:47Speaker 5: this's cold. Peyton, he didn't interview. He didn't look that big,
- 2:48Speaker 5: but they did kind of look like look physically look
- 2:51Speaker 5: very big compared to Diego. But Diego had the best
- 2:54Speaker 5: day at quarterback for that first in the national. Just
- 2:57Speaker 5: from the plays that were being made, the guys had game.
- 3:00Speaker 3: I get it. He's little, he's runner up to the
- 3:03Speaker 3: Heisman Trophy. He's runner up, so pretty decent, right, good player.
- 3:06Speaker 5: I felt felt strongly that he should have won if
- 3:09Speaker 5: it wenting for people.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Like you voters. Do you say something afterwards? He said
- 3:13Speaker 3: something afterwards.
- 3:14Speaker 5: About remember that's something about that, something like that. Okay,
- 3:17Speaker 5: I thought he had the best day. Cole Peyton didn't
- 3:20Speaker 5: realize he was a lefty.
- 3:21Speaker 4: I didn't of the show Cole Payton, friend of the show,
- 3:24Speaker 4: seen Varsity Blues. Full disclosure, I didn't either. I remember
- 3:28Speaker 4: him being a lefty. I just I just remember him
- 3:31Speaker 4: in his statu out of the box.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Oh we got burry On right here? Oh we do nice? Yeah, sir,
- 3:35Speaker 3: what's up? How are you doing?
- 3:37Speaker 6: Man?
- 3:37Speaker 3: Good to see you, hey, Baron Brown.
- 3:39Speaker 4: Good enough to join us here, Jacob Pastor, Matt Flynn.
- 3:43Speaker 4: We played at l s U when you were well,
- 3:45Speaker 4: I don't even know how how old were you in
- 3:48Speaker 4: two thousand and seven?
- 3:50Speaker 1: Two thousand and seven, I was.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Okay. I look actually older than I thought.
- 3:58Speaker 4: He was going to be, so okay. So yeah, we
- 4:01Speaker 4: played LSHIT a long time ago. Man, glad to have
- 4:03Speaker 4: you on the LSUE squad this year. But how has
- 4:06Speaker 4: this week been for you so far? Obviously a couple
- 4:08Speaker 4: of days in, but had a chance to go out
- 4:10Speaker 4: there on the practice field yesterday for sure.
- 4:12Speaker 7: Always grateful for the opportunity to come out here and
- 4:14Speaker 7: compete with the best and showcase what I can do
- 4:18Speaker 7: and just keeping my best for forward and just attacking
- 4:20Speaker 7: every day like it's my last and just perfecting my craft.
- 4:25Speaker 5: Yeah, Barrett, what's it major? You like to get the
- 4:27Speaker 5: invitation of the senior ball? Like I know that from
- 4:31Speaker 5: offensively this year. It wasn't the expectations that you all had,
- 4:34Speaker 5: right and but but the senior ball, y'all are recognized,
- 4:38Speaker 5: your talents recognized enough to have this opportunity to come
- 4:41Speaker 5: and showcase it with the best of the best.
- 4:43Speaker 7: Yeah, just again, just thankful all.
- 4:47Speaker 1: The hard work I put in.
- 4:48Speaker 7: Of course, growing up as a child, I'm always watching
- 4:50Speaker 7: the one.
- 4:51Speaker 1: On ones and exposive plays. So just being right here now,
- 4:57Speaker 1: incredible opportunity.
- 4:59Speaker 4: How much of the return game do you want to
- 5:01Speaker 4: try to show out here as well? Because look, we
- 5:03Speaker 4: all know how many what six right sixty in college
- 5:06Speaker 4: and I covered the Texas both first play of the game,
- 5:09Speaker 4: I mean.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Take it back to the house.
- 5:11Speaker 4: I was very exciting, and you've done it so many
- 5:12Speaker 4: times in your career, so when you're having those conversations
- 5:15Speaker 4: with teams, I'm sure like that is maybe one of
- 5:17Speaker 4: the lead conversations, Hey, we know what you can do
- 5:20Speaker 4: for us in the return game.
- 5:22Speaker 7: Yes, I always felt that people take plays off on
- 5:25Speaker 7: special team and that's why I take advantage of it.
- 5:27Speaker 7: That and just what I did in my career and
- 5:31Speaker 7: changed a lot of games with special teams. So that's
- 5:33Speaker 7: just something the back of my head that this one
- 5:35Speaker 7: might be the game changer. So I always took special teams.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Very serious.
- 5:39Speaker 5: Yeah, so this this week is a lot of there's
- 5:42Speaker 5: a lot of different strusts. You're getting pushed and pulled
- 5:44Speaker 5: in a lot of different directions that you're sitting here
- 5:46Speaker 5: talking to us right now, but like in a second,
- 5:48Speaker 5: you'll probably be in a meeting with learning next with
- 5:50Speaker 5: x's and o's and trying to like cram a playbook in.
- 5:54Speaker 5: But then thirty minutes later you might be meeting with
- 5:56Speaker 5: an NFL teams GM talking So how's this week been
- 6:00Speaker 5: for you?
- 6:01Speaker 3: Like what are these days?
- 6:02Speaker 5: Like you gotta wake up early, you go into bed late,
- 6:04Speaker 5: and just how stressed for it? Like it's speed dating
- 6:06Speaker 5: with a lot of these NFL teams.
- 6:08Speaker 7: Yeah, for sure, I wouldn't say so much stress. So
- 6:11Speaker 7: this is the life I always wanted And like again,
- 6:14Speaker 7: I'm with for opportunity. So I wake up every day happy,
- 6:17Speaker 7: thanking the Lord that I'm right here right now.
- 6:18Speaker 1: And honestly, I done.
- 6:20Speaker 7: Have four different quarterbacks for different ocs for different years.
- 6:23Speaker 7: So just going in there learning a couple of plays
- 6:26Speaker 7: ain't really too much of nothing to me. I feel
- 6:29Speaker 7: like I processed stuff really well, and it's honestly just
- 6:34Speaker 7: a will to do it.
- 6:34Speaker 1: If you want to learn it, you'll learn it.
- 6:35Speaker 7: So then again, I'm just thankful to be right here
- 6:39Speaker 7: right now, So not too much pressure, just taking every
- 6:42Speaker 7: moment in knowing that you only get one life to
- 6:44Speaker 7: live and just making the most of it.
- 6:47Speaker 3: What was your favorite drill yesterday?
- 6:49Speaker 1: My favorite drill yesterday was.
- 6:54Speaker 7: Honestly, just the the time with your receivers and the
- 7:02Speaker 7: receiver coach and y'all, just you know, taking it in
- 7:04Speaker 7: and doing the legit. Where can you get to meet
- 7:07Speaker 7: new guys and see new guys playing taking notes from
- 7:10Speaker 7: other guys, probably.
- 7:10Speaker 4: Guys that you've seen play from across the country obviously,
- 7:13Speaker 4: like you know them just by watching them here and
- 7:15Speaker 4: there and flashing on film for sure.
- 7:18Speaker 1: And that's just one thing that's good.
- 7:20Speaker 7: And I always been a note taker, so if I
- 7:22Speaker 7: see something that somebody's doing good, I'll try to implement
- 7:24Speaker 7: it to my game and just taking coach all this
- 7:27Speaker 7: coaching points and just trying to my game.
- 7:30Speaker 5: So when you're in line and up, I know, like
- 7:32Speaker 5: one on ones that that drill is always fun for everybody.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Right, you get it. You get to talk a little.
- 7:36Speaker 5: Trash, You gotta showcase your skills like This is a
- 7:38Speaker 5: cool week because it's like the ultimate helmet practice. Like
- 7:42Speaker 5: you see that, you see the big school helmets, you
- 7:43Speaker 5: see the small school helmets. You've seen helmets you might
- 7:46Speaker 5: not have ever seen before out there, Like when you
- 7:48Speaker 5: line up, are you looking for a helmet? Like, Okay,
- 7:50Speaker 5: that's okay, that's Ohio State right there. I want I
- 7:52Speaker 5: want that one or whatever it is. Are you looking
- 7:54Speaker 5: at that helmet when you line up?
- 7:57Speaker 1: Honestly, it don't matter who in front of me.
- 7:59Speaker 3: There you go.
- 8:00Speaker 1: You know, I'm not here trying to get paid and
- 8:01Speaker 1: make some money.
- 8:02Speaker 7: So man, whoever whoever gets in front of me is
- 8:06Speaker 7: gonna get my best for sure, rather than D one
- 8:09Speaker 7: or D five. That's just the mindset and the tip
- 8:12Speaker 7: tip of my shoulder that I have just go balls
- 8:15Speaker 7: to the wall every time, no matter who he guarded me.
- 8:18Speaker 4: So how was it for you this year coming to
- 8:20Speaker 4: Batteries playing for l s U. Obviously, unfortunately, you know
- 8:23Speaker 4: Garrett Nesmeyer is not able to play the full season,
- 8:26Speaker 4: and it's good to see him back.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Here and being able to throw the football.
- 8:29Speaker 4: But how was it for you just coming over from
- 8:31Speaker 4: Kentucky to Baton Rouge?
- 8:33Speaker 7: Great experience, great coaches, great atmosphere, great fan base, and honestly,
- 8:39Speaker 7: I was only there for a year, but I feel
- 8:41Speaker 7: like that they took me in and I love Batnon
- 8:44Speaker 7: Ruge for life, and man l s u Is just
- 8:47Speaker 7: experienced that I wish a lot of other people got
- 8:49Speaker 7: got the chance to get for sure, especially up coming
- 8:53Speaker 7: down with you know, Lane going there and all the
- 8:55Speaker 7: hype around that. So it's gonna be a fun season
- 8:58Speaker 7: to watch next year.
- 8:59Speaker 5: Obviously coaching change in the middle of the season, So
- 9:01Speaker 5: how was that going through that as a player right
- 9:04Speaker 5: middle of the season, coaching change and then Frank Wilson
- 9:07Speaker 5: kind of stepping in the plate, holding everything together, being
- 9:09Speaker 5: a being a glue guy?
- 9:11Speaker 3: Right was that?
- 9:11Speaker 5: How was that whole transition as a from a team?
- 9:14Speaker 5: Of course, as a fan base, you don't you don't
- 9:16Speaker 5: love that as a fan base, but it's uh, just
- 9:19Speaker 5: as a player being in that rim. How was that transition?
- 9:21Speaker 5: How are y'all able to leaders stepping up? How are
- 9:24Speaker 5: y'all able to just keep it all together?
- 9:26Speaker 7: Honestly, that the power that that that happened was out
- 9:30Speaker 7: of my hands. So I was just making sure, keeping
- 9:33Speaker 7: keeping the guys locked in and doing we got to
- 9:36Speaker 7: do and keeping the main thing, the main thing, and
- 9:37Speaker 7: that's to go out there and do I best to
- 9:39Speaker 7: win these games for us and these coaches and these
- 9:42Speaker 7: fans and everybody that's been supporting us.
- 9:45Speaker 1: So honestly, not nothing never changed for me.
- 9:48Speaker 7: Coase Wilson did a great job stepping in and getting
- 9:50Speaker 7: us fired up, and you know, just leading us out
- 9:53Speaker 7: there each and every week knowing it was people doubting us,
- 9:56Speaker 7: and he says she saved, but man.
- 9:59Speaker 1: It was.
- 9:59Speaker 7: It was a great experience to see that, and I
- 10:02Speaker 7: loved b K. And unfortunately the could get in crumble
- 10:05Speaker 7: for us how we wanted it to. But then again
- 10:09Speaker 7: that's life. Everything is not gonna go to where you
- 10:10Speaker 7: wanted to go each and every day. So it was
- 10:13Speaker 7: just a blessing to, you know, get get coached by
- 10:16Speaker 7: BK and then get coached by coach Wilson and love
- 10:18Speaker 7: them to death.
- 10:18Speaker 1: And honestly, I was just trying to keep the main
- 10:21Speaker 1: thing the main thing.
- 10:22Speaker 5: That's a good lesson for you and at going into
- 10:24Speaker 5: the NFL, control what you can control, right and do
- 10:27Speaker 5: the best that you can.
- 10:28Speaker 3: UH favorite moment in an LSU uniform.
- 10:31Speaker 7: For you, My favorite moment and the Lunforum uniform would
- 10:35Speaker 7: have to be the kick returning to Houston. Because the
- 10:40Speaker 7: coach wanted it for me, the players wanted it for me.
- 10:42Speaker 7: I wanted it for myself, and I told him that
- 10:44Speaker 7: this is not only a record breakerd for me, it's
- 10:46Speaker 7: one for y'all too, because it wouldn't have been able
- 10:48Speaker 7: to be done without y'all. It was a couple of
- 10:51Speaker 7: key blocks and a couple of key coaching points that
- 10:53Speaker 7: I took and order that in order for that to happen.
- 10:56Speaker 1: So man, it was just a great experience.
- 11:00Speaker 3: I love that one as well.
- 11:01Speaker 4: I also love the touchdown that you caught against Clemson
- 11:03Speaker 4: that they called no touchdown.
- 11:06Speaker 1: I wish I had, no you don't have the resume.
- 11:09Speaker 4: You know, it's out there record. I don't know how
- 11:12Speaker 4: in the world they called that no touchdown because we're
- 11:15Speaker 4: sitting there and I'm calling the game and they go
- 11:18Speaker 4: to the booth. I'm like, oh, well, l s you fans,
- 11:19Speaker 4: you're good, like this is a touchdown, And when they
- 11:21Speaker 4: said it wasn't, I was blown away, like I couldn't
- 11:24Speaker 4: believe it.
- 11:24Speaker 7: It's like it's like when when you're running to the
- 11:26Speaker 7: A zone and you put the ball over the piel
- 11:28Speaker 7: line and somebody hit your arm and the ball just fly. Yeah,
- 11:31Speaker 7: that's that's how I thought it was, but unfortunately it
- 11:34Speaker 7: wasn't it. Man, I wish I had that one.
- 11:36Speaker 3: YEA, that's all right. The film is still out there
- 11:39Speaker 3: out there. Sure when I say it's still on your rest, Yeah.
- 11:42Speaker 5: That's exactly right. Hey, what's your what's your training been
- 11:44Speaker 5: like going for this? Where are you training out?
- 11:45Speaker 3: Like?
- 11:45Speaker 5: What are some of the things. I'm sure there's guys
- 11:48Speaker 5: you grew up like watching looking up to and you
- 11:51Speaker 5: try to play like the comparable game and and take
- 11:54Speaker 5: what the guys you like to watch what they do well,
- 11:57Speaker 5: maybe try to implement it in some way for your game.
- 11:59Speaker 5: What's your training been mic and what exactly what what
- 12:01Speaker 5: are you working on for the next level.
- 12:03Speaker 7: I've been up at training with in Dallas, XOS and
- 12:07Speaker 7: got a great, great set the trainers for me when
- 12:11Speaker 7: it come to weight room and nutrition and field work,
- 12:15Speaker 7: and I got a great receiver coach, so shut.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Out to them.
- 12:18Speaker 7: But honestly, I've just been trying to critique out the
- 12:21Speaker 7: little things. I feel like, the little things that played
- 12:23Speaker 7: a big part when a combine come and when a
- 12:26Speaker 7: season come next year. So honestly, just bits and everything
- 12:30Speaker 7: a part of my game. I feel like it's always
- 12:32Speaker 7: improving to get better, whether you're the best of the worst.
- 12:34Speaker 1: So I never get complacent.
- 12:36Speaker 7: And if I if I'm great at something, I'm go'na
- 12:39Speaker 7: keep working and be great at something. And if I
- 12:41Speaker 7: feel like I'm short, there's something, I'm gonna keep working
- 12:43Speaker 7: ten times harder to get better at that. So just
- 12:45Speaker 7: my whole life, I I never wanna get complacent, and
- 12:48Speaker 7: I always wanna keep my best for four and then
- 12:50Speaker 7: keep stacking days and you know, pray for the best
- 12:55Speaker 7: for the worst.
- 12:55Speaker 4: Right, Hey, well man, best of luck this week. We
- 12:57Speaker 4: appreciate your time. We appreciate what you did and and
- 13:00Speaker 4: rouge and look forward to watching your practice this week
- 13:02Speaker 4: and then where.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Your future takes you.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Thank you so much.
- 13:04Speaker 3: I appreciate it. Barry and Brown good enough to join
- 13:06Speaker 3: us here on OTB.
- 13:08Speaker 4: He is trying to do what everybody here is trying
- 13:11Speaker 4: to do, right, put that best resume together, big week
- 13:14Speaker 4: for everyone here. Uh, certainly an explosive player, somebody that
- 13:18Speaker 4: has done it at a very high level of multiple
- 13:21Speaker 4: SEC stops and he's right, like record for kickoff returns
- 13:24Speaker 4: in a career. He has six six kickoff returns for
- 13:28Speaker 4: a touchdown in his career, including his last game in
- 13:31Speaker 4: an LSU uniform.
- 13:32Speaker 5: So pack of mindset too, Yeah, yeah, impressive. So that
- 13:36Speaker 5: that guys like that impress in interviews, right, Yeah, when
- 13:40Speaker 5: they are very humble, they're just working. They sit there,
- 13:43Speaker 5: they work hard, they say the right things, and you
- 13:45Speaker 5: could tell, you can and you can tell when you
- 13:47Speaker 5: talk to somebody like are they just think they.
- 13:49Speaker 3: Get told to say this? It's a train thing? Now?
- 13:51Speaker 5: You could you could tell that humble, humble kid and
- 13:54Speaker 5: wish him the best.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I love his style play.
- 13:56Speaker 4: I wish that it could have been a different circumstance
- 13:59Speaker 4: for him in this LSU offense. I think there's so
- 14:02Speaker 4: many things he could have done in this offense that
- 14:04Speaker 4: we unfortunately just didn't see from a lot of the
- 14:08Speaker 4: players that we were excited about watching, including like Chris Hilton,
- 14:11Speaker 4: who's going to be here a little bit later on
- 14:13Speaker 4: after going from the East West game yesterday to the
- 14:16Speaker 4: Senior Bowl here today. So he'll actually pull up right
- 14:19Speaker 4: before practice, so excited for his opportunity.
- 14:22Speaker 3: All right, we will step away.
- 14:24Speaker 4: We've got more OTB coming your way live from Mobile, Alabama.
- 14:29Speaker 4: Our coverage is brought to you by First American Bank
- 14:32Speaker 4: and Trust.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Off the bench, Off the bench, all right.
- 14:38Speaker 4: It is always a great time to go for dose,
- 14:41Speaker 4: no matter what you've got going on, and you can
- 14:44Speaker 4: put your feed up, relax and grab that ice cold
- 14:48Speaker 4: do Sekis. So if you're planning a Super Bowl party
- 14:52Speaker 4: and you want to be the star, you want to
- 14:54Speaker 4: make sure that people don't go home and talk trash
- 14:56Speaker 4: about you because of the beer selection that you had,
- 14:58Speaker 4: well you should go grab some that great cograt some
- 15:02Speaker 4: dose Sekis. It is the official beer of having a

- 15:29Speaker 5: It just hits right every time, and it is. It
- 15:31Speaker 5: is absolutely the best. And I'm not lying about this.
- 15:33Speaker 5: That is the beer that I order when I go
- 15:35Speaker 5: out and have a beer. So you're getting ready. Maybe
- 15:37Speaker 5: you're having a little party this weekend, whatever it is,
- 15:40Speaker 5: make sure you're doing it responsibly and make sure if
- 15:42Speaker 5: you're doing it, you're going for dose drink dose seqis.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Chrome down. But I'm doing getting money what we're doing
- 15:51Speaker 3: hitting but they know a crowdcast.
- 15:54Speaker 2: But now back to Off the Bench with Hester and

- 17:15Speaker 3: Hey, did you hear that Vegas finally got one right?
- 17:19Speaker 3: I think they got a lot right. So I got
- 17:21Speaker 3: a lot of big buildings there. Joe Brady, he was
- 17:23Speaker 3: the favorite. Hey, finally he was finally got the job.
- 17:27Speaker 3: It's so funny that on somebody that was he was.
- 17:30Speaker 5: He's been the favorite for every coaching opening from high
- 17:33Speaker 5: school to NFL.
- 17:34Speaker 3: I think in the Vegas odds.
- 17:36Speaker 4: I told I coach new Heidel, say, hey, Joe Brady
- 17:38Speaker 4: got the Buffalo job.
- 17:39Speaker 3: He's like, oh okay.
- 17:41Speaker 4: I was like, and now they can take him off
- 17:43Speaker 4: literally every single Vegas four of being the leader in
- 17:46Speaker 4: the clubhouse. And I made a joke because I was like, well,
- 17:49Speaker 4: I guess if if Philip Rivers would have taken the
- 17:52Speaker 4: Buffalo job, Joe Brady would have been the first one.
- 17:54Speaker 3: The chart for Saint.
- 17:55Speaker 4: Michael's no, Yeah, no doubt to be the head coach there,
- 17:58Speaker 4: absolutely can. Congratulations to Joe though, Yeah, it's fantastic, great guy.
- 18:02Speaker 4: Always enjoyed my conversations with him when he was at LSU.
- 18:07Speaker 4: He went from LSU to Carolina and it felt like
- 18:10Speaker 4: it was gonna be a fast track there to be
- 18:12Speaker 4: a heay coach.
- 18:12Speaker 3: Remember he had interviews after his first year.
- 18:15Speaker 4: It kind of spiraled on all of the Carolina Panthers
- 18:18Speaker 4: organization and it doesn't work well, and he kind of
- 18:21Speaker 4: gets let go there and then he finds his way
- 18:23Speaker 4: to Buffalo where he goes quarterback coach, then gets elevated
- 18:26Speaker 4: when Candorsa gets let go two OC and now he's
- 18:29Speaker 4: elevated to head coach. And I have to assume that
- 18:32Speaker 4: Josh Allen was probably one of his biggest cheerleaders.
- 18:35Speaker 5: Yeah, for sure, you have to assume, because that's probably
- 18:39Speaker 5: not Every organization is a little bit different on how
- 18:42Speaker 5: much they lean on their franchise quarterback to make personnel
- 18:46Speaker 5: decisions and the coaching stuff. Like Aaron Rodgers famously didn't
- 18:50Speaker 5: have any say that's kind of why the relationships.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Set are there.
- 18:53Speaker 5: Peyton Manning had a lot like it was the different
- 18:56Speaker 5: organizations are run differently, but he got to think that
- 18:58Speaker 5: there was some sort of put given given by Josh Allen.
- 19:02Speaker 5: But congratulations to Joe Brady. I mean, he gets the
- 19:06Speaker 5: one job that probably everybody had towards the top of
- 19:09Speaker 5: their list as the best available job in the NFL
- 19:12Speaker 5: just from a you know, stability at the quarterback position.
- 19:15Speaker 5: You have an MVP, a raning MVP franchise quarterback, a
- 19:19Speaker 5: young guy and so you know, congrats to him. And
- 19:23Speaker 5: you know, Joe Brady's this guy that has been an
- 19:25Speaker 5: ultra talented play caller, ultra talented offensive mine. I mean
- 19:29Speaker 5: dating all the way back obviously to the LSU year
- 19:32Speaker 5: in nineteen. But it's been on the top of the
- 19:35Speaker 5: list for a reason. And it's always been kind of confusing.
- 19:38Speaker 5: Why is he at the top of the list for
- 19:39Speaker 5: all these college jobs. Like I don't talk to Joe Brady,
- 19:43Speaker 5: and I don't know this from you know, firsthand, but
- 19:46Speaker 5: it seems like he doesn't want to go back to
- 19:48Speaker 5: college now.
- 19:49Speaker 3: He's not a college guy.
- 19:50Speaker 5: He left and he wants to be And look, we
- 19:53Speaker 5: were talking to Scott tolesand the other day, Yeah, and
- 19:56Speaker 5: he emphasized a lot of the same things that you know,
- 19:59Speaker 5: I think a lot of coaches in the NFL have,
- 20:01Speaker 5: and a lot of coaches in college have. You have
- 20:04Speaker 5: to have the right gene to be a college coach
- 20:06Speaker 5: this day and age with the n when the NIL
- 20:09Speaker 5: the transfer. You have to have a special mindset and
- 20:12Speaker 5: love that love outside just x's and o's and watching
- 20:18Speaker 5: film and game plan it. He goes, what a lot
- 20:20Speaker 5: of the coaches in the NFL are saying right now
- 20:22Speaker 5: is there are so many college coaches position wise, position
- 20:27Speaker 5: coaches that are trying to get to the NFL because
- 20:29Speaker 5: they don't like the way college football is. And those
- 20:34Speaker 5: NFL guys they're not going to They don't want to
- 20:36Speaker 5: give them up. They do not want to go back
- 20:38Speaker 5: to college because the mess that college football is right
- 20:42Speaker 5: now with all that, So uh yeah, Joe Brady what never.
- 20:44Speaker 5: He was on the top of the list for a
- 20:46Speaker 5: lot of colleges and he wasn't going to go back
- 20:49Speaker 5: to college. So he waits his time, bides his time,
- 20:52Speaker 5: and finds a great opportunity because I'm sure he had
- 20:54Speaker 5: been happy being coordinator for five more years until the
- 20:58Speaker 5: right opening came, and of course it did, and now
- 21:00Speaker 5: he is the head coach for the Buffalo Bills coaching
- 21:03Speaker 5: and he's got a raining MVP quarterback to his name
- 21:07Speaker 5: as well, So I would expect they're going to have
- 21:10Speaker 5: a lot of success.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Can they get over.
- 21:12Speaker 5: That hump that Buffalo has been tripping up on for
- 21:15Speaker 5: the last five years?
- 21:17Speaker 4: Yeah, they need to go get Josh Allen a dude too.
- 21:21Speaker 4: And this I'm not trying to be the Buffalo Bills GM.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Kim Coleman, k Goleman's like a good piece ish, he's
- 21:29Speaker 3: not the dude. Uh.
- 21:30Speaker 4: And they've got some nice tight ends, they've got some
- 21:33Speaker 4: nice receivers, they've got a stud running back.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Go get it.
- 21:37Speaker 4: Go get Josh Allen, Go get your guy, Go get him.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Somebody that everybody fears in the NFL.
- 21:43Speaker 5: Yeah, Kim colebody that they fear right now.
- 21:45Speaker 3: If you're gonna be a healthy scratch, you better be
- 21:47Speaker 3: a dude. Yeah, and you're not.
- 21:48Speaker 5: He's a healthy scratch at least one time this year
- 21:51Speaker 5: for disciplined reasons of being me to me late to
- 21:53Speaker 5: a meeting or whatever. That ain't it? So yeah, you
- 21:57Speaker 5: gotta And this is what a great place to find
- 21:59Speaker 5: a dude, right serable.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Yeah, there's plenty of receiver talent here. There's plenty of
- 22:04Speaker 3: length here.
- 22:05Speaker 4: He talked about like Jacobe Lane, I was telling you,
- 22:08Speaker 4: like that guy, he looks the part.
- 22:11Speaker 3: And Malackatte Fields.
- 22:13Speaker 4: Yeah, I did not day, I did not realize malacatt
- 22:16Speaker 4: Fields was six to four.
- 22:17Speaker 3: But yeah, yeah, both those guys.
- 22:18Speaker 5: So, Chacobe Lane, malacott Field's post sixty four, and then
- 22:21Speaker 5: the Texas Tech, the Caleb Douglas Gott he's.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Almost six or eight a half.
- 22:24Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what I want the Saints to find. I
- 22:27Speaker 4: don't care if it's first, second, third, one of those
- 22:29Speaker 4: first three draft choices. I want a receiver that is
- 22:33Speaker 4: not I would put the line at six to one.
- 22:37Speaker 4: Nobody under six to one. No small boys, those small boys.
- 22:41Speaker 4: Jordan's would call them those small boys six to one
- 22:44Speaker 4: in a buff please.
- 22:45Speaker 3: That's right at that position. Now, what you do at
- 22:47Speaker 3: other positions, I don't care.
- 22:49Speaker 4: But if Chris Olave is going to be on this
- 22:51Speaker 4: team for the long term, you signed him to an extension,
- 22:54Speaker 4: I need somebody across from him that is six to
- 22:58Speaker 4: one plus, preferably six three three plus and has some real.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Juice to them six one eighth. I don't care that
- 23:05Speaker 3: don't have to throw in the eighth part you had.
- 23:08Speaker 5: You don't recognize fractions, there's no you're dealing whole numbers.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean there's no point like what you said.
- 23:14Speaker 5: They you've said fractions when you're talking about Diego Pavia
- 23:18Speaker 5: seven eighths.
- 23:19Speaker 4: Son, that's because I think it's funny that they throw
- 23:21Speaker 4: that in there, like that's going to change our are
- 23:23Speaker 4: now on a short king.
- 23:26Speaker 5: I mean, basically, it's five to ten. It's basically like
- 23:28Speaker 5: pricing something at nine ninety nine. Like everyone we know
- 23:31Speaker 5: it's ten. That's ten dollars.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Oh my brother used to be the worst growing up.
- 23:34Speaker 4: It'd be nine ninety nine. But mom, it's only nine bucks. Yeah, no, son,
- 23:39Speaker 4: it's ten.
- 23:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:40Speaker 5: And the stores like got them.
- 23:43Speaker 3: I mean you got to throw the tax in there
- 23:45Speaker 3: as well.
- 23:46Speaker 5: So like five nine and seven of the eight. So
- 23:47Speaker 5: let's give them five to ten.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Yeah. So all right, let's go ahead and do this.
- 23:50Speaker 4: Let's step away, let's take a break here more OTB

- 25:19Speaker 2: Welcome back to Off the Bench with Hester and Flynn
- 25:22Speaker 2: live from the twenty twenty six Panini Senior Bowl in Mobile,
- 25:26Speaker 2: presented of my first American bank in trust.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Bob and Bookings didn't big build them. Put my money,
- 25:32Speaker 1: get my head.
- 25:35Speaker 4: All right, and welcome back in It is OTV and
- 25:38Speaker 4: we are live here in Mobile, Alabama covering the twenty
- 25:41Speaker 4: twenty six Panini Senior Ball. But there is no way
- 25:45Speaker 4: we can miss our Wednesday catch up with LSU head
- 25:48Speaker 4: basketball coach Kim Mulki. No matter where we're at, Coach,
- 25:52Speaker 4: it is always a pleasure. Hope you're doing well.
- 25:55Speaker 6: I'm doing great. Are you guys outside? And it's so
- 25:57Speaker 6: uh you covered up?
- 26:00Speaker 4: So no, So practice was a little chili yesterday, coach,
- 26:03Speaker 4: but they moved practice back and so we actually get
- 26:06Speaker 4: to do the show from a convention center and then
- 26:09Speaker 4: the outside portion of it comes a little bit later on.
- 26:12Speaker 3: But coach, you are right, it is pretty damn cold
- 26:15Speaker 3: out there.
- 26:16Speaker 6: Yeah it is. I try to walk every morning, and
- 26:19Speaker 6: I gave up on it. I was like, oh no,
- 26:22Speaker 6: and I can't put any more clothes on. But yes, listen,
- 26:25Speaker 6: we're okay. And I know our North Louisiana, Yeah, partners,
- 26:30Speaker 6: bless their hearts, they're still out of school. Many still
- 26:32Speaker 6: do not have power. Even in Waco where my children,
- 26:37Speaker 6: my daughter and grandchildren are, they they're still out of school,
- 26:40Speaker 6: so we can complain about being told. But we're not
- 26:43Speaker 6: near in as bad shape as those guys.
- 26:47Speaker 3: Yeah, you're right about that, obviously.
- 26:48Speaker 4: All my family coach still up in Shreveport and they
- 26:51Speaker 4: are shouting now, trying to get some power, trying to
- 26:53Speaker 4: get some different things going. And coach, you know how
- 26:55Speaker 4: it is like down here in the South, Like we
- 26:58Speaker 4: can handle a lot tornadoes, rain, hurricane rain, Yeah, but
- 27:03Speaker 4: when it comes to snow, Coach, it just shuts it down.
- 27:06Speaker 6: It does, and you add ice to it, sleep too,
- 27:09Speaker 6: and it's crazy. But anyway, y'all having fun and Mobile,
- 27:14Speaker 6: you know, Mobile takes claim to having the first martigral Grade.
- 27:18Speaker 3: They do, they do, and they try to.
- 27:20Speaker 4: I think they find out we're from Louisiana, coach, and
- 27:23Speaker 4: then they like try to like start, like to pick
- 27:25Speaker 4: a fight with us, and we're like, hey, you you
- 27:27Speaker 4: might have started it if you say so, but we
- 27:30Speaker 4: perfected it.
- 27:30Speaker 3: That's what I like to tell them.
- 27:32Speaker 6: Yeah, it's kind of like bark troop here. Mississippi won't
- 27:36Speaker 6: sack like they did it, and then Louisiana won't sack
- 27:39Speaker 6: like they did it because they bottle it. I don't know,
- 27:41Speaker 6: it doesn't matter. All I know is it's too wonderful things.
- 27:45Speaker 4: There you go, There you go, coach, Do you have
- 27:47Speaker 4: your Mardi Gras outfit already picked out? Like that's a
- 27:50Speaker 4: real question. I can't wait to see what you're gonna
- 27:52Speaker 4: roll out for Mardi Gras season.
- 27:53Speaker 6: I just wear whatever the heck they lay on the bed.
- 27:57Speaker 6: Listen the last game that jacket I will was set
- 28:00Speaker 6: in my closet for I guess a couple of years.
- 28:03Speaker 6: Someone sent it to me, never took the tag off
- 28:06Speaker 6: of it, and it has this beautiful painted tiger on
- 28:10Speaker 6: the back, and so I just wore it. Well, you
- 28:12Speaker 6: wouldn't believe the number of people who want to know
- 28:15Speaker 6: who painted it. I just took the name of the
- 28:17Speaker 6: woman who's inside the jacket, and yeah, they said Lane
- 28:22Speaker 6: Kiffin even said he wanted one, so I I better
- 28:25Speaker 6: buy one.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Huh yeah, coach, that's where I was going to go.
- 28:28Speaker 4: I said, I saw you know Lane Actually quote tweet
- 28:31Speaker 4: is like, I need to find out where I got
- 28:32Speaker 4: this coach. But he can buy it though he's doing okay,
- 28:35Speaker 4: I think he can buy it for himself.
- 28:37Speaker 6: Listen, I'm not a social media person, but my kids
- 28:41Speaker 6: and players and friends, they keep me posted. I'm supposed
- 28:45Speaker 6: to be dating Lane for the last three months. See,
- 28:50Speaker 6: he and I finally came out, so you know, I
- 28:54Speaker 6: guess he's trying to be a little smart Alec when
- 28:57Speaker 6: he probably saw that and they say trolls all the time,
- 29:01Speaker 6: whatever the hell that means, and said I need one. Well,
- 29:07Speaker 6: you know, he's funny, he's clever, he's really He's gonna
- 29:13Speaker 6: be a hit with a lot of people in Louisiana.
- 29:15Speaker 6: But I'll give him one bit of advice. You can troll,
- 29:18Speaker 6: you can do all that you want, but you better.
- 29:20Speaker 3: Win, big boy. That's the truth, no doubt.
- 29:24Speaker 5: Speaking of winning, there is the hot news topic in
- 29:28Speaker 5: the football world is we saw yesterday afternoon that one
- 29:33Speaker 5: of the greatest coaches ever do it at the NFL level,
- 29:35Speaker 5: Bill Belichick, got snubbed as a first ballot Hall of Famer.
- 29:38Speaker 5: He will not be in as a first ballot. So
- 29:40Speaker 5: I don't know if you followed that or saw that.
- 29:42Speaker 5: I just kind of from.
- 29:43Speaker 6: Absolutely I follow it. Let me tell you my Bill
- 29:48Speaker 6: Belichick story. We were at the Athletes one year and
- 29:51Speaker 6: is about five in the morning, LA time, and I
- 29:53Speaker 6: thought I was going to get up early and get
- 29:55Speaker 6: to the workout room and beat everybody. And guess who
- 29:58Speaker 6: was in there. The only person on one of the
- 30:01Speaker 6: only two treadmills. It was this boutique hotel. The treadmills
- 30:06Speaker 6: were side by side. So I had a great conversation
- 30:09Speaker 6: with him. He was working, had his paperwork spread out
- 30:14Speaker 6: in front of him, and I was coarse jogging at
- 30:18Speaker 6: the time, and man, I've jogged longer on that treadmill
- 30:21Speaker 6: than I had in my life because I was picking
- 30:24Speaker 6: his brain. And then I got back to Baylor in
- 30:27Speaker 6: Waco and this huge box of New England Patriots geary
- 30:33Speaker 6: and with a note that said, I know you're in
- 30:35Speaker 6: Cowboy country, but I thought you might enjoy wearing this,
- 30:39Speaker 6: so I have much respect for him. I think it
- 30:43Speaker 6: is petty. I think it's a typical example of the
- 30:48Speaker 6: media probably got their feelings hurt because when he would
- 30:51Speaker 6: go to the media, he'd get one word answers and
- 30:56Speaker 6: they probably think, oh, well, we'll get back at him.
- 30:59Speaker 6: I don't give a rip what you think about the
- 31:02Speaker 6: flake gate or whatever they call it. So you're not
- 31:04Speaker 6: gonna put Tom Brady in because you remember all that
- 31:07Speaker 6: he made it mall a little salter so he could
- 31:09Speaker 6: grip it better. It should be based on exactly what
- 31:13Speaker 6: it is your career on that field, and guys, this
- 31:17Speaker 6: is this is an example of really, this is so
- 31:22Speaker 6: sad because if he's not a Hall of Fame coach,
- 31:25Speaker 6: who is right right?
- 31:27Speaker 3: Nobody? You better say a lot of those busts out
- 31:30Speaker 3: of Canton right now?
- 31:31Speaker 6: Yeah, that's that's crazy. That that's nuts.
- 31:35Speaker 4: Catching up with one of our favorites, LSU head basketball
- 31:39Speaker 4: coach Kim Mulkie here on OTV. Coach, you mentioned the weather,
- 31:42Speaker 4: and obviously it's been bad throughout Louisiana, but you played
- 31:45Speaker 4: a game the other day that's still had ten thousand
- 31:48Speaker 4: strong inside of the p MAC.
- 31:50Speaker 3: It was a great environment. What does that mean to
- 31:53Speaker 3: you to know, like, Okay.
- 31:54Speaker 4: It's not going to be the easiest situation to get here,
- 31:57Speaker 4: but to have home court advantage like you have throughout
- 32:00Speaker 4: your career, certainly here at LSU and to see ten
- 32:03Speaker 4: thousand people in that victory against Florida.
- 32:08Speaker 6: Excuse me, I drove us. I get there about an
- 32:11Speaker 6: hour before, but one of our coaches had texted us
- 32:15Speaker 6: as a staff and said, y'all will not believe these students.
- 32:18Speaker 6: Section the students, they're backed up all the way to
- 32:22Speaker 6: Mike the Tiger and have been for a while.
- 32:25Speaker 3: And it was so cold.
- 32:27Speaker 6: And so when I drive to the arena the FMAC,
- 32:30Speaker 6: I look and I'm like, this is crazy. It's wonderful.
- 32:34Speaker 6: But they didn't have school and they still got up
- 32:38Speaker 6: and you know, it was just it's amazing. But here's
- 32:41Speaker 6: the fun part. During the game, we're going to win
- 32:45Speaker 6: the game, and all of a sudden, you know our
- 32:48Speaker 6: students love to start chanting neck. Well it wasn't the
- 32:51Speaker 6: other night. It was you know, it's great to be
- 32:55Speaker 6: a Florida Gator. Well they took that chance and they
- 32:58Speaker 6: created their own here, and I thought, only at LSU
- 33:02Speaker 6: can you have fun, be sober, be sober, be freezing cold,
- 33:08Speaker 6: and figure out how to have a little life and
- 33:10Speaker 6: a building. And kudos to our students, man, they were awesome.
- 33:14Speaker 6: And then our season ticket holders, a lot of those
- 33:16Speaker 6: are elderly people that have to, you know, plan ahead,
- 33:19Speaker 6: and we moved the game time to six pm, and
- 33:22Speaker 6: for them to show up it was really good. Now
- 33:25Speaker 6: we got another one tomorrow with Arkansas and then eleven
- 33:29Speaker 6: am Sunday against the top twenty five team in Alabama.
- 33:33Speaker 6: So we have three home games and we need to
- 33:36Speaker 6: keep filling it up and keep hoping and praying that
- 33:40Speaker 6: our cohorts, your family in North Louisiana, they all saw
- 33:43Speaker 6: out there at some point.
- 33:46Speaker 5: Coach five straight for your ladies, and talk about individual performing.
- 33:51Speaker 5: I know you had some great performances with Jada Richard.
- 33:54Speaker 5: I joant like, there's a lot of good performances. Highlight
- 33:57Speaker 5: some of the some of the ladies on your team
- 33:59Speaker 5: of what you've seen over the over the stretch of
- 34:00Speaker 5: the season, certainly but especially recently on this five game stretch.
- 34:05Speaker 6: All right, Matt, you got to get your mindset out
- 34:07Speaker 6: of East Texas and Tyler it's Jada Rechard, right, baby rear.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Coach.
- 34:16Speaker 4: We even had this conversation on the way to Mobile, Alabama.
- 34:19Speaker 6: Card It's hard look, man, been in East Texas.
- 34:22Speaker 4: What can we say?
- 34:26Speaker 6: Jada Reschard, She's She's the straw that stirs our drink
- 34:31Speaker 6: right now. And nobody, nobody saw this coming. They knew
- 34:35Speaker 6: she was a very good player. We knew that, but
- 34:38Speaker 6: for her to step up, and I guess the most
- 34:41Speaker 6: impressive thing to me is she has guarded some tremendous
- 34:44Speaker 6: players in our league and this is really just her
- 34:47Speaker 6: first year to be on the court. Last year she
- 34:49Speaker 6: didn't get the minute she wanted and she just figured out,
- 34:53Speaker 6: I'm not coming back there without getting on that floor
- 34:56Speaker 6: and make that woman play me. And she is having
- 34:59Speaker 6: a unbelievable start to her sophomore season. And of course,
- 35:03Speaker 6: you know flage A and Michayla. Don't look at their
- 35:07Speaker 6: stats being down. I tell people, no, no, no, no,
- 35:09Speaker 6: their stats are up because they have talent around them
- 35:12Speaker 6: that they're making better. And you just got to look
- 35:17Speaker 6: at our team, the depth I have. I don't know
- 35:19Speaker 6: from game to game which post players I'm going to
- 35:21Speaker 6: start a lot of that depends on who we're playing,
- 35:24Speaker 6: but they all played pretty much equal minutes and they're
- 35:27Speaker 6: all producing it and that's a good thing to have.
- 35:31Speaker 3: Yeah, no question about a coach.
- 35:32Speaker 4: And you mentioned some of the games that you have
- 35:34Speaker 4: coming up on the schedule, and it's just what we
- 35:37Speaker 4: talk about every single week. You got a game against Arkansas,
- 35:40Speaker 4: then it's a ranked Alabama, it's a rank Texas, it's
- 35:43Speaker 4: a rank South Carolina and Old Miss and of course
- 35:45Speaker 4: you got a trip to Alburn and mixing there in
- 35:47Speaker 4: the middle.
- 35:48Speaker 3: It is put your head down and go to work.
- 35:50Speaker 4: How far ahead, coach, do you talk to your team
- 35:54Speaker 4: about a game or is it truly Like I know
- 35:56Speaker 4: it's cliche, but it's like, we can't focus on three
- 35:58Speaker 4: games from now because you got a team in Arkansas.
- 36:01Speaker 4: We got a team in Alabama that obviously was a
- 36:03Speaker 4: good back and forth a year ago. Like how far
- 36:06Speaker 4: ahead do you try to maybe tell your team in
- 36:08Speaker 4: advance kind of what's coming up on the schedule.
- 36:11Speaker 6: The only thing that I've shared and will ever share
- 36:15Speaker 6: is an opportunity to win the league. And right now,
- 36:18Speaker 6: who's going to win this league? Look and see the
- 36:22Speaker 6: remaining schedule for the teams that are at the top
- 36:25Speaker 6: and who they have to play, and they have to
- 36:27Speaker 6: go on the road. It literally is going to come
- 36:30Speaker 6: down to the entire remaining nine games. We're almost halfway
- 36:34Speaker 6: through the SEC season. That's the only way I would
- 36:37Speaker 6: ever let them look forward. But then you break it
- 36:39Speaker 6: down and go, Okay, you have a chance to win
- 36:42Speaker 6: the league.
- 36:43Speaker 3: Yeah, how do you do that?
- 36:45Speaker 6: You take it one game at a time. We got
- 36:47Speaker 6: to go one and oh, okay, flush that. Got to
- 36:50Speaker 6: go one and oh flush that, And that is how
- 36:53Speaker 6: you add up a lot of wins. We know what
- 36:57Speaker 6: we face and it's going to be interesting because I
- 37:01Speaker 6: don't know in my five years, unless you even the
- 37:04Speaker 6: national championship team at this point, I don't know that
- 37:07Speaker 6: we had a chance to win the league because there were,
- 37:10Speaker 6: you know, some that were still undefeated. Well, Tennessee is undefeated,
- 37:14Speaker 6: but you look at who Tennessee still has to play,
- 37:16Speaker 6: right Who the hank knows what's gonna happen. I do
- 37:20Speaker 6: know this. We've got ten teams in this league ranked
- 37:23Speaker 6: in the top twenty five somewhere in the NCAA playoffs.
- 37:27Speaker 6: We're gonna have to play each other again. And I
- 37:29Speaker 6: don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing,
- 37:31Speaker 6: but it certainly speaks volumes to how tough women's basketball
- 37:35Speaker 6: is in the SEC.
- 37:37Speaker 4: All right, there she is, Coach Kimmulk, You get enough
- 37:39Speaker 4: to join us every single week here on OTV Reminder
- 37:42Speaker 4: tomorrow night, seven pm inside the PMAC LSU and Arkansas,
- 37:47Speaker 4: and we always look forward to watching that team play. Coach,
- 37:50Speaker 4: we appreciate time as always, look forward to every conversation
- 37:53Speaker 4: and enjoy the rest of your week.
- 37:55Speaker 6: Y'all, stay warm and see that's why I'm coaching indoor sport.
- 37:59Speaker 4: Maybe absolutely absolutely appreciated.
- 38:02Speaker 3: Coach. What's that We talked about this on the way here.
- 38:11Speaker 5: Yeah, I know, but she said it was the one
- 38:12Speaker 5: place that wasn't Richard.
- 38:14Speaker 3: Yeah, the one place, but it's not she's from Opelousas me.
- 38:20Speaker 3: To be fair, it was Robert, but not really. But
- 38:25Speaker 3: we talked about the whole life bear Richard. And also
- 38:31Speaker 3: you didn't know she was from Louisiana. I didn't. I
- 38:35Speaker 3: messed that up. I'm trying to make him feel better,
- 38:37Speaker 3: that's me.
- 38:38Speaker 4: I'm just glad somebody else is get in called East
- 38:40Speaker 4: Texas on the show, and that's very fair. All right,
- 38:46Speaker 4: before we get a break on, remind you of our

- 39:07Speaker 3: And they did it for me.
- 39:08Speaker 4: I was blown away. Lived in the house for five years.

- 40:18Speaker 4: join us. I always look forward to our conversation. I
- 40:20Speaker 4: loved her message to Lane Kiffin. She's like, man, I
- 40:23Speaker 4: love you on social media.
- 40:24Speaker 6: I love you.
- 40:25Speaker 4: I love having you around, and you've been great and
- 40:27Speaker 4: I know your troll on social media is like, that's great.
- 40:29Speaker 4: You can do all that, but you better win, big boy.
- 40:32Speaker 3: Thanks.
- 40:32Speaker 5: She said, you can be as funny as cute as
- 40:34Speaker 5: you want on social media.
- 40:37Speaker 3: When baby when Yeah, I always appreciate that.
- 40:39Speaker 6: Man.
- 40:39Speaker 4: It was very cool ten thousand people inside the PMAC
- 40:42Speaker 4: to watch LSU And you know this isn't so Chris
- 40:45Speaker 4: Dorian can hear how bad Florida is a Basketballorida floridast
- 40:50Speaker 4: terrible doring. That's not for me yelling just for that.
- 40:52Speaker 4: That is my point is, oh he heard us. My
- 40:56Speaker 4: point is it's not South Carolina. It's not Texas. It
- 41:00Speaker 4: wasn't Vanderbilt, it was Florida, and you still had ten
- 41:03Speaker 4: thousand people in bad weather school being canceled finding their
- 41:07Speaker 4: way to the p MAC. And it's incredible culture that
- 41:09Speaker 4: Coach Mulk and a team have built.
- 41:11Speaker 3: YEP.
- 41:11Speaker 5: And that was very kind of coach Kim Malki to
- 41:15Speaker 5: subtly correct me when I said Jada Richard and not Reshart.
- 41:20Speaker 3: That's on me. You don't have to bring it back up.
- 41:22Speaker 3: I know. No, I needed to from Texas and in the.
- 41:25Speaker 5: Air well, I am from Texas, hadn't been there, hadn't lived.
- 41:30Speaker 3: There, and what with twenty two years I'm trying to
- 41:34Speaker 3: help you just been a minute.
- 41:35Speaker 5: No accountability, that's what it's all about. I've got to
- 41:38Speaker 5: have accountability in life.
- 41:40Speaker 3: And I messed it up. That's fair.
- 41:42Speaker 5: So that's the last time I'll ever mess up a
- 41:43Speaker 5: name or a word.
- 41:45Speaker 3: No right here, heard here first. No, This show misses
- 41:49Speaker 3: no regates up a lot, and we'll continue to do.
- 41:52Speaker 3: It's just who we are, the work of the.
- 41:53Speaker 5: Show, usually unapologetically. But you know, Devis, I just want
- 41:57Speaker 5: to bring it so that's very nice of her to.
- 41:58Speaker 4: Yeah, Uman miel One is one that we're gonna have
- 42:02Speaker 4: to say, I'm sure I messed it up right there.
- 42:03Speaker 3: So we got used to all these all these words. Yeah,
- 42:06Speaker 3: you just just rip it. Yeah, it's like when you
- 42:10Speaker 3: had the.
- 42:11Speaker 4: Like when two a tongue of Baila started started.
- 42:15Speaker 3: Yep, no shot, God, there was one more. I'll get there.
- 42:20Speaker 3: Speaking of ripping it, have you met anybody from Panini?
- 42:24Speaker 3: Not one person.
- 42:25Speaker 4: I hadn't seen one person that I did see the
- 42:27Speaker 4: big Did you see the thing yesterday when you walk
- 42:29Speaker 4: into the stadium like.
- 42:30Speaker 3: Where you can get the card and them. I just
- 42:34Speaker 3: knew that I was going to get a picture from
- 42:36Speaker 3: a Landra with you in that box.
- 42:40Speaker 4: As much as you've talked about Lsu getting in and
- 42:43Speaker 4: then card lover as well.
- 42:45Speaker 5: And I looked at it, I was like, oh, that's
- 42:46Speaker 5: that's that's cute. I should have gotten it. But yeah,
- 42:50Speaker 5: I was kind of this point. I wanted to meet
- 42:51Speaker 5: some big wigs. I wanted to meet the owner of
- 42:53Speaker 5: Panina and like, you know, maybe get a couple of
- 42:55Speaker 5: free packs out of them. All right, we haven't asked
- 42:58Speaker 5: anybody either. Weren't they supposed to all the participants in
- 43:02Speaker 5: the Senior Bowl where they supposed to get like a
- 43:03Speaker 5: special Senior Bowl.
- 43:05Speaker 3: One of one car to themselves.
- 43:06Speaker 5: I think it's what it's the rumor, that was the rumor.
- 43:09Speaker 5: We need to get that confirmed. Yeah, I'd like to
- 43:11Speaker 5: see it. You think they'll make one of us then
- 43:14Speaker 5: maybe like steal it.
- 43:16Speaker 3: No, I'll make it.
- 43:17Speaker 4: I'll barter it for it's gonna be. I don't think
- 43:20Speaker 4: Garrett Nessmeyer is in the card world like we are.
- 43:23Speaker 4: So I hey, Garrett, not yet, do you really want
- 43:26Speaker 4: to I'll give you this my high hat if you
- 43:28Speaker 4: give me this one of one card.
- 43:30Speaker 3: I got packs here. I want five packs five my highs.
- 43:35Speaker 3: You know were getting the boxes five individual Well, you
- 43:38Speaker 3: gotta start low. Maybe we'll meet in the middle somewhere.
- 43:41Speaker 3: So he's gonna give you this one of one card
- 43:43Speaker 3: from the Senior Bow.
- 43:43Speaker 5: No one wants to speak first when it comes to negotiations.
- 43:46Speaker 3: Okay, that's fair. It's a very fair point, all right.
- 43:50Speaker 3: So we still have out number three coming your way.
- 43:52Speaker 4: We'll take a look at some of the guys that
- 43:55Speaker 4: we kind of highlighted yesterday that potentially could be fits
- 43:58Speaker 4: for the New Orleans sine and kind of what they're
- 44:01Speaker 4: looking for.
- 44:02Speaker 3: The deep edge Rusher class and I thought the edge rushers, I.
- 44:05Speaker 4: Thought they showed out yesterday. I thought there was multiple
- 44:07Speaker 4: that did a really nice job. And look it's a
- 44:09Speaker 4: defensive drill, but they did a really nice job in
- 44:12Speaker 4: one on ones getting to the quarterback.
- 44:15Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a certainly an exciting period that you could
- 44:17Speaker 5: tell because there was every single scout was sitting there
- 44:20Speaker 5: and like I said earlier, circled up like it was
- 44:23Speaker 5: a it was a school recess fight and they were
- 44:26Speaker 5: sitting there watching and it was man, it was exciting.
- 44:28Speaker 5: And you can tell you gotta you can't. There's no
- 44:30Speaker 5: hiding in that drill. There is no hiding. All eyes
- 44:33Speaker 5: around you. It is mono emanou.
- 44:37Speaker 3: Yeah, and there was some I.
- 44:38Speaker 5: Can't remember the player who it was flat back to
- 44:41Speaker 5: a tackle in one on ones, but in the next roup,
- 44:44Speaker 5: tackle one, the tackle one, the tackle one, the drill.
- 44:47Speaker 3: So it's just it's all about that.
- 44:48Speaker 1: And believe that.
- 44:51Speaker 3: Remember three.
- 44:54Speaker 2: Off the bench, off the bench, that was seamless.
- 44:58Speaker 3: Are you kid maing that transition? Incredible radio pro All right.
