  great Lakes Recovery Centers in Michigan is getting ready to add a new campus.

  The $3.4 million expansion is funded by the West End Health Foundation

  and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services West End will divide

  its $300,000 donation between five years.

  Michigan's D H H S is giving 2.8 million.

  GRC is still seeking donations for the remaining funds needed.

  The new John Cabela Center will offer residential treatment for women with

  substance use disorder issues. It'll include detoxification services,

  a recovery home for women and their children,

  outpatient mental and physical health services, psychiatric care,

  mental health and substance use disorder, outpatient counseling,

  as well as neurodevelopmental trauma assessments.

  The center was previously the Teal Lake Medical Building following former

  state representative Mr. Cabela's death. In 2017,

  it was renamed to honor him. Second,

  another Michigan mental health system is seeking money to expand.

  The Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network is asking Michigan for

  227 million. The funds would support

  DNS plan to add four 50 inpatient beds.

  It would also create a new crisis center as well as a specialized,

  holistic and integrated resource center in Detroit. Third,

  a proposed Alabama law would apply a phone surcharge to all residents to fund

  its 9 88 crisis care system hotline.

  The bill asked for a 98 cents monthly edition on every landline, wireless,

  or other voice communication services.

  This is one of the highest suggested rates in the country.

  It would bring in more than 69 million every year.

  The bill would also create a governing board and additional funding for a 9 88

  crisis system of care.

  This encompasses crisis care centers and mobile crisis care units.

  The surcharge is similar to the one that funds the 9 1 1 emergency hotline.
