Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: From Hollywood to you.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Thank you for listening to on Air with a Ryan
- 0:07Speaker 2: Seacrest on two point seven, because I've been Los Angeles.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Good Mornings, isn't he Tanya Ryan Tuesday?
- 0:17Speaker 3: Do it?
- 0:18Speaker 2: Do it? You know we've got to do every day.
- 0:21Speaker 2: I don't have put too much pressure on us, but
- 0:23Speaker 2: every day we gotta do something a little bit better
- 0:25Speaker 2: than yesterday. And so I was thinking about this while
- 0:28Speaker 2: not sleeping last night, and I was thinking, what we
- 0:32Speaker 2: We need to do two things, and we need to
- 0:33Speaker 2: pick one for today. So the two choices to be
- 0:36Speaker 2: better today than yesterday, number one choice, wake up today.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Between now and when you go to bed, do something
- 0:43Speaker 2: really nice for someone that you probably won't know the
- 0:47Speaker 2: outcome of your niceness too. For example, I don't have
- 0:53Speaker 2: examples like are you how do you do it? You
- 0:56Speaker 2: send them it's a random act of kindness, but you
- 0:59Speaker 2: may not You may not the Mevericans. You may not
- 1:01Speaker 2: know that.
- 1:02Speaker 4: It's like a stranger.
- 1:03Speaker 5: If you're in line at Starbucks and you buy, you
- 1:05Speaker 5: pay for the coffee behind you. You don't know them,
- 1:07Speaker 5: you may never see them.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Yes, no, I'm thinking more creative, but yes, that's an example. Okay,
- 1:14Speaker 2: the other thing we we need to do is make
- 1:18Speaker 2: We need to create like more memorable moments right that
- 1:21Speaker 2: we really look back on. We just because I think
- 1:24Speaker 2: we go to if we go full speed in the line,
- 1:26Speaker 2: I know, and you like think back and go, wait
- 1:29Speaker 2: a minute, did I create enough memorable moments that day,
- 1:32Speaker 2: that week, that year? So which one do you want today?
- 1:35Speaker 2: Which one do you want to?
- 1:36Speaker 6: You don't have to do it here, memorable moment today
- 1:40Speaker 6: and I will do it here. I mean the fact
- 1:41Speaker 6: that Olivia Rodriguez going to be here today, that needs
- 1:43Speaker 6: to be like a memorable moment that we look back at,
- 1:44Speaker 6: like even ten years from now and be like that
- 1:46Speaker 6: was cool.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Let's take that because that is super cool. I mean,
- 1:49Speaker 2: it's cool that we get to talk to her about
- 1:51Speaker 2: the album it's not even out yet, the song that
- 1:53Speaker 2: is out, and what it's all about. So that could
- 1:55Speaker 2: be a memorable moment for all of us to share together.
- 1:57Speaker 2: But think about your own and create one. Doesn't have
- 1:59Speaker 2: to be, but try and get one in before the
- 2:01Speaker 2: week's end, because when you look back, that's what's gonna
- 2:04Speaker 2: be all about. Yep, those memorable moments. So if my
- 2:08Speaker 2: memory serves me, we're about to pay a bill that's
- 2:10Speaker 2: coming up next. We're doing that every single hour. Got
- 2:12Speaker 2: Somber tickets and Olivia Rodrigo will be here in the studio.
- 2:17Speaker 2: That's happening around eight o'clock this morning on Kiss FM,
- 2:21Speaker 2: John Marson, it is Kiss FM, Ryan Seacrest with you
- 2:25Speaker 2: paying your bills. Mostly cloudy today. Hi's in the mid seventies.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Some showers possible this afternoon, but nothing major. I'm looking
- 2:32Speaker 2: forward to the weekend. I'm gonna get out and my
- 2:34Speaker 2: Bronco this weekend, put my bike in the back and
- 2:37Speaker 2: I'm might head to a path, the trail. Find your path,
- 2:39Speaker 2: very much into it. I'm very much what's up? I say,
- 2:42Speaker 2: find your path. I'm very much into finding my paths.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Very manly of you to.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Load up my Bronco with my throw two wheeler.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Throw my wheelers into my hog.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Not a pedal assist. This is a pedal not a
- 2:55Speaker 2: pedal assist. Nice about that, Tubs. So I'm glad you
- 2:59Speaker 2: brought this up, Sisnea, because I actually have a total
- 3:02Speaker 2: conflict at my sink in my bathroom with this very issue,
- 3:06Speaker 2: and that is, I know I'm supposed to use the
- 3:10Speaker 2: electric toothbrush, but I go always fall back into the
- 3:14Speaker 2: old school regular toothbrush. This is your issue.
- 3:17Speaker 6: So I have a bone to pick with my electric toothbrush,
- 3:19Speaker 6: because every time I use it, it wants me to
- 3:21Speaker 6: use it for two minutes, and every thirty seconds it buzzes.
- 3:24Speaker 6: So I'm like, okay, thirty seconds are down, one minutes down.
- 3:26Speaker 6: And even if I get to a minute thirty, which
- 3:28Speaker 6: is still great, I think, in my opinion, to brush
- 3:30Speaker 6: your teeth, it still gives me a sad face. So
- 3:32Speaker 6: then it just puts me in a bad mood when
- 3:33Speaker 6: I'm waking up in the morning or if I'm going
- 3:34Speaker 6: to bed at night.
- 3:35Speaker 2: I find that to be a very long time. I
- 3:37Speaker 2: don't get near that an electric when I use it,
- 3:40Speaker 2: or my archival one, my old school toothbrush. The thing
- 3:44Speaker 2: is right it bothers me about the electric toothbrush is
- 3:49Speaker 2: I can't brush my tongue with that little thing of brush.
- 3:54Speaker 5: Use your toothbrush to brush your tongue. There's a tongue
- 3:57Speaker 5: or scraper for that.
- 3:58Speaker 2: I try two birds and a stone and get through it.
- 4:01Speaker 2: And I brought I used the big, bigger bristle toothbrush,
- 4:04Speaker 2: the old one, to get my tongue well that little one,
- 4:07Speaker 2: those little bristles on bend around, so rounnie kick it
- 4:10Speaker 2: across the landscape of your tongue. But two minutes. I mean,
- 4:13Speaker 2: you're right, that is what we should be doing. But
- 4:16Speaker 2: such a long If.
- 4:17Speaker 6: You get that far, it's like like it just gives
- 4:20Speaker 6: you a me like sad face.
- 4:21Speaker 2: It's like, it's it's what your body. It releases cortisols
- 4:25Speaker 2: and changes the whole body chemistry. Can't do that to me.
- 4:29Speaker 2: I haven't had my coffee yet. Yeah, just starting, my dad,
- 4:31Speaker 2: and you're like all excited and get started. It's like
- 4:34Speaker 2: that was okay. I guess no, it should be like
- 4:36Speaker 2: great work. Keep got one leg of the relays down,
- 4:38Speaker 2: let's go one more up here we.
- 4:40Speaker 5: Go something like I think you can turn that setting off, though,
- 4:43Speaker 5: we'll have to find out.
- 4:44Speaker 2: I have to find out, because it's the little things
- 4:46Speaker 2: at the beginning to day. They can set you off
- 4:48Speaker 2: or on the right path. And our toothbrush is one
- 4:50Speaker 2: of them.
- 4:50Speaker 6: That is just okay man, it's it kiss and it's Tuesday.
- 4:58Speaker 2: We've got a second date update coming up. Would you
- 5:01Speaker 2: ever date someone with the same name as you? I'm
- 5:03Speaker 2: gonna tell you right now.
- 5:04Speaker 4: Yes, well, yeah, your name would be so cute to
- 5:07Speaker 4: date a girl Ryan Ryan Ryan.
- 5:09Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Also, like if you Mickay, you can back me up
- 5:13Speaker 2: on this. If you're looking at things to disqualify getting together,
- 5:18Speaker 2: your name is not one of them. There are plenty
- 5:20Speaker 2: of other things that have to add up to be good.
- 5:23Speaker 2: The box has to be checked. I'm not gonna let
- 5:25Speaker 2: that box be an issue. Right, would you date a
- 5:28Speaker 2: Mikayla Michayla? I mean I don't know about that. McCabe, sure, sure, No.
- 5:36Speaker 2: I don't think I could date someone with my brother's name.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, No, you're right. Yeah, it's clear. I
- 5:44Speaker 2: couldn't do anything ever could what's his name, Marco? I
- 5:48Speaker 2: could never date him? On You're right, I'm with you.
- 5:51Speaker 2: I got a Hobby air coverarel on the line from
- 5:53Speaker 2: It's Taco Tuesday, Taco madness is in full effect here
- 5:57Speaker 2: from La Taco is here. How are you, buddy?
- 6:00Speaker 8: Hey man?
- 6:00Speaker 1: What's up? It's good? I'm doing you good? How are you?
- 6:02Speaker 2: I'm doing great? Is that time of year now? We
- 6:06Speaker 2: have so much pride and so many different opportunities to
- 6:10Speaker 2: have a great taco like we love our tacos. We
- 6:13Speaker 2: have so many different styles of tacos here in southern California.
- 6:16Speaker 2: When my friends come to visit, that's what they want
- 6:18Speaker 2: to do. What taco? What tacos? Can we have? How
- 6:20Speaker 2: many times can we go? Can weet them all weekend
- 6:22Speaker 2: long answers, Yes, yes, yes, And every year at this
- 6:25Speaker 2: time we vote for the best tacos in l A.
- 6:29Speaker 2: And you're down to the top four. Is that right?
- 6:32Speaker 1: We're down to the top. We're about to be in
- 6:34Speaker 1: the top four tomorrow tomorrow, which is Wednesday, So yeah.
- 6:37Speaker 9: We you know it's it's uh, it's cutthroat, man. It's
- 6:40Speaker 9: this year is it's it's going the our taco stands.
- 6:43Speaker 1: And taco restaurants that we feature are going really hard.
- 6:46Speaker 2: So La Taco dot Com you can vote. It's the
- 6:48Speaker 2: final four. Last year was Tacos los Cholos.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Yeah, Barklings Shoos. Yeah, there are a three time champion.
- 6:54Speaker 1: You know right now they're leading again.
- 6:57Speaker 9: You know, they're they're the ones that created the I
- 7:00Speaker 9: call it from barrio to bougie styled carna a taco
- 7:03Speaker 9: because you can choose whether you want to drop like
- 7:05Speaker 9: a few bucks on like a chuck stake, or whether
- 7:07Speaker 9: you want to ball out and get some nice prime
- 7:10Speaker 9: Ribbi or something like that.
- 7:11Speaker 1: But it's it's a delicious taco Teddy's.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Now, what happened to Teddy's? Teddy's red tacos went out
- 7:16Speaker 2: in the first round. That is not normal for us
- 7:19Speaker 2: in LA.
- 7:20Speaker 9: Yeah, you know, we've been doing this for a long time.
- 7:22Speaker 9: This is I think we are like seventeenth year doing it.
- 7:24Speaker 9: So you know, we actually have a different biga competition.
- 7:29Speaker 1: We call that Biria.
- 7:30Speaker 9: Amania and I our readers and our viewers, I think
- 7:33Speaker 9: they're aware of that.
- 7:34Speaker 1: And you know, we always give Bria a fighting chance.
- 7:36Speaker 9: But but I guess in the grand scheme of things,
- 7:39Speaker 9: I mean.
- 7:39Speaker 1: The people will tell you.
- 7:40Speaker 9: You know, people love asada, people love al pastour, people.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Even love vegetarian tacos. They're they're up there too.
- 7:46Speaker 9: So yeah, Birria, I think it still still needs some
- 7:50Speaker 9: still needs some some more years to kind of forge
- 7:52Speaker 9: itself into LA's identity.
- 7:54Speaker 2: You know that the mesquite flavor, the thos Clos does
- 7:57Speaker 2: that grilled mesquite flavor. That's a magic power.
- 8:01Speaker 9: Yeah, you know, and it's and it's funny, you know,
- 8:03Speaker 9: I actually go there and I'm a simple guy, you know,
- 8:06Speaker 9: My favorite taco from them is.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Actually a grilled cheese taco. It's a it's a grilled
- 8:11Speaker 1: it's a grilled cao.
- 8:12Speaker 9: Fresco called panela, and it doesn't melt so it's almost
- 8:15Speaker 9: like a Greek kind of cheese, like one of those
- 8:16Speaker 9: Greek balcacues, and it gets.
- 8:18Speaker 1: A little seared texture.
- 8:19Speaker 9: And I'm a big fan of a cheese taco.
- 8:22Speaker 1: That's Snaka said. Yeah, which there is a difference, Ran.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Yes, I know. And you have over the years taught
- 8:26Speaker 2: me a lot about tacos and the architecture of them
- 8:29Speaker 2: and the different things you can do. I mean it's
- 8:31Speaker 2: a canvas. So vote for the final four who deserves
- 8:35Speaker 2: to win the title this year. They will have lines
- 8:38Speaker 2: around the block. It will be a super super win
- 8:41Speaker 2: for them. So you can vote with the final four
- 8:43Speaker 2: tonight midnight at La Taco dot Com is when that
- 8:46Speaker 2: final four voting begins. Jaber Cabrel La Taco dot Com
- 8:50Speaker 2: check it out.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Thank you so much, Ryan, have a good one, okay.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Buddy, great. You know one talks about the cheese being able
- 8:55Speaker 2: to be like grilled or seared. Yeah, I can see
- 8:57Speaker 2: it and smell it right now. I can literally my
- 9:00Speaker 2: stomach is chemically doing things right now. If you do
- 9:05Speaker 2: something before you run your dishwasher, your dishes will get cleaner,
- 9:09Speaker 2: meaning are they not getting clean enough. I'll tell you
- 9:11Speaker 2: what this is in a second, and we have a
- 9:13Speaker 2: quote of the day on Kism. So your dishwasher, when
- 9:17Speaker 2: you do your dishes like last night when you did them,
- 9:19Speaker 2: it's gonna do better work and reach its peak potential.
- 9:22Speaker 2: If you run your sink's hot water just before, it
- 9:26Speaker 2: means all the water feeding into the dishwasher will actually
- 9:28Speaker 2: be hot at the start of the cycle. It allows
- 9:31Speaker 2: it to clean and dry better. If you think it's
- 9:34Speaker 2: not doing the job, that can solve the problem. So
- 9:37Speaker 2: even never try or thing about or it doesn't even
- 9:39Speaker 2: make sense necessarily to me, but any today's quote. Excited
- 9:47Speaker 2: about the quotes every day assumptions are the termites of relationships. O.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Yeah, you cannot.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Assume things will get you into the rabbit hole of trouble?
- 10:02Speaker 2: What do termites do?
- 10:03Speaker 10: Again?
- 10:03Speaker 2: And like Reaser would they would? They destroy your house?
- 10:12Speaker 2: They destroyed the whole thing. It's all come tunneling down.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Kiss Kiss FM headlines with siciny, well, this is crazy.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Several vehicles were damaged overnight after someone threw a Lime
- 10:24Speaker 3: scooter from the Adams of Boulevard overpass onto the one
- 10:28Speaker 3: ten freeway.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Downtown.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Apple CEO Tim Cook will step down after nearly fifteen
- 10:34Speaker 3: years and will become the company's executive chairman.
- 10:36Speaker 2: In September, the.
- 10:38Speaker 3: LA Homeless Services Authority announced that the agency will lay
- 10:42Speaker 3: off two hundred and eighty four employees at the end
- 10:44Speaker 3: of June, and Coachella organizers were fined forty four thousand
- 10:48Speaker 3: dollars by the City of Indio for curfew violations during
- 10:51Speaker 3: week and two of the festival.
- 10:54Speaker 2: The two point seven It's Kiss FM, Ryan Seacrest here.
- 10:57Speaker 2: You know, when people come to town, they want to
- 10:59Speaker 2: do stuff. They want to go see. Maybe they want
- 11:01Speaker 2: to go watch a show tape, or they want to
- 11:02Speaker 2: go to the Walk of Fame Hollywood Boulevard, they want
- 11:05Speaker 2: to see the Hollywood Sign. You know, we're doing American
- 11:08Speaker 2: Idol right now, and two of the idols they finalist.
- 11:11Speaker 2: The contestants rented a car and they wanted to drive
- 11:14Speaker 2: PCH and so they just rolled out in a rental
- 11:16Speaker 2: I think it was a Ford Mustang and they cruised
- 11:18Speaker 2: PCH no destination. Just wanted to say they rode on PC.
- 11:22Speaker 2: I've definitely done that and if they kept going, it
- 11:25Speaker 2: could have hit Snoop Dogg's new attraction. There's a Snoop
- 11:30Speaker 2: Dogg ice cream parlor now in Venice cisiny tell us
- 11:34Speaker 2: about this and what's their specialty.
- 11:36Speaker 6: Yeah, Doctor Bombay ice Cream is now officially opened in
- 11:40Speaker 6: Venice Beach. They're calling it hip hop style ice cream
- 11:43Speaker 6: and of course, like you're saying, it was founded by
- 11:45Speaker 6: Snoop Dogg and his son Cordel And you can already
- 11:48Speaker 6: get Doctor Bombay ice cream at Walmart seven to eleven
- 11:50Speaker 6: things like that, but this.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Is the actual store.
- 11:53Speaker 6: This is the storefront for it, so it's really exciting.
- 11:55Speaker 6: There's a lot of buzz before this actually happened and open,
- 11:58Speaker 6: but the ribbon has been cut. And yes, some of
- 12:00Speaker 6: the flavors I stout orange cream, strawberry dream cream.
- 12:05Speaker 2: That vibrant sort of fruity flavor with the ice cream.
- 12:09Speaker 6: Yes, baked blueberry muffin, long beach fruit cart and peanut
- 12:15Speaker 6: butter jelly time with some of the few and it
- 12:17Speaker 6: just I love anything Snoop does.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Don't gloss over peanut butter jelly time. That's the one
- 12:23Speaker 2: all those that would be the one that I would
- 12:25Speaker 2: love the most, that one I could taste you like
- 12:27Speaker 2: the blueberry, Tanya.
- 12:28Speaker 5: I love nothing I love more than a blueberry muffin,
- 12:31Speaker 5: like especially the top of it.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Well, the top is that's all I.
- 12:39Speaker 6: Because we've gotten muffins here before. And if all the
- 12:41Speaker 6: tops are gone, you know Ryan went and picked all
- 12:43Speaker 6: of them off for sure, better texture and fewer calories,
- 12:46Speaker 6: I'm surem.
- 12:49Speaker 2: So this is called a second date update. Basically, when
- 12:52Speaker 2: you get blown off and you need to know why,
- 12:54Speaker 2: come to us. We'll get the person on the phone
- 12:56Speaker 2: and try and find out. Usually it works out. Usually
- 12:59Speaker 2: it really ends up working out. You definitely get the answer.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Sometimes it turns into a second date. But Jordan's in Northwridch.
- 13:05Speaker 2: You come morning, Jordan, Good morning. So Jordan, you met
- 13:10Speaker 2: on Hinge and you laughed about the fact that you
- 13:13Speaker 2: have the exact same first name as he does. Jordan
- 13:16Speaker 2: meets Jordan, right, And then I guess we asked the question,
- 13:21Speaker 2: could you date the person that has your name? My
- 13:25Speaker 2: answer is yeah, I mean with mine, I could sure, fine,
- 13:28Speaker 2: I had no issue with that. Yeah, And then Mikayla said,
- 13:31Speaker 2: for sure we could not date a person that has
- 13:34Speaker 2: our siblings name. I think that's true, that's true. But
- 13:39Speaker 2: for this it was an icebreaker, right, Oh yeah.
- 13:42Speaker 11: No, it definitely was an icebreaker because I mean, when
- 13:45Speaker 11: you're on hinge, you know, you always have to say
- 13:46Speaker 11: something kind of catchy, right, So it was one of
- 13:49Speaker 11: those things that was like, oh, like we've got the
- 13:51Speaker 11: first you know, like the same first name and.
- 13:54Speaker 10: Everything like that. So it was kind of funny.
- 13:56Speaker 2: What happened though? What went wrong? So it sounds like
- 13:58Speaker 2: that's a fun first step. Now he hasn't texted you
- 14:01Speaker 2: since you went out? What happened?
- 14:03Speaker 11: Yeah, So that's that's the whole reason why I'm calling today.
- 14:08Speaker 11: Is So we started chatting immediately after that, and I'm
- 14:13Speaker 11: a big sense of humor kind of person, and he
- 14:16Speaker 11: was so so funny, and I don't know, like I
- 14:20Speaker 11: was kind of saying, like maybe did I swipe left
- 14:23Speaker 11: on him because of his named before? But for some reason,
- 14:25Speaker 11: I guess like this time, you know.
- 14:27Speaker 10: Very ferendipitous or whatever.
- 14:30Speaker 12: And then we actually planned a date and like we laughed,
- 14:35Speaker 12: everything clicked, like we had a lot of the similar
- 14:37Speaker 12: I don't know, interests and ideas and I don't know
- 14:41Speaker 12: a lot of guys that play pool, but he played
- 14:43Speaker 12: pool with me, and yeah, he doesn't checked me back
- 14:46Speaker 12: since okay.
- 14:47Speaker 2: And you have no idea what happened at the end
- 14:49Speaker 2: of you kids.
- 14:53Speaker 10: No, actually, which was very interesting. But I mean that's.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Okay, I think, right, I generally don't. You don't, I.
- 15:04Speaker 10: Don't know, like I'm I'm I guess I just kind
- 15:06Speaker 10: of want some clarity. And I'm like, is this like
- 15:08Speaker 10: a name thing?
- 15:09Speaker 1: Like?
- 15:10Speaker 12: And I'm kind of you know, you know, like when
- 15:12Speaker 12: you don't hear from somebody, you're rethinking everything and.
- 15:15Speaker 2: I assuming, which could be misake. We're gonna put you
- 15:19Speaker 2: on hold. We have the other Jordan's number, and apparently
- 15:23Speaker 2: the other Jordan Jordan he has agreed to come on
- 15:25Speaker 2: with us next. You'll listen in. Let's see what we
- 15:27Speaker 2: can find out from that Jordan. Yes, I do not
- 15:30Speaker 2: generally on a first date ton you don't act so alarmed.
- 15:32Speaker 2: I think that everything I am easy.
- 15:37Speaker 5: No, you seem like another way to descrire efficient. So
- 15:40Speaker 5: you want to like know if you have chemistation.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Right away efficient and dating that's not romantic.
- 15:47Speaker 5: I like to test it out the first date, see
- 15:49Speaker 5: if there's chemistry. If there's not no need for a second.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Let's come back. That's the reason. Maybe you're with someone
- 15:55Speaker 2: on I don't know, Just Kiss FM. We're in the
- 15:59Speaker 2: middle of a second date. Update Jordan met another Jordan
- 16:02Speaker 2: on Hinge and Jordan. We have the guy Jordan on
- 16:05Speaker 2: the line, the guy that you went out with. So
- 16:07Speaker 2: I'm gonna jump right into him. But you you made
- 16:09Speaker 2: a joke, you went out, you said the date was great.
- 16:13Speaker 2: He made a joke that you might be the reason
- 16:15Speaker 2: he has not called you since. What was that about?
- 16:20Speaker 11: So I might have said that if we this is
- 16:25Speaker 11: so silly that if we got married, that I couldn't
- 16:28Speaker 11: take his last name because we'd have.
- 16:29Speaker 10: The same names.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Yeah, and you.
- 16:33Speaker 11: Know, you always overthink everything, So it's like, was that aggressive?
- 16:36Speaker 2: I don't know. Well, I generally, as I said, don't
- 16:41Speaker 2: kiss after first date, Tony, and I don't bring up
- 16:43Speaker 2: the word marriage on a first day generally. All right,
- 16:48Speaker 2: do you ever bring it up?
- 16:49Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 16:49Speaker 2: No, I have not yet. I feel like you Wait,
- 16:52Speaker 2: I have mentioned said that. You guys have said it.
- 16:54Speaker 2: All right, let's get to be very quiet. Jordan female.
- 16:58Speaker 2: I have Jordan male on the other line, and we're
- 17:00Speaker 2: going to talk to Hi about why he didn't call
- 17:01Speaker 2: you back. Okay, here we go. Hey, bro, how are
- 17:05Speaker 2: you Jordan? Good? Are you? I'm great? Thanks for greena.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Come on. My name is Ryan and you are on
- 17:12Speaker 2: the air as they told you on Kiss FM. So
- 17:14Speaker 2: we're calling you about Jordan, who you met on Hinge
- 17:16Speaker 2: and you want on a date with. How was that date? O?
- 17:22Speaker 8: Wait?
- 17:22Speaker 13: Is this Ryan Seacrest?
- 17:24Speaker 2: Yes, sir, Jordan.
- 17:26Speaker 8: Gotcha?
- 17:27Speaker 13: Yeah, I mean, you know, like it was great. I
- 17:31Speaker 13: mean a little crazy that we had the same name,
- 17:33Speaker 13: but like you know that the date went pretty well,
- 17:36Speaker 13: you know, like.
- 17:37Speaker 2: So I'll get to detail later, but most importantly, the
- 17:40Speaker 2: date went well. I obviously know about the date. Have
- 17:43Speaker 2: you asked her out again?
- 17:48Speaker 8: I haven't asked her out again?
- 17:49Speaker 2: And why is that so?
- 17:52Speaker 13: I mean, I guess it's not really any of my business,
- 17:55Speaker 13: but when we were playing pool, I noticed like she
- 18:00Speaker 13: had a hickey, and like, you know, I'm not judging her,
- 18:03Speaker 13: but like clearly there's somebody else like in the picture
- 18:06Speaker 13: with her, and I just I'm not looking to get
- 18:08Speaker 13: involved in like anything messy.
- 18:10Speaker 2: You know, Yeah, I understand. I mean the problem those
- 18:12Speaker 2: things are like when they happen. You can't believe that
- 18:15Speaker 2: they just happened. You're like, hey, hey, hey, hey we
- 18:18Speaker 2: do wait, let's gonna leave a mark for ten days?
- 18:20Speaker 4: Who care?
- 18:21Speaker 2: I might explaining not to Cicity in Tanya is what
- 18:23Speaker 2: you might say. So Jordan, uh, girl, male, you think
- 18:32Speaker 2: there's another dude? Otherwise everything was good. Had you not
- 18:36Speaker 2: have seen that sign, everything was going swimmingly correct?
- 18:40Speaker 8: Jordan, Yeah, I.
- 18:42Speaker 10: Mean she was cool.
- 18:43Speaker 1: She's beautiful.
- 18:44Speaker 8: I had a lot of fund.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Okay, So other Jordan is on the line. Jordan girl
- 18:50Speaker 2: and Jordan guy who meant on hine went out? So Jordan,
- 18:53Speaker 2: can you explain this love bite?
- 18:56Speaker 10: Yes?
- 18:59Speaker 12: He is like, and I actually tried really really hard
- 19:03Speaker 12: to cover it up and it's not it's not a
- 19:04Speaker 12: hiccy though.
- 19:06Speaker 8: What is it then that works out early iron burned
- 19:10Speaker 8: or something.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Flat iron lose control?
- 19:14Speaker 1: No?
- 19:14Speaker 10: So do you guys know what a guaha is?
- 19:18Speaker 14: Yes?
- 19:19Speaker 2: I do not?
- 19:22Speaker 10: Okay, So gouasha is like this like tool that you
- 19:26Speaker 10: use and it's it's for your lymphatic system on your
- 19:29Speaker 10: face and you like, you know, moving.
- 19:30Speaker 6: Around and yeh might have one actually, yeah, for sure,
- 19:34Speaker 6: use one all the time.
- 19:35Speaker 2: I know that.
- 19:37Speaker 11: Yeah, they always recommend that you use like faith oil,
- 19:43Speaker 11: and like I kind of made my own and I
- 19:45Speaker 11: think I like messed with.
- 19:45Speaker 10: The like essential oils or whatever.
- 19:48Speaker 12: But it kind of caused like a burn sensation in
- 19:52Speaker 12: this one area.
- 19:54Speaker 4: Like you bruised yourself because you press so hard.
- 19:57Speaker 10: Yeah, okay, don't know, maybe I was stressed.
- 20:01Speaker 2: I believe her, Jordan, this is great. It's not what
- 20:04Speaker 2: you thought. It's a that thing. Uh yeah, And she's
- 20:08Speaker 2: she's lymphatic draining.
- 20:09Speaker 10: Bro.
- 20:09Speaker 2: That is a good sign of taking care of themselves.
- 20:12Speaker 2: That's a Jack Green flag lymphatic drainage on your own
- 20:16Speaker 2: like that? So why do you ask rad again?
- 20:18Speaker 8: Bro?
- 20:20Speaker 1: Jordan, would you like to hang out this weekend?
- 20:23Speaker 6: Maybe?
- 20:24Speaker 13: Yes?
- 20:24Speaker 2: I wag all right, Well, don't drain anything before you
- 20:30Speaker 2: go out with him this time?
- 20:32Speaker 10: Is that normal?
- 20:33Speaker 1: Is the washaw thing?
- 20:35Speaker 13: Is that like something normal that people do?
- 20:40Speaker 2: I let you guys, I'll squared is back.
- 20:44Speaker 4: Please never call it a love bite again?
- 20:46Speaker 2: Why thank you, Sabrina do her tank will come back?
- 20:48Speaker 2: Kids them on air with Ryan Seacrest. There it is
- 20:58Speaker 2: where he is. My husband promised, and she's very punctual.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Right to your live, Oh, Olivia Rodrigo joinning. Is this
- 21:06Speaker 2: to be a way to see her again?
- 21:09Speaker 15: Thanks for having me.
- 21:10Speaker 2: And fresh off at Coachella cameo.
- 21:13Speaker 15: Yeah, it was so fun.
- 21:15Speaker 2: So Addison Ray on stage, you come out, what is
- 21:17Speaker 2: the moment like when you know what's about to happen
- 21:20Speaker 2: but nobody else knows what's about to happen in the
- 21:22Speaker 2: five four three two go moment?
- 21:24Speaker 15: Oh my gosh, I was really nervous. I was. I
- 21:26Speaker 15: was very honored to be on stage with her.
- 21:27Speaker 14: I think her show is so incredible and she puts
- 21:29Speaker 14: on such a wonderful performance. So yeah, I just I
- 21:32Speaker 14: just wanted to do her proud. And that was just
- 21:34Speaker 14: what was kind of going on in my head.
- 21:36Speaker 2: So what is it about Coachella that makes every artist
- 21:40Speaker 2: want to do something really special and an artist that
- 21:43Speaker 2: could be a headline or do something like what you did?
- 21:45Speaker 15: Yeah, I don't know. It's just really fun. It's like
- 21:48Speaker 15: in my backyard.
- 21:49Speaker 14: I'm born and raised in La and so it's like
- 21:51Speaker 14: all your friends are in the audience and you're like,
- 21:53Speaker 14: I just want to do something fun with my friends,
- 21:55Speaker 14: and people always bring their a game.
- 21:57Speaker 15: So yeah, it's a very fun, fun type of So.
- 22:01Speaker 2: When when you think about this album and we don't
- 22:04Speaker 2: know everything about it yet you seem pretty sad for
- 22:08Speaker 2: a girl so in love? Is this something like? What's
- 22:10Speaker 2: symbolic about that? What does that mean to you? Yeah?
- 22:13Speaker 14: I mean I started writing this album at a time
- 22:15Speaker 14: in my life where I was like experiencing real romantic
- 22:17Speaker 14: love for the first time, and so I was tasked
- 22:20Speaker 14: with writing an album full of love songs. And I
- 22:22Speaker 14: went back and I kind of listened to all of
- 22:23Speaker 14: my favorite love songs throughout history or throughout you know whatever,
- 22:27Speaker 14: my Spotify playlist that I love, and I realized that
- 22:31Speaker 14: the thing that I loved so much about them is
- 22:33Speaker 14: not that they were really happy, but they had sort
- 22:35Speaker 14: of an element of sadness or fear or melancholy or longing,
- 22:39Speaker 14: and that's what kind of made them tug at your
- 22:40Speaker 14: heart string so much, and that's what moved you so much.
- 22:42Speaker 14: And so that was kind of the thing that I
- 22:44Speaker 14: set out to do in this album is I wanted
- 22:46Speaker 14: to make a sad love song. So when I figured
- 22:48Speaker 14: out this title, I was like, it's perfect.
- 22:51Speaker 2: It's so interesting how we can yearn to feel that
- 22:54Speaker 2: emotion when we need to feel that emotion and really
- 22:57Speaker 2: like go deep into feeling sadness. When you listen to
- 22:59Speaker 2: the sad songs, I have them on my list. I
- 23:02Speaker 2: know when I'm going to go there, what I'm going
- 23:04Speaker 2: to feel. And when you when you conjure that emotion
- 23:07Speaker 2: for somebody else, what do you think about, Like, how
- 23:09Speaker 2: does that make you feel that you can get that
- 23:11Speaker 2: out of someone that you've never met before.
- 23:13Speaker 14: I mean, I think that's a great question. Well put,
- 23:15Speaker 14: I think that that's the dream. I mean, that's sort
- 23:18Speaker 14: of the primary goal in what I do. I just
- 23:20Speaker 14: always want to make people feel understood and hopefully like
- 23:24Speaker 14: provide some sort of catharsist or something. And all of
- 23:26Speaker 14: my favorite artists do that for me, and so I
- 23:28Speaker 14: guess that's the that's the guiding light through all of it.
- 23:30Speaker 2: So A Liverard Rico is here. What is something that
- 23:33Speaker 2: you think someone in their early twenties who falls in love.
- 23:38Speaker 2: What is a common mistake you see looking back of
- 23:41Speaker 2: someone that falls in love in their early twenties, for example, Gosh.
- 23:44Speaker 15: You really shouldn't ask me. I'm no expert.
- 23:50Speaker 14: I mean, I think that's this common thing when you're
- 23:52Speaker 14: like feeling really intensely for someone that you kind of
- 23:55Speaker 14: like get like, like you don't became on your friendships
- 23:58Speaker 14: as much, you don't focus on your work or whatever.
- 24:00Speaker 14: And I think that's a recipe for disaster. I mean
- 24:02Speaker 14: it's a very pretty easy one, but I think that's
- 24:05Speaker 14: really important. I see me and my friends sometimes fall
- 24:07Speaker 14: into that trap.
- 24:08Speaker 15: And it just never ends well.
- 24:09Speaker 2: So when you think, when you think about the music
- 24:12Speaker 2: that's coming out, what will you do when all of
- 24:16Speaker 2: these songs are released to the world at once, Where
- 24:19Speaker 2: will you be How will you see the feedback? How
- 24:21Speaker 2: will you look at the reaction? Because it's such a
- 24:24Speaker 2: von you know it, we don't know it. Everyone's anticipating it.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Is it sequential, what's the story, what's the theme? Where
- 24:30Speaker 2: does it go? What direction? So how will you handle
- 24:33Speaker 2: that moment?
- 24:35Speaker 15: Probably have a drink or something, I don't know. Yeah,
- 24:40Speaker 15: it's a really weird feeling.
- 24:41Speaker 14: I mean, I've lived with the songs for so long
- 24:44Speaker 14: and I have my own opinions about them, like you know,
- 24:46Speaker 14: in my own brain, but putting them out into the world,
- 24:48Speaker 14: and even putting out this song dropped dead out into
- 24:50Speaker 14: the world, and like seeing the way it reverberates with people,
- 24:52Speaker 14: it's a totally different feeling.
- 24:53Speaker 15: And I don't know, it's scary, but I'm so proud
- 24:56Speaker 15: of the album, and.
- 24:59Speaker 14: Uh, I love so many of the songs and I
- 25:01Speaker 14: feel really connected to it, So you know, I guess
- 25:03Speaker 14: it's all you can ask for at the end.
- 25:04Speaker 15: Of the day.
- 25:05Speaker 2: What about Okay, we don't know that where the album
- 25:07Speaker 2: is going to go, but are there more songs inspired
- 25:10Speaker 2: by vulnerability or the other side the healing aspect?
- 25:15Speaker 15: That's a good question.
- 25:16Speaker 14: I don't know.
- 25:17Speaker 15: I mean, the album's really there's a lot going on.
- 25:22Speaker 14: It's hard to like encapsulate it in like one word
- 25:25Speaker 14: or like one specific feeling.
- 25:26Speaker 15: It's very all over the place in a way that
- 25:29Speaker 15: I like, like a journey. Yeah, I guess. Yeah, there's
- 25:33Speaker 15: just so much to unpack in it. And I don't know.
- 25:36Speaker 15: I think it was about like discovery.
- 25:37Speaker 14: I guess for me, like like, uh, discovering so many
- 25:40Speaker 14: things about myself and also just being in a real relationship.
- 25:43Speaker 15: I think, like a good relationship.
- 25:44Speaker 14: Really holds a mirror to you and like shows you
- 25:46Speaker 14: parts of yourself that you never would have been able
- 25:49Speaker 14: to see before.
- 25:49Speaker 15: So yeah, there's a lot of a lot of looking
- 25:53Speaker 15: in word.
- 25:53Speaker 2: I guess that's important in your job. Yes, Yes, we're
- 25:58Speaker 2: going to say a break with Olivia Rodrigo come back
- 26:00Speaker 2: here one of two point seven kiss on Kiss. There
- 26:06Speaker 2: it is here she is on Kiss drop Dead. You
- 26:10Speaker 2: know what's so interesting about a song listening to that song,
- 26:13Speaker 2: the lyrics and the songs that we've played for over
- 26:17Speaker 2: the years, is when you can put into words succinctly
- 26:21Speaker 2: a feeling somebody's having, and especially with some clever stuff
- 26:25Speaker 2: like they're just like, haven't the cure reference right, Like
- 26:28Speaker 2: you know what you're trying to say, but you can
- 26:30Speaker 2: actually say it. Well, a lot we don't. We can't
- 26:32Speaker 2: say things like that, but we can think we feel it,
- 26:34Speaker 2: you can put it into words. It's a magic power
- 26:36Speaker 2: to that.
- 26:37Speaker 14: Oh thanks, Yeah, I mean it's from what I'm always
- 26:40Speaker 14: trying to do. I just just wrote the song about
- 26:42Speaker 14: like a really wonderful first date, and every time I
- 26:44Speaker 14: listen to it, I just like think back to that,
- 26:46Speaker 14: that wonderful feeling and yeah, it's a little bit a
- 26:48Speaker 14: time capsule.
- 26:48Speaker 15: It's great And.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Can can one I asked this to the group. Can
- 26:53Speaker 2: one maintain the level of excitement from the first date on?
- 26:56Speaker 2: I asked the group, I mean, goal.
- 27:01Speaker 5: I just love knowing that Olivia Rodrigo stock someone on
- 27:04Speaker 5: the internet before our first date.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Are you kidding?
- 27:07Speaker 14: Yeah?
- 27:07Speaker 5: I did that before every first date, and so I go, bag,
- 27:11Speaker 5: yeah you do.
- 27:12Speaker 2: So you think it's important to know as much as
- 27:14Speaker 2: you can.
- 27:16Speaker 15: I don't know.
- 27:16Speaker 14: I guess I gain, Yeah, you just you can find
- 27:19Speaker 14: a lot of stuff. Yes, I guess there's such a
- 27:21Speaker 14: thing as going too deep.
- 27:22Speaker 15: I've definitely like been saying you.
- 27:23Speaker 4: Could go too deep and then you can't go back
- 27:25Speaker 4: from that.
- 27:26Speaker 14: I've been on like dates with people They're like, oh,
- 27:28Speaker 14: and my mom did this, and I'm like, I totally
- 27:29Speaker 14: know exactly like what their mom does for We're like everything,
- 27:32Speaker 14: and I'm like trying to pretend like I'm surprised.
- 27:34Speaker 2: That's what I was going to ask you, Like, if
- 27:35Speaker 2: you know that you love horses and then you say
- 27:37Speaker 2: I love horses, do you pretend like, oh, I mean,
- 27:40Speaker 2: do you have to you have to act like you
- 27:42Speaker 2: don't know something that ye say I know?
- 27:47Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 27:48Speaker 14: I think my worst one is I like stock someone
- 27:49Speaker 14: on Spotify once and then like at the date, I
- 27:51Speaker 14: was like, oh my god, I love this song, like
- 27:53Speaker 14: have you ever heard of it?
- 27:57Speaker 2: That was not good, not genuine they say in life
- 28:03Speaker 2: for success, you must prepare and everything you do, and
- 28:07Speaker 2: that is total preparation for success on the date or
- 28:11Speaker 2: in the relationship power. It's the shame and all of that.
- 28:16Speaker 10: I agree.
- 28:17Speaker 2: It's kiss fmc christ with you, Olivia Rodrigou Here is
- 28:20Speaker 2: there anything that like, is there a track and you
- 28:22Speaker 2: able to tell us what it is? Maybe you can,
- 28:24Speaker 2: but is there a track that is on the album
- 28:26Speaker 2: that you thought it's too vulnerable to put on or
- 28:28Speaker 2: too close? It is like the combination to the whole lock,
- 28:32Speaker 2: and you've said, you know, I'm gonna do it anyway.
- 28:35Speaker 15: Yeah, there's a few songs. I mean, it's it's just
- 28:37Speaker 15: a weird feeling.
- 28:38Speaker 14: I mean, I got into songwriting just because I loved
- 28:41Speaker 14: the way it made me feel to express my emotions
- 28:43Speaker 14: and it felt like Catharsis and it felt like it
- 28:46Speaker 14: just helped me process stuff. But then it like it's
- 28:49Speaker 14: a different feeling putting it out and you're like, oh,
- 28:50Speaker 14: this stuff that you know I got to process on
- 28:52Speaker 14: my own at my piano, now it's suddenly everyone else is.
- 28:54Speaker 15: It's definitely a weird feeling. But I don't know.
- 28:57Speaker 14: I guess I'm I guess I'm getting used with older
- 28:58Speaker 14: than I get, and I think that it's important to
- 29:00Speaker 14: be vulnerable. I think I would hate to put out
- 29:03Speaker 14: a song that felt, you know, like I wasn't digging
- 29:05Speaker 14: that deep.
- 29:05Speaker 15: But I guess I don't know.
- 29:07Speaker 2: When you think about the fame, the success, you know,
- 29:11Speaker 2: you're well known, people love your music, they know who
- 29:14Speaker 2: you are, do you think about things you want to
- 29:17Speaker 2: make sure you keep unchanged no matter how that evolves
- 29:20Speaker 2: with you, because it's not normal. It's not easy for sure.
- 29:24Speaker 14: I mean, I think it gets harder to even make
- 29:25Speaker 14: music the more kind of well known you get, and
- 29:28Speaker 14: you kind of start to let people's opinions infiltrate and
- 29:31Speaker 14: your subconscious whether or not you're aware of it or not.
- 29:33Speaker 14: And so I think that's been something that I've been
- 29:34Speaker 14: really trying to protect, is like the sanctity of like,
- 29:38Speaker 14: you know, me just sitting in my room and writing
- 29:40Speaker 14: a song. You know, there's something really beautiful and magical
- 29:41Speaker 14: about that, and you know it's something to something to
- 29:45Speaker 14: protect the pure, like childlike love of music, you know.
- 29:49Speaker 2: So the new song is out now, the new album
- 29:51Speaker 2: You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl, So in Love
- 29:52Speaker 2: is out June twelfth. Very exciting. Thank you so much
- 29:56Speaker 2: for coming. It's great to see you and your kindness.
- 29:59Speaker 2: Just love it. We really appreciate it.
- 30:01Speaker 15: Oh thanks Ryan, Thanks you guys were so fun you
- 30:04Speaker 15: thanks for coming in.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Rena Carpenter and Tears love It a chat with Olivia Rodrigo.
- 30:10Speaker 2: She has that that thing right, she just got that
- 30:14Speaker 2: that that freshness and professionalism and amazing songwriting abilities and lyrics.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Are very excited for that album. It's coming out June twelfth,
- 30:22Speaker 2: Olivia Rodrigo. If you missed our chat with her talking
- 30:26Speaker 2: about life as her it's gonna be up on our
- 30:29Speaker 2: podcast later. Now, Dan, how are you in Torrance? And
- 30:32Speaker 2: how can I help?
- 30:34Speaker 8: Yeah? So I've been dating my girlfriend for a while
- 30:37Speaker 8: and then planning on proposing soon. So yeah, I tried
- 30:41Speaker 8: to do the respectful thing. I called her dad to
- 30:43Speaker 8: talk to him first.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Is that respectful? I though you're supposed to go see him.
- 30:48Speaker 8: Well, Ryan's right, it's disrespectful to call.
- 30:53Speaker 2: I don't not necessarily live.
- 30:57Speaker 8: Well, the thing is all right, So here's the thing.
- 30:59Speaker 8: He seemed okay with it. The only thing was his
- 31:02Speaker 8: reaction was not not what I expected.
- 31:04Speaker 2: What was his reaction?
- 31:07Speaker 8: Well, he literally said, I don't know why you'd want
- 31:09Speaker 8: to do that, good luck, and then hung up.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Like he's throwing his daughter under the bus. My dad
- 31:14Speaker 2: kind of did that too, really, he like she is
- 31:19Speaker 2: very tough. Are you sure trying to dissuade I think
- 31:24Speaker 2: he's trying to test him. Well, Dan, was Dad, Legit
- 31:27Speaker 2: was Dad trying to tell you.
- 31:30Speaker 8: I mean the thing was, there was no explanation, no joke.
- 31:33Speaker 8: It was just like, that was it. And so now
- 31:35Speaker 8: I'm freaking out of it.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Well I would be too. I know about your daughter
- 31:39Speaker 2: that I may have to handle for the rest of
- 31:42Speaker 2: my life.
- 31:42Speaker 4: Go see him.
- 31:44Speaker 2: Where is he? Is he in long distance?
- 31:48Speaker 8: Yeah, that's what I called should have happen on a plane?
- 31:52Speaker 2: Well where does he live here? Locally?
- 31:54Speaker 4: Where does he live?
- 31:56Speaker 8: No, he's he's actually in Ohio.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Yeah. I checked flights, bro it's probably connecting one. But
- 32:03Speaker 2: I was really think you, the thing is, this is
- 32:06Speaker 2: a big decision. This is for the rest of your life.
- 32:08Speaker 2: It might be worth the airfare to go see him
- 32:10Speaker 2: in person. I think Dad is supposed to be giving
- 32:14Speaker 2: you the lecture of how to take care of his
- 32:16Speaker 2: amazing and be there and you know, and listen and
- 32:23Speaker 2: love and thick and thin, you know, all the good
- 32:26Speaker 2: and the battle that stuff. That's the speech. Not like
- 32:29Speaker 2: I don't know, Brod, I don't think you should get
- 32:31Speaker 2: into this for the rest of your life.
- 32:33Speaker 15: It's weird.
- 32:34Speaker 2: You don't want that, that's weird.
- 32:37Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 32:37Speaker 8: Well, before I hap on a plane, I was like,
- 32:40Speaker 8: do I tell my girlfriend? What do I? No?
- 32:43Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, Hey, I just checked. United's got
- 32:46Speaker 2: a direct to Cleveland, so let's go get it done.
- 32:49Speaker 2: And yeah, you don't want to make a mistake and
- 32:52Speaker 2: you want his blessing. Good luck Dan, keep us posting
- 32:56Speaker 2: on that. Hmm. I don't know why. It's gotta be
- 33:01Speaker 2: in jest like your dad was kidding Michael.
- 33:03Speaker 4: Yes, but I also think he was like testing them.
- 33:06Speaker 2: I don't like that either. Top Quizzes on air with
- 33:11Speaker 2: Ryan Seest It's Kiss FM. Good morning. Make sure you
- 33:17Speaker 2: follow us on social. That's the work of Ronnie Henry
- 33:20Speaker 2: right here in our digital department, all that kiss stuff
- 33:22Speaker 2: you see on social. Back from Coachella, Ronnie made some
- 33:26Speaker 2: predictions for weekend one. So Ronnie, before we get into
- 33:29Speaker 2: the predictions that didn't happen Weekend one that kind of
- 33:31Speaker 2: did Weekend two, after I gave you a hard time
- 33:33Speaker 2: for not getting it right weekend one. It seems Weekend
- 33:37Speaker 2: two was what people thought was the better weekend of
- 33:40Speaker 2: the two. Is that right?
- 33:41Speaker 7: I one hundred percent agree. Like this year, Weekend two
- 33:44Speaker 7: was so so good. That was because the cameos, Yes,
- 33:47Speaker 7: I think so, because there was just so many special
- 33:49Speaker 7: guests came out this weekend that obviously didn't come out
- 33:52Speaker 7: Weekend one. And I just feel like every artist really
- 33:55Speaker 7: gave their all because it's like, you know, we have
- 33:57Speaker 7: to leave it all on the floor.
- 33:58Speaker 2: That's the final, final week and already, in the wake
- 34:02Speaker 2: of all the excitement and the videos and everything, tickets
- 34:05Speaker 2: for twenty seven twenty twenty seven Coach Hella go on
- 34:07Speaker 2: sale a week from Friday, so you can start yt.
- 34:10Speaker 4: The email yesterday.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Well, we can one a weekend too. I mean, if
- 34:13Speaker 2: you're gonna roll the dice after this year, it's a
- 34:16Speaker 2: weekend too. But I think that comes down to artists scheduling.
- 34:19Speaker 2: I think so too.
- 34:19Speaker 7: And also I feel like people are gonna gamble next
- 34:22Speaker 7: year and do Weekend two when really I feel like
- 34:24Speaker 7: Weekend one is gonna.
- 34:25Speaker 5: Go back to It was a fresh weekend one, like
- 34:28Speaker 5: you get to see everything for the first time. Wee
- 34:30Speaker 5: can two. You've seen all on social.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Media kind of what's gonna happen.
- 34:33Speaker 7: Yeah, So I also feel like people, you know a
- 34:36Speaker 7: lot of like influencers and all the like everyone who's
- 34:39Speaker 7: everyone is their weekend ones. So that's why I feel
- 34:41Speaker 7: like wee can two. What's better because it was like, okay, boom,
- 34:44Speaker 7: you know, we can we can just have like, you know,
- 34:48Speaker 7: people that actually enjoy music can be there and see
- 34:51Speaker 7: these not.
- 34:51Speaker 4: Like a ton of people trying to take their selfies
- 34:53Speaker 4: in front of all the.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Yes, that's one of the predictions you did make, Ronnie
- 34:57Speaker 2: was the spirind of Carpenter is gonna arrest? Olivia red
- 35:00Speaker 2: during Juneo and Sabrina Carpenter brought out Madonna and Olivia
- 35:04Speaker 2: Rodrigo came out during Addison Race set. She was just here.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Olivia was just here talking about that moment. So you
- 35:09Speaker 2: were on the right path. I was.
- 35:11Speaker 7: I literally pretty much everything I predicted came true. But
- 35:15Speaker 7: for the next week it was just like so crazy
- 35:18Speaker 7: that that happened. But I feel like I just knew
- 35:20Speaker 7: it in my brain that this was going to happen.
- 35:22Speaker 2: And then it did. Did Harry Styles perform a DJ set?
- 35:26Speaker 7: You know he didn't predict that, right, Yeah, I did
- 35:31Speaker 7: predict that, But also like Billy coming up with Justin Bieber,
- 35:33Speaker 7: I did predict that too.
- 35:35Speaker 5: However, you said they were going to perform bad Guy
- 35:37Speaker 5: and she was the one least love girl.
- 35:40Speaker 7: I literally was crying for her because I'm like you,
- 35:42Speaker 7: I know, but to be honest, I don't even think
- 35:44Speaker 7: she would have been able to perform with him, like
- 35:46Speaker 7: just seeing her reaction being dragged on the stage, like
- 35:49Speaker 7: she couldn't even.
- 35:50Speaker 4: Such a fangirl.
- 35:51Speaker 7: Yeah, so I thought they would perform together, but I
- 35:54Speaker 7: just think she would be too nervous.
- 35:55Speaker 2: And so the thing is this creates so much intrigue
- 35:58Speaker 2: for who will come out when anybody's on stage, and
- 36:01Speaker 2: you see these huge artists come out for those short cameos,
- 36:05Speaker 2: which is the best part.
- 36:07Speaker 7: Yeah, and I like even being in the crowd when
- 36:11Speaker 7: the surprise comes, like even Zara Larson came out with
- 36:13Speaker 7: pink panthers, like people lose their minds and like almost
- 36:17Speaker 7: gives you such like a fresh boost of energy because
- 36:19Speaker 7: it's just a huge deal to see. I thought these
- 36:22Speaker 7: artists in one Weekend.
- 36:23Speaker 6: I thought it was interesting that she came out with
- 36:24Speaker 6: Pink Panthers and didn't do State Side together, and she
- 36:27Speaker 6: did a whole midnight side.
- 36:29Speaker 2: Why not? Why didn't they do states So they started off.
- 36:31Speaker 4: With state Side, and so everyone's thinking.
- 36:33Speaker 7: Yeah, so she opens her set with Stateside and I
- 36:37Speaker 7: also predicted that that she would come out for Stateside,
- 36:40Speaker 7: but she didn't, and I well, maybe she was late.
- 36:48Speaker 7: In the context of her show, she like does a
- 36:50Speaker 7: little DJ set in the middle of her set, so
- 36:53Speaker 7: that's why Zara came during that time. But Zara also
- 36:56Speaker 7: said that Pink Panthers is on her midnight sun got it?
- 37:01Speaker 14: I think?
- 37:02Speaker 2: I mean, really, you were onto is just Weekend two
- 37:05Speaker 2: and Weekend to was the one that everybody loved more
- 37:07Speaker 2: than we can want to Coachella. What's going to happen
- 37:08Speaker 2: next year? Who knows? Running Henry from our digital department
- 37:11Speaker 2: here Kiss FM. That's when at two point seven Kiss FM,
- 37:15Speaker 2: good morning somber tickets that's only way and a bunch
- 37:17Speaker 2: of Kiss music. So would you pay extra for a
- 37:20Speaker 2: flight with no screaming kids on it? That is the question.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Tony's got a trending report go.
- 37:27Speaker 5: Ahead, So this all came from Dan Levy. He is
- 37:30Speaker 5: the son of Eugene Levy. He's from the show Big
- 37:32Speaker 5: Mistakes on Netflix. I am obsessed with him.
- 37:36Speaker 15: Okay.
- 37:36Speaker 5: So he was doing a TikTok interview series are You
- 37:38Speaker 5: Okay and was asked to name a hill that he
- 37:41Speaker 5: would be willing to die on, and without skipping a beat,
- 37:44Speaker 5: he said, I firmly believe there should be one airline
- 37:47Speaker 5: flight with no babies, essentially a long haul flight no offence.
- 37:51Speaker 15: To the babies.
- 37:52Speaker 5: This video has already racked up over a million views,
- 37:55Speaker 5: and actually a lot of parents are agreeing with him,
- 37:57Speaker 5: and they they're saying, I wish there was one flight
- 38:00Speaker 5: dedicated to just people with young children. It'd be so
- 38:03Speaker 5: nice to travel with people who are feeling the same
- 38:05Speaker 5: anxiety and the same problems and not feel judged for it.
- 38:09Speaker 5: So people are kind of like jumping in on his
- 38:11Speaker 5: suggestion and saying like, I would like to fly on
- 38:14Speaker 5: a flight without screaming babies, And then as a parent
- 38:16Speaker 5: of screaming babies, I'd like a full flight with all
- 38:20Speaker 5: scream babies.
- 38:21Speaker 2: Ye see, I would think the opposite. As a parent
- 38:23Speaker 2: of screaming babies, I'd like to leave my babies at
- 38:26Speaker 2: home and be on a flight without screaming babies, just
- 38:28Speaker 2: a peaceful flight.
- 38:29Speaker 5: But they're saying they feel like anxiety when their babies
- 38:31Speaker 5: are screaming and people are looking at them and judging.
- 38:34Speaker 2: They just want everybody to be screaming. I don't think
- 38:36Speaker 2: they want that.
- 38:36Speaker 5: No, I'm telling you what the people are saying.
- 38:41Speaker 2: But there would be, there could be. I mean they
- 38:43Speaker 2: do adult pools at some places. You have the adult flight.
- 38:47Speaker 2: It is one flight late at night.
- 38:49Speaker 5: Yes, I think it's a genius idea. And I think
- 38:52Speaker 5: a lot of people would would fly on this airline.
- 38:55Speaker 2: And make it. Put disco balls hanging in the you know,
- 38:58Speaker 2: the fuselage there and a little cool lighting and make
- 39:01Speaker 2: it a thing, make it fine. Yeah, somebody's got to
- 39:06Speaker 2: jump on that and market and see what happens.
- 39:07Speaker 5: Honestly, it's a genius idea.
- 39:10Speaker 2: Just FM and that is going to do it for us.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Thank you for being here. We'll be back tomorrow morning.
- 39:16Speaker 2: First thing with one other thing that we've got to
- 39:19Speaker 2: do better. We got to do today. It was about
- 39:21Speaker 2: creating something memorable, some moment that you'll look back on.
- 39:25Speaker 2: You have to create it today. But at least before
- 39:27Speaker 2: the week's end ours together was having Olivia Rodrigo and
- 39:29Speaker 2: talking about the music we don't even know about yet.
- 39:31Speaker 2: Oh yeah, something will remember every time she puts out
- 39:33Speaker 2: an Now, we'll think about that. It's up on our
- 39:35Speaker 2: podcast later if you want to check that out tomorrow morning,
- 39:38Speaker 2: we're back at it first thing in the morning. And
- 39:41Speaker 2: if you're planning a summer vacation the day to fly on,
- 39:44Speaker 2: I got data on the specific day that's going to
- 39:47Speaker 2: save you twenty percent on your flight. I'll talk about
- 39:49Speaker 2: that before seven if you're up early. All right, to
- 39:52Speaker 2: Antanya in the back room, thank you so much. I
- 39:54Speaker 2: have a great afternoon. Ye see in the morning's kiss.
- 39:58Speaker 2: Thanks for listening so on Air with Ryan Seacrest. Make
- 40:01Speaker 2: sure to subscribe and we'll talk to you again tomorrow
