- 0:00Speaker 1: Coach, the energy out there felt different. What changed for
- 0:03Speaker 1: the team today?
- 0:03Speaker 2: It was the new game day scratches from the California
- 0:06Speaker 2: Lottery player is everything.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Those games sent the team's energy through the roof.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Are you saying it was the off field play that
- 0:11Speaker 1: made the difference on the field.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Hey, little play makes your day, and today it made
- 0:15Speaker 3: the game.
- 0:16Speaker 1: That's all for now, Coach, one more question play than
- 0:19Speaker 1: new Los Angeles Chargers, San Francisco forty nine Ers and
- 0:22Speaker 1: Los Angeles ram scratchers from the California Lottery. A little
- 0:25Speaker 1: play can make your day. Peace made responsibily. Must be

- 1:05Speaker 2: Like we always say, man, we came with no expectations,

- 1:10Speaker 2: our community.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Oh my god, I said, over valuing all these great things.
- 1:17Speaker 5: And like these are results of it.

- 3:24Speaker 8: My graduates from my school being false back drop bag drop,
- 3:30Speaker 8: Mike drop back drop drop.
- 3:43Speaker 3: All right, guys, welcome back EYL. We are finishing out
- 3:47Speaker 3: our legendary run in LA And this is something that
- 3:50Speaker 3: just came about spontaneous, but I'm sure it's going to
- 3:54Speaker 3: be a classic memorable episode. So if you know ern Alisha,
- 3:59Speaker 3: you know that we are huge, huge sports fans. Me
- 4:02Speaker 3: I used to play basketball, but I didn't go as
- 4:05Speaker 3: far as our steam guest today. Who's the NBA legend
- 4:08Speaker 3: John Sally. But even more impressive is what he's done
- 4:11Speaker 3: off the court. He's an entrepreneur, a true renaissance man.
- 4:15Speaker 3: So yeah, we just got finished talking about watches. He
- 4:17Speaker 3: gave us a whole watch education time pieces.
- 4:22Speaker 2: He also gave us an in depth conversation in the
- 4:25Speaker 2: history of photography and cameras.
- 4:32Speaker 3: So yeah, he's a restaurant tour which is ironic. My
- 4:34Speaker 3: sister shouted to hero. She actually hit me, I told
- 4:36Speaker 3: you three weeks ago, like we got to go to
- 4:38Speaker 3: this place, and so that's ironic. A vegan restaurant in
- 4:41Speaker 3: San Bernardino, California. We'll talk about that. He's a marijuana enthusiast,
- 4:47Speaker 3: but even bigger than that, he's a marijuana entrepreneur, which
- 4:50Speaker 3: is extremely important to Al Harrington. There's a few guys
- 4:55Speaker 3: that have transitioned from sports to the cannabis industry. Yeah,
- 4:59Speaker 3: and and it's growing. So that's dope to see an investor.
- 5:05Speaker 3: He's in media. Am I forgetting anything?
- 5:10Speaker 5: Four time champion? Well yeah, O NBA stuff, you've got
- 5:14Speaker 5: all that.
- 5:14Speaker 3: I said, NBA legend.
- 5:15Speaker 2: He just said you never made it that for I say,
- 5:17Speaker 2: he's an NBA legend.
- 5:18Speaker 9: That's why he didn't want to get it. You gotta understand,
- 5:22Speaker 9: I was sitting around gold.
- 5:26Speaker 2: How many there's only a few players that have won
- 5:28Speaker 2: championships with three franchises. Yeah yeah, one of them Robert
- 5:31Speaker 2: Lorrie Lebron like six people.
- 5:35Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:38Speaker 9: You know what's a trip is is that life was
- 5:43Speaker 9: twenty years ago, twenty one years now and uh and
- 5:47Speaker 9: you you running. I literally can't believe I did it.
- 5:50Speaker 9: I know it sounds crazy, and I have smoked a
- 5:52Speaker 9: lot of cannabis, but I didn't smoke until my last
- 5:56Speaker 9: month as a Laker, and I was thirty six years old,
- 5:59Speaker 9: and then I haven't missed the day. I was like, WHOA, whatever,
- 6:07Speaker 9: I really feel. If I would have smoked weed from
- 6:11Speaker 9: the eighties, I could have played until I was fifty.
- 6:14Speaker 9: I could have played until I was like ten more
- 6:16Speaker 9: years in my forties because I'm a big man and
- 6:18Speaker 9: I take care of my body with plant based eating
- 6:21Speaker 9: and making sure all the nutrients. But I didn't like
- 6:24Speaker 9: it anymore. I got to a point where it became
- 6:29Speaker 9: it wasn't fun. And the reason it wasn't fun is
- 6:33Speaker 9: because there was so much pressure on winning. I think
- 6:35Speaker 9: that's why I said, why Durant's legs go and why
- 6:38Speaker 9: guys get hurt? Why Clay? I mean, it's so much
- 6:41Speaker 9: more mental stress on you. That's why you get a
- 6:44Speaker 9: stress fraction inside. It's just it's a crazy, crazy thought
- 6:48Speaker 9: that your body goes through that because you put it
- 6:50Speaker 9: under so much stress.
- 6:51Speaker 2: And so the marijuana would have eased the stress.
- 6:53Speaker 9: Yeah, because my stress level, man, I was very intense.
- 6:58Speaker 9: I was You would not know it because I'm a
- 7:00Speaker 9: smile and giggle, but I'm really growling and trying to
- 7:04Speaker 9: kill you, and not physically like I was going to
- 7:08Speaker 9: play physical, but I'm thin. I was just going to
- 7:10Speaker 9: beat you the spots and be quicker and nag the
- 7:14Speaker 9: hell out of you. Shock used to say, you could
- 7:17Speaker 9: show me all those tricks, and you know these pinching tricks.
- 7:19Speaker 5: It was all like marshal Art stuff.
- 7:22Speaker 9: I'm close, so I would pinch and grab and kick
- 7:26Speaker 9: your leg further and pull your jersey and talk about
- 7:29Speaker 9: your girl wearing white jeans.
- 7:32Speaker 5: One time I was leading down. I'm serious as a
- 7:36Speaker 5: ball but this girl walked down. Was like, damn, you
- 7:37Speaker 5: know who's that?
- 7:38Speaker 9: That's such and such a wife. I ain't gonna say
- 7:40Speaker 9: his name. I was like esus blinging. He was like, yeah,
- 7:45Speaker 9: she come to the game with him.
- 7:46Speaker 5: Now. I was like, oh okay.
- 7:50Speaker 9: I was sitting down about what you call and I
- 7:53Speaker 9: was like, man, you see that girl up there on
- 7:54Speaker 9: the white jean. I sent my number up there with
- 7:57Speaker 9: a ball boy. I can't wait till this game's over.
- 8:00Speaker 9: This dude stands up, looks at me. I swear it
- 8:02Speaker 9: was the worst game you ever had. He ran trying
- 8:05Speaker 9: to hit me the whole time. Every time he did something,
- 8:07Speaker 9: he was in my face. I know he was trying
- 8:09Speaker 9: to show off. And then by the third quarter said,
- 8:11Speaker 9: what's your problem? Man, you're talking about my wife. I said,
- 8:14Speaker 9: I know, I'm talking about your wife. You think I'm
- 8:15Speaker 9: here to play you, I'm here. I'm here to get
- 8:18Speaker 9: in your head. He was like, oh damn. So I
- 8:22Speaker 9: was like, yeah, I don't, Yeah, I got My wife
- 8:24Speaker 9: is the badest girl in the stands.
- 8:27Speaker 5: Behind the glass.
- 8:28Speaker 3: So I'm going to talk about the entrepreneurship. But before that,
- 8:30Speaker 3: let's get into this NBA conversation. How has the game
- 8:34Speaker 3: changed the eighty Everybody always talks about nostalgic people from
- 8:37Speaker 3: that era, like the game is so soft these days,
- 8:41Speaker 3: and and you know it would have been tremendously harder
- 8:45Speaker 3: for the guys to this era of I don't fully understand.
- 8:48Speaker 3: I don't fully believe that, but I want to get
- 8:50Speaker 3: it from your perspective. Because you played in that era,
- 8:53Speaker 3: how is that different from now?
- 8:54Speaker 9: The difference then is there was more men playing the game.
- 9:00Speaker 9: There's a lot of a lot of young boys playing now.
- 9:03Speaker 9: When I came in the league, I had to go
- 9:05Speaker 9: against Maurice Lucas who tried to break my wrists. I
- 9:10Speaker 9: mean literally try to hold it and then like break it.
- 9:13Speaker 9: And I was like, you know, you try to break
- 9:14Speaker 9: my wrists. He was like, don't touch me. Like how
- 9:21Speaker 9: do you not touch them?
- 9:22Speaker 5: Right?
- 9:23Speaker 9: And they were grown men, Moses Malone, doctor j These
- 9:29Speaker 9: dudes were men, and so there was a lot of
- 9:32Speaker 9: you know, bang and hold and men. The big guys
- 9:34Speaker 9: didn't move as much and the lane was left to them.
- 9:37Speaker 9: It was an understanding. The hand chuck changed the game.
- 9:42Speaker 9: Michael Jordan's hands are that much bigger than mine, and
- 9:44Speaker 9: he would grab you by the waist, push you out
- 9:47Speaker 9: of way and shoot a win and shot. No, he
- 9:50Speaker 9: grab you by the waist and push you this way,
- 9:52Speaker 9: and you can't do that.
- 9:55Speaker 5: Now you can't touch anybody.
- 9:56Speaker 9: The NBA realized that what made it excited in China
- 10:01Speaker 9: because the game is designed for China. What I mean
- 10:04Speaker 9: by that is no yelling at the ref, no throwing
- 10:08Speaker 9: intention changions and being passionate. Before you do that, the
- 10:11Speaker 9: ref look at you and say just shut up. Now
- 10:13Speaker 9: that's a tech. I'm gonna throw you out the game
- 10:16Speaker 9: because no insubordination. And each player is now equal to
- 10:22Speaker 9: a fortune five hundred. When I came into the NBA,
- 10:25Speaker 9: I had the third fourth highest pay on the team
- 10:29Speaker 9: at two hundred and thirty thousand a year.
- 10:31Speaker 5: Was that nineteen eighty six?
- 10:33Speaker 9: And I did the black Man wish and went straight
- 10:38Speaker 9: to the bmw DA. I got my contract. You got
- 10:43Speaker 9: a contract. I didn't know what that meant. I was
- 10:45Speaker 9: waiting there as they opened up. Yo, yo, give me
- 10:47Speaker 9: that L seven pull. Let you know the dumb thing.
- 10:51Speaker 9: And I also think that player is now all the
- 10:56Speaker 9: matrix of the game. The analytics of the game are
- 10:59Speaker 9: so on point point everybody shooting the long ball. Uh,
- 11:04Speaker 9: they want to see scoring. The way we played was bang,
- 11:07Speaker 9: bang bang, whoever came out alive.
- 11:10Speaker 5: That was the thing.
- 11:12Speaker 9: It's not like that anymore. It's and and most of
- 11:16Speaker 9: the rules put in were put in because of us.
- 11:18Speaker 9: So no breakaway files member Dennis Rodman, push Scottie US
- 11:22Speaker 9: bad boy Pistons. Yeah yeah, they they made it. They
- 11:26Speaker 9: put it on us. But it was so funny. If
- 11:28Speaker 9: you talk to everybody else, the bad Boys were a Celtic.
- 11:31Speaker 9: The Celtics first dirty, they were, they were, they were
- 11:34Speaker 9: ridiculously dirty.
- 11:35Speaker 2: And this was like I felt like Michael Arrow, the
- 11:38Speaker 2: things he was doing, it was just a retaliation, like
- 11:40Speaker 2: we have to beat them, so we have to do
- 11:42Speaker 2: a little bit more.
- 11:43Speaker 5: Yeah, you have to.
- 11:45Speaker 9: And and you had guys that would come off the
- 11:46Speaker 9: bench that will destroy you, and you look like they
- 11:51Speaker 9: were in.
- 11:51Speaker 3: The stands five minutes ago. You said something that was interesting.
- 11:54Speaker 3: You said a few things. China said, it's made for China.
- 11:57Speaker 3: What do you mean by that?
- 11:58Speaker 9: So our biggest, the NBA's biggest market is China. And
- 12:02Speaker 9: the reason I say that is there's one point three
- 12:05Speaker 9: million people billion. There's three hundred and seventy nine million
- 12:09Speaker 9: in America. When Houston played, three hundred million people watched.
- 12:14Speaker 9: So all of America watched one game for Yaming. And
- 12:20Speaker 9: I remember when we when I think it was somebody lost,
- 12:29Speaker 9: we lost. We beat this game. Second Championship nineteen ninety.
- 12:34Speaker 9: As opposed to David Stern handed as the rings that
- 12:36Speaker 9: he's supposed to the assistant GM came because he was
- 12:40Speaker 9: with Utah and another team in China. It was more
- 12:43Speaker 9: important to put on that show and we had to
- 12:46Speaker 9: change the way things are going. You see, Lebron had
- 12:49Speaker 9: been to China what nine times now when I was
- 12:52Speaker 9: in Beijing two years ago, there's an NBA court and
- 12:56Speaker 9: only black people you see there in those pitches on
- 12:59Speaker 9: the court. So they focused on pushing the game. That
- 13:03Speaker 9: part of international We already did Europe. The European influx
- 13:07Speaker 9: came in. It started coming in in the early ninety
- 13:11Speaker 9: early eighties and then got huge in the nineties. In
- 13:13Speaker 9: the two thousands, so and then it was the African influx.
- 13:17Speaker 9: There was a Keem elijahwon, there was Minute Bowl, and
- 13:21Speaker 9: then the Ken Bait. Then it all switched. Now it's
- 13:26Speaker 9: it became an international game. So I would but it's
- 13:30Speaker 9: mostly focused on selling our product, the product in China.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I think the Dream Team was super inspirational in that,
- 13:38Speaker 2: especially like from the European countries. To impact that that
- 13:41Speaker 2: team had going to Barcelona. Yeah, the fandom that that created.
- 13:46Speaker 2: You get stars like Dirk and then Dirk needs to
- 13:48Speaker 2: get in Luca so I wonder because unbelievable, he's different.
- 13:52Speaker 2: I feel like that. From the Chinese standpoint, Yeah, we
- 13:55Speaker 2: had Yaoming. I guess you can say Jeremy Lynn had
- 13:57Speaker 2: a moment, but there hasn't been that next star.
- 14:01Speaker 9: Yeah, they're in China and it's just like just like
- 14:05Speaker 9: they did in Japan with baseball. Some of the best
- 14:08Speaker 9: baseball players in the world in Japan when America opened
- 14:12Speaker 9: up to Japanese baseball. I'm going to say, when I
- 14:19Speaker 9: just saw that Space Jam was coming out again with Lebron,
- 14:22Speaker 9: I said it before. The reason it was so big
- 14:26Speaker 9: that Michael Jordan was Space Jam is Warner Brothers wanted
- 14:29Speaker 9: to get into China. They wanted to get in with
- 14:31Speaker 9: Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny. They wanted to take their
- 14:35Speaker 9: images because they don't need our comic images they have
- 14:39Speaker 9: in the Asian world. They have all these other cartoons,
- 14:42Speaker 9: and they wanted to get into China and sell their stuff.
- 14:44Speaker 9: And Michael Jordan was the biggest thing in China. So
- 14:47Speaker 9: now the biggest thing in China is Lebron and Warner
- 14:49Speaker 9: Brothers is back selling their product again to the new
- 14:53Speaker 9: wave of kids trying to understand Space Jam.
- 14:57Speaker 3: So you also said something I was interesting, You say,
- 14:59Speaker 3: players now is like one hundred companies. Like the amount
- 15:02Speaker 3: of money that's being made now, do you think that
- 15:04Speaker 3: that has compromised the because like when you guys played
- 15:09Speaker 3: like you said, you was making money relative to the times,
- 15:12Speaker 3: the money that's made now is amazing. Yeah, So as
- 15:16Speaker 3: far as the business side of that, how do you
- 15:19Speaker 3: think that that has changed the like competitive landscape or
- 15:23Speaker 3: just change the game period.
- 15:24Speaker 9: Well, it changed the game period because you're you're not
- 15:28Speaker 9: You're not foiling anybody you used to be. If a
- 15:30Speaker 9: guy comes in the lane, he's going to get up,
- 15:32Speaker 9: he pumps, fakes you, you just come down on him.
- 15:35Speaker 9: You know you foul him, but make him earn it
- 15:37Speaker 9: on the file line. That's what that's not happening that anymore.
- 15:41Speaker 9: You cannot hurt any of nothing, even close in the
- 15:46Speaker 9: way where they might be out because that is moving money.
- 15:50Speaker 9: Not saying you're supposed to. But you used to be
- 15:53Speaker 9: able to check a guy coming through the lane. Small
- 15:55Speaker 9: guy come into the lane, should be able to bump him,
- 15:57Speaker 9: slow them down. Now you can't do any of those
- 16:01Speaker 9: kind of things. I'm not saying it's a bad thing.
- 16:04Speaker 9: I think it's a good thing. But they are fortune
- 16:06Speaker 9: five hundred companies and they should literally treat it as such.
- 16:11Speaker 9: But they don't know that because It's still a great
- 16:14Speaker 9: thing to sit there in the draft and have your
- 16:16Speaker 9: people grab you and hug you. They're still wearing gold
- 16:20Speaker 9: chains outside on suits.
- 16:23Speaker 5: I did that. Oh never, No, I I was a tight.
- 16:28Speaker 5: I was a tight, double breasting down from Yeah. I
- 16:31Speaker 5: wasn't having it, no.
- 16:33Speaker 3: From New York.
- 16:34Speaker 9: But you run into these cats and I would want
- 16:37Speaker 9: to tell them I was working with this great agent. Yeah,
- 16:41Speaker 9: seventeen players, and I was like, let me put your
- 16:45Speaker 9: players through through life. When you get them, meaning that's
- 16:48Speaker 9: whiteboard everything they want. You want a Lambeau truck, you
- 16:52Speaker 9: wanna you wanna, You want to bend that that that
- 16:55Speaker 9: moves up and down. You want a Rolex, you want
- 16:59Speaker 9: a Patta Philippe, you want a Richard Milly. And then
- 17:03Speaker 9: I show them all that I said, So you want
- 17:06Speaker 9: to be a rapper. So your mind is that you
- 17:10Speaker 9: made it. And I remember one time I was coming
- 17:12Speaker 9: back to do John Sally Day and my project in Bayview.
- 17:16Speaker 9: My brother set it up of doing like this little
- 17:18Speaker 9: block party, playing against Brookline Project and against us, and
- 17:23Speaker 9: so you know they're gonna come.
- 17:24Speaker 5: Everything is gonna be cool.
- 17:26Speaker 9: And I was in a limousine and I made the
- 17:29Speaker 9: limousines go way past my park. When no one saw me,
- 17:32Speaker 9: I got out and I told them where to meet me.
- 17:34Speaker 9: And I walked into the park from the backway and
- 17:36Speaker 9: everybody was.
- 17:37Speaker 5: Like, we wait for you here, where's your car? I
- 17:40Speaker 5: was like, I took the bus.
- 17:43Speaker 9: I just realized if I was gonna have any normalcy
- 17:47Speaker 9: that day, I couldn't pull up different than I did
- 17:50Speaker 9: when I was younger. And I tell cats all the time,
- 17:53Speaker 9: like my wife and daughters, I had twenty eight is
- 17:57Speaker 9: a malleable for forty thousand dollars And I ain't by.
- 18:00Speaker 5: Just talk about that.
- 18:01Speaker 3: You say you have forty acres in malleable for forty dollars.
- 18:05Speaker 3: What year is this?
- 18:06Speaker 5: Nineteen eighty seven?
- 18:07Speaker 3: By the water.
- 18:08Speaker 5: No, you can see the water, which is better. It's
- 18:12Speaker 5: this is some look y'all.
- 18:14Speaker 9: I'm just telling you because I experienced it. It's it's
- 18:18Speaker 9: not really good to be right on the water because
- 18:21Speaker 9: you don't hear anything. It's it's a great sleep, but
- 18:26Speaker 9: your house is going to corrode from all kinds of things.
- 18:29Speaker 5: It's a ton of things.
- 18:30Speaker 9: And in the winter time, and I tell people, the
- 18:33Speaker 9: beach is not hot, is not good in the wintertime,
- 18:36Speaker 9: and then and you're gonna have this gloom. You're never
- 18:38Speaker 9: gonna see the sun till two o'clock. It's depressing place
- 18:42Speaker 9: to be when you're right up on the water. When
- 18:44Speaker 9: you're away from the water looking down, you can see lights,
- 18:47Speaker 9: you can see the coast, you can see the water,
- 18:50Speaker 9: you can see landscape, but you still get the irons
- 18:53Speaker 9: from the ocean. Mean that that good ocean breeze. That's
- 18:57Speaker 9: a better way to be. I know that sounds like
- 18:58Speaker 9: some rich shit, but I I wasn't trying to. I
- 19:01Speaker 9: just lived it and moved in a position to understand it.
- 19:07Speaker 9: And I didn't buy it because it just seemed like
- 19:09Speaker 9: God was trying to get over and I think and
- 19:11Speaker 9: I was going to live in Atlanta because there's more
- 19:13Speaker 9: women and stuff like that. I wasn't you know what
- 19:15Speaker 9: I'm saying that I wasn't advised properly on that, and
- 19:19Speaker 9: then I lost a lot of money. I lost, you know,
- 19:22Speaker 9: people taking it, people not being cool about it, bad deals,
- 19:26Speaker 9: as we say in tax world, bad depths and allowances.
- 19:30Speaker 5: At least that's what I filed.
- 19:36Speaker 9: And but you know, you you lit the best thing
- 19:39Speaker 9: about life is these experiences, these experiences literally shopping you.
- 19:43Speaker 3: So that's crazy. So at what point do you learn
- 19:48Speaker 3: so you haven't the things that all athletes go through
- 19:50Speaker 3: as far as you know, not all athletes, but a
- 19:52Speaker 3: lot of athletes unfortunately, where you know mismanagement. I'm assuming
- 19:55Speaker 3: like your managers or whatever account financial about you.
- 19:58Speaker 9: So people are not financial advisors and that was the
- 20:01Speaker 9: funniest thing when they are. If this is the difference,
- 20:05Speaker 9: I remember I asked Isaiah, I said, well.
- 20:10Speaker 5: What do you do with your money?
- 20:11Speaker 9: Said, I give my money to the same place the
- 20:12Speaker 9: doctors and the lawyers give their money to. And but
- 20:16Speaker 9: the difference is our job life is less than the
- 20:19Speaker 9: doctors and a lawyers. Like I wondered why one of
- 20:22Speaker 9: my favorite my lawyer now my main lawyer. Well, my
- 20:26Speaker 9: day to day is Bradley doc and was up Bradley
- 20:30Speaker 9: and his father was a top obg y N when
- 20:34Speaker 9: I was and I saw him in a Rose Royce
- 20:36Speaker 9: and I was like, man, I've always wanted one of these.
- 20:38Speaker 5: Man he goes, hey, you take it on the weekend,
- 20:41Speaker 5: and I literally became friends with him. He let me
- 20:44Speaker 5: drive it on the weekend.
- 20:45Speaker 9: Let me tell you crazy, I washed it and I'm
- 20:47Speaker 9: driving down Jefferson and it hit me about the third
- 20:50Speaker 9: light that I was in Detroit with no top.
- 20:57Speaker 5: Brought it back to sprid.
- 20:58Speaker 9: But I literally got to experience being afraid of what
- 21:03Speaker 9: do you do with a two hundred thousand dollars car.
- 21:05Speaker 9: I did some dumb thing. I bought another two hundred
- 21:07Speaker 9: thousand dollars car with the top on, with the top
- 21:10Speaker 9: all and when I pulled up to the restaurant, the
- 21:14Speaker 9: guy was like, oh, I got up, mister Sally, and
- 21:16Speaker 9: he pulled the car up on the street and I go, oh, no, no, no, no,
- 21:19Speaker 9: put it back there with cones around it. And in
- 21:22Speaker 9: some lights He's like, no, no, we leave it up
- 21:24Speaker 9: front for you. I said, I can get side swiped.
- 21:26Speaker 9: And I was literally worried about my car getting sideswiped.
- 21:30Speaker 5: And I was like, why am I worried about this car?
- 21:32Speaker 5: And I sold it? You said, you.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Said, I say, Isaiah gave you the advice that he
- 21:36Speaker 2: puts his money with the doctors and the lawyers do
- 21:39Speaker 2: where were those places? What the type of investments was?
- 21:41Speaker 2: Was he speaking about.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Just financial advisor financially like they weren't doing.
- 21:47Speaker 9: God, I don't know how to say it. I think
- 21:49Speaker 9: it's cool to open barbershops. I think it's cool to
- 21:51Speaker 9: open things like that, like I have. Now my three
- 21:55Speaker 9: daughters are going to own a black.
- 22:01Speaker 5: Hairshow hairshot.
- 22:03Speaker 9: I partnered with somebody that owns five of them, and
- 22:07Speaker 9: then I was like, well, I'll open it here. You
- 22:09Speaker 9: do the back end, we'll do the front end. We'll
- 22:11Speaker 9: do the advertising, the pushing, the pictures, the lotions and potions, de.
- 22:15Speaker 5: Pills, what the average world it is? You fill it in.
- 22:18Speaker 9: And I did that because, you know, like my man
- 22:21Speaker 9: Dame Dad says, I want my kids to be bosses.
- 22:25Speaker 5: Tyler is a boss.
- 22:26Speaker 9: Taya just turned eighteen last week and she was like,
- 22:29Speaker 9: I need to make fifteen thousand a month. Figure it out.
- 22:32Speaker 9: Walked away from me, you know, and everybody was like,
- 22:37Speaker 9: what about college? And I've been thinking about it, and
- 22:40Speaker 9: I just my daughter Tyler was so brilliant. She goes,
- 22:43Speaker 9: how much you're gonna pay? She was at American University
- 22:46Speaker 9: her first year. I said, you're about fifty three thousand
- 22:49Speaker 9: a year just for tuition because she didn't want to
- 22:51Speaker 9: play basketball or get a scholarship. She wanted to live life.
- 22:56Speaker 9: And then the second yeah, she came back and was like,
- 23:00Speaker 9: I got about two hundred and fifty left, and I
- 23:01Speaker 9: know I want to be in the cannabis business, So
- 23:03Speaker 9: why don't you invest that in me in the cannabis business,
- 23:06Speaker 9: and let's take off. And I was four years ago
- 23:09Speaker 9: and her first big contract was a me and two.
- 23:15Speaker 9: So it's you know, we're waiting on how that pans
- 23:18Speaker 9: out and the plan and her being the face. She
- 23:21Speaker 9: was in the top fifty women in cannabis and so
- 23:25Speaker 9: just her building and understanding. I'm going to take all
- 23:27Speaker 9: the arrows because I'm a pioneer, but at least whoever
- 23:31Speaker 9: comes behind me is going to know. Isaiah guy literally
- 23:37Speaker 9: looked out for him unbelievably. And I remember Wilt Chamberlain.
- 23:41Speaker 9: I got to meet Will Chamberlain and he said to me,
- 23:44Speaker 9: I got these three Jewish guys. Yeah, they like me,
- 23:47Speaker 9: so they look out for me. And they did. They
- 23:50Speaker 9: took care of Will made sure. Because you can't do
- 23:53Speaker 9: two things at one time, you can't do them well.
- 23:57Speaker 9: So unless you're a finance major, if you go to college,
- 24:00Speaker 9: you should be a finance major. You should learn how
- 24:02Speaker 9: to code. You should do only things that's going to
- 24:05Speaker 9: help you in the future. Period and asking for a job,
- 24:09Speaker 9: isn't it so Isaiah's guys.
- 24:10Speaker 5: Look, I'm in business with Isaiah now.
- 24:12Speaker 9: I'm on the advisory board to one World Farmer with
- 24:15Speaker 9: the largest cannabis hemp grow in the world. We are
- 24:20Speaker 9: one point nine million acres in Colombia, so we sell seeds.
- 24:24Speaker 5: To Germany and Spain.
- 24:26Speaker 9: And I mean when Isaiah first got it, I called
- 24:29Speaker 9: him and he kept saying, za like I said, Zeke.
- 24:32Speaker 9: I called you. I said, I called you. I kept saying, dude,
- 24:36Speaker 9: I don't know if you know how big that is.
- 24:39Speaker 9: You know how big it is because hemp is going
- 24:41Speaker 9: to be the future of medicine, not by mistake. It's
- 24:45Speaker 9: always been a future of medicine, but they held it
- 24:48Speaker 9: up and being able to grow it in the same
- 24:50Speaker 9: place that used to be known for growing cocaine. The
- 24:53Speaker 9: reason we don't grow cocaine in America is, of course
- 24:56Speaker 9: we can't. We can grow hemp here, but not as
- 24:59Speaker 9: efficiently year round.
- 25:01Speaker 5: And the reason they grow.
- 25:02Speaker 9: Poppy seeds or they have heroin in Thailand because we
- 25:06Speaker 9: can't grow it. So those those tropical places don't have
- 25:10Speaker 9: to worry about certain things. And I thought it was
- 25:13Speaker 9: a great move to be in Colombia. Plus the government's involved,
- 25:17Speaker 9: the Colombian government knowing they had to pivot from being
- 25:21Speaker 9: known as a cocaine place.
- 25:22Speaker 3: So let's get into this conversation about the marijuana industry.
- 25:25Speaker 3: We'll start right there. That's interesting, So break that down
- 25:28Speaker 3: a little bit as far as so Isaiah is Isaiah Thomas'
- 25:31Speaker 3: company or he's.
- 25:31Speaker 5: Involved with the situation. He's the CEO of the company.
- 25:34Speaker 3: And they're growing him in Colombia and they're sending it
- 25:38Speaker 3: back to America everywhere all over the world, and it's
- 25:42Speaker 3: for medical purposes.
- 25:44Speaker 9: Yeah, because it's the cannabis plant. Uh, marijuana is a
- 25:50Speaker 9: is a name that the Mexicans gave it for like
- 25:52Speaker 9: wacky weed, make it look crazy, and that's what they
- 25:55Speaker 9: called it madjuana. But but it's the camp is this
- 26:01Speaker 9: cannabis plant. And all humans have a cannabinoid system, so
- 26:05Speaker 9: your body adapts to as soon as it gets the cannabinoid.
- 26:09Speaker 9: They know that they know it had different things on
- 26:12Speaker 9: anti inflammatory. Most of the problems in everything you do
- 26:15Speaker 9: is information, and they knew it had a soothing effect,
- 26:19Speaker 9: and they knew it had a thing of attracting and
- 26:22Speaker 9: attacking free radicals. Free radicals being known as cancer cells,
- 26:28Speaker 9: things that break down cells too much energy, too much oxygen.
- 26:32Speaker 5: These things are known.
- 26:33Speaker 9: To regulate your body with no cyco active part like
- 26:38Speaker 9: the cannabis plant. So the hemp plant and the cannabis
- 26:41Speaker 9: plant are sisters or brother sisters. The hmp plant doesn't
- 26:46Speaker 9: need the bud. We can just use the complete plant
- 26:49Speaker 9: for two hundred different applications. The cannabis plant, which has
- 26:54Speaker 9: the psycho active part of it, of the THC, is
- 26:58Speaker 9: a different one. They were slowing that down costs. It
- 27:02Speaker 9: will end the opioid crisis. If we gave people cannabis,
- 27:06Speaker 9: there'd be no reason to give you a pill to
- 27:08Speaker 9: tell you don't have pain. And I tell people this
- 27:11Speaker 9: all the time. If you have pain and you take
- 27:13Speaker 9: a pill of opioid, what it does is it finally
- 27:16Speaker 9: breaks down in your blood, gets into your blood system,
- 27:18Speaker 9: goes to your brain, shuts down to the reflectors or
- 27:23Speaker 9: the census is telling you have pain. It doesn't heal it.
- 27:27Speaker 9: The difference with a hemp plant is when you put
- 27:29Speaker 9: that on, it literally starts the healing process, going into
- 27:34Speaker 9: the cannabinoid system and building more strength, getting more worker cells.
- 27:38Speaker 5: Being like when.
- 27:39Speaker 9: You get stem cell therapy, you put more cells in
- 27:43Speaker 9: the area that help build. So the hemp plant can
- 27:49Speaker 9: also make concrete, clothing, newspaper, and it's more and you
- 27:54Speaker 9: don't have to cut down forest.
- 27:56Speaker 5: To do it. It's easier to grow. It grows in.
- 27:58Speaker 9: Sixty days as opposed to it tree taking two hundred
- 28:01Speaker 9: years to grow.
- 28:02Speaker 2: So, like, now that's one of the big things here
- 28:04Speaker 2: in the United States is obviously more states are making
- 28:06Speaker 2: illegal to have recreational medicinal marijuana, and so now people
- 28:10Speaker 2: here are trying to grow it, but there's only certain
- 28:12Speaker 2: places of the country that can't even.
- 28:14Speaker 5: Be that make it good, that make it good, right.
- 28:16Speaker 2: So more beneficial obviously to go to international route and
- 28:19Speaker 2: do it. And what is the cost of overhead, because
- 28:22Speaker 2: I know it's very expensive to try to do it here. Plus,
- 28:25Speaker 2: like I think al Harington was saying to s us
- 28:27Speaker 2: like even where we're from New York, you have to
- 28:29Speaker 2: have twenty years of farming experience to even get approved,
- 28:31Speaker 2: which is.
- 28:32Speaker 5: Like, yeah, they don't want they don't want certain people.
- 28:35Speaker 2: Right, So it's international something that the common person can do.
- 28:38Speaker 9: Yeah, because if you invest, if you get involved in
- 28:44Speaker 9: what's going on, remember you can go to Answerdam and
- 28:46Speaker 9: they were they had coffee houses. They've been smoking weed
- 28:49Speaker 9: since the seventies and not not the same. I went
- 28:52Speaker 9: to Answerdam there was a plant that literally was the
- 28:55Speaker 9: size of a fighters tree, which is everybody doesn't know.
- 28:58Speaker 9: It's usually those tall trees right there.
- 29:00Speaker 5: Are the ones behind it.
- 29:01Speaker 9: And it was a brown bush and it was a
- 29:04Speaker 9: tree of cannabis. They have been doing it for so long.
- 29:06Speaker 9: The research coming out of Israel.
- 29:11Speaker 5: U what is it? Tokuleim? I think I said it right.
- 29:16Speaker 9: In Jamaica, my boy Andre iron I genetics literally learned
- 29:20Speaker 9: to grow in Asterdam from bronx. But he's Jamaican and
- 29:26Speaker 9: he's growing as if he's in Los Angeles. Really good weed.
- 29:30Speaker 9: Because you ever go to Jamaica, you can get ganja,
- 29:33Speaker 9: which you would have to smoke the entire day, uh
- 29:36Speaker 9: and then you will be roster at the end of
- 29:38Speaker 9: the day, because that's the only way to get it.
- 29:40Speaker 9: Or you can smoke Ironi genetics and and get the
- 29:43Speaker 9: caliweed cali mentality. So I don't smoke weed.
- 29:48Speaker 5: So what you don't smoke weed, you don't eat vegan burgers?
- 29:51Speaker 5: What working on?
- 29:56Speaker 3: You know? I've been around marijuana. Smoke is my entire life,
- 29:59Speaker 3: so I know link, but I still don't fully understand it.
- 30:02Speaker 3: Cali Bud, from my understanding, is like premiere and what
- 30:06Speaker 3: we have on the East Coast is not good. And
- 30:09Speaker 3: you're saying ganja. I thought you may always had good week,
- 30:12Speaker 3: but you're saying that ganja is not good. It doesn't
- 30:14Speaker 3: get you high, not as high.
- 30:16Speaker 5: So can we get a taste of This is the
- 30:24Speaker 5: deal you run into.
- 30:27Speaker 9: The ganja has a low THC that's a natural organic
- 30:30Speaker 9: and how it grows it's from their seeds. They get
- 30:34Speaker 9: the seeds out of it, they throw it in their backyard,
- 30:36Speaker 9: they let it grow up in the.
- 30:37Speaker 5: Mountain, they take it, they dry the best they can.
- 30:41Speaker 9: Cannabis here in America has been genetically modified to take
- 30:45Speaker 9: the THC to a different level.
- 30:48Speaker 3: A lot of people you're crying, very passionate about this, Yeah,
- 30:55Speaker 3: the Passion Project.
- 30:57Speaker 9: Yeah, because it's so funny. On this one show, my
- 30:59Speaker 9: cousin said, what's wrong with your eye? And what it
- 31:02Speaker 9: is is I had my eyes operating on so I
- 31:04Speaker 9: didn't have to wear glasses and it just waters all
- 31:07Speaker 9: the time. Yeah, but that's the difference. You get there
- 31:13Speaker 9: and it's on a stick, and it's brown, and it's
- 31:16Speaker 9: like marijuana, like the marijuana, the marijuana that sometimes comes
- 31:20Speaker 9: out of Mexico.
- 31:21Speaker 5: It's just it's not doesn't do the job I've heard.
- 31:27Speaker 9: Yeah, so you heard right. But in that to check it.
- 31:31Speaker 9: So you asked me about the cost, it's going to
- 31:33Speaker 9: be a little bit low. No one's going to be
- 31:36Speaker 9: able to out sell one world farmer when it comes
- 31:40Speaker 9: to hemping cannabis period, because one no one has a
- 31:46Speaker 9: million nine acres of just cannabis and hemp that won't
- 31:50Speaker 9: cross collaborized, meaning when the wind blows all of a sudden,
- 31:55Speaker 9: this plant can become a male plant and not put
- 31:57Speaker 9: any bud out. We have so much land that this
- 32:02Speaker 9: whole side can be You can be growing in Beverly
- 32:07Speaker 9: Hills hemp and be growing downtown Los Angeles cannabis.
- 32:14Speaker 5: That's how much land it is. Wow.
- 32:17Speaker 3: And then two separate, totally different things.
- 32:19Speaker 9: Two separate things, and with two extraction facilities being built
- 32:24Speaker 9: as we speak. So literally the import is going to
- 32:28Speaker 9: be less than anybody can do anything, even out of Colorado.
- 32:32Speaker 2: So are you able to import domestically here to the
- 32:34Speaker 2: United States?
- 32:35Speaker 9: Is this okay, cannabis. Yeah, as soon as they do,
- 32:41Speaker 9: they're gonna want that. They're gonna want There's gonna be
- 32:45Speaker 9: places like Okay, North Carolina makes cigarettes, right, we know that,
- 32:48Speaker 9: and Winston Salem makes cigarettes. But you can get Dune Hill,
- 32:54Speaker 9: you can get Camp, you can get all these other
- 32:57Speaker 9: things closed from all.
- 32:58Speaker 5: Around the world.
- 32:59Speaker 9: And if you're going to get if you're going to
- 33:02Speaker 9: be in the weed business and you own a dispensary,
- 33:04Speaker 9: and it's going to cost you less money to get
- 33:05Speaker 9: my product with the same effect, you would pay less
- 33:10Speaker 9: and sell it for less, So the prices are going
- 33:12Speaker 9: to drop.
- 33:13Speaker 3: CBD if you're this term a lot, I'm still not
- 33:16Speaker 3: one hundred percent sure what actually CBD is or what
- 33:18Speaker 3: it does. It's oils, it's cream, it's everything is what's
- 33:23Speaker 3: what's the deal with CBD.
- 33:24Speaker 9: It's a cannabinoid, So it's it's literally the life from
- 33:27Speaker 9: inside of the plant.
- 33:29Speaker 5: And what I have.
- 33:31Speaker 9: With the company I'm with Title Spot where Connor McGregor
- 33:35Speaker 9: is our partner in our face, it's a recovery. We
- 33:38Speaker 9: got a Chronos spray. We'll be in cbs throughout the
- 33:44Speaker 9: country by by December. We start in four hundred stores
- 33:49Speaker 9: in May, and three months after that way an eight
- 33:52Speaker 9: hundred store, So we'll be in twenty seven hundred stares
- 33:55Speaker 9: before we get to the ninety five hundred after a year.
- 33:58Speaker 9: When you use this, so say you hurt your knuckle, right,
- 34:04Speaker 9: you hurt your wrists, or you hurt your wrists and
- 34:06Speaker 9: you grab your wrists and.
- 34:07Speaker 5: You're looking at it. It doesn't look any different, but
- 34:09Speaker 5: it hurts.
- 34:12Speaker 9: That's a note from here that where the pain is
- 34:16Speaker 9: ran up your arm, through your electrical system into your brain.
- 34:20Speaker 9: Tell the brain what it was, back to it when
- 34:22Speaker 9: you put a CBD on it. If you put any
- 34:24Speaker 9: kind of anything else, I'm not going to say any
- 34:26Speaker 9: other companies Icy Hot, you put that on that just
- 34:31Speaker 9: works on the top part of your skin. It gets
- 34:34Speaker 9: to the sensors, and say the CBD literally can penetrate
- 34:39Speaker 9: the dermer. I'm going to get so many arguments on this.
- 34:45Speaker 5: A certain.
- 34:47Speaker 9: The reason I noticed because a certain company has a
- 34:50Speaker 9: trademark on one that only stays it and doesn't get
- 34:53Speaker 9: into the blood system. And that's another thing they're going
- 34:55Speaker 9: to say, is it going to mess with this?
- 34:57Speaker 5: It's not.
- 34:58Speaker 9: This is literally goes into your body as calming system.
- 35:01Speaker 9: And tells your body this is what I got. I
- 35:03Speaker 9: got CBD nightly that within fifteen minutes you will feel
- 35:10Speaker 9: drowsy and go to sleep.
- 35:12Speaker 2: So guarantee, Because again Al Harington did say this to husband.
- 35:16Speaker 2: At the tail end his career, he started using CBD.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Why do you think more sports leagues don't allow it?
- 35:24Speaker 5: I think NBA just.
- 35:25Speaker 2: Allowed marijuana to be used as a drug a month
- 35:28Speaker 2: the league, I think, so I'm going back.
- 35:32Speaker 9: The reason I think is they always want to be last.
- 35:37Speaker 9: This is a controversial statement. I'm about to say. They'll
- 35:41Speaker 9: use an athlete to push a vaccine that hasn't been
- 35:44Speaker 9: approved by the FDA, because that's how you get the
- 35:49Speaker 9: public to pay attention, because if they won't approve it,
- 35:53Speaker 9: but they know that the athletes have that much power.
- 35:57Speaker 9: So if athletes start talking about my treatment is CBD,
- 36:02Speaker 9: think about how many companies go out of business, Your Advils,
- 36:07Speaker 9: your Tyler Knowle's, your night Quells. You're destroying a complete
- 36:12Speaker 9: system from a plant that they've been trying to hold
- 36:15Speaker 9: down since I think nineteen eighteen, nineteen nineteen, since even
- 36:21Speaker 9: when people were trying to doubt themselves with alcohol, they
- 36:25Speaker 9: knew that this was a powerful thing, but so many
- 36:28Speaker 9: industries will go down when people can now. And if
- 36:31Speaker 9: you can grow marijuana in your house or grow hemp
- 36:34Speaker 9: in your backyard, just like this fight history, and you
- 36:37Speaker 9: were able to get it and make tease of it
- 36:40Speaker 9: and mass it down, you're going to destroy a whole system.
- 36:43Speaker 9: And so they understand that, and they understand that.
- 36:46Speaker 5: They remember that.
- 36:48Speaker 9: I saw this cartoon and a guy goes to a
- 36:50Speaker 9: homeless person that says, why are you not afraid of COVID?
- 36:53Speaker 9: He said, I don't watch television, And I thought about it.
- 36:56Speaker 9: If you didn't watch TV, if they didn't hit you
- 36:58Speaker 9: in the head with it, if it wasn't over the
- 37:00Speaker 9: whole time, your fear would be now nil. You would
- 37:05Speaker 9: have no fear of it if you're not constantly told
- 37:07Speaker 9: to fear it. And if you if somebody says, oh,
- 37:11Speaker 9: we got anti viral things, and we got things that
- 37:14Speaker 9: kill this, we got things that kill bactery, we got
- 37:17Speaker 9: things that kill viruses, you would be like, oh, I'm good.
- 37:21Speaker 9: But they got to keep you afraid. They got to
- 37:23Speaker 9: keep you. They got to keep these companies in position,
- 37:27Speaker 9: and they don't really care. I just heard on the
- 37:29Speaker 9: radio coming here what sixteen people had blood cats with
- 37:33Speaker 9: Johnson Johnson and they were like, but that's great. Eight
- 37:35Speaker 9: million people were giving it and only sixteen problems. Well,
- 37:39Speaker 9: you got to know if you get a pharmaceutical, there's
- 37:41Speaker 9: going to be side effects. There's no side effects to cannabis. Sleep,
- 37:47Speaker 9: joy less than a you know, not given a hell
- 37:53Speaker 9: about anything. Yeah, you know, less stressed. This is a miracle,
- 37:58Speaker 9: miracle plan. I didn't smoke either. I was raised Jehovah witnessed.
- 38:03Speaker 9: My brother's world is crazy athletes who they smoke weed,
- 38:07Speaker 9: but I couldn't. And I was I used to be
- 38:12Speaker 9: in the bathroom when they were smoking. I guess I
- 38:13Speaker 9: got a contact hearing these crazy stories. Is they got
- 38:16Speaker 9: crazy as they got higher, and I just thought, you know,
- 38:19Speaker 9: it was a great thing.
- 38:21Speaker 5: And then you know, I was a big fan.
- 38:22Speaker 9: Of Richard Pryor, and Richard Pryor you know, talked against
- 38:25Speaker 9: drugs after so I didn't want to do it. Plus,
- 38:28Speaker 9: I didn't want to be known as anything other than
- 38:33Speaker 9: the john Sally I've been working to be my whole life.
- 38:37Speaker 2: One of one of the things I read that you
- 38:39Speaker 2: would create was the Cannabis Plan. Yeah, and I'm like,
- 38:42Speaker 2: I've not even heard of this, but it's an insurance
- 38:45Speaker 2: specifically for the cannabis industry.
- 38:47Speaker 5: Yeah, what are the inner details of that?
- 38:49Speaker 9: So what happens is if you were to go to
- 38:52Speaker 9: the doctor and you were sick or you were in
- 38:55Speaker 9: a car accident, they're gonna check your blood. They're gonna
- 38:58Speaker 9: check your blood for alcohol. They also check it for cannabis.

- 40:53Speaker 6: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 40:57Speaker 6: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 41:01Speaker 6: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 41:05Speaker 6: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 41:09Speaker 6: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 41:13Speaker 6: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 41:17Speaker 6: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 41:21Speaker 6: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 41:25Speaker 6: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 41:28Speaker 6: are here illegally, your next you will be fine nearly
- 41:32Speaker 6: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned and deported, you will
- 41:36Speaker 6: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 41:40Speaker 6: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 41:44Speaker 6: Do what's right.
- 41:45Speaker 9: Leave now.
- 41:46Speaker 6: Under President Trump America's laws, border and families will.
- 41:51Speaker 2: Be protected sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland.
- 41:53Speaker 9: Security, opioids, narcotics, everything. Because they don't want to pay you.
- 41:58Speaker 9: They want to say it was yours situation. If they're
- 42:01Speaker 9: testing you at work and they test you for drugs
- 42:06Speaker 9: and cannabis is legal in your state, they can't not
- 42:11Speaker 9: give you this.
- 42:12Speaker 5: Give you what you deserve.
- 42:13Speaker 9: They can't put you out because of drug You can't
- 42:16Speaker 9: fail a drug test. The insurance is if people find
- 42:20Speaker 9: out that you smoke cigarettes, they will be like, well,
- 42:25Speaker 9: it's going to be less Well if you smoke cannabis,
- 42:28Speaker 9: they're going to be like, it's even going to be like,
- 42:30Speaker 9: we're not doing that. We understand that if you're you're
- 42:32Speaker 9: going to do something different. If you smoke cannabis, it's
- 42:35Speaker 9: because you want to feel better. That's a good thing.
- 42:38Speaker 9: So I don't have to give you depression medicine and
- 42:39Speaker 9: pay for that. And if you got a company and
- 42:43Speaker 9: a lot of people didn't have this insurance that own
- 42:46Speaker 9: these companies, they own these cannabis places, and you want
- 42:49Speaker 9: to give them insurance, this is a great place. All
- 42:52Speaker 9: you got to do is guarantee say once a year,
- 42:54Speaker 9: you're going to do this this complete physical, and when
- 42:58Speaker 9: you do that physical, you're going to submit to physic
- 43:00Speaker 9: and you get your insurance. Anything happens, you get paid.
- 43:03Speaker 9: They cannot fire you, hold anything back from you from
- 43:08Speaker 9: this cannabis plant. It's been approved, and insurance companies weren't
- 43:12Speaker 9: understanding that and weren't trying to ensure people. So I
- 43:15Speaker 9: got my boy Darren Phillips, he used to be with AFLAC.
- 43:19Speaker 9: I don't know fifteen twenty something years and he was like,
- 43:23Speaker 9: this is it. We're going to offer it to different dispensaries,
- 43:26Speaker 9: and we're gonna offer it individually.
- 43:28Speaker 3: So the CBD when you put that cream on, because
- 43:32Speaker 3: I think this is what I'm trying to give people
- 43:34Speaker 3: the full education. Because the people it's like anti marijuana,
- 43:37Speaker 3: and they like, I don't want to use drugs. I
- 43:39Speaker 3: don't want to put anything.
- 43:40Speaker 9: If you don't want to use drugs, you cannot go
- 43:42Speaker 9: to riot Aid, Walgreen's or CVS. Everything inside there is
- 43:45Speaker 9: a drug. Everything inside there is made in a factory,
- 43:48Speaker 9: and everything inside there has a side effect and a
- 43:51Speaker 9: backfire and to the point where the government will come
- 43:55Speaker 9: to a couple of things, you guys are gonna take well,
- 43:58Speaker 9: you can't sue them if anything goes wrong. Oh they
- 44:04Speaker 9: left that part out, So I didn't mean to cut
- 44:07Speaker 9: you off. But I tell people drugs are made, and
- 44:09Speaker 9: drugs made in factories and from and given to you
- 44:14Speaker 9: in a drug farm. Cannabis or hemp oil, plant cream, lotion, potion,
- 44:23Speaker 9: drink is literally only you drinking a vegetable, You putting
- 44:28Speaker 9: a vegetable on your arm, you spraying a vegetable.
- 44:32Speaker 5: That's all it is. It's a plant. It's it's it's
- 44:35Speaker 5: a it's a plant made by God, not a plant
- 44:39Speaker 5: made in a plant. Right.
- 44:41Speaker 3: But so what I'm saying is like without th a
- 44:43Speaker 3: C T A c is the part they get you high. Right,
- 44:45Speaker 3: But you can correct me if I'm wrong. The CBD
- 44:48Speaker 3: and all that that doesn't have tac anythne. So that's
- 44:51Speaker 3: just the medical part of the marijuana plant. It's without
- 44:54Speaker 3: the THAC part.
- 44:55Speaker 9: The THAC is psychoactive, meaning you're gonna be a little loopy.
- 44:59Speaker 9: My mom she passed last year. God wrestled so ninety six.
- 45:03Speaker 9: But I I'd bring in a CBD in a spray form,
- 45:09Speaker 9: so like a banaka, put it under a tongue.
- 45:11Speaker 5: Man. She was in a nursing home.
- 45:14Speaker 9: Nurse, come here, you gotta you gotta, you gotta try
- 45:16Speaker 9: to your breakfast hard. She she wanted everybody on CBD
- 45:20Speaker 9: after a while, and she was like, man, if I
- 45:23Speaker 9: knew this is the way it made you feel, why
- 45:25Speaker 9: didn't tell us?
- 45:26Speaker 5: I said, Well, they.
- 45:27Speaker 9: Wanted you not to like it, and they wanted you
- 45:30Speaker 9: to be afraid of it. But if I told you
- 45:34Speaker 9: to take antibody, you would either tell me you were
- 45:38Speaker 9: allergic to antibody or which antibody you've taken in your
- 45:42Speaker 9: life and those stay in your body for two years?
- 45:46Speaker 9: Really rough on your kidneys, tremendous, terrible job on your
- 45:51Speaker 9: on your liver, bad for your testosterone, bad for your sperm,
- 45:57Speaker 9: count everything about this antibiotic. Understand this. It's an anti body.
- 46:05Speaker 9: It destroys the body. It's anti.
- 46:09Speaker 3: Well that's interesting, So let's talk about this company.
- 46:13Speaker 5: Deuces. Yeah, what's the what's the deal with that?
- 46:15Speaker 9: Well, my basketball number was twenty two and if if
- 46:18Speaker 9: you guys didn't know that she's retired of Georgia Tech.
- 46:22Speaker 3: Oh, we need something from you. I forget Bobby Wagoner
- 46:27Speaker 3: shot out to him. He's giving us a signed Seahawks jersey.
- 46:31Speaker 9: So, oh, you're gonna give me a sign Bobby Wagner.
- 46:34Speaker 9: That's dope. That is dope.
- 46:36Speaker 2: I like preferably the Detroit twenty two years.
- 46:40Speaker 3: Oh yeah yeah if I yeah, yeah, we gotta put
- 46:43Speaker 3: that on the eyo.
- 46:44Speaker 9: I'm gonna hook it up. I'm a hook it up.
- 46:46Speaker 9: I'm a fine one. Rannie Rosenbauer will hook it up.
- 46:48Speaker 5: Appreciate. What was the next question?
- 46:53Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Deuces.
- 46:54Speaker 9: So my basketball number and all my kids had to
- 46:58Speaker 9: accept the last one one at number fourteen.
- 47:02Speaker 5: Crazy chick.
- 47:03Speaker 9: Anyway, and it's a trip too because she was born
- 47:07Speaker 9: on April twenty first, and my you know, we were having
- 47:09Speaker 9: a c sex and I was like, you can wait
- 47:11Speaker 9: twenty four hours. She was like no, and so she's
- 47:16Speaker 9: born in twenty first. Anyway, I when I was getting
- 47:22Speaker 9: into business and my daughter was saying it, she was
- 47:25Speaker 9: we were talking about all these different things we should do.
- 47:29Speaker 9: I don't know if you saw me, but I was
- 47:30Speaker 9: on the Hollywood Psychic and this young guy with the
- 47:34Speaker 9: blond hair is reading me. And my daughter and I
- 47:37Speaker 9: were having a conversation from the house to the chute,
- 47:40Speaker 9: and all we were talking about was cannabis. And when
- 47:43Speaker 9: he was sitting there and he started sweating profusely and moving,
- 47:46Speaker 9: he was like, what do you want to talk about it?
- 47:48Speaker 9: So I want to talk about business. He goes, going
- 47:50Speaker 9: to business with your daughter, it's going to be successful,
- 47:54Speaker 9: but you're doing something and vegan food. I wanted to
- 47:56Speaker 9: get up and walk away because no one knew. Tyler
- 47:58Speaker 9: and I had this this conversation because we had just
- 48:02Speaker 9: decided then and then we said, well, let's get into it,
- 48:05Speaker 9: and we went to our first convention downtown because I said,
- 48:09Speaker 9: if we're going to smoke weed, why are we buying it?
- 48:12Speaker 9: Why do we not know from seed to sel? Why
- 48:15Speaker 9: do Why am I buying it and not understanding it?
- 48:19Speaker 9: And Al Harrington has been even though he's my little brother,
- 48:24Speaker 9: and you know, I've always looked and been cool with
- 48:26Speaker 9: our I thought he was an amazing specimen of a human.
- 48:29Speaker 9: You ever see this dude's body and like nineteen year old,
- 48:32Speaker 9: you know, killing people. I always loved Al, but when
- 48:36Speaker 9: he got into Viola and he got David Stern to
- 48:39Speaker 9: sit down and have a conversation with him, it was
- 48:42Speaker 9: smarter to stand behind him and let him trail the blaze,
- 48:48Speaker 9: blaze the trail, and you know, I act like a player. Now,
- 48:52Speaker 9: just come behind and go I'm great. This is why
- 48:54Speaker 9: they gave me means No, it's because what came in
- 48:57Speaker 9: front of you, and every step out is made good
- 49:00Speaker 9: and bad. We've learned from We decided to be a
- 49:04Speaker 9: packaging company. So deuce Is twenty two makes the package
- 49:08Speaker 9: for cannabis that we buy from boutique sellers. So one,
- 49:14Speaker 9: you're not going to see our weed everywhere, and two.
- 49:17Speaker 9: It's like having Louis at thirteenth because if I'm in
- 49:20Speaker 9: that city, because I don't travel with cannabis, if I'm
- 49:24Speaker 9: in another city and they have a dispensary, I want
- 49:27Speaker 9: to be able to buy my cannabis and know it's bombed.
- 49:30Speaker 9: I don't want you to be like, yo, you can
- 49:32Speaker 9: have it's whack. I don't want that. And I don't
- 49:35Speaker 9: want you to bootleg me and buy my packaging anywhere
- 49:39Speaker 9: downtown to La, put your weed in it and sell.
- 49:41Speaker 5: It all over. I don't want to do that.
- 49:43Speaker 9: So the only way I feel we can control it
- 49:45Speaker 9: is by controlling the packaging. And the only way we
- 49:47Speaker 9: can control it and teach is the film. So I'm
- 49:52Speaker 9: going to give you send you guys a piece a
- 49:54Speaker 9: clip of my daughter of the show. We're shooting every
- 49:57Speaker 9: single step of the way, because the way you're asking
- 49:59Speaker 9: questions is exactly the same where everyone else is asking
- 50:03Speaker 9: because they want to be sure they've heard it.
- 50:05Speaker 5: So we want you to go along with our ride
- 50:08Speaker 5: as we're deciding.
- 50:10Speaker 9: And I mean, we went up to Homebolt, which is
- 50:14Speaker 9: the most amazing place for cannabis. The whole Homebolt County
- 50:19Speaker 9: is cannabis driven. That means everybody in the county is
- 50:24Speaker 9: in the cannabis business. So their basketball team, football team,
- 50:28Speaker 9: cheerleading squad, baseball team, drill team is all financed by cannabis.
- 50:34Speaker 9: And all those families know it, and all the kids
- 50:37Speaker 9: know that. Their fathers and master growers, their transporterers, they
- 50:42Speaker 9: all know it and they're left to do that. So
- 50:44Speaker 9: we went up there and we saw outside Grow, which
- 50:47Speaker 9: was amazing. That was growing silver hayes outside that literally
- 50:51Speaker 9: had fell off the face of earth. But it was
- 50:53Speaker 9: a really good high and he had thirty pounds. So
- 50:55Speaker 9: we bought the thirty pounds. And now that silver hayes
- 51:00Speaker 9: is going to be in our product and people can say, oh,
- 51:03Speaker 9: this is outside grown, this is organically grown. So the
- 51:06Speaker 9: same way I treat my body with a plant base
- 51:09Speaker 9: is the same way I treat my weed. I don't
- 51:12Speaker 9: talk about it against anybody else, but it's another reason
- 51:15Speaker 9: we're grown in Columbia.
- 51:16Speaker 5: It's organic. There are vital garden supply.
- 51:21Speaker 9: My boy, Brian Mainland, has been in Columbia for seven
- 51:25Speaker 9: years now making sure that they don't buy the roundup stuff.
- 51:30Speaker 9: I had a company called Pure Crop. One my partners
- 51:35Speaker 9: at the time. Didn't like the way I marketed it.
- 51:37Speaker 9: I said I was taking on my santo. They were like, yo, chill, no,
- 51:42Speaker 9: I want you to know we're here. So it's literally
- 51:45Speaker 9: as we grow it, how you grow it, what we
- 51:49Speaker 9: like about it, where to get it. All of that
- 51:52Speaker 9: is Induces and we got Deuces Academy, which literally teaches
- 51:55Speaker 9: the same way, like if you want to get into
- 51:57Speaker 9: cannabis business, you can go into Deuces Academy. Learn from
- 52:01Speaker 9: routa to tutor, from seed to sell, what position you
- 52:04Speaker 9: want to be in. This is this is the future
- 52:06Speaker 9: of medicine and it's the future of business. This is
- 52:09Speaker 9: the wild, wild, wild wesh right now. But it's going
- 52:13Speaker 9: to be think about this. I can say back in
- 52:16Speaker 9: the day, you got.
- 52:18Speaker 5: A joint and you'd be there right now. You know
- 52:23Speaker 5: you said you got a joint.
- 52:25Speaker 9: No, no, I got hold on my bombs in the
- 52:27Speaker 9: car and oh I'm gonna vape. It's moving so fast
- 52:31Speaker 9: that it won't be a thing that people are afraid of.
- 52:35Speaker 5: No more dogma.
- 52:36Speaker 2: So when you do the packaging, he says, you're packaging company.
- 52:38Speaker 2: I'm like, especially when you're doing like food and drugs
- 52:41Speaker 2: that DA has to put certain things like what's inside
- 52:43Speaker 2: his amount of nutrients, carbs and all that. What has
- 52:46Speaker 2: to go on the packaging for your marijuana.
- 52:48Speaker 9: Well, first thing, my packaging, no one's going to duplicate it.
- 52:51Speaker 9: And the reason they're not going to duplicate because it
- 52:53Speaker 9: costs too much to make it And our packaging when
- 52:57Speaker 9: you open it and close it, it was able to
- 53:00Speaker 9: settle herself back to seventy degrees inside inside, so your
- 53:03Speaker 9: weed is going to stay alive longer. Second, we're putting
- 53:06Speaker 9: augmented reality on top of it, which is when you
- 53:10Speaker 9: take your cell phone. That's why we got the academy.
- 53:12Speaker 9: You look at it and you're going to see almost
- 53:14Speaker 9: like Princess Lea, she pops up on the tops. So
- 53:16Speaker 9: thank you for purchasing out. Like we literally gone that
- 53:19Speaker 9: far to the security of our weed and so nobody
- 53:23Speaker 9: knocks us off. I mean, somebody gave me a Louis
- 53:28Speaker 9: Vuitton and then gave me a Louis Vuitton from the street.
- 53:31Speaker 5: You couldn't tell the difference.
- 53:33Speaker 9: I was like, I want you to be able to
- 53:35Speaker 9: tell a difference and what's inside In California, these are the.
- 53:38Speaker 5: Rules, Sativa.
- 53:39Speaker 9: How much THC, how much CBD year, the month, and
- 53:45Speaker 9: the crop it comes from.
- 53:47Speaker 5: All that is on it.
- 53:49Speaker 9: Because they wanted not to have old growers, so they
- 53:53Speaker 9: wanted these new rules, which are ridiculous. Is these regulations
- 53:58Speaker 9: on top of regulation on top regulations, which makes it
- 54:01Speaker 9: only the big guys really are going to be able
- 54:04Speaker 9: to grow this weed. Small growers won't be able to survive.
- 54:09Speaker 9: And that's the corporate structure coming involved in it. We're
- 54:13Speaker 9: the reason we only sell flour is we wanted to stay.
- 54:16Speaker 9: Tyler's mentality is to stay true to the essence of
- 54:21Speaker 9: cannabis and not manipulated. I had the best looking vap
- 54:26Speaker 9: pens and stuff. She was like, I don't want to
- 54:28Speaker 9: go that route. I want to stick to the cannabis.
- 54:30Speaker 2: Do you guys control distribution as well.
- 54:32Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 54:32Speaker 9: So we're with a social equity which is called Goverthday
- 54:35Speaker 9: down in South Central and we're green Haven, LA on
- 54:39Speaker 9: four to twenty down on a I can give the
- 54:42Speaker 9: address now, but it was seven sixty fourth Street. We
- 54:46Speaker 9: had like a black party and we hire everybody from
- 54:49Speaker 9: the hood to work in the growing of our weed,
- 54:52Speaker 9: the packaging of our weed, the distribution of our weed.
- 54:56Speaker 9: So we have five different licenses, and we're doing it slowly,
- 54:59Speaker 9: but by ourselves. My girl Chauncey brought us in. So
- 55:02Speaker 9: now if somebody says, what's your number, I have my
- 55:05Speaker 9: sale number, I have everything. The cops still gonna pull
- 55:08Speaker 9: me over. All right, So let's talk about this vegan situation. Yeah,
- 55:13Speaker 9: so you have a vegan restaurant. Yeah, in San Bordino, California.
- 55:17Speaker 9: Shout out to an Ie. What is to deal with that?
- 55:20Speaker 3: You gave me some interesting information as far as why
- 55:23Speaker 3: you actually put it there. What's the deal with that?
- 55:25Speaker 9: Well, watching y'all, I love how like detailed Sometime when
- 55:30Speaker 9: people are like I liked it. When the guy was
- 55:32Speaker 9: talking about NFTs, I have a dope NFT. I have
- 55:36Speaker 9: a picture of Kanye from two thousand and five that
- 55:40Speaker 9: my camera had a glitch, I thought, And it's a
- 55:43Speaker 9: picture of him moving and all of you see him.
- 55:46Speaker 5: You see him, but then you see this.
- 55:48Speaker 9: Spirit out of him and I call it the spirit
- 55:50Speaker 9: of hip hop and everybody's ever seen it. Kept saying
- 55:53Speaker 9: Kanye got that, and I go, I'm not giving it
- 55:55Speaker 9: to him yet, but.
- 55:58Speaker 5: I was like trying to get it.
- 56:00Speaker 9: So I always like that this show explains things too
- 56:03Speaker 9: you can get into the reason Loma Linda has the
- 56:06Speaker 9: most vegetarians. It's a block away. It's a blue zone
- 56:10Speaker 9: meaning and there's only eight blue zones in the world,
- 56:12Speaker 9: and one of them is Loma Linda. People live more centorians.
- 56:18Speaker 9: I think I said that right, centenarians, people who live
- 56:21Speaker 9: past one hundred, y'all figure it out.
- 56:24Speaker 5: I'm just learning this language.
- 56:26Speaker 9: And literally it wasn't There was like four different vegan
- 56:30Speaker 9: restaurants there, and a lot of them taste like you know,
- 56:32Speaker 9: they had sand in the food.
- 56:34Speaker 5: I'm not clowning anybody. It was just whack. You know.
- 56:38Speaker 9: We didn't have any season in their flavor. So my
- 56:41Speaker 9: boy Terrence and his wife Shiloh, we were I had
- 56:45Speaker 9: helped them with their CBD store, only in the design
- 56:48Speaker 9: because I went to the design and that he would
- 56:51Speaker 9: throw some things at me and I would say, no,
- 56:53Speaker 9: that's not a good idea to go there. Because he
- 56:56Speaker 9: wanted to put a CBD kios inside of the mall.
- 57:00Speaker 9: I said, no, one's going to buy it, because you're
- 57:02Speaker 9: not going to the ball to buy this CBD and
- 57:05Speaker 9: he goes, we got a chance to open up a cafe,
- 57:08Speaker 9: and I'm thinking cannabis cafe. Tell you why this is
- 57:13Speaker 9: so cool when they do allow it. My address is
- 57:16Speaker 9: four to twenty East Hospitality Lane, Like I have the cafe,
- 57:21Speaker 9: and it's an art gallery slash really good vegan food
- 57:25Speaker 9: with flavor.
- 57:27Speaker 5: My partners or chefs.
- 57:29Speaker 9: They are and he's from and he's and he's you know,
- 57:33Speaker 9: New Orleans boy. So our poor boy tastes like a
- 57:36Speaker 9: poor boy. Our hamburger tastes like a hamburger. And I'm
- 57:40Speaker 9: always telling people that because if you like McDonald's, Wendy's
- 57:44Speaker 9: a burger King, you really don't like hamburgers.
- 57:47Speaker 5: You just don't. You just it's just quick to go
- 57:49Speaker 5: get that. That's not real food.
- 57:51Speaker 9: But if you are cars junior and you go to
- 57:55Speaker 9: places that have burgers made, you know, they're fifteen minutes
- 57:59Speaker 9: making that burger, not four. That's the difference with I fool.
- 58:03Speaker 9: It tastes like the bad stuff, but it's not, and
- 58:06Speaker 9: it's seasoned all the way through, and there's a full menu.
- 58:10Speaker 9: That took us. We're nine months into it. We opened
- 58:14Speaker 9: June twenty sixth, in the middle of the pandemic, and
- 58:17Speaker 9: our lines were around the block in the hot sun.
- 58:21Speaker 9: I'm out there giving people lemonade, skirting them with water.
- 58:25Speaker 9: I got about five lawsuits. No, but I'm out there.
- 58:30Speaker 5: You know.
- 58:31Speaker 9: I bring a certain energy when we're in And then
- 58:35Speaker 9: I'm going to open Downtown LA, but only on the weekend.
- 58:39Speaker 9: I'm gonna do a weekend brunch. It's going to be
- 58:41Speaker 9: a bottomless brunch, the same way you can get lit
- 58:46Speaker 9: off of mimosas and champagne and God willing, I already
- 58:50Speaker 9: know because I'm in business with Isaiah's going to be
- 58:52Speaker 9: surely in. Which is Isaiah's champagne company? Do you know
- 58:57Speaker 9: Isaiah became the only American, black American own a champagne company,
- 59:02Speaker 9: not at jay Z Solar's company, and Charlynne is the
- 59:06Speaker 9: number one selling champagne in America. We wouldn't even know that.
- 59:10Speaker 9: That's just how Isaiah does things. So I'm literally finding
- 59:14Speaker 9: ways to move our products to as many places as
- 59:18Speaker 9: we possibly can. And I found out we're like the
- 59:21Speaker 9: only two athletes that play together that make money together.
- 59:27Speaker 9: That's a scary, scary, scary thought.
- 59:32Speaker 5: What do you think that is?
- 59:33Speaker 9: Would taught to be solo in everything? So you get drafted,
- 59:41Speaker 9: You get drafted as a linebacker. When you get to camp,
- 59:44Speaker 9: there's twelve linebacker stuf gotta be better at all every day, right,
- 59:52Speaker 9: And then the next week there's another twelve, and then
- 59:56Speaker 9: there's another twelve, and next year there's another twelve, and
- 59:58Speaker 9: there's another twelve. So don't become friends with your teammates.
- 1:00:03Speaker 9: It's a rare thing. You look at o Jo Sinko
- 1:00:06Speaker 9: and those guys doing their podcast. None of those guys
- 1:00:09Speaker 9: play together, but they have a common bond and we're
- 1:00:12Speaker 9: all taught to where in the NBA with twelve individual
- 1:00:17Speaker 9: companies working for one company, working for a company that's
- 1:00:22Speaker 9: owned by a big company. So I may love you,
- 1:00:27Speaker 9: but why Westbrook goes to the basket so hard because
- 1:00:30Speaker 9: he's not going to pass it to anybody else.
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: It's not going to happen.
- 1:00:35Speaker 9: So it's and we've been given certain things, but it's
- 1:00:38Speaker 9: always like oh yo, yo yo, I don't do And
- 1:00:41Speaker 9: I tell people now I'm a solo artist. I don't
- 1:00:43Speaker 9: really have time to deal with people who are afraid
- 1:00:47Speaker 9: of taking life examples. And Isaiah knew I knew so
- 1:00:52Speaker 9: much about cannabis. I gave his wife some of my
- 1:00:55Speaker 9: CBD one time, and he was like, send me the
- 1:00:57Speaker 9: bill and keep sending it, and next thing you know,
- 1:01:00Speaker 9: his son was like, I know weed like sal and
- 1:01:05Speaker 9: so they got into the cannabiy. He got into the
- 1:01:07Speaker 9: head and I taught him, I'm in the CBD. My
- 1:01:10Speaker 9: daughter Tyler is in the cannabis. That's because I want.
- 1:01:16Speaker 9: I went to David, I went to Adam Silverman, and
- 1:01:19Speaker 9: I said, hey, I want to be the first CBD in.
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: He was like, okay.
- 1:01:24Speaker 9: So I just called me like he didn't want to
- 1:01:25Speaker 9: hear it, because if you start advertising CBD, none of
- 1:01:31Speaker 9: those commercials are going to come on. I try to
- 1:01:34Speaker 9: go to the Food Network and pitch three different shows
- 1:01:37Speaker 9: and veganism, and I was wondering why it was it me?
- 1:01:40Speaker 9: What did I not know how to do television? I
- 1:01:43Speaker 9: knew how to do television. Was I was I too tall?
- 1:01:45Speaker 5: No?
- 1:01:47Speaker 9: All of the sponsors of me, So why would they
- 1:01:51Speaker 9: have a CBD company on You can't play You can't
- 1:01:53Speaker 9: I mean, have a vegan company.
- 1:01:55Speaker 5: You can't do it. Same thing with CBD.
- 1:01:58Speaker 9: You can't literally have abd ad and talk about lipatoire
- 1:02:03Speaker 9: and talk about the horizon and talk about you know,
- 1:02:07Speaker 9: your penis falling off if you take this and if
- 1:02:10Speaker 9: you do call your doctor. You know you don't. You
- 1:02:13Speaker 9: can't have those things. So in the cannabis, I literally
- 1:02:17Speaker 9: feel when I thought about it, I thought it could
- 1:02:19Speaker 9: be a brand.
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: Black people.
- 1:02:23Speaker 9: Fifty of all the CEOs of cannabis are female, first
- 1:02:27Speaker 9: time ever. Black people are still one percent, and we're
- 1:02:32Speaker 9: ninety percent of the people in jail for the infractions.
- 1:02:35Speaker 9: So the social equity Ross freeway, Rick Ross. I met
- 1:02:43Speaker 9: with him, I saw him. I supposed to meet with him.
- 1:02:45Speaker 9: I saw him in Atlanta and they were like, that's
- 1:02:47Speaker 9: Rick Ross.
- 1:02:48Speaker 5: I know, that's why were my food to go. No,
- 1:02:52Speaker 5: it was a cool dude. Yeah, real dude, real guy.
- 1:02:57Speaker 9: Lebron and Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan, there's no hesitation. Now
- 1:03:04Speaker 9: there was a hesitation. I'm going to say this, and
- 1:03:09Speaker 9: I said this before. The only reason I say MJ
- 1:03:13Speaker 9: is if you would have asked me that, if you
- 1:03:16Speaker 9: were to say MJ, doctor J, I would have said
- 1:03:19Speaker 9: doctor J, right, because I always talk about the one before.
- 1:03:24Speaker 9: Lebron is the most unbelievable human specimen next to Dennis Rodman.
- 1:03:31Speaker 9: Dennis Rodman is not from this planet. I think I
- 1:03:33Speaker 9: saw him in the movie Contact one time. Assumption he's
- 1:03:37Speaker 9: not from here and Lebron is six ten, two hundred
- 1:03:42Speaker 9: and sixty five pounds, eleven percent body fat, jumps forty
- 1:03:46Speaker 9: eight inches off the ground, loves to play basketball, so focused,
- 1:03:52Speaker 9: and doesn't have a problem in showing you his multi
- 1:03:58Speaker 9: is multiple ways of being great. That was learned from MJ.
- 1:04:04Speaker 9: So I say this, there's tied soap detergent. Then Kobe
- 1:04:10Speaker 9: was tied plus and the Lebron is tied win a grade.
- 1:04:16Speaker 5: Evolution. He's pods. It's safe to say he kept that
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: answer clean.
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: Yes, how do you How do you feel about the
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: NBA's structure business?
- 1:04:27Speaker 5: I love car business. I do. That's one of my
- 1:04:30Speaker 5: favorite things in the world. Man, I love him.
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: How do you feel about the NBA's business structure?
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: Like?
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: There's not enough in my opinion, GMS it's they're making
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: more headway, but it's still a long way to go
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: as far as GM's general managers, front office, let alone ownership.
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: That's a whole different conversation. But how do you feel
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: about the business structure of the NBA relative to the
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: players being almost all black?
- 1:04:59Speaker 9: And what are the general managers going to do different
- 1:05:02Speaker 9: being black if they were white? Elgend Bala was God
- 1:05:07Speaker 9: rest is soul, the original Duces was a general manager
- 1:05:12Speaker 9: for the Clippers for the Clippers with Stern and told
- 1:05:16Speaker 9: everybody how racist he was and lost his job. Right,
- 1:05:21Speaker 9: it's a look, but you're going to have to call
- 1:05:24Speaker 9: the owner and ask for certain My boy Lance Blanks
- 1:05:28Speaker 9: play with me. Was doing something in basketball. Joe Dumars
- 1:05:32Speaker 9: is in Sacramento. There's like four or five others. It's
- 1:05:37Speaker 9: it's when we say we don't want things, and I'm
- 1:05:40Speaker 9: gonna get ridiculed for this. We said we don't want
- 1:05:42Speaker 9: things based on race, but then when we want things,
- 1:05:44Speaker 9: we base our race.
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: We use our race.
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: Right, explain to explain that.
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: So, man, you know.
- 1:05:53Speaker 9: They should be doing it, but you know, because they're
- 1:05:56Speaker 9: racist now, they may be prejudiced. You know, they may
- 1:05:59Speaker 9: pre judge and don't think you're going to do a
- 1:06:01Speaker 9: good job. But not not now because they don't think
- 1:06:04Speaker 9: black people can't lead a team. It's just there's more
- 1:06:09Speaker 9: people saying I want to do this, and they're in
- 1:06:12Speaker 9: a position. Remember a lot of things have nepotism, a
- 1:06:15Speaker 9: lot of things have who you know, how you know
- 1:06:18Speaker 9: which way you know it? Remember Steve Kerr was doing
- 1:06:23Speaker 9: he was an announcer. Next you know, he was the
- 1:06:25Speaker 9: head coach, and GM and GM, and they made GM first.
- 1:06:30Speaker 9: Then they made Mark Jackson an announcer. Yeah, there's a
- 1:06:35Speaker 9: trip right right, And and are you looking at that
- 1:06:41Speaker 9: as color? Are you looking at that as who you wanted?
- 1:06:45Speaker 9: You had better leadership? You have a guy who has
- 1:06:49Speaker 9: three championships and putting in a system and guys are
- 1:06:56Speaker 9: more not even gonna say relatable. Certain guys you relate
- 1:07:01Speaker 9: too much to. You treat him like your friend as
- 1:07:03Speaker 9: opposed to authority figure. I think the NBA is a
- 1:07:09Speaker 9: is a great move on what they're doing in all
- 1:07:12Speaker 9: of their race relations, way better than any other sport.
- 1:07:16Speaker 5: So if you you got the chops, you're going to
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: get the job. It's they'll move you in that position.
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: If you got the chops, you're going to get the job.
- 1:07:25Speaker 9: Most of the time, there's a lot of shadiness thinking
- 1:07:28Speaker 9: no one even knew that you can.
- 1:07:29Speaker 5: Trade a coach.
- 1:07:30Speaker 9: They traded Doc Rivers from the Clip from the Celtics
- 1:07:33Speaker 9: to the Clipper, a coach.
- 1:07:35Speaker 5: They traded the coach. Yeah, and no one cared.
- 1:07:41Speaker 9: I was like, but then he came here and now
- 1:07:43Speaker 9: they traded him to Philadelphia and he has the power
- 1:07:46Speaker 9: in Philadelphia.
- 1:07:49Speaker 5: It all trusts me out.
- 1:07:50Speaker 9: What I think is that we should start a league
- 1:07:54Speaker 9: in Ghana, Kenya, you, Ganda, we should do a lead
- 1:07:59Speaker 9: in Africa.
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: Well, how do you feel about that? Well, I'm glad
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: you said that NBA Africa. You're up on that, right,
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: familiar with that. Yeah, A lot of people were tremendously
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: disappointed with that because they're like, there's no NBA Europe.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: Europe has its own LEA, There's no NBA China, China
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: has its own leak. So why does Africa allow the
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: NBA to have NBA Africa when the Africans just developed
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: their own league in Africa like every other continent has.
- 1:08:24Speaker 9: Yeah, it's because the It's like, I'm gonna give you
- 1:08:30Speaker 9: a really good excuse or really good answer. Every artist,
- 1:08:35Speaker 9: recording artists should go so should should go independent? Why
- 1:08:40Speaker 9: would they sign with Atlantic? Atlantic literally has more outreach,
- 1:08:45Speaker 9: more and more experience uh more identified uh uh identifiable.
- 1:08:53Speaker 9: I think I said that word right too. They've already
- 1:08:56Speaker 9: established they have a connection. It's like almost pipeline to
- 1:09:00Speaker 9: the big show. The big show is the NBA. Never
- 1:09:03Speaker 9: let anybody tell you the European I played in Greece
- 1:09:06Speaker 9: for six weeks. It was a great experience. But we
- 1:09:11Speaker 9: still went to a place where they had one shower
- 1:09:14Speaker 9: and it was a hole coming out of the wall,
- 1:09:16Speaker 9: and they still like had riot police at the game.
- 1:09:19Speaker 9: So I mean it was trip. It wasn't like the NBA.
- 1:09:23Speaker 9: The NBA is the crem Dela Krim. So with the
- 1:09:27Speaker 9: NBA doing it, the NBA did that is because they
- 1:09:30Speaker 9: want the pipeline. So they went in and they made
- 1:09:33Speaker 9: it a pipeline. So you're going to get more Giannis,
- 1:09:38Speaker 9: You're gonna get more and more Tumbo's. You're going to
- 1:09:40Speaker 9: get them. Yeah, you're going to get more because it's
- 1:09:44Speaker 9: trained there. They're ready bring him to the show. And
- 1:09:47Speaker 9: the NBA did it like like they did with Remination
- 1:09:50Speaker 9: to call it the d Lead, which was a dumb name.
- 1:09:53Speaker 9: Now it's the g Lead. I said it was a
- 1:09:55Speaker 9: dumb name when they came out with the d LEA
- 1:09:56Speaker 9: don't leave for dummies. Don't do that, like make it
- 1:10:00Speaker 9: something else, make it like some gangster league some shit, right,
- 1:10:06Speaker 9: But I think it was a smart thing because the
- 1:10:09Speaker 9: NBA in Europe, you can only have two Americans on
- 1:10:12Speaker 9: your team, right, but you can have as many Europeans
- 1:10:15Speaker 9: on the team as you want.
- 1:10:17Speaker 5: It's crazy. It was a crazy attitude.
- 1:10:20Speaker 9: It wasn't only two black Eyes, two Americans, because you
- 1:10:23Speaker 9: guys are going to change the dynamic of what we're
- 1:10:25Speaker 9: trying to do here in Europe. Argentina playing down in
- 1:10:30Speaker 9: Argentina with Ginobli, it was one of the best players
- 1:10:34Speaker 9: I've seen in my life. He's ever, I've seen everybody.
- 1:10:39Speaker 9: One of my favorites of all time. Oh yeah, ever.
- 1:10:42Speaker 9: And I don't watch basketball until it's playoff time because
- 1:10:45Speaker 9: that's when I get paid to do podcasts, except this one.
- 1:10:59Speaker 5: All the same.
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: You show the Steve Court two championships, he said, as
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: a player, Yeah fine, as a player, yeah three with
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: the Bulls too.
- 1:11:07Speaker 9: The Spurs, Oh that's right. He did go to the
- 1:11:10Speaker 9: Spurs got lost though. Like give you example. One of
- 1:11:18Speaker 9: my one of my favorite coaches is Greg Popovich and
- 1:11:21Speaker 9: I've never played for Greg Papovich. And when I was
- 1:11:24Speaker 9: in the Wine, I just wanted to send him wine.
- 1:11:27Speaker 9: I just I just it just reminded me of a
- 1:11:30Speaker 9: guy you want to play with. And this is why
- 1:11:32Speaker 9: you do something to great propa. But just look at
- 1:11:33Speaker 9: you like, and you know what he's saying. You know
- 1:11:37Speaker 9: what he's saying just from looking at you. It's like
- 1:11:41Speaker 9: you look at you again and then boom bom boom
- 1:11:43Speaker 9: he goes whatever, and he'll look at you. He goes,
- 1:11:45Speaker 9: are you ready now? And I see him say that
- 1:11:47Speaker 9: to a player and be like, yea, all right he said,
- 1:11:49Speaker 9: no serious, are you ready now?
- 1:11:50Speaker 5: He's all right? Such and such.
- 1:11:51Speaker 9: That's a confidence builder. That yelling at you, screaming at you,
- 1:11:54Speaker 9: pointing at the court. You get kicked in the face
- 1:11:57Speaker 9: the wrong time, or yeah, like you know the ball,
- 1:12:02Speaker 9: you throw the ball like you're thrown out around really
- 1:12:04Speaker 9: throwing it at your coach or choked like the yeah
- 1:12:07Speaker 9: man shout like aj Pj's beard come all the way
- 1:12:15Speaker 9: down to here.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: Now you need a cushion it for that.
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: Differently, that was.
- 1:12:21Speaker 5: Differently, yeah, differently, different times.
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: It's been a very enjoyable conversation, brother. I appreciate it. Yeah, man,
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: what do you what are you working on? Obviously you
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: know you spoke about the CBD and the restaurant. What
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: would you like to tell the people. What can they
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: look forward to seeing more of you? How can they
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: find out information on your business endeavors all of that.
- 1:12:41Speaker 9: Well, you can go to John Sally dot com s
- 1:12:43Speaker 9: A L L E Y. But I got Better Life
- 1:12:45Speaker 9: Products dot com. So I'm literally Sally. My new product
- 1:12:50Speaker 9: is called Better Belly, which literally helps. It's sixteen different
- 1:12:53Speaker 9: mushrooms that help eliminate toxins from your low intestine. Better Belly,
- 1:12:59Speaker 9: Better be e T t A.
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: It makes your belly go low.
- 1:13:02Speaker 5: Literally for yours that don't know that. The cameraman is
- 1:13:08Speaker 5: over the sitting there saying ho ho ho, he just
- 1:13:12Speaker 5: don't happen.
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: Rare.
- 1:13:13Speaker 5: Oh my god, get in my belly. It literally flattens.
- 1:13:20Speaker 9: So I tell people your stomach is here, well, this
- 1:13:23Speaker 9: is your heart. More this way, and your stomach is
- 1:13:25Speaker 9: right here. This is your lower intestine. So when you
- 1:13:28Speaker 9: got a belly, you having flamed low intestines, you have
- 1:13:32Speaker 9: about twenty pounds of unprocessed feces or unprocessed food.
- 1:13:38Speaker 5: This Better Belly is.
- 1:13:39Speaker 9: Like a roller ruder, but it doesn't give you die Rare.
- 1:13:42Speaker 9: It literally capsulates it and.
- 1:13:44Speaker 5: In six hours you will go.
- 1:13:45Speaker 9: So we we put you on for five days on,
- 1:13:48Speaker 9: two days off, five days on to day.
- 1:13:50Speaker 5: It's a twenty two day program.
- 1:13:52Speaker 9: I know, it sounds crazy, like you know, so what
- 1:13:56Speaker 9: happened is that you take it before nine thirty at
- 1:13:58Speaker 9: night and sixteen ounces of water and in the morning.
- 1:14:03Speaker 9: I always teach people when you get up, you wake
- 1:14:05Speaker 9: up on your right side. It sounds crazy. So all
- 1:14:08Speaker 9: you've been have you're sleeping on the bed. Sleep on
- 1:14:11Speaker 9: the right side, even though you might like lean it
- 1:14:13Speaker 9: on this side, get up this one and you get up,
- 1:14:16Speaker 9: You sit up, you grab the water that you put
- 1:14:17Speaker 9: there because you know you got to pee and you
- 1:14:19Speaker 9: gotta go to bathroom real bad as opposed to jumping
- 1:14:21Speaker 9: up and going to bathroom, drink that water on the
- 1:14:23Speaker 9: way to pee, putting gas back in your locomotive, and
- 1:14:27Speaker 9: you're putting weight on it, and you're gonna move out.
- 1:14:29Speaker 5: You're gonna feel everyone.
- 1:14:31Speaker 9: I have testimony for women who have lost forty pounds
- 1:14:34Speaker 9: who literally had crazy problems in their bodies.
- 1:14:39Speaker 5: And it's spelled b E T t A.
- 1:14:41Speaker 9: It's like spike did no Better so stands for better
- 1:14:45Speaker 9: eating today tomorrow always, so it's better belly. So it's
- 1:14:49Speaker 9: really just a system that I'm helping people move into.
- 1:14:54Speaker 9: I was on a radio and doctor Sabe called me, said,
- 1:14:56Speaker 9: I hear you talking his health things. You don't know
- 1:14:58Speaker 9: anything out. It was like sixteen years ago. I was like, well,
- 1:15:01Speaker 9: come on, come on the show and talk about what
- 1:15:05Speaker 9: I'm not doing, not understanding that he didn't realize I
- 1:15:07Speaker 9: filmed this is how far for ten years. I've been
- 1:15:11Speaker 9: five years ahead of myself. Not bragging, but I filmed
- 1:15:13Speaker 9: for ten years. You've been five years out of you. Yeah,
- 1:15:16Speaker 9: you'll figure out.
- 1:15:17Speaker 5: I got the math on that. Yeah, I've been, I've been.
- 1:15:20Speaker 5: I've been so far. Yeah, back to the future. I filmed.
- 1:15:25Speaker 9: I filmed all my interviews on radio Ananda Lewis and
- 1:15:28Speaker 9: I. I had John Sally block party, I took over with
- 1:15:30Speaker 9: Steve Harvey. I filmed everybody. I got Coco iced Tea, Kanye,
- 1:15:36Speaker 9: John Legend, Pharrell, anybody, Mariah Carey, everybody that came on.
- 1:15:42Speaker 9: I filmed them, and they were like, we never saw this,
- 1:15:44Speaker 9: No one was doing it.
- 1:15:46Speaker 5: Nobody.
- 1:15:47Speaker 9: I did exactly what the Breakfast Club was doing, because
- 1:15:50Speaker 9: when you watch it, it's a better it's a better show.
- 1:15:53Speaker 9: So I literally found this I have. I did six
- 1:15:56Speaker 9: months of tapes too, and I taped every day. I
- 1:16:00Speaker 9: had the stationed by the cameras and I never return them.
- 1:16:03Speaker 5: But they just disappeared to the collection.
- 1:16:06Speaker 9: Yeah you know, I did. I have three beautiful cameras
- 1:16:09Speaker 9: that have DV tapes. Well, I said, So that's why
- 1:16:16Speaker 9: when I realized that more people would listen to me
- 1:16:19Speaker 9: when on Thursday I would have psychiatry psychics come on,
- 1:16:23Speaker 9: my numbers went through the roof. And then Chris Tucker
- 1:16:26Speaker 9: called it, Man, you can't be doing all that demonized things.
- 1:16:29Speaker 9: I said, you mean like the profits in the Bible.
- 1:16:32Speaker 9: But anyway, I don't want to get into that. What
- 1:16:37Speaker 9: I did is I realized when I talk health, then
- 1:16:40Speaker 9: that was going to be my focus. I saw realizing
- 1:16:42Speaker 9: what do I want to do? Right, you say, earn
- 1:16:45Speaker 9: your leisure, which is a great thing. I want to
- 1:16:48Speaker 9: not ever work and make money. And how do you
- 1:16:52Speaker 9: do that is you do the things you love to
- 1:16:54Speaker 9: do and it makes your money. So me helping people
- 1:16:59Speaker 9: realize how to treat the avatar, not just polish your
- 1:17:02Speaker 9: car and put armorole on the wheels and an inside.
- 1:17:05Speaker 9: Do the same way you treat your car and inanimate
- 1:17:08Speaker 9: objects that you love. Treat your body the same way.
- 1:17:11Speaker 9: So that's why I said it had to be better.
- 1:17:13Speaker 9: We had to be more better. But I couldn't say
- 1:17:14Speaker 9: mo better because then Spike would have sued me. You know,
- 1:17:18Speaker 9: he's good with the lawyers. Now, he wouldn't have said anything.
- 1:17:21Speaker 9: But I just thought it was better to call it better.
- 1:17:24Speaker 9: And I say, your way of doing things may be good,
- 1:17:27Speaker 9: mine is better.
- 1:17:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:17:31Speaker 9: I know he's gonna he's gonna be one of my
- 1:17:32Speaker 9: first people that sit and say, uh yeah, I got
- 1:17:37Speaker 9: this all laid out, I tell you. And it works
- 1:17:40Speaker 9: on men as well as women, which is a very
- 1:17:42Speaker 9: rare product, and it's the best thing. It gets rid
- 1:17:45Speaker 9: of acne, back pain, knee pain, and people are saying
- 1:17:50Speaker 9: why because it's helped move all the all the uric
- 1:17:53Speaker 9: acid out of your body.
- 1:17:56Speaker 3: There you have it, ladies, John Sally, it's been a pleasure.
- 1:17:59Speaker 5: My brother Man, I was in health science. Man. I
- 1:18:02Speaker 5: was oh really yeah, yeah, I felt like I was
- 1:18:04Speaker 5: back in class. Just yeah, you still play?
- 1:18:06Speaker 9: Well, No, if you throw a basketball at me, I
- 1:18:09Speaker 9: will duck. And somebody said, hey, man, just play for fun.
- 1:18:15Speaker 9: I said, well, they stopped that in nineteen eighty two
- 1:18:17Speaker 9: when I got to Georgia Tech and I was like, yo,
- 1:18:20Speaker 9: where's the pickup games?
- 1:18:20Speaker 5: They looked at me as a pickup game and.
- 1:18:23Speaker 9: I went to see it and they were like, that kid,
- 1:18:25Speaker 9: don't have no reason to be on court. You got
- 1:18:28Speaker 9: every reason to be on court. So I had to
- 1:18:30Speaker 9: learn not to play for fun anymore. I was at
- 1:18:34Speaker 9: Cedric's house for barbecue. Cedrict Entertainer and this young kid.
- 1:18:38Speaker 9: They were like, this kid is nice. I was like, yo, dog,
- 1:18:40Speaker 9: I'm the defensive man of the world, and he's shooky,
- 1:18:43Speaker 9: shitky shiky and went left and he went by me
- 1:18:48Speaker 9: so fast. I had to look this way to see him,
- 1:18:51Speaker 9: like I would have had whiplash if I did that.
- 1:18:55Speaker 9: He went by me and my legs didn't move, and
- 1:18:58Speaker 9: I was like, how did it happened? They didn't even
- 1:19:01Speaker 9: move a little bit. They just were still in it.
- 1:19:03Speaker 9: He was buying me and I went and I looked
- 1:19:06Speaker 9: at me like, oh, I'm done, so Exa'm gonna need
- 1:19:09Speaker 9: some CBD for that.
- 1:19:10Speaker 5: I did, man.
- 1:19:12Speaker 9: I did a birpany and told my maniscos and I
- 1:19:14Speaker 9: was like, yeah, I'm not I'm not in this all right,
- 1:19:16Speaker 9: thanks man.
