  Quick update after my sabbatical, I've been thinking

  brought on a team which was Carly and Aaron and a few other

  people behind the scenes to help with podcast production.

  That's didn't work out. It's not going to continue

  moving forward as the podcast itself.

  I'm going to continue to produce content upon my Annunciation of

  the sabbatical. There was a handful of people
• 1:06
  that decided not to support us anymore monthly, which is
• 1:09
  totally fine. You guys have that decision at
• 1:12
  any time to support us for the 999 or not support us.

  I don't want you supporting me if you think I need to feed you
• 1:20
  content on a weekly basis. I want to get some things clear.

  The reason I asked for people to help me keep the lights on is
• 1:28
  because of the time and the equipment and the entirety of
• 1:32
  the investment into running this project.

  The MMS does require a good bit of time, effort, talent, and
• 1:41
  money to keep going, so a lot of people had left once I announced

  I was on a sabbatical. I guess they felt like they're
• 1:48
  entitled to a certain amount of content per week.

  To be honest with you, for $10 a month, I was doing 2 episodes a

  week. If you think that's the value of
• 1:58
  my work, then I don't want you to pay me for what you think the
• 2:01
  value is. I'd rather you leave.

  I'm not here to make money. If you believe in what I'm doing

  and you'd like to help me keep the lights on, that is the

  I'm not going to have any more Co hosts moving forward.

  I'm putting some emphasis on round tables, which means I've

  talked privately and I already have content coming out that's

  scheduled for Tri cast with like two other shows, for example, a

  swap cast, right, like the minis with Pete from over the days of

  Noah. We just did two different minis

  this morning. Today is October 18th, for

  example. And so I plan on continuing to

  do all that stuff. But as far as, you know, the

  future of the show, I don't know how long it's going to go on

  for. I just, I'm going to try my best

  to stay faithful with what I've been given, which is a voice and
• 3:39
  a mind, to think critically and freely and to challenge the
• 3:43
  narrative and to capture the growth journey.

  As long as that is the theme, I'm going to continue to do the

  show until God tells me to do something else or to stop
• 3:53
  outright. And that's just the way things

  are going to look. Music has been incorporated.

  And recently I've been doing like poetic speech.

  I've released my first song available on all music platforms

  called Trauma Cycles. My music name is H Rod X, but

  it's just supposed to be Rod. The H is known as like the
• 4:16
  spirit, right? So Abraham, Right, Sarah, they
• 4:22
  were Abram and Sarah Pryor and the H gets inserted that took I
• 4:27
  mean, I sat with the Lord and was like, listen, my name is
• 4:30
  Rod. I looked at the ancient concepts
• 4:32
  of my name, what it meant, you know, biblically what it meant
• 4:36
  in the old English, all these different things.
• 4:38
  The only thing I could think of is that God is in my life, that
• 4:42
  he's the reason that I'm still alive, that I'm still breathing.

  And if I can represent that, at least at first glance, of
• 4:49
  course, there's always a deeper, more thorough story with Rod.

  Everything's multi layered, but the X just means forever
• 4:58
  eternal. So I've been releasing music.

  There's other projects that I'm working on, other people that
• 5:02
  I'm collaborating with. I love this podcast.

  I love what the MMS has done. Man, I literally sat and
• 5:10
  reflected on some of the deep heartthrob episodes.

  They're typically not the ones that get the most downloads
• 5:16
  either. They're the emotional, raw,
• 5:18
  gritty storytelling overcomer underdog stories.
• 5:22
  I love that stuff, but I I love all the content that I've been
• 5:27
  able to create just because I've learned from it.

  And whether all of the information on the show is right
• 5:32
  or not, I would disagree. As the producer, I would say
• 5:36
  there's a lot that I don't believe in over the years that's
• 5:39
  been broadcasted on my show that's made me a little bit
• 5:42
  weary, you know, should I go back and delete it?
• 5:44
  And then I'm like, no, that's disingenuine.
• 5:46
  Just let it stand and make a declaration that you don't
• 5:49
  necessarily believe in that. I think it's kind of cowardice
• 5:51
  to go back and try to hide your tracks.
• 5:54
  So I've been trying to be transparent about that.
• 5:57
  As I've told many of you out there.

  And for my private circle, you guys know I I'm not a good

  person to follow. I don't always have the best

  answers. I don't always know the reality

  of what's going on. All's I know is that God is
• 6:09
  good. I once was dead, now I'm alive

  and that we're living in a war zone and that deception is
• 6:15
  running rampant. These are like factual things
• 6:17
  that I know unarguables for me, you know, as far as reptilians
• 6:21
  living under Los Angeles, I don't freaking know.

  Probably, but I don't know. And so I really am trying to
• 6:28
  simplify and redirect a little bit of the content on the show.

  I'm looking more to have hermeneutical hygiene.

  I feel like there's so many people out there talking about
• 6:36
  the Bible. Everybody wants to be a
• 6:39
  Christian all of a sudden and most people want to be French
• 6:41
  Christians when four years ago it was not cool at all to be a
• 6:45
  French Christian. The, the very people that were
• 6:47
  using their platforms to say, if you didn't take the jab and
• 6:50
  you're an idiot and you got grandma sick from all the COVID
• 6:53
  stuff. Half of those people are now all
• 6:55
  of a sudden French Christians. And I've watched this
• 6:58
  transformation publicly with a lot of people and I just, I
• 7:01
  don't not buying all of it, sorry.

  But hermeneutical hygiene is really important to me, which
• 7:07
  means we need to get back into what are we talking about?

  We, we throw around Bible verses, you know, there's
• 7:14
  pastors, there's these men of God that are just thrown around
• 7:17
  Bible verses all the time. And it's like, what do you
• 7:19
  actually mean when you actually sit and try to be thorough?

  There's, there's actually a lot of confusion on the transparency
• 7:26
  of what people say they believe. I believe that a religious
• 7:29
  spirit personally is working through many individuals, but I
• 7:32
  love the bride. So let's discuss the
• 7:34
  contradiction here, because I want to make sure at least at
• 7:38
  minimum, that for my sake, I have a correct biblical
• 7:42
  approach, actually know what's going on.

  I'm willing to spend another 10 years sitting quietly in the
• 7:48
  background studying and showing myself approved.
• 7:52
  I mean, that's what I did for 10 years before the show was ever
• 7:55
  invented, before it was popular, before it was cool or cute to

  do, you know, Instagram reels or memes on Christianity.

  I did it every Friday and Saturday night and every week
• 8:06
  and every morning. I was relentlessly studying the
• 8:10
  Bible, being rejected by my worldly, quote UN quote, worldly
• 8:14
  previous friends that dumped me because I wouldn't do the things
• 8:18
  I did prior. Listen, I'm I'm OK with all
• 8:20
  that. And I think that there's more
• 8:22
  out there. There's more of you out there
• 8:24
  like me that are actually hearing me speak on this one
• 8:26
  today and agreeing with me. We're not doing this because
• 8:31
  it's popular or cool. Check the track record doing
• 8:35
  this because Jesus is Lord and we're living in deception and
• 8:39
  people are going to hell and we need to have an answer and we
• 8:42
  need to be bold and righteous as we're called to be.
• 8:46
  That's why I'm doing it. I don't want to lose sight of
• 8:49
  that. So as far as all the different
• 8:53
  things going on, here's an update from Rod.

  My personal life is chaotic. I'm not going to get into
• 8:59
  details because none of you need to know that.

  I think all of our personal lives are chaotic.

  My God, now that I think about it, almost every person I talk
• 9:06
  with has some chaotic thing going on.

  I don't want to highlight that. What I want to highlight is I'm
• 9:12
  not confused. Fruit of the of the Holy Spirit.
• 9:17
  The fruit that God gives us is when things are going wrong,
• 9:20
  when everyone's stabbing you in the back, when the tables are
• 9:23
  getting flipped in your life and it seems like you don't know
• 9:25
  what to make of the next season or what tomorrow morning looks
• 9:28
  like. You having patience and love and
• 9:30
  kindness and gentleness, that's the seal of the Holy Spirit on
• 9:34
  you. That's fruit in the midst of
• 9:35
  tragedy. I I don't believe fruit is
• 9:40
  measured, at least not accurately.
• 9:42
  When everything's going right in your life.
• 9:44
  If everything's happy and you're well paid and there's no issues
• 9:48
  and you have a beautiful, lovely family that never challenges
• 9:51
  you, you have no enemies of your own household.
• 9:53
  You have no enemies of your own company that you built.
• 9:55
  You have no enemies of the world around you.
• 9:58
  How can you actually measure what kind of man you are and if

  you actually have fruit? Great question.

  Most people don't want to ask that question because if you

  really ask that question is it If you really pray and ask God

  to give you fruit and to show you and to to press you through
• 10:15
  and to lead you in the way everlasting and to expose all of
• 10:18
  the things wrong with you. It's horrific.

  If you're not real and really about that life.

  I don't recommend it if you're 1/2 stepper.

  I think I used to be 1/2 stepper.

  I think I'm stepping a little bit better now because I've
• 10:33
  through trauma and through hardships and deprivations that
• 10:36
  are unspeakable and some that I'm willing to talk about.

  I've learned that my God, this is not for the faint hearted,
• 10:43
  but it's worth it. It's going to be worth it in the
• 10:46
  end. So the reason I'm bringing this
• 10:48
  up is because there's been some public slanders about me, which
• 10:52
  is that's happened over the last six years.
• 10:55
  But I just want to say I see you, I see what kind of fruit
• 10:59
  you have. But I also have came to my
• 11:03
  father and said, Lord, what kind of fruit am I going to have if
• 11:07
  people are throwing dirt on my name and people are abandoning
• 11:12
  me? You know, there's been a season
• 11:13
  over the last like year and a half, you guys don't know this,
• 11:16
  but there's a couple people in my, my close circle that ended
• 11:18
  up stabbing me in the back and, and doing me dirty.
• 11:21
  And, you know, I think that started about a year and a half
• 11:25
  ago, a year ago. And I was like, God showed me it
• 11:27
  before it came. And I was like, that's cool.
• 11:29
  I'm good with it. Like I'm not going to disrespect
• 11:31
  them. I'm not going to dishonor them
• 11:33
  and I'm not going to talk bad or have any ill will for them.
• 11:36
  And I, and I've kept that true until this day.

  And there's seasons where people are going to do you wrong.

  You know, I remember when I interviewed with Dan early on
• 11:45
  and he was like, I wrote this book called Church hurt.

  And he was like, Ah, later in life he's like, Oh, that's cute.

  Expect that if you if you going for God, people are just going
• 11:54
  to turn up on you. They're going to flip the script
• 11:56
  on you and act. You're going to get all types of
• 11:58
  different weird stuff that's going to happen to you.

  I guess you could say I'm in the middle of kind of experiencing
• 12:04
  that. I was very surprised and hurt in
• 12:06
  the beginning, but now I'm like, yeah, why actually would it be
• 12:10
  any other way? So I'm not expecting more people
• 12:14
  to turn their back on me. But I wouldn't put it past
• 12:17
  people either. I wouldn't put it past people,
• 12:20
  even the the job that I had prior, there was just so many
• 12:23
  fake, fake people that said that there were Christians there,
• 12:26
  that they're just so in the world at large, the church at
• 12:30
  large, there's so many people that are coming and saying I'm a
• 12:33
  Christian. Look at me, right?
• 12:34
  They want you to like, it's like they want you to see a light or
• 12:38
  appear that they have a light without them actually just
• 12:41
  having raw grit and doing the right thing and being decent and
• 12:45
  genuine regardless. And that to me is like, I'm
• 12:49
  really watching and learning that as the years go on.

  Like, man, there's a lot of fake people out here.
• 12:53
  And so I'm probably fake to other people.
• 12:56
  So I can't be mad at you if, if you don't like me, if you're
• 12:59
  listening to this and you don't like what I do or what I'm

  saying, that's totally fine. But if you love me, because
• 13:06
  liking and loving are two different things.

  If you, if you're a believer, we're called to love each other
• 13:11
  and that's where we need to bear each other's burdens.

  That's where we need to, you know, let the word of God be

  super lative over our opinions or our emotions, which are
• 13:19
  changing like the weather, right?

  You can know what season you're in, but you have no idea if it's

  going to rain or not. Fun fact to consider, I'm going

  to wind down just saying I've failed forward.

  The Bible says a righteous man falleth 7 times but he get back

  up and it's by the grace of God and by the heavenly scrolls that
• 13:47
  I've gotten back up through my failures.

  That's a fact. I have no record.

  I'm not going to sit here and talk about all the victories and
• 13:58
  the great things I did. There's temptation there, but

  I'm unworthy of all of it. Zero.

  I will talk about my struggles, my learning curve, how I've been
• 14:10
  wrong. I think I'll highlight that.

  I'll be the guy who sits in the back corner and says I'm not

  afraid to talk about what I did wrong and what it's cost me and

  what I've learned out of it. Because if for some reason you
• 14:26
  as the listener think that I'm a role model or that I'm like
• 14:30
  somebody that has an authoritative voice, then I must
• 14:35
  lead by example. If you think I'm a fool and I'm
• 14:39
  unworthy, then this should be the last time that you hear my
• 14:44
  voice. Unless you find it that you
• 14:46
  can't help, but you keep coming back for more.

  So the Lord executes righteousness and justice for

  all who are oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses,

  His acts to the children of Israel.

  The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and

  abounding in mercy. He will not always strive with
• 15:14
  us, nor will He keep His anger forever.

  He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor

  punished us according to our iniquities.

  Thank God for his mercy and that Jesus himself took upon his own
