- 1:29Speaker 4: Son of a Boyda is brought to you by High Noon.
- 1:32Speaker 4: We are in that last sweet spot of summer, trying
- 1:35Speaker 4: to squeeze out every last drop that we can. And
- 1:39Speaker 4: there is no better way to do that than with
- 1:41Speaker 4: the help of delicious High Noon.
- 1:43Speaker 1: There's also two good weeks left of summer.
- 1:46Speaker 4: There are.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Let's be honest with ourselves. And High Noon, to me,
- 1:50Speaker 1: is the apex tailgate drink. Because if you're tailgating, you
- 1:54Speaker 1: don't want the after or side effects of things like malt.
- 1:58Speaker 5: No.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Coming with you into the game, going into a stadium
- 2:01Speaker 1: with malt. That sounds terrible to me.
- 2:04Speaker 4: That chemically aftertaste that is just so gross and sort
- 2:08Speaker 4: of lingers on the mouth for a long time.
- 2:10Speaker 1: High noon, real fruit juice, sparkling water, natural flavors. I
- 2:13Speaker 1: got the tequila.
- 2:15Speaker 4: I got the vodka. We got it right this time.
- 2:17Speaker 4: This is the pineapple. And of course, if you are
- 2:20Speaker 4: a single flavor lover like I am, they now come
- 2:24Speaker 4: in full boxes of just that one flavor. So you
- 2:26Speaker 4: don't have to fight through ones you don't want.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Tequila seltzer is my go-to, but every single time high
- 2:32Speaker 1: noon is going to be a win. Make sure you
- 2:33Speaker 1: get them winter, spring, summer, fall. It doesn't matter. High
- 2:37Speaker 1: noon is your drink.
- 2:38Speaker 4: I am a peach high noon drinker myself, and it
- 2:42Speaker 4: comes in its own single flavor aid pack. And make
- 2:45Speaker 4: sure to visit highnoon.com. Spirits.com to find High Noon near you.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Now let's get into the show. I'm ready to go.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I just have this oatmeal I'm snacking on.
- 2:59Speaker 5: Yeah. All right. All righty. Welcome back to the Son
- 3:07Speaker 5: of a Boy Dad podcast. Today it is, is it
- 3:11Speaker 5: September 1st or is it August 31st? August 31st. It
- 3:14Speaker 5: is August 31st.
- 3:16Speaker 1: August 31st for us. Stuck in the past. It's a
- 3:21Speaker 1: tragedy off this morning.
- 3:22Speaker 5: It's a tragedy off.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Two tragic mornings from these two men.
- 3:25Speaker 5: Two tragic mornings. Tragic. Mine's really not. Tragic was the
- 3:30Speaker 5: wrong word. I mean, it was a bad... Like, it
- 3:32Speaker 5: wasn't a bad... It was more just, like, funny. Like, how, like...
- 3:35Speaker 5: I mean, I'll get right into it. I was away
- 3:37Speaker 5: this weekend, and I had a rental car. Where'd you go?
- 3:41Speaker 5: I was up in... I was out in Pennsylvania, and
- 3:43Speaker 5: I had a rental car, and I... I was driving
- 3:47Speaker 5: back yesterday and I had a show at SESH. I
- 3:49Speaker 5: was doing Lev's show. And I was like, I don't
- 3:53Speaker 5: have time to bring the car back and all this shit.
- 3:55Speaker 5: So I was like, I'm just going to extend it,
- 3:56Speaker 5: bring it back in the morning. So I parked it
- 3:58Speaker 5: in my right. I have a parking lot in my building,
- 4:02Speaker 5: like behind my building. And I parked it there overnight.
- 4:06Speaker 5: And then this morning I was like, you know, I
- 4:08Speaker 5: got ready, whatever, went outside to get it. And there's
- 4:10Speaker 5: a boot. There's a boot. there's a boot a boot
- 4:15Speaker 5: on the car and there's like a crowd of people
- 4:19Speaker 5: around it and i looked at it and immediately just
- 4:21Speaker 5: turned around and i was like i'm just gonna uber
- 4:24Speaker 5: to work and i'll figure this out later and right
- 4:26Speaker 5: when i turn around someone goes yo is this your
- 4:28Speaker 5: car and i was like fuck and i was like
- 4:31Speaker 5: yeah and they were like you got to go to
- 4:33Speaker 5: like the office like the landlord's office and and they'll
- 4:36Speaker 5: figure it out so i go in there The lady
- 4:38Speaker 5: at the desk tells me to take a seat. So
- 4:40Speaker 5: I'm like, oh, I'm going to be going to jail.
- 4:45Speaker 5: And it ended up being nothing. Like the guy was like, yeah,
- 4:48Speaker 5: you got to pay to park there. Like even if
- 4:49Speaker 5: you live in the building, like they're paid spots. And
- 4:51Speaker 5: I was like, all right. And he was like, I'll
- 4:52Speaker 5: let you off the hook, though. Like, no problem. And
- 4:54Speaker 5: I was like, cool.
- 4:56Speaker 1: So it was booted by the landlord.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Dude, that is such a overkill reaction for someone who
- 5:02Speaker 4: ultimately just let you off the hook.
- 5:04Speaker 5: Yeah. To put a boot on a car. It's crazy.
- 5:07Speaker 4: That's usually when it's like this car has been parked
- 5:09Speaker 4: illegally for 14 years it.
- 5:11Speaker 5: Was there for like 10 hours.
- 5:12Speaker 4: This has been fucking up alternate side street cleaning for
- 5:16Speaker 4: 14 years.
- 5:16Speaker 1: They don't make this model anymore.
- 5:17Speaker 4: Clearly the person has died or fled the country yeah.
- 5:20Speaker 5: It was pretty i was pretty shocked to see it
- 5:22Speaker 5: but um my only thing was like i assume he
- 5:25Speaker 5: must have thought it was like someone that doesn't live
- 5:27Speaker 5: in the building i see so maybe when he found
- 5:29Speaker 5: out i lived in the This really isn't much of
- 5:35Speaker 5: a tragedy.
- 5:37Speaker 4: So what it's worth, really quick, Harry comes in and
- 5:40Speaker 4: was like, I just had a tragedy of a morning.
- 5:43Speaker 5: And I was like, me too. Yeah.
- 5:46Speaker 1: And then I scaled it back.
- 5:46Speaker 4: And he was like, well, really, mine wasn't that bad.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Which is usually how things go around. Because I know
- 5:51Speaker 5: you took like a red eye and stuff, which automatically
- 5:54Speaker 5: is worse than mine. Yeah.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I really thought you guys were going to announce the
- 5:57Speaker 1: death of a living being.
- 5:59Speaker 5: No, no, no, no, no deaths. But so I get
- 6:02Speaker 5: he comes in, he gets the boot off. He's like,
- 6:04Speaker 5: you're good to go. I bring the car back to Hertz.
- 6:09Speaker 5: I was going I didn't change. I had to I
- 6:12Speaker 5: was supposed to drop the car off in Pennsylvania, which
- 6:15Speaker 5: I did not. And I went back and forth with
- 6:17Speaker 5: Hertz like a thousand times. I was like connected to
- 6:21Speaker 5: like a live agent on their like chat thing. And
- 6:24Speaker 5: I like caught them using, they were just using AI.
- 6:26Speaker 5: They left the prompt in like on the message. It says,
- 6:29Speaker 5: it said co-pilot says, and then it was a copy
- 6:32Speaker 5: and pasted message and they did it twice. And I
- 6:34Speaker 5: was like, who's, I was like, what's co-pilot? And they
- 6:36Speaker 5: were like, sorry, that was a typo. And then I,
- 6:38Speaker 5: so I just got bodied by them pretty much. Dropped
- 6:42Speaker 5: the car off. Not a big deal. I was kind
- 6:44Speaker 5: of sweating it. I thought I was going to pull
- 6:45Speaker 5: up and they were going to be like, nah, you can't.
- 6:47Speaker 5: But they were, they didn't care. Then I'm Ubering. to
- 6:52Speaker 5: the office from LaGuardia and I'm, I'm digging around my
- 6:56Speaker 5: pockets and I find the keys to the car. Oh no.
- 7:02Speaker 5: Oh no. And then I checked my email and they
- 7:04Speaker 5: charged me $ 500 for it. And then they called me
- 7:09Speaker 5: and they were like, I was like, I'm assuming this
- 7:11Speaker 5: is about the key. And I was like, I have it.
- 7:12Speaker 5: I'm going to bring it back. And they were like, yeah.
- 7:15Speaker 5: And I was like, can I bring it back in
- 7:16Speaker 5: like an hour or so? And they were like, could
- 7:18Speaker 5: you bring it back any sooner? And I was like, no,
- 7:21Speaker 5: I can't. So now they're like, yeah, you can still
- 7:23Speaker 5: bring it back. But I'm like, I was telling Tyler, like,
- 7:27Speaker 5: if they don't waive that charge, I'm keeping the key.
- 7:32Speaker 5: I'm not bringing it back and still getting charged. That's crazy.
- 7:37Speaker 1: That's my car too now.
- 7:39Speaker 5: Yeah. I mean, I literally, I'll just keep it. I'll
- 7:40Speaker 5: just hold it in my pocket.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Forever.
- 7:42Speaker 5: Yeah. I'll say I'm not. I mean, why would I,
- 7:44Speaker 5: if they're going to charge me $ 500.
- 7:45Speaker 1: You should put it on a necklace if it's going
- 7:47Speaker 1: to be $ 500.
- 7:48Speaker 5: Seriously.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Get it iced out.
- 7:50Speaker 5: But, yeah, that was pretty much it.
- 7:52Speaker 4: I don't disagree with that take, you know, at all.
- 7:55Speaker 5: Oh, no, yeah, it's crazy. I mean, but I'm assuming
- 7:57Speaker 5: they're going to, I don't think they're going to be like,
- 7:58Speaker 5: we're still charging.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Well, you need to make sure, though.
- 8:00Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, of course.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:02Speaker 5: I'm going to get it. I'll get the money back. Mm-hmm.
- 8:05Speaker 1: That's bad, though. I mean, I wonder if you can,
- 8:08Speaker 1: would that still work on that car?
- 8:10Speaker 5: I would assume so, yeah.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 8:12Speaker 4: Can you, I mean, I'm never mind. I'm not even
- 8:15Speaker 4: going to say anything.
- 8:16Speaker 1: No, I.
- 8:16Speaker 5: I was going to say, can you change the locks
- 8:19Speaker 5: on a car? I don't think. I don't think so.
- 8:21Speaker 4: To change the ignition and locks and all that.
- 8:25Speaker 5: Maybe with, was it one of the automatic?
- 8:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:28Speaker 4: So you just press the button. Maybe that's easier.
- 8:30Speaker 5: I feel like that would be harder. You know, I
- 8:33Speaker 5: can see one of these things right now.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Like I always play this out in my head now
- 8:36Speaker 4: where I'm like, yeah, that what I just said was
- 8:38Speaker 4: probably pretty stupid. And people will get on me and
- 8:41Speaker 4: be like, I can't believe Francis did thought you could
- 8:43Speaker 4: change the locks on the car to that. I would
- 8:45Speaker 4: say I've never worked in car locks before. I have
- 8:50Speaker 4: no experience working in the locking mechanisms of cars.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:54Speaker 5: That's just not something I did. Like if it's a button.
- 8:58Speaker 4: Do you remember, really quick, do you remember when I
- 9:01Speaker 4: was like, dude, I saw it in Palm Beach, all
- 9:05Speaker 4: these cars that were like sheriff's cars.
- 9:07Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 9:08Speaker 4: And I didn't know. I was like, they have so
- 9:10Speaker 4: many sheriffs down there.
- 9:11Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 9:11Speaker 4: And then everyone got on me about not knowing that
- 9:14Speaker 4: all these cop cars were part of the sheriff's department.
- 9:17Speaker 4: It's like, yeah, I've never been a cop. I've never
- 9:21Speaker 4: worked in law enforcement.
- 9:22Speaker 5: That's new. And by the way, cool. I was pleased
- 9:27Speaker 5: to learn pieces of that. Teach me.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Nor have you ever committed a crime that's warranted the
- 9:33Speaker 1: entire sheriff's department. Maybe one or two sheriff's departments, but
- 9:37Speaker 1: that could be a sheriff and a deputy.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Correct.
- 9:40Speaker 5: Yeah. Correct.
- 9:41Speaker 1: A bunch of sheriffs. You've never seen them all gather before.
- 9:44Speaker 5: I've never had a cop need backup for me.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Yeah, that's like seeing a flock of lions.
- 9:50Speaker 5: No one's ever.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Pulled me over and been like, I'm going to need
- 9:53Speaker 4: the sheriff's department.
- 9:55Speaker 5: No, no, never. I don't even know what you would
- 9:58Speaker 5: have to do to get the sheriff. Run.
- 10:02Speaker 1: You'd have to be a special kind of outlaw to
- 10:05Speaker 1: get a sheriff. I feel like sheriffs are only coming
- 10:06Speaker 1: for outlaws. Like bailiffs and sheriffs and shit like that.
- 10:10Speaker 1: That's old west shit.
- 10:11Speaker 5: Yeah. I saw a video of a dude on a
- 10:13Speaker 5: bike chase the other day. I don't know if it
- 10:15Speaker 5: was real or if it was AI, but someone dropped
- 10:17Speaker 5: off gas for him in the park. mid-chase and he's
- 10:21Speaker 5: like flying through the park and then he gets this
- 10:23Speaker 5: big jug of gas and starts pouring it in as
- 10:25Speaker 5: they're chasing him so that's pretty genius to be honest was.
- 10:28Speaker 1: He the guy who was on the phone for a
- 10:30Speaker 1: bunch of time i did see that guy as well
- 10:32Speaker 1: he was like calling everybody in his phone book probably
- 10:35Speaker 1: yeah asking for gas.
- 10:37Speaker 4: It's like something out of hunger games yeah like some
- 10:40Speaker 4: wealthy sponsor was like i've sent you some gas stay
- 10:44Speaker 4: alive as long as you can What were you saying?
- 10:46Speaker 4: I'm sorry for cutting you off.
- 10:47Speaker 5: No, no, that was really it. That was it. Okay.
- 10:49Speaker 5: That was the tragedy. I'll be honest. The real tragedy
- 10:52Speaker 5: is that I now have to go back to Hertz.
- 10:54Speaker 5: That's the tragedy.
- 10:55Speaker 4: But the silver lining is that you now live very
- 10:58Speaker 4: close to LaGuardia, so it's not that big of a deal.
- 11:02Speaker 5: It's going to add an extra 20.
- 11:04Speaker 1: I think the fact that there were two separate snafus,
- 11:07Speaker 1: both of which were your fault, but they weren't even
- 11:09Speaker 1: related to each other. The fact that you parked in
- 11:11Speaker 1: the wrong place and got booted, and then you left
- 11:14Speaker 1: with the key- eat your fault.
- 11:15Speaker 5: The key one's just so devastating.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Yeah but those are like that's that's tragic both of those.
- 11:20Speaker 5: I've never done that ever you've gotten boots i've never
- 11:24Speaker 5: gotten a boot either when i saw the boot my
- 11:27Speaker 5: initial reaction was like i'm gonna deal with this later
- 11:29Speaker 5: because this seems like it's gonna be a long process
- 11:35Speaker 5: like i was about to text you guys and be
- 11:36Speaker 5: like i'm fucked yeah Like, I'm not going to be
- 11:39Speaker 5: able to record until 8 p.m.
- 11:43Speaker 1: How did they know it was your car when you
- 11:45Speaker 1: turned away and you were like, I'll deal with this later.
- 11:47Speaker 1: And they're like, hey, is this your car?
- 11:49Speaker 5: Because they probably all know each other.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Or they saw you fucking hitting the button that was
- 11:55Speaker 1: bleeping in front of you.
- 11:56Speaker 5: I mean, the boot. Fuck. At least it wasn't like
- 11:59Speaker 5: a boot on the street. You're done. yeah you're gonna
- 12:03Speaker 5: wait like a couple business days to get that thing
- 12:05Speaker 5: removed you need to meet with the mayor yeah you.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Gotta get aoc on the line to come down with
- 12:13Speaker 4: some kind of like skeleton key in the name of communism.
- 12:18Speaker 5: You unlocked it quick i think i could have unlocked
- 12:20Speaker 5: it to be honest i think it was it might
- 12:22Speaker 5: have been like a fate it might have been for show.
- 12:26Speaker 1: She has a skeleton fertility jab that can unlock any
- 12:30Speaker 1: boot in the city. Have you seen now that they
- 12:32Speaker 1: replaced the boot with the, they'll put something on your windshield,
- 12:36Speaker 1: like a suction thing on your windshield. They like open
- 12:38Speaker 1: something up and it's suctions on your windshield. So you
- 12:41Speaker 1: can't see anything to drive around that.
- 12:44Speaker 5: Stick the head out the window.
- 12:50Speaker 4: Damn.
- 12:50Speaker 1: So Francis, what was your tragedy?
- 12:52Speaker 5: You're up.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Okay.
- 12:54Speaker 4: Well, that was pretty good. Pretty tragic.
- 12:56Speaker 5: Not tragic, but it's funny. It was kind of just
- 12:59Speaker 5: like I felt like I was in like a comedy movie. Yeah.
- 13:01Speaker 5: You know, like an Adam Sandler movie. Yeah. Yeah.
- 13:04Speaker 4: Series of unfortunate events.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Ben Stiller is scribbling notes listening to this podcast.
- 13:09Speaker 4: You know, I think I think in now that we
- 13:11Speaker 4: are in the sort of like that classic run up
- 13:14Speaker 4: to September 11th, we should do like a week of tragedies.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:18Speaker 4: To honor the ultimate.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:20Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:21Speaker 4: We've got like four episodes between now and the big one.
- 13:24Speaker 1: It's like Hanukkah for tragedies.
- 13:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Where it's like you don't get your best gift on
- 13:27Speaker 1: the first day.
- 13:28Speaker 5: Right.
- 13:29Speaker 4: Advent tragedies.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Yeah, you can open up a calendar every day and
- 13:33Speaker 1: it's like a small.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Oh, landslide in Pakistan.
- 13:39Speaker 5: 4,000 killed? We never even heard about this one.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Because we're hearing about the rental car tragedies.
- 13:44Speaker 4: Yeah, our tragedies. So my tragedy, so I was in...
- 13:49Speaker 4: I went to California for the weekend, which I don't
- 13:53Speaker 4: know why. I mean, well, I know why I went.
- 13:55Speaker 4: I went for this really cool DraftKings event, which was
- 13:59Speaker 4: held at Pebble Beach for their VIP. So I was
- 14:02Speaker 4: just like, I'm not a VIP. I was just shaking
- 14:05Speaker 4: hands and. I manned the long drive hole all day
- 14:11Speaker 4: with Chef Donnie, who might be the funniest person that
- 14:15Speaker 4: works at Barstool.
- 14:16Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, yeah. I swear to God, that dude is
- 14:20Speaker 5: fucking hysterical. Yeah, yeah.
- 14:22Speaker 4: Because he was starting to like... We were so bored
- 14:26Speaker 4: that he was drinking. I was like, I'm not going
- 14:28Speaker 4: to drink just because I'm bored. And the more he drinks...
- 14:32Speaker 4: the more confident he gets that like what he's saying
- 14:36Speaker 4: will somehow work itself out. And he doesn't like the
- 14:40Speaker 4: things that are coming out of his mouth sound like
- 14:44Speaker 4: Confucius sayings, but they don't make any fucking sense. I
- 14:51Speaker 4: swear to God, you know, he, he, he said something where,
- 14:55Speaker 4: and I was like, well, what does that mean? And
- 14:56Speaker 4: he goes, well, you know, every Julius needs to find
- 14:59Speaker 4: its Caesar. And I was like, can you explain that?
- 15:04Speaker 4: And he was like, you know, basically, you don't know
- 15:07Speaker 4: if you're a man until you get your official title.
- 15:10Speaker 4: I'm like, okay, well, that had nothing to do with
- 15:12Speaker 4: what we were talking about.
- 15:13Speaker 5: But anyway, the point is.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Did he just mean those two words have to go together?
- 15:18Speaker 4: I think that he just has this random grab bag
- 15:23Speaker 4: of phrases and sayings that is close at hand, and
- 15:27Speaker 4: he'll toss them out and then keep moving... without letting
- 15:30Speaker 4: someone think about it.
- 15:31Speaker 1: But sometimes he's dead right. Did you hear the one
- 15:33Speaker 1: where he was like, if you see three girls who
- 15:35Speaker 1: are friends, no, they're not.
- 15:38Speaker 4: It's Yogi Berra-esque. I mean, he's really quite, like, gifted
- 15:42Speaker 4: in that.
- 15:43Speaker 5: Um.
- 15:44Speaker 1: That's like 10 words of like perfection.
- 15:48Speaker 5: I know.
- 15:48Speaker 1: That's like very economical language. So it's like you can't
- 15:51Speaker 1: blame him for just saying shit if every now and
- 15:54Speaker 1: again there's a gem that comes out of the factory.
- 15:57Speaker 4: Dude, last night we were both taking red eyes and
- 16:01Speaker 4: he was not flying on Delta, but he came to
- 16:04Speaker 4: the Delta lounge to see me and I was already
- 16:07Speaker 4: in there. And he'd walked a pretty long way because
- 16:09Speaker 4: he had been in a Centurion lounge. And he was like,
- 16:12Speaker 4: can I come have a drink with you? And I
- 16:13Speaker 4: was like, yeah, sure. And I went down to get
- 16:16Speaker 4: him and I thought I could just use a guest pass.
- 16:17Speaker 4: But they were like, oh, he's not flying Delta. He
- 16:20Speaker 4: can't come in. And we were like, ah, bummer. And
- 16:24Speaker 4: I'm like, we like hugged goodbye and whatever. And I
- 16:27Speaker 4: went back upstairs to the lounge. Five minutes later, he
- 16:30Speaker 4: walks in. And I was like, wow. He goes, I
- 16:36Speaker 4: can talk my way out of anything. And I was like,
- 16:38Speaker 4: that's amazing. Like, how'd you do it? And he goes, well,
- 16:41Speaker 4: I told her we were cousins and I haven't seen
- 16:43Speaker 4: you in a long time. And she was like, I'm sorry,
- 16:46Speaker 4: you're not flying Delta. And he goes, and then I said...
- 16:49Speaker 4: what will you do if I just walk by? And
- 16:54Speaker 4: she said, there's nothing I can do, I guess. And
- 16:57Speaker 4: he just walked in.
- 16:59Speaker 5: That's crazy. Like put his head down and like broke
- 17:03Speaker 5: her rule. Yeah, that's insane. And didn't look back. And
- 17:06Speaker 5: I'm like, you didn't talk your way out of that.
- 17:08Speaker 4: You just were willing to fucking commit probably some kind.
- 17:13Speaker 5: Of crime in an airport. In an airport's crazy. Which
- 17:16Speaker 5: is what nobody would do. No. And he was so
- 17:19Speaker 5: gleeful about it. It was fucking hilarious, dude.
- 17:22Speaker 4: Yeah, you got to be on your best. I'm surprised
- 17:23Speaker 4: he didn't get arrested. He was also, by the way,
- 17:25Speaker 4: because he had talked about getting a drink.
- 17:27Speaker 5: I wasn't. I didn't want a drink.
- 17:28Speaker 4: And so I was like, go get yourself a drink.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Celebrate that victory. And he went up and he comes back.
- 17:32Speaker 4: I thought he was going to have a beer. He
- 17:34Speaker 4: has this brown beard. brownish drinking of glass i go
- 17:37Speaker 4: what is that he goes rum and coke i go
- 17:40Speaker 4: you're drinking rum and cokes before a red eye he
- 17:43Speaker 4: goes yeah i mean i've had like four oh shit
- 17:46Speaker 4: at this point you know this is gonna be the
- 17:48Speaker 4: perfect way to knock myself out i'm like wow i don't.
- 17:51Speaker 1: I don't hate that i don't hate just get knocking
- 17:53Speaker 1: yourself out but you really have to hit it perfectly.
- 17:56Speaker 5: That's a, that's a, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. I feel
- 18:00Speaker 5: like people like think they're going to, I feel like
- 18:02Speaker 5: it takes a little longer to get tired from drinking
- 18:04Speaker 5: than people think. I feel like you kind of get
- 18:05Speaker 5: like an energy boost almost.
- 18:07Speaker 4: Especially when it's, uh, your, your mixer is a highly
- 18:10Speaker 4: caffeinated soda.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Yeah. If he's having straight up rum and cokes, he
- 18:15Speaker 1: probably just had like 500 grams of sugar. He's like,
- 18:19Speaker 1: I'm going to go to bed.
- 18:20Speaker 5: Yeah. I mean, he was so funny.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Getting into the Delta lounge by force is fucking hilarious.
- 18:25Speaker 5: I never even thought about that. He was killing me.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Legally, we can't stop you. Like, did he even trespass
- 18:31Speaker 1: if they legally can't stop?
- 18:32Speaker 5: No, she was just like, yeah, I guess.
- 18:34Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 18:34Speaker 4: There's not much I can do.
- 18:36Speaker 1: There's no security.
- 18:37Speaker 5: He was like, well, and then he just walked past her.
- 18:39Speaker 5: That's insane.
- 18:41Speaker 4: Never like showed his boarding pass.
- 18:42Speaker 5: No, nothing. Just bang, I'm gone.
- 18:45Speaker 1: If you're bold enough to not follow some of society's rules,
- 18:49Speaker 1: I think that there's some where they didn't even consider
- 18:51Speaker 1: a security breach.
- 18:52Speaker 5: Correct.
- 18:53Speaker 1: There's no security on site. There's no one that can even.
- 18:56Speaker 5: It has me thinking about that line at LaGuardia. Like,
- 18:58Speaker 5: can you just, you can just, that line's kind of
- 19:00Speaker 5: just for show.
- 19:02Speaker 1: You could probably just walk around the metal detector.
- 19:03Speaker 5: You can just walk right through the line. Yeah.
- 19:06Speaker 4: Maybe, but they've got five or six people working at
- 19:09Speaker 4: the ground floor there.
- 19:11Speaker 5: What are they going to do? They can't do anything, apparently.
- 19:15Speaker 5: They can.
- 19:15Speaker 1: If you just walk right to the escalator.
- 19:17Speaker 5: No, I'm saying like when you're like the line at
- 19:19Speaker 5: the Delta Lounge.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Yeah, you go right past the outside line, right past
- 19:23Speaker 1: the kiosks. Oh, yeah. And go right to the escalator.
- 19:25Speaker 5: The escalator. But I'm saying.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Steal the lounge.
- 19:28Speaker 4: Where that the kiosks are, where all the little like
- 19:31Speaker 4: electronic machines. There's five or six people.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Five or six women.
- 19:35Speaker 4: Well, there's usually one guy.
- 19:37Speaker 5: Who looks like he's ready.
- 19:38Speaker 1: An elder gay.
- 19:39Speaker 5: Yeah, it's usually a gay dude.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Fair enough. It's an elder gay.
- 19:42Speaker 5: Sometimes Mexican gay.
- 19:44Speaker 4: Might be. I'm picturing like super strong black gay.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Really?
- 19:48Speaker 4: Yeah, that, you know, he's got like the. vest on
- 19:50Speaker 4: that is like, looks like a wife beater shirt, you know,
- 19:54Speaker 4: through it.
- 19:55Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah. That thing. Yeah.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Statistically, I don't think you can count on that. Now,
- 20:00Speaker 1: there's probably times where you start walking through and you've
- 20:02Speaker 1: skipped the whole line and you run into the super
- 20:05Speaker 1: jacked black Delta guy and you realize that you're fucked
- 20:09Speaker 1: because you've reached security and now you have nowhere to go.
- 20:11Speaker 1: But the other 99 times, there's going to be no resistance.
- 20:15Speaker 5: You're not wrong.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:17Speaker 5: Well, anyway.
- 20:17Speaker 1: What a move.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Yeah, it was pretty fun. I had a great time
- 20:20Speaker 4: with him. I think he presents or has been framed
- 20:25Speaker 4: as being sort of village idiot-esque at Barstool, but the
- 20:28Speaker 4: truth is that he's quite wonderful to be around and
- 20:34Speaker 4: also pretty damn smart, to be honest with you. He
- 20:36Speaker 4: grew up and he went to a French immersion school
- 20:38Speaker 4: from kindergarten through eighth grade, so he's completely fluent in French.
- 20:42Speaker 4: So we were just having fun gabbing in french which
- 20:46Speaker 4: you know a couple guys because yeah you know french
- 20:48Speaker 4: too i do yeah uh.
- 20:50Speaker 1: When they saw you hugging goodbye i'm surprised that they
- 20:54Speaker 1: didn't all think that you guys were just a gay couple.
- 20:56Speaker 4: I think they thought we were brothers because i think
- 20:59Speaker 4: that's what he told her initially and then he switched
- 21:01Speaker 4: it to cousins and when he realized he'd made that
- 21:04Speaker 4: mistake he was like i'm just gonna walk by you.
- 21:06Speaker 5: Yeah we're just gay yeah yeah.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Two dudes talking in French at the Delta Lounge.
- 21:12Speaker 5: Yeah. American. It was pretty gay.
- 21:14Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:15Speaker 1: That's amazing. He went to France with us. He, when
- 21:19Speaker 1: we went to France for the world cup, when Caleb Buddha,
- 21:21Speaker 1: Ben and I went to France for the world cup,
- 21:23Speaker 1: he went as well and was like our translator and
- 21:26Speaker 1: took us to like neighborhoods in France. And, different restaurants
- 21:30Speaker 1: where like like very like low-key like non-touristy restaurants where
- 21:35Speaker 1: we didn't speak a word of french and he ordered
- 21:37Speaker 1: everything for us and it was a fucking incredible time.
- 21:39Speaker 4: It's cool that's really cool he also did that thing
- 21:42Speaker 4: where he worked at the restaurant yeah like last year.
- 21:45Speaker 1: He opened a restaurant he's opened his own restaurant multiple
- 21:47Speaker 1: times in france no in america oh yeah yeah but
- 21:51Speaker 1: he worked at a restaurant in france for like a
- 21:53Speaker 1: summer i just made content and where was he in
- 21:56Speaker 1: avignon i'm not sure i think he was in avignon
- 21:58Speaker 1: i think he was in avignon He was in Avignon.
- 22:01Speaker 5: Somewhere around there, at least.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Did you guys sing this song about the little boy
- 22:03Speaker 1: going to Avignon? Yeah, that's a classic song. All right.
- 22:11Speaker 1: So no tragedy.
- 22:13Speaker 5: No, my tragedy. We haven't even reached the tragedy. I'll
- 22:15Speaker 5: be quick.
- 22:16Speaker 4: I spent my whole weekend knowing that I had a
- 22:21Speaker 4: Delta One bed to fly home on.
- 22:23Speaker 5: Oh, no.
- 22:24Speaker 4: That I was taking the red eye on Sunday night.
- 22:27Speaker 4: By the way, I mean, I looked for ways to
- 22:30Speaker 4: switch my flight.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Of course.
- 22:31Speaker 4: Because when I got to San Francisco, I flew into
- 22:34Speaker 4: San Francisco and it was a three hour drive in
- 22:37Speaker 4: traffic with an Uber driver who, by the way, was
- 22:39Speaker 4: from Afghanistan. His name was Najee. And what a guy
- 22:44Speaker 4: he was. I sat up front with him. The two
- 22:46Speaker 4: of us just drove three hours along the California highway
- 22:51Speaker 4: through lots of traffic through Santa Cruz, maybe.
- 22:55Speaker 5: Yeah, Santa Cruz.
- 22:56Speaker 1: And you talked the whole time?
- 22:57Speaker 4: Talked a lot of the time because he lives here
- 23:00Speaker 4: for 10 months of the year. His whole family lives
- 23:02Speaker 4: back in Afghanistan and he works as an electrician and
- 23:06Speaker 4: an Uber driver and sends like $ 300, $ 500 home a month,
- 23:10Speaker 4: which I guess puts his whole family in like the
- 23:12Speaker 4: 1% of Afghanistan.
- 23:13Speaker 5: Damn.
- 23:14Speaker 4: They're like incredibly wealthy as a.
- 23:16Speaker 5: Result of that.
- 23:16Speaker 4: But he only sees his family two months of the year.
- 23:18Speaker 4: He can't get them over. He's a full citizen now.
- 23:22Speaker 4: Can't get them over here because of Trump's like ban
- 23:26Speaker 4: on Afghanistan people.
- 23:29Speaker 1: It does show how good Afghanistan's PR has gotten though.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Like in 20 years ago, you couldn't say you were
- 23:36Speaker 1: from Afghanistan. No, no, no.
- 23:38Speaker 5: That'd kill you.
- 23:38Speaker 1: You couldn't just be bragging about being from Afghanistan. I like,
- 23:42Speaker 1: this is only going to have to be a couple
- 23:43Speaker 1: of years where you could say Afghanistan.
- 23:45Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
- 23:45Speaker 4: He said that, uh, during the war, because he worked
- 23:51Speaker 4: in the U S embassy as an electrician.
- 23:53Speaker 5: Oh shit.
- 23:54Speaker 4: And, uh, that he was always at risk from the
- 23:58Speaker 4: Taliban killing him.
- 23:59Speaker 5: Yeah, especially if you're at the embassy.
- 24:01Speaker 4: Any sort of interaction with Americans was not good.
- 24:04Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like Argo. You guys ever watch Argo? Of course.
- 24:07Speaker 5: That movie's crazy. Of course. It's a good movie. Great movie.
- 24:10Speaker 5: Great movie.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Affleck had great hair in it.
- 24:13Speaker 5: Oh, unbelievable.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Interesting different hair.
- 24:14Speaker 5: Very Steve Jobs-esque hair.
- 24:16Speaker 1: A little bowl cut. Yeah. So you're riding with this
- 24:20Speaker 1: guy from Afghanistan.
- 24:21Speaker 4: Yeah, we stopped at a gas station. We got snacks.
- 24:23Speaker 4: It was pretty cool. I enjoyed my time with him. Um,
- 24:26Speaker 4: and then he, but anyway, the point was that like
- 24:28Speaker 4: that drive was so long that I was trying to
- 24:31Speaker 4: figure out ways to get home by flying out of Monterey,
- 24:33Speaker 4: which was only 15 minutes from Pebble Beach, but you'd
- 24:36Speaker 4: have to connect. And I was supposed to play golf
- 24:39Speaker 4: on Sunday. I thought I was going to be playing
- 24:40Speaker 4: with some of the DraftKings like clients, but, uh, I
- 24:44Speaker 4: ended up just being paired with a buddy of mine,
- 24:47Speaker 4: Jake Adams, who's part of Country Club Adjacent. They do
- 24:51Speaker 4: the like back off challenge stuff.
- 24:52Speaker 5: Oh, nice. I don't know.
- 24:53Speaker 4: They're funny guys. They're both former comics.
- 24:56Speaker 5: Oh, cool.
- 24:57Speaker 4: And by the way, he plays for like a crazy
- 24:59Speaker 4: amount of money. And we filmed for his channel. And
- 25:03Speaker 4: I'm not going to give that away, but that should
- 25:04Speaker 4: be cool. Oh, we played Spyglass. But anyway, the point
- 25:08Speaker 4: is that like, finally, I just gave in to the
- 25:11Speaker 4: fact that I was going to have to get back
- 25:14Speaker 4: to San Francisco and to take the red eye on
- 25:17Speaker 4: sunday night there was no other way home for me
- 25:19Speaker 4: so brutal and i i really prepared myself i i
- 25:23Speaker 4: didn't really drink much of the weekend but on sunday
- 25:25Speaker 4: during the match and then i had we finished at
- 25:28Speaker 4: like 1 p.m and i had like five hours to
- 25:30Speaker 4: kill before going back to san francisco so we were
- 25:34Speaker 4: just drinking um before the drive yeah hard we were
- 25:41Speaker 4: drinking hard yeah Yeah.
- 25:43Speaker 5: And are you thinking in the back of your head, like,
- 25:44Speaker 5: this is a bad idea?
- 25:46Speaker 4: No, I was like, I'm going to have a bed
- 25:47Speaker 4: to sleep on, pass out, not going to feel great tomorrow, whatever,
- 25:53Speaker 4: but it's fine.
- 25:53Speaker 5: You're not going to feel great anyway.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:55Speaker 5: Yeah. So we get a ride. DraftKings, awesome.
- 25:59Speaker 4: They sort us out with a ride back to the airport.
- 26:04Speaker 4: The DraftKings people are awesome, by the way. I kind
- 26:07Speaker 4: of want to work there.
- 26:08Speaker 5: Oh, interesting. Doing what? Content? Whatever they need me for.
- 26:15Speaker 4: That's a place to work.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely.
- 26:17Speaker 5: It seems like an awesome company to work for. Yeah, probably.
- 26:20Speaker 4: Really?
- 26:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:22Speaker 5: They're cool.
- 26:23Speaker 4: They seem to be having a lot of.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Do they like to joke?
- 26:27Speaker 4: Yeah, they're having a good time. Their job is cool. Now,
- 26:30Speaker 4: this is like the events people.
- 26:32Speaker 5: So... It looks sick.
- 26:35Speaker 1: How do you get hired to be an events person
- 26:36Speaker 1: at a company? Because those people look like it seems
- 26:38Speaker 1: like their job is just being entertaining and entertaining clients.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Just being able to mix it up, play golf with people,
- 26:44Speaker 1: have a drink. That's nice. Yeah.
- 26:46Speaker 5: That's kind of what it was. Yeah. It's hospitality. It's
- 26:50Speaker 5: really what it is. It's probably like you're just like
- 26:51Speaker 5: really good at sales and you also party a lot.
- 26:55Speaker 1: So you can just graduate out of sales. Do we
- 26:58Speaker 1: have guys like that? Do we have people that we're
- 27:00Speaker 1: sending out to do stuff like that?
- 27:01Speaker 5: Oh, yeah. Me. I should be. Yeah. Alrighty, let's talk
- 27:05Speaker 5: about DraftKings. Who said you can't have things your way?

- 28:41Speaker 5: get on the flights and 1140 p.m. flight, right?
- 29:05Speaker 4: Sweet Delta one seat, get on the plane, walk on.
- 29:10Speaker 4: And I look around and I'm like, huh? These are
- 29:15Speaker 4: not my flatbed seats.
- 29:18Speaker 5: Oh.
- 29:19Speaker 4: And I'm like, maybe, maybe the cabins in the front,
- 29:21Speaker 4: maybe I needed to have turned left.
- 29:23Speaker 5: Just the cockpit. Just see the cockpit.
- 29:26Speaker 4: And I'm looking around and I'm like probably the third
- 29:29Speaker 4: person on the plane.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:31Speaker 4: And I'm looking around and the flight attendant goes, Oh,
- 29:36Speaker 4: did they not tell you?
- 29:37Speaker 1: Yeah, no, we.
- 29:40Speaker 4: um we don't have the right plane so the plane
- 29:44Speaker 4: that was supposed to take us got lost yeah somewhere
- 29:49Speaker 4: yeah bermuda triangle i don't know where And what ended
- 29:54Speaker 4: up coming was some fucking old war horse.
- 29:57Speaker 5: Yeah, you got the tiny box TV.
- 29:58Speaker 4: Some rickety piece of shit old plane that has just
- 30:04Speaker 4: regular first class chairs.
- 30:07Speaker 5: Yeah, it's tough. First class chairs.
- 30:09Speaker 4: And look, I knew that this would sound incredibly silly.
- 30:14Speaker 5: It sounds bad, but if you're expecting the bed and
- 30:17Speaker 5: you get the chair.
- 30:18Speaker 4: My whole weekend had been geared towards knowing Like I
- 30:23Speaker 4: didn't change flights and didn't do certain things based on
- 30:26Speaker 4: the fact that I knew I could sleep coming into today.
- 30:30Speaker 4: And instead now, instead of like lying flat, curled up.
- 30:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 30:35Speaker 4: Taking, you know, let me sleep gummy or whatever. I'm
- 30:39Speaker 4: sitting upright.
- 30:40Speaker 5: Yeah. With my neck just like fucking lolling around.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Waking up.
- 30:47Speaker 5: God damn.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Yeah. Just nightmare. Nightmare. When most civilians hear about getting
- 30:53Speaker 1: the chair, they're thinking of the electric chair. Getting the
- 30:57Speaker 1: chair is getting a seat that you thought would be
- 31:00Speaker 1: Delta one. That is actually.
- 31:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 31:02Speaker 4: I mean, I would have taken the chair at that point.
- 31:06Speaker 5: I would have.
- 31:08Speaker 4: Were there two aisles?
- 31:09Speaker 1: Or was it just one aisle?
- 31:12Speaker 4: No, there were seats on each side of the aisle.
- 31:15Speaker 1: So it was laid out so you could have put
- 31:17Speaker 1: them in. So it was just an older plane that
- 31:19Speaker 1: they just had?
- 31:20Speaker 5: It was like a regional plane. Do you know what
- 31:23Speaker 5: the plane was? No. No. I don't look that up.
- 31:27Speaker 1: It was probably an A330. It's got to be an A330, right?
- 31:30Speaker 5: No, it's an A380, by the way.
- 31:32Speaker 1: No, A380 is the big one. I'm saying a smaller
- 31:35Speaker 1: version that would be.
- 31:36Speaker 5: A 330 or a 350. This was like a 737.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Is there a 330?
- 31:38Speaker 5: And a 350. I thought it was 320.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Oh, you're asleep. Is there a 330?
- 31:42Speaker 5: I would have liked to have been.
- 31:44Speaker 1: There's a 330 and a 350.
- 31:44Speaker 5: I'm going to have to look into that. This was
- 31:47Speaker 5: not an A anything. This was B.
- 31:50Speaker 4: Boeing 737. Boeing 737. You know, this thing had fucking
- 31:56Speaker 4: props on the wings.
- 31:58Speaker 5: Anyway, but what.
- 32:00Speaker 4: Was crazy to me was that they just, like, everyone
- 32:02Speaker 4: was punting the blame.
- 32:03Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, of course.
- 32:05Speaker 4: Everyone, like, then the guy came out as we were
- 32:08Speaker 4: starting to, like, taxi, and he was like, by the way,
- 32:11Speaker 4: a different guy, and he was like, I know I
- 32:13Speaker 4: was supposed to come by with, like, you know, champagne
- 32:16Speaker 4: pre-cocktail drink for the first class, but I've had my
- 32:20Speaker 4: hands full, and by the way, I don't really know
- 32:21Speaker 4: what happened next. Or why you guys weren't told that
- 32:24Speaker 4: you wouldn't have your beds. Meanwhile, the guy to my
- 32:27Speaker 4: right was pretty cool. And he clearly flies at all
- 32:31Speaker 4: the time. He was like, this happens one out of
- 32:33Speaker 4: eight times when you fly specifically from San Francisco back
- 32:37Speaker 4: to New York. Is that they like lose the plane
- 32:40Speaker 4: and you end up in one of these chairs instead
- 32:43Speaker 4: of the bed.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Some Silicon Valley COO is just doing fucking loop-de-de-loops in
- 32:47Speaker 1: the sky. Just having the time of their life.
- 32:50Speaker 5: I don't, yeah. I don't know what it.
- 32:51Speaker 4: Dude, to see your ticket with that beautiful purple hue
- 32:55Speaker 4: for the Delta One and to be so excited that
- 32:58Speaker 4: as soon as we take off, I'm pressing that button
- 33:00Speaker 4: and sliding down into sweet, sweet, sweet prone recline.
- 33:06Speaker 5: Yeah, it's brutal.
- 33:06Speaker 4: To then all of a sudden being like, all right,
- 33:08Speaker 4: this is the height of comfort right here.
- 33:11Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 33:12Speaker 4: This is as far as I get to go. No footrest.
- 33:15Speaker 4: By the way, the guy in front of me reclines
- 33:16Speaker 4: his seat. That seat's touching my knees. This was a
- 33:19Speaker 4: terrible plane.
- 33:20Speaker 1: And that's why I'm opening up my Venmo to take
- 33:23Speaker 1: donations for Francis for the tough time that he went through.
- 33:26Speaker 1: We're going to raise a little bit of money. He
- 33:27Speaker 1: had a tough time.
- 33:29Speaker 4: I'm going to need to hire a fucking resume coach
- 33:31Speaker 4: for my new job. Anyway, point is that.
- 33:37Speaker 5: You should have like just if you're the third guy
- 33:39Speaker 5: on the plane and that happens, you should just stand
- 33:41Speaker 5: at the door and say, no one else is getting
- 33:44Speaker 5: on this plane.
- 33:44Speaker 1: We have beds. Figure it out.
- 33:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Make these lie flat. Was anyone else bitching? Was anyone
- 33:51Speaker 1: else in the first class cabin upset?
- 33:54Speaker 4: People were pretty accepting.
- 33:57Speaker 5: No one was mad.
- 33:58Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 34:00Speaker 5: No one said like.
- 34:01Speaker 4: I think people were saying that to each other. By
- 34:03Speaker 4: the way, one guy got on the plane and was
- 34:05Speaker 4: walking back to coach and looked at us all and
- 34:07Speaker 4: he goes, Oh, you guys don't get beds? You went
- 34:11Speaker 4: from Delta One to this? He goes, that sucks.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Was he fucking with you?
- 34:15Speaker 5: No. He was being sincere. I mean, do you get
- 34:19Speaker 5: like a refund if that happens?
- 34:20Speaker 1: I think the.
- 34:21Speaker 4: Guy to my right, who again, really knew his shit,
- 34:23Speaker 4: he was like, we're going to get a credit of
- 34:25Speaker 4: some kind, but you should then complain and you'll get
- 34:28Speaker 4: even more.
- 34:28Speaker 5: Yeah, because that's like a damn near $ 2, 000 price difference. Correct.
- 34:34Speaker 5: I wouldn't... Between bed and seats.
- 34:35Speaker 1: That's theft of service. Yeah. And that's over $ 2, 000. That's
- 34:38Speaker 1: grand theft. Oh.
- 34:39Speaker 5: Larceny. And now you got a lawsuit on your hands.
- 34:41Speaker 4: Grand larceny.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Yeah, because it's happened to everyone that's class action. Yeah.
- 34:45Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, you guys should all get in like a
- 34:47Speaker 5: group chat together. You should have exchanged numbers. Yeah, I know.
- 34:50Speaker 5: I'm going to need everyone's number here. Yeah. What do
- 34:55Speaker 5: they call that?
- 34:55Speaker 4: Class action.
- 34:56Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
- 34:58Speaker 4: Anyway, so I remember I did sleep for like what
- 35:01Speaker 4: I thought was... four hours because the whole flight was
- 35:04Speaker 4: only four hours and 45 minutes and i woke up
- 35:08Speaker 4: and i was like oh okay at least i slept
- 35:10Speaker 4: and i looked at the in-flight tracker i pulled that
- 35:13Speaker 4: up i had slept for 38 minutes yeah.
- 35:16Speaker 5: That's the worst you were over.
- 35:18Speaker 4: Utah and we still had yeah we still had like
- 35:21Speaker 4: four hours to go and i'm like.
- 35:24Speaker 5: Oh no yeah and you were just up Pretty much. Oh, no. Yeah.
- 35:30Speaker 5: And then I got back. I mean, you want to talk.
- 35:32Speaker 4: This is where the tragedy really starts to unfold, too,
- 35:35Speaker 4: is that just adding insult to injury. We land and
- 35:38Speaker 4: I get off the plane at JFK and I'm like,
- 35:41Speaker 4: where am I? And I see the escalator at the
- 35:46Speaker 4: end of JFK.
- 35:47Speaker 5: The series of gates end of the airport.
- 35:50Speaker 4: Which means i know that i am at the end
- 35:53Speaker 4: of that yeah there are miles and miles to go
- 35:58Speaker 4: you got a 30 minute jog yeah so the tickets
- 36:01Speaker 4: of the ground transportation these woods are lovely dark and
- 36:05Speaker 4: deep and i have miles to go before i sleep
- 36:08Speaker 4: and um I.
- 36:09Speaker 5: Mean, it was really... It was gate B54. Yeah, yeah. No,
- 36:12Speaker 5: I know exactly what escalator... It's the escalator down. It's
- 36:15Speaker 5: the last... You are at the end of the airport. Yeah.
- 36:19Speaker 5: And you go up.
- 36:20Speaker 4: You get up to the top of the escalator and
- 36:22Speaker 4: you just see waves of people sprinting at you because
- 36:25Speaker 4: you realize they've totally underestimated how far it is for them.
- 36:30Speaker 5: To go all the way.
- 36:31Speaker 4: You know, I get to the fucking baggage claim. I
- 36:35Speaker 4: check my golf clubs and wait.
- 36:38Speaker 5: And wait. And wait.
- 36:40Speaker 4: The whole belt's empty. There's a bunch of guys doing
- 36:43Speaker 4: construction on the oversized, odd-sized baggage chute.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:47Speaker 4: So I'm like, I don't know if they're going to
- 36:48Speaker 4: be putting shit out there.
- 36:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 36:50Speaker 4: So finally I get up and I go talk to them.
- 36:52Speaker 4: I'm like, are you guys allowing stuff through? And they're like, no,
- 36:54Speaker 4: you got to go figure this out somewhere else. Then
- 36:56Speaker 4: I go to the fucking desk. They come around. They
- 37:00Speaker 4: look through this door. And my bag has just been
- 37:04Speaker 4: thrown into a hallway.
- 37:05Speaker 5: Okay.
- 37:06Speaker 4: That requires a special access card. And it's been sitting
- 37:09Speaker 4: there for 25 minutes.
- 37:10Speaker 5: Yeah. Keep in mind now. Now, I mean, it's I
- 37:14Speaker 5: haven't slept. Yeah.
- 37:15Speaker 4: I've been sitting there for like 45 minutes waiting for
- 37:18Speaker 4: my bag. It's been sitting 10 feet from me.
- 37:20Speaker 5: Yeah. And nobody knew.
- 37:22Speaker 4: So they go get some the guy who built JFK.
- 37:26Speaker 5: JFK. John F.
- 37:27Speaker 1: Kennedy.
- 37:27Speaker 5: He's got a massive key. Yeah.
- 37:30Speaker 4: And he comes out and he like fucking gets my bag.
- 37:33Speaker 4: Then I get it. Then I go walk to my car.
- 37:36Speaker 4: I get in my car, I plug in my, it's 9.30 a.m.
- 37:40Speaker 4: I plug in my home address, hour and 15 minutes.
- 37:45Speaker 1: And it's not even like an Uber where you can
- 37:47Speaker 1: just zone out.
- 37:48Speaker 5: No.
- 37:49Speaker 1: You have to drive, you have to sit in the
- 37:51Speaker 1: traffic and make sure no one cuts you off.
- 37:53Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 37:54Speaker 4: I mean, it was like truly traffic where we would
- 37:57Speaker 4: sit without moving on a highway for three.
- 38:01Speaker 5: Minutes at a time.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:02Speaker 5: And you go 10 feet. three minutes yeah that's enough
- 38:05Speaker 5: to make you uh go insane well.
- 38:08Speaker 4: It's just i remember like being being told about this
- 38:13Speaker 4: trip and they were like yeah do you want to
- 38:15Speaker 4: do it and i was like yeah okay i'll do
- 38:17Speaker 4: it that sounds pretty cool never.
- 38:19Speaker 5: Again no no you don't do the west coast now
- 38:21Speaker 5: like yeah.
- 38:23Speaker 4: I was like we were they were they said they
- 38:25Speaker 4: were like we were gonna send jerry but jerry doesn't
- 38:27Speaker 4: do the.
- 38:28Speaker 1: West coast you're east coast jerry and i was like he.
- 38:31Speaker 5: Doesn't do he's halfway there he doesn't do the west
- 38:36Speaker 5: coast i get it i get it now yeah you
- 38:39Speaker 5: got to start saying you don't you don't do the
- 38:40Speaker 5: west coast anymore but.
- 38:42Speaker 4: Dude they it was a cool trip man i mean
- 38:44Speaker 4: draft kings does it up the they had they do
- 38:47Speaker 4: it up this was so sick like the the bag
- 38:50Speaker 4: of merch that.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Was in your room oh would they get oh.
- 38:53Speaker 5: My god what didn't they get it was like is
- 38:56Speaker 5: it dk gear.
- 38:57Speaker 4: A bunch of that A bunch of Pebble Beach gear,
- 39:01Speaker 4: a bunch of like face products and sprays and sunscreens,
- 39:06Speaker 4: full body deodorant.
- 39:07Speaker 5: I'd never seen that before. I didn't know that was
- 39:09Speaker 5: a thing.
- 39:09Speaker 1: That's for your penis and balls.
- 39:11Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 39:11Speaker 1: When they say full body, it's not for the back
- 39:13Speaker 1: of your knees.
- 39:13Speaker 5: That's the one place I didn't put it. So, yeah,
- 39:19Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 39:20Speaker 4: They had like a poster, a jigsaw puzzle, all this
- 39:23Speaker 4: crazy stuff.
- 39:23Speaker 5: Jigsaw. Yeah. What was it of? Pebble Beach.
- 39:26Speaker 1: How many pieces? Oh, my God.
- 39:28Speaker 4: A thousand oh my god by the way i'm completely
- 39:30Speaker 4: lying they did not have a jigsaw puzzle oh come
- 39:32Speaker 4: on i just i thought they did but then i
- 39:34Speaker 4: remembered they didn't it was just.
- 39:35Speaker 5: A standard puzzle it was a slide puzzle it was
- 39:39Speaker 5: a brain teaser it's.
- 39:42Speaker 4: Gonna be used on next season of surviving barstool.
- 39:45Speaker 1: I need you to hit a one on the first hole.
- 39:49Speaker 4: Um anyway so uh then they had frank caliendo performing
- 39:53Speaker 4: on on saturday night which was really cool he was
- 39:57Speaker 4: great got up ripped it super talented and then they
- 39:59Speaker 4: brought me pft and hank up with frank caliendo for
- 40:05Speaker 4: a fireside chat.
- 40:06Speaker 1: Wait the all part of my take and you was.
- 40:08Speaker 4: There and chef donnie and not not big cat though
- 40:12Speaker 4: got it it was hank and pft me and chef
- 40:15Speaker 4: donnie so.
- 40:15Speaker 1: You and chef donnie in the aggregate that DraftKings was
- 40:18Speaker 1: saying equals a big.
- 40:19Speaker 4: Cat well they didn't even bring Chef Donnie up for
- 40:22Speaker 4: the fireside chat.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Oh man really oh so one for one.
- 40:26Speaker 4: It was actually kind of nice Frank Caliendo and then
- 40:29Speaker 4: the moderator how was the fireside chat it's odd because
- 40:33Speaker 4: it's like Frank Caliendo had just performed and crushed and
- 40:37Speaker 4: then he doesn't know who we are he doesn't not
- 40:40Speaker 4: really I mean he's done that's not true he's done
- 40:43Speaker 4: pardon my take so I think he knew who PFT
- 40:45Speaker 4: maybe Hank were but people are like, it's a Q
- 40:49Speaker 4: and a, and they're asking Frank questions, but we all
- 40:53Speaker 4: have microphones. So he's trying to like graciously share the
- 40:58Speaker 4: space with us.
- 40:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 41:00Speaker 1: But he's doing it in a John Madden impression.
- 41:02Speaker 5: He's like, boom, Frank.
- 41:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:04Speaker 4: Frank, how'd you get your start? Well, you know, this, that,
- 41:07Speaker 4: I like comedy. Anyway, PFT, you, you laugh a lot. Like,
- 41:11Speaker 4: what about you? What makes you tick?
- 41:13Speaker 5: Yeah, that's tough.
- 41:14Speaker 1: Um, how long was it for him though?
- 41:16Speaker 4: The chat. The chat was probably 20 minutes. Oh, that's
- 41:21Speaker 4: not bad. That's light work.
- 41:23Speaker 5: I got a pretty good laugh. Oh, of course.
- 41:25Speaker 4: I was like, yeah, I've been manning the long drive
- 41:27Speaker 4: hole all day. It's been really fun telling all of
- 41:29Speaker 4: you guys, wow, good shot, big boy. That's going to
- 41:35Speaker 4: run all the way out to 210.
- 41:37Speaker 5: Way to keep it under the wind. Donnie's got a
- 41:40Speaker 5: pretty good drive. Did you see it at all? We
- 41:43Speaker 5: played together. He played with me. He's got a pretty
- 41:46Speaker 5: solid drive now.
- 41:47Speaker 4: He's gotten solid, yeah.
- 41:48Speaker 5: Yeah. I remember because I played with him years ago
- 41:50Speaker 5: and I remember the only thing he could do was drive.
- 41:54Speaker 4: Uh i would say his short game is better than
- 41:56Speaker 4: his long game really yeah oh wow have the.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Tables oh francis is saying he's got no drive francis
- 42:03Speaker 1: that's what he was talking about hitting it 210 yeah.
- 42:05Speaker 5: That was that was a nice way of saying he
- 42:07Speaker 5: can't drive well.
- 42:09Speaker 4: We did play a hole with one group they asked
- 42:11Speaker 4: us to join them and he was so nervous really
- 42:14Speaker 4: he was topping the ball and i was like what's
- 42:16Speaker 4: going on none of this matters he goes I don't know.
- 42:19Speaker 5: We're at Pebble Beach.
- 42:19Speaker 4: It's DraftKings. Like, I'm fucking terrified, man.
- 42:23Speaker 5: I'm like, all right. All good. Yeah. That was before
- 42:25Speaker 5: his eight ramen cokes. Yeah.
- 42:27Speaker 1: The one thing that you mentioned that we glazed over,
- 42:29Speaker 1: I had no idea sawgrass was so close to Pebble Beach.
- 42:34Speaker 5: Spyglass. Spyglass.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Oh, I thought it was sawgrass.
- 42:36Speaker 4: No, no.
- 42:37Speaker 5: No, yeah. Spyglass is part of the, like, collection.
- 42:40Speaker 1: I'm probably being golfed to so bad.
- 42:42Speaker 5: I can't do it.
- 42:44Speaker 4: Part of the collection, of course, is out there. It's
- 42:47Speaker 4: weird because people say that, like, People would say that
- 42:49Speaker 4: they think Spyglass is better than Pebble. I don't know
- 42:52Speaker 4: what those people are fucking smoking.
- 42:53Speaker 5: It's people that can't get into Pebble. Correct.
- 42:56Speaker 1: Holy shit.
- 42:58Speaker 5: Spot on. I've seen it a million times. Yeah.
- 43:03Speaker 1: Anyway, that's all I'm going to say on today's episode.
- 43:14Speaker 1: That was nice.
- 43:15Speaker 4: I just vomited everything I had at you guys.
- 43:17Speaker 5: No, I mean, it was good. It was good.
- 43:18Speaker 4: And I'll let you take it from here.
- 43:19Speaker 5: I honestly think, like, people are probably going to not
- 43:24Speaker 5: sympathize with you for your first class situation. I think
- 43:27Speaker 5: I would have handled it so much worse than that.
- 43:29Speaker 5: I know you would. I thought about that. I would
- 43:31Speaker 5: have been on the verge of tears. No, I thought
- 43:33Speaker 5: about that.
- 43:33Speaker 4: I was like, this to Harry would be a calamity
- 43:37Speaker 4: of tsunami proportions.
- 43:39Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah. It would have, like, I would be still
- 43:42Speaker 5: on the phone with Delta right now.
- 43:43Speaker 4: I thought about it. I was like, you would have
- 43:45Speaker 4: been texting us throughout the night.
- 43:47Speaker 5: Oh yeah.
- 43:48Speaker 4: We would have known well before. And I was like,
- 43:50Speaker 4: I'm not going to text them and tell them about
- 43:52Speaker 4: this because I, you know.
- 43:54Speaker 5: We probably wouldn't be recording right now.
- 43:58Speaker 1: We honestly, we would not be. No, no.
- 44:01Speaker 5: I would be like, we have to do Tuesday. It's
- 44:02Speaker 5: going to be a late episode.
- 44:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 44:05Speaker 1: Well, imagine if you had taken like your wife or
- 44:07Speaker 1: one of your husband on a flight across the country
- 44:10Speaker 1: and you have fucking you're like, this is your big moment.
- 44:14Speaker 1: And you're like, I'm going to you won't believe it.
- 44:15Speaker 1: It's going to be the chillest trip ever. Like if
- 44:18Speaker 1: it's a work trip, OK, whatever. You're suffering the indignation
- 44:21Speaker 1: of a little bit less travel, but there's a work trip.
- 44:24Speaker 1: If this was your splurge trip, another credit isn't really
- 44:27Speaker 1: going to make up for that.
- 44:29Speaker 5: Not knowing to.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Right.
- 44:31Speaker 5: Yeah, they didn't tell us.
- 44:32Speaker 1: Imagine if it's the way home.
- 44:34Speaker 5: Turning that corner and seeing those chairs.
- 44:37Speaker 4: I was like, surely I'm in.
- 44:40Speaker 5: The wrong place.
- 44:41Speaker 1: Your face drops.
- 44:44Speaker 5: I'm sorry.
- 44:44Speaker 1: Looking to the left is really funny. I'm flying Delta 1.
- 44:48Speaker 5: What are these? this must be new technology how do
- 44:57Speaker 5: you guys how do they lay down.
- 44:59Speaker 4: The walls come out of the ground excuse me i've
- 45:02Speaker 4: boarded the wrong plane i don't know why.
- 45:05Speaker 1: This is a home alone situation i must have ran
- 45:07Speaker 1: into a man in the airport and.
- 45:09Speaker 4: It appears there's been some grievous mistake because i am
- 45:13Speaker 4: i'm francis.
- 45:16Speaker 5: I mean that would truly i've heard stories of people
- 45:19Speaker 5: um I remember someone telling me about a story where
- 45:22Speaker 5: they had a Delta 1, or maybe it was just
- 45:24Speaker 5: a regular first class seat, but their seat specifically was broken. Yeah.
- 45:28Speaker 5: And they had to go sit in coach, and then
- 45:30Speaker 5: they bring you the meal while you're in coach, which
- 45:33Speaker 5: at that point is just like, save it. I don't
- 45:35Speaker 5: want it.
- 45:35Speaker 1: Save that shit. Because now coach hates me.
- 45:37Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly.
- 45:38Speaker 1: At least let me sit on the fucking floor with
- 45:40Speaker 1: the rest of them.
- 45:41Speaker 4: Dude, by the way, this guy to my right was
- 45:45Speaker 4: laughing a little bit, and he was like, by the way,
- 45:46Speaker 4: if you think we have it bad, he goes- The
- 45:50Speaker 4: way that the flight we were supposed to have was
- 45:52Speaker 4: booked was that there were supposed to be like eight
- 45:54Speaker 4: rows of Delta One.
- 45:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:57Speaker 4: And there were only four rows of first class, which
- 46:00Speaker 4: meant that half of the Delta One cabin did get
- 46:03Speaker 4: bumped to coach.
- 46:04Speaker 1: Imagine, oh, if that had happened to you.
- 46:06Speaker 5: At that point, I'm suing. I'm suing at that point.
- 46:08Speaker 1: Imagine if that had happened to you.
- 46:09Speaker 5: I mean, lawyers are getting involved.
- 46:11Speaker 1: They have to drag me off.
- 46:13Speaker 5: I wonder what I would have done.
- 46:14Speaker 4: I probably would have been like, I'm just going to
- 46:16Speaker 4: get off and just rebook me tomorrow.
- 46:18Speaker 5: I'm going to take a.
- 46:19Speaker 1: I'll drive. I'll just drive home.
- 46:20Speaker 5: That's one of those ones where you just sit in
- 46:21Speaker 5: the airport for a couple hours and just think about it.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:24Speaker 5: I'll take the 6 a.m.
- 46:26Speaker 4: Flight in the morning and we'll ask the guys to
- 46:29Speaker 4: record in the evening or whatever when I get home
- 46:31Speaker 4: because I'm not.
- 46:33Speaker 5: Have you guys ever missed a flight or a flight
- 46:36Speaker 5: got canceled or something and you're just so fucked that
- 46:38Speaker 5: you're just sitting in the airport and just don't even
- 46:42Speaker 5: have a flight? You're just sitting there? I've had times
- 46:44Speaker 5: at LaGuardia where I've just sat there and just been like,
- 46:47Speaker 5: I'm so unbelievably fucked right now and there's nothing I
- 46:51Speaker 5: can do.
- 46:51Speaker 4: I haven't gotten to that level of desolation. By the way, though,
- 46:58Speaker 4: I have so much pressure in the back of my
- 47:01Speaker 4: skull right now.
- 47:02Speaker 5: I mean, I.
- 47:03Speaker 1: Because the A330 isn't as pressurized as the 380. The
- 47:07Speaker 1: 380 has airtight pressurization.
- 47:10Speaker 5: Everything hurts.
- 47:10Speaker 1: You're basically outside the plane. You're like Snoopy in a
- 47:13Speaker 1: cartoon with a fucking scarf flapping behind you.
- 47:20Speaker 5: I mean, a red eye is like there's no winning
- 47:22Speaker 5: on a red eye. No, I think it's actually worse
- 47:25Speaker 5: than like recovering from like like a hangover or like
- 47:28Speaker 5: being like you feel like sick for like a week straight. Yeah. Yeah.
- 47:32Speaker 5: Did you sleep at all today?
- 47:34Speaker 4: I got home, and thanks to all the fucking traffic,
- 47:38Speaker 4: by the time I got back, I slept for an
- 47:41Speaker 4: hour and a half.
- 47:42Speaker 5: So you're running off of no sleep. Yeah, I don't
- 47:44Speaker 5: feel good. That's brutal.
- 47:46Speaker 4: And I have a dentist appointment after this, which is
- 47:50Speaker 4: why we went earlier rather than later.
- 47:51Speaker 5: That would be an immediate cancel for me.
- 47:54Speaker 4: Well, I already missed it last week, remember?
- 47:57Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, true.
- 47:58Speaker 1: Miss it again.
- 48:00Speaker 4: No, I can't.
- 48:00Speaker 5: I don't want to do it. You're going to fall
- 48:01Speaker 5: asleep in the chair. That's okay.
- 48:03Speaker 1: That would be nice.
- 48:04Speaker 5: Why not? Disrespectful to the dentist. Really?
- 48:07Speaker 1: Snoring in their face.
- 48:08Speaker 5: They said it happens all the time.
- 48:10Speaker 1: You hear?
- 48:10Speaker 5: Let's go.
- 48:11Speaker 1: Open.
- 48:12Speaker 5: Open up. You keep closing your mouth. You're grinding your
- 48:17Speaker 5: teeth in your sleep. Just chewing the tools to dust.
- 48:23Speaker 1: Stephen Chay says he falls asleep during haircuts, which I
- 48:26Speaker 1: could never imagine. I don't even know if my neck's
- 48:29Speaker 1: strong enough.
- 48:29Speaker 5: That's such a little boy move. That's so insane. You're
- 48:31Speaker 5: looking at yourself in the mirror. How do you fall
- 48:33Speaker 5: asleep looking at yourself?
- 48:35Speaker 1: I think when you're Asian, it's like less of a.
- 48:37Speaker 4: They're already flying at half past.
- 48:41Speaker 5: The gap to fall asleep is a lot.
- 48:42Speaker 1: It's a little bit easier for them. They get to
- 48:45Speaker 1: sleep faster.
- 48:46Speaker 5: Can you guys hold it down for a second? I
- 48:47Speaker 5: have to go to the bathroom. Of course. Is that okay?
- 48:49Speaker 5: Of course, brothers. Of course.
- 48:52Speaker 1: Sass you uh you had your big show last night.
- 48:54Speaker 5: With lev oh yeah huge show how was it it
- 48:59Speaker 5: was good it was fun there was there was some
- 49:01Speaker 5: nasty nasty rumors being spread about me after the show
- 49:04Speaker 5: that i did not approve.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Of that you sit in a chair while you do
- 49:07Speaker 1: comedy sitting that i sat not even on a stool
- 49:10Speaker 1: in a chair yeah.
- 49:10Speaker 5: They said that i they said that i sat and
- 49:12Speaker 5: then i bombed which none of those things were true
- 49:15Speaker 5: both of those.
- 49:16Speaker 1: Were fake it's okay if you did no i actually
- 49:19Speaker 1: i actually had a it's okay if you sit not
- 49:21Speaker 1: if you bomb i did not bomb that shit is
- 49:23Speaker 1: not okay i definitely did not bomb um i actually
- 49:26Speaker 1: had a decent set solid i wouldn't say i wouldn't
- 49:28Speaker 1: say i crushed my my clothes are crushed that's for
- 49:31Speaker 1: damn near applause break new shit no um but i
- 49:37Speaker 1: definitely don't sit what's the like implication if you sit
- 49:43Speaker 1: why is it so bad to sit.
- 49:44Speaker 5: It's not bad to sit it's just kind of something
- 49:47Speaker 5: that like you don't do unless you're the guy that
- 49:49Speaker 5: sits you know unless you're like unless you've earned that
- 49:54Speaker 5: ability to.
- 49:55Speaker 1: It's like leaning up at like the front of the
- 49:56Speaker 1: 7-eleven yeah like only a couple guys can do that.
- 49:59Speaker 5: Yeah exactly i'm just not one of those guys that.
- 50:01Speaker 1: Can sit you can't start off sitting.
- 50:04Speaker 5: No no it's also like a 10 minute set i'm
- 50:07Speaker 5: not gonna sit down and for a 10-minute set.
- 50:10Speaker 1: What do people who sit do? Are they trying to
- 50:12Speaker 1: project confidence?
- 50:13Speaker 5: No, I mean, it is like a thing where people sit,
- 50:15Speaker 5: like Big Jay sits, you know, like a lot of people,
- 50:20Speaker 5: there are people that sit, like Chappelle will sit, but
- 50:22Speaker 5: it's mostly like people, I think it kind of like
- 50:25Speaker 5: caters to their style almost. Like Jay is like so
- 50:27Speaker 5: like casual, but like, It comes off super casual, but
- 50:31Speaker 5: he's super quick and funny. So I don't know. But
- 50:34Speaker 5: for me, it would be insane if I was sitting down.
- 50:37Speaker 1: It's not because he's heavyset, right?
- 50:39Speaker 5: No, I don't think so. Got it. What do you
- 50:41Speaker 5: think if I... Pretty much I did Lev's show last night,
- 50:45Speaker 5: and then Lev started spreading rumors after the show that
- 50:48Speaker 5: I was sitting on the stool during my set. Just
- 50:50Speaker 5: for fun, he was saying that? Yeah, which I was like,
- 50:53Speaker 5: he said that, and then he said I bombed. And
- 50:54Speaker 5: I was like, I would rather people think I bombed
- 50:56Speaker 5: than think that I sit in the stool.
- 50:59Speaker 4: There was a moment where people were doing that.
- 51:01Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, some people do, but I really feel
- 51:03Speaker 5: like it's like me sitting would be insane.
- 51:05Speaker 1: Zach said it was hacked. He said that when Chappelle
- 51:07Speaker 1: does it, it's hack.
- 51:08Speaker 5: No, when Chappelle does it, he's the one who's allowed
- 51:11Speaker 5: to do it. Yeah, no, that's what I just said.
- 51:13Speaker 5: Now Roan's doing what Lev did. He's lying.
- 51:16Speaker 1: They lied.
- 51:16Speaker 5: I tried to tarnish my name. You're a good name.
- 51:19Speaker 1: Do you think that the first time that you sit
- 51:20Speaker 1: on a stool, it's like an old guy who goes
- 51:22Speaker 1: outside with a toupee? And you're like, the world's going
- 51:24Speaker 1: to see me differently.
- 51:25Speaker 5: Yeah, definitely.
- 51:26Speaker 1: It's got to be a big decision.
- 51:27Speaker 5: I've never even considered. They're going to know how relaxed
- 51:30Speaker 5: I am.
- 51:31Speaker 1: They're going to think I'm handsome.
- 51:32Speaker 4: This guy's been doing this forever.
- 51:34Speaker 1: He's always had stool.
- 51:35Speaker 4: He's so tired of stand up that he can't.
- 51:40Speaker 1: Anymore.
- 51:40Speaker 5: I need to be standing. I feel like I don't
- 51:42Speaker 5: deliver my jokes well.
- 51:43Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like leaning forward in your video games.
- 51:45Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 51:46Speaker 1: You didn't go to the bathroom at all.
- 51:47Speaker 4: I didn't go to the bathroom because I have a
- 51:50Speaker 4: really special surprise for present Monday.
- 51:52Speaker 5: Hell yeah. This is a big one. Let's see. What
- 51:55Speaker 5: do we got?
- 51:56Speaker 4: You guys know the routine. I promise you I'm not doing...
- 51:58Speaker 4: I hope it's.
- 51:59Speaker 1: A high noon.
- 51:59Speaker 5: Because it's Monday.
- 52:00Speaker 1: If it's a high noon, that's all you need to
- 52:03Speaker 1: give me.
- 52:03Speaker 4: You guys got to close your eyes and put out
- 52:05Speaker 4: your hands. I promise it's not the toilet kit, okay?
- 52:08Speaker 5: Close your eyes.
- 52:09Speaker 1: Close them.
- 52:11Speaker 5: Don't open them yet. Don't open them yet.
- 52:14Speaker 1: Don't open it yet.
- 52:16Speaker 5: Don't open it yet.
- 52:18Speaker 1: Can I thumb it?
- 52:19Speaker 5: I'm feeling it.
- 52:20Speaker 1: I already know what it is.
- 52:22Speaker 5: It's a gun. Holy shit. This is the entire... collection.
- 52:29Speaker 4: Oh my god delta airplane pilot trading card that.
- 52:35Speaker 5: Is crazy where did you get these.
- 52:37Speaker 1: Wow sass didn't believe that there was a a330 we
- 52:40Speaker 1: just got an a330.
- 52:42Speaker 5: Card oh my god.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Right next to the a321 neo i feel.
- 52:46Speaker 4: Like taylor lawan right now this is crazy one of
- 52:50Speaker 4: one a330 oh.
- 52:53Speaker 5: My god i just pulled the team usa Let's rip
- 52:55Speaker 5: some packs.
- 52:59Speaker 4: I got the A321 game flown jersey card that actually
- 53:03Speaker 4: has a piece of the plane. It's got a piece
- 53:07Speaker 4: of the black box they found floating in the ocean. Wow,
- 53:11Speaker 4: that's vintage.
- 53:12Speaker 5: That's pretty good.
- 53:13Speaker 4: I've made this joke before, but if you hold it
- 53:15Speaker 4: up to your ear, you can actually hear the pilot
- 53:18Speaker 4: saying goodbye to his wife.
- 53:21Speaker 1: To McDonald Douglas.
- 53:25Speaker 5: Have you got these graded?
- 53:27Speaker 4: No, I just opened it. They just arrived.
- 53:30Speaker 5: We got to get these in sleeves. I know. Did
- 53:33Speaker 5: anyone get an A380?
- 53:34Speaker 4: We all have the whole thing. Remember you were like,
- 53:38Speaker 4: there's certain ones that are going to be worth hundreds.
- 53:40Speaker 5: We can get them all. Now we all have complete sets.
- 53:43Speaker 1: I don't have an A380.
- 53:46Speaker 5: I think whoever sold you these, they held out.
- 53:48Speaker 1: They probably took all the A380s and gave us the fucking.
- 53:51Speaker 4: Because the A380s are worth the most. I have an A330, A350,
- 53:56Speaker 4: I have a bunch of A350s.
- 53:58Speaker 5: I got two, I got, oh yeah, I got four A350s.
- 54:02Speaker 5: Do you have the Team USA one? Yeah, I have
- 54:03Speaker 5: the Team USA one. Well, the Team USA one's by
- 54:07Speaker 5: far the coolest. That's definitely a limited edition. I don't
- 54:10Speaker 5: know if we can.
- 54:10Speaker 1: The McDonnell Douglas?
- 54:11Speaker 5: Punch in on that a little bit.
- 54:13Speaker 4: But there's some refractors in here, like the ones that
- 54:17Speaker 4: have the sparkly... Um, the sparkly, uh, here, look, look
- 54:22Speaker 4: at this one. Like this one here, the A321 has
- 54:25Speaker 4: a sparkly refractor.
- 54:28Speaker 5: I think that's probably what you flew yesterday. You think?
- 54:31Speaker 5: The 321.
- 54:31Speaker 4: Dude, I, again, you keep giving, I'm telling you, it
- 54:34Speaker 4: was a piece of shit, seven something. 737 would be
- 54:39Speaker 4: what I guessed that it was.
- 54:40Speaker 5: 737 is a fairly big plane.
- 54:43Speaker 1: It's no 777. No, of course not.
- 54:45Speaker 5: Of course not. I believe the 777 is the longest
- 54:49Speaker 5: passenger plane.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Yeah, that would have made me sick. But thank you, Francis.
- 54:54Speaker 1: We need to get these signed.
- 54:55Speaker 5: These are sick.
- 54:56Speaker 4: These are courtesy of the pilot.
- 54:58Speaker 5: You know what I'm going to do? I'm going to
- 54:59Speaker 5: start giving these to the pilots. Oh.
- 55:02Speaker 1: You should give them your own card.
- 55:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 55:04Speaker 1: You should give them your stand-up card of you in
- 55:05Speaker 1: a stool bombing.
- 55:08Speaker 4: Let me just quickly shout out the awesome Delta pilot
- 55:11Speaker 4: who hooked this up.
- 55:11Speaker 5: This is.
- 55:13Speaker 4: pilot shank mitch shank he's the man delta pilot um
- 55:19Speaker 4: told me he wishes that he could pull some strings
- 55:21Speaker 4: and get me 360 but unfortunately they have no power
- 55:25Speaker 4: in that department i believe him shout out to all
- 55:29Speaker 4: the delta pilots you know This is sick.
- 55:32Speaker 1: Did you see Delta Pilot recognize Minty and got a
- 55:35Speaker 1: video with him or a picture with him this past weekend?
- 55:37Speaker 5: No.
- 55:38Speaker 1: Imagine getting noticed by a pilot at the airport.
- 55:40Speaker 4: Don't tell me that because that totally devalues my experience.
- 55:43Speaker 1: That's devastating. Minty got some of the early 90s cards
- 55:48Speaker 1: from the Delta Pilots. He has throwbacks, vintage.
- 55:53Speaker 5: What number is your guys' Team USA one?
- 55:58Speaker 1: Is there a reason I didn't get the Team USA?
- 56:00Speaker 5: Oh, you didn't get Team USA?
- 56:02Speaker 4: I've got card number 79. That's so embarrassing. It's the
- 56:06Speaker 4: square one, Ron. I got card 79.
- 56:09Speaker 5: I got card 63.
- 56:11Speaker 1: Yeah, but mine isn't.
- 56:13Speaker 5: Wait, I have card 79. No. Hold on. Hold the phone.
- 56:18Speaker 1: Wait, I have card 79.
- 56:20Speaker 5: I have two Team USAs.
- 56:22Speaker 1: Did someone give us it? You have two squares?
- 56:25Speaker 5: Yeah, you only have one? I think I only have one. Yeah.
- 56:29Speaker 1: I know but are these counterfeit we all have the
- 56:31Speaker 1: same numbers these all have the same serial numbers i.
- 56:33Speaker 4: Think it'll be just card number 79 by the way
- 56:37Speaker 4: if captain mitchell shank.
- 56:39Speaker 1: Captain shank what kind of operation are you running here pilot.
- 56:42Speaker 5: Got these forged imagine you printed these at home did
- 56:47Speaker 5: you guys see the major trust issues.
- 56:49Speaker 1: There's a new prank that's going wild on the internet
- 56:51Speaker 1: that uh People are going up to the pilot on
- 56:54Speaker 1: the way out and being like, was that a first
- 56:55Speaker 1: major landing?
- 56:55Speaker 5: I saw that.
- 56:56Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Was it a first what landing? First
- 56:58Speaker 1: officer landing?
- 56:59Speaker 5: First officer landing.
- 57:00Speaker 1: Was that a first officer landing? And whoever's there will
- 57:03Speaker 1: either be like, it was.
- 57:05Speaker 5: No, why?
- 57:06Speaker 4: That's funny because I had a pilot recently who over
- 57:10Speaker 4: the intercom told us that that was the first officer landing.
- 57:14Speaker 1: Not making me look fucking bad.
- 57:15Speaker 5: This guy was a jokester.
- 57:17Speaker 4: He was a jokester. He was very funny too.
- 57:21Speaker 1: We got to start asking him.
- 57:22Speaker 5: I guess so. I feel like that's a wild move
- 57:24Speaker 5: to throw his boy under the bus like that. Well,
- 57:27Speaker 5: it was a fine landing, though. Oh. Okay.
- 57:29Speaker 1: Oh, so he was gassing him.
- 57:31Speaker 5: He's gassing. That's good. Yeah, that is good gas.
- 57:33Speaker 1: Yeah. Or it's the ultimate act of humility if it wasn't,
- 57:36Speaker 1: and if it's just the pilot being like, no, he
- 57:37Speaker 1: did it. Yeah. Hey, thank him. Get his card on
- 57:39Speaker 1: the way out.
- 57:40Speaker 4: I'm surrounded by good people.
- 57:42Speaker 1: Yeah, when it's really you. When you're really the MVP.
- 57:46Speaker 1: Any pilots, I encourage you guys to do that move.
- 57:48Speaker 1: You see me on a flight, pull that move. I'll
- 57:50Speaker 1: reverse card you with a Sasquatch Limited Edition and a
- 57:53Speaker 1: Francis San Francisco Rookie card.
- 57:55Speaker 5: That's pretty damn good. This Team USA one is so sick.
- 58:00Speaker 1: You're putting way too much stress on the outsides of it,
- 58:03Speaker 1: and you smudge them up mightily.
- 58:05Speaker 5: You need to handle them more carefully, Harry.
- 58:07Speaker 1: You basically have no value left in your cards. Touching
- 58:11Speaker 1: the middle of the card.
- 58:12Speaker 5: I mean, my Team USA one is way cooler than
- 58:14Speaker 5: both of you. You don't even have one, so that's
- 58:16Speaker 5: probably why you're being so nasty right now.
- 58:18Speaker 1: That's like grabbing a glass of wine by the stem
- 58:20Speaker 1: like a Neanderthal. Like, dude, you've never been here before,
- 58:23Speaker 1: and you look like a fucking fool.
- 58:25Speaker 5: Maybe I'll try to give this to one of my
- 58:26Speaker 5: Hertz guys. Don't you dare. Say, hey, I got something
- 58:31Speaker 5: for you. I'm a pilot. And waive that $ 500 fee.
- 58:35Speaker 1: Or like when you're at a restaurant or someone takes
- 58:37Speaker 1: care of your bags, they ask for a tip.
- 58:39Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
- 58:40Speaker 1: I got something. I'll do you one better.
- 58:41Speaker 5: Yeah, Team USA.
- 58:43Speaker 4: This is our version of Leo DiCaprio in Catch Me.
- 58:46Speaker 5: If You Can. Yeah, with the white card.
- 58:48Speaker 4: Dresses up as a pilot, has nine women on his arm.
- 58:51Speaker 5: I was thinking of Greg Gatsby, my bad.
- 58:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I was thinking of Gangs of New York.
- 58:57Speaker 5: I was thinking of the white card of Greg Gatsby.
- 58:59Speaker 5: You know how they go to pull him over and
- 59:02Speaker 5: he doesn't even stop. He just waves the card and
- 59:04Speaker 5: they all back off. Oh, yeah. Yeah. That's what I
- 59:06Speaker 5: was thinking.
- 59:07Speaker 4: Okay.
- 59:07Speaker 5: Oh, I'm fine with that. You should be able to
- 59:09Speaker 5: get an upgrade if you have one of these. Free upgrade.
- 59:12Speaker 1: Trade it in in person. Yeah, you really never get
- 59:14Speaker 1: to trade in actual certificates anymore.
- 59:16Speaker 5: No Delta I? Does this change your mind? I am
- 59:19Speaker 5: an Olympian.
- 59:20Speaker 1: Now are the seats laid down? That would have been
- 59:24Speaker 1: such a nice gift.
- 59:25Speaker 5: I know. Yeah, so that was my weekend.
- 59:29Speaker 1: Still very nice, Francis. I'm looking forward to framing these
- 59:32Speaker 1: or putting them in an album of some sort.
- 59:34Speaker 5: Well, you can give them to your boys to chew on. Oh,
- 59:37Speaker 5: they'll have a great time chewing on those.
- 59:39Speaker 4: They'll soften those corners up real nice.
- 59:41Speaker 1: They'll rip through them. This isn't a teething exercise.
- 59:46Speaker 5: I might get like the Logan. You know how like
- 59:47Speaker 5: Logan Paul has like the chain with the Pokemon card?
- 59:50Speaker 5: I'm going to get that for the teething exercise. That's
- 59:52Speaker 5: a fun idea.
- 59:52Speaker 4: I actually quite like that idea.
- 59:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 59:55Speaker 4: A perfect 10 out of 10.
- 59:57Speaker 5: Grading. Yeah. What's the company that does the gradings? P something. PSA. Yeah,
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: it's a PSA.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: A PSA rating.
- 1:00:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: I'm going to put some syrup in between these and
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: serve these to my kids.
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: Love that.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: I'm going to give it to them like ratatouille.
- 1:00:15Speaker 5: Just a dish. Was he shuffling them before he got them?
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: Does he have a.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: Was dad shuffling the lasagna?
- 1:00:21Speaker 5: Don't they have a weird... They have the bend like
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: he was shuffling them.
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: Well, he put a rubber band around them, which that'll
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: be the first thing PSA tells you not to do.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: Oh, man. So it's not a picture of the actual pilot.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Because I always kind of pictured that it was the.
- 1:00:39Speaker 5: I thought it was the picture of a pilot and
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: then the plane next to it. That would be cool.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: That would make them even more valuable. I mean, they
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: should be doing that. I would pay more for a
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: Delta flight if they did that. Or I'd consider switching
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: to another airline if they were making heroes out of
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: their pilots.
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: That would be sick. Like if you had like the
- 1:00:55Speaker 5: first officer one. Yeah. First pilot. What is it? First officer?
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: First mate.
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: First mate. Flight attendant cards.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: The poop deck.
- 1:01:03Speaker 5: Imagine you have like a hot flight attendant and you
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: get her card. Yeah. Holy shit.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Holy shit, a Jenny James. I got a Jenny James
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: original flight.
- 1:01:16Speaker 5: You got the gay black flight attendant's card?
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: Oh, man.
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: Oh, so, okay.
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: The A350 is the queen of Delta's fleet. Delta's most
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: modern and efficient international wide-body jet. Cutting-edge aerodynamics, wing-morphing technology...
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: 25% more efficient in fuel burn, operating costs, yada, yada.
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: It's a leader in sustainability. But if this is the queen,
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: that means there must be a king.
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: The A380. It might be the 777, to be honest,
- 1:01:52Speaker 5: for Delta.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: I mean, why would they give us this entire deck
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: and not have a single 777? Because they're holding out.
- 1:01:59Speaker 5: I don't know that they have an A380. They might not.
- 1:02:03Speaker 5: You might be right about that. But if they don't,
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: then wouldn't it be the 777? Those are like the
- 1:02:08Speaker 5: two big boys. They got to have one of them.
- 1:02:12Speaker 5: I like how it says how many seats there are.
- 1:02:15Speaker 5: This is pretty cool. These are way cooler.
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: We're going to have to spend more time with these.
- 1:02:19Speaker 5: Dude, my engines on my A350H, two Rolls-Royce Tren XWBs.
- 1:02:27Speaker 5: Isn't that amazing? Oh, my God.
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: Rolls-Royce, after all these years, is still making the engines
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: for these things?
- 1:02:32Speaker 5: It's crazy. That's awesome. 275 seats is kind of small, though, no?
- 1:02:41Speaker 5: For the queen?
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: You'd think the queen would hold a little bit more.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: Hold a couple more souls. I wonder what big Trump is.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: I wonder what he's flying on.
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: A380. Is it? No.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: What's the movie where they're taking off in Air Force One?
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: Is it Independence Day? And Air Force One has to maneuver?
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, to get away from the exploding it is
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: independence day that shot always was amazing because the fire's
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: right on their tail i've never seen it.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: You think that the pilot of uh air force one
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: can can maneuver like that definitely his plane is even
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: maneuverable though absolutely have you.
- 1:03:18Speaker 5: Ever seen dude you got to watch those videos of
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: like the air shows where people where they do commercial
- 1:03:22Speaker 5: planes like the commercial planes can do everything that those
- 1:03:26Speaker 5: like tiny fighter jets are not everything obviously but like
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: they can do like crazy shit it's just like they
- 1:03:31Speaker 5: don't because there's people on it Like I saw a
- 1:03:35Speaker 5: video of someone taking off an A380 at an air
- 1:03:38Speaker 5: show and he goes 90 degree angle straight up.
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:03:41Speaker 5: Like those planes can do that. They just don't. Damn.
- 1:03:44Speaker 5: Because it wouldn't be comfortable for people in the plane.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: That's like having a Lamborghini.
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: You have to be hitting eight G's. Just take off
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: for your red eye.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: Or like having a Ferrari as a taxi.
- 1:03:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: And you're just like.
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: You're just going like a horse pace. Like they never
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: hit the knobs. No, they don't.
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: Sad. Sad. No, they do not. No, they do not.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: We've got to get one of those air shows.
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: Man, I was road raging hard last night driving. I
- 1:04:13Speaker 5: don't know what it is, but I just can't drive anymore.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: Yeah, you've always sucked at it.
- 1:04:17Speaker 5: No, I'm so good at it, which is why it's
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: so frustrating. It's like video.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: Games, honestly.
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: Would you mind not putting your feet.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: On the gift?
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: Oh, my God. That is actually so rude. I'm so sorry.
- 1:04:27Speaker 5: It's a fresh gift.
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: Harry is using the gift as a footrest a foot
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: coaster coaster i put.
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: It right on the team usa one surely this three
- 1:04:43Speaker 5: dollar table that we have should not have our feet
- 1:04:47Speaker 5: on it let's use the gift.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: You'll leave a ring from this the stan smiths i
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: know the vintage stan smiths these things are they can kind.
- 1:04:54Speaker 5: Of do shoes bad Look at the bottom of them.
- 1:04:57Speaker 5: Can't afford them now that Hertz just took all my money.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: Dogs are barking. There's just flaps open.
- 1:05:02Speaker 5: I'm going to have to walk to LaGuardia to get those.
- 1:05:08Speaker 5: I need that 500 back now.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: Looks like a hobo. I'm going to have to ride
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: a train to LaGuardia. I followed a guy on TikTok
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: that rides the trains like a hobo, like a modern
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: day hobo.
- 1:05:22Speaker 5: Oh, really?
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:05:23Speaker 5: Subways?
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: No, no. Like freight trains.
- 1:05:26Speaker 5: Oh, cool.
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: I always wondered if that might be a good life.
- 1:05:30Speaker 5: It's not. It definitely isn't. Probably not. Have you ever read,
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: what is that book?
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: Hobo Johnson?
- 1:05:36Speaker 5: The Lincoln Highway? No. Because that's good. It's by the
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: dude that sings those songs that Bob Dylan used to like.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Woody Guthrie?
- 1:05:44Speaker 5: Woody Guthrie's book.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: Did he ride the rails?
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: In the beginning of it, he's riding on the rails
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: and it sounds fucking terrible. Yeah. It's just dust flying
- 1:05:54Speaker 5: in everyone's faces the whole time.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: Bugs.
- 1:05:56Speaker 5: Yeah. And then you also got to consider you're with
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: a bunch of other homeless dudes.
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:06:00Speaker 5: So they all start fighting on the train, throwing shit
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: at each other. Someone falls off.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: You're basically in a holding cell.
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: It's like the same level of people you can't leave.
- 1:06:10Speaker 5: I bet you could do it well now, though, like
- 1:06:12Speaker 5: in a little bit more of a modern era.
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: This guy was a TikToker. He was completely well put together.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: He was talking through the logic of everything that he
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: was about to do, when he was going to go
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: from one to another, why it was doing certain things.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: He knew the ins and outs of the rails. He
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: was a high-class stowaway.
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: I love that. Get a little PlayStation setup going in there.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: Yeah. Play GTA. Oh, yeah.
- 1:06:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: It'd be sick to be playing GTA in the rails.
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: The new GTA looks insane. I don't know if you
- 1:06:41Speaker 5: guys are like up to date with like the leaking
- 1:06:43Speaker 5: in video games. It's like a big thing. So like
- 1:06:46Speaker 5: this GTA 6 has been in development for 13 years. Right.
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: And so it always gets leaked. They always have someone
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: that leaks the game before it comes out. And they
- 1:06:56Speaker 5: leaked it. And then they like, I saw a video
- 1:07:00Speaker 5: of like a body cam of like people going to
- 1:07:03Speaker 5: this dude's house and being like, You this random guy
- 1:07:07Speaker 5: tweeted and was like, GTA is going to get leaked
- 1:07:10Speaker 5: on this date. He would supposedly he claims this was
- 1:07:14Speaker 5: just all coincidence. He has no attachment to it whatsoever.
- 1:07:16Speaker 5: But like people from Rockstar Games came to his house
- 1:07:21Speaker 5: like they were like FBI agents and like interrogated him
- 1:07:24Speaker 5: in his front yard. For video games. Isn't that fucking crazy?
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: Do they have the right to do that? Do they
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: have the jurisdiction? They've got to be out of their jurisdiction.
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: Yeah, I doubt it.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: I don't think that you're living in the Rockstar universe.
- 1:07:37Speaker 5: No, no. I mean, I doubt they had a warrant
- 1:07:40Speaker 5: or anything, but I guess if he's willing to talk
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: to them, they can. You know? Yeah, what the fuck?
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: I also saw a video of Call of Duty that
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: did the same thing. They're going to like, because cheating
- 1:07:50Speaker 5: is such a big thing in video games, and there's
- 1:07:52Speaker 5: like cheat developers online. and they're going to the developers'
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: houses and serving them cease and desists. Imagine being a
- 1:08:00Speaker 5: dude who is just like, well, first of all, you've
- 1:08:02Speaker 5: got to be a scumbag to do that in the
- 1:08:03Speaker 5: first place, but imagine getting that knock on the door.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: And it's Rockstar Games with earpieces like they're the Secret Service.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: Get the fuck out of here.
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: You have to feel pretty cool, I would think, in
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: a way, because you're on their radar. You've earned the
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: house call from your heroes.
- 1:08:22Speaker 5: I feel like you probably got to feel pretty like ashamed.
- 1:08:24Speaker 5: I don't know. Probably not. Those guys probably make so
- 1:08:27Speaker 5: much money. It's so fucking crazy though. How many people
- 1:08:31Speaker 5: cheat in video games now?
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Like you just be bad at the game buddy you
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: just like you're like you're blaming cheating you're just bad now.
- 1:08:39Speaker 5: Me dude i don't know you're talking about me.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: Yes dude you're not good at video games anymore.
- 1:08:43Speaker 5: I'm saying that's what i just said i said just
- 1:08:45Speaker 5: be bad like everyone else.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: You're saying that everyone cheats and it's like it's not
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: fair to you you.
- 1:08:50Speaker 5: Guys that you have no idea what you're talking.
- 1:08:52Speaker 4: About you're saying there's no way for you to be
- 1:08:54Speaker 4: good because the whole table is unfair.
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: Well first of all that's not a problem for me
- 1:08:59Speaker 5: because I'm not in good enough lobbies to be getting played,
- 1:09:02Speaker 5: playing against cheaters constantly. But in every game I've played,
- 1:09:06Speaker 5: I've come across cheaters many, many times. It's just not
- 1:09:09Speaker 5: like a super frequent thing for me. But if you're
- 1:09:11Speaker 5: like a higher level player, the only people you play
- 1:09:14Speaker 5: against are cheaters because they are the highest level. Cheaters are?
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: Yes. Or they're really good. What about the really good
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: players playing against really good players?
- 1:09:26Speaker 5: It's blatant. They're spinning around rapidly in 360s hitting every
- 1:09:30Speaker 5: single shot. There are minor types of cheating, but there's
- 1:09:36Speaker 5: also the hardcore cheating.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: I kind of get it. It's like playing Madden on
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: all rookie. You just sometimes you play video games. You
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: just want to get a win.
- 1:09:45Speaker 5: But then just do that. Just play Madden on all rookie,
- 1:09:48Speaker 5: you know, like play Call of Duty against bots. You
- 1:09:50Speaker 5: can set up a bot lobby easily.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:09:52Speaker 5: If you want to, like, feel like you're you're shitting
- 1:09:55Speaker 5: on people.
- 1:09:55Speaker 4: Just set up a bot lobby.
- 1:09:57Speaker 5: You think, Francis?
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: I think that if that's what you're going to do,
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: if you're going to want to cheat, you should just
- 1:10:01Speaker 4: do a bot lobby.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: Exactly. All right.
- 1:10:04Speaker 5: It's actually a great point. Wish I said that first.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: Francis, I do appreciate that you said that.
- 1:10:11Speaker 5: That was very smart of you.
- 1:10:12Speaker 4: Well, you know, I found it from deep within the
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: fumes of my stupor.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't believe how... Did you eat anything in
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: between this flight of yours? Did you fuel up? I
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: just saw you actually crushed a smoothie. Your body will
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: thank you for that.
- 1:10:28Speaker 5: Yeah, that's a good treat for the organs. They'll love that.
- 1:10:32Speaker 5: I had two wake-up wraps. Two? Two. Damn.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: How many cows is that?
- 1:10:38Speaker 5: I think they're about 310 each. That's not bad.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: This episode is brought to you by ZocDoc. ZocDoc lets

- 1:10:58Speaker 1: from real patients and detailed doctor profiles. When I messed
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: up my knee, I knew that I had to go
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: to my good friends over at ZocDoc. They got me
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: into a care provider right away the same day. It
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: was like 1030. I went on ZocDoc by 1130. I
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: was in an office. If you have a problem, ZocDoc

- 1:11:46Speaker 1: slash boydad.
- 1:11:47Speaker 5: I got a new fishing rod, the Recon, the Orbis Recon.
- 1:11:50Speaker 5: That's one of my favorites. Apparently, it's what they used
- 1:11:53Speaker 5: to use to make the nicest rod now. It's similar,
- 1:11:57Speaker 5: but it's way cheaper. But I haven't been able to
- 1:11:59Speaker 5: use it at all. I haven't been fishing at all, really,
- 1:12:01Speaker 5: since Wyoming. I'm thinking about getting a car.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: I was thinking about getting a fucking very small boat.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: Would you like to go in with me on that?
- 1:12:10Speaker 5: For what reason?
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: I don't know. But like the smallest boat you can get,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: but parking it at like the Brooklyn Marina and just
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: having it in Brooklyn and being able to take my
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: boat out onto the East River and the Hudson, just
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: going around New York. Wouldn't that be kind of nice?
- 1:12:24Speaker 5: That would be nice.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: What do you think about that instead of a car?
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: We all go in on a boat.
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: I don't know if I would want a boat for
- 1:12:30Speaker 5: like here.
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: Yeah, but you could probably find a nook and cranny.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: You go up to Throgs Neck, there's probably a honey hole.
- 1:12:36Speaker 5: Yeah, but I would rather get a boat that I
- 1:12:39Speaker 5: can put on like a trailer or something and take
- 1:12:42Speaker 5: it to like a fresh water source.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: But being able to city bike over to your boat,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: you never need a car.
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: Yeah, city biking over to your boat that's in the
- 1:12:49Speaker 5: Hudson and then getting fucking bodied by like a freight
- 1:12:52Speaker 5: boat or whatever.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: Or the Beast. Have you seen the Beast that rips
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: up and down the East River?
- 1:12:56Speaker 5: I don't think so. Whose boat?
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: No, it's like a boat that you like that has
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: like a smiley face of like a shark on the
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: front of it. And it like does like 180s and
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: like you get you're supposed to like splash up the
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: East River water on you. It's like a wild ride.
- 1:13:10Speaker 5: That sounds great.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: Getting splashed by the Beast while you're on your little
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: dinghy up to Throg's neck.
- 1:13:15Speaker 5: Getting splashed by just a shit ton of chemicals and waste.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: Yeah, your hair disintegrates.
- 1:13:22Speaker 5: Is it burning for anyone else?
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: Ray, just get in on this boat with us.
- 1:13:29Speaker 5: I will.
- 1:13:31Speaker 4: I had a friend who had a boat in a marina,
- 1:13:34Speaker 4: the one that's on the waterfront in Brooklyn.
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the one I want.
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: Yeah, and he told me, I don't think the slips were,
- 1:13:43Speaker 4: the slips were not as expensive as I had thought
- 1:13:45Speaker 4: they would be. I don't remember what it was, but
- 1:13:48Speaker 4: they weren't that expensive. Effectively, you could get a boat,
- 1:13:52Speaker 4: park it on one of those slips, and then I
- 1:13:54Speaker 4: presume sleep on your boat and not pay rent, and
- 1:13:58Speaker 4: that's your home. Yes.
- 1:14:00Speaker 5: Interesting. Is there any sort of tax breaks for living
- 1:14:02Speaker 5: on a boat? I doubt it.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: There's a guy, another TikTok that I follow, a guy
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: who's like floating in like Tennessee down like a river
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: or something like that. And he doesn't pay any taxes
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: to anybody. And the only rule is you have to
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: like move every like 14 days or something like that.
- 1:14:18Speaker 5: Interesting.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: And you just have to keep your little houseboat floating
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: down the river.
- 1:14:21Speaker 5: No boot on the boat.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: You can't boot a boat.
- 1:14:23Speaker 5: You can't boot that up.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: You can't boot a boat.
- 1:14:25Speaker 5: Good luck.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: You just float a little bit more down the river.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: And he's like, he's also a TikToker. He can like
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: film his little videos. He just, I think he paid
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: a thousand dollars total for it. And now he just
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: floats down the river professionally.
- 1:14:37Speaker 5: What do they call foundering the motor? Is it foundering it? What?
- 1:14:41Speaker 5: Were you fouling, fouling the motor? What does that mean?
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: Do you know those illegal whaling boats that the government
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: will stop and they'll throw nets in front of them
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: so that they catch the propellers.
- 1:14:54Speaker 5: To foul them?
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: Oh, really?
- 1:14:55Speaker 5: Yeah. I've never seen that, no.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: Yeah, they do.
- 1:14:59Speaker 4: Yeah, poaching boats and stuff like that. But that's what
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: you're describing sounds like Huckleberry Finn.
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm describing a bit of a Finn situation.
- 1:15:09Speaker 5: A guy living on a raft. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: But it's like a modernized version of a raft. I
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: think that it's kind of, you can live off the
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: grid and pay nothing and not be a bum.
- 1:15:20Speaker 5: They're not even doing that though. These are all fake
- 1:15:23Speaker 5: people that are making TikTok videos from their parents' boat.
- 1:15:27Speaker 5: It's like, I live on this thing and I float
- 1:15:30Speaker 5: every 14 days. He gets on the boat for an
- 1:15:33Speaker 5: hour and films 15 videos.
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: It's not a kid. It's an old man. Yeah. These are,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: it's not like a glamorous, well-edited video.
- 1:15:41Speaker 5: It's like that kid that was doing those videos like
- 1:15:43Speaker 5: where he was like, I live in the smallest apartment
- 1:15:45Speaker 5: in New York City. Remember that kid? Yeah. He came
- 1:15:47Speaker 5: on the yak. Yeah. And everyone was like, this guy's
- 1:15:49Speaker 5: a superstar.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: And it was a set that he was living on.
- 1:15:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: Inside of a 5,000 square foot studio.
- 1:15:58Speaker 5: Industry plant. Like that girl that was here. I saw that. Yeah,
- 1:16:01Speaker 5: the girl. The girl who did the song. Yeah. Yeah, well,
- 1:16:03Speaker 5: that girl came to the office. What?
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: She's not a fucking industry plant.
- 1:16:06Speaker 5: What do you mean she's not an industry plant?
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: I was natively following her TikToks before this song came out.
- 1:16:12Speaker 5: Yeah, Rowan's a big fan. Rowan got the call from
- 1:16:14Speaker 5: her dad. He's getting an extra M.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: This is fucking.
- 1:16:19Speaker 5: Extra M around Christmas. You want a boat? I can
- 1:16:21Speaker 5: sort that out.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: Music's a meritocracy, bro. You either like music or you don't.
- 1:16:27Speaker 4: Bruh.
- 1:16:28Speaker 5: It's clearly she's clearly an industry.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: Can't help but think about you.
- 1:16:32Speaker 5: She's got what's her name?
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: Stella Lefty. Yeah. She's got fucking dude. I brought her
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: up on like a year ago. Yeah.
- 1:16:40Speaker 5: I mean, that's that's that's fine.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: She's not industry, bro.
- 1:16:43Speaker 5: But you're the only person that knows about her. And
- 1:16:45Speaker 5: all of a sudden she's like doing like TD Garden.
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: That's not true at all. I've realized that I've never
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: heard that entire Ella Langley song, and it's trending to
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: be the number five song that's ever been listened to
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: by human beings.
- 1:16:58Speaker 5: Another industry plant? No, she's not, bro.
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: She came from the mud. She's poverty.
- 1:17:03Speaker 5: Industry plant? Anyone who all of the sudden becomes an
- 1:17:07Speaker 5: A-list celebrity overnight, industry plant.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Just because Dochi was an industry plant and she was
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: your favorite, and you got the wool pulled over your eyes.
- 1:17:16Speaker 5: No.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: You used to come in here being like, my anxiety
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: is somebody's watching me.
- 1:17:22Speaker 5: But that Stella lefty girl is literally the definition of
- 1:17:26Speaker 5: an industry plan.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: No, she's not, bro.
- 1:17:27Speaker 5: No, she literally is. How is she? What do you mean,
- 1:17:30Speaker 5: how is she? Don't play stupid just because you're a fan.
- 1:17:33Speaker 5: You can be a fan of her music and also
- 1:17:35Speaker 5: admit that she's an industry plan.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: What does that mean, that she has a label?
- 1:17:38Speaker 5: She came to Barstool immediately. I was like, that's odd.
- 1:17:41Speaker 5: I've never had no idea who this person is. And
- 1:17:43Speaker 5: all of a sudden, everyone at the company is like
- 1:17:45Speaker 5: lining up to take photos with her. When was that?
- 1:17:47Speaker 5: Like a couple months ago. Tommy Smokes has taken photos
- 1:17:50Speaker 5: with her. He doesn't know who she is.
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: Everybody knows who she is. Just because you're fucking cosplaying
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: as a 65-year-old fucking retired PGA Tour player, that doesn't
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: mean that you have to fucking act like there's not
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: people who listen to young music.
- 1:18:06Speaker 5: This is a bad argument. Actually, I feel bad. I
- 1:18:08Speaker 5: don't even know if I want to take it any
- 1:18:10Speaker 5: further because I think you're wrong. I think you're wrong.
- 1:18:12Speaker 5: I think you know it, too.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: That she's an industry plant? Yeah. But I independently liked
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: her music.
- 1:18:18Speaker 5: You are allowed to like industry plants.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: I mean, yeah.
- 1:18:26Speaker 4: Can you tell me what an industry plant is?
- 1:18:28Speaker 5: It's someone that no one knows about and then all
- 1:18:30Speaker 5: of a sudden has a stadium tour booked. Because what?
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: Like Michael Jackson, like industry plant.
- 1:18:39Speaker 5: Michael Jackson was like the most talented guy ever.
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: Oh, just like Stella Lefkowitz.
- 1:18:45Speaker 5: He's getting paid. You must be getting paid for this.
- 1:18:48Speaker 5: Is the idea that they... they're breaking you off a piece.
- 1:18:52Speaker 4: That the powers that be decide her dad is.
- 1:18:55Speaker 5: The founder of grubhub or of uh groupon groupon so
- 1:18:59Speaker 5: you're accusing.
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: Her of being a nepo baby.
- 1:19:03Speaker 4: Noted noted star discovering company.
- 1:19:06Speaker 5: Exactly all of the biggest artists have come from Groupon.
- 1:19:11Speaker 5: It's because they're going to, people are going to use
- 1:19:12Speaker 5: Groupons to get tickets to her shows. Buy one, get 700. Yeah. No,
- 1:19:24Speaker 5: but like, like she has not really, she has what,
- 1:19:29Speaker 5: one popular song, popular.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: She had at least three before that. We'll be slow
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: dancing with lights down low. That was a bop. She
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: had Can't Help But Think About You. I don't know
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: any of these. Because you don't listen to music.
- 1:19:42Speaker 5: I listen to music all the time.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: You listen to like The Spoken Word of Andrew Santino. No, no, no.
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: Your favorite podcast.
- 1:19:48Speaker 5: No, I listen to a lot of music.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: You're a spoken word guy, and that's okay.
- 1:19:50Speaker 5: I listen to a ton of music, and she's never
- 1:19:52Speaker 5: come up on anything of mine.
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: Because you listen to Bloodhound Gang.
- 1:19:56Speaker 5: Apparently, she plagiarized her biggest song from Noah Kahn. She
- 1:19:59Speaker 5: stole his song, and then she claimed that she doesn't
- 1:20:02Speaker 5: even think she was like, I never even thought about
- 1:20:04Speaker 5: that song. And then people found there's like 17... tiktoks
- 1:20:07Speaker 5: of her singing that song this is the side you're
- 1:20:10Speaker 5: on plagiarism.
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: That she had the same chord progression as him.
- 1:20:14Speaker 5: It's the same song there's like listen to the song
- 1:20:17Speaker 5: it's the same exact song sing them bro i'm gonna
- 1:20:20Speaker 5: this is a noah podcast by the way of.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: Course no it doesn't sound like it from your side
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: no it gets paid off that song he's a writing credit.
- 1:20:27Speaker 5: Because it was either that or she was going to
- 1:20:29Speaker 5: go to jail.
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: She was never going to go to jail, bro. She
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: was never going to go to jail. If someone makes
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: music and it's good, that's not being an industry plant.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: You could say she's nepo because she had the way
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: to pay for the best studios and people like to
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: collaborate with her.
- 1:20:50Speaker 5: You can't get a tour the size of the tour
- 1:20:53Speaker 5: that she just booked without the entire industry backing you.
- 1:20:56Speaker 5: It's not possible.
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: If you're famous on TikTok, fucking executive who writes their
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: meal plans via chat GPT will instantly give you a tour.
- 1:21:07Speaker 5: No. You have to have a ton of connections in
- 1:21:11Speaker 5: the industry. If I were to start, if I wanted
- 1:21:13Speaker 5: to all of a sudden just book an arena tour,
- 1:21:15Speaker 5: I literally cannot do that. I can't call my agent
- 1:21:19Speaker 5: and be like, let's book MSG.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: Because you're not Stella Lefty.
- 1:21:23Speaker 4: Is that because your dad didn't work hard enough?
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: I guess, yeah.
- 1:21:27Speaker 5: But Stella Lefty's not famous enough to be doing, no
- 1:21:30Speaker 5: one knows who she is.
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: You don't know who she is.
- 1:21:32Speaker 5: No one knows who she is.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: There's comics that have stadium tours that like most people
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: who watch TikTok don't know about.
- 1:21:40Speaker 5: But they have, they are selling tickets and they've already
- 1:21:42Speaker 5: proved that they can sell tickets. She has proven that
- 1:21:45Speaker 5: she cannot sell tickets.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: She hasn't.
- 1:21:47Speaker 5: I've seen shows of her where she's sitting at like
- 1:21:49Speaker 5: a children's baseball field. This cannot be true. I promise.
- 1:21:53Speaker 4: You're talking about how you've like investigated the empty seat
- 1:21:57Speaker 4: capacity of her shows.
- 1:21:58Speaker 5: I've done that for everyone. I know you do that,
- 1:22:00Speaker 5: but I don't think you did it for Stella. i
- 1:22:04Speaker 5: don't think you did it for still i think.
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: This is just a new.
- 1:22:07Speaker 5: Thing you're gonna naturally take ron's side here which i understand.
- 1:22:12Speaker 4: No i'm actually not i'm in the middle on this
- 1:22:14Speaker 4: one frankly i'm too tired to actually be part of this.
- 1:22:17Speaker 5: One ron's typically the one that's right here i right
- 1:22:20Speaker 5: in this scenario he's so unbelievable.
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: You just have a terminally it's actually.
- 1:22:24Speaker 5: Like it's hard to have the conversation.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: Right now You're echoing the echo chamber. So you saw
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: someone write this about her and you're regurgitating it.
- 1:22:34Speaker 5: I was saying this way before anyone was saying it.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: You were saying it before she was famous that she
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: wasn't famous. The day she came into the Barstool.
- 1:22:40Speaker 5: Office, I was saying it. Because I was like, who
- 1:22:43Speaker 5: is this person? And then I looked her up. Because
- 1:22:45Speaker 5: there's videos of everyone at the office being like, they're like,
- 1:22:48Speaker 5: oh my God. She has a top five song on Billboard.
- 1:22:53Speaker 5: The video of the people in the office meeting her
- 1:22:55Speaker 5: came off like they were like, Like they like I mean,
- 1:22:57Speaker 5: you can tell us the I mean, I know you
- 1:22:59Speaker 5: probably signed like an NDA or something, so you probably
- 1:23:01Speaker 5: can't get too into it. But you're clearly getting a
- 1:23:04Speaker 5: percentage of the tour.
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: Dude, I just thought it would be a good idea
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: for her to capitalize while the TikTok audience are still
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: right in her hand. Exactly.
- 1:23:13Speaker 5: Why do you hate her so much? I don't. I
- 1:23:14Speaker 5: don't hate her at all.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: He just has an idea of like what nepotism is.
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: And it's like, yes, I agree that you shouldn't be
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: like gifted the CEO of the company if you're a
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: fail son who just is like being propped up in front.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: But like people who started listening to her music online,
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: they didn't find out until later that her dad is
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: this famous guy. So it's like if you like somebody's song. Yeah.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: That doesn't have anything to do with who their parent is.
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: So did you listen to Magnus Ferrell's song, Will Ferrell's son?
- 1:23:47Speaker 5: No.
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: No. Is his music allowed to be good or?
- 1:23:50Speaker 5: No. Is he quite, he's a musician?
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: Yeah, he has good music. He also came into Barstool offices.
- 1:23:58Speaker 5: Oh, cool.
- 1:23:59Speaker 4: But that's cool. I mean, that's a cool thing to
- 1:24:02Speaker 4: know is that Will Ferrell's son.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: He makes like Robin Thicke style music. Oh, I like
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: Robin Thicke. It's like sexy and like.
- 1:24:09Speaker 5: I know you want it.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like that.
- 1:24:13Speaker 5: 17 million monthly listeners.
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: And it's like, unless you came from the slums of Mumbai,
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: Sass isn't going to fuck with your music.
- 1:24:20Speaker 5: 17 million monthly listeners. On what? Spotify.
- 1:24:25Speaker 4: For who?
- 1:24:26Speaker 5: Stella Lefty.
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: And you think that's... manufactured or do you think that
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: they sold the tour based off the realistic listeners i.
- 1:24:32Speaker 5: Think they got i think it's like you open like
- 1:24:34Speaker 5: stella lefty's living room and it's got one of those
- 1:24:36Speaker 5: servers where there's like seven million.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: Phones a click farm.
- 1:24:40Speaker 5: Yeah seven million phones just playing the song on repeat on.
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: 5x like indian dudes with like a bunch of mattresses behind.
- 1:24:50Speaker 5: Yeah yeah it's pretty hard to not know someone at
- 1:24:54Speaker 5: all like you've never even heard this person's name I
- 1:24:56Speaker 5: don't know shit, man. And they're one of the top
- 1:24:59Speaker 5: listened people on all of Spotify. Like that's up there
- 1:25:01Speaker 5: with like Ed Sheeran.
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: She's popular this summer. You're like you're finding out for
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: the first time that new music comes out.
- 1:25:10Speaker 5: I know music. I listen to music and I keep
- 1:25:12Speaker 5: up with the new music. And this is this is out.
- 1:25:15Speaker 5: This is like when Chapel Roan all of a sudden
- 1:25:18Speaker 5: she's headlining the biggest concert of all time. And it's like,
- 1:25:21Speaker 5: where did this person even come from? Do you think
- 1:25:22Speaker 5: she's an industry plant? Oh, yeah. But I think Chapel
- 1:25:25Speaker 5: Rowan's really talented. She is.
- 1:25:29Speaker 4: Then I don't entirely understand your point here.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: You're saying that industry plants, I mean, like, anybody that
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: has a label backing and is pushed is an industry plant.
- 1:25:37Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: He's like, NSYNC was industry plants. Not because, like, everybody
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: loved them when they were little girls.
- 1:25:45Speaker 5: I don't think it's possible to get to the place
- 1:25:47Speaker 5: that some of these people get without the backing of, like,
- 1:25:51Speaker 5: the titans of the industry. So let me ask you this.
- 1:25:54Speaker 4: One Direction was formed by Simon Cowell.
- 1:25:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:25:58Speaker 4: When all those guys separately auditioned or whatever for fucking
- 1:26:02Speaker 4: The X Factor or Britain's Got Talent or some shit.
- 1:26:05Speaker 4: And he was like, okay, well, individually, they're not that great,
- 1:26:07Speaker 4: but I'm going to put them all in a band together.
- 1:26:09Speaker 4: And they became one of the biggest bands in the world.
- 1:26:11Speaker 5: Yeah. Is that industry plant? Yes.
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: Well, don't tell me Jelly Roll is an industry plant.
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: Our brother Jelly Roll.
- 1:26:19Speaker 5: Don't make me say it.
- 1:26:20Speaker 4: Don't.
- 1:26:20Speaker 5: Bro, wait, wait, wait.
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: Yes. And dude, we have you in 4K parlaying with
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: Jelly Roll.
- 1:26:28Speaker 5: I like Jelly Roll. He's a great guy.
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: But you're saying he's industry plant now? Because that's someone
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: you said was your brother and you threw your head
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: back laughing with him.
- 1:26:34Speaker 5: I don't think I said he was my brother. I
- 1:26:36Speaker 5: did throw my head back laughing with him. Had a
- 1:26:38Speaker 5: great time. Much respect to Jelly Roll. But you don't...
- 1:26:41Speaker 5: It's not like you just randomly become the guy that's
- 1:26:44Speaker 5: hosting every single world show and you're at every single thing.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: Or someone just gets hot.
- 1:26:49Speaker 5: Someone's making the call saying we need Jelly Roll here.
- 1:26:53Speaker 5: Is it not possible.
- 1:26:54Speaker 4: Because I'm asking this because it's something that I've seen
- 1:26:57Speaker 4: where someone realizes that a new hot name has done
- 1:27:01Speaker 4: something that's popped. And then all of a sudden everyone
- 1:27:04Speaker 4: wants to like capture that too for their own benefit.
- 1:27:08Speaker 5: No, I think that is what it is. But that's not, that's.
- 1:27:11Speaker 4: Not necessarily like we're going to keep featuring this person
- 1:27:14Speaker 4: in order to push them forward. It's we're going to
- 1:27:17Speaker 4: feature this person for our own benefit.
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: SaaS can't differentiate between someone being marketable and being an
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: industry plant.
- 1:27:24Speaker 5: Correct.
- 1:27:24Speaker 4: That seems like what you are conflating.
- 1:27:30Speaker 5: I think everyone is an industry plant to an extent.
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: What if someone sells out a comedy stadium? Or what
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: if someone sells out a football stadium doing comedy? Is
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: that an industry plant?
- 1:27:39Speaker 5: Of course not. Okay. If you're going to try to
- 1:27:45Speaker 5: get me to talk bad about my brother Shane, I
- 1:27:47Speaker 5: never will.
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: Well, I'm just trying to see where the line is.
- 1:27:50Speaker 5: Shane came from the mud.
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: He was eating beans. And Jelly did it? Jelly wasn't
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: outside fucking freestyling in Antioch?
- 1:27:56Speaker 5: Stella Lefty wasn't eating beans like Shane was.
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: Jelly Roll was eating beans.
- 1:27:59Speaker 5: So was Jelly Roll. Jelly Roll was.
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:28:02Speaker 4: I can tell you definitively that I am not an
- 1:28:05Speaker 4: industry plant because I.
- 1:28:08Speaker 5: Should have been. Yeah, yeah, of course.
- 1:28:11Speaker 4: And nobody has pushed me for it. like i it's
- 1:28:14Speaker 4: almost it's almost sad to me that i i feel
- 1:28:18Speaker 4: like i could have been and then they were like
- 1:28:22Speaker 4: no he's not good enough.
- 1:28:24Speaker 5: It's tough it happened look it happens you know at
- 1:28:27Speaker 5: least you're not a an attempted industry plant that failed
- 1:28:30Speaker 5: you know oh.
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: Right you got recalled yeah rfk recalled you pull you
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: back the blueberries are bad.
- 1:28:37Speaker 5: Yeah they never pushed me for it. But the Stella
- 1:28:39Speaker 5: Lefty thing, like, I just feel like there's way more
- 1:28:42Speaker 5: that happens and goes into it than, like, people think.
- 1:28:45Speaker 5: Or maybe more than I think. Like, I think it's
- 1:28:48Speaker 5: just weird when no one is talking about this person.
- 1:28:52Speaker 5: No one knows who they are. All of a sudden,
- 1:28:54Speaker 5: Roan brings them into Barstool. Did you? It was you?
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: Her people did say I was the first person to
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: talk about her in a podcast.
- 1:29:02Speaker 5: And then out of nowhere, it's like, you can't go
- 1:29:05Speaker 5: anywhere without seeing this person. To me, it seems like
- 1:29:08Speaker 5: the money just went through. The investment was just put
- 1:29:10Speaker 5: into place.
- 1:29:11Speaker 4: It was almost a piece of insider trading going on.
- 1:29:17Speaker 5: I think it involves clip farms. Are you guys aware
- 1:29:20Speaker 5: of these clip farm things that people do?
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: We just talked about one.
- 1:29:22Speaker 5: Yeah, but this is an actual thing that regular people
- 1:29:25Speaker 5: do and pay for.
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: Of course.
- 1:29:27Speaker 5: You pay- And they and they have they have like
- 1:29:31Speaker 5: seven million accounts and they just start clipping all of
- 1:29:33Speaker 5: your shit and posting on all of these.
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: I don't know if it's clip farm, but I saw
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: that the dude Dan Rappaport, who used to do golf
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: at Barstool, has more followers than Dave now. Oh, yeah.
- 1:29:42Speaker 5: You think he got bought it? Oh, yeah.
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: I bought it. What's that? So what's that?
- 1:29:45Speaker 5: That happens on Twitter. I don't know why. I don't
- 1:29:47Speaker 5: know why people do it, but people randomly just get
- 1:29:49Speaker 5: like a million bot followers.
- 1:29:51Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: Well, Lord, please bought me.
- 1:29:53Speaker 5: Well, there's no benefit. And if anything, it probably kills
- 1:29:55Speaker 5: your engagement.
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: What do you mean? That numby being high, bro. That's
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: all people. That's what they sell the ads against. He
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: could probably get a world tour right now.
- 1:30:02Speaker 5: Yeah, he probably could.
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: What if Stella Lefty just got bought?
- 1:30:04Speaker 5: Probably good.
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: What if she just got bought? Are you going to
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: blame her then?
- 1:30:08Speaker 5: No, I wouldn't. I wouldn't blame her for getting bought.
- 1:30:10Speaker 5: I'm just I just am curious. Like, there's a lot
- 1:30:13Speaker 5: of artists out there who have these massive, massive stadium tours.
- 1:30:17Speaker 5: And it's like, I don't know a single person who
- 1:30:19Speaker 5: listens to the music or is going to the shows.
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: This is like the flat earther of the music industry.
- 1:30:25Speaker 5: Do you get a call? Am I the only one
- 1:30:28Speaker 5: not getting the call? Like, hey, you're going to the
- 1:30:30Speaker 5: Stella Lefty show. We're paying you $ 10, 000 to be there.
- 1:30:33Speaker 5: Are you talking to me? No, I'm talking to Roan.
- 1:30:39Speaker 5: Roan's had enough, though.
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: No, I'm here for it.
- 1:30:42Speaker 5: He's waving the white flag.
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: Let's go through the stand-up comics that have done arenas
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: this year.
- 1:30:47Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: And I'll see how many of them....
- 1:30:51Speaker 5: I'll tell you which ones are plants and which ones aren't.
- 1:30:54Speaker 5: The thing is, I don't really think comedy is really like,
- 1:30:56Speaker 5: are they industry planting?
- 1:30:58Speaker 4: I know someone that you would say is an industry
- 1:31:00Speaker 4: plant in comedy. I know for a fact you would
- 1:31:03Speaker 4: say this person is.
- 1:31:04Speaker 5: I've got a couple on my mind.
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: The Impractical Jokers?
- 1:31:06Speaker 5: No, they came from the roots. They're the roots of comedy.
- 1:31:11Speaker 5: That's a staple.
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: Ali Wong?
- 1:31:15Speaker 4: No.
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: She's doing arenas.
- 1:31:19Speaker 5: Ali Wong's been around forever.
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: Okay. I mean, I don't... Oh, she was from Beef.
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: That's the lady from Beef?
- 1:31:26Speaker 5: She's great, yeah.
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: She's great?
- 1:31:28Speaker 4: Her first couple specials were very, very good.
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I know more about Stella Lefty than
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: Ali Wong.
- 1:31:34Speaker 5: But Ali Wong's been doing comedy for like 400 years.
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: Is Burt Kreiker an industry plan?
- 1:31:39Speaker 5: Stella Lefty started making music two weeks ago. Is Burt
- 1:31:41Speaker 5: Kreiker an industry plan? No, Burt's been doing comedy forever.
- 1:31:43Speaker 4: You go to like a fucking Funny Bone in Hartford, Connecticut,
- 1:31:47Speaker 4: and there's a picture of him on the wall when
- 1:31:49Speaker 4: he looks.
- 1:31:51Speaker 4: Unrecognizable to who he is now which means he was
- 1:31:55Speaker 4: there like 40 years.
- 1:31:57Speaker 5: Earlier Stella like how long has Stella left you been
- 1:31:59Speaker 5: making music she's like 22 so not long at all
- 1:32:03Speaker 5: she's young how do you naturally get how do you
- 1:32:08Speaker 5: naturally get From I don't make music at all to
- 1:32:13Speaker 5: I'm now doing stadiums a year later with zero support.
- 1:32:16Speaker 4: But isn't this just like a phenomenon that we love
- 1:32:20Speaker 4: in show business is like discovering the unknown and then
- 1:32:24Speaker 4: elevating them overnight, overnight success.
- 1:32:28Speaker 5: It's overnight success. Why does that have to.
- 1:32:29Speaker 4: Have the only to me, the only thing that's like
- 1:32:32Speaker 4: suspicious here for you is that this woman, this girl
- 1:32:35Speaker 4: has a billionaire father.
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: And you're saying because of that, it excludes her from
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: being able to be a musician.
- 1:32:43Speaker 5: I'm not saying it excludes her from being a musician.
- 1:32:45Speaker 5: She can be a musician if she'd like.
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: Same way that James Dolan is a musician.
- 1:32:48Speaker 5: But usually you'd see people put more years into their
- 1:32:51Speaker 5: craft or put more effort into it before.
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: They're doing stadiums. Because she didn't do open mics. Because
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: she didn't do Lev's show.
- 1:33:00Speaker 5: I don't think that's how it works in music. I
- 1:33:03Speaker 5: don't know. I think like kid musicians, I mean... Hanson?
- 1:33:09Speaker 4: Do you remember the band Hanson?
- 1:33:10Speaker 5: Never even heard of it. Mbop? Nah.
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: But I mean, to his definition, industry plant. To a
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: lot of people growing up, it's like, oh, you got signed.
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: And so that means they're going to throw some gasoline
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: on you and you blow up. I mean, a lot
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: of people would probably say going to Barstool is industry plant. Like, oh,
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: Lil Sasquatch, this guy from the internet that nobody's ever
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: heard of?
- 1:33:31Speaker 5: Hold the phone. I had 400,000 followers before I got hired.
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: Yeah, but you probably got botted. This is the same
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: as Rappaport.
- 1:33:38Speaker 5: That's just disrespect. Now that's just disrespect.
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: Well, you disrespected Rappaport.
- 1:33:41Speaker 5: Look, let's be honest.
- 1:33:42Speaker 4: I know your dad owns the entire Minneapolis airport, so
- 1:33:46Speaker 4: don't try to tell me that you're not a plant.
- 1:33:48Speaker 4: By the way, the Jonas Brothers. My point is that
- 1:33:51Speaker 4: these were kids that were talented musicians, and they were
- 1:33:55Speaker 4: jamming and doing shit, and then some fucking talent scout
- 1:33:59Speaker 4: from an agency saw them, Signed them and then put
- 1:34:02Speaker 4: money behind them and gave them proper studio hours and
- 1:34:04Speaker 4: like a good, you know, fucking engineer.
- 1:34:07Speaker 5: Like Olivia Rodrigo. Would you say she's an industry plant?
- 1:34:10Speaker 5: She's so talented. Hold the phone. Her voice is amazing.
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: You're coming off anti-women, bro. This is very anti-women of you.
- 1:34:20Speaker 5: I don't think this is anti-women. This is just I'm
- 1:34:21Speaker 5: speaking about the state of the industry.
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: You're like young women suck.
- 1:34:25Speaker 5: But no, would you say Olivia Rodrigo is an industry plant?
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: I think she's talented.
- 1:34:29Speaker 5: But is she an industry– I'm not saying she's not talented.
- 1:34:31Speaker 5: I'm saying is she an industry plant?
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: I don't think she's an industry plant. She has multiple
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: good albums.
- 1:34:35Speaker 4: So it's like– I don't think she's– I don't mean
- 1:34:38Speaker 4: to throw smoke. At worst, she may not be writing
- 1:34:40Speaker 4: her own songs. But that to me doesn't– that's true
- 1:34:44Speaker 4: of so many musicians.
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: I think that we maybe have different definitions of industry plant.
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: And then that's the crux of this issue.
- 1:34:52Speaker 5: That might be. Yeah. I just feel like if you're
- 1:34:56Speaker 5: like an actor and then all of a sudden you're
- 1:34:58Speaker 5: a musician, it seems like to me they were like, OK,
- 1:35:01Speaker 5: the acting is not working out. Let's throw all the resources. Completely.
- 1:35:04Speaker 4: You're pivoting your argument now. That's a totally different take.
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: Honestly, like a lot of people online are saying that
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: she's an industry plant, but you've done such a bad
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: job defending it. That is like she's she's kind of
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: off the hook.
- 1:35:17Speaker 5: I know.
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: She now she's sat next to all these other.
- 1:35:20Speaker 5: Terrible argument for me. I don't know what, as soon
- 1:35:22Speaker 5: as we started talking about it, I just like my
- 1:35:24Speaker 5: brain went into a fog, like trying to think of
- 1:35:27Speaker 5: all my reasonings. And I just can't find anything.
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: Yeah, because you hadn't been prepared to defend the position
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: that she's in. She hasn't even been making music that long.
- 1:35:36Speaker 5: I got nothing.
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: It's because I've been honing my argument against this online.
- 1:35:41Speaker 5: It seemed like you were way more prepared for this.
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: Because I've thought about, I've thought about lefty, bro. I've
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: thought about this conversation. I've been wanting to have the conversation.
- 1:35:49Speaker 4: Oh my God. Can I tell you guys a quick
- 1:35:51Speaker 4: funny story?
- 1:35:52Speaker 5: Actually, you know what?
- 1:35:53Speaker 4: I want to just not do that in case we
- 1:35:55Speaker 4: want to keep talking about this.
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: Oh, no. I'm good. No, no. Actually, I was probably
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: ready for a story 10 minutes ago.
- 1:36:00Speaker 5: I waved to the white flag. I'm done.
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: I was waving to the white flag. I've admitted failure.
- 1:36:03Speaker 5: She's not. She came from hard work.
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: And I now will admit that they gave me 3%
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: of her future earnings on the next two albums if
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: I pump her on Bond School.
- 1:36:13Speaker 5: Wow, that's a lot. They gave you something. For sure.
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: A little sprinkle on top.
- 1:36:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: A little powdered sugar.
- 1:36:19Speaker 4: A lifetime of free Groupons.
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: Yeah. Why are you going to another group yoga class?
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: Why a wine tasting on a Monday?
- 1:36:30Speaker 4: Co-ed softball. Actually, I don't even really know what Groupon is.
- 1:36:36Speaker 5: It's like if you go to like Disneyland, you can
- 1:36:38Speaker 5: get like- So it's coupons. Pretty much. For groups.
- 1:36:41Speaker 4: Activities. Wow, I should have put that together myself.
- 1:36:45Speaker 5: The buy one, get 700 was my peak of that argument.
- 1:36:47Speaker 5: That was funny. Everything else was just a catastrophe.
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: You should have changed the subject right then.
- 1:36:52Speaker 5: I like that.
- 1:36:53Speaker 4: But I dragged you into dark waters. I have a
- 1:36:55Speaker 4: very dear friend. I think I've spoken about him before.
- 1:36:59Speaker 4: One of my closest friends. He's a brilliant guy, but
- 1:37:02Speaker 4: has no... Well, I don't really know how to put it.
- 1:37:07Speaker 4: He tends to make mistakes on a human level that
- 1:37:11Speaker 4: sort of give evidence of maybe a lack of exposure
- 1:37:15Speaker 4: to some degree to things in life.
- 1:37:18Speaker 5: And he said... What's that?
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: Was it Gerben?
- 1:37:20Speaker 5: No, no. But... That's a good comp.
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: Mince? Ben Mince?
- 1:37:24Speaker 5: No. God, no.
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: So you're playing golf with mince. No.
- 1:37:29Speaker 4: My buddy texted our group chat and he goes, I
- 1:37:31Speaker 4: have something to tell you guys and you can only
- 1:37:33Speaker 4: make fun of me for it tonight.
- 1:37:35Speaker 5: After that, it has to be done. We were all like, okay, awesome.
- 1:37:37Speaker 4: Yes. What is this going to be? And he goes,
- 1:37:40Speaker 4: so we are moving offices. I have a water bottle
- 1:37:44Speaker 4: that is not see-through. And, uh, I opened it up
- 1:37:50Speaker 4: and noticed that there was what looked like some dirt
- 1:37:57Speaker 4: on the inside. And it turns out it was filled
- 1:38:01Speaker 4: with mold. I've been drinking out.
- 1:38:04Speaker 5: Of it for four years. Wow.
- 1:38:08Speaker 4: He goes i didn't it didn't even occur to me
- 1:38:11Speaker 4: that you had to wash it yeah i thought the
- 1:38:13Speaker 4: water washed it and he goes i genuinely think this
- 1:38:19Speaker 4: has been the reason that like i've been getting sick
- 1:38:22Speaker 4: and affecting my life and all of this um he's
- 1:38:26Speaker 4: been drinking out of the same water bottle with that
- 1:38:28Speaker 4: which holds he doesn't like open the top and let
- 1:38:32Speaker 4: it dry out For four years, filled with mold.
- 1:38:35Speaker 5: That's brutal.
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: He's been backwashing into the same water bottle. Like, that
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: bacteria is him. That's from him. It's not from the water.
- 1:38:44Speaker 5: I know.
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: It's from his fucking mouth and fucking the other shit
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: he's eaten and his germs.
- 1:38:49Speaker 5: That's brutal. That happened to Bo. He did the same thing.
- 1:38:51Speaker 5: Not four years, though. Four years. I mean, there must
- 1:38:54Speaker 5: have been a lot of molds.
- 1:38:58Speaker 4: Boy, the water from our coolers got this weird.
- 1:39:01Speaker 5: I don't know. I was feeling just feverish after the
- 1:39:05Speaker 5: drinking water. That is fucking brutal.
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: And there's no one he can blame or sue. It's
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: not like a class action lawsuit or you'd mold in
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: your apartment building like. You're just going to have to
- 1:39:17Speaker 1: eat it.
- 1:39:18Speaker 4: It's so funny to me because his reasoning does make sense.
- 1:39:22Speaker 5: Yeah, you wouldn't think.
- 1:39:24Speaker 4: He was like, it never occurred to me that I
- 1:39:26Speaker 4: would ever need to wash this.
- 1:39:28Speaker 5: Yeah, it's just water. I mean, how often are you
- 1:39:33Speaker 5: supposed to clean a water bottle?
- 1:39:35Speaker 4: Probably every couple of weeks. Maybe once a week.
- 1:39:38Speaker 5: Just throw it in the dishwasher. Yeah, I guess that
- 1:39:42Speaker 5: would make sense. Or I guess when you start seeing mold.
- 1:39:45Speaker 5: It's probably a good time to start cleaning it.
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: Was it metal? Had to have been. I don't know.
- 1:39:50Speaker 1: Like a Stanley?
- 1:39:50Speaker 5: Those metal ones are always getting moldy.
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: Do you guys have your water bottle?
- 1:39:56Speaker 5: No.
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: Like a go-to water bottle?
- 1:39:58Speaker 5: My body armor.
- 1:39:59Speaker 4: I do, but then I lose them constantly.
- 1:40:01Speaker 1: Some people have it. I mean, girls love to have
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: a fucking water bottle.
- 1:40:06Speaker 5: Filled with mold. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: But there's like trendy ones to get. It's like an
- 1:40:11Speaker 1: accessory for them. It's like a purse. No, I mean,
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: there's been like the Odwalla. There's been like a bunch
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: of iterations since the fact you said Stanley. That's like
- 1:40:20Speaker 1: being like Supreme is the best brand. You're stuck in 2016, brother.
- 1:40:24Speaker 5: Stanley is the industry plant of water bottles.
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: Yes, it's an industry. Like, where did Stanley come from?
- 1:40:29Speaker 1: Who is Stanley?
- 1:40:29Speaker 5: I'm not as in touch.
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: Who's Stanley's dad?
- 1:40:31Speaker 5: I'm not as in touch with the female teen cultures, Ron.
- 1:40:39Speaker 1: We listen to Stella Lefty and we wear pink on Thursdays.
- 1:40:43Speaker 5: No one is using Stanley's anymore.
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: We're all over that.
- 1:40:48Speaker 5: We're back to Hydro Flask. Oh, that's what I was
- 1:40:51Speaker 5: thinking of was the Hydro Flask. Okay. Not even Stanley.
- 1:40:55Speaker 5: That's like right.
- 1:40:56Speaker 1: It's an outdated reference.
- 1:40:57Speaker 5: You know who is Stanley? It's Stanley Lefty. So Lefty's
- 1:41:08Speaker 5: dad is Stanley Lefty. Stanley Lefty. Of Stanley and Groupon.
- 1:41:15Speaker 1: He invented the left-handed cup. It hadn't existed before.
- 1:41:20Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: But I mean, have you ever like cleaned a dog
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: bowl out after like they've used it for a week?
- 1:41:26Speaker 5: It's gross.
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: And it smells. I mean, I guess a dog's tongue
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: is grosser, but there's like a slickness to it.
- 1:41:32Speaker 5: Yeah, there's also like a film over it. Yeah. There's
- 1:41:35Speaker 5: like water left in it.
- 1:41:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:41:37Speaker 4: By the way, you said the dog's tongue is grosser.
- 1:41:39Speaker 4: Every dog owner will be like, well, actually, dogs' mouths
- 1:41:42Speaker 4: are supposed to be much cleaner than humans. And I
- 1:41:44Speaker 4: always know that those are the people who are constantly
- 1:41:47Speaker 4: like open.
- 1:41:48Speaker 5: Mouth kissing their dogs.
- 1:41:49Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:41:50Speaker 5: Definitely. Justifying. I hate that. When people do that.
- 1:41:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: When the dog's tongue is in the mouth.
- 1:41:57Speaker 5: Not I mean, that's fucking insane. I think there's there's
- 1:42:00Speaker 5: no beating around that. But I hate even when people
- 1:42:02Speaker 5: that are like like the dogs just like licking their
- 1:42:04Speaker 5: face like crazy. I get it. I do understand it.
- 1:42:09Speaker 5: Doesn't sound like you do. But it's a little much.
- 1:42:12Speaker 1: You do it. I've done it before.
- 1:42:14Speaker 5: You do it and then you throw on some Stella
- 1:42:16Speaker 5: Lefty in the background.
- 1:42:17Speaker 1: Can't help but think about you. I mean, I don't,
- 1:42:23Speaker 1: I'll like try to go past my dog's face and
- 1:42:25Speaker 1: like give him a hug. Yeah, yeah. But if they
- 1:42:27Speaker 1: give me a lick on the face, I'm not, I
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: also know that that's like damaging for the dog's psyche
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: if you push them away when they give you the lick.
- 1:42:33Speaker 5: On the face. Oh, yeah. I mean, there's nothing wrong with,
- 1:42:34Speaker 5: you know, if you get a lick, I'm not saying
- 1:42:36Speaker 5: you got to start, you got to shove the dog
- 1:42:38Speaker 5: across the room.
- 1:42:39Speaker 1: Paul!
- 1:42:39Speaker 5: Yeah, get the fuck off.
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: Of me, bro. Fucking gross, bro. You know I don't
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: like that.
- 1:42:45Speaker 5: I'm talking about the people that sit in it.
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: Did you ever open mouth kiss your dog?
- 1:42:50Speaker 4: I think it's like I would let Ruby lick my
- 1:42:54Speaker 4: face and then sometimes I'd be laughing and she'd get
- 1:42:57Speaker 4: the tongue and I'd be like... I wouldn't want it
- 1:43:01Speaker 4: to continue.
- 1:43:02Speaker 1: You're cold.
- 1:43:04Speaker 5: No.
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: You're a cold, cold old man.
- 1:43:06Speaker 5: No, no, no.
- 1:43:07Speaker 1: You are.
- 1:43:08Speaker 5: No.
- 1:43:09Speaker 1: I don't like the music the kids are listening to.
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: Don't let your dog kiss me.
- 1:43:13Speaker 5: I'm running a little cold today after this whole hurt situation.
- 1:43:16Speaker 5: This is the hottest I've ever been. Yeah, it's really
- 1:43:19Speaker 5: fucking hot in here.
- 1:43:20Speaker 4: I have to go to my dentist appointment. You guys
- 1:43:22Speaker 4: can keep podcasting if you want, but I can't miss
- 1:43:24Speaker 4: it for the second week in a row.
- 1:43:25Speaker 5: No, I think we're well over time. Oh, shit. Oh, God, dude.
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: Let's get the fuck out of here. Jesus Christ.
- 1:43:32Speaker 5: Yeah. All right. Thanks, everybody. All right. We will be
- 1:43:36Speaker 5: back on Thursday. Goodbye.
