- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's another week, which means we have another episode of
- 0:08Speaker 2: the Almost Famous podcast. Listeners. It's an exciting time of
- 0:13Speaker 2: The big reason is because we are getting back into well,
- 0:19Speaker 2: let's say, are regularly scheduled programming. The Bachelorette is around
- 0:24Speaker 2: the corner and we're getting be excited for it here.
- 0:26Speaker 2: So we're gonna start teasing this season, talking about this season,
- 0:30Speaker 2: talking about the men that will be competing. A part
- 0:36Speaker 2: of participating in this season, Ashley myself are here to
- 0:40Speaker 2: break down all the men. This is according to the
- 0:44Speaker 2: Variety articles.
- 0:45Speaker 3: So yes, so guys, you know how this goes. We've
- 0:48Speaker 3: done it.
- 0:49Speaker 2: We've probably done it at least twenty times. Now.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Ben is going to give his jump conclusion as to
- 0:55Speaker 3: who these guys are.
- 0:57Speaker 2: I can't believe I've never gotten in trouble. Not getting
- 1:00Speaker 2: in trouble is so impressive.
- 1:03Speaker 3: And yet I'm still scared to get in trouble. So
- 1:06Speaker 3: I don't like to do my my my jump impression
- 1:09Speaker 3: to them, so I'll give some tidbits about them.
- 1:13Speaker 2: I'm gonna be pretty judgmental today, is why. Well, before
- 1:17Speaker 2: we get started Ashley. I don't know if I'm just
- 1:22Speaker 2: seeing things on social media. You know, I don't know
- 1:25Speaker 2: what happens on social media very well or very often,
- 1:28Speaker 2: usually about one step behind. But I see these men
- 1:30Speaker 2: posting pictures. It's the first time I think that the
- 1:33Speaker 2: show has probably asked the men to post a picture
- 1:36Speaker 2: of themselves.
- 1:36Speaker 3: The first time they did this last season.
- 1:39Speaker 2: We'll see. Like I said, I'm one step behind. I'm
- 1:41Speaker 2: one season behind. That's fair. But their captions are about
- 1:47Speaker 2: as bad as I could imagine.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Okay, well, it's always more cringing to see guys post
- 1:52Speaker 3: on Instagram.
- 1:53Speaker 2: I'm a lover boy? What are you talking about? You
- 1:56Speaker 2: do your buddies call you a lover boy?
- 1:58Speaker 3: Like?
- 1:58Speaker 2: Who's calling you a lover boy? Or I'm a hunk? Wait?
- 2:03Speaker 3: Do you think that they give them the captions to
- 2:05Speaker 3: a post?
- 2:06Speaker 2: I think they're giving There's no way these dudes are
- 2:09Speaker 2: that bad. There's no way these dudes are that cringey.
- 2:12Speaker 2: If they are, we have a really hard season in
- 2:15Speaker 2: front of us. I don't believe they are. I think
- 2:17Speaker 2: the show and the social media team is saying, here's
- 2:20Speaker 2: how we see you. Here's the caption the post, and
- 2:22Speaker 2: they're saying whatever, I'll do it.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I know that in the contract they're like now
- 2:27Speaker 3: required to post whatever they ask them to.
- 2:32Speaker 2: What a weird switch. I mean, the show literally went
- 2:35Speaker 2: from being like, hey, let's not do anything.
- 2:39Speaker 3: It's all censored material. It's also that they give them
- 2:42Speaker 3: they can't post whatever they want.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Okay, well, the men have been released. We're gonna run
- 2:48Speaker 2: through them the day. Get your list in front of you,
- 2:51Speaker 2: get ready for a lot of fun. Again, I don't
- 2:54Speaker 2: know these guys. I'm sure they're all great. I'm sure
- 2:55Speaker 2: they're all very nice, they're all very handsome, they're fantas people.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Nothing I say today is true, Nothing I say today
- 3:03Speaker 2: is legitimate. It is all coming from the top of
- 3:06Speaker 2: my head, and it is all me being a fan
- 3:08Speaker 2: of the show and probably gonna be my first impressions
- 3:11Speaker 2: when they come on the show. Ashley take it away, Okay,
- 3:15Speaker 2: he's the first man. Okay.
- 3:16Speaker 3: So like like, like Ben just said, we are following
- 3:19Speaker 3: the Variety listing. So I think it's just alphabetical. I
- 3:24Speaker 3: don't know if the other listings are also alphabetical. But
- 3:27Speaker 3: if you do want to follow along exactly with us,
- 3:30Speaker 3: go to Variety Dot com type in gen TRN Bachelorette
- 3:33Speaker 3: and this will come up. Okay, First off is Aaron
- 3:37Speaker 3: and I feel like I have the most to say
- 3:40Speaker 3: about him because he is Noah Ebbs brother.
- 3:43Speaker 2: You know, Noah as an engaged to Abigail found love on.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Bachelor in Paradise. Those guys are one or guess two
- 3:51Speaker 3: of eleven kids, and these two are twins. There are
- 3:57Speaker 3: seven minutes apart, and Aaron is an aerospace engineer.
- 4:04Speaker 2: The interesting thing about the show is the argument, you know,
- 4:07Speaker 2: and I get it of Hey, we need all shapes
- 4:10Speaker 2: and sizes represented on this show. That has been a
- 4:13Speaker 2: conversation now for many years. We've seen, Eh, they get
- 4:18Speaker 2: a little better kinda sometimes Wait, what do you mean?
- 4:21Speaker 3: What do you mean they get a little better. I
- 4:24Speaker 3: think people would argue that they've gotten a little worse.
- 4:27Speaker 2: I think that's a fair argument too. I don't know.
- 4:29Speaker 2: I mean, I'm saying that I'm not giving them credit
- 4:32Speaker 2: for making it any better.
- 4:33Speaker 3: I'm saying it's like, eh, when we're talking about casting
- 4:36Speaker 3: in general, Yes, I feel like people would argue that
- 4:40Speaker 3: it was our era that was best casted.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Great, I can't I think you're right. I don't think
- 4:46Speaker 2: I can give the show any credit. My point to
- 4:47Speaker 2: all of this when I entered in with this was
- 4:50Speaker 2: I'm I'm very much on board with that, And the
- 4:53Speaker 2: reason is I'm sick and tired of all these dudes
- 4:55Speaker 2: having massive biceps, Like it feels like if you don't
- 4:58Speaker 2: have big biceps, you're not coming up on this show,
- 5:00Speaker 2: Like did you just think you're not welcome here? And
- 5:03Speaker 2: that's unfair to so many of us. Aaron has huge biceps.
- 5:08Speaker 2: You know what I think of Aaron. Aaron is the
- 5:11Speaker 2: brother who made fun of Noah for going on the show,
- 5:15Speaker 2: called him crazy, called him ridiculous, said it was the
- 5:19Speaker 2: stupidest thing ever. And then four years later he's still
- 5:22Speaker 2: single and he's saying, hey, buddy, can you help me
- 5:27Speaker 2: out here? And there's a reason this guy single mostly
- 5:31Speaker 2: because his biceps are so big, and they get it
- 5:34Speaker 2: in the way of any relationship he wants to have. Ben.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Why does he look nothing like Yoah?
- 5:41Speaker 2: Why do you look nothing like your sister?
- 5:43Speaker 3: He's a twin, you'd think that. I mean, I know,
- 5:45Speaker 3: I gets it they're fraternal, but you think that, look,
- 5:47Speaker 3: I look nothing like Lauren. You should go talk to
- 5:50Speaker 3: the internet. Who's convinced that we're twins.
- 5:52Speaker 2: You look nothing like Lauren. That is so funny.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Okay, Well, moving on. Austin has a mullet and he
- 6:00Speaker 3: is from San Diego, California.
- 6:02Speaker 2: He's twenty eight.
- 6:03Speaker 3: He's a sales executive and he just wants somebody to
- 6:08Speaker 3: love and appreciate his mullet.
- 6:11Speaker 2: He would love to be Justin Bieber just for a day.
- 6:15Speaker 2: I wonder why just for a day. And he doesn't
- 6:18Speaker 2: go anywhere without his retainers, and he's extremely terrified of snakes.
- 6:22Speaker 2: We won't know Austin he's gone. I mean he'll walk
- 6:25Speaker 2: into the house and out of the house in about
- 6:27Speaker 2: ten minutes. We will never see him talk. The reason
- 6:30Speaker 2: is because I don't trust any man who wears has
- 6:34Speaker 2: a mullet and a diamond gold chain in a picture
- 6:38Speaker 2: that's going to be promoted to the world.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Then you're good at this man. I do love listening
- 6:45Speaker 3: to you do this because you agree.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I don't think he's around much low. I don't think
- 6:50Speaker 2: he's around very long either.
- 6:52Speaker 3: I don't know I can actually see him being around.
- 6:54Speaker 3: He's got a warm face.
- 6:56Speaker 2: That's what we're looking for in relationships. You know what
- 6:59Speaker 2: I want My husband a warm face.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Warm face, Ben, You're like out of the loop because
- 7:05Speaker 3: you know, mullets are very popular right now.
- 7:08Speaker 2: They're very they're very trendy. You got to have a
- 7:11Speaker 2: decent hairline for the mole.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Wait does he not?
- 7:15Speaker 2: He's fine, he's nice. Scroll back up.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Okay, Brendan. He is thirty from Vancouver. He's a real
- 7:24Speaker 3: estate broker. He's obsessed with skydiving, will always pick dare
- 7:31Speaker 3: over truth, and has one time successfully snuck into Coachella. Okay,
- 7:38Speaker 3: two things here.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Wow man, two things here.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Yeah, he's wild so skydiving okay, but always picks Dare
- 7:45Speaker 3: over truth. Like all three of these fun facts tell
- 7:47Speaker 3: us that this guy, yeah is wooo do you pick
- 7:53Speaker 3: truth or dare? Because I always pick truth.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Truth, say, I got to be careful.
- 8:02Speaker 3: It's truth is just the safer bet. And then like
- 8:05Speaker 3: he's he's snugg into Chokochelle. So that says a lot
- 8:08Speaker 3: about like he wants to go to Coachella that bad
- 8:10Speaker 3: And I'm like, not for me.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Well, I always pick truth too, because if you know,
- 8:16Speaker 2: I have a lot of weaknesses in life, one of
- 8:18Speaker 2: them which has constantly gotten me in trouble since the
- 8:21Speaker 2: very beginning of my days here on this earth is
- 8:24Speaker 2: I'm an oversharer, so I don't mind telling you anything
- 8:27Speaker 2: you want to know, Like you just might not want
- 8:30Speaker 2: to know what I'm about to tell you.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Yeah, we're probably the worst people to even answer this question.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Yeah. I like Brendon for a couple of reasons. One,
- 8:39Speaker 2: he's wearing a shirt in this picture that Jessica just
- 8:43Speaker 2: bought me. I know where it's from, and I refuse
- 8:45Speaker 2: to wear it. I said, Honey, can you imagine me
- 8:47Speaker 2: wearing this like I tried it on. She's like, yeah,
- 8:49Speaker 2: you can't wear them. So I appreciate that he's given
- 8:51Speaker 2: it a shot. Don't hate his outfit. I like him
- 8:54Speaker 2: because he is wearing a watch that is probably from
- 8:57Speaker 2: his grandfather. That is an old, cool, vintage watch, so
- 9:02Speaker 2: he respects family well. At the same time, Brendan's I'm
- 9:06Speaker 2: joking about this. This is all tongue in cheek, because
- 9:09Speaker 2: everything he said in his bio makes me think he's
- 9:11Speaker 2: over compensating for wanting to convince people he's a good
- 9:14Speaker 2: time because nothing about his look says hey I'm a
- 9:16Speaker 2: good time.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Yes, that is so perfectly said. And again, this is
- 9:21Speaker 3: why I leave this up to you. Ben. He also
- 9:23Speaker 3: does not have guns. His arms are definitely less big
- 9:28Speaker 3: than yours.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Let's not judge. I don't think so. I think if
- 9:31Speaker 2: we took a tape measure and wrapped us around both,
- 9:34Speaker 2: he would still beat me here. Okay, all right. I
- 9:38Speaker 2: did have an AB pop out last week, though I did.
- 9:40Speaker 2: I had an AB pop out last week. I was
- 9:42Speaker 2: in a hotel room. I was standing in front of
- 9:44Speaker 2: the mirror. I was looking at my like looking at
- 9:46Speaker 2: myself as I was drying off, and I was like, oh,
- 9:48Speaker 2: there it is, go on.
- 9:50Speaker 3: I think of you as having abs over arms.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I think comes more naturally when I
- 9:56Speaker 2: see myself in my dreams. It's always abs over arms.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, Brett, let's just like address the elephant in
- 10:03Speaker 3: the room. Brett is one of the chubbier guys we've
- 10:06Speaker 3: ever seen on the show, and that's a very very
- 10:09Speaker 3: cute thing. He is a teddy bear. People are gonna
- 10:15Speaker 3: love him for this. You know that he's gonna probably
- 10:19Speaker 3: poke fun at the fact that he's one of the
- 10:20Speaker 3: bigger guys that's every bit on the show, and he's
- 10:22Speaker 3: got a smile. It's also very big and warm. He
- 10:26Speaker 3: is a health and safety manager from Pennsylvania. He's twenty eight.
- 10:33Speaker 3: He can do splits and do them on command. So
- 10:36Speaker 3: we'll see that night one in action.
- 10:37Speaker 2: I'm sure what a wild irony. One of the larger
- 10:41Speaker 2: men we've ever seen come on the show who can
- 10:43Speaker 2: also do the splits. Yeah.
- 10:46Speaker 3: As a kid, he accidentally shaved off his own eyebrows
- 10:49Speaker 3: before picture day. Yea. And how does it accidentally happen
- 10:55Speaker 3: is one of the questions we'll have to ask him
- 10:57Speaker 3: when he comes on the podcast. And he's never left
- 11:00Speaker 3: the US, but would love to one day.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Brett is Brett is gonna be awesome. I will tell
- 11:08Speaker 2: you he's gonna make great television. He is warm and fuzzy,
- 11:11Speaker 2: and he seems like the guy that will protect all
- 11:16Speaker 2: the men on this season and also jin he is
- 11:19Speaker 2: like the guy that you'll lean on when stuff starts
- 11:21Speaker 2: to go awry because he's a big dude. Uh and
- 11:24Speaker 2: not like big in terms of weight. He's like you
- 11:27Speaker 2: can just tell he's like a big man. He's he's
- 11:30Speaker 2: built big.
- 11:31Speaker 3: He's not supposed to be a fan.
- 11:34Speaker 2: No, there's there's no way he Uh. He looks like
- 11:37Speaker 2: a grizzly bear to me, that's kind of gonna be like,
- 11:40Speaker 2: I'll remember him by being a grizzly bear. The only
- 11:42Speaker 2: thing I'll say about Brett is I can't tell with
- 11:44Speaker 2: his hairdo if he is trying to do all or not.
- 11:48Speaker 2: It does look like he's let some stuff hang out
- 11:50Speaker 2: in the back shave his sides. Oh yeah, look at that.
- 11:54Speaker 2: So he's kind of in between on his look. I like,
- 11:57Speaker 2: I like somebody that sells out goes one hundred percent
- 11:59Speaker 2: needs direction. Either you're gonna have one or not.
- 12:01Speaker 3: You don't like it when they have them, though, well
- 12:05Speaker 3: you eliminate them.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Pull it off. Some some pull it off. I think
- 12:10Speaker 2: Brett will be around a while. I don't know if
- 12:13Speaker 2: he's around the whole time. I do think we're gonna
- 12:16Speaker 2: enjoy Brett, and I think he is going to steal
- 12:18Speaker 2: the heart of America because I do believe he's just
- 12:21Speaker 2: a good dude.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Yeah, he's top ten. Next time is Brian. I have
- 12:25Speaker 3: a lot to say about Brian because he is an
- 12:28Speaker 3: aesthetics consult consultant thirty three from I know from Bolton Beach, Florida.
- 12:39Speaker 3: So there's a couple of things here that made me
- 12:41Speaker 3: think Jen is going to be a physician's assistant. I
- 12:45Speaker 3: don't know if she's gonna specialize an aesthetics. For some reason,
- 12:48Speaker 3: in my head she was, but it could just be
- 12:50Speaker 3: because she's very pretty and I can see her going
- 12:53Speaker 3: into that field. But she's also from Florida, so I
- 12:58Speaker 3: was like, Okay, well this is interesting. They may have
- 13:00Speaker 3: some commonalities right off the bat, but then I find
- 13:03Speaker 3: that he loves botox and doesn't care who knows it,
- 13:07Speaker 3: and he's a big fan of Travis Kelsey and Taylor's relationship,
- 13:12Speaker 3: and it's like, like, this guy seems a little metro
- 13:15Speaker 3: for me now, a little too much, you know. So Ben,
- 13:19Speaker 3: being that Jess is in the aesthetics realm and at
- 13:22Speaker 3: her spots, I think they even have botox, what does
- 13:25Speaker 3: she think about botox?
- 13:26Speaker 1: Now?
- 13:27Speaker 3: Listen. I think that there's some guys that like, if
- 13:30Speaker 3: you want to, if you want to lessen some wrinkles, okay,
- 13:38Speaker 3: but I think every girl agrees that guys look sexy
- 13:41Speaker 3: with wrinkles as they age, and they definitely don't want
- 13:44Speaker 3: them frozen. Just looking at Brian, he looks like a
- 13:47Speaker 3: man who wants to be frozen, and I don't want that.
- 13:51Speaker 2: I know, how my wife would respond. She would tell me,
- 13:53Speaker 2: when it comes to this kind of stuff, you do
- 13:55Speaker 2: what makes you feel best. Like I've teased with her, like, hey,
- 13:58Speaker 2: I'm going to Turkey and I'm getting hares plants in
- 14:00Speaker 2: like five years when everything falls.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Out, Why wouldn't you just do that beforehand?
- 14:05Speaker 2: I might it might be befour or five years, I
- 14:07Speaker 2: might disappear from here, come back with a shaved head
- 14:09Speaker 2: and some lindmarks, and you're gonna be like, oh, yeah,
- 14:11Speaker 2: he did it.
- 14:12Speaker 3: I have no all for hair plugs. We all, Jared
- 14:16Speaker 3: and I have always talked about this.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I have no qualms with this. With botox, I
- 14:21Speaker 2: think she would say the same thing if you if
- 14:22Speaker 2: you want to get it, she would say, you don't
- 14:24Speaker 2: need it. Though I do have a great nighttime routine
- 14:27Speaker 2: right now that is eliminating a lot of the wrinkles.
- 14:30Speaker 2: But the wrinkles are coming from dry skin. And Jessica
- 14:32Speaker 2: has always said dry skin is aging skin. So she
- 14:37Speaker 2: wants me to keep my skin hydrated because she doesn't
- 14:39Speaker 2: want my skin to go like to get bad. And
- 14:41Speaker 2: so if you notice right now, I have a pasty
- 14:44Speaker 2: white glow and that's very white right now, I'm very
- 14:47Speaker 2: white right now because I'm putting SPF on my face
- 14:50Speaker 2: every day.
- 14:50Speaker 3: No, you have a very you have a zinc oxide
- 14:53Speaker 3: face sunscreen. That so my wife is protecting me.
- 14:57Speaker 2: She's not saying, hey, if you get wrinkles, like, I
- 14:59Speaker 2: don't think you're in he has attractive She might say
- 15:01Speaker 2: you'd be more attractive. But what she's doing is protecting
- 15:04Speaker 2: me from aging early and trying to keep my skin
- 15:06Speaker 2: as healthy as possible. So botox doesn't really do that, right,
- 15:09Speaker 2: you're just covering up. Wow.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Well, I mean botox will help not age you for sure, sure.
- 15:16Speaker 2: But I'm saying there's ways to keep your skin healthy
- 15:18Speaker 2: so that botox might not have to be an option.
- 15:20Speaker 2: My point to all of this is I respect anybody
- 15:23Speaker 2: that's going to get botox that's confident in getting botox.
- 15:26Speaker 2: So if you're gonna get it, talk about it. I'm
- 15:28Speaker 2: not saying like you need to promote it, like walk
- 15:30Speaker 2: down the street and be like, hey, I just got
- 15:32Speaker 2: some botox. I'm looking good. But when somebody asks you, hey,
- 15:34Speaker 2: you don't have any wrinkles in your skin, what do
- 15:36Speaker 2: you do? You would say, I get botox, Like, be
- 15:39Speaker 2: confident in your choicely. Oh, I don't want you to
- 15:41Speaker 2: be lying to me. I have friends that get botox
- 15:44Speaker 2: that look, you know, twenty years old. They're lying to
- 15:46Speaker 2: me because they'll never tell me. But I know because
- 15:49Speaker 2: my wife tells me that's what that's botox. I don't
- 15:52Speaker 2: respec anybody's gonna lie to a friend. I just like
- 15:55Speaker 2: the guy to have a little bit more. I want
- 15:58Speaker 2: the guy to have.
- 15:58Speaker 3: More wrinkles than me. I suppose as we age, but again,
- 16:02Speaker 3: not against a little brotox, just to soften them just
- 16:06Speaker 3: a bit. Okay, Ben, is that is clinical sunscreen you
- 16:09Speaker 3: have on right now?
- 16:11Speaker 2: I think so.
- 16:12Speaker 3: Actually, I feel it, I know, because it's has very
- 16:15Speaker 3: much of a white cast, but it's it's highly recommended
- 16:18Speaker 3: in one of one of Just's favorite brands.
- 16:20Speaker 2: As it is, I think it is my own. Yeah, yeah,
- 16:24Speaker 2: she's she loads me up. You should see my counter.
- 16:26Speaker 2: It's amazing what I put on my face at night.
- 16:28Speaker 3: I don't even I need you to talk to Jared
- 16:30Speaker 3: about just taking care of his skin and how you've
- 16:34Speaker 3: gotten into your routine because this man, he thinks it's girly. Regardless.
- 16:39Speaker 2: At this point, I have nothing to lose. Here's my
- 16:42Speaker 2: thoughts on this guy. Okay, it's mostly coming from a
- 16:46Speaker 2: quote he says in his bio. He goes, I hope
- 16:48Speaker 2: to meet the woman of my dreams, my partner in crime,
- 16:50Speaker 2: my queen. That's all really cool, right at the surface.
- 16:53Speaker 2: It's also very surface level, like you are entering into
- 16:58Speaker 2: an event in your life where you are potentially potentially
- 17:00Speaker 2: meeting your wife. And if that's all you have to
- 17:02Speaker 2: say when somebody asks you, what are you looking for
- 17:04Speaker 2: in your partner? He's or through this experience, he's like,
- 17:07Speaker 2: I'm hoping to meet my queen. Let's let's talk about
- 17:10Speaker 2: like the a little depth. So this guy is trying
- 17:13Speaker 2: to figure it all out. He's trying to figure out
- 17:15Speaker 2: who he is, what he wants in life. He's trying
- 17:17Speaker 2: to hold on as long as possible based on his
- 17:20Speaker 2: behaviors in order to meet somebody someday and I and
- 17:24Speaker 2: for his sake, I hope he does. It's not going
- 17:26Speaker 2: to be the experience he meets somebody through. He's not
- 17:28Speaker 2: going to be the one with her at the end.
- 17:30Speaker 2: And the big reason I can say that so confidently.
- 17:33Speaker 2: He has a watch strap that matches the color of
- 17:35Speaker 2: his shirt. He took way too much time, like cared
- 17:39Speaker 2: way too much.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Oh this is just so good because Ben points out
- 17:43Speaker 3: these things that I would never notice, like guys apparently
- 17:47Speaker 3: pay way more attention to watches than women.
- 17:49Speaker 2: If you've ever seen any guy be like, Hey, I
- 17:50Speaker 2: got to put on my blue strap today because I'm
- 17:53Speaker 2: wearing a blue shirt. Like is that a guy? Like
- 17:55Speaker 2: You're like, yeah, I get it. Man that says that
- 17:58Speaker 2: that that that's cool? Okay.
- 18:11Speaker 3: Dakota is next. He has a bleached blonde buzz cut,
- 18:16Speaker 3: which I can't wait to hear about, with really dark brown,
- 18:19Speaker 3: really dark bushy brows. He is a wine expert.
- 18:23Speaker 2: How do you say this?
- 18:24Speaker 3: How do you say it best? Somalia's twenty seven from Arizona.
- 18:32Speaker 3: His fun facts include that one time he spontaneously drove
- 18:35Speaker 3: to Mexico at three am, just with the clothes on
- 18:39Speaker 3: his back, So that kind of sounds sketchy to me.
- 18:43Speaker 3: And then he dreams of becoming one of the very
- 18:46Speaker 3: few elite so whatever they are Somalia's uh huh. And
- 18:53Speaker 3: he has a tattoo saying the biggest thing in today's
- 18:55Speaker 3: sorrow is the memory.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Of yesterday's joy. A lot of stuff here. One actually
- 19:01Speaker 2: like his look. One of my neighbors here high school
- 19:03Speaker 2: kid just did this to his hair bleach blonde hair,
- 19:07Speaker 2: brown hair. Originally it must be a thing, right now,
- 19:10Speaker 2: I can see it coming up through you know, through
- 19:13Speaker 2: the ages.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Now, yeah, you totally had frosted tips as a kid.
- 19:17Speaker 2: I tried. I put lime or lemon juice in my hair,
- 19:20Speaker 2: just mostly turned orange. And yeah, so I didn't really
- 19:23Speaker 2: go all out.
- 19:24Speaker 3: I want to see sixth grade Ben Higgins being like
- 19:28Speaker 3: so hot with his orange frosted tips.
- 19:31Speaker 2: The acne braces and frosted tips. Let's go, you know what.
- 19:37Speaker 2: But like, I'm down with the code of doing this.
- 19:39Speaker 2: I have a lot of respect for Smaalie's. It is
- 19:41Speaker 2: one of the hardest professions. It's also one of the
- 19:44Speaker 2: hardest things to achievements, certificate certifications.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Together, so interesting, very impressive.
- 19:53Speaker 2: And to become a master smaller, Like I judge food
- 19:57Speaker 2: scenes in cities based on how many Master Small's are
- 19:59Speaker 2: actually existing in that city, and I think Denver only
- 20:03Speaker 2: has three. Like it's a big deal to get the
- 20:07Speaker 2: master small a license, and so if this is his
- 20:09Speaker 2: pursuit and he loves wine that much. Got a lot
- 20:12Speaker 2: of respect for this guy. I think he's very interesting.
- 20:15Speaker 2: That's the reason I say it. Somala's are always very
- 20:17Speaker 2: interesting as long as they don't want to talk about
- 20:19Speaker 2: wine all the time. They understand ag, they understand whether
- 20:23Speaker 2: they understand geography very well, and that always is intrigued
- 20:28Speaker 2: in history. So I love that. I am concerned because
- 20:33Speaker 2: one of his fun facts is that he drove to
- 20:35Speaker 2: Mexico at three am with the clothes under that. Two
- 20:37Speaker 2: questions there, why at three am were you driving at all?
- 20:41Speaker 2: Why were you not sleeping? What's happening in your life
- 20:43Speaker 2: that you need to be.
- 20:43Speaker 3: Apley going to Mexico at three am in such a hurry.
- 20:46Speaker 2: The second part is it's not that impressive, buddy, you
- 20:48Speaker 2: live in Arizona, Like you're not that far. It's like,
- 20:54Speaker 2: you know, it'd be different enough. I was like, hey,
- 20:55Speaker 2: I drove from Denver to New York City through the night,
- 20:58Speaker 2: you know, just to have dinner with my family, so
- 21:01Speaker 2: we don't have any context here. The second part is like,
- 21:04Speaker 2: this isn't that that far to drive. It's like for
- 21:06Speaker 2: him it could be a couple hours. So you just
- 21:08Speaker 2: like decided at three am to drive in Mexico. Awesome,
- 21:11Speaker 2: super cool, don't know why you did it. Don't know
- 21:13Speaker 2: why that's one of your cool facts, especially if you're
- 21:16Speaker 2: a master Somalia. My final point to Dakota is like, again,
- 21:19Speaker 2: I do think he's going to be interesting. I do
- 21:21Speaker 2: think I'm going to enjoy watching him. I do think
- 21:23Speaker 2: I'm gonna enjoy hearing what his perspective is on different situations.
- 21:27Speaker 2: I'm hoping he's not a dud. And every time they
- 21:31Speaker 2: like sit down for cocktails at night, he's like telling
- 21:33Speaker 2: everybody about the wine. That would be annoying. However, he
- 21:37Speaker 2: seems to live in a place that I just don't understand.
- 21:41Speaker 2: And the place that I don't understand is living in
- 21:44Speaker 2: the past. The biggest thing in today's sorrow is the
- 21:47Speaker 2: memory of yesterday's joy. So do you not are you
- 21:49Speaker 2: not enjoying the present moment's joy? Like are you are
- 21:52Speaker 2: you looking back always at what happened in the past
- 21:55Speaker 2: and not ever being where your feet are now? My
- 21:58Speaker 2: question is to you, are what's going to happen in
- 22:01Speaker 2: a relationship, what's gonna happen when you're a partner of somebody?
- 22:05Speaker 2: Are you going to always be living in the past
- 22:07Speaker 2: kind of manipulating the relationship by saying, yeah, but you
- 22:10Speaker 2: remember when you remember, when you remember when? That is
- 22:14Speaker 2: something I can't get behind. It's not something that's progressive
- 22:17Speaker 2: in nature. And it's also not healthy to not be
- 22:21Speaker 2: where your feet are in the present moment. Like right now,
- 22:24Speaker 2: you know my quote would be on my ribs. What
- 22:27Speaker 2: I'm enjoying the almost famous podcast right here, right now,
- 22:34Speaker 2: this is my joy Okay on a devon on a devn.
- 22:38Speaker 3: He is from Texas and he is a freight company owner.
- 22:44Speaker 3: That sounds like a show, right.
- 22:48Speaker 2: He sounds like he's bonaire.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Okay, you said it and I didn't.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Yeah, he sounds like he's very wealthy.
- 22:58Speaker 3: And the most interesting fun fact about him is that
- 23:02Speaker 3: he loves eating shrimp tacos despite being allergic to shrimp.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Absolute psycho. So this is quite an.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Interesting character, Ben, you are allergic to shellfish? Yeah, so, like,
- 23:17Speaker 3: what kind of reaction.
- 23:18Speaker 4: Do you get?
- 23:20Speaker 2: I've gone into Like I've had a seizure from this
- 23:23Speaker 2: gone Like I've gone into the hospital and had to
- 23:25Speaker 2: be resuscitated from my shrimp allergy. This guy's a psycho
- 23:29Speaker 2: like he is, and he should I want him to
- 23:31Speaker 2: hear me say this. If he came on the podcast,
- 23:32Speaker 2: I would tell him you're a psycho. What are you doing?
- 23:35Speaker 2: Are you? Just like yeah, But maybe he's that wealthy
- 23:37Speaker 2: that like, you know, he's like, hey, it's cool. I
- 23:40Speaker 2: like shrimp, so like if I need to, I got
- 23:41Speaker 2: an eppie penal just sticking my leg after every dinner. Yeah,
- 23:45Speaker 2: absolute madness. Like there's nothing that makes sense about this
- 23:47Speaker 2: man anymore. I thought I was gonna like him. I
- 23:49Speaker 2: was like, hey, he's a business owner, you know, he
- 23:51Speaker 2: he's got a good financial base. He's obviously an athlete
- 23:55Speaker 2: because it says he ran a two hundred mile relay
- 23:58Speaker 2: race with his buddies. Super cool. I don't know how
- 24:00Speaker 2: many miles of that he ran. He could have ran
- 24:02Speaker 2: one mile. But the fact that he's down to eat
- 24:04Speaker 2: shrimp like this is just dangerous.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Like I think about how like sometimes pineapple will make
- 24:10Speaker 3: my mouth a little bit like sore, and I'm like,
- 24:13Speaker 3: and I think about that every time I pineapple, And
- 24:15Speaker 3: that's I wouldn't even call.
- 24:16Speaker 2: That an allergy whatsoever.
- 24:17Speaker 3: It's maybe a sensitivity like mango I have, Like I
- 24:23Speaker 3: get like a little I get irritated, Like my whole
- 24:25Speaker 3: body will get irritated. With mango, and I know, like
- 24:29Speaker 3: absolutely no, would I go and just eat that just
- 24:33Speaker 3: for fun because I like the taste of it so much.
- 24:36Speaker 2: And there's severities to allergies. Shellfish is a very severe
- 24:39Speaker 2: allergy typically, like you.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Don't know that shellfish, but shred shrimp is a shellfish, right.
- 24:46Speaker 2: It's a shellfish allergy. This man's this man is absolutely crazy.
- 24:49Speaker 2: I need to hear why. I need to hear how
- 24:51Speaker 2: and what has made his life so sad that he's like,
- 24:55Speaker 2: I'm down to risk it, Like give me that. Yeah,
- 24:58Speaker 2: I would love to.
- 24:59Speaker 3: I'm that interested.
- 25:01Speaker 2: All Right, that's it for him.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Okay, I thought, so.
- 25:04Speaker 2: I thought that's all we needed from him. Okay. So Dylan.
- 25:07Speaker 3: He is a medical student from California. He's twenty four.
- 25:12Speaker 3: He likes wine and pet date wine and painting date nights.
- 25:17Speaker 3: He hates avocados. He will be surrounded by them in
- 25:19Speaker 3: the Bachelor mansion. Everybody is eating avocado toast all the time.
- 25:22Speaker 3: It's where I think I have my first avocado actually,
- 25:26Speaker 3: and I also don't.
- 25:28Speaker 2: I think they're highly overrated. So thank you, Dylan.
- 25:32Speaker 3: And this is not that fun of a fact. But
- 25:34Speaker 3: he's never stepped foot in a trader Joe's. Maybe there's
- 25:38Speaker 3: just not one around him, But I like him and
- 25:40Speaker 3: I always will. Like a guy who's in medical school.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Actually really missed on her husband's choice. So she's likes
- 25:51Speaker 2: the guy in medical school. Yeah, I mean, I think
- 25:54Speaker 2: he's probably gonna be great. The issue is here, he's
- 25:57Speaker 2: never stepped foot in a Trader Joe's because he hasn't
- 25:59Speaker 2: been that much time I'm here on earth. He's only
- 26:00Speaker 2: twenty four years old. I know, he's so young. I'm like,
- 26:03Speaker 2: are you really going to be a doctor. Yeah, you don't.
- 26:05Speaker 2: I mean, but you don't go to a Trader Joe's
- 26:07Speaker 2: until you're in your you know, mid to late twenties,
- 26:11Speaker 2: and then all of a sudden you're like, this is
- 26:12Speaker 2: the best place on earth.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Waits so much good point. I don't think I went
- 26:17Speaker 3: to a church until about twenty four.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, so it's cool that you haven't been,
- 26:22Speaker 2: but there's a lot of things you haven't done. Man,
- 26:24Speaker 2: you're twenty four years old, Like you're young. You got
- 26:27Speaker 2: to lie at a life to experience. I hadn't gone
- 26:28Speaker 2: in these things at twenty four. You're gonna be a
- 26:30Speaker 2: nice guy. You're going to do great here. I'm sure
- 26:32Speaker 2: you're around for a bit, but life experience wise, I
- 26:37Speaker 2: would not continue to tell people what you haven't done.
- 26:40Speaker 2: I would just talk about what you have done, because
- 26:42Speaker 2: there's going to be a lot of things that a
- 26:43Speaker 2: guy at thirty four, which we have that age on
- 26:46Speaker 2: the show has done compared to you. You do not
- 26:48Speaker 2: want to start highlighting your age.
- 26:53Speaker 3: Okay, yes I agree. And Grant is next, and he
- 26:58Speaker 3: is he's cute. He's a thirty year old day trader.
- 27:02Speaker 3: He's actually a former pro basketball player who's now really
- 27:07Speaker 3: passionate about his new career as a day trader, and
- 27:11Speaker 3: he hopes to provide for his family. He also helps
- 27:15Speaker 3: to visit every country in his lifetime, just like maybe
- 27:19Speaker 3: a little over the top. He is an avid salsa
- 27:24Speaker 3: dancer and he wishes that he could live to the
- 27:27Speaker 3: year three thousand to see what technology is like, not
- 27:30Speaker 3: to see if the Jonahs Brothers song is true.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Couple of things. One, he is wearing my favorite color
- 27:37Speaker 2: shirt of all time, this shirt right here, Like that's
- 27:42Speaker 2: my that would be my thing, love the color. Second,
- 27:48Speaker 2: a very accomplished man in life so far, professional basketball player,
- 27:53Speaker 2: wants to travel a lot, super cool. Based on the
- 27:59Speaker 2: past and the history of this, and I want listeners
- 28:01Speaker 2: to pay attention to this. Day trading is a very
- 28:07Speaker 2: very umbrella term. You can be a day trader for
- 28:09Speaker 2: in institutional trading, that's an incredible job. But a brokerage firm,
- 28:13Speaker 2: some type of like financial services form, some type of
- 28:16Speaker 2: wealth management firm, you could even kind of do it
- 28:19Speaker 2: for private capital. A lot of ways to day trade.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Right.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Most of the time on this show, when we've had
- 28:25Speaker 2: somebody tell us they're a day trader, it means they're
- 28:28Speaker 2: doing it from their desk, on their own, with their
- 28:31Speaker 2: own money, and they're just trying to make it day
- 28:34Speaker 2: by day. That typically statistics will tell us is not
- 28:38Speaker 2: a great path in life. Very few actually make money
- 28:41Speaker 2: being a day trader on their own. So, based on
- 28:46Speaker 2: the past and based on what people have told us,
- 28:48Speaker 2: and they think it's a very like sexy job title,
- 28:52Speaker 2: I am concerned until we find out hobby. Yeah, yeah,
- 28:56Speaker 2: like your job is your hobby, and this hobby is
- 28:58Speaker 2: incredibly risky. Very few do it well, and so I
- 29:03Speaker 2: want to know who Grant works for or if he's
- 29:06Speaker 2: just doing it on a his zone. That would be
- 29:07Speaker 2: my big question here. Other than that, I like his
- 29:10Speaker 2: shirt and I can't see what watch he's wearing to
- 29:13Speaker 2: match it, so I'm in okay, great, alrighty.
- 29:29Speaker 3: So next up is hikem Hiqima. Is a very interesting
- 29:33Speaker 3: pose going on. He's got one finger by his cheekbone.
- 29:37Speaker 3: He has a watch visible. I'd love for you to
- 29:40Speaker 3: tell us what this watch means. He is from Illinois.
- 29:44Speaker 3: He is a medical sales rep. He's twenty nine. He
- 29:48Speaker 3: can fully clap with one hand, which absolutely confuses me.
- 29:57Speaker 3: I don't okay, we'll have to see the Night One too.
- 30:01Speaker 3: That would be the wildest limits you imagine.
- 30:04Speaker 2: He's like, look at this.
- 30:07Speaker 3: So sexy. He he takes dating. This is concerning to me.
- 30:13Speaker 3: He takes dating so seriously that he spent over five
- 30:16Speaker 3: thousand dollars on a dating coach. So that makes Does
- 30:21Speaker 3: that make you feel a little bit weird? It does
- 30:24Speaker 3: like he might be too over eager, Like he's going
- 30:26Speaker 3: to be that guy Night one that's going to try
- 30:29Speaker 3: to be like that VH one. Yeah, whatever his name was,
- 30:32Speaker 3: remember that dating guru on VH one, And he like
- 30:35Speaker 3: thought he knew all the moves to like win over
- 30:37Speaker 3: a lady.
- 30:38Speaker 2: H I there's There's two ways that goes here. One,
- 30:42Speaker 2: he recognizes his weaknesses and he recognizes maybe that he's
- 30:45Speaker 2: a little socially awkward, that he gets a little anxious
- 30:48Speaker 2: on dates, nervous on dates, and he can't be himself,
- 30:50Speaker 2: and he bought he got this coach to help him,
- 30:53Speaker 2: you know, get over that fear or that burden or
- 30:56Speaker 2: that boundary. I would I respect that. The second would
- 31:00Speaker 2: be I want to know all the right things to
- 31:02Speaker 2: do too to win over a lady. There was an
- 31:05Speaker 2: old Instagram account back when I was like probably right
- 31:08Speaker 2: out of college. I would follow and it was giving
- 31:11Speaker 2: tips on dating and there's a podcast to go along
- 31:13Speaker 2: with it. I was listening to it all the time.
- 31:15Speaker 3: Yeah, like I've done that, Like I did like a
- 31:18Speaker 3: Matthew Hussy thing like one hundred dollars, like Matthew Hussey tutorial.
- 31:22Speaker 2: And I think and so like there is a level
- 31:24Speaker 2: here where all of us, as we've talked about, have
- 31:26Speaker 2: issues with dating. We talked about that in the Almost
- 31:28Speaker 2: Good Advice episode that just came out. You should listen
- 31:30Speaker 2: to it. So if he did just get over zealous
- 31:34Speaker 2: and he's going to go out there and try to
- 31:36Speaker 2: like swoon with all the right lines and being like
- 31:38Speaker 2: this robot. Then I have massive concerns because my advice
- 31:44Speaker 2: to anybody that asks any dating advice, I don't have
- 31:46Speaker 2: great dating advice, but my dating advice to them would be, Hey,
- 31:50Speaker 2: you ultimately, at the end of the day, want to
- 31:51Speaker 2: find a partner that you can be your best self
- 31:53Speaker 2: around and your most genuine self around. And so any
- 31:56Speaker 2: type of coaching or teaching, if it's going to level
- 32:00Speaker 2: of like saying the right things and doing the right
- 32:02Speaker 2: things to swoon them over, to almost trick them. It
- 32:05Speaker 2: feels like, in my mind is the word I want
- 32:06Speaker 2: to use. Step away from it. Be yourself. You're gonna
- 32:09Speaker 2: find somebody. If you're a nerd, you're gonna find somebody
- 32:12Speaker 2: loves nerds. If you're like a super like swoony cool dude,
- 32:16Speaker 2: you're gonna find somebody. It's looking for that. But ultimate,
- 32:19Speaker 2: at end of the day, if we're looking for a
- 32:20Speaker 2: partner for life, you've got to find somebody that knows
- 32:23Speaker 2: you for you and loves you for you, your awkwardness,
- 32:26Speaker 2: your weirdness, whatever. So we'll see with a chem My
- 32:30Speaker 2: initial reaction here, my thought is that he did this
- 32:34Speaker 2: because he felt like he was continually like being awkward
- 32:37Speaker 2: on dates and he just needed needed pushed over the.
- 32:40Speaker 3: This guy just that that's like the sum up he looks.
- 32:43Speaker 3: He's like, he appears awkward, but like.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Five thousand bucks goodness rats at age twenty nine. See
- 32:50Speaker 2: that seems like something you would do to in your
- 32:52Speaker 2: upper thirties. Yeah, okay, good for him.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Next guy stood out to me as being a total
- 32:58Speaker 3: front runner. Han Okay. He's from New York City, he's
- 33:03Speaker 3: a startup founder. He's twenty eight, and I mean this
- 33:08Speaker 3: is the writing of the Bachelor producers. I think it
- 33:12Speaker 3: says he's extremely smart and the successful guy. He's one
- 33:16Speaker 3: of Forbes thirty under thirties. That's a big deal. He
- 33:23Speaker 3: wants to challenge you in a game of chess, You're
- 33:26Speaker 3: most likely going to lose. You're he's out of commission
- 33:30Speaker 3: if he's hungry, and he wants to learn how to
- 33:33Speaker 3: fly a plane.
- 33:35Speaker 2: I think this guy.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Is going to be impressive, but not in like a cockyway.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Actually, are we still into the butt chin? Yeah? Yeah,
- 33:46Speaker 2: I will always be into the butchein the butch Yeah
- 33:51Speaker 2: has one? Yeah? So yeah, Ben Affleck, I just I
- 33:55Speaker 2: love it. Yeah, what is it about it that you love.
- 33:58Speaker 3: It's masculine to me. M it's just in his character.
- 34:02Speaker 3: And Henry Cavill like, yeah, butntions are great.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, this guy, this guy is uh. I mean,
- 34:10Speaker 2: I don't have a lot to say about him because
- 34:13Speaker 2: being in thirty under thirty, like that's impressive to me,
- 34:16Speaker 2: and probably so many He.
- 34:18Speaker 3: Looks like he is used to taking pictures like this.
- 34:22Speaker 3: He's very comfortable in front of Henry.
- 34:24Speaker 2: Yeah, he's twenty eight.
- 34:25Speaker 3: So my concern with this guy is he has so
- 34:30Speaker 3: many women to choose from.
- 34:31Speaker 2: No, not at all, no doubt he does. I bet
- 34:33Speaker 2: he has worked really hard up until twenty eight. If
- 34:36Speaker 2: he's made thirty under thirty by twenty eight, that's really impressive.
- 34:39Speaker 2: I would say my concern will be with him when
- 34:43Speaker 2: you have typically not everybody, but when you have success
- 34:48Speaker 2: that sets a young age, your ego can really take
- 34:51Speaker 2: over everything else and so weird does his ego lie?
- 34:54Speaker 2: Like how cool does he think he is? That will
- 34:58Speaker 2: be the thing I'm watching because tip it could be
- 35:01Speaker 2: very he could very easily slip into I'm better than
- 35:05Speaker 2: everybody else, or he could not. But if he stays humble,
- 35:09Speaker 2: if he has keeps perspective. If he lets his ego
- 35:12Speaker 2: not control everything, then this guy is a frontrunner.
- 35:15Speaker 3: Yeah, he can be a front runner, or he could
- 35:17Speaker 3: be a villain. Fine line. All right, Uh, we have
- 35:22Speaker 3: Jeremy next. He is also from New York City. He's
- 35:26Speaker 3: twenty nine. He's a real estate investor. He's had long
- 35:31Speaker 3: term relationships in the past, but has been unlucky in
- 35:34Speaker 3: love ever since. He wants to live abroad someday. He
- 35:39Speaker 3: loves getting eight hours asleep, and his ideal meet the
- 35:43Speaker 3: family date would be inviting a girl over for passover dinner.
- 35:48Speaker 2: What's up with these knitted shirts these days? Are these in?
- 35:51Speaker 1: Like?
- 35:51Speaker 2: Just this is the stuff Jess was buying me and she's.
- 35:53Speaker 3: Like it looks Jared hates a knitted sweater.
- 35:57Speaker 2: I feel like my nipples would pop out right, Like
- 36:01Speaker 2: when did they show through?
- 36:04Speaker 3: I guess you may want to wear an undershirt with it.
- 36:06Speaker 4: Well, then what's the point of wearing the shirt If
- 36:09Speaker 4: I'm wearing an undershirt? Why did I wear two shirts?
- 36:12Speaker 4: They just make Jared feel like a grandpa. He hates them.
- 36:16Speaker 4: They always hit the donation pile.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Well, I'm a big grandpa guy.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you love being Grandpa.
- 36:21Speaker 2: But like these, these I just couldn't pull off confidently.
- 36:24Speaker 2: I don't feel like I could pull them off confidently.
- 36:26Speaker 2: I feel like everything would be showing underneath all the time.
- 36:28Speaker 2: I feel like I'd be cold when I shouldn't be.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Like a long sleeve shirt.
- 36:32Speaker 3: That's knitted, you think they have holes enough in them?
- 36:35Speaker 2: Yes, I do. I don't like blankets like this, Like
- 36:38Speaker 2: this isn't my thing. Like if I want a blanket,
- 36:40Speaker 2: it's gonna it's not getting air from the outside end. Yeah,
- 36:44Speaker 2: And I also wonder how he's never worn this shirt.
- 36:48Speaker 2: The reason I say that is because anytime I wear
- 36:52Speaker 2: a shirt like this, no matter how much I try,
- 36:55Speaker 2: I come home and there's like the threads pulled out right,
- 36:58Speaker 2: like I've snagged in on something. So he's never worn
- 37:01Speaker 2: this shirt because he looks like a snagger, Like he
- 37:04Speaker 2: looks like a guy that's gonna snag it very quickly
- 37:06Speaker 2: and easily. He's risking a lot by wearing this shirt.
- 37:11Speaker 2: And maybe that's the only thing I have to say
- 37:12Speaker 2: about this guy. He's he's a risk taker. He wears
- 37:15Speaker 2: knitted shirts. He's confident enough to wear knitted shirts. I
- 37:20Speaker 2: respect anybody that's able to admit they want to get
- 37:23Speaker 2: eight hours of sleep. It matters when those eight hours
- 37:25Speaker 2: of sleep are happening, are happening from midnight to eight.
- 37:29Speaker 3: Oh, here comes then in his judge, his judgy morning.
- 37:32Speaker 3: He's a morning riser, guy, I'm a morning riser. He's
- 37:35Speaker 3: there a freaking judge morning riser. Man.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Well, there's a reason we call it morning. There's a
- 37:39Speaker 2: reason the sun comes up, because we come up with it.
- 37:42Speaker 2: I don't I don't know why we would sleep any
- 37:45Speaker 2: later than when the sun wants us.
- 37:47Speaker 3: This is where we've gone, and I you know, we
- 37:48Speaker 3: could not We could never have been together.
- 37:51Speaker 2: No, no, because we never see each other. We literally
- 37:54Speaker 2: never see each other. I'd be up moving, I'd be
- 37:56Speaker 2: asleep by the time you wake up for the day.
- 37:59Speaker 3: Can we've gone far off the beaten pack now, Jeremy.
- 38:03Speaker 2: Jeremy's like a second weeker. That's my take.
- 38:06Speaker 3: Okay, I can I can get behind that.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Got another one of these knitted shirts here? What's going on?
- 38:12Speaker 3: This is not a knitted shirt. This is but this
- 38:14Speaker 3: is like the exact same shirt that what's his name.
- 38:16Speaker 2: Was wearing earlier, and they all wear the same thing.
- 38:19Speaker 3: It's like this is like a stretchy like this is
- 38:22Speaker 3: a stretchy material.
- 38:23Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 38:24Speaker 3: People can't see this, so we're gonna move on. He's
- 38:27Speaker 3: also a medical student. He's twenty five. He's from Florida,
- 38:31Speaker 3: so that's good for Jen and again commonalities medical student, physicians,
- 38:37Speaker 3: assistant student from Florida. I like this for them already
- 38:42Speaker 3: have things to talk about. He's obsessed with all things Christmas,
- 38:46Speaker 3: which is I think good sign. He once stayed awake
- 38:49Speaker 3: for thirty six hours plus playing ping pong, so he
- 38:52Speaker 3: has a little force gump in him and stamina and stamina,
- 38:57Speaker 3: and he's learning Spanish.
- 38:59Speaker 2: He seems sweet. I like this guy, my honest take. Yeah,
- 39:03Speaker 2: he wins, really I do. I just see it. Howld's
- 39:07Speaker 2: Jen though.
- 39:09Speaker 3: Story twenty six, so he's only a year younger.
- 39:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I just think he. I mean, he's final four
- 39:14Speaker 2: for me, no question. Yeah, I mean and kind of
- 39:17Speaker 2: just how his bio is written from the producers, it
- 39:22Speaker 2: makes it points to him being around a while like
- 39:24Speaker 2: heart of Gold, athletic stud like there he's smart, like
- 39:28Speaker 2: they're seeing things for us to celebrate him. He also,
- 39:34Speaker 2: unlike people previously, his quote is he's hoping his future wife,
- 39:39Speaker 2: is compassionate, honest, and ambition is different. Yeah, it's better
- 39:44Speaker 2: than being like I want to find my queen. Yeah,
- 39:47Speaker 2: come on, but I think John's around a while. I
- 39:50Speaker 2: just think we should definitely book him into the top four. Okay,
- 39:55Speaker 2: cool like it.
- 39:56Speaker 3: Jonathan Jay is next. He is a creative direct from
- 40:00Speaker 3: La He's twenty seven. He's funny. He calls himself not
- 40:04Speaker 3: a short king but a medium king, which I kind
- 40:07Speaker 3: of think that he might be a short king, and
- 40:11Speaker 3: he wants to move to Hawaii for a year. He
- 40:15Speaker 3: says that I treat every girl the same way that
- 40:18Speaker 3: I would want to see my mother and sister treated.
- 40:20Speaker 2: So that's sweet.
- 40:22Speaker 3: It's always good to have a guy with a sister calling.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Himself medium sized. Any of my buddies who call themselves
- 40:27Speaker 2: medium sized or not medium size. He's also though, has
- 40:30Speaker 2: another but chin Ashley's real into it thing. So if
- 40:35Speaker 2: Jin's into it, she's got many options. Jonathan at the
- 40:39Speaker 2: end of the day, he's cute. I don't think he's
- 40:41Speaker 2: going to be around for a while. Yeah, he's good
- 40:43Speaker 2: looking stud not gonna be around that long. Yeah, okay.
- 40:47Speaker 3: So Kevin's next. He's from Denver. I wonder if you've
- 40:52Speaker 3: ever fallen into the same circle. He's thirty five, he's
- 40:56Speaker 3: your age, a financial analyst.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Know this man.
- 41:01Speaker 3: This is going to not impress you because he's been
- 41:04Speaker 3: skiing over two hundred times and you're like, yeah, welcome
- 41:07Speaker 3: to Denver.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Yeah it's you know, you get up thirty forty times
- 41:11Speaker 2: a year. That's a few years. Yeah.
- 41:12Speaker 3: Oh, he wants to own his own barbecue restaurants, so
- 41:15Speaker 3: you can go into business with them after this.
- 41:17Speaker 2: We need more of those. We don't have a lot
- 41:19Speaker 2: of good barbecue here in Denver, Okay. And and then
- 41:23Speaker 2: he doesn't like bugs. Well, that's good that you live
- 41:26Speaker 2: in Denver. Then, other than the moths and spiders, we
- 41:28Speaker 2: don't have a lot of a lot of bugs here.
- 41:31Speaker 2: I should know this guy, and it almost concerns me
- 41:34Speaker 2: that I don't. He lives he works in the same
- 41:36Speaker 2: industry I worked in. He lives here in Denver.
- 41:40Speaker 3: Well, he doesn't work in the restaurants yet he wants Well,
- 41:43Speaker 3: he was hers in finance.
- 41:45Speaker 2: I was in finance for five years out here. That's
- 41:48Speaker 2: what it was. We were in finance when you were
- 41:50Speaker 2: writing the tiny booklets. Yeah, that's what I was doing. Oh,
- 41:59Speaker 2: nice man. Probably you know, gonna go far. He's very
- 42:05Speaker 2: clean shaven. He's too clean though. Yeah, he's very clean.
- 42:09Speaker 3: That hair, says Robbie Hayes.
- 42:11Speaker 2: Oh does it? It kind of does? Doesn't it?
- 42:14Speaker 1: Like that?
- 42:14Speaker 3: He actually looks a little bit like Robbie.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Yeah, And you know, I guess if you're gonna be clean,
- 42:21Speaker 2: you can't wear it. I don't think you can wear it.
- 42:23Speaker 2: And I'm sure right like that's a cowboy. Look. Oh,
- 42:26Speaker 2: now you're really reading thing, reading into his style? What
- 42:30Speaker 2: else am I doing here? I know nothing about any
- 42:32Speaker 2: of us men? All right? Continue? Okay.
- 42:36Speaker 3: Marcus is next. He is from Raleigh, North Carolina. He's
- 42:40Speaker 3: an Army Ranger veteran, and he is thirty one. The
- 42:45Speaker 3: producer say he's a red life superhero, the military veteran
- 42:49Speaker 3: and Harvard alum. Is excited to meet Jen and hopes
- 42:54Speaker 3: that she's him. The superhero thing actually works when you
- 42:59Speaker 3: put all of those things together. He hopes that she's kind, honest,
- 43:04Speaker 3: and humble, the kind of woman that she's been searching for.
- 43:08Speaker 3: He loves to binge watch New Girl. He hopes to
- 43:11Speaker 3: be an astronaut one day. Wow. He is ambitious and
- 43:16Speaker 3: his haired flower is the Adelweiss because it's a symbol
- 43:20Speaker 3: of dedication and it's a great song from the sound
- 43:23Speaker 3: of Music.
- 43:24Speaker 2: I want to know when he's planning on becoming an astronaut,
- 43:27Speaker 2: because he's thirty one years old at this. You know,
- 43:30Speaker 2: right now NASA is recruiting kids that are a lot
- 43:33Speaker 2: younger bringing him up through the system, So he might
- 43:35Speaker 2: have missed his chance there. But who am I to
- 43:37Speaker 2: tell somebody not to pursue their dreams.
- 43:40Speaker 3: I wonder what he studied for him to want to
- 43:43Speaker 3: go into that.
- 43:44Speaker 2: I mean, something very smart. He went to Harvard. The
- 43:46Speaker 2: big thing on this guy is he does have a
- 43:48Speaker 2: lot going for him. I just don't know why he's
- 43:53Speaker 2: sitting the way he's sitting. He literally is just framing
- 43:56Speaker 2: his crotch with white hands on and the camera person
- 44:03Speaker 2: was like, hey, take that one piece of your shirt,
- 44:05Speaker 2: the corner of it. Just lay it over so it
- 44:07Speaker 2: covers it up. But like, what a weird way to sit.
- 44:11Speaker 2: I can't can't believe the things you pick up on.
- 44:14Speaker 2: Isn't that weird though? Doesn't it kind of look uncomfortable?
- 44:16Speaker 3: Like to me, you're totally right, Like he.
- 44:19Speaker 2: Probably can do the splits, like you know, forget about
- 44:22Speaker 2: the guy earlier. This guy's doing the splits in his photo.
- 44:25Speaker 3: Well wait till you see the next photo. Look at Marvin.
- 44:28Speaker 3: His whole hand is covering his junk.
- 44:31Speaker 2: It's just a weird way to do a close up.
- 44:33Speaker 3: If his hand wasn't there, you would definitely be able
- 44:35Speaker 3: to see an outline.
- 44:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just a weird way to take a close
- 44:39Speaker 2: up photo. So it's not as much on these guys
- 44:41Speaker 2: as it's much on the photographer. But like, why do
- 44:45Speaker 2: we need to see what's happening? Like, just show us,
- 44:47Speaker 2: you know, from chest up, pup whatever. That's so true.
- 44:51Speaker 2: We just need really, we do, just need chest up.
- 44:54Speaker 2: I'm a big fan of this guy already. You want
- 44:56Speaker 2: to know why, Ashley, Yeah, why love the T shirt
- 44:59Speaker 2: jacket combo combo. I think it's so underrated. I think
- 45:01Speaker 2: it's such a smooth, good look, and I think it
- 45:03Speaker 2: can be traveled in. I think it can go to
- 45:05Speaker 2: meetings in. I think it shows confidence and it shows comfort.
- 45:09Speaker 2: He can slip those pants off, put on some athletic
- 45:11Speaker 2: shorts and go for a run within two minutes. And
- 45:14Speaker 2: I am all about efficiency, So I like what he's
- 45:16Speaker 2: doing here.
- 45:17Speaker 3: Well, he's probably all about that efficient life because he's
- 45:20Speaker 3: a luxury event planner. He's twenty eight. He's from Santa Monica, California.
- 45:25Speaker 3: He's the CEO of his own company, and he loves
- 45:30Speaker 3: things that are luxurious in life. He's always down to
- 45:33Speaker 3: be like you have noticed a GQ ready, but he's
- 45:37Speaker 3: also down to go camping and explore nature, so he's
- 45:40Speaker 3: ready to get those shorts on. How did you know this?
- 45:43Speaker 3: He was born in Cameroon, Africa. He speaks French fluently,
- 45:50Speaker 3: and he dreams of buying a beachside mansion in Malibu.
- 45:54Speaker 2: I hope he does it one day. I hope he
- 45:58Speaker 2: does everything he dreams of. It's a lofty goal, it is.
- 46:03Speaker 2: I think as we get older in life, those kind
- 46:06Speaker 2: of things become less and less important because it seems
- 46:09Speaker 2: like it pushes me to pursue things I don't necessarily
- 46:13Speaker 2: feel as healthy for me or my relationship. For him,
- 46:15Speaker 2: he might be able to do it all, and I
- 46:17Speaker 2: hope this man does again. I like him because I
- 46:20Speaker 2: think in a Rose simony, He's going to rock this
- 46:22Speaker 2: same look and I'm going to respect it. It's better
- 46:25Speaker 2: than the sweater sweatshirt jacket combo. They have me in
- 46:29Speaker 2: as the bachelor. I think a T shirt so much better,
- 46:32Speaker 2: so much easier to go. He's probably around a while
- 46:38Speaker 2: because I do think he probably is is charismatic, but
- 46:42Speaker 2: I still not picking him in my top four. I
- 46:43Speaker 2: think he's a top sixer.
- 46:46Speaker 3: Okay, I would say top eight er. Moving on to Matt.
- 46:54Speaker 3: Matt has an interesting look. He pretty much has a
- 46:57Speaker 3: handlebar mustache, then has not continued with the goatee. He
- 47:04Speaker 3: just has a soul patch on his chin. He also
- 47:07Speaker 3: has short dreads and he is an insurance executive twenty
- 47:12Speaker 3: seven from Atlanta, Georgia. Climbing Mount Egg climbing Mount Everest
- 47:17Speaker 3: is at the peak of his bucket list pun intended,
- 47:21Speaker 3: and he really wishes that he could teleport. He's also
- 47:24Speaker 3: the only person in his family that has red hair.
- 47:28Speaker 2: Ben, this dude would be so handsome without the handlebar mustache.
- 47:32Speaker 3: I will just like, let's let's see what he looks
- 47:34Speaker 3: like without the facial hair.
- 47:36Speaker 2: Yeah, because like he's a stud. I think he's a
- 47:39Speaker 2: good time. Mike Mike, Mike take is. He is going
- 47:41Speaker 2: to be a good time. He is going to make
- 47:43Speaker 2: a lot of people happy. He's going to be very
- 47:45Speaker 2: friendly zen and no drama. That's just tough as you
- 47:53Speaker 2: pursue a relationship. I'm all for the no drama, but
- 47:57Speaker 2: having just like a zen household that can be let
- 48:00Speaker 2: that freak you out. It freaks me out. I don't
- 48:04Speaker 2: know how we do that. I have one of the sweetest,
- 48:06Speaker 2: nicest wives ever, and there's just no possibility of us
- 48:10Speaker 2: ever functioning in like a Zen environment. Conflict is necessary.
- 48:17Speaker 3: Well, also just like I think a little bit of
- 48:19Speaker 3: chaos is comforting.
- 48:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it just feels weird to me.
- 48:23Speaker 3: All right, we have Mosey next. He is from Albany,
- 48:28Speaker 3: New York. He's an algebra teacher. He's twenty five, and
- 48:32Speaker 3: he speaks Spanish fluently. He played football professionally in the
- 48:36Speaker 3: XFL and of course he can't date you if you
- 48:42Speaker 3: have a pet tarantula, so he's not narrowing down his
- 48:45Speaker 3: dating pool very much.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Yeah. He You know what impressive that he did the
- 48:51Speaker 2: XFL thing. I think athletes kind of always have an
- 48:57Speaker 2: advantage on this show because of the competitive drive that
- 49:01Speaker 2: they have. You know, I'm interested to learn more about
- 49:06Speaker 2: this guy. He He's given me a very joyful vibe
- 49:13Speaker 2: right now. But here's the thing I wonder in his life.
- 49:16Speaker 2: So he's an algebra teacher. Now, he played in the XFL.
- 49:21Speaker 2: I was gonna question, like, what has been his life
- 49:23Speaker 2: since the XFL, But honestly, it feels like he's kind
- 49:26Speaker 2: of settled into a good place. We don't see a
- 49:29Speaker 2: lot of male teachers on this show. I have a
- 49:32Speaker 2: feeling we're going to really enjoy our time with Caleb,
- 49:36Speaker 2: and I think we're going to really like him. I
- 49:38Speaker 2: think I'm gonna like him too.
- 49:49Speaker 3: All right, Ricky, he's from Miami, Florida. He's a pharmaceutical rep.
- 49:55Speaker 3: Twenty eight.
- 49:58Speaker 2: A guy like Ricky is every girl's dream. The producer's right.
- 50:02Speaker 2: The former pro baseball player.
- 50:04Speaker 3: Is looking for a deep emotional connection and is tired
- 50:07Speaker 3: of superficial the superficial dating scene. He was born and
- 50:11Speaker 3: raised in Puerto Rico before moving to Florida, and he
- 50:15Speaker 3: learned English as a teen by writing poetry and watching.
- 50:19Speaker 2: Wrong Comes.
- 50:22Speaker 3: Very Lots another Spanish speaker.
- 50:24Speaker 2: You're doing exactly what he wants you to do, which
- 50:28Speaker 2: makes me concern this guy.
- 50:31Speaker 3: Here's one thing that's super interesting. He never celebrates his birthday.
- 50:37Speaker 2: I don't really either.
- 50:39Speaker 3: I'm not a big birthday person.
- 50:41Speaker 2: You know, we go to dinner.
- 50:42Speaker 3: I don't think too much of it. But like, what
- 50:44Speaker 3: do you mean, like you don't celebrate it? Like do
- 50:46Speaker 3: you just pretend like it's a normal day?
- 50:48Speaker 2: Try to you do? People? I have people in my
- 50:51Speaker 2: life that kind of force me not to. I prefer
- 50:55Speaker 2: not to. I mean it's nice. I guess it's nice
- 50:57Speaker 2: to be like told happy birthday. Yeah, I am appreciative
- 51:00Speaker 2: for you being alive.
- 51:02Speaker 3: But like, I'm not somebody who's gonna throw myself a
- 51:04Speaker 3: party unless it's like thirty forty and even then it's
- 51:08Speaker 3: gonna be tame.
- 51:09Speaker 2: Yeah. I you know what, I am not the best
- 51:13Speaker 2: person to be breaking down these people. Because here's what
- 51:15Speaker 2: I always just have a hard time with is anybody
- 51:18Speaker 2: that feels like they're trying too hard. I want you
- 51:20Speaker 2: to try hard. I want you to care. I want
- 51:22Speaker 2: you to be intentional. I want you to, you know,
- 51:25Speaker 2: fight for this relationship that you're gonna care about so much.
- 51:28Speaker 2: But anybody that comes and says all the right things
- 51:31Speaker 2: within the first five minutes have typically been people who
- 51:35Speaker 2: are covering up all the wrong things that you know
- 51:38Speaker 2: are hiding. Now, Ricky, if he truly is this guy
- 51:42Speaker 2: if he truly is the compassionate former professional athlete who's
- 51:46Speaker 2: now has a great job and loves writing poetry and
- 51:48Speaker 2: watching rom coms with you, goodness, gracious, absolute madness. Like
- 51:55Speaker 2: this guy is gonna swoon every human on this earth.
- 52:01Speaker 2: But it almost sounds a little too good to be true.
- 52:04Speaker 3: Okay, Sam m is gonna go far. He's got the
- 52:10Speaker 3: look of he's just got this look that gets bachelorettes going.
- 52:17Speaker 2: He's got the Denver tattoo. I don't know, I've seen
- 52:20Speaker 2: too many people have this tattoo. What tattoo is that
- 52:23Speaker 2: it's like pine trees on your wrist area. It looks
- 52:26Speaker 2: cool when you see it, like for the first time,
- 52:28Speaker 2: but so many people out here get it. I mean,
- 52:30Speaker 2: it's kind of like the thing.
- 52:31Speaker 3: So it just he's from Myrtle Beach too, So he's
- 52:34Speaker 3: a beach guy, not a mountain guy. He's twenty seven.
- 52:37Speaker 3: He's a contractor. He has never been to the West
- 52:42Speaker 3: Coast until he got on the Bachelorette same Really, I
- 52:47Speaker 3: was on the West Coast, but I had never been
- 52:49Speaker 3: to La. He was homeschooled growing up. When he isn't
- 52:53Speaker 3: working and contracting, He loves to ride motorcycles, golf, and
- 52:57Speaker 3: watch Sons of Anarchy, So like a biker dude.
- 53:01Speaker 2: Well, I kind of I kind of see him being
- 53:03Speaker 2: the Sons of Anarchy type of guy.
- 53:04Speaker 3: Yeah, Like he looks like he could be in the show.
- 53:06Speaker 2: Yeah, And like my buddies who have that like love
- 53:09Speaker 2: the show. It's a good show. I like that show.
- 53:11Speaker 2: But the people that really get into it like usually
- 53:15Speaker 2: have a little like anger, you know, underneath them, like
- 53:17Speaker 2: the little fire, little spit in vinegar. Did you say
- 53:22Speaker 2: spit in vinegar? Yeah? What does that mean? I don't know.
- 53:27Speaker 2: It's like an expression. That's when I made up. But Sam, like,
- 53:33Speaker 2: uh so that'd be my concern. That'd be what had
- 53:36Speaker 2: I watch out for with Sam. He's either gonna be
- 53:39Speaker 2: a front runner or he's gonna be a villain and
- 53:42Speaker 2: maybe not villainous and like how we usually view villains,
- 53:45Speaker 2: he's gonna get way like angry, way too soon. So
- 53:48Speaker 2: we just got to watch to see which way that goes.
- 53:53Speaker 3: Okay, Next up is Sam on another Sam and Sam
- 53:58Speaker 3: n he he concerns me, okay, because this is all
- 54:04Speaker 3: I need to read. Sam and loves getting his eyebrows
- 54:07Speaker 3: threaded to keep up with them hashtag on fleek.
- 54:12Speaker 2: Well he is Persian, and my like, my buddy married
- 54:18Speaker 2: a woman who's Persian, and I will say, like the
- 54:21Speaker 2: hair can get out of control, and so it's fair.
- 54:24Speaker 3: Yes, but you saying that your buddy does the threading.
- 54:29Speaker 2: No, she goes and gets threading. But I mean, if
- 54:32Speaker 2: he says it's on fleek.
- 54:33Speaker 3: Then automatically on fleek, and the fact that he gets
- 54:36Speaker 3: excited about doing it.
- 54:38Speaker 2: If he says that he keeps his eyebrows on fleek,
- 54:40Speaker 2: then this man will last no more than ten minutes
- 54:43Speaker 2: on this shit.
- 54:43Speaker 3: I know this expression on fleek is so outdated that
- 54:47Speaker 3: even I, as a millennial who like it's on fleek
- 54:51Speaker 3: is something that gen Z would make fun of millennials
- 54:53Speaker 3: for saying six years ago. But like we even know
- 54:56Speaker 3: that that is really embarrassing to say.
- 54:58Speaker 2: Now. So this guy's like.
- 55:00Speaker 3: Meek, how old is he? He's twenty five? He is
- 55:06Speaker 3: a gen Zer interesting, but he is from a big
- 55:10Speaker 3: Persian family. I understand that you're gonna have to do
- 55:12Speaker 3: something to your eyebrows, get it. You're gonna have to
- 55:15Speaker 3: clean them up, You're gonna have to pluck him. You
- 55:17Speaker 3: may even have to like go to the professional but.
- 55:20Speaker 2: I don't know that.
- 55:21Speaker 3: I want a guy to get excited about going to
- 55:23Speaker 3: get his eyebrows done. That's all I gotta say about him.
- 55:27Speaker 2: You like a rough and tumble man. I want a
- 55:32Speaker 2: manly guy.
- 55:32Speaker 3: I want a manly guy who keeps up with himself.
- 55:34Speaker 2: Though.
- 55:36Speaker 3: All right, Spencer's next, Spencer's cute Spencer. Okay, okay, Spencer,
- 55:42Speaker 3: you're your pet portrait entrepreneur. He's thirty. He's from Dallas, Texas.
- 55:48Speaker 3: He his entrepreneurial work is centered on pets and inspired
- 55:55Speaker 3: by It was inspired by his adorable dog rows. It
- 55:59Speaker 3: could be wrong, but spelled really fancy in like a
- 56:01Speaker 3: French way. You've got to know more about this profession.
- 56:06Speaker 3: He's that guy that does pet portraits. That's hilarious. He
- 56:12Speaker 3: has hiked forty seven miles through the Grand Canyon for
- 56:16Speaker 3: twenty seven hours straight. He loves watching the office, and
- 56:20Speaker 3: he's run two ultra marathons in the last year.
- 56:23Speaker 2: What's an ultra marathon. It's long, long ways. I don't
- 56:27Speaker 2: know how far it is. It's just like running a lot.
- 56:31Speaker 2: I don't think we spend a ton of time on
- 56:33Speaker 2: this guy. I don't think he's around very long. I
- 56:35Speaker 2: do want to know how to decide between people who
- 56:37Speaker 2: are standing and sitting. Seems like a it seems like
- 56:42Speaker 2: a weird, weird vibe there. I think this guy's going
- 56:47Speaker 2: to be likable. I just don't think he's going to
- 56:49Speaker 2: be around very long. I think he's like going to
- 56:51Speaker 2: be like a very friendly, like nerdy, kind of just
- 56:54Speaker 2: goofy guy who walks in and he's he reading his bio.
- 56:59Speaker 2: It reminds me of a lot of people who come
- 57:01Speaker 2: and go very quickly.
- 57:02Speaker 3: Okay, Thomas En. He's from Georgia. He's a retirement advisor
- 57:08Speaker 3: at thirty one. He's from a big Vietnamese family. He's
- 57:12Speaker 3: very proud of his family's culture and heritage, and Jen
- 57:17Speaker 3: is also Vietnamese, so this could be something here. He
- 57:23Speaker 3: loves watching guys grocer games.
- 57:25Speaker 2: I love that, so do I. And he is a
- 57:30Speaker 2: former professional swimmer. Yeah. Being a professional swimmer is a
- 57:34Speaker 2: massive undertaking. I mean it takes so many hours in
- 57:37Speaker 2: the pool looking down at a line and just grinding,
- 57:40Speaker 2: and I respect that. I think if he spent any
- 57:43Speaker 2: portion of his life training for professional swimming, he has
- 57:47Speaker 2: some grit determination and he knows how to be bored,
- 57:51Speaker 2: which I think is a very underestimated character, and somebody
- 57:55Speaker 2: that you are looking for in a life partner, somebody
- 57:57Speaker 2: who is willing to be bored and knows how to
- 57:59Speaker 2: be bored and can sit in that boredom without like
- 58:03Speaker 2: making everybody else's problem. When you're a swimmer, you spend
- 58:05Speaker 2: a lot of time being bored. They're not a lot
- 58:07Speaker 2: going on.
- 58:08Speaker 3: Really, I never think about that. I think that as
- 58:10Speaker 3: like running, what you'd be bored too.
- 58:13Speaker 2: Think about swimming. You're literally staring at the bottom of
- 58:15Speaker 2: a pool.
- 58:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess you're right. Running you're at least getting
- 58:18Speaker 3: new environments.
- 58:20Speaker 2: And you're like doing it for three, four or five
- 58:22Speaker 2: hours a day every day. Awful. I mean, just I
- 58:26Speaker 2: mean I was a big swimmer. Love swimming, so hard
- 58:29Speaker 2: to keep engaged with.
- 58:31Speaker 3: Did you see any of those Diane Nyak documentaries or movies.
- 58:37Speaker 3: She's a lady who in her sixties swam from Cuba
- 58:42Speaker 3: to Florida. You've got I watch both the movie and
- 58:45Speaker 3: the documentary.
- 58:47Speaker 2: It's wild. It's impressive. So I like this guy. I
- 58:51Speaker 2: think he's around a long time. I think they connect
- 58:53Speaker 2: on a deep level. I think he should be in
- 58:55Speaker 2: our top four. So far, we've only said two people
- 58:58Speaker 2: that I'm confident being the top four. I think he
- 59:00Speaker 2: is in the top four. I like this guy. Yeah,
- 59:04Speaker 2: me too.
- 59:05Speaker 3: Okay, so Thomas A is gonna be our last guy.
- 59:08Speaker 3: We've gone from them all. He is a physio therapist
- 59:13Speaker 3: from Ontario. What is a physiotherapist?
- 59:17Speaker 2: You're asking me questions. I don't know what. A physiotherapist
- 59:22Speaker 2: works with patients to help them manage pain, balance, mobility,
- 59:25Speaker 2: and motor function.
- 59:28Speaker 3: He's like our little jeopardy that comes in all right.
- 59:31Speaker 2: Cool.
- 59:32Speaker 3: So he enjoys driving with no specific destination in mind.
- 59:38Speaker 3: He has gone ice skating thousands of times. Okay, you
- 59:41Speaker 3: live in Canada and he dreams of snowboarding in the
- 59:45Speaker 3: Swiss Alps.
- 59:45Speaker 2: He also plays hockey.
- 59:47Speaker 3: You know, he's he's got a He's part of a
- 59:49Speaker 3: running group. This is a guy who likes to keep active.
- 59:53Speaker 2: Honestly, we just I can't give this guy much credit yet. Why.
- 59:57Speaker 2: It's also the post, isn't it. It's the his pose?
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: I mean, like the poor picture that they posted to
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: him gives him no justice, Like it is literally he's
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: fighting against the photo.
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: Yeah, he might have a good face, but like we
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: can't really Yeah, like he might look.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: Really good on TV. He might. He's gonna be maybe
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: the sleeper pick here because because right now they may.
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: I mean, this is just he likes a nerd bomber.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: They they wildly like messed him over here in this
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: picture because everything we read in his bio makes him
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: seem like just like a normal good dude that likes
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: to have fun, that likes to do that, likes to compete,
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: that's athletic, all these things that you know, we kind
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: of look for. He's not saying anything super cringey here,
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: but goodness gracious, his photo makes me think he he
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: doesn't ever even show up to the mansion. He doesn't
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: even get out of the car. My gosh.
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: Okay, So earlier in the episode, when we were looking
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: for Devin and I said I was gonna DM Devon,
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: I couldn't find his Instagram profile. Yeah, but I found
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: this reddit thread that has all the other guys Instagram profiles.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: There's only if you missing. And I'm looking at Thomas
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: now and.
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: He's really cute. See I told you, I can't even
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: go deep into this because I just feel like they
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: really messed him over.
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: No way, Like he would be the guy that walks
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: out of a limo and I go, that could be like,
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: this guy's my type. I'd be like, that is a
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: guy I can't wait to talk to. That's shocking based
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: on this picture.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: Yeah, they messed him over. Well, that's the guys from
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: this season. We've ran through them all. Do this in parts.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: It's very long, obviously very drawn out, but you at
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: least get a picture an idea of who these guys
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: are our first impressions. None of them will ever be
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: true of each of them. This is our annual breakdown
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: the men or women that are announced going into whatever
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: respective season is coming in front of us. Gen season
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: is right around the corner. She has a group of men.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: Now what this is why this.
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: Game that we just played for the past hour means
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: absolutely nothing Because I'm looking at this guy's profile right now,
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: and I'm like, if only we looked at every guy's
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: Instagram profile to be as fun. Well, I know, should
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: we do that next time where we just go to
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: the Instagram because that would be more authentic. Look at
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: this guy, He's a totally different dude than what we
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: just analyzed.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: Yeah, authenticity is not what this episode is about. This
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: episode is about everything inauthentic in the world, which probably
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: makes it one of the most unhealthy episodes we record
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: all year, every year for the last twenty seasons. Goodness gracious. Well,
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: we hope that you share your opinion opinions on each
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: person's first picture, and then we'll be excited to watch
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: these men actually compete or involve themselves in Bachelorette season.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: I think she'll have a great group of guys. I
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: think there's a lot of nice guys here, a lot
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: of guys with a lot of different personalities, and I'm
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: excited to see them mix and mingle.
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: They say, don't judge a book by its cover. I
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: think what means even more is, don't judge a man
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: based on his Bachelorette profile picture.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: Please don't.
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: Every year we're like ugh, ugh, And then then they
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: see him on TV and you're like, oh cute, or
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: you go their Instagram you're like, oh, okay, okay, she
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: does have a selection.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I do question some people's decisions to wear matching
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: watches with shirts. That's just me. Hey, until next time,
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: I've been Ben, I've been Ashley.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: See you guys, follow The Ben and Ashley I Almost
