- 0:21Speaker 1: Mike Golick Sr. is with us.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Check out the Golicks weekdays, 10 to noon, on ESPN Radio.
- 0:28Speaker 2: He looks tired. I think he bit off more than
- 0:31Speaker 2: he could chew. And I got news from Mike Golick Sr.
- 0:34Speaker 2: It's only week three.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Hey, Mike. Yeah, let me tell you what. Sleep has
- 0:40Speaker 3: never felt so good when I get some downtime. Yeah,
- 0:43Speaker 3: I didn't think I'd be working as much as I
- 0:45Speaker 3: am now. I'm enjoying it, no doubt about it. Boy,
- 0:49Speaker 3: oh boy, it's a lot of travel.
- 0:50Speaker 2: You and I have discussed this. As long as they're
- 0:52Speaker 2: still willing to pay us, Mike, just keep going, you know?
- 0:56Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I have a daughter who kind of refuses
- 0:59Speaker 3: to be on her own. So even though she's married
- 1:03Speaker 3: with a third kid on the way, it's amazing how
- 1:06Speaker 3: that works. Yes, I have two of those. So I
- 1:09Speaker 3: need to continue to make money. No question.
- 1:11Speaker 2: We are headed into what a great football weekend coming up, Mike.
- 1:14Speaker 2: You have to love the slate, especially on Saturday, right?
- 1:18Speaker 3: Oh, without question. So many great games. Quite honestly, I
- 1:22Speaker 3: think the game that I'm most intrigued with is Oregon-USC. Yeah.
- 1:28Speaker 3: You know, Lincoln Riley does not have a great record
- 1:31Speaker 3: against top 20 teams. And Oregon had the misstep against
- 1:35Speaker 3: Oklahoma State, who in week one got drilled by Tulsa.
- 1:38Speaker 3: So I'll be interested to see which team kind of
- 1:42Speaker 3: steps up there.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Mike, who has the most top to bottom?
- 1:45Speaker 2: Who do you think has the most talented college football
- 1:48Speaker 2: team in the country?
- 1:50Speaker 3: Man, that's a tough question.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Because I don't think there's a standout team. I mean...
- 1:58Speaker 3: Quite honestly, I think Mississippi should get the nod right now,
- 2:01Speaker 3: and it'll change every week. You know, they've beaten two
- 2:04Speaker 3: ranked teams already, which is stunning now. They're underdogs going
- 2:09Speaker 3: to Florida. Yes. I mean, the last I checked, they were.
- 2:12Speaker 3: I don't know if they still are. It's stunning to me.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Trinidad and Chambliss, you know, I had said, and it
- 2:20Speaker 3: wasn't rocket science, needed a monster game against LSU, and
- 2:23Speaker 3: they got one from him. But I would give it
- 2:27Speaker 3: to them right now. Listen, not just because I do
- 2:31Speaker 3: their games. I would put Notre Dame up there because
- 2:34Speaker 3: of Notre Dame's defense. They have a heck of a
- 2:36Speaker 3: passing attack. The running game's coming along. But the defense
- 2:40Speaker 3: is deep and stifling right now.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Mike, is there worry of an emotional letdown for Ole
- 2:46Speaker 4: Miss against Florida, and is that why it's that way,
- 2:49Speaker 4: considering the lead-up to that LSU game and then the
- 2:52Speaker 4: dramatic victory?
- 2:53Speaker 3: Without a doubt, absolutely. I mean, you're talking about 18-
- 2:57Speaker 3: to 23-year-olds just coming off an unbelievable, mentally exhausting week,
- 3:04Speaker 3: a high of the physical game that they played in
- 3:07Speaker 3: getting the win, and then to come down. It's tough
- 3:11Speaker 3: to reach that level of, I'm up for this game
- 3:14Speaker 3: two weeks in a row, let alone when you had
- 3:17Speaker 3: the game against LSU, especially at home. So I don't
- 3:21Speaker 3: think there's any doubt people are wondering if they're going
- 3:23Speaker 3: to come out flat.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Reese Davis told us yesterday he would not be surprised
- 3:27Speaker 2: if Florida wins that game. And that's interesting. Mike, you
- 3:30Speaker 2: know what's funny? I think we saw the best college
- 3:33Speaker 2: football game of the year. There's no way we're going
- 3:36Speaker 2: to see a game moving forward unless those two teams,
- 3:38Speaker 2: LSU and Mississippi, meet up in the playoff. There is
- 3:41Speaker 2: no way we're going to see a game with more
- 3:43Speaker 2: storylines than that one.
- 3:44Speaker 3: It's crazy. No, no. It was a good game. But
- 3:47Speaker 3: as far as storylines, you're right. Just because Lane Kiffin
- 3:51Speaker 3: has made himself out to be such the villain in this.
- 3:55Speaker 3: There probably will be better games. There's no way I
- 3:57Speaker 3: can say this early in the season. That's the best
- 4:00Speaker 3: actual football game we'll see. But with the storylines that
- 4:05Speaker 3: were involved, certainly you may not get as much drama
- 4:08Speaker 3: in another game.
- 4:10Speaker 5: Mike, every week I power rank my biggest frauds in
- 4:12Speaker 5: college football. And this week I'm looking at Oregon at USC.
- 4:16Speaker 5: And I think the loser of this game is going
- 4:18Speaker 5: to go to number one in my fraud rankings.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Yeah. You know, listen, Oregon already a game down with
- 4:24Speaker 3: their loss to Oklahoma State. USC, at least they're undefeated.
- 4:29Speaker 3: And that's the amazing thing. USC gets great athletes. But
- 4:33Speaker 3: as I mentioned, Lincoln Rowland, I think like two and eight.
- 4:36Speaker 3: I think it's that, right around there against top 20 teams. So, yeah,
- 4:42Speaker 3: this could be the death knell for Oregon, having two
- 4:45Speaker 3: losses before you even really get into the heart of
- 4:50Speaker 3: your Big Ten schedule, just starting it, and to have
- 4:53Speaker 3: two losses already. Only one would be in the Big Ten. Obviously,
- 4:56Speaker 3: Oklahoma State is not. But still, two losses on your
- 4:59Speaker 3: resume this early in the season. Ask Notre Dame how
- 5:02Speaker 3: that turned out last year.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Mike, elsewhere in the SEC, Texas A & M is
- 5:07Speaker 4: going to LSU. Is this a loser-goes-home game?
- 5:10Speaker 1: Yes.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Well, yeah. I mean, again, loser has two losses. And
- 5:15Speaker 3: as long as that 12-team playoff, you know, continue to
- 5:19Speaker 3: point to Notre Dame, look again. And now these teams
- 5:22Speaker 3: in a conference can still battle their way to possibly
- 5:26Speaker 3: a conference championship game depending on how the rest of
- 5:29Speaker 3: the season goes if teams beat each other up. But
- 5:33Speaker 3: other than that, yeah, two losses usually means an exit.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Had you label it, the loser does.
- 5:40Speaker 3: What, Mikey? Loser goes home.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Yes, but what if the home team loses?
- 5:46Speaker 3: Then they go home-home.
- 5:47Speaker 1: They just stay home.
- 5:49Speaker 4: No, they go back to where they came from.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Oh, where they were born.
- 5:55Speaker 2: What do you think here of Texas and Tennessee? College
- 5:58Speaker 2: game day going to be there. What an intriguing game.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Arch Manning, the number one team in the country. But, Mike,
- 6:04Speaker 2: college football is so funny.
- 6:06Speaker 1: You know this. You're not going to be surprised if
- 6:07Speaker 1: Tennessee wins that game.
- 6:09Speaker 3: No, no, I won't. How about this? The last time
- 6:12Speaker 3: a Manning played at Neyland Stadium, 1997, Peyton quarterbacking the Volunteers,
- 6:20Speaker 3: and they beat Vanderbilt as Arch Manning goes to Neyland Stadium. Listen,
- 6:25Speaker 3: Texas last year lost three games on the road. Two
- 6:29Speaker 3: other games went to overtime on the road. They were
- 6:32Speaker 3: not a great road team. Now, they bring back a
- 6:34Speaker 3: ton of reps today. from players who haven't moved on
- 6:39Speaker 3: either to the draft or in the portal. So they
- 6:41Speaker 3: have a lot of returning talent. But, no, that's the thing, guys.
- 6:45Speaker 3: I don't see one dominant team in college football right now.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Who do you think Peyton's rooting for? Mike, think about it.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Hold on a second.
- 6:56Speaker 2: If Junior decided to go to USC instead of to
- 7:00Speaker 2: Notre Dame– and Notre Dame played USC, and it was
- 7:03Speaker 2: a big, massive game, who would you be rooting for?
- 7:07Speaker 3: Notre Dame. I'd be rooting for my son to play well.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Of course, right.
- 7:17Speaker 3: And a loss to win.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Yes, but if he loses, you just don't want it
- 7:21Speaker 1: to be his fault, right?
- 7:22Speaker 3: Like one of those plays. Exactly, exactly. I wanted to say, son,
- 7:26Speaker 3: you played a good game. You can't control, you know.
- 7:28Speaker 3: What happened, whatever happened on the field. Right. At least
- 7:31Speaker 3: I say that publicly. Privately, I'd probably root for my
- 7:34Speaker 3: son's team.
- 7:35Speaker 1: There's a big difference. Junior is your son, and Arch
- 7:38Speaker 1: is not Peyton's. Well, yes.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Yes, yes, yes.
- 7:43Speaker 2: I think secretly Peyton is rooting for Tennessee. That would
- 7:46Speaker 2: be something.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Yes.
- 7:48Speaker 2: One of the teams you left out in terms of
- 7:51Speaker 2: top to bottom most talented, And I understand why you
- 7:54Speaker 2: would leave them out as Miami because.
- 7:55Speaker 1: They play in this conference. They're the only good team in.
- 7:58Speaker 2: That conference is Miami. Cause I feel like Miami is
- 8:01Speaker 2: the most talented team.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Like I do.
- 8:03Speaker 3: I listen, they, they have talent. I mean, coming out
- 8:07Speaker 3: of all ends. I mean, they are really, really talented,
- 8:11Speaker 3: but you're right. Yes. Playing in the ACC, they, they
- 8:13Speaker 3: should win that conference. They did just have a couple
- 8:15Speaker 3: of injuries. So we'll see where that takes them. But yeah,
- 8:21Speaker 3: I mean, they should roll through that conference and be
- 8:27Speaker 3: in the playoffs. And Notre Dame has them later this
- 8:30Speaker 3: season at Notre Dame. Last year it was at Miami
- 8:32Speaker 3: to open up the season. This one obviously is in
- 8:35Speaker 3: November at Notre Dame. That is going to be an
- 8:39Speaker 3: incredible matchup.
- 8:40Speaker 2: We'll get to the NFL with you in just a second.
- 8:43Speaker 2: You know, when I scroll through the schedule before the
- 8:45Speaker 2: season to try to identify which weeks are going to
- 8:47Speaker 2: be the best, some of the better games on the schedule,
- 8:50Speaker 2: I did not circle Missouri at Mississippi State.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Here we are with those two playing a big game
- 8:57Speaker 1: this weekend.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Well, yeah, those are two teams that don't roll off
- 9:02Speaker 3: the tongue when you're talking about top SEC teams, right?
- 9:06Speaker 3: But they're putting themselves in the conversation, and that's all
- 9:10Speaker 3: you can do. Now, again, we're just starting to get
- 9:14Speaker 3: into conference schedule, so we have a long way to go.
- 9:17Speaker 3: We know in the SEC those teams beat each other up,
- 9:20Speaker 3: so What you see in week three is going to
- 9:22Speaker 3: be way different than what you see in week 10.
- 9:36Speaker 5: Mike, I'm workshopping a take here because I was one
- 9:38Speaker 5: of Justin Herbert's last defenders in the NFL. I think
- 9:43Speaker 5: the unknown of Fernando Mendoza is better than the known
- 9:46Speaker 5: of Justin Herbert.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Well, I mean, listen. I hate when– and I know
- 9:52Speaker 3: quarterback's the most important position, but you can't put everything
- 9:55Speaker 3: on the quarterback. Their whole line has been a mess.
- 9:58Speaker 3: They lost two of their tackles last year, lost the
- 10:01Speaker 3: center this year. Both tackles coming off major injuries still
- 10:05Speaker 3: haven't hit their stride. It's not just on Herbert, but,
- 10:09Speaker 3: you know, a lot of people need to look in
- 10:11Speaker 3: the mirror. But they are certainly one of the more
- 10:14Speaker 3: disappointing teams. We keep saying every year with Justin Herbert
- 10:17Speaker 3: that are going to compete– In the AFC West, they're
- 10:20Speaker 3: going to compete in the AFC West. And now, look,
- 10:23Speaker 3: the Raiders are more competitive in the AFC West than
- 10:26Speaker 3: the Chargers are.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Mike, what happened to Jackson Dart is unfortunate. I like
- 10:30Speaker 2: watching him play. The Giants looked like they were on
- 10:32Speaker 2: to something there. But I do find this part of
- 10:35Speaker 2: it fascinating. Now that Jackson is out for the season,
- 10:38Speaker 2: I know Harbaugh says maybe the playoffs, they have to
- 10:40Speaker 2: get there with Jameis Winston. But with Jackson Dart out
- 10:43Speaker 2: for the season, how do you approach next year's draft
- 10:46Speaker 2: if you're the New York Giants?
- 10:50Speaker 3: Oh, you don't take a quarterback.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Really? Early? Mike, he keeps getting hurt.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Jackson Dart's your quarterback.
- 10:56Speaker 1: But he's injury-prone. I mean.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Well, I mean, what do you do with Scadaboo? What
- 11:00Speaker 3: do you do with Malik Neighbors? I mean, they both
- 11:03Speaker 3: had major injuries. Right. And were out. Now, I know
- 11:07Speaker 3: Dart went in the blue tent for heads, and he
- 11:11Speaker 3: missed a couple of games with a concussion. But this
- 11:15Speaker 3: is a blown knee. This is.
- 11:18Speaker 3: I'm not going to sit there and say Jackson Dart
- 11:21Speaker 3: is injury prone because I did that first game. Right.
- 11:25Speaker 3: And I think he was smarter running the ball, going
- 11:28Speaker 3: out of bounds. He got hit late out of bounds
- 11:30Speaker 3: one time. That's not his fault. That's the defense's fault.
- 11:32Speaker 1: No, he played great.
- 11:33Speaker 3: But he slid. He went head first a couple of
- 11:36Speaker 3: times to try and get first downs, and I get it.
- 11:38Speaker 3: But he went out of bounds a couple of times.
- 11:40Speaker 3: He slid a couple of times. So... I let's hope
- 11:43Speaker 3: he's learned that, but no, they absolutely are not taking
- 11:47Speaker 3: a quarterback. He is the quarterback of that team.
- 11:49Speaker 1: All right.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Interesting.
- 11:50Speaker 1: I think I would take a quarterback.
- 11:51Speaker 2: If I'm being honest with you, I just, I have
- 11:53Speaker 2: no faith that that guy is going to play 17
- 11:55Speaker 2: games for me in any given season.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I just don't.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Yeah. I think they had their eggs in the Jackson
- 12:00Speaker 3: dart basket. And if they have a higher pick, they
- 12:02Speaker 3: need to pick someone that's going to help the team
- 12:04Speaker 3: other than the quarterback position where they think they have.
- 12:07Speaker 2: How do you feel about Joe Flacco being reunited with
- 12:10Speaker 2: John Harbaugh?
- 12:11Speaker 1: What do you think?
- 12:12Speaker 3: Oh, my God. Joe Flacco. Isn't that something else? I mean,
- 12:16Speaker 3: who do you get? I mean, you have Jameis. You
- 12:19Speaker 3: obviously got to give Jameis a shot. He didn't play
- 12:21Speaker 3: well in relief. But now Matt Nagy will make the
- 12:24Speaker 3: offense around him. Yes.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Right?
- 12:26Speaker 3: Yep. You know, it's going to be based on Jameis' talents.
- 12:30Speaker 3: And that's going to be shorter passes. We know it
- 12:33Speaker 3: can be interception prone. Be like a point guard. Get
- 12:36Speaker 3: the ball out to your receivers. Hopefully get a good
- 12:39Speaker 3: running game. And hopefully the defense contributes as well. But
- 12:42Speaker 3: they have to get another quarterback as well. I mean,
- 12:46Speaker 3: just like Jameis was one play away from starting and
- 12:48Speaker 3: now he is, the next quarterback is going to be
- 12:51Speaker 3: one play away from starting. Is that going to be
- 12:54Speaker 3: Jack Hainer, you know, who was on the practice squad
- 12:57Speaker 3: and he'll be the backup now, or are they going
- 12:59Speaker 3: to get a vet?
- 13:00Speaker 5: Mike, looking at the last six games that Drake May
- 13:02Speaker 5: has played, he's thrown for six touchdowns and eight interceptions.
- 13:06Speaker 5: Is there any reason for concern in New England when
- 13:09Speaker 5: it comes to your young quarterbacks?
- 13:10Speaker 3: Well, certainly, that's the biggest concern of all with a quarterback.
- 13:14Speaker 3: And it doesn't matter if you're young or old. You
- 13:16Speaker 3: worry about more growing pains when they're young of throwing interceptions.
- 13:21Speaker 3: This guy was a runner-up to the MVP last year,
- 13:23Speaker 3: I believe. So, I mean, he had a monster year.
- 13:27Speaker 3: But turnovers, man, I mean, they'll get you every time.
- 13:30Speaker 3: And that's the worst thing, really, a quarterback can do.
- 13:32Speaker 3: I'd rather him dump a ball and have a bad
- 13:35Speaker 3: completion percentage than turn the ball over. How much is,
- 13:39Speaker 3: you know... We talked about the receiver-quarterback relationship with he
- 13:43Speaker 3: and A.J. Brown, and A.J. Brown is still out for
- 13:46Speaker 3: a bit. So we'll see when he comes back. But
- 13:49Speaker 3: that's definitely a concern. Now, again, you look at interceptions,
- 13:53Speaker 3: not all are on the quarterback. Could be a wrong route.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Could be a tip ball. You never know. But still, yeah,
- 13:59Speaker 3: for him, because he has done so well so early,
- 14:05Speaker 3: the expectation is, He'll just keep getting better, but now
- 14:09Speaker 3: turning the ball over is just more unacceptable.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Mike, what kind of reception do you think Deshaun Watson's
- 14:14Speaker 2: going to get in Cleveland?
- 14:16Speaker 3: He's going to get booed. I mean, I know now
- 14:18Speaker 3: he's talking about, you know, hey, mending fences and stuff,
- 14:22Speaker 3: but I don't know why he said the things he
- 14:24Speaker 3: said publicly. And here's the reason why I think he'll
- 14:27Speaker 3: get booed is the Cleveland Browns fans know he's not
- 14:31Speaker 3: their quarterback. He is not the quarterback of the future.
- 14:34Speaker 3: He's going to be the quarterback for X amount of
- 14:36Speaker 3: more games before Shador Sanders probably takes over. We all
- 14:40Speaker 3: think at some point that's going to happen. There's no
- 14:44Speaker 3: way Deshaun Watson is going to get another contract with
- 14:47Speaker 3: the Cleveland Browns. So he's not the future. If he
- 14:50Speaker 3: were the future quarterback, the fans may say, okay, we
- 14:53Speaker 3: may not like what he did off the field. He
- 14:56Speaker 3: hasn't played as well on the field as he did
- 14:58Speaker 3: with Houston. He's gotten injured, but that's our quarterback. We're
- 15:01Speaker 3: going to stay behind him. They know he's not going
- 15:03Speaker 3: to be the future of that team. So I don't
- 15:06Speaker 3: see it being a very good reception. And as I said,
- 15:08Speaker 3: Deshaun didn't help the case at all by stuff he
- 15:11Speaker 3: said in press conferences.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Patrick Mahomes was okay in week one. He was great
- 15:16Speaker 2: in week two. Patrick Mahomes is back. It's safe to say, right?
- 15:18Speaker 2: He is fully back, Mike?
- 15:21Speaker 3: Oh, I think he's fully back, and they have an
- 15:24Speaker 3: extra chip now, and that's a running game. Yes. I mean,
- 15:28Speaker 3: what Kenneth Walker and this O-line has done. Kenneth Walker
- 15:32Speaker 3: ran for 173 yards in week one. That's the most
- 15:35Speaker 3: by a running back in a Pat Mahomes start. Right.
- 15:39Speaker 3: I mean, their rushing attack is incredible, which certainly even
- 15:42Speaker 3: takes pressure off Mahomes, who I did that game, did
- 15:46Speaker 3: this past game against the Colts. Colts kept it competitive,
- 15:49Speaker 3: taking it to overtime. But, yeah, Mahomes was fantastic. But
- 15:54Speaker 3: this added running game, what it's going to do for
- 15:57Speaker 3: this chief offense is amazing.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Mike, looking at the Green Bay Packers, they're 1-1, but
- 16:03Speaker 4: it's been ugly in both games overall. They play tonight
- 16:07Speaker 4: against the Atlanta Falcons. What do you expect to see
- 16:09Speaker 4: from them?
- 16:10Speaker 3: Well, I certainly, first on Atlanta's side, expect them to
- 16:13Speaker 3: throw for more yards than they have a game this season.
- 16:16Speaker 3: They're dead. They're 32nd in the league in passing yards
- 16:19Speaker 3: a game at 123. I got to believe Michael Penix Jr.
- 16:22Speaker 3: can throw for more yards than that. But Green Bay,
- 16:26Speaker 3: I said before the season, Josh Jacobs, we don't know
- 16:29Speaker 3: how long he's going to be out. And again, what
- 16:31Speaker 3: he did off the field, far worse and should be
- 16:35Speaker 3: the headline. But we're talking football here. And how it
- 16:40Speaker 3: hurts the running game, he's not there. But I thought
- 16:42Speaker 3: what hurt the most was Micah Parsons not being on defense.
- 16:46Speaker 3: We saw when Micah got hurt last year, the defense
- 16:49Speaker 3: couldn't get to the quarterback anymore. And he's missing at
- 16:52Speaker 3: least his first six games this year. So a lot's
- 16:55Speaker 3: going to end. But the offense has really been inconsistent.
- 16:59Speaker 3: So it'll be interesting to see. what kind of hole
- 17:03Speaker 3: they can avoid digging themselves into before they get any
- 17:07Speaker 3: semblance of a running game. And Micah Parsons comes back.
- 17:10Speaker 5: Micah, I listen to the Gullocks on ESPN Radio, and
- 17:12Speaker 5: my favorite segment is Hey Dad, where people could call
- 17:15Speaker 5: in and ask advice from you. I have a TV
- 17:19Speaker 5: I need to hang, and I don't want to go
- 17:22Speaker 5: out and hire somebody. I want to do this myself,
- 17:24Speaker 5: but it's a little bit out of my element. Do
- 17:26Speaker 5: you have any advice there?
- 17:28Speaker 3: Oh, boy. Yeah, I mean, the first thing is, is
- 17:32Speaker 3: know where you want to put it and anchoring it.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Do you have studs behind the drywall where you can
- 17:38Speaker 3: use regular screws, or is it hollow where you need anchors?
- 17:43Speaker 3: That's because you don't want it falling down. So anchoring
- 17:46Speaker 3: it is obviously the most important thing. So you've got
- 17:50Speaker 3: to figure out where you're going to do it. Do
- 17:52Speaker 3: you have studs? Do you have a stud finder? What's
- 17:54Speaker 3: a stud? What's a stud?
- 17:57Speaker 2: You.
- 17:58Speaker 1: I'm a stud.
- 18:01Speaker 3: You sure you don't just want to pay somebody to
- 18:03Speaker 3: do it?
- 18:05Speaker 1: He should. You're right. And he can't do it by himself,
- 18:08Speaker 1: can he?
- 18:08Speaker 3: There's no way. Well, I mean, putting the brackets up,
- 18:13Speaker 3: you can do by yourself. But a lot of it
- 18:15Speaker 3: then depends on how big the TV is of whether
- 18:18Speaker 3: you can lift the TV yourself and put it on
- 18:20Speaker 3: the brackets. But you can put up the brackets by yourself.
- 18:23Speaker 3: And then just have someone help you mount the TV.
- 18:26Speaker 1: What kind of TV?
- 18:27Speaker 3: But, yeah, the whole thing is anchoring. Yes. Are you
- 18:29Speaker 3: anchoring in the studs? Are you anchoring in the drywall?
- 18:33Speaker 3: That's going to be– and obviously measuring. So I have– Taylor,
- 18:37Speaker 3: I have zero faith that you can do this. None whatsoever.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Taylor, were you taking down notes? Yeah, I feel worse
- 18:44Speaker 1: about it now. What size is your TV?
- 18:49Speaker 3: Can you spell stud?
- 18:52Speaker 1: What size is the TV, Taylor?
- 18:54Speaker 5: Oh, it's probably like 60, 65, I guess.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Yeah, you're going to need an extra pair of hands there.
- 19:00Speaker 3: I feel like. Yeah, you'll need an extra pair of
- 19:01Speaker 3: hands to mount it. But like I said, you'll be
- 19:03Speaker 3: able to put the brackets up. Measure twice, cut once.
- 19:07Speaker 3: Measure twice, drill once. So make sure you have the
- 19:10Speaker 3: right measurements before you put anything into the wall.
- 19:13Speaker 1: I'm busy this weekend, Taylor.
- 19:17Speaker 3: And you don't want Stu helping you.
- 19:18Speaker 4: I was going to say, I'd rather just try and
- 19:22Speaker 4: do it myself.
- 19:23Speaker 3: I'm a stud. Hey, Stu. You know what you do?
- 19:29Speaker 3: Hopefully in your room you have a bureau and you
- 19:31Speaker 3: put a stand on the TV and you just put
- 19:33Speaker 3: it on a stand on the bureau and not hang
- 19:35Speaker 3: it into the wall.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Hey, Stu, I need to hang a TV this weekend.
- 19:40Speaker 3: Is Abby around? Yeah.
- 19:42Speaker 2: She'd be far more qualified and better at it. Mike,
- 19:46Speaker 2: thanks for doing this. Check him out. The goal, extended
- 19:48Speaker 2: noon Eastern on ESPN Radio, Notre Dame on Saturday, NFL's
- 19:52Speaker 2: on Sunday.
- 19:52Speaker 1: He wonders why he's tired, but he's tired. We'll talk
- 19:55Speaker 1: to you soon, Mike. Thank you for doing it. All right.
- 19:57Speaker 3: Thanks, guys. All right.
