- 0:30Welcome back to the Revolution of Purpose podcast.
- 0:34This is John Street, your host, and I am so excited to have our
- 0:38part 2 episode with Jason Solomon. If you have
- 0:41not seen part 1, go on and look at our,
- 0:45look at our list of episodes and watch part 1 if you're on YouTube,
- 0:48or go listen to it on Apple, Spotify, or Amazon, wherever you're listening
- 0:52to your podcasts, because you will not want to miss the amazing,
- 0:56uh, the amazing things that Jason, uh, dropped on us. I mean,
- 0:59he is Such a wealth of knowledge. And Jason, it's great to be back
- 1:03with you, sir. Same, man. Appreciate it. I look forward to
- 1:06doing this again, John. Me too. I love that part 2,
- 1:10you're inside where there's air conditioning.
- 1:14I thought, oh my gosh, you were burning up in the first
- 1:18one. And I'm so glad we're filming this in July.
- 1:22For those who may not know, or who may be watching this later,
- 1:24it's July 2026. And this like the US is going
- 1:28through this crazy heat wave, this heat dome. So yeah,
- 1:32I'm glad you're inside with some air conditioner, man. And you
- 1:36know, if you watch this on YouTube instead of just listening to
- 1:40the podcast, you get to see my dog in the background from time to time.
- 1:42He is back there just chilling.
- 1:45He's my mascot. He's really the host of the podcast.
- 1:49He just lets me take the mic from time to time. But so
- 1:54Jason, we'll dive in, man. One of the things that really stood out to me
- 1:57in part 1 when we talked is that you've never seemed
- 2:02interested in fitting in. Like,
- 2:06authenticity usually comes with a price, and you seem
- 2:10willing to have paid that price. So what
- 2:13has becoming yourself cost you over the years?
- 2:18Wow, that's a good question, man. What has becoming myself cost me?
- 2:23It costs a lot. It's a
- 2:27hefty price. I think, um,
- 2:30um, I remember listening to an audio from, from Bob. This is one
- 2:34of his seminars he did 2015. He said
- 2:38there's 2 things that take place when you decide to grow.
- 2:41There's one force called attraction and the other force called
- 2:45retraction. And he said when you decide to grow,
- 2:48you automatically attract a new environment and you automatically
- 2:51retract from the old environment. And so,
- 2:55and it's not, it's not even something intentional. It's not like
- 2:58you sit there and say, I'm not going to talk to these people, associate with
- 3:02these people, be around these people. But when you start to think on a new
- 3:05frequency, everything on that comes to you and everything off of that leaves you.
- 3:09So when I changed my mentality, man, that's what happened.
- 3:13Um, a lot of friendships, a lot of relationships that I had in the past,
- 3:17you know, they may still be around, but they no longer exist
- 3:21in terms of proximity. Um, because again, when you decide to,
- 3:25to grow, if that person doesn't grow with you, then you
- 3:28automatically grow apart. So it cost me a lot, man. It cost me,
- 3:32I would say, a lot of— um, because I started this journey at 18 years
- 3:36old, but even before 18 years old, I was always
- 3:40on some path, right? And I never followed the, the route
- 3:44that most people did. So 14, 15, 16 years
- 3:48old I wasn't doing what my friends were doing. I didn't have the,
- 3:51the luxury of having the proms,
- 3:54the, um, homecomings, you know,
- 3:58all the many girlfriends that they had, right? Because my girlfriend was basketball
- 4:01and selling candy, all right? I was just so focused on that. I didn't have
- 4:05the luxury of having the parties and all that stuff. But John,
- 4:09I remember as a kid— I don't know if I shared this on the podcast—
- 4:12there was a situation where Me and a buddy
- 4:16of mine, he actually used to play in the NFL. He just retired from the
- 4:19NFL. Um, his name was Chris Evans. He was a running back for,
- 4:23for the Cincinnati Bengals. And me and Chris would have— I
- 4:27still have it actually— we have the janitor's key. All right, you got to have
- 4:30a specific key to get into the gym. And we— I
- 4:34don't know how we got it. I think I found mine on the floor,
- 4:36right? When you're in the gym long enough, you find stuff laying around. I found
- 4:40one of the keys on the floor. And it was a key to make the
- 4:43basketball rims go up and go down. We knew how to break into the gym.
- 4:46We knew which door they left unlocked purposely, right? And I remember
- 4:50we were in the 9th grade center. We were in the hallway doing dribbling drills.
- 4:53We were just practicing. And I remember thinking,
- 4:57because we used to say certain things to keep us inspired, because again,
- 5:01as a kid, when you're focused, you miss out on a lot of things
- 5:04that you consider to be fun. But I think a lot of people make the
- 5:08mistake of fun versus happiness, right? When you see someone having fun,
- 5:11you're like, oh man, they're having fun, they're having fun. And we mistake that for
- 5:14fulfillment or for happiness. And we will see our friends,
- 5:18you know, at time— at the time Snapchat was big, right?
- 5:21We would see our friends on Snapchat partying, hanging out,
- 5:25doing fun things, playing video games, and we missed a lot of that.
- 5:29And so one thing I used to always say to myself as a kid to
- 5:33keep me inspired is it's going to be way more fun to party on the
- 5:36jet than party in the basement. It's gonna be way more fun to party on
- 5:40a jet than party in the basement. It's gonna be way more fun to party
- 5:43on a jet than party in the basement. It's gonna be way more fun.
- 5:45And that was our sense of, you know, okay, let's, let's lock in and focus
- 5:49so that we can— if we're going to party, we're going to do it big
- 5:52time, right? So brilliant. I missed out.
- 5:55Yeah, that was our affirmation before I even knew what affirmation was,
- 5:58because again When you're, when you're, um, building something,
- 6:03um, it is not a sexy process, man.
- 6:06Like, no one, no one goes to a construction site and
- 6:10says, wow, look at this dirt. No one's like, oh my God, look at those
- 6:14nails. Wow, look at that, um, 2x4.
- 6:17So incredible. No one goes— when you're in the construction phase,
- 6:21it's dirty, it's dusty, it's muddy. It's, you know,
- 6:24it's not, it's not the place where you want to be. After you leave,
- 6:27you got to shower, you got to rinse the the dust out of your nails,
- 6:31right? And when you're in that construction phase,
- 6:34it almost seems like it's never going to end.
- 6:37So that's a very tough place to be,
- 6:40you know. And even certain phases of now in my life, I still feel I'm
- 6:44in that phase with what I'm creating now, because I think anytime you create something
- 6:48new, you go through construction. So even with my retreats
- 6:51and the experiences that I'm putting together, I'm still in the construction phase,
- 6:55even though I've done events for years. Of course, I understand like the basics,
- 6:58But I'm attempting to do things that I don't know anyone that's
- 7:02done. I'm sure there's people that have done it, but the way that I want
- 7:05to do it, I don't know really anybody that I could call that's doing
- 7:09this, right? So it's a lot of dust. It's a lot
- 7:13of debris. And you got to have a
- 7:17reminder of the vision. And I just remember Earl Nightingale said,
- 7:20it's not so much important that you— it's not that people forget their goals.
- 7:24They just forget to remind themselves of their goals. So,
- 7:28you know, I missed out on a lot, man. I missed out on a lot
- 7:30of things that would be considered fun. I missed out on a lot of relationships,
- 7:33a lot of parties, a lot of youth experiences.
- 7:36Um, I didn't have that in a sense of even wanting those things,
- 7:41which I think saved me in a sense, because a lot
- 7:45of my friends that were in a close proximity, you know, some of them are
- 7:48doing okay, but most of them may not be on the, on the, let's say,
- 7:51the bright side of the law. All right, the right side of the law.
- 7:55Um, And I could have ended up just like them.
- 7:58I could have ended up in Marion County, you know,
- 8:01jail down the street too, right? I could have ended up in situations
- 8:05where I'm just in, in, in a low-frequency life
- 8:09as well. And I'm not saying this everybody, but a lot of people, you know,
- 8:12ended up in that, in that route, um, because they didn't have something
- 8:17they were grasping onto. And I was more afraid to,
- 8:20to lose what I had right, than to risk it
- 8:24in terms of my vision. So I missed out on a lot, man. Even when
- 8:27I turned 18 years old, getting into personal growth, um,
- 8:30again, I missed out on what we consider to be fun, right?
- 8:34But that also put me in even then, man.
- 8:37Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure, man. Um, I think
- 8:41that that drive is something that comes with, with, um,
- 8:45curiosity. I've always been curious. Like, I'm the kid
- 8:49where I remember I was maybe 14 years old. I would get on Google Maps
- 8:53and Street View of Paris, you know, Street View of this. I'm just curious.
- 8:57I want to see. I want to see what's out there, right? Um, and I
- 9:00think that's what comes— that's what, what happens with drive when you're a very curious
- 9:04person. It drives you, right? So yeah, missed out on a lot,
- 9:08but also gained a lot of experiences that, you know,
- 9:11are— some people can't even get anymore, you know, with the people that we've been
- 9:15around. Like, right before we got on, we were talking about Um, the fact that
- 9:18you're now connected with, you know, one of my mentors, Miss Linda Proctor, who changed
- 9:23my freaking life, man. Her and Bob, um, you know,
- 9:26I got the experience to be around them, around him when he was alive,
- 9:30right? So I ditched the parties and now I'm in a seminar. So yeah,
- 9:34at the time it doesn't sound attractive, right? Sitting in a seminar
- 9:39in a suit, you know, taking notes. But dude, I wouldn't change it because
- 9:43A thing I learned from Bob was you want to gather certain experiences
- 9:48because it helps you sell what you're doing better, right?
- 9:51Stories sell. And I have so many stories. And, and the reason
- 9:56why it sells is because you can relate to people. I have so many different
- 9:59experiences, so many different people I've spoken to, so many different cultures I've been around,
- 10:02so many different, um, crazy things I've done where
- 10:07it gives— I'm in a position where I can relate to so many different people.
- 10:10I'm in a position where I gather so many stories,
- 10:14um, and the man or woman that owns the stories rules the world because you
- 10:17can relate to people. So, you know, pros and cons, law of polarity, right?
- 10:20There's opposites to everything. But for me, you know,
- 10:24I wouldn't say I missed out on anything. I think at the
- 10:28time I thought I did, but again, the life I'm able to live today,
- 10:32just— and not even since from what I have, but my
- 10:36ability to think Right, my ability to think,
- 10:39plan. If I want something, I can plan a way to figure
- 10:44out how to get it. That's incredible. That's incredible to me. So yeah, well,
- 10:47and the taller the building, the longer it takes to lay
- 10:51the foundation. And so God,
- 10:54your higher power, the universe, source, whatever you call God,
- 11:00already had you in your teens building a foundation
- 11:04because that's how tall your building was going to be. There was no time
- 11:07for you to put it off to your 20s to your 30s. Like,
- 11:11it had to start then. And so there may have been some things
- 11:14that you didn't do that other people were doing, but that's because their building isn't
- 11:18the same as yours. And you're getting all of these experiences
- 11:22and all of this time. Like, how amazing is that at 18 years old
- 11:26to, to get into personal development work and start getting to mentor
- 11:30with Bob and Linda Proctor, of all people? Like, that is clearly
- 11:35looking backwards. You can connect the dots and see how God's hand was
- 11:38in that, all up in there. Yeah. Yeah, you know what's interesting,
- 11:41man? I— before we move on, I had a chat with a group of
- 11:46ladies from the UK yesterday, and I told her that— I
- 11:49told them the same thing. I said, the taller the building,
- 11:53the deeper and more complicated the foundation has to be.
- 11:57And, you know, I remember this was in 2017,
- 12:012017, 2018. We, we had an
- 12:04event. Linda had an event where Bob spoke at. We were at the Westin Prince
- 12:07downtown Toronto. And I remember him saying this.
- 12:12He said, here in Toronto, in every major city, you'll see a lot
- 12:16of construction. And he said, you'll be driving past the construction site
- 12:20for months on end, right? And you hear the cranes, you hear the
- 12:24trucks, doo doo doo doo doo. You hear them hitting the, you know,
- 12:27digging the concrete, laying the foundation. And he
- 12:32said, for months you'll see that, you'll see that, see that. And then all of
- 12:34a sudden One day you wake up in the morning, you shave, you get in
- 12:37your car, you drive by, and then boom, a big building has popped
- 12:41up. And you're like, wait, how did they put that together so fast, right?
- 12:45And what people don't understand is that the
- 12:49reason why the building seems to grow faster is because it took longer to
- 12:53build the foundation. The foundation is the most complicated, um,
- 12:56strenuous part that you have to build, and it is not the
- 13:00part that no one wants to build. It is because you don't see any fruits
- 13:05of your labor. Yeah, you don't see any of the results that you
- 13:08want. You may see a little trickle, but you don't see any of the results
- 13:12you want to see. But when it comes time to perform, you're very well equipped,
- 13:16you know, you're very well polished. Like, even me hopping on this podcast,
- 13:20man, it's like I just literally got my son to go
- 13:24to sleep, ran in here. I didn't need any preparation because
- 13:27I've done many calls, many conversations, you know. This is
- 13:31just in my subconscious now. Through the amount of repetition that I've had of building
- 13:35the foundation, I could sit on here for 5 hours and do a podcast
- 13:39or hop on a call with 2,000 people and speak
- 13:42to them like it's one person without any preparation because the foundation is
- 13:46laid. So, again, now it's just a matter of exposure,
- 13:50you know, and sharing what's already there. So, yeah.
- 13:54Yeah, that's huge. And, you know, the foundation building, that's not the
- 13:58sexy part. That's not the part that people can see.
- 14:01Like, The only people that can see the vision when you're
- 14:06building a foundation is the architect. It is the builder.
- 14:09You know, it's— you're not going to get everybody around you saying, hey,
- 14:12look how amazing everything looks, when you're building the foundation because
- 14:17they don't see it yet. But you see it and you can't lose hold of
- 14:20that vision. You know, it's so important. And let me ask you, because you
- 14:24said something earlier that I think is really important too, Jason, like not
- 14:28everybody from your circle ended up in
- 14:32the successful life similar to what you're doing. Not that all of
- 14:36them ended up in jail, but not everyone's in that successful life.
- 14:40And I truly believe that part of
- 14:44the reason that we have our purpose, part of the reason we have our life,
- 14:46is to change our community. So what would you say to someone,
- 14:50whether there's somebody who knew you back in the day or if it's just someone
- 14:54who's watching this podcast and they feel stuck, they didn't
- 14:58start early, they are maybe in their 40s or 50s, and,
- 15:01and they haven't done the work. What would you say to them to
- 15:04encourage them that in this moment, they could change their life?
- 15:08Yeah, a quote I heard, if God took away time, how old would you be?
- 15:12Time is, time is man-made. I used to have the man
- 15:16by 30, you know, mentality, right? Like,
- 15:20oh, if I'm not here by 30, or if I'm not there, Um,
- 15:24I think what— if any idea I can
- 15:27give to someone is study, study,
- 15:30study people. Like, study individuals
- 15:34that actually made it happen as men.
- 15:39There's this science— most men don't hit, um,
- 15:43let's say their prime until the age of 45
- 15:46to 50. This is real. Most men do not hit
- 15:50their, their maturity prime and also
- 15:54their business prime until 45 to 50.
- 15:57But society has deemed us that if you're not a millionaire by 25,
- 16:01bro, you're losing. It's not— definitely
- 16:05not true. Um, the first thing I would say is get off
- 16:09Instagram, right? But if you—
- 16:13I mean You know, I had somebody ask me a question the other
- 16:16day. Um, it was 2 people that asked me this question. They say, hey Jason,
- 16:19I'm just curious. They say, you don't follow
- 16:23me on Instagram, right? And there's somebody I was mentoring one-on-one. They said, you don't
- 16:26follow me. Like, I'm not mad, but why don't you follow
- 16:31people back anymore? I said, that's a great question. I'll give
- 16:35you a real honest reason. I said, because I stopped following people.
- 16:39And I started to follow brands. I said,
- 16:42if I follow people, all the only thing that's going to pull up on my
- 16:45algorithm is other people. And a lot of times,
- 16:49so social media— not a lot of times— is a highlight reel.
- 16:52It shows your best day. It's your best shoes, your best hat,
- 16:56your best smile on your best filter. That's all right.
- 17:00So why would I put myself at a disadvantage
- 17:04by constantly looking at other people right, that deemed to
- 17:09be successful where they only show the, the result,
- 17:13right? And that's not even the result of success. We have success all the
- 17:17way messed up. Like a Lambo, uh, a villa,
- 17:20it's not the result of success. Like, I view success as how
- 17:25many lives you're impacting. Like, I heard a guy say,
- 17:28say that, um, success is, is measured
- 17:33by how many people mention you in their success story,
- 17:37right? Success is measured by how many people mention you in
- 17:41their success story. You're not going to find an audio where I don't mention Bob
- 17:45Belinda, right? So for me,
- 17:48that's my focus now is like, okay, how many people are actually going to
- 17:52say, oh, you know, oh, by the way, you know, when they're on stage,
- 17:55by the way, there's this crazy kid named Jason, you know, who kind of shared
- 17:59a little something with me, or I heard this quote from him. That's kind of
- 18:02where I'm at now, you know. And I realized there's polarity to
- 18:05everything. You talk about the foundation. Well, we don't
- 18:10get everything that we want right now. There's a quote that says you can have
- 18:12everything you want, but you just can't have it at once. So a lot of
- 18:15things are on their way. So for anyone that's in that, that's looking
- 18:18to start now, whether you're 20, 30, 40 years old,
- 18:2250 years old, it doesn't even matter. I would say number one,
- 18:25quit comparing the wrong way. They say comparison
- 18:29is the thief of all joy. Sure, but I think the wrong comparison
- 18:32is— I think if you compare yourself the right way, it can be very inspirational.
- 18:37Meaning, um, you know, I look at certain
- 18:41people like, um, uh, I don't know, Bob's just
- 18:46one of the examples I can use. If you watch his story,
- 18:50I think in the audio Linda shared this— well, Linda and his assistant
- 18:54Gina shared her story Um, when Bob
- 18:58had to come back to Toronto from Chicago to watch his kids,
- 19:02I think he was maybe 48 to 53, that age range.
- 19:08And Gina was his assistant, and, um, he had
- 19:12like a little brick and mortar, you know, on a strip mall, I think
- 19:16some like little brick and mortar office.
- 19:18And Gina ran into the office to get him. She said,
- 19:22Bob, come here, you got to see something. And he had people,
- 19:25he had his team in there, his clients in there, and Gina
- 19:30showed him outside the window that they were repossessing his car
- 19:35at 50 years old. Bob freaking Proctor. When you
- 19:39get your car repossessed, that means you haven't paid the car note. And when
- 19:42you haven't paid the car note, it's probably because you can't pay the car note,
- 19:45right? Not because you don't want to. No one just says, I don't want to
- 19:49pay it. No, it's like probably because you can't afford it. So imagine
- 19:54that statue, right? And you
- 19:58know, I know nobody wants to wait that long. I'm not saying wait that long
- 20:01to get your life in order, but there's just certain things that take
- 20:05place in your story that happen, right? It's situations,
- 20:09it's life. But what if he would have let that stop him at 50?
- 20:12He would have never got The Secret at 70, right?
- 20:15Hey, I would have never met him. I met him at 80, right? So there's
- 20:19just some things that happen in life that just a part of your story,
- 20:23man. And it'd be a boring story if there weren't valleys to the mountains.
- 20:27So I think anybody that's watching this, get off of social media,
- 20:31um, start to study people's stories that have been through something similar to
- 20:35you're going through. Maybe start to— maybe don't study any 25-year-old millionaires.
- 20:40Maybe you should only focus on people that, like Myron Golden, who made
- 20:43his first million at 40 years old, or 45 years old, right? Maybe study
- 20:48those people if they can relate a little bit better to your story.
- 20:51So, it gives you hope, right? More than
- 20:55like, wow, I'm behind. That is so important. I just shared yesterday,
- 21:00it was a joke that somebody shared. They're like, I'm 13 years old, I'm already
- 21:04a millionaire, and blah, blah, blah. But there is this whole culture
- 21:08that if you're not a millionaire by 25, if you're not ripped
- 21:12and shirtless and in the Lambo by 25, that you failed.
- 21:16And I know, I'm telling you, man. And I
- 21:20mean, and I think it's great to be healthy. And, you know, part of my
- 21:22story is I've lost over 100 pounds, but I'm still not where I want to
- 21:26be every day with health or whatever. But in all things,
- 21:29we continue to grow, and we're not all the same people.
- 21:32We didn't all start from the same place either.
- 21:35Like You know, there are people who deal with addictions in life
- 21:40and they've lost 20 years to addiction. And just getting out of
- 21:43addiction was a huge thing. But now, they're starting from the same place we were
- 21:47at 20 years old and now, they're 40. You know? So, I mean,
- 21:51like you said, comparison is the thief of joy unless if you're comparing
- 21:55the wrong way. I love that you could almost say comparison
- 21:58is the thief of joy, but inspiration is,
- 22:03is like a joy giver or something. If you look at someone and you get
- 22:07inspired, that's one thing, but we can't compare our journeys to them.
- 22:11I do remember, I think that that story you told about Gina
- 22:15is in the movie Bob Proctor— yeah, Legacy— because
- 22:19I remember him saying— she said that he said, I never liked that car anyway.
- 22:23Yeah, he said, that's interesting, right?
- 22:26That was his response to anything challenging. He was like, that's interesting.
- 22:30He never let it get to him. I love that. Have you ever in
- 22:33your life gone through periods that were really
- 22:38difficult? Have you gone through periods, whether it was financially or
- 22:41something else? And I know in mindset work, we talk about the positive
- 22:45and we talk about, but I do think it's so important to acknowledge that even
- 22:50Bob Proctor had a car repossessed. Even Jason
- 22:54Solomon had a rough time. John Streit went through a rough time. Like, it's important
- 22:57for people who watch these things to know that we're all human. And that
- 23:01we grow sometimes through these really tough times. So yeah, did you ever have
- 23:06a period that was really tough for you and what did you learn from it?
- 23:09Dude, my whole life. I don't think it goes away.
- 23:14Like Jim Rohn said, what was his famous quote?
- 23:18Is that, don't wish it was easier, wish you were better.
- 23:22I don't think it goes away, man. I don't think the tough times leave you.
- 23:25I think you just learn how to deal with them better. You know,
- 23:28and you learn how to overcome them better. I've had a tough time my whole
- 23:32journey, man. Um, financially was challenging all
- 23:37the time. Like, now I'm in a position where earning money is so
- 23:40easy for me, but the challenge is the
- 23:44keeping it, right? Because what I'm starting to learn is the
- 23:48more money you make, the more people want it.
- 23:51And then it's like, I used to have I told
- 23:55someone the other day, I said, I used to have $100 problems. Now I got
- 23:57$1,000 problems. Now every problem used to be $100. Now every problem's
- 24:01$1,000. And I was thinking this the other day. I'm like, what the—
- 24:06why? Why is every bill $1,000? Why is every time someone
- 24:10texts me, it's $500 or $1,000? Or this situation,
- 24:14it's $7,000 or $8,000 to $10,000. I'm like, why? And then I stopped. I said,
- 24:18Jason, chill out. These problems you have today, You would
- 24:23have killed to have these problems when you were 18 years old,
- 24:28when $200 was a great week.
- 24:32I remember when I first started my direct sales business, my first year I made
- 24:35$6,000— or no, my first year I made $3,000.
- 24:38Second year I made $6,000. Third year I made $30,000.
- 24:43Fourth year made $70,000, I think. I don't know. And then probably up and down
- 24:47from there. But most people are like, wow, in 4 years,
- 24:51you know, you were 21 years old, 22 years old. But dude,
- 24:55those first 3 years, oh my God. Right.
- 24:59And financially disclaimer, since this is being recorded, I'll pull up the
- 25:03taxes if you want to see them. But it was embarrassing. I remember I went
- 25:07to my tax guy when I went from the year from $6,000 to $30,000.
- 25:11He said, oh my God, man, you made a huge jump.
- 25:13Right.
- 25:16Because that was a pretty good jump. Right?
- 25:20From $6,000 to $30,000, it was a pretty good jump. But what I
- 25:24did not understand, I used to beat myself up because of that,
- 25:27right? And, but I did not understand that's how most, most businesses,
- 25:32first off, most businesses start with debt. They start with
- 25:35a loan. They start in the, in the negative, right? And to make
- 25:39profit from a business, even if it's
- 25:43$3,000, if someone takes out a $200,000
- 25:47loan, they seldomly make $200 grand that year to pay it back.
- 25:52They may make $70 grand, $30 grand,
- 25:56$50 grand, $100 grand, and they're in the hole for
- 26:003 or 4 or 5 years before they can ever even pay back
- 26:03a loan. And so me going through my challenges the first 4 years
- 26:07of earning the money, I thought I was the only one.
- 26:12Not until I realized that Jay, he's not the only one.
- 26:15You're just, you're just new. And I don't think we give ourselves
- 26:19enough grace for being new and bad at something. Like,
- 26:22there's nothing wrong with being bad at something that you're doing for the first time,
- 26:27right? There's nothing wrong with, with that. The problem is staying bad,
- 26:31right? And even when I was progressing,
- 26:35I still thought I was behind because of my environment.

- 28:44episode. So, Jason, you have built businesses,
- 28:48you've traveled the world, you have impacted thousands of people.
- 28:52And I know you still have a long way to go. I know that you're
- 28:55nowhere near your goal card, you know, but you are impacting a lot of people.
- 28:59And I'm thankful for that. I'm one of the people that you impact.
- 29:02But has success felt the way that you imagined that it would?
- 29:06That's a fast no. Absolutely not.
- 29:10Um, no, man, at all.
- 29:14And I wouldn't even say— well, I would say if we're going off the definition
- 29:19of success that I live by, then I would say that I'm
- 29:23on a track of success for sure. My definition—
- 29:27I have 2 definitions of success. Number 1, the progress.
- 29:31Progressive realization of something that's worthy of
- 29:35you, right? The worthy ideal. The Earl Nightingale quote.
- 29:38I will say, because I'm always progressing to— I
- 29:43think this is very worthy because I'm always progressing to this— I'm
- 29:47successful. And then I heard a quote that says, you don't measure your success by
- 29:51how much money you make, you measure success by how many lives you touch.
- 29:54In those 2 regards, I truly feel that I am on
- 29:58it, on the right track of success. Um,
- 30:01I, I think— nah, man, success doesn't
- 30:06feel that way. Because again, for me, I thought when you start making
- 30:09more money, confetti pops off,
- 30:13fireworks explode.
- 30:16But my, my perception changed
- 30:21Because again, I think when you start to build more, you create—
- 30:25actually, you create more problems. Most people don't
- 30:29talk about that. When you start to grow, you actually
- 30:33start to manifest more problems, more challenges, more obstacles,
- 30:38right? Because your mind starts to expand, so the things
- 30:42that you want to do are much bigger and they come at a greater cost.
- 30:46So I find I'm always creating problems for myself, which I think
- 30:50is, you know, it's good. I'm entrepreneur and that's problem solving. Do I always
- 30:54enjoy the problems I create for myself? Absolutely not. Like, John, I'll give
- 30:58you an example of a problem. Uh, I just got an idea 2
- 31:01days ago. Intuition said I want to have a retreat in Bali in
- 31:05Indonesia, and I want to call it the SM
- 31:09Creators Mastermind, where we have a beautiful villa 15
- 31:14entrepreneurs and creators come together for 6 days, 6 to 7 days,
- 31:18do it in Indonesia, Bali. Like, yeah,
- 31:21let's freaking do that, right? And then I start to look up stuff.
- 31:25I'm like, ooh, I got to get a permit, Balinese permit.
- 31:28That flight is 25 hours long. Okay.
- 31:32And I'm like, Jesus. Okay.
- 31:35You know, and I'm running a business, so I got to think how the profit
- 31:37margin is going to work. How much is this? How much is this? Like,
- 31:40I gotta fly this out, do this out. I gotta find merchandise. How am I
- 31:43gonna fit this on the plane? And even worse, because you can't run to McDonald's
- 31:47at Bali. You can't run to McDonald's. You got to go to the local shops.
- 31:51Now don't get me wrong, I always plan retreats in areas that are tourist
- 31:54friendly, so there's not really big challenges when it comes to me
- 31:59going to like a third world country. But I'm like, why am I even thinking
- 32:03like Bali? What?
- 32:07That is a way bigger problem than Miami. It's like, why can't you just do
- 32:10Miami? Miami, right? That's what I'm thinking.
- 32:14And I'm like, why can't you just freaking go to Miami?
- 32:17And so it's like just problems, man, and I'm just manufacturing
- 32:21more problems. But again, I think that, um,
- 32:25if you just want to do something that's never been done, man, you have to
- 32:28do something that you've never done. You have to go places that people
- 32:32rarely have trekked. I don't know anyone that says, yeah, bro, I just got back
- 32:36from Bali, right? I mean, I know some people now,
- 32:39but growing up, nah, man, I never— I don't see
- 32:43those people, right? Those people aren't people you just run into every day.
- 32:46So I'm always creating problems for myself.
- 32:51Um, I would not say that's a wise business move. I would not say it,
- 32:55but I will say it makes for a hell of a life because
- 33:00I'm always thinking, creating, you know, generating ideas.
- 33:04But again, I don't know, John, my life
- 33:08is just so many different ups and downs that I have to
- 33:12penetrate through. I was telling Haley the other day, my spouse, and I was like,
- 33:17listen, my position is very unique because I
- 33:20ended up becoming the one for everyone. I said,
- 33:24I'm the person that people contact with everything,
- 33:29right? I'm— I said, when you become— when you decide to become
- 33:32a leader and a mentor, I said, you also opt
- 33:37in to become 2 extra things. You become a trash can and you become
- 33:41a firefighter, because people dump all their
- 33:44trash on you, and every day you got to put out people's fires.
- 33:48Now there's the flip side of it, which is the influence,
- 33:51the fame that you can say that comes with it, the recognition.
- 33:55The sense of power that you have from being an influential person.
- 33:59But that's the law of polarity. So when you sign up for this game of
- 34:03leadership, don't just say, oh, don't just see the person in front of the room
- 34:07and just admire that. You need to understand that that
- 34:11person that's in front of the room is the person— I shared this with someone
- 34:15in group the other day. I said, if you ever want to get on stage,
- 34:16I'm going to teach you how to get on stage. The person on stage,
- 34:19it's the person that chose to do what everyone else could have done, but what
- 34:22everyone else chose not to do. Because in order
- 34:27to get on that stage, you got to go through a bunch of trash.
- 34:29You got to put out a lot of fires. A bunch
- 34:33of trash and a lot of fires. And every day, John, I'm putting out
- 34:37fires and I'm, and I'm getting trash poured right
- 34:41on me. And it's just about being able to continuously maneuver through all those
- 34:45challenges, obstacles, um, you know,
- 34:48things that are perceived as barriers But again, when you
- 34:52know how the mind— the only thing that keeps me going, honest to God true,
- 34:56the only thing that keeps me going is because I'm learning better
- 35:00and better how the mind works. That's it.
- 35:04Yeah, I'm really understanding the philosophy that Hill— that Carnegie
- 35:08told Hill. Any ideal that is held in the mind,
- 35:11that's emphasized, that's either feared or revered, will begin
- 35:16at once to clothe itself in the most convenient an appropriate form available.
- 35:19Any idea that's held in the mind, any idea that's held in the mind,
- 35:23any idea. And the only thing that keeps me going is just me holding my
- 35:26ideas in the mind. There's so much stuff that hits the fan on
- 35:29the exterior, even in my life, right? Even in my situation
- 35:33of what I, what I deal with every single day. I don't live a lavish
- 35:36lifestyle that most people may think. Like I told someone the other day, most of
- 35:39my life consists of me just laying on my bed responding to messages,
- 35:43responding to emails, taking phone calls. I don't go shopping all the
- 35:46time. I, I invest more money back into— like,
- 35:50I look at my, my retreats that I do
- 35:54like real estate or like the stock market. I invest
- 35:59back into my business like it's real estate, like it's stocks.
- 36:03And if you, if you buy a real estate property to,
- 36:07and to rent out, then I remember there was a gentleman, he was
- 36:10the number one realtor, you know this being in real estate, in Utah.
- 36:13He said a good real estate property, for every $100,000
- 36:17that it costs, it pumps out $100 per month passive. He said that's a
- 36:21good deal. So if you got a half a million dollar property, if you're making
- 36:25$500 a month off of that property, and you're thinking like half a million and
- 36:28you're only making $500 a month, so just think about how many properties
- 36:32you need to own to positively cash flow $10,000
- 36:36a month. Like, it's an
- 36:40incredible feat, a number that most people that get in real estate are like,
- 36:43I'm just gonna own one home and make a million. Dude, no,
- 36:46because you got to feed the beast. You open up a whole can of worms.
- 36:50Same thing with the stock market. Like, it takes years for that,
- 36:53for that reciprocation to hit. And if you're
- 36:58wanting to bet on SpaceX shooting up, well, polarity— if it's a very
- 37:02volatile jump, you're going to have a very volatile dip.
- 37:04Exactly. So, and buy the dip. That is financial
- 37:09advice, but I'm just saying, no, no advice was given on this call.
- 37:12No advice is given on this call, but if it were me, I'd be buying
- 37:15the dip. Buying the dip. So I look at that with everything I do,
- 37:19man. Like, I've sacrificed a lot. I don't even have— matter of fact, I just
- 37:22moved into this new place maybe back in March. I don't even have a
- 37:26bookshelf, John, too, by the way. Thank you, man. He's finally asleep.
- 37:30Um, I don't even have a bookshelf, John. I've like— I remember my buddy
- 37:33came in, came in my house the other day. My buddy, he runs a,
- 37:36um, he runs a few cleaning companies, multi-millionaire, you know, good friend of
- 37:40mine. He came in my house the other day, he said, bro, you only have
- 37:42a bookshelf. I said, yeah, man. I said, listen, all my books are on the
- 37:45floor lined up because I'm always working. I'm like, I didn't even
- 37:49have time to go think about a bookshelf
- 37:52or designing my office. I literally just put everything where it's functional so that
- 37:56I can take a call, take a meeting, move from here, move from there.
- 37:59Like, I haven't bought new clothes since I left France. I'm just,
- 38:03I'm so locked in on, on investing into these experiences,
- 38:07creating these experiences. And and putting
- 38:11the, the resources back into the people. You know, I have 2 goal
- 38:15cards right here, John, and I keep these goal cards on my desk.
- 38:18All right, and this is what— these are like my next steps,
- 38:22bites out of the big vision, right? All these, these goal cards
- 38:25that I have are bites out of the vision. And with what I'm creating,
- 38:28this was actually one of the first ones that says, I'm so happy and grateful
- 38:31now that SM Retreats are operating 3 times a year in luxury places around
- 38:35the world, producing millions and impacting lives in every continent in the world. That's the
- 38:40first goal card. Second one says, I'm slapping grateful now that SM Retreats
- 38:44are being recognized and awarded on a global scale for positive impact
- 38:48and are extremely high demand. Each retreat sells out the day it's launched. So outside
- 38:53of this, I don't know what else I'm doing, right?
- 38:56So for me, success looks like the,
- 39:00the desk that has a bunch of ideas on it, right? I look— I remember
- 39:03the photo of the old Amazon photo of Jeff Bezos in 1990
- 39:08sitting at his desk where he's got like the little, the little poster of
- 39:11Amazon in the back, but he's got books and notes and
- 39:14things on the, on the table, different ideas, 2 laptops here.
- 39:19I'm like, that is entrepreneurship.
- 39:23It is not in France in the million-dollar villa,
- 39:28you know, talking in front of people. That's not it. That's only like
- 39:32one week out of the next 6 months?
- 39:35What do the 6 months look like up into that? And that's why I always
- 39:39tell people, like, you need to understand what entrepreneurship
- 39:43really is. It is not this game of always,
- 39:48like you said, shirt off driving in the Lambo. Matter of fact,
- 39:51when you can even afford a Lambo, you don't want the Lambo.
- 39:54Exactly. You're like, that money could be making me
- 39:58more money. That money could be making— matter of fact, I could use that money
- 40:01for for this, or I'm only going to get the Lambo as a marketing tool
- 40:03for a tax write-off. So it's like it shifts
- 40:07the game on why you even get those things or why you even want those,
- 40:11those, those materialistic things. And I, and I don't, and I don't like to separate
- 40:15material from invisible because material is just a form of the invisible,
- 40:18right? But it shifts why you even want
- 40:22those things. It shifts your perception on those things. It changes
- 40:26like like the dynamic of what you're doing,
- 40:29because sometimes those things interfere with your vision.
- 40:33Like, I, I invest way more money into my business.
- 40:37Like, someone's like, dude, how come you haven't bought a new car? I said,
- 40:40I have, I just invested it into my business.
- 40:44I could have got a Mercedes, I could have got, you know, drove around in
- 40:47a nice car and looked just like everybody else in my neighborhood. But I promise
- 40:51you, no one else in my neighborhood is saying I'm about to go to Bali.
- 40:53I'm about to do this event. I just got back from France. I got friends
- 40:57in 50 different countries. I promise you, no one in this neighborhood
- 41:01can say that other than me. And matter of fact, my buddy who has the
- 41:04multi-million dollar company, right? Very successful dude. He's 35, 36 years
- 41:08old. I said, hey man, I'm doing an event in Vegas. You should come out
- 41:12here. I said, matter of fact, I'm actually planning on doing something overseas.
- 41:15I said, hey, you ever been out the country?
- 41:18No. You got a passport? No.
- 41:23No. What is the purpose of
- 41:26the, of the business if you're
- 41:29not going to get experiences? What's the purpose of
- 41:33all that money? What's the purpose of the nice house just to
- 41:37be here?
- 41:40Um, respect due to anyone that's developing and building what they're building,
- 41:44but To me,
- 41:47life is about experiences. Life is about— matter
- 41:51of fact, John, Bob told us to do this. I'm going to do this for
- 41:53sure. I want to find a dartboard,
- 41:56okay? He said you should get like a flat map of the world,
- 42:00you know, like a flat map that shows the entire scape of the world.
- 42:04And I want to find like a, like a flat map that has like,
- 42:07um, it's like a dartboard. And he said this I've
- 42:12yet to do it. I kind of do it, which is why I picked Bali,
- 42:15but I kind of do it already on Google Maps. But he said
- 42:19you should get, you should get some darts. He said you should
- 42:23be in the place in your life where you could play this game. He said
- 42:26you and 3 friends should have like 5 darts each,
- 42:30and then wherever you throw the dart and it hits boom
- 42:34on that dartboard, he said you should go there.
- 42:38He said, that's how you should live your life. He said, that's the freedom
- 42:41and the flexibility and the experiences that you should have.
- 42:45So for me, John, that's what I'm all about, man, is building those experiences,
- 42:49developing, um, international connections
- 42:53and relations. Because again, to me, once you— when
- 42:57you're 90 years old, or, you know, God forbid,
- 43:00100 years old now because we have so much technology, when you're 100 And
- 43:04you're on your last leg, the last thing I want to do is think about,
- 43:07yeah, man, my neighborhood was great.
- 43:11I know, my golf cart community was great. Mm-hmm.
- 43:15You know, that grocery store I used to go to every day was great.
- 43:20What? John, I have family members that have never left the city limits of Indianapolis.
- 43:25I'll be damned if that's me. Yeah.
- 43:30I want to be like, man, you remember that time when we went on safari
- 43:32in Africa and there were lions and we had to jump out the car to
- 43:35go pee and then hop back in? I want— remember
- 43:40that lion almost got us? I want— I want those stories,
- 43:44right? Solomon adventure if I've ever heard one right there. That is one.
- 43:48Listen, I remember I told someone, my buddy Austin,
- 43:51because he came to all my different retreats, I said, you know what's crazy,
- 43:54man? Every single retreat we had a big problem. I remember one
- 43:58of our retreats in Utah, one of the— we had the UTVs I was driving,
- 44:01one of them flipped, right? And we flipped the UTV,
- 44:05which is like the big ATVs, right? And we're like, we're sitting down that night,
- 44:09I got a bruise on my leg from it. I'm like, gosh, that was crazy,
- 44:12right? Remember when we just flipped that ATV and so-and-so got scared?
- 44:16Good thing we had insurance, right? But,
- 44:19but again, just experiences, man. Like, that's That's Jason
- 44:23at 100 years old. I'm gonna be like, man, you remember when we did this?
- 44:26Remember when we did that? Like, remember when we lost all of this and we
- 44:29got it back? That to me is life, man. That's how it
- 44:33should end. And that life teaches, that life
- 44:37grows. You know, every one of those experiences is
- 44:41another brick in that building that, that is creating Jason Solomon,
- 44:44that's creating these self-mastery retreats that are reaching
- 44:48people around the world. And that's— I love your, your zest
- 44:52for life, and I love, uh, all of that. I'm the same way. I'm like,
- 44:55I wrecked the snowmobile in, uh, in Park
- 44:59City once, and I survived it, and it's the best story I have at a
- 45:03party. I'm so glad I did it. The greatest stories at parties, man. That's what
- 45:07we aim for, right? It's the best story. So Jason, I'm gonna,
- 45:10I'm gonna wrap this up. You've been so generous with your time. I'm so glad
- 45:13that we've gotten to do a second, uh, interview together. But I want to,
- 45:17I want to leave you with this final question.
- 45:20What is one thing about purpose that you believe
- 45:24most people are missing? One thing about purpose I
- 45:28believe most people are missing— they're missing themselves in
- 45:31their purpose. I think it's, it's a popular thing to talk about
- 45:35helping people, but if you don't help yourself,
- 45:39you're missing the point. So for me,
- 45:42Um, my purpose, and I learned this from
- 45:46Bob, right? He says your purpose should always start
- 45:50with you but then expand to the world. So he
- 45:54was always saying his purpose is to live and work in a prosperous environment
- 45:58that encourages productivity and pleasure, where I can, you know,
- 46:02improve the service I render to myself, my country,
- 46:06my city, my state, and ultimately the world. That was his And
- 46:10I kind of modeled my purpose after that. My purpose is very simple,
- 46:13is to first show myself a lifestyle I never thought was possible,
- 46:17number one, and then, you know, dot comma,
- 46:22give those same experiences back to others.
- 46:25So that's my purpose, to first show myself a lifestyle I never
- 46:29thought was possible, and then second, to be able to create those same experiences and
- 46:33give those back to others. And I got— and I figured that purpose out during
- 46:36COVID actually, before I started doing retreats.
- 46:41So when people see me doing these experiences, the reason why I can't stop
- 46:45thinking and planning— and that's why I'm like, why Bali?
- 46:49Why not Miami? Why can't my brain just shut off?
- 46:52Because that is my purpose. To first show myself a
- 46:56lifestyle I never thought was possible. And then second,
- 46:59to be able to give those same experiences back to others.
- 47:03And I think most people don't include themselves in their purpose,
- 47:07right? It's like the quote I hear people say, oh, I want to help people,
- 47:10I want to help people, I want to help people. Well, empty cups
- 47:13can't pour into others. Fill your cup and
- 47:18so you have enough to pour into other people. And don't
- 47:22pick the cliché thing. I don't know anybody that
- 47:25has— that says that has the same purpose as me. I don't.
- 47:29And when I heard Bob's purpose, I didn't hear anybody that had the same purpose
- 47:32as him, right? And I think also, here's the last thing:
- 47:36if your purpose does not extend beyond your family, I don't think it's a real
- 47:39purpose. I, I remember doing so many meetings, man,
- 47:44where people share their testimonial. I'm doing it for my family. I'm doing it for
- 47:47my family. I'm doing it for my family. And I get that,
- 47:51but that's a very shallow purpose. Only for your family?
- 47:56And you gotta think, anyone that's inspired us,
- 48:00they just do it for their family. Their family was obviously
- 48:04a direct beneficiary. But imagine if
- 48:08Muhammad Ali said, you know, I'm just gonna do it for my family.
- 48:12If anybody of great magnitude that we look
- 48:16up to that has shaped our world— Jeff Bezos— I'm just going
- 48:19to do Amazon for my family.
- 48:23No, get beyond your family. Your family is automatically
- 48:27going to be a direct recipient of what you do anyways, so why don't you
- 48:30have something that extends beyond them? Something that is,
- 48:34that is going to leave a mark, leave your chapter where people
- 48:38will start. And again, I think beyond, beyond the physical,
- 48:42right? I want people to be telling stories about my experiences, right? To tell
- 48:46stories about the things that we did or the impacts we touched.
- 48:49Like how we talk about Bob— Bob been dead for 4 years, 5 years,
- 48:53but his— the stories are going to live on,
- 48:57live on, live on. The impact is going to live on. And his
- 49:00family was a direct beneficiary of his purpose,
- 49:05but they were not the only part of the purpose.
- 49:08So I think there's 2 things: most people exclude themselves, and most
- 49:13people end with family. And if you don't mention
- 49:16yourself, right? Because you are the drive of the purpose, then you
- 49:20won't have the fuel, the desire that I truly believe you'll have if
- 49:24you're only just focused on other people. Sometimes you got to do
- 49:28something for yourself a little bit. And then also it has to stretch beyond that
- 49:32immediate environment. Because when you do that, that's when,
- 49:37like, I could never be the rich guy that nobody knows.
- 49:41I can never be the guy that has the Lamborghini that
- 49:45only drives it on Sundays, parks it in the garage to hide it from everybody
- 49:48else. I'm the dude that's going to go to the worst, worst neighborhood in Indianapolis
- 49:52in the nicest car and tell all the kids, yeah, hop in, man, get your
- 49:55photos. You know, I'm that rich.
- 49:59I'm gonna go to the worst neighborhood in the nicest car and let people sit
- 50:03in it, right? I know you want to rob me, but not right now,
- 50:07right? Just sit in the car, right? I have security. I'm not stupid, but I'm
- 50:10that person. Nah, dude, let's go. Let's impact. Go with
- 50:14me. You are an impactful person.
- 50:18And that, I think, if I had to describe you in one word, it would
- 50:21be impactful. Everything that you do is impacting,
- 50:25like you said, not just your family, but the literal
- 50:29world, Jason. I mean, you are, you are flowing in
- 50:32an impactful life. And I think that's an amazing,
- 50:36amazing purpose. And I'll end it off with this quote. I heard this quote
- 50:40from a very wise guy. He was actually an artist. His name was Nipsey Hussle.
- 50:45He said, the highest human act is to inspire. There it is.
- 50:48Huge. That's amazing. Jason, if people want
- 50:52to connect with you or follow you, social media, website,
- 50:55what's, uh, what are your handles? I'll also put this in the show notes too
- 50:59if you're listening to this. Yeah, uh, people can actually on WhatsApp,
- 51:03they can message me. My contact,
- 51:06+1-317-432-9454 or
- 51:11@_JasonS34, um, and they
- 51:15can connect with me there. Um, I have, you know, I just created
- 51:19a YouTube channel for the retreats, kind of show some videos there at
- 51:24Self Mastery Retreats. You can look it up on YouTube,
- 51:27see some of the videos that we have from previous experiences. And,
- 51:31um, and yeah, just reach out, connect. I'm a real human,
- 51:35not a robot. You're not AI
- 51:39generated? What? No, no, not AI generated, man. I use it, I just
- 51:42not used by it, right? Um, but yeah, I'm always
- 51:46open to connect, and people that really want to grow, really want to
- 51:50change, um, really want to get better, you know,
- 51:53I'm always there to do it. And I'm the person where if I say it,
- 51:56I'm going to do it. So that's another thing about me is that I don't
- 52:00say anything that I don't plan on doing. So I'll see you guys in Bali.
- 52:03That is huge. Absolutely, you'll see me in Bali too. Yeah,
- 52:07you're coming? I missed— oh, I'll be there. I missed France because I broke my
- 52:11tailbone, but I'll be in Las Vegas and I'll be in Bali, dude. I'll let
- 52:14you know. I'm generating some stuff, John. I'm, I'm making some phone calls.
- 52:18You know what's crazy, dude? I have to share this, man. I'm so sorry.
- 52:21How manifestation really works. So I remember I told you in 2020
- 52:25I watched every travel show you can think of,
- 52:29YouTube, every vlog, everything you think of, man.
- 52:32And there was a few guys on YouTube that had vlogs that I'd watched,
- 52:36and I admired their, their vlogs. They're on the camera, they're,
- 52:39you know, right next to a lion in the Serengeti, you know, or jumping off
- 52:43a waterfall in Mauritius or something, you know, just in, in incredible places.
- 52:48And Again, when an idea comes,
- 52:53don't question. Like Earl Nightingale said, ideas are like slippery fish.
- 52:56If you don't gaff them with a point of a pencil, they will go away.
- 53:00When an idea comes that you have no idea
- 53:04where it came from, you have no point of reference
- 53:08of who put this in you, it's from a higher source.
- 53:12Please trust it. Please take it. 2 days
- 53:15ago, John, all of a sudden, um,
- 53:19I was watching a show. There's a guy named Christian LeBlanc.
- 53:23He, you know, million-plus followers on all his platforms.
- 53:26He's a millionaire guy from his content creation, from his travel shows,
- 53:30etc. And I was watching his show where he was doing like
- 53:34a bike— he did a 42-day motorcycle ride around
- 53:38Africa. Crazy, right? And I was watching his shows,
- 53:41watching his episodes. His, his channel is called Lost LeBlanc,
- 53:45so it's, it's L-E-B-L-A-N-C
- 53:49because it's like a French name. Lost LeBlanc, that's his YouTube channel.
- 53:53And I was watching the show around Africa, right, watching the show,
- 53:57and then one of his little clips popped up. And then I
- 54:01said, um, I would love to meet that guy, I'd love to collaborate
- 54:05with him, right? Love to meet that guy. And, you know, with successful
- 54:09people, you know, they— everybody wants to meet them, you know. Everybody wants
- 54:13to connect with people, you know. And, and I've got a taste of that too,
- 54:16where if you have an event, everyone wants to talk to you. So I understand,
- 54:19right? But I say, I want to meet him. I want to find a way
- 54:23to collaborate with him. And the idea said
- 54:26have a retreat in Bali.
- 54:29Christian, the guy who runs that show, actually has a villa in Bali.
- 54:33That registered the number 1 villa in all of Bali.
- 54:37It's called Lost Creator's Villa, right?
- 54:41And so I found it on Airbnb and I reached out
- 54:45to him and me and him were messaging about the villa and I told him
- 54:49about my retreats. I said, listen, man, I'm gonna have a retreat in Bali.
- 54:51I wanna use your property because I wanna connect with you, da da da da
- 54:55da, blah blah blah blah blah, et cetera. And then the name hit me because
- 54:59I was gonna do another SM $100K retreat. But I was
- 55:02like, no, Bali is where creators get together.
- 55:07Bali is where, um, people that have crazy
- 55:10ideas come to get away from the world to talk
- 55:14about those ideas. So I said, you know what, I'm going to call this retreat
- 55:18the SM Creators Mastermind. And all the ideas
- 55:22came just from that one idea happening in Bali. Then I started to
- 55:26make new connections. I've actually Just connected with 2 people today that live in Bali
- 55:31unintentionally, right? The universe is just lining this stuff
- 55:34up. I'm looking at all these different venues, and I have the craziest
- 55:38plan for this retreat in Bali. It's going to be the greatest thing I've ever
- 55:42done. I just got to get the Balinese permit. That's not too hard to do.
- 55:45You just got to call the government, right? And, you know, it's a fee.
- 55:48You just got to pay the fee to have an event there. But then again,
- 55:52all these ideas— like, I'm telling you, when you get a vision Do not freaking
- 55:55question it. When you have a vision— actually, I told someone this yesterday.
- 55:59I said, if you ever go to a movie, there's this movie
- 56:02The Odyssey that's coming out, right? The little Greek movie. It's pretty crazy.
- 56:06It's pretty cool how it has it. I said, but when I saw that commercial
- 56:10of The Odyssey, that means the movie was already finished.
- 56:14All right, whenever you see a preview, because the
- 56:18preview is what they've done the full movie and and they've taken
- 56:21the most exciting clips out of that movie to show you,
- 56:25to entice you to come to the movie. So by the time you see the
- 56:29preview, the movie's already finished. I told someone yesterday,
- 56:33I said, if you have a preview in your mind,
- 56:36God gives you a preview, that means the movie's already
- 56:40finished. You just got to work backwards to
- 56:44put that piece together of those previews to put
- 56:48the pieces of the full movie together. It's already
- 56:51done. If you have a preview, an outline, like in the
- 56:55book, um, one of my favorite books— where's it at? I have it on the
- 56:59floor— Power of Your Subconscious Mind.
- 57:03Uh, you all should get this book. You see, it's one
- 57:07of my favorite books that I read a long time ago.
- 57:11All right. This book right here by Joseph Murphy, Power of
- 57:15Your Subconscious Mind. All right, in this book it talks
- 57:20about how in order for you to start chasing a vision,
- 57:24you do not need the clearest picture of the vision.
- 57:29It says all you need is the outline. That's it.
- 57:34All you need is the outline, and then the steps
- 57:38will be filled as long as you start to move towards it. So if
- 57:41for anybody watching this, if you have any preview clip of a
- 57:45vision, please know that the creator of the movie's already
- 57:49finished the movie. The movie's already finished.
- 57:53You just have to work backwards to put
- 57:57those pieces together. And if you do that, I promise you life's
- 58:01going to open up incredible doors. So John, that's all I got to say,
- 58:04man. Jason, that is so powerful. I was
- 58:08raised in southeastern United States, raised in Alabama, and raised in
- 58:12church, and that's what we call shouting words right there. Like that, I— it's
- 58:16like, amen, amen. I could run the aisles. Like, that is just so huge,
- 58:19man. I don't just get an image of John running the aisles.
- 58:23I'm telling you what, I could do it because you're so
- 58:26right. The creator of the movie has already created
- 58:30it. If you've got the preview, you just got to get to that frequency.
- 58:33You just got to flow in it. It's already done. I love that.
- 58:37It's like a, it's like a slippery fish. You got to put a pin in
- 58:40it. My mom used to say, opportunity is bald-headed. When it runs past you,
- 58:44you can't grab its hair. You got to grab it because it don't have no
- 58:47hair to grab. If it passed you, you can't get it. So yeah,
- 58:51Jason, you are the man and your impact is huge. Thank you
- 58:55so much for being here with us again on, uh,
- 58:59on this podcast. We may have to do this again in a few months.
- 59:01I really appreciate it. I'm down for it, John. And everyone who hears
- 59:05this, definitely find Jason, connect with Jason,
