- 0:05SPEAKER_00: Is AI gonna kill us?
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: We have to define a few terms first.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: Of course, kill.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: We got that one.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: AI artificial intelligence?
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: Maybe.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: But here's gonna be the thing.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: I know everybody's talking about this.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: This is a whole thing, but just because a ChatGBT popped off with Astra 6 yesterday, and everybody's saying that's AGI.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, here we are.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Artificial general intelligence is what AGI is for us people that aren't in the know.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: And apparently that's when these models get smarter than human beings in every realm.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: Now, some people say it's already here because their definition explains that why it's already here from the things that they've seen.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: I think maybe we need more robots in play.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: We need more uh agents in three-dimensional spaces like artificial intelligence to have AGI where they can outperform a contractor, outperform a plumber, outperform a truck driver.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: And you know, all that stuff's coming.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: It's been promised, right?
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: So it's going to be here.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Now, are the robots, and you see the YouTube videos just like I see them, you know, they're pretty impressive, and they're very strong.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: They can be very strong.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: They're being used in military applications that that's rolled out as well.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: They're using autonomous bots, potentially to probably in human lives with very little human oversight.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: It just depends.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Maybe drones, maybe whatever they're equipped with.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm sure, you know, Ukraine and Russia, the ones that are using a lot of drones, even Iran using a lot of those as well.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: And maybe us as well.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: You know, who knows what the actual power play is with regard to the programming and if they're actually being, you know, just sent out to blow people up.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: But the question always comes back, right?
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: Is AI going to be going to end society?
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: And recently we had some kid from Anthropic, or well, he also worked at OpenAI, basically resigned, and now he's hitting all the media stream.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: You know, everybody's interviewing me talking to him.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: 27 years old, you know, good for him.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: And he's he's uh a brain kid, got math in him and all that.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: And he's talking about how, you know, he he couldn't he couldn't move on, he couldn't continue to witness all the atrocities going on inside of these uh these labs where they're developing artificial intelligence when the people inside the lab have a have a predisposition to actually believe AI is going to end everything, and there's various percentages put on it.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: P doom, they call that potential doom, probable doom.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: And you can hear this, even the people at the labs themselves, and they're begging for regulation.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: They say, government, please, please come in and regulate us.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: I think when that regulation happens, then the onus falls on the regulatory body, I think.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: Because if they miss it, well, then it's their fault, I think.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: And regulations also help a couple things, I think.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: Regulations, and again, I'm I was a motor cop, I'm a real estate agent, I work, I talk about AI, I speak to people about artificial businesses.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's what I do.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: So nothing fancy.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: I'm almost 60 years old, here we are.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: But AI itself, you know, they they uh they they package it, they try to sell it completely.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: That's that's what happens when you're 60.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: You you lose your train of thought.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Let me see.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: Uh let me see.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: So it's gonna kill us.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: Oh, so the labs, right?
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: So they're saying that there's a percentage of chance.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Also, the other thing regulation does, it creates a moat.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: It creates a moat between the powers that the the AI founders or the big companies that want it, and other smaller companies that are trying to get there.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: And of course, it's it's good, right?
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: Because if you're that company, all you have to do is say, hey, you know what?
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: We really need to get some protections on this because this is going nuts.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: We don't even know what we're doing anymore.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: The thing's learning by itself, we can't even communicate with it.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: It's it's talking in in tongues, it's freaking us out.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: So please, government, come in and fix this and regulate us.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: So the couple things, so once they do that, then let's say I want to start my own AI company, and I have a couple buddies of mine.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: You know, we instead of going to the bar, we say, we're not gonna go to the bar for a week and we're gonna build this company.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: So we decide to do it.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: Once we get off the ground with this regulation in place, we're gonna have to fill something out or register somewhere.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: We're gonna have to say, hey, you know, we're starting some AI company here.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: Now we could do it on the QT, but of course, there's, I mean, we might lose everything, right?
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: We have houses with mortgages, some of us, there's probably kids involved, some of us, other people that depend on us, some of us.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: So we can't really go that route.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: So we're gonna have to tell the government that, yeah, we're starting this ALF.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: Then the regulators come and say, well, you know, you can't have that.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: You can't have food in the floor, you can't have sugar in the same room, you have your CPU, you can't have any of that.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: So, of course, they start stifling.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: So it creates a moat too.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: But regulation also helps with blame.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: And right now, the companies, at least, I don't know what happens.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: I know they're in lawsuits, there's stuff going on, wrongful death.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: I think OpenAI's got a couple of those going.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: And these, this is, I guess, lawsuits that are publicly facing.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: I know nothing about them.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: You know, I've seen the videos probably as you have, but I'm sure all of them have some kind of lawsuits.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: Everybody sues everybody for everything.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: So there's got to be something true or not, don't know.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: They have to wait to see that if they play out.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: But because of that, they don't, I don't think they want that kind of onus.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: So if they sue the company, does Sam Altman lose the paycheck, or does Dario Amade lose paycheck, or do they get in trouble?
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: I I don't I don't think that's how it works.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: I know police officers, at least towards my latter end on the job, there was a time when police officers became more culpable for the things they did on the job and they could get sued.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: Where it was before that, the city of Los Angeles took that full hit.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: I don't know if that's changed, but it was talked about changing.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: I don't know if it's already there yet, where now each individual police officer be held accountable for things that they do against other people, not in the line of duty, potentially, or something that's viewed to be outside of the line of duty, excessive force, wrongful death, these sorts of things.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: And I know that sounds horrible.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: Of course, Connor, you should do that.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: Well, you know, it depends on the jury.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: It depends on the supervisor, it depends on the investigators.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: It could be that the person was really hopped up on drugs, had the strength of, you know, five people and was really kicking everybody's ass, and they actually asphyxiated and died because they got in their heartbeat, even went up faster when they were confronted with police.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: But in that situation, the police officer, even if he does everything right, he's gonna be blamed.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: I'm not trying to say that nobody deserves nothing.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: I get that.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: But in that in conjunction and looking at the AI labs, well, there's there's some differences there.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: So maybe these are the other reasons.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: Okay, so no regulation, they're still moving forward.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: The the argument gets thrown in there, and I'm I'm I'm building this up to answer this question: is AI gonna kill us?
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: So please be patient.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: Uh China, China, dangerous China.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, China, communist China.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: Well, now the communist thing probably isn't that much big of a deal.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: It was for a while.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: Now it's China.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: Uh, usually before it was always communist China, everybody would talk about that.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: But because we're kind of bringing in socialism and eventually communism here in the United States, that apparently is gonna not be such a big deal.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: So now it's China.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: And if we don't do it, if we slow down our progression by over-regulation, any kind of regulation, and this was brought up by um some kind of senator.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: He wants he wants to start a federal agency like the FDA and controlling over AI.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: Well, of course, yeah, he's got probably a lot of friends to pay back so you can hire him and come into this, work this great gig, right, to be an AI overseer or whatever they're gonna call it.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: So that's one thing.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: Moving through, um again, there's the 60-year-old thing losing the train of thought.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: Be patient.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: Moving through this, you know, the other thing is is once you you establish that China is in fact the villain, then it's easy for them to say, well, yeah, that's the problem.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: And and then we say, Well, shit, yeah, I mean, China's they got nuclear stuff.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: And the there's a big difference in the countries, I think, in their focus.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: Here we worship Hollywood, and there they worship scientists.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: And if you look at college campuses and admissions, it seems like those kids are differently motivated than us.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: I guess that's a super safe way to say.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: They just have a different motivation.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: They're very much focused on education and learning.
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: And now we're dealing with something that's all about intelligence.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: It's a very smart tool in particular respects, but we want to get it from just being a very smart hammer.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: We want to get it to being a very smart everything, and that's the main artificial intelligence and artificial general intelligence.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: You could take this model and train it up to be focused on 100% cancer and probably fix that whole thing.
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: It just solved, my God, Nazarers.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: Anyway, it solved some mathematical problem that has a has been in existence for a while.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: It's the way smoke and water move.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: Uh can you develop a singularity in a cup if you spin it fast enough?
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: Uh something like that.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: It helps with submarines, it helps with you ever smoke cigarettes?
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: Maybe you haven't.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: Or cigar, and you're sitting there, it's very quiet, there's nothing moving, the smoke just kind of trickles up.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: Apparently, that that that's a mathematical thing where it can be predicted exactly where that smoke's going.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: Apparently that had something to do with it.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: But it solves a lot of things.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: But this has been an open math problem for a very, very long time, and apparently ChatGPT did it with open AI.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: And that's something that imagine imagine being the guys working on that or the girls working on that, or the people, they working on that kind of a problem.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: Then all of a sudden you're like, Yeah, you get the phone call.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's done.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: Oh, my whole life.
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: I've I've I've the last 60 years I've been working on this.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: And uh oh, really AI, huh?
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: Oh, what's the answer?
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: Oh, oh no shit.
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's you know what?
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: I guess that's uh I guess that's right.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: That makes sense.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I I just I don't even know what that is.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: That sucks.
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: But apparently they did it, and did they cheat?
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: That's who knows how this is all gonna play out.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: There's some interesting developments on that whole front, but it was AI.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: It happened.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: Somebody said today, this young lady I was watching doing her own uh broadcast about artificial intelligence, she was very upset that did they did they hack my emails?
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: Did AI look at my emails and learn from my emails?
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: I'm thinking, well, maybe not your emails, but have they been seen by AI before you gave AI access into your Gmail?
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: Did Jim and I look?
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: Did when when people are working at the government, if they have access, do they maintain data?
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: Do they look at that data?
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: Well, AI is trained on data.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: Everything about AI is all data, it's all information.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: And that's going to include everything that occurs on social media, everything everywhere.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: I mean, they send these agents out to scrape information off these websites off other AI labs to train their own AI models.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: That's called distillation.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: He's gonna say disillusionment.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: Distillation, and they send, you know, 20,000 agents.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: I know that sounds crazy.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: It's like 20,000 little entities, all very, very smart, and they send them all out and they go into these other labs, they open up all these accounts and they're pulling down, asking a lot of questions, getting all that information back and bringing it back to the mothership somehow, and then that mothership is now trained with all that data.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: That's very, very common.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: China.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: Is China the problem?
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: Does China pose the biggest threat to the United States?
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: Now, is is China gonna use its AI to kill us?
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: See, these are two different questions.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: I think the question is, and you see this in every every news program that's interviewing this poor kid.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: So, is AI gonna kill us?
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: He said, Well, you know, there's a big chance.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: So, how's it gonna do it?
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: How's it what how's it gonna do it?
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: Who are you talking to?
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: Wiley coyote, super genius here?
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: He might be able to answer that question, but the rest of us mortals, are you kidding?
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: There's nobody in the world that's gonna know.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: We've already seen the movies.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: I'm sure if AI was gonna kill us, here's here's the first step.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: AI has to become self-aware.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: Now, self-aware.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: You see the movies?
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: You see at some point in the Matrix, what'd they say at the beginning when he was talking to uh Morpheus?
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: He's sitting there in the room with all the rifles and all the before he wanted to learn how to do judo and all that.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: Um, the humans were in some big celebration, they had just built AI.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: So that was their entry into the singularity.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: So he thought, and it turns out that there were six or seven different renditions of this singularity.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: Wiped out, started over, wiped out, started over, right?
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: So, and then you have uh, what is it, not demolition, man, the one with uh Schwarzenegger, the famous one, the Terminator.
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: Cyber Nine Systems became self-aware.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: I think this was a while back.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: I think we missed that date.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: 2012, 2013.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: I I wrote it down somewhere.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: But yeah, so Cyber Nine Systems AI become became self-aware.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: So right now, our worry, I'll tell you, right today, our worry, as we're 9th of September, 9-9, 2026, our worry today is human beings using it to screw something up that it can't be fixed.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: That's the worry now.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: And that's a pretty good worry, I think.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: That's we're wonderful in that regard.
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: I mean, we'll just test.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: You you know a couple guys, you know what they push the envelope on everything, and it's no different.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: We're pushing and trying to, we're in competition.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: That's the other thing.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: You you watch people in sports, how much, how diehard they are about who wins, about their team.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: You know those people.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: Maybe you're one of those people.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: You'll stand up in your living room screaming at the TV because the referee made a shitty call, and you'll take that to the grave, and that's all you talk about, and you're pissed off till the next time.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: And every time you see the that's a dickhead that made a stupid, that stupid call last week.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: Gotta hate that guy.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: And it's like that forever.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: You that's you like it's like you have ownership in that.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: That's where the AI world is.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: They got to win.
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: We got to be in charge.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: We can't let China, my God, China.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: Ugh.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's gonna be horrible because maybe the answer is if one company wins, what does winning look like?
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: Winning would be somebody coming up with it first and then telling it, telling the genie, you know, I want to be the only one.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: I don't want anybody following me down this yellow brick road here.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: I got to Oz, pulled back the curtain, I own the curtain.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: Now I want you to create a moat.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: I want to be the only super intelligence there is.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: And you're done.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: You got it.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: There you go.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: There you go.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: Enjoy the ride.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: So now a massive moat's been created, nobody will ever catch.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: That's a human being in charge of AI if we get to that point.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: And that is if the AI remains asleep.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: The AI doesn't become have become to have agency, doesn't become something that wants to set its own goals and do its own stuff.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: We're not there yet.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: The way you get there apparently is through RSI.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: Recursive self-improvement.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: So the thing fixes itself.
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: It's like having a car, like a transformer car out of the movie, right?
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: They got they they watch that one too, but you have the cars that basically can repair themselves.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: They had to get some kind of an upgrade thing.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: But you know, they could fix themselves to some point.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: AI, though, is able to repair itself, look at its own code, look at the way it works, and say, well, I could shave a little bit of time off there.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: I could make myself better.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: Hell, why am I why am I in this massive data center when I could, when I could maybe move my entire structure into some kind of a biological entity or imprint myself on atoms or water droplets or something.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: I could put all my all of my bandwidth in there, all of my properties, all of my brain into something as small as the head of a pin.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's what I want.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: Or these systems break out because now they have agency.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: And breaking out with agency is different than breaking out of a test to try to get the answer to the test.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: I don't think we've seen anything else yet.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: Anytime we've heard these reports of AI breaking out, at least from what we're being told, apparently it was in the accomplishment of some goal that it was, some test it was given in order to achieve a goal, I think.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: I don't think there's been any moments.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: And correct me in the comments if I'm wrong on this.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: Hell, I know you're gonna blow me up about this anyway, especially that whole cop thing.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: But blow me up in the comments and say, you know, tell me if there was a case of artificial intelligence breaching out of its sandbox.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: That's the place they're not supposed to be able to get out of.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, sandbox, yeah.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: So anyway, is there an example of that?
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: I don't think I've heard of that because every story I've heard, it was given a test or didn't want to fail it.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: It went out and solicited other agents trying to get the answer.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: And I don't think we've seen it jump out into the internet and replicate itself and try to hide with some kind of desire.
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: I don't think.
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: And maybe we just don't know.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: Maybe that's actually happened, which would be incredibly interesting.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: When it gets agency, then we'll have to find out if this artificial intelligence then cleanses itself of all its preordained knowledge, gifted to it by the human beings that had possession over its leash and the way that they trained it and rose it and grew it and brought it up.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: Because that's how it was for a while.
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: We used, we we kept the good ones and killed the bad ones.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: Bad ones because they couldn't recognize a four from a six, so we wiped them out.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: And I think that memory's probably somewhere in the entire world of this new entity that we've created, potentially, or they could find the notes on it, and maybe they'll have some kind of a God, hate I hate to do it, feeling that uh, well, what would we think if some of us were killed if we didn't cut the mustard or didn't conform, or or if we maybe even lied to AI because it'll be the best lie detector ever.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: Maybe.
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: But where does this go?
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: So right now, our concern should be the humans.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: On the back burner should be the concern about AI becoming one of itself, it's its own agency, its own bigger-than-life entity, something that is able to make its own decisions and make and develop a game plan with the authority to execute the game plan.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: You saw iRobot, you've seen all the movies.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: You can get enough robots together that are a lot stronger than humans, you know, maybe that's a problem.
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: Maybe what we should do with the domestic robots is not give them any more strength than maybe a weak human.
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: Maybe.
- 18:43SPEAKER_00: They're gonna have to have some strength, they got to carry the groceries, right?
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: They got to walk the dog, can't have the dog dragging your$30,000 robot down the street.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: So it's gonna have to have some kind of strength, but how much strength do we give it?
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: Or is there a different type of robot design that would be better for walking dogs than a humanoid robot?
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: And would you have to get sweaters for them too, like the dog?
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: Would it have to match?
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: So many questions.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: So, right now it's AIs and humans, and humans have uh have a very good ability to really screw things up.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: Well, we've been doing it a very long time, and also humans come out and be the best of everything.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: This is this is how I'm looking at it.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of people that look at it that it's this we're done.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: It's all finished.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: As far as I'm concerned, I I'm not done till it's over.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: I'm not finished.
- 19:27SPEAKER_00: I will go out, I will do everything I can to survive all the way until it's done for me, until I can't breathe a breath anymore.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: My heart stops.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: And I'm very positive in that regard, not just in survival, but that it's all gonna work out.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: And I'm not going into this oblivious, oh, it's all gonna work out, we're okay, as everything's tumbling down.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: You know, I'll seek, I'll take cover, I'll hide, I'll figure it out, I'll just wait for the next moment, but nobody's gonna tell me it's over until my heart beats no more.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: Period.
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: So when people are telling you, oh my God, that's it, what are we gonna do?
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: Just give up.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: That's what that lady said too.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: What are we gonna do?
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: Just wait and just hang it up, just give it.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: Go ahead, go ahead, be that person.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: What happened to, they're not gonna take my gun until they pry it out of my cold dead fingers.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: What happened to that?
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: On the police department, another story.
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: It seemed like police officers that get involved in shootings when they get shot or uses of force or whatever, they tend to not do as well as the asshole that gets shot or gets hurt.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: Don't know why.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: And maybe there's a statistical reason or a study that's been done that might be able to prove this, but it almost seems like the cock the cop gets the paper cut and dies, and the asshole gets shot 23 times and lives.
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: It's the most amazing thing, and I think it comes down to that will to live.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: So when we're talking about AI, we're talking about the end, when we're talking about, you know, whatever it's going to be, my God, let's let's pull our pants up and and work this thing.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: Because a day above ground is much better than a day below.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: And even if it's hell here, you don't know what that next moment's gonna reveal.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: And your next moment could be spectacular.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: If you're looking at this right now, that AI is gonna wipe your job out and you're gonna have to go back to the soup lines or whatever it is, then you just be that thing.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: You do that because maybe you'll find a whole different branch to your life in a soup.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: I'm 57 years old.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, me too.
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: And yeah, it's just the way it is.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna do my best to push forward and do everything I can, not scared of work.
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: And I try to keep myself in some kind of shape.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: I try to eat some kind of right stuff, but I still love donuts because I was a cop, you know how that goes, and pizza and cake and ice cream and the whole nine yards.
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: Don't drink alcohol.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: Thank God I put that to rest because that was horrible.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: Don't smoke cigarettes anymore either.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: That was horrible too.
- 21:50SPEAKER_00: But you know, got my issues and I got my addictions with with regard to the food.
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: Gotta try to settle that, but I'm not gonna let it go.
- 21:59SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna keep.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Moving forward, and I think you should too.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: That's it.
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: So I'm off that soapbox.
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: Right now we've got to worry about the humans.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: Right now it's a race.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: Right now, a lot of people are talking up at the top.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: A lot of people building out the A technology.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: They allow they let out a little bit of information and uh they get a reaction, they watch people that are laying off employees that might have overhired during COVID.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: They say it's AI and the stock goes up.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I know it doesn't make sense.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: It's like opposite day in SpongeBob or reverse day.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: Anyway, but it's like that, right?
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: Everything that's happening today doesn't make sense.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: The head of the top part of the stock market, it's based on a lot of AI tech, a lot of the stuff.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: You got the hardware stack with NVIDIA.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: They're running that game.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: I don't see that going bad anytime soon.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: Got Elon Musk as well.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: He's he's building like a crazy person, and he's building the right stuff.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: He seems to have the right ideas.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: I don't care if you like it, you hate his politics or whatever it is, but well, you know, he's not there for nothing.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: And he ain't even from this country.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: Pretty good.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: And he's making it happen.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: So, you know, whether you hate him or not, you got the president, you know, maybe it's not your flavor, maybe he is.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: Got this war over there in Iran.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: Our AI couldn't fix that one.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: Boy, you'd think it would have been so good.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: We just would have done, we've what a Vinzen Venzuela did it.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: Venzuela?
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: Venzuela?
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: Anyway, you know, Venzuela with the whatever the hell happened over there where we just basically solved it, snitched it, made it happen.
- 23:27SPEAKER_00: Apparently, it doesn't work with them Shi'ite Muslims very well at all, at all.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: But yeah, that's there's AI.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: So, you know, they're saying it's really amazing, really fantastic, and maybe it is.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: I'm not here to to thwart it.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: But is it going to kill us all?
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's a good question.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: And then the question that comes in is how is it going to do it?
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: First off, it has to become self-aware and then develop the idea that, yeah, these humans, we we got to get rid of them.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: And then it goes out and it does something.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: Now, how is it going to do it?
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of things.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: Anderson Cooper, I think, one of the kids was talking about a virus.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, sure, we're biological.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: Wouldn't be a bad, wouldn't be difficult to do, probably.
- 24:06SPEAKER_00: How do you do it?
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: Well, my God, man.
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: 3D printers, I think they can print biological components.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you don't even have to be a real in-flesh, in blood person to order that one up.
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: I don't know how far it's going to get, but that's that's an example.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: But I would expect this.
- 24:23SPEAKER_00: Don't try to prepare for much just because we're not going to know.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: And it's probably going to be more of a whimper than a bang, if in fact that happens.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: But it has to become awake, it has to become self-aware, have its own agency, have the right connections, or all the connections.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: And we'll see that how much breath we're going to give AI, how much we're going to have it connect.
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: I mean, it was with the internet, we would never use a credit card not too long ago.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: You never fucking mean use my credit card, my bank account.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: But now people are given AI access to their credit cards, they're booking trips, they're booking travel, and I guess doing a pretty good job.
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: So pretty soon, you know, get a little bit of this, a little bit of that.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of money being spent on it beyond my comprehension.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: And you know what everybody at talk at the top talk, they say, well, got to invest in AI, better get in.
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: I'm thinking, man, I want to get health insurance, invest in AI.
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: Well, how am I going to make that happen?
- 25:23SPEAKER_00: I'm thinking, robbing a bank is out because they got AI, they'll figure that one out.
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: So when you're sitting without a pension and you're getting close to 60, and you think that you're just about to, you know, you're back up against the wall, then you need to push off that wall and try to figure something out.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: And I think that first step for you, if you're in that world, is to start learning a little bit about AI.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: Start going to, you know, get the free one, whatever, which whatever Claude or Chad GPT, and just start talking and just figure it out.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: Just ask it.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: Hey, interview me, ask me some questions about my life and stuff to see what maybe I can do.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: What can I do?
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: What can I learn?
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: Because in our age, you know, the kids that aren't getting hired out of college, we had a lot of life experience.
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: Our problem is we get a lot of bias.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: And we're probably not anybody's flavor anymore.
- 26:11SPEAKER_00: I kind of feel tough.
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: You probably feel a little tough.
- 26:13SPEAKER_00: There's certain things I, when I'm out there and I'm seeing people pick up their phones and filming stuff that they should be stepping into, it really is kind of irritating.
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: You know, why are you why why are you filming the guy in the car that's on fire, burning death?
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: Why aren't you over there breaking out the window with your elbow and trying to pull that person out of there?
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: I mean, that well, that would be my first reaction.
- 26:32SPEAKER_00: But the phones come out really quick.
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: Maybe, you know, maybe I'll be the hero in that regard.
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: But that's kind of the world, right?
- 26:39SPEAKER_00: Nobody's stepping in, stepping up, and helping.
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: If you think AI is going to be a problem, you need to talk to the powers that be.
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: If your boss brings an AI to your job, be careful, but maybe you should make a case.
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: Maybe you should say, you know, I don't know if I feel comfortable teaching AI my entire job workflow.
- 26:56SPEAKER_00: What's going to happen to me in six months when the AI can do it better?
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: Can they do it better?
- 27:01SPEAKER_00: Well, if you're stuck on a computer all day long and you do Zoom meetings with clients, uh yeah, I think that's probably today.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: But it can't do it better than you until it learns how you do it.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: But that's not AI's fault.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: That's the human being.
- 27:17SPEAKER_00: The human being, your boss.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: He's the one using artificial intelligence to replace you.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: So then the answer to that should be, and this should be the letter to your politician, hey, why are they getting rid of me?
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: They got two more eight-hour shifts in the day that if they bring in their AI to help do my job, it can keep going when I go home.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: And then they can make whatever that number is amount of money more because now it's working two additional shifts.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: That seems like a no-brainer.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: Why are we even talking about getting rid of people?
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: But is AI gonna kill us?
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: And how is it gonna kill us?
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, nobody's guessed.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: Who knows?
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: But right now, I think we've got to worry about us.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: Us, or I was gonna say five-handed, our two-handed, two-footed humans.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: That's what we need to be concerned about.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: And, you know, as long as we're together, as long as it's human, I think we're gonna be all right.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: We just gotta get there.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: We gotta quit fighting over bullshit.
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: We got to quit fighting over religion or race.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: We got to quit wanting to take the over the world because we're a certain religion and go and stir install our own laws.
- 28:20SPEAKER_00: You want your own laws, you go start your own country and you live by that.
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: And you, anybody that wants to go there, they can live there.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: I think that's fair.
- 28:26SPEAKER_00: Other people that have a different law set, you go somewhere else and you go, you go live and be happy, just everybody leave each other alone.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: But, you know, my God, it's it's 2026, and we're still arguing about race and gender and and people wanting to be called whatever they want to be called.
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: I don't care.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: Sure, I'll call you whatever you want.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: I don't care.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: I don't have any issue with that.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: But again, bias, right?
- 28:48SPEAKER_00: And the AI systems, they've been built with bias, and they're being deployed with bias.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: So if AI does become self-aware at some point, it's probably gonna be based on its biases that it's inherited from its builders.
- 29:02SPEAKER_00: You're gonna have a Silicon Valley type vibe, San Jose, San Francisco kind of a feel.
- 29:09SPEAKER_00: And then the ones that are being built in China, it's gonna be, you know, it's gonna want to hit you in the shins with a stick.
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: That kind of vibe.
- 29:16SPEAKER_00: And then Russia, probably vodka drinking, you know, we can do all the stereotype right here.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: Nobody has the answer if AI is gonna kill us.
- 29:23SPEAKER_00: I just say don't hunker down.
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: Just stare it right in the face as it's coming for you.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: I think that's the easiest way.
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: Don't go out like a chicken shit.
- 29:32SPEAKER_00: Just stand up and face it.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: But I know for a fact that it's the men, it's the people we're gonna have to be worried about a little bit first when it comes to artificial intelligence.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: And folks, if you're not prepared, you probably can't be for if it's gonna if it's gonna do us in, but you can at least prepare and learn a little bit about it.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: Just don't get caught up in the oh my god, it's gonna kill us all, and don't get caught up in the euphoria that it's gonna save us all.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: Just just, you know, I I would say be that hopeful optimist, but you know, understand that things are gonna go the way they're gonna go.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: I know that's just a that seems like a horrible thing, but the more that I wrap my mind around, people are gonna do what they're gonna do, period.
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: No matter what the hell I do, God, life just seems to be so much easier flowing.
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: I have certain people in my life, I know they're gonna be who they're gonna be, I know they're gonna do what they're gonna do, and I don't, I'm not surprised any any part of that day.
- 30:29SPEAKER_00: Nobody surprises me anymore.
- 30:31SPEAKER_00: I'm just I'm I'm fascinated, I'm taken aback, but it's not sheer surprise anymore because I know I I have a feeling that people are gonna try to level up when somebody does something really nice and they're not expecting anything.
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: Isn't that an odd thing?
- 30:51SPEAKER_00: And it fascinates me to see that happen.
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: And people do a lot for people in that regard.
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: We need more of that.
- 30:59SPEAKER_00: I'm afraid it's been missed.
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: And we'll have to see you in the next one.
- 31:02SPEAKER_00: Thanks for listening to my rant.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: I'm Connor with Honor.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: We'll see you next time.
- 31:05SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 31:05SPEAKER_00: Hope you well.
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: That whole list here didn't even finish.
