- 2:53Speaker 1: it's winding rivers, and thousands of miles of remote backcountry,
- 2:59Speaker 1: making it one of the most scenic states in the country. However,
- 3:04Speaker 1: this also makes missing person cases especially challenging. Okay. According
- 3:11Speaker 1: to the National Missing and Unidentified Person Systems, Idaho consistently
- 3:17Speaker 1: has around ninety to one hundred and thirty active missing
- 3:21Speaker 1: person cases at any given time. Now, many people are
- 3:27Speaker 1: located each year, okay, but like I said, still have
- 3:31Speaker 1: ninety to a thirty that stays missing. Okay. Now, one
- 3:37Speaker 1: of the things that you need to remember about Idaho
- 3:41Speaker 1: is it is vast and it is a challenge to
- 3:45Speaker 1: find missing persons, so it makes it even more important
- 3:49Speaker 1: for us to share their cases. Well, Hello Buffy, glad
- 3:54Speaker 1: that you are working out while you're listening to us,
- 3:58Speaker 1: because I have not hit the working out today. So.

- 4:45Speaker 1: Sawtoothed National Forests. Not good, guys, now. Despite searches of
- 4:52Speaker 1: the surrounding area, there was no sign of Craig and
- 4:56Speaker 1: investigators found no evidence to explain what happened to him.

- 7:10Speaker 1: here in the near future. But I didn't want to

- 7:15Speaker 1: talk about the details today and then we will have
- 7:19Speaker 1: a loved one on here in the near future. So.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Lilian Diazgomez was last seen in Jerome County, Idaho, in
- 7:28Speaker 1: early March twenty twenty, with her official missing date listed
- 7:32Speaker 1: as March sixth. At the time, the twenty one year
- 7:36Speaker 1: old was facing several difficult challenges. Her parents, who still
- 7:41Speaker 1: lived in Guatemala, had recently filed for divorce, and according
- 7:45Speaker 1: to our family, she began struggling with drug use after
- 7:49Speaker 1: moving from Guatemala to Idaho. Lilliam had been living with
- 7:53Speaker 1: her aunt and uncle in Jerome while working at a
- 7:56Speaker 1: local dairy farm. She was known to be very very
- 8:00Speaker 1: close to both her relatives okay they're in Idaho and
- 8:05Speaker 1: her family in Guatemala, especially her younger sister, with whom
- 8:11Speaker 1: she communicated almost every day, Concerned about the people she
- 8:17Speaker 1: had begun associating with. Her family watched as Lilia moved
- 8:21Speaker 1: out of her relatives home and rented a room from
- 8:24Speaker 1: a man who also worked at the dairy. Now, according
- 8:29Speaker 1: to those close to her, she eventually became involved with
- 8:33Speaker 1: people connected to the local drug scene, something her family
- 8:38Speaker 1: feared would place her in danger. And guys, no judgment.
- 8:43Speaker 1: There are so many people here in the United States
- 8:47Speaker 1: and across the country that in difficult times starts self
- 8:51Speaker 1: medicating tri ducks and they wind up in a drug
- 8:56Speaker 1: addiction situation. No judgment. It can happen to anyone now.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Like I said, the last conferved contact anyone had with
- 9:05Speaker 1: Lilian wasn't early of March, when she spoke with her
- 9:09Speaker 1: younger sister. After the conversation, her family could no longer
- 9:14Speaker 1: reach her. Calls and text messages when unanswered, which guys,
- 9:20Speaker 1: they say, is totally out of character. Okay. Now, as
- 9:26Speaker 1: the family began searching for her aunt and uncle, contacted
- 9:30Speaker 1: the man she had most recently been reading a room from.
- 9:34Speaker 1: He told them Lilian had moved out, left behind some money,
- 9:38Speaker 1: and had gone to live with an unidentified couple in Jerome,
- 9:43Speaker 1: who were reportedly involved in the same drugs scene. Okay,
- 9:48Speaker 1: red flag there, But despite trying to locate her, the
- 9:54Speaker 1: family ran into dead end after dead end, and they
- 9:59Speaker 1: wound up reporting her missing. As her loved ones began
- 10:04Speaker 1: posting missing person flyers throughout the community, an unidentified woman
- 10:09Speaker 1: contacted the family with troubling information Okay. She directed them
- 10:14Speaker 1: to the location of Lilium's red Chevy Cruise, which was
- 10:18Speaker 1: found parked at the couple's residence. Okay. The vehicle appeared
- 10:23Speaker 1: to have been damaged and ransacked, as though someone had
- 10:26Speaker 1: attempted to break into it or started Her phone and
- 10:30Speaker 1: keys were never recovered, but the rest of her belongings
- 10:35Speaker 1: remained behind now. The same woman also claimed that while
- 10:40Speaker 1: Lilium was at the couple's home in Tripping, two people
- 10:44Speaker 1: dragged her out of the house. She identified as one
- 10:48Speaker 1: of those individuals. Okay, And, according to people who knew Lilium,
- 10:56Speaker 1: Juan Sanchez Ponce had become obsessed with her in the
- 10:59Speaker 1: weeks leading up to her disappearance. That's a red flag.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Friends reported that he frequently called and texted her, harassing
- 11:07Speaker 1: her and pursuing a relationship she did not want. Okay.
- 11:13Speaker 1: They also said that he allegedly told Lylium, if you
- 11:18Speaker 1: won't be for me, you won't be for anyone. Wow, guys,
- 11:24Speaker 1: that is scary. One year after Lilium disappeared, Sanchez Ponce
- 11:30Speaker 1: was federally indicted on charges of possession with the tempt
- 11:33Speaker 1: to distribute methanphetamine, and heroine, along with illegal possessions of firearms.
- 11:40Speaker 1: He was sentenced to five years in federal prison in
- 11:43Speaker 1: December twenty twenty one. No charges in regard to Lilium's disappearance, okay.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Lilium still remains missing, okay. She is described as a
- 11:55Speaker 1: Hispanic female, black hair and brown eyes. She stands five
- 12:00Speaker 1: two inches tall weighs approximately one hundred and twenty pounds okay.
- 12:05Speaker 1: She has a six inch scar on her abdomen a
- 12:08Speaker 1: one inch scar on her right arm, and she may
- 12:11Speaker 1: use the middle name Carolina, and her first name may
- 12:15Speaker 1: also be spelled is Lily N l I l I
- 12:19Speaker 1: A N instead of so. We are asking if you
- 12:23Speaker 1: have any information about the disappearance of Lilian Diez Gomez,
- 12:29Speaker 1: please contact the Jerome County Sheriff's Office at two oh
- 12:32Speaker 1: eight three two four eight eight four five or you
- 12:38Speaker 1: can call the Idaho Cold Case tip Line at eight
- 12:42Speaker 1: four four eight four seven for zero for zero. And remember, guys,
- 12:47Speaker 1: it just takes one tip, Okay, just one tip.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Okay.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Now, I do want to thank you all for being
- 12:56Speaker 1: here again. I do want to ask, so I'll shoot
- 12:59Speaker 1: ask you. If you're on Facebook, go to our Midday
- 13:02Speaker 1: Missing Facebook group. That is where we post all of
- 13:06Speaker 1: our missing person posters, along with others that we find
- 13:11Speaker 1: from other sites that have been verified. For those of
- 13:15Speaker 1: you not on Facebook, remember you can find them over
- 13:18Speaker 1: on my socials for Terry True Crime. Okay. Now, this
- 13:24Speaker 1: week we had to cancel a last Thursday for True
- 13:28Speaker 1: Crime and mind Time because Spectrum decided to go wonky
- 13:32Speaker 1: and our main internet went out and then our home
- 13:35Speaker 1: internet of T Mobile went out too and we didn't
- 13:39Speaker 1: get Wi Fi back until five am. So that means
- 13:43Speaker 1: this Thursday at eight eastern, seventh Central, we will be
- 13:48Speaker 1: back to cover part four of this Sarah Hartsfield case.
- 13:54Speaker 1: And if you haven't had a chance to listen to
- 13:56Speaker 1: the first three episodes, I am a definitely recommend you
- 14:01Speaker 1: go do that because this woman is that shit crazy
- 14:05Speaker 1: and she's Bunny Boiler. She is all of the crazies
- 14:09Speaker 1: rolled up into one, so you're going to want to
- 14:12Speaker 1: be there, okay. Also, Lama and I will be back
- 14:16Speaker 1: here in about forty five minutes where we will continue
- 14:19Speaker 1: our ongoing coverage for Murder Mondays. So definitely stick around
- 14:26Speaker 1: or go grab some lunch snacks and come back and
- 14:30Speaker 1: you can join me and Lama here at the top
