- 0:00Speaker 1: Fly from Midtown Manhattan. Here comes the Mark Simone Show
- 0:05Speaker 1: on seven R.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Hey, another beautiful day to day. It's gonna be even
- 0:13Speaker 2: warmer today. We got a lot to get to. We'll
- 0:15Speaker 2: get to this, no King's stuff. We'll get to creepy,
- 0:20Speaker 2: dirty Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel. Excuse me, I apologize to
- 0:24Speaker 2: Jimmy Fallen. Nice guy, Jimmy Kimmel, disgusting, creepy guy. We'll
- 0:27Speaker 2: get to him. We'll get to Mom Donnie. We'll get
- 0:30Speaker 2: to Iran. We'll get to Cole Allen. We'll get to that.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Speaking of creepy, we'll get to that Doctor Fauci. Looks
- 0:39Speaker 2: like the walls of justice are closing in on him.
- 0:43Speaker 2: So the funniest thing was yesterday King Charles comes to Washington.
- 0:49Speaker 2: He meets the President at the White House. You saw
- 0:53Speaker 2: the pictures of them meeting. It was quite nice. The
- 0:56Speaker 2: first Lady, Milania Trump, then takes them on a tour
- 1:00Speaker 2: of the beehive at the White House. She's built this
- 1:03Speaker 2: beehive so they can produce their own honey, and the
- 1:07Speaker 2: beehives very cute. It looks like the White House. She
- 1:10Speaker 2: built it to look like the White house. They give
- 1:12Speaker 2: Prince Charles, King Charles, King Charles a tour of the beehive,
- 1:18Speaker 2: and people wonder, what does the king actually do? This
- 1:20Speaker 2: is what you do. Somebody leads you around, shows you
- 1:23Speaker 2: this beehive, and you have to pretend like you're interested,
- 1:26Speaker 2: like you find this fascinating, and you got to go ah, oh,
- 1:30Speaker 2: and I'm act excited about this now. Then this was
- 1:34Speaker 2: the funniest thing I ever saw. Then they all go
- 1:38Speaker 2: to the King and Camilla is she the queen? Yeah,
- 1:41Speaker 2: she's the queen. The King and Queen go to the
- 1:44Speaker 2: British embassy for a big Washington DC party, And it
- 1:50Speaker 2: was the silliest thing I've ever seen. It was Nancy
- 1:54Speaker 2: Pelosi and all the Democrats and Schumer, all the Democrats
- 1:57Speaker 2: are there greeting and slobbering all over King Charles. What
- 2:01Speaker 2: happened to that no king stuff? I guess you got
- 2:05Speaker 2: over that no kings thing. Here's an actual king. They're
- 2:08Speaker 2: at the reception. They went way out of their way
- 2:11Speaker 2: to be there to hug him, to shake his hand,
- 2:13Speaker 2: to tell them, how wonderfully what happened to your no
- 2:16Speaker 2: king's stuff? Here's an actual king, the real deal now,
- 2:22Speaker 2: he's coming to well, actually today he's going to address Congress.
- 2:28Speaker 2: There'll be a speech to Congress, and watch the Democrats.
- 2:30Speaker 2: They'll be nodding at what happened to your no kings thing.
- 2:33Speaker 2: You're supposed to walk out, you're not supposed to be
- 2:36Speaker 2: there for this king. And then tonight is a big
- 2:40Speaker 2: state dinner at the White House, and you'll see all
- 2:45Speaker 2: the Democrats, all the top Democrats will be there for
- 2:47Speaker 2: the state dinner for the what happened to you know,
- 2:49Speaker 2: kings thing and King Charles. You remember when he invited
- 2:54Speaker 2: President Trump over to England for a similar state dinner.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Remember the room that was in. It was in this
- 3:00Speaker 2: room in the Palace that looks so ornate, so grand.
- 3:05Speaker 2: It was the most impressive room ever. Now he's going
- 3:11Speaker 2: to come to a state dinner in this little tiny
- 3:12Speaker 2: East room in the White House that holds about twelve
- 3:14Speaker 2: people and isn't much of anything. This is why you
- 3:18Speaker 2: need the ballroom. You got to have the ballroom. It's
- 3:20Speaker 2: got to look and these world leaders when they come
- 3:22Speaker 2: here can't believe the chintzy little room they got at
- 3:26Speaker 2: the White House to have an affair in. And if
- 3:29Speaker 2: it's bigger, they got to go outside on a tent.
- 3:31Speaker 2: These world leaders all live in these incredible palaces, so
- 3:35Speaker 2: it's embarrassing. That's why you need a ballroom here, besides
- 3:37Speaker 2: the other reasons of security reasons. Then tomorrow Wednesday, the
- 3:43Speaker 2: King comes to New York, where Mam Donnie will greet
- 3:49Speaker 2: him and Mam Donnie will be all over him. He's
- 3:51Speaker 2: going to take him to a nine to eleven sort
- 3:53Speaker 2: of an event. Mam Donnie will be so gracious and
- 3:57Speaker 2: wonderful with the King. What happened to you know? No
- 4:00Speaker 2: King's thing? Wasn't Mam Donnie one of those no kings people.
- 4:05Speaker 2: He's going to be all over, slobbering all over this king.
- 4:07Speaker 2: So you know, that's the reason we we have the
- 4:13Speaker 2: fourth of July. It's the two hundred and fiftieth birthday
- 4:15Speaker 2: of America. That's why we wanted to get rid of
- 4:18Speaker 2: the king. So we we revolted against the king and
- 4:22Speaker 2: broke away from the King. Actually there is a no
- 4:25Speaker 2: King's Day, It's called the fourth of July. So hey,
- 4:28Speaker 2: the other thing going on is Jimmy Kimmel. So everybody
- 4:33Speaker 2: feels that ABC has to fire the guy. First of all,
- 4:36Speaker 2: he's got just a few months left on the contract.
- 4:40Speaker 2: It's not even a contract, it's an extension of the
- 4:42Speaker 2: old contract. Second, the show loses money. It's expected to
- 4:49Speaker 2: lose about forty million this year. The show is a
- 4:52Speaker 2: total failure. It has a tiny audience. It's going to
- 4:55Speaker 2: lose forty million a year. Get rid of the thing.
- 5:00Speaker 2: They didn't like what Roseanne was tweeting when she made
- 5:03Speaker 2: her comeback. She was tweeting a pro Trump stuff. They
- 5:07Speaker 2: said they didn't like her, and ABC fired her even
- 5:10Speaker 2: though her sitcom, which she had brought back, was a
- 5:12Speaker 2: big hit and was making twenty million a year for
- 5:15Speaker 2: the network. It was a hit, making twenty million. This
- 5:18Speaker 2: is a total ratings disaster, losing forty million, and they
- 5:21Speaker 2: haven't fired him. The guy made a disgusting joke. Now.
- 5:26Speaker 2: It was just before the assassination attempt. He made a
- 5:29Speaker 2: joke about Milania looks like an expectant widow. In other words,
- 5:33Speaker 2: your husband's going to be dead pretty soon. Now that's
- 5:35Speaker 2: an assassination joke. Although he claims not, He repeated the
- 5:41Speaker 2: joke again last night, claims it was a joke about age.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I said, our first lady, Malani is here.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Look at her.
- 5:47Speaker 1: So beautiful missus Trump, you will have a glow like
- 5:49Speaker 1: an expectant widow. Which obviously was a joke about their
- 5:56Speaker 1: age difference and the look of joy we see face
- 6:00Speaker 1: every time they're together. It was a very light roast
- 6:03Speaker 1: joke about the fact that he's almost eighty and she's
- 6:05Speaker 1: younger than I am. It was not, by any stretch
- 6:09Speaker 1: of the definition, a call to assassination.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Yeah, he was her birth it was her birthday yesterday.
- 6:16Speaker 2: She's I think fifty seven, So that's a twenty two
- 6:21Speaker 2: year age difference. It's not that bad. It's not like
- 6:26Speaker 2: you know, an eighty year old with a twenty six
- 6:28Speaker 2: year old. I mean, it's not that big an age difference,
- 6:31Speaker 2: it seems. I guess you could claim that was what
- 6:34Speaker 2: he was. He could claim that's the point of the joke.
- 6:37Speaker 2: But I don't know if anybody's buying it. Will Will
- 6:40Speaker 2: he get fired? I don't know. This is up to Disney.
- 6:44Speaker 2: There's a new chairman of Disney, now we'll see. I mean,
- 6:48Speaker 2: I would take him off the air just because who
- 6:50Speaker 2: needs this, Who needs this aggravation? And if they don't
- 6:53Speaker 2: fire him, you will only encourage him to do more
- 6:56Speaker 2: creepy disgusting jokes. And the problem there is you start
- 6:59Speaker 2: to lose a affiliates. And once you start losing the affiliates,
- 7:03Speaker 2: they got to take it off the air. The other thing,
- 7:05Speaker 2: and they know this is when they take them off
- 7:06Speaker 2: the air and put on a game show or something,
- 7:09Speaker 2: it will get triple the ratings. Literally, remember that time
- 7:14Speaker 2: they suspended them for a week. They put on reruns
- 7:16Speaker 2: of Password and it got triple the ratings. And it
- 7:21Speaker 2: costs nothing. You don't have to have a band, you
- 7:22Speaker 2: don't have to have a studio audience, you don't have
- 7:24Speaker 2: to have a theater and ushers. You just run reruns
- 7:27Speaker 2: and get triple the ratings. So the mentalist from the
- 7:31Speaker 2: White House course bondts dinner Oz. It's not Oz, it's O's.
- 7:37Speaker 2: It looks like Oz to me, but it's O's O's pearlman.
- 7:40Speaker 2: They begged them to come on Jimmy Kimmel's show and
- 7:43Speaker 2: he refused. He will not do it. Good for him.
- 7:47Speaker 2: And again, if the guy is such a mentalist, how
- 7:50Speaker 2: come he had no idea what was going to happen
- 7:54Speaker 2: Saturday night. In fact, you see him up on the
- 7:56Speaker 2: dais bothering President Trump, showing him some card trick or something,
- 8:00Speaker 2: some little trick, and Melanie is pretending to be interested
- 8:04Speaker 2: in the President is rolling his eyes. But this is
- 8:08Speaker 2: like one second before the gunshots. If this guy is
- 8:11Speaker 2: such a mentalist, he doesn't know that in one second
- 8:15Speaker 2: there is going to be four gunshots. I don't know.
- 8:19Speaker 2: George Clooney getting a little flat. George Clooney weighed in
- 8:22Speaker 2: on the Jimmy Gimmel joke and defending it. What a surprise.
- 8:29Speaker 2: A lot of people making fun of him on Twitter,
- 8:32Speaker 2: saying things like, whenever there's an attempted assassination on the president,
- 8:36Speaker 2: you really need George Clooney to weigh in on it.
- 8:38Speaker 2: But now, as far as the assassin, it's Cole Allen,
- 8:46Speaker 2: not to be confused with Cale Allen, who's the longtime
- 8:49Speaker 2: editor of the New York Post, but Cole Allen. But
- 8:52Speaker 2: as soon as you fire those shots, you immediately get
- 8:55Speaker 2: referred to by all three names. So it's Cole, Thomas Allen,
- 9:00Speaker 2: and Lee Harvey Oswald is in James Earl Ray assassin's
- 9:04Speaker 2: three names. And he was in court yesterday for the
- 9:09Speaker 2: first time. At the hearing, he was quite defiant. He
- 9:13Speaker 2: answered the judges question confidently, very loudly too. It's very
- 9:18Speaker 2: loud confident. They hit him with all sorts of charges.
- 9:23Speaker 2: They're gonna hit him with more charges. They started with
- 9:26Speaker 2: transportation of a firearm across state lines. He took the
- 9:30Speaker 2: train from California. Instead of a five hour flight, he
- 9:33Speaker 2: took out like a five day train, right. Another reason
- 9:35Speaker 2: for that is there's no TSA. When you take a train,
- 9:38Speaker 2: they don't check your luggage. If you're going to smuggle
- 9:41Speaker 2: a gun or a bunch of guns, you got to
- 9:43Speaker 2: take the train. So that's the reason for that. He's
- 9:48Speaker 2: going to get charged with that. He's going to get
- 9:50Speaker 2: charged with that's a felony right there. Taking the firearms
- 9:53Speaker 2: across state lines, discharging a gun, they'll be all sorts
- 9:57Speaker 2: of charges. They'll charge with attempt at assassination of the president. Now,
- 10:05Speaker 2: the problem is Alan Dershowitz, the Great Attorney, argues that
- 10:11Speaker 2: you can go into court and argue that the crime
- 10:13Speaker 2: you're being accused of would be impossible to commit. And
- 10:17Speaker 2: he thinks that would be what the lawyer would do
- 10:20Speaker 2: in this case, that there was so much security that
- 10:22Speaker 2: you could get through the first layer and you could
- 10:24Speaker 2: shoot somebody in the second layer a secret serviceman. But
- 10:28Speaker 2: there's too many layers. You could never actually get to
- 10:30Speaker 2: the ballroom. So you can argue the crime of assassination
- 10:34Speaker 2: was impossible, and the Dershwitz points out there have been
- 10:38Speaker 2: cases and in some states, if you can prove it's impossible,
- 10:42Speaker 2: the charge gets dropped. Dershwitz said he even had a
- 10:44Speaker 2: case once where he argued that it was impossible to
- 10:46Speaker 2: do it and got the charge dropped. But no matter what,
- 10:52Speaker 2: he shot the secret service agent with intent to murder him,
- 10:54Speaker 2: so they got him on that. Now, though, always tell
- 10:59Speaker 2: you you know, you always hear, well, if you're charge
- 11:02Speaker 2: of presidential assassination, you'll never get out of jail. That's
- 11:05Speaker 2: not true. There's a lot of presidential assassins walking around
- 11:09Speaker 2: free right now. John Hinckley is not long is he
- 11:13Speaker 2: walking around free? He's like a singer with a guitar,
- 11:16Speaker 2: appearing in clubs. The two Gerald Ford assassins are out
- 11:21Speaker 2: walking around squeaky from who's the other one? The other
- 11:25Speaker 2: one at three names, Sarah Jane Moore. Sarah Jane Moore
- 11:29Speaker 2: was the other one. So there there's three presidential assassins
- 11:32Speaker 2: that are out and about walking walking around, so we'll
- 11:37Speaker 2: see his next court appearance is about bail. That'll be
- 11:42Speaker 2: on Thursday. Gets a bail hearing on Thursday. I can't
- 11:44Speaker 2: see anyway on earth he gets bail. That's hard to
- 11:48Speaker 2: even even picture. So now the thing is, will they
- 11:54Speaker 2: tone down the rhetoric. No, because they can't even acknowledge
- 11:59Speaker 2: the problem. Demos can't even admit to it. But here's
- 12:03Speaker 2: the guy who founded the Lincoln Project. Remember the guy
- 12:06Speaker 2: that founded the awful, stupid, anti American, creepy, weird Lincoln Project.
- 12:11Speaker 2: This is the founder. Listen to the kind of things
- 12:13Speaker 2: he was saying about Trump.
- 12:14Speaker 3: We know that Donald Trump is an existential threat to
- 12:17Speaker 3: our democracy and our nation and we have to stop him.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Yeah, and then you got I played to the montage
- 12:24Speaker 2: yesterday talking about go punch him in the face. Hakeem
- 12:27Speaker 2: Jeffrey said, we have to go to full all out warfare.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Warfare means shooting, means guns. That's what warfare means. Jeffries
- 12:36Speaker 2: will not admit to that.
- 12:37Speaker 4: We embrace the fact that everybody should take the temperature down.
- 12:40Speaker 4: We're just not going to be lectures by extremists on
- 12:44Speaker 4: the other side of the aisle who are looking directly
- 12:46Speaker 4: at the camera and then.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Lying, yeah, it's funny though, how they're all distorted and
- 12:53Speaker 2: you're an extremist, you maga people. You're an extremist because
- 12:57Speaker 2: you want secure border, you want lower ten access, you
- 13:02Speaker 2: want no men in the women's locker room. You're an extremist.
- 13:06Speaker 2: So these Democrats in their own head, they have no
- 13:10Speaker 2: idea that they're the most extreme radicals ever with their rhetoric.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Hakeem Jeffrey is a perfect example.
- 13:16Speaker 4: As it relates to anything that has been said, certainly
- 13:19Speaker 4: as it relates to the comment related to maximum warfare everywhere,
- 13:26Speaker 4: all the time in connection with the redistricting battle that
- 13:30Speaker 4: Republicans launched. I stand by it. You can continue to
- 13:35Speaker 4: criticize me for it. I don't give a damn about
- 13:38Speaker 4: your criticism.
- 13:43Speaker 2: That's why the midterms are important. You realize this guy
- 13:45Speaker 2: could be Speaker of the House. Speaker of the House.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Can you imagine you'll have an impeachment twice a day
- 13:52Speaker 2: to impeachment? Today will be going on with this guy,
- 13:55Speaker 2: so very very important. So I'm Donnie will greet the
- 13:58Speaker 2: King tomorrow? Is this? Yeah, here's mom, Donnie.
- 14:02Speaker 3: What we saw at the press correspondence Center is one
- 14:05Speaker 3: part of a very troubling reality across this country, which
- 14:09Speaker 3: is how political violence has become part of our politics.
- 14:13Speaker 3: And it is something that we are taking into consideration
- 14:16Speaker 3: whenever we are planning anything in our city. And I'm
- 14:18Speaker 3: fully confident in our city and in our police department
- 14:21Speaker 3: to keep New Yorker safe over the course of that.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Now, he really didn't say anything, but it's a good
- 14:26Speaker 2: trick if you might want to practice this, if you've
- 14:28Speaker 2: got to go to a job interview or you're trying
- 14:30Speaker 2: to impress somebody. He had nothing to say. Just talk
- 14:33Speaker 2: a little faster like this. And if you can talk
- 14:35Speaker 2: like him and talk very fast, it makes you sound
- 14:37Speaker 2: much smarter than you actually are, because somebody listening to
- 14:39Speaker 2: you say, well, let's be very smart. How can he
- 14:40Speaker 2: talk that fast and think that fast? And even though
- 14:42Speaker 2: you didn't say anything, you said absolutely nothing of any interest.
- 14:45Speaker 2: You're talking so fast. Try it. It works. Anyway, we
- 14:50Speaker 2: got a lot to get to today. We'll take some calls. Next.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten is
- 14:56Speaker 2: the number. Eight hundred three two one zero roh seven
- 15:00Speaker 2: ten
