- 0:23chickens. Hey everybody.
- 0:29Good morning from the poor. Watch because it's disgusting
- 0:33out there and I can't get out there.
- 0:35It's so dark and I can't get out there in time to get this up for
- 0:40you. So this morning, we are doing it
- 0:42from the porch can hear Raven off in the distance.
- 0:45I'm not that far from, but he's definitely letting me know that
- 0:50he's in there anyway. So today, we are talking about,
- 0:55are your actions consistent with the goals and Standards that you
- 1:01have set for yourself or your intentions and standards that
- 1:06you have set for yourself. Now this is an interesting
- 1:11again. I keep saying, you know, January
- 1:14is a very interesting time but we're coming up to that Mark of
- 1:18you've probably been working at this.
- 1:20You know? Today's the 23rd 24th, I forget
- 1:23what even day it is this moment and we're at that 21-day,
- 1:28period, that is where you're supposed to be able to create a
- 1:32new habit. Unfortunately, that information
- 1:35is not complete because it's really 21 days interrupts.
- 1:38The A pattern the next 21 to 30 days, scrambles it to a point
- 1:44where it's not got a hold on. You and then the third 21 to 30
- 1:50days, really kind of sets in place, the new habit, the new
- 1:54pattern, the new standard, whatever you'd like to call it.
- 1:57So it really takes 90 days to see the results that you're
- 2:01looking for and feel good that you're going to be able to stick
- 2:05with it. You know.
- 2:07There are plenty of exercise. Out there on the market that
- 2:10say, you've got to do it for 90 days.
- 2:12And when you do the 90-day research, it is all in your face
- 2:15that 90 days really, does shift things.
- 2:19So, the interesting thing about where we are right now in time,
- 2:25at this point, is our old behaviors, still have a grip on
- 2:29us. Our old behaviors, have not, let
- 2:32go yet. They have not moved to the back
- 2:34of the bus. Those emotions that drive us,
- 2:38those Just repetitive patterns they've been interrupted but
- 2:45they have not let go think of it like a toddler in a grocery
- 2:50store, wanting something and you say no we're not getting that
- 2:55and they pitch a fit and you and then they stop crying and you
- 2:58think okay? We're past that they're really
- 3:01not passed it. They're still going to ask you
- 3:03for something in the next aisle and the next style and the next
- 3:05aisle, and the next aisle and it doesn't matter.
- 3:08I remember my son And getting down to the point where he would
- 3:10just want to take zip ties out of the vegetable section because
- 3:16at least he had those little ties and he had something that
- 3:19he could get and I would laugh and I'd be like, all right well
- 3:22we started off really high and now we're at least down to
- 3:24little Zippy ties but it's it's like that.
- 3:28It's like your your patterns that have been with you for a
- 3:32long time, don't like to let go. So when you don't recognize that
- 3:36this takes your Fortitude right now to say no, I want this new
- 3:43identity, this new emotion, this new standard, this new pattern
- 3:47to take over. I have to push for it.
- 3:51I have to insist with myself. Nope, that's not what you said
- 3:56and there are lots of little things and little tricks that
- 3:59work, the one that I found were that works best for me, is that
- 4:03whole comment about? Well, I don't lie to myself
- 4:06because I don't want other people to Item.
- 4:09You know, my clients to lie to me, my family to lie, to me.
- 4:12Certainly don't want my teenage son to lie to me.
- 4:16So I have to hold the standard and the space and the energy to
- 4:21be consistent with myself because if I don't hold it and I
- 4:26lie to myself, how can we expect anybody else to tell me the
- 4:29truth? So it's incredibly important
- 4:32that you tap into that one if you're like me and you say I
- 4:36don't want people to lie to me, so don't don't lie to yourself.
- 4:39If you say you're going to do something, do it.
- 4:42Just hold yourself to the standard and when you hear
- 4:45yourself babbling with all the excuses, whether it's to get out
- 4:48of bed, whether it's to walk the steps, whether it's to not have
- 4:53the drink or whatever like, you know, I deserve it.
- 4:57You know, that is one that I hear so much, I deserve it.
- 5:01I deserve this. Okay, great, but it's not in
- 5:06line with what you said you wanted.
- 5:09So, if it's not really what you want, then you've got to go back
- 5:13to the beginning and revisit what you said you want because,
- 5:16which is it, do you want to be in a state of I deserve this or
- 5:20do you want to get what you want?
- 5:22It's really that simple. And it's not a question of what
- 5:25we deserve. It's a question of what we said
- 5:30we wanted in the long run and That's the piece of it and it is
- 5:35not easy to get things instantaneously.
- 5:39Interrupting patterns patterns are in place.
- 5:42They've been there for a long time and it takes work to get
- 5:45out of them. So, think about this.
- 5:48See, where your inconsistencies are showing up, because this is
- 5:51the time frame, this is the problem timeframe.
- 5:54This is when people fail, this is when they stop going to the
- 5:57gym. This is when, you know, you
- 5:58paying for the gym membership, but you're not going or you said
- 6:02you were going to read. Every morning, but you're not
- 6:04doing it or, you know, it doesn't matter what it is.
- 6:07It's just they stop showing up. So ask yourself that question
- 6:12and find out. Where am I being inconsistent
- 6:15right now? All right, my friends.
- 6:17I hope you have a very blessed day and I will see you tomorrow
- 6:20and be back with the chickens hopefully by
