- 0:12Speaker 1: what's happening at the courthouse. On KFM Mornings with Me.
- 0:18Speaker 2: All Right, my brother Emmy at in Belville yesterday. He's
- 0:22Speaker 2: always lurking, he's always lurching, and he's asking everybody one
- 0:28Speaker 2: simple question.
- 0:29Speaker 3: What are you doing at the courtowns today?
- 0:31Speaker 4: I mean, over my guys, aggravat.
- 0:35Speaker 3: What is aggravated for? Robbery?
- 0:37Speaker 4: Means whats some weapon?
- 0:40Speaker 3: What? What was the situation? What happened.
- 0:44Speaker 4: Me and my friend?
- 0:45Speaker 1: So?
- 0:45Speaker 3: Why did you do that?
- 0:48Speaker 4: Let you do stupid things.
- 0:50Speaker 5: But I mean, I see this a couple of weeks ago,
- 0:52Speaker 5: where you can't always blame anything everything on drugs.
- 0:58Speaker 4: Yes, do it's organizing, it's your choice.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Was it your first time?
- 1:03Speaker 4: That my first time?
- 1:05Speaker 6: Like?
- 1:05Speaker 3: How many times have you time?
- 1:07Speaker 4: Oh? I can't do it a lot of times? Have
- 1:11Speaker 4: you do it every day?
- 1:12Speaker 3: What? Every day?
- 1:13Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:14Speaker 4: Robbing people two to three years?
- 1:17Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a lot of robbery.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Yea robber?
- 1:20Speaker 3: Why why do.
- 1:21Speaker 2: You do that?
- 1:22Speaker 7: Circumstances went to I would you do? Get our own money?
- 1:26Speaker 4: You see?
- 1:27Speaker 3: But it's not your own money though. If you're robbing
- 1:29Speaker 3: someone else.
- 1:31Speaker 4: I understand, but you to find its job.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Is it easier to rob someone?
- 1:36Speaker 4: It's easier, much easier. You get you will get caught.
- 1:41Speaker 7: Have you been in jail before, Yes, many times, and
- 1:46Speaker 7: I get out again all the cases.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Yeah, no evidence against me.
- 1:51Speaker 3: You you also whether this case is really withdrawn?
- 1:56Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:57Speaker 4: Imagine what my accused is coming home now.
- 2:00Speaker 3: It seems like you were like a cat with nine lives.
- 2:04Speaker 7: There is evident video for everything, but the complain and
- 2:07Speaker 7: didn't get to quote.
- 2:09Speaker 5: So the person you stole from decided not to come
- 2:12Speaker 5: to quote and then they threw the case out. Yeah,
- 2:15Speaker 5: and how do you now feel now, Philip?
- 2:20Speaker 7: But one thing for sure, I'm not gonna do it again.
- 2:23Speaker 7: You see that before I never said before, no, I
- 2:27Speaker 7: won't do it again. I promised myself. I'm gonna find
- 2:31Speaker 7: men job that.
- 2:32Speaker 5: Actually makes me happy. To to your that somebody is
- 2:35Speaker 5: turning their life around.
- 2:36Speaker 7: Yeah, if you learned to welcome madam, I Fadam and
- 2:39Speaker 7: I just want to repay him and for everything.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Repay what I've done for you.
- 2:47Speaker 4: But I was to tell him thank you.
- 2:51Speaker 5: Yeah, and hopefully you make sure that you don't do
- 2:56Speaker 5: it again.
- 2:56Speaker 4: I want to make sure. I'm gonna make sure.
- 2:59Speaker 3: I'm happy about that.
- 3:00Speaker 5: Thank you very much for your time and so, and
- 3:02Speaker 5: I appreciate it. What are you doing at the court
- 3:05Speaker 5: house today?
- 3:06Speaker 8: I'm filing a notice of intention to defend for a
- 3:08Speaker 8: medical ball.
- 3:09Speaker 5: Unpaid intention to defend. What are you defending?
- 3:13Speaker 8: Okay, So I've been served with the notice essentially to
- 3:16Speaker 8: pay an outstanding medical bowl seven hundred just under seven thousand.
- 3:22Speaker 8: So my daughter experienced the febrile seizure and she was
- 3:25Speaker 8: admitted to hospital, but the nurses at hospital labeled it
- 3:29Speaker 8: as epilepsy instead of the feebrile seizure, and so the
- 3:33Speaker 8: medical aid refused to pay the bowls because they're saying
- 3:37Speaker 8: it wasn't an emergency, it was a predetermined condition, which
- 3:40Speaker 8: it wasn't. So I was in contact with the pediatrician
- 3:44Speaker 8: to write the motivation obviously to now have the.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Ball paid by the medical aid.
- 3:49Speaker 8: Somehow there was a mess between the doctor and the hospital,
- 3:54Speaker 8: and so essentially the medical ball was unpaid and I.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Was served with a notice to now.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Buy that ball.
- 3:59Speaker 8: Yeah, this is your photo exactly, but that's why, Yeah,
- 4:02Speaker 8: because I refuse to pay a ball that's not mine
- 4:04Speaker 8: to pay I pay medical aid every month, so medical
- 4:08Speaker 8: aid must cover the bowl.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I have noticed that a lot of the
- 4:11Speaker 3: time they are co.
- 4:13Speaker 8: Payments for sure, and with this as well, but not
- 4:16Speaker 8: in the case of a medical emergency. So my daughter
- 4:19Speaker 8: was seven months all at the time, so I don't know,
- 4:22Speaker 8: we know who would have determined that it's epilepsic, So
- 4:24Speaker 8: they shouldn't be any co payment from my side because
- 4:27Speaker 8: my medical aid scheme covers emergencies and in that case
- 4:31Speaker 8: it was exactly that.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Yeah, but now how old is your daughter now?
- 4:35Speaker 5: A yeah?
- 4:35Speaker 8: No, so yes, I've been fighting this battle for the
- 4:39Speaker 8: last eleven months, so yes, and now I've officially been.
- 4:43Speaker 5: Served the previous story I had now aggravated the soul, Yes,
- 4:48Speaker 5: aggravated the robbody and all of these things. Yeah, and
- 4:51Speaker 5: they're coming to knock on your door for a medical
- 4:54Speaker 5: aid bowl.
- 4:56Speaker 8: I think what's worse is it's a medical bowl of
- 4:58Speaker 8: under seven thousand, and there are people that are committing
- 5:01Speaker 8: schemes and corruption for a lot more than that. So
- 5:04Speaker 8: to come and knock on my door for something that
- 5:06Speaker 8: can be resolved between the hospital and the medical aid
- 5:09Speaker 8: I felt absolutely ridiculous.
- 5:11Speaker 3: So who is actually like pushing this is the medical hospital.
- 5:15Speaker 8: The ball is outstanding with hospital. Yeah, so the Pedia
- 5:19Speaker 8: tradition that saw to my baby at the time was
- 5:22Speaker 8: meant to write the motivation going to the hospital and
- 5:25Speaker 8: that never seemed to get to the hospital so the
- 5:27Speaker 8: hospital could claim from the medical aid.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Oh where is the Spedia tradition now?
- 5:31Speaker 8: Yeah, I've been trying to call them, but unavailable at
- 5:34Speaker 8: the moment. So yeah, I only have to todays to
- 5:37Speaker 8: provide proof as to why I obviously didn't.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Pay this ball.
- 5:43Speaker 4: I do hope so.
- 5:44Speaker 3: And obviously there's different sort of tiers of schemes, all
- 5:47Speaker 3: which t are you on.
- 5:49Speaker 8: Well, at the time, I was at the highest because
- 5:51Speaker 8: my husband and I were planning on having a baby.
- 5:53Speaker 4: So I've since reduced it, but whilst.
- 5:56Speaker 8: My baby had the seizure, I was still in the
- 5:58Speaker 8: highest category.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Keep fighting man.
- 6:00Speaker 8: Thanks well do And maybe it's because I downgraded that
- 6:02Speaker 8: they tried to punish me.
- 6:04Speaker 5: Just perhaps know, but this kind of case A lot
- 6:07Speaker 5: of the time, these hospitals are giving wrong codes to
- 6:11Speaker 5: the to the medical aid and then you end up
- 6:13Speaker 5: paying more.
- 6:14Speaker 8: Yeah, but I refuse to buy all.
- 6:16Speaker 5: The best memo. I hope that they whatever needs to
- 6:19Speaker 5: be done, not.
- 6:19Speaker 3: To be done.
- 6:20Speaker 8: Thank you so much.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Keep defending your.
- 6:23Speaker 4: Child so well.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Do by all seems unnecessary for seven grand what is
- 6:29Speaker 2: the that that's an attorney's feet per hour.
- 6:32Speaker 6: But it's also about the principle for her, and I'm
- 6:35Speaker 6: so proud that she's she's fighting. It jives to actually,
- 6:39Speaker 6: you know, take on this fight because she's been through
- 6:42Speaker 6: a lot of child had a seizure at seven months, Yeah,
- 6:45Speaker 6: which it's already traumatic.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Now you have to deal with this.
- 6:47Speaker 2: So she said it was a few brouse seizure that
- 6:50Speaker 2: the child had, which is just like as from a
- 6:53Speaker 2: hard temperature. Can we flu give me ton Solladis it
- 6:58Speaker 2: was epilepsy? Yeah?
- 7:00Speaker 3: Yeah, scary.
- 7:01Speaker 2: I've seen one of those.
- 7:02Speaker 6: And you don't sound like you believed the escabanga her story.
- 7:07Speaker 5: You know that he's going to tell you life around
- 7:10Speaker 5: you're robbing people every day for three years.
- 7:12Speaker 2: I thought he was going to take your phone, and you.
- 7:14Speaker 5: Know what, I was holding my phone very tightly. I'm
- 7:17Speaker 5: not going to lie to you. One of the few
- 7:19Speaker 5: I was as I was interviewing him, I was thinking
- 7:23Speaker 5: to myself, this guy might just grab my phone in
- 7:27Speaker 5: the he's a career robber every day, every day, and
- 7:32Speaker 5: and and I'm standing like this, and I'm holding my phone,
- 7:35Speaker 5: and I just scripted a little bit more tighter, and
- 7:38Speaker 5: I was like, I need to get the story.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Oh like a wal correspondent.
- 7:48Speaker 1: In the trenches.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Yeah, this man needs needs protection and he needs danger pain.
- 7:53Speaker 3: I will not lie to you.
- 7:55Speaker 5: This is exactly what I was thinking when I was
- 7:57Speaker 5: interviewing this guy. And he's standing on the road lately,
- 8:00Speaker 5: on the pavement, and I'm thinking, if this happens now
- 8:03Speaker 5: while I'm recording, my phone's gone.
- 8:06Speaker 3: I have no stories. How am I going to get
- 8:08Speaker 3: more stories?
- 8:10Speaker 2: Now?
- 8:10Speaker 3: You the story? So luckily it didn't happen that way.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Well, good job for me.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Thank you very much.
- 8:18Speaker 2: We appreciate you. I appreciate this, putting your life on
- 8:22Speaker 2: the lamb for the best tea for us to drink.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Lack a sweet Okay, it's uh, it's eight o'clock.
- 8:35Speaker 4: It's got two minutes.
- 8:36Speaker 3: What are you going to do? Some years?
- 8:38Speaker 2: Half of Illy Golden
