  Speaker 1: is a gentleman, you know. I want to I want

  Speaker 1: to point that out to you. God is an absolute gentleman.

  Speaker 1: He will not come in unless he's invited. He don't

  Speaker 1: just barge into your life. He gives us the power

  Speaker 1: of choice. You know. If you say you got it,

  Speaker 1: I don't need you, he lets you have it. If

  Speaker 1: you say I need you, come see about me. He

  Speaker 1: right there. It's just a real simple thing, man. So

  Speaker 1: always say to people this, if you've gotten yourself in

  Speaker 1: the something, and please know I have. I I was stuck.

  Speaker 1: it past this one. But then if I don't make

  Speaker 1: it past it, what's gonna happen? And then I held

  Speaker 1: on to this little thing that my mother kept talking

  Speaker 1: to me about. She said, sometimes some when you ain't

  Speaker 1: got nothing else in you, just hope. She said, just

  Speaker 1: hope It'll be all right, you know. And what I've

  Speaker 1: learned in my life is that hope is the beginning
• 1:35
  Speaker 1: of faith. Hope is just is their possibility out there
• 1:41
  Speaker 1: for me. I show hope, something happened. See hope. Hope

  Speaker 1: is okay, man, Because like I say, for me, the
• 1:52
  Speaker 1: way I've lived my life, hope was the beginning of faith.

  Speaker 1: It was just the idea. It's just the thought that
• 1:59
  Speaker 1: something could change for me, that something could be a

  Speaker 1: little bit different from me, that maybe, man, just maybe
• 2:07
  Speaker 1: for some reason, I could be saved, I could be rescued,
• 2:11
  Speaker 1: things could turn around, it could hit any other direction.

  Speaker 1: Maybe I can quit messing up. Maybe somebody will forgive me,

  Speaker 1: Maybe somebody will will just say all right. I don't know,

  Speaker 1: but I can't count the times I've been in that position.

  Speaker 1: But then once I hope a little bit, and then
• 2:29
  Speaker 1: I remember also my mother, because she was a Sunday
• 2:32
  Speaker 1: school teacher, she taught me the most valuable lesson I've
• 2:35
  Speaker 1: ever learned in my life. Nothing has been greater in
• 2:39
  Speaker 1: my life than my faith. She taught me to pray.

  Speaker 1: Mama used to say, when it get real, dog for
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: your son, prayer change is things, she say, when you
• 2:47
  Speaker 1: seem like you lost and you can't find your way,
• 2:51
  Speaker 1: stop and pray, she said, because prayer change is things.

  Speaker 1: You know, when you get a point in your life

  Speaker 1: when you've done all you can do and you can't

  Speaker 1: do no more and you just don't know what to

  Speaker 1: do next, she says, stop sh pray and combine that

  Speaker 1: prayer with that hope that you got, she said, because
• 3:12
  Speaker 1: that hope is to beginning of faith, she said. If

  Speaker 1: you pray just hoping, she saying, to God come through
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: for you. That'll give you confidence that he can do
• 3:21
  Speaker 1: it again. And then after a while, you quit hoping,
• 3:25
  Speaker 1: she's saying, you start believing. She saying, that's when you're
• 3:27
  Speaker 1: on to something. If you can turn that hope into belief,
• 3:32
  Speaker 1: that hope into faith, the ability to believe in something
• 3:37
  Speaker 1: that you can't see. But the key though the faith
• 3:40
  Speaker 1: is you're believing in something that you can't see see
• 3:45
  Speaker 1: hoping a little bit different from me now, I'm pretty sure,
• 3:47
  Speaker 1: like I say, oftentimes to tell a lot of people
• 3:49
  Speaker 1: who can explain this thing a lot better than I
• 3:52
  Speaker 1: can to you. But just from my side of it,

  Speaker 1: being as real as I can be, rich you See,

  Speaker 1: hope helps. Man. If you ain't strong enough to have faith,

  Speaker 1: have hope, and then if you pray with some hope
• 4:05
  Speaker 1: and God answers your prayer, then that hope gains a
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: little confidence, and after a while that confidence becomes faith.

  Speaker 1: Now I ain't just hoping, but I'm believing. I'm believing
• 4:18
  Speaker 1: in something that I cannot see. Faith has been the
• 4:24
  Speaker 1: key to my entire existence, even when I didn't have
• 4:29
  Speaker 1: any It was faith, as I look back on it,
• 4:33
  Speaker 1: that has gotten me here, and not just faith, but
• 4:37
  Speaker 1: my faith. See, you will only get to where you're
• 4:41
  Speaker 1: going in your life based on it, your faith. See.

  Speaker 1: A lot of people get the word faith confused, like
• 4:49
  Speaker 1: what's your faith? And then they start going down this
• 4:52
  Speaker 1: whole list of all these different religions out here. But

  Speaker 1: really an essence, man, when I talk to people about faith,
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: I'm talking to you your belief. How much do you

  Speaker 1: believe in the unseen? How much do you believe in
• 5:09
  Speaker 1: the things you can't see? How much do you believe
• 5:12
  Speaker 1: in the impossible? How much do you believe see? Because
• 5:18
  Speaker 1: faith is the belief in things that you cannot see.

  Speaker 1: Faith is the core of all that is happening to me. Today.
• 5:30
  Speaker 1: It is the faith that I have in my relationship
• 5:32
  Speaker 1: with God that enables me to just oftentimes, if I
• 5:39
  Speaker 1: stay on the right course and believe a certain way
• 5:42
  Speaker 1: and act a certain way, his blessings just poor. They
• 5:48
  Speaker 1: just come. And it comes in a lot of little
• 5:51
  Speaker 1: ways too. I've started to notice, see it ain't just
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: a lot of people think blessings is money. Nah, man,
• 5:57
  Speaker 1: that ain't it. It's coverage. It's every time my plane
• 6:01
  Speaker 1: lands safe. It's every time they predict bad weather and
• 6:06
  Speaker 1: I get up in the sky and it don't be
• 6:08
  Speaker 1: no bad weather. You know, this is this is favor.

  Speaker 1: These are blessings that get poured out to me. Somebody
• 6:16
  Speaker 1: call me and offer me something, not money, but an opportunity,
• 6:21
  Speaker 1: you know. Somebody say, hey, man, I don't know, but
• 6:25
  Speaker 1: I sent this to you. I thought you might be
• 6:27
  Speaker 1: interested in it. Somebody will send me a scripture, or
• 6:30
  Speaker 1: somebody will send me something that's favor, and it always
• 6:35
  Speaker 1: comes at a time when I need it the most.

  Speaker 1: That's favor that's pouring out blessings. Now. I'm also the
• 6:43
  Speaker 1: recipient of a lot of other blessings too. You know,
• 6:47
  Speaker 1: I've been blessed with health. That's amazing blessing. Man, I've
• 6:50
  Speaker 1: been blessed with a spirit of not quitting. I've been
• 6:55
  Speaker 1: blessed with the ability to shoulder huge amounts responsibility. See,

  Speaker 1: blessings come a lot of ways. But once you tie
• 7:05
  Speaker 1: in to God, once you tie in and you start
• 7:10
  Speaker 1: doing the best you can do, and you start asking
• 7:13
  Speaker 1: for Him to make you a better person, to help
• 7:16
  Speaker 1: shape and mold you into the kind of man or
• 7:19
  Speaker 1: person that he wants you to be. You be amazed
• 7:23
  Speaker 1: what God can do with you. Man, if you just
• 7:25
  Speaker 1: invite me in and allow him to be a part
• 7:28
  Speaker 1: of your life. I mean, what you got to lose
• 7:30
  Speaker 1: out there? Come on, if you're sitting in the cell
• 7:33
  Speaker 1: this morning, why would you not change? You have a
• 7:37
  Speaker 1: chance to turn your life around with a relationship with God.

  Speaker 1: What you're waiting on? Are you gonna just keep doing

  Speaker 1: it like that? Huh? Really? Come on, man, why would

  Speaker 1: you do that to yourself? Why would you not allow
• 7:50
  Speaker 1: God to be a part of your life so you
• 7:52
  Speaker 1: can get the way he wants you to be. God

  Speaker 1: got some big plans for you. If he didn't, you
