Put in the back fat an armchair quarterbread after Yeah, I know there's no
0:04
backfat. I want to thank God. I want to thank the Lord God
0:09
because it's not really up to me, it's up to him. Everybody likes
0:12
to feel useful. Mecca the world go around. Next, this is the
0:17
Wheelhouse. Welcome, Welcome, everybody. This is your Tuesday night edition.
0:28
I tried to remind myself it was Tuesday night. It's your Tuesday night edition
0:31
of The Wheelhouse. You're in blog Talk Radio and r FM Live. Thank
0:33
you for tuning in. I'm Bower, I am the sweet Nasty Chris Cause
0:37
and if you told me it was Wednesday, I'd probably agree. I was.
0:40
I was unsure was Monday? I was complete? I might agree with
0:44
that too. I was completely unsure of what today was. But welcome,
0:48
Welcome to the Friday edition of The Wheelhouse. Oh then, never before her
0:53
Friday edition of the Wheelhouse. Uh well, it's it's good to have you
0:56
all with us. Coming up on the show today. I would have to
0:58
say, the godfather of extreme wrestling, the godfather of uh, let me
1:03
bust my head open while I'm in the ring, Terry Funk Terrence as he
1:08
was born, also known by the name Chainsaw Charlie. Yes, brief sent
1:14
in the WWF days there Chainsaw Cactus Jack. I'm gotta we gotta find out
1:19
what names were turned down? What names? He just said, all right,
1:22
that's retarded the cactus. Sorry. The Chainsaw Charlie character was basically Terry
1:26
Funk with a pantyhoe over his head like he was like he was a guy
1:30
trying to rob a bank kind of a then basically yeah, and they had
1:34
put some form of Freddy Krueger slasher flick character. Yeah, and he came
1:38
down with a chainsaw, would it would well, it wouldn't be if he
1:42
came down with a billy club, it wouldn't work. I don't know why
1:45
they didn't go with Terry Funk. Everybody knew it was Terry Funk. They
1:47
would refer to him as Terry Funk. It was his alter ego Wow storyline
1:51
mode, but it was soon dumped after a while. There, Wow Charlie
1:55
is He'll tell you. In preparation, last night I watched some ww WE
2:00
raw Sorry to hear that. M M, well, so was that did
2:04
you see my did you see my twin brother Shamus? I did? I
2:07
did I was, really I was. I was rooting for him. It
2:09
was root for him. I saw the announcement that at Night of Champions it's
2:13
going to be a six pack match. Oh boy, Yeah? Is that
2:15
gonna feature? Will that be guest hosted by the situation? Probably based on
2:22
the amount of twittering he did today. Probably if they pay him enough.
2:25
As I know they can't afford j out to host, It's so probably not.
2:30
Probably not. I did see. I do have a question for you
2:34
before we get Terry Funk on the on the horn here, Jeff Peck,
2:38
What is a miss? Miss? Miss? A wrestler? Is a miss?
2:44
Miss? Is a wrestler? He was actually started out in Real World
2:46
New York. When they went back to New York twenty years later or whatever
2:50
it was, and I went through the Tough Enough Show. If you guys
2:53
remember that the Real Boy Program, became a wrestler. Uh. Miss is
2:58
basically the first three letters of Mike Mzannen's last name, which is his room
3:01
name. He goes by the miss. The miss. Ah, I see,
3:06
do you feel better now? Caused? Do you feel a little?
3:08
I can't say any of that helped. No, No, I can't say
3:12
that. No, now, how many Tough Enough did they have? They
3:15
had two on MTV and then they did one that was like part of SmackDown
3:20
for a while that never really did well. I actually liked the Tough Enough
3:22
shows. I thought they showed a little bit more of an inner insight to
3:24
the wrestling rings. And now they have not only a women's champion, but
3:29
a diva's champion. There's two ladies. Because there's two brands. You have
3:32
two you have two world heavyweight champions as well, because you have the w
3:37
WB champion and a World Heavyweight champs correct, and then on the other side,
3:40
and they want to make sure that they keep those separate on each one
3:43
of the two brands that they have. For no good, God damn,
3:46
there at one time they had three brands I know, yeah, probably even
3:52
four. Well yeah, you look at it, because wasn't there the ec
3:57
W one as well, Because they keep kind of going back and forth on
4:00
actually whether or not they want ECW, right, they haven't figured that part
4:04
of it out. I guess they had it because then well, I mean,
4:08
they had the WWE, and they had the SmackDown, and they had
4:12
WCW and they had ECW. Gotcha, they had one, right, So
4:15
they had all of those and then found a way to combine them and then
4:17
split them up again. And now they're doing a show called NXT, which
4:20
is for like younger wrestlers that are toddlers. Yep, they're toddlers. That's
4:25
awesome. Look up, schoolers beat it in backyard. That's awesome. Se
4:30
fifth graders just beating the Jesus out of each other with a baseball bat.
4:35
All right, are we ready to give Terry Funk a call? Sir?
4:39
I believe now, didn't he his brother? He and his brother were one
4:42
of the better tag teams. Tory Funk Junior, him, the Funk Brothers,
4:46
the Funk Brothers all favors. There we go, the One and Only
4:50
Terry Funk. Terry, how are you, sir? I'm doing okay.
4:56
I'm not sure I'm the one and only anymore. I'm the one in lonely
5:02
l O M E L W. Well, we were just talking about we
5:06
were just rolling through memories of Terry Funk, and I was I was remembering
5:12
you and the brother. First of all, I always remember the Funk Brothers
5:15
as being for me, one of the first tag teams I can remember back
5:18
in the day of just being the dominant coming to the ring, like We're
5:21
just going to beat your ass. And that was that was the coolest thing
5:26
at the time. Rather than have I don't know, go to some horrible
5:29
gimmicky the Killer Bees or the Rougeaux Brothers or any of that kind of crap.
5:33
There was just the Funk Brothers. They came in and they were gonna
5:35
beat your ass. Silly, done and done, you know. It was
5:40
it was a wonderful time and a wonderful period in wrestling. And that it
5:44
was amazing because there was so many regions in the country, you know,
5:46
and it was so easy to play region against region, you know. And
5:53
there was the Yankees up there and they would come to Texas, you know,
5:56
and the Texans would go to New York and you know, it would
6:00
just worked out wonderful. You And that was a wonderful time period in the
6:03
world wrestling. It was thirty what thirty six different organization, wow, thirty
6:10
six different groups and wrestlers around the country. And it was a heck of
6:14
a lot of fun. Now, Terry, Terry, how I loved I
6:17
loved it fan and uh and I'm sure the guys love it. Now and
6:21
I think that they it's uh a bit different than it was before. And
6:28
uh and it should be different. It's what the fans wanted to be.
6:31
Looking back now, I believe what are you? Are you sixty six?
6:34
Now? Is am I doing a math correct on this? No? I'm
6:38
one hundred and five one hundred and five. You know I knew it was
6:40
somewhere in that forty year range. Yeah, you you were, you were
6:44
close. I was close. I mean I was on I get as old
6:46
as you peel, aren't you? I didn't my calculators and five is that?
6:50
Is that like an insight? My one hundred and five is like I've
6:55
had my body peep to hell, so new all it goes you there's in
7:00
the ring. I got one hundred and five year old body. There you
7:02
go. Numerically you're at sixty six, but your body if we did a
7:05
bone marrow test, it would definitely be dust, is what you're trying to
7:09
say. Oh it would be scary. Uh. Now, looking back,
7:13
would you would you have said, when you're one of the first couple of
7:15
times that you walked into the ring and you were wrestling, or the Funk
7:18
Brothers getting there, would you say that, looking forward to age sixty six,
7:21
that you would still be wrestling or is this something that you thought for
7:26
sure you would have been done with a few years ago. Well, you
7:29
know, as I'm not really wrestling at sixty six, I think I am
7:32
nobody else. But no, no, I really haven't wrestled in about a
7:39
year now, you know. And uh, I don't think that I would
7:42
go back in the ring again. You know, I think I've got enough
7:45
sense. You know. The last time, oh, I went over to
7:48
Japan and had a great time over there and was in a six man tag
7:53
and it was in December or something like That's that was the last time I'm
7:59
going over there. I think the last time over here was whenever I was
8:03
in New York and I went up to New York for a show and it
8:07
was ECWS show and I can't remember when it was, you know, And
8:13
I think it was me and h somebody against Edge and somebody Edge and Foley
8:20
and and myself and Tommy Dreamer. There you go, look at that Edge
8:24
and Folly. But what was wonderful about it, though, was uh I
8:26
was sixty five at a time and it was still the best match on the
8:31
card. That night. Nice. That wasn't bad. That's gotta be a
8:35
good feeling. I mean, you walk away from you walk away, So
8:39
I have some good guys in a ring are contributed. Sure, Sure,
8:43
that makes it a little bit easier to have some of those guys around you
8:45
too, to lift you up on that left. Absolutely, do you do
8:50
you still have as much passion for the entertainment of wrestling now as you did
8:54
when you first got into the biz. I've got a minute passion for for
9:03
wrestling as a whole, I really do, you know, and and and
9:07
certain parts of it. I don't have compassion for, you know. I
9:11
mean, uh, let me explain myself a bit as uh, I'm not
9:16
in I don't have a great deal of passion. And this is not meant
9:20
bad or anything, but I think that, uh, wrestling should always be
9:26
an extension A wrestler should always be an extension of his own personality. Okay,
9:31
And I think that uh, actors aren't wrestlers wrestlers, and wrestlers aren't
9:39
actors. Wrestlers are wrestlers. And uh, I'm not really fond of of
9:46
of as much control as they put on their their product as they do in
9:52
New york Uh. I think the individuals should be given a bit more control
9:58
and be able to be themselves a bit more instead of portraying the characters they
10:03
do. I think RLHS accomplishes that. Agreed. Agreed. I feel like
10:09
there's i the different Ring of Honor events that I have been to. It
10:13
doesn't feel forced, it doesn't feel here's this incredible gimmick we're gonna throw out
10:18
with this guy dressed in a gold lamay one piece suit and has gold face
10:22
paint on and is slightly gay acting, and we're just gonna run him out
10:26
there because we think for some reason the part of the audience missing this and
10:31
they need this. It just feels like and he's gonna say this and this
10:35
and this, Yes, but what would you know? It really takes the
10:39
identity away from you know, it takes what I've known through the years as
10:46
a wrestler. It takes a bit of that identity away from you know.
10:50
Yeah, and cause, but you know that you've got guys too. You
10:52
know, you've got your edges, and you've got your you know, you've
10:56
got your undertakers, and you've got guys who can can perform so well you
11:01
know, uh, and do and you've got your guys got you've got your
11:05
guys in Roah. I think it's a little uh, you know, I
11:09
like it. It's where it's not so U predicted as far as the company
11:16
is concerned either, right, right, that's so predictable, you know.
11:20
I mean the matches aren't nothing is you know, I mean go to Roah.
11:24
It's the guy on a second match is trying to bust his ass and
11:28
have a better match than the last match. Yes, you know, and
11:31
that's true. And U and when you when you watch that that card and
11:37
you're there for the entire show. First of all, you're getting it entire
11:39
you're getting like really three shows in one show. When you're there, you
11:41
get an incredible performance out of everybody that's there. They're there, they're busting
11:46
their ass. But but the thing that I like best, I think this
11:48
goes to what you're saying, Terry. Is it you it's believable. You
11:52
believe in the people that are walking from the ring and into the ring.
11:54
It's not some over the top conceptualized sat down for the last six months and
12:00
said, well, we've got to have somebody fill this character's void. Let's
12:03
just throw it in there and see if it sticks for this guy, even
12:05
though it may be nothing like him whatsoever. I'm in a hundred percent agreement
12:11
with you. Gotchau So to the Sorry power Terry, to that point in
12:18
today's wrestling. You've been involved for so long, do you think ultimately Vince
12:24
McMahon and that brand is right for wrestling? In the costumes, the characters,
12:33
the writing, is that ultimately good for wrestling? You know? I
12:37
really don't know, you know, I mean it can it be? Is
12:41
it the best? I think it's good for what they are producing. I
12:43
think they put producer good show, I really do. I mean, you
12:46
watch the thing and it's got it's got a pizzazz and a class to it,
12:52
you know. But I mean then you look over at the other side.
12:54
You know, it's the other extreme and what is the other string,
12:58
you know, the other stream as the UFCD n EM. Yeah, you
13:01
know I mean that. Uh, And you watch these guys and uh and
13:07
then you look at Roh and I truly believe our ohs are somewhere in between.
13:11
I couldn't agree more. And uh, And I think it's a I
13:16
think it's a wonderful tweener that everybody should take a look at. And I
13:20
think that uh another thing that is that is very smart, which I predicted
13:24
a long time ago. But uh, I don't know if you've watched newspapers
13:28
in a way they have gone. But newspapers are in a great deal of
13:33
trouble right now. Yeah, And the reason why is because they've become obsolete.
13:41
And what has made them obsolete is what internet, right, you know?
13:46
And I think that again as I'm sounding like some kind of a pool
13:50
up here trying to you know, give talk like our h has all of
13:56
his ass and everything, but they've got I'm telling you that they've got good
14:00
things going for them. And I think that whenever you can go ahead and
14:03
put them on that Internet and go ahead and get a pay per view out
14:05
of Internet, I think if that's smart. I think it's original. I
14:09
think it's something that's uh has a new life to it, you know,
14:15
I truly do, you know, And I think that uh, and I
14:18
think that they are something special for going out there and uh traveling that road
14:24
in that avenue. It's something fresh, it's something different, it's something new.
14:28
And I think they've got a great group. I mean, I don't
14:35
think it uh by by any means, Can anybody go ahead and say,
14:39
hey, these guys aren't going to make it, or hey, these guys
14:43
are Hey, these guys are only going to go this far. They can't
14:48
get any bigger than that. I mean, there is uh give it.
14:50
Let's let's let's look back at five years from now, you know, and
14:56
hopefully as we uh we see these guys and and given us uh and in
15:01
a tweener terry you were terry, you were very interesting. Tween area is
15:05
a tween area between the two extremes. One extreme is uh is a ww
15:11
E and the other extreme is ufcn n M A terry. You were very
15:16
instrumental in the beginning there of ECW in the mid nineties. Do you see
15:20
any comparisons from ECW to roh what sure I do? Sure, I do
15:24
absolutely, you know? And uh uh what happened to ECW though, is
15:30
uh you know they forgot what what was meant by the word extreme just through
15:37
evolving. But extreme at first was a bunch of guys out there busting their
15:43
asses to give you the best match that they were physically capable of doing.
15:50
And it wasn't done with with garbage cans and pails and other stuff. And
15:56
uh, but you know, I mean uh, and I don't mean unfortun
16:00
and maybe they needed it or whatever. I mean, but they went the
16:04
other route towards you end. And I think that that was the wrong road
16:08
to travel, you know. I mean, we all have to have our
16:11
extreme matches. You know that too, but you have to build it on
16:15
a foundation. And that up there was built on a foundation of guys busting
16:22
their asses in the rings. But it's just like wrestling this today. You
16:26
keep on going with the stipulations, you know, I mean, all right,
16:33
let's have this stipulation. All right, we're pretty soon you're drawing out
16:37
of stipulations and you're not drawing with your right Well, and I know for
16:40
you personally, you had been in I don't know how many, but I
16:45
know of at least two or three that I can kund of one hand retirement
16:47
matches that you were personally involved. And it seems to me, oh absolutely,
16:51
I'm going to have as many more as I can't. It seems to
16:55
me that's been the big one of the big draws. Let's have a retirement
16:57
matchine called the end of the career. Here. But it never It's like
17:00
kiss going on another reunion tour. It happens every single year. I know.
17:03
I often thought about going in the ring and turning heel by going ahead
17:07
and go and say, all right, I'm tiring, you know this,
17:10
This's gonna be my last match, and I'm passionate a hat uh huh.
17:14
Anybody that's got a buck out there, put it in there for me,
17:17
because I'm not gonna be back, you know, throw pass a hat around
17:21
to say, jeez, you know, thirty seven dollars forty three shins?
17:25
What the hell are you people? Matched? I can't live on that.
17:30
That won't even get me home tonight. I won't even retire. I won't
17:33
even that won't even buy me to the chicks pack of beer anymore. At
17:38
the bar we are, we're talking with the legendary Funk. He will be
17:42
signing autographs at the Ring of Honor Glory by Honor nine at the Manhattan Center.
17:48
Band there and looking forward you know, as uh it's been a long
17:52
times. I was on a Rlah show and uh I am looking so word
18:00
to it, you know. But I but I I I hear about their
18:03
boys all the time, you know, and uh, they've got some great
18:07
talent and uh continually you see him robbing that talent, yes, yeah,
18:15
and then going to bigger you know. Uh and I shouldn't I shouldn't say
18:19
bigger places. But they buy them out. Well I would say, well,
18:22
well, we can all a grease bigger salary. That's right. I
18:26
think that's great that they buy them out, you know. I mean,
18:29
but uh, uh, they're becoming the the the life blood of the other
18:34
of the rest of the industries. Well, Terry, let me ask you.
18:37
Let me ask you this a lie. I mean, they're they're the
18:40
life blood of wrestling. If you look at wrestling and you look what's come
18:45
out of ROAH and a lot of the guys, and not all of them,
18:48
not all of them, but many of them have been uh formerly ROH
18:55
stars. Yeah. Let let me ask you this. If you right now,
18:57
if if you had the opportunity, you were in the Ring of Honor
19:00
locker room and you knew that the word was that somebody that's in that Ring
19:03
of Honor locker room is going to be getting an offer from the w w
19:07
E and Vince McMahon tomorrow to come join their organization. What's the bit of
19:11
advice that you give to that individual, whether you know it's them individually or
19:15
not, you're just talking to the whole group. What's the bit of advice
19:18
that you give to a young wrestler today working his ass off and ring of
19:21
honor and here comes the opportunity there's going to be an opportunity around the corner
19:26
for w W. What's the advice based upon your experience that you hand off
19:29
to these kids? Son, don't burn any bridges. What goes around comes
19:37
around, gotcha, ter we were talking about, you do it with dignity,
19:44
you do it with honor, You do it you if it's better for
19:48
you, then I mean, I'm not trying to you know, you have
19:52
to look as a wrestler, what does uh you know, because you have
19:56
a limited career and even much more limited now than whenever I was in it.
20:03
Seriously, I mean I'm not gonna try to, you know. I
20:07
mean, I think absolutely we did more wrestling than what has done today.
20:11
But the physicalness in the rain is just it takes its toll on you.
20:19
In any of the organizations, you know, and uh, and I know
20:26
our oh is uh damn, I mean they are very physical in anything,
20:30
and they have to be. That is why oh is uh is And I
20:34
say I would like to be looking at it in ten years from now because
20:38
it's a very uh physical form of wrestling and I think it. I think
20:44
it's uh very catching well and I like, I like, just like it's
20:49
just like the measles. You know, as long as as long as you're
20:53
in that locker room given out advice, you're bringing your tights, are you?
20:56
You're bringing your tides into the show, right, Terry, No,
21:00
I'm not. Yeah, Cornett might want me to bring mine? How would
21:07
I would have if I could get ahold of that? Lee? Allot go
21:10
ahead and bring who was the guy Jeff the last one we went to who
21:14
got his head smashed to the table that just didn't look right. Eddie Kingston
21:18
was in a great match that we saw and he got his head plowed through
21:22
the table that it looked like everybody was scared after that after the connection hit
21:26
and I never did hear what happened to him if he was okay from the
21:29
whole to switch. But you want to talk about a physical show, Ring
21:32
of Honors got it front to back. They're gonna be September eleventh Manhattan Center
21:36
of New York City. Terry Funk will be there as well. Terry,
21:38
you were talking aboutfore about ECW. I'm gonna be rooting for those rooting for
21:42
the guys. Yet he's not putting his head through it to any more tables.
21:45
He's done with the table head putting. You know, the only guy
21:48
that I'd want to go ahead and beat the hell out. I used to
21:55
hate that little pastor. Do you have any Do you have any good stories
21:59
about James Cornette? What's that? Do you have any good stories about working
22:03
with Cornette over the years? Do I have good feelings about him? Did
22:07
I have? Fine? How could I have good feelings about Cornette? Tennis
22:15
racket him, his gay little tennis. I love him. I think I
22:18
think that I think that you know, as again, you know, as
22:22
you've got to when you've got guys like Cornette with minds like he's got,
22:26
you know, and and and what you get is you get a little bit
22:30
of the Bolshevic, you know. And that's what I love about him.
22:33
He's a bit of a Bolshevic. You know. Cornett could be anywhere he
22:37
wanted to, but he's picked out a place where he wants to be.
22:41
He picked out a place where he feels fit, like he fits in there.
22:45
And he also picked a place because he likes the product they're producing.
22:51
Yeah, and he could he could be if he wanted to, He could
22:55
be any place that he wanted right now, Jim Cornett and Nette has a
23:00
wonderful mind. But again, is he's a bit of a ball for pick
23:03
you know? Is he uh? I should go his own way and do
23:06
his own thing, you know what? Sometime is absolutely ubsurd. Terry.
23:11
We're discussing before about ECW, and a lot of fans want to know because
23:15
recently Tena ran a ECW type of reunion show booked by one of your protege's,
23:21
Tommy Dreamer. Was there any contact by Tommy Dreamer or TNA to you
23:25
to come in for that one night only reunion show a couple of weeks ago.
23:29
Well, and I think that they, I think that they knew that
23:32
I wouldn't gonna go. You know, I made statement before I'm not going
23:34
down here, right you know, And there's no I don't want to go
23:38
down here. And if I wanted to go, I'd call him up and
23:42
tell him I wanted to be there. Got you, you know, and
23:45
I think that they knew that if they made the you know, I mean
23:49
and it wouldn't it would be about they made the gesture detending I wouldn't go,
23:53
you know, and uh no, nar would I did? I want
23:59
to go in a ring attack time? You know? So you know what
24:02
am I gonna be some it is sitting around the ring side there are Let's
24:08
get the spotlight. Let's look at uh well, Terry. Let's let's let
24:15
me ask you a couple of questions here and then we'll get ready to see
24:18
you September eleventh, in New York City, the Manhattan Center for the Ring
24:22
of Honor, Glory by Honor. Okay, so here we go. Let's
24:26
looking back on your long and illustrious career. Here, who would you say
24:30
your your favorite match was against it? Maybe it's a Funk Brothers match or
24:36
an individual match, your favorite when you got done that match, and it
24:40
may even be the most the most recent and last US match you were involved
24:44
in. But where you got done, you said, man, it really
24:47
it's gonna be tough to beat that. Well, you know, I I
24:51
you know, and this is why it is. And I, you know,
24:53
I'm gonna just tell you the truth. You know. You can't.
24:56
You can't. I cannot put it in a favorite match. I gotta put
24:59
it in matches because there's been so many different ones, you know, my
25:03
favorite match, I mean going in the ring with luthes and wrestling Luthez,
25:07
you know, going in the ring with Jean Kaninsky and wrestling Jean Kaninsky.
25:12
You know, being in the ring with my brother, even with the brother
25:17
versus brother probably one of the few times it's been done in the business.
25:22
It has been done now, but at one of the few times at the
25:25
time that's been done, you know, Going in the ring with Abdula the
25:29
Mutcher and making uh why would I like to say, going in the ring
25:33
with him because I made a ship pot full of money with him, use
25:36
my language, you know, And that's the truth, you know. And
25:40
going in the ring with Harley Race and yeah, but just so many things,
25:44
you know, And and being in the ring with guys that like uh,
25:48
you know that I can go back to, you know, with bern
25:51
Gania, and being in the rings with guys like Iron, Mike de Biasi,
25:56
who is a wonderful mentor and the father of Teddy. You know,
26:00
and and just on and on and on and on and on, you know,
26:03
being in the ring with all of the Japanese greats. You know,
26:07
it's just it's it's uh, you know, to single one thing out and
26:12
say, well, that was the best thing that I ever did. Being
26:15
in the ring with my father. That was probably the greatest thing that I
26:18
ever did, was be in the ring with my father and be in the
26:22
ring with a six and a sixth man with my brother, myself and my
26:26
father in the ring, and uh, that was that was a pleasure.
26:33
That that was beyond beyond all of the pleasures. I have to say that
26:38
I like that. You know, well it watch what would you who would
26:42
you say right now? And I'm sure that the list is probably equally as
26:45
long, but I'll ask the question who right now? Would you never want
26:49
to have to spend any time with again that you've met from the wrestling biz,
26:53
meaning sit down and have lunch, have a coffee, sit down and
26:56
discuss anything, or take a phone call from somebody that you just said last
27:00
time you saw them, lasting me, deal with him, forget it.
27:03
That's done. I'm not going to deal with him again. Uh not not
27:11
really. I don't. I don't think, you know. I mean I
27:12
would sit down with anybody if they called me up. Okay, you know,
27:18
do I have to have people that I don't care for? You?
27:21
But would I would? I not want to sit down with him. I
27:26
want to sit down with everybody at this time in my life. You know,
27:30
if there was a hatchets to be buried, well, hell, I'd
27:33
like to bury him, you know. I mean that's just the way I
27:37
feel at this point in my life. You know, who who would you
27:41
feel? Right now? There was there's probably one what was his name?
27:45
My gosh, I'll think of it in a minute. He was, Oh,
27:51
my gosh. He was from the East Coast and up there, and
27:53
he was a promoter and he was going to take over the whole United States.
27:57
And he was on the air plane and I was on the airplane and
28:02
he got off, and I got off, and I went ahead, and
28:06
yeah, you ought to make us a trivia question, and I went ahead,
28:10
And trust me, right now, Jeff is racking trying to figure out
28:11
he had television in our territory. And I snatched him on the airplane in
28:18
Atlanta, Georgia. And whenever I snatched him as I grabbed him by the
28:23
lapel and I shook him and I said, don't you ever ever ever put
28:30
that TV in our territory again. You better get it off the air.
28:33
And he went ahead and went out to a place where you had come through.
28:37
You know, well, you had an inspection there. I checked for
28:41
the medal. And he came through there and he was a promoter on the
28:44
East coast and he was promoting an organization up there, and he went through
28:48
there and he tore his lapels on the way and he went ahead and he
28:52
said that I kicked him in the testicles. And they were waiting for me
28:56
whenever I came through there, and they put me in jail. Wow.
29:00
So I would like to go ahead, and uh uh, that's the one
29:06
guy I didn't like. I'm trying to think of his name, But somebody
29:08
out there would be a question, who was that? Who was it?
29:11
Yeah, we're Martinez, Pedro Martinez, Martinez, okay, Pedro Martinez.
29:19
Yeah. He had me drown in jail. Wow. And then he went
29:22
ahead and sued me for eighteen million dollars. Oh yeah, I assumed me
29:27
and I had to go to court in Atlanta, Georgia. I went better,
29:32
and he said that I kicked him in the testicles, and he had
29:34
a picture of one one side of his testicles. I don't want to use
29:38
any first words on everybody. He had one great, big, huge testicle
29:44
in the picture. You know what. They found me guilty. They found
29:48
me guilty, and I did nothing to that, and so I settled for
29:52
five thousand dollars out of court. So Pedro Martinez, you better be You
29:59
know, he's not around anymore and still but somewhere the picture of his testicle
30:04
is the day I might like to beat the shit ouel. I wish you
30:07
the best, I hope here in heaven, but I would like to beat
30:11
him. I just like that. Terry would also like to say, is
30:15
he would like to beat the other testicle and have a shot at it.
30:17
And actually, if he's paying the five thousand dollars to give him shot the
30:19
other that I was supposed to kick him. Oh, Terry, all right,
30:27
let's let me let me see if if anybody else in the chat room
30:30
has any more questions or if we're just gonna get ready to wrap this thing
30:33
up here, cause if you've got anything otherwise, I'm gonna mention where you
30:37
can see Terry and get autographs from Terry Funk. The legend, well about
30:41
ten years ago was when Beyond the Mat came out. Terry, how I
30:45
mean maybe over a little bit of time here or even at the time,
30:48
how did you How did you like that movie? And how did you like
30:53
how it portrayed you? I thought it was it was just it wasn't you
31:00
know, I portrayed me as what it was me. I mean, it
31:04
was a documentary. I mean, he came to my house. He's been
31:08
a great deal of time with me, and after a while, as I
31:15
forgot the Cameron was there, I'm very bloss seen as a wonderful individual in
31:21
person. I liked him very much, and uh, he just kind of
31:25
moved in with us for a while, my wife and I, you know,
31:27
and it wasn't like there was even found him going on, you know.
31:33
And evidently it was that way with Jake too. Yeah, yeah,
31:37
because he's evidently evidently he must have not thought her a found me going on
31:44
pretty relaxed, pretty relaxed, relaxing high But you know, either case,
31:48
Yeah, Terry, just want to get your your final thoughts on one.
31:52
Vincec Man, what a what are your thoughts about the great vincec Man honestly
32:01
and seriously, yes, is uh I actually uh, I don't like him.
32:16
And the reason I don't like him, and I mean that from the
32:21
bottom of my heart, is that he won, which which that will forever
32:30
bother me. Uh. He made me a great deal of money. He's
32:36
made a great deal of the people. Uh, in the world of wrestling
32:40
money. I you know, I cannot uh you know, I mean,
32:47
he's made more million Would I have made that many millionaires? I'm not sure
32:52
I would have, you know. And what I have paid what he paid,
32:59
I'm not sure I would have. So uh, you know, as
33:05
you've got to remember that I called back a long time and that's hard to
33:08
hard, too hard to saber, right, it's hard to swallow, you
33:15
know. And uh, that's just that's just me. It's the way that
33:19
I was raised is you're always to be a winner. And uh maybe,
33:23
uh maybe, who knows, you know, if I don't think it could
33:30
have been changed. But he won the ball game, and it's his ball
33:36
game as far as wrestling as we know it is concerned. The last question
33:40
that the last question I've got for Terry Funk here and that for answering you
33:45
on that love it. That was a good answer and honest from the heart.
33:50
I appreciate that. And uh as as we're getting ready to wrap up
33:53
the interview here and you're heading out for the Ring of Honor Glory by Honor
33:57
nine at the Manhattan Center, New York City on septemb or eleventh, let
34:00
me make it. You're gonna be You're gonna be meeting and you have I
34:02
presume, over the length of your career met new generations and new generations and
34:07
new generations of wrestling fans. Some of them may have seen your matches on
34:10
television. Some of them may be referring to DVDs or old tapes of Funk
34:15
Brothers or Terry Funk matches. The question that I've got for you is,
34:20
through all of them, what is the way that you want Terry Funk to
34:23
be remembered when it's all said and done. Like, I've got a daughter
34:28
who's three right now, She's not watching any wrestling yet, but how how
34:31
would you want to be remembered to even her generation? How do you want
34:36
everybody to remember Terry Funk well, honestly and seriously and bottom line as I
34:46
can be is are you there? Yeah? Okay, we're still here relisting
34:53
for a minute, honestly and seriously and just as trade as I can be
34:59
with you, as you know, as I it means more to me a
35:06
great, great deal to me to be remembered as a good person. I
35:15
mean, I want to go out of this world and be remembered as a
35:19
good person. And that's not easoun do, no, No, There's a
35:25
lot of things to get thrown in your way. But Terry, what a
35:30
great time talking with you. I've had such a great time talking with you.
35:32
Look forward to seeing you at the Manhattan Center, New York City,
35:35
September eleventh. Best of luck out there with the autographs signing, it'll sound
35:39
like it'll be. I mean, first of all, I know this firsthand.
35:42
Those Ring of Honor fans are passionate. That's gonna be a fun time
35:45
for you. You're really going to enjoy yourself there, and it's good to
35:49
talk with you. I'm a passionate person too, you know. I'm just
35:53
looking forward to to be an out on behalf of ourself here at the Wheelhouse.
36:00
Uh and uh and Jeff Peck and his friends as well, thank you
36:02
for all the years of extreme wrestling. If it weren't for you, we
36:06
wouldn't be watching it. And thank you so much for that. Well,
36:09
I don't know, hope, I don't hope it weren't for me. There
36:13
was a whole lot of other guys. You've got to dance with. Somebody
36:16
got you, Terry Funk. Thank you, sir. We'll look for you
36:19
at the Ring of Honor event Ring of Honor, Ring Glory by Honor nine
36:22
at the Manhattan Center, New York City on September eleven. Thanks Terry,
36:25
we appreciate it. Okay, alrighty, take care. There you go.
36:30
The legend Terry Funk, it was great the times. What are the chances
36:36
he's wrestling and Glory by Honor? Let me come on now. He was
36:38
coming hard at Cornett. Yeah, he wants Cornette pretty bad. I mean,
36:43
I just don't. Would you be shocked? No, You're gonna have
36:45
such a wrestling legend there. I mean, how could he not do anything
36:50
in the ring. He can't just be sitting there signing Honor have to not
36:53
get called into the ring. I know doing going to former Row eight shows
36:58
the past year, them invited that when they do the autograph events, it's
37:01
it's well before the show starts, right, but it's different. It's Terry
37:05
Funk. He's made a lot of history in the Manhattan Center of New York
37:07
City, a lot of resting fans respect him. They got to put him
37:12
the ring and have him do at least something. I mean when I mean
37:15
it was ten years ago, the Beyond the Mat came out and they were
37:17
I mean the big prominent part of that is his you know, retirement,
37:22
another retirement match that he had. Yeah, and for him to have just
37:25
said in the interview and it was like, I think my last match was
37:28
last year, and I was like, I almost almost choked on my own
37:30
tongue. It's like, wait a minute, that was that was like ten
37:35
years ago, and I wouldn't exactly at least fifteen retirement matches. As anybody
37:38
knows, when they talk about retirement and wrestling, they refer to Terry Funk,
37:43
because Terry Funk, like in The Beyond the Mat, retired in like
37:45
ninety seven ninety eight, had that match with Bret Harte unretired three months later,
37:50
came back to the WWF his chainsaw Charlie wrestled in w c W wrestled
37:53
a little bit of roh and you heard it from him. This last match
37:58
was in oh six, right in the Hammerstein. Let me ask you this,
38:00
does he take a bump? I mean, does he get I don't.
38:04
I don't know. If he and Cornette get into the ring together.
38:07
I mean Cornette and him in the ring would be just really cool for old
38:09
school fish sure, because there's both such good old school personas right, and
38:14
you're going to use old and bold letters. He is just uh, he's
38:20
just he's gonna do something. He's gonna it's kind of a slower match,
38:22
I would imagine, right, Yeah, I don't. I don't think it's
38:27
I think it's a yelling. It's somebody. Somebody takes a bump, and
38:30
I don't know who it is. I would have to imagine Cornett would take
38:34
the bump. I tell you what, man, Terry Funk forty, somebody
38:36
else. What does he now he's got he's sixty six, sixty two.
38:38
He wrestled I believe it was sixty two years old in two thousand and six,
38:42
and the dude was was hanging in there with Edge and Tommy Dreamer and
38:45
Mick Foley he got his eye hurt. They had a bandit to his eye
38:49
up, and he came back out in barbed wire, flaming tables. Dude
38:52
sixty two years old. I'm lucky at that time. Now he's just gonna
38:58
other possible, that's possible. Just hey, if Rick muscle, it'll be
39:04
a blow. I think Terry finding and I think Terry fuck knows he probably
39:10
can't get back in there, but I'm sure if he's got one more left
39:13
and he'll do it. Yeah, I and I think that'll probably all come
39:15
down to. However, he's like right now, he's adamant that it's not
39:17
going to happen. But once he's there and he meets the fans and he
39:21
gets sort of that, he's gonnautograph. Terry gotta getting the rink tonight.
39:25
No, I'm not gonna get in the rink tonight. But you know they're
39:28
gonna they're gonna have some sort of moment. You know they're gonna guess what
39:30
he is. Tightser in that bag. Yeah, Terry's ready, tighter in
39:35
the back. Yeah, you got it. You gotta right, because I
39:37
don't know if you'll use them, but they are they're packed in they're packed
39:40
in the bag right next to a few eight by ten. There's a guy
39:43
that's been wrestling for five decades. Yeah, you know, former n W
39:46
A E c W champion. I'm got some history. I mean, it's
39:51
definitely the thought of five decades and flaming tables and if you think about that,
39:57
I mean that that's just from what we can recall from what he did
40:00
with wrestling here. But I mean he wrestled like crazy in Japan. So
40:04
I mean that guy, bad guy has played some of the probably the shittiest
40:08
houses that wrestling has ever been in. Well it's well, probably the biggest
40:12
events. Yeah. Well, here's the thing with Terry Funk. In the
40:15
sixties and then the seventies, he became MWA champion eighties, was still prominent
40:19
big in the nineties. I mean, he's in his fifties, right,
40:22
He's wrestling through tables, stump tacks in the Bingo Hall. HECW Arena in
40:25
Philly, which is well known to be like one hundred and ten degrees on
40:29
the marble wire around the ring, marble wire around the ring. He was
40:31
going over to Japan and wrestling mcfolio and matches that included C four. These
40:36
these guys were exploding themselves up. And he's in his late forties, early
40:39
fifties and he still kick its a mass. I don't he's hardcore. He's
40:45
hard would say that. That's the end of the list. He's from the
40:49
double X Ranch, double x rands. That's all right, right, Armarillo,
40:53
Texas double Cross double cross double cross Ranch. Good times, very funk
41:00
brothers. Well, listen, we'll take a quick break when we come back.
41:02
I know there's some football talk that we should be discussing. Plus an
41:05
opportunity for somebody who's listening right now to join the Wheelhouse, one of the
41:08
three positions left in the Wheelhouse Fantasy football League. Here at the Wheelouse,

41:19
we're there, at least in to here. I was supposed to be
41:21
the frenchise player and were in here talking about practice. I mean, listen,
41:25
we're talking about practice, not a game, not a game, not
41:30
a game, We're talking about practice the Wheelhouse. This is clearly nuts.

41:52
didn't complain that the dog had ruined his manicured fingernails and they're shiny, translucent
41:58

42:01
In fact, he doesn't even know what the word manicure means. He
42:05
thinks it's when a guy gets better. With the snarling beast still digging into
42:08
his hand, Pardu didn't pull some woosey crap and try to reason with the

got some pizza, A wonderful woman of the Lord taking care of me tonight.
43:52
Torayl Will you be hitting your funk sunk cream up chowder? I don't
43:58
know, Mom, but if you give me about thirty seconds, I'll be
44:01
sharing my childer with a real close friend here. In fact, I'm gonna
44:06
share right about no no, when you want to share a little love with
44:15
one of your really close friends. Damn baby, you took that like a
44:19
trooper. Can I buy you a drink? Try Funky Chunky soup? Funky
44:23
Chunky, the soup that comes out hot and goes down easy. Oh listen,
44:29
Larry the cable Guy. Hey, this is Sami little desk Pats his
44:31
lowest gripping from Family nine. And you're listening to them the Wheelhouse. And
44:36
if you're not, get you at the country, you're a commune. Get
44:39
it done. Welcome back to the Wheelhouse. Wheelhouse Radio dot com is our
44:46
website. You will find the first ever true Blood podcasts, simply known as
44:54
Bad Things with Cause and Power. It's available for download. Still real Toss
44:59
a little bit later on this week the death will this show with Terry Funky
45:01
up there later on this evening? Uh cause before we get to any of
45:05
the thoughts and stories and whatnot, here do we have nice twits ready to
45:07
go this evening, ready to go. I was able to put it together
45:12
despite the fact that Johnny Damon's a pussy. Thank you for that introduction.
45:17
That's I listened to be able to relate two things that have nothing to do
45:23
with each other. We were talking about it before. I mean, he's
45:27
just I don't understand the us Why I don't understand it? The king,
45:31
I would say, Kate, you don't understand my feelings. Don't understand.
45:35
You don't understand what he doesn't. He doesn't understand what Damon's fucking problem is.
45:38
It's just I said to Bauer, I said, that means he's a
45:42
Yankee. I mean, that's what it is. He's not a he's not
45:44
a Red Sox. He's a Yankee. Rather where he is little Red Sox.
45:46
Right, I don't get it. You have a chance to play in
45:49
the playoffs. He also still thinks that Detroit's in the race, and oh
45:53
god, no, I gave that truck, didn't I not give that up?
45:55
At the halfway point of the season, it was already done. Fish
45:59
can athmatically, we're still in it, just like everybody else is. See
46:02
what kind of fire we have going in the last month. He also wanted
46:06
to make sure that he got assurances from Jim Leland that he was going to
46:08
still be in the lineup, so he felt his zoe. By staying there
46:13
in Detroit, he's in much better shape than going to the Red Sox,
46:15
who were five games out of the wild Card. Because how bad did it
46:21
getting boss was? It really was? It like they wanted to kill Johnny
46:23
Damon. That's what they're making it sound like. Here's the thing. No,
46:27
it's what he's making it sound like. Okay, here's the thing.
46:30
We're really disappointed that he left to go to the Yankees. Right deal from
46:37
the Angels if he went and he got a huge deal from the Mets,
46:39
if he went he got a huge deal from the Cardinals, we wouldn't have
46:44
given two ships. We would have applauded him, stood for him when he
46:49
came back. When you come back in pinstripes, No, you're not getting
46:54
a standing ovation. You're not getting the oh well, after all of the
46:59
wonderful times we had together after that, and then you completely blew us off
47:06
to go for a team to give you more money. That's our heated rival,
47:08
historically, over one hundred years rival. Why on God's green earth would
47:15
we applaud you for making that decision? Right, So, yeah, we're
47:20
as a part of Red Sox Nation. Hurt. Yes, but hold on,
47:24
let let me see, let me see if I can clear this up
47:27
rather quickly. But here, with this offer and the picking him up on
47:30
waivers, you guys would have been accepting of him coming back to the team
47:34
and giving him another shot and said, hey, let's just let's see what
47:37
you got, buddy, Let's see if you can kind of help this team
47:38
make it to that World Series yet again. But it was him being the
47:43
ultimate puss about it and saying that he had on his list the Yankees and
47:46
didn't have the Sox. That kind of makes you go, you know what,
47:50
buddy, fuck you even more. The poll that was on the Boston
47:53
Globe website had sixty forty for the Red Sox fans accepting him with open arms.
48:00
I got a text from another buddy saying, I can't wait to see
48:02
Johnny Damon back in Red Docks uniform. I mean, seriously, you go
48:08
with the team that literally announced to everybody, nah, we don't want you.
48:14
Yeah, thanks for the World Series, but good luck to you,
48:19
but we've got Marcus. You'd rather have Nick Johnson. Yeah. I hated
48:23
that they let Damon go see. But this is my point. He was
48:27
afraid that if he went back as a Red Sock in some way, shape
48:30
or formed, that Yankees fans would be mad at him. Then would you
48:32
be mad at it for going back to the Red Sox right now, Jeff?
48:36
Probably, well, especially the Yankees loss of the Red Sex exactly.
48:38
Yeah, definitely no, he I understand that, But totally different circumstances,
48:44
you'd say, right, yeah, definitely not him leaving New York reflecting the
48:49
rival to go to Let me make this a little bit more applicable to Jeff
48:53
Pack. So, Jeff Pack, oh, here we go. This should
48:57
be good. You uh, couple of years ago, ended up banging causes
49:01
girlfriend. Okay, all right, she stays with you for a little bit.
49:06
You guys are all moved in together. She makes a nice house.
49:09
She I don't know, it's not important. You don't care about that part.
49:12
You finally got vagina. That's the part you care about. Right,
49:14
Let's forget so that you get you're getting. She's making dinners for you,
49:17
keeps a clean house for a couple of years. You finally decide, you
49:21
know what, there's more vagina out there. I don't need her anymore.
49:22
I'm gonna let her. I put her on Vagina wavers her Vagina no longer
49:28
needed here. You don't listen, you don't have to go home, you
49:30
just can't stay here. So and she has a no trade clause. So
49:34
and this which, by the way, if Jeff Beck, if you are
49:36
not naming your fantasy football team Vagina wavers, I like that idea. I
49:40
know I got a lot of hell for naming my team. And you know
49:45
what, you got that hell before I even started it. I will,
49:46
I will do it. So I started dating your girl, which is causes
49:52
ex girl. Wow, she and I start dating for a little bit.
49:54
You're I'm very excited about the opportunity. It's totally cool with it. Okay,
50:00
I'm very excited about the opportunity. Kim likes it because Kim can go
50:04
work and there's somebody here to take care of the house. So it's great.
50:07
And then what happens is I decide, listen, it's been real it's
50:10
been fun, but it hasn't been real fun. You kind of have to
50:13
go and cause says, hey, baby, I'll bring you back into my
50:16
life. I got plenty of room here. Why don't you come back and
50:19
join us? And she says, I'm an even bigger house than I have
50:22
before, and all of the extra money that I've made, right and even
50:25
then, I don't even have you on my list of guys I want to
50:29
come back to. Now is there on the front lawn? Hold on,
50:30
Let's just let's just move forward. Let's say she does go back with cause,
50:35
are you jealous that she's going back to the guy? Nobody? Now?
50:39
Well, I don't know, You're probably with some hot model. I
50:40
don't. I have no idea. Or maybe it's a little bit more true
50:44
to life. And it's just I would be upset if Damon went back to
50:45
Red Sox. You would, I would be, Yeah, you would?
50:49
I think so because I like Damon. You know, it took a while
50:52
for him to grow on me as a Yankee fan, him being a form
50:53
of red sock. But you know, I really enjoyed his work. I
50:55
thought he should have been resigned. An I'm a big fan of Johnson Tim's
51:00
I just don't get that. I do not get that. The team itself
51:04
was the one who literally looked at you, Jeff Beck, and said,
51:06
nah, we're not bringing Johnny. But I don't agree with a lot of
51:08
the Yankee moves. Most of the time. I think I sounded the show
51:10
and said, yes, that's very true. But at the same time,
51:15
if the team didn't do what you wanted, how can you fault him for
51:20
one in to go get a ring. I wouldn't fault him at all that
51:22
sense. I would be upset that he went to the red Sock red Sock.
51:24
But I want to be up that upset at him. No, I
51:28
want to be up that upset that he uh that if he did in the
51:30
off season this past year. Let me try it this way. If he
51:34
came back here later on the season. I don't even know if the Red
51:37
Socks go to Yankee Stadium again or not. I don't even know. But
51:38
if he came back and went to the Yankee Stadium moves dressed as a red
51:42
Sock, would you boo? Probably? I don't get that. It's the
51:47
same thing. I wouldn't get up a cheater. I don't cheer red sock
51:52
players. You know, it's the same thing. I didn't say he had
51:53
to cheer him. You know. It's like if I asked if you would
51:57
boot, wouldn't be that loud get a clarification if he if I'd be disappointed
52:04
if he went to Tampa Bay obviously another I think and Tapa Bay came to
52:08
town. Would you boo him if you were in a Yeah, definitely,
52:12
I mean Tampa neck and neck right now the al Yeah, I would you
52:15
boo him for going to Tampa Bay. I think blew the player that the
52:19
team didn't resign, Yes, purpose purposefully. It's not that he spurned the
52:23
Yankees to go make more money somewhere else. Allah what he did the Red
52:28
Sox. You'd rather because after Detroit gives up on him, essentially because they
52:32
gave up on their season, they tried to get something. I'm not I'm
52:35
not faulting the guy for wanting to ring. Want to win a ring,
52:38
right, but I'd be I'd be disappointed. So yeah, i'd boo him.
52:42
Yeah, I'm not gonna go up to play standing ovation, so it
52:45
would be a disappointment. Boom, It's it's anybody in the division. If
52:47
he went to Toronto. I think the only time I had cheer from was
52:51
if he was in an Oils Jersey. Okay, I just don't. I
52:53
just don't. I don't get I don't get the booing him in this situation
52:55
as a Yankee fan, but don't. Well, we may not ever come
53:00
to an understanding or conclusion on that, but we do have an understanding conclusion
53:04
that this show is going to wrap up in about eight minutes, and that
53:07
we do have yet to get to Hayni's twits as well as giveaway one spot
53:12
left, not one spot left, but one of the three spots left in
53:15
the Wheelhouse Fantasy Football League. So here's what my thought is right now,
53:19
if we can get everybody loaded up in calling three four seven two three seven
53:22
fifty two oh three, what's going to happen is this Jeff Peck will be
53:25
playing for one of you on the phone lines. I will be playing for
53:29
the other one of you on the phone lines, will be hold on,
53:34
I did pretty well last week. Will be We'll be winning a spot.
53:37
So one of the two lines that we pick up will be winning a spot
53:42
in the Wheelhouse Fantasy Baseball Baseball Football League. So cause when we read it
53:46
roll, let's give the intro once again, and this is open it agaybody,
53:49
anybody and everybody, Like last night Outlaw called in not not what I
53:52
would consider to be an old time Wheelhouse fan. Don't have to be.
53:55
There's no trivia questions, there's none of that. If you're listening right now,
53:59
be your first time, or you like fantasy football or the fifty first
54:01
time. This week, I gotta cost your money. Just want to play
54:06
in the fantasy football league. That also should be a crucial element. Yeah,
54:07
we're not get a T shirt that says cause rape metes. We're not
54:13
wagering here. There's no money involved at least as far as you know.
54:16
So give you this from last week. Would be happy to dish that out.
54:22
Uh So, here's the deal. You gotta call that three four seven
54:25
two three. That's all you have to do is call. If you call
54:30
in, you've got a shot of being in the fantasy football league. Because
54:31
Jeff is playing for one of you, I'm playing for another one of you.
54:36
In this tonight's edition of Hey nice twits, twitter twitter twitter twitter twitter
54:42
tweet twitter twitter twitter twitter twitter twitter nice twits. All right, this is
54:51
a game where Cause has been patrolling and trolling all of the intranets to get
54:57
you the actual twitters made by celebrities, athletes, and other people that we
55:01
don't care about and generally make fun of uh that said he'll give us an
55:07
actual Twitter. The job of myself and Jeff Peck is to guess which celebrity
55:12
out of the four possible choices said that Twitter. If we get it right,
55:16
then the point goes our direction. Right now, nobody's calling in.
55:20
I tried to make this as easy as possible for everybody, did I not?
55:22
Cause I said last night I would make it so easy. And it's
55:27
not like nobody's listening because we had an awesome chat room tonight going for Terry
55:30
Funk, right, adh L Jeter fan is gloating, Well, yeah,
55:35
he's already in from last night. But he's already after last night. Yeah,
55:37
so if this is a wrestling fantasy league, we would have been just
55:40
rolling in people. Literally, all you have to do is fucking call three
55:45
four seven two three seven point fifty two zero three one of the two of
55:50
us, Jeff Pecker myself will be winning in this. And thus I've heard
55:54
of listeners going to call our STFU line and sing, oh that has not
56:00
shown up yet, necessary welcome to last week? Yeah, thank you?
56:04
All right, cause let's get ready to roll here with Twitter number one.
56:08
I think we should we should have the ability to remove someone from the league.
56:12
Now, is that is that we're gonna do just some random somebody who
56:15
had nothing to do with the cold fall on anyone? Yeah? About and
56:20
I could pick I pick eighty eight? Wow? All right, here we
56:25
go. I was bitching because I had to get my Bentley fixed. Then
56:31
I said to myself, how the fucking you bitch about fixing a Bentley?
56:36
Yo? What's up? Is that Rampage Jackson, Iced Tea? Ludicrous or
56:45
P Diddy? Wow? That's hey, welcome to the sweet nasty Twitter account.
56:52
P Diddy Wow? I like that? All right? So it's iced
56:55
Tea, Rampage Jackson, P Diddy? And who was the other one?
57:00
Ludicrous Luda? All right? Uh, Jeff Pack, I'm gonna go with
57:07
Rampage Jackson. Do you think he's got a Bentley? Did make some good
57:10
cash doing the UFC. You gotta figure he's got something, right, I
57:15
say, one of the more reflective of the of that bunch is going to
57:22
have to be Iced Tea. So we've got Rampage and iced tea, cause
57:25
or either one of us correct on tweet number one. One of you is
57:30
correct. As Michael Bower takes him one nothing lead. He's self reflective.
57:36
Well, you know, ice Tea has just been arrested recently, so I
57:38
feel like he's trying to do look at the bright side of numerous things.
57:42
He's a glass half full tea? What right? Now? That was that
57:49
motherfucking iced tea? Yes? He has, by the way, an amazing
57:52
job that he did as the voiceover to the other guys. I just want
57:55
to highlight that I didn't another all right, stop giving stuff away? He
58:00
would? You just want to say, all right, here we go.
58:02
You're gonna hurt just feelings after you totally just stiffed him. Twit Twit number
58:07
two? Are you gonna cry now? Just with this music? Twit number
58:13
two? Does anyone without a country accent love America? Oh? Good?
58:19
Is that? Natasha Lagero, Sarah Silverman, Diablo Cody or chel Oh all
58:29
right, I'm gonna go Diablo Cody on that one. Who's the first bitch?
58:34
She's the girl who was the judge on last Comic Standing this year?
58:37
That's her. Yeah, who's the first bitch? Very respectful? I wonder
58:43
why you're not going man after Isaiah Thomas's part. I'm gonna go with Chelsea
58:47
Chelsea Handler, Diablo, Cody Cause or either one of us correct a tweet
58:52
number two, son of a big All right, I'm gonna go Natasha.
58:58
You're gonna go Sarah? Yeah? Sure, okay, did I have a
59:00
choice? No one of you is correct? Yes, we are so smart,
59:06
and Bowers sweeps with the two nothing lead. Wow, Wow, amazing,
59:10
isn't it? See it would have been that easy for somebody. If
59:13
somebody had just called in, somebody could have been that would have been right
59:17
there. Congratulations, you're taking up that eighth spot in the Wheelhouse Fantasy Football
59:22
League. But no, no, now, you're just gonna make yourself work
59:25
harder. I understand you want to challenge. Good for you. You got
59:29
it. Tomorrow is what the fuck? Wednesday? Cause? Are you here?
59:31
Are you have softball? Softball? All right? Jeff Peck and I
59:35
will be here. We will also be joined by Gary Cannon, comedian stand
59:38
up comedy comedy, and he also opens for Mitch as well as Ralphie May
59:43
A couple of other people are thanks to Terry the Legend for the champ,
59:47
Jeff Peck for these sweet nasty Chris Cause, and myself, Bower. I
59:51
say to you see
