- 0:09Speaker 2: back to Mark Zimone on woar.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Hey, we'll take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 0:16Speaker 1: zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to Kathy North, Carolina. Kathy,
- 0:21Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 0:22Speaker 3: Hey? Mark, it's good to talk to you.
- 0:24Speaker 4: It's good to hear you.
- 0:26Speaker 3: I have a random question. I know you're not a
- 0:28Speaker 3: financial guru, but of course your friend Larry Cudlow is,
- 0:31Speaker 3: so maybe he can answer this someday. All that money
- 0:34Speaker 3: that Doge saved billions and billions, where does that show up?
- 0:38Speaker 2: Like?
- 0:38Speaker 3: Where is it being pocketed? Is it in the It
- 0:41Speaker 3: doesn't seem to be in the budget. The budget would
- 0:43Speaker 3: have been missing several billion dollars because we didn't have
- 0:47Speaker 3: to pay out to that. So I just I remember
- 0:49Speaker 3: talking about it and hearing about it. But where does
- 0:52Speaker 3: it physically show up?
- 0:53Speaker 1: Well, it doesn't show up. It's just the actual budget
- 0:56Speaker 1: drops bending drops a little.
- 0:57Speaker 5: Now.
- 0:57Speaker 1: The problem is you got Congress, and Republicans are just
- 1:01Speaker 1: as bad as Democrats. Whenever there's money, they start spending
- 1:04Speaker 1: it again. That's the problem. You can keep cutting the spending,
- 1:07Speaker 1: but Democrats and Republicans in Congress keep bringing it back.
- 1:11Speaker 3: But you're telling me that if if we didn't if
- 1:14Speaker 3: we didn't do dose, then this outrageous budget would be
- 1:18Speaker 3: that many more billion more.
- 1:19Speaker 1: I mean, yes, yes, yes, yes, So.
- 1:22Speaker 3: You are a financial guru.
- 1:24Speaker 1: No, it's a simple common sense. If you get rid
- 1:26Speaker 1: of seven hundred thousand people, your pay roll is less money. Obviously,
- 1:30Speaker 1: I know, but I know it's North Carolina, but this
- 1:33Speaker 1: is not hard to figure out what's going on down
- 1:36Speaker 1: there in North Carolina.
- 1:38Speaker 3: It's beautiful today. Fall is coming. I'm not my favorite season.
- 1:42Speaker 3: I really love summer, but it's here. It's quite nice.
- 1:46Speaker 3: And we have that big we have a big governor's
- 1:50Speaker 3: race going on, I guess, or no, I guess the
- 1:52Speaker 3: governor is running for the Senate seat. So we're going
- 1:55Speaker 3: to look for that. I'm going to try to stock
- 1:58Speaker 3: you out with that.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Say hello to Barney, wife and OPI and everybody down there,
- 2:01Speaker 1: and hey, hey, we love North Carolina. It's a great place.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Thanks for calling. Let's go to Dave in Chicago. Dave,
- 2:10Speaker 1: how you doing, good morning, Mark.
- 2:12Speaker 6: I'm doing very well.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Mark.
- 2:14Speaker 6: I know in the recent past we were all told
- 2:17Speaker 6: not to use TikTok because it came from China and
- 2:20Speaker 6: it stole all of our personal information. My question is
- 2:24Speaker 6: what's the latest status, because I know President Trump does
- 2:28Speaker 6: have a TikTok account.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Yeah you can. Well, you know he's got so many phones.
- 2:33Speaker 1: You can have one on a phone that is not
- 2:35Speaker 1: on his phone. But it'll get safer and safer. I
- 2:39Speaker 1: get to wait till it's completely turned over to the
- 2:42Speaker 1: new Board of Directors. So instead of the communist Chinese
- 2:45Speaker 1: having all your data, Larry Ellenson will have it. It'll
- 2:47Speaker 1: be Oracle and some other people running it. But should
- 2:50Speaker 1: be safer. It should be safe. Hey, nowadays all these
- 2:52Speaker 1: apps steal everything. You just don't want to go into
- 2:54Speaker 1: the communist Chinese government. Who knows what they're up to there.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike, how you doing,
- 3:01Speaker 1: Good morning, Mark, that's Mike.
- 3:03Speaker 5: He listening to the ads you played from the candidates.
- 3:05Speaker 5: Don't you find it funny that in this day and age,
- 3:08Speaker 5: the ads haven't changed much. It's still I'll be ready
- 3:11Speaker 5: on day one. They'll have one eventually with the guy
- 3:13Speaker 5: sitting in the diner. It's like there's a million people
- 3:16Speaker 5: online who have like clever memes and you know, have
- 3:19Speaker 5: unique takes on things, and these politicians still can't get
- 3:22Speaker 5: out of the twentieth century.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a very good point. Now, the reason for
- 3:26Speaker 1: that is there's only a handful of these political consultants,
- 3:30Speaker 1: and they go from campaign to campaign and teach everybody
- 3:34Speaker 1: the same exact ad. You know, if you're a great
- 3:37Speaker 1: consultant and incredible marketing video, you're gonna go to work
- 3:39Speaker 1: for all these big corporations. You're not gonna do politics.
- 3:42Speaker 1: But that's a good point. Yeah, they all do this.
- 3:44Speaker 1: I'll be ready on day one. So what everybody's ready
- 3:47Speaker 1: on day one? Every hey, iHeart every major company. We
- 3:51Speaker 1: hire people all the time. Day one, they show up,
- 3:54Speaker 1: they're ready. We've never had anybody who we hired say
- 3:59Speaker 1: I'm not ready. I can't stop, I'll have to come
- 4:02Speaker 1: back another time. I'm just not ready. Everybody is ready
- 4:04Speaker 1: day one. Let's go to Stan in Forest Hills, Stan.
- 4:08Speaker 1: How you're doing, How you doing?
- 4:09Speaker 2: Happy holidays? I just want to say, you know, I
- 4:13Speaker 2: keep hearing that's socialism, which I'm not a.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Communist, but you sound like a communist.
- 4:19Speaker 2: No, no, I'm not a sound like one. Do you
- 4:21Speaker 2: ever hear yourself?
- 4:22Speaker 1: But that's a little bit of a communist, you don't know.
- 4:24Speaker 2: The point is, we have socialistic programs in this country
- 4:28Speaker 2: that are extremely successful. Well I mean to name them.
- 4:32Speaker 2: They called social Security. We pay into it, but it's
- 4:34Speaker 2: for the masses. We have Medicare, we pay that into it.
- 4:38Speaker 2: It's for the masses, and the greatest one is Medicaid,
- 4:41Speaker 2: which is.
- 4:42Speaker 1: In Southern I know that's an old old cliche Democrat.
- 4:44Speaker 2: It's not a cliche.
- 4:46Speaker 1: We got to cut you off there. It's an old
- 4:47Speaker 1: democratic cliche talking point. It's a government program. It's not socialist.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I mean, you could say that's what socialism is, government handouts,
- 4:55Speaker 1: but it's not a socialist. You can opt in, you
- 4:58Speaker 1: can opt out, you can do whatever the hell you want.
- 5:00Speaker 1: You cannot take it. Let's go to David in New Jersey. David,
- 5:03Speaker 1: how you.
- 5:04Speaker 4: Doing all right? Good morning? Thank you very much for
- 5:07Speaker 4: taking my call. This is the first time I ever called.
- 5:09Speaker 4: I listened to you. You're I think you're great. Thank
- 5:12Speaker 4: you for what you do.
- 5:14Speaker 1: When a guy butters you up first, it means he's
- 5:16Speaker 1: up to something. All right, go ahead.
- 5:18Speaker 4: I like to hear your opinion on this. We know this, Mondamie.
- 5:22Speaker 4: He's a he's an anti semi. The Jews in New
- 5:28Speaker 4: York has, from my understanding, has the biggest population outside Israel.
- 5:34Speaker 4: We know Como's a thief and a bump. What's wrong
- 5:37Speaker 4: with these Jews not voting against this guy? And they
- 5:40Speaker 4: aren't putting your.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Well, most of the Jewish community is totally against him,
- 5:44Speaker 1: working hard against him. And let me just defend and Cuomo,
- 5:46Speaker 1: I don't think that he's a thief, the worst governor ever. Yes,
- 5:50Speaker 1: a complete incompetent, a disgrace. Yes, all his sexual Yes,
- 5:56Speaker 1: a thief. No, we don't know if I'm actually stealing money.
- 5:59Speaker 4: But why aren't they putting their vote towards Sleeva?
- 6:02Speaker 1: I do A lot of them are? A lot of
- 6:04Speaker 1: them are.
- 6:06Speaker 4: So Sliwa should be running away with this instead of.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Well, we love the Jewish community, but it's a tiny,
- 6:12Speaker 1: tiny part of the electorate. It's not a big part
- 6:14Speaker 1: of it's not a big percentage of the votes, but
- 6:17Speaker 1: they are much of the Jewish community back in Sliva
- 6:20Speaker 1: and well, let's hope. So yeah, No, it's just unfortunately,
- 6:24Speaker 1: it's not a big enough part of the electorate. Again,
- 6:28Speaker 1: it's a turnout race. If you get huge turnout, Montdomie loses.
- 6:31Speaker 1: If you get what we've been getting for like Deblasio
- 6:34Speaker 1: or Eric Adams, where it's eighteen percent turnout twenty that's
- 6:37Speaker 1: where you have a problem. Hey, when we come back,
- 6:39Speaker 1: Liz Peak will be with us next, the great columnist.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Let's see what she thinks about all of this. We'll
- 6:44Speaker 1: get to that next on seven to ten. Wor
